In short

The episode argues that recent “AI will end humanity” claims are exaggerated and politically motivated, and that calls for government regulation are a form of regulatory capture that would slow innovation and hand leadership to China.

Guest backgrounds

David Sachs (former AI/crypto executive; VC; co-host of All-In). Ben Shapiro appears via CNN clip. Alex Karp (Palantir CEO) and Elon Musk, Jensen Huang, and J.D. Vance are referenced through clips. Sam Altman is quoted from a statement.

Key claims

Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei warning of catastrophic risk while preparing an IPO is “weird” and possibly legally/ethically inconsistent. Doomsday messaging is said to be used to justify centralized control and crush competitors. China is portrayed as racing ahead regardless of Western regulation. The episode favors “peer review” among leading labs and points to past AI predictions (e.g., radiology/job loss) that allegedly failed.

Notable examples

Anthropic employee’s viral post; Anthropic IPO timing; Sam Altman’s “federal framework” openness; Kamala Harris/Obama/Bernie Sanders push for slowing/pacing; Elon Musk’s peer-review idea; Jensen Huang’s “fear-mongering is made up” examples; Red Dawn discussion.

We haven't ruled anything in and we haven't ruled anything out in terms of impeachment. He is not a real person. That is a robot. Some kind of joint governance. The government's really just amazing at figuring out technology. The government's still using dot matrix printers. Remember those?

1:48All right, how you doing people? It is September 15th, 2026. Is it September 15th? You went a little fast for me. I only know the date by what I see here. Otherwise, I have freaking no idea what's going on. People text me things during the day to tell me where to be and when to be there, and that's it. Yes, it is September 15th, 2026. I'm Dave Rubin. This is The Rubin Report. I'm actually very, very excited for today's show. You guys know I love doing what I do. I think we do a fun hour here with some information and maybe a different look on what's going on in the world and the culture wars and the political madness and all that stuff.

2:23But I have to say, and I've kind of hinted at this over the last two weeks, but since I've been back from off the grid, you know, August, there wasn't much. I didn't feel like I missed too much. And in the two weeks that I've been back, I've just sort of felt, outside of the Lindsay Clancy thing, which was very, very weird, a certain set of people that support a woman who murdered her three kids, I felt like everything was kind of just feeling the same. It was a little repetitive and whatever. And not to dismiss any of that. It's still important to talk about. it's still important to expose the socialists and the Islamists and all that stuff.

2:57It's still important to fight for the right ideas. I've just been feeling, I've said this to Phoenix a couple times, I was like, I wanna find a new angle on something. What else is really going on here? And I'm telling you guys, this AI story, it's not that it's just what I've been looking for. For some reason, I think this is the big one. Like, there is something going on with this story and the dividing line on who is for regulation, who's for government control, and who's for innovation and freedom and capitalism and allowing markets to work and human ingenuity. That is so obvious to me. There's such an op around it, the sudden, oh my God, the world's going to end tomorrow, from the same people who told us climate change was going to end the world, from the same people who told us COVID was going to kill us all.

3:42There's something so interesting happening here, and it's so rich with all of the lessons. That's what it is. It's all of the lessons that I hope most of us have learned over the last, let's say, 15 years of being lied to about very fine people, and you got to bow to BLM. And now there's an op right in our face. And I think perhaps enough of us are prepared to push back on it because something very weird is in the ether right now. So as you can see, I'm excited about the story. We're going to dive really, really deep on it. And it's also, Also, by the way, for those of you that maybe aren't so huge in the tech world and you don't really care about whether you got Grok or ChatGPT on your phone, I mean, this stuff is still going to matter to you one way or another, right, with electric cars and robots and everything else.

4:27But it's just going to be ubiquitous everywhere. So you may not care about it right now, but it's going to care about you and your future. So all right, so we're going to talk a bit about that and some other political stuff. But first, on our Rubin Report newsletter, which really has been blowing up lately, we put polls up. And I thought this was rather interesting, showing that my audience, God bless you, you're a bunch of dreamers. We wrote, what would the result, what will the result of the 2026 midterm elections in November be? And 56 % of you think that a red wave is coming with Republicans holding the Senate and the House.

5:0423 % say Republicans hold the Senate, but Democrats take the House. Personally, that seems like the most likely to me, although that's kind of scary. And blue wave resulting in Democrats taking over Senate and House is 18%. So look, I've said it a million times and then we'll move on. I am not as fearful as everybody else that this thing's gonna be a bloodbath. I don't think America's ready for the communist revolution. Yes, the socialists have won primaries, but I don't know that that's gonna translate into general elections, but it's about turnout. It's about fighting the apathy that many of us feel or that a lot of people feel right now.

5:41But I just thought it was interesting that the audience that watches this show, that responds to these things, they're still feeling, boy, we got a chance to keep the wheels on America and capitalism and all that good stuff. So, okay, let's dive in. You know the big story. It started last week when a low-level employee at Anthropic, young kid, at a basic, not quite entry-level job, but he had been there for two months. early 20s. He puts a giant post on Twitter that goes bananas. It gets retweeted by tons of people in the industry. He ends up in the Wall Street Journal. He's on CNN that night.

6:16He's telling us that AI, the very thing he's working on, is going to kill us all. And now this thing bursts forth everywhere. Magically, that same day, Bernie's like, I've got a piece of legislation, which we we now know was written in Britain actually. He's got legislation to regulate it. You've got all of these people saying the world is gonna come to an end. Something is just weird. So let's do a deep dive. And as I said yesterday, one of the things that I like about this story is the lines are becoming very, very clear. And so many of the people who I've come to respect over the years are getting this one right.

6:53And it's the usual people, the Bernie Sanders and the Barack Obamas and the Zorhan Mamdamis and the rest of them that are just on the other side of this thing. And if you just need a simple heuristic to figure out what's right or wrong, well, if the Democrats are all in on something, it's probably the wrong thing. Anyway, David Sachs, former AI and crypto czar, he's been on the show many times, but also co-host of the All In podcast and really legendary VC guy. He's just respected, I think, across the board in the VC world. He went on CBS last night and they were asking him about Anthropic and Dario, the CEO who is now saying, I'm building this thing, I can't control it, it's gonna kill us all, oh, and we're going to IPO next month, then can I have your money?

7:36Saks opined on that. So Dario Amadei, you think is incorrect in predicting the worst outcomes here? Well, I think if Dario believes that we're gonna have the worst outcomes, my question for him is why are you doing this? It doesn't make sense to me that you're running a frontier AI company if you think frontier AI is going to end humanity. So again, I would push that back on him and say, how are you going to make this safe? And if you don't think you can, you should probably either shut down the company or step aside and let someone else lead it. Okay, so I think that's a great way to start off the show because again, what you have right now is Dario, who is the head of Anthropic, who's been running this for a while and I'll give the devil his due, I'll give credit where it deserves.

8:28Many people have been warning about, oh, AI could get a little out of control, we don't know exactly what we're building, again, watch any sci-fi movie. But Sachs is completely right. If you're the CEO of this thing, you haven't really said too much about it, then a low-level kid puts up a post, it goes viral, next thing you know you're doing media all over the place saying, my God, we're losing control of this thing, it could kill everybody, we're going to IPO next month, which I'm pretty sure there's definitely some laws around talking about your product as you're going. Has anyone ever been like, I'm bringing my company public, we're gonna raise billions of dollars, and also it might kill everybody.

9:03Something seems legally a little confusing there, but I'm not a lawyer. So, Saks is completely right. If you believe that, well then first off, instead of getting on TV and being like, government, please govern me harder, please, please fix me, fix me. what have you done to stop this scary frontier that you're warning about? And if you don't think you can do anything, then as Sachs points out, you're probably not the right guy for the job. So instead of asking the government to come in and regulate you as if the government, or again, just think about it, that government regulators are gonna wander into Anthropic.

9:41You're telling me the government has a whole bunch of people who will understand AI, understand the algorithms, understand these deep level systems and everything else. And they're going to wander into Anthropic and be like, all right, well, we can see these things that you're doing here and we're going to fix them. It's profoundly absurd. So he may as well resign. So either close down the company or resign. But he's not doing either one of those. He's saying government regulate me or, and we're going to IPO. Something is very weird. Sachs continued here on what he thinks AI can do for us in the future.

10:14When you think about your cousin, your aunt at home who's seeing all of this play out, you advise the President of the United States on AI. What would you say to them? Because people feel freaked out. They're worried. I get it. What would you say? I would say that I think the future is going to be great. I think that AI is going to lead to cures we've never seen before. I would point out that a lot of the dire predictions that have already been made have not come true. Right. They already, dire predictions. I think in this case, he's talking about dire predictions around AI that we were already going to lose control of it, that Skynet was going to turn on and the planes would be falling out of the sky and all those other things.

10:56But you could also say the dire warnings of people who've warned us about COVID and warned us about climate change and everything else, they've been wrong about that. There's a certain set of people who are just doomsdayers. Someone creates something and they want to poo-poo all over it. But his original point there, the things that AI is doing right now, we are working on cures for Alzheimer's, for cancer. We are going to send robots to other planets. And then the robots on other planets will build other robots who will build factories, which will ultimately build ships. And then we will use those planets as basically space stations to build, to shoot rockets and send robots to other planets.

11:37It's like we can't even begin to think of the things that are on the horizon. You might think of this, this is a very simplistic way of looking at it, but this might work. You might think of this as someone in around 1850 trying to really understand what the phone and the television and the internet might do. They would not be able to, their heads would explode if they just woke up in 2026. And that's what the world could be like literally in 10 years from now for us because the rate of acceleration and the change is happening so quickly. There's something so amazing happening here. So all of the people that wanna suddenly regulate it, perhaps, as my friend Ben Shapiro is about to point out on CNN, perhaps it has a bit more to do with the fact that you guys don't want other competition.

12:26And so you want this, that you're really advanced on it, you're leading on it, you're on the frontier of it. Oh, get the regulators to come in and all of the guys that are on their way up that are our competition. They'll be regulated into high hell and they'll never catch up to us. Oh, and plus China. Here's fast talking Ben Shapiro. So Ben, is the argument here that AI is not as powerful as they make it seem and that therefore cannot do all the bad things, cause a jobs apocalypse, cause the end of the human race, or is it that China's gonna do it anyway, so we might as well just do what they do?

13:01Well, I think it's a little bit of both. I think one argument is that the risks are being exaggerated by people who have a very strong interest in regulatory capture, who want to write the regulations themselves. Most of the people who are pushing the apocalyptic talk very hard are people who are heads of closed models. They're very afraid of open models that theoretically could challenge them. And also, they have liability in court that open models don't. So looking for regulation for a sort of regulatory harbor that allows them to develop without the possibility of products liability is a good idea for them.

13:30So I think that's one argument. The other argument is the argument that Alex Karp over a Palantir has made, which I think is exactly right, which is China has no concern about any of this. China is just going to race forward. And China, if they outstrip us, is simply going to beat us. He really is. He's too smart to be on that show. And just the way she even framed the question was so dim. OK, so first, we'll do the latter part first. The China part is obvious. Let's say you believe that AI is going to kill us all and you believe that Bernie Sanders legislation can fix it and all of those things, and you're afraid your vacuum cleaner is gonna sexually molest your dog.

14:07Okay, fine. China's gonna go ahead and do it anyway. So you could regulate us into high hell and all that is going to happen is that China will have all of the advancements that we are not going to have and then we will become beholden to them. So that's an easy one that you just really need to know and it has to just like, it needs to be stuck in your bonnet. Okay, that's one. And then Ben's point about the regulatory capture. These companies that are already highly advanced with their closed systems, now there's all these other companies coming up. They don't want competition. So you bring in regulations, right?

14:40You have the government create regulations. That's gonna stop the small guy because you suddenly, Anthropic, will be writing the regulations that will then stop the little guy from getting involved at all. So there's just so many things happening here at once. Now again, one of the reasons I love this story is because so many of the people who I've come to respect, who I play videos of on the show all the time, are getting it right. And virtually everyone that I kind of despise, that I think is a backwards, buffoonish, apish moron is getting it wrong. Palantir CEO, Alex Karp, we play videos of him all the time.

15:14Here he is explaining the very simplistic China situation that we now have on our hands. If we didn't have the adversaries we'd have, I would be very in favor of pausing this technology completely. But we do. And that's why pausing is just... You can't pause it because it's a structural advantage both for LLMs and algorithms. So, getting algorithms and LLMs to work in a classified context is going to take very specialized... very spot. I could explain how it works, but getting, the fact is, this is going to be a bonanza for the U.S. economy. How concerned are you about China right now? Everyone's very concerned.

15:55I think we were in a conversation this morning where I referenced, you know, when we started first talking about China and America, and I was saying that this was not going to end well. That was a controversial statement. Now it's consensus. What I like about that guy is he's clearly brilliant, and he just has a very simple way of explaining things. It's as simple as that, guys. What does he say? If we didn't have competition outside of America on this, sure, maybe there's something we could do related to regulation or a forum where the companies come together and talk about these things. But that's all irrelevant in the world that we live in.

16:32Because as I said, if we regulate, we slow down, we create hurdles as if we could even do it, as if it would even work or anything else. China will move ahead. Do you want China to have the cure to cancer? Do you want China to be exploring space before us? To be building, I just read this morning, we can fact check me on this, that they just built a new factory where they're building human-eyed robots now every 10 seconds. Like, do you want them to have the robot army first and everything else? So we live in a world right now. We don't just, he's saying, if we lived in this perfect closed system, perhaps there's a way we could, yeah, kind of right.

17:09but we don't live in a perfect closed system. We live in reality, at least most of us. At the All In Summit, you know, the All In podcast and Saksa we just played and Chamath and the rest of the guys, they do a yearly summit. They had Elon Musk, he, well, I was gonna say Skyped, but Skype doesn't exist anymore. You see how technology, it just exists and then it doesn't exist and Skype never killed anybody. He zoomed in, I guess, and here he is pointing out the irony of the very people who have been building this now telling us it's going to... Hey, it's Kelly Rowland. You may not know this, but I have eczema.

17:44So I get how it can steal your time. But why let eczema take over when you can talk to your doctor about EBCLIS? EBCLIS, Lubrikizumab LBKZ, a 250 milligram per two milliliter injection is a prescription medicine used to treat adults and children 12 years of age and older who weigh at least 88 pounds or 40 kilograms with moderate to severe eczema. Also called atopic dermatitis that is not well controlled with prescription therapy used on the skin or topicals or who cannot use topical therapies. EBCLIS can be used with or without topical corticosteroids. Don't use if you are allergic to EBCLIS. Allergic reactions can occur that can be severe.

18:18Eye problems can occur. Tell your doctor if you have new or worsening eye problems. You should not receive a live vaccine when treated with EBCLIS. Before starting EBCLIS, tell your doctor if you have a parasitic infection. Paid partnership with Lilly. Respect your time. Ask your doctor about EBCLIS and visit ebclus.com or call 1-800-LILY-RX or 1-800-545-5979. Kill us and also telling us to get, you know, be part of their IPO next month. I probably should have said that Dario is right. I did try to clarify it in subsequent posts on X, but those get much less attention. You know, when a lot of people from Anthropic and from OpenAI are telling you that their models are very dangerous, I think we should believe them.

19:05It certainly is like some crazy 4D chess to say there's one of a 10 % chance of annihilating humanity. But by the way, how much allocation would you like in our IPO? Yes. Yeah. Something is very weird here. Again, think about this Dario guy. He's running the company. Doesn't say much about any of this. The young employee suddenly says something, it goes bananas viral, the kid gets on Wall Street Journal, CNN, okay, blah, blah. Next thing you know, he's everywhere saying, I'm building a product that might kill everybody, but he's still going to IPO. He's still going public. He still wants your money.

19:51You know, I referenced before, and Joseph just gave me a note here, that there's something weird also that when you're going to IPO, generally people like the board of companies, presidents, and all the people that have insider knowledge, They usually go quiet for a while. There's reasons the SEC doesn't want you talking because they don't want pump and dumps. They don't want basically you to be sort of glazing the stock when promising things that aren't there. So I just got this note. For a company preparing to go public, meaning to go to IPO, SEC security laws restrict communications that could be viewed as promoting or conditioning the market for the stock outside the formal registration prospectus process.

20:27I mean, if telling the world, our product's going to kill you is in a little bit of some kind of violation. We're going to kill you, please buy us. So there's just, I'm telling you, there's something so rich about this story. Here's a bit more from Elon, because okay, here we are with the entire machine, the Obamas, everybody, Bernie, all the Democrats, they want to regulate, and they want Trump to fall for it, right? So what would be a solution to all of this? Well, who comes up with solutions? It's the same guy who's been innovating and allowing for free speech. And every time I get in my car, I don't drive anymore.

21:05I literally just press a button. Yes, it's Elon Musk at the all-in summit. And here's one of his solutions on what you could do right now. So that you would have everyone's security tests on us, testing everyone as well. So instead of just kind of grading your own homework, you would at least have competitors grading your homework. and raising the alarm if they see concerns. And I think this model has worked pretty well for Motion Picture Association and for video games and other things. But the thing that we do most immediately and probably get agreement with China would be peer review, where the leading AI companies all test each other's models before release.

21:52All right, so that's kind of interesting. Now, can you get China on board peer review where Chinese companies are going to be honest with us and actually test their, you know, test their AI products against ours? Who knows? But he's basically saying all of these big time companies with their closed models right now, could we get them on board something that he describes? Like we used to have, do they even rate them anymore? We used to have R-rated movies and PG movies. And I think, so you can fact check me on this. I think the first PG-13 movie ever was Gremlins, if I'm not mistaken, someone check me on that, that you could maybe create some sort of apparatus that they have to hit some metrics with.

22:34I don't know if that could work, and do you have to get the government involved on that? And would they be honest, and why wouldn't you have? I mean, the other problem with all of this, it seems to me, is that you are gonna have kids now operating little server farms that are gonna innovate faster than all the big boys. Was I right on that? I was not right on that. Dave Rubin, wrong on the Rubin Report. And could he, what was it? Red Dawn. Red Dawn. Red Dawn was, was that Schwarzenegger? Red Dawn, I don't remember that one. We'll get more on that in just a minute. Let's talk about Kalshi and then we're gonna figure out what Red Dawn was and AI and I don't know, I just think everything's gonna be okay.

23:09Guys, speaking of AI and tech, which states will RoboTaxi, created by Elon Musk, be offered to this year? Well, here's what the Kalshi markets are showing. And as you know, Kalshi's like buying or selling a stock except the line isn't set by an algorithm working against you. It moves based on where the money actually goes. So if you put$100 on, yes, Nevada, you can earn$111 if correct. Download the CallShe app and use code RubenReport to get$25 when you trade$25. CallShe, put your money where your prediction is. Did we get any info on Red Dawn? We have an image of Red Dawn. Maybe we got something coming.

23:46We need just a minute on that. Okay, let's move. Yeah, we got it. We got Well, you know Red Dawn. It's the Russians Invading. Yeah. The Red Dawn. I didn't see it. You've never seen that? No, who's in it? I have no record. Patrick Swayze, Charlie Sheen. Wow, that sounds like a late 80s. Yeah. The first movie released in theaters with a PG-13 rating was Red Dawn, which were premiered on August 10th, 1984. And they created it following parental backlash over the intense violence and dark content. They needed something between, in between, oh, so Gremlins. Okay, so Gremlins was right there. The dark content in 1984 rated PG with hits like Indiana Jones and Temple of Doom and Gremlins.

24:29So yes, there were a couple movies right around there that they were like, okay, this isn't R, like you gotta be over 17, but it's also not really for a 10 year old, what can we do in between? And there's the poster for Red Dawn. Man, we are doing a show like no other today. All right, let's continue on all of this because obviously there's an interesting political part of it because as the Democrats all want legislation around this, you might say to yourself, how does that make sense? Because Donald Trump is the evil leader of the world. And why would you wanna give him more power over the tech companies are gonna kill us and Donald Trump's a Nazi and a fascist.

25:05Let's give him more power over everything. So none of it really makes any sense. Here is J.D. Vance pointing out that the companies who are warning us about the destruction they are about to bring on us, and then asking to be regulated is a bit odd. I have to say just personally, I feel a little bit weird about the fact that you have so many frontier AI tech companies kind of coming to the government and begging the government to regulate them. It feels a little bit to me like a bit of a Trojan horse. So I think we just have to be careful about this. Yeah, I think he's right about that. He's talking about the exact same Trojan horse that Ben called regulatory capture, that you have these big companies marching towards what they're saying is evil while they're going public and also saying, regulate me hard, government.

25:53And is it really to regulate them as if they couldn't do it themselves, which was Sack's original point about Dario at the top of the show, or is it really because they wanna make sure the competition behind them will suffer under regulations that they themselves didn't have? So they would have gotten all the advantages and then you know what this is, this is pulling the ladder up behind you. And then good luck, guys, we didn't have any regulations while we were building all these crazy things that are gonna kill everybody. And you do, hot damn, we're still number one. Now, to illustrate that point perfectly, Sam Altman, who is the CEO of OpenAI, suddenly he also is switching his tune on all of this.

26:32So listen to this. The world deserves confidence that American companies developing increasingly capable AI will act responsibly, especially as the trajectory of progress has steepened. Every frontier lab must deliver on this, and there is no reason any of us should come to work if we cannot. We welcome a federal framework that sets consistent safety requirements for frontier AI. But we do not believe we need to wait for an antitrust exemption or legislation to begin the work of providing this confidence. Consistent rules to manage frontier risks so that we can maximize the benefits are a good idea, and we are excited by ideas like independent auditors.

27:11Years ago, companies like ours developed things like responsible scaling policies and preparedness frameworks. Those were good for that moment and focused primarily on the deployment of completed models, not what happens during their development process. Today's shift to focusing on safe development and evaluation will need new tools. For example, at OpenAI, we now formulate explicit safety cases in advance of frontier reinforcement learning runs. we expect to significantly increase capability in addition to the safety work we have long done in advance of model releases. We hope that other companies will learn from our approaches and propose their own.

27:48We think shared standards for misalignment, monitoring, and safety will lead to better outcomes. We look forward to collaborating with our colleagues across the industry to formulate the best version of these. When we talk about pacing, we do not mean stopping. Progress has been rapid and will continue to be, but it shouldn't be slower than it otherwise could be. Inventions like safety cases, interventions like safety cases and monitoring have significant costs. Pacing will be well worth this cost. No amount of American competitive pressure should justify recklessness or let capabilities get ahead of alignment and monitoring.

28:22Where we will need the help of the government is for international coordination, but first we should do what we can ourselves. Okay, so first off, in the cast of characters of the sitcom, I don't trust Sam Altman at all. Obviously, I'm much more in line with the Elons and the David Sachs and the Alex Karp types. What's interesting here is he writes that opus where he basically is like, yeah, we've been doing all these things and we've been going ahead and acting responsibly and we have our internal systems and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. But suddenly he's like, oh, but, you know, maybe I could get on board this.

28:56And again, the reason he suddenly is saying maybe I can get on board this is he wants regulatory capture. He wants his company, which just did things internally, and according to him, did them right internally, he wants new rules to be placed on the guys coming behind him. This is how you get monopolies that will have power forever. That is what the government will do. And then by the way, at the end, then he throws in the little thing about, yeah, and I guess I could get on board something internationally. But China is building fast. Did you get the headline? I think I said that they just opened a factory where they're building robots every 10 seconds.

29:31It's actually every 10 minutes, but I think it opened today. They are building humanoid robots. They can build one every 10 minutes. There you go, just in. China officially opens the world's first mass production plant, making a humanoid robot every 10 minutes. So do we want to keep falling behind on that? Despite knowing all the warnings that Isaac Asimov taught us an iRobot and everything else? Well, I leave that question to you. Now, of course, Jacob Coxon, the kid who worked at Anthropic for two months and then became a huge star and suddenly had millions of people reading in posts, even though he had no followers before.

30:08Here he is explaining to Hannity that previous catastrophic warnings about things were just fear-mongering, but this is the one, man. All the other stuff, when the world's gonna end because of this, that, oh no, that was a bit much, but this, trust me, the one that I'm profiting off of right now and getting on TV and all this, they're getting famous about, this is the one, dude. And I do, I agree with President Trump's tweet that global warming doomsday scenarios were overplayed. Like, it's a very slow process, and talking about doomsday is completely absurd. I mean, I also agree that many other catastrophic panics in the past have been just fear-mongering.

30:48The reason this is unique is AI is moving so incredibly quickly, we won't have time to respond to it before it's too late. First off, who, again, like who cares what this kid thinks? He was a two month low level employee there and he has connections to leftist nonprofits. That's number one. Number two, this idea, this is never let a tragedy go to waste. It's like, they've done this with everything. Something is coming. COVID is coming. Global warming is coming. Climate change is coming. It's getting warmer. It's getting colder. Blah, blah, blah, this, that. And then we've got to take this. There was a shooting.

31:21We've got to take the guns. Those were, oh, but those were all blown out of proportion. This is the one that's gonna get us tomorrow. I am so bored of this nonsense. And what I'm really bored of is that a bunch of people who've never created anything, Bernie Sanders has never created anything. All of these Democrats, Zorhan, we're gonna show you him right now. He has never built anything. He has never created anything. Yes, he has soft lens and he's pretty decent at whispering while smiling, while subtly ushering in jihad. But besides that, he has never built anything. But suddenly, the mayor of New York City, he also wants to regulate AI.

32:00Like many Americans across the country, the news coming out of this technology in recent days and weeks has been incredibly alarming. We are speaking about reports that, as you said, include suggestions that this could lead to the end of humanity. And whether it's the hugging face incident or it's the assertion from one of the heads of Anthropic that these kinds of incidents are occurring at every single AI company, we should be seeing a far greater response from the federal government on this issue. One that has the urgency befitting any conversation around the end of humanity. God, he's such a slimy little fraud.

32:44Like if you're watching that thinking, my God, that guy's pretty authentic, or I like him, or he believes any of that, no. What he wants is what he said at the end. He wants the federal government to do things. Now you might say it doesn't make sense, right? What did I say a moment ago? It's like, you want the federal government to do something about this? But Donald Trump's the head of the federal government. I thought he's a fascist. I thought he's a pedophile. I thought he's a whatever else then. He's a Nazi, he's Hitler, all those things. But give him the Nazi, pedophile, fascist, must have the power to control the robots who are coming to kill us.

33:15That's why everything progressives say is nonsense. Power is evil. Give it to us and give those people who we hate more power and then it'll be okay. It's such thin, utter drivel nonsense. But I'm telling you, a simple heuristic, guys, if Zorhan and Bernie and Steve Bannon, if all of the worst people are suddenly for something, a very simple way of coming to your conclusion should be, I'm against it. And then do a little more research on that. But what he really is telling you is consistent with his view as a socialist. There's a thing happening. Robots, AI, a kid warned us about something. The government should fix it.

33:59Not the people who are the experts at it, not competition, not self-regulation or anything else. The government should come in and they just say it. It doesn't mean anything. It's like when they say we should have Medicare for all. It's the easiest thing to say. We should have Medicare for all. We should regulate AI. Okay, those are very easy things and they make rather dim people suddenly be like, oh, that must be a nice person who cares about me. But okay, Medicare for all? Okay, how are you gonna force all those doctors to work? Now ironically, you want Medicare for all? You should be for AI more than anybody because we are literally going to cure diseases simply.

34:35We are going to have pods like in science fiction movies that will perform robotic surgery on people. So you guys should be for it. It's the same thing as saying, well, I want regulation of AI. Well, okay, who's gonna do it? How are you gonna do it? The government knows how to do it? Completely absurd. And speaking of completely absurd, do you remember Kamala Harris, the woman who pulled the soft coup on the guy with dementia and then ran for president and thank God it didn't work out? Well, she posted this. The frontier of artificial intelligence is advancing at an alarming speed. Over the weekend, industry leaders voiced support for an idea that the American people and many AI researchers in their own labs have been calling for.

35:14We must responsibly slow the pace of frontier AI development. Slow down, a slow down is critical in order to ensure AI serves the public interest. Pacing AI development does not mean giving up on this technology's potential to produce life-saving benefits in fields like medicine, some of which we are already seeing. Rather, it is about setting up sensible guardrails so that AI does not completely escape human control and endanger our safety and collective future. This moment demands the leadership of the United States government. Congress must work at an urgent pace to pass new laws and establish a new federal entity to provide oversight and independent testing for this technology to ensure accountability and protect our wellbeing.

35:53We need cooperation at an international level as well. The United States must continue to lead the world in developing AI technology, even as we seek to impose common sense safety standards. This means that the president must do his job to protect America's interests by pursuing a treaty with countries like China to stop dangerous uses of AI, limit the speed of its development and adopt global standards for testing. So once again, she wants a woman who she was telling everyone was a racist, fascist lunatic to have power over AI, which is going to kill us all. It's completely absurd, although not as absurd as when Kamala was running for president and she was asked what AI actually is.

36:29AI is kind of a fancy thing. it's first of all, it's two letters. It means artificial intelligence. But ultimately what it is, is it's about machine learning. We really dodged a bullet there, didn't we? Unbelievable. But again, what I'm trying to show you is that they're all on board this thing. All of these people who weren't talking about this before suddenly have synchronized messaging that the government must control this thing. And again, that's separate, that's completely separate from the fact that other countries, we're really only talking about China, but there's all sorts of other countries that will be working on their own models that will not regulate themselves.

37:10And we will not only fall behind them, eventually we'll be beholden to them for the technology most likely. So who else is in on this? And I think he's the orchestrator of a lot of this. Well, it's Barry Barack Hussein Obama. He said this, I was encouraged this week to see the leaders of Frontier Labs agree on the need for them to slow down the pace of AI development. Given the stakes, it's a good and necessary first step. But I'm even more encouraged by the growing recognition that how this powerful new technology develops should be at the center of our public debate. I've been watching the progress on AI for over a decade now, and one thing that's clear to me is that the potential impact of this technology is not overhyped.

37:49It's also moving at lightning speed and even faster than those who are engineering it can keep up with. I'm not an AI accelerationist who believes that it will lead to some techno-utopia, and I'm not a doomer who thinks it will inevitably lead to humanity's destruction. But whether this technology results in amazing breakthroughs in medicine, energy, education, or unleashes huge economic disruptions, greater inequality and potential catastrophe will depend on the choices that we make right now, Choices that should be made not just by the companies involved, but by all of us. Now, interestingly, that statement right there where he sort of warns on both sides, he's doing good Obama.

38:27He's doing flashback Obama 15 years ago before he was unmasked as the radical he is. He's doing something there that makes him sound, and this is what he was a master at. He can sound sort of moderate while he ushers in all of this lefty lunacy. because the underlying piece of all of that is get the government involved. Now this is quite interesting. If you wanna see, I keep saying this is an op, that the coordination and synchronicity of all this is an op. If you wanna see how an op works, there's a guy by the name of Sayerji. He's an investigative journalist and he's also a Maha advisor. He wrote this, and you'll find this rather fascinating.

39:04The last time Netflix delivered a Doomer documentary to the global mass audience on the eve of an unprecedented policy expansion? January 22nd, 2020. Pandemic, how to prevent an outbreak. One day before Wuhan's lockdown. Seven weeks before WHO declared COVID-19 a pandemic. Production timeline, two plus years. What a strange coincidence. And then what happened yesterday on Netflix? Well, the AI doc dropped to 260 million subscribers. Two days later, King Charles convenes Anthropic, NVIDIA, DeepMind, OpenAI at Dumfries House to draft a shared principles AI charter. Production timeline on that movie, three years, same platform, same architecture.

39:48Do you get it guys? What are the chances? Right before COVID, a movie that's in the can for two years drops. Right before all of this, a movie, it dropped today. A movie about AI, a Doomer movie about AI drops on Netflix. Are there some strange things going on on Netflix? We'll have more on that in just a second. Listen to this from Erica, just an ex-commentator. I just thought this was quite good. Want to understand how propaganda works? Tomorrow, that's now today, Netflix premieres the AI Docs starring Sam Altman, Dario Omidai, and also Reid Hoffman. The topic, impending doom about AI. The movie was launched by Sundance Festival in February.

40:29Yup, the Sundance documentary program where George Soros is the original architect and founding financial backer. The AI doc received grants from Open Society, Ford Foundation, and MacArthur. It's a globalist op. Yes, it is. Oh, and speaking of Netflix, remember this? Higher ground extends creative partnership with Netflix. But Dave, what's higher ground? Oh, higher ground, that's Barack and Michelle Obama's production company. Am I like the guy with the crazy thing? I'm becoming that meme right now. That we're all becoming that meme. Pull up the meme. The guy like, is it a conspiracy? And it's just like, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding.

41:09I thought this was rather interesting. This is from Nicholas Holscher. He's an epidemiologist and administrator at McCullough Foundation. He wrote, the Terminator psyop is fully operational. AI false flag risk is now high. The playbook is simple. Terrify the public with an AI catastrophe. Demand emergency regulation. Make compliance impossibly expensive. Crush smaller competitors. consolidate advanced AI into a handful of corporations, the solution, quote unquote solution, to dangerous AI becomes centralized control of AI. This could create the most powerful system of surveillance, censorship, and control ever built.

41:48When we go through the stories in the morning, Joseph Phoenix and I were bouncing ideas back and forth. That is basically exactly what Joseph said to me. That is what they are gonna do. They are gonna pull, there is nothing that Barack Obama and Bernie Sanders and some of these AI executives who want that regulatory capture so that they can keep their companies going, there is nothing they would like more than some sort of crazy AI thing to happen. Teslas start driving into people, your computer, all laptops start smashing on your fingers, you know, your iPad starts spanking you, I don't know, a whole bunch of stuff.

42:22And by the way, so I mentioned Barack Obama has this production company. It's signing multi-million dollar deals with Netflix. They're releasing movies the day as these things are all coming out. It all seems very weird. And then it reminded me of this. Did you see the Barack Obama executive produced movie called The World Behind in 2023 on Netflix when all of the Teslas tried to kill Julia Roberts? Maybe they know something. No one in that car. Mom, you let this car go.

43:09Yeah, that's not AI. That's an actual movie. It's called Leave the World Behind, executive produced by Barack Obama on Netflix. And of course, it's the Elon Musk Teslas that are trying to kill beloved Julia Roberts. Pretty woman. And now if you wanna see more about the op, well, hot diggity damn on cue this morning, Time Magazine. How Dangerous Are You? The AI Tipping Point by Harry Booth, Naomi Nix, and Billy Perigo. So again, these things don't just happen overnight. When a commercial is made, it's in the can. That's what they call it in Hollywood. It takes a little time to come out. One of the things, I've mentioned this before, one of the things that really woke me up to COVID was it was two weeks, or they said 15 days to slow the spread.

43:59And I remember about two weeks in, we still had cable TV at the time. We lived in LA, and every Sunday, judge me as you will, on TV land, which I don't even know if it's a channel anymore, we used to watch The Golden Girls. And it was about two weeks in, and suddenly all of the commercials for The Golden Girls were about the new normal. And I thought, this makes no sense. They had to produce these weeks, if not months ago. So that shows you. Barack Obama's producing movies where the Teslas, through AI must have gone wacky and the Teslas and he doesn't like Elon Musk very much because Elon Musk was supporting Donald Trump.

44:32That movie comes out then, now they've got the AI Doomer movie out and it's just a fiasco. So again, what do I keep saying? I'm very happy to see the people that I've been playing a lot of videos of lately, who I admire, who I like, who I think are the innovators and are gonna get us to the other side of this nonsense. They're making sense. So here is Nvidia CEO. He was also at the All In podcast, Jensen Huang, telling the all-in guys that the fear-mongering is just all made up. How do you describe, like, you know, my mom calls me and she's like, Chamath, what is this whole civilizational death thing?

45:06I don't know how to explain it to her. So what does that mean, 10 % of extinction? Nobody knows how to explain that to the average person, how that's even possible. Well, first of all, we shouldn't. Because it's made up. There was a prediction that in five years' time, radiology will be completely taken over by artificial intelligence and there'll be no radiologists in the world. That has proven to be exactly the opposite. We need more radiologists than ever in the world. However, AI has taken over radiology completely, which is great. It is automated scan reading, which is great. Within six to nine months, that was predicted last year, 50 % of entry jobs will be wiped out.

45:43That has proven to be wrong. We have to take accountability. We have to take account for all of the stupid predictions that were made. Right. Somebody has to take. And so we have to just keep track of all that. And, of course, people do and remind us that those predictions are inconsistent with ultimately America winning the AI race. Man, he is really, really good. I'm very happy that he is leading NVIDIA right now. You know what he just did there, in essence? What do I always say? Bring receipts. When you go on these shows, it's one of my favorite moments when Ted Cruz went on The View and they're asking him all of this nonsense.

46:23And he's like, oh, let me show you this. What he just did right there was read receipts. The people that have been fear-mongering and going crazy about all of these things have been wrong about all of these things. Okay, even, I can give you a very simple example of this. You know, I've got this crazy shoulder situation right here. So when I've had x-rays and MRIs, I've put them into AI. and what AI always, it gives you some recommendations. It says, this is not fully medical advice. You should talk to your doctor. And then, and sometimes it says, and your radiologist should look at it or the expert should look at it or whatever.

46:57Like these are ways, these are technologies that we will leverage to our advantage. But that's a secondary point to his primary point, which is that stop following the doomsdayers. The question by Chamath is my mom is freaking out about all this stuff because she thinks the world's gonna end. Stop playing that game. Notice how they went from zero to 100, right? They didn't go from zero, well, we've got a few little problems here, and I don't know, maybe having five big companies isn't enough or whatever. It just went from zero last week. None of these people were talking about this stuff at all, and suddenly everyone is telling us the apocalypse is coming.

47:30That is just complete nonsense. However, if the apocalypse does come, I do want your dog to be well-fed, and what should you feed your dog? You should feed them Sundays, okay? That's what you should do. You know, when the COVID lockdown started in Los Angeles, one of the best things to come out of it was that I got Clyde. The shelters were shutting down. I've told you this story before. And Clyde was literally gonna be put down that day. And I went in there. I literally, I grabbed him out there. I didn't even have a mask. They didn't wanna let me in. And I got him at about 11 a.m. They were gonna put him down at one.

47:59Crazy, crazy, crazy. But I care about Clyde and I care about what he's eating. And that's why I like Sundays for dogs. The real story is the ingredient panel, not the front of the bag. Sundays is human grade dog food made with more than 80 % all natural meat. plus ingredients like kale, ginger, and blueberries. There are no fillers, no synthetic vitamin premixes, and no long list of ingredients you can't pronounce. It was created by veterinarian Dr. Tori Waxman because she wanted food she could actually stand behind. And it's incredibly easy. No fridge, freezer, prep, or mess. Sundaes gently air dries the food, so you just scoop it into the bowl and serve.

48:30And if you know Clyde, you know he has plenty of energy, so keeping him happy, healthy, and excited makes mealtime matter. Make the switch to Sundaes. Go right now to sundaysfordogs.com slash reuben and get 50 % off your first order, or you can use code Ruben at checkout. That's 50 % off at sundaysfordogs.com slash Ruben. And that is lunch for Joseph right there. Connor, you got the meme I was referencing. This is the meme. What show is that from? It's from... It's Sunny Always. Oh, it's from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, which I owe Connor. He's been asking me to watch this show for like five years and I still haven't done it.

49:04I know Danny DeVito's in it. Okay, okay. But that's just become a meme online when people start saying crazy things. That's sort of what I feel like right now, but am I the crazy one? Have I laid out anything crazy or we're just putting pieces together? I just think after all of the time, after all the fear-mongering and lies that we've lived through, Hunter Biden's laptop and COVID and climate change and boys or girls and everything, like I think enough of us are prepared to deal with this big lie right now. And that maybe is the key to the pushback. Let's continue though on what the Trump administration, or you know what, let's pause for a second on all of that actually.

49:39We will get back to it at the end of the show. There's other things happening right now, and some of them involve the invasion of our country that the Democrats have been doing, and maybe we shouldn't be giving them any more power over anything, but this is quite interesting. This is from ChatGPT, and you'll understand why we're reading this to you in just a second. The Trump administration's new public charge rule takes effect this Friday. It gives immigration officers more leeway to deny green cards to people they believe are likely to depend heavily on government benefits after coming to the US.

50:09In simple terms, officials can look more closely at whether someone's likely to be able to support themselves financially. Now, 22 states in Washington, DC are suing to block the rule. So you get it. When people want a green card, of course it makes sense that we should have a policy that if you're gonna become very dependent for whatever reason on the government, you're gonna have to live on the government dole on other people's taxes, well, that should affect your green card status. And we should be trying to bring in people who are gonna help produce, who are gonna help make America successful.

50:40That's not to say you can't take in a certain set of people that need extra help and everything else. But of course, your level of need and your level of dependency should be a factor in whether you can come to this country via green card or anything else. So it's a very, very sensible policy. But of course, the socialist commie jihadist in New York is now suing Donald Trump over it. To govern. Immigrants are New Yorkers. And like I said once before, to get to any of us, you will have to get through all of us. That is why today we are confronting this injustice with the solidarity and action that it demands.

51:16New York City is leading a coalition of cities and counties, including Chicago, San Francisco, Seattle, Santa Clara County and King County, to sue the federal government for the gross illegality of their new public charge rule and the irreparable damage that it will cause. Okay, slight throwaway. He's an evil man trying to destroy the country. That's number one. Number two, notice the first sentence, immigrants are New Yorkers. Okay, but we're talking about people on green cards. And why shouldn't we, when someone's coming to a country, decide whether this person is gonna be valuable or a drain on society or whether other people are often to foot the bill or anything else.

51:52But of course, what you're really trying to do with illegal immigration and what Biden administration did and everything else is you wanna flood the country with new voters. And the irony to connect this to the AI part is something that I've been talking about for years. The Democrats wanna bring all these people in because they keep telling us no one's gonna pick our tomatoes and no one's gonna do those other crappy jobs, except robots are going to start doing all of that. They're doing it already, okay? So you guys, nothing you say makes sense. You wanna bring in all of these people. You wanna keep them on the government.

52:24There won't even be jobs for them. So he needs as many people to come in as quickly as possible because AI is gonna blow his spot, basically. It's gonna become so obvious that between AI making things more efficient and getting rid of government waste and robots taking these jobs, we won't need these people anyway. He will not have his new voters, which are the thing that gets him power, which is what he wants most. Then after he spoke, they brought on New York City advocate Jumaine Williams, and he thinks Trump is a mean meanie because Trump wants to basically make sure that people come here should be here.

53:00It shouldn't be a drain on everyone else. The purpose of this is cruelty. That's it. Cruelty and fear. That is the purpose of all of these immigrant decisions that are coming from the Trump White House and absolutely nothing else, particularly to non-white immigrants. Okay. Now, of course, in the Trump rule, there is nothing about race. so they make everything about race. But you know what, if it's just about cruelty, it's just that it's mean. And Donald Trump, the reason he wants people to come here with green cards and be able to function and not be on the government dole is just because he's mean.

53:37Well, can you put that image up again? Obviously, all of these people are nice people. These are great people. Look at Mamdami right there. Like, when you catch him in those moments, he is so freaking evil, it's so obvious. But okay, I'll just for a moment say, these are all great, wonderful, various color people. why don't they all throw in a little extra money? Why don't you guys throw in a little extra money? If you're really concerned that green card people here are being denied because they might be on the government, oh, why don't you guys do that? Oh, but you only like it when other people are forced to do it by the barrel of a gun from the government.

54:07Now, ironically, when you're talking about the mean meanies, well, Barack Obama, the hero for you guys, back in 2006, he was a mean meanie meanster from Mean Town, lived on Mean Avenue on the corner of Mean Street in the Mean District. The American people are a welcoming and generous people. Those who enter our country illegally and those who employ them disrespect the rule of law. And because we live in an age where terrorists are challenging our borders, we cannot allow people to pour into the U.S. undetected, undocumented, and unchecked. Mean Barack Obama. So what would Zorhad and what was his name, Jermaine, and everybody else say about, what would all these people say about that guy, Barack Obama?

54:55When Barack Obama made sense back in 2006 before he was president, well, there you had it. And now if you don't allow people to come in because they're gonna drain the system, you're somehow, the implication was racist and mean and cruel and everything else. It's boring, it's thin, but I would also say this, it's 22 states and DC that wanna be part of this. Okay, have at it, and it's your money. How about that, not federal money? How about you don't get a dime of federal money? So if New Yorkers wanna keep bringing in people who ultimately will not have jobs and you're gonna have to pay for them, and they'll probably rape a couple people and maybe murder your daughter, have at it.

55:34And the same red states will keep them out, because I'm gonna guess that all 22 of those states are blue. By the way, there are good things happening right now with this government, and one of the things that Trump is really gonna have to do over the course of the next six weeks is shine light on that. You know, a couple months back, they tasked Vice President J.D. Vance with dealing with fraud, right? He was gonna do this fraud task force, and well, we're now seeing the fruits of that. Take a look. We are gonna suspend 870 ,000 people permanently, people who defrauded the government over the last couple of years, the last couple of decades.

56:10We're gonna make it impossible for them to get loans from the federal government. As happens with so many of the programs that are born out of the generosity of the American taxpayer, we had many, many people who took advantage of those programs. People who decided to steal from the American taxpayer, steal money that was supposed to go to small businesses and American workers. Well, we think it makes sense that if you were caught stealing from the American taxpayer, you shouldn't be able to benefit from these loans anymore. So we're going to suspend about 870 ,000 people from being able to access these funds in the future and from being able to borrow money from the American taxpayer.

56:47All right. So look, it's not the sexiest thing, but suspending people who have defrauded the United States government from ever getting loans from the U.S. government is good. Here, JD explains a little bit further that you might want to think just for a moment, why is it that the Democrats never care about fraud? Why do they never care about where your money is going? they're always demanding more money from you. If you're looking to cast a ballot in November for somebody who's going to protect your taxpayer dollars and ensure that the food stamp program actually goes to young families, who's ensures that the Medicaid program actually ensures that our low income children have access to a doctor, who ensure that our small business administration goes to upstart companies, not to fraudsters, then you need to think seriously about why Anti-congressional Democrats have refused to help us at every step of the way.

57:39Again, not the sexiest thing pointing out that, oh, Republicans largely do programs and they want a little oversight around it. And, you know, these things hopefully work or don't work, but they're at least trying. And Democrats simply don't care. What do Democrats always want? More money for schools. Well, we spent more money per student than any other place in Western civilization. Doesn't matter. We just need more money. Medicare for all, but how are you going to do it? How are you going to get the doctors? What, are you going to force people to work? How are you going to get people to submit their own labor against their will?

58:11Doesn't matter. We just like slogans. We just need more of your money, and it's pouring all over the place, and we want more, more, more, more, more. Of course, another thing that the Democrats keep telling us is that nobody's voting illegally. There's no fraud anywhere. And the epicenter of all of that nonsense, of course, is Los Angeles, where on election night, Nithya Raman literally gave a concession speech while crying, and now she's going to be running against Karen Bass, and Spencer Pratt unfortunately is out. Well, check out this news report coming out of L.A. Turns out homeless people were also getting cash to get propositions on the ballot.

58:45Three people have been arrested and charged with committing identity frauds. They're accused of paying people on L.A.'s Skid Row to sign ballot initiative petitions using stolen IDs. 47-year-old Victorville resident James Brass, who also goes by Lord, charged with conspiracy to commit identity fraud after he allegedly coordinated a team of signature collectors who, using L.A.'s homeless population on Skid Row, gathered forged signatures to help get propositions on the ballot. Oh yeah, so you know, that thing that they said was never happening, yeah, it was happening. And it's of course wrought with fraud.

59:20And the funny part of having to pay the homeless people to do this type of stuff is you don't even need to show an ID anyway. So they could have just paid people who voted elsewhere to just pretend they were someone else. Not that I'm giving hints on this stuff, but it would have been just as efficient rather than talking to the meth guy, but okay. The other thing that of course California, everything that California does, if California does something, DeSantis has said some version of this before. If Cali does something, and we're just gonna do the opposite over here? Well, here's a new bill.

59:45It's AB 1896 that Cali's pushing through so that if anyone has ever worked with ICE or any agency that has dealt with immigration enforcement, they can't work in Cali anymore. The task of California Governor Gavin Newsom would prohibit state and local agencies from hiring former immigration enforcement officers. This comes as police departments throughout the state struggle to recruit and retrain officers. California Democrats last month passed a first-of-its-kind bill forbidding state and local governments from hiring federal immigration agents. California will not bend when it comes to defending our communities, our civil rights, and the values that defined our golden state.

1:00:27I'm telling you guys, like, just it's the same thing that I'm saying to the Zorhan story a moment ago. Just let them do it. Okay, so you don't want anyone who's ever worked for ICE, who are just usually decent people trying to protect the country and protect legal citizens and get rid of gang bangers and the guy who beat his wife with a boot and everything else. You just don't want them to work in California anymore for the state of California. Okay, so you can go ahead and do that. And in New York, you know what? You wanna pay for people who need more green card holders, who need more resources, okay, go ahead and do that.

1:01:01And you know what we're gonna do in red states? I think we're gonna start building walls. And you know what we're gonna do in red states? I think we're gonna start creating armies of robots. And maybe you guys shouldn't even be states anymore. You should be thought of as Puerto Rico. You're like, you're just territories. You're just like, what makes this the United States anymore? Blue states are run by backwards lunatics ushering in completely insane policies. And then there's the rest of us who are doing the best we can. Let's talk about balance of nature for a minute. And then we've got more from Callie and it involves a fishing rod and Jake Tapper.

1:01:31There's a image from hell. We all know we should be eating more fruits and vegetables, but getting enough variety every single day isn't always realistic. That's where Balance in Nature makes things easy. Their whole health system combines fruits and veggies with fiber and spice, giving you 47 different ingredients from fruits, vegetables, spices, and fibers, and the naturally occurring phytonutrients that come with them. They use a tailored vacuum cold process to stabilize the ingredients before they're powdered and packaged with no binders, fillers, or flow agents. It's just a simple way to add more whole food ingredients to your daily routine.

1:02:06Right now, you can save 10%. Go to balanceofnature.com and get 10 % off their whole health system when you use the discount code Rubin. That's balanceofnature.com, code Rubin for 10 % off. All right, so this is a rather interesting segment here because generally, and I'm pretty well-versed at this sort of thing here, living here in Florida, we're surrounded by a lot of reptiles. We've got your gators, you've got your iguanas, your various small lizards. generally lizards, reptiles, they're able to swim in the water and just catch fish with their teeth. But lizard man Gavin Newsom got in the water with Jake Tapper over at CNN.

1:02:40They did a little fly fishing because they're just regular guys. These are just regular guys having a regular conversation. The camera happens to be on them. And they started just regularly discussing while they're fly fishing as regular dudes, whether Gav was going to run if Kamala ran. Yeah, it's a lot of Democrats. 31 flavors. You're not even the only Californian. No, right. You've got Ro Khanna, Kamala. Yeah, I don't know if she runs, but we'll see. I know she's called around. Yeah, but I wouldn't run if she ran. If she runs, you will not? Of course not. Why would I? I wouldn't do that to her.

1:03:17I wouldn't do it to me. Why would I? I wouldn't do that to you. I wouldn't waste everyone's time. Who needs that? What do you mean? That doesn't even make sense to me. I just, I wouldn't. No. I wouldn't. But first of all, electorally, it's a gift from God for everybody else. They enjoy the hell out of it. Mutual assured destruction. It services no greater good. I mean, you can do whatever you want. I don't care. You can do whatever you want. I don't even care. Is there a camera on us right now? We're just two guys fly fishing. What, Newsom's boobs, you call that, what would that be, a B cup? That's more of an A cup, right?

1:03:48Because what's between an A and a B? Is there something between an A and a B? You got an A plus cup? A minus. I just, it's so stupid. Like this is what they've been left with because they see that the internet's taking over and that we can have normal conversations with people. And they're like, you think Gavin Newsom? They're like, I'll give him. He did do something with the thing in his mouth. I guess that seemed like something. But these guys are just such pathetic. And they get, Tapper, I don't care what you do. Like, why am I even doing this? Like, do I have a show? Like, what's going on here?

1:04:17And whether he'll run or not. I mean, even right there, His answers are so thin and dim and dumb. It's like, dude, if you believed you had the vision to run, if you had the true vision for the country and you had the track record of success, then why wouldn't you say to the lady who was awful, who got beat and lost all of the swing states, get out of my way. But you don't. You don't believe it, fortunately. Here's Tapper trying to coax, and again, they're just two guys just hanging out fly fishing, just talking about whatever, but it keeps coming up to what uh gab's future is going to be but like counter argument would be like you know she she had a shot yeah and you've never run and she's she's run twice yeah i mean that would be the that'd be the approach to the campaign certainly that would be the case you'd make pretty good one actually you know that's that's objectively true i just uh but i know what that means i know her base of supporters i know her friends the zen diagram on that is just pure crossover.

1:05:18It's not, I wouldn't do that to, I wouldn't do that. Did he just say the Zen diagram? Yeah, he meant the Venn diagram. He said the Zen. Well, you know, I know her supporters, so I just wouldn't run again. He's just, they're just terrible, terrible people, but it's wacky. It is just so wacky. What is going on with the Democrats right now? Let's talk about Texas for just a moment because they've got James, six gender, I'm for an open border, I'm for a closed border, Tallerico, and he's running in Texas, and something weird, I keep talking about that 12, they keep telling us that 12 % of the voters there are undecided, I just don't understand how you could live in Texas, the place of big belt buckles, and giant highways, and big stores everywhere, and Friday night lights, and football and barbecue, and everything else, and vote for that guy, however, here is CNN's data dork, Harry Endon, and he's particularly dorky in this one, talking about how Tallarico is up now five points and 36 points across independents.

1:06:17It makes no sense. This is the best Democratic poll for running for Senate for a Democrat from Texas. Look at that. Look at that. This entire century, James Tallarico is a Univision YouGov poll that was released in, I believe, the last 24 hours. James Tallarico up by five points in this poll. And the reason why is look at among independents. James Tallarico with a 36-point advantage. Donald Trump won this group by one point back in 2024, and with that, won the state. This is potentially a real history maker. As John has said, this seat has been held by a Republican this entire century. In fact, no Democrat has won any Senate race in Texas since 1988.

1:07:001988? Like, what is with these people? What do you do in Texas? You better wake up Texas. You're about to usher in someone that is more radical than Jasmine Crockett. She lost the primary to this guy because he went further left. And the end, I genuinely don't understand it. We may have to take an emergency trip, go see Glenn Beck in Dallas or something and see what's going on. It's not Dallas though, right? It's Austin. It's that Austin, they're multiplying like gremlins, these freaks. What are you people doing? You're going and you're a border, You're a border state on top of everything else.

1:07:38Do you not care about those people? You don't care about those people, of course, and you're gonna want their guns too once the aliens have invaded and everything else. Now, interestingly, I'm not gonna sit here and tell you that everything is perfect. One problem that we're having, that the Trump administration is having, that they better message on, and perhaps it has something to do with the war in Iran, is that gas prices are still high, and people just want to punish the president. You may not be wildly against the war, but at the end of the day, if you see your gas prices going up, it's just one of those things.

1:08:08It's like when you walk into the supermarket, I basically can base things on how much is a pound of beef, right, like a pound of beef, 80, 20 beef, you should be able to get for let's say 599, something like that, and you know, how much is a gallon of milk or a dozen eggs, and gas, those are the ones that I think the average person just sees and they connect it to the president, whether that is fair or not. Here is Harry Antonin, I said he was dorky before, that was his usual dorkiness here, He gets super dorky, but he is actually making a decent point. Yeah, Johnny B, you want to talk about a problem for the incumbent party, for the Republicans.

1:08:41We are talking about record high spikes in gas prices. I mean, just look at this. OK, you know, normally gas prices do go up during the course of an election year, during the course of midterm year, but never this high. This is record breaking. We are talking record breaking for a midterm this century to pay more because of the Iran war. Overall, 71 % say they're unwilling compared to just 29 % who say, well, look at this number among independents. 81%, 81%, four in five say they're unwilling to pay for higher gas prices because of the war in Iran. President Trump's argument, not winning the day.

1:09:14This is big, big, big, big, big lead problems for Republicans running. These numbers hold. You can say adios amigos, goodbye to that Republican majority in the House and maybe the Senate as well, increasingly so. Moving to the wrong. My God, can you imagine being at a party with that guy? I'd be like, excuse me for a second and jump off the balcony. But anyway, I will acknowledge the reality of that there. That does seem real to me. At the end of the day, when people see prices going up, whether they're for the war, not for the war, or for any reason, in any year, they want to punish the guy who's in charge.

1:09:48So Trump now has six weeks to either get those prices to drop real fast or message it better or something. So that's on you, Don, if you're watching the show today. A little bit more on the economic situation. This from CNBC, the benchmark 10-year treasury yield climbed to its highest level since 2007 on Tuesday as a sell-off in US government debt deepened ahead of the Federal Reserve's interest rate decision. And let me give just a little context, a little explainer on that. This from Grok, Wall Street's heading into Wednesday, this Wednesday's Fed meeting with an unusual worry that holding rates could scare the bond market more than another hike.

1:10:22Markets price roughly 76 % chance of a quarter point increase the first since July of 23. Normally, that's the risk. This time, some investors say a hold would look worse. Reuters put it this way, holding rates could fuel a further sell-off in bonds, likely pushing long-term rates higher for longer if the Fed raises doubts about how committed it is to bringing inflation back to the central bank's 2 % target. Inflation is still above 2%, oil has touched 100%, and deficits are running near 6.5 % of GDP. Wellington's Laurel Moran told Reuters markets want clear action consistent with returning inflation to 2%.

1:10:59That means there needs to be some pain. BlackRock disagrees. Russell Brownback said another hike would squeeze housing without slowing the stronger parts of the economy. So the Fed's choice is either add pain now or risk the bond market doing the tightening for it. So we will see what happens on Wednesday. But again, to connect that to the CNN numbers on gas, there's some shakiness around the economy and Trump is going to have to show some wins there. and now to tie the show together rather perfectly, if I do say so myself, what could we do to fix the economy? Wouldn't it be interesting if America, with all of our ingenuity, with our incredible rich history of building great things and leading the world and being the place that everyone wants to live and producing more than any other place and exporting more than any other place, not only commercially, but ideas and everything else, wouldn't it be spectacular if we led this ai revolution because if we don't it will lead to stagnation and what stagnation will lead to is the end of trump and the rise of socialism ben shapiro on cns there's one that nobody's talking about there there are two risks and we it's fun to talk about the apocalyptic risk because we've all seen apocalypse movies there is a much more significant risk that is much higher threat that is much more likelihood not higher threat, but more likelihood.

1:12:19And that is the risk of stagnation. If you stagnate AI, it is probably the beginning of the end of the American economy. We are currently running into economic dire straits in which key bills are absolutely getting crushed, in which we have a $40 trillion national debt. And both parties, there is a uniparty. The uniparty is for spending enormous amounts of money and never paying for any of it. That is the actual uniparty in the United States. The only possible escape from that is to reach some sort of escape velocity in terms of productivity, which is why the Trump administration has been pushing AI.

1:12:49All right. I think I said it. I think I said it on the earlier clip. He's literally too smart for these panelists. They don't know what he's talking about. The basics of it, though, are we're in this weird sort of place right now with inflation. We're in this strange spot where we aren't inventing anymore and things seem to be stuck, stagnated. Why not unleash what we know the future will be, which is AI. That is the opportunity here. Did you get the screenshot on that? Because look, as Ben's talking, you could just see they're all looking at him like, my God, this is CNN. How are we? We're supposed to look at them.

1:13:28All right, it doesn't matter. My guys put this together this morning and I thought this was, this is basically a very simple graphic explanation. We'll put this up on X after so that you guys can share it if you want. But if you want to understand the debt sustainability equation, so debt sustainability, which is a stable or declining debt to GDP ratio over time, right? So that you can have a certain amount of debt and that is okay. So what do you equals? You want economic growth, right? A larger economy makes a given debt stock easier to carry. Okay, that makes sense. You want economic growth.

1:14:03I'm not even gonna read all the underlining stuff. What do you want? You want economic growth. and what do you wanna add to it? Revenue discipline. You want budgets that make sense. You don't want endless fraud. But then you have to subtract from that, right? Spending growth. There's going to be some more spending with different things. Even Donald Trump, who's tried to lower deficits, he ends up signing bills that spend. So you have economic growth, right? By inventing and doing new things and all of that. You wanna have revenue discipline, so the government has to take in a certain amount, but hopefully not more than it needs.

1:14:32You have to then subtract spending growth and then minus the interest burden, right? Lower interest rates cost free up resources and prevent a vicious cycle. So that's a very simple way of understanding what's going on with the economy right now. And if we can do some of, and that relates back to the JD point, why don't you care about the fact that the Democrats never care where your tax dollars are going? It gets to Ben's point, which is we have to innovate, otherwise we will stagnate. And the point, maybe the broader point on all of this right now is that for the last And in the last five or six days, we have watched everybody on the left across the board and some people on the right tell us that the robots are about to kill us.

1:15:11And it's not only completely insane, and I just don't understand how you don't get it, and I know you probably do, but how people wouldn't get it after the so many lies that have been told to us for so long. But what it does is it creates a situation where people cannot be optimistic. They are automatically pessimistic. They wake up and they're doom scrolling and they think the world is gonna end on their watch. and I'm happy to tell you guys, the world was here for a long time before me and it's gonna be here a long time after me. It is your job as a human being to maybe nudge it in the right direction so that it's a tiny bit better for the generation behind you.

1:15:44And what we need for that is innovation, we need innovation and we need optimism, maybe more than anything else. Elon Musk. Well, I think generally, I think my last words would be, I would encourage everyone to be optimistic and excited about the future. Good. And generally, I think for quality of life, it is actually better to err on the side of being an optimist and wrong rather than a pessimist and right. On that note. And that's right. And we all know it. It's the type of people that you want to be around. Do you want to be around negative people all the time? Do you want to be around doomsdayers and doom scrollers all the time?

1:16:27Or do you want to be around people that are excited about the future, that want to build things? or do you wanna be around the people that wanna see, oh my God, look at all those people building things. I will control them. It's obvious. Be an optimist prime. Don't be a negatron. I tell that to Justin every day. Thank you for watching the program. You know what? I'm calling it right now. I'm giving myself a 9-8 right now. I don't care what you say. That's how confident I am that this was a solid program and you should be proud that you're watching the show. I thank you for your support. Thank you for watching Post Game Show 30 Seconds, rubinreport.locals.com.

1:16:58Assuming that the robots that you have in that computer over there are working and we'll be able to flip the switch on this thing. But, you know, Bernie might have taken. OK, go.
