Key claims

  • Sami Zayn successfully defended his title and is still wearing CM Punk’s side plates on the belt; they expect the plates to change soon.
  • Roxanne Perez wins her triple-threat qualifier and is headed to Money in the Bank.
  • Two more women’s Money in the Bank spots are coming; possible surprise entrants are debated (Rhea Ripley, Jade Cargill, etc.).
  • Men’s qualifiers: Rey Mysterio, Ethan Page, Austin Theory, Big Cass, Randy Orton, Rey Phoenix, Dom, and Dragon Lee are defeated; the next qualifier is CM Punk vs Gunther vs Finn Balor.
  • Solo’s kidnapping is real kayfabe “crime,” and the hosts speculate L.A. Knight could be the faction leader.

Notable examples

  • Women’s triple threat: EO vs Roxanne vs La Catalina; La Catalina’s standout “introduction” spot; Roxanne’s win.
  • L.A. Knight promo after Solo is kidnapped; speculation about collusion with Royce Keys/OTM.

1:05Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to another Wednesday episode of the No Contest Wrestling Podcast. I am the heel that you love to hate, O'Shea Jackson Jr., K.A. Petty Guerrero. Hey, yo, it's me, it's me. It's the T-double-O, the J-I-double-G, two-jigger, T.J. Jefferson. and it's Wednesday. You know what that means. Yeah, man. Also, a very special Wednesday because today is my mama's birthday. So happy birthday, Mom. Happy birthday, Miss Kim. Good to see you, as always. Happy 25th. Hope you have a great birthday. Yeah, man. She can legally rent a car now. Look at life. You know what I'm saying? That makes a lot of the family vacations very illegal.

1:49But so we have some title defenses. We got some money in the bank. Qualifiers qualified. And kidnapping, which is always great. In broad daylight. In broad daylight. And also not to mention, we have TJ's Roses. Roses. TJ's Roses. Yes, we heard you guys. We saw the request, and it turns out that people think it's a good idea. Yeah, so we'll do that. Good idea. So we're going to have the almanac educate us and put, you know, how many you got? You got five? I got one wrestler. I'm going to suggest a few of his matches for people to watch. Okay, I like that. I like that. Like I said, we're building this community where I feel like, you know, that's what we've been doing since day one.

2:40We've been, you know, suggesting matches, suggesting wrestlers, and I love it, man. Let's just keep this thing rolling. Right. Okay. So, I mean, Sami Zayn, I feel like we got to start off with the fact that he defended his title, dude. I was worried. Yo, bro. I told my sister, I was like, WWE has a chance to do the funniest thing in the world. It wouldn't have been that funny, yo. It would have been the funniest thing in the world. Because like, oh, you thought nine was bad? Here he go with just seven days. Like I said last week, Tony Braxton, seven whole days. Not a word from you. By the way, shout out to Tony Braxton.

3:12And I'm just about through. I used to love me some Toni Braxton back in the day. Yeah, man. She had a list of bits. I got a hold on, DJ. Yes, she did. Young me. It was that haircut. But so Sammy has made some promises. It was like, all right, Johnny Gargano, man. Like, I helped you win it, bro. Like, let's be real. I helped you win it. And Sammy's like, what? Yeah, like, oh, you know, my back. And, like, you know, he's got to make it official. but then that damn Kevin Owens and there's two things that are for certain in wrestling and you know death taxes and Sammy versus Kevin Owens they are soulmates they are for our anime listeners they are Goku and Vegeta I would say but neither one is really Goku Goku's the man I don't know if you know this how would I describe Anyway, for the anime fans, list the anime rivals that you think Sammy and Kevin Owens are, and I will grade these.

4:20What about for the non-anime fans? This is, bro, this is the Hatfields and McCoys. There you go. The Bloods and the Crips? Well, they have a truce for a little bit. I swear they're best friends, but then they have to go at it all the time. You know what I mean? They'll fight, and then we'll get together. We'll have a WrestleMania main event. Madara and Hashirama. Sorry, say it again because I talked to him. Madara and Hashirama. I have no idea who either. Yeah, bro. That's them. That's them. They are Naruto and Sasuke. I'll take your word for it, you know, because I don't know. I got you, bro.

4:53Like I said, Hatfields and McCoys was as close. That's right. Or the Celtics and the Lakers. Hold on now. That's a lot of championships. That's a lot of championships. It's the most. So I guess. Yeah, right. They are. Pistons and the Lakers. I mean, Pistons Bulls had a nice little thing. Either way, they will always be going at it. Then they will always make up. They're Sasha and Bayley. Essentially, okay. Yeah, but so they go at it. Obviously, chaos is going to ensue because that's just how these things tend to work out. When they give us championship defenses on the weekly shows, there's going to be shenanigans.

5:37and you got Gargano thrown in there and Gargano got, you know, wifey Candice in there. Candice Michelle. Candice Michelle. What was it before, LeRae? Well, I'm saying it. Cole said it again, and I'm like, is he doing this on purpose? But I think he legitimately just accidentally keeps calling her Michelle. Candice Michelle. Why do you have Candice Michelle on your mind? Well, I can explain to you. Good times, man. I was a young man. Young man. young man. But yeah, dude, we see that Sammy gets hit through shenanigans, but Charles Montgomery has something to say about it. By the way, Charles Montgomery is swole right now.

6:20My man is swole. He had the crib, bro. Hitting them jail workouts. It was like this movie, I remember, this character named Doughboy said, there ain't nothing to do in the pen but lift weights and eat. I don't know if you guys remember. Did you ever see that movie? I seen that movie one time no shut up yeah one time just cause my late grandmother Doris was like you never seen Boys in the Hood and she put it on like Del Tuvo's losing it back here you only saw you know it's good I prefer more Ice Cube in it shout out to Cuba Gooden Jr my favorite part is turn your punk ass over I was like oh my god dad what's wrong with you are you the good guy

7:09but yeah he's getting swole yeah he's getting swole um he obviously is still in the title picture and it's something i pointed out to you through text sammy zane still has sam punk's side plates on the title you're not holding that for a long time Well, he's held it longer than you thought. We thought seven days. Seven days. So we'll see. I bet you on Friday the plates will change. Bro, they better be because it's starting to feel like when Baron Corbin had Trix first still on the belt. You like how I know where you're going? Thank you because you pay attention, man. It's been a rough day. You look tired.

7:54Bro, I am so tired. I'm tired like the Michelin man. Okay. But I will prevail. But it feels like when we saw that Corbin still had Trix fur around the belt, like it doesn't fit. Like, Sammy, that's not your belt. It's not your belt. It's not your title. And CM Punk, let him know, let him and Kevin Owens know that he's not about to be running away from the title picture for that for a minute. Both of them get GTS. GTS? Go to sleep. Go to sleep. GTS. They both get go to sleep. anyway they got their ass beat there was clock and z's as well yeah clock and z's and yeah so I mean that's how that went down what else we had we had oh that triple threat I know you like that triple threat listen I had to put on Twitter I was like EO versus Roxanne Roxanne versus La Catalina leave me alone alright let me just watch this match in peace don't text me don't call me don't tweet me let me be yeah let me be and watch this and let me tell you something these three women did not disappoint no on the night let me just tell you no i just want them to love me like i love them well that's impossible i realized that none of them will love me the way i love them and i just have to come to that conclusion and i have to just accept the fact by the way you almost got us killed how so with the blurred japanese

9:25I was watching it back and I was like what is the matter with us I didn't watch it back but I saw like three comments on YouTube somebody was like that boy TJ knows the Japanese movie he knows what's good you know ball but yeah the match so what a great match I'm giving that all the stars first of all you got Every bit he has. EO, Roxanne, and La Catalina, who's a star in the making. Another Chilean-born superstar. Like her and Stephanie. What's in the water, Doc? Oh, my God. But, yeah, top takeaways for me here. Huge spot for La Catalina, right? This is like kind of her introduction to a lot of American-based wrestling fans who weren't familiar with her game.

10:12And then you saw her and you got familiar with her game. And that was her Raw debut against two of the best workers in the world. like you know I think it's safe to say man there's big plans for her to put her in that spot with those two and make her look as good as she did yeah so it's and there were many like four times during the match I was like she's going over yeah yeah so and you know it makes me wonder just because we know how it went on I'm gonna let you finish the breakdown go ahead no no go ahead yeah but like Io is in a different spot than I'm used to seeing her in. You know, she's not exactly being showcased on TV, but she is working her ass off.

11:00That's what she does. That's what she does, right? And I think WWE is starting to see this new bunch of athletically gifted talent, and it's like, put Io in there. You know, just throw Io in there. Watch what they do when they put Io in there. Watch her work. And it is putting out some banger matches. Some banger matches. Oh! Speaking of banger matches. What you got? I just want to just show some love to Dominic Mysterio. Okay. You jumped way ahead. I know, because I didn't mention it during the rundown. But, like, bro, what Dom was doing, Dom looked like he was that guy that was put on that best under 30 list and wanted to remind people the higher ups.

11:57Yes. Don't be trying to fugaze me, bro. Don't be trying to hit me with the okie-doke. Don't hit me with the okie-doke. Gotta let the pistol smoke. All right? And, yeah, here's that reversal 619. We'll get to that. We'll get to that. But man, I just want to give my flowers to Dom. But yeah, these ladies put on a banger. Roxanne comes out with the victory. She is headed to money in the bank. There she is. Get out there! I've said this. If I've said this once, I've said it 20 times. We are not worried about Roxanne. I didn't like the fact that she was eating so many pins. But the fact of the matter is fans got to look at it like this.

12:39Every single week. Roxanne Perez is on your television, right? So that in itself says that you're never really buried. You're never really out the game when you're on, when every single week. Now she was taking L's, did not love that. But again, I kept saying, we're not worried about her. She's too good. She's the prodigy. And, you know, I was a little surprised. I thought that they might put Io over in this match, but it was a nice surprise to see Roxy get that win. You know, she's also got a big title match coming up down in AAAs. Triple R. Triple R. My bad. So, yeah, it's about time. It's about time that the things that we kind of predicted months ago, Shay, remember who we thought should get the money in the bank?

13:18Yeah. Well, no. What did we say? Roxanne was like one of the first ones. We might be right. We might be right. Right now it is Sol Ruka, Lola Vice, JC, Jane, and Roxanne Perez. So that's four. We need two more spots. I know there's a match Friday, right? There's a match Friday, I'm sure. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I admit. You know, with football really kicking in now, all the free time I had to watch just a stupid amount of wrestling has kind of shrunk down a little bit because it's football season and got it like straight on top of that. Yeah, bro, you got to do two shows. I got two jobs. You got two jobs, bro.

13:59You know what I'm saying? But, yeah, I mean, first of all, I was surprised that J.C. Jane got into it Just because I feel like title holders being in Money in the Bank is usually a sign to me of like, you're not going to win. So it's just like weird to give those spots away. But they are trying to showcase J.C. Jane. Lola Vice is in it, defeating Raquel, by the way. So, you know, Judgment Day do have somebody in with Roxanne. And Sol Ruka, who, you know, we all love Sol Ruka. Universe. Universe. Soul Ruka the soul sister by the way you see her new hairdo by the way you couldn't tell me that wasn't Kalani Jordan for a second and now it's like oh no that is but right now from these four there's no clear cut there's no clear cut favorite we'll see who these other two are I was you know anybody who has been watching knows I've been harboring for Julia to get into a match like this just because I've seen what Money in the Bank did for a Zoe Stark, for a Lyra, and I feel like Julia needs that where she can showcase what she can do because they seem to be just confused about her direction.

15:18I mean, there's a few ladies that we have championed on this show and have tried to push that could use that spot, but we shall see where these next two go. But Roxanne is in that mug. Roxanne is in that mug. And what would that mean for the judgment day if she's walking around with that briefcase? How would Liv feel? There would be a little bit, a lot of bit of tension between her and Liv, you know.

15:45Yeah. Yeah. I was thinking maybe Liv wouldn't, but no, yeah. There would definitely. Come on now. Liv calls herself the greatest women's world champion of all time. I don't think that would sit well with her. Yeah, like is Liv happy that she in the match? Would Liv would live maybe cost Roxanne. Raquel's good, right? Raquel, she's got the IC title, so I think she's good. But yeah, man, when you're used to being number one on the call sheet like Liv is, what happens when your understudy comes up and serps you? That is not good. It's not a good look. The usurper, Roxanne. Oh, the usurper. By the way, do you watch House of Dragons?

16:32I don't, man. Damn! And I've heard that I should. It's fire, dog. Game of Thrones, and here's just one of our normal aside. Hey, you seen wrestling. It's not a lot to talk about right now, okay? I got into Game of Thrones when it first came on, right? But then it became so hard because there was all these houses and weird names. So I stopped for a few years. and then, man, on the Rich Eisen show, we had Cersei herself. Lena Headey came in and her and I hung out in the green room because before I got put on air, I used to do social media for the show. I did behind the scenes stuff. Yeah, that's how you and I met.

17:11I did interviews in the green room and I'm going to tell you this. There is absolutely no shame in me saying this. After I got done interviewing her, You know that emoji with the hard eyes? Yeah, that was me. And then she came out and did the interview, and I was taking pictures. And Chris Brockman always says that. She goes, bro, she was just like staring right at you. I was like, well, yeah, that's because me and her were just in the back. But I felt it. And then what did I do that night? I started Game of Thrones again from the beginning. That's a hell of a first episode. I had to go back because after we met, I was just like, oh.

17:50So here's one thing. if you get in trouble with Game of Thrones, and I'm sure House of the Dragons is the same, put on closed captions. A hundred percent. That made all the difference in the world because there's too many houses, too many weird names. You start to like, now you see them and now you're able to process them and it just helps you get through the series. Just a little TJ tip right there to help you. But Game House of the Dragons. Yeah, House of Dragons because Usurper comes up a lot. So I thought we was doing a little reference there. But for anybody who watches House of the Dragon, black people call it House of Dragons.

18:28House of Dragons, yep. And it's called House of the Dragon. So, yeah, House of Dragons. Yeah, we make things up. You know, my parents, I'm sorry, mom and dad. My parents, for whatever reason, called taquitos, tuskeetos. And I'm like, what the hell are those, bro? They're like a different version of a mosquito. to Skeetos. It bothers the hell out of me. But I love them, so I never correct them, not one time. And you never should. Never should. Anyway, that was a quick little ramble for y 'all. We'll be right back. Back into the wrestling now. Yeah, so we're going to see. There's two more spots in this women's money in the bank.

19:07I mean, I'm guessing probably Jade Cargill might be in it. There's a chance. Do we get a return? There could be a surprise return. We don't know what's up with Rhea. Could it be a surprise out of the blue Rhea Ripley comeback? Have you been paying attention to her social media? Do we know any updates? I saw a picture of her in the gym. Now, I don't know if this was old or not, but she looked like she's getting Mike Yoke again, getting a little bit diesel. A little diesel. Yeah, because she got buffed Bagwell, and then she lost some weight, and then it looks like she might be putting the muscle back.

19:39So I'm not sure. But, yeah, we haven't heard anything about her. So you have to imagine maybe there's going to be a surprise maybe entrant. That's usually how these things work. But it can be Jade because J.C. Jane beat Jade and Alexa Bliss. Right, right, right. So that eliminates her. I mean, has Charlotte had a man? But they wouldn't have Charlotte and Alexa going against each other in Money in the Bank. Maybe. We don't know. Yeah, that's the thing, man. We don't know, dog. Which I love. I love not knowing. Yeah, let me check out this men's side. I love not knowing because you remember there was a point, and this was a few years ago, especially when dirt chains were really running rampant, where you could find somebody was leaking the results of every single match.

20:19And then it became the point where you look for dirt sheets back in the day. Just on Twitter. It would just pop up. Yeah, just straight up Twitter. Twitter, yeah. It would be in your algorithm. And then next thing you know, you got the whole vengeance day rundown with all the winners and losers. It was like, come on, man. After a while, you don't want that. So were you looking at the men's? Yeah, just checking to see who was defeated in the men's as well. So in the men's, Rey Mysterio is defeated. Ethan Page, Austin Theory, Big Cass, Randy Orton, Rey Phoenix, and now Dom and Dragon Lee have all been defeated.

20:52So none of them are going to be in it. We don't know that, though. The next qualifier is CM Punk versus Gunther versus Finn Balor. Okay. Now you got three guys who definitely should be in there. Holy shit. I have to say, though, right? That's a match, bro. based upon what you've done with him right based upon the foes that he's conquered you just can't let gunther go and be a normal cat he's already past being like a normal cat right yeah you've got to keep i hate saying this because i know this saying just followed roman around forever unfortunately but you got to keep gunther looking strong you can't just let him fade away into the distance, right?

21:39Not with the names that he put to bed, putting heads to bed, straight out the box, MCs. Yeah, maybe we're doing too much rap here. You just can't let him put down Cena, Goldberg, Styles, Rollins at WrestleMania and then just let him be a normal dude. You just can't do it. So he's got to stay high. But what about Finn Ballard? Finn ain't had nothing positive about him. Maybe one thing. Well, he former tag team champion. That was great. Yeah, I know, but like you know, singles fan has taken L after L after L after L after L after L. He needs something, man. He does. He's just one of those guys that like he just got he got the short end of the stick.

22:28A raw deal, man. A raw deal getting hurt. So many names started to pop off when he came back from that injury. and he's never been back in the title picture. That's unfortunate as hell. Maybe this is some way that you can rejuvenate that Finn Balor to have him have that money in the bank, the pop that would happen when his music hit after a big match if he was money in the bank. That is just unfortunate, man. But you're going up against Punk Gunther. whoo like who went that in triple threats that third guy is always the dark horse of the match that's a good spot to be in you got gunther and cm punk punk is in the title picture no matter what we established that yeah he established that but yeah it's just like do you make gunther look strong or do you bring finn back into the picture and then like this is just to qualify you're going up against Penta, Trick, Javon, and Braun Breaker.

23:31That means money in the bank, bro. I do not envy booking that. I think everyone's looking at Breaker being the one. Yeah, but like... That would mean that the Vision won the money in the bank back-to-back years. Two different versions of the Vision. It's still that same faction getting it. Well, they run Monday Night Raw, right? Everybody says that, damn it. At some point, them and the Judgment Day got to be walking down the same hallway and looking at each other. The bloodline run raw. Judgment Day run raw. Vision run raw. Everyone can't run raw. Yeah, that's how you get in trouble. Stop it. That's how you get in trouble.

24:15Stop it. Wear your hat. Everyone can't run raw. Hashtag running raw. By the way, don't ever go on Twitter and tweet about Monday Night Raw and just put hashtag Raw. Just take my word for it. Put Raw on Netflix. Algorithm messed up for at least a week. Put WWE Raw, but do not just hashtag Raw. No. Trust me. Trust me. Trust me. And that's from your pal, Big Jun. I don't want your algorithms messed up. Yeah, man. So speaking of Liv, we talked about her earlier. She was going off in the ring about how Becky kind of screwed her out of the championship, which Becky kind of did. But then out comes Stephanie in the greatest bodysuit I think maybe ever made on the planet Earth.

25:08And she basically said, look, it's going to be the three of us. So we're getting that triple threat, Liv, Becky, and Stephanie for the Women's World Championship. Hey, sign me up. I'm here for that. It seems like they're setting up a lot of triple threats. A lot of triple threats seem to be in the works. Liv kind of has a point that Becky screwed her, but Liv, you hit her. She did. You can't slap the man in the mug like that. You hit her. No, no, no. You hit her. Yeah. It wasn't a slap. It was a punch. No, slap across the face, and you shoving her. This is Becky Lynch. Come on, dog. Yeah, that ain't going to fly with Becky Lynch, dog.

25:48So what happened happened. Yeah. You can't smack me in the mouth and expect me to hit you with a clean one, two, three. Right. Oh, let me follow the rules. I love that her and Seth were kind of put in kind of the same spots as refs. Like, honestly, they both were doing great jobs as referees. You know, going by the book. And until you put your hands on me. Can't do it. Now, if you put your hands on any other ref, that's a DQ. All right. Now, if it ended like that, all of Santiago, Chile would have rioted. Whoa. And now what are we in? Danger. Danger. Rob is in danger. What else went down? No, no, no.

26:24We'll let Lola Vice. You know, we got her signing to Raw. Her and her and Roxanne look like they're going to be going at it. I understand a lot of what they were saying. Didn't need to, though. Yeah, you got what I mean? Yeah, yeah. I was about to do the noise again, but I'll say that. But, yeah, so we got Lola. She's going to be in that match. And then we're going to see her and Roxanne kind of look like they're going to start a little program together. and I'm with that because they had a little something going back in NXT together. For those that watch. You got to pay attention to NXT. It's amazing that people don't.

26:57It's crazy to me that WWE hell will be acting like it don't exist at the same time. Your NXT championships don't count towards your championship total. What else? They don't bring up history from NXT. and it might help it might help viewership I think it would definitely help viewership if not help viewership it would help fans kind of have a better understanding because I've said this before and I guess I get it it's like if you watch NFL most people that watch NFL also watch college football so they have a general understanding of who these next stars are but for some reason it seems like a lot of WWE fans don't watch NXT, which is kind of wild because NXT is technically I would say a step ahead of college, obviously.

27:51Yeah, right. But still, isn't that what we all want? We all want to know about something before the next person knows. You always want to know about the new band or the new musician, the new artist coming up before everyone else. You always want to know about everything before it becomes popular. That's why I watched NXT. That's what drew me in, was seeing all these people before they hit the main roster to be like, oh, I was a fan of so-and-so before they got big, you know? And so that's how you feel about it. It's just a certain feeling when we see Oba, Javon, and Trick and how far they've come, especially Trick, you know?

28:30Trick was like an afterthought almost. Like I said, like it was always all about Mello and Trick was the heater. He was the, you know, the bodyguard. Oh, it was also justice for Mello. I just feel like we got to say that every show from now on. Yeah, I don't know. I mean, they sent Waller back down, and he's had success. Do you do that? They lost Ilya. We didn't even really go in on him about that. I don't understand. I don't understand. I just don't get it. What don't you see? What did you not see in that guy? They're like, you can't find no place to fit. Can you imagine him and this money in the bank?

29:08Yeah. It might be dangerous for everybody else. Yeah, I don't know, man. Obviously, John Cena taught us about data. Yeah, data. I'm sure there's data saying that this person and, you know, viewership goes up or down. But, like, as a fan, as someone who's watched wrestling for as long as we have, we know what we see when we see it. Yeah. And Ilya Dragunov was, like, he was him. He was him. I can't be of a bad match. Yeah, him and Mello put on banger matches. him and Trick down in NXT put on banger matches. So yeah, it's a little bit sad to see Iliad gone, to see Melo not really have a direction when he's so talented and, you know, just has almost everything you need to become a superstar.

29:54And yet, no say, you know, but that also shows you, man, there's, that's why I kind of, and I've said this to you before about when people always claim or talk about like the mid card, there's only so many folks who can be in the main event picture. Everyone else is pretty much in the mid-card, and that's a nice place to be, right? You get on TV every week, get a comfortable paycheck, I would assume, but you're always there. You're always in the mix. Now, if you're not in the mid-card, that means you're sitting there and catering, and nobody wants that. So I think we have to put a little bit more respect on mid-card as a whole.

30:32As a phrase and what exactly it means. You're the meat and potatoes. You are the body of the show. And when that starts to fizzle out, then there was a large gap for me in my obsessive viewership of WWE because I just felt like, besides the main event, guys, it wasn't giving me what I need. And as a kid, bro, some of the mid-card that we had in the early 2000s, disgusting. Just some real bangers and legends that went on to become main eventers. If you watch WCW, every show almost on Nitro Thunder was let off, kicked off with a cruiserweights match. And I've heard Jericho say this. They were just tell these guys they had no direction for them.

31:25Just go out there and do something. And then every week, those cruiserweights from Mysterio to Guerrero to, you know, Psychosis to Jericho to all of those guys went out and just put on incredible matches. And that was the mid card. Yeah. Those were some of the best guys out in the world when it came to wrestling. Somebody who I always, like, had a bit of interest in, but I don't really know too much about him. I just always heard, like, he got into his own way was Hoover II. Hoover II. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Hoover II Guerrero was dope, man. Yeah. And that's another dude I just remember from those times, you know.

32:05But I digress. Justice for Melo. That part. What was we talking about, man? We'd be rambling. Yeah, just, you know, more guys in the men's money in the bank match and who else we could see. Yeah, because they just announced that for Friday. Monday Night Raw, I guess, has to put in one more guy. Yeah. That's heavy, man. But I think Penta's iron is hot as hell right now. And we brought it up last week, suggested that there's got to be some way to get him in there. How about that? And then guess what happens? Yep. But the reason it happened is because Solo got kidnapped, folks. Okay. We're talking real crime here.

32:49Right? Real criminal activity happening. Yeah, what's up, man? Solo getting kidnapped. 9-4-6, right? They are not here to play. Do they run raw? They're going to end up running raw, apparently. Because we see a little backstage, you know, Solo's getting ready, taping up his thumb. Here comes Los Angeles Knight. He's getting ready, taping up his thumb. And, you know, L.A. Knight's always trying to get Solo to be like, look, let all that stuff go. Let's do what we got to do to get to where we need to be. And then we can worry about these jokers. but he wants solo to keep his eye on the prize. And he's like, don't you, don't you cash in on me when I win this, you know?

33:32And then LA Knight goes out to the ring and he cuts a very good promo. He cut a great promo, right? To the point where he was saying that even though all the fans cheer for him, you don't really believe I can beat Roman rings. Right. And that was kind of like, Oh, and then, you know, and then, you know, he said Roman came out and he had help all the time. And then it flipped. and now he's coming out and he's beating people without help. I don't even know if I could beat Roman Reigns. But he essentially says he's going to do it, right? He's going to do it. But I've got a little creative liberty here.

34:11Oh, no. I hate these. Oh, Shea Jackson Jr. What now? We know Royce Keys' crew, 946, correct? Yeah. Very Oakland area. Oakland area code. Let me say that again. It's comprised of Royce Keys. The town, if you will. Bronco and NEMA. Yeah.

36:39I've got a weird, wild, wacky idea. Don't you do this. I'm going to say it. Because they kidnapped Solo, right? Hmm. That's interesting. You kidnapped him. You might think, uh, Solo's probably not in this crew. That's what you would think. But uh-uh. No, how about this? Look me in the eyes, folks, when I tell you this. Look at him. Look at him in his eyes. Let me get this one, Dawn, if I could. What if the leader of this new faction is Los Angeles Knight? what if LA Knight Royce Keys and OTM are in collusion because the things LA Knight was saying in that promo was I don't know something felt a little to me and I'm thinking what would be the wildest thing that could happen solo getting kidnapped yeah but people would think oh maybe this is a setup and Solo's really a part of this crew.

37:45But what if L.A. Knight was the Geppetto of all this? What if L.A. Knight and Royce Keys and Bronco and Lucien, what if they were working together? Because L.A. Knight feels like he deserves this world title, right, Shane? And he feels like opportunities have been taken from him by the bloodline and by Roman Reigns and by multiple people time after time again. What if L.A. Knight is like, man, F all this. I need someone to watch my back what if LA Knight is running this thing and what if when this match happens they come to the ring and they help LA Knight win this world title and he beats Roman Reigns I really thought it should be Penta in Mexico didn't happen but it's just just something to think about it definitely is because they have been they have been brewing this 946 bloodline BS Yes, very aggressively.

38:43And now the leader of the blow line is just going to have a match with nothing happening in it. Oh, no. I mean, it was just a thought. But how many times have I said to you in the 103 episodes that we've been doing this? 103. I've had a thought. And how many times have those thoughts come to fruition? That's why I hate them. When they're pretending to Roman Reigns, I cannot stand them. I can't lie. I know. You remember me screaming at WrestleMania. You know, like, you did this. You did this. Oh, when Seth and Paul got together. And Paul Heyman got together. You did this. I remember Seth was on the Eisen show, and I brought it up to him.

39:21He goes, why would you think that? Because I've been watching this stuff too long, dog. I've been watching this too long. God! By the way, Seth Rollins' team is so good in our fantasy. Yeah. It's like I really thought nobody was paying attention after, like, round eight. He was paying attention. Well, he ought to draft it after a few rounds. God, he ought to draft it in a nice-ass team. He did. By the way, you know who's good at fantasy? And I hate it. Don Bowie is good every year. I don't know if he's good at numbers or something like that. I don't know what it is. Because he Asian? What's that?

40:01Whoa. I don't know. What? I'm just saying. Don is excellent. I can't hear him, but I hear him. You know what he's saying in my ear right now. You know what he's saying in my ear right now. I don't know if he's good with numbers or something like that. But yeah, just as an aside, every year, Don is like in the championship or basketball and football. It's kind of annoying, to be honest. Yeah, bro. It's good, bro. Crunching them numbers.

40:35That's crazy. Oh, man. Shout out to Don. Man, he's 2-0 right now. That's all I'm saying. Yeah, yeah, man. You know Money in the Bank is in his stomping grounds. I know. Are we going to that? Bro, let me text Chuck right now. Let's see. Don Bowie, we had the Nolans for Money in the Bank. I think it seems only right that we go down there and do that. But, yeah, man, just think about it. But it could be Solo, too, right? It could be the fake. It could be the kidnapping. Or they really could have kidnapped this man and dropped him off somewhere in the field. They really could have kidnapped him. I don't know.

41:11And he just whooped his ass. But like Roy Ski said, ain't nobody safe. Ain't nobody safe. If you can't be safe at work, Shay, right? Here's one thing you're not worried about, right? We're sitting here at work. We're at the Rich Eisen Studios in lovely El Segundo, California. One thing you're not worried about is someone coming through the back door and scooping you up and throwing you in the back of a van because we're at work. We feel safe. We feel secure. You know what I mean? So if you're getting kidnapped at the job site, Triple H needs to hire more security or something. Or something. Or if you allow yourself to get kidnapped.

41:47I mean, it ain't no allow. Them three big-ass dudes, it's just like, yeah, Solo got kidnapped. It's believable. And God. Anything's possible. Yeah, and Solo is playing this so well. Yeah. You know, just like the buddy-buddy with LA9 or the going to his brother's like, hey, you know, we need to work together. All right, Ben. And all of a sudden getting kidnapped. This dude would be the greatest actor in the history of kayfabe. Absolutely. By the way, you know, Solo has been in movies, so, you know. What movie is he in? We talked about this before. I can't remember the name of it after. Juice. I think everybody in Juice.

42:30He was not in Jews. I have to look this up. But he was in a movie with Nicole Kidman. I got to look up the name of it. I don't remember off the top of my head. But yeah, years ago, Solo was in the movie. But there's a name we haven't said yet. And I think a lot of people will probably think it's probably Jacob, right? But again, that would also be too obvious, wouldn't it? Too obvious, too on the nose. And that'll probably be what ends up happening. Boy, the way he be talking, I'm waiting for a gang slur to come out, bro. I'm surprised it hasn't yet. Let's see. What movie was Solo Sakoa in? A little trivia for y 'all.

43:08Mid-show. He was in Destroyer with Nicole Kidman in 2018. He was like a guy who I'm sitting there during the pandemic. Randomly she pulls up. She was a cop. She pulls into like a, you know, kind of a garage where they chop up cars. And Solo comes out and starts talking. And I was like, wait a minute, why does it look like Solo? And it was Solo. So yeah, if you get a chance, look up Destroyer. I love you! Solo! Look up Destroyer with Nicole Kimmon and Solo. But yeah, Jacob, I think, would obviously he would be the most obvious one in Solo. But I'm saying for that little bit of a swerve Los Angeles Knight.

43:53Because who else wears Tim's? L.A. Knight? Royce Keys, OTM. They all wear Timbs. Right, and that pisses me off about LA 9. Me and Callie Armstrong were talking about this. He don't got nothing to LA about it. I don't know nobody in no vests. I mean, I rock Timbs every now and then. Another day, Rich said he never wore a pair of Timbs. Yeah, yeah, yeah. We need to maybe buy him a pair for his birthday. Yo, can you imagine Rich Eisen and his butters? Oh, man. Just stomping in my big black boots. You know what might need to happen? Yeah. By the way, how about them Rams? completely destroying Jackson Darden.

44:29Man, that was sad to watch. And, you know, I'm not a Giants fan. I will say this. I hate the Giants. It's like I hate the Eagles, the Washington football team, and the 49ers. Yeah. But of all the teams I hate, I like the Giants the most, if that makes sense. Like, if I could only pull one of them onto a raft, it would be the Giants, and I'd let them all, the rest of them go football. Yeah, I mean, the Pacific Division, the only team I would help out would be the Warriors. Okay, yeah. Yeah. There's another aside. And then also, you guys are going to remember, when we were at WrestleMania, our boy George Kittle, friend of the show.

45:02Hey, diddle diddle. He and O'Shea had this thing going back and forth where, and this was amazing, where Kittle would point at me and everyone would cheer. And then he'd point at you and give you the finger and then everyone would boo because you were a Rams fan. So this went on, all of WrestleMania was like, point at me, point at you, boo. Yeah. I'm going to heal that you love to hate. Oh, man, that was funny. That was a good time. You know what's crazy? The San Francisco 49ers are on a Super Bowl losing streak. You know, I tried to tell. I mean, no disrespect. Everyone always wants to talk about how the Cowboys haven't won in 30 years, which is true.

45:38But the thing is, the Niners have a longer Super Bowl winning drought than the Cowboys. But you'll never hear anybody but me, and now you say it, because that's what haters do on the Cowboys. By the way, after we lost week one, another aside, oh, my Twitter, my YouTube, My personal phone was blowing up all the hate. Everyone had something to say. Del Tuvo sent them memes, and yet we win week two. I ain't heard nothing from nobody. It was quieter than a mouse pissing on cotton in this place. Right. Well, a mouse can find some cotton. Yeah, and it's quiet when it pigs on it. Yeah.

46:12Yeah, man. Let's get back to the wrestling. The Niners suck. Yeah, I agree. But they're really good this year. It's unfortunate, man. I got Christian McCaffrey. I don't like it at all. What else do we want to talk about here, man? And let's talk about, so, so far we know we got our money in the bank. We kind of know how that, those two matches are coming. We got Roxanne moving on. We got the introduction of La Catalina. Io is still in the building. We've got Stephanie Bacare saying that she's going to give Becky Lynch and Liv Morgan a shot at her title. So we're looking at the triple threat. I cannot wait to watch that match.

46:45Oh, how about this? Braun Breaker and Javon Evans. We're in the, we're in the back. and Javon man he got the dog in him 3, 4, 5 what did the five fingers say to the face slap like that was the testicular fortitude as Mick Foley once said the testicular fortitude of young OG Javon Nevins to stand in the back out number 5 well 6 because Maxine was back there too to 1 and then just slap the baddest man well I don't know he's badder than Bronson one of the baddest men in the bush. One of the super smash bros. You know, you just slap them in his face like that? Like, that was a ballsy move. But then they go out, have the match.

47:28It looks like Javon is about to get smashed. And then, oof. Bro, and I like the, they played a version that, like, the beginning drums weren't in. It was just, oof. And then, bam, bam. And then him coming out running out. And that's what I love. I remember the only time Bianca Belair, and we miss you, Bianca, by the way. Holy crap, I miss Bianca. Bianca, man. Jeez, I hope Romeo's doing well, though. You know what I want to do? I need to have her and Tez. I'm going to get Romeo a no contest little onesie for her. Yeah, let's do a little gift basket. You know what I'm saying? We need to get her little nephew one of those.

48:05But the only time Bianca ever did something that I didn't like was after Becky cost her a title and then she came out. Because, you know, at that moment, when you have those type of, now it's on on site, You got to come out. She came out skipping one time, and I was like, no, I don't like that, B. You got to come out like you're on a mission. And that's what Oba did. There was no strut. There was like, nah, my man hit the ground running. I love that. He beat they ass. It's almost to the point now where we got Bronson Reed, right? And now he's back in phenomenal shape, looking great. But we can't lose the fact that we talk about, like, you can't let Gunther be just a guy.

48:47Right. You can't let Bronson Reed, who has a victory over Roman Reigns. You just can't let him be another guy. So it looks like every time they touch each other, though, Oba is just completely mopping them. And then, you know, Bronson pulls out a chair and evens up the lightest Bronson Reed there's ever been. Yeah. But also like you got to have Oba look like that, dude. That dude went toe to toe with Lesnar. But don't you have to also make sure Bronson doesn't look like he's just another cat? They just got to go one-on-one. It has to happen. There's enough time for that to happen, too. It's enough time to schedule a Money in the Bank match.

49:26Oh, my God. They're not going to make him be the next qualifier, are they? Look, bro, you never know. Oh, my God. You don't need that. I don't need no briefcase. I don't need no stinking badges. Yeah, that's true. We don't need it. But I love this, and I wrote this note. Javon's kind of like an underdog baby face, I think it's safe to say, right? So this was a great way to kind of make him look like more of a threat. Like, he went out there without any fear. Yeah, man, I'm here to scrap. If you really want to go at it. And if you notice, the last few months, there's been that progression. He was always happy, you know, doing the 6-7.

50:08He was always happy to be here. But now it's more like, all right. Yeah. I know what I bring. Yeah. And he looking bigger. You know, he's not a short guy. He's like 6 '4". Yeah, it's one thing to be one of those dudes that, you know, are jumping everywhere and you're little. You're little. He ain't little. And, yeah, he's getting sized. Like, with the gold teeth, just like he's starting to come into his own. And like I said before, you know, we watched him and Jackson Drake at 14 years old have wrestling matches. So there's a reason he's a young OG because he's been in the game for years. But it's just like every week you just see Javon like improving.

50:46And then like, you know, the Javon of today would not have done. The Javon of yesterday would not have done what the Javon of today did, I don't think. He would not have gone on one on five and smashed somebody. Yeah, but like, bro, bring it. Yeah. Oh, by the way, something that's fun, a nice comedic moment of that whole thing was Logan about to get in the ring. I was stepping on it I didn't even try I'm good by the way what's going on with Logan hair yeah he says it's fine though he says it's fine it's fine yeah okay bro there was somebody who put up a meme of him as a Hulk Hogan and he was like if it gets a certain amount of likes he'll do it I'm pretty sure it got that number oh yeah cause I voted twice for it I made two other accounts just so I could like it If he pulled that out, there's no way.

51:41There's no way in him. It would be something that he might do because Logan is an entertainer, right? That's what he loves to do. But nah, because you don't know. They might not grow back right if you do that. That's the last thing you want to do. For a joke? Yeah, nah. Put that ball cap on. That's it. So, yeah, so that Javon kind of made himself look like a star with the help of Oba. Yeah. So, yeah, we'll see. But you're right. I think we're going to get Bronson Reed and Obafemi. We've got to see those two link up. Just get it on. Because you also, you don't want, I don't think you want Oba and Braun touching too much right now.

52:16No, no, no. Because you can see the future. You can see the vision and see where that's going down the line. So we'll see. Then we had our girl Bailey take on Lyra. Hey, we want some Bailey. Yeah. And, you know, that was a good match. but Bailey ate the pin again old girl cheated she grabbed the tights we didn't see it at the first look couldn't see it at first then the replay and Graves pointed out yeah she did she had the tights I don't know where they're going to go with this story you're building up Lyra to be this new big bad can't really have her lose to Bailey and keep her momentum so I don't know where they're going with that Yeah, we'll see.

53:04I mean, a lot of us thought that. But looking like I could see more Bayley. Yeah, there ain't nothing bad with that. And Bayley looked mad serious, too. There wasn't like the smiling, happy Bayley. She was looking like she wanted to put in work against Lyra. She's not a hugger. She's a thugger right now. She's thugging right now. But, you know, I do. I love the new Lyra look. I love the new way she's going. You want to talk about looking tired. I know I look tired. Lyra look tired. Well, I think that's on. I know. It's well done with the makeup, too. very well done doing the job. But we'll see.

53:34We'll see where this is going. Is it possible? Man, Bailey did sign a contract, right? Because we thought she did. Someone else was like, well, no, she didn't. I'm pretty sure they're not going to let her walk out the building. But what if there was like a loser leave stipulation? I will kill somebody. Wherever Bailey goes, I'm going. Never mind. Just continue. And then we had the men's triple threat ladder match for the money in the bank, which, by the way, Don Mysterio is very smart. He sees that his opponent's been kidnapped. All right. He knows, like, it's not a safe work environment. Maybe he should just go ahead, get the win, make sure everyone's safe.

54:20That way security can do their job. Brilliant. Brilliant move by Dirty. Now, Pierce cussed him out, basically. Oh, my God. Right. I was like, Pierce, don't be mad at him because, by the way, everyone should have thought. I would have thought the same thing. He's working for employee safety. Yeah. Safe work environment. Look, Adam, we just had someone get kidnapped. This probably isn't safe. I know the authorities probably want to come in here and take notes and interview some people. So maybe we'll just let me just, let's forget the match. Let me go ahead and move on. But no, Pierce didn't want that.

54:51Pierce wanted more violence, I guess, in the workplace. but so we got Dragon Lee and we got Dom and then Pierce goes he's got a guy and and here he comes yeah and here comes crowd goes crazy and there was two things that I knew were gonna happen I knew Penta was winning this but I also knew man we're about to see a banger of a match yeah bro y 'all trying to go I know I don't wear a mask but I am a luchador I'm about to put it on you the luchador the he's the king of the luchadors don't get it twisted there was a part of me and we also know from having Penta on here on No Contest Wrestling what he thinks about Dom he said Dom was a fake Mexican he was a fake husband he was a fake luchador so I was like is he going to bring this back out so if you didn't see what happened check us out I can't remember the exact I believe that was the episode where we went to for WWE 2K when we were doing, and he called him a fake Oh no, no, that was after that was when he was on Zoom when he called him Yeah, the fake Mexican I told him to show the bicep We were like, oh my goodness, fake Mexican So we know there's already some beef with those two, Penta is not a Dom fan and Dom is not a Penta fan but I'm going to tell you this, I made notes Hey, Pendejo I mean, this was it was a great show and it goes to show you how much that they've put into Penta because he started the show and ended the show.

56:24They don't let anybody just do that, right, Shea? That means... Come on, look at him. Money! Also, and his favorite football player is George Kittle. There's that. What the hell for? Dragon Lee, man. Dragon Lee is like Roosh to me. Remember how I said about Roosh, Has anyone ever let Roosh know that he doesn't have to go 190 miles per hour, but he does? His move of diving out between the ropes and then flipping, because you can't start the flip until you're out of the rope. Like that is, you're breaking physics. That's incredible, man. And he is really coming to his own. it's so hard when when you are in a promotion with Rey Mysterio and fans might not be the majority of the fans aren't appreciating like Lucha and everything that goes into being that style of wrestler and you got a mask on you got to do something yeah you got to stand out and he has begun to stand out he is having the hottest year he's had in the company by far also when we were in anaheim uh for raw last year got to chop it up with him in the back before we met asca mad cool dragon lee you know and so yeah with his family did you take a picture oh yeah with with them yeah so i don't have it but yeah he's doing great work um and it was so cool to see don mysterio get to be the don mysterio that we know He didn't play the Cowardly Hill this match.

58:15This was a great luchador match. And that's why there was part of me, like I said, I walked in thinking it was going to be Penta. Halfway through, I'm like, oh, maybe they'll put Dom in this. Maybe Dom will go over. He didn't. But, yo, just applaud to those three. Well done. I loved watching that match, man. Yeah, that's a banger of a match. It's definitely rewatchable. And Penta went over, as he should, because he is, you know, he's hot right now. Hot. So...

59:32I kind of outcovers it. But I have to go back, though, and say that L.A. Knight thing, bro. That truly was one of his best promos. and if you didn't see it, go back and watch it. It was long. It was a long promo. And I'm telling you, man, because of that, something in my head went, he's saying this, and I can see him doing this by always hitting on it. You couldn't do it on the loan. You couldn't beat me by yourself. Well, guess what? Now I'm not going to beat you by myself. Yeah. And October 10th or, yeah, October 10th in New Orleans, Money in the Bank. maybe we'll realize that the LA was for Louisiana all along love the chicken from Popeyes that wasn't a paid ad that was Popeyes we just love you nah not at all but yeah so we'll see you know a lot of things going on in AEW too but there's one thing that's really cool that we haven't touched on I'll touch on whatever I want Stephen Borden aka the son of Sting doing his you know starting his in-ring career, and it's really kind of throwing me off, man.

1:00:45It's because I understand how genetics work. Right? Yeah. You look like you're dead. Of course. Because that's how genetics work. But he looks too much like his dad. Yeah, some say three months. You know what I mean? And it's funny, his brother Garrett, who if you remember from Sting's retirement match, they both played different versions of the Sting from different points of his career. They both look exactly like their dad, but they both look different from one another. It's like Garrett is shorter and more stocky than his brother, so he's looking like early surfer Sting who came out with the Blade Runners from when he and Ultimate Warrior were tag team partners.

1:01:28He's the more jacked of the two, but looking just like his dad. Then you got Garrett, who's a little taller, leaner muscle, looking like later Sting, Was there a mother? Right? Mom just carried the baby. Sting was like my DNA. Like mom's genes didn't even try. But it's just cool. And, you know, wrestling, and I bring this up because you get this a lot. People have a feeling about Nepo babies, right? Yeah, Nepo babies up by a billion. And let me tell you, you're now up by a billion and one. Now two. Matter of fact, I didn't even think to talk about this. You're up more than that. because let's think about the Nepo babies who have recently made a splash.

1:02:08We're talking about Stephen Borden and AEW. Now he and Darby Allin are going to be going after the tag team champions. Looking just like his dad. It's so weird. His brother Garrett, from what I understand, is signing with AEW. So he should be... He's been doing a lot of dark matches. We have Avery Styles, son of AJ Styles. I just saw him throw a phenomenal flying forearm off of a stage. They looked like they were wrestling in a gym because, you know, he's still starting out. Couldn't tell me that was his dad. we might have to hit AJ up and get Avery on this. Then of course we got Zilla, son of Umaga.

1:02:41Now Zilla has been in the game longer than all these other guys, but now he's just making his way to NXT and WWE. So there were a lot of Nepo babies. And I think the one place in wrestling where you shouldn't have, at least I never have an issue. I don't have an issue with anybody following in their parents' footsteps, but I especially love the wrestling because I root it for your dad. I root it for your mom. I root it for your uncle. you know and so it's cool to kind of see them doing that that's why people like you know i i say this and i'm not saying this to sweat you or anything but like when you or an iron go out you know when we're especially at wrestling matches the amount of love that you get shown it's dope to see i love to see my boy get shown that love but and it's half of it's because of your dad and they just know you from them other half is because of everything that you've accomplished on your own acting music podcast wise i'd love to see it so i'd love to see cody rhodes and randy wharton and guys like that who followed the family's footsteps it's cool to see this new batch new wave new wave of kids following in their parents footsteps and so i just wanted to throw that out there so dope to see steve borden it freaks me out it really does because it's like wait a second And Shay, I start watching Sting.

1:03:55The first time I saw, now, you don't know how old I am, but you know I'm an old cat. I first saw Sting, I was like 16 years old, bro. So to see this guy now, it makes me feel like, you know what I mean? It makes me feel like I'm that age again. So yeah, just big shout out to all these guys. Like I said, Steve and Garrett and Avery and Zilla, and anyone else that I, oh, and then we have Aaliyah Mysterio. She just signed. All right, congrats on that. Dean Malenko's daughter has just signed. And I know I'm missing some others, and I apologize for that. I'm sure you'll let me know. But yeah, it's kind of a cool time if you're fans of wrestling and you get to see these kids following.

1:04:32But Aaliyah Mysterio, because that opens up the door for a lot, man. What if she comes in? Is she going to line herself with her brother? Is she going to put on a mask? Hell no. The last time we saw her, she was getting water thrown in her face. I don't know, man. It's just cool. It's cool if you're a wrestling fan. but it's cool if you're not a wrestling fan. It's just, it tells me that wrestling is still thriving. People like to say it's dead or whatever, but it's not. Yeah, bro, the loom and gloom fans, they'll never win. Wrestling don't stop. And, you know, speaking of a feeling of nostalgia, I think we promised the people that you had some gifts to give out.

1:05:13Yeah, why don't you tell them, like, last week what you said that made me go, yeah, I should. We were just speaking on giving people their flowers, you know, and you want to be giving your flowers when you're around to smell them. And usually stars pass, whether it be movies or music, their products that they put out skyrocket because people want to see, people want to know about the person. And they want to be able to appreciate why everyone feels so emotional about their passing. and so we decided that it should be a good thing to kind of educate those who aren't in the know who watch us and listen to us and so we have a segment now where the wrestling almanac alright big tuna TJ Jefferson will be giving out flowers for these great legends that will give you some matches for you to watch so you can appreciate these people while they are still around to smell the flowers yeah so this first guy wanted to go wanted to celebrate let's just say like you should know him um but if you're new because i know we got a lot of new fans that watch this shake which is the which is really cool so we're introducing them to a lot but there's a wrestler i want to kick this off with and this man i would say would be the ultimate baby face as far as i can remember he never turned heel and he was someone who other wrestlers look at and say hey, this guy was a consummate professional.

1:06:46This guy's work was incredible. And this guy just should be put at the top of every list. But he doesn't really get put on when you talk about the greatest of all time. He never really gets mentioned. But we want to end that today. So I want to give a shout out to a guy who, like I said, when I was a young man watching wrestling, he was one of the guys I used to love. His real name, how dope is this? It's Richard Blood. Like, how dope is that name? That's your name. That name's so dope. But they went, nah, we're going to give you a wrestling name. So instead of Richard Blood, they took this young, good-looking Hawaiian bodybuilder and said, we're going to make you Ricky Steamboat.

1:07:21And that's who I want to give flowers to is the dragon. Ricky the Dragon Steamboat. He's widely regarded as one of the greatest, most technically gifted and universally respected professional wrestlers that have ever lived. And when you talk about his moves, like if you want to see how, you know, an arm drag should be done to the highest degree, just watch Ricky Steamboat. If you want to see how a full body press off the top rope looks perfection, you go to Ricky Steamboat. If you want to see how you sell and carry a body part that's been injured from the time it gets injured to the end of the match, watch Ricky the Dragon Steamboat.

1:07:59and so basically I want to do this is I want to say Ricky the Dragon Steamboat you are the man you deserve all the flowers you deserve the roses because Ricky was a guy Shay he was the first baby face I ever saw the fans turn on believe it or not I remember being a kid and he's going up against Ric Flair right and Flair will tell you this I've heard Ric Flair say this multiple times Dusty Rhodes was his greatest opponent. Ricky Steamboat was his favorite opponent. Okay. Okay. Flair kind of saw Steamboat back in the late 70s and decided he wanted to work with him and help him become a star, which he did.

1:08:36But we get to NWA, WCW time in the late 80s. Steamboat's coming back. He was in WWE for a while. He came back, and now it looks like he's going to, not looks like, he's working with Ric Flair. He's about to take him on for the WCW, the big gold belt. And Ricky Steamboat's doing everything right, man. He's a family man. He talks about his beautiful wife, his son. What's not to love. What's to represent family values. He brings his wife out. He brings young Richie, his son, who became a wrestler, also in NXT. From what I understand, Richie Steamboat was really good until he decided to start wrestling.

1:09:11But Ricky Steamboat's doing the right thing. Here's his wife. Here's his son. He's representing family values, right? It's the American dream. But then Ric Flair comes out with six girls, and he's telling you there's six more in the limo, and they're all dying to hear him go, woo. And all of a sudden, everybody turned on Ricky Steamboat. All the preteen and the teenage and the early 20s kids were like, we don't want to be like him. We want to be like him. And it was the first time I heard. I'm looking for it all. It was the first time I heard a white baby face get booed by the crowd because Ric Flair made them all think that limos and private jets and Rolexes and alligator shoes and custom-made suits were so much better than marrying the love of your life and having a baby in a white picket face.

1:09:59Yeah, man. So that was kind of weird to me. But yeah, man. All right, Shay, so, you know, because we're giving him his roses and his flowers, what I wanted to do is for the people who maybe aren't familiar with Ricky Steamboat's work, I want to give them five quintessential Ricky the Dragon Steamboat matches. At least five matches that I personally love that can maybe introduce him to a new fan base of wrestling fans. Because when I tell you the man was great, he truly was great. One of the first ones here, and these aren't in order or anything. These are just as they came. this match was universally recognized as maybe the gold standard of professional wrestling matches for years now as it's time has gone on and more matches have happened i think we kind of lose this sometimes but i don't want it to get lost and that is the wrestlemania three match between the macho man randy savage and ricky the dragon steamboat for the intercontinental championship like i said this match gets all the stars it gets all the flowers it gets all the roses thing about Savage is apparently he was a guy who liked to rehearse and apparently according to Steamboat it drove him crazy but whatever they did worked because this is truly a gem of a wrestling match it's one of my favorite matches it's one of the best matches of all time as Ricky Steamboat wins the Intercontinental Championship defeats the Macho Man Randy Savage and you know becomes champion he did not have the belt long because apparently he asked for some time off for family business from Vince, and Vince decided to take the belt off of him, put it on the honky-tonk, man, and he got a year-long reign, which I can only imagine what could have happened if that had been Ricky Steamboat, because that would have elevated that IC title.

1:11:42Because remember, when Randy Savage had that IC belt, it was the first time that that really felt like it was on par with the world title. I'm a little champion. Yeah, freak out, freak out. I'm talking to you, Ricky the Dragon Steamboat. Yeah, on tonight. I'll never forget. I'll be in a position I'd rather not be. Mean Gene talking to Miss Elizabeth. And Randy's like, I'm the intercom little champion here. But yeah, Savage Steamboat. We should have gotten way more matches with those two. But yeah, WrestleMania III, Savage Steamboat. If you haven't seen it, please look it up. It's phenomenal. And then we got him.

1:12:20Dig him deep because there's another guy who I'm a huge fan of. You guys, of course, know Bray Wyatt. Well, this is his uncle, Barry Windham, who is one of my favorite wrestlers of all time. And this is a tag team match. Back in the NWA, this is Ric Flair and Barry Windham as the four horsemen. And they're taking on Hot Stuff Eddie Gilbert. And he has a special guest partner. And that partner happens to be Ricky Steamboat, who comes back to NWA, back to WCW after his time in WWE. And Flair and Windham are losing their minds because Steamboat comes out. there's a clip on YouTube and I think if you just type it in the way we have it here NWA Rick Flair and Barry Windham versus Eddie Gilbert and Ricky Steamboat from January 21st 1989 it's about a half hour long clip well worth the time watching Eddie Gilbert's trying to tell Flair he's got a surprise for him Steamboat comes out they go nuts great tag team match peep it if you get the chance another great tag team match I want to bring up if you haven't seen is Ricky Steamboat and Jay Youngblood versus Sgt.

1:13:27Slaughter and Don Kernodle for the NWA tag team titles in a cage match from March 12th, 1983 another one of the all time great matches this is Sgt. Slaughter before he became WWF Sgt. Slaughter and Don Kernodle were tag team champions and Ricky Steamboat and Jay Youngblood multiple time tag team champions if I'm not mistaken but this cage match was awesome. Or as Tiffy calls him. SGT slaughter. Yes, sir. But yeah, if you've never seen it, like I said, just type that into YouTube and sit back and relax. Great, great professional wrestling match. And then, of course, we talked about him earlier, the greatest of all time, in my opinion, Ric Flair.

1:14:07He and Steamboat have so... I can't even tell you how many times they've wrestled each other. But let me give you this one in particular. It's from Clash of the Champions, April the 2nd, 1989. Two out of three falls matches. Two out of three falls match for the NWA title, and it's Ricky Steamboat versus Ric Flair. And when you talk about your Mount Rushmore of great all-time matches, this one usually makes it in there from a lot of people in the know. Again, if you're not familiar, if you haven't seen it, go peep it. It's about, I don't know, 45 minutes to an hour long, but you're talking some of the best wrestling with two of the greatest wrestlers of all time.

1:14:45You know how great Ric Flair is. And if you don't know how great Ricky Steamboat is, this is going to show you. And then I wanted to add this one. Now, Shay, there's another man who many people consider to be the greatest of all time, the most popular wrestler of all time, and that is Stone Cold Steve Austin. Not bad. But a lot of people don't know that before Stone Cold Steve Austin existed, stunning Steve Austin existed. Yes. And, you know, the long, flowing, blonde locks. Yes. So there's a match. If you're unfamiliar with his time before he shaved his head, and became the Taskmaster in Stone Cold.

1:15:17Check this out, man. 1994, WCW Bash at the Beach. Steve Austin, stunning Steve Austin, takes on Ricky Steamboat for the WCW United States Championship. And I'm going to tell you, those guys had a lot of banger matches together in the time that they both were in WCW. But this is just one I want to point out. Bash at the Beach, 1994. Great match between the two of them. And yeah, man, we just wanted to give some people some flowers. Give some people some roses. Give the fans of wrestling maybe some matches that you haven't watched or never knew about and give our friends at no contest. Show the T-shirt.

1:15:56Show the T-shirt, man. I forgot about that. Today's T-shirt. Come on, man. I'm glad you said that. I got you, dog. I forgot I was wearing. Come on, dog. Okay. I put that on this morning for this moment, and then I forgot I was even – I got you, man. This is why we tag team partners, man. But yeah, man, so those are just, you know, Ricky Steam. Hold on, can we talk about how you got Ricky the Dragon Steam, I got Dragon Ball Z on, did we call each other? We did. I haven't talked to you since last week. Did we call each other? That is kind of weird. But yeah, man, there's some roses to give out to Ricky the Dragon.

1:16:31Hopefully, he's a guy who I'd love to get here on No Contest. Yes. But yeah, check out those matches. You'll see his greatness. Also, for our fans, if you know a way to get a hold of any of these legends, if you just happen to be a guy who's like, oh, actually, my cousin, he knows such and such. My uncle's Tommy Wildfire Rich. Yeah, right? Bro, come on. We are easily accessible. Matter of fact, we're so accessible. TJ, tell him where to find us. Yeah, man. 1:17:49What's up, baby? And before we go, you know there's something I want to say, too? I want to say, it's Ren's Day. So, free Ren Sinclair, Mr. Stone. I got a bone to pick with you, my guy. I know he's a friend of the show. We've seen people dang near get murdered in parking lots. The NXT parking lot is the most dangerous spot on the planet. How many people have you seen get beat up, bloodied, just broken in that parking lot? Yeah, exactly. Matter of fact, I wonder if it's an arena on the game. It should be. It should be most dangerous. It's one of the most dangerous. The Bermuda Triangle is dangerous.

1:18:27Almost as dangerous as the NSD parking lot. Here's my beef, though. You got Ren Sinclair, who, yeah, she wilded out a little bit. You know, she went and attacked Kalani Jordan after her match against Jada last week, but that's because her best friend Kendall got hurt, so she snapped, took the kendo stick. We got one here. We get it. You lose it sometimes. Murdered? Murdered who? But now she's suspended. She can't get back in the building? Yeah. Like, Ren Sinclair has entered that phase of I don't care. Ooh. Now, you might go, well, what do you mean you don't care, TJ? What I don't care means I don't care what she does.

1:19:02I ain't going to be mad at her. I ain't mad at Ren. I don't care what Ren does. I shoot on Wren's days. You know what I'm saying? Much like Bianca. We don't care what Bianca does. We ain't booing her. We ain't never booing EO. I'm not booing Wren. So Stone, get over it, dog. Robert? You know what I mean? Wren didn't do nothing wrong as far as I'm concerned. Free Wren. Free Wren. Until it's backwards. What you do? How you do? This is gang-banging territory. There you go. Also, real quick, before we go, NXT yesterday we watched Grayson Waller, our guy, friend of the show Great on the mic Kind of the thing with Mason Rook, a little low-hanging fruit about his weight Look, I'm a big boy I don't weigh, you know what I'm saying?

1:19:49I got a little, like Dusty Rhodes said I'm not built like the athlete that they're supposed to look My belly a little big, my hiney a little big That's Mason Rook So I don't like that I like wrestlers built like me Like Kevin Owens and Mason Rook, guys like that but if you didn't get the chance, check out Mason Rook's promo last night. I thought it was a little bit fire. It was a little bit fire. I think he took Grayson out on the mic last night. Now, I don't know if he's going to win this NXT title, but Mason Rook's telling you that's 300 pounds. 300 pounds. He's a bad boy, and I'm very invested now in this feud and this match.

1:20:26So I just wanted to give Mason his props. That was a dope, dope promo. And, of course, our friend, our favorite, Raina Vokan, she returned. She back. Hit another one of our friends. The problem with us and NXT is we're friends now with everybody, and I hate to see them fight. Yeah. Oh, my God. I hate to see them fight. The homie Cam telling Cruz, didn't your mama used to sell drugs? Oh, no. It's like, yeah. By the way, Cruz Montana is still money on the mic, too. He's always money. Hold on, man. My mama. My mama. Man. But yeah, NXT, man, that's the problem with interviewing somebody. When we start to like them all, then we don't want to see anyone fight.

1:21:10But it looks like we're getting Raina against Cali soon. I'll be tuned in for that. Please believe it. Real buff. Real buff. Yeah, you believe in that like you believe in Jesus. Now, and also I just want to add about Ricky Steamboat's real name, Dick Blood is crazy. That's why I said Richard. On behalf of my fucking. Speaking of mamas. once again we started it let's leave it with it too happy birthday to my mom kim yes i guess probably the eighth time i've ever said your name in my life one time i was on uh jacob what was it called jaylen and jacoby remember that old show no it was like uh shout out to your mom what's your mom's name i was like i don't kill well one time my mom needed my phone to call her phone because she couldn't find it.

1:21:58She was like, I don't see my name. I said, well, your name's Mom. Yeah, why would I put you in the camp? I'm like, what sicko am I? My mom is Mom in here. Yeah, Mom. Your name is Mom. Either way. Happy birthday, Mom. Yes, man. I love you. Shout out to all of them. Look at them. Look at them. Look at them. Happy born day. First of all, I know we're trying to go, but just black love for one thing, And then seeing a couple, especially a man in your dad's situation, right, to be the star that he is, never hear no type of strife, never hear no type of BS. You go work, you go home. Isn't that what he told you?

1:22:35Yeah, bro. I just talked to Uncle Mike Epps the other day, and he was like, your dad told me, every night is not a party. You know, do work, go home, man. Get yourself a good woman, and you keep her, and life is good, man. You're never going to see yourself in your car, so make sure your interior is where you want to be. Oh, there you go. Well, happy birthday, Miss Kim. Happy birthday, Mom. I love you. I'm headed there right now to probably eat some cake, and I got you a present too. But on behalf of myself and my podcast partner, make sure that y 'all have a good day, but not too good, because this is my mama's birthday.

1:23:12Right. And as always, bye, Miss Parker. Look at where Miss Parker's birthday is. We're going to get her again.

1:23:26Having uncontrolled eosinophilic esophagitis or EOE can mean you're stuck in many ways, like cutting your food into tiny pieces. Or stuck chewing food for a long time. Dupixin Dupilumab, a prescription medicine for patients one year and older weighing at least 33 pounds can help with that. It's a breakthrough treatment that can reduce inflammation in the esophagus and improve swallowing. You can get with this, or you can get with that. How about this? Dupixent is not a steroid. It proactively treats EOE so you can get ahead of it. Severe allergic reactions, including skin reactions, can occur.
