In short

Andy Elliot argues that respect comes from self-leadership, discipline, and being “undestructible” through pain; he contrasts “Goliaths” (comfortable, lethargic high performers) with “underdogs/comeback kids” who keep a chip on their shoulder and can crush industries. He also stresses loyalty-based relationships, brotherhood, and building a mission-aligned team culture.

Guests

Andy Elliot (host/primary speaker). Jackie Elliot is discussed extensively as his wife and business partner (no separate guest voice in the transcript). Mentions include Patrick Bet-David, Tony Robbins, David Goggins, Jocko Willink, and Andy Frisella (as references, not guests).

Key claims

Pain and suffering refine people; confidence is different from ego; “be hungrier than any other human” and “fall in love with learning”; respect is earned by taking care of yourself; titles/ego weaken culture; “two minds become one” makes a team dangerous.

Notable examples

Two job-interview comparison (respect tied to fitness/magnetism, not highest pay); FBI-exposure story where family turned on him but Jackie stayed; “Brotherhood event” focused on being a good man/partner rather than sales.

0:00If there's two jobs today and I was going to go for two job interviews, guy one, I look at him, he's a f***ing f***er. Doesn't take care of himself, but he's like, I'll pay more money than anybody else. But then I go to job two and this guy's like in the greatest shape of his life, on fire, magnetic, but he's not paying me the most money. I will literally roll with this guy for less money than go work for that guy for more money. What we're hearing is this undestructible person that's like, no, f*** the pain, keep going. Was there any moments in your life where you did let that mind get in the way?

0:26Oh, yeah. Pain and suffering is probably the most important thing for any human on planet Earth. I realized that I needed to take myself through a journey that needed to be hard. It needed to be filled with pain and it needed to be filled with suffering, which honestly is like being refined by the fire. If something's not hard, number one, you'll never be proud of yourself. I remember everyone, including my family, all these people turned on me. All the people that I tried to impress for years to take care of, All these people would turn their back on me and show no loyalty. You know who was there?

0:58Jackie. And I'm going to tell you this. When that happened, I realized that if I was to ever get sick or get cancer or something was to happen or I was to be in trouble, I would lose everything in my life. That woman would be right there by my side. When I went to the brotherhood event, I was blown away because you invite everyone's wives there. It's the most important thing. Why is it the most important thing? There's two things that will ruin a man's life. Not having a brotherhood. And then number two.

1:25every single day underdogs crush goliaths and patrick david said that what does that mean to you everything everybody can be the comeback kid okay and i love that growing up i saw a lot of people that were rich they had big lives i thought these people you know they're just special they're made different these guys are just paper tigers remember you heard me say that last night right Like, they're just people that are honestly, I call them the Goliaths. A lot of them have built something. They're lethargic. They're slow. They're big now. They're like a big cruise ship. They're slow to turn. And underdogs are people that I call them the comeback kids.

2:05They're people that, you know, make mistakes. They go through hard times. They go through trials. But they got that chip on their shoulder. Then one day, when they decide to start really self-developing, take care of themselves, live right, live by the right standards, towards these people, these underdogs, they can crush these Goliaths. And the reason why is because they keep that chip on their shoulder and they literally can annihilate any industry, any company, and everyone resonates with them. If you were to ask, where do you want to go work? Do you want to go work in a big company that literally you're just another number with another thousand employees?

2:39Or do you want to go work for a company that literally is where you matter, you're important, you're part of the family, you're part of the mission, you know, you're significant, you know, and, and you're going to be actually on a mission to, to go on attack. Those guys will go crush Goliaths. The Goliaths are riddled with comfort. Yeah. Well, because what happens, look, a high performer, the biggest curse of a high performance, high performer, the biggest curse is high numbers. And so what happens is they get comfortable and they start to think that they're better than everybody else. And so remember when you're on your way up and you're trying to go up, well, guess what happens when you get there?

3:19The curses, you think you made it. And so underdogs never think they made it. Listen to me. Everything in my life is cash. Everything in my life's paid off. I have everything I ever wanted. I have all the dreams that I've ever created, but you know what I feel like? I feel like I'm freaking broke. I feel like I'm going out of business. I feel like somebody has come to try to take it all away from me in the next 48 hours. I literally feel like I got a chip on my shoulder and I'm about to lose it all. Why? Because I love it. I want this feeling. I want this rush. Okay. I want this rush. You know, when you go to the gym, we're in the gym this morning, oxytocin, serotonin, dopamine, endorphins, those chemicals that run through your body.

3:54When you work out really hard, they get released. You do a lot of like, you talked about like the high rocks, intense stuff. You ever get to that point where you get like that runner's high and you're like, dude, I don't know if I'm going to blackout or push through here, but I know it feels good. And that is addictive. Am I right? All those chemicals are releasing. It's not a bad thing. You're pushing through, man. You're having a breakthrough on the spot. Most people think something's wrong. Something's actually really right. So every day that I can stay hungry, dude, I'm dangerous. I'm dangerous hungry.

4:26If the devil was to take you out, literally, he'd do a couple of things. Number one, he'd make you comfortable. Anyone that gets comfortable is finished. You're done. Secondly, he puts you around bad influence. And then most importantly, he'd make you think that you had everything figured out before you're going to do whatever you're going to do. So he'd make you procrastinate. So he would stall you. Okay. When you reference devil, what are you meaning? I mean, like, I believe in the devil. Like, I believe he's real. I believe there's good and there's bad. I believe there's good and there's the opposition of good, which is bad.

4:55Okay. I believe in—it's a spiritual war in life. I believe God is good and he wants people to make good decisions and help people. And I believe that he knows that we're all imperfect and we're going to make mistakes and we're human and we're sinners. But I think that we need, and he'll give us grace, but we need to ask for forgiveness. We spoke in the gym earlier. We were talking about pain. Can someone be able to fix his mic as well? We were talking in the gym earlier and we were talking about pain. And how important is pain and inviting that in on this journey? Pain and suffering is probably the most important thing for any human on planet Earth.

5:34the reason why if something's not hard, number one, you'll never be proud of yourself. Look, I'm going to ask you a question. If you go and you start shoveling down pizzas, right? Like pizza's good. It tastes good. I love it. The problem is, is that afterwards, you're going to feel shame. So during doing it, it feels good. Afterwards, it feels bad. You see people all around the world, you know, 50 % of people get divorced. Marriages get crushed. some guy goes and cheats on his wife during the time it feels really good when it's done shame disgust okay and so basically like like you want to be proud of you you want to figure out how to do things that like most people will break at and you don't want to break and when you don't break you're proud of you so you never want to feed the flesh your body's always craving stuff that's not good for you.

6:30Am I right? And if you were to do those things that are bad for you, you would hate yourself. You literally would hate yourself. You'd never be proud of you and you'd be a total sack of crap. But when you can say no, what allows you to say yes to the right thing, you don't feed your flesh. You'd be disciplined. Do you think most people's enemy is their mind? It just gets in their way? Well, 100%. Everybody in this world, most of their heads are filled with useless information. What do you mean? Useless information, just crap, like just whatever, like they're consuming TikTok and social media. Now, if you're watching this podcast right now, you're watching this for education because I know that when you get on here, you don't just entertain people.

7:10Like you're like, hey, we need some nuggets so we can help people on the other side of this camera go to another level and change their life. Yeah. I want to go to a time then because right now what we're seeing, what we're hearing is this undestructible just person that's like, no, fuck the pain, keep going. No sleep. We're on a mission. We're on a grind. Was there any moments in your life where you did let that mind get in the way and it just, and it just, yeah. Yeah. Listen, I honestly believe anybody that's going to be great, anyone that's going to be great. Okay. Number one, they don't start out great.

7:42They usually have to, they have to ruin everything in their life. They have to hit the pain line. Many times they have to make a lot of mistakes. They got to hurt a lot of people. They got to get hurt themselves by a lot of people. And then one day they're like, you know what? Like, I don't want to live this way no more. And then they decide to change. And when I decided to change, I realized that I needed to take myself through a journey that needed to be hard and needed to be filled with pain and it needed to be filled with suffering, which honestly is like being refined by the fire. Okay. Like in the Bible, it talks about the refiner's fire, right?

8:16Like, Like you put the sword in the fire and it has to stay in long enough so that it can burn off all the blemishes. But a lot of people, they want a new life. They want a different life. They want to get rich. The problem is they want to get pulled out of the fire too soon. They're like, pull me out. No, that's not how it works. Do you think that if you're not in a fire, you need to self-inflict and put yourself in a fire? I think poor people self-sabotage their life every day. Listen, the devil's favorite weapon is poverty. He loves making men poor. And if he can make you not believe in yourself, if he can make you feel like you're unvaluable and useless, he owns you.

8:54That's why he owns 98 % of the world, literally. I mean, so the goal is that you'll never out-earn your own self-worth. I think the value that you believe in yourself, like who you are, will determine how your life will go, what you get, and what your future is going to look like. And I just think that, man, we're alive in a very special time right now. and I think a lot of people, every time somebody makes a mistake, people are so addicted to toxicness that when they see somebody make a mistake, they're like, oh, hey, did you see what that guy did? They love talking about other people. This is the way I roll and I know you feel the same way.

9:28When someone makes a mistake, I immediately say you're never defined by your last mistake. Look, dude, I don't think you're a bad person. I think what you did was bad. I don't think that's who you are. Am I right? Yes, okay, cool. So let's not do that again. Let's self-correct. And by the way, let's figure out why did that even happen? Let's audit your life. Was it because of something you did? You had something negative in your head? Was it because you were hanging out with the wrong people? Did you go to the wrong place? We got to do a life audit really quick with that person. One of the things that I love to do is to take one person and move them across the country to another place where they know no one.

9:58When you do that, they're like, why would you do that? Because they need to know no one so they can become someone they've never become. It's the greatest trick for building a new human. Yeah, I feel that. I feel that. Moving over here. And as I was saying a couple of weeks ago when we were together, is that like coming to a place like America from Australia, when you're a big dog in Australia, you come here and you're like, okay, now we're at the bottom of the totem pole again. We need to start again. It feels good because you go, all right, well, you know, I actually need to do more. I need to stand out.

10:27I need to give people a reason to actually give a shit because they don't. Well, you're getting an opportunity to prove to yourself again. And how exciting is that? Oh my God. And I think when you take, when you go back to those times, let's say like before even launching a podcast before even starting the business X, Y, and Z, that's how you were. And then you went from A to B and you go, fuck yes, we did that. And then we go again. So I think that's a great reset. Just earlier in the gym, we were talking about, you mentioned like people let their ego get in the way. But then just in this conversation, we were talking about how important that self-belief, that confidence is.

11:03Do you think there's a big difference between confidence and ego? And do you think - Facts. Yeah. So look, self-esteem, self-belief, self-confidence, three important things to be successful. Man, listen, if somebody ever says, man, this person's conceited. No, listen, if anyone ever doesn't want you to believe in yourself, those people aren't your friends. In order for you to create anything in your life, if you don't like you, will you be good to your wife? Will you be good to your husband? Will you be good to your kids? Will you be good to your team? Will you be good to anybody? No, people that don't like themselves, that don't love themselves are horrible, hateful people and miserable to everyone around him.

11:38So I do believe that you need to, and by the way, we call that taking care of ourself. We were in the gym this morning. Those are things that people do that love themselves. They go and they intentionally spend time working on themselves every day, not only for themselves, but also for the people they love and for the life that they want, right? And so you talk about ego though. Pride and ego is the death of everyone. If right now, like a coach was to come and coach you how to become better or me, if I had ego, I was like, I'm like, yeah, but anytime you say, yeah, but you're out. Listen, anytime that someone sees something in you, if you got to ask yourself a question, and this is what I would say, I do believe there's more potential in you.

12:17Yeah. Okay, cool. So if I'm trying to correct you right now and trying to coach you, there's no reason why you should say anything back to me. You should listen to what I'm saying, because the fact is that you do have more in you and you need to take, there's probably one little piece of what I'm saying that could increase your potential right now in this conversation. But most people have that wall up and that ego and they just, they just, they, they, they don't want to, they're uncoachable basically. Yeah. The sponge hardens up. It's like when you're starting out, you're a sponge. You're just willing to soak it all in and learn as much as you can.

12:50And you've got to stay in that state. Yeah. The, the, the interesting pivot though, that I've noticed and correct me if you, if you don't think, if you don't agree, but as you increasingly become more successful, as you increasingly get more attention, more people want something from you. You have a way more influx of information, opportunity, all these things. It's like, you still need to be this child that soaks it all up, childlike nature, but you need to be aware. And so you can pick the things that serve you and the things that don't serve you as well. Like onboard them and go, I respect it and then choose if that serves you or not.

13:22So you're not just onboarding everyone's opinions and kind of getting a bit confuffled and confused. Yeah. So let me tell you how I think really successful people work. Number one, they're the most coachable people in the room and they're the greatest students. That's the reason why they got where they are. And the second they stop doing that, someone's going to beat them. These people are also very hard to persuade. Okay. But they're open-minded. Do you feel me? Okay. They say no to almost everything and they only say yes to a few things. They explore it. Yes. Amateurs say yes to everything and rarely say no to anything.

13:57Okay. So if you're like, hey, let's go to lunch, I'd be like, no. The reason why is because I know what I want. And people say, oh, you see, I don't like that guy already. No, I value my time. And my time is already pre-planned five months in advance. And people say, well, then you don't own your life. Oh, I do. My life is very awesome. I actually plan my life so that I can protect my life, so I can figure out what I want to do with my life, so I'm really intentional in my time. And if you don't respect your time, no one else will respect your time. Remember this. If you have no control over your life, you know people like, I feel like I'm just out of control and there's this chaos and all this stuff's going around.

14:33It's because you don't respect your time so no one else respects your time so they're literally running you in the ground. I'm gonna give you the best advice anyone could ever give you in the entire world. Two things. Number one, be hungrier than any other human on planet Earth. Be starving to win, okay? Like be so excited to be alive that you wanna delegate your sleep. Like I just don't wanna sleep. So my eyes are like bloodshot red most of the times because I just dream all night and I'm building all night. Like what a beautiful time to be alive in this world. And then number two, fall in love with learning.

15:05Listen, man, we're in the knowledge industry right now. There's people that are building these big, beautiful companies and all kinds of stuff, whether it's a marriage or being a father or getting close to God or getting in great shape or building a big business or making a lot of money. I don't care. Like there's people that are doing it at a really high level right now, and they're willing to share this information. I am a thief of knowledge. I am. I steal. One of the biggest sins, I steal all the information from everyone because I want to learn everything that everybody's ever done. By the way, I only learn from experts.

15:43Now, would I learn from most of the time my students? Yes, because I listen to what they say and it helps me understand more of what I want. But I'm going to tell you guys, Anyone that's been able to do something that I want to do and they live by the standards of how I want to live. I study them. I model them. I model, you know, proven practices like, hey, they did it so I could do it too, which if anybody can do it, we can do it too. Learn, fall in love with learning. Most people aren't in love with learning. They want to learn just enough to make just enough. I want to learn everything, dude.

16:13I want to learn it all. If you're more loving than me, I want to know why you're more loving than me. I like, I want to learn you. I want to study you. I want to understand it. If you can run faster than me, why can't this guy run faster than me? Oh, well, it might be because when the pain kicks in, I slow down, but you speed up. And I'm like, well, how is he addicted to that pain? Why is it good? And you're like, well, there's this thing called a runner's high. I've actually pushed through when it gets hard, where when you back off, there's a reason why, because I know that you're going to run this big marathon you talked about in like a month or two, but there's Ironmans, you know, Ironmans are, right?

16:46There's a reason why 40-year-old men can smoke 20-year-olds and these Ironmans. The reason why is the 20-year-olds, a lot of them think they're going to die. When the pain kicks in, the 40-year-old's like, I'm not going to die. This is just horrible. We're just in hell. I'm going to keep going. Yeah. You mentioned we're in the knowledge business. Would you say that more importantly, though, we're in the connection business of connecting with people because as AI automates the world and AI is an information knowledge overload, it's going to be more important that we can actually connect with people and make people feel something.

17:22Oh yeah. Like, listen, the reason why people will watch your podcast over someone else's, even if that other person gives better information is because they can connect with you and relate with you. I always say like Tony Robbins always says, so what are me too? Like people are like, like you'll say something and somebody's like, man, so what? It's like, I don't understand what that has to do with me because I can't relate with you. But if people are like, dude, me too. Like when they're watching this, they're like, dude, me too. This guy's 23 years old. You know, he did great in Australia. He's crushing it, killing it.

17:50He built himself a name and a brand, which is everything he wanted. Now he uproots and come to the United States. And you know, how many people in Australia? 27 million. Yeah. So he's going from a population of 27 million now over here to 350 million. Like why would he put himself in that situation. He has it good over there. That's because you're testing yourself. I just want to know what you're made of, man. Yeah. You'll be more proud of yourself over this next year. It doesn't matter about money, accolades, or what anyone else thinks about you. You'll be proud of what you put yourself through and what you're going through now.

18:26And I think all of those things are a byproduct of letting that soul-led version of you, letting that person that's hungry, that knows what he wants, and letting him like kind of lead the way and not be distracted by so many things. When you do that, people can feel that energy and you're going to get all the success, the money, the accolades and all the thing just come from that. And I've been learning that. It's been interesting just, you know, being around you and seeing how your team work and seeing how your events go. Like for example, a couple of weeks ago at the Brotherhood event, I was expecting a whole lot of sales and stuff like this and you didn't even bring up sales once.

18:59It was all about how to be a good man, how to be a good partner, how to respect yourself, get in good shape. And it was really awesome to see how you flipped what traditionally is being taught on its head. And you're like, this is the important stuff. This is the stuff that matters. I want to talk about this relationship piece with obviously your wife, Jackie. You've been with her for what, 18 years? Yeah. 18 years? 20 years. 20 years. She's seen a lot of different versions of Andy, you would say. How's she been being able to navigate all of the change or have you guys evolved all together and how's that relationship been going through so many different phases of your life well women go through changes too and so do men and so basically look here's what i'll tell you guys marry your best friend i always say like marry your best friend if it's not your best friend you're not going to make it okay look jackie's my fantasy she's my girlfriend she's my wife she's the mother of my children she's my business partner she's my workout partner she's my counselor i mean she's my prayer mate like she's everything.

20:00She's all that. She said, people say, man, how can someone be all that? Dude, I want to do life with her until I die. Okay. And I made that decision when she was 24 and I was 26. And when I married her, I was like, we're both going to become a whole bunch of different people over the rest of our life. But I want us to have each other's back. And we call it like cartel loyalty, right? Like mob mentality. Like if there's a gunfight, like if somebody's getting their hands bloody, whether things are good or whether things bad, we got each other's back and we're going to war together. It's me and her against the world.

20:31Look, I'm going to explain this to you. The most dangerous thing in the world in the Bible, it says when two or more gather, when two minds become one, you're dangerous. And me and Jackie did that 20 years ago. Now, she was an independent woman, and then she had to learn how to take care of me. And then she had to have kids. And, you know, she went through the mom stage, right? And then she went from like being like an independent woman that made money, that was having kids that always worked. And now she's staying at home to now she's, you know, like getting back in the business. Now she's the CEO of our company and she's freaking crushing it.

21:04And then again, I was the guy that, you know, was young. I started to get skilled and then she was staying at home and then she wasn't with me. And then I was taking care of the whole family. And then it's like, Hey, I had to figure out how to be the dad, the husband and grow a business. And then she stepped in with me and now we're together. Every time you get to go through hardship with somebody, it's a good thing. It's not a bad thing. Most people, they're like, me and my husband are fighting or me and my wife are fighting. I'm like, dude, that's the best thing that ever happened. You guys get a chance to grow right now.

21:37How cool is that? Dude, anytime you can ever suffer with somebody, you're going to get closer. If me and you could go through pain together, me and you will be closer than we would without the pain. Does that make sense? Yeah. Yeah. So like, I just want to tell you, like, honestly, Jackie has always believed in me. She's always believed in me. She's never like held the past over me. If I make a mistake, she's very clear. It's kind of like a mother to a child. It's like, let's say you're my son and you mess up. And I'm like, hey, you're a bad kid. You're such a bad kid. I mean, imagine that. I go like, man, I'm a bad kid.

22:12I'm labeled I'm a bad kid. So I'm just going to keep doing bad. But Jackie was like, you're not bad. You're a very good man. You're a strong man. People look up to you. You're a great leader, okay? And that, what you did, that's not who you are. that's not who you are was there any moments where i don't know it'll hit you all at once where you realize the gratitude was there any like moments can you think of any times in your life where you were like it just hit you where you went holy shit like i don't know what i'll do without having jackie hell yeah about a million times but i can remember a couple for sure there was a time in my life where i wanted to be really successful and i wanted to make a lot of money and Jackie was at home taking care of the kids and she was always taking care of me, but I was too busy trying to please everybody at the job, in the office, at work.

23:01And some things would happen, right? Like I worked for a company, I worked for a guy who was like the antichrist. So if you know what that is, he's just a really bad man. And I didn't really have to really get involved with him. I just worked for his company, but he ended up being a bad guy and some things happened to him and the FBI had come into his business. And there were some things that were going wrong in his business and I was running his business. And these things, although they went in along with a lot of businesses around the world, he was the one who was under attack. And so those things were exposed and I was working for him.

23:40I'd never been in trouble in my life, ever. And now it's like, we're all in trouble. I remember everyone, including my family, my blood, looking at me like, I've never done it. I've took care of everybody my whole life. All these people turned on me, all of them. No one stood by my side. All the people that I tried to impress for years to take care of. So good to these people. I never did anything to these people. All these people would talk shit on me. All these people would make fun of me. All these people would turn their back on me and show no loyalty. You know who was there? Jackie. Okay.

24:27And I'm going to tell you this. When that happened, I realized that if I was to ever get sick or get cancer or something was to happen, or I was to be in trouble, I would lose everything in my life, that woman would be right there by my side. And here I was trying to please all these other people. And I was giving her leftovers. And that was the day I changed everything. Now, because I told the truth, I did the right thing, guess what happened? I didn't get caught up with the wrong people. I made a decision to change my life that day. I made some decisions that I would never make decisions based off money again.

25:01I would never work for losers again. Who I was around will determine how my life would go, which clearly proved the point there. I made a hard pivot. I grabbed Jacqueline. I got close. I included her in my dream and the big vision of how I wanted life to go. And my life would forever change. I didn't get in trouble. I changed my life. I feel like God knows the heart. Gave me a second chance. And I'm just telling you, I realized that Jackie will be by my side till I die. And like, so if you're ever lucky enough ever in your life or anyone is ever to find a person that truly believes in them and loves them, man, take good care of them and grow with them.

25:45And I just feel like a lot of people, honestly, they don't value the families like they used to. And a lot of people, they don't realize that their greatest student and the greatest superpower in their life will always be their partner. Yeah. Did it make you realize that you don't need this big circle? You don't need the validation? You don't need to please anyone? Yeah, you don't need none of that. But here's what I would tell you, though. When me and her got close and we got powerful and we got strong, people started to show up. The right people that loved us, that we could love. And yes, through life, we would still be betrayed a few times here and there.

26:25but man because we became strong and our foundation was our family and like we got close like we would attract these kinds of people that were family people that loved loyalty that like wanted what we had that wanted their life to count that wanted to you know create great impact in this world and uh and that's how we built Elliot Army do you do you struggle to trust what's your relationship with trust. No, no, no. I always trust. I give trust first. I micromanage in the beginning when I'm trusting somebody. So it'd be like, I'll trust you, but I might kind of micromanage a little bit, right? Like in the beginning, like I'll watch, like to make sure, you know, but like, I always trust man.

27:06Like, look, dude, I wouldn't have the company that we have now had I not trusted my people. Now, will some people take advantage of trust? Yeah. Okay, cool. It's part of life. Okay. It's not a big deal, but you know what? A lot of people want to be trusted. And those people that want to be trusted, if you'll trust them and they're good people, they'll stay with you for life. Yeah. What I noticed in the first day of spending time with your team was realizing how united everyone is. And it is like an army. Talk to me about how you developed this understanding of how to build a cult-like army of people that just love the mission.

27:42We went to dinner with one of your team members and Edward, and he was talking about the business just like it was his. He's like, this is what we do. This is what we do. Yeah, we do this. And you were not there. It was just Edward and a couple of us. And I just went, I want my staff and team to talk about the company that I'm the head of like that. How does that happen? Yeah. So, well, number one, we don't have any titles in our company. Okay. So like, just give an example. Like the other day they were going through and they're they're taking a bunch of pictures on our website of like all of our team and they were uploading it.

28:18And then the girl was, um, when I say the girl, but one of our people that worked for my wife, Jacqueline on the backside, she was putting titles next to everybody. And Jackie says, ah, remove that crap now, immediately put them in alphabetical order. If they want to find Jacqueline, they'll go to the J's. They want to fight Andy. They'll start at the top, which is a, but like, we don't put titles. Like no one in this company is better than anyone. We're all a family. We're all a team. That's it. So like whether you're the president of the company or you're the janitor, no one is better than anybody.

28:54Everybody lives by the same values, the same standards. And so you ask, how do you build this cult? Like number one, what's the dream? What's the vision? what what what do we must align in okay okay do we me and you need to align that like our core values that are same absolutely now do we me and you have to have the same character no but we have to align with our core values and our standards everyone in this company's core values and standards are all the same yeah yeah and that's and that's how that's how we know we're we're we're on the same page. And one of those things is, is obviously having health as a focus and being, being healthy and fit.

29:39How important is having, like being in world-class shape for, for you and your company? Well, I just say, I tell people, I say, look, if you can't take care of yourself, you can't take care of anybody else. So like, do you want to take care of other people? Do you want to be a good example to others? Yeah. Yeah. Okay, cool. I mean, you know, the building blocks to any big business or anything great in life is disciplined. And I can tell by looking at someone if they're disciplined or not. And your decision-making ability. Yeah. And I guess decision-making ability is downstream from being sharp and fueling your body right as well.

30:15My gosh, dude. Listen. Well, if the devil was to take any human out, just so you understand this, I always say if the devil was going to take you out completely. He would do it one of two ways, mentally or physically. He would crush your physical self the way that you see yourself. Because if you don't see yourself in a good light, like you're going to be a horrible person. So he'd crush you physically. And then secondly, he would crush you mentally. What does taking care of yourself do in the gym or eating clean food? Takes care of you physically and mentally. Dude, if you want to be a person, listen, the devil takes out drifters.

30:55We talked about these people that drift. They literally like, they're undisciplined. They're unfocused. They get distracted easily. They take on bad vices. They make bad decisions. And all these things start to stack when they go. If you get in the gym and you're doing, and you're taking care of yourself and you're eating clean food, like there's a very good chance, like the devil can't mess with you. And like for you, I guess you've had this transformation in your body as well, where you've gone, no, I need to level up this thing. do you think because you've had that a to b that's why you feel so called to share to people because you're like you can fucking do it like i've i've done it look at me and and you can say to them look get in good shape even on the call last night there was a guy that was explaining how he's like oh you're my top because i'm in the automotive industry and you're like well like i'll get in the gym and i'll get in good shape as well yeah no because no one's going to respect you listen how about we lay this out really quick do you want to be respected or do you want to be used yeah you don't take care of yourself people are going to use you your whole life do you think when you say be respected what's even more important in order for you to be respected you need to respect yourself facts do listen to me i'm going to tell you this i look at you and like when i see you like i'm like okay i want to roll with this guy like people will choose their mentor over money right now.

32:17And so like, if you'll pay me the most money, and let's say you have a company, but like, I don't respect you, then I'll just come work for you for money. But if you don't offer me the most money, if there's two jobs today, and I was going to go for two job interviews, guy one, I look at him, he's a fat slob, doesn't take care of himself, but he's like, I'll pay you more money than anybody else. But then I go to job two, and this guy's like in the greatest shape of his life, on fire, magnetic, incredible to be around, like breathing life into me. And he's in great shape, but he's not paying me the most money.

32:52But I'm like, dude, I want to roll with this guy. I will literally roll with this guy for less money than go work for that guy for more money. And if someone says, bull, I'd go work for the guy for more money that I don't respect or want to look up to. If somebody goes to work for that guy, When someone offers more money, they're going to leave that guy and go work for someone else. But if someone goes to work for this guy, when someone goes to offer more money, but this guy right here is my mentor and he's changed my life, I'm indebted to that guy. I won't leave my mentor to go work for someone to make more money because I love my life with my mentor.

33:25Yeah. And what have you done to be able to quote unquote, be indebted? People feel indebted to you because of the change. Like what is the main thing that sparked this thing where they go, oh shit, like Andy's really changed things for me. yeah so you have to change their life like like so so there's three levels to leadership right like level one is self-leadership if you lead yourself others will want to be led by you right and so like if you ever want to like build something big in life number one you have to change your own life before you can change anyone else's so it starts with yourself and then number two once you change your life other people are going to want to be led by you it's it's also what's tied into that would be like uh levels of leverage in a sense it's like okay you you were fat and then you got ripped you now can help people that's your leverage point there yeah and who helped that guy and breathe life in that into that guy to make him want to make that change whoever did that that guy is indebted to that guy yeah okay because there's eight billion people in the world and one person saw something in that person that no one else saw do you reckon you could flip it on its head.

34:33This is an interesting thought around, say you're being driven from a pain of someone doing you wrong, not someone giving you a hard thing, right? Where you go, this person's done something wrong for me. And now I'm now hungry to go, I need to make change in my life. If anything, if you think about it, then you go and make the change. You can be like, thank you, man. Like, thank you. Like for me, when my ex broke up with me and I was so heartbroken and I was like in the dumps and I was living on a credit card and I had nothing to fucking do. I had no idea what the fuck I was doing. And I was like, well, I got to go in and back against the wall, posting content every day, grew like a hundred thousand followers in a month, whole life change.

35:13I went back to, I was like, I was like, thank you. I actually don't know what I would have done if you stayed with me. Yeah. I, number one, I don't want to roll with you anymore, yeah but i really appreciate that because i needed that listen yeah i don't want to roll with you anymore like but but i like i just like i owe you like like listen there's this thing it's like it's like my good buddy his name's andy frizella right he's he's uh he's an influencer and uh he just makes these analogies all the time like this girl like like broke up with him when he was 16, made fun of him, laughed at him.

35:49And he's like, dude, I'm, you know, I'm like 30 years old. I'm 40 years old. I still think about her. He's like, every time I just, like, I know today that she knows that like, she screwed up, like not betting on me. And by the way, like, I love that she didn't bet on me because that allowed me to, to put some, you know, chips on my shoulder so that like, anytime that I don't feel like doing what it is that I know I need to do, I'm just like, yeah like i'm not gonna let her be right about me remember what i want you said i'm not gonna let them be right about what they said about me do you think that drive can only last so long though no this shit can run to the grave man do you think that's do you think it's holding a little though do you think it's it's it can be negative because it's kind of like why are you still thinking about you're soft and weak and you know you don't take care of yourself and you don't eat clean food and you don't go to the gym and you got the wrong intentions all right yeah then then maybe it could be bad, but dude, I think it could be fuel, man.

36:48Like, okay, you stay up till 2 a.m. in the morning. The alarm goes off at 5 a.m., time to get up for the gym. How many people are like, I'm just going to sleep in? Most of the world. I'll just restart tomorrow. No, dude. Like, when that alarm goes off at 5 a.m., you get up. You know why? Number one, because there's a lot of people that are hoping that you'll go back to sleep. No. No, you think about that ex-girlfriend. You think about that crap. You think about all the people that didn't believe in you. And you got an opportunity right now to yourself when no one is watching to actually be a real winner and get up and do the hard things.

37:33We call those test days. When you get up on those days, when you know that no one else would get up for that, when you do it on those days, dude, those are the days that you really have to prove to yourself that you have what it takes and that all of them, they're all wrong. And at the end of the day, on those days, you're most proud of yourself. Yeah, well, the reason we're getting up is to better ourself. And so the days where it's harder, we're bettering ourself even more. So we're actually getting more from that day, which is the reason we're getting up in the first place. so the challenge the tired can't open my eyes want to press snooze more of a reason to get the fuck up and and go yeah well because you get an opportunity to push through man most people don't have to push through nothing man look patrick bet david we talked about him in the very beginning was talking about you know like goliath he always talks about like like people that big build big stuff like sometimes they like like they just well number one all of them lose their mind to like modern day society.

38:36Like, like they're, like they're, they're, they're misunderstood. Like a lot of them honestly will almost become like hospitalized to build like big businesses. And people are like, is that healthy? I'm like, dude, do we look healthy? Yes. Like most people never get to a hundred percent of what they're capable of. And they really run like David Goggins talked about like most people like get to like 20 or 30 percent and then they back off dude that next 70 is literally like walking in hell but it feels so good winners live where quitters quit so when people quit that's where the winning is done yeah i i love the thing alex mosey says he's like i get happier about the harder it is because i know far less will follow oh yeah yeah yeah and listen however it's said it's just when it starts to get difficult that's when the growth starts yeah it doesn't even need to be any it doesn't need to be fluffed up at all it doesn't need to have any of this it's more about like you're going through the shit good like it's it's and and um as jocko willink would say like good like fucking good go go through the shit do it anyways and the mundane, boring stuff.

39:57Like, listen, building our business as big as it is and building it where it is, all the growth was doing the things that are boring and mundane and repetitive and doing like the unsexy shit. Like shooting the content, doing the fun stuff, like that's cool. But like the stuff that goes behind that, like that's where the business is built. That's where the money's made that's where the cool stuff happens and no one wants to do that stuff they just want to do the stuff that feels good to feel good stuff yeah do you do you believe in like phases of life do you think when we when like i speak to a lot of people and they might be like okay i'm in my build phase and oh yeah and then i'm in like our family phase we need to like raise the family and then there's maybe like a fill a trip like uh like a kind of like a giving phase where you want to like help give back and whatever it might be do you believe there's any like progressions or do you think you can kind of blend them all in and just make it a life yeah well anytime you're building something the build is the bitch okay like me and Jackie have a really big team we got a team of a hundred plus people here and we're just an army of army of psycho people um each one of those people when they were onboarded to our company needed to have a certain amount of time spent with them we had to go through a certain amount of pain with each one of them we had to go through certain breakthroughs with each one of them.

41:24We had to go through a proof stage with each one of them. We had to show each one of them how much we love them, each one of them. We had to show them how to be an alpha amongst all alphas, but there's no competitiveness that's going to be bad competitiveness inside of us. To build this thing, I get why so many people don't have teams because it was hell. But you know what? So worth it. And so where we're at now, yeah, it was totally different when we were building all that stuff to where we are today. But me and Jackie are the drivers of the company. And so when the driver of the company, the driver lets his foot off the gas, all of this goes away.

42:09It's interesting talking about your dynamic with yourself and Jackie and just seeing you guys keeping on pushing each other and leveling up. When I went to the brotherhood event, I was blown away because you invite everyone's wives. Yeah. It's the most important thing. Why is it the most important thing? Well, I told you like, there's two things that'll ruin a man's life, not having a brotherhood and then being with the wrong person. Like if you, if you grow, but whoever you're with isn't growing, they're just going to resent you, dude. They're going to hate you. And so like we grow people so fast that like if their partners aren't with them, like their partners are going to hate them.

42:48So they need to be on the mission. They need to be aligned. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Dude. Like if it doesn't happen, you're not going to make it. Like, and you know, and at the end of the day, like, like I'm all about like, like team, an individual can be beat, but a team can't be beat. You can't beat a team, man. Look dude, if you're better than me and we're both the same But you're like better than me, but my team is better than your team. We're going to kick your ass If my wife is more powerful than your wife And she's can build me up make me strong But your wife cuts your legs off and you always have chaos at home and your personal life is in the trash can Dude, you're going to get your ass kicked dude.

43:29We're going to smoke you Even if you're better than me But my personal life is better than your personal life because me and my wife are closer than you and your wife Dude, I'm going to smoke you, dude. In two years, you're going to burn your whole life to the ground. You're going to self-sabotage. And I'm not. You may beat me today, but I'll pass you in two years. I think those that have the best personal life, those that have the best families, those that don't sacrifice things that are important to them in their life, like being a great father or being a great husband or being close to God or taking care of your health, if you just don't sacrifice that stuff, Someone may get a little further than you today, but dude, you're going to beat their ass in the ground down the road.

44:14And I'm building a 50-year business. Anyone can be a little flash in the pan and make money for two or three years. Dude, I'm going to make money for decades. And I'm going to build a legacy life. I'm going to be a legend, dude. And I want everyone else to, too. And that's why you have to take your family with you. And that's why all of this matters. And yeah, there's phases that are really hard. But you have to suffer with the people that you love as you go. And if they know that they're a part of the mission and the vision, they'll fight for you the whole way. And if you don't take them with you, they'll resent you and they'll hate you.

44:49And that's why so many women hate their husband's businesses, because they're never a part of any of it. I love it, man. I know you don't like praise, but I just want to commend you for one thing before we wrap up. uh i see you online and then there's perception online and for me you see so much polarity of like people loving people hating there's so much like controversy controversy around your name and for being completely honest um when people found out i was doing this i had like multiple people say don't do that and they're like oh he's a criminal or something and i'm like i'm like I've met him and I went there to, I was like, I was here and I just went, I don't really care about any of this stuff online.

45:33I honestly, I just want to meet people. If I connect and I can see what they're like in real life. Um, and when I met you and when I was here a couple of weeks ago, I just went, what you're doing here is special and it's so cool to see. And it's so inspiring. And I just, even just like after the gym session, I was just going, I want to spend more time here. I want to be here. I just like, I'm, I'm, I'm motivated as hell. It's like, we're doing six figures a month. Let's get to seven figures a month. Like I want to go. And, um, and I think you, you unlock this really good energy and people. And I just want to commend you for that.

46:06And thank you for your time today. Thank you. And listen, I want to tell you something. Um, whatever anybody says about you online or whatever, like, look, man, most people hate a trophy that only winners get. And honestly, everyone was eventually like at one point in their life someone they didn't want to be. You know what I'm saying? Yeah. Like, dude, like five years ago, like you were a loser. So was I. And so like, if I would have met you five years ago, like you probably didn't like that guy either. Yeah. So like, okay, cool. But like, meet me now. Yeah. Like, isn't that all that matters?

46:40Like, like, isn't it sad that like people want to go and like see who people used to be instead of like seeing who they are today? Look, if a girl used to be a slut. She was a crappy freaking person. She betrayed everybody. She didn't like herself. But today she's like a beautiful person. She helps people. She's a good mom. She takes care of other people. Like, why in the hell are we talking about who she used to be? Like, let's go find out who she is now. See, and that's the deal. Like a lot of people want to find the bad in everything, but the best people in the world and the winners want to find the best in everything.

47:12And I'm going to tell you this, man, people can change. And so like, that's like our message is that like you can be the comeback kid. And so like, I just want to say like you're never defined by your last mistake. And if you ever fall off, just like get back on. And if people are laughing at you and they're mocking you and they're hating you, guess what, man? Like only the weird people come back. Average people quit, but they don't make statues of the haters and the critics. So those of you that laugh, those people that told you don't go meet that guy, those people, they'll never make statues of those people.

47:41They only make statues of the crazy dreamers. and the crazy dreamers and the people that really go out and make big impact in the world and change the world and do cool stuff and they become legends those are the people that just never quit those are the people that had to go through hell those are the people that had to be who they didn't want to be before they could figure out who they wanted to be you have to sometimes become a bad person before you can understand that being a bad person sucks does that make sense yeah and And so like, honestly, like I don't want to go learn from a preacher who's never got drunk or never had a bad day or never betrayed anybody or never gotten a fistfight.

48:23I don't want to learn from that guy. That guy can't relate with me. Yeah. I'm lost. I'm broken. I got issues. I want to know that that guy came back and changed. And I want that guy to breathe life into me. That makes me feel like I can change too. And so if you're looking for the perfect mentor, it's definitely not us. but I promise you we did so many things wrong. We've had so many bad leaders that now we know how to lead right by all the mistakes that we made. And also by like the people that we didn't have in our life and by the things that we've done wrong, like now we know how to do it right.

48:53That's why I say like, like we're in the knowledge industry now, like learn, like you're going to make mistakes. And when you do, losers are going to try to hang you on it. Rise up, go change. don't let them be right and dude like just be the comeback kid keep changing and keep coming back like the devil wants to hold you down and he'll try to use negative people to make you feel like you know you can't come back and you always can and so anyways i'm just saying as we're finishing like i have massive love for anyone who can come back after they get their ass kicked and that's why the movie Rocky was like so powerful because he came back.

49:34And then at the end he won. And you remember the look on Apollo Creed's face when he came back and he was like, dude, this guy's not going to stop. And so like, I think that like in the end, like if you don't ever stop and you just keep coming back, I think in the end, I think everybody's going to look up to you and I think you're going to be a legend. Yeah. And you're gonna be like, that guy was a psychopath. And I think that the world needs more psychopaths right now that won't quit. Yeah. And so I love it, man. And so I just want to say you're super young, man. So, but at any age, anybody watching this right now, they can come back.

50:04You know, they can be whoever you don't like who you are right now. Change. It's cool. And you can humans are resilient, dude. The resilient dude, you can go from being a total loser to being one of the greatest people in the world and change everybody's life. That's the world we live in right now. From the publisher

Andy Elliott’s story is pure grit. He’s been betrayed, hit rock bottom, and built it all back up not just once but over and over. Today he leads the largest sales training company in the world and still wakes up hungry every day.

We talk about building a self-belief that cannot be shaken, why suffering is the best teacher, how to lead yourself before anyone else, and why the right partner can be your biggest competitive edge. This one will light you up.

People hate on Andy, people told me not to interview Andy, but I make sure I make my judgments based on my experience, not everyone else’s projections. I enjoy my time with Andy, I’m fascinated by him and I think you will be too.
