In short

Halloween-themed NFL Week 9 preview/picks and recap, centered on Lamar Jackson’s return, the Miami Dolphins’ collapse and front-office shakeup, plus broader NFL talk (Ravens AFC North odds, Chiefs-Bills matchup, Cowboys owner distractions).

Guests (backgrounds)

  • Dan Orlovsky: Emmy-winning sports media personality and former NFL quarterback; provides tactical breakdown of Ravens offense/defense and Dolphins roster/coaching context.
  • Nick Saban: Mentioned in the episode title but not clearly present in the provided transcript segment.
  • AJ Hawk: Mentioned in the episode title but not clearly present in the provided transcript segment.
  • “Coach Bill Cowher”: Appears as a guest/character segment (Super Bowl-winning Steelers coach) offering opinions on McDaniel/Tua and Ravens’ chances.
  • “Harry Potter” and “Heavenly Hulkster” and “Edgar/Edward Simpson/Florida man/Jackson Dart/Bart Simpson”: Recurring comedic persona segments used to react to the games and news.

Key claims

  • Lamar Jackson’s Week 9 performance (four passing TDs) signals the Ravens are “fully back” and can win the AFC North.
  • Miami Dolphins are in crisis: Chris Greer is fired after years of Tyreek Hill/McDaniel/Tua-era decisions; Mike McDaniel is expected to remain coach for the rest of the season.
  • The Dolphins offense is described as ineffective (“Tua stinks,” interceptions referenced), and the Ravens defense has improved recently (notably giving up 13 points per game over a short stretch).
  • Ravens defensive coordinator/structure is credited to Chuck Pagano; Kyle Hamilton’s versatility and additions like Jordan Gilman and Malachi Starks are highlighted.
  • For the Chiefs-Bills game, the Chiefs are framed as a top-tier team driven by Travis Kelce and Rashee Rice/Worthy-type spacing problems; the matchup hinges on defensive line pressure.

Notable examples

  • Fourth-and-two play-calling criticism in the Dolphins game (a “fade to the running back”).
  • References to Dolphins’ earlier dominance (70-point game vs Broncos) contrasted with current failure.
  • Trade-deadline speculation: Dolphins potentially shopping Jalen Waddle, Jalen Phillips, Bradley Chubb for value.

0:00Pat McAfee:Hello beautiful people and welcome to our spooky humble abode, the Thunderdome on this feel-good. Happy Halloween Friday, October 31st, 2025. This program begins now. Football! It is magical and obviously last night, week 9 of the NFL season kicked off in a beautiful fashion with Lamar Jackson going absolutely apeshit in his return to football this season and also his return back home. He throws for four touchdowns. Now, my name is Peter Neverville. Okay, and I've been covering sports longer than you, so I know sports longer than you. I am an old sports media man. And what I see from Lamar Jackson is holy shit good.

0:37Pat McAfee:This type of guy has the opportunity to not only be an incredible leader, he should get those ping pong tables and cornhole boards out of our locker room, but also he has the ability to spin that thing. And if you need him to run, obviously he's going to be faster than you. So whenever you think about Lamar Jackson, you're talking Mount Rushmore type guy. And if you disagree with me, you're wrong. I don't ever think I've ever heard and an argument against mine that I've ever liked. And that's certainly going to be one that you can classify under. I hate it if you say Lamar Jackson is an Mount Rushmore type player.

1:02Pat McAfee:Now, that was on display while the other side of the field was looking like ass cheeks. And whenever you talk about old ass cheeks of a team, you start to talk about teams that maybe win by 30 against a team. And then the next week, just a few days later, get absolutely decimated. Now, the stats in the first half weren't bad, but there was a fourth and two here in clear field goal territory. Now, kick your head and miss the field goal already at that point. Fourth and two, let's go to our best play. You got it. What is it? Obviously, fade to the running back. Okay, so that is something that nobody really enjoyed.

1:32Pat McAfee:I think a lot of people potentially turned the game off at this point. Now, the Dolphins were moving down the field. They get to that position. They get no points. Is there going to be something that maybe happens with the Miami Dolphins? Yes. Chris Greer, general manager and, I believe, president of football operations down there. A lot of power at the Miami Dolphins. He's gone. He's been there since 2016, I do believe. So almost 10 years of service with the Miami Dolphins. And he has since been relieved of his duties after last evening. Now, I think he should have played a little better last night.

2:02Pat McAfee:Yep. I think he should have done a little bit better. When you think about Chris Greer football, you don't necessarily say, like, hey, that team's going to be what we think. But this guy went all in with Tyreek Hill. This guy went all in with McDaniel. This guy went all in with Tua. This guy had a lot of things happen under his leadership. but there was a time where we all thought maybe they were going to be great. There was a time they scored 70 against the Denver Broncos defense. There was a time where McDaniel was super cool. Remember, those were good times. Oh, yeah. And now last night, all we watched was Stephen Ross with binoculars, okay, looking down and going, what the hell's going on out here?

2:40Pat McAfee:We stink. And then he turned those binoculars right over to the suite next to him where that general manager was. Why is this happening? And then he goes back here, and then he goes over here. He goes, we need to get this guy the hell out of here. So, whenever you think about last night's game, it's a team that does not have a winning season in the Baltimore Ravens, potentially turning it around completely and looking like the team that we thought they could be. Defensively getting some stops. Defensively getting some stops. Defense making some plays. Turnovers. Okay, now we're having a good time.

3:08Pat McAfee:Congratulations to the Baltimore Ravens and to the sportsbooks who predicted that Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens were going to return whenever he was healthy enough to play. Let's go to the talks table for their thoughts. We have Harry Potter and Heavenly Hulk Hulkster. Heavenly Hulkster, thank you so much for making an appearance. I hope you got a chance to experience all the love that was sent your way when you passed away. I hope you got a chance to watch that game last night, Heavenly Hulkster. What were your thoughts from above? Well, dude, just like you said, great being back. Obviously, you said I did feel a lot of love.

3:41There were also a lot of people out there who maybe were pissing on the Hulkster when he passed away. But, well and behold, you see the angels' wings. You see the halo. It turns out St. Peter is one of the biggest Hulkamaniacs of all time.

3:57Pat McAfee:I guess we should have kind of put two and two together once we saw the halo and everything. Congrats. I guess that's kind of the big question whenever you're on Earth. Yeah, exactly. I go up there and, you know, I'm thinking, hey, am I going to be waiting around? You know, what's the deal? Boom. St. Peter immediately. I see a real American. That really was special. And he's just drilled me with questions about WrestleMania III. How'd you body slam Andre, dude? How'd you do it, dude? We talked for about 50 minutes, and then he said, you know what, Hulkster? I got something for you. And boom, look at these beauties.

4:31You usually got to wait about 150 years living beyond the pearly gates to get a big pair of Angels wigs like these. St. Peter said, uh-uh-uh. Those are a big pair, because you're obviously a huge guy. Those are a big pair of wing wigs. Big dude, exactly. So, yeah, you know, the Hulkster's doing pretty damn good being at the big Hogan hangout in the sky. And I would say, you know, we got every single football game on the TV. My big takeaway from last night is, boy, the Dolphins fucking suck. Tua stinks. Are you allowed to say that in heaven? I didn't know. That's kind of the thing, dude. You can do whatever you want up here.

5:10I'm certified platinum when I got these wigs in this halo, brother. But usually, obviously, there are situations where, as I was going to say, I better take it easy because the halo's starting to slip a little bit. That's what you said. You dropped an F-bog. Did I? Yeah. I apologize, dude. I'm just in a great mood, you know. Obviously, me and, you know, around Clearwater Beach and Dolphins are my team, one of my teams. And it's time to just rebuild the whole thing. So, yeah, it was an okay game, but you know this, dude. When you're in Hogan's Hangout, especially the one behind the pearly gates, once this game got poopy like you mentioned, see, I got Meatloaf coming in.

5:53I got Ozzy Osbourne coming in. You think I wouldn't rather listen to those guys shred on some access? By the way, that's huge news. Sorry, I apologize. Some of this stuff may seem to be breaking news. Just another Monday night at Hogan's Hangout. It's got for me, dude.

6:08Pat McAfee:Great football game, though. It was a great football game for the Baltimore Ravens. Lamar Jackson is back. Harry Potter, your thoughts on the game last night and how it compares to, I guess, what's the sport? Quidditch. Quidditch. All I can really think is that Lamar Jackson would have been wonderful in the Quidditch room. Truly, I'm a little emotional just being next to the Hulkster. I'm so happy to see him. I can't believe that he's in heaven and he got his wings already. Harry, remind me, because I'm a huge fan of what you do. The wizardry stuff you do is so cool. Thank you. I mostly watch sports more than you, and I know more than you about it because of that.

6:48Pat McAfee:So I certainly have that particular angle about myself. But for some of us that maybe haven't seen a lot of Harry Potter, what country does Harry Potter hail from? Well, I'm a bit of a British bloke. I'm kind of trying to find the accent here. Going into Luke Littler a little bit. trying to kind of think of the Scousers a little bit. Oh, okay. But yes, an English lad, if you will. But I fancy the football last night. What is your mood? You're a wizard? You're a wizard? Like what Lamar Jackson's able to do outside the block? Exactly. I'm just like Lamar. Little bits of one of one, if you will. It was a fantastic football game.

7:30I'm very happy for Gumps to have his GM finally fired. I know he was excited about that. And I like what I saw out of young Mike McDaniel. I thought he was quite a lively chap on the sidelines. It was much different than we usually saw. And I wonder if his team hates his guts even more because he was yelling at him.

7:52Pat McAfee:Okay, so you're saying maybe a little bit different than what we had been like on the sideline. Anytime the locker room sees you change the way you act, that means, oh, it's not working. and you don't even believe in the stuff that was happening. And the people that can tell if it's real or if it's fake, and to be honest, McDaniel might be fed up, and that might be why he starts getting a little bit more lively on the sideline. And then there's going to be people that say, is he going to be a little bit more accountability-driven as he understands that his days might be numbered at this point as a Miami Dolphins head coach?

8:16Pat McAfee:There's only 32 head coaches in the NFL. This is one of the jobs. Now, Miami, are you ever going to be able to win in the NFL? Since my time covering this thing, Dan Marino, what am I going to get done? You're poor, dude. You go back to 72, obviously. I was there. I was 18 whenever that was taking place. And I saw that team go undefeated. And I thought, wow, this city, this weather, this team, this is going to be what it's going to be like forever. What I didn't realize was there comes a lot of distractions with that city, that weather, that situation. And I think in football, it takes a lot of people.

8:48Pat McAfee:It takes a lot of people to really be all going in the same direction. I think it's going to be very difficult for the Miami Dolphins to win strictly because of how awesome that entire area is down there for everything but football. I think that is a real thing to talk about as a young or old sports media person like I am, Peter Neverville. But on that note, that offense, that team, they were supposed to win. It's kind of all gone to hell. And now McDaniel's chewing people out on the sideline. Let's go to our coach for today. Let's go to Super Bowl champion, Yinzer legend, Coach Bill Cowher. Coach, now, Coach, great to see you.

9:26Pat McAfee:Thank you, Coach. Thank you, boys. Coach, you saw a little fire out of McDaniel last night. Were you impressed, or what were your thoughts on last night's game? Tell you what, I am a Super Bowl winning coach. 15 years for the black and the gold. Hall of Fame, let's not forget about that. You can read about that in my book, Heart and Steel. Okay, you kind of got a little Dr. Phil book selling ability. Yeah, situation. Pretty good. You know, if you know anything about me, I don't love the cut of Mike McDaniel jib with all those things flapping around his shoes and whatnot. and the, is he wearing corduroys or what do you call those?

10:00Joggers. Joggers. Didn't love those. He just didn't have what it took last night. Neither did Tua. Tua looked like Neal O'Donnell throwing them two interceptions in the 1995 Super Bowl. On the other side, though, Lamar Jackson looked like a young slash, a young Cordell Stewart running around out there. It was very impressive. And, yes, the Ravens are fully back, and they are going to win the AFC North.

10:19Pat McAfee:Man, Cordell Stewart. Ten years maybe before his time. Yes. Ten years maybe before his time. It would have been spectacular. Oh, my God. You're talking about punt return, wide receiver, quarterback, play safety if you need it. Guy was unbelievable. And when 10 was on the field, every play was alive. Feels like that with Lamar Jackson. Let's go to longtime sports and weather reporter. For your local news, he's on your side. Ladies and gentlemen, Edgar Sampson here. How you doing, Edgar? My name is Edward Simpson. No relation to OJ, but yes, thank you, Pat. Oh, I thought it was Edgar Sampson. No, Edward Simpson.

10:56You got very close. But no relation. Zero relation to OJ.

10:59Pat McAfee:You think when people see you, they would think immediately, you know what, that might be the juice is something like that. If they see me run a couple routes or maybe take a handoff, they do think that. Got the same jaw. I like your pizzazz. Yeah, they do kind of have a similar jaw and strength. There is a glaring difference, but there is maybe, you know. I see it. The difference is all I'm saying. I'm saying you don't look like the juice, dude. Yeah, and he's in heaven. Remember that. Yeah, you see the juice. You see the juice up there. Edward Simpson, let's go back to what you were talking about, no relation.

11:33Pat McAfee:What did you see from Baltimore maybe on the defensive side that makes you think they could go on a run and are warranted of being the AFC North favorites to win the division? Well, I think Chuck Pagano, you know, think about it. Chuck Pagano, he's got them figured out. Kyle Hamilton playing all over the place. You see him moving around. Offense really can't get a beat on where he ever will be. He can blitz. He can cover. He can play in the box like he's a linebacker. I think they're looking pretty good. Now, you might say, hey, this Dolphins offense may not be the best offense in the league, but hey, you still turned the ball over.

12:04You still played well and got a win on Thursday night.

12:06Pat McAfee:So, obviously, this fourth and two call, we're going to keep playing it just because what happened? Chris Greer might have called this play Don. Might have been why it happened. Schefter has reported that McDaniel is going to remain the head coach for the rest of the season. That announcement was made alongside the Greer firing a general manager. I'll tell you what, hot dog what happened last night. Lamar Jackson goes down to Miami and maybe saves the city. You know, maybe changes the future of the Dolphins. Let's go to the back room. Old Florida man back there. Florida man, old gambling, look like partially dice player, maybe corrupt.

12:43Pat McAfee:Is that Carl Havoc? It does appear to be. Take this thing off. What are your thoughts on the Miami Dolphins State currently, brother? Chris Greer obviously let go from the Miami Dolphins, effective immediately, which we don't know what that means. And McDaniel to be the head coach for the rest of the year. And Lamar Jackson and Baltimore Ravens get back on track against your guys' team. How do you currently feel, old Florida man? Chris Greer definitely had to go. It was a massive mistake. He was there way too long. As for how they played, the defense played really well and the offense has been shite.

13:18And that is the problem when two is making the most money out of anybody.

13:21Pat McAfee:You talk about shite. What's right next to you there? I see some big old butt cheeks on top of somebody's head. What's going on back there, sir? E-A-G-L-E-S. Eagles! Go, birds. Push that tush. Push that tush. That's our ass cheeks. Okay, so that's what we thought we were seeing there. That's little Nicky. Those are ass cheeks on your head right there? Yeah, my favorite play in football is a tush push. Nobody can stop it. Nobody can beat it. The Giants can't stop it. The refs can't stop it. What? And you, Goodell. You can't stop it. We're the best team in football. Go, Bards. Okay, so in front of you, I see one of the teams you called out.

13:57Pat McAfee:I see the shirt you're wearing, too, the Thanks Giants shirt with Saquon doing the whoop-de-woo over a guy. The Lions running backs are on his head. What's that? No, remember? Easy. They're not ass and cheeks anymore, Coach. Oh, I forgot. You're right. That was week one. Yeah, it was just week one. Sorry. Now, all of a sudden, they're MVP candidates. Now, that's what they got going on. So, they're the opposite of what's on that man's head back there, that particular John back there. But right in front of him is massive Giants legend in the making and superstar, I do believe. Jackson Dart, how's it feel about a man with ash cheeks on his head being able to dunk on you, rightfully so?

14:30Oh, what up, Coach? Yeah, I'm Mormon, dog, so I don't know much about pushing tushes. But I just hate losing. My boy, Scott, we're going to miss him, dog. But got to get back in the wind calm for real, man.

14:43Pat McAfee:Hey, Jackson, can you look at the camera so we can make sure everybody understands the accessorizing that was taking place here? We've got multiple chains on, too, here, Jackson, don't we? Oh, yeah, dude, I got the drip, dog. 4-4-6 in the trap. Hey, Ed Simpson, that is something that is going to be able to happen for seemingly the next 10 years with Jackson Dart. Feels like he's actually going to be their franchise guy next. Doesn't it feel that way? Yeah, they found their guy. I don't know if he would appreciate the representation that Bruce is giving of Jackson Dart, though. What do you think?

15:14Pat McAfee:Well, I guess you're Edward Simpson, so you're not impersonating anybody. But do you think – actually, you kind of are. Do you think whoever you are drawing inspiration from right now is feeling disrespected by how you're up? There may be a few people that think I am targeting them. But, no, it's a conglomerate of a bunch of people that I have, you know, that I am – Draw inspo from all over the place. That's what you do whenever you've been around as long as I have. Peter never – Yeah, me too. I've been around not quite as long as you, but, you know, a few years. Wait, who are you again? Me? Yeah.

15:41Edward Simpson. I thought you were Ellen DeGeneres. Oh. Oh. Oh. I look like that. Hold on. You know what? I see where you're going with that. Yeah, she lives in my neighborhood now.

15:52Pat McAfee:That's what I've heard. Oh, yeah, yeah. We hate her over there, too. No, no, no. She, obviously, yeah, a lot of heat on the way out with the internet for sure. I mean, the run she had, though, with that show. Just think about it as people that do daily shows here. The run that she had on that thing was outrageous. I mean, it was like the blueprint for what shows were. And then that all kind of just really quickly. You've outlasted her, Peter. no no i've not she was uh yeah i guess peter neverville has but i i remember i'm yelling into a microphone in a in a small me and ever simpson doing the same thing we've been around a long long time in this business we don't like what's happening nationally i'll tell you that do we not at all it's a bloody mess i mean don't get into the real details of things for instance easy conversation michael jordan's the best of all time that's why i'm wearing these bro look at shoes.

16:40Pat McAfee:You think I'm old, then boom! I'm wearing 23s. Look at his shoes. I'm cool. Young kids relate to that, yeah. Jordan, though. Go ahead. What? Debate, moron. Teardose 40. See, I would take Michael Jordan in that debate. You know that. You're right. That is how this would go. That is exactly how this would go, and that's why these young kids that do TV and stuff have no idea what they're doing. No clue. We did that for what? I mean, they're talking about talking about other sports. Yeah, right. Imagine them working at green screen they can never work a green screen like me and you can yeah that's right and having to look off camera yep there's a screen over here and it's like you're in a mirror you know like you know you're trying these youngs can't handle that they can't handle that at all and why do they even watch these other sports braun jordan can carry the first hour easily of every show what are we even talking about and then guess what what the dallas cowboys do we'll tell you jerry jones okay went on the record and said uh hey listen it's hard to really care right now about what's going on on the gridiron okay i love my cowboys everybody knows i love my cowboys there's a hundred billion dollar present value with gas out there okay little honey hole okay we got we got something special that's why i'm talking to you on telephone rather than trying to fix our defense with the dallas cowboys you know i actually invested a one billion dollars in a rig to be able to get three miles deep into what could potentially be a honeypot of natural gas.

18:07Pat McAfee:Now, you might not understand anything I'm saying right there, but when we're talking scratch-offs, especially in the oil game, if you do recall, I had one beautiful oil rig. As soon as she penetrated this lovely earth that we have, that thing went down and it started coughing like any mammal would. And then that thing started spewing oil. And all of a sudden, a hundred million dollar drill. And I said, Jerry, holy shit, you bought the Dallas Cowboys. That's all you need. just need one of these things to really go ham well jerry jones looking to do it again jerry jones put one billion dollars in one of these rigs i need to get three miles down there they're a little bit worried about how hot it's going to be so i need to go ahead and invest in this piping because all the older piping that's trying to get the natural gas they can get the excerpts of this honey hole but i can get right to the heart of it if i can get down there three miles so right now we're talking about that because i'm trying to figure out how the hell to get to the ground you know they say if you keep digging you'll get to china that's what i'm trying to do right now but before china 100 billion dollars in natural bills that's what he said to wall street journal now in a nutshell if we read the article right jackson dart is that not basically what was said in there in a nutshell exactly coach okay thank you jackson thank you jackson we have uh some uh gas you know uh dealers and information in the building but that is what jerry was talking about so in his world if you look at how he started his money just in general it was literally a one rig, a drill that went down, got him$100 million.

19:34Pat McAfee:He's got the Cowboys. He was in debt big time. Jerry Jones has always been a roll-of-the-dice, scratch-off guy. And right now, in his head, there's$100 billion right beneath our feet here. So you're telling me there's$100 billion down there? Yeah. Why haven't we gone? It's too deep. For who? Says Jerry Jones. And that is what he is focused on at this exact moment. Because if not him, you don't think Elon's about to find a little shovel that can get down there and figure that whole thing out. That guy can go to Mars. He can sure as hell get down there if he has to, is what Jerry Jones said. I got to beat him there.

20:08Pat McAfee:If he's worth$100 billion now, you can spend it if you're Jerry Jones. If I get$100 billion, the Dallas Cowboys are only going to get better. They're only going to get better and better. But what Dak Prescott had to say about it was this. Right, you read the comment, and being honest with you, I don't know the full, full context of it. I do know that a piece of it. But being a fan and you just read that or hear that, yeah, of course, especially as many fans are and do and thankful that they do live and breathe by this team and they feel like their jobs are, you know what I mean, putting all their effort into this.

20:43So, yeah, that can definitely be frustrating. But in that sense, I would just say, like, the guy's never really lied about who he is or what he's trying to do. And I think right there he's just, I mean, hopefully he was talking about in that one particular moment. Maybe in those five minutes is what he was alluding to and having a chance at a$100 billion opportunity, I think he might take five minutes as well and go answer a call. So hopefully that's what he means right. But I can see I can be frustrating. Once again, for us as players, we control, we can control.

21:17That doesn't pertain to us right now. Our job is to make sure that we're getting ready for Monday night and going to be the best team that we can when we go out and play the Cardinals.

21:25Pat McAfee:Have you ever watched Shark Tank? these billionaires invest in a lot of different companies that call for their time this is jerry jones he's a billionaire he's a businessman he's going to have other obligations in moments in fleeting times but throughout his entire life all he cares about is the start is basically what dak prescott says there i think that's an accurate descriptor of the situation but cowboys fans don't want to hear that right now whenever their team is uh potentially ash cheeks on the defense side after a massive trade takes place of michael parsons going to green bay packers and him living up to every expectation that everybody thought he was going to be this year ed well the problem is Don't Cowboys fans usually argue that Jerry is too involved?

21:59That he's in there and he's always like hoarding. Oh, Eddie! I don't want to come up with a reversal here now. But what I'm saying, think about it. Jerry's around. He has his own press conferences. No other owners do that. I thought they'd be happy that Jerry's taking some time away from the facility.

22:13Pat McAfee:Hey, is that a dishrag in your pocket? I did find this on the ice maker right before the show. Yes, I knew I needed a little pizzazz. You do got good flair, Ed. I think when people think about Ed Simpson, no relation, they think, Wow, that guy's got good pizzazz and good sports takes. That's a good call, Heavenly Hulkster. I didn't even think about that. Jerry's basically saying,$100 billion. Have you ever seen – do you know what you could buy with$100 billion? That's what Jerry starts – Renovate the stadium again. Brand new stadium. I can own five of the teams here now. Exactly. All of a sudden, I own five NFL teams.

22:44Pat McAfee:That's where I'm at. I'm at elite status. Okay, I'm right now Rome for my wedding. Okay, that's what I'm doing at that stage of this entire thing. Jerry saying, hell, I might fuck around and go to space like all these other guys that are worth all this amount of money. That is what Jerry's thinking. And then he's also saying on the other side, they got a little baby Jerry down there and Steven down there and you got Shoddy and the boys down there. I got to take care of this at the moment. The boys are doing just fine. But everybody wants him to change his title, right? Well, if you're not going to do that, then you're not the general manager of the team.

23:12Pat McAfee:So if you're going to be the general manager, then, you know, we at least in the middle of the season need you to act like you're focused on the football team. Do you think that's a big problem, Heavenly Hulkster, as you look down from above? My two cents would be the Cowboys fans. Hey, shut up, dude. Okay, it's been the same thing for the last 20 years. Listen, Jerry's an oil man, okay? You don't just wake up one more and say, you know what, I don't want to do this anymore. Cowboys are worth$10 billion. He's potentially sitting on$100 billion. Yeah, okay, I think I know where he's going. It reminds me a lot of a story back when I was at WCW.

23:46You know, you got the Hulkster, who's obviously the biggest earner there is on the planet. And you got Eric Bischoff and Ted Turner coming to me and saying, Hulkster, we need you to take some of that money and maybe funnel it to guys like Diboleko, you know what I mean? Elevate the rest of the roster. A thousand holds, dude. Exactly. A thousand holds. Everybody knows him. Everybody loves him. Hulkster wasn't going to do that. Why? You don't know that that's true, do you? I guess you do. Believe me, brother. I do know that that's true. And the reason is because Hulkster puts butts in seats. Okay?

24:14So the point being, all these people can say all this mumbo-jumbo, dude, and say whatever they want, dude. You tell me AT &T Stadium isn't going to be packed full on Sunday to watch their beloved Dallas Cowboys? It will be. So you can bitch and mow it all you want. Jerry ain't changing a damn thing, brother.

24:31Pat McAfee:Well, and Harry, that's a good point, actually. I saw Jerry acting this offseason. Why wasn't he studying tape when he did that? Why wasn't he Coach Cowher, you know what I mean? Why wasn't he doing that? I'm always in the lab studying tape, so that's not something that registers in my mind. All I did was live, eat, and breathe football, so that's not something that I could ever just register with. Now, Coach Cowher, let's go to your world, Harry Potter. Acting, how much time did that take for Jerry? Because what if he is focused on acting and nailing a scene, maybe the best any cameo actor has ever done in the history?

25:02Try to win an Emmy, dude.

25:04Pat McAfee:He'll probably win some sort of an award for what he did there. And also, maybe finding an oil rig that can get$100 billion. But the acting world, why was he focused on that, you think? Is he maybe distracted too much to be focused on the general manager duties, Harry? When it comes to someone like Jerry, it's a bit of a conundrum just because he's a man that can't be tied down to one thing. I know Dallas Cowboys are very similar to, you know, Victor Crum fans, if you will. Well said, Harry. It's very hard to speak like this. Yeah, of course. I could have asked you to. But, yeah, I'm sorry. Jerry Jones is Jerry Jones.

25:45He doesn't give a shit what anybody says. And guess what? He's going to find that$100 million in it.

25:55Pat McAfee:$100 billion in it. That's a little different. If it was$100 million, I don't think people would care. $100 billion is like one of those hilarious fairytale things that's out there. You're telling me three miles down, there's$100 billion? He probably started kicking it. How do I? Can I? Where's my shovel? Why haven't we started? What are you talking about? Can't get there. Also, closer you get to the center, allegedly the harder it gets. A hardback. You know those volcanoes that we see go off? That's where they're coming from. They're coming from down there. So how are you going to be able to get to the natural gas whenever you've got all that heat down there from the volcano?

26:27Pat McAfee:And Jerry's like, I just have a billion dollars. I can get these pops to be able to handle it. Yeah, they'll be cowboys pops. They'll be able to handle it. Star on every – could have paid Michael. Mike, you heard Jerry talk about him. I believe is what you're directly referring to. But it's all in the title, I think, Ed. Honestly, I believe it's all in the title that Jerry Jones has, in which he is, you know, the general manager, acting, and president. And that first 27 minutes of this show was brought to you by DoorDash. Hell yeah. Now, this DoorDash is certainly something. Is it not, Ed? It's the best.

27:01Why do you think this little guy, Smurf, has the piece of pizza in his hand?

27:04Pat McAfee:Well, that's right, Ed. I don't think it's a Smurf. I think it could potentially be, and I don't know if they paid for the rights for the duck, but it appears as if that is potentially a duck hand, if I had to guess, holding a slice of pizza in a very interesting way. You know, this particular mascot's animal doesn't know properly how to hold a piece of pizza, I think, so just kind of went with whatever they could because they knew, wow, I can't believe this pizza just got delivered to my house as easily and as efficiently as it did. And they just grabbed that thing out of the box and said, give me that thing.

27:31Pat McAfee:And Hulk, so you understand whenever a slice looks that nice, you just kind of grab however you can. Yeah, without a doubt, you got to remember, dude, I mean, if you're getting this from DoorDash, it's coming from the place, and there's a good chance there's piping hot grease on the other carriage of that slice of baza. You're burning your hand, dude. Well, ask Harry right now. Harry kind of looks like he's got a good handle on that thing, Randy. Oh, wow. It's a piece of pizza. It's massive. You kind of look like you got little baby hands with how big that pizza is. But you can get pizza and listen to this.

28:03Pat McAfee:Anything else? What? You kidding me, dude? You need to order it? Sure. Yeah. You need something to shave your face? You need clothes because you look like an asshole? Yeah. Not that that would ever happen to any of us. Nope. Never. DoorDash got your back. I was in a place. I forget where I was. Open DoorDash. There was like three options. I was like, wow, we're really fucking out here. You don't even have to do like the Google Maps thing. You know your way out there. Anything that is in 40 minutes of you, 30 minutes of you available on DoorDash. Basically at this stage on DoorDash. I will say, there are some prices that you're paying for some things just for convenience that you look at and you go, I can't be doing that every day.

28:41Pat McAfee:Yeah. I can't be doing that every day. But, boy, it's nice to be sitting at home and P.F. Chang shows up. Oh, my God. 740, don't even have to leave the house. Let me go ahead and dive right on in here to Chang's Spicy Chicken. We appreciate that. Shout out to DoorDash and shout out to sports fans everywhere who can order DoorDash or use DoorDash on game days in our mind. Yeah. Hell yeah, brother. Joining us now, ladies and gentlemen, is a man who is the face of sports conversation, which kind of what we hate about. Ed, I don't want to kind of throw any direct shots. I don't hate anybody in the sports industry.

29:18Ed doesn't? No, Ed does not. Just claw my way to the top.

29:24Pat McAfee:Yeah, okay. All the way to the top? Ed's trying to get all the way to the top? I might be in Tucson by next year. Where are you at right now? Do you know? Texarkana. Okay, Texarkana. I've been hearing about Arkansas because I guess there's a D3 football game that has a big rivalry game next weekend. Oh, yeah? Yeah, their stadiums are like three minutes away from each other. Interesting. You should go. Division tree? Yeah, division three game. Who cares? Division tree? Harry. That's a good point. Harry, there's a lot of good games next week. We don't need to be burning up a bunch of jet fuel going to Arkansas for some D3 game, brother.

29:57What?

29:58Pat McAfee:Have you heard? You know nothing about this, obviously. Goddamn right. And it's bliss. Can't say that. Yeah. You're in heaven. How many times do I got to tell you guys, dude? Boom! Okay? Makes me get out of jail free card. Wherever you go, brother. Are those wings going to take you down to that D3 rivalry game, maybe? Yeah, maybe if St. Peter's joking around and we're, you know, wrestling or something and he clips them and I fall out of the sky and land there. Sure, baby. outside of that. Come on, dude. Only place I'm going to be is a beach and right in front of Hoag's Hangout. Clearwater Beach.

30:37Oh, yeah, of course, dude. You could do one of your clouds like you did a few months back. It wasn't gibberish, this little guy, saying I can't understand a damn thing that's coming out of his mouth, brother.

30:51Pat McAfee:Joining us now, that's Harry Potter. I saw, I've heard. I told him, his buddy Albus Dumbledore. He's a sweet dude. You know, I asked him if he wanted to come trade with the Hulkster. You know, he didn't like it when the Hulkster started. Smack him around a bit. Give him a couple of atomic leg drops. Apparently those British folks don't love that. You slapped Albus. Real hard, dude. Couple chops. And then hit him with the, I am a real man. Joining us now, ladies and gentlemen, the face of modern sports media, Emmy Award winning, Dan Orlovsky. Hey, Dan. Whoa! Bart, man. What up, Bart? What's going on?

31:33Pat McAfee:I think this was a good decision. You feel good about it? Probably cut a hole. I think it was a good decision. Did you feel good about it or no? Did you guys hear me? Yeah, it's just kind of echoed, you know, but I think natural mask stuff. We had it with a Florida man in the back as well. Good enough. It's part of Halloween. It's kind of Halloween football. We can hear you. You look amazing, and we appreciate you joining us. Bart, what's your big take? Takeaway from last night's game. Lamar Jackson back and filthy. Is that the conversation? A couple of those throws were obviously elite. Highest QBR at one point.

32:07Pat McAfee:I don't know if that's still the stat. I apologize for not looking that up right before we go live. But he is just unbelievable through the sky. And then obviously being able to run. Bart, what did you see from the Ravens and Lamar last night that made me make you think, this team can go on a run and maybe win the AFC North? We said Lamar in the offense was fine. You know, the play-action pass game, that's kind of their bread and butter right now, throwing the ball. That was really good. That's kind of who they are at their best when it comes to the pass game. Certainly the run game got going a little bit in the fourth quarter.

32:40I don't think that they dominated at the line of scrimmage running the football, but Lamar looked relatively sharp when it comes to not having played for a month. So, like, offensively, I thought they were fine. I mean, Rinkus kind of smoothed throughout the course of the game, and they did some good stuff. He made some really nice throws versus main coverage.

32:59Pat McAfee:Bart, that's a pretty good breakdown, bro. Bart, that's a pretty good breakdown. Yeah, yeah, thank you. My big takeaway is how good the defense look. You know, the defense in the last three games has given up 13 a game. Bring it down to the football. Matt Kiesel is playing the nickel. Much better against the run. and took the battle away. Gilman's been an outstanding addition just because Gilman allows Kyle to go closer to the football. Kyle's big enough to handle the run. He's athletic enough to play against any type of pass. Malachi Starks, I thought, had a fantastic game. Just when it comes to running to the football, playing with discipline, and then a bigger defensive line, for the most part, played a way more consistent game run defense-wise.

33:43So, you know, the offense for Lamar playing for the first time in about a month was good. The big takeaway is how impressive the defense has been in the last three or four games. That's kind of what gives me the biggest encouragement. This defense continues to play this way. This offense was just very big last year.

34:01Pat McAfee:They'll be fine. Okay, Bart. Bart knows ball. Yeah, he does. That's part of it. 13 a game the last three games for that defense. That was ass and cheeks like the tush push just a few weeks back, which we were all very worried about with, you know, the Baltimore Ravens. Everybody, Sportsbooks had them as the favorite to win the AFC North, even when they didn't look good. And when Lamar was hurt, and obviously their record at this exact moment is three and five. I just want to make sure I had that right. And they're still the favorite to win the AFC North. It's like everybody believes that this Ravens team can be great just because we all know who's on that team.

34:34Pat McAfee:We just hadn't seen it for a while. And now all of a sudden, it's like, let's get the Miami Dolphins in prime time. Lamar's return. He's going to go absolutely insane. And on the other side, they're going to fire the general manager. Your thoughts, Bart, on Chris Greer since 2016, kind of his era ending in this entire thing? Yeah, this is the move that's most likely for Miami. One, the roster's not good enough. If you look at his drafts, Chris Greer, I think since like 2021, I think there's like five starters or six starters that have come from their first three-round picks. So you're talking 15, 20 picks that are made right around there.

35:13There are only six guys that have become starters. It just hasn't panned out health-wise or development-wise. I never thought that Mike McDaniel, at least right now, was that kind of on the hot seat. I knew results matter, yes. Two years ago, just about this time, this was the number one seed in football. They were playing at home versus the Titans on Monday night to kind of lock up the AFC East in almost the number one seed. They lose that game in that ridiculous comeback in the fourth quarter, and it's kind of gone downhill since then. That's kind of like, I don't think Mike McDaniel forgot how to coach.

35:49I don't believe that Tua, who was at that point an MVP candidate, forgot how to play. So this, for Miami, the biggest kind of issue is that the talent isn't really equal to the echelon AFC teams. I think the next step, Jalen Waddell, I would entertain trading him if I could get good value, Jalen Phillips and Bradley Chubb. I would very much so entertain both trading both of those guys if I get fair value.

36:16Pat McAfee:Just as we're talking about it here, they trade Jalen Ramsey and they trade Johnny Smith to the Pittsburgh Steelers this offseason, preseason. What were the expectations for this Dolphins team? And now we're talking about them trading away all their other best players. I'm very fascinated on what was supposed to happen this year. And let's go to one half of the hammer. Don, Cowboys, old Florida man. Florida man, what were the expectations? And was this inevitable? This was inevitable. We were quietly optimistic. I mean, Jalen Waddell's not getting traded. I could see trading Chubb and Phillips, Judon maybe.

36:53But Ramsey wanted to go. Not paying Jonu Smith was diabolical. Our only pro bowler wanted to be there. He had to stay. You lose him. And it's been a disaster ever since.

37:04Pat McAfee:Smart to start speaking with your hands. I don't think anybody really knew which person back there was speaking. So thank you for doing that, just strictly because you have such a stone face. You too, Bart. You should be pretty animated when you're talking because, you know, it's just a still shot. Yeah, there you go. That's what we're talking about. By the way, great breakdown by Bart Simpson. People are reading the captions going, what is Bart knows ball here? Unbelievable. Bart knows ball here. Eat my shorts, dude. That's Tush Push, number one fan, back in the back. He's Philly John, obviously.

37:32Pat McAfee:And Foxy, hot dog, dude. You look good. Yeah, I'm a hot dog. I'd just like to point out that this hot dog has no mustard, ketchup only. I actually ordered it with mustard and had to paint over this because everyone's out there. But, yeah, let's go ketchup on your hot dog. I like that. Now, you put the ketchup on top because you had to paint over the mustard that was on the top? Exactly. The right move, actually. And everybody goes, hot dog is sandwich, yada, yada, yada. It's a taco, okay? And just like any taco, you know, anything that's, like, movable, you put in the bottom. Then you put stuff on top.

38:03Pat McAfee:You could do that. You definitely put the ketchup at the bottom of the taco. And then you put the hot dog on top of that. Then you shut that thing. What's that? Interesting. Ketchup on the bottom and then the dog? Yeah, you put it at the bottom. Now, granted, if you have buns that are kind of ass-cheek and they are separated, don't do that. That is the worst-case scenario. The only reason why I don't like going on top is because the way you bite it gets on your face. But if you put it on the bottom, that thing's part of a bite. You know what I'm talking about? You know what I'm saying, Bart? I'm into that now.

38:34I actually like taking American cheese, a square of it, slicing it or cutting it in half and putting half on each side of the hot dog.

38:43Pat McAfee:Yeah, not a bad play. That's a good play. Did not expect that. I thought you were going to say you eat the cheese slices from the inside out like it's a pizza whenever you rip them in half because of some of your other takes. Like Reese's Cups. Like Reese's Cups. What do you do to the Reese's Cups again? if it's just like a Reese's cup the traditional one I take the kind of the perforated shell I bite it off because it's too much chocolate there's not a good ratio and I don't like milk chocolate so I just bite it off and kind of eat the internal part yeah you put a video of yourself doing that or somebody else put a video of you doing that because that is serial killer behavior I think and when people watch you do that they thought to themselves we should check this guy and then I think I said to you immediately afterwards like hey you can just kind of split that in half and then eat that thing like a pizza from the middle, right?

39:29Pat McAfee:You did tell me this. You did tell me this. I haven't done it yet, but now you've reminded me, so I'm going to do that. You look like Ace Ventura whenever he sits down and you need an ashtray whenever he's doing sunflower seeds with this entire thing. How old are you, Bart? I think I was 13. I'm 42. You're how? 42? 42. I just turned 42 this summer. Happy birthday, dude. Happy birthday, brother. Hey, you've been eating Reese's like this for probably, what, 32 years? And you never thought once to go from the middle inside out? See, that's what we're talking about with serial kill behavior. And Ryan Clark saw that, him doing that, and we're like, other people need to see this.

40:11Pat McAfee:Other people need to see this. It's a big-time problem. Speaking of needing to see this, we need to see a good game, okay, NFL? I'm tired of it. 55 years ago, 1970, okay, this league came together to do something special. I was there when they signed the shit. Okay? First time. 55 years. Last weekend, there was only one game that was decided by single digits. Okay? Only one game first. Who are you? I'm just an old sports media person. Peter. You see, and I go through waves of who I am. Am I a conversational respect to young generation guy? Or am I, I know more than you because I've been around this place longer than you have.

40:51Pat McAfee:I forgot more about sports than you've ever learned. Yeah, but we're in a very new stage of life. Don't care. Don't care. I know every life, kid. Your life, this big. My life, this big. Shut the fuck up. It's hard not to be that guy every time, but I don't want to do that, okay? Especially because we got Heavenly Hulkster here. Thank you, dude. Although I do like kind of the best of both worlds there, brother. Well, that's what I'm trying to do, yeah. I'm kind of in the middle of it because he brought up Jalen Waddell. Let's trade him out of there. And you heard Dolphins fan, Florida man in the back go, oh, okay.

41:21Pat McAfee:Our only cool thing, really. But, like, him doing this is, like, so cool. Like, it is so cool. I'm sure there will be a lot of teams that would love him. Tuesday, 4 p.m. Eastern time, trade deadline for the NFL. This weekend's matchups are going to have a lot of say in what takes place. But on that note of one good game last weekend and Thursday becomes another double-digit win for a team, there's a game this weekend that's a guaranteed lock. Eddie Simpson, no relation to OJ, has a question. Yeah, no relation to Bart either. Bart, 425 on Sunday, I believe. Chiefs playing the Buffalo Bills. What do you expect from this game?

41:57Who do you think is going to win? And are the Chiefs full of the Chiefs again? Are they back and going to make a run for the Super Bowl? I mean, the Chiefs are as hot as anybody in football's team going. I think they're the second best team in the NFL right now behind Detroit. So, I think it's just clicking. They put Rasheed and Travis next to each other. It's just a problem. Right now, Patrick throwing the ball to either of those guys. was she raised for Travis? She's 52 of 67 for over 600 yards. And those, one of those 600 yards, 351 of them are yards after the catch. And so like, if you watch defenses, AJ, you would speak to this.

42:33Like when they put those two guys next to each other, it's so hard to defend because you have to have so many days on them because they're both in the middle of the field that like they, they attract so much your attention. And then all of a sudden there's worthy running down the field, like uncovered. So how does that happen? When the reality is, you want to have people near them, but you trust those people in space. You know, with a pair like Kelsey, and you give him space, do you trust the person that's going to be, quote, unquote, near them, zone or man? Do you trust them in space? I think this game comes down to most defensive lines.

43:07More defensive lines have been very good this year. The Bills, but that's not going to be. Let's just have some moments. We're waiting for some time away. That's the sense of moments You're such a moment You're the beginning You can get this team on This team's going to bounce And this team's going to bounce And this team's going to bounce

43:27Pat McAfee:You're going to hit this dude on the ground Because I have to Sound like Charlie Brown's parents, dude Yeah, it's starting to drift out a little bit I think there's maybe I don't know if it's when you hit something Or make another noise It drowns out yours in the back Because these phones are so smart The phones are so smart So the phone is trying to listen for voice or sound right now. So whenever you hit your hand, I think it picks up that as opposed to the bland yellow image that's right behind that that is speaking. So I think you can't be too animated. So we said earlier, Bart, need you to be animated.

44:00Pat McAfee:Let's up to it. Let's make sure we're animated in silence. I think that's where we got to be. I think we've got a defensive line. I think defensive line, most of these have been underperforming. I think I've always got a few ways to get Patrick on the ground. But then also, like, Kansas City. Like, Chris Jones has not played to the level of Chris Jones. Our left has been down, but he hasn't been dominant. Josh, this is a game for me. Josh Allen, it's like I've been on to the football at a long time. I'm going to see if this defensive line is going to contain me. We can't hear you. We've got to call you back, brother.

44:40Pat McAfee:Hey, Dan, we've got to call you back. We can't hear what you're saying. You're giving good takes, though. And you look amazing, Bart. We can't hear what you're saying. No, don't do that. Don't do that. How old are you, fool? All right, we'll call you back. We'll call you back, Dan. We'll call you back. Bart, sorry, Bardo. Bardo, we'll call you back. He comes back with a different... What was he saying? He was saying defensive lines need to be... Both defensive lines have played poor this year. And so the defensive line... Oh, my God. Oh, my God. He's sweating his ass off. Dan, yeah, I think that's what I look like right now as well.

45:10Pat McAfee:Oh, you have the AirPods in. That was definitely what it was. Don! You fool! Now you're muted. Now you're muted, I think. Did you mute it? Did we mute you? We muted you? I can't hear Pat. There we go. Can you hear me now? Can you hear me now? Don't know. I'm not Pat. Please. Peter in Everville. Thank you. Have a little respect. I hear him now. Dan. It wasn't Bart, guys. It was just a mask. Oh! Just a mask. Oh, man. I got another costume. All right. Here we go. Cool. Yes. Taylor the one a little bit. Sorry for infringement. Matt Hasselback. Well, don't give away the gimmick, brother. I can't wait.

45:50Pat McAfee:Happy Halloween to everybody. Yeah. It's like a slutty nurse costume.

45:57Oh, shit. Call a red, dude. Wow.

46:00Pat McAfee:That's so cool, dude. I'm your father, right? What is that? No. Han Solo. Yeah, technically, that's not the same. But it's the same franchise, so yeah. Oh, it's grandfather, I guess. fodder's fodder. I am your fodder's fodder is what it actually is. That looks great. Let's do a testy do a testy fodder's fodder. Does this sound better? Oh, you sound amazing. Hell yeah. Thank you for joining us, Mr. Kylo Ren. Okay, Hulkster going to need to be a little bit clearer. Mr. Ren. Mr. Ren on that. I appreciate the hell out of you. Hulkster, I didn't know you were such a big fan of the Star Wars franchise.

46:36Oh, yeah, dude. You kidding me? I mean, Harrison and former is always one of my favorite teams, the big-time Hulkamaniac, and then Adam Driver, the guy who played Kylo Ren, he's actually a former Marine, I believe. Ooh-rah. Ooh-rah, dude.

46:48Pat McAfee:Princess Leia up there with you? Yeah, she's a sweet gal. That's nice of you, Hulkster. Thanks for all this breaking news. Feels like you're really breaking a lot of news. Do what I can, dude. Heavenly Hulkster doing his thing. Okay, so Mr. Ren, whenever you think about this Chiefs-Bills game, if you're going to go back to say everything you just said that we couldn't really hear, but in a much shorter condensed version. What would that exactly be, Mr. Wren? Yeah, I think this game comes down to what defensive line plays better than they have this year. Neither defensive line has been great. Buffalo's playing without Ed Oliver.

47:21Bosa's brought in. Bosa, you're brought in for a game like this. Vanessa's been okay. Rousseau's been fine. So, like, they're going to have to, at some point in the fourth quarter, Kansas City's going to have that third down, that fourth down. They've got to get to Patrick. They've got to make sure that Patrick's legs aren't used. And then vice versa, Kansas City's defensive line. Chris Jones has not been what Chris Jones has been. Karloftis has been up and down. If I'm Josh Allen, this game, I've got to score 30 to win. I'm going to hold the football. I'm going to make this defensive line chase me down.

47:50I'm going to try to create big plays because they can't necessarily in the rhythm of their pass game. Whoever defensive line plays better, I think, wins the game.

47:58Pat McAfee:I love that. I can't wait to see who does. What did the Bengals just do? Well, they've got a bunch of people asking for a trade. They've had four people request a trade in the last, let's say, four months, if you include Trey Hendrickson. Most recently, literally, I think yesterday or something like that. So Trey Hendrickson, Logan Wilson, we heard about that last week, McKinley Jackson, and then Mike Pinnell. He was released, and he's back with the Chiefs now. Chris Jones is very pumped about that. There's a lot of people trying to get the hell out of Cincinnati. Now, the narrative is a couple of them came shortly after that players-only defensive meeting.

48:30Pat McAfee:Now, obviously, if you recall, Lou Anarumo, long-time defensive coordinator for the Bengals, is now defensive coordinator for the Indianapolis Colts. This is all on the defensive side of the ball, kind of this entire thing. Was Lou holding the entire place together? Like, what is your kind of takeaway on what's going on in Cincinnati? And on that note, we would like to say to the Cincinnati Bengals fans, we're sorry this has all happened to you guys, but this is a wild scene that this is taking place in an AFC North team that has just spent hundreds and hundreds of millions of dollars on building their roster trying to be in a Super Bowl window.

49:02Pat McAfee:That's the only reason why you pay everybody is because you're trying to win a Super Bowl. Now, that's how they feel. Is that a reality going into the season? I don't know. But guys coming out openly in 2025 saying we want to be traded in the middle of the season is pretty crazy. Abnormal, Mr. Wren, I'd say. Yeah. Yeah, I agree. I think obviously this was a team that was all in when it came to how they went through their offseason. They thought that Al Golden, the new defensive coordinator, would get this defense to play better, and some of their young pieces would step up. I think a player like DJ Turner has at the corner position, but the defense still is a very bad unit.

49:38Logan Wilson, I mean, Trey was the obvious one. Once they started to struggle and Joe went down, he's not signing back there. They don't appreciate him enough. I don't think Logan Wilson's been paid recently. I thought there was some noise about Logan last year, wanting a new contract. I don't know if he got it or not. Logan Wilson's a really good linebacker. I would fully expect if they can get good value to move on from him. If I was a team like the Dallas Cowboys, I would be calling about Logan Wilson. It's crazy that within the last year, it's gone from, my gosh, this is a historical offense.

50:13It was unbelievable. If they could just get better, they'll get back in the Super Bowl race. And now it's like a very dire future, it looks like, as of right now in Cincinnati.

50:23Pat McAfee:Yeah, obviously not great whenever people are trying to get their ass out of there and willing to take a public hit, you know, because any time a player comes out and says, I would like to be traded, he is also admitting that it's not working, right? So there's two people that are part of a relationship. So any time anybody comes out negatively about each other, it's like, hey, we're both admitting fault here. At least I am. This is not working. I would like something new. Let's go to Cincinnati Bengal alumni, maybe ruler of the jungle someday, and a man who grew up as a Cincinnati Bengal fan, Edward Simpson, your thought on the amount of players wanting out of Cincinnati, and what does that say to you, brother?

50:56Well, I mean, I think when Logan Wilson, he was, you know, they had some young kids step up and started playing well, so he was getting much reduced role, I guess. The other guys, Mike Piniella, you saw how happy they were to get him back in Kansas City. I played with Mike in Green Bay, actually, or I should say the person who, the guy, AJ, who used to be me. I don't even know. I'm kind of like Inception. Your dude played a dude disguised as another dude. Edward Simpson did not.

51:19Pat McAfee:Edward Simpson can fly around. Edward Simpson played in 1948. That was a long time ago, I think. But you were right after you. No, yeah. I actually, you had my shoulder. We were wearing those leather. I wore your shoulder pads. You wore my leather helmet. Yes, yes. It was like springy inside. Look what we did for sports. We did a lot for sports. But the Bengals are dead? No. I do not think the Bengals are dead. Dano or Mr. Wren, is that right? Kylo. Kylo. Do you believe? Okay. What do the Bengals look like next year, Mr. Wren?

51:52like what's the record obviously let's assume Joe Burrow's back Joe Burrow's back what do they look like can they stop somebody next year defensively yeah I think to be honest with you I think the number one question is is Zach Taylor the coach we got that's a fair question to ask given what's kind of transpired over the last year or two I think Zach Taylor's a really good coach but it's been a while now in Cincinnati Joe hasn't been able to stay healthy so I think it's fair to say the scheme that is deployed now it's allowed for a ton of success has it also been a part of you know joe being a little bit more exposed to some hits they're gonna have to get a significantly better performing offensive line the defense still can't tackle so the defense has got to get much better at some of the basic fundamental stuff so how does that happen so who is cincinnati next year i think that it starts with what's the plan at coach and then And Zach Taylor, they're going to have to, I think, philosophically change at least the way they approach football and how they want to play it.

52:57They can still be ridiculous offensively. They've got to protect them much better, and they've got to play significantly improved football in the back end in totality on defense.

53:07Pat McAfee:Okay. It sounds like you're trying to go back to an older version of you there, didn't it? Now, I know in the last year you became a good guy and said, you know, I won't be nice, but you used to be an absolute killer out there. And now you're saying, what's Zach Taylor looking like next year? That's a good question. Jeez, Kylo. Jeez, they've got a lot of season left. Now, obviously, Joe Burrow seemingly gets hurt because of what you're talking about with the offensive line. Did they try to address that? Yes. Have they really figured it out? No. And then when they spend money everywhere they spend money, everybody that knows football was like, is that a way to win Super Bowl?

53:42Pat McAfee:We shall see with the Bengals. People asking to be out of there. Now, let's talk about a team that did have Super Bowl aspirations this offseason as they were doing a bunch of stuff that nobody had really ever seen before. Coach Cowher has a question for you. Yeah, we'll start with that. And Kylo, when you see Dan just apologized on all of Pittsburgh, he was right. We were wrong. They stink, okay? They should be 0-6. The record is a fraud. Anyways, Colts are visiting them this weekend. Is there any chance the Colts don't score 50 points against Pittsburgh Steelers this weekend? I'm going to be there for the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the 2005 Super Bowl team.

54:18An incredible team, a team that played defense. What do you think? How many of the Colts scored this weekend? Legends. Legends. Yeah, I would be surprised if the Colts don't put up at least 35. I think the Colts have one of the most difficult offenses to match up with in the NFL. Here's where I am with Pittsburgh, Coach. Like, number one, defensively, you just watch this team play against a run. They're two straight up. And JJ could talk to this better than I can. But from an offensive perspective, if I want to run the ball against Pittsburgh, I don't think that they play with the proper pad level on a consistent basis to stop the run.

54:54They just don't. A little bit is their scheme. I talked to Marcus about this because they're trying to two-gap, meaning they hold on to an offensive lineman. They're trying to peek which way is to run, but they're standing up. Yeah, I know what a two-gap is. So the run game, that's why they're struggling to stop the run in totality. And then the backers see that, and they're trying to get into a gap, and they'll sometimes get into the run gap. The thing that struggles with, or I see what they struggle with coverage-wise is this. For a couple years there, it was like they were so simple on defense coverage-wise.

55:24They didn't do anything other than like cover three, okay? This year, it looks like they've tried to change things, and they're trying to like confuse the quarterback in disguise. Here's the thing, though. When they do that, they're consistently out of position. They're trying to get so creative And so unique with some of their coverages That they're out of position Or this guy's late Or they're not getting to the right kind of zone When you do that AJ knows this He was unbelievable So good Real talent Alright

56:02Pat McAfee:There's a lot of stats going on about the defense What you're saying probably very valid All the Ingers know is they spent a lot of money back there. And for them to be the problem, can't happen. Wouldn't have happened in 2005 when Bill Kauer was shooting people out and spitting on faces if it wasn't going the right way. No, I would have gone on the boys. PZ would have gone on the boys. James Fair, 0-5-1. MVP would have gone on them. This would never have happened. Big haps in the middle. Come on. Come on. They can still turn around. A lot of football left. And for you, Kylo, we appreciate you joining us.

56:31Also, Bart and Dan, it appears.

56:34Pat McAfee:Wow, Dan Rolovsky. Oh, shit. Oh, and Bart. And Bart. It's three-headed man. Oh, three-headed monster. Oh. This guy's three-headed monster. We appreciate you, Dano. All right. 57:38Pat McAfee:football brother that's right football brother is what we talk about usually uh but i'll tell you what the run nfl games has been ass and cheeks like the man behind the glass the philly john who's dressed as the tush pushes biggest fan that is what football has been what's sitting on top of that man's head in the back corner there's an old florida man right next to him they got jackson dart sitting in the front row hot dog with ketchup on top as opposed to mustard is a man who uh loves the Detroit Lions and loves having a good time. Hot dogs synonymous with good times, Evan Fox. Yeah, amen. Everyone likes the hot dog.

58:14Pat McAfee:Anytime you eat a hot dog, you're usually at a ball game. You're usually at a get-together, a family event, you name it. You can't go wrong with a nice wiener. Yeah, that's right. Why'd you slap him? Easy, dude. I guess you can guzzle those glizzy wieners down and have the time of your life out there, hot dog. And a man next to you seems to be no stranger. or if I had to just read the vibes. Jackson Dart, you a hot dog guy? Feels like you're probably a pretty big hot dog guy. Love a glizzy coach. Give me like four, five, maybe even six, seven. Okay, yeah, yeah, I got it. Yeah, it's very cool you're number six, too.

58:52Pat McAfee:I'm sure you haven't, you know, really utilized that, as you should, by the way, Jackson. And I want to let you know, Jackson, I think most of the time somebody like you becomes public, people automatically don't want to like them. The fact that everybody loves you is because you're so damn good at football. you're an absolute beast dude and i appreciate the fact that everybody's kind of giving you a chance i want to let you know that hell yeah thanks coach aren't you perfect for dayball too how much you love that guy oh dave's man you know he he's the best we just got to get back in the dub call him to lose and just kills me well scataboo obviously happy halloween the scataboo shirt that peter schrager had the other day was awesome you know kind of honoring him you know the nfl lost one of its faces in scataboo you lost the best friend jackson you're my boy scat he's going to be back better than ever though coach don't don't worry about it so Jackson call everybody coach is that is that how that works just you coach there is coach on set he's one half of the hammer I didn't know if he was talking to me but all I know is as a coach you cannot replace a cam scataboo okay as a person as a player any of those things We lost a goal.

1:00:00Pat McAfee:Who's that? Cam Scatterbo. No, yeah, but it sounds like you were talking from personal perspective. Oh, I was personally talking about when T.C. Williams lost Gary Bertier. You cannot replace a Gary Bertier on the football field or as a person. Yeah, I think you're right. And I didn't think about that because where Bertier was at the beginning of that thing versus the end, certainly a fascinating situation. Let's go to the toxic table. Very spooky Halloween here. Heavenly Hulkster Your thoughts on Everything happening in current conversation And spookiness with the vapes here Yeah I'll be honest brother I don't love this I feel like I'm at a bowling alley For Corner Mania or something like that This kind of garbage doesn't happen Beyond the pearly gates So if we could It's starting to kind of dissipate A little bit Remember the Titans Great movie I love Tony saying that But, you know, it is interesting, dude.

1:00:57You know, just the amount of kind of elbows I've been able to rub up here in heaven at my version of the Hogan's Hangout. You know, guys like Jackie Robinson, you know, who a long time ago people would have said, Hulk's never going to be doing anything with Jackie Robinson. I went out and played Pepper with him for an hour and a half. You know what Pepper is?

1:01:19Pat McAfee:Yeah, when you're – Yeah, exactly. It's like, you know, you play before like a baseball game, like high school, grade school, underhand the ball to somebody and they try to get a butt down. If they pop it up, you run over there, catch it, and they get it. Hulkster's pretty good at that game? Brother. Hulkster. You lost to Jackie by a lot, though. No. Yes. Hulkster always gets a butt down. So we even got to a point where Hulkster had to basically be like, who wants to bet? I'll play defense. You guys ain't never getting me out, brother. And they knew. We laughed about it. We giggled. One of the other best parts about being up here, bottomless.

1:01:53I'm talking bottomless. You get like these big jugs from St. Peter where you come in, basically whatever kind of beverage you want in there. Really? Yeah, exactly. You got American beer? On tap. Everywhere you go, you fill up your beer. You drink it until it's gone. In the Hulkster's case, I'm just, and when you're done, that thing fills right back up to the top. Perfect amount of head. Icy cold? Icy cold. Perfect amount of head. Like a butterbeer.

1:02:24Pat McAfee:Where's this at? Is this Hogan's Hangout? Hogan's Hangout. I'm talking maybe like 150 feet past the pearly gates. That feels like pretty prime real estate. Well, let's just say, everybody, I wasn't kidding first hour. I told you how big of a Hulkamaniac St. Peter was. You should see my spread over here, dude. I got DMX coming over to my house every night, smoking cigars, playing cards. Yeah.

1:02:55That is one thing. Me and X, well, I call him Earl, but me and X, we took a couple four-wheelers. You call him Terry or no? He does call me Terry. He's one of the few guys up here who I allow to call me Terry, brother. He's become a dear, dear friend. We were basically recreating the Rough Riders at the video. Yeah, exactly. Getting them puppies up on two and just, you know, kind of raising a little H-E double hockey sticks. We don't like saying that up here. And even at that point, Jesus and St. Peter had to come up and be like, Earl, Terry, you guys are scaring everybody, man. You guys still obey the traffic laws up here.

1:03:34So we don't do that as much. But yeah, let's just say the Hulkster's really, really enjoying his time up here so far, brother.

1:03:41Pat McAfee:Well, happy Halloween. And it's not even WrestleMania season yet, dude. It's coming. It's right around corner. I know. They're going to Vegas. I don't know if you... I heard. I love it. Are you getting booked? Never say never. Harry Potter, obviously sitting next to Heavenly Hulkster, has been quite a day. There's a time now in sports where we have the World Series tonight. Hey, we got the World Series on a Friday night, and there's chances this could be over? Could be over tonight. I hope so. Why? They basically say baseball in London is kind of like a big pile of shites, if you will. What? Nobody likes the baseball.

1:04:18We see it as kind of a poor man's sport. No, it's a great sport. That's what they say, but I didn't hear Heavenly Hulk Hoekster mention too much baseball aside from Pepper with Jackie Robinson. Not a full baseball game.

1:04:33Pat McAfee:He was watching, obviously, Lamar Jackson last night returning by hand. We appreciate that. How could you not? But I have found myself, ladies and gentlemen, local sports and weather reporter Edward Simpson. No relation to OJ or Bart, Homer, Lisa, Maggie, and Ilk. Baseball has actually been very watchable. Very watchable. And I don't know. You know, we've covered the entirety of baseball trying to evolve into the modern era. Obviously, we've covered sports longer. We know more than everybody about it. Because we've seen it. We've lived it. We've done it. We know. Yeah. Brother. Sure, brother. But baseball has tried to make more rules.

1:05:10Pat McAfee:They've tried to make more rules to make the game more watchable, we'll say. Pitch clock, obviously, getting things down quicker. Feels like there's a little bit more of an explosion. Now we've heard that umps will potentially give a little bit of a bigger strike zone to people so that entices hitters to swing. Like, hey, we need you to swing a little bit. We need to go ahead and get this game going, which we respect immensely. And then superstars that are global sensations who are talked about as being great in the biggest moments have shown up. Okay? All year, Aaron Judge, all rise. This guy's 6 '7", captain of the Yankees, handsome, incredibly cool.

1:05:46Pat McAfee:Everything about him oozes. Superstar, megastar in New York City as well. New Jersey, New York City area. You get it in that entire thing. And he showed up and delivered. MVP-like year. Cal Raleigh, storyline out of nowhere. This catcher who hits from both sides of the plate. huge ass huge ass i mean this guy's got a big dumper okay that's what this guy has he hits dong shots out there do something that you know really hasn't happened in forever and then this character right here shohei otani is unbelievable pitcher hitter highest paid guy he's gonna pay like 700 million dollars or something deferred over the next 25 years has everybody pissed off about everything and has the entire country of Japan staying up crazy hours to watch what's happening in MLB because this guy is so damn special.

1:06:34Pat McAfee:And then you look on the other side with Toronto, this team, they got a 5 '8 guy, okay, playing catcher. Kirk is his last name. And he looks like he should be hanging out with us up on this stage right now. He looks like he should be hanging out in the think tank with us. And this guy's hitting bombs, big old ding-dongs in the World Series. And then Vladdy, daddy, duh. Yankees lose. Okay, this guy, huge moments, has shown up and delivered. So whenever baseball is on right now, let alone the 18-inning game, let alone everything else that's taken place, baseball has delivered, I think, Edward Simpson.

1:07:09Pat McAfee:Do you not agree in that notion? I agree completely. I mean, it's like the high-paid Dodgers squad with all the superstars. Those guys are playing well. But Toronto, are they the little engine that could? Is that how people look at them? Like, hey, we play small ball? See, that's what I'm saying. They actually pay guys. I guess we, as Americans, don't know as much. I wonder, Heavenly Hulk, who's going to win tonight? I assume the Dodgers, they've got to get a win tonight. Do we know who's pitching? Yeah, so it's going to be Yoshinobu Yamamoto, one of my favorite dudes. He can just absolutely hurl that.

1:07:40Pat McAfee:He's got a lot of history in Japan. Yeah, obviously, Ichiban Hulk. I can't confirm this, but I'm under the impression or people have said that both Shohei Otani and Yoshinobu Yamamoto both had Ichiban Hulkster posters in their room growing up. Wouldn't doubt it. So it's going to be Yamamoto against Kevin Gaussman, who is kind of the ace for the Blue Jays. As of right now, what Yamamoto, he has just sliced through this Blue Jays lineup. Yeah, but Heavenly Hulkster, someone sitting in a similar chair the other night after the 18-inning game said, do Toronto Blue Jays have any chance at winning this thing?

1:08:18Pat McAfee:They have. They certainly have. This Toronto Blue Jays team's for real, aren't they, Heavenly Hulkster? And they can put it away tonight in Toronto? Yeah, they can put it. They can win a World Series in Toronto tonight. Their first one since 1993. This Blue Jays team's just relentless, brother. You know, it doesn't matter how many chips you stack against them. Everybody's thinking after that 18-inning game, you lose in horrific fashion. And then, uh-oh, Shohei's on the bump the next night. What do they do? We don't give a shit. We don't care. Okay, Shohei. we're going to bomb his ass and we're also going to strike him out three times and that's exactly what they did they won a big game and then what do they do they still don't want to do it the big bad man the big bad acquisition Blake Snell who actually post game after getting kind of rocked said you know they didn't really get to me sometimes luck plays into it well Blake when you throw two fastballs right down the fucking middle two out of the first three pitches of the game These guys get paid, too.

1:09:18Vladimir Guerrero just signed like a$450 million contract before the year. Those kind of guys, guess what they can do? They can hit fastballs down the middle. They can ambush you. They can jump you, which is what Yoshinobu Yamamoto is going to have to remember tonight.

1:09:33Pat McAfee:MLB is about to take their pennant, their championship to Canada. I thought this was America's pastime. Yeah, that's one thing that the Hulkster is still having a real tough time getting over. I'll be honest with you I'm having a tough time so what did I do I said you know what I gotta go into the 26 man roster I gotta look at every single one of these guys and figure out where they're from will and behold not a whole lot of Canadians out there a lot of guys from the US a lot of guys from the Dominican Republic we mentioned you know Alejandro Kirk he's obviously from Mexico but yeah you gotta give the you gotta give the slight edge to the Dodgers tonight because Yamamoto's been unbelievable but I tell you what, don't let these Blue Jays get hot.

1:10:17Hey, they're already hot, brother.

1:10:19Pat McAfee:Yeah, it feels like there's really good baseball happening, Edward Simpson, from what Hulkster just said. How do you lean, ES? How do you lean tonight? I got Yamamoto two complete games in these playoffs. Yeah, back-to-back complete games. Jack. Bam, let's make it a three. Let's make it three in a row. Let's do it. That's highly unlikely, but I like where your head's at. You're saying they win tonight. Yeah, I think Dodgers win tonight. I also believe the Dodgers will win tonight's game. You think the Dodgers will win tonight? Yeah, I believe this one's going seven. He thinks that Toronto's winning.

1:10:47No, I think Dodgers. Yamamoto. Yeah, I think Yamamoto gets it done.

1:10:50Pat McAfee:Oh, I misheard you. That's 100 % of me. I thought you were saying that you think that Toronto's going to be able to. I don't know, man. I think we need a game seven. We need this. This has been a good thing. We need game seven. Okay, so we need to put into this universe that we're living in. And apparently it works because you've seen the other side and now you're doing it. Yeah, well, with everything that's going on right now with that kind of stuff, I don't want to say I know what's going to happen. But yeah, let's just say I know what's going to happen tonight. We'll see. If you maybe want to bet, I don't know, Dodgers catcher Will Smith to hit a homer, I don't know.

1:11:24Maybe you do that. How about this? Universe ball? Well, heavenly ball. Okay, sure.

1:11:35Oh, I couldn't get over there quick enough. I was going to guide it in. Damn, you're made it. I'll try. Oh, man. Hulkster doesn't got the same moves he used to. See?

1:11:44Pat McAfee:Hold on. Now, this is the one you've got to get to. Okay. No, no. This is all you. Why didn't you help me, Hulkster? Well, I thought you were going to make it, dude. What do you mean? Unbelievable. World Series heading back to Toronto. Game 6 is shaping up to be the most in demand. Blue Jays game C ticket SeatGeek has ever seen. With the average ticket selling for$1 ,639 up there. Is that like$3 ,500, Looney's? yeah actually I think so and then I think it would be 819 and

1:12:20Pat McAfee:19 toonies I believe if I'm trying to put together the math here from back in the day trying to understand what loonies and toonies kind of remind myself what it is you used to flip these coins that's one book that's two books but if we're depending upon where Canada in America is finance wise how much the dollar is That Tooney was also sometimes like$2.75-y. You know, in America, it was a little bit worth more. And then there were some times where America was doing it, and that Tooney was actually about$1.50-y. But the loonies and Toonies out there, Canada, good times. Right now, go see a game.

1:12:53Pat McAfee:If the series were to make it to Game 7, currently the average resale price for that game is$2 ,341. You can currently get$30 off with code PATMACAFEE at SeatGeek. And that's what that segment was brought to you by. Hell yeah, brother. See SeatGeek picker down here, Heavenly Hawks round. know if you see it uh you see that coach coward down there the secret dicker so they're always the one providing all the information they're always wanting to provide and they're also ones that can provide you with a lifetime of memories with a ticket to a game it's not just a game ticket it's a memory forever it's a story it's a reunion it's a gathering it's a time to celebrate or get pissed off if your team is asked it's an experience it's a journey it's sea geek ain't that right edward yep what's the code again pat mcafee p-a-t-m-c-a-f-e-e it is our 70th code with our friends at SeatGeek.

1:13:38Pat McAfee:We've been with them for a very long time. We are very thankful for SeatGeek. We appreciate SeatGeek. But every once in a while, code will hit or potentially get into some couponer's world and then all of a sudden they go, we gotta change it. We gotta change it. We gotta change it. We've already done that. We've already done that. So now it's just Pat McAfee. Straight across. And people always spell my name right, so this one should be easy to kind of put in. People always do that. Don't they, Hulkster? Yeah, all the time. It's like, same deal. You ask someone to spell Ichiban Hogan and guess what?

1:14:07They're not spelling that right too often.

1:14:09Pat McAfee:Yeah, I understand. All right, let's talk about some storylines happening around the NFL. Patrick Mahomes is talking about their game with the Buffalo Bills. Let's go ahead and run the video. Let's run the tape. Patrick Mahomes chit-chatting about how big it is. I mean, they don't like us. I mean, that's pretty – they do not like the Chiefs. But, I mean, it is a cool environment. I love playing in, like, historic stadiums, and that stadium has had so many great players play in it. and who knows, it might be the last time that we get the opportunity to play there. And it'll be a great challenge for us, and they're loud, and that's what you want.

1:14:42You want to go in and be in a hostile environment. That's what football, when you watch on TV as a kid growing up, is the environment you want to play in. And so obviously they're not rooting for us, but you get to bond together as a team and get to go into a historic stadium and play in a great environment.

1:14:57Pat McAfee:Love everything about that. That's not wizardry, Harry. That's real. Feels like they understand this is an actual rivalry of the modern era. Yeah, not me, not Josh Allen. Patrick Mahomes is the leader of the league, if you will. However, this does feel as though the Chiefs, the Kansas City, the Swifties, the Kelsies, they tend to lose the games that don't matter as much like in the regular season. They've already lost a few, haven't they? Specifically against the Beals. Josh Allen now more than a football player which I love it seems as though Mahomes and the Chiefs may let the Bills have this must win and I always look forward to what Sean McDermott says in his pre-game speeches it always seems to rub people the right way and he seems to be a Slytherin more than a Gryffindor if you will yeah so I don't know if it's pre-game speeches or team meeting speeches that you're referring to but Sean McDermott obviously has that Buffalo Bills team back in contention always going to, we all assume, with Josh Allen.

1:16:00Pat McAfee:What are your thoughts on it, Edward Simpson, these two? And also, what are your thoughts on Patrick Mahomes openly saying, like, yeah, Chiefs, Bills, this is a real thing. We understand it's a real thing. We appreciate that it's a real thing. They've changed rules because of our games. They're looking at the future of the NFL and what blueprints of players should look like from our games. What are your thoughts on him acknowledging that as a whole and the game, AJ? I love how Patrick Mahomes is handling it, letting them know, like, this is a real rivalry game. They don't like us, and I'm sure the Chiefs don't like them.

1:16:25But that's what it is. That's what these games are all about. But as the Harry Potter gentleman, I forget, Dumbledore said earlier, whatever his name is, whichever one you are, I'm not sure. There you go, Mr. Harry. Sometimes it does happen, right, where the Chiefs lose these games and then they win it when it matters the most in the playoffs.

1:16:42Pat McAfee:Did you see in the NHL, we had a magical story the other night? Marshy. Oh, yeah, yeah. Goes back to Nova Scotia to coach for his friend, JP, who he grew up playing hockey alongside. side he went back and coached his junior team because the coach jp had to mourn the passing of his 10 year old daughter from cancer so marshy took a leave of absence from the panthers to go up there to do that for his friend obviously feel good magical moment but also this dude is exactly who we all hope he is this guy is awesome this guy is incredible he showcases it shout out to hockey being like this but also shout out to sports for once again in very hard times kind and bringing people together, Conman.

1:17:23Pat McAfee:What else did I miss in this story that is obviously incredibly feel-good and awesome? Yeah, I'm definitely going to drop the English accent because I really do want to talk about this and be able to. Martian, I believe, owns or at least donated to this team. The team itself is called the Martian & Mill Company Hunters. It's the U18 team. I mean, this made me emotional. This is kind of the thing that sports brings out in people. I think it's kind of the best of everything, not just Martian. Even the Florida Panthers understanding, hey, this is much more important to go and do. Him being on the bench, just putting yourself in the position of Brad Marchand's best friend.

1:18:01Hey, this guy just won a Stanley Cup. They're trying to get another one, but he's deciding to be here. Putting yourself in the position of those kids. Man, we kind of thought that maybe we weren't going to play hockey for a little bit, even though U18, that's very important hockey, especially for those kids in Canada. And, you know, Brad Marchand now is the guy that we're coming off the ice to see. It's just – it's amazing. And it's just what makes Brad Marchand such a special person.

1:18:26Pat McAfee:Taking that moment from what could be obviously incredibly devastating for all parties there. Teams get very tight. Hockey teams, obviously, we're not talking about anything anybody doesn't already understand. But now it's like a story in a moment forever. Marchand came and coached the boys. Like the boys now, they had to go through something very devastating with their coach. He's potentially away in the middle of the season. Obviously, that can rally and gather and round everybody up and get them closer and tighter. But now also add in a part of the story, one of the greatest hockey players of all time from the area coming back and lending a helping hand to a brother.

1:18:55Pat McAfee:I mean, it's a beautiful thing, Ed. It really is a beautiful thing, AJ. Yeah, and I think hockey kind of has that brotherhood that some sports might not be as tight. And think about it. It's professional sports, professional athletes. Game week, they're in season. Yeah. To leave in season, people don't realize how big of a deal that truly is. So, yeah, Bill Zito and the boys over there understanding and for Marcian to do this, yeah, I think it's something those kids will remember forever as well as his best friend will remember until he dies. It's also a good act for people to see, like, hey, this is how friends – There's things that are more important in sports too at times for some people.

1:19:31Yeah, even just thinking about the guys on the Panthers. I'm sure there's younger guys who are just thinking, just as far as perspective goes, like they're probably just trying to earn their way through the NHL and then having a guy like Brad Marchand, who's a leader of your team, you just mentioned with the Panthers, kind of show you like, yes, of course this stuff is important. This is our profession. But, like, there are things that are much bigger. And, like, being able to go and do something like that, like shout out Bill Zito and all, like, Paul Maurice, their coach, like everyone just being – tell them, Brad, basically, yeah, get out of here.

1:20:02Sports are the greatest. The greatest. Sports are the greatest.

1:20:04Pat McAfee:Speaking of the greatest, ladies and gentlemen, joining us now is the greatest of all time whenever it comes to coaching college football. Friend of the program, host of College Game Day, ladies and gentlemen, future Hall of Famer in every Hall of Fame that exists, including business and birthday boy, Coach Nick Xavier. Yeah, boys! Thank you. Thank you. What's going on, bro? You guys look marvelous. Thank you, Coach. We didn't know if you were going to potentially dress up, but if I could dress up like the greatest of all time every day, I would. So I appreciate you looking into me and saying this is exactly what we need.

1:20:39Pat McAfee:Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to you, bro. Happy birthday, dear Coach Nick Saban. Happy birthday to you, dude. Happy birthday, Coach. I appreciate it. You guys look great, but you sing like shit. Wow, coach, that says ears. You got those old-ass ears. That's your old-ass ears. You don't hear the cleansiness of our voices. We appreciate you. Hey, going to be easier to shoot your age, huh? Going to be easier to shoot your age now. That's one good factor. A lot of good factors for us. I want to let you know we're thankful that you have the best year that you've ever had in the history of your life coming up this upcoming year.

1:21:29Pat McAfee:And we're going to be a chance to be a part of it and watch it. You're a good dude, man. Great dude. And the way you treat everybody and the way that you kind of speak about everything is how everybody wishes that the people around them would speak. You're a legend. That's why everybody says you should be the president of the United States. Happy birthday from one old ass man to another. You know what I mean? I appreciate it, man. Thank you so much. It means a lot. And, you know, you got to have a lot of gratitude for the things that you have, but nothing's more important than relationships. And I do appreciate the relationships that we've developed, you and I, as well as I enjoy so much being on this show with these guys.

1:22:05Pat McAfee:Yeah, we're lucky to have you. Let's talk about where you're at right now. You're over in Utah. I'll be catching up with you tonight. I can't wait to go trick-or-treating with my daughter. I can't wait. Well, I think that's wonderful that you're able to do that. Amen. First time, she really kind of knows what's happening, and it's good that you can spend it with her. Yeah, I am so pumped. So I'll come catch up with you. On that note, excited to be out there. Were you there the last time that game day was there? Their fans and their alumni showed up in a huge way out there, and they have the mighty Utah student section.

1:22:35Pat McAfee:They're favored by 10 1⁄2. What are your thoughts early here on being out in Utah and what this team presents for the Cincinnati team? Well, I was not here the last time we had it here. But I will say this is a beautiful part of the country. But I think this is, you know, I've liked Utah's team all year. You know, they play good defense. They're physical. They're tough. They kind of play old-fashioned football. This backup quarterback did a marvelous job for him, you know, last week against Colorado. but I tell you what Cincinnati is sneaky good with the quarterback that they have now I know the running back is hurt for this game prior but they've had great balance and I like the Cincinnati team if they can play good enough defense I think these guys may be for real 10 and a half is the spread Cincinnati's been hot they lose week one to Nebraska in a neutral site game.

1:23:30Pat McAfee:Everybody rules them out now. Game day, Big 12 still very much in their sights. Let's talk about another game happening this weekend. Edward Simpson, no relation to OJ or Bart, has a question for you, Coach. Yeah, Coach. Oklahoma's playing Tennessee Saturday night, 7.30 p.m. Eastern. I guess, how do you see this game going? A lot of hype, obviously. Neither team can afford to lose right now with two losses, each of them, but how do you think this game is? I really like Tennessee in this game. I mean, they've got one of the leading offensive teams in the country when it comes to scoring points.

1:24:04They're difficult to defend. They've got a good offensive line. They can run the ball. And, you know, Oklahoma's got a great defense, one of the best in the country. But I think when you spread them out like this, it's going to be more difficult for them, especially playing on the road. And, you know, to me, the issue for Oklahoma is are they going to be able to score enough points in this game? because they've been struggling on offense a little bit since, you know, John Matera came back from, you know, breaking his hand, which is, you know, I mean, it's understandable. You know, the guy's playing hurt and he's playing quarterback.

1:24:36It's harder to spin it. But if he plays well, they'll have a chance. But I just think Tennessee is going to be hard to beat relative to the points that they score. But Tennessee's struggling on defense, too, so they're going to have to outscore them.

1:24:49Pat McAfee:Yeah, Tennessee, you know, we've seen the greatness of them. And then obviously they're not perfect. So in college that can get exposed literally any weekend. And then Oklahoma, I've been waiting on. I've been waiting on to be back because I had so much hope for them at the beginning. The hand, you're right. I mean, that's very understandable that it's potentially slowed them down a little bit, but it definitely has. Let's talk about another team that's on a run right now, undefeated. Go ahead, Con, man. Yeah, Coach, I'll go back to my English accent after this, but you're old as shit and I don't want you to misunderstand me.

1:25:17Texas A &M. Jeez, you didn't say. Happy birthday. Happy birthday, Coach. Happy birthday, Coach. Oh, man, I was going to drop a D's nuts on you, but I won't. Texas A &M and Mike Elko seem to have turned that thing around completely. Basically now, I mean, it's hard to argue that they're not the best team in the country. What do you think about the job they've done? And how about this quarterback? You know, he really wasn't up there for Heisman odds, and now it feels like he damn near might run away with it. Well, he's playing great. And I would say the two teams at this point in the season that's kind of separated themselves from the pack, to me, is Ohio State and Texas A &M.

1:25:57And, you know, Marcel Reed has been a big part of that. But, you know, I think this guy has got special talents, man. He's improved as a passer. He's got better receivers. He's got better skill guys to play with them outside. They can run the ball a little bit. And this guy can beat you with his feet. So this guy is an unbelievable talented athlete. I mean, when you talk about this guy playing basketball and what a good basketball player he was, I mean, and, you know, they've got the skill guys now. Here you go. Plump returned for a touchdown against LSU. So I think this is a really, really good team.

1:26:34Pat McAfee:Can you tell me, did you recruit Marcel? Did you know, is that why you, did you see him play basketball? Or did you just, you've heard through the coaching ladder about the incredibly athletic Marcel Reed, who now has seemingly figured it out in all facets. Yeah, well, I did not see him play basketball in high school. I saw some clips on him playing basketball, and I'm saying, wow, this guy's a player. But this guy reminds me of somebody that plays for the Baltimore Ravens that has turned the National Football League upside down for several years now. And I think this guy's got the same kind of qualities.

1:27:10Pat McAfee:Yeah, you saw the stop right before the touchdown. Literally takes us back to Lamar from high school, that exact play. Now, granted, his was on the sideline. and his was in the middle of the field. Marcel's special. He's in, hey, Heisman conversation is very real. You talked about Texas A &M and Ohio State separating themselves. I think everybody in Indiana would say, well, hey, who, who, who, who's there? That's what everybody in Indiana would say. I should have known better. Obviously could bring a little bit of heat. You talked about Marcel Reed and that Texas A &M team. They get a huge win over LSU.

1:27:43Pat McAfee:So big, actually, it draws some change. Governor Jeff Landry is even talking about it now at this point. It's become national talking point about what's going on down there at LSU. Go ahead, Coach Cower. Yeah, Coach, from one coach to another, everything that's going on down at LSU, they do not have an AD right now. They do not have a president right now. And Governor Jeff Landry is talking about the coach is going to have to have a prove-it contract. Is LSU doing themselves any favor in this coaching carousel, or are they scaring coaches away potentially? Well, you know, I think, you know, one of the things that is really important now in college football, and let me make a comparison for you.

1:28:21You know, in the NFL, everything's vertically integrated in one building. In other words, the rules are clearly defined by the league as to what you can and can't do, whether it's salary cap contracts, whatever it is. And you either succeed or fail based on what happens in the building from, you know, the owner to the GM, to the coaches, to the personnel folks, to the players. College is just kind of the opposite. Everything's happening externally, not internally like it is in the NFL. So you got all these external factors that are constantly changing, whether it's transfer portal, how much you can pay guys, revenue sharing.

1:28:57You know, what kind of collective do you have? So traditionally, how have you been able to adapt to that? And my point about tradition is some of the traditional jobs like LSU that people always looked at as one of the best jobs, have they adapted to all these things like they need to to be able to continue to be one of the best jobs in the country? And I think that's why you see Vandy, Indiana, places who have not historically been traditionally great jobs actually having a lot of success now because they have managed the external factors very well to bring it in-house so that they can function effectively.

1:29:39So what's to say LSU, Florida, they're traditionally the best jobs, but are they the best jobs now, relatively speaking, based on how they've adapted to the external circumstances that really affect your ability to be successful in college football?

1:29:58Pat McAfee:Okay, so on that note, people quote you whenever they say why LSU is such a good job. They say, I believe the greatest college football coach of all time is quoted on the record as saying, five stars fall out of trees in Louisiana. Like that is literally what happens down there. So if you're able to just recruit the state, you'll be able to win. What you're saying is recruiting any state right now requires some things that a lot of other schools potentially have more of. Is that kind of what you are referring to right now? Yeah, I think, you know, I can't give you any statistical facts on this, but is regional recruiting as effective as it once was?

1:30:36You know, I've also made the statement that kids in Louisiana grew up wanting to go to LSU. Kids in Alabama grew up wanting to go to Alabama. Well, some of those kids are going to Ohio State because they're getting paid more. and it becomes a little bit more about money than it does about regional alliance in terms. And you can't blame the kids for it. I'm not don't want you to think that. No, but so at the same time, I'm saying if you don't have those resources, you know, it used to be about program facilities. How can you develop players? How can you create value for their future? Well, how can you create value for them right now is what's changed in college football.

1:31:18and how have you adapted to that?

1:31:20Pat McAfee:Yeah, and if you don't do it every day, we got options. Lane Kiffin came on and chit-chatted about pre-portaling, basically, where you have one good game. There's like three schools that are calling at night. Somebody obviously not directly associated, but hey, if you were maybe going to portal, we got about 120 ,000 M &Ms in there. You know, if you need that, and that's happening at all times. So it feels like the business aspect of decision-making is starting much earlier as opposed to the regional, territorial, I would like to be in this area conversation. I think, I don't know how you're going to stat that.

1:31:52Pat McAfee:I assume there'll be a good stat at some point that kind of depicts that. I mean, I go back to Quinn Ewers even. That was at the beginning of this NIL era. He's like Texas Longhorn through and through. Texas kid wanted to be Texas. I think he was committed to Texas, but couldn't get paid. So he went to Ohio State to get paid. Went to Ohio State because he couldn't get paid there. Then he came back to Texas, even though he wanted to be a Texas Longhorn all along. Had to go somewhere else to kind of get the money. I do wonder what that means for LSU because they're ranking the job like LSU is. But to your point, I think that's a great strategy.

1:32:24If you're in a place that historically has a lot of good players coming out of high school, if that guy went to another school, I would track that guy's career like from day one because eventually get him back, bring him back. If you lose him the first time, get him the second time. And you might be better off because he might have developed a little better. He might be more ready to play, more mature. So I would definitely do that, and I think that's definitely something LSU should be doing, just like Texas has done.

1:32:54Pat McAfee:Boy, I haven't even thought about. Can't be burning bridges during this recruiting process because guess who's going to be available maybe in two weeks. Who's that? That guy. That player might not be happy where he's at. Is it sustainable? You know, that's kind of the question. Is it all sustainable? We shall see. There's a video of Kalen DeBoer after the game where one of their players, I think he was number 12, I forget if it was offense or defense, but a South Carolina coach went up to him and was kind of talking to him, and Kalen DeBoer kind of yanked him away like, hey, come on, we just won the game, let's get out of here.

1:33:27Pat McAfee:Interesting time in college football. A.J. Ellison, known as Edward Simpson, has a question for you, Coach. Yeah, Coach, I don't know if you got a chance to see the game last night. Ravens played the Dolphins. We got to see your old QB, Tua. So obviously the Dolphins are battling. They're trying to figure things out. I guess when you look at them, what can they do? What can you do at this point in the season? You're in the NFL and you're struggling. You have two wins right now. How do you handle that day in and day out? Fire GM this morning. Yeah, and they fire the GM. What do you do if you're the head coach when you walk into that team meeting every day?

1:33:58It's hard. I went through that in Cleveland. In 93, we were 5-2. We cut some players at a bye week after being five and two, and we went two and seven the rest of the way. And it was a little bit of a mutiny in the building. But the one thing that pro players can do and can think of to keep things going is they need to play well to extend their career and to see how much money they can make. So winning and losing doesn't necessarily determine that. So if they keep performing well, they're still creating value for themselves. And I think that's important for pro players to take advantage of, even if you're not on a winning team.

1:34:42But I think the Dolphins, you know, I have a house in Florida, so a lot of people ask me, what's wrong with the Dolphins? And I can't really answer that question completely. Obviously, they've had some injuries that could affect that, but they haven't played great on defense, and they haven't scored a lot of points. So they have lots of issues. And I didn't know they fired Chris Greer this morning. Yeah. Well, he's one of my favorites. You know, he was a scout there when I was the head coach many, many years ago. And I think Chris Greer does a really, really good job. But I guess, you know, when you look at the product on the field, personnel has to do something about it and be responsible for it to some degree.

1:35:26And the coaches have to be responsible for how do they develop it? And everybody's got to make those decisions internally, I guess.

1:35:35Pat McAfee:Gumpy just heard what you said, and in the moment, pretty emotional threw up. He was happy to move along just because Dolphins fans feel like they've been in purgatory throughout this entirety. But it wasn't that long ago that this roster, this money, was like the hottest thing in the NFL. And now it's the complete opposite of that. And Lamar Jackson comes back to town and does his thing against him. to an interesting situation because you talk about having good tape. You know, like, hey, put good tape out there. It doesn't matter if we're going to the playoffs. Like, some teams have a 2 % chance to make the playoffs.

1:36:06Pat McAfee:They kind of understand what the situation is. But OGs tell them, like, hey, this is either where you keep your job or maybe make some more money. People are watching this shit. This isn't just, like, fans being upset about us not having a hope. This is all, like, a tryout. You know, they talk about preseason. This is real shit here. So if you can do good tape. That's why whenever they say, like, people are tanking for somebody, it's like, players aren't. Players aren't putting shitty tape out there. Like, that ain't – Now, are there schemes being called? Are there people not being dressed, maybe?

1:36:34Pat McAfee:Are those things happening? Potentially. Maybe that is happening with teams. I'm not going to rule it out because I am an open-minded individual. But, like, when we were in the suck for luck campaign, everybody was saying it was like, I wasn't trying to shank balls. You're right. I would have got fired. The offensive line's not trying to give up sacks to whoever is playing quarterback that year because they want to keep a job. So, interesting dynamic that the Miami Dolphins are now staring down. Good for you, Gumpy. Good luck, dude. James is good. It's been too long. Hey, Chris Greer, good guy.

1:37:03He was a good guy. He just wasn't good at his job at the end. At the end. At the end. He was good at the start. He made some good moves at the start. This last offseason was trouble.

1:37:13Pat McAfee:Yeah, exactly. Well, that's like Coach McCarthy. Coach McCarthy goes, well, these players got to execute as well, which is always like the coach's angle, you know? It's true, though. That is part of it. I agree. It's definitely part of it. Like, if you feel like you have the right players, they should be able to execute this game. If they can't, that's probably, I don't know, you're giving too much to them. That's why there's always this whenever draft hype happens because the personnel department says, this guy's got a lot of potential. And then it's the coach's job to build him up. Well, if he never makes it, who cares if he was maybe just a bust?

1:37:41Pat McAfee:This coach should have been better because the GM saw something in him and this coach obviously didn't make it happen. But maybe the players just ask. And that's what the coaches say after they're getting fired. They're saying, well, that's kind of the circle, isn't it, coach? Personnel people have these visions. coaches are supposed to make it happen if you don't make it happen definitely on you and if the whole team is asked and they think everything's bad well you put the entire team together you got to get out of here i feel like that's kind of the natural thoughts about those positions i think you're 100 correct in terms of you know you heard me say this before is there's seven or eight teams in the nfl that have vertical integration from top to bottom in other words the personnel people are out there getting the kind of players that fit the system in the scheme that the coaches want to play.

1:38:24The coaches are able to develop those players because they're both, you know, in sync with each other in terms of what they're looking for, type of people, as well as, you know, physical characteristics, whether it's size, speed, critical factors to play a position. So they're getting people that fit what the coaches want and the coaches take that fit and make it work. So you have the same teams that seem to be successful kind of on a consistent basis. And then you have the same teams that seem to struggle because they don't have that alignment. Because if you have vertical integration, you don't have what you just talked about, which most of the teams have an issue with.

1:39:05Personnel, coaching, developing. So, look, I went through two years in Miami as a head coach. The first year, we had vertical integration with the personnel, with, you know, right down to the coaches. The second year we didn't and we had a terrible draft and the team went in the opposite direction. So that's very, it's critical to being successful. I think everybody's got to be a team. Everybody's got to be together. We can't be pointing fingers at why we picked this guy and he's not playing well. Everybody's got to be responsible and accountable for it. And you got to pick the right guy to start with.

1:39:43It's no different than what I say about paying players in college. You play the wrong guys, you're shit out of luck. Draft the wrong guys, you're shit out of luck.

1:39:49Pat McAfee:That's life in general, I believe, and I appreciate every time you start speaking about any of this stuff, because you're talking about vertical integration a lot. It's basically saying, like, hey, everybody has to be seeing the same picture, because if you're drafting a 3-4 player, we've got a 4-3 defense, like, what are you, are we even, what are we even, well, he's gonna have to play, he's gonna have to drop back. That's not, why would you do that? That happens. And he talked about there's seven or eight teams that are kind of all aligned. There is actual situations where it's like, well, they'll make them fit in there.

1:40:20Pat McAfee:And it's like, how is this the highest level? How is this? You hired the wrong coach, you're out of luck too, right? I mean, think about it. If you bring the wrong guy in, sometimes it doesn't fit. Okay, let's pivot back to college football and talk about a team, you know, that's had an interesting season. Go ahead, Heavenly Hulkster. Yeah, Coach, this weekend we got Vandy in Texas, dude. and as of right now, Arch Manning is a game-time decision and in the NFL at least, I think he believes concussion. That's been a two-week injury. Now, I haven't perused the injury report. I don't know if he's playing or not, but when you look at this game, how do you see this one going and how big of a difference will it be for Texas if Arch Manning doesn't play?

1:41:00Obviously, they still got some five-star guy behind him, so it's not like the end of the world, but how do you see this one shaking out, brother? Nothing. You know, Vanderbilt, you've got to give them a lot of credit for how they played last week because, you know, Diego did not have a great game. They were still able to score enough points. They were able to play good enough defense. And, you know, it just seems like Texas has struggled a little bit to get any kind of rhythm going on offense for whatever reasons. And I don't know what. That's the question I'd love to ask Sark, you know, tomorrow when he's on the show is, you know, what needs to be fixed?

1:41:37Is it the offensive line? Is it inability to run the ball, inability to protect the passer? What are the issues here? But I tell you what, Clark Lee's done a really good job with that defense. And whatever the issue is with, you know, Texas' offense, they're going to try to expose them in the game by, you know, how they come after them. So it'll be interesting. I don't know enough about Texas' backup quarterback to really make a comment on how good the guy can play or will play. But I think it's going to be a game. And, you know, like Pat, you know, kind of put me on the spot last week, you know, in Nashville.

1:42:14So I had to jump on the Vanderbilt bandwagon. And I really can't jump off yet.

1:42:19Pat McAfee:Okay, I like that. I like that you jumped on completely. They give you a fucking crown when you do that. And you set it all up. No. And I appreciate it. No, just they were booing you. And it was like, we got to address this here, brother. Like, we got to – we have to address. This can't be the entire time. And the fact that in a 45-second period, it went from, they were going to boo every time you spoke. You know, that was the decision that they made. And I didn't know that until they started doing it. And then I was like, yes, I love that they have done that. I enjoy that type of shit. I like when a group of people come together and say, are we doing this?

1:42:53Pat McAfee:Yeah, we're doing this. Perfect. Let's drop it on them. But now we got to address that. And then you being able to say, hey, listen, I was wrong. Because what's now is special. And I agree with that. Don't you think after going game day there, It's special what they've been able to do. You mentioned it earlier about, like, Indiana and then Vanderbilt being able to be very good versus maybe some of these other perennial powerhouses that aren't as aligned or set up going forward. Vandy, their name's Vanderbilt, that family. They got a lot of money there. I think it's possible to kind of go down there in Vanderbilt.

1:43:23Pat McAfee:Don't you think as well, Coach? Like, for – obviously, Diego is the one that put the key into the ignition and ignited this entire thing. But I think it's sustainable if they're able to keep Clark and everything their cooking coach. I do, too. And, you know, they I'm not going to say it on the air, but they have a significant amount of money in their collective, which I think they were able to get because Diego brought some success to the program. People could see the value and exposure that that gave the university and the program. And it's very beneficial. So they've made a commitment and it's it's it's showing.

1:44:01and it's paying off. So kind of really interesting, but really good for college football, I think.

1:44:08Pat McAfee:Yeah, you can zoom out. It seems like Vanderbilt, Virginia, and Cincinnati, and people who have not historically been people that we talk about, we're now talking about them. And I think that's a good thing. Indiana didn't even have a football. They had a football team, but you know it. They didn't even have a weight room. Indiana was in the Big Ten. Football state. This is a football state. love football out here didn't even really have a football program and then now with investment and the right people and the transfer portal they got an impact stadium renovations and hope for the next 10 years for football i think it's great for the sport i think it's amazing but we're going to find out the haves and the have-nots i mean that's certainly going to come you're going to have to get a group of dogs to kind of transform a place if you want to build it but you can in this era it's been proven happy birthday coach we love you so much i'll see you out in Utah.

1:44:58Appreciate it, man. Thank you so much. I appreciate you guys. It's always a great experience to spend a little time with you on Friday.

1:45:06Pat McAfee:What's the age now? 74. Just to put it out there. I used to get three a side. It's not based on handicap. It's based on age. Now that I'm 74, I'm going to start getting four a side. It just makes sense to me. Yes, it does. And you're Nick Saban, so they don't like it. They can get the fuck off the court. Ladies and gentlemen, the GOAT. Coach Nick Saban, happy birthday. Happy birthday, dude. Happy birthday, dude. All right, before we get out of here, we'd like to showcase all of the costumes of the Thunderdome. Obviously, you have AJ here. He is Edward Simpson. I think you've done a great job this time.

1:45:44Pat McAfee:Thank you. What was your inspiration? You said it was a group of people. A bunch of people, yeah. Just nationwide. People that I see on TV every single day. I love everything about the Toxic Table, obviously. Harry Potter, wonderful stuff. I didn't know much about Harry before today. There's a lot more to know, if you will. But again, I tried to mention it with my question to Dan-O about Bart Simpson. It's very nice. You should dive into Harry Potter. What's above the left eye there? It looks like something's on your head. Not the Mansons, actually. It's my scar. It's when I almost got murdered.

1:46:18My mother saved me and she got murdered.

1:46:21Pat McAfee:You do look like Harry Potter with those glasses. And then obviously, Right next to you, Harry, we have, for the first time ever, Heavenly Hulkster. Good to see you down here from Heaven, Hulkster. Thank you, dude. Thank you for extending the invite. It's great to be back to you guys as always. I love yucking it up with you fellas. And then with those things on, you can maybe come back whenever, right? Because St. Peter kind of said you're the one. Yeah, whenever I want. I don't know if that applies to everybody up in Heaven, dude. But again, me and St. Peter are about as, you know, I thought Jimmy Hart was my guy forever, and he is.

1:46:53Okay, dude? Well, I tell you, I really like... St. Peter's good on a stick? Yeah, brother. He's fucking holding court at the pearly gates when people come in. Cutting promos? Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah.

1:47:08Pat McAfee:Like Jimmy, the mouth of the south? Like the mouth of the south. He's the mouth of... He's the mouth of heaven. He's the mouth of the pearly gates. You know, and guess what? If St. Peter doesn't like you, he's going to let you know right away. Purgatory, bitch! See you soon Or not And he does that That really kind of gets him going But again He's a holster He said You know what holster Let me go find the Now I'm remembering it I've been having so much fun up here He goes Sometimes things slip through the cracks He said Hey holster How about some 23 inch wide wigs For those 23 inch pythons You got there Again Regular heavenly nomenclature You're looking at about a 16 to 18-inch wing.

1:47:56And, yeah, the Hulkster's got 23s to match his biceps. So the Hulkster's doing just fine, brother.

1:48:02Pat McAfee:I'm happy St. Peter's taking care of you up there, Hulkster. I love that dude, man. How's the back? I know we asked you whenever you were here last time if you had any regrets at all throughout the entirety of your life. And with those 23-inch pythons you're talking about, your answer was, why was I doing a leg drop? You know, because the hips and the back took such a beating. How are the heavenly hips and the heavenly back up there? I feel better than I have really since I was running hot with Nash and shit. Scott Hall. Scott Hall, thank you. Coincidentally, I play cards with every Friday night.

1:48:35But yeah, I haven't felt that good since I was running hot with those guys back in L.A. St. Peter did mention that. He said, listen, Hulkster, I hate to do this. I don't want to do this. did we ever think about maybe a sleeper hold instead of the leg drop and I just said St. Peter you son of a bitch come here dude and we Greco-Rovand a little bit and that was the end of it but yeah the Hulkster I'm doing just fine

1:49:02Pat McAfee:and we're doing just fine I hope to see you again and then behind the glass obviously you got Hot Dog, Jackson, Dart, Tush Push, John and Old Florida Man thanks for showing up today boys Hell yeah, brothers. You think the Tush Push fan is going to become kind of a thing? Maybe ass cheeks on the head to save the play? Because it feels like everybody's against you guys. That play's not going anywhere. Nobody can stop it, not even the league. Refs don't stop it ever. No. And then they try to stop it post-play. It's kind of a part of the problem with those ass cheeks on your head. I just want to let you know that kind of a problem.

1:49:34Go, Burt.

1:49:35Pat McAfee:What if we always talk about Big Dom? Mm-hmm. You think they're going to pass a rule that he doesn't say is okay? Nope. Yeah, right. Big Dom's like, let me grab your pen there. I got your vote for you. They can kiss my ears. All right, John, I appreciate that. Now, in the think tank, the boys that have been hanging, obviously we have an incredible crew, and their costumes delivered. Dirty graphic designer. Had his birthday just a few days ago. Dressed up as, ladies and gentlemen, Frozone, baby. Oh, that was good. Hey, this was genius, sir, okay? Sir, sir, Frozone, it is an honor to meet you, sir.

1:50:11Pat McAfee:We're big fans how fast you are. That's a great costume. How you doing, dude? Good fun, Z. How about that, Frozone? And he said it was good to see you, too. You guys are boys, right? I just feel a little bit of animosity there. I don't know why, but yeah. Frozone's ready to race anybody. Ain't that right? All about the races. All the races. All times, any race, any time. That's what we're talking about, Frozone. We appreciate you. You look good, brother. Good to see you, Frozone. Thank you, Frozone. Frozone. Frozone, very good athlete, very fast. Did I see Frozone get caught? I think I saw, right?

1:50:46Pat McAfee:Yeah. Did not expect that. That had to be a work. Had to be a work. Frozone was just beating everybody, would beat everybody. We know that. Also, in the back room, a man who edits videos from being big to being TikTok size. His name's Talk because he doesn't talk much, and he makes TikToks, but damn is he talented. He's an Emmy Award winner. Talko. Yeah, we talk. Taco. Oh. That a boy talk. Taco Friday. That a boy talk. Okay. Too cool for school, huh, dude? He said you mailed it in. What? Walk your ass up here, didn't you? What would he be? No, you don't have to do that. You don't have to do that.

1:51:25Pat McAfee:He said you mailed it in on the costume, though. He said glasses and a hat, not enough. That's what Hulkster said. I did say that. They're booing you. Florida man's booing you in the back. I don't like it, though, taco. Disgusting. Hey, taco, taco, taco. Taco. You're my taco. Muchos gracias, mi amigo. Good-looking taco there. Even a little avocado on top. Edward Simpson, your thoughts on taco? Thank you. That's you, Ed. That is me. Put your shoulders back a little bit. He did it first. You've got to own that costume, Tot. Put your shoulders back. Walk with some pride. Yeah, be a meaty taco. Yeah, be a big, big, yeah.

1:51:57There it is. Can you get him flexed? I don't know if we have him on camera.

1:52:00Pat McAfee:Ladies and gentlemen, joining us now from the depths of YouTube, Bailey McComas as a totally legit and not rigged poker dealer. Thank you, Bailey. Thank you for doing that, Bill. We appreciate you doing that. Good poker shirt, obviously. Good visor. And we see the briefcase. What does that mean? Yeah, it's just totally legit poker, Mike. Okay, so it's chips. Yeah, of course, of course. And don't forget the poker slash sports betting gala is going to be around 9 o 'clock. Famous celebrities. Won't say who for liability, but you know. Okay. All right. Totally legit, he says. Joining us now, ladies and gentlemen, from the audio department.

1:52:39Pat McAfee:He's a guy who is always lit, dude, and he's excited for the halftime performance. It's Mitt McMahon as Bad Bunny. Bad Bunny. Bad Bunny. Oh, Bad Bunny. See, I like it. I like it. Bad Bunny. I can't wait to hear him speak Spanish. Yeah. Hey, you look good, buddy. Good luck in your Super Bowl halftime show. A lot of people not happy. Maybe speak some English there, Sam. And ladies and gentlemen, last but not least, he's a D3 national champion. He was so excited to do this. D-Bone has Hardy. Hey, that's good. Wow. And last but not least, Hardy, can you make some space for Mickey Mouse? Holy shit, Mickey.

1:53:20Pat McAfee:Zeno with the greatest costume I have ever seen. Thank you, Mickey Mouse. All right, thank you, Mickey Mouse. We'll see you more on Monday. That's how we ended the show. Hardy real quick will you come back That's how we ended the show Unbelievable Hardy I think this is This is a really good effort I think you should be very proud of yourself You're a massive big loud boy aren't you Hardy's kind of your guy You won a contest On trying to guess What the order of his How many songs 14 song albums Didn't have an order out there Let's go ahead and do a contest If one of these people can figure out what the exact order is of my songs, we'll give them two show tickets.

1:54:08Pat McAfee:There was one winner. Thousands and thousands of entries. One winner. Because the odds of that, just absolutely absurd. Unless you can really feel the music. Unless you can really see the story. Ladies and gentlemen, Hardy here. Baby Hardy. Boy, Hardy. Thank you, boys. Can we sing a song real quick? Absolutely. Oh, no. Yep, this is what we came to. I'm still the same old redneck fuck. Don't give a damn I'm afraid to throw a dead buck On my Instagram Grain, alcohol in my cup Got the whole house Wall to wall It's daylight sold out Yeah, good work Not enough passion, I think, in the delivery No, definitely not Because Hardy really puts on a show But that's the difference between Halloween Hardy And Apple Hardy That's a good point Just watch the difference there Hardy, great pen Great pen I'm surprised he didn't somehow work the Hardy boys into the Hardy costume.

1:55:02Pat McAfee:You should have maybe half done it. And ladies and gentlemen, obviously, one half of the Hammer Cowboys is dressed as Yinzer legend, Hall of Famer, Super Bowl champion, Coach Cowher. Thank you for joining us today, Coach. It's a true honor to be here with you boys today. How has it been? What did you have to do mentally to really attack today's show? Nothing. I just wake up, eat, breathe, and sleep football, as I said before. Coming here and talking football with you boys is what I was destined to do. Obviously, I feel good about being with you boys. We share the same iron in our blood from the three rivers.

1:55:36It's just a true honor to be here.

1:55:39Pat McAfee:Yeah, and I like that you're putting a little spotlight on Coach Coward because as a fellow Yenzer as well, we love that man. Ladies and gentlemen, please say hello to Hall of Fame Yenzer legend, Coach Bill Coward. Yeah! Coach, what are your thoughts? Immediate reaction, what are your thoughts? So, Tone, I guess that's my chin, huh? Well, see the thing, coaches, I don't have a chin. I learned that the other day when I shaved my beard, so I had to, you know, come up with this prosthetic. Yeah, I love the fact that we are from the same bloodlines, the three rivers, the convergence of the three rivers that landed in Three River Stadium that went to Hinesfield and now sits in Zach Risher.

1:56:26and we are playing the Indianapolis Colts this week, as you know. This is a reunion of the 2005 championship teams. I'm going back there this afternoon. I'm going to be with the boys tonight. I'm going to give them a talk tomorrow. Ben's going to pick me up for a go to the walkthrough and hopefully I get a picture with A-Rod and Mike, myself, and Ben. That was a pretty remarkable game, Pat. I don't know if you remember that game in 2005.

1:56:52Pat McAfee:Let's talk about it. Okay. I remember. It was a game. You always say there's ebb and flow in every game. We came out and got off to an early start. At one point in the third, fourth quarter, we actually sacked Peyton three consecutive times. He had problems with protection at that time. All we had to do at that point, up by three, was basically, I didn't want to just sit on it because you would have enough time. So I would hand the ball to Jerome. and Jerome, who has never fumbled all year, he happened to fumble the ball on that particular play. And the only people we had in the field that time was a bunch of linemen in slow tight ends that were blocking them.

1:57:37And so as Harper picked it up, who ironically enough had an incident at his home the day before, but he took off, Ben going backwards, tripped him up, and right there may have been the best tackle of the entire playoff. Here it is. All you got to do is just don't fumble. And now we are up by three, and we're sitting there with Peyton at the midfield. He throws two balls into the end zone to our rookie, Brian McFadden. They both fall incomplete. But you have like a 52-yard field goal by Mike Vanderjagt, who was the most accurate field goal kicker at the time. And so I called timeout to ice him.

1:58:20He looked at me like, what are you doing? I'm thinking, well, what else am I going to do? I only got one more time. I left. He missed it. That game was epic only because of the fact earlier in the season, we lost three straight games. And one was an embarrassment on Monday night in Indianapolis to that same team. So that was kind of a revenge tour we had that season. We won eight straight that year and won a championship, six of which were on the road. And it was kind of a revenge. First was Cincinnati, the last team we lost to. The second was Indianapolis, who embarrassed us on Monday night. And, Tone, the third one was Denver.

1:58:56And we had enough history with Denver to say, we're going to beat you in your place, Mike Shanahan. That was an ass beating. And then we went to Seattle and went to Detroit, going up there in a Motown. We were the home team. And I said, nope, we are the away team. We're in our white jerseys because we've been underdogs this entire trip because you said no 6C can ever go to a Super Bowl, let alone even win one. So you know what? We're not only going to do it, and we're going to do it as a road.

1:59:20Pat McAfee:dog and that's what we did yeah and Jerome Bettis' hometown he won a Super Bowl for the bus on the way out what an absolutely wonderful story yeah I got absolute chills you reminiscing on the greatness of that 2005 team I graduated high school in 2005 him in 2006 so we were living that with you brother you need to know we were living alongside of that are you speaking to the current team because what you just said there is like hey hard times during the season then we got hot and we started rolling. It was a revenge tour. Are you speaking to the boys? I have to go up to Buffalo on Sunday for CBS.

1:59:52I've got to leave Saturday night. But I think the bottom line is sometimes the depth of despair can take you to the heights of hope. And that's what we were able to go through when you talk about losing three straight games in November. We lose 7-2, go to 7-5. Everybody's counting it out. Here's a great story. I'll share this with you, Pat, and we'll probably talk about it. I'm going to talk about it Saturday night. We're getting ready on a Friday night. They played at Cincinnati Bengals. We're a sixth seed. And, you know, Mr. Rooney comes into my office about four o 'clock in the afternoon. Everybody's gone.

2:00:22He says, Coach, how are we doing? I go, Mr. Rooney, I think we're good. We had a good week work. I mean, Cincinnati, we know them well. I think we'll be okay. He goes, well, I want to give you something here. I go, well, listen, I go, what is it? He goes, it's a rosary beach. I go, I'm not even Catholic. He goes, just take him. I said, well, we don't need any luck. He said, Coach, every little bit helps. So I said, okay. So I took him, put him in my pocket, and I sat there and all of a sudden, the Indianapolis game, after Payton got that ball back after the drone fumble, I went in my pocket. I started holding that thing.

2:00:54I go, come on, baby. Work your juju. Come on, man. Come on. Come on, baby. So I held him, and we won that game. Vendor Chack's lining up. I called time out. I went in my pocket. I go, okay, come on, baby. Come on, Rosary Beats. Misses it. We go out to Denver. It's about 10 minutes before I'm shaking hands. We're coming in, getting ready to come to the huddle. I go, shoot. I ran into the huddle. I ran into the locker room. I go, where's Coach going? Did he have to go to the bathroom? Is he nervous? I go, no. I go, I forgot rosary beads. So I had to go in there, got them back, put them in my pocket.

2:01:26And to this day, I still have them. I'm going to pull them out on Saturday night as I meet with some of the guys and just talk about the element of what happens with that football team. It started at the top. It trickles down. We were a special unit because we all had a degree of sacrifice. We all had a degree of commitment. And we all learned to trust one another and have each other's back. It wasn't our most talented team, but it was our closest team. And that's what I'm proud of. And so sometimes I sit there and say, no matter where you are, the depths of despair can take you to the heights of hope.

2:02:02Pat McAfee:That's a bar right there, Coach. That's why you're a Hall of Famer. That's why we're proud to have you as the Inzer and friend of the program. You're the man. And also, the inspo for Tone Diggs on this beautiful Halloween. Ladies and gentlemen. Tone Diggs, you made my Halloween, brother. I love it. Thank you. You made my childhood, Coach, so thank you. Oh, yes. We love that. Ladies and gentlemen, Coach Bill Kaur. Yeah, Coach. Thank you, Coach. All right. Let's take a break. On the other side, we'll make all our picks. And we'll get out of here on this happy Halloween. Feel good Friday, October 31st, 2025.

2:02:33Pat McAfee:What a day this has been. What a day. Just Bill Kaur popping. Did you know it was coming? I had a feeling. I was kind of pieced together there late. And Bill Cowher was like, can't wait. So excited. So pumped. He was actually pumped that you did that. Look at you. It's awesome. Winning people over. Because in the past, it's gone the opposite. Yeah. I got fired pretty much. One of the people that were doing that too.

2:02:56Are all batteries the same? That's like asking if all soccer players are the same. Take Messi, the most decorated player ever. Is there any other player who has achieved that? No, just him. Now take Duracell. Is there any other battery with Power Boost ingredients inside? No, just Duracell. Remember, goats only trust goats because they're built different. And Messi only trusts Duracell.

2:04:18Pat McAfee:This podcast is brought to you by the show. Frat boys that were taught a lesson in a hard time with 50 push-ups while they were getting scolded on the streets. Now, can you imagine if another group of frat boys come and take Skelly out of his yard again after he was already returned? Why would you do that? I'm just wondering if there's a rival frat that wants to come and take Skelly. Hopefully not. So I think what had happened was from the messages that I seen from it, it was actually own frat turn in and then also other frats saying, we don't want to do that. That ain't what we want to do. Oh, okay.

2:04:52Pat McAfee:We don't want to be disrespected Mr. Shipley. The one guy actually from what we've been told actually said profusely to his group, no skeletons this year, boys. Okay, no skeletons this year. So these guys, whenever you talk about feeling bad, this group and then every group, every fraternity in his state, from what I've been told said, that ain't how this is supposed to go. Not supposed to steal the daughter's favorite skeleton that's out front, making it spooky season and celebrating Halloween. And now they can smile again. and the boys returned it, did the right thing. We salute them. Yeah, I do.

2:05:24It works, bud.

2:05:25Pat McAfee:Talks tables here at Harry Potter and Heavenly Hulk Hogan. Hulkster, what are your thoughts on Skelly getting stolen? That seems like a one-way trip to hell, brother. They return it almost reverse. Oh, card, let's go ahead and send right back to heaven maybe. Is that how you think it'll be viewed by St. Peter? We'll see. He's a pretty tough critic, so I don't know. I think. Really? Oh, maybe. I'm just saying. He is, yes, yes. What'd you say? Yeah, well. You got something to say with that fucking stupid-looking haircut? Hey, I remember you said a couple hours ago, hey, how about being Tempe in a couple years?

2:06:00Your career's done, pal. You're going to fucking die in Toledo, Ohio, doing some bullshit newscast that no one's watching. If you're a weatherman, I'm Joe DiNardo, who may I just add? How's he doing? He's a lovely guy. So we got... Has he made any of the gravy? So I was just going to say, we actually have an eclectic bunch that comes over to my house every Sunday night. You remember Big Tom Callahan? Yes. Brian Dennehy, he's there. And then we got Regis Philbin. Wow. Dikembe Mutombo. What? And then, yeah, obviously Joe DiNardo comes over. Mongo? No Mongo?

2:06:41Pat McAfee:McMichael? Mongo is by my hip wherever I go. He's one of the horsemen, obviously. me and him weren't exactly the tightest when we were in the WCW but me and Bongo we see a lot so yeah he'll stop over for sundae gravy every once in a while it's kind of tough with Joe we didn't start out on the best foot because my name is Terry Bollea guess who also knows how to make some sundae gravy the Hulkster does dude and I'm talking so much protein and oregano Italian sausage, pork sausage tomatoes the freshest obviously The freshest tomato. Well, that's one nice thing about being up here is the big guy don't fuck around with produce.

2:07:21It's so fresh everywhere you go. But yeah, my Sunday gravy, obviously, everybody loves it. They come from miles and miles around. Joe's gravy's pretty good, too. Okay, all right. It's not bad.

2:07:33Pat McAfee:I'm happy to see you two paisans up there really making everybody happy. One half of the hammer. Cowboys, Coach Cowher is here. Now, let's dive in to the games here. Last night, we were both on the Baltimore Ravens. Yes, we were. Minus seven and a half. We get the win, which is not good, by the way, for the NFL. If both of us were on the Ravens and for us to win, then the game had to be obviously more than a one-score difference at the end. It was. And Miami didn't look terrible at the beginning. Now, could have taken a field goal, could have made a field goal. That thing could have been 14-12 at halftime.

2:08:04Pat McAfee:Okay? Instead, it's 14-6. Then the second half goes how it goes. And inevitably, the Baltimore Ravens is who everybody thought they could potentially be. they get a huge win on Thursday Night Football. We kind of forecasted that, did we not, Eddie Simpson? Yeah, we did. We thought seven and a half was a lot, but we knew the Ravens were going to cover. Yeah, and we like the Ravens going forward because you know who else likes the Ravens going forward? The sportsbooks. Now, let's not think about the sportsbooks. Let's take a look-see here at who the public is on. You know, there's been quite a story to be told throughout this NFL season on who the public betting or the public money exactly is upon.

2:08:36Pat McAfee:87 % on the Lions hosting the Vikings. 88 % on the Chargers traveling to the Tennessee Titans team that just got blown out by the Colts last week. 82 % on the Broncos and the Texans. That's only plus one and a half, though. So they're just thinking that they win the game, even though the Houston Texans last week looked unbelievable. Almost 80 % on the Chargers at 78%. Same with the Seahawks when they're traveling to Washington. That's a long way to go to be three-point favorites. Patriots, 77%. 75 % on the Colts against the Steelers. Three and a half point spread there. Okay, a lot of people thinking the Colts offense is going to do what it's going to do.

2:09:12Pat McAfee:But maybe this is the game that kind of ignites that Pittsburgh Steelers team, like the 2005 Pittsburgh Steelers, who took a couple losses, then turned that into motivation and then ran the table. And they're going to be celebrating that in Accra sure this weekend. That feels like a big deal. Jacksonville Jaguars getting 74%. Good for Liam Kelly. Yeah, only two and a half. Yeah, only two and a half point favorites, which is why maybe 74 % are on that. But even traveling to the Raiders, the Jaguars as a whole, having that many people believe in them at that congrats to him cowboys 68 there might be 100 billion dollars underneath the ground so uh there's a chance that if they win or lose it does not matter uh panthers taking on the green bay packers almost at 70 on the pack minus 12 and a half that's a huge spread bills favored by two and a half at home 66 of the folks are saying listen i've seen what this regular season matchup looks like in the past and the bills win that and then the Bengals at 60 % over the Bears and the Niners at 64 % over the Giants.

2:10:09Pat McAfee:All right, so that's where the public lies. We will certainly need to be reminded as we go through here and pick each one of these games individually. Let's start with the Broncos at the Texans. Broncos getting a lot of the money. Texans favored by one and a half down there in Houston. Edward Simpson, A.J. Hawk, who do you like? How do you like it? So, Tone, do we not want to be on the public side? Actually, at the beginning of the year, you did not. Beginning of the year, like the first six weeks. Yes, yes, the first six, seven weeks. The last two weeks, the public has been a lot better. This last week in there, including last night, there was a six and six run on teams getting 60 % or more.

2:10:47So you're not winning.

2:10:49Pat McAfee:So the first seven weeks, it was asked. You're not getting demolished. And then it's become a little fit. Maybe, maybe the public's right. But Monday night and then last night, they were both 70%. Is it starting to become too obvious with the string of games that we've had for the first time since 1970. Let's see if we have any blowouts, like a whole slate of poopy games again. Now, the favorites did a big-time W-Fest last weekend. A lot of the favorites just blew out the teams that weren't supposed to be good. Houston Texans favored over the Broncos at home. C.J. Stroud had a good week last week.

2:11:21Pat McAfee:Denver Broncos are who everybody thinks they are, I think. The Denver Broncos coming into the season at Super Bowl Hoops. Go ahead, Con. Yeah, massive loss is no certain this week. He's now out for four to six weeks with that strained peck. That's a big deal. Definitely changed a lot. The under here is definitely nice. I was leaning somewhat heavy Broncos. You know what? With how CJ Stroud and they are playing with a certain out, give me the Texans. Okay, I'll take the Texans as well. Falcons, Patriots. Patriots favored by five and a half at home. Any super-duper lighter uppers happening up there in New England?

2:11:56I'm not sure about the super-duper lighter uppers. I know Lawrence Guy. Did it last week? Yeah, Hubie Prather King. He is a dog, Larry Guy.

2:12:04Pat McAfee:Former teammate of mine, absolute dog. Me too. Legend. He's a Green Bay. Legend. Green Bay as well. This is a great matchup for New England. They haven't allowed a 50-yard rusher yet, and even with Penix back and Drake London, and Drake London is still kind of questionable, Christian Gonzalez is the best player on New England. He'll take out Drake London. So I actually do really like the Patriots here, which, again, might be a really, really bad sign. And no Ramondre Stevenson, so Trevion Henderson, second-round pick at Ohio State, now kind of becomes a premier guy. Very excited to watch it. Yeah, he's a great player, Holmster.

2:12:38Pat McAfee:This Trevion Henderson, he's an absolute dog whenever we last saw him play. Now he's potentially going to get the load, if you will, of the runs for this Patriots team. Falcons lose to the Dolphins pretty bad. Real bad. But they're like this, aren't they? They are, yeah. I literally said on game two, was it two weeks ago? I think it was Michigan. I was like, Michigan is like this. So this is literally what Michigan is like. Last week, they were like this. So this week, that means they're going to be like this. Only reason why I picked them. Literally the only reason why I picked them. Falcons kind of like that as well.

2:13:09Pat McAfee:Wouldn't this be like the bad week to face the Falcons with how their season has gone, Hulkster? Well, I think that's why if you're a Patriots fan, you're very excited to watch this game. Because, yeah, conventional wisdom would say, hey, this is the week the Falcons are going to perform, dude. They've kind of been horse shit every other week. Kirk Cousins ain't playing. Listen, I love Kirk. Might be time to stick a fork in that guy. What? He might be done. Fork in Kirk? Yeah, I think so, especially when you're paying him$28 million. Man, what a bad idea that was. But it doesn't matter. It doesn't matter because you got the young guy in pennies.

2:13:41He looks pretty good. But if you're a Patriots fan, this is the week where you can kind of emphatically say, hey, we're a really good team. We're supposed to get Atlanta's best shot. And if we go out there and just go belt the ass, beat the piss out of them, then yeah, yeah, we are the kids.

2:13:56Pat McAfee:Kirk Cousins is going to get a pair of those. Kirk Cousins is going to get a pair of those. Without a doubt. You know, I don't do too much of that stuff. You know, getting the predictive markets of when certain people are going to be up there. But yeah, you know, just in kind of passing conversation, St. Peter has said, I'll tell you what, I really like the cut of that Kirk Cousins jib. I don't know if he's going to get the 23-inch, you know, wigs. He might be more of a 16 to 18-inch guy. But I guess we'll see. What are normal python sizes compared to yours, little on the wings. I know you got bigger wings, but what are normal pythons?

2:14:29I usually don't even keep track because the holsters are so fucking big. Usually I'd say, I don't know, 11 to 12 inches. Like A.J.

2:14:38Pat McAfee:Hawker. You're a 23-inch pythons. What do you think? Go ahead and give a flex for me, son. You can't release my arm. Yeah, I can tell. Yeah, I mean, what is it, 12? Holster's basically doubling up, A.J. Hawker. No way. I'm here. I don't think it's... No, I'm all right. Then go fuck yourself, dude. You suck. I'm not done with you. I thought you were in heaven. You're not supposed to say that. How many times have I said, Boo! I can do whatever the fuck I want, baby! I am a real American. Fiver the right of the man. How does everyone else react to him up there? I would imagine they don't love this.

2:15:18He's got those. There's no way they can love this up there.

2:15:20Pat McAfee:He said that's the platinum card. He said those are the platinum card. You ever heard of a black Amex, dude? Dude, Amex, Amex. Yeah, basically what these are. They ain't getting declined anywhere.

2:15:36With that being said, I'll take the Patriots. Okay, good pick.

2:15:43Pat McAfee:I'll flex those muscles with the Patriots as well, Hogster. I love it. You guys are on one today, dude. What's spread? Five and a half. It's big. It's a big spread. we do have some stats on size of biceps uh we looked them up and this is what ai had to say there's three different degrees of biceps there's untrained male that's 13 to 14 inches what i think you were trying to say holster to to aj and there's an active bond you know maybe a runner a mover but not necessarily a lifter 14 to 16 inch bythons and then bodybuilders obviously they got 16 20 inches but we know that's not true because the top end of that thing is 20 is the roof.

2:16:24Pat McAfee:Hulkster's more than just a bodybuilder. He's got 23-inch pythons. But what AI's saying is what you got strapped to your shoulders right now, not normal Hulkster. Yeah, exactly. They actually forgot. And it's not, you know, yeah, there is bodybuilders, and then there's one more category, and it's the Hulkster. And guess who sits in that category? The Hulkster and nobody else, okay? Maybe Big Black. I know he had, you know, which, again, lovely guy, lovely guy. Robin Big. Do you hang out with him? Well, I don't know. What do you think? I just said he's a lovely guy. So do you think maybe I spent it?

2:16:58Do you know how much time I got to kill up here? All of it. How much you can do?

2:17:03Pat McAfee:Okay, I'm happy to hear that. By the way, we're all happy to hear that. I'm glad you're hanging out with him. Hardy looked like he had some 23s on him. Wouldn't that count? Hardy, did you wake up on the wrong side of a truck bed this morning? Can you let the Hulkster maybe come see what he thinks the size of the biceps the pythons are in right now? What category is that? I'll tell you what. D-Bone is living his best life. He looks great. He's living his best life. Hardy said that was sick. Did he really? Yeah, I just want to let you know that, D-Bone. I think there's a nod of approval from Hardy there.

2:17:37Pat McAfee:Hulkster, if you had to look and eyeball these pythons, what would you be saying there? That's what I'm talking about. Point three. I like that. Hey, can you back up just a little bit? Back up just a little? No, like that way. Yeah, because Jabba's kind of... Yeah. What do you think there, Hulkster? I'll tell you what. I like the cut of this young man's jib. It's just the only thing I'm really noticing is the 53-inch waist. That's the only thing that my eyes are going to. So... 42. 42? That's not bad, but we need to trim that down a little bit. Aren't you only like 25, dude? Come on. Get healthy, brother.

2:18:08He's a D3 national champion. I know, but you know what he also did? He said, well, I need a solo cup for my costume. Get one over on the Hulkster I've seen how many fucking Dr. Peppers You've been drinking today dude He's been just emptying those things

2:18:22Pat McAfee:That's Halloween Hulkster we're supposed to celebrate That's what we're here for What's your favorite candy Hulkster? Call me crazy I'm a good and plenty guy Yeah I agree You like those too? I knew I liked you It's one of those things where I get it It's Halloween we should celebrate Do we need to be drinking 16 12 ounce Dr. Peppers before 3 o 'clock in the afternoon? I don't think so. He's not going to be honest with us. I know how much candy that guy's eating tonight. Okay, he needs to enjoy it, obviously, especially with the text from Hardy. Well, yeah. He's having a hell of a day. You look good, brother.

2:18:57Pat McAfee:How do you think about his U-ball performances lately? Have you seen him? I did. I saw him yesterday. He needs to get rid of the... I mean, I know he became a pioneer. He thought that was a big deal. I haven't seen him make one of them fuckers in like two weeks. He needs to start shooting the U-ball. Shoot the U-ball, son.

2:19:16happy Halloween happy Halloween dude

2:19:18Pat McAfee:happy Halloween

2:19:23man

2:19:24Pat McAfee:we had no idea how this was going to go I had a pretty good idea

2:19:32Pat McAfee:I'm happy to hear that we're both on the Patriots that makes everybody happy out here no matter what the waste or the Pythons are Carolina Panthers Green Bay Packers Packers favored by 12 and a half Any other lines out there, Tone? There actually is. Sorry, Coach. You can get anywhere from 13.5 if you want the Panthers down to that 12.5 if you're on the pack. Okay, so you can add an extra. Panthers quarterback Bryce Young has no injury designation for Sunday, meaning he's good to go versus the Packers, says Adam Schefter. Bryce Young back getting a lot of points if you want him in Lambeau. Man, 12.5 points.

2:20:06What do they know that we don't know? I know the Packers are good. I know Jordan Love is good, but I think the Panthers are pretty good too with Bryce in there.

2:20:12Pat McAfee:I'll pick the Panthers plus 13 and a half. Is that what I can get? I'll take Panthers plus 13 and a half. Give me the Packers, actually. What's that old bud? 12 and a half, right? Yeah, give me the Packers. Micah is heating up. What do you have? How many sacks last game? Just one. You're saying no backdoor cover because Micah at the end of the game. Is that what you're saying? Micah is kind of a backdoor cover machine. For real. That's when they feast. That's when you get those sacks. That's a great point. Actually, that is something to think about here because in my mind, it's like Bryce Young, good player.

2:20:40Pat McAfee:Bryce Young, good player. Carolina Panthers, good team, we think. Like, not ass. Four and four. Yeah, we think they're a good team. Going into the season, I don't think anybody had any expectations because they're Carolina Panthers and everything like that, but they are a good team. I think they're only going to continue to be a good team in that NFC South. 13 points feels like a lot of points. It just feels like a lot of points for that team. This strikes me as a recency bias type deal because the Panthers did not look good last week. And granted, it was Andy Dalton. He basically came out afterward and said, like, I didn't tell anybody, but I had a fucking broken thumb the entire time.

2:21:09So not easy to play quarterback. We got broken thumb, dude. But then you also look at the Packers. Big time emotional win. You know, Jordan Love looked unbelievable. He was the FedEx Air Player of the Week. So maybe that's, you know, getting into this a little bit. How'd you know he's the – you pay attention to all the – I read the tabloids quite a bit. You know, just check in, see what's going on. And maybe, I don't know, maybe I have a little say in who's going to win. You know, the – That's FedEx Air. Air Player of the Week. I also am big. I kind of spearheaded the, hey, who's the Pepsi rookie of the week?

2:21:45That was also one of the Hulkster's kind of big moves. Who was that this week? Ah, shit. I don't know. Probably, I'm trying to think, rookie off the top of my head. I don't know. Tyler Ward probably. That's something bitch wins in every week. So, maybe him. This strikes me as a game that the Packers win by 10, though. I'm right there with you. I don't – man, that's a tough number.

2:22:08Pat McAfee:13's a lot. Yeah. All right, good for me with the Panthers. Hopefully I look like a smart guy with that pick as opposed to just not going with the obvious. The Packers are very good, and maybe we're not showing them enough respect in the conversation of what can happen in the NFC, but the sportsbooks like what they're at. Okay, let's go with the Chargers traveling to Tennessee. Chargers, nine-and-a-half point favorites against a Tennessee Titans team that just got decimated by the Indianapolis Colts. I'll say this from watching this team. Cam Ward's electrifying. He is electrifying. Now, I don't know how much of it is like, hey, this is sustainable in NFL because he's making like these nasty.

2:22:44Pat McAfee:We've over top of a linebacker in front of a safety guy running 20 miles an hour across the field, perfect throws, under duress. I mean, he's doing shit that's like outrageous with that. And their team stinks. So if the team was to get very good, you would assume that Cam Ward becomes guy like everybody else. But then, you know, they're going to get caught into a who's coach, when's coach, who's coach, when's coach, if they don't figure that out. So I'm very worried about potentially Cam Ward's entire career, especially with the glimpse that we saw in person at the Loud House this past weekend.

2:23:15Pat McAfee:On that note, Colts steamrolled them. And the Colts are a very, very, very good football team. So I think outside of Indianapolis, outside the Colts fan base, everybody says, well, this Titans team must be ass if the Colts did that to them. It's like this Colts team, best team in football right now. And the Titans have ruled out Calvin Ridley again. Jeffrey Simmons again. They weren't playing last week. Arden Key and Xavier Woods for Sunday's game against the Chargers. Go ahead, Con, man. I would just look at all four of those guys to be traded by Monday. That is the one thing going into this weekend that's interesting is all these poopy teams, the guys who aren't playing, they just seem to be types of guys that might get moved.

2:23:51Pat McAfee:Okay, so that's potentially a decision like let's not get hurt. Let's not get these guys hurt. We know where we're at. We know it's possible. And good business could potentially be get rid of some of our good parts so that we can build this thing in the future around Cam Ward. Not that those guys wouldn't be helping him, but also getting rid of your best players is telling the entire fan base, like, yeah, it's going to be a wall. Two months of the regular season left, too. That's what's crazy. Yeah, already fired their coach, and Jefferson has been hurt for a little, so it might also just be a lingering in.

2:24:20Pat McAfee:And Ridley as well. Yeah. So he was out last week at least. So, you know, the Colts people around the Colts, people in the building, were expecting the Colts to beat the hell out of the Titans. They were like, we should beat the hell out of this team. They're hurt, too. Like, it's not good. Yeah. And then they go out and do that. It's like, hell yeah. On the other side, if you're a Titans fan, that's not good to hear from the Indianapolis Colts saying that. No, it's not. I was actually going to lean Titans for a little bit on this game. And then obviously seeing Jeffrey Simmons, all these guys still out now.

2:24:46Give me the Chargers.

2:24:48Pat McAfee:Cam's special watching them, though. Remember in camp what he was doing? From the day he stepped into that franchise, into the building there, it was unbelievable, everything about him. But the offense needs to – he's got a new offense coming, another one coming already into his NFL career. Don't we all think, though, that NFL, to win, the offense has to be on time, scripted. Everything has to be like that. Cam's obviously going to continue to develop and kind of get in that because you think about back to Miami. There was some magic happening all over the place. Him and Restrepo were connected at the hip, seemingly, as they were dominating everybody.

2:25:23Pat McAfee:A lot of football gods blessing them as well. I'm sure you see the football gods up there running around. All the time. We meet every Wednesday night, dude. Wednesdays because there's no games on. And then is that why the football gods are kind of freed up? Yeah, typically they'll come over. Obviously, they love Real American Beer as well. So, you know, they'll have a couple pints with me. And, yeah, we kind of just chat about the league as a whole. Hey, look for this team this weekend, Hulkster. Football guy's going to bless them. Oh, so it's kind of like inside information you're getting on what the games are going to happen on most Hulksters?

2:25:50Pat McAfee:I didn't know that was happening up there. Did you know that, Ed? I had no clue. It's crazy, especially with what's going on down here. Who's your favorite player? You got a couple favorite players? Like two or three? Like currently, or we're talking like all time. Right now, who are your favorite current players in the league right now? Right now. I mean, I'd like the cut of that Dan Jones' gym. I really do. I like that guy a lot, man. Who else do I like? Probably like Cooper DeGene. I could see you liking him. I love him, obviously. Reed Blankenship, love him. Riley Moss, love him. I mean, honestly, I could just go on and on and on.

2:26:26Patrick Ricard, don't you? Yeah, I love that he's healthy. I maybe knew that a couple weeks ago. What week he was coming back, dude. Maybe. Do you like Lamar a lot? I actually, you know what? I have come around on Lamar. I was a big, this guy's a running back playing quarterback. A lot of people are saying that.

2:26:42Pat McAfee:A lot of people are saying that. That guy's quarterback. Yeah, he's unbelievable. There's a couple throws last night. I mean, you're talking like seeds on the run just doing insane stuff. Him being able to do that after pulling the ping pong tables and everything, he's a special guy. All right, let's go to the next game. Let's go. Chargers, Titans, who do you officially take? I am taking the Chargers. Me as well. Let's go to San Francisco 49ers taking on the New York Giants. Niners favored by two and a half, heading into MetLife Stadium. Who do you like? How do you like it, AJ? What am I missing here with only two and a half?

2:27:16Pat McAfee:Should it be more? I mean, I guess. Texans had like 98 % of time in possession against San Fran last week. No Fred, no Bosa on the defensive side. Go ahead. One o 'clock game for a West Coast team on the East Coast. Yeah, you just add that into all the other. Even the Giants. Yeah, I'll take the Giants as well. I think we're seeing it the same. That might be recency bias from what we just saw from the Niners, but it was not good. That's good. I'm seeing Jackson Dart in the window here. Let's go. I was watching on the Pat McAfee, and I saw the boys actually liked us to win. That's pretty lit. He's not going to like this.

2:27:45We're wearing the best jerseys in football as well. I got to paw it up for you right there. Boom. Got the color rushes. Those are much nicer than the, you know, we saw on Sunday night. The all yellow the Chargers were?

2:27:58Pat McAfee:They tried to take your gimmick almost. Yeah. And there's a reason everybody hates that. Because they look at yellow, and they associate that with Hulkamania, brother. Now and forevermore. Amen. I am a real American. Fight for the rights of every man. I am a real American. Fight for your rights. Fight for your life, dude. Wednesday nights with the football gods have to be so much fun. They're the best. Dude, I couldn't even imagine. You got a band up there? You playing bass up there still? Did you even listen to anything I said earlier? No, really, no. The Hulkster doesn't need to play the bass when you got fucking Ozzy Osbourne and Meatloaf and guys like that coming up and saying, hey, Hulkster, you about to sit down?

2:28:47I'll do anything for love right now. Guess what? Yes, you will, Meatloaf. Take the fucking stage, dude. Who are your favorite players that are up there now with you from the NFL? From the NFL?

2:29:00I was going to say, don't make that. I was not prepared for this question, and I don't want to get any guys pissed off. Because guess what? We're not talking about these guys when they pass. We're talking about mean, lean, fighting machines from when they're in their mid-20s.

2:29:14Pat McAfee:Oh, so that's the answer. So that's what you show up as, your best version? If you want to. Oh, you have options. Yeah, if you wanted to be like Marlon Brando, for example. Yeah. Obviously, he was the godfather. He was Doc Corleone. he gained like 150 pounds when he was in Apocalypse Now basically just turned into like a fat slob when he got up to heaven he said nah fuck it I want to be the fat slob version of me and everyone was like Marlon you're the man dude so it's kind of dealer's choice it's up to you you're breaking a lot of news on what's I try you know not everyone's fortunate enough to get up there brother that's the the Fu Manchu very strong.

2:29:58Pat McAfee:It makes sense now, especially with how big the biceps are, that you picked the best version. This is the greatest Hulkster that you had the entire run, you think? I think you could argue that again when I was running hot with Nash and Hall in like 95. Yeah, but you couldn't be NWO. Exactly. You can't be a heel up there because nobody's going to walk over to your house, dude. Nobody's going to come to Hogan's Hangout. A lot of babyfaces up there. A lot of babyfaces up there. Exactly. So, you know, it's like, could I, and every once in a while, I will. I'll grow the black beard back and just to see what people will do, I'll stroll right there.

2:30:31Pat McAfee:They got paint up there? Yeah, well, not really paint. I'll just wake up and be like, hey, St. Peter, I want to look like Hollywood Hulk Hogan today. It just happens immediately. Sometimes I'll just walk right down the main strip and just do it.

2:30:47I kind of remember people, yeah, Hulk still got that fastball too.

2:30:51Pat McAfee:Yes, he does. Vikings at Lions Lions favored by nine and a half at home against the Vikings. Interesting conversations around the Vikings were had earlier today by us. Oh, yeah. But with the trade deadline looming and no answers really for some teams, especially teams that were like in contention to be the number one seed in the NFC just last year and have a lot of, you know, questions still. Very important. Like J.J. McCarthy's guy. Okay, sounds good. We appreciate that. Saw him do a shed drill, shed sprawl drill last week. So we're assuming he's getting healthier to be back there. Trade deadline Tuesday.

2:31:28Pat McAfee:Who knows who's buying, who's selling, who's making massive moves. We assume somebody will. But the Vikings, vastly different place than we thought they were going to be in. And the Lions also, if you ask Schrager going into the year, you lose both coordinators. I don't think it's going to be as good of a year. Let's go ahead and just completely reverse that. The Lions sit where the brand-new Lions have been sitting. Now, Foxy, nine-and-a-half point favorites at home. How do you feel about it? Yeah, Lions coming off the bye week, by the way. And if you remember two weeks ago, we played the box.

2:31:56Pat McAfee:Secondary was absolutely ravaged. We're getting Terry and Arnold back. We're getting Brian Branch back. But Kirby Joseph, DJ Reed's still out. But J.J. McCarthy, homecoming game. When the Lions are favored by a lot at home over the last two, three years, they tend to cover the spread. So I'll just leave you guys with that. Okay. Con man, which way do you lean in this particular match? It feels as though it's going to be a panic in Minnesota. on Monday, and the Lions might be kind of hitting their stride a bit here. So I love the Lions. Coach Cowher, you like MCDC. I think you see a lot of yourself potentially in the way he operates.

2:32:35Pat McAfee:What do you think about this game? Love MCDC. It's a visional game. I took the Lions. You get them at minus 8.5. I just don't like the vibes going on in Minnesota right now. Ed Simpson, what are your thoughts? I like the Lions here, too. I can get them at 8.5, you say, Tone? Yep. Yeah. I mean, this is going to be – can you imagine the environment? What time is it, noon or 4? 1 o 'clock. 1 o 'clock. 1 o 'clock game, okay. It's still going to be a raucous environment. I don't know if Kid Rock is playing halftime, but either way, that place is going to be going. He did his costume the other day. He did.

2:33:06Pat McAfee:Jeez. I'll take the Lions. Let's go to the next one. Colts versus Steelers. I like the Colts, minus 3.5 over there in Hackershire. The only worry is that that spray-painted dirt might be going too fast into people's eyes as Jonathan Taylor is doing his thing against that Pittsburgh Steelers defense. He's going to pop off at least one or two long ones. I mean, that's just what the Colts have been doing and have, you know, kind of consistently shown to be who they are. Explosive plays in the run game, and then also Danny Dimes doing his thing. Only three and a half, Coach Coward. Did you expect that, or did you think it was going to be a little bit more?

2:33:41Pat McAfee:And on that note, only three and a half is being said about the Indianapolis Colts in 2025 heading into play the Pittsburgh Steelers. On the road, too. On the road. Yeah, I thought it was going to be more. You can get minus three if you want, not that you're going to need it. Jonathan Taylor is going to have one or two of those runs a drive. Jeez. Coach, two touchdowns a drive? What is it? The depths of despair can take you to the heights of hope. Coach ain't walking through that door. He is. He is. He's going to speak to the team on Saturday, not this current team, the team that won the Super Bowl in 2005.

2:34:17Colts haven't won it in Pittsburgh since 2008. I assume that's going to change. Wow. They haven't won a game in Pittsburgh since 2008?

2:34:25Pat McAfee:A lot of hard times. Indianapolis Colts versus the Pittsburgh Steelers for my particular era of Indianapolis Colts time. Hard time. Big games for the Pittsburgh Steelers have come against the Indianapolis Colts. Everybody's playing the best football that they've ever played in their life against the Indianapolis Colts for the Pittsburgh Steelers, including Troy Pomolo. He just has a sense to do everything wrong in a moment where he needs to go left. He goes right somehow. I love that, man. But a lot of people on the internet are saying, like, this could be a Texas A &M versus LSU situation where it's a blowout.

2:34:54The stadium's empty in the fourth quarter. Rooney's looking around like, oh, we need to make a change.

2:34:58Pat McAfee:I don't know. That's what you were just saying about Minnesota. We got a couple of those coming down the pipe here for the NFL. I like the Colts minus 3.5. AJ, your thoughts on the game and who you like? Yeah, I like the Colts minus 3.5. I mean, does the Steelers' defense figure it out? I don't think this is the week to figure it out against Danny Jones and Jonathan Taylor. So, no. Give me the Colts. Okay. So, you like the Colts minus three and a half. Do you think the quarterback for the Steelers is going to be mad at Edward Simpson for picking the Colts in this particular game? If he ever became aware of the pick of Ed Simpson, sure.

2:35:31I'm sure he'd have a snarky remark.

2:35:34Pat McAfee:Yeah, I think there probably would be. Oh, yeah. Cool, bro. That's cool. Lose some hope. Lose some hope. I saw a good Halloween party coming out of Pittsburgh. I heard about. I heard about it too. Boys celebrate. That's good news. A couple losses. Maybe they don't want to be around each other. Why are we spending time? They do Halloween. Maybe that changes it. And on the other side of the field, the Indianapolis Colts, yeah. And max participation at the Halloween party. And they're having good times. Yeah. Mm-hmm.

2:36:04Love that move.

2:36:06Pat McAfee:That's an elite move. I didn't know that move still existed. Me neither. In 2025. my from what i've been told at team gathering social sorry camaraderie building gathering from what i've been told from quotes one of players okay on team that not start just on team in general two cups drinks okay yeah maybe found one made another one had one from earlier found where it was okay now you have to or just straight up i'll take two please because i won't come back here with a lot of people or whatever the case is and uh allegedly somebody's coming up to leave person puts one beer in other beer okay starts flowing daps up so have a good one takes beer out drinks immediately from both beers keeps conversation moving when you have that type of happening yes in your team boy this is dangerous indian albis every story i hear coming out of that place i'm like oh and bill coward just told the story about the pittsburgh sealers team how he said it wasn't our best team, but we were definitely the tightest.

2:37:12Pat McAfee:That was the tightest team we've had. This Colts team, I think, is very, very, very, very, very tight, and that's a wonderful thing to have. And it's very obvious whenever they play. It's very obvious that they know each other and that they understand what the hell is going on. And it just took Danny Dimes as the guy to kind of bring them all together. He does have a very calming demeanor, and he's also in charge. I love what he does. And they have a confidence in him knowing what he's doing, I think. He's the first one that hopefully that there will be some consistency over the last long time because there's been a lot of turnover.

2:37:39Pat McAfee:We shall see. Danny Dimes is cooking, though. It's going to be fun to see if he can do a little get back for about 10 years of Colts Steelers football this weekend. Bears taking on the Bengals 1 p.m. on CBS. Over under 51 and a half. Okay, 51 and a half. That's big boy offense stuff, they're saying. Bears favored by two and a half. Heading into the Cincinnati Bengals, who have had three players in like the last week ask for a trade, one of them being released and heading back to another team. That team celebrating him coming back as if he was doing hard time somewhere else. Let's talk about Bears-Bangles.

2:38:13Pat McAfee:Tone, any other numbers there? And who is the percentage on for this one again? So it's 2.5 across the board. 60 % is actually on the Bangles for this one at home. Swacko playing? He's got a sprained AC joint in his throwing shoulder. He was day-to-day. Which is super painful. And they just activated Sean Clifford, quarterback who was on the Packers, to the practice squad. Oh, boy. DeAndre. What? He's good I just hope for Bagels fans You do not want to see four quarters of Shawl Clifford football You don't, dude You don't, okay? Why not? You don't know? I do know He's the last great Penn State quarterback It was Zach Taylor He didn't ever fucking win anything at Penn State No, listen, he was a great dual 2016, was he there?

2:39:01Shit, I don't remember He was there for 10 years, so he might have been In some capacity

2:39:05Pat McAfee:Oh, I forgot. He did play. He was there for like 10 years, yeah, which is why he came in Packers backup quarterback. He was like six years older than Jordan Lovey. I drafted like two years later. He was like, the hell's going on here, dude? So they got rid of him. You basically need to – you train for Flacco. Your season's going to go down to the poop if you don't win this game. You need to play Flacco. Listen, I know it's not great, but if his arm falls off, it falls off. That's how Joe would want it. Is Caleb a guy, Harry, or not?

2:39:31Harry, the whisper tree. That's Caleb. Who would you compare him to? I mean, in my world, he's got a little bit of Malfoy in him. You look around their class, it's hard to say he's one of the top guys.

2:39:49Pat McAfee:No, hold on. With Ben Johnson, they're cooking now. Bad news because when the run game got going for the Chicago Bears, they really started rolling on the offensive side. DeAndre Swift is out Sunday versus the Bengals due to a groin injury. Groin, not great for a running back, not great for any explosive position We hope DeAndre Swift gets healthy on the other side of it. You like the Bears or the Bengals, AJ? Bears going in as two-and-a-half-point favorites into the jungle. I don't love the Joe Flacco situation. AC joint, that's one of the few you can shoot up with, like, lidocaine. They can try to numb it for the game.

2:40:19Some teams will do that. But I will take the Chicago Bears on this, actually.

2:40:23Pat McAfee:I will take the Chicago Bears as well. Jaguars, Raiders, you like Liam Cohen, or you like Tom Brady potentially making massive plays before trade deadline? Give me Liam Cohen in the Jags. Me as well. New Orleans Saints taking on the Los Angeles Rams. Rams favored by 14 and a half. I know that'll get Frozone jacked up around here. Frozone's going to have to... You're going to be able to see his excitement through the Frozone costume, potentially, Frozone. You get 14 if you want. Okay, you can get 14 if you like the Rams. Are you going to do that? Who's house? That was Frozone in the back room. Yeah, we're able to catch it.

2:40:57If Hulkster mentions Sean Clifford, Tyler Shuck's about to get fucking destroyed by this Rams defense. They're fresh off the bye-in. They just, before the bye, beat the shit out of the Jaguars.

2:41:10Pat McAfee:Tyler Shuck played a lot of football in college. He's been there and done that. He has seen it. You talk about Sean Clifford playing a lot of college ball. Tyler Shuck as well. And they talked about him being drafted. Well, why'd you draft him that late if he's going to be your starting quarterback? Well, he wasn't going to start the season. Obviously, they had Rattler in there. And then now Rattler's out. Tyler Shuck coming in. I think Kelly Moe believes this is potentially a guy. That was the convo going in. We shall see against this Rams defense that has been hungry and eating. The young boys are very good over there.

2:41:35Pat McAfee:I like the Rams minus 14. Yeah, I like the Rams minus 14 as well. Okay, Kansas City Chiefs taking on the Buffalo Beals. 52.5 points over under. Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes always perform against each other very well. Two and a half points are what the Chiefs heading into Buffalo are favorited as. How do you feel about it, AJ? Is there any other lines or any other piece of information we should know, Tone? Yeah, that two and a half actually just disappeared. So you can get the Chiefs minus one and a half, or you can get the Bills at plus two. Okay, so, A.J., whenever you think about this game, what are your first thoughts?

2:42:07Like I said earlier, this seems like one of those games where the Bills might find a way to win at home, and then the Chiefs get them later when it really matters. But I have a feeling, I think the Chiefs continue to roll. Give me the Chiefs minus one and a half.

2:42:17Pat McAfee:Okay, on that note, there's a little piece of news coming from the back room. Pacheco has not practiced. Here's the injury report for the Kansas City Chiefs. Josh Sim and Isaiah Pacheco need did not participate on Wednesday or on Thursday. All eyes will be on Pacheco here on this Friday. Now, what they're listed as at practice, big storyline. Yeah. Big storyline. Because we all thought what we saw last night with Lamar Jackson was actually coming back on Sunday. And then all of a sudden that wasn't the case. And we all knew, though. We all knew what Lamar was going to do. Yeah. We all knew what he was going to do.

2:42:50Pat McAfee:Ravens get a big-time win with Huntley. Lamar does his thing last night. Now everybody's going to have to properly document if you're a participant or you did not participate or if you're a limited participant. Well, he did every single rep that a scout team quarterback would do. That's a full participate guy. And then the NFL goes, no, full participant from that guy would be starting quarterback full participation. That's actually limited participation because he's doing scout. Is that in the rule book? I have no idea. It will be now. The NFL is fined the Baltimore Ravens$100 ,000 for violating the league's injury report policy by incorrectly listing quarterback Lamar Jackson's practice participation status on Friday, October 24th, one week ago from this moment right now.

2:43:30Pat McAfee:Yeah, they said because he was a scout team quarterback. What the Ravens said was he was our scout team quarterback, and he did everything. Full participant. And then the NFL goes, that ain't how this – he's Lamar Jackson. So if you go full participant, he's obviously full participant. You should just take him out one series. Taking him out for one series. Say he was limited. Don't take every rep as a scout team quarterback. Well, I think what the NFL is saying is that Baltimore is trying to lie to people to say Lamar was full participant. So they thought Lamar was going to be playing. I think is what the NFL is.

2:44:01Pat McAfee:Yeah. Oh, yeah. Yeah, I don't know. We haven't heard that before. No, that's why I think they find him because, hey, he can't be lying about what participation is. I don't know, though. That's weird because I know people coming back from injury like, hey, you're not going to play your position, but go take some reps. Go run the carded reps. You're a wide out. You can maybe run some 75 % routes and see how you feel. Yeah, but I don't think if you're a starter, you could be listed as a limited participant is what – or as a full participant. You have to be listed as a limited participant because you're on scout team, not on starting team.

2:44:33Pat McAfee:I get it now. I get it. We just learned this. Just learned this through the Lamar Jackson situation. Thank you, Lamar. Thank you, Lamar. Thank you, Lamar. And the NFL getting the bottom of it because we need more accurate information when we're making these picks. Yeah. It's not just us. A lot of people try to make these picks. And then are the – a lot of stuff coming out about what happened in basketball and then what happened over in Turkish soccer. Oh, not good. The soccer one's a little under the radar. Well, we certainly saw it because it involved a lot of people and certainly a sport we cover on a regular basis.

2:45:05There's other basketball people involved too. It seems like we're just – we're at the beginning.

2:45:10Pat McAfee:Oh, tip of iceberg. We'll get to the ball. Yeah. I don't love that. No, it sucks actually. Yeah, it does suck. I don't like that that's – And even people that may be completely innocent and just popped into something, their name might get dragged into it, too. You always mention that whenever there's other things talked about. The Epstein thing I have said that about. Like, hey, there has to be some people. I assume there's some naive people that showed up and thought, hey, let me talk ball and physics with this guy. And then all of a sudden, bam, there he is. And he'd get out of there. And you're saying that same thing here in this situation.

2:45:43I'm saying in the card game, that could happen.

2:45:45Pat McAfee:Yeah, because there could be people at card games that are actually getting taken. Yeah, that's what I'm saying, the victims. I think there's another round that's going to come where I think a victim of one of these games is going to be accused of actually rigging the game. And then that person's going to have to come out and say, no, actually, I lost$250 ,000 I lost in this entire thing. I'm actually the victim in this entire thing. I think there's a chance that that's going to start happening. Because there's going to be a lot of potential misconstruing of information. But also, maybe it's over.

2:46:10Pat McAfee:Maybe that's all they got. Could be. Maybe that's all they got. Hopefully. Maybe. Hopefully for the good of sport. That's all it is. You like the Chiefs or the Bills? I like the Chiefs here.

2:46:24Pat McAfee:Give me the Chiefs. I couldn't pick the Chiefs last week because you did. Chiefs rolled out running back Isaiah Pacheco and Josh Simmons for Sunday's game at Buffalo. I'll take the Buffalo Bills. What can I get them at? Buffalo Bills plus two. They always win the regular season one. It does seem to be that way. It's always a close game, too. Two points could be a one-point game. What's the weather like? Are we having any situations? Is it getting cold and windy and anywhere? I think it's still like 50 and sunny in the Northeast. I don't know about Rochester. It will be a thing later on, obviously.

2:46:56It will.

2:46:57Pat McAfee:Yeah, not for the Chiefs, though. The Chiefs are – their stadium's ass, too. I mean, they get cold as hell. Remember the Dolphins? That was when it all kind of started around. Yeah, people's fingies fell off. Remember when Coach McDaniel came to the old studio? Yeah, that was cool, man. That was great. We believed from the moment. We did. He came in. We liked the way his attitude was. Still do. Loved it. He kind of felt like an outlaw. You know, just kind of his own man, his own being. Wasn't going to change for anybody. And last night he's chewing people out. It's like, yeah, he's got a little fire in there too.

2:47:26Pat McAfee:He's fired up. Who's that? Coach. Well, that's the old question. The question is, if they move on from him, does he get another head coaching opportunity anytime soon? No. No? I don't think so. Well, I guess Hulkster's seen the future. He's got a coordinator. Thank you, Hulkster, for that. You bet. They talked about that at the Football Gods meeting. And then, so we're both on the Chiefs. And then Seattle Seahawks taking on the Washington Commanders Sunday night football. Two and a half point favorites for the Seattle Seahawks. Is there any other lines out there, Tom? Yeah, if you want the Commanders, you can get three.

2:47:57Pat McAfee:Okay. AJ, Washington Commanders at home getting three points. Or Seattle Seahawks favored by two and a half on the road. Go ahead, Con. I believe Jaden Daniels is playing Terry McLaurin out. Okay, Terry McLaurin, no. So, Commanders announcing Jaden Daniels will start. Yes. How's that change anything you're saying? The Seattle Seahawks team, very good at the football, have had massive wins on the road on a very regular basis under this McDonald coach. I think he won like his first nine or ten away games, and I still don't know if that streak is going right this moment. I should know better about this point of the season.

2:48:29Pat McAfee:But Seattle's real deal, and they're going into Washington as two-and-a-half point favorites. AJ, who do you like? How do you like it? So I'm fully on the Seattle Seahawks bandwagon. JSN, Sam Darnold. I love what they're doing. I think their defense flies around. Give me Seattle. I will take the...

2:48:50It's hard because I love Dan Quinn and Jaden and what they do, but I just, man, Seattle, they got something to them. They're wearing their throwbacks. Seattle's wearing theirs. Like these, what we see right here? No, no, like the real throwbacks, like Chantel. They're bringing back the old logo and everything.

2:49:04Pat McAfee:Hulkster, how are you? Washington is. Do you know? How accurate or what, dude? Washington's bringing back their old logos. That's what this guy just said. Is that right? It's throwback night? Yeah, yeah, they're letting him. How likely is this telling the truth to us? Because I made a shot that said steal a Super Bowl. Remember? I do remember that. As it stands, you're looking at about 78 % chance that they're going in, dude. Okay, not just going in, but telling the truth. If I was to shoot this and say, hey, this is for Seattle minus two and a half or whatever, and it goes in. How likely is that to be a factual piece of information from the basketball gods, football gods, or just St.

2:49:39Pat McAfee:Peter, Jesus Christ, and big man as a whole? Unfortunately, it's only about 50 % of the time. It's basically whatever these guys are feeling. Now, I will say, if I get 17, 18 real American beers in these guys, I can kind of push them whichever way I want. So, I like you guys. You know what I mean? You make this thing, let's just say the world is your oyster. Okay, I like that. It sounds like the Seahawks minus two and a half.

2:50:07Oh, good.

2:50:09Pat McAfee:All right, I'll take the Commanders. Okay, dude. Plus three. I think that's what that is for me this game. Yeah. Either team could be really good. I think Seattle's more consistently good. Give them the Seahawks. I'll take the Seattle Seahawks minus two and a half, actually. That's what I got as well. It looks like they are 10-1 on the road under McDonald and nine in a row. Okay, yeah, so give me them. What is that? That's got to be a record. No, I mean, I would assume other coaches come to him like, hey, why are you so good on the road? What are you doing? Yeah, locking out. Just locking out the outside noise.

2:50:40Pat McAfee:I guess. They treat every game like a bowl week, brother. Every week is a celebration. How is that Hulkster? How do they win on the road and other teams are poop on the road? Their coach is a fucking psycho, for one. I wouldn't want to see that guy in a square circle. He was like a mean son of a bitch. But like the kind of guy who everybody still respects him. They still love him. but you don't want to cross that guy. You know, that might be a guy I'd like to get drunk with and get into a bar fight with. You know, maybe he'd have my back. He's a good coach. I mean, what else do you want me to say?

2:51:11Take chemistry.

2:51:14Pat McAfee:Happy Halloween, Hawkster. Happy Halloween. Happy Halloween to all you guys as well, dude. All right, let's get the hell out of here. AJ, thanks for traveling out. Good to see you, Ed. Thank you. Good to see you. All right, be a friend. Tell a friend something nice. It might change your life. We're in this thing together. Big one tomorrow morning in Utah. Can't wait to get out there. Can't wait to get a trick-or-treat with the baby girl. Fuck yeah, dude. It's going to be so cool. All right, let's enjoy this all, shall we? See you guys on Over Reaction Monday. Have an incredible weekend of ball.

2:51:37Pat McAfee:And hopefully they'll get their deal done. Get the deal done. Get the deal done. Nobody's really talking about it. A lot of people head over there for Sunday ticket because it's currently on YouTube TV. Quad Box, made for sports fans. Bread Zone channel over there. A lot of football fans over there. I assume YouTube TV knows that. So going into a weekend with a lot of ball, It's like, let's figure that out. We need to figure that out. I don't know who's, you know, holding it all up. I don't know which side's which. I'm seeing messages from people saying, hey, do you go to this website, do something.

2:52:10Pat McAfee:I don't know if that helps with negotiating. It does. It's a waste of time. Hulkster, you don't know. Heavenly Hulkster, you don't know. I guess you do now. I do. We got real good fiber up in heaven. I was like, this is weird, dude. Why are we, you know, beholden to have to have, like, YouTube TV up here. You got like Jesus TV or something where we don't have commercials, don't have any of that stuff. To me, sounds like we got two greedy corporate fat cats, and it's time for them to put their swords down because if we don't have football on Saturday, there's going to be bedlam, brother. We need it.

2:52:44Pat McAfee:Be a friend. Tell a friend something nice. It might change your life. We're in this thing together for sports. Never forget it. We appreciate you all. Team on me. Anything you say, AJ? Better one next week. Good one today. Better one next week. Hawks or anything to say? Yes, you dickhead, not me. Team on three. One, two, three, team. Goodbye.
