In short

Grayson Hart argues that the “material world” isn’t the problem; living from the heart (openness, connection, love) rather than the intellect/ego (concepts, indoctrination, scarcity) is. He claims peace, freedom, and happiness come from inner wholeness, not external validation or chasing outcomes. He frames fear as illusion and love as truth, and says the key question in any moment is “Am I coming from love or fear?”

Guest backgrounds

Grayson Hart is a former rugby player (played professionally, including Glasgow Warriors; later contracted with the Auckland Blues). He also built “Pure Sport,” focused on natural supplements. He discusses his upbringing: parents separated when he was very young; his father struggled with drug addiction; he describes poverty and later personal hardships including heartbreak, divorce, and his father’s death at 21.

Key claims

Indoctrination comes via education/media/government; success pursued as identity becomes an endless “goose chase.” Coaches and athletes should avoid fear-based control; fear creates tension and worsens performance. True love requires being able to lose what you love; heartbreak can catalyze self-reclamation.

Notable examples

Einstein’s “tool vs sacred gift” framing; Bob Marley and John Lennon as heart-aligned prophets; Finn Russell’s fearless, playful rugby style; Verne Cotter’s aggressive coaching contrasted with Finn’s freedom; Hart’s own heartbreak and a claimed hip-stretching release tied to trauma.

0:00Grayson Hart, welcome to the show. It's good to be here. Thanks for having me. Why do you think it's so important to live from your heart? From my perspective, it's so important to live from the heart because we live in a world that has fed us so much information, so many concepts that are registered by our intellect. and what I've come to see for myself is that the intellect is a tool to navigate the material world and our heart is our true self and I think I never get the quote right but Albert Einstein said something along the lines of we've become a species that our intellect is a tool and our intuition is a sacred gift we've become so attached to the tool that we've overlooked the gift and i think our heart is openness it's possibility it's expansiveness it's connection it's love um and you know the day-to-day material world is about navigating life within the material world but the heart is the totality of all that is so yeah from my perspective man the more we can let go of the concepts of the mind and drop into the heart, the more we live in line with the truth, with love, with freedom.

1:22Yeah, the intellect is a tool for the external world, for the material world. I love that saying. It's a weird one because most of the time we're striving externally and we're striving to achieve success in the material world, which isn't a bad thing. We're still living in this society. And so it's important that we can still strive and achieve it and win that game in a sense. But the moment you define yourself by that and you are only deeming yourself to be successful when you're winning at those things, it's a very slippery slope because your idea of success in that world only expands the more you achieve.

2:05And so you actually never reach that thing. so then if if the if the intellect is what helps you thrive in that world what are some of the things that help you thrive internally and what are some of the things that we can access outside of intellect is it is it making that soul lead the way and using your heart or what do you think from that perspective and what's helped you yeah well what i think the intellect is a profound And I think it's amazing. It's more so when it's utilized in alignment with the truth. When we get caught up believing all the concepts that we're fed about how the world works.

2:45From my perspective, a lot of the indoctrination we receive is through education, the media, and these are governments and stuff. And these are all systems that are, from my perspective, are designed for a small group of people to have control and power and gain materially, whilst the rest stay as like pawns to their game. And the more that the people believe those perspectives, the more we stay stuck as a collective. whereas the intellect is profound when utilized in alignment with what's true and what's actually real because like our design is perfect as human beings like you know from what I can see in life like we're one of the most profound species that I've come across like in terms of the way we are able to communicate connect um create like i think we're amazing it's just obviously when we get caught up looking from out to in for our value we become you know obsessed with striving for more more more and like you said um it's a it's a beautiful gift to wake up from the fact wake up to the fact that like nothing no material gain in this world will ever bring you peace love freedom and happiness that's inside game and it's actually innate like we it's our very essence um and yeah i'm not sure if that answers your question but i think the more that we start to question the status quo and turn our exploration from like out there in the material world by gaining x y and z in order to be okay which is what the mind or the ego the intellect tells us from this these concepts that we take on board and we park that and we turn the attention inward to this awareness at the background this presence this being which is always there and if you explore that and you ask yourself like what is the nature of the awareness in which all my thoughts feelings and experience arise, you don't find an edge to it.

5:06It's never been harmed. It's never been tarnished. It's never lacking. It's infinite. It's love. It's oneness. It's connection. And then you start to be like, damn, like dudes like Bob Marley and John Lennon and like, you know, these people were profound prophets of our time because they were using the intellect and alignment with the heart to express truth and love. and possibility, you know, rather than, then there's other artists and people out there with notoriety and success in the material world. And if you really observe from a place of presence, their energy and their words and what they're offering, a lot of it's coming from a place of scarcity, which is like, you're not enough as you are.

5:54They're not necessarily saying this through the words, but what they're putting out to the world is, you're not whole, you're not complete, you're not enough. Do this, follow this, buy this, and you'll be better. And then if you believe that, you're going to be in this cycle forever. Constantly chasing. Yeah. Yeah, I've heard you say before around, and I say it, and you probably say it in some version of this, but the less you chase, the more you receive, and the less you are constantly feeling like you need to look externally to be reminded of how good you are is a sign that you don't actually think you're very good.

6:34And so being able to check in with yourself every time you feel like you're chasing money, chasing women, chasing everything external, it's a good sign that internally you're not probably all in check. You haven't checked in enough where you're so sure within yourself that you actually have come to the realization that you don't need anything. It's funny, I actually wrote in my journal, 11th of March, so what, a few days ago, I said, I've got this little book and we're going to read some stuff through yours. We've got our book. I said, I've been on a goose chase just to find out what was already here.

7:10Yeah. When you reach outwardly, it's fun but fleeting. Like the Arctic's dawn, where the sun sets almost as soon as it rises. All goose chases end in the same spot, if they ever end. Damn, you wrote that? Yeah. That's amazing. I love that. You need to publish a poetry book. I want to finish this book and then sell it because I think it'll be cool. That's amazing. But I think the thing that I wrote there and, you know, not everyone will understand what I wrote and that's okay because I wrote it in the way that I understood it. But for me, the thing that I'm realizing is it's fun to reach external, but it's fleeting.

7:53you reach external you get praise you get slammed on your face you get back up you keep going you change plans you change goals but it's fun it's still a process but the problem is it never ends yeah yeah it's it's a constant goose chase yeah and a lot of people chase it so much and they get blessed with this calling to slow the fuck down yeah and then they get that that that gift and then they act on it. Yeah. And so they, they all, they all goose chases end in the same spot. If it ever ends, if it ends, it ends in the same spot, which is looking inwardly, looking towards universe, God, whatever it might be, a spiritual aspect of your life gets invited in the moment you stop the goose chase.

8:39And it's not about not thriving in this 3d world, but it's about doing it with intention and doing it. That's aligned with you. So you don't, you, you, you want something instead of need it. you can still go get it but if you don't have it you're okay yeah i think that's a free start point and the end point like i love life i love nice things like you know i love i spend a grand on these sunglasses i'm wearing a rolex but not because i want any validation it's like i've i really appreciate them like i feel grateful that i can have nice things and enjoy them as an expression of myself. If I don't before I had any of these things or like without them, I'm the exact same being.

9:28And that's what allows me to appreciate them for what they are and what they're designed for. Rather than seeking things to validate myself, to receive validation from the external world, you're building your castle on sand. You know, like if your foundations of the knowing of who you are aren't solid within yourself, knowing that I am whole and complete here and now with no validation, with no nothing in the material world, just me, my inner knowing of my being. Then without that knowing of that foundation, all that we go out and achieve and attain is the source of insecurity. Because you believe that if you don't have it, you're not enough.

10:17Because your start point was the belief that you need to get it to be enough. So you're walking around like, man, I've met so many people through my journey as a rugby player and then through business. People that had a lot of money, a lot of notoriety, a lot of amazing things. And I would not trade any part of my being for their day-to-day reality. because the energy that I felt and experienced and the behaviors that I observed from these people, it's built upon insecurity. It's built upon an image. And if you're living via an image that is being offered to the world as like this image is who I am, that's the source of insecurity.

11:05But that's the world that we live in. We're bred to operate that way. But that's why we stay in a rat race and a system that keeps us trapped because it's never enough because it never can be the source of fulfillment. So like take yourself back to when you're a child, you know, like the amount of fun and joy and freedom and love and potential that you expressed with no outcome in mind, just from a place of wholeness. because you hadn't been yet indoctrinated about these concepts of you have to do this in order to be good enough. You were just expressing your pure potential with freedom and love.

11:46And also, failure wasn't a thing. Like I think back to when I was a little kid playing rugby. When I, up until the age of about like 10, I never made a mistake. I never once made a mistake. And the reason being is because I did not have the concept of a mistake. Yeah, I would have dropped the ball and kicked it out on the full and like all that but i was just like wow like you know he's playing the game because the game's the totality and also like sports a great analogy for life it was amazing when i was playing professional sport like because i've always like kept some resonance of this knowing um and but it was tough because then i went into this world of sport where it all was about the outcome and there was a lot of ego and identity and um but i remember you know like play like playing the game and just the way that they would go on about errors or mistakes or dropping the ball in training and they'd be like boys like focus like when someone would drop the ball like switch on and like stuff like that and i'll be sitting there like making people focus more and folk and like putting attention on and labeling things a mistake is not helpful you know and then if you zoom out even further from a bigger picture perspective you can't play a game of sport without what they call mistakes like that's the game so why are we trying to control and dictate and define what how a game is designed in order for an outcome and then you're actually by doing that you're you're counterintuitive like you look at the best teams in the world that actually have like ongoing success the players are feeling free they're enjoying themselves and then everyone wants to do well at what they apply themselves to so if you're feeling whole and enjoyment and free your natural way of showing up as a human is to apply yourself and give your best to what you're doing so hard work is a byproduct of freedom Yeah.

13:48So it's interesting. The framing around how you're, so the place in which you're operating from when you're acting can unnecessarily add pressure. So as an example, you have coaches screaming down your throat because you dropped the ball. The default thought would be, but that's good because then you know that next time if I drop a ball, I'm going to get yelled at and I don't want to get yelled at. So I'm going to make sure I don't drop the ball. So that's freeing. But then the problem is, is every single time that we're operating out of a state of fear, we're not really tapped into that theta state of our flow state, which is the one that makes Jordan be able to shoot a free throw a thousand times out of a thousand times.

14:34He's not accessing his logical brain. He's tapped fully back into this flowing flow state brain. So maybe the coach drilling down your throat telling you that you're a shit person because you lost us the game or you messed up that thing or you're not training hard enough is only making your outcomes be worse. So I guess it's an ultimately it's about, I'm keen to hear your thoughts on this, it's about trying to find a way to not make them slack off and so finding a way to yourself internally not be complacent on the things that you are truly wanting to get so you're half-arsing things but than also not operating in a state of fear and insecurity but half-assing is a is a by-product of fear and also like if you if a coach is trying to drill down not dropping the ball you are actually creating the energy of dropping the ball you know whereas if you if if you show up from a wholeness and be like, this is the game.

15:38And then you also understand people, bro, no athlete is out there trying to drop the ball and no athlete is out there trying to not be focused. So by you going like that, you're actually just offering the most counterintuitive energy that's getting people more up in their head, out of their heart, out of the moment, out of presence. and therefore you're bound up, you're rigid, you're afraid, you're going to make mistakes. Or if you're not making mistakes, you're playing within yourself and you're never going to see the possibilities, the potential, the gaps, the moment. And yeah, I've come to see within my experience and my observations of life, there's only two emotions, love and fear.

16:28One is true and one is illusion. Love is true, fear is illusion. And in any moment, the most powerful thing we can do is ask ourselves, am I coming from love or fear? And say you're the coach and you ask yourself that, am I coming from love or fear? In that moment, you can completely shift your whole reality to one of truth, one of actual reality and away from illusion. The illusion is that you as the coach need that outcome in order to be okay. So you're projecting that fear onto your players. And by doing that, you're creating limitation and scarcity. From love, you say, oh, everyone's out here doing their best.

17:15This is the game. From showing up with love, your mind clears, insight arises. You might see shifts in the strategy. You might see a sub that you can make that's going to create an impact on the game. you might offer a expression of love and wholeness that gets the boys to be like ah we're in this come on you know like and then from the other side if you're the player we can't control other people's like ways of being like reacting like if you're the player you cannot control the coach's way of operating but you are able to see for yourself what's true And so if a coach comes at you, he's like, like switch on, don't drop the ball.

17:57In that moment, if you feel fear, you can ask yourself, am I coming from love or fear? And then if you go inward to love, which is our essence, the awareness at the background, and you allow that to be your reference point, what you'll see is you have compassion for the coach. You're like, ah, the old bugger thinks that his life's dependent upon the outcome of this game. bless him I have to show up and play the game so therefore I go into love peace freedom infinite abundance and potential and I go and play the game free whereas if I didn't ask myself that question and I operated from his my reaction to his response which was fair I'm rigid and bound I'm like don't make another mistake he's going to pull you out or you're going to stuff up the game for the team and then the more we are able to reflect within ourselves and ask ourselves that question it just starts happening on its own because fear comes with like tension it comes with a speed sped up like thinking breathing you feel you start to notice small like tensions in your body like your jaw your neck your hands and then the more we ask ourselves is this love or fear the more we relax you know and I'll relax relaxed is not like sloppy relax like I'm just going to sit here and sleep and eat junk food relaxed is like present alert awareness and the ability to slow down and see life as it is and it comes back to what you said at the start like when you're chasing man I remember when I was a rugby player when I was chasing things like going after it, being like, I'm going to tear this game up, and I'm going to go after it, and I'm going to do everything, and I was coming at it like tense, like that, I was not a good player, man, I was trying way too hard, I was rigid, I was frustrated, I was, you know, getting, like, not seeing things clear, I was trying to do too much, and then in the moments where I just was let go, present, relaxed, I'm out there, bro, I'm in the arena, You know, life is our arena.

20:10Like we're here to express and enjoy this life that we got and give our best. You know, like that's our default design. It's only getting caught up in the noise of fear that bogs that down and makes us think that we need discipline and drive and hunger and motivation to succeed. That's also an illusion that that world that we spoke about tries to keep us trapped in. because it's not our design to feel hungry, motivated, and disciplined all the time. Our design is to know when to rest and know when to go, you know, and that's intuitive. And there's some days where it's like, well, I just got to chill today, you know, and then there's other days where you think you're chilling, but some mad, like, inspiration just comes to you.

20:56Like, oh, you're on, and it's just happening. All the best things in my life have just happened. I did not try to plan them. I did not calculate them. It was just by relaxing, being present and alert and grateful for life and being, then expansive, open awareness. Everything's possible, man. Then something feels right. You feel excited. You feel joyful. You maybe feel a bit nervous because it's like, wow, this is something. I can try. I can do this. And you just give it a crack. And then the things that don't work out, they're also a blessing, man, because you're like, shit, I gave that a crack.

21:33I learned something amazing. And you know what's possible, what you're able to do. You can take a plunge. And then if it doesn't work, you're like, oh, I'm actually still exactly, I'm good, you know? So I think there's so much that we can understand about ourselves by asking that question, is this love or fear? Yeah, you left space for magic whenever those good moments came in. And I love framing it that way where if you look at all of the best moments in your life, they weren't planned. No. You had to have free space to invite new stuff in. Yeah. And when you're so rigid with your schedule, with your plan, with everything you must do, there's no space.

22:16There's no energy. There's nothing free. So when things are trying to come in, it's like, oh, we're full here. Yeah. We're packed. Wait in the line. Yeah. Wait till some more stuff comes out. Exactly. Yeah. Yeah. Bro, like, that is one thing that has just become so clear to me in this last year. Everyone's trying to attain and get to and push to, like, get the things in life and, you know, life that they dream of. What I've seen is creating the space. Because life, like you said, life is magic. Like, this is magic, man. Like it's only the indoctrinated, recycled, limited views that we've taken on and utilized as a filter through which we see life.

23:03Like say this is a filter of indoctrinated views and it's like limited, scarce. And like by understanding we are not our thoughts, we are the presence in which they arise. and we don't have to believe them all and we can let them come and go like clouds in the sky that's the same as being able to take off that limited lens and being like oh life is all possibility man like it's magic and but yet like we're we're a culture that we're taught we're the mind so we keep on believing the views and by it's it's only believing them that keeps us stuck in them but you don't got to get them to go away as long as we're alive we're going to have thoughts we're going to have insecure thoughts anxious thoughts we're going to have emotions feelings it's like it's like the storms and the clouds in the sky they come and they go but the sky remains pure and untarnished yeah you didn't make mistakes as a kid because you didn't believe in mistakes yeah there's no concept of it it's just like oh okay that's what you're saying before around how there was no mistakes as a kid but that's because you didn't believe in them yeah and you know what one of my favorite dudes to watch play rugby because i don't really enjoy watching rugby no more because i just i don't know i did my time and i i don't love what it's become uh but i still have hope for it to shift but um one of my favorite dudes that i i love watching play rugby is finn russell uh the scottish and british lions number 10 and he plays the game at the highest level like a kid like freedom but but that guy he used to get so I played with Finn at Glasgow Warriors for a couple years he's as professional and applied and driven as anybody but he does it with a freedom he does it with a playfulness he does it truly as himself and he used to get criticized like if they lost or if he made a mistake or something because his demeanor was relaxed.

24:59Like if he dropped the ball, you might see him smiling on the camera or something. And then people perceive that as, oh, he doesn't care. So they try to pinpoint and categorize him as a character that they're projecting onto him. Whereas in fact, all the magic that they love him for, he's able to do freely because the way he shows up in the game, he's not afraid of mistakes you cannot whip a pass over the top of the whole back line um you know like into space that no one else has been able to see the way he can do it uh he'll just whip it out like that no look and he'll just go over the top all these dudes who could have had been intercepted by three guys but he times it perfectly bam the dude just threw the line you can't do that if you're afraid of making a mistake or getting intercepted do you know what me and the way he plays is he allows his true potential to be expressed and in order for that to be the case you're gonna have to make some mistakes you know and if he makes mistakes he's like okay because he's just been blessed with this bigger picture understanding and you know it was cool actually like I always enjoyed my conversations with Finn and he used to tell me about his mum and how his mum very much you know always pointed him to the fact that you know he He was whole and nature has everything that he needs.

26:17And we used to, because I started Pure Sport and it was all about natural supplements. He used to tell me, yeah, man, I've always been on it like this, man. My mom used to teach me all this. My mom taught me about utilizing natural over like pharmaceuticals. And so it kind of makes sense to me the way he is and how he shows up in the game, because it's a blessing in this life to be surrounded by loved ones and parents when, you know, when we're children who remind us that we're already complete, that we're whole, life is fun, we have infinite potential, there's nothing to fear, you know, because the world we live in is kind of trying to tell us the opposite.

26:57Yeah. Yeah, you've referenced a lot about the child and back to that younger version of you, and you said that you were pretty tapped in as a young kid and then rugby made you realize and bring to the forefront this nature of outcome focus and being able to focus solely on the outcome, the external, and potentially it took you a little bit further away from your natural state. Talk to me about the progression of you growing up and talk to me about when you've had this deep calling to go within a lot more and be who you are today. Because obviously you've thrived and achieved so much great things in the external world with pure sport and with everything that you're building now.

27:43And it'd be interesting to hear the progression of how you've been from the state of consciousness and, yeah, through the phases of your life, what's changed. Yeah, I mean, the more time I've had on this earth and this lifetime, you know, I've, like, been able to more consciously reflect on, like, the journey and, you know, I've had different experiences and different insights and um i i i don't i obviously don't want to like over conceptualize and like put concepts into people's mind but from my experience i do think that we have multiple lifetimes and every time you you go through a journey of self-discovery and understanding and whatever way that that path is um and I don't know man I feel like somehow on this part of the journey I think I must have been through quite a few lifetimes because there's been plenty of like hardships, but I've always just faced them with love and like a knowing that everything's okay and that there's nothing in this reality that can break me.

29:07And I look at my life in this lifetime as a blessing, like, and whereas, you know, maybe some other people would look at some of the experiences and circumstances as like damn that shit was bad or heavy or dark um but I feel that life's given me challenges blessings hardships opportunities all as an opportunity to sit and reflect and be like so who am I and what does that what what does that mean to me um and And yeah, I mean, like growing up, my parents was, they divorced or separated when I was like, I don't know, two years old. My dad struggled with drug addiction and my mom, you know, she had her own traumas and things that she had gone through as a child that I now understand as to, you know, maybe how and why she showed up the way she did as a mother in those early years.

30:12and all of those experiences they've helped me to understand more clearly who I am and how I can let go of any energies and patterns and beliefs that aren't true and that do not serve me. And seeing my dad go through what he did with addiction and I love my dad so much and he was the most amazing man and someone that I always will, you know, I'm blessed and I still feel his presence with me so strongly every day. And what I learned from him, you know, I remember, you know, we grew up very poor. We lived in a council house and my dad didn't have a job and we were, you know, struggling to get by.

30:57But I just remember love, happiness, generosity, fun, realness. and then also, you know, I do remember like times where things were like pretty heavy and sad, like if my dad was very down and like, you know, being a young kid and you just wanted your dad to be okay and you wanted him to be happy and so there was definitely challenges and hardships, but things like that even taught me later on in life that you cannot be responsible for anyone else's happiness, not even the ones you love the most. You cannot make yourself in the material world responsible for someone else's happiness. The truth is, going within to our wholeness, to the knowing of our love and completeness, that is the shining light that the world needs.

31:48And to be able to put that into practice with those closest to us, that's a great test, because the family and friends that are closest to us, that's the belief that we need to be able to pull them up. But the way to pull anyone up is knowing that you can't pull them up, living from love, moving forward, allowing love to express itself the way that it will, and knowing that if it's their journey and their path in this lifetime to understand that wholeness and completeness, you are blessing them by living it yourself because otherwise we get bogged down by those around us. When really our journey, every individual's journey in life is to live your wholeness, live your complete infinite love in this lifetime.

32:33And you cannot do that if you think you're responsible for everyone else around you. Yeah. And it's important to not be responsible for other people's happiness, but it's even more important as well to not make someone else responsible for your happiness. If we go back to the coach, right? there's the state of victim and extreme ownership and if we were to play that lens out in the rugby coach as an example the coach screams at you for dropping the ball you could then go the coach is doing the wrong job he's made me operate out of a state of fear and he has been the reason why now i can't focus and catch the ball as much yeah but there's zero control there you can't even control any of it.

33:21Finn's a great example of like, he's dealing with coaches like that. Bro, Verne Cotter was a mad angry guy as the Scotland coach, but Finn was still tearing it up because he had an innate understanding that like his mood and perspective on life ain't going to dictate how I live life. And then also when you know you're whole and complete, you don't live life being like, I need them to want me in order to be okay. Knowing you're whole and complete means that you know deep down inside that if you were to go out on your own and be apart from certain people that you know you've been connected with and have relationships with that you are okay you are perfect your capacity for infinite love and abundance and enjoyment of life is within you and I think relationships are such an amazingly profound opportunity in this lifetime to see that and I think particularly what I can speak as a man like so much of our way of showing up and what we look for in a relationship is impacted by the experiences that we have with our parents you know and like what experience for example like what experiences I had grown up with my mom and what I understood of love from my mother definitely impacted how I showed up in relationships, what I was seeking.

34:52And until we, I think, and you've got to go through the hardships of challenging relationships and heartbreak and also be able to be brave enough and willing enough and aware enough to face those feelings and those confronting emotions and realities to free yourself from them. And I've always loved women. I've loved beautiful women. I think beautiful women are the greatest gift from nature. but like until you see yourself as whole and complete you are not going to seize the true beauty and gift of of woman and you're not going to be able to show up in a way that you can be in this world what they deserve and what they want to need uh not even as a man to your partner but just as a man in the world, like to show up with an understanding of like the energy and the dynamic between men and women, the masculine and the feminine, to understand that within yourself and then be able to show up into the world with that, like that's a gift, man.

36:17And women need that. Like they want that. They want good, honest, well-intentioned men to show up and love and appreciate them just as they are. And that's what allows their full potential to shine through. And we live in a world right now, man, that based upon the concepts of the material world that have been rammed down into our minds and believed by the majority, you got men who are masquerading as men who are still little boys because i've never looked at and faced themselves truly and felt the feelings and been confronted with the patterns and the fears and the insecurities that they've you know come up with i've been you know like their experiences have conditioned them into and by never sitting and facing it you know we run from it and what's the way to run from it you follow the concept of the material world which has become more become stronger become more successful gain more things and again that comes back to what we started with that's the source of insecurity but the material world will say oh yeah a man has this this this and this and looks like this so we build up all the outward things but inside we're weak and we're small but outside we want to look big and strong and then if you're weak and small on the inside but on the outside want to look big and strong you're going to go out there and you're going to you're going to hurt women you're going to betray women you're going to break their trust and and men you're also going to harden them and you know make them feel like they got to be out here on their own protecting themselves like we as men should be like, wow, they're our divine gift from God.

38:09Like, let's protect them. You know, all of them, not like just the one we love. Um, and let's fucking call out that bro who's treating that one like, you know, the way she shouldn't be treated. Um, but I feel in order to come to understand that you gotta be willing to face it, man. You gotta, you'll be honest with yourself. You gotta be willing to like fucking cry and shit and like see things about yourself and your experiences and life that you can now let go of you know and then you also realize when you do face them and feel them and let them go you you realize that everything in life was a blessing because if if you had experiences that caused you to operate in a certain way that was a limited version of yourself and then you woke up to that fact via just getting fucking over that same experience because life will keep you in the same cycles until you're willing to face it and release it so then when you're tired of those cycles and you face it and then you release it and you see the world through new eyes you see that everything in your life was a blessing you know the mom who maybe wasn't able to love you the way that she that that you know you would want a child to be loved by a mom she is she is a blessing for the universe because that boy then questioned himself, woke up, and became a man that the world needed.

39:31So it's like there's no mistakes in nature. This stuff's profound. I'm going to have a stream of consciousness and see how we can piece this all together, but I've got something interesting. So really, if we think about it, without beautiful women, there's no way men that are conscious and aware enough would even strive for a lot of the 3D stuff, really. Like a lot of the external world is only, we're only motivated so we can attract the dream gorgeous woman that we want in our life. That's going to be the mother to our children. It's going to be able to be our person that we do life with. So we strive in the 3D world and in the material world so that we can impress the woman that we want.

40:20but when we're operating in the 3D world, we hurt the women that we want, which means we're not going to keep them. So then we lose the women that we want and go back to striving to even more so that we can grow beyond them and attract another woman that we want. But we're still operating in this world of materialism and we're going to keep going around in circles where we attract a woman, hurt a woman, single. Attract a woman, hurt a woman, single. Make a bit more money, get slammed on your face, you know, and not really hit things front on. But as weird as this may sound, we kind of need to walk that walk to realize it.

41:04And then we get slammed with this feeling of, oh shit, I got work to do. And so the heartbreak time and time again shapes you when you look within. because there's two things you could, again, tie into that victim or the ownership piece. You can get heartbroken, hurt a woman, make them hard, and say it's their fault. She was crazy. Nah, dude, you were crazy, man. Fix your shit. And so then even if she was crazy, it's not a productive conversation to say that she's crazy. So the moment we have the courage and all of the pieces that are operating in fear and insecurity and stuff is the only thing that separates that from all of the great things is courage.

41:51And then we have the courage to look within and go, hang on now, like, I'm not no perfect person. Let's see what I did wrong here. So I can make sure I don't do that again in the next one. The more times we do that and we look within and we reflect through the heartbreak, through potentially even hurting people, through, you know, figuring this thing we call life out we then become the person that our dream partner is attracted to and that partner's not even feeling like she needs all of the things in the 3d world because you're the man that she actually needs because the the man is the presence it's not the out to in and then and then like we said before the designers if you're if you're your true self bro, you're going to succeed in this material world in whatever way that success looks like that's true to you.

42:42Because you're seeing yourself and life as its actual reality. And our design, we're of nature. There's no mistakes. When we are our true self, we're here to do good. Life is good. Life is a blessing. Life is beautiful. And it's nature. So when we face things and the point you make is the most perfect one like the come back to the thing at the start the intellect will always look out to in it'll point the finger and even if it's subtly it'll be like there'll be some underlying thing like that was that happened to me because of that that and that whereas everything in life is an opportunity for us to see ah like what is the blessing and opportunity in this for me what is there for me to see um and man like the most profound shifts in my life have come off the back of like really devastating things in the material world because they they force me to sit there and be like who am i like because all that's going on out there in the material world it ain't unfolding the way that my mind would like it to.

43:54So therefore, whereas I'm here for good, I'm here for love, that is who I am. So where do I find that? I go inside. And we go inside, your whole perspective of the outer reality shifts. Because everything is for you, nothing is against you in this life. Only the intellect, the ego, the mind will say that's against me. Everything is for you. like my my own father dying at 21 I can truly say in my heart that was a huge blessing um I was married for eight years divorced and that was a huge blessing uh I at the age of 21 was contracted for three years for my dream team Auckland Blues growing up got into trouble after my dad died, got into fights, got fired.

44:47Felt like an absolute hero to zero. Huge blessing in my life. Even something like, you know, I always dreamed of becoming an international rugby player. I remember the moment I made my international rugby debut, sitting in that changing room, just being like, damn, this is what I strive for? Like my whole childhood and life? Like there's got to be more to life than, this ain't the feeling I thought I'd feel when I achieved it. And even that's a beautiful blessing to be like, no outcome will cause you or take away what's already within you. And the only place to see it is in you. And yeah, man, like a year and a half ago or so, however long ago it was, when my last relationship, we broke up.

45:38And I really was feeling heartbreak. and it was a blessing. It was an opportunity to say to life, reveal to me anything and everything that no longer serves me, allow me to face it and feel it and release it. And then it's what you're saying, space. Space is the place in which magic arises. So I saw in that moment that there was, the reason I had gone through that experience of heartbreak and was going through it was because there was things deep down buried in my subconscious that were ready to be released but if I had have gone continuing down the path of I was going to find a new missus to replace it I'm going to go out drinking and partying and get with girls and you know all these things and chase things in the material world to distract myself and validate myself which I very easily could have, which is what I would have done when I was younger, I would have never received the blessing of understanding and releasing.

46:43But this time I sat there and I was like, I would pray in the morning. I'd be like, universe, please, whatever you've got for me in this day, any experience, any thought, any feeling, any emotion, bring it to me. And I promise you, I'm going to face it front on. I'm not going to distract. I'm not going to hide. I'm not going to run. and then I would truly with like genuine like truth to it I'd be like bring it you know the same way I'd go out there when I was a professional rugby player you got to step on that field and go into the mobile like yeah come on bring it we on here you know and I'd say life bring it to me and I knew that that meant like different frustrations different interactions different feelings and you know what started to happen songs would come on and they'd make me cry and then insights would arise about things that I'd held on to.

47:36I would stop resisting the image of the girl that I broke up because I didn't want her to be in my awareness because it would make me feel sad or whatever I'd feel or down. And I welcomed it and I'd face it. And you know what? It all started to alchemize into love. Everything was love. I was like, oh, wow. Thank you, beautiful girl, for coming into my life and the ups and downs that we faced, all of it was a blessing. You were a blessing. Life brought you to me. I do love you and I always love you. Thank you for this experience, for that experience. And through that, through love, it started to release all these, because without facing it and trying to avoid it, what then your mind does to protect itself, it points the finger.

48:28You're the victim. You blame. You make excuses. you, you know, you bad mouth and you're within yourself, that person, none of that's true. Like everything is a blessing. All is for you. Nothing is against you. So, and then, you know, like I started like stretching and stuff and like, I'll be like down at Venice beach stretching in the morning. And then I started to realize like there was tension in my hips, for example, and I started stretching my hips and I would end up holding these stretches for like 10 minutes straight. and then like i'd release the stretch and i'd surrender so much to it that i'd like start like lengthening out like tendons and ligaments and fascia and all this and then i'd come up the stretch and it'd be such a profound release that like it was like energy shooting out and then when the energy was shoot out it was almost like this like channel from of consciousness would open up and it'd be like you're releasing the trauma of your mother's sexual abuse like a clear-cut voice like that and like I had all these profound experiences by surrendering and facing life front on and allowing myself to the space to do the things that we should do for ourselves yet the mind and its conditioned ideas about getting to an outcome will always avoid like like your mind as a man am I 37 year old man I got business to do I got like friends I got family i got you know whatever you know like even the mind would say oh you're way bit off going to do some pull-ups then stretching your your hips down at the beach for an amount of time that i'd lost track of but i'm telling you opening up the space to let go of your mind's seeking and outcomes and pursuits and allowing the present moment to guide you even though the narrative of the mind will be like wanting to go and do shit if you really surrender to the moment life will bring you the insights that are for you and it will give you the insights into like things that are good for your body good for your mind just good for life and because it's all already available like you look I mean I started when I left pure sport had this time and space and I started stretching and I'd start just intuitively doing stuff in line with like the breath and stretching and that.

50:52And then I was like, oh, this is how they made up yoga like thousands of years ago. There was just bros out there doing intuitive stuff that was true to them. And then they created the theories of yoga. And then it became like, oh, we're going to share that with people. But then see again what the mind does. It likes to conceptualize it, take it from out to in and look what yoga has become in the Western world now. It's about looking down with dog and like yoga, Lululemon tights. and putting pictures up on Instagram. Not all of it, but something that is a true innate expression of just living in alignment with your true self and freeing your body to be in alignment with consciousness and all that is.

51:36It's become an out-turn concept of, oh, look at my identity, I'm a yogi. Yeah, it's external and everything's becoming external. So the power is being able to constantly check in with yourself. A common theme of everything you've been talking about the last little bit has been this nature of looking within and going, whatever comes up, I'm going to face. I'm going to hit. You said before all of that, that you said that the heartbreak was a blessing. How did you arrive at that? because there's a lot of people that definitely would struggle to resonate with how that could be a blessing how is heartbreak a blessing i think there's two parts to that um the first part is like what an absolute blessing to feel so deeply like i think when i was younger and i i've like i i think throughout my life i've had like five girlfriends you know like from the age of like 13 and then one including the girl that I married.

52:44And every single one of them I loved so much. Like I really loved them. And then when we would break up, whether it was my decision or theirs, you know, like growing up, like I didn't know how to face and allow those feelings so I would run from them and I would just distract and avoid. Whereas this time around I was like, wow what a blessing it is to feel so deeply you know like because in order to love fully you gotta love in a way that it could be taken away because if you love clinging and trying trying to believe that that's yours forever you could like you're gonna operate from insecurity control scarcity attachment and that's the very thing that like runs a relationship into the ground um so in order to love fully you gotta be able to be able to sit with the reality of heartbreak and that's the kind of like i guess gangstanness of true love it's like if you want to love fully you got to also be willing to lose it you know otherwise it's not true love and also you got to know the fact that they're not yours.

54:03They do not belong to you. It's a choice. Everything in this life is a choice. Both sides, whether you're married or not, they're choosing to be there. And if you believe that it's an obligation, you're operating from a limited place. And that's also, I think, the track of marriage in this day and age. I think so many people get married and then the concept of marriage gets in the way of the truth of the love. And then they think they're obliged and locked in. And then you take for granted the love and it becomes attachment and expectation. And then that becomes, that's not love. Attachment and expectation is not love.

54:43Love is unconditional. Love is true. Love is free. Love is, you're choosing to be there and you're choosing to show up as the best version of yourself in order to be what you know you should be. to bring your side of the table to that yin and yang. And then, yeah, that heartbreak was a blessing to understand that more clearly because when I really was honest with myself, I lost myself in relationships and I expected the, how would you say it? And I think it happens to a lot of people in relationships, like you fall in love and you forget that there's two people that are two separate individuals.

55:38And in order to maintain the optimal life that you know is for you, you have to walk your path as an individual. You cannot sacrifice your path for that person in the relationship. if you sacrifice your own path and your own purpose in life for the relationship you're weakening yourself and a weak self is never going to be whole within a relationship and then by weakening yourself you're going to rely on your partner to try and make you feel whole and then that's expectation and attachment and that's a downward spiral so it showed me that Love is within, it's already whole. And then like we spoke about, life is fun, life is a blessing.

56:29So we get to express that wholeness in a relationship with a beautiful woman. What a gift. It's a mirror to be like, this is my wholeness, I see your wholeness. We get to share that together and remind each other. And the way to remind each other is you walk the path of truth. and if you walk your path of truth your expression of love is coming from wholeness rather than the blessing of that heart rate was to show me my whole life I'd been giving myself away sacrificing my path because I really believed that the love of a woman was going to make me feel whole because I grew up in a way that I didn't receive the love that I needed as a child from my mum because that was the path that was the journey and that was the blessing uh to see that and understand that and then be able to articulate it i'm 37 years old now i'm never looking back man you know i ain't saying i'm going to get it right all the time but my default is shit like i can now understand myself in a way that when i'm losing myself that's on me that's not like oh like you're not making me feel good or like, you know, or the ability to look myself in the mirror and be like, are you your truest whole self right now?

57:47Or are you a weakened version that's seeking love from a woman to make you feel whole? Because if that's what you're doing, one, you're not offering your true service to the world, which is to show up as a man in your fullest expression, regardless of what's going on around you and be like, all right, laugh, what you got for me? You know, you're weak. You're showing up being like, come on, baby, I really need you to rub my back and make me food in order for me to be okay. You know? And then that's weakening her. And a woman wants a man that's like, we've got this, baby, come follow me. We're good.

58:22We're always going to be fine. You know? Like, because look at nature, and this is not a disrespect to women. This to me is actually an appreciation for women. And if you look at nature, men are the stronger physically in terms of nature. Say we're this wild species out in nature, which in reality we actually are on this planet. Whether we like it or not, with all the concepts we have and all the technological advancements and all that, we're still just another wild species out here on this planet. men are the stronger, more physically capable and we also have the ability to harm women so therefore our job within nature is to show up and protect them and provide a feeling of safety and security just with our energy just with our way of being and by doing that we allow them to surrender soften, go into their true feminine which is absolutely powerful, just as powerful as the masculine, but it's a different expression.

59:34It's caring, it's loving, it's soft, you know, but within that caring, loving, softness is true power and strength, but it's expressed in the feminine way. So if we're not able to show up as our full self as a man, like we're, by doing that, we're weakening the woman in the world. so I just think like all of those experiences have been blessings to understand and come to that clarity and now my path in life is to continue to walk that and when I falter be able to be like come on boy get back on that path you know because this is life you know it's like dropping the ball in a game and then you're getting being yourself up and getting down and you're a victim to the world and you believe the coach was anger and shit and then then you wake up and you're like ah shit I just gotta play the game as me just give it my all and show up and you know sure let's go you know yeah even just I think about all of the most life-changing moments in my life most of which were during heartbreak it's like the the lowest times like heartbreak that you know I interviewed a Olympic boxer and he said man I've been punched in the face so many times I've had more blood on my face than you can see skin.

1:00:58I've had my dad mess me around. I've had my mom leave me. I've experienced some really dark times, but still to this day, nothing has ever felt darker than heartbreak. Yeah, yeah. It's ruthless, eh? It's ruthless, man. But so if we think about it, how much our life changes when we go through it, if anything, with all due respect to the men that have never gone through it, are you a real man until you've experienced some hardship? Because a real man is about, like, the truth of being your realest self is the willingness to face it as it really is, from on. Because it's easy to run, bro. Like, there's so many distractions now.

1:01:41Yeah. There's so many. And also, they've become so, like, advanced at creating the distractions that we've really got to be able to sit with ourselves and be like... They're hidden. Yeah. Like the way the phones work and shit, bro. Like they're designed to distract us without knowing we're distracted. And they're hidden in different ways as well because you can mask distraction as striving and success in the external world. So you can go through a heartbreak and be like, fuck that girl, man. I'm just going to level up. Yeah, yeah. And that's deemed to be success. Yeah. You've grown so much since she.

1:02:17Yeah, yeah. You just built up another layer of your identity though and your shell, which takes you further away from the truth. It's a way to win in the 3D world. But as I said here, it's fun but fleeting because you reach a new height and you can finally look up there and go, damn, that girl's looking back at me and she wishes she didn't leave me. And you're living in this state that you're bumping your tires up. But then at the same time, why does that feeling disappear? here. And then you have all the money, the nice cars, the nice house, and you still feel empty. And it's this thing where sometimes you need to go to the deepest of lows to get forced into a state where the only thing you can do is look within.

1:03:03And that's the most liberating point, because you know that nothing external is going to solve that thing. And when you arrive at that spot, that's the most powerful spot. And I don't want to jump the gun on your book, but one of the things you have at the very start of that book is easy times create weak men. Yeah, yeah, yeah. We just pulled that page open before we were sharing our notes. Yeah. And I don't want, like, I'm no David Goggins kind of a guy. Like, I'm not really into all that shit, but, like. So I think, like, take it with a pinch of salt. But what I mean is, like, and I wrote that climbing, hiking, Mount Agung, and, like, Like it took me back to my days as a rugby player where, you know, what it reminded me is playing rugby like that, like there was a lot of tough times that came just like normal on your day-to-day basis, like battered brews, the work that we put in and the day -to-day slog and that was normal.

1:04:03And then I retired and then business became like my battle day-to-day slog. but um this was just a quote that i wrote hiking up that mountain um and it was just a reminder that like putting yourself out there and into the environment and nature and testing yourself not for any like to hit a time or like to say look at my achievement but just to go out and be one with your direct experience and feel the feelings feel the conditions like there was points where you know like that one i think we got up at like 3 30 a.m and we were hiking and you know i wasn't prepared and i didn't know what i needed and i didn't have the right equipment and shit and it just started absolutely pissing down and i had six hours worth of hiking and my legs were burning and um like in pain and my joints and stuff and then I just remember I had t-shirt shorts on I was absolutely pissing down and I just was like fuck yeah I'm alive baby this is amazing I'm in the trenches right now I can either seize up and mow about or I can just embrace it and face it and like walk it and I did and it just felt amazing man and it just that was It's like easy times create weak men.

1:05:26It's good to put yourself out there. It's good to be willing to fail. It's good to be willing to feel. And it goes back to what we just said. You can't truly love if you aren't willing to face the possibility of heartbreak. And you can't fully live if you're not aware of the fact of death. We could die in any moment. And I'm like, I pray every day. I'm like, when it's my time, take me. I'm all yours. And by saying I'm all yours, I'm like, I'm all yours, love. Let's live it, you know. Bring it. I want it, you know. And that allows every moment of your life to be something beautiful. You know, like whether it's a conversation like this, like looking out at the ocean, watching a bloody cat walk by, like whatever, enjoying your coffee.

1:06:18we live in a reality nowadays man that the most beautiful gift that we have which is here and now is constantly overlooked because we're striving and seeking to get something more and even in the little things man like a lot of people listening to this like when was the last time you just fully sat there with your coffee and like life is good man I'm just enjoying my coffee there's nothing more in the world that I need right now or want it's just me my coffee and life you know it's like and we did some breath work before one thing that like the more I immerse myself in the moment and the present and live from the truth I'm like bro breath is amazing like breathing is is wow like when you fully breathe and and like air through your body and you feel it go all the way through and oxygenate your body there ain't no drug in the world that's more of a high than just being one with your breath like that's that's profound and not even some special breath work just like breathing fully and being aware and conscious with it feeling it fill up your body feeling the vibration within your body and then with that presence you realize that vibration that is your body there's no separation between me and the body me and the world like we're taught that this is the limit of who we are but when you let go of those concepts and you breathe and you allow yourself to be presently observing from awareness you see we're one with all.

1:07:57And then you look at nature, like everything's in cycles. Life and death is one. You know, that's why all the ancient symbology, it's all cycles, the yin and the yang. There's no like one without the other, like life doesn't exist without death. And chaos and destruction, all of it, night and day, light and dark, you know, like all that's going on in the world right now and all the stuff that's being put out through social media and the media, all the dark stuff that's been going on in the world with the wars and the Epstein stuff. It's like, there's nothing to be afraid of. There ain't no light without dark.

1:08:36And you get to choose in the moment who you are. Are you truth or are you illusion? Are you love or are you fear? And that darkness is a reminder to see that you are love and go with that. And then when you know your love and that there's no light without dark, you look at all in the eye. And you know when you look at all in the eye with love, anything of the dark, it won't come near you. When you look everything in the eye with love, there's nothing to fear. You're just like, I see you, we good out here, you can't touch me, you know? Yeah, I think an important distinguishment here to make is the difference between confidence and ego.

1:09:20and so even just as you're explaining this what i'm piecing together is confidence is internal ego is external and so confidence being i know who i am and i'm okay if you don't that's the powerful piece all the inward work all the hardship the pain as we said there easy times create weak men it's not in the sense of i'm david goggins i'm going to work until my eyeballs bleed every single day, your pain isn't shit, ratta, ratta, ratta, toughen up. It's not about that. The pain unlocks true confidence of knowing who you are and not feeling like you need to prove yourself and be validated externally to remind you of who you are.

1:10:03And I like this differentiation point of confidence is I know who I am and I'm okay if you don't. And ego is, I need you to tell me how great I am so then I can believe it too. The external world is ego-driven. I'm going to strive so much. And while you can still do that in a way filled with true confidence, most people aren't, I'm going to strive so much and achieve so much external just so you can tell me how great I am. But I think the freeing nature of hardship and pain is it unlocks when you look within, in the pain and in the mud, it unlocks this rooted confidence where you're fully okay with who you are.

1:10:42You don't need to be anyone else. You're not trying to be anyone else, you don't want to be anyone else. You just want to be you. And it gives off this energy that everyone gravitates towards. And it's funny you even said about how people think that we're all just this one thing, but it's far greater than that. I had a mentor, Jim Fortin. He's big with shamanism and working with reprogramming the subconscious and he completely transformed my life. And I was with him in Sedona about a month ago and And he was referencing, and I would be able to butcher the example, but he brought up his phone and he was explaining that the brain is the device for the soul.

1:11:30And he was explaining that there's people out there that don't need, so the phone, right, being the device in which we receive the text. You send me the text, it pops up on my phone. there's people out there that don't need the phone you send the text i hear it i feel it you you've said it to me and it's a weird thing he was explaining it and he's talking about how like this is this is all 3d world but the 5d world is is a way where people can communicate without any of these devices there's a connection here when you break an atom down to its smallest form, it all ends up being the same thing.

1:12:09And what's funny, this is the first time a conversation on my podcast, I felt this way, but it's very weird. All of the questions I'm thinking about asking, just before I say them, you pause, then you start talking again and you're answering the exact question I wanted to ask without even saying anything. It's really weird, man, but But it's just reminded me of this nature of when you can, you know, and the breathwork would have helped that to unlock presence. You're very grounded. You look within a lot. I do. I think there's a combination of all of this where we've been able to remove a lot of the barriers.

1:12:47But it's been so fascinating just observing your mind and your consciousness, your stream of consciousness go because you just start answering the exact thing that I was about to ask. And you've done it probably four or five times in this conversation. We're in alignment. We're in flow. You know what? I never used to explore anything to do with astrology and numerology and stuff like that. And I don't really go out my way to explore it. But when you open up the space and things come to you and they make sense. So in the last probably six months or something, I had some people come into my life that recommended or introduced or spoke about people that had true...

1:13:35knowledge and wisdom within my astrology and numerology. And so it kind of opened me up to, you know, receive and feel and resonate. And again, like I'm not going to try to articulate it as someone that, you know, has, you know, this knowledge or skill to articulate it. But what I do really feel and really resonate with is there is a big shift that's gone on and going on in all of the energetic fields and the planets or whatever, however you want to describe it, that is a shift in frequency. And that shift in frequency is relevant to this reality that we're currently living in and the frequency is raising.

1:14:20And if you are walking this path, choosing to live a life of truth and alignment to your highest self, which is the highest self of the whole collective, the possibilities of this reality are just expanding and evolving and the limitations of the more dense frequency in which this reality that we've been involved in has been operating via we're starting to disband and move apart and all that's gone on with the wars and the Epstein stuff and all of that shit, it's actually a splitting apart or, you know, like a portion of the population are going to stay stuck within a more of a dense reality of materialism and heaviness and, you know, that way of operating.

1:15:14And that's no judgment. That's just going to be their world. And then if you have been someone that is within you, been resonating with love and light and truth and openness and expansiveness and possibility follow that like just go with it let go of the fear and you'll see that beyond that fear following that love and that wholeness and that openness without even a concept of where to get to in the material world you're going to open yourself up to possibilities that the mind is not able to even comprehend because we're stepping into a whole new reality and all of the astrology numerology is showing and aligning that all the planets have shifted and all that and i feel it and like i had this amazing i spoke about venice beach uh yeah just before but i had this other amazing experience one morning i was stretching down at venice beach and i was doing some hip or like whatever stretch and this lady walks past and she's like oh that's a good stretch i was like yeah it's been amazing and then i was like what up to she's like i walk along every morning and i'm just looking out for the dolphins i was like oh what there's dolphins here she's like yeah um and she was like yeah i swim with them sometimes i was like whoa shit i would love to swim with dolphins that's amazing and she was like okay well you just come down here and just keep an eye out for them and i was like okay amazing we'll have a good day and i can't really like we exchanged names and then she went off on her way and then i was carrying on my stretching and then like two months later i hear my name and i'm i don't know anyone in LA at that point.

1:16:42And so it's not normal for me. So I'm sort of like, Hey, is that my name? And then I looked down and the lady's like going like waving at me about 200 meters away. And I look and she's waving and there's these three dolphins swimming about 15 meters out from the shore. And I was like, Whoa. So I jogged down to her and I was like, she's like, go, go swim with the dolphins. And I go, and I said, okay, well, what do I do? And she goes, just don't splash and send love and I was like I can do that so then I so then by this point they're swimming I run up about 10 meters and I start swimming across and then I go and then bro like you know I've never swam with dolphins I've never been close to them they're a big fucking beastie they're like a horse in the water you know and so I'm hearing their noise up and then like you know it's like oh it's pretty like you know it's quite an experience I'm swimming right out to them and then I went under the water and I heard and felt their communication.

1:17:43And so I remember what she told me and I sent love. So I just, in my own way, in that present moment, in that very, like, what to me was a very, like, profound present moment, I just sent love. And, you know, I heard and felt this message get sent from the dolphins and it was like this vibration, this frequency moves off and it went into my heart. And then I was like, okay, then I'm done. And I've felt something and then I got out. And as I was getting out, my mind's saying, what was the message? You need to understand the message so you can apply it into the world. And then my heart spoke to me and it spoke to the mind.

1:18:24And it goes, it ain't for you, brother. It's already been received. And I was just like, that's just that. Because the mind's trying to find something and get it to apply to the outcomes that it's pursuing. But the heart was like, nah, bro, it's already known. We already got it. You ain't got to try to figure that out. And then I was like, whoa. And then do you know what? I, you know, after I broke up with the girl that I'd been with before, and I really sat and I faced these feelings and thoughts, and I started to understand me and walking the path for myself and with love but not seeking anything to fill a void, I started to visualize and just intuitively the feeling of the woman that was true to me and who I wanted to be and how I wanted to shop but the feeling of what that person would feel like and what that life looked like and I would allow those types of visions to come to me.

1:19:29and then I met this girl and the first time she spoke to me the vibration of her voice it was the same as the dolphins and then that's why I was like we're on to something here and it came by not seeking, not looking just via letting go, facing it and being like and even like there was times in that period of facing it that the insecurities and fear will be like, nah, you need to go and make more than an effort and find a girl, man, because you don't want to end up alone, and you're in the prime of your life, so you want to be with someone. And I was like, nah, man, this is time to walk my path for me and be the best whole true version of myself and know the love that I am in a totality within me so that then I will attract the right person for me rather than go seek it from a place of limitation or scarcity.

1:20:25and yeah man and but it's an ongoing journey like it's never ending because like i said before when you find that that person you know there's those parts in you that want to kind of fold and just you know go in to lose your path in your direction to that love and rely upon them for that wholeness so it's like an ongoing journey of like walking that path and staying true to yourself and doing what's right for the universe, man. Because if you're doing what's right and true to you, you're doing what's right and true to the universe. And then all of us that do that, then we're going to raise the collective and create this whole new reality.

1:21:02Where do you think the line is for settling and always wanting more? And what I mean by this is just, I feel like as men, especially high achieving men in the external world, we constantly feel like the grass is always greener. And so, you know, one of my best friends, he was explaining to me, because I was speaking about a relationship that I was dealing with him. And he's like, and I was questioning whether she was the one. And he's like, brother, I'm 37. And since I've been 20, I've been playing the same game that the grass is always greener. and I'm 37 and I'm single. How have you gone navigating this want of more and trusting that the woman that you're with is enough and is the right one?

1:22:01I think it's the like, I live my life in a way that I'm open to every possibility, you know, and like I really, I feel that that's a good test to like give yourself to be like if I'm open to every possibility in this reality I'm going to be open to the to what is truly aligned to me rather than just following what I believe my best path is in life when I I broke up of my wife like it was scary bro because when that came up within me to be like you're not living your true self this relationship is not aligned to your highest good and if it's not aligned to your highest good it's not aligned to her highest good and she's not going to be the one to see it so you got to be the one to do it and then when that arose the first it was scary as hell because I got married believing that my whole future was that was going to be with that woman.

1:23:04And that was what I was committed to with that relationship and that marriage. So when that came up, I was like, fuck, that was scary, bro. Because my whole reality that my mind had created of my future had the potential to crumble. But then I was like, well, if it is true, if that what's come up there is true, you need to face it, bro. Because you ain't here to live a life that's not your fullest expression. And in order to live your fullest expression, if you've gone down a route that isn't aligned to it, you've got to be willing to break free of it for everybody's good, not just yours, hers too.

1:23:40And you've got to be ruthless with that from love and be willing to be the bad guy, but know that if it's for the highest good, that at the end of the day, it's of service to everybody. And if we allow ourselves the ability to do that, we open ourselves up to our true path because so much of what we do in life is based upon a concept of what we need to do and where we need to go and what we need to become and unless we're able to sit with and face and be willing for things that we thought were so real and true to be dissolved and shattered and to face the feelings of that and the experience of that then I don't think we're going to live our fullest self, you know?

1:24:24Yeah. Yeah. So you mentioned marriage and feeling like when you were going into that, you were so sure at the moment. And then you mentioned at the start of this conversation, you were saying that people get caught up with the concept of marriage and it takes them away from the actual love itself. I think this is a great segue to talk about something I read on a post you did in September last year. You said, I lost my notebook yesterday. It had some conversations with the universe. And then in brackets you put, God, before religion misused the word. What do you mean by that? Yeah, I just mean that from my perspective, anything that's become a human concept with hierarchy involved and projections of fear and judgment, that's not God.

1:25:18God is all that is. God is love. God is unconditional. God is the universe. God is consciousness, oneness, nature, truth. Anything that has become something to adhere to, something that has any fear attached to it, judgment, that's not God. And that's what I mean by that. And I think that there's so many things in our reality that are holding or utilizing elements of truth and then taking those elements of truth that people's hearts resonate with and then using that for control. And I don't like that. Yeah, I've been deep diving into religion over the last few months just because living in America, it's crazy how you look at all the most successful people in the world and they all have some sort of relationship to a God.

1:26:21I can't find a single one of these super high achievers that doesn't. So when I look at that and I grew up with no religion, I look at it and I just go, there's something in that I've got to at least explore it because there's people that I respect very highly that believe in this thing. So let's seek to understand. So like a Jehovah's Witness will stop me on the street. I'll pick up their paper. I'll go, I've been going to church. I've been doing all this stuff. I've been reading the Bible. I've been just trying to understand it. and you know there's some things that bring me further away there's some things that bring me closer but this underarching feeling is really that god is just love and i look at that and i feel like it's quite powerful and i'm still really genuinely trying to seek to understand man, I still want to know.

1:27:16And to be honest, an aspect of that is not actually knowing because you can't know. The faith element is such a key part. Knowing is that. Yeah. That wants to figure everything out. But it's like the dolphin. It's like, nah, brother, it's already received. Yeah, yeah. And so I guess there's just this element here that I feel very called to understand because you can't disregard the fact that it's impacted billions of lives around the world. And so at least understanding it is great. I think that even if we tie that into the ego piece is another aspect of ego is thinking you know it all and thinking you're the shit.

1:27:54And so not deep diving in religion and understanding at least the scriptures and what it's all about. And then saying that religion is shit and it's all just crazy in power. that in itself is probably an ego-led thing in itself to not even understand any of it because then at the same time you're shutting your mind off to what it is as well. Yeah, I think even when I'm reflecting on it all as well and you never know where these conversations are going to go down, but we're going there. My understanding of it is obviously you've got like the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit and you go and they do it when they pray the Father, Son, the Holy Spirit, I don't know what the thing is called, the triangle.

1:28:42Holy Trinity. Holy Trinity, yeah. I feel a pull towards the Father, the Creator, God, the thing that when you're on a walk out of nature and you look up in the sky and you see all of the stars and then when you lock eyes on one of the stars, you can get lost in it and realize that it's bigger than the other stars next to it. And then you look beyond it and it's even bigger. Like humans, we didn't create that. There's something far greater. And I feel very pulled to that. And then I feel very pulled towards the spirit, which is the one, the way in which God speaks to you. So the dolphin saying it's already there, man.

1:29:23And the connection there where you get these callings, your intuition, your whatever, that voice that you hear all the time. The piece in all of it that I struggle with is the sun being like worshiping to a human form of that. Like Jesus, if anything, for me, my piece that I struggle with, with the whole religious piece is, I feel like Jesus discredits God because you're trying to explain the creation and the creator in a human form. We can't understand all of this. And I struggle with that. I'm like, Jesus discredits the creator. He discredits the God. And if God's love and you're trying to say that, and then you're trying to put it into a human, I struggle with it all.

1:30:08But anyway. From my perspective, like, or unless you want to finish. No, I'm just intrigued by that part you said, how you brackets and said God before religion misused the word. I just love the framing because I look at religion and I think the biggest thing Jesus hated was religion. He actually hated religion. Because religion came to separate people. It's Muslims and us, Jews and us, Christians and us. And it's this divide and power. And even within their own religions, they're separating each other. Yeah. There's a hierarchy. Like, why is the church set up like a courthouse with the priest at the front and everyone else down there, like, getting spoken to?

1:30:49Like, Jesus was not a Christian, bro. He was a divine expression of God in man's form. And the way I see Jesus is we're here as this expression, and that is the perfect expression for this reality, where we found ourselves in this being. This is our complete reality. This is the divine heaven on earth. Jesus is a symbol and a messenger and an example and a story and an analogy to remind us of the truth of who we all are. Religion misconstrued his words and utilized them as, here's a God in the sky and here's us. and we need to do all we can here on this earth in order to be accepted by that God in the sky so when we die, we go to heaven.

1:31:54That shit's all made up. Like our only reality is here and now. This is our truth. This is our totality. This is our reality. Jesus was a reminder to say, here and now, the kingdom of heaven is within you. I am the way, the truth, and the light. He wasn't saying, I am the way, the truth, and the light. like God up there, he's saying, I, you and I both say I. All the most ancient scriptures, I think, are the Hindu scriptures. One of their key pointers is to say, ask yourself, who am I? And you'll see that I am is the background, the source of awareness. Jesus was saying the same thing. I am the way, the truth, and the light.

1:32:44He was saying, turn within, see the eye, the background, consciousness, is the way, the truth, and the light. And everything that he did, all the ups and downs, he forgave the people that double-crossed him. He forgave Judas, or whatever his name was.

1:33:05When he was walking up that thing, holding that cross, he knew that like he was suffering, but he knew it was for a higher purpose. He walked everything with truth and love and light, and he faced it all. And he did it with love, and he did it with the knowing that this world, he was in this world, but not of this world. And that's what we've been talking about this whole time. Me and you, like, you like to stay fit, you like to be healthy, you like to do the work that you love to do, you find purpose in it, you enjoy nice surroundings, things, you like good food, you like nice clothes, you like to do the things that are true to you, you're in the world showing up as the way, the truth, and the light, but you're not of the world, so you're not defined by the world.

1:33:53And therefore, you have no fear. You're free. And when fear does arise, it's just a reminder to remember, I am the way, the truth, and the light, here and now. That's me. And that's all I'll ever be. and when this time on this earth as this being is dissolved, the I am doesn't die. It's always there. It's infinite. And Jesus and all the key figures in all the religions, they were just divine messengers in a very profound way to point people back to the truth. They weren't trying to have this indoctrinated conceptual thing, but that's what humans do. That's what governments do. That's what education does.

1:34:35That's what science does. That's what the media does. All of that. That's what medicine does. It's all fucking divide and conquer and create fear and keep people limited and trapped from knowing that the divine freedom, love, and truth is within us all right now. And then even that is like everyone's seeking something to find the divine truth. But what we don't realize is it's already there. You just sit there and be it. Just be it. Just be like, that's it. That's heaven on earth. You have a powerful mind and soul, my friend. It's a pleasure to share it with you, man. And that's the other thing about religion.

1:35:15It's like, if anyone listen to this, man, I'm just me. I'm just expressing my heart in the moment. My words are not the truth. Don't take the words. If anything resonates with you, it resonates because your heart knows what's true. and I'm just doing my best through words, as are you, to express what I feel and know in my heart. My words aren't going to be like, the words can never articulate what's true because words are already out into the world. Words are designed to describe the material world, but we're just doing our best to point from here to here. That's why art and music created from love is beautiful because if it's created from love, it's coming from within.

1:35:56It's an expression of the divine, which is who we are inside. And then it's expressed outwardly. And then if it's received in presence, then it's a shared moment of the pointer of the truth, the shared oneness within us both. Yeah, and the thing about this, which I think I really want to rein home is you can listen to people online realizing that nothing is true, everything's interpreted. But if something in you lights up your soul and you get a little message or a knock on the door after hearing these words, and a lot of the time it's not straight away. and this is why I think I encourage like creating silence and space in your life.

1:36:45But when that comes up, the courage you need to have to listen to it and act on it and let that soul lead the way is a superpower. You know, like overconsumption just is distraction. And even a challenge for anyone that's listening all the way to the end of this podcast, don't put another podcast on after this. if you're on your walk or you're driving to work or whatever it is, if you have the ability to do so, just spend 30 minutes and just ponder on what we've spoken about. It's not about me. It's not about you. It's about what we've mirrored inside of you. What have you listened to today that has brought something out of you that you need to sit on?

1:37:28The most powerful realizations I've had from reading a book is not from reading the book. It's from reading one page and then thinking for 45 minutes. So if you have the blessing of the space, don't go and fill your ears with noise again. Because the mind wants to attach the concept and try to get that out. Like when I got out with the dolphins, it's like, what is that? We've got to figure that out. And the heart says, no, gee, we already got it. The space you have after consuming what you've listened to for the last however long we've been rolling for, I don't know, I'm in a stream of consciousness, it's been insane.

1:38:01I could talk to you for a minute. hours the the this the powerful realization and lessons you're going to get from this is not from what we say it's from what you ponder on what we said it's what you it's the conversations that you have with yourself off the back of this that has sparked things in you those are the things that will move the needle not another podcast not more noise and the crazy thing is is the statistics show that 33 % of people that listen to my podcast, after they listen, they're going to go listen to another one of my podcasts. I got that on Spotify wrapped. Those people don't go listen to another one of my podcasts after this.

1:38:39Sit in silence and come back later. Because that's going to be where the answers are and that's going to be where the powerful things come. Dude, I've loved this. You're great. Oh, thank you, brother. And I've had a great time. What's been exciting you at the moment?

1:38:55Love. Creating. openness to the unknown like putting time energy love into things that there's no guarantee but you have faith and you know that what you do here and now in the moment is enough that that expression and that freedom and that facing the fear and doing it anyway is enough and yeah like just the ability to look at life through gratitude and possibility and truly appreciate that and welcoming in what's for you before you even have the thing that you know is for you if you can see it and feel it and articulate it, it's already yours live it, live in the knowing that it's yours and And what's for you will come for you.

1:39:55Like we're the wholest, fullest, most complete version of ourselves that will ever be here and now. And just to live that and be that and see life through that lens, that's what excites me, man. And life keeps showing me the more I let go of seekings and attachments and outcomes and see life from here and now as my fullest, truest self and walk that path. And be really honest with myself. Life brings me what's for me. And I'm just like, thank you. And then when it brings me what's for me, I'm just like, I'm so grateful. I'm so grateful to life for giving me hardships and lessons and blessings.

1:40:39So let me sit there and face it and see it and let go and live here and now. And be open to receive and to give. And that's what excites me, man. I appreciate you coming on man I'm going to leave all your details in the show notes description below everyone go check out Grayson and all the awesome work he's doing we dove into a fraction all the stuff you got going on I'm super inspired by your work dude and I appreciate you coming on nah thank you man for creating the space to host these and showing up the way you do man because without you seeing it the way you do you wouldn't be able to hold these conversations so it's a pleasure to share it with you appreciate you guys for tuning in thank you so much man thank you bye Bye.

1:41:21Bye.
