- Fans are “fickle” for wanting Roman Reigns heel tactics but booing Cody when he uses similar heel methods.
- Liv Morgan vs. Stephanie Viqueira feels increasingly personal and could be set up for Liv to win a title.
- Roxanne Perez’s return is a major positive; AJ Lee’s presence could enable a dream match.
- Raquel Rodriguez winning over Io Sky was a standout moment, despite a scary-looking spot involving Io’s dive.
- The women’s tag title fatal four-way could be a “perfect storm” for the Bella Twins to win at WrestleMania.
- New tag champions were crowned in a New York street fight; the hosts discuss the Usos’ music change and the “Vision” needing Logan/Austin to stay prominent.
Notable examples
- Stephanie slaps Cody; Stephanie claims Madison Square Garden for the McMahon family.
- Liv’s visceral villainy during the Liv/Stephanie brawl.
- Fan-video clip where Io’s foot gets clipped on a dive.

0:35ladies and gentlemen finally it is time for another wednesday episode of the no contest wrestling podcast no contest is back when we belong in your ear i am the heel that you want to hate oshay jackson jr a k a petty guerrero this way i went because i went this way but no you're actually this way hey yo yeah it's me it's me it's the t-double-o the j-i-double-g-2-j-g-t-j jefferson here and you know the other yesterday i was talking to o'shea on the phone because you know he's he's not in town and i was like man i'm thinking about maybe just stop doing my intro like the way i do it and you were like you didn't even make a year with it so yeah throwing the gimmick out already so because of that i'm like yeah you're right you're right so i'll keep doing it But what's up, man?
1:29What's cracking? TJ, I keep saying this, but I don't know if you looked out the window, but we are on the road. We are on the road to WrestleMania. And this card, on paper, on paper, is looking kind of thick. It's looking kind of right. And, yeah, man, we even got an unsanctioned match. Does that count for the card? it's getting crazy we got Stephanie McMahon coming back that was wild Roxanne made her return we got a new US champ we got new tag champs we got a bunch of stuff to get into today it's just going to be us yapping today but we your boys we your boys you want to hear our opinion come on now let's do like your boy Trick Willie says and let's talk about it.
2:28Let's talk about it. Let's talk about Monday Night Raw on Monday because that's when it's the most raw is on Monday night. Cody comes out. We see the return of Stephanie McMahon and she's out there to get in Cody's air a little bit. Right? Stephanie knows how violent and how sadistic Randy Orton can be as it was pointed out. She, you know, she was the victim of a punt and you know a handcuff to the rope and a bunch of dastardly deeds that ramble k did back in the day and she's basically coming out to tell cody look man this whole white meat baby face qb one thing you got going on it's gonna get your ass kicked by randy orton unless you flip a switch and then you know she does what steph does and she said what does the five fingers say to the face slapped the taste out of his mouth and it really felt like are you coming out here for advice?
3:27I feel like you're just, are you mad at me? It really feels like you're mad at me. And she came out with a little bit of tough love. They had a little bit of back and forth. They had some back and forth. You ain't your daddy. You ain't your daddy neither. And bro, that was, you know, in the garden, the garden was going. And, you know, I kind of dug a little bit how she came out and claimed Madison Square Garden for the McMahon family. And, you know, I get it, get a little Rose McMahon drama. But, yeah, she told Cody, like, dog, you're going to have to reach into a place that I don't think you've shown here.
4:09And you need to get there. And that is the first time that I kind of felt like, is Randy going to win? Is Randy going to win this? It's the first time you felt like that? Yeah, man, because, you know, I've been preaching this. There's no way they make Cordell Rhodes lose back-to-back manias. Back-to-back manias? You did QB1? They're going to make you lose back-to-back manias? So I never thought anything of it. But it's a little bit more juicy of a story if Cody can't get there and Randy does prevail because then Cody is going to have to go there to get it back. in me so it it it made me it made my gears start turning which is what this time of year does but yeah this is the first time i thought oh there's a there's a window of opportunity right here for it to make sense for them to put the 15 on randy yeah i mean that was kind of always my thought right off the bat that randy would get it but yeah man it just made sense and it it i think it took it up a notch right because now cody whether he admits it or not now he's in his head a little bit he has to be based upon what she says now we're going to see what does he do to to take it to the next level for himself all i know is this you know you always want somebody is on top for a while of course you're always going to get a percentage of the fan base no matter how small to turn on them right and people like oh we want him hill hill hill but remember all those years when they wanted Roman to be a heel right and then he finally became a heel and he does things that heels do and then people like we can't win a match without the Usos he can't win without his family well yeah because that's what heels do and you said for years you wanted him to be a heel so now he's a heel and now you're mad because he's using heel tactics and techniques to win a title Like, that's not how this works.
6:18I don't understand the fan, the wrestling fan who watches wrestling and doesn't see the format. Like, doesn't see, like, the same things that we see, you know? How do you not pick up on something like that? Something like, oh, well, haven't you seen this four years? like haven't you seen this type of uh of match ending before like you you know the ins and outs and choose to be what just just just you're acting dumb and i hate when people act dumb yeah you smarter than this man are they though i don't know no offense i don't know i don't know i don't know anymore i thought we all were watching the same show but sometimes man i i really couldn't tell you.
7:11But yeah, he's a heel. These are heel tactics. This is what the heels do. And be careful what you wish for. Be careful what you wish for. Because that same Roman Reigns told y 'all that you thought the grass was going to be greener with Cody being the champ. And my man can't get a year in without you guys booing him. Fickle! Fickle. Fickle, I say, TJ. BD told you all that years ago. Fickle fans. Or DB, depending on how you want to. BD or DB. you know, but he said, both of them, both, both of them said, both of them. By the way, you know, I was going to talk about this later, but since you brought it up about fans be like that video of the fan outside of, I guess, an airport.
7:54And I'm assuming probably in New York who was mad that Stephanie Vicar didn't want to give him an autograph. Did you see? Yes. And then she had to go on. It was like, it was my birthday, but I was having a bad day. First of all, the champ should never have a bad day on their birthday. So whoever did it, whoever made her have a bad day, I'm hitting up Dan Housen. I'm going to have him put that thing on you. The thing on you. Because you deserve to have it put on you. But another thing, man, we got to understand. Like, yeah, I understand. You see these athletes, you know, whether it be traditional sports or wrestling, you see them out in the open, out in the wild, and you kind of feel like you have this connection to them because you've watched them, you know, you've bought their merch, you've bought posters, you've gone to see them wrestle.
8:43And so you feel you have this connection, which for some people, and thank goodness, not everybody, but for some people kind of makes them feel they have some type of ownership somewhat, you know, over these people. And here's the thing, you have a relationship with them, they do not have a relationship with you, right? Because you're, unfortunately, we as fans, we're one of millions. And millions. And millions, TJ. So, yeah, that was really, I don't know, that was very disturbing to kind of see that. And it wasn't bad. There wasn't any type of physical activity or anything. You know, he didn't get up in her fate that we saw.
9:24But it's still like, first and foremost, yo, these are women, three women. And maybe that had something to do with it because it appeared to be Stephanie Lyra. And I think Roxanne, right. So obviously two of those three probably shouldn't be hanging out with the third one. Right. Yeah. Storyline and wrestling wise, but whatever three women dog. And they're out there solo. You know, you can't be making them feel uncomfortable. And I just got to say, we as fans, we just got to do better, man. You always hear the stories. Stop waiting at airports. I was supposed to say, we hear all the stories about the airports, which is kind of, okay, I get the airport because it's an airport.
10:05But then you get hotel situations. That's like coming to someone's crib. And that, to me, is even more kind of weird than the airport. Maybe that's just how I take it. But, like, you get to the telly hotel, you're supposed to be chill, have a feeling of safety. I can see why, you know, some people in those situations will act that way towards fans, man. We just got to do better. That's just my TED Talk on that to all wrestling fans. I'm sorry, but especially, and I hope this doesn't make me sound sexist or anything, but especially when it comes to the female superstars that are out there by themselves, you've got to just give them grace and leave them alone.
10:47Yeah, man. Some of my ugliest times on earth were after I was asleep on a plane for a few hours. wake up eyes red don't know where i am just trying to get to baggage plan get out you know it's a level of etiquette that we have to have and i get it from the fan perspective too you sat out there you're waiting but you gotta know going in this is a risk yeah like there is a chance that this person might just walk past me i remember uh back in the day i had took a lady out to a Stevie Wonder concert, his ass walked by me like he ain't seen me. So it's just like it's a risk that you have to take as a fan, knowing that this person could just not talk to me.
11:38I gotta apologize. On behalf of my partner for that, that was That's a true story, man. That was so out of pocket. I still don't know what the problem was. That was so on behalf of no contest wrestling, I gotta apologize for my man there. I'm the bad guy now. He the one that is? All right. But, you know, glad to see Stephanie is safe, except when it comes to Roxanne, apparently. Roxanne came back and returned to help live, just dismantled Stephanie. And I don't know what's going on, TJ, but there's some heat behind every word, every promo, every altercation with Liv and Steph. I'm hoping, I'm thinking they're just two really good actresses because if you didn't know any better, you'd think, yo, these two really got safe.
12:38I think that's a testament to how well they're doing their job. Yeah, because that brawl that they had when Liv came out with Dom, the first bit of contact, I was like, damn, Stephanie came in hot. And then from there, it was like, there's not a lot of technique happening. You know, there's not a lot of like, there's not a lot of finesse going on. And the slam backstage, how hard lived through Stephanie into the screens. it just felt like oh man this um like they they really going after it all right this is what i'm talking about and then live i don't think i've ever heard her this visceral right like she is mean as hell right now like she wasn't this mad at ria for uh you can remember back in the day all live wanted to do before judgment day where all she wanted to do was be ria's friend remember at that point they tagged up for a while they start losing ria got mad she turned on live and beat the crap out of live if you recall and then live came back and then she heard ria and then everyone got mad at live but it was like yo your girl started this right man because y 'all fell in love you know but even in even in that situation stephanie doesn't seem as vicious or i'm sorry Liv doesn't seem as vicious and hate-filled as she is right now.
14:12So like I said, these women, they've come a long way from bra and panties matches. They've come a long way from the mud wrestling. And they're getting out there. And they're throwing down to the point where it's almost like, yo, relax. So big ups to them, man. You know, for every WrestleMania feud buildup that people are complaining about online, And there are a few. It's like, are you not paying attention to the ones? And I think we may have touched on this last week. Not paying attention to the ones that are really good. And this one, man, is this has been really good so far. Yeah, it really feels like Liv has stepped up to another level as far as the, you know, when we see Liv, Liv knows like the cackling and stuff like that is meant to bug you.
15:04It's meant to get in your head. But this is like, this is some real villainy that we're watching, you know? And it's impressive. And if it's not authentic, it is even more impressive. And Stephanie, you know how I feel. You know how I feel. I feel that this has been just a setup for Liv to get this title. They don't even have Stephanie at the poker table. Like, they don't even have her in the WrestleMania poker table. So, like, is there a little bit of I'm being disrespected as champ? Is she reading the same tea leaves that I am? It's a number of things. We don't want to speculate. We don't want nothing getting out there and spreading wings.
15:57but like as a fan I know what I'm seeing and I know what I'm feeling I can't help but think this way it's gonna be a juicy ass match you know Liv has the numbers Liv has the numbers but that Stephanie Viqueira is one of the baddest to ever do it so by the way that was our whole PSA about this build up to this match and leave him alone, man. I don't want to see more videos of people accosting and trash-talking this woman. This is a no-contest wrestling TED Talk about how to treat your favorite WWE and all wrestling superstars and just people in general, man, I guess.
16:45I'm going to text you something. No, no, nothing. Something wrong with me, man. Nothing. Like I said, we touched on it briefly. we got the return of our girl Roxanne it was good to see her come back and I've told you like last year one of the slight subtle things that Roxanne does that I love is when she starts to wow out and throw punches at people just the way she lets out that scream I think it's such a subtle thing but it's like it just shows how she's like losing it and I love when she's down there like ah so anyway that's just I think that's pretty good I'm just happy she's back while AJ Lee is still, you know, like, yeah, we know what's set up right now with her and Becky, but like, we know how much it means to her that AJ is back.
17:35And the more that she's around while AJ is here and doing her thing and on top of her game, we might get that dream match that Roxanne's wanted. But I mean, the thing about AJ Lee is she means that to so many women, you know, but Roxanne just being one of them but yeah go ahead and read that he just sent me a text let's see what it says
18:08this dude ain't right I'm just gonna say that NCW fans and friends there's something wrong with your boy
18:19but anyway so yeah we got that So, you know, we talked about the Stephanie, the man slap. We talked about, you know, Liv, Raquel. Oh, actually, we didn't get to Raquel yet. That's the next thing I wanted to get to. We talked about Liv and Steph. We talked about Roxanne. So then we have two-thirds of the women in the Judgment Day. Now Raquel, she had a match against Io, which, you know, look, Big Mommy Cool got that dub. Dominant. Dominant dub, man. and just like first of all i want to say too hello raquel but um yeah man but what had the bigger part of this story of that match to me is you couldn't really tell on the broadcast but then you saw fan videos of right before the tahana bomb eo went and did a dive out of the ring to try to take out oscar because oscar and kairi well it seems like oscar forced kairi to the ring yeah leo went to go dive to take out oscar but she kind of hit the top rope and man when you see it from a fan video and i'm sure if you search instagram you'll see it i'll probably post it on our no contest page as well he'll kind of just didn't get her whole body through so her foot got clipped and she kind of went boom and it i gotta be honest when i saw it I kind of gasped.
19:41I was like, oh, it looked awful. And it's just one of those cases, bro, where like another inch or two, you only want to think about what could have happened. Now she popped right back up. She kind of did her bit with Kyrie and then Raquel pulled her up, roughed her off a little bit and got the pin. But bro, because you could tell on the broadcast that she didn't quite hit it that right, but then she hopped back up. But on the fan videos, dog, it looked terrible, man. It was scary. It reminded me of watching Shane McMahon land on his head. It reminded me of just recently when we saw Braun Breaker in war games land on his head.
20:27And remember, they stopped showing him for a long time. Like, yo, is he okay? I mean, it was scary. It happens quite frequently. I mean not I guess in the big scheme of things the amount of time people do it but it does happen and man it just and plus you know we love EO so that affected me a little bit more I was just like lord stop the damn man somebody check on her please EO and also matter of fact hold on WWE let me talk to you come in here if you ever have EO Sky and Raquel pop up on the screen without their entrances shown? Come on. What are we doing? We got 90 minutes. What are we doing?
21:21They just popped in like they some nobodies. What am I talking about? We got three hours. Not 90 minutes. Where do I get 90 minutes from? There's three hours. There's three hours. And you mean to tell me that two of your biggest female stars don't get an entrance? Not one? Like, let alone just like, hey, we just, you know, can we shave this one? Both! They just appeared in the ring? That was crazy. No, I can't say I didn't like it because I like it any time the two of them are on screen, but I would have liked to see in the process to get them that same. Yeah, they can't get their entrances on TV was wild, man.
22:01EO is a multiple-time world champion. Like, we got to have our etiquette, our boundaries, bro. And that was, yeah, that was crazy. But hopefully EO is fine. She is the genius of disguise. She has done some wild things in her career. So I think she's all right. I hope so, man, because like I said, it looked really bad. But I think the big news here is people didn't probably expect Raquel to get that dub. but she did, man. Yo, I know people say this, that, and the third about Kevin Nash, but yo, ever since that tweet, ever since he told her you need to start, you're bigger and stronger and everybody, you should start working like it.
22:47She's been her to take those words. She took those words and she used it. Because some people can take words like that and then internalize them and use them to make themselves better. Other people you know gonna take them as a sign of disrespect watch your mouth and help us with sale you know it just depends but you know it was valid and she she's turned it all around so big ups to Raquel another one of our friends and you know the most important thing is the hard r's are back oh yeah the hard that's right folks are back hard hours are so been a it's been a long time but we got the hard hours back.
23:31So, you know, just another thing. But what, am I tripping? What is, what are their plans for Raquel going to be going into mania? I don't, what are we doing? Any plans for Raquel over there? Because I'm looking at all the matches and I do not, unless I'm tripping I don't see her anywhere so we gotta rectify that situation that's two days that's eight hours worth of wrestling tell me we can't get a six foot you know Amazon goddess in there on this card at some point like come on right and you know it could be if Roxanne didn't get hurt they probably would have been in that tag team debacle that's happening over there.
24:25But, I mean, come on. You kind of threw Seth into WrestleMania. You're just jumping ahead of stuff right now. I'm in my bag today. I'm just saying. Let me catch up. Who knows? You brought up the tag team situation and that was Lash and Nia. I think I called this a few weeks ago, but we're going to get Nash and Laya. Did I just say that? last year with lyra and all of that i'm lucky you got that far but we're going to get that as as a tag team right now we've got the irresistible forces the champions of course against alexa bliss and charlotte flair against the bella twins and against bailey and lyra that is right now the women's tag team championship match so i gotta be honest it's new york right and i get it i didn't I love the crowd on Monday.
25:17I thought they were especially a little bit quiet during that tag team match. And then when all the other four women came out, it got, I don't know, man. It just, the crowd just didn't seem to be into it, which was a little bit strange to me. Oh man. Yeah. That, um, you don't want that. Yeah, it definitely was a little awkward during that segment. I felt like promo wise, they were, you know, they were where they needed to be. But, you know, maybe a couple of match spots, they weren't necessarily engaged. But with this match, there is, I mean, just looking at it, it took all them women to jump.
26:06Lash and Night alright and it should be you know easy pickings but it's a fatal four way fatal four way so I'm going to go out on a limb here they're going to kill me for this TJ and I'm going to pick the Bella Twins to come out of this match as champions. You didn't call Bree back for no reason. Yeah, that's a good point. You didn't call her back for no reason. And if you let them retain, they're about to go on a crazy run. Yeah, I mean, that's interesting. There will never be any Bella Twins slander spoken here or tolerated here. Unless his general manager weren't for fantasy football. Oh, yeah.
26:59They're awful fantasy football players. helped lead me to one of my worst records of all time but that that not you know this isn't fantasy today we're talking right you know wrestling but that that's a good point bro maybe um i just i don't know did you watch lash legend in that match did you see the way this woman was moving did you see how do you see how big and strong she is and how athletic she is and it's it's kind of getting on my nerves the way the crowd like is dead silent it's like are you amazed at what you're seeing because at one point she got off a hold she hit the rope she did like a flying I think it was a Cesaro style almost flying uppercut hit somebody got up someone else with the clothes and I was like yo she moving last legend is a problem bro okay so she is a problem and then Naya is just you know how are you going to be at this team.
28:00I just, I, right. But which is why I don't see the Bellas in a one-on-one, you know, Bree coming back from as long as she's been gone, you're, you're to have them beat them in a one-on-one setting makes a lash look bad because she's been training all this time, you know? So the perfect storm is biggest stage. They get to have the moment. It's a fatal four-way. Anything can happen. It's a fatal four-way. It's chaos. The champions don't need to be pinned. Surprise roll-ups. Exactly. I think this is a nice little spot for the Bellas to get their first ever tag titles at WrestleMania. Great moment.
28:50Nice and viral. And then, you know, when they want their rematch, business will be had. Remember, there's no more contractual rematches. Oh, my goodness. Who knows when they'll get it back? Whenever they want is the answer. Yeah, I mean, to me, it makes sense for the champions to retain. But now after you said that and I kind of thought about it, yeah, maybe. And those two aren't even involved in the pin. So they still stay strong. Strong as hell. I don't know how you can't make them. I don't think there's anything you do to make them not look strong. except for, you know, if maybe Alexa were to knock out, you know, one of them with a punch and then it might be like, all right, go.
29:33Right. I would need Alexa. Alexa's got that five foot of furies. You know, you know, she got them hands. So no, I would need Alexa bliss to contort herself into a ball and Charlotte player launch her across the ring for me to believe it. It's just, it is what it is. You set up these Amazons, dude, and it is going to take the perfect storm to beat them. But a fatal four-way is chaos. It can come from any direction. They have to constantly have their head on a swivel. Because it's not about what you're doing. It's about what everyone else is doing, too. Exactly, man. Exactly. So, you know, we'll be keeping our eye on that situation there.
30:17And speaking of tag team champions, we got some new ones. and and and you called this you suggested this a couple weeks ago on twitter in order to kind of save the vision as a group they needed to give theory and logan the tag team championships or otherwise you might as well just let this whole thing kind of blow away in the dust and and that's what happened in new york street fight that didn't seem very new york you know what there was nothing new york really about it you know i went to see maybe you know some a pretzel cart you know uh some hot dog stand, you know, I've gotten some of my favorite donuts, like I said, in New York, maybe just something to make this seem like this was, this was a New York type thing.
31:03And I didn't get that feel. I didn't get that. It was just in New York. Yeah. You know, but you had the Usos coming out with a new song, which kind of made sense because they kind of needed a song if they're going to stay a tag team because they're using Jay's song and yet when the song happened it didn't seem like the crowd was feeling it and you said they weren't feeling it but I also said it's because nobody was expecting it you know right bro when I saw them colors when I saw that green pop up I was like who didn't resist oh no I know they didn't do it again. I know I'm going to turn up this TV.
31:50And I know they did not do what I think they did. It's just us. Hold on. What does that even mean? What do you mean? It's just us. It's just the two of them. Yeah, but like the Roman thing is two years ago. So like we can't be like, it's just us. Like, that don't sound good. That's not like, hey, oh, yo, who is that? Oh, don't worry. It's just us. Like, bro, it's just us. It's not. I want day one-ish. All right? Down sense. They already had it. Classic banger. Everyone knows it. We would have still been eating because it's the same beat. How many times have you heard me yell it, add a match, or tweet it out?
32:40Line them all up. Knock them down like this. Come on. You didn't need to do anything. Man, that right there is like changing the Hardys music. It's like changing the Duffy's music. You wouldn't do it, right? Well, actually, they've both gone through a few different songs, but I see what you're saying. Man, listen, when I know the Hardys is coming out, I want to hear...
33:12that's what i'm trying to hear but some people anything else takes the air out the building yeah unless you hear
Read the full transcript
33:23you hear that and it's like oh you know it's just like right why why right before me right Like, why are we doing this? Like, why do y 'all trip on yourself so much? Why are you changing the song before Mania for one match only to have them lose? Like, what was the point of doing that? Oh, yeah, they suck now. Like, bro, like, and you, like, everybody in the world's most famous arena, which you keep telling me every single chance you get. Well, it is. It is.
34:06nope that was the quietest i've ever i've heard a new so entrance in probably what the last two and a half years three years because one no one knew the new song tomato and tomato tomato tomato yeah man so you but yeah so then we get you know uh los angeles night he he's out there he's doing he was doing commentary and then um got to the part where logan kind of went over the i show speed if you saw it he he's getting pulled out he grabs on the speed speed falls over the barricade picks up the brass knuckles that logan had dropped though actually that logan's mom had given him rather than dropped it and then speed picks up the knucks and then he gets grabbed from the back and I guess his defense is as a natural reaction.
34:58You just got slammed over a barricade by Logan and so you get turned and you just turn and pow and it's LA night and that's not what you wanted. You can see immediately he was like, oh no. So then Logan gets, but then he puts the knucks right there on the ring canvas, which Logan picks up. Blast Jay, then blast Jimmy. Jimmy falls back. Theory falls on top of him. On the trois, that's French. And we got new tag team champions heading into WrestleMania. As you know, managing maintenance, repair, and operations is never easy. I feel like the team is going to be a little bit of the same flavor of Grayson and Austin, but Logan kind of driving it more, you know. Yeah, they needed it. They needed it. Usos are going to be the Usos. They're going to do their thing. They're still in the storyline for the main event. The Usos are going to be okay.
37:04But the Vision really needed this. Logan and Austin, this gives them a reason to be in your face every week. and yeah, I mean, I'm excited to see this annoying athletic Avengers that they've assembled. Like, it should give us all gray hairs. That's what it's supposed to do. That's what it's supposed to do? I mean, that's what they don't do. I don't know what it's supposed to, but it should be entertaining. Austin really needs to shine in the upcoming matches. is Logan going Logan. Logan going to be all right. It's still crazy that Logan had a championship match against Roman Reigns. Like, Logan Paul is going to be all right.
37:53Austin, I really need you to shine. Take this time with some gold around your waist to do your thing. And, you know, fight Grayson. Fight Grayson. I'm just going to just scrap. It looks like Grayson and Kofi are having a bit of a fallout, so we'll monitor that. but I gotta be honest with you Shea man Xavier Woods getting hurt really stunk and it stunk on a different level than just a guy we really like being hurt and being out because a few months ago I haven't even brought this up to you in a while a few months ago Matt Hardy put a tweet out that said the Hardys versus the Usos versus the New Day and I was like and I haven't been able to let that go right and I was like Man, I wanted to see, before they lost, I was thinking, man, could we just get the Hardys against the Usos since the New Day, obviously with Woods being out, can't compete.
38:51I'm like, that would be kind of dope just to get the Hardys and the Usos, and it was right there. Yeah. And I knew that was a long shot anyway, right? But, man, two of the, you know, I'll say without question, two of the 15 best tag teams of all time. Now, you can place them where you want. They might not be in your top 15. I don't know why they wouldn't be. But, yeah, man, I was just, I kind of guess I held out hope. Like, maybe we could say this. I mean, what if we throw the Lucha Bros in there in some kind of way, man? What you talking about? Well, we can't now because the reason you can't is because half of the Lucha Bros, he's holding gold, and that is Penta.
39:36I don't know, man. we might have to plant this seed in the zeitgeist. Well, look, Penta's got a match. All right. You know, he's going to be in WrestleMania. And as he said, he wants to make it a ladder match. All right. He wants a moment. Big ups to Penta. So it looks like we're getting right now Penta versus Javon Evans versus Dragon Lee versus JD McDonough versus Rusev for the Intercontinental Championship in a multi-person ladder match at WrestleMania. we're going to hang the IC title from the rafters and you're going to let these guys get busy. And it's almost that game of one of these things is not like the other.
40:15It's almost like Rusev in this, but you always kind of need, you know, that powerhouse guy to do power moves, you know, throw people around. And I think that's the, you know, the position that Rusev will handle obviously in this match while Penta and Javon and Dragon and JD are just going to be flying all over the place like, you know, the Flying Willendas or something like that. I mean, you know, Rusev open Clippers fan. I don't expect any championships from him with that mindset. Yeah, no. I don't see it. That's annoying. You're annoying with that. But the other dudes, they got shot. Yeah. And look, man, you know, Javon Evans is going to do something just insane.
41:06You know, Dragon Lee, we already talked about how when he does his dives out the ring, it's like, bro, you know you don't have to go 175 miles per hour. You could do this at 80 and it'll still look good. He don't care. He, you know, I think JD's going to be the wild card to see what he does there, but, you know, the Irish ace, man, JD McDonough, he's going to get it done. Funko pop, Funko pop. You're stupid. But yeah, man, so that's going to be that's going to be an entertaining match without a doubt. It's going to be an entertaining match and with it being an official match that means that the No Contest Wrestling Podcast Three-Headed Monster of Oba, Trick and Devon are all in WrestleMania in their first year.
41:57How about that, man? Shout out to those guys. Crazy! They're all undeniable though, each of them. You know, people say, well, they better not mess them up. Or like, honestly, anyone can be messed up. But you probably think you could, but I don't think you should. And those three men to me are just, they got it. All different. Their future. They're all different. They all got their own way about them. They're all making the connection with the crowd, which is great to see. And yeah, the future's bright for those three. but like you said yeah man they're they're all making it to wrestlemania and you know speaking the trick he's got a match against the new united states champion sammy zane and i gotta talk to the fans again shay about something a few years ago sammy face was might have been well i'll go back to over a decade ago i think i said to you a few episodes ago a few episodes ago that bailey in my opinion was the most popular nxt female wrestler of all time and you thought about this there's a tremendous argument to be made that sammy zane holds that title on the men's side okay nxt sammy was just you know the story of him chasing neville for the nxt title right right that went over for months that he finally got and only to be turned on by kevin owens the minutes after he won and then the lose i think his first thing he may have lost his first title defense if i'm not mistaken to to ko so sammy's always been around and then you know they they kind of fluctuated with sammy's character for a little bit but right around the bloodline thing who kind of got in there and added a little bit of a different type of flavor to that to that presentation was sammy zane he kind of held some hero and then he gets a wrestlemania main event for the tag team championship everyone loves sammy you know he's the underdog and then for some reason lately all of a sudden the most vocal fans have seemingly turned on sammy zane you read it people like someone even had the audacity to call him sammy hogan like what oh what in what way shape or form so i don't like the way that the fans kind of turn their back on sammy but look he he's the one who kind of started this united states championship open challenge thing did a great job for a few weeks now he's got the belt back stinks for mellow right yeah because trick was announced that he's going to get the title match at WrestleMania.
44:42And as we were talking about on the phone yesterday, I just got to hold out hope. And I kind of feel that that could turn into a fatal four-way because why would you not add Ilya and Carmelo Hayes to this match? After all the work that they've been doing. Remember, it started with Sami, then with Ilya, then with the Melo for the last couple months. They've all been getting busy. They've all been lifting that United States title up. Shout out to Trick Willie. He's earned his spot without question. Everyone knows how we feel about Trick. But I kind of feel like Ilya and Mello have earned the right to be there themselves.
45:20So maybe that could turn into a fatal four-way of some type. What are your thoughts on that? It needs to. It needs to be. It feels so icky. It feels like not fair, not right, not supposed to happen. We've seen Carmelo make his name around this title. And then some thrown together hullabaloo causes him to lose it. And he don't get no give back. I don't like no hullabaloo is going on. and the title get to have a WrestleMania match all of a sudden, but when I had it, it was no talks of it, having a WrestleMania match so like, it just don't feel right, and a simple fix like having him and Ilya in the match makes this a little smoother, and I feel like it needs to because it just feels like you saw somebody build something on their own and then push them out the way and and took it over here you know and so it it wouldn't feel right to just be this one-on-one and if it is just the one-on-one the following week the first person that needs to say something to either trick or sammy is carmelo hayes and if it is trick right there you got guys with history you got you got the Build up.
46:58That story's already written. Yeah, bro. Trick Mellow, yeah, it's there. We already got storylines for that. It's right there. But you're absolutely right, especially with the way he lost with Trick interfering and all of that. So it needs to happen. It's right there. Don't mess it up. And with the four of them, that is a guaranteed banger. Guaranteed banger. No, Shay, of course, then you're going to have people going, well, there's too many multi-person matches. Well, like I'm a New Japan fan and Wrestle Kingdom comes. They do their best to put everybody on the Wrestle Kingdom card. I don't care that there's multiple multi-person matches.
47:40Let's go because this one more, I think, than any of the other ones. This one is the most deserved. And this one would be probably the best one. It makes the most sense. You had three guys who have elevated this title. Each of them. Got to give Sammy props. Got to give Dragunov props. Got to give Hayes props. Then you've got Trick Williams, who right now, it depends. You might say the other big guy, but Trick might be the hottest commodity in WWE right now. I'm looking at first take the other day. Who's up there with Stephen A. Smith and Ryan Clark and Shea Cornette is Trick Williams. And by the way, I said this on the Eisen show on Monday or Tuesday, whatever day he was on.
48:27And he was telling the story, just, you know, his story about how he got to become getting the wrestling. You know, he was telling the backstory about how his character came about. And I was like, oh, yeah, that's all great. And you would have known that a year ago had you watched the No Contest Wrestling Podcast. But let me digress. I'm not trying to start no inner beef. I'm just saying, like, if you watched us, you would have known all of this about Trick Willie because he's been on not one but two times. But, you know, whatever. That's just. Maybe it's me. Maybe it's me. Maybe I'm just going to taper it down.
49:05But I'm just I'm not saying I'm just saying if you had watched, you know, and all. Hey, catch an episode. Take some notes. You saw the entertainment sports network. I mean, we are ESPN NCW, so I'm just saying. Just saying, man. Okay, I got that off my chest. I feel good because I was salty. Rich was like, you seems – I was going off during the commercial break, and Rich was like, I understand. He goes, it's happened to me a few times. I was like, yeah, I get it. Yeah, man. This is bothering me. But, yeah, shout out. Little do they know, our time is coming. But shout out to Rich. Our time is coming.
49:45Shout out to, and you know, that's the other thing, Shay, just to take a little brief, like, turn. It's so kind of cool as a wrestling fan when you look at some of these mainstream things, and now you see wrestlers out there, you know. You see Seth Rollins is doing Good Morning Football and hosting Netflix stuff all the time. Now I've seen Trick on ESPN multiple times. You see, you know, Liv out there. You see a lot of wrestlers. And when I was growing up, you know, my favorite guys in the late 80s, early 90s like you might yeah every now and then you might get a Hulk Hogan on something but like you weren't getting our favorite wrestlers on these mainstream shows you know every now and then you might get like Stone Cold on an episode of Pacific Blue or you know or the Rock Post and Saturday Night Live but yeah you know so it's really cool now to see so it's like I said just as an aside it's really cool to see wrestling kind of break through to the mainstream a little bit more than it has in the past so yeah so so big ups to to them but yeah if you watched us you would already known all this stuff man we we here we here to provide man we here to provide and that's what we do but our fans know they know where to go man we just need to tell the rest of the world in the millions and millions of the ncw we'll get there bro yeah yeah yeah all right All right, so speaking of crews, we talked about crews earlier.
51:14There's a new crew, and that's Jade Cargo. I don't know if they've been named yet, but of course, you know, a few weeks ago, we saw basically B-Fab and Mee Chin go, look, if you can't beat them, join them. So they came out, and now they've aligned themselves with women's champion Jade Cargo. And it was kind of like, I think I was kind of waiting on something like this to happen, because if you play back to Jade and AEW when she had her baddies, they were composed of, I think it was Layla Gray and Vel— was it Red Velvet? Red Velvet and Layla Gray, I think, were the two not, I think. Yeah, her baddies.
51:51And they were two who had been kind of taking multiple L's to Jade, right? And then all of a sudden, they kind of decided, hey, might as well rock with her instead of against her. So kind of using that same blueprint now, you know, Mi Chin, she was someone who— She had a lot of, you know, she had a wave of fan like pushing for her for a while. You remember her and Chelsea during like the, you know, the, that trash can match or the dumpster match. You know, she was almost there for the United States championship. I thought maybe they might get it to her in that inaugural tournament. So Ming Chen is someone that people have been pushing.
52:30B-Fab, she really hasn't really had her time to shine as much. But now, you know, they've aligned themselves with this star that is Jade Cargill. And we'll see where this faction can go. Yeah, I am. I love it for me, Genevieve, because it throws them in the main event spotlight. Like, it throws them right into the fire. And, you know, this gives them a chance to kind of show who they are. uh michen does a great job of uh showing herself you know all through social media and you know she's got her twitch channel she's a gamer and so she kind of has you know a little bit of a core audience from just her social media presence but being around the big belt on tv constantly is you got to make use of that time.
53:34I hit Meechen as soon as I saw this team, and I told her, kill this. And she said, you already know. Like, she's focused whenever they ask of her. Of course, Admania, chaos. You know, she's got the numbers. Yup, Kendo stick in hand. And Jade needed this. Jade needed this shake-up because, let's be real, Rio has been eating this lady. And it's starting to get awkward. Now, this does feel personal. We talked about Stephanie and Liv. You weren't sure. Now, this one really does feel like it could be personal, man, based upon your Twitter beef and everything else. Yeah. Jade had that line talking about Rhea going to creative.
54:30And that rubbed Rhea the wrong way. It rubbed a lot of people the wrong way. Not just Rhea. Yeah, people came to her aid. And so who knows how that locker room is feeling over there in SmackDown. But it is not warm and cuddly. I'll tell you that. And, you know, there's going to be, it's going to be a lot said in WWE's decision for this match. If you have Jade retained, you are putting that character, Jade Cargill, on par with a Rhea Ripley, with a Bianca Belair, with the top dogs. You are establishing her. If you have Rhea come in and do her thing, what does that mean for Jade afterwards? You can't be going around calling yourself that bitch if it's a three-on-one and you still lost.
55:26So, like, it really is a delicate situation. It's not just, you know, Rhea getting the title would be the norm, but it spells out some pretty detrimental things for the character of Jade Cardinal that they've spent so much time to get to this spot. So I don't think it's just going to be a – it's definitely not going to be a cave walk for Ripley. Well, what you said a few seconds ago really sums it up. You said essentially Rhea's a star, Bianca's a star. This is a star-making business, right? That's the whole point. Rhea's already as high up the food chain as you can get. Rhea's got to have somebody as a foil.
56:13Ali needed Frazier. You know what I mean? Yeah, G.I. Joe needed Cobra. Yeah, like Flair needed Steamboat. Hogan needed Piper. You know, I mean, we can go down the list of all of these people. You know, a hero needs a foil. You know, a champion needs someone to come and challenge them. And so it might be best for business that at the end of WrestleMania, we see Jade still standing tall. And that would really solidify the fact that she is, despite what anyone else tries to say, looked upon as a star within the company. If she loses, like you said, now it kind of maybe just adds fuel to the fire of the naysayers who didn't see that position.
57:01And you know what? You got to let a naysayer know sometimes. A naysayer got to know. All right? And that's what's going to happen. You let a naysayer. Which a naysayer would. Yeah, and not hope. Because a lot of people hope. A lot of people hope, DJ. But we here at NCW, we wish. Wish. We wish and they say it would. Wish. You can have hope. Hope all you want. We wish it would. But yeah, dude, they got to really watch this because everybody, you know, Rhea's got the experience. Definitely has the WrestleMania experience. She's got the crowd behind her. you know yeah everything is in her favor but does that mean necessarily it's the right thing to do to have her win we shall see we shall see we just some fans that's it we just got good points we're just fans up here chopping up to other fans with other fans uh and then you know okay so we've already talked about this we'll get on that more with the women's intercontinental championship match we know AJ and Becky are going to go at it um what else are we missing here oh yeah the you you mentioned this earlier the unsanctioned does this even count oh what's going to count Jacob Fatu and Drew McIntyre can I tell you how I want to see this okay I want I want some cinematic elements to this okay I want Wrestlemania to start with Jacob and Drew in the middle of some random street on Vegas Strip.
58:42Just fighting it out. I want them slugging in the middle of the Bellagio. I want them next to the Caesar statue. I want somebody to get thrown into the fountains. I want them to fight their way down the Vegas Strip until they get to a line stadium. And then maybe at the end of night too, then you have them make their way into the ring. I want a two-day fight between Fontyu and McIntyre. Hey, let's check and see where Jacob and Drew are. And now they're at, you know, they're at. They're in the back of Hell's Kitchen and Gordon Ramsay's trying to get them separated. They're in the Cosmopolitan Hotel.
59:25They're in Marquee, Las Vegas. You know, they're fighting through the club. I mean, that's what I want. I want them in the middle of some slot machines. I want somebody getting powerbombed through a poker table. I want a roulette wheel being smashed on somebody's head. Like, why not? You have a chance to make this sort of epic, right? Obviously, I understand, like, the two-day fight's kind of dumb. But we love wrestling. It's kind of hilarious. It's kind of funny. Like, these two cats have been fighting for 24 straight hours. And they're still going. I want them to get arrested, right? I want them to get bailed out.
1:00:05I want them to keep fighting. let's just carry this through the two days of Jacob and Drew like every Las Vegas monument straight Peter Griffin chicken just bite I want them tearing Fremont Street up I want them to get up on that trolley thing that goes above the crowd I want them scrapping on that use Vegas to its full capabilities bro and end at the sphere You got to end up in Spear. Yes. I want them, you know, the Venetian, the whatever. I can't even think of any, because I really didn't think this through until I started saying it. I want them just at every hotel. It sounds good. Every hotel, every monument in Vegas, just bang it out, bro.
1:00:54Except the Luxor, because the Luxor is disgusting. I've stayed at the Luxor, sorry. I had some good times in Luxor. That's all I know. It's disgusting.
1:01:08those are stories for another day in another podcast but yeah let's see if we can let's see if we can just get them man just doing some wild something wild bro you know that's just this is my hope for that because as you know as drew mcintyre fans i was and i know you love drew too we were both mad that he got the belt and then lost it and i think the reason we were both so mad That is because Randy and Cody made way too much sense that you had to go with it. So unfortunately, that hurt Drew. But he and Jacob, like, you know, like the SmackDown started the other week where they were fighting in the parking lot and Drew pulled them through the car windshield.
1:01:47Like, I want something like that. I won't let these two dudes. Like my man from the UFC said, just let me bang, bro. Just let him bang. Yeah. And Drew's about to go off and do a movie. so we need to see something big from him while he's gone for these months, you know? So absolutely, this match needs to be crazy. Hold on. Because you just said Fatou. I think I know where you're going. I was going to bring – you're talking about a T-shirt? That T-shirt. Bro, it is weird how – I knew – when I said Fatou, I knew where I wanted to go, and then you picked up right where I was going to say. Tell him what's getting on your nerves.
1:02:28I don't know who at WWE found out what F around and find out meant, but you are milking that cow to death. You have got to stop. All right. You had Paul Heyman up there talking about F-A-F-O, Paul. You never even say that. You don't say that like a lot to be bringing it up to us like this. And then Brock Lesnar came out with an F around and F5 shirt. F-A-F-5. Now you got F around and try us. Who the hell is up? All the Fatoos. Who is up? All the Fatoos. He don't rep all of them. They don't even. We never even see them hang out. They're not even on the same show. So, like, who is us? Yeah, man.
1:03:19You ain't got the twins in it. it just feels like when it just feels like somebody trying to be the cool dad. When someone hears new slang and you're like, oh, okay. Yeah, man. Like when Fashizo left us and just went into the zeitgeist and we couldn't hold it anymore. It's just, stop it. That was unnecessary. The F-A-F-5 was good because that was the first one. I thought, okay. But whatever. We gave Jacob some good shirt ideas, by the way, which we know because he said, those are some good shirt ideas. So it might be up to us to go print them. People have been asking us for merch, man. We must not like money for the amount of people that are asking us for some merch.
1:04:12We got to get on. No, no, no, no, no, no. I'm saying we need to make them. We need some NCW shirts. we need to get on that we have a little ads card right below the YouTube description so that's where we're at so far and now the last two I want to end this Wrestlemania talking point is we'll save the gold holders for last and we'll talk about the big dogs no bread, no water just me ate Brock Lesnar I don't like how that sounds I mean, you got to talk to Booker T about that. That's his saying. But yeah, here we go again. Brock is like, forget the jeans are too tight. Yeah, he came out in year. By the way, can I give everybody just a little hint when you're doing the Oba thing?
1:05:04And this will make it so simple for people who don't have rhythm.
1:05:10It's right arm, left leg. left arm right leg so it's the opposite it's not like left left right right no it's right left dun dun bum bum bum bum I think my last beat there was off beat shut your mouth I'm holding a belt on my lap but I'm just saying we couldn't get the crowd to put their hands up and down at the same time that took a while That took a while. Now you're talking about opposite limbs and all of that, bro. They might explode. All right. We still talking to middle America here. Well, maybe this will help. Just, you know, just the way, just think opposites. Right arm, left leg, left arm, right leg.
1:06:01Yeah, man. Okay. I'm happy for over. So Brock is like, man, F all that coming out with jeans and stuff. He came out ready to fight. All right. Yeah. And then he was told, well, this isn't going to happen. But, yeah, good luck stopping Oba. He comes out. And it's just like I said, the swagger, the aura on Oba Femi is on$100 ,000 trillion. And it's pretty amazing to see. So he comes out. They're ready to bang. And then all of a sudden, here comes your boy. Go ahead. Say his government. Paul. His name's Triple H. My buddy, Paul. Everyone else is Triple H. He's a nice man. He's a nice man. You know this is something because, by the way, you don't see Triple H out there trying to break up any other WrestleMania match.
1:06:45Everyone else who's got Mania matches, they can go ahead and fight. Not this one, though. He didn't want this one to get messed up. He's like, nah, man. He was like Dana White out there. Like, yo, Trips, it's like Tupac. Don't break up the fight. Let him rumble. You know? And also, where'd he come from? Out of nowhere. It looked like he came from the announcer's desk. I was like, where was he? We even know he was at the show. I mean, we know he's at the show, but we even know he was at the show. He's the guard. But yeah, so he came out and he made sure those two weren't going to catch hands with each other.
1:07:23So they did the next best thing. They beat the crap out of all the security guards. And I put this on Twitter. You know what I hate? When someone tries to mansplain something to me about sports, do you know what I do? talk about sports for a job but you know what I hate even more when someone tries to mansplain something to me about wrestling like I put on Twitter if I'm a security guard there is no amount of money that you could pay me to go out there and try to break up a fight with those two and some guy responded well you know honestly they're probably just local wrestlers so yeah no Sirlock I know who they are I can go back throughout time and pick out all the guys who became stars who started off as security guards.
1:08:05I know how this works. You ain't got to tell me that. But I'm just saying in general in this wrestling world I'm not running down there to go break up those two. No. No. No. Protein is now at Starbucks and it's never tasted so good. You can add protein cold foam to your favorite drink or try one of our new protein lattes or matcha. Try it today at Starbucks.
1:08:34In a classroom of sodas, most stay quiet. Then there's Mr. Pibb. Sweet cherry, bold outbursts. The kind of flavor that gets attention. Bold kick of cherry. Hey, yo, Mr. Pibb. It's like there's a video. There's a video online of these two gorillas fighting in the zoo. Right. And there's a lady in the back screaming. Somebody stop there. Get the zookeeper! Get the zookeeper! If you're going to shut your ass up, what you want me to do? You know what the zookeeper's doing? Zookeeper's sitting there eating popcorn like, oh, this won't be a good one. Yeah! First of all, I don't even know what they're arguing about, lady.
1:09:12Right? He could totally be in the wrong. One of them might deserve this ass whooping. Yeah, like, come on, man. Get the zookeeper! You always see that in nature videos, right? To the point where I'm just convinced someone's putting voiceovers over. because there'll be like a lion about to eat a gazelle and someone's like, why doesn't somebody go help him? What? Go help him? Help them? How about you get your Dudley do-right ass over there and help him? I'm sitting back and watching. I ain't getting involved in this. What you mean, bro? That's Oba and Brock. Stuff what it looks like. Nah, man, I'm straight.
1:09:46Let them two handle it. Whatever problems they got, I ain't got beef with neither one of them. Absolutely. Ain't got nothing to do with me. But yeah, so you know, that just is, like I said, the build up is kind of cool it was the first time i think in a while that brock you know even though he was like let's fight something got him to the point where he was like all right i can't come out here dressed in my street clothes no more like this dude just roughed me off a few times no we gotta go brother like so man that's gonna you know the people always have that saying that this is gonna feed generations yeah that's kind of what this fight feels like yeah bro at this point I just hope they just knock each other out I can't pick the winner we did kind of agree last week that we kind of we kind of thought that Brock might win and I say that because I know how as we said before these fickle fans are they're going to turn on Oba you know the second he goes over too much but your boy Bully Ray on his podcast said he believes that they should just look he's a once every few year talent there ain't many dudes out there they're gonna give you what oba's given he's just like put the rocket on his back give him everything and i was like that's an interesting interesting way to look at it like yeah maybe sure i mean i believe it um you know it we've seen brock do this uh with a couple of guys but But none of them had all the boxes checked the way that Oba does.
1:11:27And for him to have the crowd the way that he does, TJ, he doesn't even need the match. He got them in the palm of his hand. When you're somebody coming up and you want to be the new monster, you usually need the match. he has not only in the states, internationally. Like, this is crazy. It is pandamania. Pandamonia. Both of them. Mania and monia. Yeah, right. It's just something that I don't think they've had in a long time in a big man. You know, in a big man is key. So maybe Strowman to a point. Cause you remember there was a point when, when Strowman got there, it was just, do you see the size of this dude?
1:12:29And then I saw him like running the ropes. I was like, this dude's 380 pounds and he's probably running a four, seven, four, eight 40. That's, that's frightening. But I just don't know if he had the, what Oba's got going on is special and different though. It really is. Yeah. I think just honestly as a fan, I think Strowman's legs were his downfall. Yeah. Because the dude had, I mean, like, they let him win the tag team championships with somebody's kid. A nine-year-old, bro. Like, that's, yeah. Strowman, when it came to powerhouse stuff, yeah. It's too bad. You know, it's just like any sport.
1:13:12You know, we talk about, you know, traditional sports. I know you'll make fun of me because I'm a Sixer fan, but you're a basketball fan, so I think you can appreciate. I think we've all been robbed a little of what Joel Embiid could be because, you know, his body betrayed him. And there's so many. You can go back in the history of time for any athlete, right? Man, Grant Hill. Grant Hill. Penny Hardaway. Tracy McGrady. Back to Bernard King. Dee Rose. Dee Rose. Like, yeah, and it's just like, but I say Embiid because he was an anomaly. You're talking about a seven foot one, 300 pound man who has an incredible, rarely seen skill set.
1:13:50It's just that his body has betrayed him. So we're never fully going to get how great Embiid probably could have been for as good as he is. And, you know, I think that that happens a lot, obviously, in sports. And that's what I think happened with Stroman. But like I said, Obafemi is just like he's different. He's different. I can't even say anything more than that. He's different, though. and if Brock were to win I would be able to be you know I see why they did that it's Brock Lesnar it's Brock Lesnar he's made Oba Oba has won every single face to face convincingly yeah like you know but for Oba to win it changes the dynamic of the entire show.
1:14:46It puts a pecking order. It puts a hierarchy. It puts a food chain. It is his world. And if he sees you, if you're in his sights, get your affairs in order. Call the fam. Let them know. Yeah, yeah. Call your homie. Tell him to delete your laptop, burn it. Whatever you like. Whatever you need, dog. Because the ruler has you in his sights. So that's another one to really watch. Personally feel like it's too good to be true. And WWE loves kicking my ass that way. So, Brock, you know, he might get the dub, bro. You know, going back to that Trick Williams thing I said, like watching everybody now on, you know, the sports shows come around the trick and then him saying the stories that he already told us.
1:15:46And I'm like, if you only listen, it just made me think about how Bully Ray was saying they need to put the rocket on OBA. They need to push and blah, blah, blah. And again, I don't want to like pat ourselves on the back again, I guess. but if we don't, nobody will. Over a year ago, when I got on this show and I said when John Cena was a heel and he was saying he was retiring and I said that Obafemi should be the one to retire him, man, that is one of our most viewed videos and it was a little bit controversial and people were telling me how dumb I was. And I went back and read some of the comments and I just had to laugh because now it's the same thing everyone's saying about Obafemi today.
1:16:36We put this out there a while ago folks. Like you know we're just out here just BSing like we love this stuff man. We watch and we analyze you know. I know for a fact and I tell you all the time my free time is spent watching old wrestling matches man like you know this is I love this stuff bro. So seeing someone like Oba, I was like, yeah, have him be the one. And people were like, no, no, no. And I was like, oh, yeah. Of course this big-lipped naysayer wants Oba to beat Josh. Why do you have to call me? You know that's a... That's what he said in the comments. I read one of them. Nobody said that.
1:17:17Yeah, bro. You is ignorant. You is ignorant. There were multiple comments though that did say, of course the black guy is going to pick a black guy. uh-huh a tale is on his time song is on his ride I'm just saying if you're on board with us you probably get these feelings and these notions earlier than everyone else so I just wanted to point that out but Brock Lesnar Obafemi it's set for Wrestlemania and I cannot wait for that one and then you know we got the as we broke the news even though that might not have been the plan
1:18:01you took a creative liberty I did take a creative liberty and so if you don't know what Shea is saying is a few weeks ago the Eisen show was in San Francisco for the Super Bowl and we had CM Punk come on and we were gifted this announcement that it was official that CM Punk versus Roman Reigns would main event WrestleMania. What might not have been official It was not official, bro. Was me being told, all right, read this, and then me going night two. Yeah. And then after it was over, I was like, well, it technically didn't say night two. I just kind of assumed. It did not say, and if you look back, I'm trying to read that graphic so hard.
1:18:54what the hell do we say night two I'm like did I get a little excited yeah I did it was like what I get to break this news I know Punk was probably like wait what but yeah I said this is night two and to this day I'm still not sure do we even know what's night one or night two it's gotta be but I don't know if there has been an official word maybe I've missed it but that's what I said that's what I deemed it so maybe we put them in the corner But yeah, Roman Reigns, CM Punk, or CM Punk versus Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship. And you know, there's been a lot of mixed feelings about their back and forth, their promo battles, what's going on.
1:19:35Here's the deal, though, right? Even if you're someone who thinks that all their promo battles have not been up to par, which, of course, you read social media, there are some people that think that I don't. the bottom line is and i think we're all well aware that on show night night two when the lights come on and the music hits those two are gonna get the job done so i don't even know why anybody's sweating this like these are two professionals dog but i do think that they are missing out on something right and it's something that we've said on this show before the fact that when punk went on coke abana's podcast that roman briefly touched on and when he said we've got to make roman look strong that carried over and that was a black cloud over roman reigns career for five six years remember if you go back on twitter that's all the trolls you gotta make roman look strong that make roman look strong bro i think that haunted him so i think that's just a key a little key thing right there that they might maybe put a bigger spotlight on Roman be like you running your mouth made my life and my job miserable you know and that would be another reason for me to want to put hands on you you know what I mean because if you go back yeah man him saying that really screwed Roman over for a while in some fans eyes so I feel maybe that could be added to the build you know it was definitely it was glossed over but brought up in the first promo battle um and you know that's when it kind of felt like oh they might got some they might got some heat right here and then the second one you know punk was by himself punk was by himself for two weeks in a row so he had to do what he had to do yeah and so you know that's where we start to get the you're never here he's never here you're never here and that's where it might have gotten repetitive but he doesn't have he doesn't have his his dance partner you know so like he's really pulling promos out of his ass and then once they started once they got face to face and then you know mentioning roman's dad and then the Usos get in and like, now we're stuck.
1:21:56Jay, Jay being like, Joe, get him. Get him. That was hard. Government name. Made you feel like it was real. That was hard. And of course, Punk had to get his get back. He got his get back. He looked a bit manic. A lot of coffee. He looked crazy as hell. He looked like he was in the CM Punk villain bag. And he wasn't supposed to be the villain. There was no set heel face for this match. But I think people underestimate what those four years did. People love Roman, bro. People love Roman. And whether he was a villain or not, those four years brought a lot of people back to wrestling, maybe made some kids fall in love.
1:22:56like it it put WWE that bloodline storyline really made business boom again around here in a crazy way that I haven't seen in a long time which is why I have such a connection because I was having feelings during that run that I had to have since I was a kid you know and it was just like man they're like that's what that's what I needed I needed that again so it CM Punk with the way that Monday Night Raw ended Phil is looking like the bad guy and it doesn't make sense nothing about it makes sense but it's how the fans are and you know it's another situation where what does it mean for Roman Reigns to lose to CM Punk?
1:24:00And if you have Roman win, that means he's going to be here, right? That has to mean that. Does it? You see whispers. You know, we spoke about this lightly. There's whispers that what they really want is to set up the next mania. Because, you know, Saudi about to get everything. Sorry to tell y 'all, Saudi is about to get everything. Everything available, Saudi is about to get. So if they want to be the spot where we see OTC finally, finally go up against,
1:24:39then that world heavyweight title on the line might be kind of the key to the city. but that means a year of Roman frequently on Raw Netflix can't be mad at that so it's what I'm learning in this Wrestlemania is it's not as simple as who we think should win or why you know they got every box and it should dismantle somebody what does it mean when these people lose What does it mean moving forward? And is there somebody else to step up and take that place? Or should you protect that character? And they're going to have to make a lot of those type decisions. Who the hell is calling me from New York?
1:25:30Type stuff. I don't like that. I don't like that. Not me. I don't like that. I have to drop a dime. I don't like that shit. I don't like that. I don't like that shit at all. shout out to belly you know what we're talking about oh was you bound it bound it fool is this the Ellis naysayer in Nebraska whole movie blue that whole movie blue as hell I remember thinking like is it ever gonna get to like regular vision shout out to Hype Williams that's your man that's your man shout out to Darkman X there's one guy we didn't mention bro Seth Rollins finally got his vote I'm sorry this was the last thing written on the list my bad Seth Rollins yes and Gunther now we are finding out those two about to have a match yeah I missed this on my list there good call yeah man I thought for sure this was going to be Braun Breaker I was like Braun is back I heard the crowd murmur and started to stand up I was like, oh my god, we getting back on what the hell is Gunther doing?
1:26:41And then Seth gets pulled down. They did a great job of blocking this camera wise and you're still probably thinking, oh, it's Braun and then, wait a second, that's Gunther the ring handle Gunther Choking him out like Debo did Craig on the hood of that car. Man. He was kicking his feet and his sneaker squeaked and he slid down I hated that as a kid. I bet. but yeah man so you know that's the now the thing now people are like do they have enough time to set this up you know why why is Gunther and this with Seth and you know as you and I were talking the other day I was like well maybe Gunther looks like this right Gunther's the ring heneral the mat is sacred he takes things very sacred when it comes to wrestling maybe he saw the fact that a wrestler and Seth Rollins is attacking and beating up a non-wrestler and Paul Heyman.
1:27:37And he just decided he didn't like it. He don't like that. That's a civilian. Yeah. So I, it was a reach, obviously I'm reaching, but who knows, who knows what Gunther's, you know, he like, but we do know the Matt is sacred. The ring is sacred. He takes us very seriously. He's obviously saw something going on with Seth and Paul that he didn't like, and he decided to interject himself. So I'm sure he will, you know, he'll tell us why he did what he did. I'm sure about that. But what I loved about that is even in a plate of nothing, you still found a way that a meal can be made. Yeah. Because, yeah, I mean, somebody, the ring general.
1:28:23General. out who takes wrestling more to heart than gunther and here you are a former world champion conducting yourself in such a fashion that you're picking on paul hayman why did paul hayman spear you did paul hayman hit you with a tsunami no no no he didn't and you want to come at him every single week, what do you expect him to do? Fight you? I'll fight you. I have no ties to them, but if you're looking for a fight, if everybody you want to fight is hurt, I'm fully medically clear what you want to do. All right? Because it can get ugly real quick. You want to have a WrestleMania match? I do too.
1:29:20I ain't got nowhere to go. You ain't got know where to be. Let's get it cracking. And that's all I need from this. Yeah, I mean, obviously you always, most people want a storyline, right? You and I, we've talked about this. We just love wrestling. Sometimes, I think how many times we've been out in the club, out in the bar. This is the bar right here. One dude bumps into another dude just randomly, and the next thing you know, there's a Pier 6 brawl going on. They ain't have no reason to fight, but you sat there and watched it, and you enjoyed it. What's the story? Wait, wait, what? Excuse me, excuse me.
1:29:53Before you break this up, why are you, do you guys know each other? No? No. We're just. This makes no sense. I'm out of here. So sometimes you don't need a reason to fight somebody. You just fight. And I think we've given some good reasons as to why Gunther may have decided to do it. Or maybe he and Heyman are in cahoots together. Right. You never know with Paul Heyman. Paul Heyman. And he might, you know, he sees that the odds are not in his favor right now. Maybe he wouldn't have to talk with Gunther. It's like, you know, maybe Gunther's like Luke Cage. Maybe he's hero for hire right now. I don't know.
1:30:31Right. You know, if he had to talk with Gunther, Paul Heyman is making the damn NWO. He is like, bro, you got to relax, bro. How many people are you going to come out for? I was talking to my sister. Like, I've never seen Paul Heyman come out more than one time. Yeah. And he's been out like three, four times on these shows. Well, much like you, Paul Heyman doesn't read his emails. And had he read his email, he might have saved himself from that. You know what I'm saying? So, I mean, look, Scrap Iron Pierce. And by the way, I say Scrap Iron Pierce for people. If you don't know about Adam Pierce, man, go to YouTube and look him up.
1:31:09Former multi-time NWA world champion. He was about that life for sure. But, yeah, he was like, did you check your email? And it was kind of weird. Wait, I say Scrap Iron. I'm thinking of Phil Garner. No, I mean, that's his Twitter handle. I don't know what it is. Yes, I said Scrap Iron. I'm mixing him up with Phil Garner, who used to play for the Pittsburgh Pirates. Scrap Daddy. Anyway, point being, he asked him. And I was like, why does he keep asking him about this? And then we found out. Here comes Seth. You know, chair to the back chair. Seth loves smashing people with chairs in the back. Bro, that's like his thing.
1:31:43But, yeah, so I have a feeling that this will. this will be all right. I think we'll be fine. Yeah. Scrap. Why did I say scrap iron? That's just going to sit with me. It's all right, man. Pittsburgh all day. All right. So, all right, man. So that's, that's it. That's what we got for WrestleMania. Yeah. Leave us notes in the comments, man. What, what do you guys think? How do you think this is going to play out? How this is going to play out? How, how you see this going, you know, Let us know because we've done a lot of talking. So I'd like to hear what other people have to say. And you know what?
1:32:25I want us to do a comment show one day. Let's just go through them. Let's just go through them. Oh, yeah. I have a few screenshotted for sure.
1:32:38Yeah. So, you know, as always, you know where to find us in social media. But, yeah, so we're still on that road to mania. And, you know, things are getting good. and we're here for the ride. You know what I'm saying? Something happened yesterday, though. I know you're out and about. I don't think you had a chance to watch NXT from NXT. Oh, no, I haven't. Just real quick, I wanted to go down that. It was something that kind of hit me. I was watching the opening match. It was Dark State against OTM and the TNA world champion Mike Santana. Now, you and I have been kind of vocal about We don't feel that TNA maybe is getting, you know, the rub that maybe they should.
1:33:22That's a good way to put it. And as these announcements came, as the wrestlers were coming to the ring, Mike Santana, TNA world champion, gets announced. Might have been the biggest pop of the night. They're in Manhattan. Is it because he's from the Bronx? Maybe a little bit to do with it. He's New York's own. He's a TNA world champion. but during the match people are chanting his name Mike Santana and all I could think of is TNA you might have messed up you might have messed up because it seems like you're not getting the the right side of this partnership as it is and now you bring out your world champion and this NXT crowd is popping huge for our boy Mike Santana and they're chanting his name and somewhere, someone in the back was like, wait a minute, Mike Santana?
1:34:17Yeah. Y 'all done showed y 'all big cousin y 'all new toy. Now you can't find it when you get back in the room. That is the best way. You know what? I can't even say it any better than what you just said. True. So it's just, you know, you might not want to let them have everything because I got a bad feeling that they might be coming for your boy Santana. Listen to the homeboy Santana. You know? You can say Joe Hendry name three times in the mirror and his ass ain't coming back. No. And you see who's got the NXT title. Yeah. Yeah. So I don't know, man. I was just kind of like, ooh, Mike Santana's friend of the show.
1:35:00That's her man. But I heard that and I was like, dope for Mike. Maybe bad for Tia. Yeah. Tommy, Tommy, Tommy. Slow down, baby. you know so great for mike so that's all right i gotta look at that now yeah otm got the win on that one dark state man i'm gonna tell you man saquon sugars is low-key so entertaining i don't think he a lot of people get i don't think he gets the props that he deserves but the dude just you know we were both fans of little things that wrestlers does doing he just he does little stuff that just low-key is hilarious like he went to go rip i think it was uh i think it was bronco he went to go it wasn't luci no it was bronco i think he went to go you know whip him into the ropes and it was just like he starts pulling on him and he wasn't moving and for some reason i thought that was the funniest stuff so shout out to saquon Dion, Osiris.
1:35:59Osiris Griffin is a dope name, too. But yeah, OTM, man, is showing and proving a little bit, man. I've never really followed them too much. But yo, all those dudes are huge, by the way. Saquon's not that big, but the other four, massive. So what else happened? We had a match that we hate to see, but it had to happen. We saw Jada Parker against Kalani Jordan, and Jada won that one. oh sisters yeah I mean you don't want to see it Jasper Troy against Keanu Carver Keanu Carver man he is a menace alright he got the win over Jasper then we had Kendall Gray against Lola Vice which Kendall Gray we haven't talked about her Kendall Gray is making noise Kendall Gray as we are seemingly the NXT podcast we got to get her on soon because she is there's something so special with that text Paul.
1:36:57Women, man, put your phone down. But yeah, at the end, her and Lola got caught up in like a pin tap at the same time situation. So now we don't know who's going to be the number one contender. Mr. Stone came out. I think Shawn Michaels even came out. We're probably going to get a triple threat for the NXT Women's Championship. But yeah, so just something to... And you know who else? Our guy Shiloh Hill he is making the most right out of this internet like dark web like it's he's doing something shadow hill's doing something man it's like and it's funny like he last week you know blake monroe stole tatum paxley's north american championship and tatum's trying to find her and shadows like i already know where she's at and he already wrote it down on a piece of paper in his pocket he had her coordinates and he was basically like yeah you shouldn't always post pictures where you're at because there's some weird people out like there's something in this character man this character is dope and each week he's getting better so just another friend of the show who's got you know knows with the spare key to the ncw crib is want to give a shout out to shallow and all the dope work he's doing right now man but uh anything else you want to get into before we break?
1:38:22I know I'm in Hawaii right now, but I mean, you can tell. Since I was talking about him, might as well show the NXT belt. Absolutely beautiful. Something that Joe... Black and gold era. That was fun. So, Shea, you know, as always, we like to let everybody know where to find us. You know, on Instagram, we're at NoContestWrestlingPodcast. On TikTok, we're NoContestWrestlingPod. On Twitter, X, we're There's No Contest. You'll find us on the ESPN platform, on Spotify, on Apple, on Amazon Music, anywhere basically that you listen to podcasts. And, you know, we kind of touched on this a little bit last week, but we got some big NCW news.
1:39:05And why don't you let them know what's what's happening with us, Shay?
1:39:12let me tell you if y 'all thought we was big-handed before you a liar because we're the most humble show out there but you do wear like a size eight yeah you know what it is bro the ocho respect the ocho bro um so we got a call and we didn't get you know it might be thinking we got a call from a Nick Khan or a Paul Levesque. No. We got a call from our Mickey Mouse. Yes. We got the Mickey Mouse call. And we're going to have three spots this month where you're going to catch no contest on ESPN the TV. The television. ESPN 2. The Dotes. That's right, bro. They got a lot of channels. To get up to two is crazy.
1:40:10And yeah, ESPN, they let us know that they want to use no contest to kind of get things ready for this first WrestleMania on ESPN, the official first WrestleMania of ESPN. and we couldn't have done it without y 'all without y 'all support that y 'all show the the the interactions that we've had there the higher-ups are paying attention and so uh tj you know the dates yes so well we'll we'll do a special a week from now not next week but the following week we'll have a special half hour uh you know we'll talk about wrestlemania be like a special podcast episode and then the Friday before Wrestlemania on the 17th you and I will host a pre-show for Wrestlemania to really help ESPN kick off their coverage of you know the grandest stage of them all as Gorilla Monsoon once said Wrestlemania 42 in Las Vegas that'll be O'Shea and I we will be on I think it'll air around 2 I want to say 2 PM Pacific time I believe if I'm not mistaken.
1:41:23We'll have the actual, we'll have everything definitely written and settled in a few days. But just know that the Friday before WrestleMania, you tune in to ESPN2, you will see your boys here at No Contest. We will be doing a WrestleMania pre-show, and I gotta be honest with you, man, I'm in awe. I'm blown away. I'm humbled. Oh, Lord! Yeah, and we get to talk about WrestleMania. We'll talk about the history. We'll talk about the matches. We'll talk about everything. We'll have some guests. Not sure who our guests are yet, but we'll have some great superstars that will stop by the set and chop it up with us.
1:42:01It'll be, I think, an hour-long pre-show for WrestleMania, and I know I want to speak for you, but I know we're excited and can't wait for this. We will bring it, and we will not only bring it for ourselves, but we know that you all are counting on us as well. you know you gotta recognize the moment ladies and gentlemen they done put me and my dog on television sure in all fairness you're in movies and I'm on TV every day don't count TJ this is our thing bro can't be doing that alright so we done got on ESPN 2 We will be in rare form. We will still provide what you already know from the show. But we know that the lights are on, and we will make the best of the moment, as everybody does at WrestleMania.
1:42:59So I'm going to tell you right now, Stephen A., my man Pat, he cool. But Stephen A., we coming for you, bro. Coming for you, man. All right? I know you don't want to make an enemy out of me and all that. I get it, bro. But this wrestling world? Oh, yeah, bro. Freak out. Freak out. We're talking to you, Stephen. Yeah, the guy with the big guns, brother. Yeah, freak out. Yeah. Unjustifiably in the position I'd rather not be, except brother. Yeah, I do want to be in this position. I'm happy to be in this position, dog. So, yeah. Shout out to everyone who watches, everyone who rocks with us. Thank you to all the guests that we've had.
1:43:44and obviously we couldn't have done this. We wouldn't have been put in this position if there wasn't a buzz about what we're doing here. So it does mean a lot for all of you that are down with us. And if you're not down with us, we got two words for you. Why not? Why not? Oh, wow. Wow. That was classy. That's ESPN2 classy right there. I like that. I got to keep my day job, brother. I got to keep my day job. Right. It's too good. On behalf of myself and my tag team partner, make sure that you guys have a good day, but not too good. Who the hell do you think you are?

1:44:41Brian Pata, senior defensive lineman from Miami, gunned down. The key to this case, it's Brian. Boy, he's ripped him. An hour before he died, he was on the phone arguing with somebody. This might be a hit. You want the truth. Biggest one of convictions. Being placed under arrest. We had a killer amongst us. Murder at the U. Listen now.
