In short

The episode argues that Donald Trump is experiencing rapid cognitive and physical decline, citing recent public appearances and medical testing claims, and claims media coverage is downplaying it.

Guest backgrounds

No guests are interviewed in the provided transcript. The episode references experts/figures: Dr. Ben Carson (commenting on milk and cognition), Dr. Gupta (Midas Health) discussing medical test plausibility, and media personalities (e.g., Dr. Oz).

Key claims

Trump’s press behavior is “rambling/incoherent,” he’s misusing or exaggerating cognitive testing (Montreal Cognitive Assessment), and his medical evaluations (e.g., full-body MRI vs limited MRI) are being presented inconsistently. The episode also claims Trump’s statements show confusion (e.g., “Southern Boulevard” vs “Southern border”) and factual exaggerations (e.g., Qatar “$2 trillion”).

Notable examples

Trump blurting “I’ve aced” cognitive exams because he drinks milk; claims about securing “Southern Boulevard”; accepting Maria Karina Machado’s Nobel Peace Prize medal and calling it his; “tariff king” remarks about Germany and possible tariffs tied to Greenland.

2:10Ben Meiselas:It's not looking well, Donald. Just like your dad, Fred. Just like your mom, Mary. Just like others in the family. It's not looking good. Just over the past 24 to 48 hours, Donald Trump's cognitive glitches, Donald Trump's physical deterioration, And his rotting before our very eyes has only continued to accelerate. Now, state regime media, which calls itself Fox News, it's doing its best. They have like Dr. Oz on saying he's got so much testosterone. He's so strong. Yeah, he's like a nice billionaire. And he's so relatable because he eats all this McDonald's. And yeah, he's so strong. Some weird stuff going on.

3:00Ben Meiselas:and Donald Trump's health, it ain't looking good. I mean, just take a look again over the past 48 hours. You had Donald Trump at this press conference regarding milk, and they've been doing this weird like milk fetish stuff in the White House. And I don't know if they did this so that Donald Trump can feel better about his cognitive health, but they brought out that Dr. Ben Carson's guy, and he's talking about milk, and they're all doing weird like milk mustaches. I really don't know why they, I don't know what's even really going on. But then Donald Trump says, like my cognitive exams? Do you mean like my cognitive?

3:39Ben Meiselas:Will milk help me with cognitive exams? He just blurts it out. Let me show you what happens. You'll see Dr. Ben Carson's talking. And then Donald Trump starts blurting out about cognitive exams. Here, play this clip. It's important what that brain is getting during the development. Is it getting soda or is it getting milk? So milk would help your cognitive ability? Absolutely. You can tell who's been drinking. Taking cognitive tests? I've taken a lot of them. I've aced every one of them because I drink milk. It's good for, and it shows. Do you consider this? Right. And then again, I said, all this is happening in 24 to 48 hours.

4:23Ben Meiselas:So when Donald Trump just returned to Mar-a-Lago, he talked about how starting on day one, we fully secured the Southern Boulevard. And he keeps on saying it. And think about it. We're securing Southern Boulevard. Now, I think he's talking about some street that they're naming after him in this right wing mayor in Miami. I don't know. I think he means to say the Southern border, but he keeps on saying we've secured the Southern Boulevard. And then he tries to cover it up. Here, play this clip. Better than they've ever done before. They're up 78 % in many cases. But starting on day one, we fully secured our Southern Boulevard and stopped the, and think of it, as we were securing Southern Boulevard, making Florida great, we're also securing a thing called the Southern border and making that great.

5:18And we stopped the invasion of our country. So Florida has been ahead of our time. If Florida was ahead, it led the way, but we stopped the, this was an invasion.

5:30Ben Meiselas:Then in that same press conference, he talks about going to Qatar and he claims he got$2 trillion, which he didn't. And then he sees Laura Loomer in the crowd, the right-wing extremist. She's there at Palm beach with hanging out with Donald. And she's like, hi law. He's like, hi Laura, boy, are you something. Look at all the spirit you have. This is a right wing extremist, Laura Loomer, who said some of the most heinous stuff. And then he's like, she's a little nasty, but she's nice to me. Right here, play this clip. Gave us, I'd like to invest in the United States,$2 trillion. It's a lot of money.

6:09And then I went to Qatar,$2 trillion. And I went to the United Arab Emirates, Mohammed,$2 trillion so we took in$6 trillion that's why we have$18 because we got six from three countries, that helps right? Laura, is that right? Hi Laura Boy you are something, what spirit you have Laura, Laura Loomer thank you honey for being here, I appreciate it you know she can be a little nasty but to me she's always nice so that's all that matters, I want her to stay that way too but But I was over there and he looked at me.

6:48Ben Meiselas:And yes, it continues to get worse. As I said, past 24 to 48 hours, Donald Trump takes somebody else's Nobel Prize that doesn't belong to him. And he's genuinely happy about it. Like, it's the weirdest thing in the world to take somebody's Nobel Prize, but then to pretend it's yours without a sense of irony or without a sense of anything. He thinks it's his now that he won it because Maria Karina Machado brought it over to him and handed to him in a plaque. And so the reporters even ask him, like, why would you want someone else's Nobel Peace Prize? Like, why is this something that you actually want?

7:35Ben Meiselas:It's not yours. You didn't earn it. You didn't win it. the person who won it, you don't even support her. You're actually supporting the authoritarian regime in Venezuela, Delcy Rodriguez and Diodados Cabello, by the way, who are brutally repressing the opposition. Did you see Senator Rick Scott of Florida made a post? We need to help so and so and so. Okay, well, didn't you say that the people of Venezuela love what's going on? You'll have Maduro's Maduro's regime. But Donald Trump's like, she offered it to me and it's mine. Here, play this clip. Yesterday, yesterday you accepted Maria Machado's Nobel Prize medal.

8:19What do you intend to do with it? And why would you want someone else's Nobel Prize? Well, she offered it to me. I thought it was very nice. She said, you know, you've had eight wars and nobody deserves this prize more than in history than you do. And I thought it was a very nice gesture and by the way i think she's a very fine woman and we'll be talking again

8:44Ben Meiselas:and then donald trump like a mad king kept on saying i i king i king me donald king me do tariff me king donald i do tariff watch if you like oh come on ben what do you do it that's what he did that's what he said i can i tariff king okay here play this clip i stood how to deal with him and uh i'm the tariff king and the tariff king has done a great job and i hope we win the Supreme Court case, because if we don't be ashamed for our country, be ashamed. We have we have what I mean, seriously, what's going on? What are we doing here? I guess that's my new line of 26. What are we doing here? Are we watching these things that I'm showing us?

9:41Ben Meiselas:Hello? I mean, has so much of this country been infected by the MAGA zombie bug that they don't see what we see? This is crazy. I don't mean to use it in a pejorative. This stuff is insanity, quite literally. Ever wake up sweaty, freezing, or just uncomfortable? The temperature in your bedroom can make or break your sleep. Donald Trump was talking about Greenland and he starts going into, you know what? you don't support me invading Greenland I'm going to tariff you here play this clip I called Germany no no no we will not do that I said no we're going to put a 25 % tariff which is by the way about seven times more than they would have to pay by raising their drug like seven times this wasn't like a little bit more seven times more and and I may do that for Greenland too I I may put a tariff on countries if they don't go along with Greenland because we need Greenland for national security.

12:02So I may do that. I'll give you a little I'll talk about I'll take you out of that. In fact, that will end up being the story. But actually, this is a much bigger story because we're reducing health care by numbers that you haven't seen.

12:13Ben Meiselas:And this starts to give new meaning to the furry party that Donald Trump had at Mar-a-Lago. I think that in his own demented mind, he gets off on it. He goes to Mar-a-Lago. And I think that there is a level of, oh, puppies. Look at the puppies. I think it makes him happy to see human beings dressed as puppies in Rococo cleavage outfits. I don't I think is deranged. So as I mentioned, state regime, state regime media, Fox calls itself Fox. Dr. Oz, they go, Dr. Oz says this guy's so strong. He's got such great testosterone. Here, play this clip. I saw this morning, actually, it was Dr. Oz who said that President Trump has the highest testosterone level of any man over 70 that he's ever seen.

13:11So you compare. He knows that. He actually went on to say, like, President Trump's gonna be really thrilled that I said that. But you compare President Trump to someone, I mean, any of the Democratic male leaders, someone like Tim Walz, if you will, you know, Mr. Jazz Hands. You ask any 20-year-old boy, especially on a college campus, who they would rather spend a day golfing with, President Trump or Tim Walz, you have to imagine that majority of them are going to say President Trump.

13:44Ben Meiselas:or when harrison faulkner's like he's a billionaire but he's a billionaire who loves mcdonald's here play this clue able yeah you know it kind of goes back to something that riley just said he's a billionaire he's different yeah it's ironic though but he's not really all that different he loves mcdonald's he likes to hang he loves his family kind of like not that mcdonald's is poor to being like a an all-american but i think i love those fries But I mean, he's all those things that that you don't have to have a billion dollars or have to have zero dollars to get. He's just a guy's guy. And think of his campaign when he's in the big garbage truck.

14:22You know, and he was in the McDonald's window. Convincingly. Gen Z.

14:26Ben Meiselas:The hell is going on? What are we talking about? I like how Congresswoman Sidney Kalmager Dove post this. OK, Grandpa, let's get you to bed, Grandpa. It's Kam Lager Dove. And just a reminder, here's what Fred Trump, the third Donald Trump's nephew, said about the family and dementia. Here play this clip. I know what I saw in my grandfather. I know what I saw in Donald's older sister, my Aunt Marianne, who in the end, thank you for saying, I am not a doctor. I don't pretend to be. I just, I know the warning signs from both of my grandfathers, what it is. Donald's cousin, John Walters, had dementia.

15:13It runs in the family. I'm not happy about it because guess what? I worry about it myself. You know, when I wears my glasses, oh, on the top of my head now, I don't know, that may be Hathheimers, but it runs in the family. He looks older and I get it. I mean, I'm not saying anybody who is in that office looks different than when they come out, but the things he's spewing and the craziness, and he just can't stick to a message.

15:47Ben Meiselas:And here is what the head of Midas Health, Dr. Gupta said recently, play this clip. So number one, advanced imaging, you do not get out of nowhere, just an MRI of your torso, so your chest and your abdomen, and present those results from the White House physician and act as though that's a normal screening tool. There are some that believe that a full-body MRI in this day and age, if you can afford it, is appropriate to do. Reasonable people can disagree. If that's what actually he did, then present the results of the full-body MRI. But there's no reason whatsoever, especially if they're saying he's the chief executive of the United States, just to limit it to the MRI of the chest and the abdomen.

16:28Nonsensical. Number two, the Montreal Cognitive Assessment, this tool to assess whether or not you have early signs of dementia through understanding whether or not you can recall four words, you know, very basic type of test. This is not something that you repeat frequently unless there's a neurologic reason to do so. If there is a neurologic reason to do so, fine. In certain cases, you repeat the tests, but if you're otherwise claiming to be normal, you're not repeating the Montreal cognitive assessment as often as he's claiming to do it, as though that's some sort of flex here. It's not, and I think he's being misdirected or he's just reading something and is being misinformed by himself.

17:15And then three, lastly, just the fact that how he presents himself, whether it's the hand, is there something happening with that hand? Is there an IV there that they're trying to cover up? his pressurized, rambling, incoherent speech. When you take it all together, reasonable people are asking reasonable questions. These are not political questions. These are basic medical questions that if they had a doctor that was not trying to editorialize and actually just present the facts, these would be reasonable questions to get answers to. And yet we're not saying that.
