In short

Exclusive interview with WWE’s Royce Keys, plus No Contest Wrestling’s preview chatter for SummerSlam and a recap/discussion of Raw and other card matches.

Guest backgrounds

Royce Keys (“Blue Mohawk”) is a WWE performer with a long indie/travel background and a Bay Area upbringing in East Palo Alto. He credits his grandparents (Big Mama and Papa) for keeping him on track, and says wrestling was a constant in his home because his grandparents attended shows near the Cow Palace. He also references training hardships (early boots/tights, first bumps hurting badly) and winning WWE’s Andre the Giant Battle Royal last year.

Key claims

Royce says WWE should let fans “run the ropes” at PLEs to feel the real pain/rope burn. He describes his Royal Rumble debut as a surreal dream, including 26 hours of travel and a call to Triple H for a hotel workout. He says the name “Royce Keys” is a new-beginning tribute to his son Royce and his mother. He claims Jacob Fatu “crossed the line” after putting a chair around his head, and says he’s always watching Solo Sokoa too (“head on the swivel 24-7”). He expects the three-man opposition to stop the Bloodline’s power shift after SummerSlam.

Notable examples

Royal Rumble “Battle Royal” training moment; Royce Keys Day in East Palo Alto (July 23); dream WrestleMania match list (Undertaker, Bobo Brazil, Dusty Rhodes, Triple H, Stone Cold, Eddie Guerrero); SummerSlam card highlights (Cody vs Punk, Liv vs EO, Usos/Jacob Fatu vs Royce/Solo/L.A. Knight, plus Hell in a Cell talk).

0:35welcome to another episode of the no contest wrestling podcast i am the heel that you love to hate o'shea jackson jr hey k-a petty guerrero hey yo it's me it's me it's the t-double-o the j-i-double-g to jiggy tj jefferson what's up brother hey we got a guest man yeah let's not waste time today yeah we got a guest in the house uh somebody who's been around the world with his his wrestling his his power, his willpower, if you know, you know. From the Blue Mohawk to running the Blue brand right now, let's give it up for Royce Keys. What's up with it? The Blue Mohawk. Hey! What's up, brother? I'm good.

1:17How y 'all doing? Happy to have you on. Had to let you know that we take our research serious. Hey, that popped me, man. I know that was still out there. Now everybody going to look it up. This ain't a game. We don't do this for fun. You know what I mean? We're on this. I'm with it. I appreciate y 'all. Okay, now take us through the beginning just so people can get to know Royce Keys. Talk to us about your early life and when you got bit by the wrestling bug. Man, shoot, I'm from a two-square-mile city in the Bay, you know, East Palo Alto. So I used to be the former murder capital of the United States.

2:03You know, it's very small out there in the Bay. Man, I tell everybody wrestling was on in my house before I was even thought of because my grandparents took a Greyhound with my daddy from Mississippi, and they moved right across the street from the Cow Palace. so they used to go to wrestling shows every other weekend and see Ray Stevens, Pat Patterson, Chief Peter Mabia, Kenji Shibuya, Pepper Gomez. So by the time I came along, wrestling was already on in the house. Okay. Man, that bug hit me probably from the time I came home, man. I'm just sitting on the couch with Big Mama and Papa, so. I love that.

2:42You know, my story here with this show is that was me and my grandfather, man. That was our thing was wrestling. and every Saturday at 6.05, whatever you was watching better be over at 6.04 because 6.05, we were turning on wrestling. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I remember that. Now, as you, you know, you chose this journey to go into the squared circle. Do you have a welcome to wrestling moment when the real kind of hit? It's one thing, you know, to fight with your family, you know, in the backyard getting in trouble. But, like, when you got in, you know, in between the ropes, Was there ever a welcome to wrestling moment that you can pinpoint?

3:20Probably I think my first real welcome to wrestling moment was when I was training. I ordered some generic boots that didn't fit. Had to stuff them a little bit, wear double socks. And I ordered some generic tights. And we had just learned how to get thrown over the top rope. And so the school I was training at that week, they were putting on a show and somebody didn't show up. So what they do, they threw me in the Battle Royal, man. That was that was my Royal Rumble, man. I'm in there with with some vets from the Indies, man. And let alone, man, as soon as I got in there, everybody got a hold of me, man.

4:01Chop, chop, punch, punch, nothing. Somebody grabbed me. It's time for you to go and right over. And that was it, man. So that was like I got a little taste of that, man. And I'm like, there ain't nothing topping this right here. But it was on after that. Now I stopped crying. Now, what's something that, you know, fans need to, like, perceive a little bit better when it comes to actually doing the things that you guys do? We've talked about it a few times on the show. If the WWE would just put a ring on the outside of these arenas for PLEs and just let fans run the ropes. Let them feel that rope burn on them.

4:45That cable. Try it out. You think this is a game. Try it out. My ass is black. You know what I'm saying? When I hit the ropes coming home, learn how to do that. I have marks across my back, man. I had to build up a callus. You know what I'm saying? That junk hurts. Like, man, you got to build up a callus. You got to build up of tolerance and i tell people man and especially y 'all know not everybody can do this like you you got to be you know mentally playing with a full deck and not be there and you know like it takes special people to to to be in this business and do this and you know i just man i it gets under my scan how people think that this is so bony.

5:34You know, it's like, this is real life things we do, like accidents happen, but you know, I'm all for, you know, WWE putting a ring outside of arena for these PLEs, get a little taste of it, you know. Just a little. Sign the waiver. Just a little. Step up your back, Calus. Sign the waiver, take a bump or two. What was it like when you first started taking bumps? hurt it hurt my whole body was sore man i kid you not and it's all my uh my instagram page my very first match i was about 145 150 pounds you know so like it it hurt like it's going through going to training three to four days a week man you know especially after work you know eight 12 hour shift and you know you gotta go go to the warehouse and train and do what you want to do and you know it's just you got to have a love for you got to be possessed with it you know now we know you know with stephanie mcmahon's podcast you know what's your story we've heard about the hardships that you've had to you know you just had to go through you know things that that people usually don't have to take on as they reach you know the mountain that you've reached today, losing the family members that you have and keeping your strength and keeping your focus.

7:03I want you to take time right now. Just who do you think on this road that we wouldn't have the Royce keys we have today without them? I got to say 100 % my grandparents, my big mama and my papa, like raise their kids and turned around and and raised my siblings and I raised their grandkids like they didn't have to do that you know that wasn't their job we weren't their responsibility you know you know they they did their part with their children so it was without a doubt it had to be my grandparents because man I just think about where I could be right now like my grandma and play like during the summertime if if the street lights was on during daylight savings and and those street lights were on and and if it was still sun out and she told you get your butt in the house like if you weren't in the house man she'd go out and make you go to the backyard we had this plum tree that had the branches on it has some horrible whip action you know what i'm saying i'm all just snap back on that and you know just just the you know the the structure they they provided for us and taught us.

8:21I would definitely either be in San Quentin or probably Alta Bates Cemetery if it wasn't for them. Look, if you've never had to go in the backyard and grab your own switch, good for you is all I'm going to say. Because if you've never had to go get your own instrument of destruction from a tree, and you know, Royce, you can't pick one that's too flimsy. No. Because then they're going to go out there and get the switch. my grandma was about 5 '5 and you know she there's been plenty of times I tried to grab a little flimsy one that was real low and you know probably about 5-10 minutes her trying to jump up and get one of these tree branches and we laughing at her and all that are you making her work you're doing yourself a disservice you gotta get one that's not too big but not too flimsy because if they gotta go get it like I said I do not miss the switch days y 'all just had flashbacks y 'all victims Yeah, I'm shaking.

9:22It didn't happen a lot because I was smart. Didn't take many times. I, you know, I just, I just sat in the corner and read books. So now everything that you have gone through, everything that you had to overcome, the people who helped push you along the way to you making your entrance at a Royal Rumble. Yeah. Talk to us about what that felt like. Number one, to know that you're in the Rumble. Yeah. Then when you step out of that curtain, and what's going through your mind? It was a lot, man. I was getting flashbacks because we used to have Royal Rumbles in my front yard. Like, as a kid. Like, all the neighbors were like...

10:05I was getting so much trouble. So, my grandpa, my papa was cool like that. You know, he always sat in the back of his trucks eating, you know, his peanuts or, you know, listen to the ball game on this radio and you know my friends would come over from the neighborhood and play and we have a royal rumble we get thrown over this little this little metal wire fence we had uh but i was getting flashbacks from that and just being on one of the core four wwe ple's royal rumble like it's a debut from there like the whole the whole transition was getting there was was wild. It took me 26 hours to get there.

10:47Ooh. 26 hours. Oh, man. And then, you know, when I was in my room, you know, I got left on a Wednesday, got there Friday, and I called Triple H. I was like, hey, do you know, do you think I'll be able to, you know, go down to this hotel gym and get a workout in? Because, you know, I got a workout. And it was silence on the phone. And I'm like, man, like, it's silence on the phone. I'm thinking back when I used to get in trouble. And silence me, no.

11:19Triple H is a gym dude, and he made it possible, man. I had the hotel bring some weight equipment to my room. Because you couldn't be out, right? Because I couldn't be out. I was surprised. Nobody knew I was there, except for certain people knew. But man, getting to the arena and a few people saw me, just the love I got. And then when people found out I was there and just the love from the locker rooms, it was crazy. Like people I never knew who knew who I was was, you know, dapping me up and welcoming me. And man, in Gorilla, when my music played, it was time to go. Like it was it was all man.

12:01Like everything felt slow like I was in a dream. So that was that that was real cool, man. And I just, man, just the energy from the crowd and just everything that I've been through in my life and previous with other wrestling organizations just to get to this point. It was amazing. So, Royce, back a few months ago, we were in San Francisco for the Super Bowl, and we had CM Punk on the podcast, and he had some words about you. So we want to just let you see this real quick and get your thoughts. NXT's stacked Royce Keys Yeah, shout out Royce Keys Let's talk about the name for a minute Because we're here, we're going to talk about it Wrestling fans Are so interesting Because they complain about everything Everything Like if They would Powerhouse Hobbs Cool name, pretty dope, right?

13:03This is a new start and I think Royce Keys is a pretty badass name. I dug it off the bat. Everyone's immediately going to poo-poo on it because they're used to Hobbs. This is the status quo. People will always not like new things, but then they'll demand new things. Oh, we need new talent. Okay, we give you new talent. Oh, but then they sour on it. So talk to us about two things, how you came up with the name, and then what it felt like, dog, for you to hear that crowd. You briefly touched on it prior to this, but once we saw your new name and the pop that you got.

14:21Well, the new name, man, it's just an old name popped up, new name arrived. It means it's a new beginning. it's a new chapter um we're not going you know dwell on the past we we're here for new beginnings as far as the name goes um my middle my middle son his name is royce okay i mean that's you know i love all my kids the same but that that's that's my twin man like yeah that's it's man so i was like, okay, Royce Keys is dedication to my mother. So, man, I can't fumble the ball, you know, with rocking two names of people that I care about, you know. So my mom's no longer here, you know, and so it's just I take pride in having both those names and represent them every time I go out to the ring or anytime I represent this company, anytime anybody sees me walking on the street and they say, hey, Royce, you know, or are you Royce Keys?

15:23Yeah, I got to represent them. So, you know, I can't mess up. Do you find that Punk was right, though? Were you getting some pushback online? Because we know... Oh, man, I'm getting pushback every day. You know, the thing about it, the only thing about it, it used to bother me, but, you know, it can't, you know, because everybody always got something to say. You know, if I don't do this a certain way, somebody's going to be mad. If I sneeze the wrong way, oh, he didn't sneeze right. Or, you know, people always have something to say. I tell my kids, not everybody's going to like you. Not everybody's meant to like you.

16:05So you take everything negative someone has to say, you know, that's their opinion. They're entitled to that, you know. But, you know, you do have some people that, you know, want to cross the line. And, you know, well, I can't be that person who I used to be. You know what I'm saying? Not this position. You know, because I got a lot. I got a lot to lose. I got a lot on the table. You know, I just had Royce Keys Day on July 23rd in East Palo Alto. So, you know, I got a whole city riding for me. I got a whole city back. you know it's just not it's just not about me it's about so many other people that i gotta that i feel i need to take care of that i want to take care of you know just me accepting that award and just seeing people i grew up with you know some people that you know that i used to hang out with that that were incarcerated that are out and how you know they how they told me they're proud of me you know just sitting there looking at their kids these little kids with these big eyes just looking at me like that's the motivation I need.

17:12You know, and that's something, you know, I won't let them down. I won't let my kids down. I won't let my family down. You know, so I'm running with the ball. Nice. July 23rd, the best day of the year because that's my birthday. Oh, okay. Happy birthday, happy birthday. My man, appreciate it. So now, you mentioned High Chief, P-M-I-V, and now SummerSlam, he's, I mean, you're intertwined with the bloodline, right? Kind of weird, right? Yeah. I mean, how'd you and Jacob, your friendship get started? Because you guys are going to be going at it. So how did that get you? Yeah, man, we go back about 14 years, man.

17:50Man. People, like, some people want to call a bluff on that. Nah, me and that dude go back. You talking about being caught up in snowstorms, blizzards, like, you know, leaving Reno, driving back to the bay, driving five miles an hour, you know, driving 10 hours from the Bay to Vegas to do a show and back home, you know, to make sure we get back to work and doing trainings and, you know, small indie bookings, like we go back. So, but it's just one of these things, man, where sometimes you got to fight your peoples, you know, getting your point across. Yeah, you know, it never really felt like you were cool with him following Roman the way that he has.

18:34and what goes through your mind when you see... That's not him. That's not him. He ain't never been to... Jacob goes to his own beat. You know what I'm saying? That's not him. You only can try to reason with somebody so many times. And he crossed the line when he put that chair around my head. So, you know, this point is on. Now, you guys are going at it. You're teaming up with the Usos' brother, you know, with Solo Sokoa. Is there anything in your mind as we look at the graphic of SummerSlam in Minnesota this weekend, is there anything going through your mind where you are watching your so-called teammate as well?

19:19Because the bloodline, you know, they ran things around here for quite a long time, and now they're showing their face again. Do you have to keep an eye on Solo at the same time as you watching the Usos from across the ring? Good question. I keep my head on the swivel 24-7. That's just how I was raised. My head is always on the swivel.

19:41It seems like I can trust him, but my head is always on the swivel. Man, it's a tough position to be in. It is definitely one of the matches that really determine where things are going to go as far as the outlook of the bloodline and the story that they've brought. When you have that type of responsibility, when the company trusts you on, you know, you're making your PLE, I mean, Royal Rumble, but as far as a match, you're going to SummerSlam. Like, you know, one of the big four. What does that mean to you personally? It means a lot. You know, I did, during Mania Week, I sat down with the Ringer podcast, and it was to my surprise that Triple H Paul had his eye on me.

20:36He knew who I was, and to especially be put in this position with these guys who have been established here for years, who are vets to the game, it means that I'm in the right place. it means that they trust me. So it's, you know, you just got to run with the ball, man. Like when you have an opportunity and you need to run a play, you got to run the play. Because who knows if this may come up again. So you got to run it, man. So this Saturday night, you, L.A. Night, yeah. Yeah. So Usoa taking on Jacob Artu and the Usoas in a huge six-man tag team match. Like you said, this is going to determine a lot of storylines going forward, right?

21:25There's maybe a balance of power, a power shift that could happen at the end of this. So what are you expecting, Royce? Let me ask you this. What should we expect on Monday after this match? Like, what's going to go down? Expect the three of us to come to the aisle, walk down the aisle to the ring and just say, hey, we put a stop to this. The bloodline ain't going to be running like I used to. you know, his history can't repeat itself. Yeah, because it seems like you were three guys who definitely are standing up against it. L.A. Knight has a long list of grievances, right? It's like a CVS receipt of things.

22:02And Solo, you know, he was in the family, and now he's pushing back a little bit. And you, this is like your chance to really break out, man. So I don't want to put any pressure on you. I want all the pressure. There you go. That's how I operate. I'm here for a reason, so. I mean, now that you're in WWE, you get to do a Royal Rumble obviously mania is mania is there any, like I guess this is a little bit like your dream match question, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah I'm gonna let you kick it Alright, well then let me ask you this We're family now you're in no contest for life and so what we like to do is tell people you know whenever you're in town, we'll let you know where the spare key is.

22:48You come on in and help yourself at home. But what we do is, you know, we got this DeLorean in the garage, bro, and we like to let our guests take it for a spin. The reason we let you take it for a spin. I want you to go back in time, right? And I want you to pick five wrestlers that you would have a main event at WrestleMania with. Who from the past or I guess even today. But if it's a time machine, you know, you can go a little deeper. You say time machine. I like to go back. Who are your dream WrestleMania matchups? I definitely want to go back and have a match with The Undertaker. Necessary.

23:30I'm talking about Attitude Era Undertaker. Maybe Ministry of Darkness Undertaker. That's what I want to go back and have a match. Another one I want to go have a match with would probably be Bobo Brazil. Taking it way back, right. I would love to work him. Another one I would do, I would love to work Dusty Rhodes. Okay, absolutely. This is a wrestling house for sure. Right? I would love to wrestle Triple H. I'm talking about you know, just right when he had that song, My Time, like that. My Time! I used to hate him growing up. Well, he did his job. That was the point. Yeah, he did. He did. I turned on a video game and I'm tearing his ass up.

24:38All right, so we got you with The Taker, the Ministry of Darkness Taker in particular. legendary Bobo Brazil, the legendary American Dream Dusty Rhodes, Triple H, and one more. This one, if I had to, it'd probably be, I got two I want to say, but I'd like to pick one. No, you can, hey, Royce Keys, I ain't going to tell you what you can't do. I'm going to do a triple threat. One's going to be Stone Cold Steve Austin. Absolutely. And another one probably have to be, Eddie Guerrero. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. All these paydays are going to be great. Yeah, right. Great payday. He's got different styles clashing, so, you know.

25:25I like that. You Stone Cold and Eddie in the Triple Threat? You got to watch Eddie in that one. Yeah, because he'll lie, cheat, and steal on you. Off top, off top. Now, before we even keep going, we mentioned just congratulations to you. You did win the Andre the Giant Battle of the Royal last year. That was a good way to introduce yourself to people, too, who weren't that familiar with. It's usually a good sign when you win that. Yeah. That was amazing. Now, our number one question, and I can't wait to ask you this one. You in a bar. I'm juiced. I'm juiced. I'm winning. You in a bar. It's 50 dudes in a bar, and they are not about Royce Keys being in that bar.

26:06All right? They're giving you the eye. They don't like the bears. Yeah, I need, oh, don't say that. You know you're going to get him going. I need you to pick a team of you and four other superstars to make sure Royce can get his keys to the car. And four superstars, again, of any era. I'm going to go with my wrestling dad. I'm going to go with Mark Henry. Okay. I say everybody, dad. I'm going to go with him. I'm going to go with Ming. okay well Haku that's everybody this is the Haku question he literally gets listening to everybody I'm definitely right with New Jack you're trying to catch a case I guess I gotta get away yeah just from the stories that that I've heard I'm gonna go with how tough she was I'm gonna go with Mae Young That's the second or third time someone mentioned Miss May That's the squad right there Royce, I heard May Young was the toughest man in any room she was in I heard she didn't give him no F's You know what I'm saying?

27:21I heard that So we got Royce Go ahead, Mark Henry, Ming New Jack, Miss May Young and you I said that, man, we rolling Bro, why are y 'all here at the same time? Oh, my God. We rolling. We rolling. Yeah. The worst is going to be when Mae Young's beating up a bunch of dudes and they can't explain or express. Yeah, you understand. How you going to explain that? Real, man. And shout out to, man, New Jack. Yeah. He wants to see some wild times. Yeah, somebody's getting real messed up on this one. Yeah. Now, Royce, the floor is yours. For people who don't know, let them know. So what can fans expect?

28:04Not only what you're going to do at SummerSlam, but the superstar of Royce Keys moving forward. What should we expect from you, man? Just expect me to bring that intensity. Me personally, everything that negative happened in my life, I bring it to the ring. Like, I'm here to hurt people, here to, you know, win championships, be one of the most feared in this business, man. So it's not just being your standard big man, man. I'm here to do it all. There's things that people don't know that Royce Keys can do. And it's going to be time I cut loose and let it out. So when you think of big man, you know that, you know, but when people think of that reincarnation, that Hall of Pain era, you know, it's probably coming back.

28:56That's what's up. And our first steps towards that happened this weekend as he travels to Minnesota for SummerSlam. Yep. And we can't wait to see you there, man. Stay healthy and stay Royce. Absolutely, man. Appreciate y 'all. Absolutely, man. My brother. Yes, sir. Royce Keys. Royce Keys. Yeah, man. Keys opened doors. He's in for it all right. Right? Because, man, that bloodline is – they play no games. Play no games and it's never ending, it seems like, right? No. I mean, for him to talk about growing up and his grandfather watching the High Chief, can you imagine what he's thinking right now watching his grandbaby go against the bloodline?

29:39Yeah, I can imagine. That's something, man. That's crazy, man. Life is, what a good story life is. And like he said in San Francisco back then, the wrestlers he mentioned, Ray Stevens, guys like that, those legendary battles at that Cow Palace. So, you know, that was really cool. And since he's got a match at SummerSlam, we might as well continue and take a look at the SummerSlam card. You feel me? Yeah, that I mean. Okay. So this is what we got here. It's Saturday, August the 1st. Straight out of Minnesota, we got Cody Rhodes against CM Punk for the undisputed WWE Championship. We've got for the Women's World – I'm sorry, this is the Women's World Championship, correct?

30:22We have Liv Morgan against EO Scott. EO! EO! And then, of course, we mentioned the six-man tag, The Usos and Jacob Fatu taking on Royce Keys, Solo Sokoa, and L.A. Night. Yeah. And then we got Hell in a Cell. Oh, baby. Bro, I'm telling you, you got to watch yourself because it's going to be one of them. I remember us watching Oba at Mania. like man please get this right please get this right and I'm kind of having that same feeling like don't throw me for a loop alright I know where it's supposed to be and you know they're talking about Brock's never lost Brock's never lost in hell in a cell beating the Undertaker too by the way like you know it's not like he went up against I'm not gonna diss nobody I was going to but I stopped myself I'm getting better with my toxicity but But, yeah, man, Oba Brock.

31:21And you know they're going to want to make a statement with that match. Absolutely. We're going to talk about Raw a little bit later. You and I were both there. But, you know. It was sick. There was a weigh-in on money that didn't go. I don't know what their thought was. What do you think was going to happen? If you put Oba Femi and Brock Lesnar together inside a cage before you're ready to have them in a cage, something bad was going to happen. But Brock turned the tables. I guess he locked himself out of the cage. He didn't want to get in there with Oba. And, you know, he cuts. Look, to be honest, they could have just raised the cage.

Read the full transcript

31:56Yeah. You know, I told that to my sister. I was like, hold on. I'm not really locked in here, bro. We all watched it lower down. That's the first thing that Bear Kutcher said to me. He goes, there's a cage up there. And I was like, oh, yeah, there is. So why didn't they just, okay, what the hell? That's just a little nitpicky type thing. but yeah you know we uh we didn't get any type of violence between the two of them we got oh hope he's got to watch him because eventually they're going to lock him up for beating up all these cops i mean he leaned out a little bit too a little bit a little bit but of course when he got listed at 302 pounds in my mind i'm like there was no way brock's coming in at under 305 and sure sure as anything he came in at 303 three but yeah you know there was a lot of people mad about that that it went down, but it is what it is.

32:44You don't really want them to get it on. What the hell? Did y 'all want a real weigh-in? This is wrestling. Right? We never do that. So I can't understand what the point was. But hey, whatever. We're here for it. Hell in a cell, that's all that matters. Can I make a prediction? Can I give you my kind of thoughts? Can I give you what I think is going to happen? Okay, here you go. Here you go with this nonsense. Why is it going to be nonsense? Because, man, I'm not going to forget that I was sitting right here and you told me, hey, man, I really think Seth going to team up with Paul Heyman. And I was like, don't say that.

33:18And what happened? My WrestleMania night one was ruined because of you. If you don't. It's my fault. So go ahead. What you going to put out in the universe now? Put this out in the universe. You know, this is my creative liberty for this. This will be the last time you see Brock Lesnar in a wrestling ring. Okay. Hell in a Cell, Obafemi gets the W. Okay. And I believe that's it for Brock Lesnar. I think the WrestleMania ruse was just that. But I think this time is going to be the last time. Just a thought. And for our conspiracy theory fans out there, I still think that they threw a pile of cash at Brock and took away our WrestleMania moment.

34:08It was right there. Everybody was shocked. Yeah, but maybe Brock really wasn't ready. He was caught up in the moment. Yeah, bro. That's what WrestleMania do. And then you give her something, and then you took it right from her. You took it back. From Mania. But that's fine. It's nothing sacred, Del Tufo. But this time is it. All right. In Minnesota, front of the home crowd, it makes the most sense. As long as Oval wins. But we all kind of feel that same way. and yeah, save your tickets. Save your tickets because it'll be the last. That's just my thought. Yeah, you know. Look, we're just fans. We're all just guessing.

34:46But if I had to put my name on it, if I had to put my stamp on it, if I had to put no contest wrestling behind it, the way we've done, you know, two years ago I said, Oba Femi should have been the man to retire John Cena. Yeah. Got a lot of flack. Right. Blackie. How's that feeling now? All you people that told me how crazy I was and was being real stupid. Who even knows who he is? He doesn't have face of the company potential now. Don't you feel stupid? So, yeah. With your dumb ass. We're going to put our name on it. That's just how I feel. But getting back to this SummerSlam card. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

35:20Two more matches we didn't announce from that SummerSlam card. If we can see it again. Just my creative liberty on it. You're good at that, bro. You're good at that. And then we have... Against Nick Aldis. And like we told people last week, if you're not familiar with, if you only know Nick Aldis as the SmackDown GM, do yourself a favor, go to YouTube, look up some Nick Aldis matches, look up some Magnus from TNA matches. Nick Aldis is a big boy. And I think when people see him out of that suit that aren't familiar with him, they're going to be a little surprised of the size of the guy. And I'm not expecting Nick Aldis to win because that would kind of ruin everything that, all the goodwill.

36:03I don't think it's Goodwill, but everything you built Gunther up to be the career killer, beating Goldberg, beating Cena, beating AJ Styles, and something that we don't talk about for whatever reason, beating Seth Rollins at WrestleMania. So the man was on the roll. So because of that, I just don't see any way that Nick Aldis would go over. But I have a feeling that he's going to handle himself. He will be showcased. Have a good showing, for sure. So that's just my thought. Yeah. I mean, yeah, for Gunther to lose this one, it would be like, having the Death Star have some small hole that just blows up the whole thing.

36:37That would be terrible. That would be ridiculous to even build something like that if you make the Death Star. We can't put a wall up right here? Not a small gate. Gunther's the Death Star? He's the Death Star blowing up planets. But for Nick Aldis to just randomly beat him, it would be like there's a ventilation that if you shoot perfectly, doesn't blow up a section, the whole thing. If I'm not mistaken, too, Aldis is younger than all four of those guys, by the way. Because people want to bring up, like, well, I mean, this should be quick. He beat Cena. He beat Goldberg. Cena is 49. Goldberg, 59.

37:18Like, Aldis is 39 years old. He just carries himself. He carries himself. But he hasn't been in the ring for three years. Right, right, right, right. But that also means his body is free of bumps and damage in those three years, too. Yeah, the same for everybody watching on YouTube. That mosquito did try to kill me right now. All right. Damn it. Anyway. So, yeah, we got Gunther against Nick Aldis. And then the last match on the first day, which is Saturday, if we could pop that back up, is what we have. We have fatal influence against the Bellas and Paige. Hello. Yes. Yeah. Hello. Oh, let's say fatal influence.

38:00You know, what the hell is that? Fatal influence. They're the Hill team. I'm just going to be honest, not going for them because at one point in time, Paige was my favorite wrestler, female wrestler. The Bella twins. I go back with them like a car seat. You know what I mean? So, yeah, I'm going for the Bellas and Paige. But I got a weird feeling, man, again, that things don't go right for them that, you know, these two are twins. Right. And you're not. Mm-hmm. So even though they should be happy that Paige stepped in for Nikki when she got hurt. Yeah. Carried the tag team titles. Yeah. But, you know, Nikki, you know, she can get a little nasty if she wants to.

38:44Yeah, man. This is Mary-Kate and Ashley. Not Mary-Kate and Ashley and they friend Sarah. Right. All right. So, like, you know. She got to get a power here. It's not Kimmy. You know, it's Steph and DJ and, you know, not Kimmy. Yeah, not Kimmy. That's you. Is there a chance that the Bellas, if they lose this match, turn on Paige? Probably. Bro, I originally thought, like, Nikki was going to get healthy and be like, okay, Paige, you give me the title now. And I'm like, whoa, hold on. No, because you said that, but I feel like Nikki at that point would have just put her eyes on the singles championship because, remember, she went after Stephanie Bacare.

39:20By the way, what up, Stephanie? We miss you. can't wait for you to come back but yeah it's going to be interesting to see what happens but you know fatal influence new tag team champions uh and we'll see how that goes but that's night one i mean i i just got them you know them brand spanking new titles i do not see them doesn't look good on the resume to take an l right here doesn't and it also gives you an opportunity you're not saying this is going to happen but it gives you an opportunity to have a little tiff between the OGs, you know? Nikki like, you know, Paige, like, you're the one that got pinned.

39:58You kind of lost the tag titles for my sister. Like, that's kind of your fault. And then, you know, Paige is like, hold on, dawg, did you not watch the match? They cheated. Cricket cart. And Bree is in the middle, like the cheese that she is. Shout out to Bree Cheese. And, yeah, it could be something juicy there, fun for the OGs to be on camera. I think it makes the most sense for them to take the L. But even though I hate to see them lose. Yeah, right. So, you know, Nikki, I just want you to know from the bottom, can I get this camera? Nikki, I don't want you to lose. But the Eagles suck. They do.

40:36Well, they both like the Eagles. Yeah, I know, but I don't want to be mean to Bree. I can't be mad. Nikki, she was mean to you because she was your GM. She's my GM. Nikki and Bree were my fantasy football GMs one year, and I was awful that year. I'm just going to point that out. Damn. I was terrible. Direct influence. I'm just saying. Not a fatal influence. I was going to say almost a fatal influence. It was fatal. I may have finished second to last place that year. But now I got mad love for the Bella Twins. And by the way, you know, there's always, the IWC always has this, what did the Bella Twins do, blah, blah, blah.

41:11Stop it. Yeah. Because without them, without Total Divas, there's a whole genre of I think women wrestlers who might not even be in the game. A generation of fans. It's wild when people try to one of our side conversations. It's wild to me that we've reached that point in life where people that we know were legitimate stars or had their stardom being questioned. I've now been old enough to see that people try to say that Michael Jordan wasn't the greatest, right? Or people try to say that Jay-Z and Eminem weren't at the top of the list when it comes to the rappers, with all due respect to everybody else.

41:53You know, you got, now we're in a time where people are like, oh, the Bella Twins, they weren't this or that. Like, you know, we've just reached this point in time where like people we know got busy are now having their resumes questioned, and look, if I gotta stand here and pound the table for all these people, then I'm just gonna do it, because I can't. let this slide. Don't ever in your life think that Jay-Z wasn't the man. I've been seeing a lot, especially after what happened at Yankee Stadium and there was all this pushback like, well, when was Jay-Z ever the top rapper? Like, no, stop it.

42:25Jay-Z was him. Eminem was him. Michael Jordan was him. We're not rewriting history with these false narratives. It is the power of the propaganda machine. You put enough clips online with enough retweets and you can get the waves moving in any direction you want, but it's ridiculous. As a fan of the most hated NBA Hall of Famer of all time, Kobe Bryant, I am constantly correcting you. That is not even close. LeBron James has more hate on him for whatever weird reason. I don't know, dog. I don't know. Trust me. Okay. I do. Kobe did get a little bit because, you know, he was a little bit, but what the way people try to downplay LeBron James is insane to me.

43:13And you always have the LeBron haters, right, who talk about the LeBron writers, but it goes both ways. Like, your hatred for him is really weird, man. Like, not you, you know what I'm saying? Yeah, no, no, no. I used to be a Kobe-level LeBron hater, but then I was like, I'm being a hater. It's not me. What's the point? LeBron ain't dealing with... I remember them trying to tell me that Kawhi had surpassed Kobe after that Toronto championship, championship, Max Kellerman and all the nonsense about that. He's constantly compared to Tim Duncan. Respect to Tim Duncan. It's a big in guard. They play two different worlds.

43:52Don't make me... You will not disrespect Tim Duncan. I just said all respect to Tim Duncan. But then you said something that seemed a little disrespectful. He was... Every year, he gets lower and lower on people's top ten lists. He just like, they want to make it like he's just some ball hog and shot chucker. And like, dog, you better respect it. They want to talk about, oh, he didn't really have any leadership qualities. Did you not watch the Redeem team on Netflix? Bro, they called him in to lead all the people you tell me are leaders. So like, don't get me started on my Kobe band. Rest in peace.

44:35I would just say this about Kobe. Kobe, even when he was playing, he didn't have that reputation for being Mr. Mr. Rah-Rah. Yeah, so that wasn't him. So that's why I think some people will have things to say because that just wasn't his personality. Now, I feel like once he retired and we really got to see Kobe as a human being, I feel like that added to the legend and legacy because while he was playing, Kobe wasn't trying to be nobody's buddy. He wasn't trying to be nobody's friend. so at that point yeah I could understand there was some pushback but you know I mean I don't have Kobe in my top 10 I'm gonna say that I mean you're a Clipper fan I wouldn't like that is nothing I'm a Sixer fan before anything and I know Dr.

45:17J so and I got LeBron James but I will say timing of that he's top the timing goes back to 1980s dog but yeah is he top 15 on my list absolutely I don't think I have him in top 10 but here's the deal me and Mike Del Tufo was talking about something today and Del Tufo goes well they're on my bottom five and I'm like well Mike Like, that's still a great list, right, of everybody doing something. If you're in the bottom of the top five, there ain't nothing wrong with that. I just think it is insanity that the shooting guard with the most points at the position and the third most assists at the position ain't in people's top five.

45:58Because the greatest player of all time was a two guard, and so that had something to do with it. I mean, Kobe Bryant was a two-guy. Listen, bro. You see this, Jordan? Don't make me be like. I'd rather take the guy who ended with more points and more assists. I'd rather take the guy with more rings. More all-time defense. I'd rather take the guy with more rings and more acts. A ring is a team game. I'm talking about individual? But when you won MVP every time you won a championship, come on. The propaganda machine. Don't start that. You had the audacity to go on the big three and say something about Michael Jordan propaganda.

46:31It's propaganda. There is. Michael Jordan. It's propaganda. He don't need propaganda. Bro. Michael Jordan. We're getting off. We're getting off. Yeah, bro. But I'm just going to say. There is no. By the way, you're going to turn me into Brie Bella. Why did I lose my shoe? You see this, Jordan? That's what it's all about. Michael Jordan. Why did I lose my shoe? He going to sell you that same shoe, same color next year. And I'm going to buy two of them. Because you're a slave to the propaganda. Man. Back to wrestling. Yeah. Say all that to say. Night two. Night two.

47:05night two with SummerSlam what we got here we got for the world's heavyweight championship a man who once told us when they want to make that belt what did he say when they want to make that belt mean something when they want to make it relevant they're putting it on me and that's what they're doing that's what they did hey they made that for me wow see that was unnecessary they made that belt for me so we got Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins going at it for the men's world heavyweight championship we've got Finn Balor and Sami Zayn, who's got, you know, a beef right now, and it's understandable.

47:35I get it, Sami, but you guys are going to go, and the winner of this match is going to become the number one contender for the undisputed WWE championship. Finn Balor. Finn Balor. And then we got, whoop that trick, get him. Whoop that trick, get him. Our boy, Trick Willie. Trick Williams is going to defend the custom United States Heavyweight Championship against the returning Baron Corbin. the lone wolf has returned and then we've got what do we got we got penta going again and look low-key i think people are sleeping on this match for some reason we got penta defending the intercontinental championship against chad gable in his home state i kind of feel like gable i know we're not doing uh prediction right now this might be chad gabe if not now penta by the way for everyone always complaining about people not defending the championships yeah if you no one never gives props to the people who are defending.

48:29Like, Penta's been on a nice run defending this Intercontinental Championship today. He's put up some good matches. I think his title reign has been awesome. But I feel it might come to an end against Gable, because if you don't pull the trigger on Chad Gable now, then when are you ever going to do it? Right. It's just like how I felt about Sami in Saudi. Right? If not now, then win. Then win. And then we've also got Dan Housen against our boy Dirty Don Mysterio and the human monies on a pole match? Is that what we're doing here? We're going to put the money up on a pole? Hang it up? It's moments like this when somebody who make fun of you for watching wrestling walks in the room.

49:12Yeah, right. Like, you don't get it. You don't understand. Just let me have my thing. Because what the hell are we talking about? What the hell are we talking about? Well, Dan Housen stole money from Dom. Yeah. Dom wants his money back. So you ain't used this money at all? All$100 ,000 is in there? Probably not. So what the fuck? So now to get it back, Dan Housen is like, we're going to put this human monies on. We're going to hang this human monies. And now you've got to get it. So this is another ladder match? Or what? Are we just climbing a pole? Like, we put Judy Badwell on the pole back in the day?

49:46You're about to hit Dom with the most wily coyote, super genius, ass match in the world. six minutes acme everywhere stuff not working and it works out like all of that so yeah dom dom and dan housing are going at it and then we also have a title match for the women's wwe women's championship yeah yeah we got looks like charlotte flair's there we know tiffany stratton who's on the rich eyes and show she's there jada cargill and then chelsea chelsea green and WWE vacant. We've got one more spot. I think that'll probably get filled on Friday. They got to. And I'll predict that we're going to see.

50:31I mean, it could be Stephanie, but Stephanie's on Raw, so that wouldn't be her title. Is it Julia? I think maybe Julia is probably what we're going to look at. Julia would be nice. I would love to see her in a match like that where she can make it pop a little bit. Or, or, secretary. Yeah, Keanu. Keanu James. I would love to see Keanu James and Jade have a face-to-face. That would be a sick-ass moment. Yeah, so we'll see who gets that last spot. We're probably, I guess, leaning towards Julie or Keanu. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's the only thing. Or what the hell are you doing with Jordan Grace? We could have a surprise.

51:07But I feel like the match is going to happen Friday, so I don't think Jordan's going to get in there for some reason. Oh, man. It doesn't make sense. Hey, justice. Justice for Jordan. And also, you know, God, we couldn't get the picture. I should have just took a picture in it. But I made a shirt for Raw. It was on somebody posted on Twitter. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But, you know, it's a WWE photo. I don't know if anyone, you know, I don't know if, like, they would, like, flag it without us talking first. But we're going to put that picture up. You heard TJ. Well, yeah. I'll take a picture when I go.

51:48We love Bailey I want y 'all to know I was going to put I love Bailey But I'm not selfish like that You know Because I know we all love Bailey I bought an Oatestone t-shirt Yeah you know We love Bailey No doubt There is obviously You know people who Are in the know Know that there's Whispers and talks I just wanted to Make sure I knew I was getting on camera I'm in LA They're going to do the thing But just a message To Bailey Because every time She's coming here we've been really cool to her you know and and pumped her up and it shouldn't be a surprise you know it is like if you've ever watched you are bailey if you've ever watched three episodes of or listened to three episodes of this pod you know that when don't we talk about bailey love bailey that's just yeah man man so my moon and my stars hey now hey man yeah that's it summer slam we're uh you and i we we're debate we're trying to go get there we there but we gotta to like, today's Wednesday.

52:48Yeah, bro, listen. I got to leave Friday right now. Manifest, bro. We got to. We are there. We are in our separate hotel rooms. And we're waiting for SummerSlam. We're there already, man. All right, well. I'm a variant. Well, we don't got plane tickets yet, is what I'm saying. These are modern man problems. These are modern man. You know, price goes up every day you wait, is all I'm saying. Oh, yeah, human monies. Human monies. And I ain't got that much of it, so. I feel that. I'm going to tuck my necklace for the rest of the show. Yeah, man. All right, yeah, we were looking forward to it. I think NCW will be in the building for SummerSlam.

53:24Yeah. And speaking of being in the building, about what time is it? About a 14-and-a-half-minute drive that way is the Intuit Dome in Englewood. Englewood always up to no good, and that's where we found ourselves this past Monday night as we went, and we took in Monday Night Raw at the Intuit Dome. Yeah, that was the most people that's been into it since it opened. You shut your mouth first. But, yeah, it was a great time. You got there a little bit before me. How long were you there before I showed up? So I'm fully expecting, like, okay, we're going, you know, the VIP entrance, you got to get a guy.

54:03I'm expecting a wristband. Wristband action is what you really want, folks. That's when you know you're doing it. And so I was like, you know, let me make sure I'm there early. you know just in case I don't rub some elbows with some people I want to rub some elbows with some people probably get some gas like you know trying to do my networking thing and boy when they didn't put a wristband on me I said Shea we're in trouble I was in there at 3 o 'clock 3 o 'clock show don't come on till 5 so I am in my seat by myself alright I don't got TJ I don't got security it's just me and like watching them pile in the crowd into Intuit Dome.

54:47I'm looking at the main event ring. Like, it's all type of stuff. I know I'm not supposed to be here right now. And, you know, it's fine. I had some fun on Instagram Live, for those who saw. I kept asking security, and maybe you'll be able to tell me, where did I keep the banners in there? Anyway, what else should I say? Or at least the retired jerseys. Because I couldn't find... The Intuit, you know, it's brand new, billion dollar and all that. Where do they keep the banners in that place? At least a retired jersey. Maybe it's in the back. With all the high school jerseys they put in there. I'm going to make sure you're banned from the Intuit though.

55:31Anyway. You don't deserve it. That is just... Yeah, man. You are so ignorant. I just... You know, maybe we'll find them one day. But anyway, so I'm in there. People are coming in, taking pictures of people. It's fine. They love you on wrestling shows. A little conversation. Yeah, bro. They really do. They dig your boy. I appreciate him. So I always give people conversations and talk to them. Yeah. And then, like, sit down and then, oh, it's about 15 more. All right, cool. Whatever. I'm just standing here. I saw up the steps. It started to, like, form. And I was like, oh, bro, I'm in trouble. Because I can't say no.

56:07I can't say no. But how'd they get to you, though? Bro, when people see, who are they taking pictures with down there? Because it's early. Yeah, because I saw one of our viewers sent a picture. He was there early from up top. And I saw there was one person sitting in your seat. I was like, is that you? Because someone was literally sitting in your seat. Yeah. And the arena was maybe one tent. It's still dark in there. Like, you know, there's one security dude. And he was like, listen, man, a line is forming. I can't have them right here. and I was like well figure it out bro give me a wristband give me something so you know I hit my friends over at WWE they sent our man our boy Chuck took care of us other than that it was great to be there that early because I guess I got to see him set up the ring it was wild shout out to all the people I saw there going on moving forward got my people in shout out to Roman and Marlon spot all stars and when I saw you coming down the aisle I stood up and I'm locked in I'm like when is he going to look up when is he going to look up contact happened and of all the people I've ever met at a wrestling event I was so excited to meet Bear Kutcher I was like are you Bear And they were like, yeah!

57:37This is sick! So shout out to my man Bear Kutcher. Yeah, like Ashton and Bear were ahead of me, I think. Yeah, bro. Bear! So you guys dapping it up. And then, you know, I wanted to make sure that NCW stood out. So I went and got us. I didn't get yours in time beforehand, but so I had Ashton Kutcher and his son Bear and myself. We all wore matching NCW t-shirts. Which I had for Shay, but I didn't see him before the show. so he had his We Love Bailey shirt. But, yeah, so I had people texting me, tweeting me, like, I'm seeing Ashton Kutcher wear your shirt around. Yeah, that's the point. If you guys want that, hood us up.

58:14You know, we'll figure something out. Yeah, you know, we go. Why'd you smell it? What'd you think it was? I had it on my face. Oh, okay. I was trying to put my face through my face. Sorry. But anyway. But, yeah, so we got in, and that's one of the first things I saw because I was talking to our boy Chris Brockman. He was on the other side of You Were Here. He was on the other side, so I was chopping up. I like to keep Chris as far as I know. And that's understandable. But I had to say it went up to my man Cage Brockman, because that's my guy. Rams fan, by the way. I mean, Cage is the man. So, you know.

58:45So, yeah, by the time I was making my way over, you and Bear were, like, shaking hands. And I knew he knew you, so he was excited. But before we got to you, we were coming in through the back. Yeah. And, you know, we saw Braun Breaker doing his warm-up since we've seen him before. He twitches in a mirror. With the band, and then he just runs sprints in the back. I didn't really have a chance to talk to him, even though he ran right by us. So we're making our way to the seat. And then I look up, and right outside the gorilla, there's Robert Rude. Glorious. And he is talking to Oba Femi. So, you know, Oba four times, I had to go over.

59:17I didn't want to interrupt him because it was about 15 minutes before show time. He was starting the show. Locked in. So I go over. I tap him on the arm, and he kind of turns around. He looks at me. He's like, yo, what's up, man? So dap him up. Say what's up, Oba. But then Bear's standing right there, right? Now, Bear Kutcher loves him some Oba Femi. Oh, my God. Okay. Here's people who Bear loves. He loves Naomi. Smart. That's his number one. He asked me, is she coming back soon? I said, you got to talk to Big Jim about that. Where my chocolate drop at? He loves, now he loves Maxine. Come on. He loves Liv, and he loves him some Oba.

59:51So after me and Oba said hi, I turned, and Bear was there. I was like, I can't not introduce my godson. So I tapped him again. I was like, I got to introduce you to Bear. and Bear was like, hi. He's like, how you doing, Bear? And so, and then dapped him up real quick because I knew he was about to go on. We turned, there's Dan Housen and Joe Hendry and he loves those two. Oh my God. He sang the Can We Fired Logan Paul song about 12 times during the show, right? But he loves Dan Housen. So thankfully they were standing right there and he got to get a picture with them. So for me, you know, I don't have kids, you know, but that's my godson and I got him into wrestling and now he's telling his dad about storylines that I didn't even tell him about.

1:00:31We were in the car and he was saying something. I was like, I never told him about it. Right. So I was... Some eye pads. To be able to watch wrestling through the eyes of a kid like that is just... It was really one of the best days I had, knowing that I had a lot to do with him getting into wrestling and the fact that he got to see... For me, that would have been me getting to see Andre the Giant, you know what I mean, when I was that age. So the fact that he got to see these people and shake their hands, and that was just dope. And then he got to meet you because he talks about you a lot in a pod.

1:01:03But it was awesome. It was awesome to be there. And then right off the bat, we get the weigh-in. Yeah. And Bear was the first one to say to me, I said earlier, he looks up, he goes, there's a cage up there. Yeah. And I was like, oh, yeah, that's a Hell in a Cell cage. As the dude who was there at three, I damn near saw them screwed up together. Oh, really? Yeah, bro. I'm like, what the hell are you doing here? And then he says to me, bro, he sits there, he goes, look, you see there's holes in that cage, right? And I'm like, yeah, I see that. He goes, you know what that's for? That's so people can climb up the cage.

1:01:33That means someone's probably going to climb the cage. I was like, oh, that's okay, bro. I see, boy. Yeah, so Oba comes out, you know, in the entire arena. Dun, dun, dun, dun, dun. And so we're all doing the Oba strut. Gets into the cage with Triple H, Adam Pearce, some security guards in the scale. He weighs in at 302 pounds. Brock comes down. Brock doesn't get in the cage. He locks Oba inside and Brock's out. Heyman's just cutting a promo. He doesn't want Brock and Oba, I guess, to touch each other until the match again. But Brock weighed in at 303 pounds. Of course. More than Oba, as we all can see.

1:02:11That's a great shot there of Paul and Oba. Another one of Paul. You see the pinstripes on that, boy. Let's go. By the way, all shot on the iPhone. I do not have a regular camera. Yeah. So do not steal my... Bleep this deal. Don't steal my photos. Once they go on YouTube, you can't do nothing. But right here is my stamp, my timestamp. We'll get them here first, but then there's nothing we can do about it. Oh, oh, oh, oh. And then what else happened after that? So then I think, well, I know, PictureRise, we got the Vision. They came out. I don't know if this is in match order. Let me just say this about the Vision.

1:02:50Because, you know, I have never liked the movie. You haven't. Never. And I had high hopes when they added Logan. Because I was like, hold on. It kind of makes sense. They're kind of working right here. Because low key, you're a Logan Paul fan. Yeah, bro. Because, okay. As far as wrestling goes, the man is good. The man is good. Right. Right. And when I met him at Fanatics Fest, our first time. Our only time. We went twice, didn't we? No. Damn. We some hoes. Anyway, the first time and only time, I met Logan Paul. I said, they will never tell you how good you really are, man. He was like, thank you.

1:03:42I take it serious. I really want to be good. I said, you are so easy to hate. And it's like, that's a compliment in wrestling. And, yeah, I'm a fan. I'm a fan of Logan Paul, man. That's my guy. I will not boo him until he says something disrespectful about the Lakers. Then I got to give it to him. I think this is my shot. Yeah, let's go. Regardless. We had a good shot of, we got Braun Breaker. We got Austin Theory. We got Maxine. And I got to be honest, them against Otis in the back. And Tozawa, that was a good match. Yeah. They were what it was supposed to do. And I say this because, right, man, by the time I got home, by the time I was on social media, there were so many people claiming that this was the worst Raw ever.

1:04:32It's just like, my goodness, folks, from being in there, it was fun. We had a great time. It was fun. You know what I'm saying? And then the thing people most had a problem with was the Dan Housen-Joe Hendry concert. But here's the thing. You guys have been hyping up Joe Hendry. He sings. You've been hyping up Dan Housen. You know you're always going to get some comedic element. So they put them all together for a little sing song, you know. And the Mini Housens came out. Yeah. And people online, a lot of them felt strongly in the negative sense about it. But I just know this. Mario Lopez was sitting to my left.

1:05:10His son, by the way, who looks just like, if you just take Mario Lopez and shrink him down, looks just like his pop. A little Funko Pop. My man was so hyped that whole show. Bear was so hyped. And it's like the kids are loving this. So as adults, you might be like, but the way people were acting like this was the worst thing ever. When we've seen an 80-year-old woman give birth to a hand, when we've seen the gobbledygooker, when we've seen, you know, a guy who's in charge maybe climbing into a casket to fornicate with a dead body. I mean, like, look, there's been a lot of questionable things that we've seen in wrestling in the raw.

1:05:46So to say that this was the worst thing you've ever seen, stop lying to yourself, yo. Yeah, bro, it's okay. Like, it cannot. First of all, it's the go-home show. What you want, some five-star classics where people are going to get hurt and can't perform at SummerSlam? World Wrestling Entertainment. Relax. It's all right. You know better as a fan. Did I think it was the greatest segment ever? Hell no. But did you see all the kids in there loving it? Yeah. It's not for me. Right? You know, it's not for me. I can take six minutes out of my wrestling program and let people have fun. Let me get a shot of Dan Howes.

1:06:28Sell that merch, baby. You know, and then I think people have a problem. I guess some people have a problem. Ryan Garcia. He came out. He jumped in the conga line with the Clipper dancers. Hello, Clipper dancers. I kind of laughed at it. I was like, okay, because I knew right. As soon as he hopped the barricade and started conga dancing, you've seen three wrestling matches. There's nobody congas anymore. Well, if you've seen three wrestling matches, you kind of knew where this was going, right? He gets in the ring. He grabs a guitar. Joe Henry's thinking he's there as a friend. No, he's there as foe.

1:06:56Jeff Jarrett's him with the guitar. And then out comes Dom and JD and they lay the beat down on Dan Housen and Hendry and yeah, kind of could expect that that was good. Standing tall before the PLE. There it is, man. It's a recipe, right? We've seen forever. And y 'all want to just like overreact. I'm not telling you you have to like it. I'm not telling you like, oh, you don't know wrestling. I'm just telling you, relax. It's not the end of the world. It wasn't the end of the show. You don't care today. But like I said, it was for the kids. Yes, exactly. So then what else did we have? Oh, we had, and let's say it was the worst when the tag team match was good.

1:07:43And then I thought we had a great match between our boy, all Ethan Ego Page. Yeah. And the great Rey Mysterio. There he is, all Ego. I thought this was an awesome match. Yeah. And Ethan Page wins the match because he countered the 619 in a way that you don't typically see. As Rey went to do it, He pulls the apron up and blocks him, and he's able to use that momentum to get the pin. I remember Ashton turned to me and was like, I've never seen anybody do that before. And I was like, I don't think so. Big brain on the Ethan page, and he got the dub. I thought that was a fun match. And, you know, we don't know how many more times you're going to see Rey Mysterio.

1:08:21There's less time. We have less time with him than we had previously. So we know each time could be the last. But it was great just to see the legend, Rey Mysterio, up there. And, you know, he came over, said hi to the kids, got to say it, because he and Barrett met at that flag football game that happened a few months ago in town. Oh, sick. He met Mario Lopez. Because, like I said, the kids just all came over and just. Yes, it was about to cheer. About to cheer. So, yeah, it was good to see Ray. Like I said, we don't know how many more times we're going to see the great Ray Mysterio. So that was awesome, and he put on a great match.

1:08:51And also, real quick to my buddy, Ethan Page. You know, I'm a big-time supporter. but I saw it happen with somebody else earlier in the event too. When they not from LA they just don't get that hometown cheer. He from San Diego. That's like two hours away. I don't know them people. I know one San Diego that yeah I trust him with the keys to my car. It's my best friend Nate. 619 baby. What up Nate? Yeah, he's not going to get that. You're not going to get the, oh, you dissed somebody from LA. You're saying Ray's not getting the pop? No, I'm saying, like, Ethan Page came out and tried to, like, get the LA crowd to, like.

1:09:36He's a heel. That's not going to happen. I know, but then he said, you know, that was me going at your hometown hero, you idiots. And then, like, they didn't react. I'm from San Diego. Not to say, not to say. California politics. Another, we don't have, I don't think we have a picture of this, But then we had Javon Evans against Rusev. I thought that was a great match in the sense that, you know, Rusev got very physical with Javon. There was a few times where some of these shots accidentally connected. You could hear them and you saw them. So it was a big win for Javon to get it because Rusev is a monster.

1:10:12You know, no matter how he's being booked, that's also – it's always Rusev. That's also always Rusev Day. And, you know, he's a Clipper fan, so he was at home. Which is why he got the loss.

1:10:24You trying to sneak that in there? Boy, get that shit out of here. You get on my nerves sometimes. Sorry, I lost myself. So shout out to the young OG, Javon Evans. He's for the kids. I was getting a drink. Apparently he came over and Bear said, I got the high five, Javon. I'm like, all this stuff's going on when I'm gone. Nobody had a better time than Bear. No one in that building had a better time than Bear. Man, it was awesome. Big dog. And then we also had, what else are we going here? Oh, yeah. Women's Intercontinental Championship Now see this is Where things get dicey Between the champion Universal Ruka against Big Mommy Cool One half of the hard R's The cap And like Both friends of the show But she knows about us She hugged us we took a picture Can you tell them We took a picture.

1:11:20What Raquel did before the match started? Ooh, hold on. There was someone in the crowd that, well, look, I love Sol Ruka, but sometimes I do this. If everyone around me is going for one, I got to uplift the other. So in the front, I was sitting there. That's a very clipper of you. I was going nuts for Raquel. What did Raquel do to your boy? No. What did she point out and was talking to you? Let them know. Bro, I don't know the details like you know. but you turned and said I was like she's talking to me and you were like yeah I don't really know what she said but she got me so much I don't know what she was saying but it was positive because she was smiling and I was the only one standing there cheering for her so she looked at me pointed so she looked me right in the eye and I was like I can't wait to talk about your other interaction later you got another interaction by somebody yeah we'll get to that later either way I was hurt why?

1:12:17because she didn't I mean look But if she pointed to me, then, you know. No, no, no, no, no. You deserve the point. I'm saying, like, I didn't know how to feel during this match. Yeah, I was very conflicted. Yeah, man. Because we love Soul. Love me some Soul. And then at one point, and I'm going to keep bringing him up because that's my man. At one point, Raquel got knocked out of the ring, and Soul was walking towards the turnbuckle, and Bear just goes, Soul's going to dive out the ring. And sure enough, she dove out the ring, and the next thing you know, Raquel comes up, and she's busted open.

1:12:48blood everywhere we couldn't see what happened still was looking pretty bloody nose, face, just crimson mask you know at one point Jessica Carr went in to wipe off the blood and we were like no! Leave the blood you gotta leave the blood and they had a great match man they were going at it back and forth Saul was using her athleticism of course Raquel using her size and her power and at one point I was like man where is Roxanne and then I'm telling you like 10 seconds later. Not even 10, bro. Roxanne pops up out of nowhere. And then as I turned to you, I was like, there's Roxanne. I see this little blonde hair just run by me out of the corner of my eye.

1:13:28And here comes Liv. And she jumped in to kind of help Raquel get a little bit of vengeance. And to even things up.

1:13:42I know y 'all probably thought she was coming out right now. sounded just like the record. Here comes EO. And you and I both screamed out. Yeah, man. And at one point, EO gets in the mix. She's fighting Liv. And at one point, I was like, don't hurt EO. Yeah, bro. Don't you do it. So, you know, you've got Liv, Roxanne, helping Raquel, EO trying to balance out the sides. But there's a number to this event. It's three on two. You need one more. We don't believe you. You need more people. So at some point, Jessica Carr gets distracted. Yep. looked like so was about to go for the soul snatcher. There she is.

1:14:20There's Roxanne. Grabbed her at the right moment. Pulled her face down on the ring post. That led to Raquel cinching up the Tahana bomb. And at that point, I think everybody knew, like, oh, this is going to happen. Yeah. Amazing Tahana bomb. One, two, three, and new. Set off the fireworks. And new Women's Intercontinental Champion Raquel. And I'll just say this. I want to make sure that I have my words completely right before I say them.

1:14:53But shenanigans, shenanigans, another Jessica Carr shenanigans moment. All right. Because Raquel was having trouble, having issues with the blood on her face. You get up and you wipe her face. that is giving the advantage back and I am Becky, you are on to something. Favoritism will show during that match and then later on Twitter, I'm going to make sure I get a screenshot and send it to you D-Lo so you can put it in here. Jessica Carr want to post a picture of her and Raquel from NXT from back in the day to tonight. Interesting. Started here. Look where you got us. Oh, that's It's not weird. Oh, I say.

1:15:42But, you know, Raquel won, so I was okay with it. I mean, either way, you know, we like them both. And I don't want to even think I don't like Soul. I love Soul. I can't help but like me some Soul. But in the real deal thing, right, Raquel has been someone who's improved her game every step of the way. She deserves it. She deserved it. You know, she was the NXT Women's Champion, never held singles gold on the main roster, what, four-time, five-time Women's Tag Team Champion. I hated, not that I hated because I would never hate it, but I wasn't a fan of the old back pose, bicep smiling Raquel. I'm like, we don't need that.

1:16:17We need you to be a little bit more roughneck. That's what they're trying to do with Rhea too. Yeah, a little roughneck. And then what happened? She turned a little harder, a little meaner, got a little nastier. And in that Kevin Nash tweet, where a lot of people would have gotten their feelings and got butt hurt because he tried to give her instructions on how to work on the as a big. She took it to heart. She changed her whole game a little bit, right? I mean, it helps when you're not called Mr. Bojangles. Well, yeah, we'll skip on that. But yeah, man, she did her thing. She switched up her game a little bit.

1:16:51Yeah. And bring it. Long overdue for some singles goals. So congratulations. Congratulations. To you, Raquel, one half of the hard R's. And to Universal Ruka. Because people are mad. Like, guess what, folks? That's Tyler Reign won for Soul. She's going to have multiple title reigns with multiple titles in her career. It ain't no big deal. I saw some fool on Twitter talk about she beat Becky. Y 'all let her beat Becky Lynch. First of all, she got jumped. It was three on two. Come on. What do you want? She didn't lose fair and square one-on-one. That's for the soul Ruka stands out there. but either way I'm excited to see what happens with Raquel being the only one holding gold in the Judgment Day because EO is taking that.

1:17:41Well you're getting a hold of yourself because right now she's not the only one holding gold. EO taking that. This weekend. I was going to make a point. This weekend. EO taking that. This weekend. Got you. Oh man what was I going to say? See you keep doing that and you're messing up my chain of thought man.

1:18:04now I can't remember I was about to make a point oh the point being watching Unreal right people now are complaining about Judgment Day but here's the thing Shay is we talked about this John Cena touched every one of the Judgment Day members in that match right there's no way with the way people have an issue with Gunther the way he's being booked you cannot let that what they did with Cena go to the wayside right like he made it a point it was it was a point that he wanted to have every member of the judgment day he let raquel get offense on him he let roxy get offense on him you know finn jd dom in the match so you can't this group you can't treat them as anything less than the stars because now you're really diminishing what john did for them right so yeah it makes sense you got to keep them strong.

1:18:54I think they're just in a weird spot because like when the judgment day happened I mean like when Edge got kicked out which by the way you and I still talk I still I think there was so much pause meat left on that bone that we didn't get because I forget who got hurt or Babyface got hurt at that time they needed to switch Edge into that spot so we lost what could have been that judgment day I still man kind of wish edge who knows where it could have Damian Priest Rhea yeah that would have rivaled Bloodline for sure eventually but as far as like a faction goes when that was you know the Finn JD Priest Rhea and Dom and eventually Carlito that was the hat that was the judgment day that people know like you know that was the that's when they were on tv every week as they say yeah peak and uh oh and also r-truth that's true yeah you can't forget true man he's always been there and um yeah this new iteration while live was completely justified in all of her actions it's still like now y 'all do feel like bad guys like now you guys do feel like the hee hee hee crew that's what you want though right out of your heels yeah but like the one before were bad guys but they were just too cool they were cool Dom was cool too cool bro it's like who doesn't wanna and shout out to Dom also for doing the Monday Night Mommy thing with I said that was before Liv yeah yeah yeah like that like it's just by the way that you cannot dismiss what that meant for rhea ripley's character yeah rhea we know is on top now but she she was always you know the a star in the making but once that mommy moniker got added to her that just took her character up to a whole another level so you can never dismiss what that relationship with dawn did for her if i ever see any of them in the same room at the same time.

1:21:08Ah, look, it's the thing. It's the thing we all used to like. Yeah, that was dope. And then, so we had that. Congrats, of course, like I said. And I don't want to, and again, Raquel points at me before the match, and then she wins the title. I'm not saying it's the reason she won, but you can't tell me it's not the reason she won at the same time. I mean, you know, I'm not saying we together, but like my grandma asked about you. Does she really?

1:21:39nonsense this is what y 'all listen to this is what y 'all look for man and then you know so like you know as the card went on like I said a lot of fun but the reason a lot of us were there was there was going to be a there was going to be a face to face yeah between the travel chief my your our travel chief and the visionary the revolutionary my co-worker apparently said freaking Rollins and you know Roman comes out and all the pomp and circumstance and all the glory. Yeah. He had all of Los Angeles ready to acknowledge him, but before he could... Look at the beams of light! Look at it. Yeah, the chosen one.

1:22:14So he got to the Los Angeles, and before he could ask for acknowledgement,

1:22:23here comes Seth. And he made it so Roman couldn't get the acknowledgement, so Seth makes his way to the ring, and now we've got these two, the biggest stars of their generation face-to-face on the mic, and they did their thing. Yeah, they did their thing. What I really loved as a wrestling fan is I got to see Seth Rollins standing tall right before the PLE, man. Love that. Love that. Because you feel... That's usually a bad sign. That's usually a bad sign. I remember when Rock and Roman were standing over Cody and Seth right before WrestleMania 40, I said, oh, no. Yeah, but they won that match.

1:23:07So it's not a foolproof thing. Dog, Roman is going to lose that title. That's what that meant. That's what that meant. Roman's about to lose this title, bro. It's really over. Like, everything that I built on Twitter and, like, put all of my all into is over. It's a wrap tomorrow. Dunzo. And it, obviously, he's still doing his thing. You see him. You see him, bro. Magnifico. My man got the Bloodline 12s. They out in, I'm sure, a reseller store somewhere. No, he had on the... No, no, no. I'm saying the fact that he has gotten to the point where he's got his own Jordan. Right. You know? I mean, it's the tribal chief.

1:23:52So he and Seth, they get a little... And Seth does a good job of like... Those are the Flint 13s. They were. I'm getting those when they come out. You know, Roman did his thing. Seth did this thing and he's on this whole tip of, you know, you were handed everything. You were the chosen one. Whereas I had to work extra hard to get where I'm at. Oh, boy. It could be. It could be the truth. You know? You know? But look, they both got there. Yeah. And Roman was having a flashback. He comes out of the ring. He punches Seth in the mouth right off the bat. I'm pretty sure Seth was going to acknowledge us in the crowd.

1:24:25I have a feeling. But before he got a chance, Roman said, uh-uh, and he punched him. And then Roman came out to grab a steel chair. and he was standing right in front of me. And that's when Kutcher jumped up and he was like, don't do it. Don't do it. And so Roman's having a flashback. He's like, heck with it. He goes in the ring, he shoves the chair in and as he crawls in, boom. So he got stomped. And you saw those pictures earlier. That was Seth Rollins standing over him. Triumphant for the moment. Winning this battle. Not the war yet, but he won this battle. Yep. And he goes back. And was this the thing you were talking about?

1:25:03Yeah. Because it was a good night for me. After the show go off, you know, we get a little moment with the chief as a crowd, as the home crowd. He look up at you with your hands in the air like you just don't care. It wasn't really. But he pointed at you. What's up with your coworker? Well, no, that's before this. But the fact is, when he was in the ring, he was sitting there. And I looked at you, I was like, is he? And you were like, yes, because I give you props. When he came out, he dead stared right at you. And I was like, he's looking right at you without question. But then after you go back and look and you see him stand there, he is looking right at me.

1:25:45And we're talking, and you know me, I like Seth and I like Roman. So I ain't going to take a side, but I was like, look, you still got time. And he's, I don't know what he was saying, right? but he was saying something and I knew I had to, you confirmed it. You were like, he was looking dead, right? Okay. So the show goes off and to get to where we, you were there. I making my way. Cause I lost you at one point. Cause people were coming. You know, Ashton's not trying to sit around. So I was like, I gotta follow. We get through the back. And as we're going through the back, Michael Hayes comes out and he reminds Ashton that they did something at the garden together, man, back in 2000 and like two or three with Edge and Christian.

1:26:27I do remember, matter of fact. And then Roman pops out of the gorilla. So Ashton goes and speaks to Roman, and they chop that for a few seconds. Now, I'm sitting there, right? Like, I've only met Roman Reigns one time, and that's when we interviewed him in Indianapolis two years ago before the Rumble, where they told us we had six minutes and we got 10 minutes, and that was great. That was like Dougie Fresh. Right? But that's the only time I've ever met him. Now, you got to see him at Saturday Night's Main Event a few weeks ago. So I'm not expecting Roman Reigns to know me or remember me. I'm just, you know, a fan.

1:26:56I'm just going to shake his hand because that's what you do. So I step forward and I went to put my hand out and he looks at me and goes, what's up with your coworker, man? And I'm like, wait, what? And he's talking about the fact that Seth Rollins has guest hosted the Rich Eyes and show. At first, my thought was he talking about Brockman because Brockman had said something, which I'm going to show you later because I know you didn't see it. But it turns out he was talking about Seth. So right off the bat, Roman is calling Seth my coworker. Yeah. You know, he's like, what's up with your coworker?

1:27:25Because Seth, you know, the two days he was here last week, you know, we had some things to say about Roman. I was sent the videos. Yeah. And so it was just cool getting to chop it up with Roman a little bit. You didn't want to take up too much of his time. But as you can see, me and the tribal chief there. And he told me that, yeah, I was like, well, wait a minute. So you've seen the show and the clips from Eisen's show? And he goes, yeah. He goes, I watch all that. and I don't know if I should tell you this, but I'm going to tell you this anyway. He did compliment Seth. He said, Seth does a great job at that stuff.

1:27:57He goes, he does a great job. And then I told him like, yeah, you and I, we're trying, even on the Eisen Show, we're trying to hype up SummerSlam. And he goes, I really appreciate that. You know, sometimes, you know, Minnesota. So he was like, I appreciate the fact that you, you know, you're hyping up the show and being positive and promoting it. And then of course, before I left, I had to shoot the shot, right? And I said, I know you and O'Shea just saw each other. I said, matter of fact, he's probably going to be walking out here any second. And I said, I know he asked you, but I can't leave without saying we would love to have you on no contest wrestling.

1:28:32It would be an honor. I said, I know you don't do a lot of these things, so I understand. I said, but it would mean a lot if you would even consider it. And he gave me the nod and said, yeah, let's try to make that happen. So hopefully one day very, very soon you will be getting the travel chief on no contest. But it was just cool. You know, you and I, we're on the balance of kayfabe and real, right? But to keep it real, Joe, who I met in the back again, that was just dope. Cool dude. You know, he took some time out for bear, you know, and just a really good dude. But, you know, in the ring he had to do, you know, he does what he has to do.

1:29:14So we pulled the curtain back a little bit. It was really cool to be able to chop it out with them. All right. Yeah, you know, there's Roman, there's Joe, there's Seth, there's Kobe. I'm going to answer. I'm going to give you a reply as Shea, the man, and then Shea, the co-host of the No Conscious Wrestling Podcast. Okay. So Shea, the man, is like, that's cool that, like, you know, he watches because like that's his that's his old friend you know so he i know that there's a part of him that is happy maybe you know and it's like you know look at him do his thing like in his element like killing it he does great and like he so much so he had to give props you know the first time thing he sees you and he's like what's up with your co-worker bro i was tripping yeah so like it means you know that's that's cool you know i'm i'm glad that he has those things because when we talked to him you know i asked him is there anything he misses from like the big dog roman reigns and he talked about the camaraderie you know being with the boys and like so that's really nice to to have that tidbit to know that and it's just like why people who have roman as their favorite like we've seen the documentaries we've seen everybody talking about and that was a cool little showcase of that.

1:30:38Yeah, cool. And now, as the co-host of the No Contest Wrestling Podcast, D-Lo, get it ready. I don't give a f*** about that, TJ. I need him to lock in. I need this victory, alright? I don't give a damn that he watches the Rich Eisen show with Seth Host. You should watch it every day, first of all. That's true. First of all, I don't want to hear all that nice shit. I'm just telling you. Lock in! Alright? I'm already worried about Jacob and the twins and now you happy to see him on TV? He didn't say he was happy. He does great. That's because you need to send him there permanently, baby. You cannot like somebody and say they do a good job at something.

1:31:30It wasn't like he pounded the drum all night for me. Yeah, man. So I don't know why you're so upset. F*** that. Golly, where's the toxicity around here? Look, maybe it's me. Remember, John Cena doesn't rap with anybody. You know who he rap with? Me. Roman Reigns might not like Seth Rons. You know who he gave him a little modicum of respect to? Yeah. So maybe it's me, dog. May Sol Rooka cry. May Mark Henry get choked up. I did that. You're kind of a d***. that's what I'm like you lure people in with your welcoming ass attitude and your positive outlook that's what it is you're toxic and you're f***ing Jordan propaganda and Clipper jargon but he's a sexer fan you confuse me and I am my blood pressure is crazy right now you're killing me dog you are killing me but all in the name of no contest all in the name of no contest bro hey I just saw Ashton Kutcher wearing your yeah that's right that was the point also also I didn't get to talk to him about what I wanted to talk to him about which was oh I told him about that but I need to he need to fill me by the way Sunday night we were at his house we were talking with his nephew Jackson about that moment yeah and he goes yeah I was I went to the kid's choice and I made a speech and I was like yeah by the way Shea wants to tell you Scarred to this day Scarred So just know that I did tell him about that Yeah One day you can I'm going to say it now Yeah I'll let you But yeah I told him He died laughing Yeah I don't know Who to trust now What do you mean that Anyway For those who remember that speech He starts it off real crazy And drops a bomb On everybody there And is like We're going to go past this And then to find out That his family Don't even call him that One day, maybe we'll let him come on no contest and you can share that with him.

1:33:35His real name is going to be on the day. But something else happened when we were sitting there because next to me, two seats away, was a legendary figure in the world of professional wrestling. Which is, by the way, I think the second or third time this has happened to me. Oh, how? Where she was right there in front of me. and it's just like a it was a moment of just like oh my god there's so much history like i want to talk to you about your son so bad because he's my hero and like man like i like bro when i was a kid like i had the rocks book like i had like and so like it was like i get so excited to this day just to see her enjoying wrestling.

1:34:24So yeah, The Rock's mom, Miss Otta Johnson, she was sitting right next to me. And you popped this picture. Yeah, I was like, TJ, I need this. She, and let me just break this. It's The Rock's mom. We all know who The Rock's mom is. But at one point, I was sitting next to her and we briefly spoke hi. And you know sometimes you have your phone, right? Yeah. And your phone will just light up. Yeah. Her phone lit up randomly and her screensaver is a picture of her and Rock. Yeah. And she sees me look at it because I kind of went, oh. And she looks, she goes, oh, that's my son. And I leaned in. I was like, oh, trust me.

1:35:01Trust me. Everybody knows. I know who you are. And she laughed. And it was just like, you know, just the kind of, you know, I love the show Young Rock. I love that series. And the way she was portrayed in that series, she just seems like an incredible woman. Everything we've ever known or heard about her, you know, the way she used to run wrestling herself as well. and you know giving birth to one of the biggest stars not in wrestling but in the history of mankind right so it was cool to kind of sit here next to his mom miss hatha and chop it up with her and the respect that she was getting from the wrestlers who would look over every single one particularly the usos you know stew the cameraman yeah the guy stew he came running over and was showing her love and it was really cool and uh you know at some point i can't remember who was cutting a promo in the ring but somebody called someone an asshole and she turns to me she goes what did he say and i'm like oh wow so i leaned into her i don't know if that's when you took this picture or not but i leaned into her and i went well he called him an a-hole because i couldn't bring myself to say it i was like he called him an a-hole and she just looked at me and laughed and sat back because there's no way i was going to stay in front of her but yeah man it was just it was really cool because i've seen her at so many matches throughout the years just seems like a wonderful woman that everybody shows love and respect to.

1:36:21And then you showed me that you got that picture. Immediate. And I was like, yo, dude, thank you for taking it. Bro, I know what that was like. He would want this right now. That picture that we just showed of me whispering to her was so dope. And I wish you would have gotten the picture she had of. Yeah, because she asked me for a picture and I'm like, I mean, yep. So we took it and I wanted to be like, can you send me that picture? Maybe we should take one on my phone, but I don't want to bother her. So I didn't want to do a thing. But I told her, I was like, your son, and I've told him on two occasions, is my hero.

1:36:54Like, that is my guy. And I told him as such, and I just want to say thank you. And I said to her, you know, when the phone popped up, and she goes, well, that's my son. I was like, I know. And I was like, well, is he going to be here? Because there was a seat, two seats between us. And I was like, is he going to be here? She goes, nah, he's not going to be here today. because I told her that's good because if he would show up, I wouldn't know how to act. Yeah, right. And if you and I would have heard,

1:37:27man, hamburger. I don't know what we would have done. Yeah. Like, oh my God. But yeah, so just wanted to give her flowers and her respect and give a shout out. Burn that arena down. Yeah, it was really cool. That was a cool moment, man. So yeah. And the fact that we have rock cut out, we have the life-size cut out with the turtleneck, the chain, and the fanny pack. I've got it in the studio. I keep it by my desk with one of a Hawaiian shirt that I – or I guess a fake Versace shirt that I bought. But, yeah. Versace? Yeah, Versace. Versace. So, yeah, that was awesome, man. It was all in all, for everyone complaining, maybe that's how it was on TV.

1:38:10But there in the building, it was a load of fun, man. And also, sorry, Chuck, but when you're live, you don't see all the commercials that they probably saw. That's true. We didn't, you know, screen went blank. That's all we see. Yeah, you know, we in there cracking jokes, you know. But, yeah, SummerSlam is coming. Minnesota, don't you know? Don't you know. We are, TJ, I am 84 % sure we are going. 84? 84. All right, well, that's better. That's a good percentage. It's not 100, but it's close. But it's Randy Moss. That's true. Glitter, glisten, gloss, floss. I catch a beat running like Randy Moss.

1:38:50There we go. SummerSlam, August 1st and 2nd this weekend, man. It's going to be real. We're definitely going to get a new women's WWE champion. Yeah. For this ladder. Yeah. That's without question. And then we'll see, you know, about these other matches, these other championships. So what are you most looking forward to? whether we're there or not what match i need and to quote him i need roman reigns to beat seth rollins and i kind of don't care about what happens in any other match because i'm gonna have to talk about it anyway but to have to deal with the fans online i just need this for roman because, like, man, the resume is imperfect.

1:39:41He had a shirt during the first Tribal Chief run, the four years. And on the back of the shirt shows every single person he beat. And then for Seth Rollins, it said DQ. And it's like Anthony Davis, when he was at Kentucky, went one loss. and like their hat said N-O and then dash one like number one but like that dash one will haunt you forever bro. It's just like eh, you couldn't beat us. It's like the Lakers when they were there worse I mean when I say worse, the worst statistical win percentage in the history of the Lakers they beat that 73-9 Warriors team. One of those nines is the worst Laker team there ever once.

1:40:32And I will hold on to that forever. And that is Seth Rollins. So you gotta get rid of that, bro. And Colby Lopez is a great man. He's a great man. But Seth Rollins, the character, is a contradictory jerk. I'm not gonna say asshole. That's mean. And also, I didn't get to say this earlier. Sammy. Sammy. Come on, bro. Let it go. Let it go? Let it go, dog. Three weeks ago, Sammy Zan was world champion. Yeah. And now you just want him to let it go? Let me tell you something. That's wild. Eusta is a rooster that don't grow no more. I'm so tired of Sammy Zan. It's just not fair. And that's not his fault, but they've been playing this character for a long time.

1:41:19You got what you wanted. Wow, I thought you was on that Sammy wagon. Finn Balor, I hope you handle your business. You won't because Sammy's the juice of your story. But, like, my God. You're over it. My God. Where are we headed with this? I mean, the triple threat at Mania in Saudi with Sami makes sense. Makes sense. So what am I? I think I'm looking forward to it all. You know, obviously Oba and Brock, that's a true passing of the torch of what I think is going to happen with this being Brock's final match. Of course, Roman said, though, that, you know, the two biggest, I guess, stars of their generation, you know, this is like watching Brett against Sean.

1:41:59You know, this is like watching Steve against Rock. This is like watching Sean against Brett, you know. Did I say that already? I didn't. Yeah. You said Brett against Sean. Brett against Sean already. But Sean against Brett was a good one, too. That was true. You know, yeah, we're talking about the people who define their generation. So looking forward to that match. And, you know, earlier I was talking about Roman said to me, what's up with your coworker? man. So to fully explain what he meant by that, I want to show you something when Seth Rollins was guest hosting the Rich Eisen show last week.

1:42:38Oh, you got clips? Oh, we got clips. I want you to check this out because, you know, Chris Brockman who, you know, he's a Seligs fan so you and I both got beef with that. He had some things to say about the Travel Chief which I personally didn't like and Seth, he went along with it but I had to bring something up to Seth which I think you're going to like so you guys check this out. Brockman, you stirred the pot a little bit you stirred up some controversy you had a power less power less rankings yeah i had the top 10 you know summer stories that i'm already yeah just kind of over sick up don't want to hear anymore there was one specific one that caught my eye oh yeah and uh yeah and i've got a bit of a bone to pick so let's let's get to it let's hear it and then let's talk about it we're a seth rowland show around here enough enough of acknowledging roman reigns Here's the deal.

1:43:27It's been how many years and this guy's still looking for acknowledgement? Like, are you an only child begging for acceptance and love? Like, what is going on with this? What are we doing? Enough with that. This is Seth Rollins' neighborhood over here. Enough acknowledging Roman Reigns. I'm over it. He said it again. Yeah, that's my guy. Boom. Go, Brockman. He gets you, guys. Come on. This guy gets it. He understands, all right? On the other hand, over here, we had TJ Jefferson, and O'Shea was sitting in this chair, O'Shea Jackson Jr., sitting in this chair, and he scoffed. He scoffed that you were upset with Roman Reigns.

1:44:13He's a Roman guy. Oh, is he now? I mean, you know that. I just saw O'Shea not that long ago. I heard. He looked at me. He smiled. Gave me a big old hug. he was so he's in he's in backstage at uh at one of our shows this past weekend he was right there main event it was a terrible night for me but at the end of the day he was there and he was he was all like glad handing me like we were best friends you know and then he comes out here and he does something like that and i gotta ask myself what are we doing here guys yeah what are we doing here you're right brockman are we are we are we gonna how much acknowledgement does this guy need you How much do we need to just put a finger in the air and acknowledge Roman Reigns?

1:44:56How long is this going to go on? What is this? What kind of validation are you seeking, sir? How much do you really need? Come on, get over it. We get it. Tribal chief, head to the table, yada, yada, yada. You got the chief. It's all there. We get it. We've acknowledged you. Plenty. It's time to move on. Let's move on. Yeah.

1:45:19But...

1:45:27I met Kobe Lopez Kobe Lopez is a good man Chris Brockman when I see you Chris cause I saw your ass today well he was here you were here when he did it I'm in New York by then cause y 'all got called no when he did that top 5 though Yeah, I know. But, like, now you kiki-ing. And ha-ha, yeah, O'Shea sucks, right? No. Yeah. But he said that. Hold on. I saw you, bro. All right? We cool. I don't tell people about the weird baseball you keep under your desk for your planner. You plan a fesshy eye. All right? My God. I thought we had something, Chris. We got past the Laker Celtic thing. We've been hating on the Sixers in our secret group chats.

1:46:18but now this means war love you TJ this means war he snitched I mean I guess he's not snitched Seth got the clips but like Seth Rollins I get it but that don't change the fact that this weekend you will see my your our tribal chief victorious and all will be right in the world. It's the last thing he has to do on a resume that will go down into the Hall of Fame. And his name just happens to be Seth freaking Rollins. But, you know, I did point something out to Seth. All right. Okay. And I pointed out the fact that maybe this run that Roman's on he had a little bit to do with. A little. Let's check this out.

1:47:16Hey, can I point something out real quick? You know, Brockman says he's over-acknowledging Roman, and you're like, we're acknowledging this. Am I wrong for pointing out that you kind of caused all this? How did I cause this? What have I caused? Well, a certain still chair shot to the back changed everything, and that led us on the path that we're on right now. Look, man, I ain't got the dog in the fight. I like you both, but I'm just saying. I have a so I did it I'll tell you this you're right you're right I created the trajectory that we're all on right now I did that way back in 2014 when I broke up the shield by putting a chair in Roman's back and like last time you hear we correlated it to the Celtics breaking up Brown and Tatum there you go alright so thank you sorry I'm just saying it's a valid point.

1:48:11If he doesn't hit him with the chair, who knows? He put him on the path. If you don't hit him in a chair and backstab your brothers, maybe they don't turn evil? Have you not seen Disney in your life? Dude. Thank you. And that is where my annoyance with the character of Seth Rollins is. You swear everything's happening to you. Well, here's another thing. You pushed the first domino. You saw me point it out. I told you I don't have a dog. Because you're a journalist. because you were a journalist. You know what I'm saying? Integrity. I majored in journalism. I minored in English. Yeah. With the words.

1:48:45I can't count. I told you that. Numbers-wise, I'm awful. Right. But words? Yeah. Who learned you how to spoke? But speaking of another time that Seth Rollins, who kind of, I don't want to say lied, but he kind of did, is when he came on and he hosted the Rich Eisen show when we thought he blew his knee out. Now, all disclosure, I was in Texas that day. I was at all in. You're texting me. Now, you claim to like Colby, but not like Seth. But you didn't just text me. Then you called me. And there was panic in your voice. Yeah, bro. You were like, dude, Seth's hurt. Seth's hurt. You were very, very shook, which now I can understand.

1:49:26Yeah. You're being mad. So Seth Rollins, he came. He hosted the Rich Eisen show. He has a brace on. He has crutches. We all assume. Had a little knee wheelie thing. We all assume. No, he didn't have that. No. We all assume this was legit, but I'm a wrestling fan. So I always know there's like 1 % chance that something can't be up and up. You find out he wasn't hurt. Yeah, how about that? But we played a part in the ruse of the century. Now, the reason I'm bringing this up to you is on Friday. Oh, my God. We were visited by, by the way, I got to say this. My birthday was on Thursday. Yeah. We got sent donuts by the man Becky Lynch.

1:50:04Becky Lynch bought donuts to the set on Thursday. and then she dropped them off and then we said hey we should have becky on the show on friday seth asked her absolutely so becky lynch was on the rich eyes and show friday she came on and i had to bring out how her husband made her lie to people and i don't think she liked that too much i can lie you know if it's part of the the thing you know i find it hard to lie to my friends okay family you know like his dad texts me right after he was like what's going on with colby and And do I tell his dad? I don't know how deep he wants to go with this, you know?

1:50:43It was, yeah. Is Aunt Arlene going to tell people? I don't know. You know? I had to, like, get my brother and my dad on a group chat and be like, hey, listen, here's the deal. This was after the fact. I didn't tell anybody before the fact. So, like, everybody was on a group chat. It's fine. Just shut up about it. Don't say anything about it. Yeah. But you were a part of it. You put up a video of me on the crutches. Yeah, I can lie to the general public. No, I just can't lie to my friend. Like Bianca was texting me and she was like, oh no, I think Seth just got hurt. I think Seth just got hurt.

1:51:16Do you want me to go check on him? Do you want me to go check on him? Yeah, sure. I think he's in the trainer's room right now. Will I go? And I was like, um, uh, I'm sure he'll text me. She's like, wait, is this a work? Actually, I'm just going to stop texting you. She got it. Yeah. But then we went out for dinner with them, and he went out with his crutches. Yeah, you told us that. So we really kept that lie going. It was unreasonable. I went to unreasonable lengths, like 100%. And she was there every step of the way, supported me through thick and thin. I didn't support the lie. It was beautiful.

1:51:52Now, Becky, were you in on how he was going to reveal at SummerSlam last year with the drop? Yeah, I was on the bus when that conversation happened. You were. Yeah. Yeah, she was a consultant. Yes, I was a staunch believer that you shouldn't be in your gear. That's right. They wanted you in your gear, and I was like, I can't be in this gear. Yeah, the initial was, oh, you're coming out because you're cashing in. You have to be in your gear because it's going to be a match. And she was like, absolutely not. If you're in your gear, then they know it's a dead giveaway. Don't do it. Right. But I was, I don't know.

1:52:25You listen to the man. Smart. Always listen to the man. That was well done right there. Thank you. But it's like watching The Americans. You ever see that show? I remember it, but I didn't really watch it. It was just a bunch of spies. A bunch of spies just letting us all believe this nonsense, and then they unveiled it. It's probably the coolest thing for a couple to do. But, yeah, if you get a chance, check out some of the YouTube videos you can look it up. It was really cool to have Becky and, you know, Seth. You could tell he was a little nervous, man. And it was the first time he's ever interviewed his wife like that.

1:53:02And she shared the story about how he met, like what kind of game he spit. And I asked her, was she into it at first? And she was like, no. But yeah, so go ahead and check that out. That was a great appearance. And, you know, at the end of the show, I did extend invites. Yeah. You know, I said, you know, I brought up the fact that Obafemi was a four-time guest here. And I was listing all the people who've been guests. And I said, you know who hasn't been a guest, Seth? He's like, who? And I'm like, you. You. And he goes, oh, well, he goes, yeah. And I said, look, I figured maybe you didn't like us because O'Shea's always trash talking.

1:53:36He goes, no, I like half of you. Yeah, well, come see that half. That was the half. So hopefully I put it out there. At some point, we'll get the man Becky Lynch on this. And hopefully at some point we can get Seth to come. I don't know, though, because this man's always talking bad. So maybe we'll invite Colby and then Seth can just tag along. I think that's the best way to do it. Yeah, that's better. Now you're cooking with gas, man. But yeah, great, great, great interview. It was great to kind of see that. Like I told Seth, man, last week he did five hours of live television, which as you know, no one really does five hours of live TV in a day, right?

1:54:13He did Good Morning Football for two, came here for three. And I told him, look, Brent Hart never did five hours of live hosting. Roddy Piper, Shawn Michaels, Stone Cold, The Rock, none of them ever did what Seth Rollins got to do those two days. So it was just really cool as a wrestling fan to be able to, and of course he does a good job talking other sports, a lot of football talk. And, you know, it was fun. It was really fun, really cool to have him be a part of this. And like Roman Reigns says, he's now my coworker. Oh, man, I'm glad you said all that. His self-esteem needed it. Listen. Anyway, y 'all, it's been a great show.
