3:13O'Shea:I still, just looking back on our Best Of episode, that Royal Rumble still is crazy to me. Like that junket that we got to do, you know, talking to Bailey as long as we did, we couldn't show it. But we had a much, like we had such a long conversation with the New Day. Remember, we were supposed to have them for, what, 10 minutes? Yeah, and then Woods and Kofi were like, yo, let's keep going. Yeah, yeah, let's keep going. Unfortunately, we only got 10 minutes with Roman and Paul. People were like, why so short? They gave us eight minutes. And somehow we were able to stretch an extra two out of that joint.

3:55It didn't seem like enough, but we were happy to get that because the alternative was no minutes. Right, exactly. So I think we did a great job with the time we had. Roman had one of the most classic bars of all time. And if you haven't seen it, get to the, it's the very first one. We start off the best of with it. And it's a point where he says what happens when he wakes up in the morning and how it will affect you in your day. So, you know, check that out.

4:23O'Shea:And TJ, with the ultimate alley-oop reminding us to throw the ones up. What a moment. Yeah, that was really cool. What a moment, bro. Also a little nerve-wracking, man, because I can remember, you know, Paul Heyman is literally he's three feet away and everything I'm saying like he's literally staring like right at me and I'm like I felt like a little nervous because you don't want to say chuckle give me a well no he was into it but like he was very focused and I was like man you don't want to say something stupid you know you don't want to stammer stutter you want to like make sure the good questions to a promo real quick yeah because it was you know it's different when I say that because sometimes this hasn't happened but you could be talking to somebody and they're just like, you know, they're not really into it.

5:05But Paul was fully focused, and it was just like, oh, man, all right, we're in this right now. And remember, that was four months into the show. Yeah.

5:17O'Shea:Our first four months, and we're up there with Paul and Roman. And that was our second one of the day. We started off with L.A. Night, remember? It was cool. We was like, all right, it's going to be nice. Hey, guys, Roman's on his way. I'm talking instant lock in. Like, all right, this is it. This is what it's all about right here. And, yeah, we were able to get a great moment out of that and an NCW exclusive because he did say that he would be open to going for the World Tiger. Yeah, man. He did say that on no contest, first and foremost. But, yeah, man, it's been a great journey. You know, I appreciate you.

5:55O'Shea:Me? Yeah. I mean, as you should, but why in particular? it's just you know you're good you're a great tag team partner you are a off camera just piece of work let me tell you all right hey hey let me get this one right here please help me i love it here now what does that mean nothing man i'm just watching out for any barbershop windows that's all that's how he threatened me by the way he threatens me with like stuff that happened on wrestling just like little easter eggs that like oh he was talking about this moment yeah you see the kendo stick i'm a survivor speaking of survivors first of all everything he just said is false other than i'm a great tag team partner i say off camera yeah what you say now i fully expect to be the one he tries to throw through the barbershop window so you know I love you man listen but I'm the toxic one anyway before you go on some rant you know a lot has happened a lot has happened including for those who are in the know Steve Rogers is back alright Steve Rogers Captain America is back but I'm so confused as to what I tried to read it I don't understand all I know is that moment, right, that Thanos pieced up the Incredible Hulk, the greatest of all time, my favorite cartoon character of all time, when he treated him like Cain Velasquez treated Brock Lesnar and I realized that the Hulk wasn't coming back from that ass kicking, that was the moment I kind of lost some love.

7:40He beat a scholar into his ass. Yeah, they ruined it. They ruined my entire life of Marvel Comics, my entire life of cartoon. Hulk was the biggest, the baddest, the strongest and Thanos put a beat down on the Hulk like we've never seen and like you said sent him to the books and I can't overcome that my love for those movies is not as strong as it was two minutes before that fight happened

8:07O'Shea:when Thanos pieced up Hulk it's just crazy that Hulk was like you know what, maybe it's me maybe I need to relax I'm the problem green tea from now on. I'm chill. I'm chill. He slapped some sense into his ass. I didn't. I don't even know why we brought that up. Yeah, but the reason why I brought it up is because while Steve Rogers is back, I would like to remind everybody that Captain America is still black, and his name is Carmelo Haynes. Right? Yo, shout out to him, man. He finally did it. You're a United States champion. Yeah, he and Ilya Dragunov, man, they put on a banger of a match, which actually happened two weeks ago at a taping of SmackDown that they released and they aired this past Friday, which I'm surprised.

9:01I knew it had happened, but the internet didn't really blow up the fact that the match was already pre-taped. People just kind of sat on it for the most part until they actually aired the match. you know ever since sammy zane got that u.s title and kind of wanted to do the john cena thing the u.s title matches have been carrying smackdown man you know what i mean and and ilia dragunov he's been putting in work he's made himself out to be a bona fide star yeah and i i'm kind of seeing now that that is the point now of the united states championship is to make an and elevate wrestlers. And Dragunov's been elevated.

9:41It's time for him to pass the torch off. Carmelo Hayes, who people have had high expectations, high hopes for since he was in NXT. You know, he was him. It says it on his chain. But, you know, he got called up. Didn't go on a winning streak. Had some losses. You know, he had a big-time match against Cody, I think was his first match. But a lot of people over the year, you know, they weren't happy. where Mello was, I think a lot of people were losing faith in him. But you really do. Unlike the Sixers who shouldn't have, when it comes to this, you got to trust the process. If they would have just pushed Mello to the moon right off the bat, there would have been pushback.

10:23We all know how that works when somebody gets something and people feel like it's been forced upon him. This is a case where you knew the man had talent. You knew that if they were in their right mind, they would have you know a direction for him they would have a purpose for him it took a while for i think people to see that that's a fact he had to pay his dues a little bit right then there ain't nothing wrong with that and now he got to the point where he is now the reigning united states champion and it wasn't because he went on a long winning streak it wasn't because he was pushed down someone's throat like people have to say organically it happened he paid his dues he won some he lost somebody always was ready for the next time and i'll say this remember a few weeks ago when he did that six seven count and i said sometimes it's something that small man yeah something that seems so stupid that can maybe just take you to a next step now i gotta be honest i don't recall i don't i didn't see the whole match because i had to i was on a plane watching it but i don't know if he did that six seven thing again since then but whatever it was a social moment.

11:30It was a viral moment. Did they help put a few more eyes on him? Maybe a little. Did it help him win this title? If it did, fantastic. But whatever happened, he's got it now.

11:41O'Shea:Yeah, I've seen WWE use the 6 '7 thing on some Javon merch. But he is the young old dude. It's his generation's running gag there. But yeah, man, Carmelo Hayes, for those of us who do watch NXT, we knew that this dude had something back when you know trick was his bodyguard and so to kind of see him starting to finally flourish feels good you know that that match that versus uh bronson in the john cena tournament was another key factor in uh the crowd getting behind him because how much they couldn't stand the vision we just couldn't see the vision get another dub Then when you got the faces that were the magnitude of a Punk, of a J, of a Cody, coming out to help him get the W.

12:35O'Shea:It's those things like that that might make some little kid think like, no, no, I kind of like him. And that snowballs into success. And like you said, the United States Championship is starting to develop. it's got over a span of 20 year history of the open challenge being a thing that does skyrocket it's almost like a constant tournament that always happens around this title and very happy for Carmelo would love to interview him obviously on the pod because I got some questions some things I got some questions I have no doubt in And then in 2026, hopefully early 2026, we will be talking to Mello.

13:24O'Shea:Yeah, because I need to know what the hell was up with that Laker Titan Tron that you used to have. What was that about? Your graphics used to be Laker colors, and they used to have your name and like a Laker logo for Carmelo Hayes. And then you're from Boston. What are you talking about? Okay, we'll save that question for Rezac. What do you mean you're from Boston? You know how much that broke my heart? We were at WrestleMania, and we went to that Gronk thing. We saw Carmelo and Kalani Jordan there. And I yelled, go Lakers to him. And now, his reaction makes all the sense in the world. Because I'm like, why did he act like that?

14:09O'Shea:I thought he was a Laker fan. He's from Boston. You know how disgusting that is? This is the second time this has happened to me. The other time was Mercedes Monet. Oh, back when she was Sasha Banks. And I heard she was from Boston. It broke my heart. It's gross. Sorry. I did a movie called Godzilla, King of the Monsters. My favorite part is that we blew up Boston. No contest.

14:40So I think these are all things that you might want to hold and actually say to Mello when we have him, you know, we were just working it out earlier. Yeah, yeah, sorry. I just, you know how I get. Yeah, you get a certain type of way.

14:53O'Shea:Something about them leprechauns, bro. I get it. I completely understand. Chris Brockman. But yeah, Mello, man, it's his time right now. So we're going to be interested. It looks like Johnny Gargano is going to be the first one stepping up to challenge him in the weeks to come. You know, and I'm sure he'll have to go through DIY, you know, and then who knows where the rest is. How do you feel about DIY? I know this is like I sandbagged you a little bit. Do I like them? Yes. I just don't know what's going on right there with the tag team. At least the tag teams are having a little bit of shine.

15:35Remember a few years ago, it was like tag teams were getting wiped off the map, right? So now we do have actual tag teams who are getting down and getting busy. So I do like that. Yeah, I think I went back and I watched Gargano versus Adam Cole from one of the NXT shows. And, man, Johnny Gargano, Johnny Wrestling can go. Tommaso Ciampa can go. So, yeah, DIY, I'm down with him, if that's your question. I love Ciampa.

16:09O'Shea:when he was NXT champion and he called her Goldie, and he would come out hugging the title. Like it was the most precious, the most valuable. I love that. He made that belt seem like this was the end of the week. And I've got to hold on to this tight and you can't have it. I did love that aspect of his character. When he was in that bag, I was like, this guy, he could be it. like he could if they just handle it the right way which is what you could preface with every single super a lot of yeah but man champa and gargano if you haven't because one thing that is that i learned through watching saturday night's main event with you know the whole john cena farewell tour is when people like oboe or soul or you know any of these people that we who watch NXT feel like we've seen forever.

17:04O'Shea:Once they hit Twitter, it was like, who is this? Where did they come from? Oba, this Oba guy, man, he could be it. Watch some Tuesdays, bro. Watch some Tuesdays. It's really good when you don't have somebody in your ear telling you how garbage it is compared to who gives a damn. Like, just watch. Just watch. I promise you, you will find people that you like. I wasn't always like that. But when I watched, when I picked up the black and gold brand back in the day, and I saw people like Tommaso Ciampa or just Adam Cole and everything that they were doing with the, boy, this is going to mess me up, the Undisputed Era.

17:46O'Shea:Yeah, because the other one, anyway, we'll get to that in a minute. But yeah, watching Aleister Black, and at the time, there was a guy by the name of Velveteen Dream who I just knew was going to be the guy. Man. Oh, man. You could spend an hour. Stardom, bro. He had it. He had it. It was right there. He had it. Right there. It was right there, man. Him and Ricochet. Oh, my God. That's for another time, though. So take some time. To look at NXT, man. I'm telling you. I agree with you. You will see what everyone says when they say, oh, that's it. That's it. There's no way to put words on it, but when you see it, you know it.

18:29O'Shea:And there's some people down there that are about to start running the building because there's a lot of people getting called up to SmackDown and Raw. But, yeah, check out NXT because that version of Tommaso and Johnny Gargano, That is why I always have a soft spot for DIY, but their best work is going against each other. Kind of, yeah. That's what's crazy. Their best work is when they hated each other. And you brought that up, and I said this for years. Back when NXT was really popping, back when I started watching it online, Adrian Neville was NXT champion. Yeah. So that's when I really got fully.

19:13that you know you had seth rollins was the first nxt champion then biggie that thick ass x belt right that x belt then you know bo dallas was champion and then it was adrian neville now known as pa or pack i'm still confused sometimes you know and then uh sammy zane won the championship followed by kevin owens so that that area that era of nxt and then when guys would get called up the crowd didn't seem to know who they were and my thought was this if you're a wrestling fan and you love wrestling why on earth when it's readily available yeah you had to search for it a little back in those days but like why would you not be watching nxt like how do you not know you know who kevin owens is when he came up because he was already sort of a wrestling household name as kevin steen but like there were so many people who don't know these guys to be hit the actual main roster, call yourself wrestling fans, but the future is right there and you're not paying attention to it.

20:14I don't know that. I'm glad you brought that up. That was always weird to me, but maybe I have too much time on my hands. Maybe that's the case. It could very well be.

20:23O'Shea:I mean, you got a cool job, dude. You got a cool job. That's true. We've had people come on the show, AJ Styles being people, I guess, in this conversation. but even NXT is under what's known as the WWE bubble you're not checking it out a little bit you'll find some gold and even if you don't want to watch every Tuesday catch one of these PLEs when they really know that they got eyes on them or they get an arena that they got to sell out peep one of them PLEs you'll find some gold over there man you'll find somebody you like man you'll get attached you get attached and that my first times watching nxt is why i have such an attachment to tommaso champa and johnny cargana because i've seen those dudes kill each other yeah yeah the first time when champa turned on johnny remember when he they lost the tag team match they get up the ramp and then he just slammed them on through like it was like they were brutalizing each other that feeling that there's a group of fans who might feel that, oh, this again.

21:39O'Shea:But there's a level of comfort that I know myself as a viewer has, so I know the guys in the back got it, the guys who are writing this whole thing. But when I see on the card Sami Zayn versus Kevin Owens, I know I'm going to be taken care of. Yeah, that's... That's comfort right there. Dude, yeah. They're about to put on. That's like chicken soup for the soul. Yeah. And you know that, like, they might have told them what they're going to do. But they're going to try something else. You know, there's going to be a few of those. Let's just do it. That's what they're going to do. Let's just do it.

22:14O'Shea:And that right there is what you get when you get Tommaso versus Johnny. But, I mean, right now they feel like this DIY tag team is something that they're going to wear with. I can see them down the road getting the titles and losing them. And we do see that same thing play out. Because obviously people weren't watching it. So replay it. Oh, yeah, baby. And then you get it to a bigger audience, and they're going to see how money that was. Because that feud was truly classic. Yeah, man. DIY. We here at No Contents. We see. And you know what? We didn't, like you said, sandbagging. I don't look at it like that.

22:45But we didn't even plan on talking about this. You just brought it up. But it's just like music, right? Everybody, well, I won't say everybody, obviously. But so many people love it when they discover a band first, right? before the band blows up. You're like, oh, Pete, this. You should have heard their stuff. You should have heard this. And same thing with actors or actresses. Oh, I remember them when they did a two-episode arc on Friends. My grandma used to see Michael B. Jordan and be like, you know, hospital. And that's kind of how you got to look at Evolve and NXT. If you just watch, you're going to find someone there who you're going to get an attachment to.

23:25And you're going to be able to watch that person as they rise up and then make themselves into a true superstar. And you'll have the knowledge that you've been following that person. And that makes you have a certain type of connection to them that, like I said, with a band, with an actor or an actress, with anything that you feel that you were on before the world got on. And you're going to find that with NXT. You're going to find a couple people down there that you're going to want to hit your wagon to, so to speak, and watch their rise. So, yeah, this just came out of nowhere. I love it, though.

24:00So, yeah, shout out to everyone, you know, who's on the grind, I guess what we're saying. Go, like we've always said, check out some indie shows if you can, right? Like, find some up-and-comers that you dig. They're there. They're there, exactly.

24:14O'Shea:Yes, there's plenty down at NXT that I wouldn't mind being hitched to their wagon at all. Okay, listen, we've been very good. I said what you said. I said what you said. I wouldn't be mine. I wouldn't mind being hitched to a wagon or two. In XT. All right, let's keep it moving. We don't want to get in trouble. Oh, I'm the bad guy. All right. I'm trying to keep you from being the bad guy. I'm looking out. Thanks, man. And then what else we have on SmackDown? Joe Hendrick. Yeah. He came up and. So we did have Joe, again, if you haven't checked it out on our YouTube page, check it out on Apple, Spotify, Amazon Music. But yeah, we did have a pretty great interview with Joe Hendry. He had a Christmas match. You know, there's always, the Christmas episode's always fun. There's always some shenanigans going on.

26:03You had Otis dressed up like Santa. Tozawa was, I guess, an elf. And then R-Truth comes down. And was he in the bunny suit, if I'm not mistaken? By the way, what the hell was the Easter Bunny suit? What are we talking about? it's our truth man you know but it was a miracle on 34th street match between joe and the miz and you know it's just like a tradition that they have that you know just some shenanigans go on but at the end you know they joe henry man he he got the dub and it's going to be interesting in 2026 to see the direction that he takes because obviously they have some plans for him it's pretty Yeah, they got to.

26:41They got to.

26:41O'Shea:They got themselves a smart, smart guy. What a great character to work with as well. Yep, exactly. And then we had Charlotte Flair defeat Lash Legend. A little surprise roll-up. Yeah, I mean, look, it kept Lash strong. It wasn't like she got dominated. At this point, maybe Charlotte should be defeating Lash Legend. Yeah, yeah, yeah. What, the 14-time champion, the vet, Lash, is just making her way. But she stayed competitive. You lost because of that move. Yeah, exactly. She didn't lose anything in terms of momentum or anything for her. It is what it is. And then, like you said, Mello defeated Dragunov.

27:24Mello, man. And then he gets in the back. He's cutting the promo. Then the aforementioned DIY came, attacked him. So, again, looks like we're going to get Gargano against Mello going forward, which is probably going to lead to Tommaso. Put on bangers. So, yeah, that's going to happen. And then Julia and Keanu James, they defeated Chelsea Green with fire. And, you know, a lot of fans are clamoring that they want more out of Julia. And she had some funny moments showing at Chelsea to shut up. And, you know, but, you know, for as great as Julia was before she got to WWE, a few people, you know, we say a few people online, they're a little like they want more.

Read the full transcript

28:04They expect more. She's so talented. She's so great. but again it's just a it's a it's a time thing it'll it'll come because she's far too good

28:13O'Shea:to not succeed right so i i i'm gonna say this she needs to be in money in the bank oh i think that's she needs to be in money in the bank for sure and like whether she wins or not i don't know yeah she's gotta be involved gotta be in it because i was thinking about the uh my favorite women's money in the bank which was the one where tiffy won in 2024. I think they were in Canada. Yeah, they were in Canada. And that Money in the Bank, yes, it was for Tiffy time. Chelsea probably had second best spot of the night with the way that the ladder was falling into the two tables. But Lyra and Zoe Stark stood out in that match, dude.

29:03O'Shea:And I really want to see that for Julia because she goes. You get her in some spot moments with EO and you will start to see a shift. I definitely think that needs to happen. I would love to see it. We got to get her. I know she on SmackDown, but you got to get her and Bacare to give y 'all some classics. Again, it's coming. You got to. These two are going to be here for a while. It's going to happen. We will see it. Just we don't know what the time is. You're right. And then we have Drew McIntyre, friend of the show. Yeah. Challenges Cody Rhodes, Cody Raheem Rhodes, to a three stages of hell match for the undisputed championship in Berlin, Germany.

29:49And McIntyre explained that, and I wrote this down, he wanted a fair match held outside of the United States and close to home because Drew's been, you know, he feels and probably rightfully so he's gotten screwed over quite a bit in the past. So, you know, the three stages of hell is what it is. It's two out of three falls. Okay. Three different matches. You can have a street fight, a steel cage match and a ladder match. That is, you know, something that Triple H and Shawn Michael did in 2000. I believe in three, two, I was two or three somewhere back there. So maybe I don't know if I've missed what their three stages are, but I'm assuming that it will probably be, you know, a cage and a street fight and a ladder makes kind of sense so you know whoever wins two out of those three falls will stand tall as the undisputed champion what are you thinking about that

30:46O'Shea:um you know I'm love Cody that's my dog Neville Babies for Life I know that wasn't cheap no no no I mean for me yeah I mean, listen, but it's not the point, TJ. Drew's got to win.

31:08O'Shea:I'm so tired of seeing Drew get to this wall and nothing happens. And now you have him pick the stipulation, and it's this incredibly drawn-out thought of love idea child of Triple H. You got to get it done. he has to get it done or it's got to be over you know the feud has to die there he says that he he wants to do it outside of the united states so he wants to have it in berlin germany germans notorious for their fairness and it is uh yeah it's going down it ain't going up and i need drew mcintyre to get this done i love cody cody you have plenty of time to get the belt back but Drew, you gotta get this done I'm a Drew fan as well as Cody I just, I don't know, something tells me that Drew's gonna win at least one of these stages and then he's not gonna get the job done, another he's gonna crash out again and I do hope to see him holding gold at some point in 2026 but I I don't know if I'm gonna allow myself to believe it's gonna be you know, after this three stages of hell happens so So, but yeah, and then you're also going to get Alistair Black and Damian Priest, who've been having an interesting little thing going on there.

32:28They're going to be in an ambulance match next week from Buffalo. So, you know, how that goes. The loser gets shoved into the ambulance, man. You get beat down so bad, you know, that's it.

32:40O'Shea:Yeah, he's going to need somebody in his corner. You know, you don't go into a match like that without the numbers game. Well, they do. Like Zelina will be with Alistair and maybe Mommy, Rhea will be with Kreese. We ain't got the green light yet. She got to be there. And then the guy who's a personal favorite of ours, we do show favoritism here and we are not ashamed to show it. That's our guy, Trick Williams. Trick Willie makes his debut on SmackDown in front of a nationwide crowd. He's in Nick Aldis' office and he's got the, what do you say, the lemon pepper steppers. up on the table and you know trick and i've said this to trick i've said this on twitter years ago when it was the trick mellow gang i knew they were pushing mellow and i said that dude who's with him if he can go in the ring at all is going to be a star i just looked at him and thought that this guy was going to be a star and i've been proven correct former like he gave his resume made of Cody when he stepped in, you know, Iron Survivor winner, two-time NXT North American champion, two-time NXT champion, TN Trick and A.

33:53Yeah. Trick Williams is money to me. I know you feel exactly the same way. Like I said, he's one of the few guys we have a group chat with. So, yeah, we're a little biased. I'm not afraid to admit it. But I feel like Trick is the full package, and he's going to be here for the next decade or so doing his thing. So it was real dope to kind of see him. and he's basically asking Nick, like, look, Raw's going to give me a bag. You going to match this? Which I think will be on SmackDown because, of course, Lash is on SmackDown and they like to keep couples together even when they haven't truly been, you know, acknowledged on TV as a couple.

34:26Like, we all, most people know that they're engaged and together. Like, Trick told us, yeah, I went to her apartment one day and I never left. Right.

34:36O'Shea:As you should, bro. As you should. He goes, I went there and I didn't leave. Didn't leave. You know what? I don't blame you. We'll be watching, babe. I don't blame you. So, yeah, it's going to be interesting. I think Trick is going to be a SmackDown guy. SmackDown's going to three hours. I don't know if that's a good move or not, but what it is is it's going to give us, I don't know, 20, 25 more minutes that they're going to have to, you know, shine a light on some up-and-comers. So I feel like he's going to be one of the people that they have to shine that light on. Absolutely. You know, with the Netflix deal, Raw kind of snuck back in as the A show, you know, quiet as kept.

35:09O'Shea:Yeah, they've been holding firm to that all year. Like, SmackDown might still have, like, you know, the big belts. You know, they got Cody over there. They got Jade over there. And they have the, you know, the giant logo belts. You know, the ones that they put on who is supposed to be showcased as the number one in that division. And, yeah, SmackDown has kind of wavered a little bit. Like I said, the U.S. championship has really helped. Yeah, that really helped out. But then when news like Trick Williams, Tiffon Evans, and Oba all getting called up, it makes you think, are we on UPN? Because there's black people everywhere.

35:55O'Shea:SmackDown is back on UPN because we're like, bro, it's getting thick. So three hours makes a lot of sense to me. Yeah. So we're going to see the spotlight put on some really great young talent who are ready. a lot of times people aren't ready these people you've mentioned and others i think they're ready for the moment man so it's going to be fun it's going to be fun to watch absolutely i will be watching no doubt and then you know over in aw man um hold on all right go ahead

36:27why don't you explain what that yeah man because like we see the comments guys all right we see

36:33O'Shea:the comments. We like to talk about everything, but sometimes you just need the planets to align, and they're aligned today. So I want to make sure that that comment section is filled with all of y 'all who swear we get paid by the WWE. Because we don't, first of all, first and foremost, and also, the day I do, you will be the first to know, let me tell you. But, as you said, we're about to talk about AEW, y 'all. So get the pop going. I want to see you down there now. And thank you for your support. Well, I mean, it might stink after we're done. Who knows? Listen, we want you to be upset. We want you to be mad.

37:13O'Shea:And then when you get in the comments, you know, we're going to make sure we get in contact with you. And then we're going to get into the DM so we can discuss. We can get an address on you. Because then TJ is going to send you a cape. And, man, when you get that cape, then you can be super mad. It's all right. I mean, don't really expect a cape. Yeah, no. Maybe a barbecue. Let's talk about what happened this weekend, man. Yeah. You got to see the whole show. Absolutely, bro. I did not think that they were going to start off. World's End. Bro, World's End with Takeshita versus Okada. That was amazing.

37:45What a way to get the show started, right?

37:48O'Shea:Dude, right. Now, let me get something to drink. Hold on. And yeah, I love Takeshita so much. And I just want him to be okay. because they want him to snap. They want him to lose it, and they deserve it. They deserve it. The way that they – I just remember I watched the match, and we'll get to the details, but that ending, I thought, not like this. Not like this, Okada. Don't do this to me this way. And, you know, they cheated my boy. My poor, poor Takeshita. well he lost it's not no harm in losing to the greatest tournament wrestler like that you know yeah there's no harm in it but like it just didn't feel good but i love the way that they use that detail of the okada to catch the match to also affect the outcome of another match down the road because my man fletcher was looking for that screwdriver and like that that type of detail and storytelling that's that's fun and the thing is the screwdriver right so kata pulls goes to the turnbuckle he pulls the screwdriver yeah how is the referee not noticing he's so he most definitely is just sitting there watching i can understand if you've got the handle of the screwdriver right and you got that kind of covered but there then there's at least a six inch piece of metal floating around like how are you not noticing and then after he uses it he sticks it in his trunks like you have to be extremely confident in your aim to put a screwdriver down the front of your pants where your little okada is like man like i don't know and then he's got it up around the like i just i'm not i don't think i'm confident after a long match and i'm tired out right to put it back in my tights and then you can't see it but yeah he used the foreign object he had the screwdriver and then he goes to the front of the ring and here comes the ref and I'm like he better do this for the ref comes around the corner luckily the ref stopped he shows the camera the screwdriver he throws the ring and then you know he Don Callis you know he basically was like sorry Takeshita and he walks up the ramp with Okada and leaves the alpha sitting there on the mat like you know what's the deal so I think we're seeing that you know Takeshita is going to be I think pushed as a baby face, obviously.

40:17I think that writing is pretty much on the wall if he hasn't already fully happened. But yeah, you know, IWGP heavyweight champion, that's major in itself. So he shouldn't be really taking any pinfall losses, to be quite honest. And if it wasn't Okada that pinned him, I think a lot of people would have been a little pissed off because with that belt, you shouldn't be losing. But it was Okada. So, you know, and so there's that.

40:45O'Shea:And I have to, at times where I get emotional about decisions, I have to remember what I'm watching. I have to remember that usually this means that there's something in the works for you later on. And this is just a seed being planted. But, man, when I look at Takeshita, dude, that is just how I would build a wrestler. like if i if i could create like go on he's your d okay yeah bro a hundred percent downloadable character this dude is just money he's just money he can all of his powerhouse moves believable he could give you the technical side if you really want it he has so many tools at his disposal that like how do you not look at that dude and think if you could sculpt a wrestler that you wouldn't make Takeshita.

41:42Yeah, he would definitely be one of the blueprints. He's the man, dude.

41:46O'Shea:I just want to see him flourish. Well, he's on his way. The IWG champion, bro. He's about to leave Don Cowles for sure, but I need him on American TV kicking ass. And it'll happen, because he is that good. And then we had the Continental Classic semifinal Blue League runner-up, John Moxley. Yeah. Defeated the Gold League winner, Kyle Fletcher and two things stand out from this match. Moxley losing a tooth on the steel steps, which was wild to me because it looked like when his, when Fletcher had him in the corner of the ring post with the steps. And then I don't know, did he pull them out somehow?

42:27But Moxley's whole face went forward and he just caught the end. Next thing you know, the tooth is gone. So yeah. So that happened. And then that, move that he got dropped on Kyle Fletcher got dropped on his head

42:41O'Shea:yeah it reminded me of that Braun Breaker situation back in the war games oh right when Braun yeah but I don't know which one was I don't know man I don't know which one was worse but they were equally as bad and you know that was so bad that you know William Regal came out and just basically pleaded with the young wrestlers don't when it comes to your head and your neck don't do that stuff man because that is you got to think of your career beyond wrestling man and you know just the other day i'm watching a video of michelle mccool who i would say you know i was a michelle mccool fan i was a lay cool fan but i would say that with the amount of time she spent on the roster she probably definitely didn't have the amount of damage done to her because you know they didn't let the women really throw down like that in hard time but she's sitting there and saying you know she's trying to stretch and she's showing how she's having neck problems so then and i'm pretty sure she never got dumped on her head like the way that fletcher or braun breaker did and and fletcher and in osprey bro when they be doing those turnbuckle bombs yeah like so yeah i mean i appreciate it man i really do but like you gotta you gotta think about it man you gotta you're hopefully got a long life and as someone who's had back problems you know that is literally crippling and it's the worst and you know maybe it's because we get older you know just want these people yeah like i love the entertainment but i really hope you're okay and that was scary that was just a scary scary spot right there oh and um but but man i love me some kyle flesher yeah i um the proto star what a great name like he's not a prototype he's not a superstar he's the the proto star you know he's a pretty typical superstar maybe is and the dude can he can make a believer out of you whether that be pissing you off through what he's saying over the mic or the as hard as he goes in that ring there's always going to be people online comparing uh superstars or pro wrestlers whatever you want to call them and a lot of people want to compare him to randy i feel like he's a little bit more um randy will keep you on the ground and beat your ass yeah you know you might not see the turnbuckle ever you know it might be a bunch of either strikes or quick slams or you know you're rarely gonna like yeah like he he has a very grounded move set and attack but gets the most out of it like just theatrics and like everything that goes into the dramatization of the scene.

45:25O'Shea:Randy can grasp that without doing too much. Kyle can do that, but also let's climb this. Yeah, let's start this match with Ospreay. I'm going to climb to the top of a 15, 20-foot cage and sit there like, nah, man, come on. He's nuts. Cashews, baby. Shout out. Moxley got the dub there. Then we had the Tag Team Championship Chicago Street Fight match. FTR they defeated the Bang Bang Gang good to see them back Austin Gunn, Juice Robinson but FTR is they spent some time away from the title picture which was good because that way now that they've won it's a little bit fresh because they were chasing for so long so FTR and a lot of people feel like Like, you know, a lot of people have them on their Mount Rushmore tag teams.

46:22I can't put them on mine per se, but I appreciate the work. I appreciate the effort. I appreciate that they are one of the best tag teams in the world, without a question.

46:33O'Shea:They are going to kill me for this. But, like, I've never been there on my Mount Rushmore guy either. And it's not anything to do with what they do in the ring. Yeah. It's just that I've seen some insanely great tag teams. Yeah. Yeah, like, you know, just, and even a little, like, charismatic. When I see FGR, I think they're here for business. Here for business. We'll beat your ass. We're going to go in the back. Top guys out. Yeah, that's it. You know, and there's no disrespect, but, like, Mount Rushmore, I don't know. I don't know if I can put them there yet. But they are a great tag team. There's a lot of amazing tag teams that can't make Mount Rushmore.

47:12O'Shea:It's only four spots. Yeah, you know, so that's not a disrespect. They've had championships in all the major promotions. Well, you know, WWE, NXT, and AEW. So, yeah. But there was that spot, though, with Stoke. Man, Stokely missed the table. Stoke? Wow, man. It was like somebody put too much wax on the table or something. Stoke is an entertaining mind. Yeah. And I hope he's all right because the way, you know, Shawn Michaels, kind of how he messed his back up, having a fall like that where you land on that part of your back, Like, small, your back table should have broken. It didn't. So hopefully he's all right.

47:48O'Shea:I wonder if Stoke is like, once again, I apologize if I'm ignorant to this information or not. If he's produced any, like, matches or, like, I want to see where his mind is on that side of things. Because when you find somebody who is so easily, like, he's just, he grabs the audience so easy. He's so entertaining. Without doing anything Deaf-defying or anything like that Some of his one-liners and stuff Remember when he called Daniel Oh, you raggedy bitch When he called Brian Daniels I was going to be Daniel Brian Yeah, that part Yeah, bro Ethan Page was standing there with him And he was just looking at him He's an entertainer And then when he had The whole time that he was with Stat and Willow and him That was entertaining.

48:43He got it. He really does, man. He's truly entertaining. I hope he's okay. Yeah, shout out to Stokely, man. And then we had the Women's World Tag Team Champions, the Babes Roth. They defeated Mercedes Monet and Athena, which is crazy. Crazy, man, right? And then now you've seen kind of like they built Mercedes up 13 belts, and now she's, you know, she lost one to Red Velvet. She lost the TV. Now it was the British Commonwealth or whatever it was that she lost to Alex Windsor, you know. And now she took the L in this tag team match. And then she got back and did an interview with Lexi where she dropped an F-bomb and crashed out in the dressing room.

49:28And is this where this is going now? Is she going to start slowly but surely losing all of these belts? And if so, you know, where does that take her? but obviously now a win over Mercedes. And I think that was the whole point. She shouldn't just be randomly losing, right? Maybe she should be winning these belts because now at this point, when you have a dub, when you get the three count on Mercedes Monet, that means something because there aren't a lot of people who have that in the last two, three years, right?

49:59O'Shea:And for a month, maybe two, maybe even if you play it out, you can have this for a few years but because mercedes did this to these places and there is a world where they do get their title back that person who gets the title back for the promotion you are elevated immediately yeah you brought it back now that thing is is worth a little bit more because it was part of mercedes cyclone of championships and so now for it to bring back it's got a little buzz on it in the right promotion the right bookers you can you can make that work for you know for the house for a long time yeah so if you remember willow nightingale it was always a end game wasn't like a star no until she was in that match for mercedes and she broke her ankle when she won what was it the strong women's championship yeah it was strong i think that's a strong style so i apologize because i i didn't even think there's a million to talk about this.

51:03But that, because that happened, Willow had to be elevated because you can't get a win over Mercedes then going back to 50-50 booking at that point. And now look at her. Tag team champion, you know, Willow Nightingale is a star. I forget Viqueira. Stephanie Viqueira, the same thing. And then you saw what happened. The other side saw that match and was like, hmm, okay. I'm gonna need that. Had that not happened, she'd probably still, she'd probably be in AEW right now to be honest. And she was gonna, to succeed wherever though. Then you had Darby Allen beat up, gave Kidd in a very bloody affair.

51:39A little nod to Austin there with Kidd just bleeding and not tapping out, but Darby's a sicko.

51:47O'Shea:Yeah, you know, he's and he wants to I mean, I guess, can you say that for saying this thing did win, but he doesn't want a title. He doesn't want hardware. He's just doing it for the love of the game that is some sicko stuff right there and uh yeah the indestructible darby allen and that's a dangerous uh way to live your wrestling life right but i mean he takes pretty sick he takes some i mean gabe when gabe tossed him down the steps which isn't the first time no obviously we've seen him but what a crazy sentence that is but each time it just gets like oof bro yeah because you're only what a yard and a half a buck 70 yeah you know to and that's a lot of punishment i mean his finisher is a trust fault you're a sick lunatic dude darby allen darby allen crazy all in in the best way i guess and then the mixed nuts mayhem match first of all you got to love that name roddy strong timeless tony storm and the and orange cassidy and mark briscoe they defeated death riders and you know the thing that stood out here obviously i think is a lot of people i'm sure a lot of our viewers probably know this but i'm sure many more don't know that roger strong and marina shafir are actually married and so when they had that moment and it's at least the second time where they faced out but the first time or faced off i should say first time it got as physical she hit him with that anderson silver front kick like wow yeah you And then she turns her back, and then Roddy came back.

53:26One day when we get to talk to Roddy Strong, I got to ask, how uncomfortable was it knowing that you were going to smack, chop the crap out of your wife's back? And he hit her so hard. The sound, you would have thought Big Show was chopping somebody. He caught her like, crap, and then they both got dumped out the ring. But the crowd loved it because those in Madrid, them they're new to the situation but it's crazy right to see a husband and a wife this is like i thought for a split second it's like watching mr and mrs smith go at it you know what i mean like

54:02O'Shea:any argument that has happened the last six months was he been waiting on that night like the purge i'm gonna get her ass just you wait wow that's crazy yeah so the the good guys as they say the conglomeration, Roddy and Tony. And then you had Tony and Orange Cassidy doing like their little... That's what I was about to say. Yeah, that was... Well, you're not losing if you got these two together. Not in Tony Khan's house. No. Tony Khan ain't about to make Tony Storm and Cassidy lose? Yeah. No. No, not in Tony's house. So, yeah, that was... And, you know, we're still building towards it looks like Marina's gonna get her shot to go up against Tony.

54:43We'll see. Marina did have a good promo where she said that Are you mad that I held your lover, Mina, tighter than you could ever hold her? That was kind of harsh. And then she called her some bad words in another language. But yeah, the mother's milk, I read some people like the names and don't. I think the name's kind of dope. Yeah. And when you look at what's happening, yeah.

55:07O'Shea:Yeah, it's like she's getting breastfed almost. It makes sense. It's like a front sleeper that you're holding her close to your breast, to your chest. So yeah. Honestly, it sounds terrible for the back. Yeah, man. Mother's milk. Mother's milk. And then we had Stat Daddy, Chris Statlander against Jamie Hayter. Go ahead and do what you're doing. Every time Jamie Hayter's name is announced, you go, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate. Chris Statlander. Hater, right. What a woman. Chris Statlander against Jamie Hayter. And Stat Daddy, she gets the win. There was another instance of a top rope kind of bump.

55:43I don't know what the move was, but it looked like, I'm assuming Chris kind of tucked her head when they landed, but it looked like Jamie was landing right before. Right on the top of her plate. But like, oh, man.

55:56O'Shea:Slow motion, it looks like, oh, they did that perfectly. But in regular, it's just such a on-the-border catastrophe. Yeah, it kind of gets your heart up in your throat. I mean, I guess that's what it was supposed to do. Yeah. Ugh. Just let. Oh, my God. Yeah, no. Big E in, like, that whole thing has had me, like, such a parent for these guys. Yeah, because you saw, like, Big E has, you know, a 20-plus-inch neck, man. And if that could break, it does. It does kind of worry me, especially when you see, like I said, a nonsense hater coming off the top rope. And, oh, man, you just. Yeah, and a quick cut to the crowd also makes me nervous, whoever's directing the show.

56:43O'Shea:Like, if I see a spot where I'm like, oh, that didn't look good, and then the next thing they show me is two shots of the crowd, I'm like, oh, something happened. Something happened, right? Like, oh, my God, dude. I guess that's the point. But, yeah. So, Statlander. Looked great, though, ladies. They both did an awesome match. Like, you know, and I mean this in the best way. That was like a Haas fight. Those two just going at it, man. The back and forth clotheslines. You know, just I watch those two wrestle anytime they're on. Yeah, man. Oh, those two are wrestling? Okay, well, I'm going to cancel my plans for tonight.

57:19I'm going to watch Stat Daddy and Jamie Hayter just go beat the crap out of each other.

57:22O'Shea:There was a couple of times during that match where, never mind. See, I was about to press the issue, but I think it's best that I don't press it. But, you know, obviously, Statlander and Hader. Hader 8. Yeah, that I mean. You get the NCW two thumbs up. And then you had the Continental Classic Finals, which you saw Jon Moxley defeat Kazuchika Okada, who was the unified champion. But now the unified title doesn't exist anymore because now Moxley is the continental champion, while Okada still has the international championship. But the Unified Championship, as it exists now, no longer exists. Yeah.

58:09So I don't know if that just sits there and wait until one day the Continental and the International get back together and one person wins. And then I don't know. Not sure how that's going to work. But, you know, Jon Moxley cut a great, passionate promo at the end of that match. And it seems like they're trying to push him face. Is he face? He's face. You know, I don't know. Does that mean they've been threatening that the Death Riders were going to kick him out for months? Or the Life Riders. The Life Riders. Interesting. Riding for life. Because now you've got Marina getting cheered a little bit.

58:45Willer is getting cursed out of every building he's in for life because of what he did to Daniel Bryan. And then you've got Pac. Yeah. who, holy cow, that dude has put on some muscle.

59:05O'Shea:Muscle? Bro, he's shaped like an exclamation point. All right. Well, no, an exclamation point is... Bro, depends on how you draw it. Yeah, but most people, I think if you haven't seen it, you're probably not thinking he's as buff as he swole way down. Yeah, dude's young. Dude is, you know, dude's young. And Daniel Garcia, who I always thought should have been in the BCC, the Blackpool Combat Club way back in the day. I thought that's where he should. The hip thrust was selling too much, bro. They really were. Come on, bro. You can't even be serious. I feel like he's in the good spot right now.

59:37He's with a group who he should be with. I feel like his style, his type of wrestling just fits in perfectly with them. So we'll see. We've been thinking that this group was going to kick Mox out for months now, especially after a few tap outs and losses. But now, you know, he won this classic and he won this tournament, man. So we're going to see.

59:59O'Shea:Have an amazing moment. Shout out his team. Shout out pretty much everybody who busts their ass in a square circle, which is what we like to do on our show. So, you know, if you got to knock him for that, then I don't know what to tell you. But I will say. Like, hear his ass go.

1:00:20O'Shea:The fact that I had to watch two matches about this tournament and still couldn't, like, I had to hear on the stipulations, kind of like how you just did now, on why he's still the champ, but the tournament's really for this belt. So if he wins, then he gets that belt, but Okada's still the champ. And, like, I had to go through that twice. It's more impressive than Chris Jericho beating The Rock and Stone Cold. the same night. We gotta get this laid out a little bit more for the audience. Just a little bit. I know here he go asking for most shit. But like, you know, you hear a lot about WWE constantly having to here they go force feeding the audience again.

1:01:04O'Shea:Yeah, it keeps them informed so they know what's going on. And just in case you were out of the room or didn't see last week, hey, come back here so we can tell you again. Because like the tournament layout system, I know that it's something New Japan is known to do and like it's something that uh those who are in the know over there know what's going on but um it's not an easy thing you really truly have to follow that yeah let me know so you know the point system and you know it's confusing yeah you know so you really have to be dedicated to watching this tournament and paying attention um and if you're just gonna casually watch it then you're not going to really fully get the point system and what went down.

1:01:49But also, if you just watch, you got to see some really great matches. Even if you didn't understand the points, if you didn't understand the tournament, there were some great matches the last couple weeks. So, yeah, shout out to Moxley for getting it done and winning that. And then...

1:02:05O'Shea:Wait, wait, wait. Before, because I want to ask you personally your opinion on this, because I was watching with somebody who doesn't watch New Japan and had a question that I didn't have the answer to. Okay. They said, wait, if he's champion, how come he gets to be in the tournament? I was like, what do you mean? Oh, sorry. I was like, what are you talking about? I was like, well, if they're fighting for his belt, why is he not waiting at the end like a final boss? And I just didn't know how to answer. Yeah, I mean. Because they want to see Okada, bro. Yeah, they want to see Okada fight. I guess that is a good, and I'm sure there is a reason, but it's also like you have to you're defending that you're the champion but you've got to defend it and this is how yeah you got to go on the path too yeah i guess that's already got the belt then everybody should be fighting to fight me and i was like see this is that this is because you just watched the john cena tournament it was like a whole thing well i'm sure hopefully someone in the comments of one of these who were a little bit more knowledgeable about that yeah shout us out Leave a description.

1:03:08Leave a reason why that is. Because I get it. I understand. That's a good question. And one that I cannot answer right now at this moment, other than the fact that I don't completely fully understand the tournament. I have, I'd say, about an 80 % understanding of it. That's a B. Yeah. But outside of that, man, there was just great matches. So if you just take the matches for what they were, it was exciting. It was entertaining. And I'm sure you probably loved it out there watching at home. I know there was a few bangers that I loved. You know, the CEO caught M. Moxley go at it. That's pretty dope, man.

1:03:42It really is. And then a four-way match for the AEW World Championship. We had Samoa Joe taking on Swerve Strickland, taking on Hangman Adam Page, taking on the returning Maxwell Jacob Freeman, MJF. And I guess it's a surprise to really nobody. MJF ended the night as the new two-time AEW Man's World Heavyweight Champion. Thoughts on that? Score more with the college-branded Venmo debit card and earn up to 5 % cash back with Venmo Stash. 1:04:59O'Shea:here's what i'll say all right and this is what this is something that you can either hate him or love him for it uh d-low get the bleep ready but uh tony khan don't give a f**k about who you think should have that bet well the thing is most people want most aew fans want Well, like, you know, you think, oh, man, yeah, Hangman, you know, Hangman, all that. Yeah, I want to put on some more Joe. All right. Okay. All right. Yeah, no, that's cool. You know, Joe's coming to the end of his career. So it's actually really cool that they did it this way. Yeah, man, good after Joe. Yeah, I want to put on MJF.

1:05:42O'Shea:Okay. So what's the point of Joe getting off Hangman the other night? I was just doing something nice for Joe. Who cares? It's what I want to do, man. And I love that. Because, number one, you got to watch now because you never know. And you got to respect that. We, I know, yo, a Roman Reigns fan saying that the title should just be able to jump when it wants to. But, like, it works in some cases. In other cases, you don't want to cheapen the belt where the belt is just, like, being passed around. But not everything is going to have this long, drawn-out run. I had to learn that the hard way earlier this year when they definitely just romped it off Jey Uso.

1:06:24O'Shea:But, you know, that's... You should go back and look at that episode, how I felt about that. You know how I feel about TNA doing it to Mike Santana. But I really feel that... Kind of cool how Tony's handled the belt. Well, he didn't want MGF to beat Hangman or Swerve. So, gotta put it on Joe. Yeah. And Joe, he is on his way off the door. It is nice to give him. Go ahead, get one. Yeah, why not? Go ahead, get one. With Samoa Joe. And he's, let's be honest, he's incredible and believable any time he gets in the ring against anybody. But now you talked about hot shotting and hot potato in a title.

1:07:01You remember the last time MGF had this title, over 400 days, a year plus title reign. He is probably their biggest star, their biggest homemade star. So I don't see this title leaving him at least for a few months, right? Like, there's definitely not going to be any hot shotting of this belt. He's going to have the title for a little bit, and we're just going to see where it goes. But that being said, now he's got to face Swerve. He's got to face Hangman, probably Joe. Like, there is kind of a monster's ball lineup of people waiting for their title opportunity against him. So we'll see where this goes.

1:07:42But, you know, congratulations and shout out to MJF on becoming the man. One of the few. I don't believe there's more than 12. I know he posted a tweet about this, but I think it was more than nine. But there haven't been that many men or women who have been multiple time world champions in an organization under the age of 30. So that's very impressive. Shout out to him. I realized though throughout MGF's time in AEW there were basically two types of fans one who believed he's the greatest heel of all time and then the rest of the people who don't it just seems like the two can't meet in the middle there were certain people who everything he says, everything he does is the greatest thing to have ever been said or done in a wrestling ring or on a microphone then you have other people who kind of point out yeah this has been done by other people before it's been kind of the low-hanging fruit of insert city name crap on it.

1:08:45Look at a fan, call him a nerd or a virgin. Talk about your wealth and people are poor. These are tropes. These are things that have been done and repeated over 20, 30 years in wrestling. So we've seen it, but yet not here in AEW. So that's what makes it fresh for them.

1:09:04O'Shea:And that's where the balance comes in with MJF. And that's where I think he really has the opportunity to shine. It's because there's a thin line between being cliche and paying homage. You know? And we look at somebody like Gunther. Gunther! And we say, like, that's an old school wrestling bad guy right there. That, right. You heard what happened at the WWE staff meeting? Or Christmas party? Oh, he was handing out coal to kids? He was handing out coal to kids. I'm not surprised. Dog. A lot of them kids are mad. No cameras, no crowds. Just for the love of the game. For hating the kids. Yeah, just a boy and his ball, you know.

1:09:51O'Shea:Just like, that is what I'm talking about. But then we see, if you see somebody doing the, you know, the standard old school traditional wrestling thing on the mic then you start to that's when the cliche like oh we've seen this before so there's a there's a weird there's a thin line that you have to find the balance in and mjf is one of these people who is a film studier yeah you know you could tell he's a student of the game exactly student of the game so it is especially when you got that title on because when you got that title triple b now is back yeah so like it's it's very important because now you're in control of the house and so like you got to make sure you still putting those asses in seats and uh yeah it's about finding that balance for him and of course now that he's got the ball back in his court we have to wait and see but yeah that right there is where you make or break a lot of fans is that thin line between paying homage being a traditionalist and being cliche we've same old shit same old shit well one thing you know for sure is they're gonna take care of them they're gonna treat them right and we'll see where it goes from here but right now man the devil is on top of aw and uh man it's gonna be bad news for everybody right now man because now you would think does he go back does he assemble uh another faction to kind of because you're always kind of aew's big on factions you know that and if you're the champion you're on top he doesn't have a manager he doesn't have anybody watching his back ward low's not there anymore so he's got to be what happened to uh uh uh hangman yeah like That's why you lost to Joe.

1:11:41O'Shea:Joe got all this whole pack of wolves. And you was by yourself. Yeah, so we'll see. I mean, I fully kind of would expect MJ didn't work out, obviously, with the Hurt Syndicate. But we'll see, man, if he tries to build another faction to kind of help. Remember at one point it was FDR, him and Tully Blanchard, remember? Yeah, stuff with the Hurt Syndicate. Yeah, so we'll see. We'll see because obviously you're not well liked there. Everyone's going to be coming for you. You kind of probably would be due diligence to have somebody watching your back. So let's see if that pops up. That's the guy to bet on because the one thing I will say about AEW, AEW has great title hunters.

1:12:34O'Shea:like they got guys who's like when they're chasing the belt their stories are like like you're locked in yeah like you you like it means something to not only have a good champion but to have people that like are super believable that want it that hunt that are hunting for that chase always yeah you need to you need to be able to knock them off wwe runs into a lot of all right well let's keep the feud going for four or five matches might go a little yeah because you you either had somebody it was something that i was worried that cody was in the beginning because i i anybody who knows me i'm a roman guy cody's whole finish the story is great when you're chasing yeah it's great when you're hunting but then once you got it yeah what you gonna do with and cody was able to flip this qb1 thing into something where i feel like it's it's starting to get its feet a little bit on just like he knows that he's the face of the company and i'll do whatever it takes to keep that even if that means being a face and having some heel tactics yeah like him telling nick aldis like you work for me and yeah like oh which spicy in theory is true you are the champ you are number one on the call sheet oh but you know dog in the house yeah but that that cody rhodes it's not gonna happen it would be stupid to happen anytime soon because he literally is you know the face of the company but i'd say in a few years when the cody roads hill turn does happen it's going to hit like crack and a lot of you who haven't seen it haven't seen the work he did in the indies haven't seen what he did you know with bullet club if you don't know that that hill kind of a-hole cody man you are in for something else when that when that blonde when a little black start coming out because when home when homelander Cody does come bro watch out because it ain't going to be nothing nice there's a picture I brought it up before but there's a picture of Cody in a suit with the stardust face paint on but he's in a suit and it's the sickest shit dude yeah because you can tell he's still some off upset about that whole shit some off so if he's able to flip that into some money I'm all for it yeah but either way as we were saying about AW they got great hunters Swerve and Hangman Working together is something else I like that, but it can't last for long Exactly, bro, if one of them got the title, like, the hunt has to be there immediately so if they want to make some cash off of Swerve and Hangman for a little bit teaming up, they can't neither of them can have the belt Grade 8 chaser on the side That too, like, another feud for them this is way too soon, so we don't need those two literally those two literally put each other through hell for what two years so plus swerve just came back as super saiyan swerve like let him get his you know so but yeah shout out to the the two new champions that we really talked about mjf and uh mellow carmelo hayes and uh looking forward to seeing what you fellas do with those titles and um everyone else just be safe don't land on your necks yeah man protect your neck ncw come on now and now one thing we want to talk about you know it's the end of the year.

1:15:54It's going to be our last pod or last episode of the year. And, you know, a lot of people like to look back and say, you know, what was their favorite matches and moments of the past year, which is great. I like doing that too, but I also like to look forward, you know, like Oasis said, don't look back in anger. I'm not going to do that. Cause we have nothing to be angry about here at NCW. We've had a pretty awesome year, but I, it kind of reminded me, you know, back in the day as a kid, pro wrestling illustrated would always have this, episode or episode i'm still thinking we're doing podcasts but they would have this issue and i i don't know how many they they they did but i can remember in particular the one issue was champions and the men who will take their titles and they just did a prediction i think it was 1988 i found this in a used bookstore a few years ago and saw it so and it got me thinking right man instead of looking back on what happened i want to look ahead right and and what i decided to do is i wanted to take all of the champions from wwe aw and tna and then think about this time next year 12 months from now who is going to hold that championship you know you feel me so kind of went down wrote all the champions down.

1:17:19Not going to give you all right now. What we're going to do is we're going to just concentrate on the world champions and then on social later we'll drop the rest of the list of all the quote unquote secondary titles which aren't really secondary but you feel me? So let's kick it off with WWE and the current undisputed champion is Cody Raheem Rhodes. So 12 months from now December 2026 I feel that the man holding that belt is going to be Randall K. Orton.

1:17:52O'Shea:Oh, I feel he will be the man. And I'm not saying he's necessarily going to beat Cody for it, but I feel a year from now going into 27, that Randy Orton will be the undisputed undisputed. We'll put him at 15. I'll put him at 15. And who knows? Maybe he wins another point during the year. Maybe this is 16, but I feel 12 months from now, it'll be Randy. the world champion. We have current champion. We have CM Punk. Fan of the show. Straight favorite. But I feel 12 months from now, December, 2026, the man holding that belt is going to be the ring. I feel, you know, him being the man to put John Cena into pasture, being the man who put Bill Goldberg out the pasture, being the man who could possibly end the career of AJ Styles.

1:18:47I feel this time next year, Gunther will be the world champion. Okay. Okay. I like that. You like that one? I like that because, you know, they're setting him up. They're setting him up to be this Darth Vader, like I said,

1:19:04O'Shea:and I'm on Mono Xecina. And, yeah, right now he is one of those people that we were talking about how Darby Allin says he doesn't want to title that. You're big enough right now without one. special people could pull that off. And that's you right now, but I do know how much you love winning, and that usually leads you to a championship or two or three. Yeah. So there's that. Let's move on to the women's world champion side. And this was something you and I off-camera talked about earlier. They need a better distinction between these title names, right? Because on one hand, you have the women's champion, Jade Cargill, and then you have the women's world champion.

1:19:43I feel like there should be some type of more distinguishing name in there but regardless, the current WWE Women's Champion, The Storm came and she's riding high right now and that's Jade Cargill and after giving it thought I think this time next year, December 2026, the woman holding that belt, whether it's by beating Jade or not I feel going into 2027, Bianca Belair. Bianca Belair is going to be the WWE Women's Champion. And then we have the Women's World Champion. Like I said, let's do something to make that a little bit more distinguishable. But we got the devil's kiss, Stephanie Bacare. And she's the Women's World Champion and I feel this time next year Mommy will have that belt.

1:20:38Rhea Ripley. I know I didn't really go out on too much of a stretch. with Bianca and Rhea, but those are two of the top four stars in the company. Not really hard to believe that those two women, who've pretty much gone all year without holding singles gold.

1:20:56O'Shea:Yeah, for the naysayers out there. Yeah. I feel like it'll be Rhea and Bianca will be repping for the women next year. I'm never going to be mad at those two. There you go. And like I said, I will do another list where we'll also have the IC, the U.S. champion, the tag team champions, and we'll put that out on social a little bit later for you. Let's move to AEW, where right now the current world champion is like we just got done saying, Maxwell Jacob Freeman, MJF.

1:21:29Listen, you disgusting pores. The thing is, though, this time next year in December 2026, I feel the man who will be riding high on top of AEW as the all elite men's world heavyweight champion oh my god I don't think you'll know where I'm going with this because I think we're going to take this belt back to London we're going to take it back to England Will Ospreay I feel like he should be cleared early next year and I feel like Will Ospreay will finally get a hold of that belt and he will 12 months from now be the men's world champion.

1:22:11O'Shea:That's right. P's and match for everyone. Isn't it bangers and match? Then we got the women's world champion. And that's Stat Daddy. Oh baby. That's Chris Statlander and she is doing tremendous work. Big fan of hers. But I feel this time next year going into 2027 I think it's time. I think it's time for a little Monet. I think Mercedes Monet will be the AEW women's champion this time next year heading into 2027. What do you think about that? Definitely can see it. Mercedes Monet has been my favorite female wrestler since. I really like, because before she was very entertaining, she's always been entertaining.

1:23:03O'Shea:But it was just something about watching the display she put on Ronda Rousey at the Royal Rumble. It was like a wrestler kind of getting at Ronda for a second. She was like, I'm going to show you what I'm going to do. You're going to get the dub, but I'm going to make an example out of you. Are you kind of equating this to when William Regal got in the ring with Goldberg and kind of tied him up, wrestled him a little bit and did things he wasn't 100 %? Okay. And, like, that moment I was like, of course, I know her name is Mercedes-Benz before the comments go crazy, but I was like, Sasha Banks is my favorite female wrestler.

1:23:41O'Shea:Like, I love this right now. And from that day I have been signed on and I have been drinking this Kool-Aid. And I got to tell you, I feel a little funny, but it's good stuff. So, yeah, I can see that. It's about time. All right, Ben, like I said, later on we'll go through all the titles in AEW. right now I'm going to stick with some of the major ones and I'm going to go to the TNT of course the men's side you know and right now we got my guy the chicken man Mark Briscoe I'm I've reached for the sky boy I love that you know I really wish uh man I really wish the Briscoes could have made it to this stage while Jay was still alive because honest to goodness and I've said this before if you want to be entertained just go to youtube pull up some old brisco brothers promos i'm telling you both of these guys are two of the best promos that there is and mark brisco right now he is the current tnt champion but i feel at this time next year and there was so many people to choose from who going into 2027 is going to hold that title i'm going to go out on a limb and I'm going to give it to the bastard Pac.

1:24:55Is it Pac? Is it Pac? Like I said, it's Pac. Or is it Pac?

1:25:00O'Shea:Help me. I see Pac, but I'm also from California. So I see Pac. It's Pac. But it's the bastard Pac. It's Pac. So I feel like for some reason, it's time. He hasn't had a belt, a singles belt in a few years. Maybe he's the guy who will hold that. Remember in the beginning, he was like, he had the record. like yeah his standing record was it was crazy back when they were talking about how wins and losses were going to matter and i was like dang i think setting him up and he's being set up forever injuries of course play a part yeah that was it remember he had didn't he have like a visa issue for a while and he was injured now he's coming back looking like buff bagwell and yeah you know so yeah let's put some gold uh you know on his shoulder and then the the tbs champion that side That's the women's version.

1:25:49We got Mercedes Monet right now. She's the champion. But I feel a year from now, it's Megasaurus time. I feel Megan Bain, whether she's the one to beat Mercedes or not, this time next year, I feel Megan Bain will be the TBS champion. I can see it. Yeah. I can see it. Okay. You like that then. All right. Let's move to TNA real quick. Right now, the current world champion is Frankie Kazarian. As you know, he defeated our guy Mike Santana for that belt. And currently he is standing as the TNA world champion. But I feel 12 months from now, December 2026, listen to my homeboy Santana. I feel like Mike Santana will regain that belt at some point.

1:26:33And he will, going into 2027, be the TNA men's world champion.

1:26:40O'Shea:Maybe he gets to put it up against AJ Styles. Yeah, maybe if we're lucky, yeah. And then you have the Knockouts world champion. That's Li Ying Li, who, you know, I'm a fan of. I know you're a fan of. We got to meet her backstage before. Awesome. She's clearly put in the work, man. You ever see her workout videos? Like, she's small, but she's mighty, man. Center of gravity is crazy. And so I kind of, maybe I made a reach here. I don't know. But, you know, there's this working relationship between NXT, TNA, And I'm sure at some point, even though AJ Styles said he didn't think it was going to happen, there's going to be a WWE component in there.

1:27:17But I feel this time next year, December 2026, this might be a reach. I don't know. Never mind. But the TNA Knockouts World Champion. Hi, Miss Parker. I feel Jada Parker is going to be the Knockouts World Champion. Put a stamp on it. What do you think about that? O'Shea Jackson. Yeah. That's it.

1:27:44O'Shea:That was it. I mean, enough said. But, like, you know, we've been a supporter of Jada from the jump. And, yeah, we missed. We missed. Right, yeah. It's time to really give it a ball. Give it a ball and see what we all know we saw. And let it get down. Let her work on this character. and we need more Miss Parker on our television. That's all we're asking. WW? That's all we're asking. And lastly, we got that X Division champion. Just a great lineage of title holders in that. You got the high-flying Leon. Leon Slater, he's a champion. Now, I've got something else predicted for him this year. You're gonna have to check out the social media and the YouTube to find this out, but I think you guys will like where I see Leon.

1:28:34But this time next year, I feel like the X Division will be led by a man who criminally underrated, in my opinion, Mustafa Ali. I feel like he'll get that belt back, and I feel like for some reason this time next year, heading into 2027, Mustafa Ali will be the king of the X Division once again. And that's just kind of my thoughts where I see these, you know, the world champions and, you know, those championships, they're held in such high regard. that's that's where i see them this time next year and obviously you guys let us know man what what do you think who do you think is will be the champions 12 months from now now hold on

1:29:16O'Shea:tj because i know it's been a minute because we had we had the holiday you know break and things like that so we haven't really seen each other in a while and while we've been gone i've been thinking too i would hope so i'll be thinking sometime yeah and but you'll be thinking about wrestling though that's the question yeah you'll be thinking some wild stuff about some wild stuff but saturday night's main event the way that john and and everybody involved showcased it as you know for for the superstars of the future and it made me think of some dream matches that i wish i wish i could see just one give me let me just get one night only you know type situation And so I talked to Don, and I might have a list for everybody.

1:30:02O'Shea:Oh, I'd love to hear it. I might have a list for everybody. So these are your dream matches? Dream matches. Just matches that I sat back on my holiday break, probably with some agriculture, and just thought about, like, man, it would be really cool if I could see this. Just one good time. I'm with that. You know? So let's start off with the ladies, as I love to do. Ladies first. so at number five I am going to be bringing in triple threat match triple threat match and I started to think if I have me a PLE and I'm starting it off with the ladies it's gotta be a banger it's gotta be a banger so in the first triple threat match we will be having and by the way anyone I mention this is their all time this is them at their peak At their peak.

1:30:53O'Shea:Like, oh, nine, Randy Orton. Yeah, like, at their peak. So, I'm going to be going. Is this number five or is this number five? Okay. Number five. We'll be starting off the night with Charlotte Flair. Woo! Versus Sol Ruka. Woo! Okay. And this is going to be a pull. This is going to be a Googler for those who don't know. But, Monami Toyota. Oh. Now, if you want to look up. Okay. Like a lady who just had the height, the length, she could do everything and do it fast, do like slow and methodical. She's going to go for it. And if you had a match where when Charlotte was in that mode of we got a breakthrough for the ladies, like when the four horsewomen were on there, we have to break the glass ceiling mode, they were doing stuff where you're like, I don't think you need to do that.

1:31:49O'Shea:And that risk factor, you mix that in with Soruka, it might get crazy in there. And so if anybody hasn't seen Miss Toyota, please check out some of her highlights. This is a banger of a match to start off with, and it could be a main event in a lot of places. Now, number four. Oh, I got to remember what order I put these in. Oh, yeah, number four. Number four, this is just strictly because of the amount of star power, but it's a fatal four-way. Okay. Anybody who knows me knows when I play WWE 2K, most of the matches that I just sit and watch are either triple threats or Fatal 4 ways because it gets crazy.

1:32:28O'Shea:But I call it the Star Spangled Fatal 4. Okay. All right. I want. Is this an American theme? Yeah. Okay. Give me Kurt Angle, John Cena, Cody Rhodes, and, of course, Hulk Hogan. Oh. It's too much star power to know who's going to win. It's so much America that your ears might bleed red, white, and blue. Put the glizzies on the grill. Get the pool party going. It's the Star Spangled Fatal 4-Way. It's just chaos. There's no way it should work. There's no way someone should be okay with a loss. So Chris Jericho's probably going to win. I don't know. He's Canadian. So Star Spangled Fatal 4-Way. It would just be fun to see.

1:33:13O'Shea:Could be a main event, but it's not on my card. I will say this. I'll give you props for taking personal opinions out of this and putting them to the side and just as O'Shea the Booker putting out the best quality matches. And that says a lot about you. Thank you. Hogan's not going over. Number three. Sorry, brother. That's brother with an A. Not an ER and ER. Because why would we do that? Yeah. Not an ER. Number three, please. Wait, we're in order. Oh, yeah. Hell in a Cell. Number three. I think the best way to handle this is to just have something that people know that they're coming to see.

1:33:56O'Shea:You're here to see some chaos. And when I look at Jon Moxley, I see the rugged character that he has developed. Also, my WWE side sees him still using the shield entrance, and it makes me feel sad. But shout out to Jon Moxley. I would love to see him and Cactus Jack go in it. And of all places, it's got to be Hell in a Cell. I like that. The blood, the chaos. And, I mean, it's got to be a bucket list match to the back of his head. They have a little bit of a history. If you recall, years ago before the Shield was formed and Dean Ambrose came up, he and Mick Foley had a little thing that was filmed that looked like they were cutting a promo on each other.

1:34:41Was there going to be a fight? Were they going to have a match? nothing ever came to fruition so i i see i see where you're at flannel with john i could i think

1:34:50O'Shea:about that that match that cactus had against edge or or against hunter you know and just the look on their faces when they found out that they're not going against mick foley yeah they're going against cactus jack yeah that right there with john it's everything that you put put ponchos in the front row. That's all I'm saying. Now, number two, I really wanted to get into some technical aspects while also keeping up the high energy. And when I'm looking at the work that Ilya's done lately, I would love to see a triple threat of the late, great Eddie Guerrero, Ilya Droganov, and Seth frickin' Rollins.

1:35:33O'Shea:Wow. It's going to give you the technical aspects the high flying aspects and all three of them have that energy that like once they snap they're going they're just just to see ilia and eddie going at it for a good eight minutes of the match alone is getting my money when you add in a a star power factor that Seth freaking Rollins brings to every single match. It's just like he's the icing on the cake with that. I would love to see that triple threat. And then. I pay money for that. And then this next one, I'm for sure paying money for. My number one. Your number. This is your all time dream. Is this your all or just as of today?

1:36:20O'Shea:As of today. As of today. Because my dream, dream match. The reason why it's an honorable mention and we'll get to it very last. Is because it can still happen. Ah, that makes sense. These are matches that can't happen anymore. Like, they're past either somebody involved is passing. Yeah. But un-propped, not un-propped. Yeah, yeah. But, like, so they're either, you know, long gone or whatever. But my honorable mention can still happen. So that's why it's an honorable mention. It's not on the list. But my number one, I would love to see Darby Allin versus Shane O'Mac. What? In a street fight. Dude.

1:37:02O'Shea:That is your ultimate dream. Dude. That would be. It's such a, like, throw the remote. Everybody set your phones to silent. Get some beers and just watch. I need to be front row. You know what? I might even have to watch this one at home because when they start to leave the ring, you can't really. Yeah, y 'all need to be able to see everything. So you want Shane O'Mac around the time Kurt Angle or the Kane? WrestleMania 17 Shane McCurr. Like that era of him and just like, just knowing what we know now, it's trying to prove himself to his father. Yeah, right. That edge that he put on himself and then Darby's edge that he naturally lives with of like, let's let them leave with.

1:37:49O'Shea:Yeah, like it's going to get insane. You're going to see some stuff and they're both going to be down to do it. So Shane O'Mac versus Darby Allen in a street fight. My God. Wow. Yep. But honorable mention, because it can still happen, and this is my PSA to get it to happen. I have to see the final boss versus the tribal chief. Now, The Rock has gone off to be Oscar-nominated Rock now. He a little thinner. people are starting to whisper that this match might not ever happen but that's exactly what they want you to believe all right they want us to be lulled to sleep so they could just smack us in the face and that way when we are watching at home and we see ronman reigns on our screens when we least expect it if and then it's over and then now i'm tearing up my living room the fire department's coming.

1:38:50O'Shea:I'm getting sent to jail and it's all because The Rock versus Roman Reigns would be happening. The chance is still there. It's still my number one dream match. But for this list it has to be honorable mention because of the possibility of it still happening. Okay. You know. Also, just another just a quick shout out. I would love to see Montez Ford, Kevin Knight, Leon Slater, and Javon Evans in a match. Oh, man. Yeah. TLC. I'm down with that. A little singles TLC match. I'm definitely down with that. A little money in the bank. Why not? Why not? I like that. Well, I think you're going to, online once this goes out, you're going to get some pushback about that number one a little bit.

1:39:31You got to remember, that's not your list. That's his dream. That's what he wants to see.

1:39:36O'Shea:Right. And that's another thing. Like, you guys can get in the comments, you know, get in the comments and write your list. And then I want you to go and you can go to a printer, print out your list, all right? Then I want you to shine it up real nice. Turn that sumbitch sideways and stick straight up your candy ass because it's your list. Do what you want with it. My list just happens to be on your screen right now. It's all love until it ain't. All right. So that's it. That's your five of your all-time dream matches. That's my dreams today. Today. But I'm a big dreamer. I'm hesitant to say those are your all-time dream matches.

1:40:17No, no, no. There's no Austin. There's no, you know. But for right now, as of today, December 29th, I like that. Because you know what? You gave some stuff there that isn't always people that aren't always matched up with one another. And it's easy to sit here and go, oh, my dream match is Seth Rollins against Bret Hart. Well, guess what? That's eight. That's three million other people. Yeah, definitely would have loved to see Seth and Sean. Yeah, for sure. But I like that. I like that. That's something we do. kind of think outside the box. They're so cool. I like that. Thank you, man.

1:40:48O'Shea:Thank you. I'd be interested in seeing all those matches. Yeah, it'd be like, why not? Hell yeah. Alright. Guys. Well, I think we've come to that part of the show. This is fun.
