0:33Hey, everybody, I'm Dave Rubin, and this is First Look. It's Thursday, July 16th, 2026. We've got a packed show for you today. Biden's book launch is already a total disaster as critics roast the auto pen president and question who actually wrote it while he claims his cancer treatment is going well. A discharged Marine running for Congress in Florida drops a deranged video calling President Trump the Antichrist who must be killed. The Canadian woman who slapped a Jersey Shore team for wearing MAGA clothes gets arrested by ICE and thrown into Delaney Hall Detention Center. Let's dive in. Former President Joe Biden's big book announcement this week has already blown up in his face with conservatives across the board piling on and reviving all the old questions about his mental fitness his age, and that infamous auto pen he used to sign away pardons and executive orders while he was supposedly in charge.

1:35Biden dropped a video on X Wednesday announcing his memoir titled Promise Me America. The book is supposed to chronicle his presidency and lay out the deeply agonizing calculation behind his decision to drop out of the 2024 race. It's set to hit shelves on November 17th, conveniently about two weeks after the midterms, so Democrats can try to keep the spotlight off how bad things were under Biden. In the video, Biden says he's been getting treatment for his cancer diagnosis and that it's been going really well. He claims the book is about the challenges facing the nation, the decisions he made and why he made them, including rebuilding building our economy and restoring our democracy after the attack on January 6th, ending our nation's longest war in Afghanistan, strengthening NATO and supporting Ukraine.

2:29But nobody's buying the spin. Social media lit up with mockery almost immediately. Spencer Pratt, the former reality TV star who ran for mayor in LA, put it bluntly, this guy couldn't even sign his own name, he's not writing books. He added that politicians write books to launder money and that corrupt NGOs Biden funded will just buy up copies and burn them to fulfill their side of the bribes. Steve Guest called out the first lie right away, the first lie of Joe Biden's book launch, I've written a book. Nathan Brand from the Brand Brief said, it's still insane that so many people lied about this man's health just to hold onto power, especially imagining him halfway through a second term.

3:16Clay Travis from Outkick didn't hold back either. Joe Biden couldn't sign his own pardons. Now he's written a book, which Democrats forced him to release after the midterms so he wouldn't be in the news to remind people how bad he was. Who in the world is buying this book? Brent Schur from the Daily Wire asked the obvious question. Who do we think wrote this book? Missouri Republican Representative Jason Smith wondered, did the auto pen write this too? And Florida congressional candidate Mark Kay summed it up with two words, auto pen. The timing is especially rich because President Trump replaced Biden's portrait in the presidential walk of fame with an actual photo of the auto pen device Biden used to sign important documents, including thousands of pardons.

4:07Trump has rightly pointed out that Biden probably didn't even know what he was signing, and many of those pardons may be legally void. Republicans have been hammering this for years. Biden's mental decline was obvious, but the media and Democrats covered it up until it was too late. Now the guy who could barely walk upstairs or string a sentence together is supposedly dropping a deep, introspective memoir. The whole thing reeks of a cash grab and damage control, and conservatives are having a field day calling it out. A former Marine running for Congress in Florida's 5th District has gone completely off the rails with a nearly 7-minute video calling President Trump the Antichrist who must be killed.

4:54William Upham, who was medically discharged from the Marine Corps last May, posted the disturbing rant while wearing his uniform. He claimed he's reached a turning point in his campaign because the country is broken and led by an enemy of God. According to Upham, Trump will never bring us together the way God intended. He laid it out plainly. There is no doubt in my mind that the President of the United States, Donald J. Trump, is the Antichrist. He is a false messiah and he is your enemy and he must be killed. Upham said this realization came after Trump criticized Pope Leo XIV and posted an AI image of himself looking Christ-like.

5:38He added, he is nothing like Jesus Christ. President Trump is the Antichrist and he will be killed and sent to hell. God will prevail against evil. Then, in a weird pivot, Upham suddenly said, violence should never be used for evil purposes, such as vengeance or plunder, before adding that we must defend ourselves against all enemies, including enemies here at home. The video was so unhinged that the Marine Corps immediately disavowed him Tuesday night. They said they're aware of the disturbing statements from William Upham, who was medically discharged on May 30th, 2025, and that his comments directly violate the oath he swore and don't reflect the service's values.

6:28Acting Navy's secretary Hung Cao also slammed it, calling it unacceptable and noting that Upham is no longer a Marine and doesn't represent the values or ethos of the service. This comes after the assassination of Charlie Kirk last September and three separate attempts on President Trump's life in the last two years. Threats like this against the president and conservative leaders are not normal, and the left's rhetoric has clearly created a dangerous environment. Upham tried to walk it back a little at the end, but the damage was already done. Calling the sitting president the Antichrist who must be killed is not protected speech in any serious way.

7:13It's a direct incitement to violence, and the Marine Corps was right to shut it down fast. There's a delicious bit of irony playing out at the Jersey Shore. The Canadian woman who slapped a teenager for wearing MAGA clothes over 4th of July weekend has now been arrested by ICE and hauled off to the very Delaney Hall Immigration Detention Center in Newark that her left-wing husband has been loudly protesting against on social media. Caitlin E. Tracy, 33, was taken into custody on Monday after she filmed herself confronting two girls wearing patriotic colored sweatpants at Point Pleasant. She ended up striking one of them across the face and body.

7:57She's been charged with endangering the welfare of a child, simple assault, harassment, and obstruction. Tracy and her husband, Matthew Gironi, 42, have been living in Asbury Park since she entered the U.S. with a Canadian passport back in 2024. Gironi went on TikTok Tuesday and revealed she'd been taken to Delaney Hall. He said he recorded the video with the goal of getting her released from ICE custody, even if that means sending her back to Canada. This isn't Gironi's first rodeo with Delaney Hall. Back in June, he posted a TikTok video pretending to show both sides of the protests there. He sat under text that read, peaceful protesters literally standing in their designated First Amendment zone while looking confused and scratching his head.

8:47Then it cut to him standing up, aiming what looked like a gun and mimicking rapid fire shooting next to texts that said state police and at Delaney Hall in Newark, New Jersey. Now his wife is actually inside the facility he's been mocking and protesting. The couple clearly thought they could come here, enjoy the benefits, and then attack American kids for wearing MAGA clothes without any consequences. Instead, ICE did its job, and she's sitting in the exact place her husband has been railing against. This is the kind of border enforcement and rule of law we've been missing for years. You can't just waltz in from Canada, slap American teenagers for loving their country, and expect to get away with it.
