In short

Immigration enforcement and sanctuary-city policy after Minneapolis; a New York City case involving a man shot by police while allegedly attacking a woman with a knife; debate over whether to treat such cases as mental-health issues vs prosecution; broader culture/politics commentary including the SAVE Act (voter ID), and the Epstein files’ fallout.

Guests

No named guests appear in the provided transcript (it’s primarily Dave Rubin speaking and referencing other media figures).

Guest backgrounds

Not applicable.

Key claims

Trump is portrayed as willing to negotiate on immigration if officials “ask,” while focusing on “really bad criminals.” Tom Homan is said to be using “unprecedented collaboration” in Minnesota and drawing down 700 personnel. NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani is criticized for opposing prosecution of the knife attacker and for favoring mental-health treatment over attempted-murder charges. The SAVE Act is framed as voter-ID protection, not “Jim Crow 2.0.” Epstein files are depicted as increasingly implicating Democrats/donors, with Bill Gates facing allegations.

Notable examples

The knife-shooting incident in Queens (body-cam referenced); Mamdani’s comments; ICE/Minneapolis cooperation; Cato/DHS stats disputes; Caitlin Collins’ Epstein questioning; SAVE Act co-sponsors (Chip Roy, Sen. Mike Lee, Sen. Thune mentioned).

0:00I've tried a lot of seafood over the years, guys, and truly it's been hit or miss. You know, sometimes it looks great, but then you cook it and it just doesn't have that flavor or freshness you expect. So finding something reliable has made a huge difference. Wild Alaskan Company really changed that for me. It's the best way to receive high quality wild caught seafood delivered right to your door on your schedule. The first box I got was super easy to use. Everything comes individually portioned and vacuum sealed, so there's no guesswork. I cooked that wild Alaskan sockeye salmon just in a pan with a little olive oil, salt, and pepper, and it turned out fantastic.

0:34Clean flavor, great texture, and didn't feel like frozen fish at all. I've also tried the wild Pacific cod, which I love. It's light and flaky and really easy to work in when you need a quick dinner. What stood out is that the fish is quick frozen right after it's caught in Alaska, so it locks in that freshness along with the nutrients like omega-3s, and it's clean. no GMOs, no antibiotics, no additives, and it supports sustainable fishing and Alaskan fishermen. They're so confident in the quality that there's 100 % satisfaction, money-back guarantee, so there's no risk in trying it. Go to wildalaskan.com slash Rubin for$35 off your first order of premium wild-caught seafood.

1:09That's wildalaskan.com slash Rubin for$35 off your first order. Previously on the Rubin Show. Well, weird is another word for it. There's another word for it called crooked. Look at the chaos. Don't look at the fraud. This is stolen land. Pocahontas might be living in Malibu. Are you a man? The absolute absurdity of intersectionality with the trans and the blacks and the Hamas. They ate each other.

1:56All right, how you doing, guys? I'm Dave Rubin. This is The Rubin Report. It's February 4th, 2026. We are lives. It's February 5th. Well, look, you know, I'm trying to do a professional show around here. How am I supposed to know what day it is? Unless I'm, I have no idea what day it is. I'm out there in the real world. We've already lost 5.5 points. The best I can do today is a 9.4 because I don't believe in the 10.0 show. and 9.9 would be the absolute best. And just by already we've started. I'm only 45 seconds into the show we've lost. No guacamole for Joseph. Let's try this again. Well, I am Dave Rubin.

2:34I know that. And I know the show name. It's the Rubin Report. Today's February 5th. You know, we probably just sent someone to the dentist or to get a CT scan on the wrong day. It's 2026. We're live streaming on Rumble and YouTube and Locals. All that good stuff. We got a show for you. I got a whole bunch of paper here. I got a pen. Let's just dive right in. Second half of the show is rubenreport.locals.com community. Q &A and Joseph is at the computer right there. And since he did make the error this morning, he's going to be very attentive to all of your questions on the fly to not make another mistake today.

3:09Ironically, I'm taking the team out. Forget it. Let's go. Let's go. Okay. So there's just a whole bunch going on. Obviously, most of it is about this Minnesota stuff, but we're going to relate it to some of the other cities and some crazy, crazy stuff out of Mom Domi in New York, literally defending potential murderers. I mean, it's just so psychotic. We'll connect it to a little bit of what's going on in the Senate and the House as it pertains to the SAVE Act, which is obviously connected to voting, which is connected to Minnesota. So you're going to see us weave and bob and dance and do all of that stuff.

3:38But let's start with Trump because, you know, one of the things I've been saying over all of this, it's sort of, there's sort of two things happening here. We're between a rock and a hard place in that Trump can't give these guys an inch and they just want more chaos. So how do you arbitrage those two situations, those two positions, right? It's really, really tough to find a middle ground. But to the backdrop of that, what I always say is that Trump is the easiest guy to negotiate with. If the Democrats would come to him with anything that was remotely sane, he would negotiate. That is obvious.

4:13and, well, he did an interview with NBC last night, and clearly that is the case. So I want to be clear because it sounds like there is a shift in immigration enforcement here, that there's going to be a shift after Minneapolis. What should Americans expect going forward? Well, one thing I say to my people, you know, we do a good job, we don't get credit for it. I say they have to ask and they have to say please. When a city is going to the mayor or the governor, I don't wanna go and force ourselves into a city, even if their numbers are terrible. On that question, which cities are you headed to next?

4:49We have five cities that we're looking at very strongly, but we wanna be invited. Okay, so there's a couple interesting things here, and I think it really drives home the point that I've been trying to make, which is that Trump wants to negotiate. He doesn't, you can see it's not his default position, like I wanna send the feds into the states and into the cities and do this. He actually doesn't want that. I think he does wanna deal with the immigration situation, obviously, but he's also, I mean, this is Donald Trump, a media guy. He is very sensitive to the narrative stuff. And to whatever extent a certain set of people believe that the narrative is that ICE is mean and doing bad things and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.

5:31He actually is sensitive to that. So that's why he would be willing to negotiate, right? So first off, the question was interesting because the question implies that Trump has already said there will be a shift. I never heard him say there was going to be a shift in policy. And by the way, he was also sending Holman, who's now in Minnesota. So that seemed like he was doubling down. But then he does sort of admit there is a shift. We're going to want them to ask. Now, even right there, that is quite a concession by Donald Trump. He doesn't have to ask the governors or mayors of these cities. It is his job as executive, chief executive of this country, as president of the United States, who's in charge of the borders, it's his job to deal with this.

6:11So he doesn't have to ask. And in a weird way, you wouldn't want them to have to ask, right? Because let's say Pritzker in Illinois, right? And the lunatic mayor, Brandon Johnson. It's not fair to the good people of Illinois or Chicago to just leave them to the jackals, these two morons, right? Like, so in some sense, I don't know that the president should be asking, but I suppose what he's trying to do there is call them on their bluff, like kind of like, okay, you guys wanna keep going with this? Well, we'll just see the crime increase. We'll see the general mayhem and the drugs and all that stuff.

6:46And eventually the people will turn on you. So there's probably some version of playing politics there. But then he even says at the end, I don't want to. I don't wanna do this. And I actually believe him on that. Remember, we can probably find video of it and maybe we'll play it for tomorrow's show. But when he took office, There's definitely 100 % video of him saying, guys, you've got a couple months to clean this stuff up, meaning clean up the sanctuary city stuff, and then we won't go in. Minnesota obviously was not going to clean it up. New York City now, I mean, Zoran was sworn in saying he's going to maintain a sanctuary city.

7:23I don't know any blue city that really is backtracking. Now, subsequently from this interview, there does appear to be a little bit of a change in what's going on in Minnesota, but let's put that down for a second because what I'm about to show you is one of the craziest. This is a top 10 crazy. 13 years of this program, thousands of shows, top 10 crazy right here. Moron Zamboni, the now mayor, communist slash jihadist mayor of New York City, gave a press conference yesterday and he gets very emotional over a man who was shot by police. Now, we're gonna show you him talking and we're going to juxtapose that, you know, I love that word with the video of the man who got shot, who was wielding a knife, apparently attacking a woman and the police officer himself.

8:14And Zorhan is crying over the knife attacker. And as you said, I spoke with the Chakraborty family and I visited Chavez in the hospital and there is no family should have to endure this kind of pain. Put the knife down! Put the knife down! Put the knife down! Put the knife down! Move! Move! Move! Move! Put the knife down! Put the knife down! Put the knife down! Did you catch what happened right there? The Chavez family. Chavez is the guy with the knife. No family should have to endure this type of pain. He's talking about the fact that the police officer shot the guy who was about to probably murder that woman and potentially the police officer.

9:05Do we have a still of that? Do we have a still there? We couldn't get it. All right. It was a little tight to get the still, but Chavez is the guy with the knife. The guy with the knife, with the woman screaming is the guy that Mom Dami is upset about. This is so absolutely crazy. And yet it's one of those things that you go, oh, it's another crazy thing out of these people. Oh, they're actually, why do I always say it? They are never for the victim. They are always for the bad guy and it is going to get worse. And well, here's even legal evidence that it is going to get worse as it pertains to this story.

9:38This is from Fox. New York City Mayor Zorhan Mamdani said on Tuesday that he does not believe the Queens District Attorney should prosecute the mentally ill man who was shot by police as he allegedly ran toward officers with a knife, arguing that the individual needs mental health treatment instead. The Queens District Attorney's Office is investigating the incident with preliminary reports suggesting prosecutors were looking at potentially seeking an indictment for attempted murder. But Mamdami, who has viewed the body camera footage, said the man needs mental health treatment instead of facing criminal charges.

10:12Guys, listen to me. Listen to me. Listen to me. Listen to me. If you are in New York City and you are watching this show, leave. Leave. You will not survive four years of this. This is psychotic to the nth degree. I don't even, we have a still, let's just, let's just throw the still. So there's the still, this guy, we have to blur the knife there basically because we'll get demonetized or the live stream will get cut or whatever. But this guy, while the woman is screaming, is running at a police officer with a knife. Do you think it was so he could do sushi grade sashimi? Probably not. Let's find out if the police officer was holding a big piece of tuna.

10:54He was probably going to kill the police officer, maybe kill that woman, potentially kill himself. But not only does Zorhan say no family should have to endure this, the fact that the police officer did the right thing, by the way, I'm getting a live report, all reports now say the police officer was not holding a piece of tuna. So that's important, thank you for that. All right, Joseph, you made up for it. There you go. So he's the victim. And then let me just talk about the mental health thing for a second. This is what I always say with these school shootings. You remember that school shooting?

11:27It was about three or four years ago, Uvalde, Texas, where some absolute lunatic broke into a school in Texas, and he killed like 16 elementary school kids and a couple teachers. It was unbelievably horrific. They're all horrific, but that one, elementary school, just beyond imagination, right? And if you remember that night, Joy Reid, who no longer has a job, went on MSNBC and said, this has nothing to do with mental health. It's about the guns. And by very definition, that actually shows that you are not mentally healthy. If you have a gun and you choose, for whatever reason is in your head, to shoot up 16 innocent elementary school kids, you have a mental health issue.

12:08But does that mean you shouldn't be in jail? So the fact that he doesn't want this guy in jail, now, could you put him in jail and also have some counselor working on him or get him on some medication or something? But what are you talking about? You don't want him to go to jail? Okay, let's just put him in some house somewhere and he can talk to some therapist. And my uncle was mean to me when I was growing up and that's why I was gonna stab the guy. But this is consistent with everything the Democrats have done. You remember the video of the now former, thank God, although they've been even worse mayor now, but the mayor of Seattle, a couple months ago who was saying he doesn't want to jail criminals.

12:42He wants to know what happened to them when they were kids. These people are coming to kill you. You must leave the city now. Can we do it with a flash, some sort of flashing red siren or something that maybe we could add in there? I don't know if I can be any clearer on this. Anyway, let's go back to Trump again, because when I tell you that Trump is willing to make concessions here, it is obvious. Now, the Democrats will not, they'll only use that against him in essence, but here he is talking about how he's really only focused on serious criminals, not just all of the illegals. I have a question about immigration still looking forward now.

13:17Your goal during the election was to deport everyone who came here illegally under President Biden. Is your mission now to deport everyone who came in illegally or just people who have come in illegally, who have also committed additional crimes? We are totally focused on criminals, really bad criminals. Now, you could say people that came in illegally are criminals, but I'm talking about murderers from different countries. We have 11 ,888 murderers that Biden and his group led into our country. We've captured a lot of them. We've brought some of them back. A lot of them we don't want to bring back because we don't trust the country that they're not sent back again.

13:55Yeah. Mr. President, speaking of Minneapolis, what did you learn? I learned that maybe we can use a little bit of a softer touch, but you still have to be tough. These are criminal, we're dealing with really hard criminals. All right, guys, I don't know anyone that does what I do for a living that's been more of a supporter of Trump. I do wanna noodle him a little bit on that line right there. Maybe we could have been a little softer. I don't know what that means. That seems like an unnecessary concession to these guys. I'm not saying everything's perfect, right? You know my feelings on this. People are, humans are imperfect, there's no perfect system.

14:34there is no perfect way to do this, period. It is so complex, it's beyond imagination. If the Democrats weren't insane, it would still be complex because you'd still have to find people in crazy places and you'd still have to put the ICE officers in dangerous situations and all of those things. But him saying maybe softer, and then he did back out of it and say, you know, this is tough stuff and everything. But it seems like an unnecessary concession at this point. These guys are trying so freaking hard. I just have no doubt. There is no ICE officer who wakes up in the morning thinking, I want to kill somebody or I want to be put in a situation where I'm going to be threatened or I'm maybe never going to see my kids again or anything else.

15:18They don't want, when they took the job, the idea wasn't that they were going to have to cover their face or anything else. Or the video we showed you yesterday where one of the ICE agents gets into it with someone in his face and they're throwing ICE at him and the guy calls him a house N-word, right? None of these guys want this. So I think, whatever, it's one line. It doesn't really matter. But it shows the softness of Trump that I'm talking about. That for all you idiots out there that think Trump is Hitler and the Nazis are back and the brown shirts and everything, you think Trump is bad, wait till the guy comes after Trump who's like, Trump was easy on you MFers.

15:55That will be the real bad guy and you will rue the day that you called Trump Hitler. That really is the truth. Now, okay, all of that aside for a moment, one thing we know that Trump has done is he sent Tom Homan down to Minnesota. So Tom Homan is operating a little bit differently. They are trying somehow to work with some of the officials in Minnesota. And here's an update on that. We currently have an unprecedented number of counties communicating with us now and allowing ICE to take custody of illegal aliens before they hit the streets. unprecedented cooperation. Now I'll say it again. This is efficient.

16:38It requires only one or two officers to assume custody of a criminal alien target rather than eight or ten officers going into the community and arresting that public safety threat. This frees up more officers to arrest or remove criminal aliens. More officers taking custody of criminal aliens directly from the jails means less officers on the street doing criminal operations. This is smart law enforcement, not less law enforcement. Given this increase in unprecedented collaboration, I have announced effective immediately, we will draw down 700 people effective today. 700 law enforcement personnel.

17:24All right, so a couple things here. So first off, you know, I always make the joke, that's Tom Homan, he'll play Tom Homan in a movie about Tom Homan, the Tom Homan story. I mean, he's just serious. He's real. He's right. Like, okay. Like he's the guy for the job, obviously in this moment. Do you think this guy messes around? Do you think when he walks into a meeting with his guys and gives them a directive, do you think he doesn't know what he's talking about or anything else? Of course, of course he does, right? That's one part. But what's interesting there is the two words. There's unprecedented collaboration.

17:52He's talking about in Minnesota. So as they are changing their tactics, which is what he is doing. Again, you might argue that's a little bit of a concession to the left. They clearly are now getting some layer of cooperation with authorities in Minnesota. So while the Democrats and the media people and everything else, while they keep ratcheting up the rhetoric, that's his words. There's unprecedented collaboration. Clearly, some officials in Minnesota are now working with him and hopefully that will lower the temperature. But I'm always talking about the narrative around things, that in some sense, what actually is happening doesn't matter as much as the grand narrative and what we're all responding to all day.

18:36It's kind of why I play mainstream media clips. You might not care about mainstream media anymore and we know their numbers are going down, but the mainstream media still basically controls the narrative and maybe in some sense, in a world of the internet where there's a billion people talking about a gajillion things, you need something mainstream to kind of be the center of everything, right? So the narrative issue is interesting because from where I sit, Trump has the narrative here, right? Like people don't want illegals here. He was voted in to do this. Yes, we can debate about the violent criminals versus just the generic illegal who, as Trump pointed out, that is a crime in and of itself.

19:14But it is possible that on the other side of this, that there is an optics issue. These people are all going crazy and the Nazis and all that stuff. So Jessica Tarlov, who is sort of the token lefty over at Fox, I think I've done a show or two with her over the years. She was on The Five and Greg Gutfeld just smacked her down about this optics stuff. Watch. Wall says go away. Mayor Fry says go away. Tina Smith says go away. That doesn't matter to the president because they bat for the wrong team, but because he wants to help Susan Collins and he knows what a loser of an issue this is for the administration, he makes sure to protect her.

19:49And that's borne out across the board. You want everyone makes money. You want to go to the polling. The new Quinnipiac poll today. Absolutely brutal for the administration on this. Would you not admit the primary error was never cooperating with ICE and that led to the environment for college. You can argue about what ICE agents said or texted. That would never have happened if you hadn't played by the rules. That woman didn't do anything with them. So none of this means, again, what you're doing means nothing. And you told me it's a big hoax about the woman on her way to her doctor's appointment.

20:17She also testified. Turned out that wasn't a hoax either. Again, she is. She was a hardcore radical. She was trying to block us. On her, yes. You can argue over these things all you want. The fact is, you have to come to Jesus and say, if you guys hadn't, if you hadn't cooperated, we wouldn't even be doing this. there'd be two people alive if it wasn't for the fact that you guys wanted them dead. Godfeld, exclamation point, the number one host in late night television. Yes, you are completely right. She can, she can, Trump just doesn't like Fry and he doesn't like Walls and we can nitpick about every little instance that has occurred over the last three weeks.

20:57But the real issue is what Greg is pointing out. If a month ago, before all hell broke loose here, If a month ago, Fry and Walls and all the Democrats of Minnesota had just been like, all right, ICE is going in, guys. And it is true. We have about 90 ,000 illegals in this city. And it's a city of, I think we said it's about, it's a city of about 460, 470 ,000 people. That's about 20 % of the population is illegal. That is completely psychotic. That is not sustainable. That is not what anyone in Minnesota who is a legal law-abiding citizen voted for, except the most psychotic radical leftist. And none of this would be happening.

21:36We'd be talking about a whole series of other things, as Gutfeld points out, if they had just allowed them to cooperate. But instead they ginned up the base. They got these radical lunatics out there to park their cars in the middle of the street and throw garbage cans into the middle and light things on fire and throw ice and put mattresses there. And subsequently you get all of this. But now let's even go further when it comes to sort of how the radicalness of the cable news pundits on the left is leading to the craziness. This one is absolutely wild. So here's this guy we've shown you a couple of times, Bakari Sellers, kind of generic lefty pundit.

22:11Okay, here he is explaining to Scott Jennings that he would advise someone to get themselves involved if there's an active law enforcement situation and you don't like what's happening. Would you advise someone, even if they're very angry, even if they don't like the laws, to insert themselves into the middle of an active law enforcement situation? If they see something wrong, absolutely. You would advise a person or a client of yours to literally engage in the middle of an active law enforcement matter? If they see something wrong, I would say yes. I would say definitely put your... That's a crime.

22:45I would say put your... I was ready with... I was ready with filming with a phone. You're advising people to commit crimes? Do not hit officers. Do not spit on officers. But yes, by all means, If you see something wrong, videotape it. You see how he backtracked right there at the end? First, he was get involved. Then by the end, when Scott basically pointed out that's illegal and Bakari apparently is a lawyer. Imagine a lawyer saying, oh, there's a situation over there. You're an anti-ice activist and there's ice going to get somebody. You should get yourself involved. That's more than just videotaping it.

23:19OK, you want to videotape it? Sure. That was not what he was saying. He started backtracking when Scott clearly pointed that out. That guy's a lawyer. Let me just say this. If you've got Bakari Sellers on retainer, there's got Morgan & Morgan. I don't know. Find another lawyer somewhere. Watch Boston Legal's pretty decent show with William Shatner years ago. I don't know if it was a real law firm, but see what they're doing. Here's a bit more from Scott. The last thing is, and this is what frustrates me about people saying that all of a sudden Donald Trump's taking a softer tone or whatever it may be.

23:52The facts are this. Only 5 % of the people that they have deported thus far are violent criminal offenders. 73 % of the individuals have no criminal record. You can shake your head. It's from the Cato Institute. It's false. It's false. The Cato Institute is false? The federal government, the Department of Homeland Security, has repeatedly published data showing that 70 % of the people that have been deported had other criminal records. They have said this on the record time and again. I don't know about the Cato Institute. Here's the thing, though. The thing is that you take whatever DHS says as truth, as the Bible.

24:24They published the list. Yes, but that doesn't mean anything, Scott. These are the same people who told the just just just today, 4000 people. They put out the list in Minnesota have been taken off the streets. Criminals, violent rapists, murderers, pedophiles, people who've done very, very bad things. First off, Anna Navarro, look at her with her bad bunny sweatshirt. You're such a badass. Like she's so absolutely grotesque. And OK, she doesn't trust the government now. Remember, if it was the Biden administration, she'd be all about it. But let's OK, so you have to pick who to trust. That is true.

Read the full transcript

24:56You do have to pick who to trust. Do you trust the Department of Homeland Security that has to actually verify numbers, right? Or do you trust the Cato Institute or anything else? Well, here, we'll give you some stats and you can just trust them or not, but I'll tell you where the stats are coming from and you can do research on your own. And this actually completely backs up Scott Channing, no surprise, from the DHS itself. DHS reports over 670 ,000 removals, deportations since January of 2025, with 70 % of ICE arrests involving individuals convicted or charged with U.S. crimes. That is exactly what Scott said there.

25:30Okay, now we've got some stats from Customs and Border Protection. U.S. Border Patrol arrested 17 ,048 criminal non-citizens in 2025, 8 ,814 of total arrests with prior convictions. That's roughly 50%. Stats from factcheck.org, 36.5 % of ICE arrests had prior or non-violent convictions. Okay, it's still a conviction. Stats from track immigration reports, only 5 % to 8 % of ICE detainees had violent convictions, assaults and homicides are the top violent categories. The point of all of this, the key word is violent. Why do you not care about any of the young women who are being raped, beaten, murdered?

26:25I dare you, Anna Navarro, tomorrow on that show, just say something about Lake and Riley. I dare you, but you can't and you won't. And one day, if you guys win, the country will be filled with people who would gladly murder someone like you. And I know that you live in a super elite exclusive area and you're married to a guy with a gajillion dollars in the safety of Florida, but it could even come here and it will be on your head. Was I clear enough about my feelings on that? I was. Okay. So let's shift altogether. The other thing that's going on right now, obviously, is that we had this 3 million document dump of the Epstein files.

27:09I have not read all 3 million documents. You know what I mean? I'm out there. I played basketball last night. I took the dog on a walk this morning. I'm trying to keep up as much as I can, but there's just a lot coming out. And most of it, as I pointed to yesterday, seems to point to Democrats or at least Democrat aligned donors and figures. The one who I, my sense is if someone is gonna get scalped here, it's gonna be Bill Gates. I don't think it'll be Bill Clinton. I think it'll be Bill Gates, but it will be someone named Bill. And one of the things that Bill Gates has now been accused of, and we played the video yesterday where his wife basically admits it, is that Bill Gates apparently got an STD from one of the Epstein girls.

27:51That doesn't mean it was an underage girl. I don't know that we have evidence of that specifically, but apparently went there, got an STD from somebody, then asked Jeffrey Epstein what medication he could get so that he could basically secretly give it to his wife, which that I think is a criminal offense in and of itself. So he could be in some hot water here. Anyway, he is doing a little press, which is kind of surprising because these guys usually cut and run. Here he is on Nine News talking to Charles Croucher about, well, his argument is some of these emails actually were never even sent.

28:22There are things that Epstein sent to himself. Take a look. You've no doubt seen the allegations, including some of them, in the last 24 to 48 hours. Are they true? No. Apparently, Jeffrey wrote an email to himself. That email was never sent. The email is, you know, false. So I don't know what his thinking was there. You know, was he trying to attack me in some way? But you know it just reminds me you know every minute I spent with him I I regret and I you know Apologize that I did that the problem is some of the things that he has sent some of the information about other people That has come up in those files has been true Why would he do this and say this about you do you think?

29:09You know it's factually true that I was only at dinners, you know, I never went to the island I never met any women and so you know the more that comes out the more clear it'll be that although the time was a mistake, it had nothing to do with that kind of behavior. Is it frustrating to you, given what you've said, that this is now happening? Not really. I mean, people should, you know, hold people who are successful to a very high bar. Right. So there's a couple of interesting things here. First off, let me just say, I have no more insight into any of this than you do. It's as simple as that, right?

29:46I don't. Now, first off, why is he doing any press about this right now? It just seems a little bit odd. You would think that he's got a team of like a thousand lawyers like, Bill, shut up. But okay, he's doing it. I guess we'll give him credit for talking about that. He does say there very specifically that he never went to the island. Now, if he was ever on the island, there's going to be some evidence of it through flight logs or photos or something. But he clearly said he's never been to the island and he never did anything with these girls. He just went to dinners with this guy. I have no idea.

30:19I don't know. Maybe it's true. Maybe it isn't. Why did he then ask Jeffrey Epstein to get some stuff so that his wife wouldn't get an STD from apparently somebody he had sex with? I mean, this is just where it's like we are going to need hardcore internet sleuths. But my general feeling on this is we're never going to figure out the full story, but someone's going to pay the price. And it does seem to be aimed at him. Here are the ladies of The View, and they are turning on Bill, apparently. I know nothing. I did nothing. Well, Melinda said that Bill needs to answer to questions about these allegations.

30:56As we keep saying, they all need to answer about these allegations. And do you think his denials in the interview are enough? No, I mean, you know, people can read what the Department of Justice itself released in terms of the Epstein files and Bill Gates. It's written right in the emails, and I do think that he needs to answer to it. I like when they say, I was not on the island, as if that's the only place any of this stuff could happen. Yeah, his homes, they were spooky. Everyone describes them, including Melinda Gates, as I regretted it from the second I stepped in the door when she met Epstein.

31:31He was abhorrent. He was evil personified. I had nightmares about it after. All right, so again, I don't know what any of this is true, and Melinda Gates, like, did you say that to Bill? what was the nature of your relationship? Did you walk in, go, this is spooky, I have to leave? Or did you stay for dinner? And like, were there people there? I don't know. Now the crazy part of this, I mean, we just fact-checked this. You want to hear something crazy. Are you sitting comfortably in your chair right now? Are you on the couch? You got a nice, you got that, what do they call it? That cloud couch from Restoration Hardware where you can really sink in?

32:02Because you might fall off your seat right now. Whoopi Goldberg is mentioned in the Epstein files 21 times. And I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with Ghost or what was the Nun movie? Sister Act. Thank you. Thank you. And Alyssa Farah, the pet Republican there who they give a cookie to on Fridays. She's mentioned 20 times. I'm not saying they did anything. I have no freaking clue. But once there's, what I'm saying is there's something about some of this that feels a little Me Too-y to me. Once we start grabbing people and we don't have actual full hardcore evidence, which of course, if there's hardcore evidence that someone did something illegal or illicit or knew what was going on and blah, blah, you go for them.

32:48But once we start going with some of this, well, that person's in this email and this person's on that thing. By the way, there's a lot of evidence that the KGB probably had something to do with this. So there's probably multiple layers of confusing people with emails. It's just so, it just, something's rotten in Stinktown, but in Stinktown, apparently Whoopi and Alyssa Farah had been there a couple of times. Anyway, Caitlin Ellen Collins, who's a Democrat activist pretending to be a reporter over at CNN, she was in the Oval Office. And as Trump was wrapping up her press conference on something else, she started asking about, Epstein, take a look.

33:18What would you say to people who feel like they haven't gotten justice, Mr. President? Something that people care about. Yeah, what did you say going to CNN? What would you say to the survivors who feel like they haven't gotten justice? You are the worst reporter. No wonder CNN has no ratings because of people like you. You know, she's a young woman. I don't think I've ever seen you smile. I've known you for 10 years. I don't think I've ever seen a smile on your face. Well, I'm asking you about survivors of justice. You know why you're not smiling? Because you know you're not telling the truth.

33:43And you're a very dishonest organization, and they should be ashamed of you. All right, so that's old school Trump just throwing it back in her face, and she never smiles and blah, blah, blah. And you might go, but wait a minute, that's a legitimate question that she's asking. You know, could he address some of this stuff? However, listen to this from Grok. Based on extensive searches of CNN transcripts and news archives, Caitlin Collins did not interview any Jeffrey Epstein victims in 21, 22, 23, or 24. Her first such interviews appear in 25. Guys, when I keep telling you that the thing that is the obvious part of this, that you must see, the fact that for four years when the Democrats controlled everything, they did nothing with this stuff.

34:30Then a few months ago, they thought it would point to Trump. So they were going all about it. Now Trump has released it and it's mostly pointing to them. That's the part that, that Caitlin Collins did not care, did not care. I'm doing the double white supremacy thing right here. Did not care about this at all. Then magically Trump becomes president and suddenly she's doing interviews. She's asking questions. That's how you bust through the narrative. If you want a little heuristic to bust through the mainstream narrative all the time, what don't they talk about when you're talking about it and what do they talk about when suddenly it seems like nothing's there.

35:05That's a good heuristic. And you know, the other part of the culture wars that I'm always talking about in politics is downstream from culture is that, you know, we talked about the Grammys earlier in the week. I'm not going to do any more on that right now. But so many of these, the actors and the musicians and all of these people, could they just shut up, shut up and dribble as they say, just do what your job is. Stop getting involved in politics because then they start ruining everything. So a guy who's ruined everything is Robert De Niro. I talk about him all the time because he's become a completely Trump deranged, absolute lunatic and just a hysterical bitch who's like the complete reverse of every character he ever played in a mafia movie.

35:42But one of the guys that he was in, he was in three, well, let's see, there were two of them were great. The third one was terrible. The Fockers movie. So meet the parents, meet the Fockers and then meet the little Fockers, which, oh, good God, did you see that? But anyway, meet the parents is almost a perfect comedy movie. Meet the Fockers is great. Ben Stiller, I'm talking about. But Ben Stiller, he doesn't tweet about politics. And then just saw that moment. And he decided to tweet this. Shout out to Caitlin Collins. Grateful for journalists committed to the truth. And it's like, dude, I looked at your Twitter feed.

36:11You tweet about basketball all the time. Literally, his avatar is a basketball player. He just live tweets New York Knicks games. But for some reason, wants you to know that he really supports Caitlin Collins, a woman who didn't care about the Epstein files for four years under Joe Biden, but suddenly does. Anyway, let's flashback. If you want to further my theory here, that when they could have released things, they didn't, and they actually went out of their way to deny the Epstein files meant anything. Well, here's CNN in 2021. So just the whole idea of the Epstein list. It's so ridiculous.

36:50Yes. I mean, last year, early in 2024, court documents were released where there were names. of associates of Jeffrey Epstein. Donald Trump was mentioned in that. Zero accusation of any wrongdoing whatsoever, just that he knew him. For years, there have been fake flight logs of Jeffrey Epstein that grow in size and new names are added. So what has imagined, what has sort of become of this list, the lore of the list, really, is that in one tidy list, there are all the bad people who went to Epstein's island, did all the bad things, abused women, young women, and so forth. There's no there there, and they're disappointing the conspiracy-minded people.

37:32It doesn't actually matter what it is in reality. I mean, what is most important, though, is what people in the MAGAverse imagine what this list is to be, right? And this, they imagine, is a list of all the bad people, all the bad people who went to Epstein's island. Guys, how freaking wild is this? And that's why they don't want a free internet, because they don't want you looking back on that. So when they had all the power to release everything, they were telling you it was completely fabricated. Three quotes right there from Anderson Cooper. It's completely ridiculous. The flight logs are fake and there's no there there.

38:06How did he know? How did he know any of those things? Now, Trump releases it once he's back in office. You guys, in essence, you forced him to release it, right? Because you kept going crazy about it. He finally releases it. Again, there's no smoking gun as it relates to Donald Trump. and Donald Trump kicked the guy and banned him from Mar-a-Lago about 15 years ago. And suddenly you guys are all about it again. I'm gonna meditate on that. But let's talk about noble gold before I do the meditation. Guys, gold has officially gone mainstream. Every day, more and more Americans are discovering the power of gold.

38:40But how do you actually take advantage of it and invest in a simple way? Well, that's where Noble Gold Investments comes in. 39:10Visit DaveRubinGold.com today to claim your free wealth protection kit. That's DaveRubinGold.com. Let's shift again. We're bouncing around today. Now we'll talk about a little inside politics stuff. Utah Senator Mike Lee, I've had him on the show a couple of times. I like this guy a lot. He's very libertarian leaning, but a big Trump supporter. I think he gets a little bit of the, where a lot of libertarians don't seem to understand peace through strength. I think he's a little bit better on that. Also, the guy shaved his head out of nowhere and then suddenly became bad at. He had a funny comb over for a while, shaved his head, became much more hardcore.

39:47Or anyway, here he is saying that the House, now he's a senator, but here he is saying that the House will pass the SAVE Act, which is the, you have to have an ID to vote in our elections act soon. Brief update on the SAVE Act. This has been a huge day, great development. We've added more co-sponsors and we've now got Senator Thune, the Senate majority leader, indicating that we'll be bringing it up for a vote. So Chip Roy and I, who introduced the SAVE Act for the first time two years ago, are retrofitting the SAVE Act to add in the voter ID requirement, something that we had originally included in what we were going to propose.

40:29We're adding it back in. We're gonna file that and get this thing ready for a vote. All right, let's get Senator Lee back on the show. So he's a senator, obviously, and Chipproy, a congressman from Texas, but it sounds like they are going to get it to a vote. And again, all it is, it's just, I keep everything is just low. Republicans are asking so little. Could we not burn down the cities? Could we not allow rapists to run around? Could we make sure that you are who you are when you vote? They're asking for the lowest common denominator stuff, like bottom of the barrel stuff. And the Democrats just won't do it.

40:59Here's Schumer explaining that the SAVE Act, if we ask people to have identification to vote, it will basically bring back Jim Crow. We've got to get this done and we've got to get it done very quickly. The SAVE Act is an abomination. It's Jim Crow 2.0 across the country. We are going to do everything we can to stop it. Okay, so the SAVE Act is Jim Crow 2.0 and it's an abomination. Well, allow me to read to you. I'm a simple man. I'll read you a simple definition of the Jim Crow Act. Jim Crow was a system of state and local laws and social practices in the United States that enforced racial segregation and discrimination against black Americans, primarily in the South, from the late 19th century through the mid-20th century.

41:46It denied black Americans equal access to public facilities, political rights, and economic opportunities. The SAVE Act says that you just have to prove who you are so that you can vote. Do you see what these people are doing? Chuck Schumer is a racist. He's a racist. He's an activist. He's a buffoon. If you're a journalist and you are in DC and you see Chuck Schumer at lunch, why don't you walk up to him and ask him, Chuck, you just said that the Save Act is an Abomination and it's Jim Crow 2.0. Can you tell me what Jim Crow was? Here's a good question. Can you tell me what Jim Crow was? And now relate that to the Save Act.

42:35He just says crazy things. Asking people for ID to vote, unless their position seems to be that black people don't know how to get an ID. I was on a plane to El Salvador last week and much like almost all the flights that I've been on lately, I've seen black people on, I see black people. I'm like, what's his name from that movie? What was it? I See Dead People? No, not Richard Pryor, thank you. The kid from the movie, little Haley Joel Osment. I See Dead People. I go on planes, I see black people. It's incredible what's going on here. Anywho, yeah, what was the movie? Sixth Sense. Thank you, thank you.

43:10Anyway, as hysterical as, we should do a meme about that. It's just me, I See Black People. It's incredible. I see a black people. Anywhere that white people are, I often see black people. It's freaking amazing. Anyway, you know this Harry Endon guy is this like hyper like Adderall dork on CNN who's always reading numbers. Here he is saying that everybody, it doesn't matter what color you are, everyone is for IDs to vote. Take a look here. Favorite photo ID to vote. 85 % of white people favorite. 82 % of Latino. 76 % of black Americans favorite. So the bottom line is this. Voter ID is not controversial in this country.

43:48A photo ID to vote is not controversial in this country. It is not controversial by party and it is not controversial by race. The vast majority of Americans agree with Nicki Minaj that, in fact, you should have a photo ID to be able to. Pass the vote about Americans agree with Nicki Minaj. I'm a dork and I have a calculator. OK, whatever. It doesn't even matter with him. But like, think about that. So you're telling me, Chuck, you got Chuck Schumer telling you that this is going to bring back Jim Crow. so we're gonna have segregation again. And 76 % of black voters apparently are for that. Thank God I can see black people because I got a lot of questions for them.

44:25What were the other two numbers? Scroll back for me for a sec. So 76 % of black voters, 85 % of white voters, freaking white supremacists, always trying to make sure that black people can vote. And 82 % of Latino voters who were supposed to hate Donald Trump because something, something, something. We came up with this this morning. I think this illustrates it perfectly. And I put it on, it's on Twitter, so you guys can grab it if you want it. Don't let Republicans cheat. Demand voter IDs. It's a perfect flip of everything that they're putting out there. They are claiming Republic. What their argument is, is that if we know who is voting, there will be Republicans stealing elections.

44:59Do you, like, it's so profoundly insane that we should come up with a word for it. I would like to make up a new word. I'm open to suggestions. Joseph is at the computer on Locals if you want to send us some options for that. Let's flashback 23 years ago. There was a young man with quite a hairline. His name was Joe Scarborough. And here he was very concerned that illegals might start voting. We look at the left coast's most endangered politician, Governor Gray Davis, and his Democratic Party's latest attempts to show illegal aliens that crime pays. The Democratic legislature has actually passed a bill out of committee that allows illegal immigrants to get a California's driver's license.

45:46That's right. And by giving these criminals the most accepted form of identification in America, the California Democrats buy votes for themselves, and it looks like, to me at least, that political gamemanship is trumping national security. As illegal immigrants are given a free pass, this plan seems to me to legitimize illegal immigration once and for all. and it's dangerous and it owes more to winning votes for politicians than keeping our country safe from future terror attacks. It's frightening, folks. You know what's crazy? I always tell you that Republicans now, Donald Trump now, his policies in 2026 are basically moderate Democrat positions from 20 years ago.

46:28Joe Scarborough right there, who basically just laid out Donald Trump policy, he was a Republican back then, actually. So he was on MSNBC, but he was kind of the token Republican back then, but he was making, he's had, that's why it's so interesting when people evolve the wrong way. Like, how is it, Joe Scarborough, you're a Republican on lefty MSNBC 23 years ago, making full sense that Cali is completely out of control with this voter ID stuff, the legals are trying to get here and to vote, blah, blah, blah. It's gonna scale through the entire country. Now it's 23 years later and you're taking the reverse position on that.

47:03It's, well, I guess cha-ching. Cha-ching, I think, is the answer. There was a guy by the name of Barack Hussein Obama. He was a president in this country for eight years and, you know, had nice teeth and, you know, his wife looked like a cloner from Camino, but whatever. In 2012, he was asked to show an ID to vote. What do you mean it's an ID? Oh, he's better to write. Hold on a second. I got my brother's license. Okay. Here you go. I'm telling you guys, I see black people. I just saw a black guy have to show an ID. Not only do I see black people, black people apparently have IDs. That video right there blows up everything.

47:44Black people exist. Black people have IDs. You people are, and it's a joke to them. It's a joke because of course someone walks in, even the president of the United States walks. You know, one time, remember where were we headed? It was taking the whole team somewhere on a trip and I literally forgot my wallet. And I'm at TSA and I'm trying to get through and obviously all these guys know me, but then other people knew me. Fans were walking by going, hey Dave, how you doing? Love the show, blah, blah, blah. And I'm trying to get through TSA. I'm like, all these people know me. Would you just let me in?

48:13And they wouldn't let me in. But had they let me in, it would have been ridiculous, right? Because you can't just say who you are, right? Even if you're the president of the United States, you gotta show your freaking ID. And he busted it out, which is why he was walking around with his wallet. Now let's do a totally positive story altogether, a different thing. But this is just wonderful because a whole bunch of people got fired. And they're journalists, quote unquote. And there's no set of people that deserve to get fired more than a bunch of quote unquote journalists. Listen to this from CNBC.

48:42The Washington Post has begun widespread layoffs on Wednesday that will drastically shrink the size of the storied newspaper, affecting all departments, according to a recording of the call shared with Reuters. All departments are impacted. Politics and government will remain our largest desk and will remain central to our engagement and subscriber growth. Murray said in the call, we will be closing the sports department in its current form. The newspaper owned by Amazon.com founder Jeff Bezos had offered voluntary separation packages to employees across all functions in 2023 amid losses of 100 million bucks.

49:16If Jeff Bezos is no longer willing to invest in the mission that has defined this paper for generations and served the millions who depend on Post journalism, then the Post deserves a steward that will, Washington Post Guild said on X. Look, at some level, I don't celebrate somebody losing their job. Okay, fine. But no one deserves a job. Do you think Jeff Bezos bought the Washington Post to lose$100 million a year? Obviously not. The Washington Post is full of propaganda. It is full of Democrat-run activism. It is one of the main places of anonymous source told me this that allows the machine to continue to lie.

49:55And I saw all, so it was about 300 of these people were laid off and I saw so many of them out there and they were so angry. And now they're saying that they're gonna cancel their Amazon Prime. And it's like, all right, you got fired and now you don't want a toothbrush delivered to your house at 3 a.m. I don't see the connection, but okay, that's fine if that's what you want. But it's like, if you guys, what are you worried about? They're all, you know, we do such important work. They do such, okay, well then someone will hire you. I would imagine someone will hire you. I offered this morning on Twitter, I'm willing to hire one of them to pick up Clyde's shit.

50:25I'm so sick of, I walk the dog. I walk the dog. All you have to do, I will pay you. I'll do it 50 bucks an hour. 50 bucks an hour. I walk him for about an hour a day. 50 bucks a day, what's 50 times 30? We can do the math. I mean, and I'll throw in, I don't know, throw in some health insurance or something. All you do is walk behind me. You can't talk to me or look at me. You have to walk five steps behind me. It's$1 ,500 a month and you have to pick up Clyde's poop. And without a bag though, you just have to pick it up with your hand and hold it. Nancy Pelosi is very upset that the journalists over at Washington Post have been laid off.

50:57A free press cannot fulfill its mission if it is starved of its resources it needs to survive. And when the newsrooms are weakened, our republic is weakened with it. Because democracy, because democracy dies in darkness.

51:22Are we all ready to say that together? Democracy dies in darkness. Democracy dies in darkness. What? Oh, we just had a great idea for something. Okay, we'll do that later. Democracy dies in darkness and the lights should have just cut out right there. It's like, lady, they don't do journalism over there. That's the thing. And by the way, again, if any of these 300 people are doing great work, they'll find a job elsewhere, right? And Nancy, you've got hundreds of millions of dollars. Why don't you throw five mil, create a website? GoDaddy, can you make a site on GoDaddy? Jump over to GoDaddy, nancypelosinews.net, and hire these people.

52:03They're so valuable. But the point is, and I thought this was perfect. This is just from a random X account, EricaC47. But I think it illustrates what's going on here. Like Washington Post, what have you been doing? Well, you push the very fine people hoax. We know that. You push the Steele dossier, Russiagate, you push COVID origins, you push Trump, Georgia call that Trump was trying to steal the election in Georgia, that Tulsi Gabbard false hit piece not too long ago, that Hegseth was committing war crimes. It's like, they don't deserve, they don't deserve it. It's like the New York Times. It used to be all the news that's fit to print.

52:33That's what it says on the thing, on the masthead over there. And it's actually all the propaganda that a parrot shouldn't have to shit on it in his cage, liner in his cage. Dave Marcus, who's a buddy of mine, he's a Fox columnist. We haven't had him on the show. We should, we'll get him on. He wrote this, I never celebrate people getting laid off, but it's telling that the Washington Post is firing a third of its staff while the New York Post is launching a new California edition. It turns out that telling the truth pays off. And isn't that right? You know, New York Post has really become, it's funny, when I grew up in New York and the New York Post, I used to get it for a quarter going down to the subway.

53:05And it was one of, it's like a great, it was one of my great joys of living in New York. There was something about like having a cup of coffee on the subway and reading the paper and flipping through it. Something about it, the tactileness or something that was just great, but it was thought of as more of a tabloid, you know, like sort of a sensationalist newspaper, you know, where the serious people read the New York Times and the Washington Post, or Washington Wall Street Journal. And yet the New York Post, not only did they get the Hunter Biden laptop story right, they've gotten an awful lot right.

53:34And they have been way closer when it comes to true reporting than anything Washington Post has done. But again, I wish you guys luck. So 300 of you are out of a job. I suppose you could learn to code. My offer to pick up Clyde's Poop sans bag does exist. And I am sure there is a billionaire out there who would love to pay you for your very valuable stuff. So I wish you luck. Let's talk about lean and then we'll get to some locals community Q &A questions. Everyone's talking about weight loss injections because the results can be dramatic. They work by lowering blood sugar and reducing appetite.

54:02But what if you wanna lose weight and don't want painful weekly injections or the risk of serious side effects? That's why doctors created a weight loss supplement called Lean, and the numbers are impressive. The studied ingredients in Lean help lower blood sugar, burn fat by turning it into energy, and reduce appetites and cravings so you'll naturally eat less. Lean isn't for someone trying to lose just a few pounds. It was created for frustrated dieters who have 10 pounds or more to lose. Get started today with 20 % off and free rush shipping. When you add Lean to your healthy diet and exercise plan, visit TakeLean.com and enter code Ruben at checkout.

54:36out that's promo code Ruben at TakeLean.com. All right, here we go. If you want to get some questions in on the fly or comment or criticize, or if you're a Washington Post journalist and you're watching today and you want to get the job, Joseph's right over there. Brian says, Dave, here's a more potentially political question. The news permits, what are your game day food plans for the Super Bowl on Sunday? You know, I don't, I was playing basketball last night. A couple of guys started talking about the Super Bowl. I just, it hasn't even lodged in my brain yet. We've been so busy here. So yes, we will do something.

55:08I'm not totally sure yet, but I know for sure, I think we've got an image of it, what we will be eating. Because I mentioned David's website, he's an incredible chef and he has launched a website that we are working on a cookbook for. It's called theonlyfood.com. The whole idea of it is it's the only recipes you'll ever need. So it's one great recipe for things. So if you want non-fried wings, and I'm telling you, these are killer. They're baked, but they are killer wings. You can get the recipe on theonlyfood.com and obviously his chicken parm's on there and he's just a spectacular chef. So we will be eating wings.

55:42You know what? I'm going to make a commitment. I've been crushing myself over here with the workout and the food stuff. I will have some beer. I will have some beer. I will have a nice IPA, a nice crisp IPA for the Super Bowl and we'll figure out what we're going to do. Yes, Dave's going to have a beer. They're all very excited over there. A chipster says, apparently the SAVE Act would require a birth certificate or a passport to get on the voter rolls. Then you show a state issue ID or a driver's license to actually vote. I don't see how this would be a problem for legal citizens. Well, it wouldn't, right?

56:19Like, that's the thing. When they tell you it's Jim Crow, black people can't use those water fountains. You have to show an ID to vote. These things are completely disconnected. There's no connection between these things. And that's the absurdity. And again, if you're out there and you're a journalist, get in Chuck Schumer's face. Don't hit him. Don't spit on him. Don't throw ice at him. Let's not be them. But say, Chuck, can you in three sentences tell me what Jim Crow is? Let him explain it. And then let him, okay, now can you explain the SAVAC? And you tell me how those things are connected.

56:53It is lowest common denominator. I don't know how many times I have to say it. If we cannot do that, we cannot function at all. It's why when Trump 10 years ago said, you either have a country or you don't, he was right. Like you either have borders or you don't, you either know who's here or you don't. And the Democrats don't want us to know who's here. And it's up to you to figure out why. I think it's fairly obvious. Web Metalworks says, I don't get how you do it. Every day, the left media is constantly, is constant with just crap to complain and lie about. I don't get how you continue to cover them daily and not have this exhausted vibes, your presence?

57:26Will your optimistic energy ever stop? You know, I always tell you guys, I consider myself a world-weary optimist. I'm definitely an optimist. Like I believe that the world can get better and there is simply no way I could do this for a living if I didn't think so. If I didn't think, boy, to whatever extent on the margins, I can help people understand some of this stuff or hopefully laugh about some of this stuff or understand it or digest it in like a more simple way and a less painful way and a less hateful way. I just couldn't do this, right? I couldn't do this. I would find something else to do, right?

57:57I always say I would have tried harder to be in the NBA, but here we are. It does get exhausting at times. You know, I would say, you know, it's not really the news to me that's exhausting. Like there's always good stuff and bad stuff in the news. And, you know, particularly this year, there's been so much good stuff on the Trump side to report on that's been nice. But yeah, is there bad stuff all the time? And can it be exhausting? Yes. But that's not the exhausting part for me. To be as frank as I can possibly be, the exhausting part for me over the last two years maybe, but it's been exacerbated since Charlie died, is watching people that I really considered friends and people that I really respected, watching them go completely the wrong way and watching how their behavior on camera is completely different than their behavior off camera.

58:44Mine is not. This is it. this is exactly how I am off camera. What's the psychological notion when they turn a camera on, people change like 5%. There's like a psychological theory on that. So there is some element, right? I'm talking to a camera. It's a little bit different than how I would be if I wasn't, but this is who I am. It's called the surveillance effect, yeah. That if a camera's on you, you just behave a little bit different. So I acknowledge that that exists. but otherwise this is just who I am. Like it is what it is. You know, you like it, you don't like it. What am I gonna do? But when I've seen people and I don't even have to get into their names right now, but people who I've been associated with, people whose weddings I've been to, people who've been in my house for dinner and then I see the way they are so different suddenly or they just trash friendships and everything else.

59:36That's been exhausting for me in some sense but I didn't get into this for friendship and I'll have friends after so it's gonna be all right. EK and Izzy says, what are the boys' favorite activities? You know, we're doing so much outdoor stuff right now because we've had this cold snap for the last two weeks here, which for us right now, it's like 55 degrees out here, which in Miami is kind of cold. So we're putting on sweatshirts and David's out hiking with them right now with some friends. We've been doing as much outdoor stuff as possible. We have a great little hiking trail not too far from us.

1:00:06And there's a great show on Apple TV. It's based on a book, I think from the 70s or 80s called Frog and Toad. And they love Frog and Toad. it's a it's very like we don't do a lot of tv but it's like low stimulation it's just about this frog and toad and they have adventures with gopher and with you know some of their other friends and bird like you don't have to know too many names because it's pretty much lizard and bird and frog and toad and they just have these pleasant adventures they go fishing they go hiking you know they they were in a band one day that was a pretty good one um and and we pretend we're looking for frog and toad out there and we found where they live and you know so we're trying to to do with just as much outdoor stuff as possible.

1:00:45We also, in the backyard, the kids just started digging one day and we have grass in the yard and just because of the way things are in Florida with water and irrigation and storms, below about, I don't know, maybe three inches below our layer of grass, there's just a ton of sand. So we basically have a massive sand pit out there, which they're totally loving right now. Cool Mom says, the admin should do a Reagan style sit down. Oh, you're talking about the locals admin. should do a, or actually I'm not so sure. The admin should do, oh, sorry, the Trump administration. Okay, got it. The Trump administration should do a Reagan style sit down explaining US immigration history and ICE origins and why it's still needed.

1:01:27I'm just not sure Trump should do it. Maybe Vance or Rubio. Who do you think would do a good job and be listened to and taken seriously by both sides? What a great idea. You know, the presidents used to do fireside chats. They used to do the weekly radio address and things like that. we all know Trump's great at the bumper sticker stuff. He's great at setting the pace and, you know, throwing the bombs and then everyone chases it. But who would be great if you did 10 minute, you did PragerU style explainers on the history of ICE and immigration, things like, I mean, Rubio, JD could absolutely do it.

1:02:00Rubio, I also, I'm starting to think he has a little more crossover appeal lately. Like, I don't know, I get people hate Republicans no matter what, but I don't know how you could look at Marco Rubio and just be like, like this guy's horrible or awful. I mean, I know they can. I know they can. He'd probably be the best at it. I mean, who else could you have in the administration that some people on the other side might listen to? You could say Tulsi could do it, but now they hate her too. So it's tough. It's tough. Let's talk about Ghostbed for a minute. The bed that my mother-in-law just got.

1:02:31And then we'll have more questions on the other side. Have you ever felt what people are calling being micro-tired? It's the moment when things slow down and your brain tells you it's time for a nap, but of course, you don't have time. That constant low-level exhaustion usually comes down to one thing, sleep quality. That's why Ghostbed has been such a game-changer. Ghostbed makes some of the most incredible mattresses out there. They're award-winning with over 60 ,000 glowing reviews, and most importantly, people consistently say they've never slept better. Ghostbed mattresses are designed with cooling features in every model.

1:03:04They actually sense your body temperature and adjust so you're never too hot or too cold. 1:03:34My mother-in-law, they just moved to Miami. We now have Nona here to help us with the kids and live the good life. She fled New York City. So a loss for Mom Dami is a win for Florida and for those who are sleeping in the ghost bed. Kelly says, good morning. No question today. I just want to let you know that I'm taking my husband to see Dr. Striano next week. I truly hope things go well. It's a bit more serious than joint pain, but want to thank you profusely for sharing him with us listeners. Hopefully I'll report good news. I'm so happy to hear that. So for those of you who don't remember, Dr.

1:04:05Striano is the stem cell doc. He does a bunch of other things. But the stem cell doc who completely fixed my knee, 15 tears in my knee. I kid you not. I thought I was never going to play basketball again. I heard every crack. It sounded like, I keep telling people, it sounded like I stepped on a bag of glass and popcorn. And I was back on the court in two months after doing stem cells with this guy, Joey, who's in there. Joey had some slip disc in his back. He did it. He's feeling great. We played ball for three hours last night. My mother-in-law actually had some back problems. She just went to Dr.

1:04:38Estriano. I've gotten so many emails from you guys. I think somebody emailed me from, I think it was Denmark, if I'm not mistaken, saying that they flew here to work with him. He is the best. Tony Robbins passed him along when I hurt my knee. And it's just amazing. And it's just so cool. How cool is it that in your body, you have medicine? You have stuff that can fix you as opposed to, oh, I blew out my knee, I've gotta get surgery immediately, or I have to take this medicine or that medicine. There is stuff in your body that wants to repair you. You know, stem cells obviously are seriously cutting edge stuff, but there's also PRP, platelet-rich plasma, where they take your blood, they spin it into centrifuge, and they can inject it back into you.

1:05:23And if you have shoulder pain or knee pain or whatever else, I've done it for my hair. Like there's incredible stuff inside you. I think Dr. Shriana does PRP as well, if I'm not mistaken. And he's in Stewart, Florida right now. So if you have anything, guys, I'm telling you, this is the guy. I just love him. He's great. All right, that's the show. Okay, you know, we tripped out of the gate. Thought it was yesterday. It is today, I can confirm that. And otherwise, I'm quite pleased. 9-9, we lost 0.5. That would give us a 9.4. I'll shave off 0.2, let's say. so we're at a 9192 what are you going to do?

1:06:02you got anything else to do this hour? I don't think so alright we got a post game show in 30 seconds rubenreport.locals.com adios
