In short
A Greenland protest against Donald Trump’s alleged threats to invade Greenland, alongside Trump’s social-media claims about tariffs on European/NATO countries and possible U.S. troop actions elsewhere. The episode also criticizes related media stories, the Epstein Transparency Act enforcement, and U.S. dealings in Venezuela.
Guest backgrounds
No guests are named in the transcript; it primarily features the host’s commentary plus short clips from Greenlanders and Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen? (named as “Prime Minister Carney” in the audio) and other referenced officials.
Key claims
Greenland’s largest-ever protest (tens of thousands) rejects conquest “not for sale.” Trump proposes tariffs (10% starting Feb 1, 2026; 20–25% June 1) unless countries allow invasion/purchase. NATO Article 5 would trigger war if attacked. The episode alleges misinformation, debanking, and cover-ups (Epstein files), and claims U.S. troop/ICE actions are authoritarian.
Notable examples
Protests in Nuuk and Copenhagen; Trump’s “tariff king” post; claims about Wall Street Journal reporting on Jamie Dimon; references to Venezuela oil/pardons and CIA contact with Delcy Rodriguez.

1:24Ben Meiselas:the largest protest in the history of greenland has just taken place you saw right there tens of thousands of people gathered in nuke to protest against donald trump and the threats by trump and his regime to invade Greenland. There's only about 55 ,000 to 60 ,000 people who live in Greenland, and mostly every Greenlandic person was out there protesting today, and you saw that right there. This is when the premiere of Greenland arrived to the demonstration. Let's play this clip right here.
2:11Ben Meiselas:And there were also demonstrations in front of Copenhagen City Hall in solidarity with Greenland. This right here is in Copenhagen City Town Hall in Denmark. Play this clip.
2:34Ben Meiselas:now while those protests were taking place donald trump was absolutely losing it and he ran to social media to post the following attack against greenland and any of the countries that support Greenland's sovereignty. But he focused on Denmark and France and Norway and Sweden and Germany and the UK, countries that have also offered to provide their military forces to protect Greenland from an invasion by Donald Trump. And Trump said that he will be tariffing them 10 % starting immediately on February 1st, and then a 25 % tariff on all of these countries, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, France, and Germany, and United Kingdom, if they don't allow Donald Trump to invade and conquer Greenland.
3:28Ben Meiselas:So while those protests were taking place, here's what Donald Trump just posted moments ago. We have subsidized Denmark and all of the countries of the European Union and others for many years by not charging them tariffs or any other forms of remuneration. Now, after centuries, it is time for Denmark to give back. World peace is at stake. China and Russia want Greenland, and there is not a thing that Denmark can do about it. Just pause there. Do you have even the most basic understanding of American history? Centuries? I mean, you may want to focus on the post-World War II world. You may want to focus on the 1950s treaty that the United States entered with Greenland and Denmark.
4:14Ben Meiselas:And then you say that there's nothing that Denmark can do if Russia or China does anything. There's something called NATO. I know, Donald, you hate NATO, and you and Putin are working tirelessly to destroy NATO, and you probably have already destroyed NATO. But there's a little something called Article 5, which if China or Russia attacked Greenland, Article 5 means that all of the European countries, all of the NATO countries that are all of the European countries part of the United States and any other country that's part of NATO defends Greenland. That's the pact that we have while Greenland has agreed.
4:53Ben Meiselas:You tell us how many military bases you want, United States, we'll give it to you. America used to have, the United States used to have 17 military bases in Greenland, and America closed down 15 of them. You want to talk about rare earths and other minerals and resources? Greenland's open to those conversations. They're just not open to you conquering their land and taking their sovereignty and subjugating their people. They made that very, very clear. Trump goes on to say they currently have two dog sleds as protection, One added recently, and this is also why people despise you, because you're just an asshole, like you're just a horrible human being.
5:32Ben Meiselas:They are defended by Denmark, and they actually have special forces now from Canada, from Germany, from France, from Sweden, and from other countries that are there now. And as I'll show in a little bit, Prime Minister Carney made it clear that under Article 5, you dare invade, you dare attack Greenland, that based on Article 5, NATO will now go to war with the United States. And you know who loves this right now? Putin and Xi Jinping. They love it. By the way, Xi Jinping was meeting with Canada also doing a$1 trillion trade deal. And they're now going to get in Canada the Chinese electric vehicles, which is now going to screw over the American autoworkers.
6:10Ben Meiselas:Great work again, Donald. plan well executed. Just an idiot. He goes on to say, only the United States of America under Donald J. Trump can play in this game and very successfully at that. Nobody will touch this sacred piece of land, especially since the national security of the United States and the world at large is at stake. On top of everything else, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, French, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and Finland have journeyed to Greenland for purposes unknown. No, not for purposes unknown, to send their special forces to defend against an American invasion and to go to war with the United States if the United States tries to take it over.
6:49Ben Meiselas:This is a very dangerous situation for the safety, security, and survival of the planet, Donald Trump writes. These countries who are playing this very dangerous game have put a level of risk in play that is not tenable or sustainable. Therefore, it is imperative that in order to protect global peace and security, strong measures must be taken so this potentially perilous situation ends quickly and without question. Starting on February 1st, 2026, all of the above mentioned countries, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and Finland, sorry, I forgot those earlier, will be charged a 10 % tariff on any and all goods sent to the United States of America.
7:28Ben Meiselas:On June 1st, 2026, the tariff will be increased to 20 to 25%. This tariff will be due and payable until such time as a deal is reached for the complete and total purchase of Greenland. The United States has been trying to do this transaction for over 150 years. Many presidents have tried, and for good reason, but Denmark has always refused. Blatantly false, completely and utterly false. Now, because of the Golden Dome and modern-day weapon systems, both offensive and defensive, the need to acquire, and he puts that in caps, is especially important. Hundreds of billions of dollars are currently being spent on the security program having to do with the dome, including for possible protection of Canada.
8:11Ben Meiselas:And this very brilliant but highly complex system can only work at its maximum potential and efficiency because of angles, meets, and bounds if this land is included in it. The United States of America is immediately open to negotiation with Denmark and or any of these countries that have put so much at risk despite all that we have done for them, including maximum protection over so many decades. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Then he posts a photo of himself that says tariff king. Then Donald Trump writes the following a front page article in the fake news. Wall Street Journal states without any verification that I offered Jamie Dimon of JPMorgan Chase, the job of Fed chairman.
8:49Ben Meiselas:This statement is totally untrue. There was never such an offer. And in fact, I'll be suing JPMorgan Chase over the next two weeks for incorrectly and inappropriately debanking me after the January 6th protest, a protest that turned out to be correct for those doing the protesting. The election was rigged. Why wouldn't the Wall Street Journal ask me whether or not such an offer was made? I would have very quickly told them no, and that would have been the end of the story. Also, one was led to believe that I offered Jamie Dimon the job of the Secretary of Treasury, but that would be one that he would be very interested in.
9:24Ben Meiselas:The problem is I have Scott Bessent doing a fantastic job, a superstar. Why would I give it to Jamie? I mean, what a small, little, pathetic human. Can we just have the remote control, please, and fast forward through this idiotic and dangerous time period where this vile piece of crap is in the Oval Office? I mean, just what a horrible human being he is. Like, what a disgusting human he is. Just setting aside politics. Oh, and by the way, you know that they're continuing to cover up the Epstein files. They don't want us to talk about it, but the Midas Touch Network broke a major scoop yesterday that in a federal court, the Trump regime is now arguing that the Epstein Transparency Act cannot be enforced by any federal judge.
10:07Ben Meiselas:The Trump regime argues that because the Epstein Transparency Act doesn't include a specific provision providing for a private cause of action to sue to enforce the Epstein Transparency Act, that they don't have to do anything and that the courts can't hold them accountable. I did a whole video on it this morning. You should watch it. But that's what they argued. Then Donald Trump says Trump has authority to send troops into Minneapolis to stop attacks on ICE. ICE is attacking the people in Minneapolis and St. Paul. Donald Trump's metro surge in St. Paul and Minneapolis, the Gestapo, the SS, the Nazis, these Trump sickos, the paramilitary forces that have invaded Minneapolis and St.
10:51Ben Meiselas:Paul, harassing and terrorizing communities while there were peaceful protesters throwing gas at them, killing people, gassing babies. What the hell are they even doing there? So utterly despicable. And now he goes, oh, and now we're going to send in the troops there, invade Greenland, invade Minneapolis. Again, is this what, just take a step back and ask yourself, Is this what government is supposed to do? While Americans can't afford health care, while Americans can't afford homes, while Americans don't get good education, while Americans can't afford things, and the Trump regime's like, here, what you actually should be doing is you can eat one piece of chicken, one piece of broccoli, one piece of a tortilla, and some other thing, and your meal will only cost you$3.
11:36Ben Meiselas:What are you upset about us for? Just do those things. By the way, people are mocking Donald Trump with posts like this. Congratulations, Trump. Here's the 1984 All-Valley Karate Champion Trophy, or Donald Trump meets Harry Potter of Hogwarts in the Oval Office, during which Mr. Potter presented the president with the Triwizard Cup in recognition of the Trump's extraordinary proficiency in the dark arts, a misinformation illusion and reality distortion. Let's hear from the people of Nuke, the people in Greenland. Here's what they had to say here. Play this clip. It makes it more safe here, but I'm still scared.
12:14It's scary because we are living in a world where we can't expect anything, but also it's nice to have the Allies who are protected. Now he's talking about it's not only for the security, he just wants the country, but not for sale. So that's our main goal, to explain that we are still people, really real people living here. And we want to be respected for that.
12:45Ben Meiselas:Here's where Prime Minister Carney said, if Donald Trump invades Greenland, NATO Article 5 applies and Canada will go to war with the United States. Here, play this clip. Greenland, the future of Greenland is a decision for Greenland and for the Kingdom of Denmark. We are NATO partners with Denmark. And so our full partnership stance, our obligations on Article 5, Article 2 of NATO stand. And we stand fuller square behind those. And with all of this taking place, as you know, Donald Trump continues to prop up Delce Rodriguez, the authoritarian leader in Venezuela, rather than the pro-democracy, pro-opposition leader Machado, who's at this point made herself look so utterly weak handing over her Nobel Prize and having to spew the MAGA talking points.
13:36Ben Meiselas:You see right here our CIA director, John Ratcliffe, meeting with Delcy Rodriguez, his authoritarian. Also, the U.S. talks with hardline Venezuelan minister Cabello began months before the raid. Diodados Cabello, who's the enforcer in Maduro's regime, was still in power. He was talking with the CIA before. Because let me tell you what this is all about. Money, money, money. And money for the American people? No. Money for Donald Trump? Yes. Donald Trump has now set up bank accounts in Qatar where he now sells Venezuelan oil to his right-wing oligarch friends, takes the proceeds, puts it in a Qatari bank account, not in a bank account with the United States Treasury, while Donald Trump continues to pardon all of these fraudsters who donated money to his campaign and to him.
14:22Ben Meiselas:And so we did an extensive video on this and New York Times did a great report. Ken Vogel's a great reporter over at the Times. And he covered all of these pardons just in the past week of some of the most vile fraudsters that Donald Trump pardoned and gave clemency to just over the past five days while nobody was watching. Go back. I did a whole video on that this morning as well. Thanks for watching. Hit subscribe. Help us get to 6 million subscribers. And we appreciate you for watching this.
