In short

The episode argues that Trump’s response to Iran is failing and that U.S. economic policy is worsening costs. It claims Iran warned Trump he’s “a cornered rat” and that Trump’s “economic D-Day”/crushing sanctions are a diversion from U.S. debt and rising interest costs. It cites surging Treasury yields after a $4B bond buyback/liquidity scheme, higher diesel and gas prices, Walmart stock falling on affordability-driven demand weakness, and food affordability debates at USDA. It also alleges market manipulation, Bitcoin surging as crypto insiders profit, and U.S.-Iran-linked deportation coordination.

00Ben Meiselas:Donald Trump is panicking as Iran has issued yet another warning through its top officials. Iran has told Donald Trump, we know you are a cornered rat. We know that you are destroying the U.S. economy. You are not going to be able to wait this out. This as the treasury yields continue to surge. The bond buyback scheme by Donald Trump and Besant already failed. Treasury yields are surging again. We're seeing the price of diesel at an all-time high, almost$200 a barrel. The price of gas, the price of diesel surging. Walmart stock plummeted after they did not meet their expectations because people can't afford to buy things anymore.

48Ben Meiselas:Things are too expensive. So Donald Trump just sent out Treasury Secretary Besant to go in front of the White House. Besant looked absolutely flustered as he was being asked basic questions like, why all of a sudden is oil surging yet again when you all claimed that you had this under control? And the thing is, it's not all of a sudden. This is what's been happening. This is what we've been warning about. But Treasury Secretary Besant's like, I don't know. I don't know. Here, watch for yourself. We're declining. We've got a spike in oil prices today that I don't really understand. And our announcement is for economic action.

30And I think that the economic action will mean that oil prices will come down sooner.

36Ben Meiselas:Then Treasury Secretary Scott Besant also starts to blame Biden since the U.S. debt hit$40 trillion. Here's what he says. Let's play this clip. And remember, we did not get here in a day that we were left with a mess. The Biden administration had the highest deficit to GDP in history when we weren't at war or weren't in a recession. For 2025, we brought it down by more than a percent.

07Ben Meiselas:And then Donald Trump sent out Brooke Rollins, his agriculture secretary, on Newsmax and other right-wing media this morning. And she was asked, Is affordability becoming a test on whether the Trump administration can deliver on its economic promise? And she goes, Joe Biden did it. Joe Biden did it. No, you've been in charge for two years. Okay. Things are far more expensive right now. The American people know what's going on. Here, play this clip. With the midterms approaching, how do you see this playing out? Is food affordability really becoming a test of whether the Trump administration can deliver on its economic promises?

44is? No, affordability, you know, I think continues to be a key conversation as it should be. But I think we have to put this all into context and certainly on the food side, which is what we are looking at at USDA, protecting the food supply number one, but affordability as well. Under Joe Biden, the cost of food went up almost 25 percent. I mean, this is what we're battling against right now. Under Trump, we are right at the 20 year average, which is around two to three

13Ben Meiselas:Let's take a look at what these top Iranian officials are saying. You have Abraham Azizi, one of the top national security advisors to the Iranian parliament. And he says, we are watching your every move. Any further mistake or miscalculation will carry consequences far greater than before. This is a message to Donald Trump. End your presence in the region immediately before it is too late and accept Iran's new regional order. Garb Babadi, Iran's deputy foreign minister, writes, They claim Iran is on the brink of collapse and hanging by a thread, yet they beg all their allies to help them. The problem is the wrong calculations that each time to cover them up, they're forced to create a bigger failure for themselves.

06Ben Meiselas:The military war didn't yield results, so now they've named their next failure economic war. And that's in response to Donald Trump's post last night saying that we are launching the most crushing economic operation ever taken against any country. This will be economic warfare on an unprecedented scale. This will be economic D-Day for Iran. OK, well, let's bring in Treasury Secretary Scott Besant on his interview this morning where he is asked, well, you know, China has a ton of economic cooperation with Iran, as do many BRICS block nations. So are you saying you're going after China? Is that what Donald Trump's message meant?

50Ben Meiselas:Watch Treasury Secretary Besant goes, I got to leave this. These are going to be private conversations because the answer is no. and Donald Trump's weakness masquerading as weirdness. It's no longer weakness masquerading as strength. It's just a bunch of meaningless words as he commits fraud and runs off with Natalie while he destroys the United States of America. Watch what Besson says about China. Here, play this clip. This regime. Does it include China? Because that's the primary economic partner of Iran. Again, many conversations are best to have in private. And we are confident that everyone wants the straight reopen and for energy prices to come back down.

38And keep in mind that the Chinese get 50 % 5-0 of their energy from the Gulf. So it would do them a big service to get with the program. I have something crazy I have to say, so just hear me out. I don't mind scooping my cat's litter box anymore. Honestly, ever since I started feeding my cat Smalls, their poop has been healthier, smaller, and a lot less smelly. That's because Smalls is fresh, human-grade cat food that's made from high-quality meat, not cheap fillers. You see, meat is easy for my cats to digest, which means their bodies absorb more nutrients and healthier poops come out of their rear end.

20In contrast, the stuff I used to feed my cat was made with grains and artificial ingredients that were hard on my cat's body, and their nasty poops were proof of that. And Smalls isn't just good for digestion. 88 % of cat parents say that after feeding their cat Smalls, their cats have a softer and shinier fur coat and just have all around more energy to play. Also, overall, they just seem healthier because it's really good for cats. If you want to invest in your cat's health, Smalls is giving you 60 % off your cat's first order plus free shipping and free treats for life when you go to smalls.com slash Midas.

01If your cat doesn't like it, Smalls will refund 100 % of your order. But trust me, your cat's going to love the taste of Smalls and you'll love that your house no longer smells like a litter box all the time. That's 60 % off plus free shipping, and free treats for life when you go to smalls.com slash Midas.

21Ben Meiselas:And you have Iran's Foreign Minister Aragchi posting the following. The so-called economic D-Day by Donald Trump is a diversion from America's own crisis, unprecedented debt, and surging interest costs. Doubling down on failed policies will only bring further defeat and enmity of Iranians. U.S. economic terrorism threatens global economy and sovereignty worldwide. And we're seeing this morning the damage Donald Trump is doing even more pronounced. At 8.15 a.m. yesterday, the 10-year note yield was trading at 4.68 % when Treasury Secretary Besant announced his scheme that I was warning about yesterday.

09Ben Meiselas:this bond buyback scheme of$4 billion. The yield fell to a low of 4.63 % as he pledged to provide liquidity support. 24 hours later, the 10-year note yield is above level seen prior to the announcement at 4.71 % because they are manipulating the markets. But you know who did well in the past 24 hours? The people who were standing behind Donald Trump yesterday, the Bitcoin crypto bros, the techno bros who have sold out United States democracy for an incompetent, idiotic psychopath in the Oval Office. Because get this, Bitcoin now surging above$72 ,000 for the first time since June 1st as levered liquidations hit$3.4 billion in 24 hours.

02Ben Meiselas:And don't think that those people lost their money when Bitcoin crashed. No, they dumped it on the retailers, the retail investors, to hold their bag while they made killings when Bitcoin was above$100. And now that it's low, they're making their money again and they are going to be crushing the average American who they've already screwed over. We know that you have the price of WTI crude is approaching$95 a barrel. Brent crude is surging as well. You have over here at WTI,$87. Brent crude around$92, $93 and surging. And then we also learned this story this morning, that US immigration officials coordinated with Iranian authorities to deport more than 100 Iranians on three flights in late 2025 and early 2026, with newly released emails showing Iranian officials influence the deportee list and requested last minute changes.

10Ben Meiselas:The Trump administration continued prioritizing the deportations even during the 2025 US-Iran war, while Iranian officials were also given access to some detainees. So the group that Donald Trump is saying, we want to unleash economic warfare, when it came to deporting Iranians in the United States back to Iran, we were coordinating with Iranian officials to help Trump's ICE and Border Patrol, Gestapo. What in the hell? I mean, this is why this regime is looked at with horror, disgust, and our enemies are like laughing at us. What the hell is going on? Meanwhile, Donald Trump's, I guess, only remaining ally, the genocidal Netanyahu regime, posted the following this morning.

57Ben Meiselas:This is through Israel Katz. Their defense minister, Erdogan, the president of Turkey, is dragging Turkey into dangerous adventures in Syria. Israel will not allow any entity to threaten its security. It is preferable for Erdogan to continue delivering empty delusional speeches against Israel in the Turkish parliament rather than testing Israel's resolve to defend itself. As you know, yesterday, the Netanyahu regime blew up an airport in Syria that was somewhat close to Turkey, saying that Syria should not have the ability to build an airport because it will strengthen Turkey's position in the region.

38Ben Meiselas:and Syria's condemned it. Even Tom Barrack, the U.S. ambassador to Turkey, an envoy to Syria, called out the Netanyahu strikes. And again, Netanyahu continues to slaughter people in Lebanon, refuses to do a peace deal in Gaza, and the genocide continues there. And we're going to keep on bringing attention to it on this program. We talked about earlier today how the Trump regime is phasing out a 600 soldier experimental drone assault battalion in Europe in order to develop cutting edge drone warfare capabilities. But they are focused on the important things like a D.C. Grand Prix race where our taxpayer dollars are going to go to.

25Ben Meiselas:The Republican Party saying, D.C. about to get loud, yo. This weekend we're doing Grand Prix races with taxpayer money in Washington, D.C., America, 250, while things are too expensive for Americans to even survive. D.C. Grand Prix. Dude, what the hell are you idiots doing? Our editor-in-chief, Ron Filipkowski, writes, the national debt just hit$40 trillion. Gas is$4 a gallon. Diesel's$5.50 a gallon. Personal bankruptcies are at an all-time high. Mortgage rates are up. GDP growth is terrible. We are stuck in another endless war in the Middle East, but the Republican Party is focused on ballrooms and car races, and their dismantling of basic government infrastructure has led to, as our editor-in-chief, Ron Filipkowski writes, in just 19 months, RFK Jr.

15Ben Meiselas:has turned the once-safe U.S. food supply into a game of gastrointestinal Russian roulette. The latest reporting of a blueberry recall upgraded to the FDA's highest risk level, reasonable probability of death in blueberries, And we have this list right here of the government recalls and alerts for contaminated food or skipped inspections during Trump's second term, whether it is jalapeno salmonella, Argentina beef skipped inspections, bacon, chicken noodle soup. I mean, it can go on and on and on. We've been covering it all. But the White House, they're focused again on putting weird, creepy photos of Donald Trump on the White House roof saying, deport, deport, deport, deport, deport.

03Ben Meiselas:Or weird photos of Trump's bizarre presidential wall of fame with a dancing Snapchat hot dog. Die hell. That's why I say WTF.
