In short
Episode topic: Jade Cargill’s interview on the No Contest Wrestling Podcast, covering her “I am the storm” mindset, her upcoming Night of Champions match vs. Tiffany Stratton, and two major viral/serious in-ring incidents (a wig coming off during a fatal four-way and a severe head cut from stairs). The hosts also discuss the Night of Champions card and predictions.
Guest backgrounds
Jade Cargill is an “Omega Level threat” WWE performer and Grand Slam champion. She previously guest-hosted/appeared on the Rich Eisen Show (Zoom) and is married to Cincinnati Reds legend Brandon Phillips.
Key claims
Jade says she “controls her elements” and changes the “weather” wherever she goes. She argues the wig incident was misunderstood and that extensions/wigs are common for women of her background. She frames online hate as jealousy and “clickbait” rather than wrestling performance.
Notable examples
Her wig was sewn on and still ripped off during a match vs. Charlotte, Lyra, and Sol Ruca; Daphne helped secure it mid-match. Separately, she hit stairs, suffered a deep, crooked brow injury requiring a plastic surgeon and multiple layers of stitches, and later turned it into a character “battle wound.”

0:37Ladies and gentlemen, fans of the No Contest Wrestling Podcast,
0:43O'Shea:welcome to another episode of What You Love, NCW. I am the hero that you love to hate. O'Shea Jackson Jr., a.k.a. Petty Guerrero. Hey, yo, it's me, it's me. It's the T-double-O, that J-I-double-G. to TJ Jefferson. What's cracking, man? Man, Father's Day. That was your... Another... This weekend, yeah. You know, this is my... This past weekend. My eighth going around the sun, you know. I'm a father. Happy Father's Day to you, brother. Thank you, man. I appreciate you. You know, my brother is a father now. My dad been a father since I've been alive, and my brother and all that. Yeah! It was like a great day.
1:25O'Shea:You know, three of us just fathering it up. I hope all the dads out there had a great weekend this past weekend. Yes. And I want to thank you, TJ, because my dad loved his Jordans. Oh, word? Yeah. I got him. The world's best dads. Okay. Yep. And he liked the tongue. He was talking about, like, he picked up the threes and he was like, I remember when I couldn't afford these. Right. You know, he said, you know, most dads, like, my dad's era, they got ties. you know they got ties every year I'm in the era of getting J's wait a minute now those threes came out in 88 so that's right though because yeah his money was being he saw easy by them forgot about that yeah he should have been able by 88 to afford those but we know Jerry was mismanaging his money allegedly he eating Fatburger and they eating Steak and Loaster yeah I got it yeah man you remember that But, yeah, so it was great.
2:27O'Shea:And for, you know, his birthday was June 15th. Yeah, right before that. I hooked him up with the Levi 3s then. And so he got the world's best dad 3s. And so he loved his life. So I wanted to thank my man TJ because they come with a little trophy in it. And on the back it says, thank you for making me believe I could fly. Ah, ah, ah, my boy. Speaking of which, I got some Amamonye Jordan 3s here right now. I've never known how to say that. You know Amamonye? Yeah, man. These are dope. Bless you. but uh we got night of champions coming up this weekend this saturday man and uh we got a special guest as well to help uh promote and we want to talk to her because she had something to happen to her that went a little viral she hasn't spoken publicly about it so why not have your first words about it we're your boys we're your boys you know you know knock your top off a little bit pulled his muffet cap back blue Jade Cargill will be joining us on the No Contest Wrestling Podcast fans of the Rich Eisen Show will know that this might not be our first time interviewing her but it is the first time on No Contest and that's the only time that matters you know three weeks ago or so you were guest hosting the Rich Eisen Show we had her zoom in and that was dope we got chopped up with her a little bit but now we get her at an hour we need some detail on certain things and moments.
3:54And we need to know what happened. I have to do it. So let's get to it. There's no way of avoiding it.
3:58O'Shea:Let's get to it. Hey, let's get to it. TJ, they said that fate whispered into the warrior's ear, you're weak, you cannot withstand the storm. And that the warrior whispered back to fate, I am the storm. And joining us on the No Contest Wrestling Podcast officially for the first time, the Omega Level threat herself, Jade Cargill. Welcome to NCW. Thank you for having me. I love that Omega level. Let's go. A little X-Men reference. Put it on a T-shirt. I know, right? We need to make some money. Why not? Now, you know, there's a lot of athletes and, you know, historical figures, Maya Angelou, Martin Luther King, LeBron James, Mark Twain.
4:45O'Shea:They all have a quote that kind of ends with, I am the storm. What does being the storm mean to you? Everything. I say this all the time. I feel like I control my elements. I get people to stand up. I get people to sit down. I tell you what to say. I tell you how to act. That's my role. So I feel like I am the storm. And I promise you, everywhere I go, the element of the weather changes. Like right now, it's about to start raining. And I really think wherever I go, I change the weather. so um and that's something i really believe and that's my superpower absolutely now we know the um you know the tides are looking a little familiar with your opponent that's coming up now you guys got some history i thought y 'all put on some bangers when y 'all you know we're going and uh you know now we get to kind of go back into your bag a little bit with strategy against Tiffany Stratton.
5:44O'Shea:What's going into your head as you get ready for Saturday? You know, we've had, what, this is our fifth match, fourth, fifth match that we're going into right now. I think we know each other very, very, very well. I think you guys can expect a lot from that match, being that she's so athletic and acrobatic, and I'm a powerhouse and athletic at the same time. I love working with Tiffany because we can do things that a lot of people can't do. And that's why I like working with women who can do all this crazy acrobatic things and they're athletic because we can put on a show. But going into this match, I mean, I'm doing it, I'm looking at it the same like I always have done.
6:24I'm going to go out there, do my job, take that title because I never looked at the U.S. title as something that I wanted. It's just something that she has and she didn't mind her business. She's in my way and I need to make a point.
6:37O'Shea:This will be her, grabbing this is her way onto Grand Man Slam champion, Jade Cargill. It's a closer step. You got to collect all those. Yeah, man. John Cena just snuck and got his right before he left. So you got to make sure you establish that. All right. So, you know what, Jade? Let's, you know, I think, you know, you came on the Rich Eyes and Show when Shea was hosting, which was big for us. You know, we got to chop it up a little bit. So I feel like we're friends now. So I feel like we can talk about anything at this point. Oh, gosh. I feel like I know where this is going. Go ahead. Go ahead.
7:10Go ahead. Go ahead. Be the first. Be the first. Be the first. Go ahead. We black people. We get it. I know what you guys understand. If not us, then who? Let's talk about it. I would prefer. Go ahead. Let's go viral. Fatal four-way match. Yeah, it was crazy. Great match going on. You find yourself, it's you, Charlotte, Lyra, Sol Ruka. Find yourself sitting on the turnbuckle. You and Charlotte are having a little go. Bang, bang, bang. And all of a sudden, can I just say it? Yeah, go ahead. My wig came off. The wig came off. Yeah. But the crazy thing, like, my wig, people want to sit there and talk about it's the glue or whatever, whatever.
7:51No, my wig was sewn on. I sewed my wig. That's how hard my wig was pulled. Oh, wow. That's a hard hit. That's how hard my wig, my hair, like pieces of my hair came out too. But, you know, it's not a secret. I say all the time I wear a wig. Like what woman of my color do we know? Let's be real. Let's not be stupid. People can be very slow and very stupid, but we all know it's clickbait. People just ride on the train, try to trend and try to jump on the hate train. And it is what it is because people always just, you know, like my wrestling, especially this year, I've been doing a very, very good job.
8:29So it's like, what else can we talk about? What else can we say? You can't say I'm ugly. you can't say like what can we what else can we say we're improving so what else so you know this was just a time for people to try to jump on a bandwagon and make a point or whatever you want to call it when I always say this a wig I talk about it all the time it's one of my biggest fears and it happened and more than anything I'm alive more than anything now I am shocked I finished that match I'm not going to lie to y 'all I don't know if you know I was starting to roll out
8:58O'Shea:I was starting to roll out And that's why Charlotte got one over on me because I was wearing that wig that entire time. But if it wasn't for that, I would have definitely took that match home. But listen, I mean, a lot of things was going through my mind. And when it happened, I screamed out Charlotte's soul. I was like, Charlotte! I was so mad. I was so angry. I was so angry. And I was just like, I can't stop right now. I can't stop. Like, I can't stop right now, you know? and I persevered and I kept on going and I was like, all right, well, y 'all got the best of me this time and I got to keep going.
9:34But my wig was sewed on. My wig was glued on. Everything you could think of. It was just the fact that it was like literally pulled off. It was literally pulled off. My hair came out as well with it. And I rocked. Actually, my hair grew down here like way below my shoulders and I cut it just to make a point. Like people don't understand and what's funny about it all is thankfully my bald cap came off as well because imagine if my bald cap was still on my head people would have really thought i was bald like that's the crazy thing about it so but it's just ignorance and i think this is a great opportunity to teach people about the culture and let people know because everybody every single woman maybe like three women or four wears extensions wears a wig.
10:26There's several of us that wear wigs. People are just ignorant and stupid and they just want to jump on the bandwagon. But hey, you know what? That lets me know, good or bad, I always trend. I always trend. People always try to find a reason to slam dunk and what else can you do when you're Jay Cargill? You know, it's funny. The amount of people online, first of all, that were like, I didn't realize it was a wig. Like what? Like she changed length all the time. Right? So that's the thing. But, you know, let's talk about it. You get hit with the superplex, right? And then I see... Oh, my God. I see Daphne run...
10:59Ref Daphne ran over to you and you guys... And of all people, you knew she knew what you would go... I saw you guys had a little bit of a... A little bit of a conversation. What did she say to you? Or what did you say to her? I don't even recall. I was just trying to freaking secure my wig. That's all I was trying to do because when I was at the top and it happened, in my mind, I'm like, how can I get down? How can I, like, avoid this? And if you think about it, and everybody, like, you know wrestling, there's no way I could get down. The only way I could go down was get flipped over. And I can't have one hand, exactly, and I can't have one hand on my head, you know, and I couldn't do that.
11:34I can land on someone, someone can land on me, I can land incorrectly. So I had to give them my arms. So when I fell...

So when she came over, I mean, as a black woman, she understood the panic and the mode I was in. And she was just like, it's on, it's on, it's on, it's on. And I literally, you can see me in my mind, because in my mind, I'm like, I was dropping all kind of curse words. But in my mind, I was like, I was starting to roll a little bit.
12:52You can see me like starting to roll because I was about to get out of there. I was definitely about to get out there, but I was just like, you know, I'm a team player. We got to keep this thing rolling. Mishaps happen. And I'm going to show them how you persevere at all.
13:06O'Shea:Right. Yeah, that is the perseverance because Lord knows if Daphne would have came up to me, I'd have been like, Oh, my God. Throw up the eggs. Throw up the eggs. I'm out this way. Hand me a shirt. Something. I always say, listen, if my wig ever come off, you can just roll me up. I don't even care. Like, call it a day. There was a lot of near falls after that. Yeah, there were. I know. I couldn't leave. I couldn't leave. Oh, my God, man. So I timed it. Okay? The whole thing only lasted two minutes and 34 seconds. Because I had last night. I was like, let's see how long. So it was super quick. But for you, I'm sure it must have seemed like an hour that that was out there.
13:43It felt like forever. I was fuming. I was just flustered. I was just so flustered. I was just thinking more so for the match and more so for these women who put on. But it felt like forever I was out there, y 'all. I don't think y 'all understand. That was my most embarrassing point. But guess what? I'm still alive. I'm still beautiful. Looking at you right now. With short hair or long hair, I'm still the bomb. So it's all good. It is all good. This is facts. So here's a thought that I had. Was there any point, did you think of just like ripping it off and throwing it? Hell no. What? What? You want to talk about people?
14:25Oh my god. And they were old braids too. They were old braids too. So the crazy thing though is like if they were fresh braids it would, oh my gosh, it would have looked like my top was back for real so it's just like everything just happens for a reason man like it all happens for a reason but there's no way and i remember jay coming up to me jay uso and just being like man you should have took that thing off i'm like i understand y 'all men think that's how it goes it will like and then the thing about it was i still had thread back here so i couldn't rip it off even if i wanted to because i had thread but y 'all i would have looked crazy.
15:04Somebody said I should have beat somebody with it. I was like, but I don't want to be a stereotype, y 'all. I don't want to do all that.
15:10O'Shea:Send us back. But listen, as long as I didn't make the shade room, we were okay. I don't want it to after this, so don't even try. You know, the funny thing is, you holding your head like that, right? If people didn't know, it looked like you were selling a blow to the head for a minute. And you stayed in. It seems like you hit all the spots you were in a perfect position to for the soul snatcher it was like everything was working kind of against you but you were still being where you needed to be and doing what you needed to do so props respect respect because i was on twitter and i said we all stopped this match for jade already in the comments you see like yeah she concussed what's going on with her head it was a lot it was a lot but it's just like the ignorance but you know what i'm gonna take that moment i'm going to do something really big with it because the ignorance in wrestling is so loud.
16:04It's so loud because so many women have lost extensions. So many women have had all kind of malfunctions with their wardrobe. And for some reason, they called it a botch when my hair is a part of my character. Like, what are we calling botches now? I think people are getting so loose with the word now. I think there needs to be a gatekeeper.
16:24O'Shea:Yeah. they get keywords from wrestling documentaries and feel like an expert afterwards it's crazy I know for a fact I've seen Charlotte's hair come out at least three times that I could think of off the top of the dome years ago so yeah it definitely happens it happens you know it happens but you know Jade it's like we talked about when you came on the Eisen show it's just like there definitely seems to be a jealousy when it comes to all things Jade Cargo and it makes sense. I love it for me. It makes sense because she's, and I don't mean this in a bad way, she's not relatable to normal people, man.
17:01The normal person can't relate to Jade Gargill?
17:04O'Shea:You had the dopest quote when you were on the Rich Eisen show. You know, Muhammad Ali is, your hands can't hit what your eyes can't see. Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee. When she was on here, she said, people hate what they can't be. Exactly. That's a bar. Exactly. Exactly. It's so weird because when I actually open up and I tell people, hey, this is my fear, they use it against you. So it's like, why would I sit up here and tell you guys or try to get personal and tell you all tell you all like how I feel and what I go through for you all to turn it around and try to stab me in the back when I'm being very vulnerable and telling you all, hey, this is one of my greatest fears that I have.
17:47But you learn from it. And this is what makes supervillains who they are. so I love that for me people are going to hate regardless and it's because I'm not relatable but I don't care to be relatable but at the end of the day I put on my jeans just like everybody else but for some reason people just try to find reasons to hate Jade and maybe it's because I'm what five years in a game and how many titles have I won maybe it's because my name rings bells more than people who have been in this game more than 10 plus years I can't help it I'm just blessed can't help it and you know there's nothing I can do people try to hate like you want to create a legacy for your kids and do something.
18:23So why would I put something down that's been given to me and I'm running with it? Get out of here. People are sick. It's the IWC, the I whine constantly. Yeah, man. I already have two things against me, so there's that. Those ain't real people, though. We all know that, right? They ain't real people. It's bots.
18:43O'Shea:It's bots. Now, accidents do happen. You prevail through that one. but another one that I as a fan was like oh no oh gosh what was it we didn't get a chance to talk about you can still see it but the night it happened I remember I think I texted you bro I ain't never seen so much face listen I've been wanting to bleed for a while I've been asking for blood for a while and I guess God said here you go they said here you go this is what you want but the cre is the moment was so surreal because those stairs were supposed to move so they were supposed to move when i hit it and that's why it happened the way it happened anyway i didn't know it was so bad because i remember in japan dakota hit me and i was bust open a little bit on my forehead and i was bleeding out a lot and i I actually thought it was her because it was on her and it was me.
19:46But so when I hit it and I seen a little blood, I was like, oh, OK, because your head bleeds more than normal. So I'm like, OK, all right. But I mean, like I look down and you can look at the video and a whole stream of blood just poured into my hand.
19:59O'Shea:Yeah. And I was like, oh, OK. It's our blood. But all I was thinking was like, dang, because I have a white wig. So I was like, oh, man, my girl's 40th birthday is tomorrow. I'm supposed to be going to turf. so I'm like dang like I guess I gotta figure out how I'm gonna clean this out of my head but then I got up and Daph was like you are bleeding and I'm like okay well it's probably not that bad like it's fine and then in unison the entire arena was like it just gassed because after what I did to Naya I was gonna get on the announcers table and just like beat my chest like King Kong and talk a lot of smack but then in unison the arena did that I was like, okay.
20:44And then all the women in the front row turned around and discussed. So I was just like, okay, this must be really bad. Because I can't see it. Everybody is seeing it. I can't see it. And then Dav came over and was like, I'm about to throw up the eggs. And I was like, no, no, no, no, no. I'm like, I'm good. I got one more thing to do. We good. We good. We good. We good. And we just kept going. I didn't know how bad it was. Like, because they threw a towel over me on the side. I was more upset with other things. and then we got to the back and Triple H said, yeah, we're going to have to see a plastic surgeon.
21:15And I was like, whoa, for you to say that, for you to say that must be bad because he's seen so much, right? And then I looked in the mirror and KO was there. He's like, oh, dang, let me get this picture. And I looked in the mirror and I just had my hand over my mouth. I was like, oh my gosh. This is really happening. But in my mind, everybody's like, how are you so calm? Because I was calm. and I was like you know I'm married like it's all good he better not leave me over some scar on my face like it's all good that's all I was thinking like and about the fact that now I'm probably going to miss my girl's 40th birthday that we planned over a year for but that's it that was it it was more so like it just felt like something heavy on my head I have a high pain tolerance so it wasn't terrible but all night because the plastic surgeon wasn't in that night I was just bleeding out all night long.
22:10So I would wake up like in an hour and blood was just poured all on my face. But it worked out. I mean, the plastic surgeon I went to did a phenomenal job. You can barely see it. And if anything, it's a conversational piece at airports and stuff. Not now, but especially when I had to put strips over it. People will always ask, what's wrong? And I'm like, oh, well, you know, I hit some stairs and then they figured out I was a wrestler and they couldn't believe I'm a wrestler. Like most people when they meet me, they're like, there's no way you wrestle. and you messed up your face. I'm like, yeah, it's cool, right?

22:41O'Shea:TJ, can you imagine being her husband walking through the airport and they got to ask her, what's wrong with your face? You don't think okay? Listen, you should see us going anywhere. I have so many marks on my arms and bruises. People probably think it's like a whole nother world at home. And I'm like, no, no, no, no, I'm a wrestler. And then they put two and two together. But so many people look at me when I have all these bruises on me, like, what did you do to her? Yeah, blink twice. Yes, exactly. I remember after the cut happened, I think they went to commercial. And if I'm not mistaken, you just rolled right up into the camera and you kind of screamed.
23:15And that's when I could see, I remember pausing it and going, oh, shoot. That is bad. It was like, you know, when the wind hit it. It was hanging off. It was hanging. My brow was like crooked, y 'all. Like the doctor had to go. It was three layers deep. I don't know how many stitches I had to get. Everybody asked that. I don't know. But it was three layers deep. and they had to cut because it was so crooked. I want y 'all to know I'm standing out here getting wet for y 'all.
23:40O'Shea:Oh, man. It's all good. They had to, it was so crooked, they had to cut my skin off to make it straight. So a whole part of my brow is off from that whole incident. But they had to quickly, because I wanted to make, you know, I asked for some blood. Let's get some blood when I seen it. Again, I didn't know how bad it was. But from what I was told was Triple H backstage was like, get it off her. Get the camera off her. It was so bad. You definitely got up in the camera and then, and you had all the yell right before commercial break. Let's make this money. Let's do this. Get my stone cold like moment.
24:18Let's do this. And it's kind of cool. That's what I was trying to do. It's kind of cool the way you accentuate it now with just like the little bit of paint that goes there just to remind people that he's there. I love the way you kind of flipped it and now use that as part of the character. Yeah. We got to get a stone black and white Jade Cargill tee on that screen. Right. They even think about that. You do. Listen, it's my thing now. You know, I think I look sexier than before with it. So it all works out. Jade, you mentioned your husband. Can we talk about him a little bit? Cincinnati Reds legend, Brandon Phillips.
24:49You know, we got to meet BP, not this past WrestleMania, but the WrestleMania before. And we got to meet him. And you'll know this story. He tells us, he comes outside to the park and we're like, oh, Brandon Phillips, BP, what's up? and he goes yeah I just was stuck in an elevator for now yeah at the hotel yeah do you remember what because you weren't with him so I can't and he was with your daughter so I can imagine what you felt when you heard this story did he call you from the elevator and tell you that they were trapped well he texted me because I had a show that day so he knows when I'm like on show mode like don't call me unless there's an emergency I'm gonna call you tell you I love you tell me good luck, kiss the babies.
25:30Like, he knows that. So he handled it very well. But it wasn't just him. It was my entire party. So it was all my girlfriends, their kids. Yeah, they were all trapped up. But it all worked out because they got some good, a good deal with the hotel at the end of the day. Good. So it worked out. But he was, he was fine. He gets a little claustrophobic when he's in, like, settings with a lot of people in the elevator. But apparently it took them a while to get them off, get them out.
25:55O'Shea:Yeah, he said it was, like, more than an hour. Yeah, well, my mama don't do well in elevators. That's what I can imagine. Right? And it was so many of them. It was like a party of 10 in there. It was kids and everything. You know, kids, they get really unsettled. Of course. I can just imagine what they were getting through. No doubt. Yeah, so we know you got, you know, you're in the rain for us. So we got two more for you and we'll wrap things up. All right, let's do it. But we got to ask about Night of Champions. going into this match against Tiffany. We know it's going to be fireworks nonetheless, but let the people who don't know know what they can expect from this match between you two who already have the history with one another.
26:36Just some athleticism. I think that we're a great pair. People say that we kind of are at odds when it comes to wrestling, but I think that makes the best matches. We have banger matches. We have banger spots. but as we know Tiffany should have never came into my business she should have mind her own business I was going after Charlotte and Alexa and then she wants to come in and just because she got nothing better else to do with that US title but I mean why not take it off her hands that's not something I was going for initially I'm trying to still get my title from Rhea but now I have to make a point and let's go for the Grand Slam baby a little pissed off a little side quest holding gold is holding gold Jay you know so exactly exactly but you know why not go for that one and when whenever ria comes back whenever whatever whenever she comes back i'll go after that one as well because goal is good on me better than anybody else in that locker room or jade you just elevate that title to depths in places that depths is low heights that it's never been so you can do that it looks so
27:43O'Shea:good on me it's so many different levels to it all right now we see we see drops hitting the camera so we gonna get you inside after this one question alright alright alright so we didn't get to ask you this on the Rich Eisen show so we gotta ask you here on NCW we ask everybody they first time on you're in a bar having a good time or on a beach having a good time with your girlfriends or at the restaurant eating dinner you know and there are 50 ladies in that place that don't like Jade Cargif they hate storms if you will And so I need you to pick a team of you and four other WWE superstars to make sure the storm continues on.
28:29Does it matter if they're a heel or a face?
28:32O'Shea:Any era, any, whoever you want. It don't matter. You pick a face heel. Okay, any era. Jacqueline. Yeah. That makes sense. Yeah. China of course of course
28:53who else who else I probably would pick Bianca
28:58O'Shea:I was waiting I was waiting she's body body I know she'll definitely back it up and the fourth person has to be a woman you know who talks a lot of smack But when I would watch her, backed it up. Sasha Banks. Ooh. Okay. That's my goat right there. Mercedes Monet. All right. Yeah. Oh, that's what I was talking about, Jade. So you, Miss Jackie, Chyna, Bianca, and Mercedes. Yes, sir. All right. I love that. I like that. So, Jade, you know, we like to tell everybody before they go that once they come on, they're now family. Right? So you are NCW family, which means whenever you're in town, you come in.
29:42We let you know where the spare key is. you come in help yourself do whatever's in the fridge i know it's got to be healthy you know for me to eat it i eat what i want sometimes so we're okay not all the time not all the time all right so what we do though jade is in the in the in the garage we have a delorean you remember back to the future we got a delorean that you can go back in time so we're going to give you the keys right and i want you to go back in time and i want you to pick five women that you would have a WrestleMania main event with. Who would you like to test your skills against?
30:15So good, so good, so good. New summer arrivals are at Nordstrom Rack stores now. Get ready to save big with up to 60 % off brands like Rag & Bone, Levi's, Adidas, and Free People. 31:05O'Shea:slash student offer. While supplies last, ends June 30th. Terms at aka.ms slash college pc. Well, I'm honest. Chyna, Jackie, I have to pick women? Do I have to pick women? You can pick whoever you want. Hey, you're Jay Cardin. I ain't gonna tell you nothing, Jay. I don't wanna get slack. To be honest, because he's one of my idols and I have yet to meet him yet, just to like BS. Probably Stone Cold. Oh, okay. Oh, yeah. And that's just, I never met him, but he's one of the people that I'm like dying to meet. And that's a good WrestleMania payday too, Jade. Like what? Who are you telling? Who are you telling?
31:44What? And then you said one more? Four? You against China. You against Jackie. You against Stone Cold. Two more. Y 'all, I'm trying to think. This is hard. Y 'all hit me up with like these Mount Rushmore questions.
32:02Booker T. Cool. And that's just, he's one of my idols as well. Who else? Now it has to be a woman. You know, I wouldn't mind having a match with Trish.
32:16O'Shea:Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Stratus Faction. Legendary there. So we got Trish, Chyna, Miss Jackie, Stone Cold, and Booker T. Yeah. Yes. WrestleMania dream. I know, like, you know, Stone Cold and Booker T is crazy, but just being in the ring with them would just, like, highlight a moment. from me, okay? That's what's up. We ain't gonna argue with you either. No fear. No fear. I can't. What? Heck no. I back up. We appreciate you, you know, withstanding the elements for us. We want to get you out the range. Yeah, man. Anytime you want to come back, you know we love to take care of you. Ladies and gentlemen, the great Jade Cargill.
32:52O'Shea:Yes, indeed. Good luck. Thank you. I'm gonna need you guys to get a t-shirt or something. I need y 'all to represent, have a t-shirt or something. Don't tell us that. We love some merch. Okay. Absolutely. Appreciate you, Jay. Good luck. All right. Thank you. All right. Yes, indeed. Another solid one for the books. Uh-huh. Man, like, I know you're a bad guy. She's just too likable. Yeah, you know, and we touched on this briefly, man. And let's just keep it G real. Can we keep it G real? Oh, wow. The forced hatred that this woman gets, it goes beyond her just being a heel. You know? And so it's just like the IWC, like I said, it's not real people.
33:31It's not a real place. it's frustrating sometimes because we know where some of this hatred is coming from right and it's not from a good place it's not from a deserved place it's just some people are just so miserable with their lives that they want to hate on a sister looking like that because quite frankly people real people don't look like that they ain't built like that they can't do the things she does you know like legendary baseball player husband you know like woman who's built like that who has come this far in the wrestling business in such a short amount of time. It's like they give grace.
34:07There's other female wrestlers that they give so much grace to that, oh, well, she's just starting. You know, Jay was never afforded that grace, right? But she is not letting that hold her back, obviously. Her confidence is on another level. And she's getting better and better. She's getting better and better. So, yeah, you can keep, hey, keep hating all you want because she ain't stopping. You know what I mean? And it's almost like
34:30O'Shea:Some of y 'all are just playing characters at this point. Right. Some of y 'all are like, you got to be a hater because it's either in your handle and your display name or something. You just got to be a hater. And, you know, kick rocks, bro. You always got our support, Jade. Her life is good. Always welcome here. And good luck at Night of Champions. But there's a lot happening at Night of Champions. Yeah, speaking of, you know, let's take a look at the card. This Saturday, June 27th, 1 p.m. we have night of champions and uh look at this triple threat match we got here o'shea we got sammy zane and the american nightmare cody roads are going to be battling for that undisputed wwe heavyweight championship yeah now tj you know i get a little crazy you know i'm a little wild you know this is our chemistry you know sometimes you gotta reel me back but but i'll be damned if If I don't feel my hair sticking up, I'm like, this might be the perfect opportunity to give Sammy that belt.
35:36O'Shea:Give Sammy that belt. You know how that crowd get for him. They do. You know how that crowd get for him. Triple threat. Anything can happen. The stakes can go down. The stakes can go down. Like on SmackDown where Gunther wanted Sammy to be the referee. Yeah. Oh, my God. That was great. Then he kind of disrespected Sammy. So Sammy hit him with the quick count. Also, Cody defended this title twice, technically. Technically, yeah. You know what I mean? So people can never complain about Cody not showing up and defending this title. That would mean Gunther is 0-4 against Gunther. Yeah, so let's think about this, right?
36:09You have Gunther, retires Goldberg, retires John Cena, retires AJ Styles. You can't take all of that, right? All of that acclaim. Yeah. and just flush it down the toilet. No. You've got to build on this. You can't just let this man retire these legends and not do anything with it. Right. Therefore, you're saying, Sammy, I'm like, this might be the perfect time to put the belt, and no disrespect to Cody. We're Cody's fans. Yeah. But Gunther, again, let me repeat this to you. Retired Bill Goldberg. Retired John Cena. Retired Alan Jones Styles. Yeah. You cannot just make him a regular dude anymore.
36:52Is it really for Alan Jones? I believe that is. Damn. Yeah. You can't make him a regular dude, though, dog. You can't just have him losing matches because all of that equity that he built up is going to be for not. So it might be time. You're saying, Sammy. Yeah. I'm saying you got to do something with Gunther, man. Or why else was he chosen for those side quests? Could it possibly be that they was all just old?
37:19O'Shea:They were just older. They were over the hill. You're on your way out the door. Of course, Kumpet going to beat you. Now, when you got somebody like Cody at the top of his game, it's real hard to beat. He's not in his whatever, his 50s. It's really difficult, isn't it? So now, it's just like Sammy is one of those guys that he keeps scratching at the door, not even knocking, just a scratch. and we've seen how that Saudi crowd gets for him. And if there was ever a time, it would have to be some sort of triple threat. This is the first one in a long time that kind of feels like it makes sense, like a triple threat to happen because he's kept scratching at that door and now he's kind of weaseled his way into a feud.
38:08O'Shea:It might be one of those, like since he's the afterthought, there's no way Sammy's leaving with this. He's the last good guy. Yeah, there's no way Sammy's leaving with this. but because you think that that's when they pull the rug out from Undies. It's going to be interesting to see. Remember that Gunther lost his Intercontinental Championship to Sammy. Sammy Zane, right. Come on now. He got the formula. As a Cody fan, I don't know how I feel, but if I have to make a prediction, I think that title might be changing hands on Saturday. Who knows? I mean, oh man. That's my boy. You know, Nepple Baby's up by a billion.
38:48O'Shea:All right. But, man, I'm just thinking if there was any a time that somebody was like, yeah, Generico need that. All right. So next up, we have the finals of the King and the Queen of the Ring tournament. Yeah. Oh. Dun, dun. Oh. Dun, dun. No. Obafemi. J, you my boy. J, Uso for the King of the Ring this Saturday. What are you thinking? listen if if and if is a big one because i believe they announced that the finals for the men and the women's will air free on espn first hour is free on yes i'm not sure about they're going up first okay now you know what happens in the first hour though yeah you know who shows up always in the first hour yeah if i hear that guitar riff i might not even really hear it he might just come out you did before.
39:44O'Shea:But I'm saying Jey Uso Jey Uso gonna win that. You know it's funny we speak about the IWC everyone on there Jey Uso sucks Jey Uso this. Yeah. Watching Raw on Monday. Yeah. London crowd I think he was didn't run it back twice. It's like he almost ran it three times and Oba wasn't feeling it. Right. But it's crazy how people get online and say all this stuff about these wrestlers like Jey isn't this that and yet listen to the crowd. Are these people in the crowd not on the internet? I guess they're not. IWC, we don't believe you. You need more people. Come on, bro. It's no way Oba wins and then has a title match at SummerSlam when we know that's got to be the graveyard of Brock Lesnar.
40:36O'Shea:Minneapolis. SummerSlam. We think. We don't know enough. We thought the graveyard was in Las Vegas, Nevada, while we're sitting there watching him take off his boots. Everyone's saying, I don't know if this is going to be Brock's last stand. That Vegas, that was a real moment, and it really was his graveyard. But if it's anything that Deadpool and Wolverine has taught us, you can be brought back to life if it's a big pile of cash coming at you. We know there's nothing but money, money, money floating around. You know what? It would make sense for Brock to come disrupt this match but man it would make sense for him to come and disrupt this match yeah but then you have Jay against Cody or Gunther or Gunther or Sammy there ain't no way oh see now I'm just now I'm gonna talk to myself that's what I was leading everything I thought we do that's what I was leading to because SummerSlam main event is not gonna be Jay against Sammy Zane yeah no It's not going to be Jay against Gunther again.
41:44It's got to be Raheem against Jay. It has to be, right? It has to be, right? It's not.
41:54It's not. And Oba does this.
41:59O'Shea:We don't know nothing. We don't know shit. Oba smashes somebody night one. Right. He smashes somebody else night two and he wins a belt. Yeah. Oh. Think about that. That could happen. That could happen. That could happen. So who really knows? But he would have to go up against my, your, our tribal chief. Wow. They're going to jump his ass. The numbers are not on over. They're going to jump his ass. So this is going to be interesting to see, man. It's interesting to watch. We thought we came to a conclusion about the men's championship, right? that undisputed title. Yeah, we thought. And then we got to this King of the Ring and we realized, oh, wait a minute.
42:44That can't happen if this happens. So look, it's actually what I kind of dig, right? I hate when things get ruined. I hate when things get spoiled. We don't know what's going to happen.
42:55O'Shea:Right now, me and you look like that Charlie. Charlie J. Like, it's always Sonny. But then this can happen. So I honestly don't know a man, and that's why I'm excited to watch this because there are so many ways that they could go with this. Just don't mess it up is all I'm saying. All right, what do we have next? Of course, well, we got the women's now. The queen of the ring. Ladies first. Liv. Olivia Morgan against EO Sky. And Gianna Dario. Liv, the women's world champion going up against EO Sky. For the right to go for the women's undisputed. so we all thought that this was going to be a judgment day type thing right where we might see uh raquel and live go at it they they did not give that to us they are making live look like everything she claims to be the the greatest women's champion of all time she took out charlotte flair you know jade cargill be fab and me chin they they jump carlotte charlotte messed up her knee Liv took advantage took Charlotte out on Friday so now Io Liv how do you see this playing out it's it's it's a weird spot because I know what I said before of like this is a perfect time for Stephanie to come in and you know get her revenge handle her business but then if Io wins Queen of the Ring she's not picking Rhea no she's gonna pick Liv cause I just beat you it's a rematch of the match we just watched and like how we selling that we just watched the match now we're about to watch it again SummerSlam I mean it can be done it still makes sense no matter what we say everything can be done that's what we've learned but like it's just weird that like oh it's gonna be a rematch of what we just watched dope that doesn't feel like what if they put on a banger and they're very they're very capable dog of putting there's also a chance that you know what if Stephanie were added to some triple threat that's at least a different match true that but like yeah it's puzzling something's gotta happen you know in my mind I'm kind of thinking one of the Judgment Day hard R's might do something the lowercase r?
45:16no the hard R's I know they both hard ours but one is uppercase and one is for sure lowercase one of them maybe gets involved directly or by accident cost live the match you know there's ways they could go with this and I kind of I'm kind of thinking that that's going to be the way this happens somehow Raquel or Roxanne are going to get involved in one way or the other cost live the match because giving Liv Morgan this win and we're Liv Morgan fans you're now putting her on maybe Mount Rushmore is that what they want to do maybe that's it maybe that's the plan to put Liv you know as Special Ed said your idol the highest title numero uno or you know we have EO Sky possibly the best women's wrestler on earth that's earth with an F you know so yeah This is going to be interesting because there are a lot of ways, again, that this could go.
46:20Don't really have any idea, dog. Don't really have any idea how it's going to happen. But, again, that's why we watch.
46:26O'Shea:And that's why y 'all come to us because we don't have any idea. We entertain it and we cause it like we see it. But if I have to make a prediction, I'm going to make that prediction that one of the Judgment Day ladies somehow gets involved in this and costs live this match. Like I said, whether on purpose or by accident. Easy, my little racial slurs. So speaking of championships, we got another title match. Trick Willie! Whoop that trick! Against Ricky Sanks for the United States Championship. Yes. You know, Ricky, I like Ricky. Yeah. Ricky's money. Ricky's nice on the mic. He's good in the ring.
47:08Ricky has a pinfall victory over Obafemi, of all people. Yeah. Okay, so that means Ricky is -
47:14O'Shea:After four DDTs, two of them which were on the outside of the ring. Yeah, so he had to unload the barrel. Yeah. You know, he had to, every clip was just like spent. But he's one of the few people that can say they got a dub over Oba. Yeah. You know, so, but Trick Willie is just, he's right now - Height of his powers. He's at the height, man. And, you know, you got kids in the crowd wearing furs. Yep. You know, internationally, they're all singing Whoop That Trick. Trick Willie is having his moment right now. And unfortunately for Ricky, I don't see that change. And I think Trick comes out of this and still is whatever announcer they have will be announcing, I think.
47:54O'Shea:I think the same. I want to point out the fact that that crowd was still chanting Mello. They're still chanting Mello after Ricky and Mello's match where Ricky went over. They're still chanting Mello. I think if anybody would be able to take that title off of Trick, it would be Mellow. Because remember all the work that Ilya and Mellow put into that title, and then for the match at Mania to be the way that it was and Trick to get the U.S. title, it would only be right. And also, who knows Trick better than Mellow. Trick Mellow Gang. And if you don't know, you need to go back and research. That story writes itself right there.
48:37Yeah. So I think you're right. If anyone takes the belt off of Trick, it might be mellow. But for right now, I expect a great match. Yeah. But I think Trick holds on to the United States.
48:47O'Shea:Absolutely. Especially when they got, you know, Yachty out there with the can still. The numbers game is still a real thing. But, yeah, Trick Williams. And up next. You got a steel cage. Boy. You're ready for this to be done. It ain't nothing like beating a dead horse. Get your ass up. You know, this storyline, it really had so much more going for it until life starts laughing. Injuries in life, yeah. It kind of took away what could have been a really, really dope feud. Well, even a faction, remember? Yeah, a faction. A faction, and then everyone getting hurt. It looks like, you know, I'm rereading Bob Backlund's book for probably the fourth time now, and he would say, always back in the earlier WWF days, like steel cage match, that's when you knew it was over.
49:40That's when you knew the feud was done when they put you in a cage. And I think that that's maybe, I almost said probably, but I had to catch myself. I don't know if this is going to be the end, but it's going to be Seth Rollins against Braun Breaker in a steel cage. We know there's some animosity there. Those two don't like each other. So I'm looking for, man, I'm looking for a hard-hitting match and probably the vision is going to get involved. Do we see the returning Bronson Reed?
50:09O'Shea:Numbers game is still a real thing. Numbers game is still a thing. So we'll see. But yeah, Seth Rollins, Braun Baker, still a cage match. And we'll see what happens to this feud after this. And I feel like it's worth noting that at the time of this recording, Braun Baker is actually, the tag titles are up on Raw. He's in a fight right now, So we don't know whether or not he's lost this title yet at the time of this recording. But I know going in, how I feel about him going against Seth right now, I don't know what Seth winning does for Bron Breaker, like as a character. I don't know what him taking that defeat does.
50:49O'Shea:And Seth is in a weird spot because we know where things were supposed to go. This is supposed to be a main event feud right here. with the big belt on the line and things like that, but injuries and yada, yada, yada. I don't know if they have a spot for Seth after he wins. Like, if he wins, then it's like, what do we do with him? If he loses, what do we do with him? The thing is, you can do anything with Seth Rollins because he's one of the best wrestlers in the world. So Seth is a guy who he's reached that point where a loss doesn't hurt Seth. Exactly. You know what I mean? Which is where I'm headed.
51:30Seth, losses don't hurt Seth, but you still, he's still a commodity. He's still a 1A type guy. He's still a guy that can headline.
51:39O'Shea:One of the greatest of my lifetime. Yeah, he's still a main eventer. So it is kind of weird to see him catching L, but he's a guy who can, you know, who can survive in L. So I think ultimately, I think what they want to do is they want Seth and Roman at WrestleMania. Ooh. I think that we have to have that because we don't know. How much longer Roman's going to be? You know what I mean? So at some point, you got to have that. And so I don't know if that starts this weekend or if it starts a little later down the road, but I would anticipate that that's what they want for WrestleMania one-on-one.
52:14So we'll see.
52:15O'Shea:And we are oozing with anticipation. Patient. Knight of Champions, there it is. There you have it. We all are going to be watching to see where the direction We are headed as a WWE universe. As we head towards SummerSlam. Yeah, man. And I'm excited. Yeah. What am I not? Looking forward to it. It's going to be early on the West Coast, 10 o 'clock. I like that. I'm going to be in Detroit. You're going to be in Detroit for Big 3. Yeah. Congrats on that. I might as well be on the No Contest Wrestling pod. I'm telling you what, after what I saw in that, what was the second, the Riot game? Yeah, the second game of the day.
52:50Good reason they were called the Riots. Boy, you've been together. We all black cheering. But congrats on that. I saw you holding it down, doing some work for CBS. You were interviewing your dad and Dr. Dre, Ice Cube and Dr. Dre, and that was pretty dope to see those two sitting next to each other.
53:07O'Shea:Yeah, I was about to ask Dr. Dre how he felt about me doing that for free, but then my dad was next to me, so I just sent it back to him. Like, isn't it weird that I do this for free? Love of the game? Isn't that crazy? Whatever. Siri, call mom. All right, but yeah. yeah man that's it hope you guys enjoyed the Jake Cargill interview we got to get her in studio get a longer interview with her because both times we got to sit with her she was out there in the rain man who else is going to do that for your boys exactly man oh no wait I forget TJ tell the people where to find us that's right so for your air gate if you want to listen to us on no contest wrestling all you have to do is check us out We're on the ESPN pod.

Stand back- a Storm is coming! This week O'Shea and T.J. catch up with former WWE Women's Champion Jade Cargill who braved the elements, literally, as she stood in the rain for No-Contest Wrestling. Jade opened up about her recent wig incident on SmackDown and gave her first public comments on the matter. She also had some words for current Women's United States Champion, Tiffany Stratton who will be her opponent this weekend at "Night of Champions". Cargill will look to add that title to her resume. She also picks her Bar Fight Crew and names her dream WrestleMania opponents.
