0:31To another Monday episode of the No Contest Wrestling Podcast. I'm the heel that you love to hate, O'Shea Jackson Jr., a.k.a. Petty Guerrero. Hey, yo, it's me, it's me. It's the T-double-O, the J-I-double-G, 2-G, T.J. Jefferson. And we're all the way live right now, G. Yeah, and I got one question, T.J. What's that? how do i say goodbye see what what trying to get trying to get this video flagged already all i said was how do i say goodbye i didn't finish the song therefore it is not copyright for those of you that don't know we had a super early episode of monday night raw about seven hours ago it went off and uh the big thing is um the vision is very the vision has cataracts right now.
1:26The Vision has cataracts because this just in and I don't want to ruin it for you if you haven't seen it yet. So if you haven't turned down this podcast for about 30 seconds, but Braun Breaker, Bronson Reed and Paul Heyman, they've turned on Seth Rollins. They turned on him.
1:51Yes. Yes. I knew it. I knew it. I mean, we all knew it. I'm not going to act like I'm some sort of Nostradamus. We know wrestling. Friends don't stay together. No. But this fast. This was quick. This was a little quick, wasn't it? The vision. Can you see now? What is happening? Now. The vision got irate. Bro, it's all over the place right now, bro. And I'm so happy. You are such a hater, man. I'm so happy. The hate is so strong in you. I love this for me. Even all of my goodness, and I like to, you know, just put out, spread love. It's the Brooklyn way. You know what I'm saying? But your hate, it's like the human torch and ice man going at it.
2:37And, like, I'm trying to put up this barrier, but you keep coming with the heat and trying to melt all the ice. It's so good because, Lord, do we need a shakeup. You know me? I love me some Monday Night Raw, but I have had enough of Monday Night Raw ending the same way. Over and over and over. Nobody can get a good time. Monday Night Raw never has a good ending. Not as far as like, oh, that was a poor performance or anything like that. There are just no happy endings. I finally, finally got my happy ending. And now we got us a shake up, brother. It's shooken up. I mean, I'm great. You seem healthy.
3:27But, man, the vision is shooken up. Yeah, man. The vision got pink eye, right?
3:37It's like somebody did something on a pillow and they slept on it. Look, man, again, we know it's coming. But this seems kind of quick. To me, at least. Yeah, and it was, there were subtle hints. Oh, yeah. Subtle hints. Very subtle hints. You get Seth not listening to Paul Heyman, not taking, you know, not treating him as a wise man. Or an equal. Yeah, yeah. So, you know, we had the situation a while back of him jumping in the rain to attack Cody after Heyman told him not to, and then Heyman holding the dogs back a little bit, let him do his thing. This is what he wanted to do. And then, of course, before Crown Jewel, him telling them what it would mean if he lost to Cody.
4:22And so we were like, OK, we're starting to get the seeds. I had never seen a tree blossom so fast. It was insane. And of course, the Australian crowd, which is always a good crowd, whether it be an Ice Cube concert or a WWE event, because Australia gets down. Aussie, Aussie, Aussie. But yeah, they erupted. and you know you there's a kind of a as a wrestling fan there's a bit of a safe space that you feel when you see the credits start to go and the credits started to go thought it's the same old monday night raw ending but then brawn breaker decided to brawn break the internet yeah and seth rollins as well and it started at the top of the show when they first came out and seth was you know kind of you know basking in the glory look we're gonna get to this soon he he wins crown jewel.
5:11He's got that ring. He's got the belt. He's saying he didn't need the men in the ring. They didn't need him, but they came together. The whole time, you're looking at Braun Breaker, and he's just kind of scratching his head like, hmm. You kind of could tell if you just looked at him, something wasn't right. Yeah, something's a brewing. Something's a brewing, and it happened. He spears Seth Rollins, walks up to Bronson, and is like, look, bro, are you with me? I mean, you can go see where he at. But you and me are nah. Bronson Reed, hometown hero. I got to get this pop, baby. So he hits the tsunami on Seth.
5:54Drog him over to the corner and hit him with the. Yeah, exactly. So and then started to look at Heyman. How was Heyman reacting to this? Because at first he looked shook a little. He looked a little shook. And then he was like, you know what? it's time for the greatest law firm the world has ever seen Braun and Bronson raise their hands in triumph and now you said it when we were watching earlier you said Seth still got the title yeah I mean he gotta come back to work for sure and it's just there's so many questions now does he regroup does he regroup and get somebody to go against this new wave and in the time that you've created the vision and now the vision has kicked you out a la Edge with the Judgment Day classic case damage control it makes me wonder did you make too many enemies on your way to make this vision where when it is time for you to regroup does everybody look at you sideways just like nah you was just popping cash money just a second ago so you're put into a bit of a microcosm and a microwave version of what Roman had to go through after the bloodline was done.
7:10Who you gonna go to, bro? You ain't got nobody. Nobody, baby. Ain't got no home. Ain't got no home. It's gonna be interesting. Is he really hurt? There were reports. I believe you said something about an arm and a sling. Yeah, I took a picture with fans and they said all the entire weekend while he was in Australia, he was in a sling. So it makes you wonder about some little glimpses we might have seen during the match with Cody. And so you also put yourself in a weird position of the boy who cried wolf. Yeah, no one's going to buy this. Yep. I know the rich eyes are so bad. Look, I can only take the man at his word.
7:56You understand what I'm saying? If the man says to me, TJ. That's your boy. You didn't text him. I'll text him. Kobe, you all right? You ain't hit him up. This just happened, man. I just found out about this about an hour ago. Something happened to you. I'm hitting you immediately. All right? That's your friend. He's on the plane, bro. He ain't got Wi-Fi. There's no Wi-Fi in the international fight, I don't think. At least not where I fly. But, you know, I ain't in them lay-down seats either. I don't know what them people got. You not in the lay-down seats? I ain't got it like that. You're a giant.
8:29You got to treat yourself. Speaking of lay-down seats, you know the rich eyes? show just as not for nothing. We're heading to London this week, man. What? Yeah, Wednesday after the show, we're going to be doing our show there Thursday and Friday. So I'll be, you know, stepping around London town looking for some fish and chips. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Maybe find Turkish and the guys from Snatch. Okay. Maybe see a couple of Pykeys, you know. I need a caravan for my mom. We can't put subtitles for the listeners, bro. Oh, you can't say caravan? I don't know. Listen, bro. But I'll tell you one thing. Pack you some Lowry seasonings.
9:12I'm telling you, they go make fun of you. They go crack their jokes until they knock on your door and ask for that seasonings. So, hey, TJ, let me hold some of that. She's saying the food's a little bland? I found out that a lot of places in Europe season the food after it's cooked. And that's not how you do it. Oh, wow. Okay. But anyway. Anyway, that's neither here. That's neither here nor there. Yeah, man. So the vision. Now, do the bronze and Heyman, do they keep the name of the vision? Is that Seth's name? I mean, there's a lot of questions that are going to need to be answered. And also, Braun Breger held up that title at the end.
9:49Like it was his. Yeah, held up that title at the end. So are we putting it into a position where it's vacated? and what's really being lost in the sauce of all this is CM Punk is the number one contender again, folks. Yeah, let's talk about that. He won the, what is it, Triple Threat? Triple Threat against JNLA Knight, the three-headed monster that just can't get along even though they got the same goal. Right. And my goodness, CM Punk, Phil Brooks, number one contender, and then you get this malarkey? These shenanigans? Malarkey and shenanigans. Come on, dog. That's a great way to describe it.
10:22I am in a lovely position where I don't know what direction they're going. And in a good way. Yeah, for sure. In a great way. Shake it up, baby. Levesque, you on one again, man. And I love it. Yeah, people are complaining for a little bit. Yeah. We'll see. Listen, you can complain a little bit. We get on the IWC a lot. But my dad always taught me the squeaky wheel get the oil. So you got to speak up a little bit. The people have spoken and the shakeup is happening. It looks like it. So we got CM Punk, Cookie Monster Punk, Chip Magnet Punk, Charles Montgomery Punk. Yep. Number one contender, him and Seth.
11:03And how's that going to play out? Because, you know, Punk don't care that the vision got pink eye. It's not a concern of CM Punk. He got one mission. He got one goal is to get that. The goal is to get the gold back. Get it back. Because he did get it. So to get it back is his goal. And it definitely will help Punk because now he doesn't. Oh, wait a second. Uh-oh. What if? What if this is just a ruse, man? Listen, I. What if this is just a ruse to make Punk think like, oh, because we've seen this before too. You got to take, you know, some friendly fire. But now people think that Seth Dolo solo, and then he gets that match.
11:43And the next thing you know, I mean. I hate this segment of our show. just a little creative liberty is all i'm saying toxic i'm not trying to be though that's true that's true you're not trying to be you just do it effortlessly but yeah um punk gotta watch his back jay and la night plus the vision punk has to watch his back right so much right now he got one friend yeah like and that's his wife his wife like he's just trying to kick it man i get it he just want to work but now once again he's in the mix we don't know what's going on with this this shoulder of Seth Rollins if it's a situation where he vacates the title and we get honk versus brawn for the belt would just make me throw up in my mouth as I see because you got to make a choice you gotta make a choice man is it your guy you're friends with that you take to your movie premieres or is it the guy who was the first person we saw at Wrestlepalooza who you know welcomed us with wide open big Bronny Steiner arms.
12:45Listen, man, all I know is I love Pepsi. That is true. I love Pepsi, man. I'm not a Coke fan. That's my boy. That's my boy, dude. That's a tough mountain to climb because we see the Rocket possibly being strapped to Bron Breaker's back and in a huge way. Now we get to really see what the dog has in store, bro. Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh. And here's the thing. You know, a lot of people always talk about the Samoan connection and how many of them are on the pipeline. Just know there's another Steiner. Oh, man. Who's on his way after football season. Unless, you know, he blows up and takes his talents to the league, which personally I hope that for him.
13:30But Mr. Brock, I see you out there following our Instagram. And, you know, we kind of DM every now and then. I'm just saying. and he ain't alone in the Steinerdom. There's a few others that could be potentially following that path, man. So it ain't going to be nothing nice for nobody if that starts to happen. It's just so many. Got to love. Nepo babies. Love me a Nepo baby, baby. I'm saying. Love me a Nepo baby, dog. Nepo babies take a lot of crap, right? But I'm telling you what, especially in the world of professional wrestling, Nepo babies are super necessary, right? Because there you have a collection of people who truly understand what the business is.
14:14They truly have eaten because of the business. They truly have slept in warm beds and had hot meals because of the business. So therefore, they kind of have it in their blood. They kind of know the direction that things should take. And they know the way the business should operate. So hey, man. God bless them. Hey, I've said it once. I've said it a thousand times. Nipple baby's up by a billion. I suggest it for everybody. That was Shea Jackson Jr. His name is Shea Jackson. He approves that message. I mean, that was the biggest news of Raw. Obviously, there's the matches and things like that. Biggest news, but we also had Dirty Dom.
14:57Come on, our boy Dirty Dominant Mysterio. The wrestling IQ. If you haven't seen it, I don't want to tell you what Dom does, but he pulls some real, his real dad, Eddie Guerrero type ish in this match against Penta. So yeah, just check that out. Make sure Dirty Dom, you know, he's doing his thing. He's the greatest Mysterio of all time. He's the greatest luchador of all time. He's the greatest mullet of all time. He's the greatest mustache of all time. He has the best tattoos of all time. I'm a Burt Reynolds, Tom Selleck fan. That is true. But I mean, you're going to tell Dom they have a better mustache than him?
15:34In wrestling, he got the best. All right. Well, I'm just saying. If he was here, would you say, Dom, you ain't got the best. No, no, no. You're going to respect Burt.
15:44So let's respect that. And then we had, you know, Asuka. I've always said they'll never make me boo Asuka, right? They'll never make me go against her. But they're doing their best to really pull on my heartstrings. First, you got her making EO cry. You know I feel about that. EO! EO! And now you see Kyrie. and Kyrie gets five fingers to the face from Asuka after her match with Rhea, continuing to see where this is going. Asuka's a bully. Asuka's a bully. But guess what? You can't do nothing. What you gonna do about it? You can't beat her. So what you gonna do? And then we had, man, let me tell you, we had a little face-to-face back and forth.
16:27I'll walk off this set right now. And it was the new women's champion. The crown jewel champion, Stephanie Bacare, La Primera, the devil's kiss. And she's talking her talk as she should because she's had an historic run this last few months. But then out comes the judgment day. Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne, by God, Perez. And they come out and Roxanne kind of gets up in her face and was like, basically, everything you got should have been mine. I'm the last one to beat EO. That means I should have been at Wrestlepalooza, which means I would have won that women's championship. and then I should have the women's crown jewel belt.
17:02So, and Stephanie's telling her, basically, if you want some, come get some more or less. If you want some, come get some. So it's going to be interesting. But Roxanne being, you know, the young veteran that she is, you know, she's another one young, but been in the game for years. She said, on my time. On my time when I'm ready. And I love it. I love it. That Judgment Day, man, that has been, like, after the new day, both days. But after the New Day Judgment Day. Can we be no contest day? We need that. I mean, Rusev Day came back. But yeah, Judgment Day just been the most consistent, stable in the WWE.
17:42Now they got their women tandem of Raquel and Roxanne. Roxanne, Roxanne. I'm not going to say the tag team name that you tried to coin for them. I'll say it. I don't care. The hard R's. Roxanne, Raquel. The hard R's. It's the only time we ever use hard R's here. Okay. We usually go A. Never go hard R's. The hard R's. That can't catch on, please. That can't catch on, bro. Rocks in. Rocks in. I get you, bro. It's hard, bro. We get, yeah. That's crazy. Anyway, so yeah. The hard R's. Yeah, they're, anytime they're on TV, obviously, DJ's paying attention. But you're going to get Stephanie Viqueiro.
18:30She's no joke. No laughing matter. No. If there's a game, it wouldn't be Stephanie. Yeah. It's not a game. She don't do it for fun. But Roxanne knows her way around that square circle. And that will be a very interesting little feud brewing right then and there. Looking forward to that. And all the feuds that are going to come with Stephanie as champion. Because she's, I don't see her giving this title up for a long time. Yeah. No, no, no. Strap in, get comfortable. Because this is going to be a run by Miss Viqueiro. as we predicted a few months ago here. Yeah. No contest wrestling podcast. All right.
19:02What else went down? What else went down? I mean, that was the big stuff from Raw. I do. You know, speaking of tag team names, I saw that next week, the Judgment Day will be putting up their tag team titles against AJ Lee.
19:18AJ Lee? So AJ Styles and Dragon Lee? Yep. AJ Styles and Dragon Lee will be going for the tag team titles. and it said AJ Lee because it was AJ slash Lee and I was like, okay, that's hilarious. That's interesting. So shout out to AJ Lee, the men's tag team. Let's talk about this weekend, man. It was early. It was early. We're talking 5 a.m. on the Pacific side of things. Crown Jewel Perth. Specifically Pacific. Specifically. Yeah. SP. Specifically Pacific time. Say that five times. You can't. let's just talk about the big thing cause John Cena defeated AJ Styles in a match that we don't give stars here but I gotta make an exception we gotta give it all the stars we gotta give this match you a few minutes ago said the squeaky wheel gets the grease and sometimes they gotta listen and what a perfect way to lead up to this, Shay, because the people spoke.
20:27The people spoke. The office listened and they gave us AJ versus Cena one last time. And let me tell you, these men, they did not disappoint, man. It started with AJ coming back in his old TNA shorts gear. You've never seen him in shorts in WWE. Not those hamstrings. No. And by the way, I will say this too. AJ is, I haven't made this list. I made it years ago, but I have to update He's definitely in my top five ring gear. Like AJ's gear is always with the gloves matching the different tights. I'm still thinking about that low rider gear he had when he faced Dom. Yes. Come on now. So yeah, his gear is always on point.
21:11But we've never seen the biker short AJ Styles, you know, from the TNA days. So that was cool to kind of see him come out like that. to have John come out one last time in Australia and have the fans kind of lose their mind. To see our boy Stu. Let's go to work, Stu. He had one last chop it up with Stu in Perth before he made his run to the ring. And real quick, something I've noticed. You know, John always comes out with a towel, right? Normally, he was always throwing the towels to the crowd. Lately, the last few months, I've noticed he shows the towel and drops it. So I'm wondering if that's something like he's collecting these towels, maybe donating them.
21:51I can see him maybe donating them and maybe auctioning them off for charity because that seems like a very John Cena thing to do. But if you notice and you pay it, by the way, if you haven't noticed by now, you ain't got much time left to notice. But he holds the towel up, he'll tell Stu, let's go to work, and then instead of throwing in the crowd, he drops him. So I just kind of wonder why that is and if there is a reason for him to. We'd love to ask you, John. Or we'd love to ask Stu, either one. But John, more specifically. I love to ask you, John. But yeah, this match was, first of all, you had the introduction that John wrote for AJ Styles.
22:26I was just about to say that because you said when you were bringing up him donating the towels, you said that's a very John Cena thing to do. And that right there, a very John Cena thing to do, is why he has made such an impact on so many people in the ring, out of the ring, and in the crowd. because that is a class act right there. He gave, because we know AJ's pretty much come out and said next year is his last run. And John really gave him his flowers. He wrote an intro for him that you could tell AJ didn't even know what was coming. Bullet Club mentioned. You know, TNA, the Bullet Club, you know, like everything he said was just, it was on point and it was very fitting of AJ Styles, for AJ Styles, man.
23:15And so that right off the bat just kind of got you kind of going. Where we, bro, I'm not crying. No. Somebody cutting onions in here. I'm going to tell you, and I'm going to be very honest with you, though. As we get to it, there was a point in this match that I paused. Yes, sir. Let's talk about this match, to me, was an old love letter to professional wrestling. Right. I think it's the best way to describe it. Very few people have kind of said they didn't like the match because of all the kickouts. Look, man, if that is your takeaway from this, then you're just someone who's going to complain about anything, man.
23:56Because what these guys did, like I said, a love letter to the business that made them rich and famous. a love letter to the fans, a love letter to two extraordinary, unbelievable careers. And the fact that all of the nods that they gave to the various wrestlers that they crossed paths with in these careers. It was, it was, it was amazing, man. It really was. This was, I don't know if this was John Cena's best match. I know it wasn't AJ Styles best match, but on one hand man it kind of was their best batch they ever had it was it's like it felt like you're watching um you know somebody in concert and the dj is mixing in all the hits and just another one just mixing another one you know just one verse per thing just you know just hitting you with a medley of all the artists greatest hits or it's you you go to watch a a band play.
25:03And then all of a sudden they just start playing the covers, cover songs of the greatest bands. And that's what this, this, this really felt like that. And I made a list of all of the nods, all of the moves that they use. And I think I got them all and I'll go through them really quickly. This isn't an order or anything, but what John Cena and AJ styles did, like I said, they, they, they paid tribute to some of the performers that helped make them the stars that they are so we had uh cena using the mrs skull crushing finale on yeah he used rusev's accolade the camel clutch uh they broke out the walls of jericho chris jericho and people went nuts for that uh and then john using and i talked about the point about getting choked up john using the sister abigail bray wyatt's finisher and him locking aj into the crowd knew it was coming and then he put some extra on it.
26:04Hell yeah. I was like, Bray should have done it like that. And then the fireflies come out. Everybody turns their - Kudos to the Australian crowd. Yeah, they understood the assignment, man, and they turned the lights on on their phones, man, and it was just like, Cena took a minute, and he paused, and he looked around, and you could see him soaking it all in. And I got a little choked up, man, because I'm, you know, I've said this before. We talked about Nepo babies, how they're necessary in wrestling. And when you talk about Bray Wyatt, you have to talk about as a kid, one of the first things I remember as a little kid watching his grandfather, the late, great Blackjack Mulligan, put a claw hold on a man on WWF TV.
26:52And he literally squeezed his head so much that his head bursted open and he had to put a big red X on the screen. I saw this as a kid. And I'm like, he just, he squeezed this man's head out and popped this man's head. Like, you know, and then you go into his dad, Mike Rotundo, IRS, his uncle, who is one of my favorite wrestlers of all time, as is Mike Rotundo, but Barry Windham, to me, one of the most underrated wrestlers of all time, his dad and his uncle. And then, you know, his brother, of course, Bo Dallas, Uncle Husky now, or not Uncle Husky, Uncle Howdy, I'm sorry. I'm still in the Husky Harris thing because I was a huge Husky Harris fan when he came to NXT and I realized, oh, this is Mike Rotundo's kid.
27:33This is Blackjack's grandson. I was all in on Husky Harris. And then when that didn't work and he became the Bray Wyatt character and then, you know, going up to The Fiend, I was always all in on Bray Wyatt. So, yeah, I got a little, I felt it, man. And you could tell Cena felt it. Yeah, so that was, shout out to that Australian crowd for showing props. Yeah, it was a beautiful moment. I thought he was going for a rock bottom. When he caught him, I was like, oh, Sister Abigail. And being the professional that he is, he made sure it was locked in long enough. So you saw it. Hard cam got it, handled it perfectly.

28:12Kiss on the forehead. And then when John got up and he saw that Perth crowd, put the fireflies out. Whoever the first phone was that was up, because I know you're somewhere like that. but like the way to understand the assignment what a beautiful moment that we didn't know that we all needed to see yeah and it was just cool man like there's no way around it shout out to jojo because i'm sure she's seen it yeah at least a hundred times more and like it's um man john what a beautiful bit of class once again. Absolutely. And that is what we are looking for these last couple of dates. And I'm perfectly fine with that.
28:59That's exciting to see because John Cena has gone up against all of them. All of them. Taker got a shout out. And to continue, we had the second rope, the DDT and RKO. Shout out to Randall K. Randy Orton. The Choke Slam. That could be Big Show, Undertaker, or Kane. He won his first ever title. By beating Big Show, if you recall, for the United States Championship of WrestleMania. Which is the John Cena title in my eye. There you go. The Tombstone Piledriver. Obviously, the nod to the taker. And then with AJ, he did Sting's Scorpion Death Drop. The Coquina Clutch. Samoa Joe's Coquina Clutch. Christopher Daniels' Angel Rings.
29:38He picks him up and drops him on his head. Frankie Kazarian's fade to black. where he's on his back and he just drops him on his head. We got some sweet chin music slash his super kick, which, of course, Shawn Michaels, but also Cowboy James Storm used the super kick in TNA. It's actually he won the TNA world title beating Kurt Angle using the super kick. So, yeah, man, just the nod that they gave to all these guys. We almost got to six on nine. Yeah. The crowd was bumping for that. It was just fun, man. And this was a fun wrestling match. And, you know, of course, there were haters I saw in some comments were like, oh, you'll forget about it.
30:20Nah, this is one of those matches, Joe, where I feel like we're going to remember this for a long time. Yeah, and it's how a match like that should have went. There were moments during, I forget what it was, but you got that perf crowd chanting for certain people that they want back. especially after the show. That's what I'm saying. So, you know, Leveque, I know he's thinking. I know the gears are turning. I, for the first time during this run, am very excited to see the next couple of John Cena matches. Well, that's it. You only got it four, man. And I put this on Twitter, and I said, obviously, like, this isn't going to happen.
31:03But if I'm John Cena, that's a wrap. because I don't know how you top what he and AJ Styles did in Australia, Crown Jewel, man. I don't know how you can go out on a higher note than what those guys did on Saturday. Is that the last PL? No, he's got Survivor Series here in San Diego. And then Saturday Night Main Event, that's it. Four. You got four opportunities left. And if you haven't, over this 20-plus years, seen John Cena in person at least once, you missed out. But yeah, man, this is it. Now the end is near, as Frank Sinatra once said, man. Listen, by the grace of God, I will be at Survivor Series with my tag team partner.
31:53That would mean on this last run, we've been to three of these dates. We saw his last Royal Rumble. Oh, four. Yeah, because we did Rumble, we did Mania, we did Palooza, and now we're about to do Survivor Series. by the grace of God and, of course, the mouse. ESPNCW, we're here for you if you need us. A little pre-pre. But yeah, man, so all the stars, like I said, just a fun, fun match in that. I think that now goes on my list, Shay, of matches where if someone says to me, oh, I've never really watched wrestling, I have a few in my pocket that I like to show, I think that one is going on the list now.

33:59Steal my property and then wear it on TV. But it was cool. Roman brought out the cricket bat. And Pete brought some with that. The rugby ball. So it was it is. And then the Usos came out. A little turmoil. A little turmoil at the house. Everything good at home? I guess not. Roman after the match, it's over. He tells them He loves him. I don't want to see you until Christmas. That's oddly specific, don't you think? I'm not going to be a Survivor Series specific. Yes. Thanksgiving, you might as well cancel Thanksgiving. I ain't going to see you then. Do you know how cracking a Samoan Thanksgiving probably is?
34:44Yeah, my boy Tadao tells me all the time. My goodness. And he don't want to see you even there? Until Christmas. Until Christmas. And, you know, it looks like the thing that I— It's also adorable that they see each other for Christmas. right but again the thing that i brought up a few weeks ago that doesn't make sense you've got jay who's the most over organically over superstar that they have and it looks like they're gonna have to turn him and i just kind of wonder if that's a wise move yeah i mean it's not a lot of uh if you look on wrong if you just like kind of like take a step back look at the roster not a lot of good guys top good guys yeah it's not a lot of top good guys where you're like okay maybe they'll come save the day and you know LA night that guy has been floating in between for so long and yeah so Jay's that dark side coming out bro and speaking of getting things taken from you I don't know if anybody noticed that CM Punk definitely took Jay's grill as a grill wearer.
35:50Punk, you can't wear them. Wait a minute. He took it out of his mouth? Yeah, yeah. He knocked it out of his mouth and it happened in his head. Oh, okay. So if you see a new bracelet on Punk and it's Jey Uso's teeth, wow. Yeah. Okay. Well, you know, sometimes when people hunt sharks, they jack the teeth out. And Punk like bracelets. We know that. He loves a good bracelet. A grill necklace. He might go see Jacob put it on the chain. We'll see where this goes. But yeah, and here's another thing. Bronson Reed has done something that I researched this only, let's make sure I have this right. Yeah, he's one of only three men in professional wrestling to defeat Roman Reigns and Kazuchika Okada.
36:32The Rainmaker, yes. Samoa Joe beat Okada back in, I think, 2010, and he pinned Roman Reigns. Prince Devitt slash Finn Balor. Finn Balor. He also defeated Kazuchika Okada And then if you recall in July of, I think, 2015, 16, I think it was his Raw debut. Yeah. Yeah, he beat us. Why'd you snore like that? Because that's Big Dog Roman. Oh, yeah, it's different. That's Big Dog Roman. But it was still a big, it solidified Balor as a main character. And again, we talk about making stars. Roman was the man at that point. So for Finn to come out and get that dub over him that day, that put Finn Balor up on a pedestal, which helped him become the first Universal champion.
37:14Yeah, but I also will point out he had help. He had help. Not when he beat Roman. No, he didn't. He beat Roman Breaker. Didn't come out and help him. Prince. No, bro. I'm talking about. I'm talking about Bronson Reed beating Roman. Oh, yeah. He had help. Okay. We'll just beat him. I'm just saying. Loss is a loss. I mean, you know what I mean? I know it's your boys. My boy, too. But it is what it is. All right. All right. And then what else do we have? Oh, we had Rhea and Io. They defeated the Kabuki. Rhea. I was going to get there. They defeated the Kabuki Warriors. You know. Had to. Yeah, that was.
37:53Man, when you go back to last week, I think on SmackDown, when Kyrie hit, I guess, the Alabama slam on Io up against the ring apron, a lot of people got shook up by that. But that's that Japanese strong style. Those Japanese women beat the living crap out of each other, man. And so I think that's why Kyrie be taking on him slaps from Oscar straight face. She's used to it. Yeah. You know, so there was a lot of that going on in this match. Oscar got hit, though, with a missile drop kick from EO, like right in the face. And it was just whenever they tell you there's no risk, you show them that. Right.
38:31Hear me. Yeah. She got ever tell me this is the F word. You can say scripted. Don't ever tell me. She made her read these Nike. Right. Bam. You know, of course you had Rhea getting the enormous hometown pop, which you come to expect. And then you have the Kabuki Wars, which to me, I've said it before, I'll say it again. Asuka's the GOAT. She's the greatest of all time. I did see a video of her walking, and it looks like her knee is still not 100%. Still got that huge knee brace on. But look, it's kind of what you expected. You didn't think Rhea was going to go home and take an album. No. That was a little bit about the Bronson Reed thing, too.
39:13That was Bronson's first PLE back at home. We've seen him on Twitter and other social media outlets watching Elimination Chamber, watching all these PLEs in Australia that he couldn't be a part of. And I think it was last year. He was like, you know, maybe next year. Or like, it was just something of that. And so you have to have a moment for those who are from Australia. Let them get their shine. So when I saw that Roman Reigns was going one-on-one against one of my, you know, Grayson Waller being the other one, one of the Vegemite villains, one of the Tim Tam tyrants, you got to make sure that they get they shine, bro, get they shine.
39:52And, you know, much love to Bronson Reed, the guy, because the character be tripping. But, yeah, the same thing with Rhea. Rhea, run that place. Yeah. When it comes to Australian wrestling, like Rhea is the end-all, be-all. So you got to have her get her shine. Monday Night Raw, Kabukis might have got their get back because she met a table. You know, she got pretty friendly with a table on Raw. But you got to give your nod to your Australian superstars when you're in Australia. And Australia notices the nod, and they go hard. Ozzy, Ozzy, Ozzy. Oy, oy, oy. So, yeah, so there's that. We saw on Raw, we saw Asuka still, like I said, what did the five fingers say to the face to Kyrie?
40:36This is going to be interesting to see what they're going to do to Kyrie because I feel like her turn, she's not going to put up with just being, you know. You ain't going to keep talking to me like this. I'm only going to take about four or five more slaps. Her nerves are shot. We see that for Kyrie. She got marks on her forehead. I don't like it. She's trying to chill. She want her family back. But it's Asuka, so I literally can't say nothing. That's true, bro. If she got a problem with you, then what did you do to Oscar? Yeah, bro. I mean, I love J. N. Jamee Uso, and I haven't seen Roman slap the hell out of all of them.
41:12And I love me some Roman. That's an actual fact, yeah. People will be putting hands on people, you know what I'm saying? And then, so let's talk about the Crown Jewel Championship matches. First up, we had Stephanie Viqueira, friend of the show, against Tiffany Stratton, friend of the show. Think about that. We've had both women's world champions as guests on no contest. I mean, what are you going to do? There is no contest. What are you going to do? But, yeah, man, Stephanie Vicarra just continued her dominance, her incredible rise. I don't want to say rise because she's been wrestling for over a decade.
41:49In this mainstream WWE universe. Are we still in her debut year? Well, I think it's been about 15 months from NXT to now, I think. So still her debut on the main roster. I mean, like every time I see her, she got two belts on. Yeah, yeah. That's the only way she's done. She got two shoulders. She got to put something on. I'm like, my goodness. You know? So, yeah, Tiffany against Stephanie. I got to be honest with you. I did think that Tiffany was going to get this win. Oh, yeah? I don't know what made me lean that way. I just kind of thought that they'd give it to Tiffany. I felt like last year's crown jewel was the blondes taking it home with Cody and Liv.
42:40I felt like black hair has had it this year. And Stephanie showed why she is La Primera. She is just a beast. but Tiffany held her on too. There was a lot of times during the match where I was like, okay, that's the Tiffy I remember from NXT. Just like the move said and how she's moving in the ring. It is nothing against you to take an L to Stephanie Viqueira. It's Stephanie Viqueira. Also, Stephanie Viqueira of course, huge fan favorite right now, but there were moments in that match where she looked a little dark, got a little dark. I think that the Stephanie Vakere as a heel is probably going to be on another level.
43:32I'm sure they're going to milk this baby face thing for all they can. But when you look at her with the horns, the devil's kiss, some of her moveset, like that dragon screw is nasty. That's a mean move. That's a heel move. You can tell she definitely has it in her to get a little vicious. And I think ultimately you will. I won't see it. You will, but I don't think you're going to see it anytime soon. But once again, with Jay, it looks like he's turning. You just never know. But there's a heel in there in Stephanie, and if that heel comes out, good luck. She's one of those, like, even if she does go heel, bro, we still going to cheer?
44:09Yeah, I ain't booing her. One of them anti-hero type situations where it's just like, hey, leave that woman alone. You can boo her. You can boo her if you want. I'm not booing her. She even showed us love. We helped name her move. Yeah, we was like, hey, that sounds good. But again, no one else did it until that point. No contest. And then we had the men's crown jewel championship, Seth Rollins against Cody Rhodes. And it was about time. Seth did the job for Cody at Cody's comeback at WrestleMania. He did the job for him at Hell in a Cell or Cody had torn his peck off his chest. You know what?
44:48I think they say in total house shows, he's over 22, 23. So it was time for Seth Rollins. That's your one. He had to. Seth Rollins is obviously, he's your world champion. He is one of the faces of the company. He is one of the best in the planet earth at wrestling. He needed to get this dub and he had to do it without the vision. And we saw today, how that turned out for him. Can I get a wah-wah? But he needed that, you know, and of course you had to imagine when the watch came out, like I haven't worn the watch and now I have the watch and then he wore the watch to the ring. It would come into play and it did.
45:34You know, it was this, his one cheating moment where, and he really did catch, when you look, Cody's bleeding out of his mouth at the end. So he really caught the rollie in the lips. And that's another bit of storytelling I want to speak about because I watch What Do You Want to Talk About? Cody's pod that he has on his bus. And I saw the Becky Lynch episode, and he genuinely asked, like, do he even wear that watch? And Becky's like, no, he hasn't worn the watch. I'm like, it's just such, that was, whether that was real life happening and then they were like, oh, we can use that. Or they planted that seed from the beginning.
46:12That's the thing. You're never going to know. Either way, that is how you do it. That right there. And it just puts so much. It's just a little. Even if you didn't see the podcast, those who did see, know that little bit of extra on top. And that right there was just, it was fun to see because it makes that moment so much bigger. And that's if you're watching all the media that they put out around it. But, yeah, I just wanted to give a nod to using the watch. yeah chef's kiss man and and seth pulled it out at a time where the match still could go either way use the mat use the watch pop cody pop cody in the mouth and stomped him out and and you know it's surprising because you pretty much count on one hand the number of l's cody's taken since he's come back right so it's always you know kind of wow when cody loses his position is pretty solid you know a loss isn't going to hurt him at this point especially when he lost by someone who cheated and you know i i don't see him losing that title anytime soon unless you know so some guy the guy from comes down from canada and uh the guy who moved up to canada and decides to come back down after beating up john cena unless he decides oh my goodness he wants it but where where does brock forgetting about how no how it keeps me up at night i'm saying oh my goodness But how does Brock Lesnar fit into all this?
47:42What happens with the vision going forward? What happens with Seth Rollins? I mean, this is why we continue to keep watching, man, because there's stakes now. Now we've got Survivor Series coming. Teams look like they might be starting to, but directions I thought we were going are gone. Do you think there's a chance? I'm going to say something. You ain't going to like it. That's why I put my glasses on. I think there's a chance that on one Survivor Series team, because they got no choice, we see Reigns and Rollins teaming up again at some point, maybe for Survivor Series. What do you think?
48:30Hell no. Hell no. No, no, no. no no no no like i i already had to team up with the cody cry babies at bad blood for no reason whatsoever when they made roman and cody team up and yeah there is no way there is a snowballs chance in hell if I am Roman Reigns that I'm teaming up with the dude who not once, not twice, but three times screwed me over. No, dog. You not only the shield thing, which made you make me into the monster that I am, not only did you cost me my title at WrestleMania 40 with your match and watches and all of that nonsense. So much so that you lost your own title. But then you take Paul Heyman and I'm just going to be cool.
49:44I suspend my realm of reality for wrestling all of the time. The Undertaker's real name, according to TJ, is Mark. Hey, stop saying that. So like I believed I believe a lot. I refuse to believe in a world just a month later where your homeboy just beat me up and my cousins that I'm going to be cool with you because. Hey, big head. And you just send me a text. Please help. I am not a begging man, but Negro, please. I'm just saying. Paul Heyman is now enemy of the state for both Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins. Bronson Reed, Jack, my man's Jordan's just took him right off his feet. Just took his, took it right off his feet.
50:36Bron breaker. Ain't got no love for the bloodline at some point. You know, the enemy of my enemy is sometimes your enemy and sometimes your friend. I'm just saying surprise. You sent that feature request. You know that we got some ish to address. If Seth Rollins sends any type of request to Roman Reigns to team up, I want Roman Reigns to look at Seth Rollins and to tell him, I want you to take that request, write it down, put it in a box, tie up that box, shine it up real nice, turn that sumbitch sideways, and stick it straight up your candy ass. I don't think that's his gimmick, though, so I don't think he would say it.
51:24It's the closest you're going to get. All right? Shout out to the Smashing Machine. But yeah, man. Like, no. No. Ugh. No. He better off calling you. Well, I get down. I bet. I got a kendo stick. You know this. Don Bowie knows it because I hit him with it. Not my tribal chief. I'm just saying, man. Sometimes. And then he won a coin, and then you just coin Bronson Reed. You're the new tribal chief. you. You're not even Samoan. You're not even doing the ceremony the right way, Seth. How about you relax? He is Samoan. Seth not Samoan? No, I'm saying, but you can't be coining people's stuff, bro. It's regulations.
52:00It's culturally inappropriate. Yeah, that's true. That is true. But look, I'm just saying, it kind of makes sense. It kind of makes sense. But it don't make dollars. Well, it is going to make dollars, so that's the thing. You know, it is. Make me stretch out my Nike drive. But yeah, so, you know, he gets the ring. He and Stephanie at the end of the show, they stand tall with those oversized gorgeous belts that they don't get to keep. Yeah, right. But the rings, I'm saying, I think that's our next thing. We need no contest rings. I'm going to hit up. We talked about this. Don't tip me. I've hit up my boy Jason of Beverly Hills.
52:37He makes a Super Bowl ring so he can make us. I don't need a big one like that. But, you know, something nice for us to parade around in. Have to call up Jason, see what he could do for us. You know, something. We'll share it. But yeah, man. And it looked like he was threatening Stephanie. He said something to Stephanie. She laughed it off. I know you ain't talking about your wife. Well, I mean, his wife, she's the best wrestler in the world. And everybody says it. Sports Illustrated says it. Bleacher Report says it. ESPN said it. You know, we on no contest say she is one of the, I can't say the best.
53:18She's one of the best of all time, you know, because that's all subjective. But, yeah. So, you know, what am I going to say? I hate this segment. You hate it because I think you realize what I'm saying is going to come to fruition. No, man. It's because you put it out into the universe. And I believe in the universe, man. And you put out this crap to the universe. And the universe will be like, hmm, let me throw TJ a bone so Shay look crazy. All right. It's happened more than once on this show is all I'm saying. And you know, sometimes I speak things that do just... You're two-thirds? Yes. Okay.
53:51Well, that was it. That was Crown Jewel Perth. That was pretty dope. And, you know, we also got to give a shout out. This weekend, TNA held Bound for Glory. TNA, TNA, TNA. And there were some interesting, great matches there. The Inspiration, or as we know them, as the... Iconics! they retained the TNA knockout tag team champion. As they should. Steve Macklin, who we were kicking it with a little bit last time we went there, he regained the TNA international championship by defeating Frankie Kazarian. Your favorite, Tessa Blanchard, defeated Mean Gia Miller. Gia Miller, I... We thought Gia Miller was just an announcer.
54:31Oh, man, don't we talk about sandy cheeks like that, bro? We thought she was just an announcer. Now Gia Miller's out there doing work. And we became fans of her just meeting her at a TNA show. So shout out to me and Gia Miller. You are doing your thing. Nick Nemeth, a.k.a. Dolph Ziggler, and Frank Azarian, they simultaneously pinned each other in the Call Your Shot gauntlet match. That means they both are winners, which means much like Money in the Bank, these two can have a title match of their choosing at any time they choose over the next 12 months. It's going to be interesting to see. team up for as a tag team?
55:07Will one go after the world title? One go after the X-Division? International? Who knows? The world is their oyster, or at least the TNA championships. And also, once the shot is called, does the other one get to use their shot? That's a good question. I mean, are they linked? Is everything a triple threat? We're going to have to have Santino on the show at some point to really break this down for us to see how this works. Then we had Kalani Jordan, the new TNA Knockouts Championship. He retained, defeated Indy Hartwell. The system defeated Order 4. Leon Slater and Javon Evans had a match for the X Division Championship.
55:48And when I tell you that this was a video game, it was a video game. I saw stuff in this match. Not since Ricochet and Ospreay have I seen some of the stuff that these two young brothers was pulling out yesterday. or Saturday, I guess it was. It wasn't yesterday. I'm getting my day. I'm so confused on my days. I think it was yesterday. But, man, you want to talk about high-flying athleticism just off the chains. These two did. It reminded me that I don't stretch at all. I need to really work on my hammies. Because I know it was a couple of times where I was like, if I jumped from there and had to land on my feet, the shock that would go through my ankles would rattle my teeth.
56:40Yes. Like, it was like, you say video game. It was like when two people are playing Street Fighter and one pick Ryu and one pick Ken. Okay. It was just like two twin souls meant to go at each other forever. fight forever never had a better one two combination to say this for they are they are twin flames that just on different promotions it's it was beautiful and it felt like I don't know what their schedule was like whether they had enough time to really build a chemistry together but it just seemed like they had been waiting for each other their whole life you know it's kind of like that thing where you know you see two people like, well, I'll say it like this, like the Paul Rudd when he was on the Hot Wings show and he was like, look at us.
57:32That's who they thought it. It was just like they went together like, you know, Reese's Pieces, like chocolate and peanut butter, like pepperoni and pizza. Like, you know, like me and EO Sky. They just seemed to like go together. Right. And also, you're not slick for that Tessa Blanchard comment, but the guys were just like you couldn't keep your eyes off because the pace the athleticism I ain't never seen I believe it's a Spanish fly the way Javon did that Spanish fly I tell you what man tell you that it's just like how many times and a lot of people want to get on the ending and we'll get on the ending in just a second but like all I could think about was realistically how many times can they make us watch this how many times Like, can I get four matches out of these guys?
58:28Like, it just made me just start thinking, like, this can't be. This is the beginning of this. That's what it felt like. When we first saw Io and Stephanie Viqueira. Yeah. And we were like, there's no way we're getting this. Like, right now? Like, there's no way. And then it was no contest. And then you get another one and another one. I want this. I want this forever and like it's selfish of me because I'm sitting my ass on a couch to tell these people to have to do something to make me remember the next one the same way I remember the first one but man you two brothers and that's brothers with an A not with a hard ER because we don't do that around here but yeah you two dude kudos to you after the match we know how it ended Well, people might not know it was a 20-minute time limit draw, right?
59:24Yeah. Not the fans kind of. I don't know Santino as well. They voiced their displeasure. A record crowd for TNA, Fountain for Glory. Almost 8K. Our boy Santino Morella came back out and said, ah, nah, nah, nah, we're going to start this up five more minutes. Five more minutes. Of course, Dark State came out. They laid waste to both of the guys because, let's be honest, that was a match you didn't want to see anyone lose. Oh, man. Right? Am I wrong about that? No, everybody got to win. That's what happens when it's no contest. And that is how the match ended. It was ruled no contest. So, yeah, come on.
1:00:04Now people saying they don't get the name. That's what it is. And then we saw, so looking forward, these two are going to fight each other for the next 10 years. It's going to be glorious. Glorious, bro. It is our Ryu Ken. It is our Goku Vegeta. We are going to see these two go at it forever. And, man, how old is Slater? That is a – he – man, I'm going to have to look that up. He can't be over 24, I don't think. Yeah, man, I need this. Matter of fact, I need this. I need some kind of way to be a triple threat where Montez is in it. I'm just trying to see people jump, bro. And it is – man, it was a beautiful match.
1:00:46it ended on a cliffhanger because we will now they're still going to be talking about it on the schoolyard they're still going to be talking about it at the water cooler we're still going to be talking about it on social media and all other outlets and we're definitely talking about it on the No Contest Wrestling Podcast so shout out to both of you brothers this is just the beginning and I'm here for it, O'Shea Jackson Jr. Leon Slater he was born on September the 24th Thank you. 2004. Another one of these. 21 years old. Another. Bro, another one of these damn compound sentence birth years. 2000 and.
1:01:31Like, my God, dude. He and Javon both 21 years old. What was in the water in 04? Like I said, I want to go to my. I showed you what I was doing on the day Javon was born. And I'm going to see if I have a picture of what I was doing on September of 2004, because it seems like it was yesterday. And now these guys are putting on banger matches. If we kicked it with them two young dudes, they would have so much lingo. We don't understand. Well, on September the 7th, 2004, I'm looking at my phone. I did my fantasy football draft three days after that. And this, you want some blast from the past. Oh, I was going to say, who'd you pick in all four?
1:02:11I had Steve McNair, rest in peace, and Tom Brady as my quarterback. I had Sean Alexander, Corey Dillon, and Quentin Griffin of the Broncos as my running backs. Peerless Price, Andre Big Dude Johnson, and Larry Fitzgerald were my wide receivers. Tony Gonzalez and Jason Witten were my tight ends. Oh, you a cowboy. I had a nice team. Adam Vinatieri and Billy Cundiff, who were my kickers, and the Dallas Cowboys and St. Louis Rams were my defenses. That was three days after Leon was born. And, yeah, Leon Slater. Them running backs is nasty. Actually, I'm sorry. This was a week before Leon was born, not a week.
1:02:52Yeah. So how about that? That's 2004. These young guys are taking over. Also, September 24th, he got my baby mama birthday, so I know. 1:03:30I get so many headaches every month. It could be chronic migraine, 15 or more headache days a month, each lasting four hours or more. Botox, on a botulinum toxin A, prevents headaches in adults with chronic migraine. It's not for those who have 14 or fewer headache days a month. Prescription Botox is injected by your doctor. Effects of Botox may spread hours to weeks after injection, causing serious symptoms. Alert your doctor right away as difficulty swallowing, speaking, breathing, eye problems, or muscle weakness can be signs of a life-threatening condition. Patients with these conditions before injection are at highest risk.
1:04:01Side effects may include allergic reactions, neck and injection site pain, fatigue, and headache. Allergic reactions can include rash, welts, asthma symptoms, and dizziness. Don't receive Botox if there's a skin infection. Tell your doctor your medical history, muscle or nerve conditions, including ALS Lou Gehrig's disease, myasthenia gravis or Lambert-Eaton syndrome, and medications, including botulinum toxins, as these may increase the risk of serious side effects. 1:05:36Yeah, the samurai bow. But that was a moment, you know, Bubba Ray, Bully Ray, however you want to call him, he's the big, strong, tough guy on LFG and on his podcast. But you literally saw this big, tough man kind of break down when he handed those boots over. and shout out to D-Von for getting himself right so he can come and get, you know, is this the last time? It kind of seems like it is. And they went out with a team that they truly made history with. Yeah. WrestleMania 17. Yeah, man. And when you go to battle with somebody like that all those years ago, you become linked in fans' minds and in their mind because they trusted these guys.
1:06:21They trusted each other with their lives for many years. So it was just a warm, pretty dope moment just to kind of see that. And the slow turnaround from Bubba slash Bully to see Matt and Jeff. And, you know, he knows he's going through that table. And a little bit of a Shawn Michaels Ric Flair moment of just like, sorry, you know, that I'm sorry. put him through the table, help him up. It was such a moment where not only are we watching four of the greatest, you know, the two of the greatest tag teams ever, but I felt my childhood saying bye to me. Kind of, right? Kind of felt like, dang, you know?
1:07:15And Bubba putting out the tweet of the end, we gotta have them on because I gotta know what your emotions are when it's like that you know you've done matches you've done over a thousand matches dude you've smelled that air over a thousand over a million times whatever but when you know it's your last when you you get to choose who is gonna take you take you you know out to pasture to use a you know mean ass term But I need to know what that day was like for him. And the guys over at Busted Open, you know, they've been my dudes. Shout out to David LaGreca. But, yeah, we got to get him in. We got to get Devon in.
1:08:01I need to know what that morning was, what that evening was, and then how they feel that night and the next morning. But I couldn't find a better way. obviously in a situation like that everybody's thinking about Edge and Christian what it would be like if we had one more triple threat with those tag teams but different paths lead you to different places and we all know why that couldn't happen but we actually don't get Christian and Cope back together yeah yeah but we know why that triple threat couldn't have happened and how this went down I don't think I would want the triple threat because it felt so special last night that like that's how the Dudleys deserve to go out anybody who knows me or has followed me for a long time knows how highly I think of the Dudleys I was a Dudley fan a little bit over the Hardys because I felt like when the Dudleys came out you gotta be nervous bro because they're crazy.
1:09:09They're nuts, dude. Whether you be an old woman or you got a title belt. Oh, it did not matter. You better watch out for them Dudleys. They put you through a table no matter what. Yeah, the Hardys is just good dudes who, like, jump off stuff. Dudleys, they're a little off. Yeah, yeah. All right, also, shout out to Spike. Yeah, he showed up. Yeah, shout out to Spike Dudley. Shout out to everyone who made their Hall of Fame, by the way. The beautiful people, Mickie James, you know, Spike Dudley came out. Yeah, so to the Dudley boys, no contest wrestling applause here, man. Thank you for everything, every risk that you put on your body, on your family.
1:09:41Every table you put somebody through. Yeah, it's a beautiful thing to be able to go out on your own terms. You always have a home in wrestling, but you always do also have a home on no contest because we don't keep talking about you. You will live on forever through the history of the square circle. So shout out to the Deli boys on an amazing, almost untouchable career. No doubt. And lastly, we got a new TNA world. You got mixed emotions. You got mixed emotions because the champion, Trick Williams, friend of the show. Friend of the show. That's our boy. We're in a group chat with Tech. Yup. With Trick.
1:10:23We're in a group chat. We've hung out with Trick. Great dude. Incredible performer. It's been so amazing watching his ascent. because as I told you before, many years ago when I first saw him playing the heavy for Carmelo Hayes, I was like, that dude there got something. That boy got the salt. And he definitely has shown that. And then you got Mike Santana, who, let's be honest, first class, AJ Francis and KC Navarro, they were about to maybe rough you off a little bit when we were at a TNA show. Mike Santana came down and saved you. That's my dog. So I know you got love from Mike Santana. And his story, you know, the redemption story was so powerful and so strong, man.
1:11:07And he and Trick Williams, they battled. They battled. And at the end, Mike Santana gets his first ever world champion. First Puerto Rican TNA world champion. The first Puerto Rican TNA world champion. He brings his daughter to the ring and presents her with blood and tears in his eyes and hands his daughter the belt and bows at her feet, man. I don't have any kids. You do. You have a daughter. I thought about you in that moment, and I was like, man, like, what that must mean? Kay Faber, not what that must mean. And I'll turn it over to you because you can explain it better to me. What must have been going through Mike Santana's mind?
1:11:48Even though someone's going to go, whatever, man, that was real. That was a real moment. That was real emotion right there. I've been doing movies since my daughter was born my daughter's 8 years old my career's 10 years old and I do some pretty suggestive films so she hasn't really seen any of them but I remember her going to go see Wicked and when she was in the theater walking to the theater to go see Wicked there's a poster of Den of Thieves 2 in the movie theater a word and she was with her other side of the family. And they said that she wanted to stop and tell them, I want to take a picture next to my daddy's poster.
1:12:39Oh, man. And when I tell you the boo-hoo that I let out, it was such a crazy feeling to like, she's proud of me. And like, I'm proud of her for everything. So when you have those moments of like, yo, your little girl is proud of you. All, everything that you've either had to miss or everything that you do for her and everything that you don't do for her. Coming to just a little bit of flourishing right then and there. And for Mike, I could only imagine being as exhausted as he was. going from promotion to promotion feeling like he finally found a home. Breaking out of that tag team wrestler. Yeah, true.
1:13:30Because that's hard to do. That's hard to do to find your own when you're in a tag team that people recognize you for. Highly successful, yeah. And so for him to finally get it done and her to be there. Also slapped the taste out of Trix's mouth so she gets to hold that for a little bit. She did. But I can only imagine you know the the real emotion that comes out in a moment like that and also for yeah for the naysayers who have something to say about well you know he knew he was gonna win going in and yada yada we know what we're looking at but it also is an accomplishment and an achievement when a company looks at the work that you put in and says that we want you to be the face that runs the place to be the guy who we look at as the leader.
1:14:24When they ask us who our best is, we chose you. That says something. That is Mike Santana. We can't wait to have you on the show. Tommy, Tommy Dreamer, expect the call because it's coming because I got to talk to him. He is the new TNA champion. yeah congrats to to mike santana and congrats to trick willie man because boy i didn't think you gonna hold that belt you held that man shout out to trick willie for for doing something that no one else has ever done before and now it's going to be interesting to see where he goes from here sky's the limit and i don't think it's a limit you know yeah and sky's the beginning to quote michael jackson which really is one of the hardest lines ever when he said they say the sky's a limit and for some it's really true meaning it's not for him bro come on man i'm mike jack i'm sorry take that back they say the sky's the limit and for me it's really true yeah they say the sky's the limit and for me it's really true like come on man but yeah so shout out you know congrats to all the wrestlers who did their things on these two shows uh congrats before we go to the new New Japan, the IWGP world champion, the Alpha.
1:15:53Takeshita today wins the championship. So hopefully we'll touch on that maybe next week. A little bit more. I was talking earlier about Create A Wrestler. That dude is, he is a walking Create A Wrestler. He is a walking everything that you would want in a wrestler. Yes, he is. It's that dude right there. He's now the new IWGP heavyweight champion. It's going to be interesting to see how that affects the Don Callis family and him and Okada. Because they've already got like, you know, Okada's got like the big brother on them. Can we talk about the Don Callis? Is this the new NWO? Everybody is in it.
1:16:31My God. Are you in it? I might be. My goodness, dude. Let me tell you, they got somebody for everyone in the Don Callis family. You can't watch all them people at one time, bro. He has to watch his back. Who, Don does? Yeah, it's a little shaky all the time. You got 30 members. That's right. That's why he feels comfortable. He feels comfortable. He feels safe. He got some of the best wrestlers in AEW. Tony, do something. But before we go to one last thing, you mentioned the Smashing Machine. You kind of just said that. I saw that last week, and I got to say, big ups to The Rock. You know what I mean?
1:17:05If, if. I thoroughly, and of course, the story of Mark Kerr might be a little niche for some people who never saw the Smashing Machine documentary or who aren't UFC fans. But if you're a fan of storytelling, if you're a fan of just great acting, and I'm going to say it, The Rock did a tremendous job. He completely lost himself in this role of Mark Kerr to the point where, Shane, there was only about three times during that movie I was like, oh yeah, that's Rocky. Because the makeup was so good, he changed his voice, his mannerisms. Mark Kerr was just this big, strong monster of a man who really was soft.
1:17:45And I don't mean soft in the bad way, but just a good heart. Didn't really necessarily want to hurt people, but that's what he was good at. And that's what the job called for. Emily Blunt, tremendous job playing his wife. She's incredible. Ryan Bader played Mark Coleman. And that was the only time that took me out a little bit. Because Ryan Bader, who's not an actor, who is a professional fighter, did a great job playing Mark Coleman. But the whole time I'm like, that's Bader. So I couldn't get that out of my head, but shout out to him. He did a great job playing Mark Coleman. This was, uh, uh, people say that it didn't do as much box office.
1:18:21Sometimes never do. Yeah. A 24 does great films. They do great stories. And this was it, man. If you're a fan of the rock or Mark her or UFC, or just, you just want to watch a kind of a feel good story that has some tragedy and some ups and downs in it. I'd say, you know, check out Smash the Machine if you can, especially if you're a fan of Dwayne Johnson, because a lot of people say he only acts as Dwayne Johnson. Well, when you're a movie star, people pay to see you. This time, he lost himself in this role. I thought he was tremendous as Mark Kerr. Big ups to you, Rock. Dwayne, you did your thing.
1:19:05and I think people really are missing out if they don't go check out his performance in this movie. You know what? Let me get this one. Come on the show, man. We want to talk to you. I want to talk to you about wrestling. I want to talk to you about the film. I want to talk to you about your process. I want to know, man. All right? You guys share the same story. You followed in your father's footsteps. Yeah. There's a lot for us to talk about, man. So I'm going to tell you right now, you know you're my hero. We've talked about this before. Met you twice. I've let you know. Talk to you on Twitter.
1:19:38It's time, man. We need because we you even got a running gag on our show. Like you got a thing, bro. We need to talk. Come on, man. We need to talk to you. So I'm asking you. I'm making the request. I'm putting it out in the Internet. We need the great one. Yeah, I got a cardboard cutout of the rock back by my desk. Fanny pack and all with I bought like a fancy Gucci shirt. It wasn't Gucci, though. It was something I bought from China that was knockoff bootleg, but whatever. Juicy. Yeah. But yeah, man, as wrestling fans, if you're a rock fan, take the time. Go see Smashing Machine. Definitely worth it.
1:20:18Some great performances. But before we go, man, we were speaking about Javon Evans. Yeah, man. The young OG. The young OG, and he was a guest on our show last week, And he said something to us that made us instantly feel older than dirt. And it set the internet on fire. And I only like, it pains me to hear this again, but here's what happened. My older brother, Daryl, this is how he introduced me to wrestling period. We, uh, are you ready for my old moment? Yes, sir. We played WWF WWF raw on a Sega Genesis. and he would always pick Shawn Michaels. I'm like, you don't want to be nobody else? Like, who is this dude?
1:21:04He always picked Shawn Michaels. And, you know, he would, I don't know no better, so he'd tell me who to pick. So I'm always Undertaker because that's the safest bet for the little runner to play with. You're going to be all right if you pick Taker. Just pick Taker. And, yeah, that's when I got introduced to Shawn. It's kind of the same route. I was just seeing my older brother. He won't pick nobody else. It's going to be Shawn Michaels. He's going to get a bat from outside the ring. It's about to go down. So, man, absolutely, bro. Power of video games, man. I'll never put them down. PlayStation on pause right now.
1:21:38I got a question, and this is really going to show my age. Y 'all probably already know.
1:21:45What's second Genesis? I don't know what that is. Ladies and gentlemen, give it up for Javon Evans, bro. Hey, hold on, wait, wait, hold on. Wait. Sega Genesis bro this is gonna get clipped oh no I don't know oh Sega Genesis I don't know what that is bro my heart hurts Sega Genesis is a it was totally the greatest of all time it's a console it rivaled the Nintendo back in the day it was like Nintendo and Sega that was the rivalry was between Nintendo and Sega kind of like NXT and TNA And Nintendo came out with the Super Nintendo and then there was the Sega Genesis and they would go at it. Do you know what the Sega Dreamcast is?
1:22:33No, he don't know what the Dreamcast is. Good, because I'm always having this moment. Now you get to have this moment. Hold on, bro. It's not the same. It's kind of the same. It's kind of the same. Honestly, the farthest that I know is probably the Nintendo 64. That came out last week. No, no, no. Dreamcast in 64 had their rivalry. That was the Sega and Nintendo rivalry still going on. But yeah, the Sega Genesis. Shout out to everybody who remembers the Sega Genesis. Bro, I never felt a pain in my back like I just did right now. I've never had a human being ask me what Sega Genesis is before that.
1:23:17Damn. Wow. So we clipped that. You said it was going to get clipped, and we did. Yeah, man. And we put that on our socials, and let me tell you something. I get about 50 different comments a day over the last five days over Javon Evans. Now, literally, everybody now feels like Methuselah. Everybody feels old. It was just one of those moments you forget, man. He's 21 years old, man. Yeah. Still a young bull. And, you know, he really wasn't wrong because I don't know what the second Genesis is either. It was a book in the Bible, obviously. I hear you. I got to catch up. But here's the deal, you know, and within all of that, all of the comments that have been coming off of Twitter and TikTok and Instagram and the YouTube page, you know, started along a conversation.
1:24:12And then a lot of people, I know I had about four people specifically DM me like, hey, what's your favorite video game? And here's the deal, man. That's not really my lane. You know, I'm like LeVar Ball. I stay in my lane. That's not my area of expertise. But, you know, it is somebody's area of expertise. So you just made the list. Mr. Jackson, why don't you tell them what you got for him? Hey, we got the Jericho drop. That was nice. Shout out to Del Tufo. Oh, man. You just love putting me in controversy. Well, it's about to get real controversial in here. All right. First of all, let me just give an honorable mention.
1:24:52So you got to tell them what you're doing. I'm doing my top five wrestling video games here. So right now I got to start off with an honorable mention because you're going to have a lot of people saying that's not really a wrestling game. But if you played the game, pretty much a wrestling game. And that is Def Jam Vendetta. Oh, I do remember that. Def Jam Vendetta got to be in my honorable mentions. We all know the internet and how much we've been hammering to get a game like this again. But, you know, people don't know how to handle their beefs nowadays in hip-hop. So I don't know if it's going to be great to necessarily have a fighting game anymore.
1:25:27But here we are. Dev Jam Vendetta, my honorable mention. But let's get to the list. Now, number five, I have to put this up on my top five because it was the game that introduced me into wrestling. I've told this story a few times on a few different shows. And that is WWF Raw for the Sega Genesis. The Sega Genesis. Not the second Genesis? No, man. And it was the game that introduced me to wrestling. It introduced me to people like Bam Bam Bigelow, Dark the Clown, Razor Ramon. It's definitely a key part of my heart and my wrestling lore. Number four. Now, this is controversial for my own self because it definitely could have been number three.
1:26:11But number four, I'm going to go with WCW NWO Revenge. Now, this, I was a big Goldberg fan. Okay. So this was the first time I got to play with Goldberg in the game. I didn't want to be nobody else. Ultimo Dragon a few times. Okay. Come on, man. All right. Come on, man. I know you got that one. Yeah, you know. And then also, if you play the game, you know the Akai and the THQ men. Fire. anyway so WCW versus NWO Revenge I think Goldberg was also on WCW Thunder first I gotta see when those came out but this is the best one WCW NWO Revenge number three you knew it was coming WWF No Mercy Nintendo 64 and that game was the first game where I felt like this is hard like hard like this is hard and you know no mercy anybody who's played wrestling video games know that this has to be a staple on everybody's list so you knew that was going to be on mine and here's where the controversy starts because number two I got WWE 2k19 now some people got their favorite 2ks whenever no matter what whether it's basketball or anything that has 2K on it.
1:27:35You're going to get people debating what was the best one, what year, and yada, yada, yada. But 2K was the last time where I really felt like I had real customizable options on my creator wrestler. It was the most fun I had had with a wrestling video game in a long time. And so 2K, 19. And I'm going to be mad if I'm mistaken, but that's the one with AJ Styles on the cover. That, man, I had such a good time. playing that game and i missed that game we all know what happened later on with 2k 20 and how it was unplayable and yada yada but 19 man i was really having a ball bring back the the the creation of it all 2k please because you've been taking away that creator wrestler and all the little details that we can do and it's like come on man we're a community of creators so wait they don't have creative wrestling no they do but it's just like certain things that make it where it's so template based where or preset based that like there's it doesn't a lot of things start looking the same or just looking like different versions of other things shout out to our people at 2k shout out to our people at 2k we just want to create man that's all we're trying to do baby and number one this game had so many mechanics in it that i just don't understand why we we took some of them away.
1:28:57Smackdown, here comes the pain. When I say you could jump off everything, the spots you could do in this game were they should be dead, TJ. There's just certain times where you're like, yeah, he's dead. There's no way he's coming back from that. I'm talking you want to be electrocuted. You want to jump off the fist. You want to do anything you could imagine was basically you were able to do. Even some of the mechanics as far as throwing wrestlers into objects it just had everything like i can't remember a single match i had with friends that stayed in the ring oh really we going to the back it's just how it is dude smackdown here comes the pain and that with all controversy attached i'm waiting for all the mentions and all the comments oh how come you didn't have such and such.
1:29:53I can't leave me a left off. This is my top five, bro. It's not saying that I don't think those games are fun. I'm just saying my top five put me on an island only gave me five wrestling games to play with an honorable mention. I'd have a good time with my list. And that, TJ, was Shea's favorite top five wrestling video games. I feel comfortable with myself. There you have it. We're after tag Javon in this video. Yeah, man. He got it. Yeah, he. I love that dude, man. That's all I'm saying. What? Thank you so much for that clip, Javon. It's going in our Hall of Fame. It's going in our Hall of Fame right next to our second Genesis.
1:30:33Right. Genocide. Well, I think that's about it for this week. A lot happened with, you know, Crown Jewel Perth, with Bound for Glory, with what we just saw. Yeah. And if you haven't seen it yet on Monday Night Raw, a whole bunch of stuff. Storms are coming. Come on, man. It's getting exciting. Also low-key, I saw on Instagram Obafemi taking on the giant Omos and some house shows. Let's see where that's going to go. Hey, Seth Rollins might be in need of some new teammates. Yeah, you go with these creative liberties. There's a couple of guys down there that he's going to need some backup. Yeah, man.
1:31:19You know what I mean? So like they said in Scarface, you need new backup men. Like he's going to need that. So that was the thing about the bloodlines balance. Roman wasn't picking nobody bigger than Roman. Seth, keep picking people bigger than him. You might get jumped. You might get jumped, man. But either way, TJ, could you do me a favor and please tell the people where to find it? Oh, for sure, for sure. Now look, on all socials, you can hit us up and follow and hit us up and leave your comments and tell us how old you feel. But on Twitter and X, there's no contest. On Instagram, no contest wrestling podcast.
1:31:54On TikTok, no contest wrestling pod. And of course, you can find all of our videos on the now one million followers of the Rich Eisen Show YouTube page. Just go ahead, type no contest wrestling in there, and everything we've done wrestling related will pop up. People say, why don't we have our own page? which I'm sure at some point we will, but we ain't got a million followers like this one does. So it makes sense. Right now we are being broadcasted to the million and millions of fans. That are fans of the Rich Eisen show, but we getting there, man. We only a year in baby. Good Lord. Anyway, I hope y 'all have a good day, but not too good.
1:32:36Cause who the hell do you think you are? TJ love you, bro. All right, man. So appreciate y 'all next week. We're here. Hopefully, we might have a guest. Might have a couple guests. Might be talking about who knows what. But we're looking forward to seeing you. I said I love you. Have a good week, brother. Good seeing you, too.
1:32:59Bye, Ms. Parker.
1:33:09Some personality quirks are really funny. Like, I talk to my left foot more than I talk to my right. You know what's not funny and not a personality quirk? OCD. Although the term OCD is widely recognized, it's misunderstood by most people. It doesn't mean being tidy or clean. It's having obsessive fears, thoughts, and urges. You question your character. You question your safety. That's OCD. Breaking the OCD cycle takes effective treatment. Go to NoCD.com to learn more.
