0:35ladies and gentlemen welcome to another wednesday episode of the no contest wrestling podcast i am
0:42O'Shea:the heel that's letter eight o'shea jackson jr hey k-a petty guerrilla hey yo it's me it's me It's the T-double-O, the J-I-double-G-2-J-G, TJ Jefferson. And let me just tell you something, man. I know we are primarily a wrestling podcast, but I know we got a lot of sports fans who watch us. And we'd be remiss if we didn't discuss what a great week, couple weeks in sports, dog, like outside of wrestling that have been going on between the NBA finals, you know, the Stanley Cup final, the World Cup is on fire. There's a lot going on in sports right now. And we got to acknowledge that like it's your tribal chief.
1:22Oh, UFC 250. Some people opposed to it. Some people were for it. You know, I don't want to get into people's feelings on that, but that was a spectacle too. There was just a lot going on since I lost last saw you.
1:36O'Shea:Bro, let me tell you. All right. Number one, just to bring up the point that you just brought up, I was amongst the people who were like, I cannot believe they are letting this dude have a UFC event on the White House lawn like this. If Barack Obama. He wore a tan suit, by the way. Did you know that?
2:04O'Shea:But if, you know, it's just if he had a Floyd Mayweather fight on the outside of that lawn, boy. Oh, man, the world would have shook. Oh, my God. But it was nothing short of spectacular. Oh, my God. Yeah, I get people in their feelings, and I'm just going to be one of these people like, you know, sometimes not having an opinion is fine. I don't know how I feel because I'm looking at it from both sides. There's some people that are truly upset that this happened at the White House. There are some people who love it. I honestly got it. I'm just going to be honest. I don't know how I feel, but I do know watching it because I did watch, because I'm a fight fan.
2:52Visually, it was fantastic. A lot of stuff I could done without certain social media things or Bitcoin, stuff like that, but if I'm just going to talk about the fights and especially the main event, it was something else. Visually, like I said, it was pretty is an amazing visual and I'll just leave it at that. And the things that are said, there are people who could definitely I got two words for it. They could suck it and he knows who he is. Derek Lewis, you let me down. I'm not even going to say his name here on NCW. Don't deserve it. But yeah, so I mean, just having to acknowledge that that was a spectacle, Doug.
3:36Like whether you liked it or not, that was a spectacle and you probably won't see it again. So, you know, we are wrestling heavy, but you and I are also sports fans, and we also got to, when we get a chance, let's talk about, you know, all types of sports.
3:51O'Shea:Yeah, yeah, and I definitely want to bring up WWE's homeboy, Jalen Brunson, the New York Knickerbockers. Look, Jalen Brunson's part of the WWE family. As you know, a few years ago, he got in the ring. He and L.A. Knight were about to, you know, take on Tyler Halliburton. Or Tyler Halliburton. Yeah. My bad. The Halliburton. Halliburton. Tyron. I don't know why I said Tyler. Tyrese Halliburton and Logan Paul, right? And so that was when Brunson was coming off a broken hand, so he couldn't really get into the mix too much. But, yeah, you know, in the garden he showed up, and they showed up again where it really counted in this NBA finals, man.
4:37O'Shea:Yeah, an older David beat a young Goliath. He might have one down the road. We don't know. Right, right, right. But, yeah, that was – everybody knows I love high energy and I love – I get a kick out of annoying the hell out of people sometimes. And that's exactly what the New York Knicks fan base is all about. So I was extremely happy that they beat a Laker rival in the San Antonio Spurs. And I believe the term, TJ, is Bing Bong. Bing Bong. Bing Bong. Just a great series by them. And Jalen Brunson kind of showed improved. Much like, and I'm drawing a wrestling correlation here. Don't worry. There's a reason for this.
5:26you know back in the day in wrestling wrestling was a just a giant sport right huge man sport we're talking you know six six seven footers you know big muscle guys that is just what wrestling was and then along the way when we kind of got to the Bret Hart Shawn Michaels of it all you saw wrestling kind of go to a smaller more athletic type wrestler and that's what the NBA was right for years it was a sport ruled by giants you know all your big men your greats your your wrestles your chamberlains you know your abdul jabars or and then jumping into the o 'neils and you know the giants ruled until a steph curry kind of came around and then you know made the three-pointer a thing kind of changed how everyone plays basketball and you kind of didn't have that big man dominant type of game anymore um but even at that people still question whether someone Brunson's size, 6 '1", 6 '2", point guard, could get it done.
6:25And he definitely did. He showed improved. He put them on his back. And Jalen Brunson, you know, he stands as the king of New York right now. And that's kind of where we're at in wrestling. It's not about the Giants anymore, man. It's about, you know, guys, little smaller guys. Like, look at your, you know, some of your champions, especially in AEW. You know, like Darby Allin just got done with a championship run. And I feel like if you are a casual fan and you just looked at Darby Allin, you probably go, what, this guy's a wrestling champion? But the fact of the matter is, you know, he put on banger matches.
6:57He's a little bit out of his mind, but he's a smaller guy who went into the land of Giants and succeeded. And that's what Jalen Brunson did, right, this whole playoff series. He went against the biggest dude in the league, Wemby, went right at him, took his best shots, you know, didn't back down. And so, yeah, so it's kind of like parallel with the way wrestling was. It used to be the land of the Giants, and now, you know, you got the smaller guys out there who are really commanding, you know, eyes and viewership, you know, Ray Mysterio Jr. And by the way, one day we're going to have to talk about maybe Ray Mysterio might be the greatest wrestler of all time.
7:32I mean, come on, man.
7:35O'Shea:I literally had this thought this last weekend. Like, it's so crazy that you say that, bro, because I'm like, have I been selling Ray Mysterio short? Oh, we haven't. No, definitely. But when you have these goat conversations, he's not in them. Bro. Yeah, that's a debate for another episode. Yeah, so I'm saying Jalen Brunson, how he made the little guy happy. He's now the king of New York. And look at what we had on, I don't want to jump ahead, but man, Ray Phoenix and Axiom, man. And they put on a banger, two smaller guys. You know, we're always going to have your Obafemis and your Brock Lesnar's and your big dudes.
8:21But, man, Brunson showed up for the little fella. Hey, little fella.
8:25O'Shea:Yeah. And I also want to bring up, if you guys are watching, it seemed that Victor Wimbyano was using some wrestling moves himself. Right. My God, bro, can you not grab the back of my neck and throw me into the ground? Look, five weeks ago, people were like, oh, Victor, he's got to get tougher. You know, he's too soft. And now he showed that he's a little bit. Yeah, don't bring a gun to work. I'm just saying. Now you see that he's got a little bit of that dog in him. And now people are like, oh, well, he's dirty. Well, what do you want? I mean, like, yeah, you dirty, dog. Come on. Can you not elbow me in the neck?
9:00O'Shea:And, like, the elbow, I'm fine with. I'm a Shaq fan, you know. You know, sometimes people got to catch an elbow, bro. But, like, yeah. You know, ref, I don't think he can do a couple of these. I think a couple of these might be, you know, worthy of one game suspension, but it's the finals. And he's a star and he knew it. So, you know, I mean, if he was on my team, I'd defend him until the cows come on. But he's a disgusting San Antonio Spurs. I was just thinking of the match, you know, back in WCW where, you know, the giant, the big show, Paul White took on Ray Mysterio Jr. That's what we were looking at.
9:36And Wendy going against Brunson, man. So, like I said, there's always a wrestling parallel that you can draw on to almost anything.
9:45O'Shea:You just led me into a beautiful wrestling point today. We get on this show. We talk about, obviously, the people who have the titles. Yeah. Like the big boys are Roman and Cody. Look how life has always comes back right around. and then you look at the up and comers like you know your your brawn breakers and your obas who are just like obviously going to be titans for a long time to come but bro the most powerful man in wrestling of any promotion is freaking Dan Houser he is far too powerful for what has been written, what has really happened. Like, hey, faith-wise, he's the most dangerous man in the company, of any company.
10:46O'Shea:He's now leaked over to the NBA? Like, we're really out here talking about life. Come on, man. As soon as he lifted the curse, they lost a game. Come on, don't be that person, man. This is real NBA life and the Knicks and Spike. Give props to Spike's lead. give props to Ben Stiller and Tracy Morgan and Chalamet but even though I love wrestling I'm not jumping on the Knicks Dan Housen I don't want to get I don't want to get cursed but I'm not giving him credit for this I'm sorry this is not oh my god we're going to have to bleep that we ain't bleeping enough you got to chill bro Keep it real, man.
11:31O'Shea:I'm still trying to go to Fanatics Fest. If he there, I can't. That's fine. And we can talk about other things with Dan Housen. I'm just not on this. Someone else asked me, hey, you want to talk to Dan Housen? No. This is real deal stuff, man. Oh, go, bro. Okay, man. Okay, man. All right. You said that. TJ said that. I said it. I don't care. I got the Lord on my side. I ain't worried about no curse. Are you kidding me? Because your teams never win, TJ. Well, they used to. They used to. Oh, that's another thing I'm going to have your back right here I'm going to have your back right here Because, you know, I might have been Experiencing some agriculture And I might have Come across a Cowboys fan Who was Spewing some real stuff Some real stuff So the next time they get on you, TJ The next time they get on you While being a Dallas Cowboys fan You tell them, listen I haven't won in like 30 years.
12:33O'Shea:I haven't even got a playoff game in, right? 30 years or something crazy, right? We've got playoff games in, yes. Well, Super Bowl in 30 years, right? Do you know I've given y 'all a 30-year break and y 'all still ain't caught up to me? Brother, let me tell you something. Every argument... That's kind of impressive. Every argument that can be made, I've either already made or have folders on my laptop about the arguments. Like, I'm already preparing for football season when someone's going to say that crap to me. Do you realize there was a San Francisco 49er fan in full gear who had the audacity to make a video laughing that the Knicks won a world title before the Cowboys did?
13:16And I just left a comment. Does somebody want to tell him? Because people, for all you people that say the Cowboys haven't won since 1996, you realize the 49ers haven't won since 1995? That means their drought is longer than ours, but nobody wants to discuss it. Don't even get me started on this. Do you realize that there are only 14 teams in the time that we haven't, that we've gone without winning the Super Bowl, only 14 NFL teams have won a Super Bowl? That means there's a whole lot of other franchises that ain't done nothing. So, yeah, I'm ready this football season.
13:53O'Shea:I absolutely love that fact you just dropped on the No Contest Wrestling Podcast. From now on, TJ, I will make sure people realize that every sports show that I'm on, you know, we get on the Cowboys a lot, but the 49ers, not only is their drought longer than the Cowboys. I mean, yeah, they've been to the Super Bowl. But they got a Super Bowl losing streak of three. Yeah, they've been to the Super Bowl. Great. But no one ever says get to the Super Bowl. They always say win the Super Bowl. By the way, let me just rephrase this. If Dan Housen could make it so that the Cowboys, no, I'm not even going down that path.
14:29I'm not even going to do it. You know what I do else would I say, though? There's some happy birthdays that we should wish. Some friends of the show, some people we don't know yet. Mark Henry, friend of the show. He had a birthday last week, so I wanted to tell him happy birthday. Bailey our family happy birthday to you like we say all the time Bailey has a special place here in our NCW hearts it was her birthday and also Kendall Gray who we've yet to have but NXT superstar her birthday yesterday and by the way speaking of Kendall Gray did you see the match that she had not this week but last week with Kalani Jordan because if you didn't I always like to tell you guys go to YouTube look it up those two women seem like they're wrestling soulmates and those two put on a fantastic match and if you're not into flipping and you know people who don't like they say the other company they do too much flips and stuff if you don't like that type of wrestling you're not going to like this match but these two Kendall Gray and Kalani Jordan I salute you two women you ladies put on a banger last week and so I just wanted to acknowledge that.
15:42What a great match. And I'm looking forward to the next decade or so of those two going at it in the wrestling ring. It was pretty, pretty good. 16:54Hold on, TJ. I think we're being interrupted by...
17:00O'Shea:Somebody's at the door. Oh, someone's knocking? yeah somebody's at the door right now what is he doing here i guess we'll just do what we got to do hello ding dong hello yeah what is uh what's going on what up hey man how y 'all gonna have a no contest wrestling podcast without the best big man in the business a.j. francis man Hey, welcome. Welcome back, brother. It's always good to see you. You got to be the only guest to really take TJ serious when he said you could just pop up. Look, AJ, I've been telling cats every time they come in, your family now, you want to let yourself in, help yourself to the whatever's in the fridge, put your feet on the couch, and you actually took it.
17:47You're right. You did it. So what else? You know what I'm saying? Yeah. You know what I'm saying? I can't drink Kool-Aid no more because I'm diabetical, as my nanny would say. but you know what I'm saying? I'm going to still be in that fridge. You got some Diet Coke, man, foreplay? You know, we got everything you need, baby. My man, my man.
18:03O'Shea:I mean, AJ, like, you know, I know you got your beef with Elijah, but by the way, hold on, because I really want to get into this. What exactly, let our listeners and our viewers know, how exactly did you get the rights to a man? you got the man's whole catalog. I own that brother. Listen, I own that brother. Yes, I do appreciate the fact that I can say I own another man and I get away with it because I'm a brother. You know what I'm saying? I do understand that, right? No, hey, dude. The other way around, you know, we've been doing it all wrong. It would have been bad news, right? But nah, so I mean, if you follow TNA, you know, and if you don't, I'll catch you up.
18:45Basically, long story short is if you paying attention to pop culture right now, you know, the hip hop and country vibe is huge right now. I mean, just look at it. Big X to Plug's country album. You know what I'm saying? Like the hip hop country vibe is cool and big right now. So, you know, with Elijah being more of like a country folk kind of, you know, Johnny Cash kind of artist, I say, you know, let me make something with Elijah. We can make some money, money, money. The brother didn't want to work with me. Now, I don't know why. Maybe it's because I beat him on Impact, you know, three months ago in Atlanta.
19:18Maybe because I pinned him one, two, three, chokeslammed him out his boots. Maybe that's the reason why. But he didn't want to work with me. So naturally, when you don't want to work with me, you know, now I have to own everything about you. Now I'm going to buy your catalog. I'm going to buy your name, image, and likeness. I'm going to make sure I learned from the greats, the Michael Jacksons, the Suge Knights of the world. Like, I learned from the greats, right? So, you know, the thing is, is like if you don't know that who owns your property, that means somebody can own it anytime, any day.
19:52Right. So I decided to buy his catalog. Didn't run me too much. You know, it was it was it was worth the investment, but it wasn't too crazy. You know what I'm saying? I probably bought more stock in Walmart for real. But but but the thing is, like the brother had to learn the lesson the hard way. So now he's sued. Now we're going to face the lawsuit. Right. And he think that I'm going to just let it go. I'm not. I own him. Right. And at Slammiversary, if he got any nuts at all, maybe he'll decide that he wants to come and face me. maybe he wants to put his big boy pants on and realize that I'm the best big man in the business and the key word in there is business he didn't have his business in order so I took care of his business and now if he wants to settle it we can settle it at Slammiversary if you're not scary
20:46O'Shea:now this hasn't been announced are you are you calling for a match with him at Slammiversary right now absolutely absolutely I'm Mr. Slammiversary ain't no Slammiversary without AJ Francis ever since I came to TNA. Stole the show with PCO two years ago in Montreal. Stole the show with the moonsault off the ladder and the dive off the ladder through the ladders. I was worried about you. In the ladder match with Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy and you know what I'm saying? I always show up at Slammiversary. I'm the new Mr. Slammiversary so ain't no Slammiversary without AJ Francis. So if Elijah wants to put his name in the long list of people who've been next to AJ Francis stealing the show, he's more than welcome to.
21:27O'Shea:So this is an NCW exclusive. We got AJ Francis versus Elijah at Slammiversary. I love this. If he got the nuts, we don't know. If he got the nuts, parentheses. The brother is scary. The brother is scary. You know what I'm saying? He didn't want to collab with me. You know what I'm saying? I had to force his hand. Now I own everything about him. I might end up owning his guitar, his beard, his hat, I might own it all. I might make him sell his car. You know what I'm saying? I might own it all. I would assume that the guitar came with everything. You mean you don't own the guitar already? I mean, the specific guitar?
22:07No, I don't. You be breaking them all the time. There's always time to negotiate. As long as the money's right.
22:16O'Shea:This is crazy. TJ, not only have I never heard somebody say, yeah, I studied the grades. Michael Jackson, should I? I've never heard nobody say that before. You break into our house. Michael Jackson said, hey, Paul, how was your rights? Paul was like, I don't know. Michael's like, oh, okay. 24 hours later. This is crazy. This is nuts. Alright, so now we have an official match announcement. Yeah, this is wild. And I know Elijah, Elijah low key has been a thorn in your side for a little bit over a year, because even when you all were in the NXT locker room and you had that tip in there. And I think this is a, this is a culmination of everything finally coming to a head.
23:09Yeah, absolutely. And the thing is, is like, even when we went to NXT, he was so weak that he tore his tricep like a punk, like, like what kind of punk tears his tricep in a wrestling match? What a loser. Oh, my God. AJ Francis made it through the match unscathed. You know what I'm saying? I was in the match. You know what I'm saying? So, like, you know what I'm saying? Like, maybe just I got too much grown man in me. Maybe that's the problem. Too much grown man strength for him.

23:39O'Shea:Too much grown man. Listen, now, I mean, all right. I'm sorry. Like, you barged in here. We got to kind of make this happen. But it's a lot that's been happening over at TNA. You talk about toughness. You talk about toughness. And I'm hearing one of the toughest to ever do it, Tommy Dreamer, is out of there? Yep. Talk to us about Tommy. The thing is, Tommy has always been a guiding force for me in TNA. Tommy's one of the reasons I'm in TNA. If it wasn't for Tommy Dreamer, there wouldn't be no TNA J. Francis. But at the end of the day, Tommy is a grown man. And he, I talked to him today, and he going to be fine, you know, and that's the way this business goes.
24:28Like, there's ebbs and flows. Two years ago when Scott was let go, people thought TNA was going to be done then. They did, yeah. And we're not. We're on AMC every Thursday, 9 p.m., right? Right. Right now, obviously, Tommy letting go, being let go, I guess they mutually decided to, you know, part ways. But like, you know, I love Tommy. And I'm grateful for everything Tommy's done for me. But at the end of the day, it's T and AJ Francis, right? I got to look out for me. AJ Francis is still in T and A. I hear all the little whispers, all the little, oh, T and A this, oh, T and A that. I done heard people that for the last year have been calling Tessa Blanchard every week.
25:17name but a child of god and then when she decides she wants to get released all of a sudden they gonna miss her i don't believe you you need more people i don't believe you right and the same thing is the same the same people who for the last three six months been talking bad about tommy saying tommy's creative and tommy this and tommy that then tommy has to leave and now all of a Tommy, I don't believe you. See, these people are fickle. They spend their time talking about things that they don't know, pretending that they know. And it bothers me because people try to tell me about TNA, and I'll be in the building.
26:01Right. I talked to Carlos on the phone. Okay. I called Carlos, talked to him on the phone. Carlos, to this day, The only boss I've ever worked for that answers my call every time I call him. Only boss I ever worked for that answers my text every time I text him. That's in wrestling and football. You mean Roger Goodell didn't return your text? You know what I'm saying? You know, I'm still waiting on Dan Snyder to text me back. You might as well forget about that one. To this day. I was on the Washington Commanders for two years and I had zero conversations with Dan Snyder you might be better off I thought his ass was a myth
26:52O'Shea:but yeah TNA still doing his thing I just saw the Tessa Blanchard release TJ I know that struck a chord in you I know that bothered you and then you got what man y 'all look whatever man tommy dreamer leaving it seems like there's a bit of a shake up happening obviously the macklin thing but what that means is that there's new opportunity for the hierarchy around there and to be honest with you like this is the funniest thing to me tna is the only wrestling company that when people ask for their release they are immediately granted their release. Yeah. Right? Gotta love that too, by the way. No other company, no other company does that.
27:38They'll make you go to the contract. There have been so many stories from every other wrestling company that somebody wanted to go and they wouldn't let them go. But soon as TNA is like, oh, you don't want to be here. All right, fine. I hope you do well. You know what I'm saying? Do your thing. I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm hoping that you do what you want to do with your life. Okay, cool. Now we the bad guys. And it's like, Like, people act like people want to – all these people may have left, but they left him for a myriad of different reasons. Right. Like, I love Mance, and I love Steph Delander, but Steph wanted to wrestle.
28:13That ain't got nothing to do with the Tessa Blanchard situation. That ain't got nothing to do with the Tommy Dreamer situation. That ain't got nothing to do with the Steve Macklin situation. Each one of those situations are completely different and completely nuanced. but when you lack critical thinking and you lack the ability to be able to look at things from an outside perspective and you just want to be oh phrases if you get too close to the elephant you can't see the whole elephant you just see gray balls oh right okay right yeah right you you they gotta back up and see the whole elephant right now the whole elephant is that tna is on AMC, we are on a major network and we hadn't been for years.
28:56When we go to the upfronts at AMC, the people at AMC love what we're doing. They love the fact that we are bringing more viewers to our time slot than they had previously. And not just like a little bit, like 50 % more viewers.
29:14That's substantial. Especially in today's day and age and TV ratings. right yeah so like is there room to grow absolutely does tna need to keep going absolutely but that's always the plan everybody has to do that right so it's like i don't i think that we being graded on a different scale than everybody else because i just listed so many different things that are going the right way that nobody talks about nobody's talking about the fact that tasha The steals re-signed to TNA.
29:45O'Shea:Yeah. A W. A W. You know what I'm saying? We just don't care about the negative. Exactly. They ignored the good news, right? Because you're going to get clicks on the bad news, right? That's life. 100%. That's life and that's the IWC, you know? Yeah. It turns me out that there's literally machines on Twitter that are just there for negative comments. Literally. Who is making racist bots, by the way? Can we get to the bottom of that? Russia. That's the thing about, you know, TJ, we're talking about just like how all sports intertwine. And the World Cup has really made it so a lot of people from Europe have come over to America and been like, you know, we're really under some propaganda because it's very nice over here.
30:41The best thing right now are watching everyone who is from a foreign country come to America and make these videos about the food that they're eating. And by the way, I think we all live here. So we know sometimes the American food, when I go over to Europe, completely different. I don't think I think our food, they're trying to do a little something to us. But people are coming over here and bugging out about portion sizes and they're bugging out about just refills. Refills. You know, somebody was like, if you see a Texas roadhouse, you got to go. I ain't never been to Texas roadhouse. You know what I mean?
31:13You know what the crazy thing is? I live in Texas right by Texas roadhouse. And that thing be jumping. I'm telling you, every day, the honey butter be jumping every day.
31:24O'Shea:They let you buy a bucket of butter, TJ. Okay. So, yeah, to me, and I feel like, you know, we talked about the bots. And this is like the good side of social media and the good side of humanity. because when you see all these people coming together and having a good time and making these videos, man, it just makes me even more excited for the World Cup than I already was. I love these interactions people are having in America. I will say some of my favorites are the Koreans in Mexico. Yo, I've seen some videos. I need to check that out. Shay, you got to see some of these videos. Ain't nothing funnier than a thousand Koreans in a taqueria in Guadalajara.
31:59I'm telling you, it's the funniest thing I've ever seen in my life. It's the greatest thing ever. Yeah, so that's what it just shows, man, what sports can do, bringing people together, what wrestling can do, bringing people together. I did see one of my favorite things was I've been on an escalator probably 500 ,000 times in my life. Never one time did I ever think to do what Norway did was, did you guys see this? About 12 Norway fans were rowing up. And I was like, how did I never in my life think to sit there and do that, man? Because you like your life. because if you don't give up fast enough, you sure get caught in that little thing, you're dead.
32:36My man in the back had a flag wrapped around his neck. I'm like, yo, B, you better get up before I get sucked under that joint. I done seen too many Final Destinations to try something like that. It's not a game out there. It's not a game out there.
32:50O'Shea:Yeah, they definitely have been talking about, like, you know, they made us think that America just, like, everybody got a gun. They always shooting at each other. that's not necessarily it ain't on our personal all the time unless you in certain states right it's a beautiful thing to see but you know the negative people always want the negative the negative is going to get pushed the negative is going to be in the zeitgeist yeah you know I love perfect example how was your time at TNA O'Shea we said that's hella true. We both, me and TJ have said, like, of all the wrestling events we've been to, I had the most fun at TNA.
33:37Yeah, I never got to go into Gorilla before. You know, to see the show from that viewpoint, you know, you, AJ, you welcomed us, you know, with open arms. You and Shay had a little beef. I'm assuming it's squash. You know, because you know, we had to have Mike Santana come help you because I was way, I was too far in the back. I couldn't help you out, but luckily I'm saying that. So I'm assuming you two brothers are. You got it, bro. But yeah, and AJ, I said, and I've always said this, I'm like, if everyone in life treats you the way you get treated backstage at a wrestling event, this world would be such a better place, man.
34:15And yeah, so we definitely had an awesome time the few times we got to hang out. And I think that's why both of us were a little worried that, you know, maybe everything ain't co-pacetic back there. But now talking to you, we know things are good. Just people have their own agendas that got their own paths they got to walk on. Exactly. And, I mean, the people that they're talking about, I mean, I've seen rumors. I don't know. I have no idea who the new head of creative is going to be. I don't know. I'd be talking to Carlos, but I don't be in them executive meetings. So I can't even sit here and pretend that I know who's going to be.
34:47But I've seen rumors that it's supposed to be apparently Road Dogg. And if that's the case, that would be cool. Because, hey, I have a pre-existent relationship with him when I was in WWE. He loved Hit Row. He was one of the main proponents, you know, pushing Hit Row. That makes sense. You know what I'm saying? So, like, you know, if it happens to be Road Dogg, that'd be dope. I mean, I reached out to Road Dogg as soon as I found out he was leaving WWE because I wanted him to come to TNA. Yeah. I actually reached out to Carlos and asked him, had he talked to Road Dogg? This is, like, months ago.
35:23so like I don't I don't know I really don't know what the situation is but if that is the case that could be cool like that could be very cool and the thing is is like to me you never know what's coming it's not my job to run TNA from an executive level and I can't sit here and pretend that it is my job is to entertain every time I go out there and I do that my job is to come out here and promote the product as best as I possibly can, which I am currently doing and I always do. That's why you see me at the Mark Wahlberg charity golf tournament last week. That's why you see me on the field with the Baltimore Orioles three weeks ago.
36:04That's why you see me at all these different events. That's why you see me popping TNA up because we are a legitimate, great product. You cannot go to a TNA show and tell me you didn't have a good time. I don't care if you see me or Mustafa Ali or Moose, or if you see the system, or if you see BDE or unfortunately Casey Navarro or Elijah or Mike Santana or Nick Nemeth, it doesn't matter. They're all going to be great performances. You know what I'm saying? And like, I personally know I'm, I'm the best big man in the business. So obviously the best thing you can get is AJ Francis. That's why it's T and AJ Francis, but there's so much great product.
36:46and that's before you throw in the fact that the only reason we even have the tv deal is because the likes of the hardys and leon slater right some of the best performers in the world and for my money leon slater is the greatest you heard it here first aj french's prediction leon slater is the best wrestler in the world and wow he does it at every level on the mic in the ring. He's got the look. He's got the swag. Best wrestler in the world, Leon Slater. Now, he's not the best big man in the business. Let me be clear. But he's the best wrestler in the world, right? And so we got a great product, man.
37:28And I'm so thankful that I get to be a part of it. I'm a TNA lifer now. I was in TNA before we had the TNA deal. And unlike all these other guys, I don't plan on leaving. Right? it's okay it's okay if you want to go somewhere else no hard feelings that's just helping you get the hell out my way that's right right i want to be tna world champion and i've proven in the ring and out of the ring over the last two and a half years that i deserve to be right and i'm going to keep proving it time and time again because not only am i the best big man in the business but i missed the slammiversary and i'm gonna steal the show again that's what i do
38:11O'Shea:now when is so now you're going up against Elijah when is it where can people see it let you know like let the people know where they can see this Elijah versus AJ Francis finale July I said July I'm sorry June 28th June 28th right Boston Massachusetts ew you know what I'm saying on TNA Plus you know yeah I know I know you know the Lakers No, Lake Show. Lake Show. Shout out to Lake Show. Lake Show. You know what I'm saying? But we're in Boston on June 28th. It's going to be great. The last time we were in Boston was for Bound for Glory last year. That was a great show. So this is going to be a great show, man.
38:53And, you know, there's already a stacked card. You know, Nick Nimitz versus Mike Santana for the TNA World title. There's going to be an Ultimate X match. You know, we got a bunch of different really good matches. and I'm looking forward to it because I know that when I go to these shows, I'm going to steal it. So I'm looking forward to competition. See, I love the competition. That's what got me to the NFL was the fact that I love competition. I love it. So I want everybody on TNA to think that they're going to steal the show from me. They're not going to, but I want them to feel that way. And let's give a shout out to the two, all the wrestlers we named.
39:31There's two that stand out that we didn't name, and that is Leying Lee, the knockouts champion, doing her thing. And Cedric Alexander, the X Division champion, just wanted to throw their names out there since we were mentioning so many other people. You know what I'm saying? A new guy, Fabian Eichner, coming in there. You know, he's strong like bull. You know, you two are probably going to ask him. No funny. No funny. I'm being super deadass when I say this. The strongest pound-for-pound wrestler I've ever been in the ring with is Fabian Eichner. And I say that because when I was still in the performance center, I trained with him.
40:02Right. And he's the only person that is smaller than me that didn't need any help from me to pick me up because I didn't even know it was about to happen. Oh, word. He picked me up on his shoulders like a fireman position and did the, you know, the rolling senton that Seamus does. But he just did that. We were in class. He just did it on the fly. And I was like, as I was going up, I was like, oh, wait a minute. What the? Yeah. He did it all by himself. Strongest pound for pound dude I've ever been in the ring with, Tabean Iger. Yeah, so you guys are probably going to have to meet down the road at some point.
40:42And I'm sure when that happens, it will be gold on the line. Don't be kidding me. I'm soliciting. He wrestled. I saw somebody say he wrestled like. Exactly. I saw somebody say he wrestled like. He looked like Stone Cold with the super serum. He be doing springboards. He did a springboard in some Timbs, which is arguably like the blackest thing I've ever seen in my life. By the way, I peeped that. I was like, well, how is it that him and LA Knight are the only two cats to rock Timbs and wrestling? Because they're awful. Not awful shoes. I own Timbs. I love Timbs. Wrestling and Timbs. Brutal. Like, terrible decision.
41:20I don't know. Speaking of the decision, You mentioned this on social media. I haven't talked to you since I read this and you said it. But let's bring it up now. Let's get some of those clicks. You don't like wrestlers or you don't want to be wrestling out there in tight or trunks, right? That was something. No, you said it right the first time. I think anybody that wrestles in draws is losing their mind. It's little kids in the crowd. I don't understand. I just don't get it. when pants are readily available, I'm not even saying you have to have, you know, a shirt on. Like, I think I have a shirt on.
41:57You know what I'm saying? But I don't think... But it's little kids out here, guys. Like, if pants were good enough for Shawn Michaels, I feel like they should be good enough for everybody, guys. You want everybody in tights? No. Not tights. Not necessarily everybody in tights. You know what I'm saying? You can... I mean, there's different ways to swag it. You know, it's like my old tattoo partner, Ashanti Adonis, a.k.a. Tootie Miles. He used to wear the overall joints. Right. You know what I'm saying? You know, you can swag it different ways. You know what I'm saying? But the little draws is crazy to me.
42:33If I wear little draws to Walmart, I'm going to jail.
42:39O'Shea:First of all, my parents, back when I was when I was younger, my little brother was younger. My parents took my little brother to some WWE live event, right? And I'm unaware of this, all right? I'm like, I'm probably at SC or something, but my parents had took my little brother and my nephew to some WWE live event, came back home, and they were talking to me about it. They were like, yeah, and some dude was out there, and my mama sent us some pink panties. and I was like pink panties exactly you come to find out years later bro she was talking about CM Punk just because he had on them little draws y 'all don't think it's crazy that they come out in the little draws, kick pads in a t-shirt, that's not crazy to everyone but me, I'm the one that's wrong when you put that on Twitter I was like wow okay he's kind of okay and then but there was the responses were crazy because people were arguing with you about your opinion right like somebody said to me once like I this was before we did the podcast or anything I was on Twitter and I gave like my five favorite female wrestlers I had people hit me up like oh no Trish Stratus in there and I'm like well this is my list Like, you know, this is like I said to somebody once, my favorite movie character was Captain Jack Sparrow.
44:16And this guy on Twitter got in an argument with me and said, there's no way he's your favorite movie character. I'm like, how can you tell me what my favorite is? So when people were going out to interview with you, I'm like, it's like when O'Shea trying to tell me that Iceman is not incredible. I'm like, come on, O'Shea. I have never said that. I have never said that.
44:36O'Shea:Do not have the quarter vowels after me.
44:43Yeah, you don't He already got enough people coming at him He don't need that Don't pollute him
44:51O'Shea:Leave me the hell alone But I will say Anytime I ever visualized or thought of myself With a wrestler, I was wearing Either shorts or long trunks But yeah, I never could see myself John Cena Or jeans shorts, bro Shorts, baby I get it I understand and way back in the day when we was pretending that wrestling was actually a true sport and not entertainment like they wrestled they was in underwears bro and I get it alright okay that's fine we are in big 2026 yeah man you know what I'm saying no more Roman Reigns is the greatest wrestler of all time. What? On the list. Yes, I do. If you look at his performances in WrestleMania as well as the fact that he's been in the most main events of WrestleMania, I mean, even if you look at the main event he had with Punk this past year, people were saying that's one of the greatest main events ever.
45:59I personally think the triple threat with him, Punk, and Rollins the year before was even better. but that's you know that's my personal opinion Seth Rollins also wears trunks or tights rather they don't wear tights Seth Rollins wear tights Roman Reigns came out in cargo pants and a bulletproof vest like 50 cent and now he got the now the vest is gone and he got just the cargo pants it's a boost if it's good enough for Roman Reigns and it's good enough for John Cena and it's good enough for Shawn Michaels and it's good enough for Seth Rollins it should be good enough for everybody else, bro. Yeah.
46:37It's something I knew I wanted to talk to you about at some point.
46:41O'Shea:Listen, if you got people online hammering to see you in some draws, there's a lot of questions, a lot of compliments. It's okay. It's okay. I'm not judging. If you want to wear the little draws out there as a wrestler, wear the little draws, bro. But I don't like it. Rey Mysterio wear pants. Rey Mysterio wear pants. Greatest luchador of all time. Jeff Hardy wore a fishnet shirt. Yeah. Matt and Jeff both wear pants. You know what I'm saying? I'm going to call him Clay. You know what I'm saying? Exactly, bruh. But people want to act like, but here's the thing. This is the truth. What people don't want to discuss is I am the greatest heel in wrestling, and it's not close.
47:25And here's why it's not close. Because I can give a personal opinion that I don't think grown men should wear draws in front of children and I'm the asshole. I give a personal opinion or I make a joke. People forget. I make a joke about people wearing ASICs on Twitter six years ago and it sent the entire internet up in flames because I talk about people wearing ASICs, bro. Like, let's be for real, bro. The problem is not what's being said, it's who's saying it. The messenger. Because when I say I'm the best big man in the business, or I say I'm the best heel in the business, everybody got a problem with it.
48:08But when...
48:09O'Shea:This episode is brought to you by Starbucks. That is fire. Whoa, that's good. This might be the drink of the summer. Okay, I like this one too. I'm rocking with it, okay. Try it for yourself. Starbucks refreshers concentrates are coming home. Find them in the coffee aisle and make it yours. You know, MJF says it, it's okay. Or when, you know, Dominic Mysterio says it, it's okay. Or when Matt Cardona called himself the best wrestler, you know, it's okay. Or, you know, it's okay for them. But I have a track record too. Go put on my matches with Nick Nimitz or Rich Swann or Casey Navarro or Mike Santana.
48:49or you can put on my matches with Elijah or you can put on my matches with Cha-Cha Charlie. You can put on my matches with literally anybody, bruh. I mean, look at your
49:01O'Shea:story, your storyline with Joe Hendry kind of skyrocketing that, man. And that's another thing. We're not even going to talk about the fact that Joe Hendry, his bigot, he did the same thing for 10 years. Soon as he started running his mouth about me, he became a megastar. This isn't an opinion. This is an exact fact. But he already had songs about Drew McIntyre and Matt Cardona and Big Show and all these other people. Right? These are facts. But as soon as he started running his mouth about me, he became a megastar. Like, these are facts. People want to ignore facts because it doesn't fit their narrative because people like to pretend I'm not who I say I am.
49:44I'm exactly who I say I am every single time. I perform every single time I show up, right? So it's like, okay, you want to hate on me? You can hate on me. It's just going to make me more money. I don't care. Also, AJ, if you don't believe that, right? If you don't believe that, then what are you doing? What are you doing? If you don't think that you're the best at what you're doing, then go do something else. Exactly. And it's also a situation where it's like, bro, I mean, it's not just me saying it. I be proving it. Does Blink's report say it? I be proving it. You know what I'm saying? You know what I'm saying?
50:22When I re-signed to TNA, it was announced by ESPN. That's a fact. Yeah. Right? Right. Whenever I do my Cam Fu drive, it's on the Scott Van Pelt show. That's a fact. I've been on the Pat McAfee show three times. the only wrestler that's been on the Pat McAfee show and not assigned talent to WWE. That's a fact. Right? So it's like. You've been on no contest twice. You've only been on no contest twice. It's a fact. These are facts. People hate facts. I don't understand. Like, you mad at facts? You mad at reality. Our guy, Chris Brockman, who works with me on the Rich Eisen show, that's his favorite thing to say, man.
51:06People hate facts. They hate facts. They hate it. They hate it. It's like, what you want me to sugarcoat facts? Be a grown man.
51:16O'Shea:Hey, grow up, man. Grow up, bro. I ain't got time. I'm 36 years old. I ain't got no time to be coddling no grown-ass man. Well, we definitely going to see you abuse one, what it sounds like, June 28th on TNA Plus Live in Boston. Slammiversary. AJ, man, thank you for this. I don't even know how to sell this afterwards, DJ. Like, we got our house broken into. Here's how you sell it. A family member had a break and came home and helped himself in, like the way we've been telling them to do it. In the words of the immortal prophet Drewski, deem it home, p***. I don't even know what that means, but it's fun.
52:03O'Shea:Get the bleep ready. AJ, thank you, bro, man. Appreciate you. Before you go, because we let you go, we started the pod talking about just what a crazy week and a couple weeks we had in sports. We talked about the World Cup. What are your thoughts about the NBA finals, man? Oh, man. First of all, shout out the Knicks, man. Shout out the Knicks. Because here's two things that I genuinely thought it was going to be Spurs in five. I thought whoever came out of the West was going to smoke the Knicks. I genuinely believe that. because A, okay, so he already had that championship pedigree, right? But B, the spurt, Wimby looked unstoppable until the finals.
52:48And I think not enough people are giving credit to Cat for playing physical on that man and making him - And Mitch. And Mitch. Yeah, and Mitch too, playing physical on that man. Yes, playing physical and pot take and some 60 and 70 year olds might be mad at me about this, but Jalen Brunson is officially the greatest Nick of all time. You know, that's been the conversation. A lot of people, some fans agree, like I'm not a Knicks fan, so I look at it like this. That's not my argument. That's not my argument to have, but you're making a compelling argument. Jalen Brunson needs a statue at MSG. Oh yeah, for sure.
53:32That's got to be in the works already. You know what I mean? Like, the Knicks, nobody thought that, not even the craziest Knick fan in the world thought it was going to be Knicks in five.
53:45O'Shea:Yeah, I said Knicks in six, just because it rhymes. Me too. You know, I said I'm a Sixer fan, so after, like, game four, after they got done with the Sixers, I came on the show and I said, I don't care who comes out the West. The Knicks are winning this championship, you know, because sometimes it feels like the story's already been written and we're just reading it and I felt like that's how I felt. 100%. I felt like... Shout out Dan Houser for making it happen. We just had to... O'Shea wants to give Dan Houser props. I on some real stuff don't. I'd rather give Spike Lee the props. I'd rather give Chalamet the props.
54:19Shout out Spike Lee. Can we talk about Spike Lee in the garden standing up yelling at the referees? Is that allowed? I don't think that's allowed, Spike. He'd be going over the line. He'd be on the court yelling at the refs. I don't think that's allowed, Mike. Hey, do the right thing is a classic. Malcolm X is a classic. I'm not hating on Spike Lee at all. I'm just saying. I don't think you're supposed to be on the court. Y 'all don't have to. Yo, man. Unlike the other celebs, though, Spike pays for his ticket. So he feels like I can do this because I'm actually paying some money. And he's been paying for him.
54:51Yeah, 30, 40 years. 30 years, I guess, yeah. Been paying for him. Big money. And if anyone knows about big money, it's A.J. Francis. He knows. The best big man in the business. And that business is money, money, money, money.
55:11O'Shea:And I also will say, not only is he the greatest Nick of all time, but Jalen Brunson is the greatest Jalen to ever play in the NBA. That's where to my mother, man. I'm telling you, bro. That's valid. Come on, dog. And it's like 800 of them. I think because Jalen Rose was the first, and we can say without a shadow of a doubt, every one of them were named after him, you got to give Jalen Rose his spot at the top. Oh, no way. Jalen Brunson's going to be right there with him. Nope. Nope. Nope. Jalen Rose, number two. Jalen Brunson, number one. Hey, big shout out to Jalen Rose moms for creating iconic names.
55:50That's what I'm saying. If it wasn't for Jalen Rose, his name would have been Jimmy Brunson. It wouldn't have hit the same. It would not have hit the same. Yo, Jimmy Brunson's like a murderer. Jimmy Brunson. Yeah, dude, actually. Jake Brunson? Jimmy Brunson sounds like a Netflix documentary in Scotland. Everything going wrong. Jimmy Brunson seems the name they were going to get B-Rabbit and 8 Mile before they settled on B-Rabbit. B-Rabbit. Jimmy Brunson. So again, I keep wanting to let you go, but then I'm thinking now, how's the music going right now? You working on anything? Oh, it's great. Yeah, man.
56:24I actually was going to... I did. I did. I dropped the diss track on Elijah. I dropped the diss track on everybody, actually. Okay. All wrestlers. That joint went crazy. Because the thing is, for years, I've been telling y 'all that I'm the best big man in the business, the best rapper in wrestling. And I've been saying it. And now, all of a sudden, everybody act like they knew all along. Uh-uh. Uh-uh. No, no. We remember. when you tried to compare me to them cartoon raps that all these other dudes was doing. When Nipsey Hussle was telling you that I'm elite, when Snoop Dogg was telling you I'm elite, when DJ Hooker was telling you I'm elite, when Bun D was telling you I'm elite, you tried to compare me to yappity yappities, and that ain't me, man.
57:14I be trying to tell y 'all. And now all of a sudden, I really do it. So now I talk my trash and I be begging somebody to say something. I dare you say This goes out to all y 'all wrestlers that make music. I dare you to say my name. Hey, like O'Shea's favorite song. Whisper my name and don't say it too loud because you got to come here and you know I'll pop out. Come on.
57:37O'Shea:We had no contest, TJ. We don't hope. We wish. We wish. If you want to make a no contest song, we don't want to get dissed or nothing like that, even though I know you two have beef. I'm going to let y 'all be on the little intro. You know the songs where the hook is not a hook. It's just somebody talking. I'm going to let y 'all get y 'alls on. Oh, let's do it. I'm down for that. I need it. That's what we like to do. I need it. AJ, man, appreciate you. AJ, man, appreciate you so much, dog. I appreciate y 'all, man. Thanks for having me, man. I appreciate everything y 'all do. I do appreciate the fact that y 'all allow me to use y 'all platform because I know that you don't have to.
58:20and you use this platform with so many people that are so much more important to me like John Cena. So I just want y 'all to know that I appreciate y 'all. Hey, can we tell you something about the John Cena thing? Much like you. He definitely can't rap better than me, but keep going. Much like you. We didn't ask John Cena. John Cena said, I want to come on the pod. So John Cena, like you, he used the spare key. I got a call one day. I'm in the middle of the Rich Eisen show and Shay's like you better call me you better call me I'm like what's up he's like John Cena just asked if he could come on the pod I said what so so yeah you know much like both of y 'all hmm yes
59:05O'Shea:whatever man whatever day whatever time I'm there we'll make it happen oh yeah my brother June 28th Slammiversary we're gonna see you and Elias and that was AJ Francis that's that appreciate y 'all man and uh we're gonna we're gonna ask you do you smell it it smell like money money money all right well when we tell somebody just to show up you know yeah no one's really taking us up on it yeah we gotta do our zoom links not expire that was wild Gave him that Zoom link like a year ago.
59:53That's dope, though. Our boy AJ Francis coming through, letting us know about the state of TNA. You know, good to know. I was a little worried there when I saw a bunch of people leaving, you know, from, like you said, Mance to Macklin to, you know, Myla Grace, you know, who we met at her. She had her tryout to now Tommy Dreamer and Tessa going. We were wondering if maybe, you know, the ship was sinking, if something's going on. But AJ was like, nah, it's all good, man. People just, you know, they got to go follow their own path. And Idiots is coming out on August the 28th. I just want to say that.
1:00:282026. But, yeah, shout out to AJ for coming through. And, you know, to any of our other guests. Like I said, I tell you guys all the time, come through whenever.
1:00:36O'Shea:It's on you. Yeah, this is a couple of, never mind, I'm not even going to go there. But yeah, there's a couple of people that are invited at any time. Stop it. Stop it. Oh, by the way, you know how I started the show earlier? I was talking about happy birthday to people. There's someone I forgot. I put it on Twitter. I don't know if you saw that. But yeah. I don't number my rappers, but I know I have a top 10. And this man's in the top 10. Is he one? Is he 10? I don't know. But he's in there, and he's always in there. He's always going to be in there. That is the great Ice Cube had a birthday the other day.
1:01:11And you know him a little bit. You know what I'm saying?
1:01:13O'Shea:Yes, sir. He, you know, it's always, I always hate when his birthday and Father's Day don't fall on the same day. Because now I got to go get him a second pair of shoes. Yeah, you know, I had to, for his birthday, I hooked my man up with the black Levi threes. You know, because nobody wears Levi's more than him. I'm going to tell you right now. Oh, yeah. Like some 501s. That's just like, he's just wearing Levi's, bro. So I hooked him up with the black Levi threes. And TJ, I've given my dad a lot of shoes. That's his thing? He saw them and was like. These are hard. Which shoes were these? The black Levi Jordan 3.
1:01:58Oh, word. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I almost bought them. I almost bought them. They were out of my size.
1:02:04O'Shea:He was like, when did they do this? I was like, earlier in January, they came out with a Levi like pack, but I just got to the blackness. He was like, Shane, these are hard. And I was like, oh, it's like a silent, like a, yeah, you already plotting outfits. but then he said he pointed to the back of the shoe and you know how jordan's always got like on the back of the shoe it's either like a you know like a a little like hook up or like something like that got the jordan logo on it but it always poke out it's it sticks out a little bit over the yeah yeah yeah and the levi's they're closed off and he was like and they don't have that thing for my pants to get snug on and i was like does that bother you because is this like a thing that bothers me?
1:02:47O'Shea:He was like, yeah, I hate when my pants get caught on the back of my shoe. So I was like, dang, alright, yeah, I got you. But yeah, he don't know that on Father's Day, he's about to get them world's best dads. Thank you, TJ, for that one. Let me tell you something. Those shoes are hard. They've almost become an everyday shoe. Normally, I would have it three on today. Today, I got some, you know, the old school Air Max where I got wearing these Johns today. They don't got that. But there was something I noticed, and now I'm starting to piece it together. During the convo with AJ, I noticed that you turned and you were looking at someone and it looked like you grabbed something.
1:03:22Don't tell me that was your pops that came in. Because I was like, he was talking to somebody.
1:03:27O'Shea:Yeah, my dad came in because he's just a weird loving dad. And he was passing me food. And I'm like, dad, buddy. I mean, I traveled to my parents' pool house for all my Zooms and things like that. I blame you. Yeah, he came in and gave me some of his pie. Just happy to see his son's weirdo dad. Well, I mean, we missed out. That could have been a great moment, just to have Ice Cube just come through, not even say nothing, and just hand you a piece. What kind of pie was it? Yeah, Keyline guy, bro. Keyline guy. He came in and was like, you want some of this? Yeah, because you made that face, and I was like, who's he?
1:04:09Like, what's he doing right now?
1:04:13O'Shea:Yeah, man, but best dad in the world. Father's Day, hook him up with the world's best. By the way, for those who don't know about the world's best dad, Jordan, they come with a little like trophy in the inside of them where you can like write on a card. On the back of the trophy, it says, thank you for making me believe I could fly. Oh, you know what? I never turned mine over. I just saw it. I was like, oh, that's dope. I tell you, that cheered me up real quick. I was like, ah. Okay. I'm going to have to go through the shoebox tonight. Yes, sir, bro. Oh, it was beautiful. So where were we before AJ came home?
1:04:54Right. We won't keep you long. You know, we talked, you know, we acknowledged some birthdays, talked about the great sports weeks, you know, World Cup finals. Shout out to the Carolina Hurricanes winning the Stanley Cup final.
1:05:06O'Shea:Right. The states of Carolina are in the kings of hockey. You never hear it. Right. Their coach, Rod Brendamore, had a picture of him holding the cup up without a shirt on. And, man, looked like he could jump in the WWE ring. You know, he's on swole right now. But real quick, SmackDown, man. Let's get to last Friday's SmackDown. A couple big things happened there. SmackDown was so crazy. Take your wig off. See, stop. And what you're talking about is we had that four-way match, fatal four-way for the Queen of the Ring tournament. we had jade cargill lyra valkyria bird bird bird uh so let me do it right let me say it right so ruka and the queen charlotte flair we've you know that's that's a formidable four woman lineup failed four-way and uh charlotte she uh she i think we both predicted that last week she got the dub let's just talk about the thing that everyone's talking about jade cargill had a little hair mishap there.
1:06:07O'Shea:Boy, our sister Jay Cargill got hit with a slam so hard and it peeled her muscle, cat-backed blue. Man. So shout out for her for being able to finish the match. She held on with one hand. At some point, I was just like, rip it off, sis. I mean, it'll be great. My mama said, how come she not doing the thing? Miss Kim, Miss Kim, you can't throw the X up unless something's actually like really hurt. I don't think you could throw the X up because your hair is a little. I ain't coming back in that way, bro. No. Y 'all gonna have to think I'd die. But yeah, you know, she was holding on to the jaw with one hand, trying to go through the match.
1:06:50Like I said, at some point I was just like, just rip it off. Because everyone's having fun with it, right? But here's the deal. You know what I mean? There's been at least two times that Charlotte Flair's extensions have completely been ripped out of her hair. Every match you'll see little tufts of blonde hair. It happens. It happens. It was funny. She got through it. Hopefully you make your little joke and then you move on.
1:07:16O'Shea:And she came back later that night for something to happen. But let me show her again. And she had it back. Yeah, it was back in place because she came out with Meech and B-Fab. But yeah, so Charlotte, she got the dub. She's moving on in that tournament. We also saw Brie Bella and Paige defend the women's tag team titles against Fallon Henley and Langley Reed. Great match, though, dog. We talked about the little guys, you know. Not, you know, when you got your AJ Francis, everyone's going to look at it. In comparison to the rest of the roster. But Ray Phoenix and Axiom, man, they had that triple cruiserweight title.
1:07:55Shout out to those two. I want to give those two a round of applause. that was a fun, fun match to watch. It's good to see Ray Phoenix getting his chance to go out there and do his thing. A lot of times for weeks we're like, where's he at? He's not getting any run. Now he's got a belt. He and Axiom got out there to show and prove a little bit. I really enjoyed that match. You got Gunther telling Nick Aldis that he is making a pick for referee in his match with Cody Rose. It's going to be Sami Zayn. And this is after Sammy and Cody going on. So that's a genius by.
1:08:36So, yeah, we'll see that coming up. Then you had Trick Willie. You had Ricky Saints and you had Carmelo Hayes. And they were getting down and I loved it. And I'm not sure, Shay, if I if I feel like we should revisit and let people know the history of Mello and Trick, because it doesn't seem like that's been touched on. Maybe, you know, we'll get a little clarity, maybe introduce people to that storyline that don't know it in the next few weeks. But yeah, those three are doing their thing. That was fun. Probably going to get a triple threat match at some point for the U.S. title if it hasn't been announced already.
1:09:18I don't know everything. I can't, don't claim to. But that is something, I think that will be a fun match, man. And then you had the men's Fatal Four-Way for the King of the Ring, where Jey Uso, L.A. Knight, Finn Balor, and Royce Keys.
1:09:33O'Shea:And I really believed in our Finn Balor pick, bro. Yeah, I thought, because like I said, I was like, they're not going to have all Raw guys win this, right? And they're like, you shut your black asses up. But there you have it. Solo popped out of nowhere. kind of, you know, interrupted, messed up LA with the thumb, and Jay gets the dub. I don't know if I'm surprised by that or not. Now, do you count that as a bloodline interference? I can see where LA Knight does. I know, but like, come on, bro. I can see, look, you ain't in that position. You would think the same thing. like bro man like it don't count it don't count he did nobody came out to help jay that affected the match jimmy got uh damn near beat the hell up how can you say the match wasn't affected though when but he was not there to help jay solo wasn't there to help jay like jimmy came out in rebuttal and then jimmy ended up getting uh i think tossed over a wall or something later but Jimmy never affected the match specifically to help Jay win the fact of the matter is brother one of their people, that's their little brother, came out and affected the match so you have to understand they don't even like each other that don't matter, you have to at least acknowledge that LA Knight is feeling a certain type of way because you didn't do it but your little brother came in here and did it like, you know what I'm saying wait, just side note I got a funny solo story that I don't know if I shared on here.
1:11:21O'Shea:Alright. So, remember we was in Vegas and I had went out and I saw Pauly D and all them. I was done that night. It was a rough one. The old man in me came out that night. It was a rough one. But, Solo had snuck up on me on stage. I feel somebody like, I feel somebody poking me in the ribs like that. And I'm like, you know, I turn and I look and it's this fool in a fitted hat and a white tee. And he goes, hey, you booed me. And I was like, what you talking about, man? He said, January 6th, the first Netflix on Raw, it was me versus Roman and I saw your ass and you booed me. And I said, you're going against Roman.
1:12:10O'Shea:He said, all right. that said will you flick me off he was like when I said Saturday night's main event Goldberg's last match in Atlanta I see you from the crowd and I'm giving you props and you looked at me and flicked me off he goes I was flicking off the man behind you then you're a liar dog but he don't even like his brothers he don't even like his cousins he dipping on the other side of the family tree right now God, getting his family from Japan that's not really from Japan, all of that look, regardless the Simone Spike took out LA Knight and now we got Jey Uso moving on to the court the court finals also you know I'm not good with that stuff so that was it that was Smackdown really quick shout out to jay cargo though for holding it down lyra valcaria literally literally lyra valcaria sold the hell out of the figure eight if you go back and watch she made it look like she was in the most pain that she's ever been in her life so and also doc when when jay first started holding it down it was like five uh almost falls like it was like it was sometimes when you thought it was almost over and it was like no we still got more matches and I'm like will y 'all hurry the hell up for James?
1:13:43I think people at first thought she was selling like a shot to the head. Yeah. And then it set her up perfectly though for the soul snatcher. Like her bending over like that, that was just how the soul hit that perfectly. But yeah the queen Charlotte she comes out on top. She will move on. She will take on Liv Morgan. And going to Raw real quick you know we had EO! EO! The fact, and I don't want to get in this too much, the fact that there is an EO Sky fan page that was coming at you on Twitter trying to question, not only your, I mean, my love for EO has been documented for years, but your love for EO, that was just, people on Twitter are weird sometimes.
1:14:24O'Shea:And first of all, you were talking about that EO Shirai video I posted? Oh my, oh my, oh my, I remember. I don't like you, is what EO would say. I don't like you. So, yeah, so Io took on one half of the hard R's. Raquel, you know, this was a tough match for me to watch because of my love for both of these wrestlers. Yeah, man. Call the trigger. I'm so tired of teasing when these Judgment Day women are going to just have it already. I thought Raquel was finally going to be that awkward moment of like, so Liv you gonna you gonna let Raquel get this right oh uh I wanted that we thought that's where we were going we thought that's where we were headed because while you know you got Liv in the tournament so you're thinking alright this is gonna lead up to this and it didn't I'll never be mad about Io Sky winning a match but it's just like alright we'll see where this goes now we got Io she advances what else do we have Chad Gable and Rusev put on a nice little match I saw Gable go over with the ankle lock ankle lock really happy to see what they're doing with Gable right now yeah but like I said last week we've known Chad Gable was him for years now right we've known that and we're still with like alright cool like yeah we already knew this so now what are you going to do with him like You're going to give him some gold?
1:16:01What are you going to do? Because we already knew Chad Gable was a wrestling machine. It didn't take him to put on a mask for us to know that. You know what I'm saying? By the way, you know that they're auctioning off the El Grande Americano mask. And I'm surprised about that. I'm a little too. But based upon what you told me about the WWE warehouse, that thing might just end up sitting on the shelf somewhere with a piece of scotch tape or a masking tape underneath it that says El Grande Americano mask.
1:16:26O'Shea:It's going to be one of those things that's like, you know, 10, 20 years down the road, they're going to be like, oh, man. Wish we had that. Yeah, they're going to find some. When they finally make the wrestling museum, just want to put that out there. Or they're going to have to send AJ Francis back out in the road to go to somebody and try to get him to, you know, here's a couple bucks, let's get the mask back. You know, and the mask is generating, I think I saw some winners up to$24 ,000, and that's going towards charity. But if I'm WWE, I'm keeping my mask and I'm just donating to charity.
1:17:02O'Shea:That's a piece of my history right there. Yeah. You know, we've got a piece of wrestling history in this Rich Eisen show studio. We got the neck brace that Tony Khan had to wear after the Young Bucks hit him with the Meltzer driver a few years ago, if you remember that. And Tony Khan brought his neck brace and it's sitting over here. I'm looking at it right now. So we got a little bit of that, some wrestling history in here. and then Roxanne and Charlotte got in a little something on Twitter and Charlotte was basically like, okay, I'll see you Monday. She shows up and her and Roxanne went at it and I thought it was they put on a nice little match.
1:17:39Charlotte won by submission. People are trying to write off Roxanne because she seems to be taking a lot of losses. Look, guys Roxanne's going to be fine. She's the prodigy. She's the prodigy. She is going to be fine. She's going to be a champion one day. yeah she's taking some L's but there's no way shape or form she's getting buried no she's gonna be fine and now you got the same look you got a look on your face right now like you had when the Luka trade happened so I'm wondering
1:18:09O'Shea:because like I'm thinking like what to do with Roxanne and like I cannot believe people would think and it's because they probably didn't watch NXT but like Like, bro, it's the prodigy. She is going to be running this place. She got skyrocketed from NXT into the Judgment Day. Like, she barely had a hiccup by herself, you know? I'm not worried about her. No, it's the prodigy, bro. She's everything. And then really do you see this? Javon Evans comes out. Here comes Logan Paul and Austin Theory. And basically, they're not asking Javon Evans to be in the vision. They're not putting out, let's see a feeler.
1:18:59No, no, no. They're like, no, you're rolling with us now.
1:19:01O'Shea:I don't think I've ever. Here's your jacket. Here's your company mug. Your partner's artist number six. No, you don't understand. You're joining the vision. Javon's like, hell with that. Yeah. So, you know, that brings out a match. Talking to me like I'm something. Never mind. Right? I'm not Willie Lump Lump over here. You ain't just telling me. No, you're with us now. Yeah. We together. And can I be honest with you? For a split second, I went, hmm, how would that look? Of course. Of course. Of course. Of course. But at this point, with all the injuries, I don't think anybody, you know, you might want to stay away from the visual.
1:19:37Yeah, bro, y 'all. You're going to get hurt.
1:19:39O'Shea:Y 'all need some Robitussin over there. Pour some Tussin on it. Pour some of that Tussin. So that brings out a match between Javon and Austin Theory, which, you know, gets Bron Breaker. That spear he had, I mean, on Javon was just like, thank goodness Tez came out for the save. But like, yeah. And now you're in a position where, number one, number one, shout out to Dawkins making his return, but it just makes it weirder that the Seth Rollins thing was happening with Montez. Yeah, like. Now it's the Javon thing now, instead of it being Seth, which makes no sense because Seth is still there. And then, yeah, so now I guess that's the new thing is Javon and them.
1:20:29O'Shea:So they're going to be watching Javon's back. But so now that Javon, Jey Uso, one's worried about LA Knight, one's worried about the vision, it's a lot happening. It's a lot happening, dude. Yeah, so, you know, but I'm interested to see where this is going to go. I mean, look, Tez and Seth posted that banger photo on Twitter. It was like the belly movie poster. How do you want it? How do you need it? You know, so we'll see where that goes. And then we have Oba against Dom to see who goes to the finals. And we love Dom. Yeah. Ben said, he knows where the spare key is. But yeah, that was quick work for Darula Obafemi.
1:21:16And he moves on to the finals where he is going to take on the winner of Javon Evans and Jey Uso. Interesting, interesting matchup. You're going to have to probably think that Jey's going to come out on top there, right? You would think so. And that leads to a whole lot of possibilities, O'Shea. Jackson Jr., my friend, does that mean that Brock Lesnar comes out and interfields and stops Oba? Does that mean the bloodline comes out? If Jay is successful in beating Javon, maybe that's a path to get us to Oba and Roman. You know, if the bloodline comes out and tries to, you know, like I said, the possibilities, there's just some possibilities there for some good stuff.
1:21:55I'm interested to see where this goes.
1:21:58O'Shea:Yeah, it's, you know, I would definitely think LA Knight is going to see how close Jay Uso is. Yeah, he's going to interfere. year. I would think that would happen before Jay's able to get to the finals. Maybe so. And then once the finals happens, I fully feel like Brock Lesnar is going to come out and stop all that. But I've been wrong every damn round. So, like, I don't know what's going on, guys. I'm just a fan. I'm just a fan. We're just like y 'all. We are y 'all, except we're here and you're there. That's it. So, yeah, we got Oba waiting on the winner of Javon and Jay. And then we got Liv against Charlotte's about to go on.
1:22:44We've got Io waiting for the winner of that match. Liv or Charlotte to go against Io for the Queen of the Ring. And of course, the winners, the King and the Queen, will get title shots. So, yeah. Let's see how this goes.
1:23:00O'Shea:I gotta tell you the details off camera. but just because there's a bunch of people who are hammering for us I have an update on something can you share it now? yeah so I got a direct link to a certain superstar
1:23:28I didn't hear anything you got a direct link? yes
1:23:36O'Shea:I got some update on that. Okay. I've been given a date. It cannot be our 100th. But I've been given a date. I told you that for weeks. Look, 100 would be great. But if it's 98, it still won't be great. Hey, I've been given a date. So what are you saying, man? I'm just saying. And it is now gone into the 85 % range. That's pretty bad. That's pretty big. I mean, you still. That's pretty big. You're not really telling me much. There's nothing confirmed because I got to tell you off. I'll tell you off. Okay. Well, this whole thing could have waited off the camera. Now they're going to be excited.
1:24:22No, no, no, no.
1:24:23O'Shea:Yeah, exactly. They should be. You should watch every episode of No Contest because I've been given a date. All right. You know, we've been, we've been, you know, captivating this caper, like they say, for a while. So, so yeah. Thank you, WME. Am I still, am I still a client? Because I haven't gotten a Christmas card. I haven't gotten a Christmas card in a while. So just, just keep showing up. Let's keep showing up to the event. By the way, my book, That's What She Said by TJ Jefferson, where I know that made me a client of WME. It's available out there. That's what she said. I'm trying to sell some books.
1:24:59Why wouldn't I? quickly though some cool things I was watching AEW Collision speaking of a match that people need to see Kevin Knight Myron Reed for the TNT Championship that match was fire make sure do yourself a favor even if this is over go to YouTube you're probably watching it on YouTube great match great great match loved it congrats to the bravo Will Ospreay he and Alex Winsor they tied the knot they are officially married And tonight, you know, we have Dynamite and you've got Mark Briscoe and MJF.
