In short

The episode argues Democrats are surging in key midterm races, while Donald Trump is privately panicking about polling and campaign prospects. It cites Siena College Texas polling: Democrat James Tolerico leading MAGA Republican Ken Paxton 49–43; Democrat candidate Hinojosa leading Abbott 49–45. It also claims Democrats lead in Ohio (Amy Acton over Vivek Ramaswamy 48–45; Sherrod Brown over John Huston), North Carolina (Roy Cooper over Michael Watley 49–34), and Kansas (Adam Hamilton surging over Roger Marshall). It adds generic ballot polling showing Democrats up 50–41 overall. The episode claims Trump advisors told him decisions, including the Iran war, hurt Republicans; Trump allegedly approved ~$140M for allied super PACs and banned CNN/Politico/MSNBC from White House reporting. It highlights diesel and gas price impacts on farmers, quoting a farmer saying diesel costs doubled and may force closures, and references lawmakers’ calls about diesel export embargoes.

0:00Ben Meiselas:The numbers are getting even worse for Donald Trump. The latest Siena College Texas poll has Democrat James Tolerico leading MAGA Republican extremist Ken Paxton 49 to 43. The governor's race, Democratic candidate Hinojosa is beating Governor Abbott 49 to 45. Big leads by the Democratic candidates there. We go to Ohio. The Democratic candidate Amy Acton is beating Vivek Ramaswamy 48 % to 45%, while the Democratic candidate for the United States Senate seat, Sherrod Brown, is taking a commanding lead over John Huston, the MAGA Republican incumbent. You take a look there, Democrats surging ahead in the governor's race and the Senate race.

0:45Ben Meiselas:Respectively, we look at North Carolina, the Democratic candidate, former Governor Roy Cooper, taking a commanding lead over MAGA Republican extremist Michael Watley, 49 % to 34%. Let's take a look at Kansas, everybody. The Democratic candidate, Adam Hamilton, coming right out of that Kansas State Fair where he just made minced meat over Roger Marshall. But we'll have to check that minced meat because people like MAGA Republican Senator Roger Marshall are bringing in frozen minced meat from foreign countries that are mystery meat and undercutting our ranchers. In any event, the Democratic candidate, Adam Hamilton, surging ahead of Roger Marshall.

1:30Ben Meiselas:Can the Democrats flip Kansas blue? How about Florida right there where Angie Nixon, the Democratic candidate, is tied in the latest polling with MAGA Republican extremist Ashley Moody? One thing we've always been reporting on here, though, in all of these special elections, Democrats have been overperforming the polling by multiple, multiple amounts. So the fact that the Democrats are leading or tied here, I think portends very well for the midterms. And then you look at the generic ballot polling. Have you seen the latest? The Marquette has Democrats up 13. YouGov, Democrats plus 12. Quinnipiac, Democrats plus 11.

2:10Ben Meiselas:Signal, plus 8.6. Honest, plus 9. New York Times, Siena, 8.5. Ipsos, plus 7. Morning Consul. plus six right there. The overall average Democrats lead 50 to 41 % and Democrats are surging ahead even more. Now, with all of this taking place, Washington Post is reporting that Donald Trump is now privately acknowledging that he is about to get routed, that he's about to get utterly humiliated and he is panicking. Here's the latest report from the Washington Post. Donald Trump is privately acknowledging that his decisions, including the war with Iran, with Netanyahu, the catastrophic war in Iran, may have contributed to the Republican Party's difficult position ahead of the midterm elections.

2:57Ben Meiselas:According to people familiar with the discussions who spoke to the Washington Post, advisors have become increasingly blunt with Trump about poor polling and the party's political challenges. One person said he definitely feels like some of his decisions have led to the dynamics where he's unpopular and things aren't looking great for the midterms. Trump has previously dismissed negative polls as fake, but advisors say he's now paying closer attention to data showing weak support for him and Republicans. Trump has responded by increasing his focus on the midterms, approving around$140 million in spending from allied super PACs, and pledging to campaign in competitive races.

3:37Ben Meiselas:We'll see about that. He has told advisors he wants to fight like hell until the elections, but apparently he didn't tell his advisors or anybody in the White House that he was going to ban CNN, Politico, and MSNOW from reporting from inside the White House. You have multiple White House advisors telling the press they were surprised that Donald Trump issued this directive. They didn't know it was coming. Apparently, Trump's chief of staff, Susie Wiles, was out of the White House. Donald Trump saw how he was getting crushed. He saw all of the reporting exposing his regime's catastrophic war in Iran and his cover-up of the deaths that were taking place of our service members, covering up just how bad the situation was with U.S.

4:24Ben Meiselas:military bases in the region, and just covering up the utter humiliation that the United States has been facing as Iran has been tearing apart our military bases. Our logistics has been destroyed. This is what happens when the Trump regime got rid of and purged our top generals, our top admirals. And you have Pete Hegseth saying, send me, send me. I'm going to quote Isaiah to say, send me to never ending wars in the America. People are like, send me to never ending wars. What the hell are you talking about? Wasn't the whole MAGA 2024 thing? Joe Biden wants to send me to war. And now it's like, send me to World War Three.

5:04Ben Meiselas:I'm Pete Hegseth. Isaiah tells you that you need to go fight World War Three and endless wars. And we've been reporting here at the Midas Touch Network about every European country at this point is basically preparing for World War Three. They say the hybrid war from Russia has already begun, that there's active military responses to Russia's hybrid war in Europe. You have a war book being administered in the UK where they're basically saying, you know, we're on a war footing and we're preparing for resiliency as if there's going to be a world war. And then you have comments coming out of French President Emmanuel Macron, Poland's Prime Minister Tusk, the head of Lithuania, Germany, every country in Europe is basically like, we're preparing for a winter basically of economic recession and depression and world war.

5:55Ben Meiselas:Like they've all made comments like that as you have fuel shortages really taking hold in places like France and other areas in Europe as a result of the Trump regime's behavior. Heck, we've been talking about some stations here in the United States where they've run out of diesel. I mean, the average price of diesel in California right now is like$8.55 and every day it's going up like$0.30 right now. And nationwide gas and diesel have surged to record highs. Donald Trump has destroyed the lives of farmers, of ranchers, of manufacturers, basically everybody except himself, who he's basically stole money from the American people.

6:34Ben Meiselas:He's like, did all these quid pro quo deals that enrich himself while the American people are getting screwed. You have MAGA Republican Senator Kennedy from Louisiana. Here's what he had to say before heading out in DC on Friday. Here's what he said. Let's play this clip. I've been to this weekend. I'm going to Kansas, Nebraska and Iowa to help raise money and campaign for our very good candidates. If you told me six months ago I was going to be having to spend my time in those three states, I wouldn't have believed you. Those ought to be fat guy layups for us. Now, we're going to win there, but the races are closed.

7:18I didn't realize how much water quality could affect your skin and hair until I switched to Jolie. Jolie is a filtered shower head designed to remove chlorine and heavy metals that can damage your skin and hair. And it's such an easy upgrade. It installs in minutes, fits all showers, and the water pressure is amazing. For me, Jolie has become the perfect base for my routine. My skin feels calmer, my hair feels softer, and it made me realize that if the water you're starting with isn't right, everything you're putting on your skin and hair after is already working at a disadvantage. Plus, it looks great.

7:50It's sleek. It elevates the whole shower, and it makes me feel a little more like I'm in a luxury hotel. Try Jolie risk-free for 60 days by going to jolieskinko.com slash Midas. That's jolieskinko.com slash Midas. M-E-I-D-A-S. Jolie is also now available in Costco and Target, both online and in store.

8:16Ben Meiselas:Meanwhile, MAGA Republican Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley, who's like 93 years old, or maybe 91 or 93, he posted, with diesel at$6.57 in Iowa. Oh, that's cheap compared, by the way, to California. I digress. He goes, W Diesel, with diesel at$6.57 in Iowa, why doesn't President Trump put an embargo on diesel exports like presidents in the 70s put embargoes on agriculture products because food prices were inflated. High diesel prices are killing farmers' incomes, to which the Democratic candidate for Senate in Iowa, Josh Turek, responded. I agree, Senator. That's why I called for exactly this on Wednesday as part of my three-pronged plan to provide relief for Iowa families and farmers.

9:02Ben Meiselas:Iowans are hurting, and it's time to put an embargo on diesel exports and ultimately end this war. Ashley Hinson, that's the MAGA Republican extremist congresswoman who's running for the Senate seat in Iowa, meanwhile is still waiting to see what her big oil donors want her to say. And now Ashley Hinson, who's a complete radical extremist, she's a MAGA congresswoman. She supported Donald Trump's tariffs against the world. She supported Donald Trump and Netanyahu's genocide. She supports Donald Trump and Netanyahu's catastrophic invasion of Iran. One, she supported Donald Trump's disastrous budget bill, which she said is so amazing.

9:38Ben Meiselas:And everyone's doing so well in Iowa. She says the golden age is amongst us. Everybody's rich. And now she, the phony that she is, she's such a phony scumbag. And all the people in Iowa know this about her. When she did town hall, she did like two last year. They booed the hell out of her because she's just an awful fake individual. So now she's cutting ads and she's like, of course, I want to work with Democrats. I'm all about bipartisanship. No, you're not. You're a Trump bootlicker is who you are. You destroyed the lives of people in Iowa. You have blood on your hands. And I hope you have nightmares at night from all of the people you're responsible for killing.

10:14Ben Meiselas:Here, play this clip. I'm Ashley Hinson. Used to be that reaching across the aisle wasn't just OK. It was expected. Some people in Washington forgot that. I never have. That's why I worked with Democrats to expand mental health care for veterans and with President Trump to take on health insurance companies to lower your costs. I'm Ashley Hinson and I approve this message because working across the aisle isn't always easy, but it's how you get results. Meanwhile, Marjorie Taylor Greene is out in central Florida and she posted, insane, diesel in central Florida is almost$7. This is all Trump's fault.

10:55Ben Meiselas:We did not vote for this. We shouldn't pay taxes to the government that ruins our lives. She wants a tax boycott. And she said, look, I was Donald Trump's right hand. I was his closest lieutenant and I'm letting everybody know. Let it be clear. I was on the inside. Donald Trump destroyed your lives. This is all Donald Trump's fault. This is what Marjorie Taylor Greene says. Here, play this clip. All right. I'm in central Florida. Diesel is almost$7 and gas, regular gas, gas is$4.79. Americans did not vote for this. They cannot afford it. It is going to crush our economy. And it's only just getting started.

11:36Look, this is, I cannot believe we're paying taxes to a government that is doing this to us, especially when we voted for, what, gas under$2. That's what we were promised. No more foreign wars. Trump is destroying this country by fighting Iran, and there's no end in sight. People are pissed.

12:01Ben Meiselas:Also, she reposted Tucker Carlson, who posted about how Donald Trump's giving all this money to Netanyahu for$2.8 billion, for more 5 ,000 pound bombs, for more genocide, for more killing, for more slaughter in Gaza, in Lebanon. And Netanyahu's now saying lots of dangerous things, lots of threats about Syria and Turkey. Marjorie Taylor Greene says this is exactly what Trump is talking about when he says the Iran war will be over after the midterms. We did not vote for this. America does not support this. Our tax dollars and weapons have been used to kill tens of thousands of innocent people. My God, what comes next?

12:45Ben Meiselas:Meanwhile, you have farmers who are saying the following. And Marjorie Taylor Greene says, the anger is real. It's hot and we feel betrayed. Trump voters did not vote for another Middle East war and skyrocketing fuel costs. At this point, I'm hearing many people say they don't care if Iran has a nuclear weapon. Here play this clip. Every piece of equipment on this farm runs on diesel. Every truck that brings a delivery to runs on diesel. Every truck that leaves here with cattle, grain, whatever runs on diesel. And how much have your costs for diesel increased? We're 100 % from last year. I mean, we are double.

13:21But in the last 10 days or so, it's going up almost daily. Our fuel supplier called this morning. It had gone up a quarter overnight. It had gone up a quarter the night before. The price that I was given this morning was only good at four o 'clock this afternoon because it's going to go up again tonight. How does that affect your ability to plan? You can't plan a business around the unknowns. These input costs that just continue to go up while our grain and all that remains stagnant, it's not going to work. How's this affecting the farming community? Well, everybody's like us. They're stressed financially, mentally, the whole nine yards.

13:59And at this point, we're all just in survival mode. We're just trying to survive. Are there some farmers you know who are not going to survive? Yes, there'll be quite a few. Whether it's their decision or the bank's decision, this is it for them. This is their last year? Absolutely, absolutely. What do you want Americans to take away from the situation you're going through? I do not want any American to feel sorry for the American farmer. I want the Americans to be mad that we have been put in this situation. We are fighting for survival and we're running out of options. Are you mad? I am very mad.

14:33Very mad. I think there's been some very, very bad policy that's been made that has led things to get to where we are. We have cut the fat everywhere we can. We're just to the point now, there's nothing left to cut. So could you go out of business? It's possible. Every farmer in this country is on the verge. There's a fine line. Every farmer in this country is walking right now. What would you do if you weren't farming? I don't know. It's all I've ever done. Really? Do you love it? Yep. Why? Money's not the problem. I could care less about the money, but we take a lot of pride in what we do. You can't put a dollar sign on that, but I can't stay in business under these conditions.

15:20Something has got to give.

15:22Ben Meiselas:By the way, good night and good luck. Have you seen this video going around right here? It's AI, but it points out what Donald Trump's really all about. Here, play this clip. And it's very cool. Oh my gosh. Isn't that great? Just what up yesterday? Wow. Think Joe Biden would do this? I don't think so. Do you think he'd think of it? Do you think he knows what it is? Wow. And that real video was actually Donald Trump showing Laura Ingraham like the painting or the constitution. He's like, this is real and it's not. But in any event, you have Trump followers like this guy, Rodney, a crypto guy says, what a effing mistake I made supporting Donald Trump.

16:07Ben Meiselas:Worst president ever, terrible policies. This guy and his family are milking the shit out of crypto. I can't wait for these dudes to get effing rinsed during the midterms. Good effing riddance, good effing riddance. Even Trump's 2020 election lawyer in Pennsylvania condemning Donald Trump for banning Politico, CNN, and MS Now. The Constitution is an optional, Mark Skirinji says. Banning CNN, Politico, and MS Now from the White House because the president hates their coverage is viewpoint discrimination. Once the government opens press access, it can't yank it as punishment. That's not America first.
