In short

The episode argues that world leaders publicly condemn Donald Trump for weakening the U.S., allegedly acting like a Russian asset, and mishandling Ukraine diplomacy. It claims France’s Emmanuel Macron warned Trump will be “played” by Putin if Putin won’t meet Zelensky by Monday, and that Europe should impose additional sanctions and stand behind Zelensky. It cites Portugal’s president calling Trump a “Soviet or Russian asset” at a press conference. It says Germany’s Chancellor Merz criticized Trump’s promises as false and defended EU digital sovereignty against Trump’s pressure. It also alleges Tulsi Gabbard fired a CIA day-to-day officer handling Russian intelligence and exposed an undercover CIA agent. Notable examples include escalating Russian missile attacks on Kyiv killing 22–23 people (including children) and Trump’s threats of tariffs/export controls over EU digital rules.

They are saying, Donald, you are humiliating yourself, you are humiliating the United States, and it seems like you are a Russian asset.

44Ben Meiselas:We're hearing French President Emmanuel Macron say things like, if Putin does not agree to have a bilateral or trilateral meeting with President Zelensky of Ukraine by Monday, Donald, it will be known to the entire world how weak you are and that you've gotten played by Putin. You understand? And then French President Emmanuel Macron went on to say how weak Donald Trump and America looks, how there needs to be additional sanctions imposed on Putin, and how the world needs to stand behind Zelensky. Then you had the president of Portugal give a powerful speech where he said, Donald, you are an asset of Putin.

31Ben Meiselas:How could it be that the United States, once a great power, is now a Russian satellite nation? It is sad and pathetic. That's what the president of Portugal said in a public press conference, in a public speech. Then you go to Germany where Chancellor Meyers said, let me be very clear, Germany will not accept anyone anywhere trying to pressure us, Donald, especially if you're trying to pressure us based on how we regulate digital infrastructure here in Europe or in Germany. We're not doing it. This is integral to our sovereignty. And then Chancellor Merz goes on to say, it is obvious that what Trump has been saying and promising is never going to be true.

19Ben Meiselas:We told you what Putin was going to be doing all along, and you were wrong, Donald, and it is utterly pathetic. Let me just show you what these individuals have been saying. And it should be noted that they're saying this also at a time where we're learning more information about how Donald Trump's director of national intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, fired the kind of main CIA day-to-day officer who dealt with Russian intelligence. The person who was there to prepare the United States for Trump's meeting with Vladimir Putin and to prepare the United States correct posture against Putin. She was the CIA agent who was also an undercover CIA agent.

05Ben Meiselas:She was basically just fired by the CIA after what? After providing the right intel on Putin that Donald Trump didn't want to hear. Not only that, but you have Tulsi Gabbard getting rid of the security clearance of the CIA agent, then outing her as an undercover spy via a social media post on ex-formerly Twitter. It is so egregious and so despicable. So first, let me show you French President Emmanuel Macron. This was a speech he gave in France. He held a summit with the chancellor of Germany. And here's what Macron said. Play this clip. so this joint work this franco-german reflex is primarily illustrated on the international stage we demonstrated it together this summer by being alongside several of our colleagues in washington to support president zelensky and indeed support for ukraine our efforts to achieve a just and lasting peace are at the heart of our agenda this piece is what we want it is also what the ukrainian president wants and i say this with even more strength and solidarity after these last days when the attacks have resumed with force in an unprecedented manner for the past months where once again ukrainian civilians have been affected and we can clearly see the gap between the positions taken at international summits or with other leaders by president putin and the reality on the ground showing how insincere he is the next few days will be decisive marking the end of the period we had set with President Trump and President Zelensky to achieve the first meetings.

46We will continue to exert pressure for additional sanctions to be imposed by ourselves, and we are ready for that, but also by the United States of America, to force Russia to return to the negotiating table.

00Ben Meiselas:Now here is what the president of Portugal said. Play this clip. But the supreme leader of the world's greatest superpower is objectively a Soviet or Russian asset, functions as an asset. Now, here is what Chancellor Merz says. And just so you all know, you see it on the top, we're translating what they're saying in French and German into English using our AI software. But this is a pretty good translation of what's being said and is being captured here. Play this clip. With our visit to Washington last week, we hoped that the promised meeting between President Putin and President Zelensky would actually take place within the discussed two weeks.

56and I had to realize that already this week there is obviously no willingness from President Putin to meet with President Zelensky. He is setting preconditions that are simply unacceptable. That sounded quite different in the phone call that was held with President Trump the week before last week. To be honest, this does not surprise me, because it is part of this Russian president's strategy to proceed in this way. Therefore we will discuss again next week how to proceed. I strongly advocate that we, meaning the Europeans, together with the American government, carefully discuss the next steps and there must be a reason for for Putin to be willing to meet with Zelensky possibly with additional participants and there must be a willingness on the Russian side to initiate a ceasefire for such a meeting I have no illusions about that either.

17This war may possibly last many more months. In any case, we should be prepared for that. We are prepared in close coordination with the European partners, with the Americans, and also with the coalition of the willing. I have already said this to the American president and would like to repeat it here. The question of how the European Union regulates the entire digital market and how it taxes companies is an expression of the European Union's sole sovereignty. And we will not accept that anyone uses corresponding reprisals against Europe.

See website for details, restrictions, and important safety information. And one of the things that you have French President Emmanuel Macron talking about and German Chancellor Merkel talking about is this attack on the sovereignty of Europe as Donald Trump threatens EU with more tariffs and export controls based on the European Union digital rules. as Giorgio Verdi says, appeasement only emboldens Trump. The EU has refrained from its forcing its digital rules and from retaliatory actions.

05Ben Meiselas:Trump now threatens the EU with more tariffs and export controls on US chips. One thing is clear, Europe needs to build its own stack of technologies. That was a major part of what France and Germany were talking about as well, building planes together, building military equipment together, again, moving away from the United States. And we're seeing that across the globe right now, de-risking from the United States because of Donald Trump and him turning the United States into Putin's bootlickers. Here is what Donald Trump posted. He goes, as president of the United States, I will stand up to countries that attack our incredible American tech companies.

50Ben Meiselas:Digital taxes, digital service legislation, and digital market regulations are all designed to harm or discriminate against American technology. They also outrageously give a complete pass to China's largest tech companies. It's not true. This must end and end now. With this truth, I put all countries with digital taxes, legislations, rules, or regulations on notice that unless these discriminatory actions are removed, I, as President of the United States, will impose substantial additional tariffs on the country's exports to the USA and institute export restrictions on our highly protected technology and chips.

29Ben Meiselas:American and American technology companies are neither piggy banks nor doormats of the world any longer. Show respect to America and our amazing tech companies or consider the consequences. Thank you for your attention. It doesn't matter. It's written by like a comical villain from a movie. Like who even speaks like that? And by the way, Donnie, your tariffs against the world, this type of crap was declared unlawful on Friday by the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals that oversees the International Trade Court in the United States. But going to the real world ramifications of Donald Trump's weakness for a second.

09Ben Meiselas:I just want you to think about it. Let's talk undisputed facts, undisputed facts. Okay. Number one, Donald Trump said that there would be a ceasefire coming out of the Alaska meeting with Putin or else there would be serious sanctions against Putin. Then Donald Trump said, actually, this meeting was so productive in Alaska, we don't need sanctions anymore. Well, there was no ceasefire that came out of it. So what ended up coming out of it. Well, American media said that Putin agreed to security guarantees at a bilateral or trilateral meeting with Zelensky and Donald Trump or just with Zelensky.

43Ben Meiselas:And I was saying here on the Midas Touch Network, well, I'm watching Russian media and I'm seeing Putin being quoted and Lavrov being quoted. That's Putin's foreign minister saying no way are they ever going to do a bilateral or trilateral meeting. They're not agreeing to any security guarantees at all. And they said that they believe Zelensky is an illegitimate president and they will never meet with him. They will never consider anything of any substance or import while he's still the president, unless there's a regime change in Ukraine or unless Zelensky gives them all of this Ukrainian territory, Zepriya, Donetsk, all of these areas that Russia has not been able to conquer already.

23Ben Meiselas:So that's what I was seeing. And then it's become clear that what I'm seeing is what Europe's seeing. And America is so propagandized by our weak media that just says, Donald Trump says this, Donald Trump says that, when that's not the reality on the ground. So look at where we are right now. Things are escalating in Ukraine. More deaths, one of the worst attacks yet since the war began on Kiev took place this past week, what, 22 people died, four or five children were killed. Residential buildings were targeted. The British Council building was targeted. A European Union building was targeted.

58Ben Meiselas:This, of course, follows an American factory being targeted two weeks ago. What the hell are we doing here? Russia's escalating its violence. It's killing children. It's committing genocide. And Donald Trump's what? Nowhere to be found? MIA? It is utterly pathetic. You have President Zelensky posting the following right now. And he's talking about what went down. He says the following. He goes,

49Ben Meiselas:the following. He says, I pay tribute to the memory of those killed at the site where a Russian ballistic missile struck a residential building. This horrific strike claimed the lives of 22, now he knows 23 people, including four children, the youngest whom was not even three years old. My condolences to their family. This attack is demonstrative of the Russian response to the world's efforts to end this war, killing children and causing destruction instead of pursuing diplomacy and peace. Stephen Miller, Donald Trump lackey was asked. French president Emmanuel Macron says that if Putin doesn't agree to talks with Zelensky, Trump will have been played.

28Ben Meiselas:How do you respond, Miller? To which Miller goes, oh, that's absolutely ridiculous. But he doesn't address the central point about Trump being played. He goes, Donald Trump has stopped seven wars already. Seven wars he stopped. Here, play this clip. The French president has said today that if Putin doesn't have talks with Zelensky, then President Trump will have been, quote, played. Is that true? Is President Trump being played by President Putin at the moment? Such an absurd question. President Trump has achieved seven peace deals in seven months. No president in history has done more to advance the cause of peace.

05He's been nominated by multiple world leaders for the Nobel Peace Prize. Literally no president, not just in our lifetimes, but that I can think of in American history. and no world leader anywhere today, anywhere on earth, has done more to advance world peace than President Trump. He's ended the conflict between Israel and Iran. He's ended the conflict between Rwanda and Congo, between India and Pakistan, Azerbaijan. I mean, example after example after example. And obviously he's working steadfastly to end the killing in Ukraine. And keep in mind, this is President Biden's war. It started because of President Biden and President Trump inherited President Biden's war, and he's working steadfastly to end the killing.

45And that's something that everyone in the world should celebrate.

48Ben Meiselas:He talking about Donald Trump has stopped several India and Pakistan. He stopped that war. No, he didn't. No, he didn't. Wars that start that started, frankly, because of America's weakness. And then those parties entering into ceasefire have nothing to do with Donald Trump. And Trump promised there would be peace in Ukraine in 24 hours after the election. He said it would be so easy to do. He did the hands. It'd be so easy to bring peace in Ukraine in 24 hours. But he's a liar. He said he'd bring peace to Gaza. He's a liar. He's made things worse. He just had Benjamin Netanyahu commit whatever atrocities you want, violate international law.

25Ben Meiselas:He's made things a million times worse. And he's weak and pathetic. He's a Putin bootlecker. It's gross. It's pathetic that the United States is in this position. And our corporate media here acts like we aren't. This is humiliating for our country. We are a humiliated nation right now as a result of Donald Trump. There's no way to look at it. He's turned America into a Soviet satellite nation and attacked our allies. It's sick, but that's an undisputed fact. Hit subscribe. Let's get to 6 million. Thanks for watching.
