1:25Rich Eisen:Then there's Trey Hendrickson. I don't know. There's no other organization knows me better than this one. This is the one where I don't know. Wilson, under pressure, sacked, Trey Hendrickson. Live from the Rich Eisen Show studio in Los Angeles. Because with the Bengals, you just don't know, man. You never know. Earlier on the show, Royals pitcher Rich Hill. Coming up, actor Chad Michael Murray. USA Today sports columnist Christine Brennan. Plus, latest news and more. And now, it's Rich Eisen. Outstanding. Hour number two of the Rich Eisen Show is on the air. Just had a very nice chat in our green room with Chad Michael Murray, who's coming out here in support of Freakier Friday.

2:11Rich Eisen:So Fridays are getting more freaky. is the sequel to the beloved 2003 film Freaky Friday. And the cast is all back together. Lindsay Lohan, Jamie Lee Curtis, Mark Harmon, and Chad Michael Murray, diehard Buffalo Bills fan. We might do a Bills win-loss game. Who knows? Good chat with him and our number two, right there in the middle of this three-hour extravaganza that is here not just for you at 844-204-H. your number to dial, whether you're watching or listening. But we're here for our two guys who are celebrating a birthday today, sharing July 23rd as their days of birth. Chris Brockman, age 45.

2:55Rich Eisen:TJ Jefferson, age 59. Okay, very good. He refuses to say. I wanted to date myself. And on yesterday's program, I said, well, how about each one of you gets a birthday wish from the other. Like, what do you want for your birthday from the other guy? And you, Chris, said, I want TJ to play the Cowboys win-loss game. Yeah, very simple, very fun. Absolutely. Yeah. And he will do so later on. And then TJ came over the top and said he wanted a full hour of positivity from you, which is asking a lot. It is, but it starts right now. Now. Yes. the hour of power, to use the price is right phrase. I can feel it.

3:43Rich Eisen:You must be positive for the rest of this hour. Everything. So whatever. See, that doesn't look like a positive look. Whatever portion of your mass holishness that resides within you must be suppressed. Hold it back. For the next 57 minutes and 20 seconds. Okay? Can you do it? Terrific. And we're going to have a Buffalo Bills fan here. I love the Bills. I know you do. Love their quarterback. This is great. I love their old receiver that's now on my team. Let's take a phone call here to kick off this hour. Jimmy in San Antonio, one of our favorites. Jimmy, welcome to our positivity. That is true, you do.

4:27Rich Eisen:Here on the program. I follow Triple G, the ledges. I'm so honored. That lady is awesome. She is. I know. I agree. I agree. She just popped on in the Roku only segment at the end of the hour. What's going on, Jimmy? How are you? I'm doing well. I'm very positive. I'll get to the family feud in a minute. First, elise cumpleaños Brockman on your 45th. Yes, sir. And the 25th anniversary of Looking 45. Ah, thank you. That's actually true. Okay. I could definitely buy beer when I was like 14. Nice. Very good. The Wilfred Brimley of the show? Yeah. You are? Okay, very good. TJ, TJ, congrats on another trip around the sun, the same amount of years as me.

5:11Rich Eisen:And how many years would that be? Well, I'm getting up there. Nobody knows. Nobody knows. Jimmy, you're getting up there. Okay, the family feud. Rich, I happened to see you on the Dan Patrick show. Yes, yes, yes. I have a problem. I have a beef. I know you seem to have squashed it, but they are the Milford Maradonas. They are accepting the trophy because the ref didn't make the call, and it will not stand. Well, here's the thing, Jimmy, is that we have been talking nonstop about it on this program since it's happened. I haven't watched it back yet. And these gentlemen, the three of them here in studio, have been saying that there was cheating going on because there was a second bite at the apple that Fritzie got.

6:04Rich Eisen:And then got something right, which prevented us from having a chance to steal because he used the correct answer to complete their round of taking the points, preventing us from using that. And as a matter of fact, when it all came down to it, that was not the case. And Jay Feli watched it back as I was sitting in the waiting room in the Zoom room with Dan. And he's just two minutes before we go on the air. You're like, oh, yeah. The way we've been talking about it is, in fact, not the way it happened. That Fritz did get a second bite at the apple, but got a wrong answer. And then we had a chance to steal, and we got it wrong.

6:46So the Maserati mole king screwed everything up.

6:49Rich Eisen:You know what? I need some reading. Not just you. No, it was all of us. It was everybody. It was definitely all of us. Chris, be positive. Chris, be positive. No, he was. He was being positive by taking full responsibility. There you go. He's being good. So also, Jimmy, look, we all did a great job. I mean, Rich, Jason, myself, Chris Del Tufo, right, Chris? Oh, Del Tufo didn't go to Chris. I'll take it. Chris can't be. Right off the bat. Chris can't be. I won't do this to you for the full hour. I'll take the bullet here. Del Tufo was perfectly terrible at it. And we should have supplanted him with O'Shea Jackson Jr.

7:28Rich Eisen:He would have brought more star value to the equation. And Del Tufo was terrible. He was terrible. Does O'Shea own a boat? Probably. He does not. He does not own a boat. Okay, then they'll take those. He deserved it. Thanks for the call, Jimmy. Greatly appreciate it. It's Jimmy in San Antonio. Have one for us, Jimmy. So, again, Chris Brockman must be positive for the entire hour of this program. I am positive that I played great on Family Feud. Okay. I was one for one. You did. You were terrific at it. And so, you know, you've got to be positive for the entire hour. That's TJ Jefferson's birthday wish that he wants you to grant on this day of his birth.

8:07Rich Eisen:Such an unreasonable request. Which you guys share. Well, later on, you're going to get your birthday wish granted, which is him playing the Cowboys win-loss game. And I'm very excited about that. And I know you feel, at least yesterday, you said you think that's an inequitable. Doesn't seem like they balance out, but that's okay. Okay. But that's all right. He's being positive. I mean, that was his wish. That's all right. I could have wished for something else, and I did not. In honor of Chris being positive, everything's half full glass. I would hope so. No, it's got to be all the way full. Full, full, full.

8:45Rich Eisen:I'm just saying you're being optimistic. Yeah, we have no room for error. Okay, very good. It's overflow. I think it's time for a special TJ birthday edition of TJ's Grab Bag. Don't you think that'd be great? I think that's a great idea. Lots to talk about on today's program. Let's hit it. Let's hit it. What in the world is in that bag? What you got in that bag? So in your bag, what do you want to talk about today, TJ? I'm excited for your grab bag, TJ. I love these seconds. First day of Leo, there's so much I want to talk about, Rich, but I think I'm going to start off with this. Let's talk about tradition.

9:15Sure. We're all traditionalists here, right? We love tradition. Something that happens over and over and over and over again. Sure, yeah, yeah. Look, I'm a New York Mets fan, right? And you know I will ride or die with the Mets. I do know that. But the thing is, like, I get it. Like, there's another team in New York, man, and their tradition's a little bit stronger than ours. I'm not ashamed to admit it. Interesting. They've been to the World Series 41 times out of those. They got 27 of them diamond rings.

9:37Rich Eisen:Are you talking about the New York Yankees? The New York Yankees. And I just want to say, man, what a rich baseball tradition that that is. You know what I would call it? What would you call it? I'd call it a lush tradition. Lush tradition. Of the New York. Well, I would call it a lush tradition. Yeah. 27 champions. Of the New York Yankees. Rich, think about all the Hall of Famers. 27 of them. legendary players, Baybrook, Mickey Mantle. Oh my gosh. You know, Joe DiMaggio. Yeah, I'm excited to see where this is going. Derek Jeter. What do you mean? We're just talking about it. How do you feel about the Yankees, Chris?

10:06Rich Eisen:How do you feel about the lush tradition of the Yankees, Chris? I went to their stadium earlier this year. Yes. The second time I've been to Yankee Stadium. Yes. Did you sense the lush tradition? There's a lot of concrete. Did you feel the legends in the air? Yeah. Did you feel the spirit of Baybrook? It was very humid that day, so I was kind of feeling warm and hot. You saw a potential no-hitter unfold. Yes, I did. That was actually really exciting. There were no hits by the Orioles that day when I was there with my son and Sarah. The spirit of Joe DiMaggio take over your body. And despite the lush tradition of the Yankees, TJ, if I may add into your grab bags to see what's in there, I kind of think that in honor of you as a Met fan for realizing the lush tradition of the New York Yankees and you, Chris, being a diehard Red Sox fan, admitting that the Yankees 27 World Championships and all of their legion of hall of famers, that their tradition is the most lush.

11:12Rich Eisen:I did not admit to that while staying positive. I have not admitted to any of that. I will sit here and say, I kind of think Mike Del Tufo saying he's a Dodger fan isn't that bad after all. Oh, I agree. What do you think, Chris? What do you think, Chris? I think, you know, living in America, I think you're afforded several, obviously many great opportunities, and one of those is free will. So if Mike wants to choose to root for any team that he wants, He's perfectly in his right to do that. And I'm happy for him. Whatever makes him happy. I think so, too. What else is in your grab bag, TJ, that you want to talk about today?

11:54Well, you know what? We had a little thing we had going on a few weeks ago. That was Hall of Fame, right? We were talking about who should be in the Hall of Fame, who maybe shouldn't be in the Hall of Fame. There's a guy who's not there yet, and I know for a thousand percent. He's getting in. I will bet my last dollar that Brockman will agree with me. When you look at the body of work that this man put out there. Who are you talking about? two-time, two-time, two-time Super Bowl champion, Eli Manning. Manning, Eli. Come on, Chris. You know Eli's one of the ghosts, right? He's in.

12:21Rich Eisen:He's in. One of the greatest of his generation. The throw he dropped to Mario Manningham in his second Super Bowl win. Unbelievable that he would do that in the final throws of a game. And then when he bought enough time. The clean pocket. When he bought enough time. Unbelievable. And his offensive line held up for so long. Like it might have been a record. And he. That's a good word choice by you. And his escapability. To get out of a grasp, just a brief grasp. Brief, yeah. Of being sacked. For him to get out. And then make one of the throws of all time. Maybe the greatest throw of all time. Wouldn't you agree, Chris?

13:03That was an awesome time, bro. I would agree that, look, for the Giants Super Bowl. It was a yes or no question. Wouldn't you agree? To which part? All of them. I will say that I was actually doing the highlight that day for NFL Network on the big show for the second Giants Super Bowl. So I was hard at work, and I remember that being a very fulfilling experience for me on my journey to where I am right now.

13:36Rich Eisen:Well, I mean, I think I'll take that as a yes. Obviously. And then on top of it, if I may peek into your grab bag again. I don't mean, you know, we're doing this. I mean, you want to talk about Eli Manning and his unqualified Hall of Fame greatness. The thing I loved about Eli also was how even Keely always was. Never complained. No. Never, ever thought that something was happening against him. He was always positive. He always went with the flow, no matter what the calls were. And I think, Chris, if I'm not mistaken, you would agree that LeBron James is the exact same way. That he's never once ever complained about a call or anything else.

14:25Rich Eisen:And he's always been about the team. He's never been about himself. He's never made it about him. What do you think about that, Chris? I think what I like most about Eli Manning is, yeah, he's got the same amount of wins. No, I'm talking about LeBron. I'm talking about LeBron. Oh, I just heard the Eli Manning part. My ears must be not working. I'm going to stay positive and get some new batteries in the ears. Don't you think LeBron has been above board on all of that? I think he's had a fantastic career. Even more than that, Chris, LeBron's one of the greatest of all time. There's no mistaking that.

14:55Don't you feel that once you get to a point in your career, you deserve to kind of choose who you play with, like who you bring into your circle? Because you don't just want anybody in there, right? When did you take this picture, Chris?

15:08Rich Eisen:You know, it's funny. It's funny. I guess as I'm getting older, there's some memory holes. And I don't particularly recall taking this. This was 2020 during the bubble championship. I got it. That's right. Yeah, which they were richly deserved. That championship in the bubble is the hardest. It's one of the best ever earned by the Lakers. We didn't know where the world was going in 2020. The pandemic had set in. You always say that that had to be the hardest championship ever. There's lots of advancements in artificial intelligence that are good and positive, and I think that we need to look at those and move forward.

15:43Jay, do you want to chime in here on something? You got something? No, I've always grown up with family pets, dogs that sleep on the bed, and as of late, I have my own furry fella. I've been sending pictures to Chris. About what? So what do you think of my new cat? Oh, he loves it.

15:59Rich Eisen:What do you mean? Are those all your cats? Chris likes to cat sit for the neighborhood. I think that we have a guest waiting, and I'm really excited to what he has to say about. So you're sharing photographs of you with your cat to Chris? Yeah, I've been sending them there. Oh, it's so nice. Chris, do you appreciate those photographs? I'm for whatever brings Jay the most happiness and positivity in his life. In particular, you look so happy with these cats. It's like, were you at the vets? Were you at an adoption shelter? As I get older, there are holes in the memory. I don't really recall this picture.

16:39Rich Eisen:And you're drinking coffee because you love coffee, don't you, Chris? Don't you love coffee? What's your favorite type of coffee, Chris? Oh, man, there's just so many to choose from. It's really hard to pin down the most specific. Are you a dark roast type guy? Yeah, he's a dark roast guy. Yeah, yeah. The dark, light, oven. Yeah, I like all of it. You are definitely a decaf. I like all the roasted. And by the way, I don't know if you're aware, Chris, but tonight's tradition that you have where you have your draft, right? You have your burger draft. Burger draft. Where all your friends get together.

17:13Rich Eisen:This is the 10th time we've been doing it. Excellent. Well, I don't know if you're aware, though, but instead of that tonight, you and I are going to actually do something else. Surprise. We're playing pickleball because it's a great workout. You and me are playing pickleball. Yes, yes, it's a great workout. It doesn't mean how much you love it. That's all you keep talking about is what a great workout it is and the competition. Here's the thing. As well. I haven't gotten any workouts in lately because I've been a little under the weather. But yeah, I'm excited for that. Yeah, I think that's going to be a positive situation.

17:45Wouldn't you want to do pickleball instead? Because that's what I heard. Can we do it in concert? Can we do it like maybe before? I don't know. Whatever you'd like. It's your birthday. Oh, it's my birthday. It's my birthday. So I'm getting all the choices today. That's great. You don't want to pick a ball in a full stomach, Chris. I might do it before. Yeah, that's true. You should never know what's in the grab bag. I think we should do it before. Excellent. That sounds lovely.

18:07Rich Eisen:Great segment, DJ. I love what's in your grab bag. I thought it was great. I thought, Chris, I love the honesty there. And the thing, the best part about it is that all of it was off the top of our head. There was no planning involved. And the great thing is we have about 44 minutes of this positivity. About 43 and change. I'm super psyched. out about two minutes before, so it's a little less. Yeah, I'm super psyched for the rest of this hour. I can't wait to see what you guys have in store. Coming up next, Chris Brockman's favorite topic, the Buffalo Bills. I don't hate the Bills. Chad Michael Murray is coming out to talk about it.

18:43Rich Eisen:Happy birthday to you, Chris. And you, TJ. Really feeling the love. Really feeling the love. Be positive. We love you, man. Don't worry. Be happy.

20:45Rich Eisen:Chad Michael Murray here on the Rich Eisen Show. Freakier Fridays available in theaters nationwide on Friday, August 8th. It is you, Jamie Lee Curtis, Lindsay Lohan, Mark Harmon, gang back together. What was that like for you on a set, man, to see everybody back together like that? 22 years later, or whenever you shot it, obviously. It's a trip. It's like sitting in this chair. Last time I was here, it was probably 8 to 10 years ago. It's been a bit. Rex Ryan was coach of the Bills. That's how long it was. Damn. But it feels like, you know, no time's passed. You pick up where you left off. It's like those friendships you have.

21:21You see them every six months. And you just pick up where you left off. It was incredible. You walk on set and it was an absolute love fest. I love that. I think that's why the film ends up being so good. It comes through the screen. Every day, everyone hugged just a little bit longer. Because after not seeing each other for that long, you don't know the next time you're going to see each other. It was really beautiful.

21:45Rich Eisen:Yeah. Now, you know, you're parents, right? Or in the case of some others, grandparents on the set, as opposed to when you were acting together the first time, right? Like life has moved on. Best moment, and the moment that I'll take away from this picture was Lindsay and I were sitting in the back room. We were shooting the record store scene over two days, and we just were kind of in our holding cell. Nice. We just got into this big love fest talking about our babies. And I got to meet her little boy and her husband. And you could just see her glow. And I'm glowing about my babies. And I think our kids, our youngest, my youngest and her first two weeks apart.

Read the full transcript

22:24That's it. That's it. How about that? Yeah, we were just in the same boat. It was beautiful.

22:28Rich Eisen:Dude, what if I told you that when you were first shooting this movie? In fact, the original. That you were going to be sharing a moment 20-some-odd years later doing it again, talking about your babies. Man, I never would have believed you. Right. You know what I mean? I mean, I genuinely, this is one of those movies where we filmed it. It had wrapped up in a nice little bowl. I don't think I ever contemplated the idea that we would do a sequel to this. Sure. And then here we are 23 years later from the time we shot. Right. And we're doing it. And I'm going to say this. I say this carefully. Okay.

22:57It's as good, if not better. Dude. It's that good. Okay. Yeah. Because the original was pretty damn good, too. It's really good. You've got to take the kids. You've got to take the kids.

23:06Rich Eisen:August 8th, Friday. Take your kids, take everybody. I mean, and Jamie Lee Curtis is now an Oscar winner. You know what I mean? Well, see, that's the difference. You get on a set, you know, some of us are all parents now. Now it's Academy Award winning actress. That's correct. Did she demand to be introduced as that on the set every single day? No, I demanded that from everybody else. I said, guys, show, show, show, show. Show some respect. She is an unbelievable leader in every way, even at the table read, because it's such a complicated script. It really is. that sometimes you're like, who is who?

23:38Right, yeah, who's and who's... She brought hats to put, so that when you switch into character, the hat goes on.

23:44Rich Eisen:Oh. Yeah, real smart. Interesting. Just a leader from the get-go. Maybe there was a mental note she made from the early aughts, like, you know, hey, we had no idea in the table read who was who. So you had a hat, you put your hat on, everyone could follow along. There you go. This one, yeah, it can get confused. Fantastic. Okay. Speaking of, I guess, dreams coming true, Let's talk Josh Allen. Let's do it. That is dream come true. Right? Honestly. Yeah. That is what every single fan of every single team who needs a quarterback on draft night in Green Bay this year was hoping the quarterback that they drafted turns out to be Josh Allen.

24:24Rich Eisen:Like that's basically, obviously I'm just, since you're a Bills fan, I'm trying to talk your language a little bit here, but, or Lamar Jackson. One of those guys. Tom Brady or Mahomes, right? And the Bills have one of those guys now. And it's not just that we have that guy. He is the guy. He is so tried and true to Buffalo. He belongs. He's that blue-collar work ethic, one of the boys, one of the nicest human beings you'll ever meet. I'm sure you know that. He's just salt to the earth. And you couldn't ask for a better leader for this franchise. Small town, small community, a community that loves their Buffalo Bills more than anything, and he loves them back.

25:07Right. True leader, and he's the guy that's going to take us to the promised land. You think so, huh? I mean, because it's just this year. This year. This is the year. This is the year. And I hate to say it. I hate to be a prognosticator and say this is the year. Last year, there were so many people. Last year, I said next year, not this year. Next year.

25:29Rich Eisen:Going into what you were saying? Going into the year, I'm saying, guys, it's not this year. It's next year. Made sense. You know, Keon Coleman will be a year older, and Dalton Kincaid will be a year older, and they'll continue to build and develop everything. Right. All of a sudden, they end up making it to the AFC Championship, and you're sitting there going, okay, I did not see this coming. That just goes to show what a unit they are, right? This year, they've added those extra pieces. And so, obviously, barring injury, which you just never know. And, of course, the schedule gods, they did us a few favors.

26:00Right. I mean, we have three incredibly difficult games. Every game's difficult, but three really difficult ones. You've got the Eagles, Chiefs, and Baltimore. Right. All in Buffalo. In the last year of the stadium. And what would be better than have the AFC Championship as the last game ever played in that stadium and the new stadium to hoist? I don't say, I'm not going to call it if they win it or not. They're going to be in the big game. I don't know if they'll win it. They might wait until year one of the new stadium.

26:28Rich Eisen:Yeah, I mean, you know, again, the phrase that constantly is thrown out there about the Buffalo Bills fans is what? One before I die, pretty much. There's one before I die. Right, and there's a documentary that is being made right now that you've signed on as being an executive producer of that documentary. Yes, sir, you're in it. I've sat down for it because, you know, our coordinating producer who's sitting in the back right now, Mike Hoskins, is as diehard a Bills fan as I've ever come across. Go Bills, buddy. Yeah, he's with you. It's kind of funny. I'm just calling it out. I know he hears me.

27:02Rich Eisen:He is. Well, he did. He said, go, Bill's in my ear right back at you. And, you know, it's kind of funny. He is as professional as they come, and he's as terrific as they are. It just always seems like he's got a Josh Allen photograph at the ready, don't you think, every single time that this is being discussed? He's always got one up now. Pop one up now. There he is. I'm sure he's got it. There you go. Boom. Yeah. I know I had this great artist. he does these paintings in like 10 minutes and he did this beautiful Josh Allen and I wish his name wasn't escaping me right now he did this beautiful it's like 12 minutes and he does this Josh Allen with his hand and I went on social media I saw him do it and I'm like oh god I need that I'm like bro what do I gotta pay you for it and he goes dude don't even worry about it I can't even believe you want this painting I'm like I got a place for it awesome so boom this big old Josh paint I mean it's huge right there in the game room in the basement ready to go Let's do this right now, Chad Michael Murray, because what would it look like if they do pull it off and win it all?

28:01Rich Eisen:What would that town look like night of the game through the final speech of a parade? Do you want to even want to go there? Or is that just bad juju? No, no, no. No, I'm not there. I'm not there on that. I believe, so 10 years ago, the city would have exploded. And I'm talking jumping on cars, probably fires downtown, like total and utter mayhem because people just lose it. They're so over the moon, blown away. But now that we've had a taste of success and it's felt so good to be back in the Bills Mafia and to have a feeling of what it was like when I was a kid in the 90s and you had Jim and Thurman and Bruce and those guys.

28:46I think it's just going to be an absolute love fest. I think there's going to be tears. There's going to be jumping on cars and crashing through tables, but a little bit safer than it would have been 10 years ago. The city will throw. Josh Allen's getting a key to the city. McDermott's getting a key to the city. Bean's getting a key to the city. You know, Deion's getting a key to the city. They're just going to hand them out to everybody.

29:07Rich Eisen:Everybody gets a key to the city. Everyone gets a key to the city. And, yeah, like, I mean, I'm not going to lie. I will. I'm going to cry. I know it. And I can feel it. I can see it. And we're going to make a deal now. Okay. Because, you know, you've probably never been to a Super Bowl being regizing. So here's the deal. When the Bills are in the Super Bowl this year. Yes, sir. You can be my guest. Okay. I'm taking you. Okay. We're going together. It's in San Francisco. All right. I'm going to go. I'm going to buy tickets. It's in San Francisco. Cool. We'll just cruise up. We'll do a trip. Josh Allen's home state.

29:41Rich Eisen:There you go. As we know, he's from Fireball, California, by way of Wyoming now in western New York. We drove through Fireball. we were heading to uh who's we my my family we were driving through yes and uh i go oh there's fireball that's where from josh allen's from and they go where i go it's okay we'll see on the way back it's one exit right and on the way back we stopped and you know looked around see no hold on a second you stop in fireball california what were you hoping what were you hoping like right off the exit would be josh allen's boyhood home and you'd see it no but they should put a placard out at least come on man like you drive directions you drive through chickasaw they've got like carrie underwood's face right off the freeway like where's josh allen's you know come on right little statue there right off the exit no i it's more about for me it's energy you know i just love the energy of knowing you know universally that somebody came through this point at some time living a life in existence that they couldn't see the future, but they were here in this moment in time, and they couldn't see what was going to happen.

30:46I love that.

30:46Rich Eisen:Well, I mean, this is a poor analogy. It's the same church, totally wrong pew here, is that friends and I, when we were out in Long Island, years and years and years and years ago, it was probably when I just either got out of college or was in high school, I forget when, but we were on, you know, like one of the expressways out there, and we passed the exit for Amityville, and we thought let's just pull off and go see the house and as you do and we pull off the roadway and then we're on a couple of streets and we're like what a bunch of morons like that it's just the house is right there we had no idea where the hell it was none this is pre-gps days and then we just we felt stupid thomas guide there was no thomas guy no thomas guy no no this is new york not los angeles sir so we we uh we just got back on the road like how dumb but at least you and your family, your beautiful family can say you've been to the hometown of Josh Allen.

31:41Rich Eisen:You got that in your back pocket. Come on, man. You got bucket lists? You got to check things off? No, look. We met him originally. First time we met Josh was I want to say it was his rookie season or second season. And he was so loving and caring to my kids. And he's holding them up and we're on the field. Just like the whole thing. And I just had so much respect for the man right away. There was never an ounce of ego and all that stuff. He's just a good human. And that's really what it's about. It's about showing your kids what real leadership looks like. Going, you know, these are the kind of guys you can look up to.

32:14You know, good humans. And he just happens to be a Buffalo Bill.

32:18Rich Eisen:He just happens to be a Buffalo Bill. Go, Bills. All right. So now it's time for you to, I guess, put your fandom where your mouth is right now. Here we go. We have the win-loss game that we like to play here with fans of teams. I'm going to walk you one by one through the schedule. and you tell me win-loss and we're going to find out at the very end what you think the Buffalo Bills are going to go this year. And we know you're saying they're going to go to the Super Bowl, but we need to find out what their regular season record is. Chad Michael Murray, Freaky Friday in theaters near you nationwide.

32:50Rich Eisen:I wish I were prepped. Here we go. It's okay. You've got this. I mean, you want to talk about a piece of filet mignon, the home opener in the final season of Highmark, formerly known as Rich Stadium. Okay, here we go. The Baltimore Ravens come in with revenge on their minds on Sunday Night Football Week 1. What happens, Chad Michael Murray? Win-loss. I'm taking, and guys, don't judge me for this. Don't hate me, Buffalo. That's the one I'm going to take an L on. You're taking an L to start 0-1. Correct. Is that because you know they're at the Jets next? Is that why you're saying that or what? Well, yeah, there's no offense, Rich, but yeah, they're getting a win there.

33:29Rich Eisen:There's no offense, but as you know, sometimes it's not all peaches and cream. and met life for the Buffalo Bills. It's not because of that. I think that that Baltimore team has a chip on their shoulder. That Baltimore team is the AFC's version of the Eagles. That team had two MVP runners, not one. They have Lamar and Derrick Henry. That is a very tough team to stop. The Bills played a phenomenal, perfect game in that playoff game. I was there. It was awesome. It was so much fun. I bet. Took the boy. It was great. but I just feel like, you know what? If you're going to let one slide, it's going to be week one.

34:09I got it. And you're going to learn from it. Understood. And you're going to go.

34:11Rich Eisen:So you're 1-1 now, going back home Thursday night against the Dolphins. What happens? Win. Okay. Now you're home for the Saints. Win. 3-1 home for the Patriots. Win. Four wins in a row at the Falcons on a Monday night. Win. 5-1 off the bye at Carolina. Win. Six and one. Now on a six-game win streak with the Chiefs coming in. Late window, CBS. What happens? What a game. What a game. It's a win. Okay. That's where they clinched home field advantage for the playoffs. Yeah, okay. That game. Seven and one. Seven and one they clinched. Week nine. Don't forget, they clinched the division with five games to go last year.

34:53Rich Eisen:Mentally. Mentally, that's the game that gives them the advantage that's going to give them home field and beat the potential Chiefs or Ravens in Buffalo. Okay, so now we're 7-1, 7-game win streak at the Dolphins. Win. 8-1, home for the Bucs. That's going to be a really close game, and I think it's a trip game. I really do. But because it's, what's the date? It is November 16th. Mm-hmm. 8-1. What happens against the Bucs? Overtime field goal, Buffalo. Okay. By the way, that's an interesting nugget right there. If that happens, oh my god. I'm calling you for the power ball. 9-1 at the Texans on a Thursday night.

35:44Win. 10-1 at the Steelers to take on Aaron Rodgers. That's a tough one. That's a really tough one. You're in Pittsburgh. and I don't know no one knows what that team looks like all we know is that defense is great we know they've got a lot of weapons which Aaron Rodgers are we getting Jets Aaron Rodgers or are we getting Packers Aaron Rodgers I'm going to go ahead and say it's a

36:13Rich Eisen:W that's 11 wins in a row after a season opening loss against the Ravens you now have 11 and 1 home for Joe Burrow and the Bengals I'll take an L Okay Now you're 11-2 at the Patriots Win 12-2 at the Browns Win 13-2 home for the Eagles Lost preview of the Super Bowl Okay, and then home for the Jets Win In our red helmets To finish up the regular season Yeah, I didn't know if you knew this, Rich I'm just going to throw this out there But they might have I got a little secret for you We're going to be wearing some red helmets in that game. Okay. You just got to bring them back. Oh, and by the way, Mike Hoskins has the photograph ready.

37:00I knew he did. I was waiting, and I'm like, you know, I know Rich knows all this stuff already, but come on.

37:06Rich Eisen:Actually, I didn't. Mike Hoskins, in the middle of your first comments about the Bills, got in my ear and said, you know they're wearing red helmets in honor of the 90s. He's bringing them back. I did that game. That's going to be electric in that stadium. Of course, it's the Jets. Of course, it's the Jets to close out. Hi, Mark. I know. I feel bad for you. Hold on a second. Hey, look, I was a Bills fan for 17 years in the drought, so I know what that's like. I know. I've been there. Well, I'm 56 years old. I'm 56 years into a drought. Fair. You know, but to just bring back the clip we saw, I'm also about 20 years into the hair drought.

37:43So, all good. Hey, congrats. You look good, by the way. I've got to be honest. Did he go higher register on that one?

37:50Rich Eisen:I don't think so. Let's talk about this for a second. Pull up clips from the last time I was on the show. Rich looks younger than last time. How about that? And I wanted to ask you this. Ever since you started Run Rich Run, has it changed because you started training for it, and then you stopped, and you're like, I want to see where I go naturally. Has it changed the way you eat and take care of yourself? The answer is no and no. No? Yes. and that is much to the consternation of my wife. She's not a fan of me not training, especially since Jim Harbaugh offered me the training facility of the Los Angeles Chargers that's down the street.

38:27Rich Eisen:And you took it. That's another no. I haven't yet taken it, but I shall. I will do that. You look great. Thank you. Now that was higher register, wasn't it? I don't think so. I don't think so. Thank you, sir. I appreciate that. Thanks for coming on. Let's not do this every 10 years. What do you think? No, no, let's do it again. Let's do it. We'll come back and we'll do it again. So that's three losses, right? This 14-3 would definitely be the one seed that you're looking for, I think. I agree. Certainly since you've got a back pocket win against the Chiefs, although that week one Ravens loss might sting.

39:05Rich Eisen:You never know. The Ravens. We'll see what they do. They're so good. The NFC North is tough, though, bro. I mean, as you know. Yeah, they're going to cannibalize each other. And so the Chargers are going to surprise some people. I think they're going to, I mean, look, we'll never bet against Patrick Mahomes. And that Chiefs team is hungry and angry. Well, I know the next time you're coming on, you're coming on Monday, November 10th. No, pardon me. Monday, November 17th, after the Bills have an overtime walk-off field goal win over the Buccaneers. You heard it here first. And you're going to bring me the Powerball numbers on that Monday.

39:41Rich Eisen:I'm going to put them in the parking. Book it. Your entire team's over here. Book it. That's going to happen Monday, November 17th. Chad and Michael Murray back on the Rich Eisen Show. Take that massive victory lap and make me a billionaire. Fantastic. Thanks for the time, brother. Hey, dude, thanks for having me. 40:48Rich Eisen:Terms and conditions apply. I'm wondering if this is the same individual who used to call on the show quite a bit. Mike in Jacksonville, Florida. You're on the Rich Eisen Show. Are you there, Mike? Good afternoon, gentlemen. Okay. Hello, Brockman. That's it. Yes, it's me. It is you, Mike. Good to hear from you. Just my schedule has changed. It's harder for me to call in. Okay. I've made some time today. Perfect day for you to call in, Mike. Perfect day for you to call in. TJ, happy birthday. Hey, thanks, Mike. Appreciate you. Christopher, happy birthday. Michael, thank you. In honor of TJ's wish about you being positive, I need you to say something positive about how it was good for the NFL that the Patriots got caught in Spygate.

41:31Oh, my gosh. Oh, wow.

41:34Rich Eisen:Mike in Jacksonville. I mean, with a pulse, skiing high heat. Rich, that's super-flipped looking coming off the top of the cage. Mike, we haven't heard from him in years, and it looks like he hasn't lost a step. Yeah, he was waiting for this. So, Chris, your thoughts? Not going to do that. Okay. You won't do it. Come on, man. It's only nine minutes left, bro. I don't understand how it was. Nothing about that situation was positive for anyone involved. Look at you. That's a good answer. Good answer. Okay. Like family feud. Good answer. Good answer, man. Mike and Jackson. I will give Christopher credit.

42:10He was the best player on your team. Nothing personal against anybody else, but he was the best player on your team. I agree. That was one for one.

42:17Rich Eisen:Oh, yeah, Jay Feller just didn't have many opportunities because he was fifth in the order. No, he was one for one. I know. He had three. But those Super Bowls still deserve an asterisk, I just want to remember. And, Chris, please do, I will say this, do not let Rich Berger shame you. Thank you. That's such a great tradition you have with your friends. Look at this. Mike and Jacksonville, everybody. Mike, great to hear from you, man. Be well. While we have only a few minutes left of Chris having to be positive about everything, the Giants named Russell Wilson the starting quarterback. I do believe Brian Dable, did he talk about that he named Russell Wilson the starter?

42:53Rich Eisen:And Russell Wilson's reaction to Brian Dable's announcing the starter said that, about an urgency to win, he said, no matter what the circumstances are, your urgency should always be high. The best part of winning is the incremental moments that help you win. Hopefully I can bring some of that winning culture, winning mindset. And he says, when you have gratitude and joy, it takes the fear away. You're able to focus on the moment. And Chris, don't you think that's exactly the outlook the Giants need? I totally agree with that. This whole hour I've been trying to channel Russell Wilson, Mr. Positivity himself.

43:35You know, the best part about this time of year is all the training camp videos. I've seen a few touchdowns that Russell has thrown to Malik neighbors. Those look very good. I like to snag Malik in fantasy this year.

43:47Rich Eisen:So I've got a question for you as well, just to finish up. When asked about the belief that Brian Dable has in him to be the starter, he said, quote, my mentality is always to be the best in the world. Do you think he's got the chance to be the best in the world for the Giants this year? The best in the world at what? Football. Football. And throwing it. I think he's the best option on their team right now to be the quarterback of the Giants. But he can't go back to the future here? He can't go back to being a Russ? No, I wouldn't rule anything out. As we saw with Chad, freak your Friday, body switching.

44:23He could switch bodies with younger Russ. You never know. One last thing before you go. When the pressure's on, you find out what's really built to last.
