In short
The hosts (O’Shea Jackson Jr./K.A. Petty Guerrero and TJ Jefferson) promote O’Shea’s new R-rated road-trip buddy comedy Idiots (premiere at Eagle Rock; in theaters Aug. 28), then review recent WWE TV—SmackDown, Raw—and discuss storylines and booking choices.
Guests (episode guests)
No separate podcast guests appear. The “guests” discussed are film/TV personalities featured in conversation: Dave Franco, Mason Thames (Hiccup from How to Train a Dragon), Kiernan Shipka, Peter Dinklage, Nick Braun (Succession), Killer Mike, and wrestling figures mentioned include Kevin Owens, CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, Baron Corbin, Carmelo Hayes, Trick Williams, Chelsea Green, Tiffany Stratton, Nikki Bella, Paige, Shinsuke Nakamura, Charlotte Flair, Jade Cargill, Tatum Paxley, Solo Sikoa, and Jay Uso.
Key claims
Idiots is described as an emotional rollercoaster with crowd reactions, expanded to 1,400 theaters, and “best comedy of 2026.” O’Shea says he had to access real grief/emotion (grandmothers, Uncle Star) to play his role. Wrestling: Punk vs. Kevin Owens promos feel like real hostility; Fatal Influence’s booking has Chelsea Green take the pin and then get injured (broken orbital bone), raising concerns about the interim title. Jade Cargill criticism is called nitpicky.
Notable examples
Idiots plot—two strangers tasked with transporting a billionaire social-media star “asshole” for rehab across state lines; comparisons to Logan Paul’s dad/Jeff Bezos. SmackDown examples—Punk/Cody/Randy setup, Corbin using the belt then getting jumped by Carmelo Hayes. Raw examples—Solo Sikoa’s “warning shot” from Jay Uso; Tatum Paxley’s debut with Alexa Bliss.

0:31Party people, your dreams have now been fulfilled. Get your ass up and let's get ill. Welcome to another Wednesday episode of the No Contest Wrestling Podcast. I am the heel that you love to hate, O'Shea Jackson Jr., K.A. Petty Guerrero. Hey, yo, it's me, it's me. It's the T-double-O, the J-I-double-G, T-J-G, T-J Jefferson. What's up, man? You know, a few things. Okay. And not a lot at the same time. I, for the viewers, I'm not getting naked. I am just going to do some promo right now. Because, first of all, I can't see the top button. I might die. Help! Okay, sorry. Don't move out. It was, I panicked.
1:19Yeah, me and TJ might have missed Monday Night Raw. I know, relax. Chill, chill, chill. Chill, chill, chill. because we was partying. You could have already had this open, though. I know, but I just wanted to show them I could get this to the top button because I've been losing weight. But yeah, so Idiotas. Idiotas, yes. In theaters, August 28th. We went to the premiere. Yeah, Monday night. It was dope. Had a great time. Had a great time. You made me go the whole way to Eagle Rock. I had to bring my passport out for that. Yeah, I've never heard of that place. I was like, is that in Colorado? I don't know.
2:03First of all, this is another little side note. We'll put a pin in what we were going to talk about. There's so much of California where I'm like, I don't know. But there's also so much of LA that I don't know. Yeah, and it took me an hour and 20 minutes to drive from my crib there. Which in the big scheme of things, like, yeah, you could cross some states in an hour. Yeah, you could have went to San Diego. That is almost, not quite. Hey, you could have. But, yeah, man, you know, I don't really go up to Pasadena, Engle Rock up in that area too often. So it was a heck of a hike, but, you know, it was cool.
2:33You know how, like, so I grew up in the valley, and I consider normal valley to be from Sepulveda to Topanga Canyon. Like, that is the normal valley. Sepulveda, but what about everything east? That's my bubble. You don't go to Studio City? That's my bubble. Like, that's the bubble I grew up in. Anybody who tells me they grew up on any other side, I'm like, that's weird, Val. I don't know anything about that bubble. But, like, if you was rocking from Sepulveda all the way to Topanga Mall, that is the normal valley for me. How many of those exist? Like, your idea of Altoona is somebody else's completely different idea.
3:19You know, like, it's like. We probably got the same idea. You know, probably. It's only that. but they're not the big tuna but that being said there's only people like come to LA and they're like hey man I'm in LA like what should I do I don't know go to the game I don't know leave me alone go to the beach LA's so big man I don't know what to do here though well I know what we did do on Monday yeah and as I went out to support my man's hair and his new film Idiots coming out August 28th August 28th I want to remind you that Idiots comes out August 28th. And yeah, so here we have some of the pictures here.
3:55There's the one-seat movie poster. Why don't you tell them who's in the flick with you, man? You know, it is Dave Franco, myself, Mason Thames, a.k.a. Hiccup, for our younger viewers. Young people? A moth got in here. I don't even understand. No, it's the end of days. My man Mason Thames plays Hiccup on How to Train a Dragon. He's also in Black Phone. He kills it, crushes it. He's kind of the villain of the movie. you would say also um uh kiernan shipka who's a beast um a man peter dinklage who i mean legendary legendary and um nick braun nicholas braun who you might know from secession and things i promise you the role that he has in this um you've never seen anything like it before and it uh shout out of Prickabush the Werewolf.
4:47And I've already seen the film three other times. It was once at Sundance, another at the Atlanta Film Festival, and then some random screening where we did a Q &A at the end, and now at the premiere. And every single time. That's a good pick right there. The crowd kind of goes crazy. Yeah. Like, it is a rollercoaster ride of emotions. At its core, it's a road trip comedy. We haven't had one of those in a minute that really hit. They wrote it over 10 years ago, so maybe that's why it has some of that old school flavor that you kind of have been missing from that time. And, yeah, it's a film that I'm really proud of.
5:38I put a lot into it. it's me and dave we we play two guys who don't know each other meet on the same day where we have to transport a billionaire son who turns out to be quite the asshole yeah uh but a billionaire son to rehab across state he's a shateed a shateed for sure uh but we have to take him to a rehabilitation center across the state and he does not make it easy for us not at all at all there are a few shenanigans and also that he's also a social media star yeah so it plays in today's world where he's got a ton of followers yeah but he kind of does not great things yeah right it's not like he's he doesn't have one of those pleasant followers he does a lot of bad stuff yeah his followers seem to eat up just imagine just so everybody could grasp it just imagine if logan paul's dad was jeff bezos that would be oh okay crazy there you go imagine what he'd be like 16 17 but you couldn't tell him nothing nothing that's kind of nothing that that's for sure the the character that makes it plays but it's rated r as hell like it is r as hell and it is a good time there is and everybody says this everybody always says this whenever they do press runs or like you know you gotta see it with a crowd dude it's such an experience and it's so fun hearing the oh like hearing all that you you will be cheating yourself if you don't uh see it with a crowd it is an independent so you gotta see what theaters it's in but ifc the people at ifc are so behind it and the buzz has been so great the reviews have been so great that we started off we were going to put it in 600 theaters the buzz and everything that's been going on they were like okay so we decided to put it in 1400 theaters it was like they were like really behind it and it's some dope shit and I will go out on a limb say I will guarantee it is the best comedy of 2026.
8:00Okay. I'll put a stamp on it. I ain't never did that for none of my movies. I don't give a f***. Yeah, and bleep that out, D-Lo. I don't give a f*** what comes out or what came out before. Idiots is the best comedy of 2026. And when you go to the theater, tell them O'Shea Jackson Jr. sent you and nothing will happen. Yeah, man. So Monday we went Eagle Rocket Vidiotz. shout out to vidiots shout out to vidiots and it was you know it was cool you know the free popcorn and free drinks and all that stuff free taste better yeah it's always better you know but then sitting down watching it like I said with the crowd it was great to hear the reactions yeah IFC presents Idiots oh we got little stamps now look at that at the bottom yeah it's not a game we don't do this for fun but yeah bro for me it was like you know I got there a little early because I mean I'm never early for nothing but this was like from that drive I was like let me leave earlier beat some of this traffic.
8:58So yeah, you know, sat down, you got me some good seats. I appreciate you. Of course. But more importantly, though, you know, to see, and I feel this way about, you know, as you know, who some of my friends are in the acting world. And it's like, I always feel this enormous sense of pride anytime I go and see one of my boys or one of my girls, you know, up on screen. And there's been so many of them throughout the years. But it was the same thing with you, you know, like just very proud of you, you know, especially when I look back I can consider that while you're filming this independent movie, like people don't really know.
9:30It's like Ari said in Entourage. It's like, you know, you got some Apple boxes. You know, you don't got the big trailers. You know, it's boom, boom, boom. You're moving, you're moving. You're doing things on the low. Yeah. So to know that you're out there trying to make this movie in Georgia at the time you did when I know it's hot and I know it's muggy. Absolutely. And then for you to still make sure that you made time every week to zoom in, whether it be from a car, shout out to Grace Waller who was asking you if you were to drive through, or a hotel room or wherever you could find a space to make sure you zoomed in every week to bring some fun to the wrestling world and all the fans.
10:10I thought about that during the movie. And then just, you know, you get pride when there's someone that you feel for and you care for. I'm probably not going to say what you want me to say for a while, but it's like, yeah, man, I'm like, that's my man up there you know what i'm saying and it's like so when you were getting the laughs and it was just like i was like yeah man that's that's dope and doing it and um yeah you know it's one of those movies where like you're going to sit there the beginning scenes i'm can i just maybe yeah go ahead you and killer mike at the beginning of the movie you play a driver who's driving some kids and you take them to a movie that you thought was probably going to be good for some kids and then you realize halfway in that like, oh man, I'm gonna get in trouble.
10:54Yeah, this isn't for kids and yet you never took the kids out of the movie even when you found out it was for them. He's a trouble guy, Davis. Davis is a trouble dude. So yeah, Killer Mike was asking you some questions and you were, you know, very emotional and so I don't think I'm gonna ruin anything. You lost that job. I don't wanna ruin anything in the movie but yeah, you know, because if you didn't lose that job, we wouldn't be on this. We wouldn't have the movie. So then you get Dave come on and he's working like a telemarketer and he's just sitting there vaping it up bro that is one of my favorite my job yes my job it's my job man so dave franco i gotta be honest man i think dave franco is hilarious i think you're funny and hilarious so you two together are great i hope we see more of you two together but um yeah dave uh me and dave did a show called the now back in the day and i I say show because it was a show, but it was technically a movie.
11:48I don't know if you guys remember Quibi. Rest in peace. Right, right. Quibi, this app that we were supposed to be able to watch things on the go. Right. So it was written as a movie, but because it was on Quibi, we're going to break it up into 12, 10-minute episodes. You can make it easily digestible. Yeah, easy. Bam. and uh yeah the now i think it's still you know you could probably find it on roku or something and that's where we hit it off and i give all the credit to dave because dave from the jump me him and jimmy tatro dave was like let's go out to dinner every week he was like let's hit dinner let's hit dinner and so like that became our our thing and we developed chemistry and we after we were done kept talking you know still randomly we'll go out to dinner the three of us um just because of of that time in in Vancouver and so Dave hits me randomly like yo I got this movie and I need a I I need a co-lead it's it's like a twofer and as you know managing maintenance repair and operations is never easy but for the ones who always rise to the challenge Granger has your back.

It can help you with practically anything on the web, like restoring a vintage motorcycle from a 50-page restoration block, or finally break down that long article you've had open for weeks.
13:43Gemini and Chrome is here for it. Ready to make anything online make sense? There's no place like Chrome. Check responses set up required, compatibility and availability varies 18+. I think you could kill it. And so when you hear, you know, like your buddy says, like he put his name out there to say like no shake and do that yeah you know and that's your friend being like no i believe in you like i know you got this so now i kind of had that chip on my shoulder of just like all right whatever this whatever it is i need to like really go for it i need to have it where it is a special moment it's not just me you know doing a film and so i I let myself be very vulnerable in this film as far as emotion that I've never displayed in any of the roles that I've done.
14:36You know, I had to go to a real place that I that was never asked of me before. And also, I wouldn't have been able to reach that at any other time in my life. You know, I lost both my grandmothers. I lost my Uncle Star, who was my uncle slash security slash best friend. I took him on every single set. And I lost him a month after I lost my first grandma. And also on top of being a parent, being a dad has made me worry on a whole different level. Of course. And the idea of anything happening to my kid, easy. Like, it gets me there. Don't even imagine. Acting is a weird job. Because there were even times where while I was going through that, while I was going through real life things, as an actor, I would tell myself, like like i i you don't let yourself go through a complete grieving process like you just stuff everything down because i could i might need i might need to go here you know and it's like super unhealthy but it it works you know and now like drop of a hat you know i i got it and i was able to feel comfortable to show that in idiots while also having the most chaotic comedic things happening around me it's really hard to cry when everybody's being funny like it is it that van scene when i when uh dinklage shows up and i gotta cry in the back like that is difficult like i mean you cried like in the first scene then you're sitting on the curb last you're sitting on the curb crying like my man davis is going through it and i think the beauty of the character is he's getting in his own way there's nothing that's making him a bad person it's just his decision making you know and so he can't figure that out and it frustrates him so much that he's starting to believe he's a bad person he's starting to believe like you know and he's super uh he walks a life of faith you know he he's he's really behind uh his religion and and he's very serious about this job yeah and so when he continues to fail he starts to believe in his head that like it is just me like i'm destined to just not make anything of myself and so like yeah that that just makes him uh this emotional roller coaster until until he snapped and boy I love when he snaps.
17:30And yeah, so we had a great time. Your boy kind of kills it. Kind of kill it. And yeah, go see Idiots when it comes out. August 28th, you know, it's a weird thing, the movie business. The opening weekend is very important. They kind of like stop looking at numbers after the opening weekend, which makes no sense. Right. because like because some people can't go see it because everybody's going to go see it like that's how i feel all the time right like word of mouth and then like sometimes the theaters are always sold yeah so like what you know but something like obsession got you know the indie market really believing in itself again because yeah word of mouth you know spreading the word you're putting on social media and you know just all those things catching a wildfire um because if if O'Shea Jackson Jr.
18:26the actor gets bigger, NCW is going to be huge. But I appreciate you guys' support as always. Make sure you go see Idiots August 28th. I'm going to stretch out my shirt so you can see it clearly and remember. And to the listeners, that's what I'm about to do. Yeah, 820. Make sure you go see it, boy. I'm pretty proud of it. Yeah, man. It's one of those just fun road trip buddy comedy. some drug references strippers it's going to be everything a lot of blood a lot of bodily fluids there's a scene and I'm not going to say it because I'm going to ruin it there's a scene in a motel room that you will get at least three different feelings you're going to get the oh this is funny you're going to get the at that one point the entire theater went oh and then and then you're gonna get the yo what is this movie this is what i thought this movie was man and so you're gonna get all these type of feelings all these type of yeah yeah man and so yeah without wanting to give away too much go see it your boy does great i thought it was great like i said it was very proud to to see you up there doing your thing and in the obviously you know a premiere or a screen the crowd's gonna maybe give you a little bit more in terms of laughter because they know what they're there for.
19:52But I think outside of it, it's going to be the same thing. There's going to be people, like I said, they're going to be grossed out. They're going to lose their mind. I laughed out loud probably, and I'm talking solid, like eight to ten. If you laugh out loud, like five. Yeah, one of those belly laughs. I got about eight to 12 of those, man. Yeah, so go check them out. And it just kind of makes me – don't worry, folks. This is no contest. Wrestling, we will talk about wrestling, but some things are bigger than wrestling like this from our brother here. So, yeah, it's just proud. Like I said, you, Dave Franco, I'm a fan.
20:29Peter Dinklage is in it. Yeah, man. Mason was great. And Mason is a little heartthrob piece of shit that he is. Everybody sees him as the good guy in everything he does. You're kind of rude for him. You do not rude for him in this one. Those looks he gives and then he'll do a little smile. You little shit But even more than that, you know, you and I Because we've been, you know, I say we've been close Over the last two years Going to there and starting to meet some of your people You know what I mean? Some of your close friends And like some of them coming up to me From across the theater who I didn't know They're like, oh, you're TJ And I'm like, yeah, and because they've seen us Do this together, plus I was wearing a no contest T-shirt with our pictures on it But no, that was cool to see You know, get to chop it up with people that you know you love and you're close with yeah it was like all the all my corners of my life crossed uh at the same time who like never seen each other yeah like i see you and john david witherspoon man i i you guys were talking i was talking to someone else so i didn't get his name at first but then i heard his voice and i was like oh wait a second yeah i know who this is and it's or John Witherspoon's son.
21:41Yeah, the late, great John Witherspoon. Me and his son, JD. You were telling stories about you guys being kids together playing video games. Yeah, I've known him since single digits. That's wild, man. It's crazy. It's just crazy to know somebody for that long, especially with the loss of John. like you know jd has been somebody who i've been you know keeping you keep an eye on you know just checking making sure you know people in your life are all right and you know now we both got he's got his stand-up thing i know i'm doing the acting thing and it's uh it's just like an inevitable thing where we got to work together you know and i was so grateful for him for coming out my best friend from usc yeah now we go to the net you said different corners so you have your childhood and then you got i mean nate he sits next to me and i'm just sitting because i got there early so i'm in the road by myself yeah brother came over shucks my hand and i'm like you know that's what we do but then he's like oh i'm his oh yeah no i know how long you guys know together known each other oh we went to college together so there's that corner right right yeah just you know that and then uh uh uh jackie came with with frankie that you know that's my my child's mom yeah which and we i never met her and she's one of the people who came like up to me after she's like i saw you from across from him i want to say hi i'm like that's wild because we had never met i mean like other before so you know it was never it's rarely an opportunity so you know you know it was cool for her to come out i don't think she's it i don't think that it could have been any doper yeah and what i love though is like you know because i have friends who have you know babies mamas yeah babies daddies and you never know what the situation is.
23:31But I know for one thing, you've never said a bad word about her to me. No. And two, the way she was showing you love, like, yeah, we're not together, but this is my partner. Right. You know, we're in this forever together. And it was just really dope to see that because, you know, a lot of times, you know, these relationships get toxic. And I don't know what your relationship is, but like I said, I've never heard you say a bad word about her. She comes across as just a beautiful, gray woman. And just the way she talked about your relationship, your co-parenting, I thought was super dope that was awesome to see that you have that so that's a stress that you don't have in your life that i know so many other people hey it took some smoothing out well yeah we reached where we reached a a great place of just like our kid will never say my parents hated each other that's awesome like like never like she don't know what that that is like we just don't live in the same house together yeah like we might not be together but like it's still like team georgia you know and um that's beautiful brother yeah that's that's that's always been very important for us to display but like that's like one of the first times where me and her have been in the same room without our daughter and like here's like over 10 years um so it was uh you know appreciate her coming out and supporting and just you know being cool uh everybody mingling and you know she hadn't seen Nate in years and then you getting to meet JD and then Nate getting to meet JD.
25:03It was just like standing back. It was like, man, these... I would have never thought all these people would be in a room. I get that. And then there are other people we met like Anthony Bowen of AEW. I don't even know how he got like he was just there. And it seems like we don't go out at night a lot together, but the few times that we have, we always seem to run into Anthony Bowen. He's got to be WME. I don't know, but he's a cool cat, man. And, you know, like I said, you could catch him probably tonight on AEW. I'm sure he might have a match. But he was great. And also, coming up to us and smiling like she knew us, the great Awesome Kong.
25:42That was crazy. And Awesome Kong was there. And if you know, you know. Like Nia Jax, I think Awesome Kong was one of her dream matches. Yeah. You know, Awesome Kong, obviously, legend in the female wrestling world. and she came up and was just showing so much love. She called me Petty. She was like Petty Guerrero. So I was like, oh, you watch the pod? And she starts telling me a story. I posted something on my Instagram story that this past Saturday the 8th was 28 years, 1998. August the 8th, 1998, I made my first trip to Los Angeles. Caught on a plane, came out and visited. And I just randomly put this up because I had a day planner where I had it written.
26:20So I posted on Instagram, got a lot of nice feedback. But she's coming up to me talking to me about this. I'm like, wait a minute, how do you know this man she's like because i follow you and i'm like oh right i did just i just posted this so it was you know bowens it was great to see him it was great to meet awesome kong you know um dave you know i dave has come to the rich eyes and show a few times i reintroduced myself to him and like he was there with a hug his insanely great talented wife allison brie yeah i was a little nervous talking to her so i just didn't yeah i can't remember i don't think I've ever met Allison, but she was so sweet.
26:58She gave me, like, compliments that I needed to hear. Oh, word. You know? Actor to actor, that's dope. Yeah, so it was like, man. And then her and Kia, Awesome Kong, they had done Glow together. So to see them have a reunion where they saw each other and screamed and hugged, and that was, I mean, it was just, it wasn't a big venue. It wasn't a big setting, but it was awesome. It was great. And like I said, we'll get to the wrestling, but this kind of trumps the wrestling right now, man. So congratulations. Go see the movie. You're not going to be disappointed. And, you know, whenever I see these people, and I always get on you sometimes about fighting with people on Twitter, right?
27:32Yeah. But when I see these people that say, oh, you're just a Nepo baby and you haven't done anything, you haven't. No, this dude is opening movies, my friend. And we haven't talked about this on the pod, but the great Eric Braden who plays Victor Newman on Young and the Restless for years. He was on the Rich Eisen show a few weeks ago. Of course, his son is Christian. Yeah, Christian Gutegas, who wrote and directed Den of Thieves. Yeah, so I sent you a video, but I told you, in the background, Eric and I are talking, and he's like, O'Shea, he does great work. And I tried to downplay it a little bit.
28:03I'm like, hey, he's pretty good, right? And this man, Victor Newman, he looks me in my eyes. He goes, no, no, he's not pretty good. He's great. And I was like, oh, bet. And he told me that Christian's working on Den of Thieves 3. He said the script looks great. Oh, shit. So within the next year or so, because we know movies take forever. I'd say within probably the next, hopefully, 14, 16 months, you'll get that one going. That's why I'm drinking a gallon of water. But yeah, man. Piss my life away. But yeah, congrats, brother. Thank you, man. It was awesome. Yeah, I haven't been this proud of myself in a long time.
28:47That's dope. You know, and that's a got a little dark, right? But like, you know, like I'm hard on myself. I'm hard on myself because I haven't had a lot of people be hard on me. You know, I've been blessed with the life that I've been. I woke up to with the family that I woke up to. I've had a lot in my life pretty easy. So I am tougher on myself than anybody is. and it keeps me focused it keeps me i need to do that i i tried to that voice in my head to like we'll do it tomorrow he wins way too much so like i have to be the hardest on myself and i don't like re-watching or like once i see it at the premiere i saw it yeah yeah you know i go on to the next thing.
29:42I haven't been this proud of myself in a long time, you know? So I want everybody to enjoy it. Check me out, uh, August 28th. This episode is brought to you by Google Chrome. So just have a good time. And don't go see John Cena's movie. So let's do, let's talk about some wrath.
31:00Yeah, speaking of people being hard on themselves. Smackdown. What did I tell you last week? I said, what's Kevin Owens? became the number one contender. I said, he and CM Punk are going to get on the mic and it's going to get downright nasty. And it did. SmackDown happened. It opened up. You had Punk and Cody, right? And then obviously Punk is ready to call out Randy. He wants to know that the Punk, do you see what Randy did? And of course Punk didn't because he was outside of the ring when Randy came in at SummerSlam. So they broke off. So Cody's like, all right, I'm going to go check for Randy.
31:35and here comes Kevin Owens. And K.O. and CM Punk, I think it's safe to say, do not like each other for real. And this goes back to the famous podcast over a decade ago. I think this goes back to Kevin being friends with the Young Bucks, maybe. And so there just seemed to be some real-life hostility between Kevin Owens and CM Punk. It was kind of like, remember that promo that Eddie Kingston and Punk had in AEW where Eddie was basically like, nobody likes you, nobody wants you here? It wasn't quite that bad, but you can tell, man, they're taking real-life feelings and using it, and that's the beauty of wrestling.
32:20Is this a work or is this the shoot? Did these two clear this in the back, or did they just go out and go like, I'll see you out there. I'll see you out there, because I kind of feel like that's what happened. We're going to see. they're just going to tear each other up on the mic until they get into that ring and they're going to put on the banger I'm down for we get into these pockets of wrestling where a feud you got three weeks to hype it up PLE happens and then the other guy gets another story somewhere else I'm alright with getting two or three matches out of this this isn't going to be one and done I'm okay with a little real rivalry because lord knows we ate pretty good off that Drew Punk saga you know Kevin Owens don't take nothing laying down you know and so this is going to be very interesting if you look while they're doing their promo battle while the other one's talking They always try to laugh it off or whatever.
33:31Like, you're getting me a little bit. You know, you're hitting some soft spots. I didn't really notice that this time. I know where you're delicate. I know where you're delicate. So it's a lot of smirks trying to downplay each other. Talking off the mic, too. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So, boy, to be a fly on the wall, to be a fly on the wall. Man, so, yeah, that's going to be exciting coming up. So we got that to look forward to. And then we had Baron Corbin use the belt. He had a rematch with Trick Willie. Used the belt, hit Trick Willie, got the dubs. So, you know, we still got Baron Corbin. And we'll see what's up next for Trick.
34:06But Baron gets in the back, cuts a nice little promo. Who jumps him? Mamello, my man. Him. Himself. Yeah. So now we're going to get a Carmelo Hayes-Baron Corbin match for that U.S. title. We'll see how that goes. Excited to see that, by the way.
34:26just to go back to Punk and Kevin Owens because we're not gearing up for a PLE they're going to do it on a Smackdown in Toronto how do you feel about that like what does that make you as a fan and as the wrestling you know aficionado that you are what are your ears telling you what are your senses telling you not everything can be on a PLE right like Goldberg wins the title on a random what was that and the match gets announced on Monday and it happens on Thursday or it gets announced on Thursday, happens on Monday. Regardless, it was on a regular episode of wrestling, so there wasn't a PLE. Yeah, you need that sometimes, man.
35:06You got to make these Raws feel like they mean something, especially anytime you leave the country. And Toronto has just a major history with some great wrestlers and wrestling matches. I mean, they had Rock Hogan. Right? I was just watching Dark Side of the Ring with Mr. Wonderful Paul Orndorff, who he and Hulk Hogan, I think in 92, had a 60 ,000-seat arena was sold out to watch he and Hulk Hogan go at it in Toronto. So, yeah, I'm okay. I just don't know, man. KO, just coming back, are you taking the title off Punk? And also, just to speak to your randomness, CM Punk won the title that's on SmackDown on a random Raw in Chicago.
Read the full transcript
35:55Right? So, yeah. Here's the deal. I don't think that Charles Montgomery is losing that title anytime soon. Don't feel like he should. But the thing is, what do I know? What do we know? And would it surprise you if Kevin Owens won? Not really. So, yeah. It's interesting. And I'm interested. And that's what you want, right? Take us somewhere different. Keep you on your toes. keep us on their toes what else do we have? Fatal influence they defeated interim women's champion Chelsea Green and the women's United States champion Tiffany Stratton in the tag team match I need you to explain, I need somebody and you know me, I'm pretty easy when it comes to this, but there are things that happen things WWE does that makes me scratch my head and I do not get it they seem to love when they get a brand new champion and the next time we see them having them eat an L eat a pin why is Chelsea Green getting pinned in that match why not Tiffany this is your new interim women's champion and she takes the pin to essentially some rookies that's bad enough in itself but the worst thing now she's hurt and I have a hard time I've always had a hard time saying this word let me get it out orbital bone see I can't say it orbital bone See, it's one of those things that does, I consider myself a master of the language.
37:18Some words do not roll off my tongue. Bro, your mustache too big. Orbital bone, all right? Orbital. Yeah, I can't say that word, but I did it. But yeah, it's broken. Yeah. And now what happens? Is she going to have to give up the title? Does she risk it? Because now - Are we going to have an interim interim? Right? Because that's nothing to play around with. No. You bust that up, that could go up in your eye. That could really mess you up for the long run. And she, remember, was it her? I know Carmella for sure, but didn't Chelsea wear a mask for a while? She broke her nose. Yeah. So are we looking at another mask thing with her?
37:52Right. Or are we looking at this is maybe a little too severe? Yeah. Are you going to give her time to maybe, oh, the way you did with Rhea? Like, there's a lot of. Yeah, right. Are she about to pull a Liv Morgan and not really defend it? Or are they just going to take it from her? Yeah. it's like you don't want to suck the energy out of the whole title is now getting cursed whispers and that's how i felt about the uh orbital orbital uh the uh the red title when it was like the universal title when it was red i was like this thing is cursed like everybody who touches it yeah yeah finn gets hurt uh seth uh roman had to you know leave yeah like i was like bro i would not want this belt and uh i know i should have scratched with my left hand did you guys see that i went over like this what a lunatic you know how to act on camera yeah so i i think for her first of all for her to take the pin in my screenwriting mind i'm thinking like they were it they were building up of like well she's the interim champion and so like there were going to be a lot of opportunities where she doesn't feel like the champion until that moment.
39:10Like, there's a moment that, like, a build-up to something, but it also, maybe just shouldn't happen. Maybe just shouldn't happen. Maybe don't put them in a match against the tag team champions that just got the title. Also, what you said would have some creedins, except for the fact that they have a history of doing this. So it's not like it's just this one time. It's not like an isolated incident. That's just one thing I don't get. They're your champion, whether they're interim or not. You gotta make them appear that they could take on and take out anybody. You're a champion, right? Yeah. And so when you have them lose in matches, it just, I don't know, it kind of defeats the purpose.
39:45That's just my personal opinion. You know who did it? Michael Hayes. Right, man. You losing to nothing. And then we have, now, we are on record as being Bella Twin fans here. All right? Sorry. I'm a big Bella Twins fan going way back. Yeah. But there was a vignette with Nikki explaining why she turned on Paige. Now, like we said last week, I was hoping that maybe somebody would throw a challenge flag or something when it was obvious that Bree was hurt. Maybe not have the hill turn happen. Maybe put Nikki and Paige go against fatal influence. Maybe hold off on that. They didn't do it. So now you've got Nikki going after Paige.
40:26And, like, I just didn't like the reasoning. like Nikki let me just she said Paige lost the tag team titles and leeched off of her sister she did everything she could to get along with her but the loss at SummerSlam was the final straw she says it's because of Paige that her sister is hurt um here's the deal Paige didn't call Nikki Nikki called Paige right so you asked Paige to come and help you in a situation where yeah like if you don't have a replacement you're not going to get this match. And what happens? Didn't Paige get the one, two, three to win the belt? To win the title. So, I mean, that means Paige got a lot of rebuttal room in her promo.
41:10Yes, she does. She can come back. And, you know, even at SummerSlam, Nikki looked at the camera talking about, you know, you can't take my spot. Called me. Right? You called me to take your spot. I was chilling. Yeah. I was at the crib. I don't know, she live in LA. That's a crib, palm trees, loving life. You call me. So it's, yeah, there's a lot of holes. That's like when Arn Anderson called Kurt Heddingen and said, I'm not going to give you any spot in the Forestmen. Give you my spot. Yeah. And then what did Kurt do? And then what did Kurt do? He slammed Ric Flair's head into the steel. You can't.
41:47By the way, don't be giving people your spots no more, man. Because all they're going to do is either you're going to turn on them or they're going to turn on you. Yeah. That's all I'm saying. History repeats itself. There is a... Nah, I'm not going to say it. I'm not going to say it. But there's a dark instance of do not give up your spot. And it's a wrestling story. Anyway. I'll tell you afterwards. And then something else I love, because you know who my guy is. Shinsuke Nakamura. Yes. I love... If you watch this, you know I love Nakamura. Nakamura not seeing him for weeks at a time months at a time has just really frustrated me as a fan but he cuts this little vignette vignettes are coming back by the way which I love, which we love sometimes you gotta tell a story man, it don't hurt nothing yeah let me, it's like a little treat, a little appetizer yeah like a story oh yeah I am waiting for that I just saw them talking about you know the The Jericho Millennium Clock back in the day.
42:55It's like, oh, yeah, I am worried about that. It's like a little extra. Something extra. But Shinsky comes back. He cuts a promo. He's talking about the Haku being with the Tongans. And he's like, he's back. And this time, he's not going to be alone. He's starting a war. And he's no longer a one-man army. So who is Shinsky? That sounds pretty heavy. Evil. Evil. But what do we know? it could be could be Naruto I just said that because I knew I could laugh so do you remember the first time I actually said that to you and Jada Parker and I was like you guys laughed at me but yeah it's a great call back the reason I did that I watched that clip randomly this morning and I was like first of all that was rude because I didn't know about Naruto and One Piece and all this stuff One Piece is real which is one everybody knows but yeah you mentioned the name evil could it be Takahashi you know former member of Los Ingobernables Deja Pond he's been signed to WWE we don't know if he's going to NXT we don't know if he's coming to the main roster is it Finn there's some endless possibilities who Nakamura could bring I don't think Bad Luck Fale is coming though unfortunately you know why it pisses me off why Shay because that means if we would have just got one more year we could have had what I think is a top 10 tag team name ever uh the kings of strong style you're like AJ and Nakamura tagging up you came up with that name bro and I was like that's so good it has to be fattening it was amazing but and also i think about aj when it when we were talking about uh talking to him about shinsuke i can't remember if it was on camera off camera but he was like oh man you remember what he said he was like shinsuke is like hey my body you know like come on man but if he's gonna give us one more run i am down for it because Shinsuke, I feel like him and Finn, they hype me up so much for them.
45:19And Julia is about to weirdly be the third member of this. They hype me up so much. And then got them to the top of the mountain and then they just fumbled it. They just kind of disappear into the background. We'll see them here and there. But, like, I'll never forgive WWE for having Nakamura and Asuka lose at the same WrestleMania. Like, that was so crazy to me. Why did y 'all take me on this ride with them if you not going to put the confetti in the air for them? And then, like, Nakamura turns heel. And I was like, all right, this might be interesting. But then when Nakamura turned heel, they changed his song.
46:11Seth Turnhill Seth gets to keep his song What does Seth have to do with this? Because Seth is just the Davenport, Iowa, Shinsuke Nakamura What's wrong with that? Nothing, I'm just telling you what it is He got the song, he got the fits, he's a rock star That is Shinsuke And I just felt like I think it's the promos Like if you can't give me a clear promo I don't think WWE knows what to do I loved when they were doing the subtitle kind of like anime thing for nakamura for a while getting back to that because just let them get in their bag like if you don't know if you picked me up you signed me and you don't quite know what to do with me through your stuff let me do me that got this it's the reason why you you picked me you wanted me here so let me show you how to do me and then we can find a middle ground yeah so let's see what happens I'm sure I mean Naraku does make the most sense right he's finishing up in NXT unsuccessfully trying to take the title from our boy Tony D is he going to stay down there is he going to move up I don't know but I'm excited for give me all the Shinsuke Nakamura and he is one of those guys who like I have a list of people who like I'm still holding out hope to have that one feel good world title win you know we got it with Sammy we've got with other people throughout the years and man i'm just i know it's probably not gonna happen but i'm just hoping praying that nakamura gets that it gets that rub one day man it would be awesome but and then we also had charlotte defeated jade cargill now i'm gonna talk about this because of course the iwc is going nuts because they're they're getting on jade about these botches or something but you know i was going back and looking and someone popped the video up there was a move the move that charlotte or jade did to charlotte where jade kind of fell backwards this is exactly rhea ripley there's a video of her doing the exact same move and falling backwards the exact same way jade did and yet she didn't catch any of the static that jade caught i just wanted to point that out same move same person charlotte was in it but yet with Jade it's all like she's awful and terrible blah blah blah it's just like I don't know I feel like we're fighting a losing fight with these people 100 % and there's another one with the sister Abigail we were like that was a botch here's how I looked at it I looked at it as Jade trying to escape the move she got away Charlotte snatched her back and then did it and everyone was like oh she botched it I don't look at it as a botch I look at it like she found herself in the position she knew what was coming I'm gonna try to get out of this nope get back boom got hit with the move yeah and then you know uh i don't know man it's just they're really on her all the time so all the time and it's like what i said all the time sometimes yeah man you're right 100 of the time 60 of the time but it uh yeah uh wow the the discourse on jade cargill is just so nitpicky.
49:27Yeah, it's very weird. And it's different when you have, because I know, I don't know who you are, but I know you just fixed your lips to be like, oh, we can't, we were just supposed to just take on, like, bro, relax. It's different when you give praise when she does well. But you don't. You only come here to trash on her. that's like you're kind of a piece of shit so it is it's different when you when you want to give constructive criticism yeah i'm not allowed to criticize the product no but when they do when it does great when it does good when it does okay give praise it's just always negativity you're kind of a bully bro just saying don't be weird we here at no contest don't support bullying unless they deserve it.
50:20Unless they deserve it. And then we had the debut of Tatum Paxley. She shows up, and that was a pretty phenomenal way to make your main roster debut. She comes out. Lexa Bliss comes out. She's obviously still injured from the chair that Jade put her arm in. Lights go down. B-Chin and B-Fab are outside the ring, and then lights pop back up, and there's Tatum Paxley. I thought she was about to throw up that black stuff again. Oh, could you imagine? But her standing on the, you know, not the turnbuckle, but the ring post. And they had an amazing flying body press. You know, she had been quoted in interviews I've seen before that, like, Alexa Bliss was, like, her favorite who got her into wrestling.
51:04She was my favorite, too, man. So to see those two together makes sense. Yeah. Charlotte and Tatum together make no sense. I mean, Charlotte and that new version of Alexa barely made sense. So Charlotte and Tatum don't, I don't even get that. And that's not, I think they're here for a good time, not a long time. Because it doesn't, the Charlotte Flair character, why would she befriend Tatum Baxley? Right. You don't even fit the blonde scheme. Yeah, so we'll see. But big ups to Tatum. She's pretty dope. I'm a fan. Hopefully, you know, they let her cook. Oh, yeah, for sure.
51:41Definitely a fan. But yeah, so we'll see. that was just my thought. Like, I don't even know if these things go together, but we shall see. Ultimately, I think long-term fans are going to want to see, even though they're not on the same show, we want Lyra and Tatum back together. Man, I want Lyra and Tatum, I want Va 'Ker and Julia. Yeah. Come on, man. Give it to me. It's right there. You got chocolate, you got peanut butter. Yeah. Reese's. Put them together, man. Put them together. Come on. Right? All right, So that was a little SmackDown review. And then Raw. I had to go back and watch Raw because, like I said, we were busy.
52:19We were busy watching Idiots coming out. August 28th. There you go. August 28th is when Idiots comes out. Make sure you go see Idiots. I would say Jackson Jr., Dave Franco. Yeah. So finally, somehow Raw didn't get spoiled. And I was on my phone. But somehow I just luckily kept missing any Raw updates. So I got to watch it on Tuesday. Show starts out. we've got the announcers at the table all of a sudden we hear someone singing Jay Uso's music and it's solo it's just me Uso day one and then you got Solo how many months ago did I say you know what Solo's problem is he's too funny almost a year ago I told you this Solo he got him he's wrapped around his face he got him wrapped and then Jay comes out now Jay but here's the deal when you go back and watch it Jay's always trying to mean mug but at one point you're sitting there and you can see him fighting this smile so hard because that's his little brother yup got me he got when he said and not only is he got me he's got he's got them and I think that is where the smile comes in pride but he's got to fight off that smile and Jay as we know is not good like Jay will break he will break if he has to he is the worst he's not good at holding that back but he did a good job, kind of told Solo like look, this is your warning shot you're coming home, I'm going to have a match I beat you, you're coming back to the bloodline this is your warning shot, bow and then next thing you know is Solo's down there hiding, like this dude's too funny is everyone okay behind me?
53:56everybody alright back there? anybody get shot? so big ups to Solo man they're going to have a hard time holding him back they are playing a dangerous game because Solo got a little Dwayne in there it's a little Dwayne in there like so the rock used to like the things that we know all these superstars to do and what we expect to hear from them and what the crowd is ready to hear from he would make that shit sound so stupid when he would get on the mic like he would make you seem like the thing that we love the Undertaker for like rolling the head back and like all that or I am the gamer. I am Triple H.
54:45He would make the things that we love say oh yeah it is kind of stupid. Also, give him Rock props. Rock would get things over that were so stupid. Like let anyone else try to say, hey you take that belt, you shine it up, turn it sideways and shove it up your candy ass. No one else could have got that over. It's all in the set up. Shoving stuff up your Rudy Pooh candy butt. And that got over. And he got it over. Yep. It's all in the setup. He said, yeah, you like apples? I'm like, all right, well, I want you to take this apple. Shine it up real nice. And once you hear that, it's over. Turn it sideways.
55:22Because it's one thing to tell somebody to shove something up there. But then turn it sideways. Turn it sideways. It's so disrespectful. But solo. It's like Vinny Barbarino used to say, up your nose with a rubber hose back in the day on Welcome Back, Carter. but like if he would have said take the rubber hose and turn it sideways turn it sideways sideways is just gnarly that's so disrespectful but Solo got a little of that like he good he's good pure comedy he is good and now and I get to do it with my big brother right so we'll cut ahead they have a match Jimmy comes out he interferes Jay gets the win and now the Solo go back to the bloodline what are we doing here we can't we gonna have two sour pusses remember last week Roman was like, and where is Solo?
56:06He should be by my hip. He's talking like some prison stuff like he's pulling out his pocket. Oh, no. Oh, come on, man. You can't say that about Solo. He should be on my hip like, nah, bro. And then also, Jacob always calling me that. Why are you always calling me that? Calling him a dumb ass. With your dumb ass, Jacob. So he gets the win. Now, Solo, I guess, has got to go back to the bloodline. We'll see. I'm kind of interested to see where this is going. And that right there is while they get you. He said, I'm kind of going to be interested. It's going to be interesting to see. Because, like, yeah.
56:44First of all, Solo. Solo Dolo. Yeah, Solo's on Raw now. You got to be up here with us. You know? Just like that. And so now, when you look at it, just like that, this is the most powerful the bloodline has ever been. If Solo's back. Like, you replace Sammy. like think about old bloodline you replace sammy with jacob okay they are deep they are deep now so so the the story man the story has to be the payoff is going to be something big there's no way you're doing all this and it's and it's just you know there maybe it's a world where what we thought was going to happen when so remember back when solo had his team and then roman had the new bloodline and the old bloodline and everybody online was fantasy booking like oh man Rock's gonna Rock's gonna come and join the new like I don't know man I'm just looking at the tea leaves and if there's a chance there's a chance that's my bad there's a chance there's a chance and yeah you know the Rock about to start singing ah yeah what can't he do I'm a supporter no matter what.
58:02You can call me a glazer or whatever you want. Y 'all some haters. That was my favorite wrestler of all time. Politely, take your opinion. Shine it up real nice. Let him know. Shine it up real nice. Turn that sumbitch sideways and stick it straight up your candy ass. O'Shea Jackson Jr. What's next, bro? I'm glad because if I'd have done that and you didn't do it I'd have been kind of upset there that was a quick lob too and then you know in the tournament we have that tournament to see who's going to face Roman Reigns on September 14th episode of Raw in Mexico City we had Penta defeat the Laredo Kid I thought this was a great match the crowd did not pass the vibe check where were they again?
58:54they were in I don't know, somewhere in the Midwest. Yeah, who gives a shit, Bill? All right? Because, like, dog. They were just, I mean, at one point, Laredo, and I guess you are the hill because they're going to cheer Penta, but the fans were so solid, and these guys were just balling. Yeah. Penta and Laredo could put on a match, man, and Penta got the dub. He moves on in the tournament, and you can see the bracket here, the World Heavyweight Championship number one contenders tournament. got Psycho Clown and La Parka who somebody online said LA Knight should be LA Parka I was like oh okay that would be wild if he just jumped in there and La Parka got to the final because WCW used to be great at that putting someone else under a mask I can remember being a kid you know I'm a little bit older than you obviously but I can remember being a kid and watching NWA Wrestling back in the day and Tommy Wildfire Rich who I've mentioned many times he was in a storyline with Ted DiBiase before he became the Million Dollar Man and it was something like Tommy Rich lost I think a loser league town match all of a sudden a guy named Mr.
1:00:02R a mass wrestler named Mr. R comes hmm, Tommy Rich is gone, but Mr. R comes and Ted DiBiase is so upset this goes on for weeks, he finally gets a match, he's defending I believe the National Heavyweight Championship against Mr. R, finally after like weeks of trying to tell everybody it was Tommy Rich and then during the match All of a sudden, Tommy Ricks shows up at the podium with Gordon Soley, and Ted DiBiase's confused. He pulls off the mask. It's Brad Armstrong. He gets the one, two, three, and he wins. He becomes, I believe, the Georgia National Heavyweight Champion. You just know it's him the entire time.
1:00:37It's not. It's like Grande Americano turned out to be somebody random as hell. Titus O 'Neil. Yeah. Oh, it was Titus O 'Neil the whole time. How about that? So, yeah, the tournament, if we could bring that tournament back up, we have Penta moving on. He's moving on in the tournament. Don! If we could pull that back up real quick. Yeah, there we go. And then we have Dragon Lee. He's going to take on Dr. Wagner. Wow, could they put, like, a longer name? Oh, that's Dr. Wagner. We just leave it at that. Ray Phoenix, who I think is going to win that match. I think ultimately it's going to come down.
1:01:16I think we're going to see Phoenix and Penta, which everyone wants to see. That would be a great one-on-one match. And you know what? Because everyone wants to see it, Dragon League is going to be Phoenix for sure. You never know. But the winner does get that heavyweight title shot against the Tribal Chiefs. So, see, everyone's kind of thinking. We were just talking about tag teams that we want to see together. And didn't mention Lucha Bros. Lucha Bros. Come on, man. We'll see where that goes. But, yeah, like I said, the crowd was a little too dead for my liking in this match. Yeah. Didn't like it.
1:01:44Fury defeated Tozawa. By the way, Tozawa's been in the WWE for 10 years. I was reading that. Yep. He's found a way to hang on, man. I'm about to start looking up his matches before he got to WWE. Do you know why he got picked up at this point, bro? I'm like... Oh, he was... Tozawa was a beast. He was bigger. Yeah, he was a bigger dude back then. He lost a lot of weight. He lost weight. He had a little bit more of a power to him. He was a little bit more yoked. Yeah, then he lost weight. So Dragon Lee defeat Dirty Dom. And all I got to say is what is happening? This is no disrespect to Dragon Lee.
1:02:21They got to know what we're talking about. But this is Dirty Dom. Like, he, the other day we were talking about who are the pillars, the four pillars, and we forgot to mention Dom. Bro. Just that crowd response. But it's just like, you can't have Dom beat John Cena and then job him out. Like, he's the triple-ah champion. and I don't like what's going on with Dom. I don't think Dom likes what's going on with Dom. I mean, wasn't he just number one best wrestler? 30 under 30? Yeah. And he was over MJF on that list. Yeah. So a lot of people thought that was crazy. Yeah. I mean, rightfully so. So what are we doing?
1:03:01I mean, it could lead to maybe there's a world where this is them getting Dom frustrated with Judgment Day. You know, like there could be, there's a number of ways that they could kind of flip him being frustrated about the losses. Because like we supposed to have these numbers game and all I got is JD. Yeah. All I got is JD now, you know. Is it time to add somebody? Yeah. Yeah, or, like, you know, live. Like, you kind of came here and, like, you got, you know, you got the Powerpuff Girls over here with the hard R's. The hard R's. But, like, I'm shortchanged now. You know, I'm not winning now.
1:03:40Like, so there's a world there. Or. Or. I could just shut the hell up. He's losing. He's losing. It's just what's happening. There might not be a plan at all. We don't like it, though, is what I'm saying. I don't like it. I don't like it at all. Even though the Padres lose all the time. And then we had Sol Ruka and Io Sky defeated the Hardars, Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez. And, you know, match with it as you thought it would. A little outside interference, a little shenanigans. Sol hit a great Sol snatcher on Roxy to get the win. and I know I always look into this camera and I tell you all the time not worried about Roxanne.
1:04:20Roxanne's going to be fine. But at some point starting to get a little pissed off. Roxanne can't keep eating every pin. Yeah, man. I think I've seen her win three times. But to go back to what I said earlier, I'm shocked that they didn't make Raquel take the L because she's a brand new champion. Yeah. I still feel Roxanne's going to be fine. Yeah. but that man come on give me can I get 50-50 booking with her there has to be something that keeps you at the restaurant you know there has to be something that like you gotta send me some hope baby send me some hope because if I'm just watching it like remember when I couldn't remember the last Finn victory I'm having a hard time right now remembering the last Finn victory It beat Dom.
1:05:13Yeah. That's the last one I remember. It is. Like, it is. I don't know everything that goes into booking a wrestling show. And I recognize that as a fan and just enjoy the product. But I am also a podcast host. And I got questions. Yeah. We need answers. I got questions about everyone in the Judgment Day. it just got to the point where somebody besides Liv can win something so it's it's a delicate thing that they have to pay attention to because the Judgment Day at one point was the second biggest stable under Bloodline Staples Monday Night Raw they were on TV every week, they were holding gold, they still got gold I mean look, there's still two members still champions right now.
1:06:09They just got done with a Dan Housen saga. They gotta shake that off. Yeah, I mean, look. It's gotta get serious somewhere. I get the Dan Housens over with the kids and like I said last week. The best wrestling fan is the new wrestling fan. If you only know WWE through this new ESPN partnership, then the two biggest stars are Obafemi and Dan Housen. What a spectrum. That is crazy. Yep. You know what I mean? Yep. And then we didn't even talk about the fact let's get on the whole because we skipped i mean we kind of touched on tozawa in theory but the brawn breaker starting to like get that thousand yard stare yeah about obafemi i like where this is going gabby douglas don't like this shit i like where this is going man because now brawn is like wait a minute so you think and he's going everybody paul hayman And you think Obafemi's the face?
1:07:03Is he better than me? This kind of goes back to Entourage, right? Ooh, another Entourage reference. I'd like to pull that. Remember at one point, Vince went to Ari's office, and he said, Ari, do you think I'm a good actor? He goes, well, I didn't sign you because I thought you were a good actor. I signed you because I thought you were a movie star. And there is a difference, folks. There is a difference. Great actor and a movie star don't always go hand in hand. so it's kind of like Braun's asking Paul that so you think what do you think of me essentially and it's not the same but you can see the correlation there right he's going to someone he trusts someone he respects am I a good actor do you think he's the face over me and Paul's like until you show me that he's not so I like this Braun Breaker kind of like crash out that's happening He's the jealousy of Oba, you know, the jealousy of Simone.
1:08:01Oh, man, that's another. You know, luckily, Braun comes from a family that was in the business, and he, like, completely understands it. But if you pull that with a superstar who's not mentally mature enough to, like, you know, recognize that, like, oh, there's money to be made here. Yeah. All right. I don't know, but I'm pretty sure Braun Breaker gets it. Oh, 100%. He sees the vision. Yeah. We're looking at, like I said, he, Obafemi, Jacob Fautu. Those are some monsters that we want to see get along with. So, again, I'm interested, man. Yeah. I'm interested. They got you. Another thing I want to get on.
1:08:44Just another aside. People always talk about people not defending titles. Remember I brought this up before, that no one ever mentioned the fact that Penta was doing a great job representing that IC title and having matches. People don't really give props to the fact that R-Truth and Damian Priest are out there each week trying to do something with these tag team titles, you know, with the Viking Raiders, I don't know. War Raiders. I just remember they were War Machine and ROH and they were dope. Just to hear the crowd, war, war, war. Oh, that's so sick. But yeah, so, you know, we got those two tag teams now we have the Tongans they're in the mix maybe Nakamura with whoever he gets as a partner so yeah maybe these tag team titles that people want to throw you know in the back seat not really pay attention to maybe we should be giving these guys more props and putting a little bit more effort into these tag teams it's what it's one of those things like as a man you know to our lady listeners here's just a little tidbit into the man's psychology I everything that ladies do for makeup I don't like you know I don't see it until it's not there alright and that's when something's missing something's off she don't have her lashes in yet but like something's off and you can't tell what it is but like when it's the full product everything blends together so nicely that you don't even realize all the details that make it good and that's how i fill up the tag team i'm like these are these these teams they're they're entertaining superstars they know what they're doing in the ring why does it not feel like it felt when i remember the tag team division at its best why do i not see what am i missing from such and such that i had with the hardies with edge and christian with the dudleys like what am i not seeing where i cared as much as i did back then and they gotta they gotta put their finger on that button you know i when i think about the hardys and i think about like the dudleys and edge and christian both guys were interesting like like both sides of the team were interesting there wasn't like one that i felt like they should go solo yeah it was like they're both carrying a little bit and interesting storylines helps not trying to get on y 'all but I'm just I could just like not give a damn when I see the tag teams on and I don't get why yeah cause you like Priest you like Truth like I said I'm trying to give them props yeah but they're both are super you want to hear them both speak like you those are two dudes super interesting they play with each other well Truth always getting them in some stuff yeah chemistry is there The chemistry.
1:12:07Maybe that's, I don't know. Because then when I think about Fraxium, I love those guys. Oh, man. I need to call them. We got to play some games. I got to hit up AJ Styles. I said I was going to hit him up and talk about games. You know, he's got his own podcast he started. Yeah, we should just mob his shit. We guess now. He might be cool with it. Anyway, man. You know, I'm going to go off on a tandem. Yeah, tag teams. Tag teams need work. We'll see. But look, they're trying. There were years where they just took the tag teams and put them to the side, like I said, threw them in the back seat and didn't show them any love.
1:12:44So now at least we're getting something. Right. Can we put it on Kane and somebody random? By the way, back in the day, you know, Punk, I think it said something, either Truth or Priest, about he made a joke about maybe coming after the tag team titles. but back in the day like the early 2000 late 90 WWE that's what we would have got we would have got Punk and Cody would have on a random episode of Raw or Smackdown they would have won the tag team and then taken them into their match with like they're the co-tag team they're the tag team champions but now they got a one-on-one match yeah that happened all the time all the time I mean Bob Backlund and Pedro Morales Backlund was the world champion they beat the Samoans for the tag belts John Cena has done it with Batista Triple H and Stone Cold did it there's so many I can't even think of right now David Otunga and Cena were tag team champions at one point and then they had a match something that they traditionally used to do a lot so I was kind of shocked that if this was back in the day Punk and Cody would have been tag team champions that's just a weird aside that we...
1:13:58Yeah, bro. We don't have much for you, but you kicking it with the homies. It's a kicking it with the homies episode. And someone said that, many people said that in the comments. It's like sitting around with my boys, my friends just talking wrestling and that's what we wanted, right? So NXT, we'll move on to them real quick. We didn't have a chance to congratulate our guys, Miles Bourne and Tavion Heights, for winning the NXT tag team titles last week. Congrats to them. And they got to the locker room and they basically said any one of y 'all can get it. Whoever wants some can come get some.
1:14:34So now we got Miles with the two belts, Tavion, tag team champions. I'd love to see where they go. Ultimately, you know, I wouldn't mind seeing those two come up together in some type of new shield type of faction. Ooh. You know, I know they got, you know, maybe not. Maybe. I don't know. I always think about this. It would make, you know, like they doing it with Dark State kind of But, like, I don't know. Right now, I'm really down with Miles and Tavion. So we'll see where that goes. Grayson Waller, we didn't really talk about the pipe bomb that he dropped a couple weeks ago that got everybody in NXT in their feelings.
1:15:09They got everybody saying. Everybody saying. But, yeah, he had a match last night against Mike Santana, who is now known as Cruz Montana. Cruz Montana. I dig it. Cruz Montana, Mike Santana. Cruz, which was his dad's, I believe his dad's nickname. Okay. Cruz, Montana. Hey, I'm going to need to get used to it. I was mad that they changed Walter to Gunther, and now I love it. If what I'm reading is correct. But yeah, Cruz, Montana against Grayson Waller. And then we had, at the end of that match, we had a debut that we've been kind of waiting for for a while. Zilla fought two. Dun, dun, dun, dun.
1:15:56Dun, dun, dun, dun. Yeah, man. Zilla. Dun, dun, dun, dun. Yeah, Zilla Fatu made his, I guess, long-awaited, eagerly anticipated NXT debut. He kind of jumped in the ring during that match. By the way, that was a hell of a pop. Yeah. And it's going to be hard to ignore. Let's be honest. He's not going to get ignored. His last name's Fatu. Yeah. But I think that just proved the fans were ready. I saw a fan video where a fan, as they're recording, caught him sneaking through the back. And he's like, it's so hard. It's so hard. And he's screaming. It was kind of like I was watching Hard Knocks, the first episode.
1:16:34And these kids were trying to get autographs. And this one kid saw Jackson Smith and Jigba. And he's, I mean, it was kind of cool because he's probably like 11, 12 years old. And he sees JSN. And he's just jumping up and down, screaming, JSN, JSN. And that's how this guy was. It's so hard. So he already had the pop. I thought you were going to say that it was like a Godzilla movie. Because, oh, it's Zildo. It's Zildo. Yeah. Everyone knows Zillow Vatu. He's going to keep his name. They're going to make him change his name. It's too good to change. Because if you leave it Vatu, then you've got to instantly put him in that situation.
1:17:07If they change the name, it gives him a little bit more runway, right? But ultimately, we all know who he is. Just like Jacob. We know where it's going. so he's got to get down there, find out where the hard cam is, learn the WWE way. I don't see him probably being in NXT long, but people, like complete opposite of the Radio Kid Penta match, the NXT crowd was into Zilla. And Tony D standing there watching them, and he's, you know, of course he's going to have his eye on that title, probably on Grayson, probably on Cruz, probably on anybody. Will, you know, Real Rooks, is that his name now? Oh, yeah, right?
1:17:47No, Mason Rook. Mason Rook. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Mason Rook. I guess I should have known that. Hey, Will Rook. That reminds me. You know what words I can't say? What?
1:18:00Rivalry week. Rivalry week. That, go to hell. Like, them putting those words together and, like, trying to say it fast when I'm on live TV or something, I just try to not say it. I feel you. Rivalry week. stupid. Yeah, it was Will. Now it's Mason. Mason Will. So yeah, there's gonna be a lot of people for him to get busy with down there, man. So yeah, but Zilla's there. It was a great video of somebody recording his mom watching NXT. She didn't know he was debuting. And Mama Zilla lost. If you ever watch her, she's about that life. Oh, this. She'll be live streaming. Yeah, she's about that life, by the way.
1:18:39Yeah, bro. All of them. She's about that life. But her losing her mind to see her baby that was search that out look for it i mean the triple h didn't didn't make jacob change his name because you know jacob tells a story about like they give you the list of names or whatever and then he was like before uh i i asked triple h i was like what you know what it's gonna be my name he said oh jacob fatu yeah so like you might run into it but everybody know the writing is on the wall anyway man let me keep my shit and for people that don't know zilla is umaga's son yeah right and boy when he gets a screaming he looked just like so you got a couple guys who've been taking some of your dad's uh i know punk hates moveset yeah but it is what it is so we're gonna see that that flying simone spike that he does you know that's solo's move he don't jump and do it the way zilla does it you know uh some of the moves jacobs does has been come from umaga so So that might be, that's an interesting promo down the line for sure.
1:19:45Basically, if you are over the bloodline storyline, if you're over this whole thing, then you might as well find something else to do. Yeah, dog. But I will say this is the last one I know. Zillow's like the last piece of it. Well, his mom is holding the baby. That's somebody's baby. Roman got five kids. Jacob got, what, seven? I mean, like. Big Jim got one. Jay got two. One or two. Like, yeah, this bloodline storyline. it ain't ever going to. Can't stop. Won't stop. So like Ric Flair said, if you don't like it, learn to love it. Yeah. Imagine that. Think about what Ric Flair said. It wasn't like he was trying to comfort you.
1:20:24It wasn't like he was like, well, look, if you don't like this, then we'll go ahead and switch some stuff up. Ric Flair was like, if you don't like it, learn to love it because it's the best thing going to day. That would piss me off so much. That's like cry me a river. Build a bridge. real glass get over it real glass real glass oh man so yeah nxt things are popping down there things are popping on raw things are popping on smackdown and then i was gonna say something about nxt oh yeah and uh with nxt there has to be just to piggyback a little bit on what Grayson Waller said in his pipe bomb promo but he's absolutely right in saying that somebody has to step up and be the you know the one of the staples like I think that's Tony D though yeah like Tony is champ though like I need I need it's one thing to have who I am coined my best player to be doing what he's supposed to do.
1:21:34But if I can get them role players to be stars, then you got a product that is going crazy. And I'm saying all this to say that because I know what NXT is. I know it's developmental. I know they're finding their ways. But what I'm saying is we need to have some people for that John Cena Invitational. Right. Which is coming up. When you think about what that Saturday night's main event was man, Ruka. It was like these people are without a shadow of a doubt. They are next. And I need to see who's going to be that guy for the company to be like, nah, you need to be paying attention to this right here.
1:22:19Because when I saw Zilla come in and how that crowd sounded to him, he sounded like he sound like he's supposed to be top dog. Right? Yeah. Like, that's how the fans reacted. Yeah, so I'm, you know, just saying I'm just saying, if I was somebody on NXT, I'd be highly motivated that this dude just ran in here and blew the roof off the place. Yeah, but that's nothing that anyone can do anything about, right? No, but it's motivating. It's motivating, but like, yeah, you're not going to get that reaction because you're not him. But there are dogs down there, man. There are people that are hungry. Miles Bourne is hungry.
1:22:56Tabion Heights is hungry. Stand out. I mean, they got gold. You're standing out right now. Mason Rooks is hungry. Keanu Carver is hungry. I like that guy. I like his music. Well, he don't like you because he don't like nobody. You know what I mean? My man don't like nobody down there. He could be a problem. There's definitely some cats down there that Tristan Angels, a lot of people took umbrage with what Grayson said. Hashtag Umbridge. Umbridge. So yeah, that's going to hopefully, I think a fire is already lit under a lot of these cats. It's going to make them turn it up a little bit higher. Like I said, man.
1:23:35Turn it up. You got to step up now because people are coming from the top show now to kind of try to take your spine. You don't want that to happen. Yeah, man. And we need people on NCW. Yeah. Bring your ass. Come on now. Hashtag bring your ass. And then tonight, you know, we got AEW Dynamite. It's Wednesday. You know what that means. What I saw announced so far for their card, pretty interesting, for the number two spot in the AEW All-In Casino gauntlet match, Nick Wayne, shout out to Mother Wayne.
1:24:08That was some of the best timing on looking at the camera I've ever seen. Versus MJF versus Speedball Mike Bailey. That's going to be a triple threat. We got a TNT Championship match. You know what matches I always like with Speedball? I feel like him and Fletcher always put on a high-quality match together. It's never on a pay-per-view. Well, that's funny because you name two people who put on good matches just in general. Kyle Fletcher always going to be in a good match. Speedball Mike Bailey's always going to be in a good match. I enjoy watching them go at it, but it's never on a pay-per-view.
1:24:42Even better. Now I get it for free. Then we got the TNT Championship match. Kevin Knight's going to take on Chris Jericho tonight. Break the walls down.
1:24:57Now, if Kevin Knight don't win this, I will be physically ill. I will be physically ill because the – I'm not going to get into detail because respect to Chris Jericho. I will tell you how the hot girl is. You can't – I mean, Chris Jericho is a legend in the game. Yeah, bro. So I'm going to just be chill and say, go, Kevin Knight. Well, no, don't be chill. I mean, you can't really... You better not beat Kevin Knight. Well, I think Chris... And you know what? People gonna say I'm saying that because he black? That's a portion of it. But like that... Chris Jericho's at a point now where just his name is elevating people and he's doing great work since he's come back, you know?
1:25:36He and Ciampa put on some bangers. So I'm not gonna say that he's gonna win, but I feel like he's gonna help elevate Kevin Knight. And I think that's... I just think about that Ciampa match and like... that ending was not what I needed it to be, bro. I couldn't even tell why the ref was calling for the bell. It was a drill, man. He took the drill and all of a sudden was like, oh yeah, that was the match. Was that a stipulation? Did he tap? What happened? Chris Jericho wins. Shut up. All right, cool, bro. It's a little deeper than that, but we'll move on. Continental Cup Challenge first round match.
1:26:19Jungle Jack Perry against Jon Moxley. And then another first round match in that Continental Cup. Jon Moxley better win that, man. Jay White against David Finley. So son of fit. We'll see how that goes. Jay White, I heard that someone put out that he got hurt, and I hope that's not the case. Obviously, if he's got a match tonight, he must not be hurt. We need Jay White to stay healthy. Yeah, wasn't he? Did he just recently? He just came back, man. That's what I'm saying. And he was gone. I want to say it was over a year. so we need a healthy Jay White because wrestling is better when Jay White is healthy man so yeah that's some good stuff to look forward to in AEW tonight also I'm sure we'll see Willow and that'll be fun you know Mercedes will be there, Tecla will be there, Stat Daddy will be there, Sky Blue will be there you know we need Anna Jay there I'm just throwing out some names of people we like like the CNAW but yeah the Kyle Fletcher thing is My man is so good.
1:27:18He's a beast, dude. He's so good. He's a beast. Like, you know, I was really annoyed when he cut his hair. Yeah, I remember he did that. He wanted to separate himself from Osprey, right? But now he's got that Randy Orton 09 look. Then he got all tatted up, but he did it. I think he's more, like, and yes, I mean, the comparisons to Randy are there, but I think when he has, you know, his rock star shit on, he reminds me of Brad Pitt in the beginning of the third act of Fight Club where he randomly has a shaved head, them glasses and like the whole nine when he's outside the van and stuff that's who he reminds me of, that's what I think he embodies Brad Pitt in Fight Club in the third act so yeah that's good, touch a little AEW touch a little touch what I want touch a little AEW we touch a little Raw a little Smackdown a little NXT we touch a lot of idiots you know which is coming out you know I don't know man I'm excited it's gonna be a good week of wrestling I feel I'm looking forward to Smackdown to see where everything's going there yeah man who knows we don't know that's one thing we never I know who knows Bo Jackson is there something that you're looking forward to after all the things we talked about is there a feud is there a match just something that we spoke about that you're like i can't wait to see because i said i'm looking forward to smackdown what are you looking forward to man you know me man oh baby i like it raw Sorry.
1:29:01But I want to see Solo and Jay and Jacob all forced to mingle in this bloodline. Jimmy and Roman have kind of been in the background, kind of been out of it, the old dogs of the crew. but honestly that might not be a bad spot to put jim yet but either way i i know there's gonna be some gold in that television right there you finally got all three brothers back together and now with jacob it is a you got jacob and jay their feud that they've done jacob in solo what they got going on from the new bloodline I love you Solo and then Solo and Jay just finished scrapping and going back and forth so like there's tension all through that little triangle right there and that makes for interesting television and I'm excited for it I gotta say this on like a real note you know we like to think of people that watch us as friends and family.
1:30:21If you've got some problems, come to us. I just want to read this. We got a DM in our inbox from a brother named Jason Perard. I don't want to read the whole thing, but basically he reached out, said he's a big fan of the show, what we do in the wrestling world. Jason just kind of, you know, he admitted to me that he's kind of going through it right now. Life kind of has beaten him down. He's going through some stuff. and, you know, he's just like, I'm going through it. I'm struggling. I'm all alone. I don't know what to do. Please just give me a shout out, man. I need it. So to Jason, man, whatever you're going through, brother, just hold it.
1:31:01Hang in there, dog, because everything tends to get better, right? Sometimes we get tested. We get taken to our lowest of lows before we ultimately see the bigger picture in things. The light at the end of the tunnel. The light at the end of the tunnel. So, Jason, whatever you're going through, brother, you know, we wish you the best for sending you love from us. And just hang in there, dog. You know, it'll get better. I'd love to say I can promise you that. I can't. But I hope it does, and I hope things turn around for you, man. And just know if you don't think you have any friends, you most certainly got two right here with us, man.
1:31:37So keep your head up, dog. Jason, whatever it is, man, this too shall pass. It is a storm, you know? That's all I can give you to visualize whatever's happening. This too shall pass. It's just about you, weathering the storm, honkering down, and there's so much life and things and wrestling that we don't want you to miss out on. We can't not have you. So I will say something that I tell myself and my close friends whenever they're going through a storm. Life's a bitch. Life is tough. But that bitch not tougher than you, dog. So like lock in, baby. We'll be here. Make sure you there too. Shout out to Jason.
1:32:32No doubt, Jay. Well, I think that's about it. I just wanted to make sure I got that out, man. because if, I mean, look, if someone's going to come to us with something like this, like, that kind of means a lot, man, because somebody sees something in us that they want to reach out and tap in with us, and maybe a word from us will help get them through the day. To me, that sounds wild because it's just I'm looking at, like, who am I? But, like, yeah, man, if that gets you through this day, man, I'll say hello every day to get you through a day. Yeah, man. And anyone else out there going through it, you know what I'm saying?
1:33:10Everything we said to him applies to you, too. Absolutely, man. Now, I know where I'm going, but TJ, can you tell them where to find us? Oh, yeah. So, two, catch up with us. 1:34:32Hey, it's Ryan Reynolds here for Mint Mobile. Now, I was looking for fun ways to tell you that Mint's offer of unlimited premium wireless for$15 a month is back. So I thought it would be fun if we made$15 bills. But it turns out that's very illegal. So there goes my big idea for the commercial. Give it a try at mintmobile.com slash switch. Upfront payment of$45 for three months,$90 for six months, or$180 for 12-month plan required. $15 per month equivalent. Taxes and fees extra. Initial plan term only. Greater than 50 gigabytes may slow when network is busy. See terms.
