In short
Dave Rubin reacts to a deadly Hanukkah shooting at Sydney’s Bondi Beach and connects it to immigration, “Islamism/jihadism,” and gun policy debates in Australia and the U.S. He also briefly covers the murders of Rob Reiner and his wife, and a Brown University shooting.
Guests
No guests appear in this transcript. Rubin references prior guests/clips, including Australian journalist Erin Moran (from last week) and earlier interviews with politicians (e.g., Tony Abbott, John Anderson), but they are not present as guests in this episode.
Guest backgrounds (referenced, not interviewed here): Erin Moran is an Australian journalist Rubin says he interviewed about immigration and violence in Australia.
Key claims
The attack was “anti-Semitic terrorism” by a father-and-son pair; Rubin argues ideology—not guns—drives violence. He claims Australia’s strict gun laws failed because police didn’t respond quickly, and he argues Australia has an “integration” problem tied to imported populations and second-generation radicalization. He criticizes Ilhan Omar, alleging immigration fraud and sympathy for Hamas, and says she smiled while discussing the attack.
Notable examples
Ahmed Al-Akhmed (described as a fruit stand owner who disarmed a terrorist); survivor testimony about rifle/pistol fire; viral images of female police officers allegedly not drawing guns; comparisons to Oct. 7 and to U.S. shootings (Brown University, church shootings, Chicago shootings).

You know, sometimes it looks great, but then you cook it and it just doesn't have that flavor or freshness you expect. So finding something reliable has made a huge difference. Wild Alaskan Company really changed that for me. It's the best way to receive high-quality, wild-caught seafood delivered right to your door on your schedule. The first box I got was super easy to use. Everything comes individually portioned and vacuum sealed, so there's no guesswork. I cooked that wild Alaskan sockeye salmon just in a pan with a little olive oil, salt, and pepper, and it turned out fantastic.
0:34Clean flavor, great texture, and didn't feel like frozen fish at all. I've also tried the wild Pacific cod, which I love. It's light and flaky and really easy to work in when you need a quick dinner. What stood out is that the fish is quick frozen right after it's caught in Alaska, so it locks in that freshness along with the nutrients like omega-3s, and it's clean. no GMOs, no antibiotics, no additives, and it supports sustainable fishing and Alaskan fishermen. They're so confident in the quality that there's 100 % satisfaction, money-back guarantee, so there's no risk in trying it. Go to wildalaskan.com slash Rubin for$35 off your first order of premium wild-caught seafood.

Previously on The Rubin, Trump is one of the most destructive presidents and human beings in my lifetime.
1:49The lizard has its testicles internally, which is why I'm pretty sure he's able to sit like this. I want to see trans kids. Dad is two-spirit, so just treat him, treat him accordingly. I didn't say nothing about them. I like people who talk like that.
2:26All right, guys. It is December 15th, 2025. I'm Dave Rubin. This is The Rubin Report. We are live streaming on Rumble, YouTube, and local. Share, subscribe, tap that notification bell if you have not. And I do have to warn you. Is this a trigger warning? Am I giving a trigger warning before a show? I'm a little under the weather. You can probably hear it in my voice. I'm super congested. I got a bit of a headache. I'm a little loopy right now. I just took some meds, which I try not to do. You are gonna have to bear with me during the program. There's obviously a ton to talk about, and I have no doubt that you already know what we're gonna cover up top, the absolute horrific, horrific terrorist attack that happened in Australia over the weekend, and we'll connect that to many other things happening on our shores here.
3:08And there's just like a lot of weirdness in the ether. I should note that we are live every day this week. I'm actually headed to DC tonight for the White House Hanukkah party tomorrow and I'm interviewing, how many interviews do we have? Like almost 20, right? We're doing like, we're, yeah, we're doing like 15, probably 10 or 15 minute interviews with every Senator and Congress person you can think of. I think we got one Democrat. Uh, everyone else is Republican, but we certainly did try. Uh, and then, uh, and then back and then we're, and then we're off for a little bit for the Christmas break.
3:38And I hope you guys will take a little time off the machines and all that good stuff. Although we do have some, some good content coming out for you before Before we dive into the Australia situation, though, there was another utter tragedy last night. I don't know what to make of it. I'm not going to spend too much time on it. But Rob Reiner, legendary Rob Reiner, I mean, meathead from all in the family and really known as director and actor. He and his wife were murdered in his house in Brentwood last night. Listen to this from NBC. Filmmaker Rob Reiner and his wife, Michelle Singer Reiner, were found dead in their Los Angeles home Sunday, according to a source close to the Reiner family.
4:15The source said the couple appeared to have died from stab wounds. Los Angeles police officials said Sunday they responded to a report of two deceased at Reiner's Brentwood home, but did not identify them. Police said a death investigation is underway. I mean, it's just, who knows what happened here? There's all sorts of rumors swirling around online, which I'm not gonna get into right now. But I thought just to do one thing to start off on this. Look, Reiner and I, let's say, politically, we're completely at odds. I mean, the guy was a far lefty. None of that matters at the end of the day. And I think when you meet your maker, he probably doesn't ask you about your politics.
4:49Maybe he asks you about your morality and your behavior and things like that. But I thought this was a really, really nice moment that maybe could set us up nicely for today about grace and compassion. Here is Rob Reiner on Piers Morgan Show after the assassination of Charlie Kirk. When you first heard about the murder of Charlie Kirk, what was your immediate gut reaction to it? Well, horror. Absolute horror. And I unfortunately saw the video of it. And it's beyond belief what happened to him. And that should never happen to anybody. I don't care what your political beliefs are. That's not acceptable.
5:37That's not a solution to solving problems. And I felt like what his wife said at the service, at the memorial they had, was exactly right. And totally, I believe, you know, I'm Jewish, but I believe in the teachings of Jesus. And I believe in doing to others. And I believe in forgiveness. And what she said to me was beautiful. Yeah. And I think that's just right. And actually, it's kind of deeply connected to everything else we're going to be talking about on the show today related to humanity and decency. And regardless of what your strict sense of belief is and all of those things, just quickly, you know, the guy's done some amazing things.
6:21Not only was he obviously his first acting gig really was all in the family, which anyone that's, I suppose if you're under 40, you don't even remember Archie Bunker and the rest of it. But for those of us a certain age, it was, it was an incredible, incredibly powerful show. But he directed amazing movies. I mean, when Harry met Sally and Princess Bride and Misery, I mean, his stuff was kind of all over the place. He was best at, I would say rom-coms, but I mean, Misery, which was a, you know, horror film off a Stephen King book. The guy was just incredible. So I'm also being told that I guess just in the last few minutes, it's broken that their son has been arrested.
6:52So it's just kind of terrible. Let's shift for a second, although I guess we're staying with sort of terrible stuff at the moment. Let's jump to what happened in Australia over the weekend. This from AP News. Two gunmen opened fire during a Hanukkah celebration on Sydney's Bondi Beach, killing 15 people, including a child. Officials said Monday in what Prime Minister Anthony Albanese called an act of anti-Semitic terrorism that struck at the heart of the nation. The shooters were father and son, authorities said. One gunman, a 50-year-old man, was fatally shot by police. The other shooter, his 24-year-old son, was wounded and being treated at a hospital, said Mal Lanyon, New South Wales police commissioner.
7:30Those killed were aged between 10 and 87 years old, New South Wales Premier Chris Minns told reporters. At least 42 others were being treated at hospitals on Monday morning, several of them in critical condition. I mean, this is, this is, you know, it's one of these things, there's nothing that's shocking anymore, right? So it's like, can you say this is, am I surprised by this? You know, we just spent basically two weeks in Australia. And I have to tell you that the amount of Palestinian flags that we saw, the amount of, you know, especially in Melbourne specifically, the amount of every corner, you know, these, these people trying to convert people to Islam and all this.
8:10The guys that did this, this father and son, apparently were Pakistani immigrants. Let's just pause on all that for just a second. Here is some video of the shooting. I mean, this is not easy to watch. And then it's very reminiscent of October 7th. Well, go.
8:39You're a police officer, there's...
8:46There's a police officer.
9:09You can find it online if you want. But once again, targeting Jews. That seems to now be baked into the code, but of course, what starts with Jews never ends with Jews. Jews are the canary in the coal mine. And if you think that, okay, if Australia just gets rid of its Jews, that the jihadists and all of the bad guys will be satiated, I think you're very mistaken. As a matter of fact, that's the appetizer for everybody else. Incredibly, here is a man. His name is Ahmed Al-Akhmed. He is a 43-year-old fruit stand owner, and he disarmed one of the terrorists.
10:15All right, so that man was shot twice. He's in the hospital right now. That's what a real hero is. You know, there were a lot of people saying because of his name, oh, see, this has nothing to do with Islam because it was two guys shooting up a Hanukkah thing and obviously from Pakistan and Muslims. So people were saying, obviously, maybe it has a little something to do with Islam. but here's this guy who comes in and his name sounds like he's Muslim. It turns out he's a Maronite Christian actually from Lebanon. And you can make of that what you will. I would say in the broader sense, all of this, it's like every Western society is now going to have to deal with this.
10:50You have imported people who do not believe in your societies. This has nothing to do with Israel. It has nothing to do with Palestine or Gaza or anything else. If Israel was gone, do you think these people would stop, right? If Palestine magically existed as a state for the first time, which has never existed, do you think this would all stop? Of course not. And even if you are completely, even if you have all of that stuff backwards and you think that there is some connection to all of these things, what does that have to do with killing random people in Australia, which is the world, it's half the world away from all of that.
11:24You're going to just kill literally a 10-year-old girl and an 87-year-old Holocaust survivor. A guy by the name of Dan Burmawi, who I think is an ex-Muslim author, he's quite good on X if you don't follow him, he wrote this. Today's Islamic terrorist attack was stopped by a human being who happened to be Muslim. Now, it turns out that this man is not Muslim. He's, as I said, he's a Lebanese Maronite. But the broader point, because so many people are confused here. Islam caused the attack and is responsible for Muslims opening fire on Jews. Islam did not cause the Muslim to stop it. humanity did.
11:55Don't get confused. I think it's an important point regardless. Now it turns out the guy who saved them was not Muslim, but it's humanity that saves people. The people that are yelling certain religious phrases and murdering people of other religions in cold blood because of their book, that really is the problem. Phoenix, I need you to scroll for me, please. Here is one of the survivors of the Bondi Beach terror attack talking about what happened. Can you tell me what happened?
12:51Look at that. And it's just rifle and a pistol. And just shoot. Shoot. Okay, so we're getting some stuff on the fly here. Now there is some confusion as to whether he was Muslim or a Maronite Christian, the man who saved. Again, it actually doesn't matter. When someone does something good like that, it is in the name of humanity. But where you can hear that man talking about it, again, that man was one of about a thousand people on the beach. And when you see all these other, I mean, there were thousands and thousands of people on the beach. I've been there. It's an incredibly gorgeous place in Sydney.
13:21And by the way, my guest on last week's show, if you did not see it, is Erin Moran, who's a brilliant journalist in Australia. And we talked about what was going on there in Australia when it came to immigration and violence and Islamism and jihadism and all that. We may try to throw a clip of that in today's show or working on something. But there was this strange thing that seemed to happen where the police did not fire back. And a lot of people are being very critical, partly because of these images here. What you're seeing are female police officers who not only did not have their guns drawn, but then in that case, you can see one hiding behind a police car or what appears to be just someone else's car.
14:03So there, and you can see the women look sort of shocked or whatever. Look, we can all do the hindsight is 20-20 on all of these things. But were they prepared for this sort of thing? Were they paying attention? And as you know, Australia has some of the strictest gun laws in the entire world. Listen to this from NWokeness. Matilda, 10 years old, has been ID'd as one of the 16 deaths at the Sydney Hanukkah attack. That is just a beautiful young girl who is now dead for no other reason than jihadists have been allowed into Australia. And I'm telling you, having been there, you know, we talked about it a bit when we got back.
14:38I didn't want to talk about it that much when I was there. there is an obvious Islamism, massive Islamism problem in that country. They don't know what to do. You know, America and Australia were basically the same size, physical geographic size. They're an island and a continent in the middle of nowhere. They've let all of these people in, usually legally. They don't have an illegal problem. They have a legal problem. Subsequent governments let in an awful lot of people. They haven't integrated properly. As I said, particularly when we were in Melbourne, every corner, basically, there were people trying to convert people to Islam.
15:10There were Palestine flags everywhere. It did not, we kept saying, I mean, the entire time we kept saying, where are the Australians? Where are the Australians? Anyway, Ilhan Omar, a woman who married her own brother for immigration fraud, who is very sympathetic to Hamas and other terrorist organizations and should not be a member of Congress. And I think they really should be looking at her immigration status altogether in that she committed immigration fraud. She was on one of the Sunday shows and asked about what happened in Australia. Note the smile right at the top. We are following these shootings in Australia and in Rhode Island.
15:48There was a shooting in your district not that long ago, a mass shooting. This is yet another bad day for America. Yeah, I mean, we are still recovering from the shooting at Enunciation Church. It is a tragedy that this has become a normal occurrence, not just in the United States, but now seeing it in Australia, who's worked really hard to create gun prevention laws to prevent the kind of tragedy that took place today. Thank you. All right. So to be clear, maybe we can grab it back for a second, but she literally smiled. We are following the... when he said, yeah, look at this. I mean, she's smiling when she's talking about the attack.
16:36Okay, this is someone who is for globalizing the Intifada. Globalizing the Intifada is killing as many Jews and who happens to be standing somewhere near a Jew as someone who happens to be standing near a Jew as possible. But let's leave that with her now. Of course, they wanna make this about guns. This is not about guns. A gun is a tool, just like a hammer is a tool. And you can take a hammer and you can bash someone across the head who's walking down the street for no reason, and that would be bad. And you can also use a hammer to hit a nail so that you can build a home. So this is not about the weapon or the tool.
17:10It is about an ideology and the people who believe in a certain ideology. Now, Australia has a huge ideological problem. This is a protest. This one's from Melbourne? Yes. Okay, so this is from Melbourne. The day after we left Melbourne, so we did my show there. We had to have all sorts of security measures that we normally wouldn't take in place, which we're doing post-Charlie anyway. But every week there, and this was after the ceasefire, by the way, every week there, they have 30 to 50 and sometimes more thousand Islamists, jihadists, what do you want to call these people running the streets of Melbourne?
17:46Take a look.
18:06So, you know, everybody there, when we could find people who actually seemed like they were real Australians in Melbourne specifically, they said that they take over the streets every, I think it was every Saturday, if I'm not mistaken. And they shut down businesses and people know that you just can't go out. You can't get cross town and everything else. What are those people doing in Australia? You care about Palestine so much, a country, by the way, which has never existed, designed in the minds of people who only want to destroy the countries that they live in. What are you doing in Australia?
18:34How about you move to Egypt or move to Jordan, which by the way, has a majority Palestinian population, which is an apartheid country under the Hashemite king of Jordan. Like you could do a little bit about that, but they've let all these people in and they don't know what to do. And this is consistent by the way, with what's going on in the UK and what's going on in France and many other countries. They do not know what to do about what is now a minority of people who are infecting the host country, trying to destroy it. I spoke to Erin Milan a couple of days ago. We were just able to grab the clip.
19:09And this is literally what we were talking about about five days ago. It's not about not being kind. It's not about not having empathy. It's about taking care of the people we have in this country and protecting them. I said this a couple of days ago or a couple of weeks ago, forgive me, something to the effect of, you know, if you bring people into your country who want to kill you, then you basically gift them the opportunity to come in, do that and destroy your entire livelihood. And it's what we're doing. So it's about bringing people in. Yes, we need to do it still, but so much less. Hundreds of thousands we're bringing in.
19:41We don't have the infrastructure. Even if you take culture aside and you take the kind of impact that it's having there completely out of it and you look at just from a logistical infrastructure you know point of view we are crippled all right so that's days before this thing uh you have her saying you don't import people who want to kill you there's about 150 000 jews left in australia and actually during my tour twice in the q a's because this sort of tension has existed with the Islamists who are now, well, they purport to be Australian, and I suppose by documentation they are, but I don't think they sort of spiritually are Australian.
20:22I twice was asked during Q &As whether the Jews of Australia have a future. We were able to grab the audio of that, which I'll be posting on social media later, but my basic answer was, look, you don't, and this is what I say about everything as it relates to Israel in general and all these things, you don't have to particularly care about the Jews, and you don't have to particularly care about Israel or any other country. But as an Australian, if you think, if they're able to get rid of those 150 ,000 Jews who have been part of a peaceful society and built hospitals and culture and arts and all of these things, if you think if they get rid of them, that Australia is going to still be Australia after, by the way, that's when they come for everybody else.
21:00So you might want a little bit of self-preservation here. But how prescient that just a few days ago, that's what we discussed with Aaron. Let's talk about Nobel gold for a minute. Well, more than I said.
21:12Oh, I'm sorry, we're live. Man, I'm not feeling great, guys. Just bear with me. Guys, gold has officially gone mainstream. Every day, more and more Americans are discovering the power of gold. That's DaveRubinGold.com. Noble Gold, helping you build a stronger future. Oh man, I'm getting the sweats now too. There's a lot going on here. Just bear with me, guys. I thought this image from CatTurd, who's a big X guy. I don't know how the name came to be, but I thought this was pretty perfect. And this went crazy viral. Look at that 15.2 million views by the time we grabbed it as of 701 this morning. One of these men was banned from Australia.
22:20And there you have the Pakistani immigrant. That's the son who, if I'm not mistaken, is dead. And then, of course, you have Novik Djokic, who was the tennis player, probably the best tennis player in the history of the world, who said he was not going to get the COVID vaccine. and he was banned from Australia. Australia welcomed that other guy and his father and they just murdered 12 people, untold amount injured and have now scarred the nation of Australia. So Australia is going to have to grapple with that. Charlie Kirk, who unfortunately is no longer with us, I would say in some sense, it's a different ideology that took out Charlie, but this red green alliance, whether it's the Trantifa, the sort of genderqueer people, the queers for Palestine on one hand, who are now aligning with these jihadists.
23:11And of course, that just means they get beheaded last. There is some touch point there. This is Charlie Kirk just months before he died talking about Islam and its compatibility, or I should say lack thereof, with the West. The question is, is macro-Islam compatible with Western values? Macro. Of course it's not. There are three major reasons why. Islam does not believe in freedom of speech. Islam does not believe in freedom of religion. And Islam does not believe in separation of mosque and state. Those three things are antithetical to the West. In a Muslim-majority country, you are not, most Muslim-majority countries, you cannot criticize the Prophet Muhammad.
Read the full transcript
23:47In most Muslim-majority countries, you do not have the same robust freedom of religion protections. And finally, whereas we in the West are very careful to try to intermix religion and state, They are commanded to actually go into the state and try to change the state to be more Islamic around the core pillars of Islam. And the last thing I'll finally say is I cannot see a single Western country that has become more Islamic and has become a better place to live that is happier or freer. By what metric? Just happiness? Everything from quality of life, from cultural cohesion. What metric you dolt, like move somewhere and see for yourself.
24:23But of course, everything Charlie said there was absolutely right. And the irony is these people then leave. The craziest part, and a lot of people in Australia did talk to us about this, is that the first generation immigrants from a lot of these Middle Eastern and African nations that would come to Australia, they integrated properly for the most part. And then it is the second generation, their kids who are not integrating properly and who are causing this chaos. I should note, I think I misspoke there. The father is actually dead. The son who is pictured right there, he's in the hospital right now.
24:54Now, there is video of the police literally resuscitating him. So that tells you about the goodness of Western culture versus the evilness of this backward stuff. You know, we've shown you this video a couple of times. It's from the great Christopher Hitchens, another guy who left us too soon, talking about radical Islam and how we have a probably small window to fight it back. And he's talking about it 20 years ago. This is very urgent business, ladies and gentlemen, I beseech you. Resist it while you still can, and before the right to complain is taken away from you, which will be the next thing.
25:27You will be told you can't complain, because you're Islamophobic. The term is already being introduced into the culture, as if it was an accusation of race hatred, for example, or bigotry, whereas it's only the objection to the preachings of a very extreme and absolutist religion. Resist it while you can. And if you wonder what will happen if you don't, look and see how a cricket team in Middlesex in England had to change its name by force last week because it was called and had been for years the Middlesex Crusaders. Look and see how stories about little pigs can't be taught to children in English schools anymore, lest offense be taken by the religion of peace.
26:09All right, so that was 20 years ago. And the question is, okay, so in the 20 years since, have we heeded that warning or has it consistently gotten worse? I think that if Christopher Hitchens was alive right now, if he was in the UK right now, he'd be looking around London saying, I have to get the hell out of here. What an abject failure of my country. And now even Australia, a place where again, it's legal immigration that has allowed all these people to come in. These people who you may remember, we played you the video over two years ago, who the day after October 7th, the day after October 7th, before Israel had launched any sort of counterattack or anything else, were outside the Sydney Opera House chanting, gas the Jews.
26:48Gas the Jews, not gas those mean Israelis or anything else. And it was before they had even stepped foot in Gaza. So what is going on here? Well, part of what's going on here is that we have a political leadership class that every time something happens, they never want you to see it. They want you to see something else for their own political purposes. This is, he is a lefty. He's, I mean, I can assure you from the audiences that showed up to Dave Rubin when Dave Rubin was in Australia, he is not well liked. This is Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese yesterday. And who's he warning about after a jihadist murdered 12 people and shot an untold amount of other people and has shredded the fabric of his nation?
27:29He wants you to worry about right-wing extremist groups. We take Asia's advice very seriously. We work closely with them. We receive regular updates as well. The Director General of Asia has warned about a range of threats, be it anti-Semitism, the rise of right-wing extremist groups as well. And we continue to work closely with our security agencies. You are a ridiculous buffoon. You are everything that leftist politicians have come to be. What are you talking about, right-wing extremists? Now, there might be some real right-wingers in Australia who are pissed off today. There is a party in Australia.
28:12What's the name? Is it the home party? What did they call it? There is an anti-immigrant, not racist. There's an anti-immigration party now in Australia. I think it's called the home front or home party. We'll get it. Sorry, guys, my brain's not 100 % right now. What is it? One Nation. One Nation. Thank you. It's the One Nation Party. And they are a restrictionist on the immigration side. And they're trying to figure out what do we do with this homegrown version of all of this, of which we just saw the fruits of that. But that he would even bring up right-wing extremism in the midst of that is completely crazy.
28:47And speaking of completely crazy, what else is he gonna do? Well, Australia, which has some of the strictest gun laws in the entire world, he's gonna try to tighten those gun laws. The government is prepared to take whatever action is necessary. Included in that is the need for tougher gun laws. And this afternoon at four o 'clock, will put on the agenda of the National Cabinet. Tougher gun laws including limits on the number of guns that can be used or licensed by individuals. A review of licenses over a period of time. People's circumstances change. People can be radicalized over a period of time.

You know, one of the oldest adages in politics is never let a tragedy go to waste. And that's a perfect example of it. So within a day, within 24 hours of this massive tragedy, he's using the tragedy for political purposes, to take more guns away from people.
31:24The gun is the tool. There are Australians, Australia, which is a huge piece of land. There are people that have massive farms that need guns to protect their land and they have big freaking spiders and all sorts of stuff. And you have every right to defend your family and your life and your property. Now they don't have those. They don't have the bill of rights there. They have a series of other problems when it comes to free speech. And we all know what happened to them during COVID, which became one of the most locked down places. So I get the sort of thin veneer version of this, which is, oh my God, something bad happened with a gun.
32:01Get rid of the guns. But what you want to talk about, Anthony Albanese, but you won't because you're afraid, is you wanna talk about the people that you imported who are there chanting in the streets, taking over the streets every weekend, never with an Australian flag, always with the flag of a nation that never even existed, that is completely antithetical to all the values of a true Australia, and you don't know what to do. And by the way, nobody really knows what to do in some sense. Like, well, there is a way to do this, right? You'd have to really start kicking people out, and it would be hard to watch, and there would be all sorts of things that people won't want to see.
32:41But you might have to do it. Former Deputy Prime Minister John Anderson, we did two shows together, and we did the live show together. and I repeatedly asked him, what are you going to do about it? What is the nation of Australia going to do about this homegrown thing? And he didn't fully wanna say it. I sat down with Tony Abbott, who I've met many times, who these are really good people, good, decent leaders. And Tony Abbott, you can watch our interview again, I kept pushing him and he didn't really wanna say it because people don't, in some sense, even good people don't wanna get to the end of the road where you're gonna go, man, we really do have to do something about this.
33:15And the thing we have to do might be kicking people out of our country. but if there are people that are there to destroy the fabric of your society, it is incumbent on you if you're a leader because otherwise you end up with this. Otherwise you end up with this. You end up with dead people and police officers. I mean, these are the two images that are going viral that you have these female police officers not even with their hands on their gun looking and I guess an image can be just a moment but hiding behind the car, hands up, confused. It sounds like they didn't do anything when they could And again, they have all of the gun laws in place.
33:49Here is video from 2023, Kamala Harris and Anthony Albanese talking about how great Australia's strict gun laws are. Gun violence has terrorized and traumatized so many of our communities in this country. And let us be clear, it does not have to be this way, as our friends in Australia have demonstrated. Indeed, it is the case that we look every time there is one of these events and are grateful that Australia did act in a bipartisan way. Congratulations, you took guns away from most of the people. And then when people needed it most over the weekend, they didn't have guns. And this went on for way too many minutes.
34:43You know, what's interesting also is that people find a way to kill people. If you have been infected by a bad ideology, there's all sorts of ways you can kill people. There are probably unthinkable ways and an endless amount of ways you can kill people. We had some fun with this during the show, but Australia also has a massive machete problem. There are roving gangs of usually, from what I understand, second-generation immigrants who are stabbing people on the streets, particularly in Melbourne, with machetes. Listen to this headline from Fox. Australia State rolls out machete disposal bins ahead of ban of Australian State offers amnesty period through November for safe weapon disposal.
35:23So they literally were putting bins on the corners in Melbourne for people. So you're walking around with a machete going, you know, I might just hack someone, a random person, or I don't like that guy, or maybe that's a Jew over there saying, oh, you know, I just, well, you know what? I won't do it. Let me put my machete in the bin, the government-sponsored bin. So people, this is not about the weapon, right? This is about the ideology and the cultural, what I would say now is a cultural catastrophe facing the West. We also have a homegrown version of it right here in America, which we'll talk about in just a second, but first Morgan & Morgan.
36:00If you've ever been seriously hurt in an accident, your injury could actually be worth millions, and most people have no idea. Insurance companies love to lowball claims offering way less than what you deserve. That's why there's Morgan & Morgan, America's largest injury law firm with over a thousand attorneys across 50 states. They've been fighting for people for more than 30 years and they don't settle for low ball offers. Just recently, they won$12 million in Florida,$26 million in Philadelphia, and$6.8 million in New York, all way above what insurance companies offered. And the best part, it's completely free unless you win.
36:33No upfront costs, no hidden fees. It takes only a couple minutes to see if you have the case. Did you know you can start a claim with America's largest injury law firm in just one click? It's super easy. Just go to for the people dot com slash Rubin or click the link in the description and pin comment.
36:53All right, so let's jump back here to the United States of America. There was a shooting at Brown University, which, well, let's just dive right in. A manhunt continues is from CNN into a third day in the deadly mass shooting at Brown University after a person of interest detaining connection with the attack was released, Providence, Rhode Island Mayor Brett Smiley said. Evidence now points in a different direction, State Attorney General Peter Nahorona said without offering details. The shooting left two students dead and nine others injured at the Ivy League school where classes and exams have been canceled.
37:24At a Sunday vigil in a nearby park, the mayor urged residents to come together and shine a little bit of light. This is a tweet from Sean McGuire who works at Sequoia, which is a big VC firm. I respect this guy a lot. He wrote, the shooting at Brown happened in Rachel Friedberg's classroom. She's a teaching professor of economics and a faculty associate in the program in Judaic studies. She was a professor in Israel for four years. I wonder what the motive was. So we will find out more, I suppose, about the motive. Was the motive that this person was really angry at her economic theories or perhaps that she taught in the Judaic studies department?
38:04We do have a bit more on at least one of the people who were shot. It's an unbelievable tragedy. This is from Colin Rugg. New Brown University sophomore Ella Cook. I mean, look at that beautiful young girl. Sophomore Ella Cook, identified as one of the shooting victims, was a devoted Christian and committed conservative. The announcement was made during a service at the Cathedral Church of the Advent in Burbingham, Alabama. And wokeness, I thought, had a meme is worth a thousand words these days, right? How much more of this will we take? And there's, of course, Donald Trump with the blood dripping down his face from over a year ago.
38:37There's Irina Zarutska who was murdered in cold blood because she was white on the Charlotte's, on the Charlotte light rail. There is Charlie Kirk and there is the young lady who now was killed at Brown University. And we are now finding out a little bit more. For some reason, this is leaking very, very slowly what happened at Brown. But take a look at this. The reality is, is that this is a seven story physics and engineering building that was unlocked. But this individual went to a specific classroom that was essentially in a study session for an exam on economics and chose that classroom. And we know from a witness inside that this gunman yelled something.
39:16We don't know what this individual yelled and then began shooting. We also know that this person reportedly used a handgun. So a lot of questions also as to whether or not they recovered that handgun or what kind of ballistics evidence may have led them perhaps to this individual as well. So we have more questions than answers. All right. So it's crazy. I was just asking the guys like it's kind of nuts that this is being slow rolled because there are others. So they don't know. Right now, there's been nothing released as to what this person looked like, what this person yelled. But there were other students.
39:47I mean, what did they say? Nine people were shot. But there were other students in the room. So someone's going to find out something about what this person yelled at this professor, whose last name was Friedberg, who is a Judaic studies professor in her classroom. And we'll find out more about all of that stuff. But again, one of the things that happens then is that people don't let a tragedy go to waste. This is USC women's basketball coach, Lindsay Gottlieb, who was asked about this shooting and, of course, makes it about the guns. The only country that lives this way. The college football cycle has been in the news a million times and are we going to report about this?
40:27Like, it's the guns. We're the only country that lives this way. Parents should not be worried about their kids. I have a teammate who has a daughter who is in the basement of a library because they don't know what's going on there and she's flying there tomorrow. So just wanted to start with that because I would be remiss if I didn't mention that, that that's going on. And hopefully everyone, you know, is safe and praying for peace for those who've lost people. And that's that's more important than basketball. We can all be better. Right. Yeah. And I would be remiss if I didn't remind people like you to stop doing this.
41:05Something horrible happened again. We don't know at the moment. There are rumors flying online. You can go check them out yourself. I'm not going to bring them up here about what this person looked like and what this person yelled. And you can maybe make that connection to the Judaic studies thing and everything else and to the backdrop of Australia and some of the other crazy shit that's gone on here in the last couple months. But that you make this about guns. A gun, like a hammer, can be used for good or bad, right? A gun could be used bad. How? Well, you could walk into a classroom and shoot random people, or you could murder 12 people on the beach in Australia.
41:41That would be a bad thing to do with a gun. How could a gun be used for good things? Well, you could use a gun for hunting so you could feed your family. You could use a gun so that if a masked terrorist breaks into your house and is trying to kill your children, you could shoot them. So these people, this is very thin, low resolution thinking with most of these people. And speaking of thin, low resolution thinking, here is Democrat Senator Chris Murphy claiming that Trump is somehow trying to make gun violence more likely. Over the last year, President Trump has been engaged in a dizzying campaign to increase violence in this country.
42:19He is restoring gun rights to felons and people who have lost their ability to buy guns. He eliminated the White House Office of Gun Violence Protection. And he has stopped funding mental health grants and community anti-gun violence grants that Republicans and Democrats supported in that 2022 bill. So he has been engaged in a pretty deliberate campaign to try to make violence more likely in this country. And I think you're unfortunately going to see the results of that on the streets of America. He has been involved in a deliberate campaign to make gun violence more likely. Do you think that's what Trump is doing as it pertains to the felons who are getting out?
42:57it's nonviolent felons. And we can have a debate as to whether a nonviolent felon or a nonviolent criminal who gets out of jail should have access to a gun. There's some debate you can have about that. Again, nonviolent. These aren't murderers and rapists and everything else. But do you think Donald Trump, by offering a robust defense of the Second Amendment, is the one that wants more violence to be out there? You know, it's interesting. We have way more guns and people that know how to defend themselves in, say, Florida than they do in California. So you would think if by Chris's logic right there, you would think that Florida would constantly have shootings and crime and murder and mayhem and everything else, but we don't.
43:37And part of that, I'm always talking about the signal, right? Part of it is if you break into a store or you break into someone's home in Florida, there's a good chance that person knows how to defend themselves and you are going to get shot. When you take a population and you de-arm them, you disarm them so that they cannot defend themselves, well, then guns do exist one way or another. Then you're actually empowering the bad guys. So it's like in Chicago, they have crazy gun laws. And also, well, why don't we check the numbers? How many people were shot in Chicago this weekend? They have crazy gun laws.
44:08And then they often have the most shootings in any blue city because bad guys will do bad things. Like this is basic. Did any of these people take Psychology 101? I'm not sure. Anyway, it is holiday season. and the White House Christmas parties have begun. There's many of them. And the Hanukkah parties, which I mentioned, I'll be going to one of them tomorrow. Trump and Melania showed up to the White House Christmas party yesterday and they paid respects to the Brown University, Australia, and we had servicemen killed in Syria over the weekend as well. Again, however, I want to just pay my respects to the people, unfortunately.
44:45Two are no longer with us. Brown University, nine injured, and two are looking down on us right now from heaven. And likewise in Australia, as you know, that was a terrible attack, 11 dead, 29 badly wounded. And that was an anti-Semitic attack, obviously. And I just want to pay my respects to everybody. I must say in Syria also, we had an attack in Syria and we had three great patriots terminated by bad people and not the Syrian government. It was ISIS. The Syrian government fought by our side. The new president fought by our side. But I just want to pay my respects to the families. We also had three injured, but two of them are already out of the hospital.
45:40One's going to be okay. But we lost three. So it was a rough. It was a rough day. So that's the guy that Chris Murphy is telling you is trying to instigate gun violence on our streets. Trump has no problem calling out who the good guys are and who the bad guys are and everything else. By the way, we just checked 10 people were shot in Chicago this weekend. Chicago has all of those gun laws. As you know, you will not see any of that. Only one person was killed out of the 10s. That's a pretty good weekend in Chicago. But you will not hear that on any mainstream media report because without question, It is black people shooting black people.
46:15It doesn't fit the intersectional calculator. Let's talk about Tax Network USA, and then we'll get to the border here in America, which obviously is connected to this whole situation, whether you're in America, Canada, Mexico, Australia, or Japan. Do you owe back taxes or haven't even filed in years? Now's the time to resolve your tax issues. With the national debate around abolishing the income tax system, the IRS is pushing back by becoming more aggressive than ever. They're sending more collection notices, filing more tax liens and collecting billions more than in recent years. If you owe or you haven't filed, it's not a matter of if the IRS will act, it's when.
46:51Right now, Tax Network USA is offering a completely free IRS research and discovery call to show you exactly where you stand. Their programs and strategies can save you thousands or even eliminate your debt entirely if you qualify. Don't make the mistake of trying to handle the IRS on your own. Representing yourself or calling them directly can waive your rights and cost you significantly more. The IRS is not on your side, but Tax Network USA is. Get the protection you need and start resolving your tax matters once and for all. Call 1-800-958-1000 or visit tnusa.com slash Dave for your free discovery call.
47:24Don't let the IRS be the first act. All right. So as you guys know, there's always, there's several layers to this problem, right? This layer cake here is, this is, it's tricky in some sense, and it's not tricky in other sense. It's not tricky. It's tricky because of political correctness. It's not tricky if we are really willing to close our borders, figure out who is here, deal with them appropriately, fight bad ideologies, take a little personal responsibility, know how to defend yourself and all those things. But unfortunately, just relative to the media and largely the Democrat Party, it seems that simple things become quite difficult.
47:58J.B. Pritzker, who is the governor of Illinois, who will say literally nothing about the 10 people who I just mentioned were shot in Chicago over the weekend. And here he is, and he's on a podcast being asked about immigration, and he gives us sort of the base level, sort of lowest common denominator that America is made out to be a country of immigrants, which he is right about, but he's saying it so that you won't be able to make a distinction between good people and bad people go. First of all, we're a nation mostly of immigrants. That is who we are fundamentally at our core. And we ought to always be that.
48:33it's what's made our country great in many ways already and uh i mean i can say my own family i don't know your history but my own family came here as refugees would have been killed in ukraine if they hadn't been allowed to come to the united states and uh and they came with nothing immigrants are the most entrepreneurial immigrants are the most grateful and patriotic because of what the United States represents to them and what they had to leave behind and chose to leave behind to come to. If you did not see our Friday episode with my friend, the great Gad Saad, he has a new book coming out called Suicidal Empathy, which Elon has been repeating that phrase over and over again.
49:19And it's really kind of caught the zeitgeist right now. And suicidal empathy is that you put, you should all be, everyone should have empathy for man, for another person, for a human being, right? You want empathy. But suicidal empathy is when you put it at the top of that hierarchy. So empathy will override logic and reason and self-preservation and all of those other things. And what Pritzker does there, it's a version of suicidal empathy. No one's debating whether, is America fundamentally a nation of immigrants? Well, yes, in that we are. In two weeks from now, we will celebrate, well, we will be in our 250th year on July 4th, 2026, but we're about to roll into 26.
49:55We are about to be 250 years old. We are a pretty young nation. But are we a nation of immigrants? Meaning did people, you watching this and my ancestors and all that and our forefathers come to this country as immigrants? Yes. Now, was it supposed to be done that they would come legally, usually through Ellis Island? That's where they were coming, when they would cross the pond. Yes. Now, are there other ways you can come legally? Yes. Can you come from all over the world and be legal? Yes. He completely can't make the distinction between legal and illegal. He has this need to then tell you all these great things about immigrants.
50:29That's just fine. But if you don't think that there's a fundamental difference between, say, I don't know, J.B. Pritzker, did he say it was his parents or his grandparents? From Ukraine coming with a bag and nothing else and tattered clothing, say, 80 years ago to follow the American dream versus people who have come illegally or in some cases legally coming from, say, somewhere in the Middle East or Africa to then not speak our language, to then live on the dole, to then hate our culture, have a political party, the Democrats, that tell them that everything's set up to be racist against them.
51:03If you can't see that that's what's going on here, well, I don't know that you can see the piece of very large cake in front of your face, Pritzker. Here's Lady Eyelashes, Jasmine Crockett, explaining how she has to educate people on what immigrants do. So I had to go around the country and educate people about what immigrants do for this country or the fact that we are a country of immigrants. Right, right. The fact is, ain't none of y 'all trying to go and farm right now. Okay, so I'm lying. Raise your hands.
51:42You're not. You're not. We done picking cotton. We are. You can't pay us enough to find a plantation.
51:56Not feeling well. I haven't cursed yet. Okay. Lady, again, it's an illegal legal distinction that you seem not to be able to make. Nobody's asking you to pick cotton, although I think you'd be better qualified to do that than be senator. Also, robots and AI are going to be doing all of those things. So she's, in some sense, she's telling you the most racist thing possible because what she's saying is we need this endless lower class, which will often be black and brown people to come here to do the jobs that she won't, right? She's not going to risk losing an eyelash in a cotton field, but she wants somebody else to do it.
52:37And again, those people that we bring in to then do that, to be the permanent underclass, the indentured servants for people like her, they are going to then lose their jobs to robots. And then what are you going to do? So what so much of this, I mean, this is a rising star in the Democratic Party. What so much of this has to do is the degradation of the Democrat Party, that they went from party that used to be just sort of more big government than the Republicans, let's say, but not completely bananas. They've now shifted and it's a banana factory. I don't know who's picking those bananas, but it's a banana factory.
53:10Let's go all the way back to 2007. There was a guy who was about to run for president who I voted for twice and I should be judged accordingly and I regret it. His name is Barack Obama. Here he is when the Democrats were not completely insane talking about a secure border. I think we should have strong border security. It doesn't make sense for us to allow hundreds of thousands of people coming through our borders without us knowing who they are, oftentimes in very hazardous situations and unmonitored situations that could do us long-term damage. I think we should have a serious employer verification system where employers, when they hire somebody, find out what their work status is, are they able to work here legally.
54:00Right now, what employers will say is, well, we checked their Social Security card, that's the best we can do. So we've got to set up a tamper-proof system and then hold employers accountable. You pay a fine. You learn English. You stay out of trouble. you've got a job, you go to the back of the line so that those who came here legally, that backlog is cleared before you have opportunities for citizenship. That is a reasonable approach. Cozy season is ahead and you'll be spending way more time inside. Is your home ready? Don't worry. With Wayfair, you can upgrade your space without breaking the bank.

Who is that crazy Republican, right? So why is it that Barack Obama in 2007 understood what a border is, understood what culture is, understood what laws are? I would dare you, Barack Obama, I assume you're a big Rubin Report viewer, I would dare you to just go and give a speech tonight and just repeat that and see what happens.
55:17Your rabid base of which you ginned up into this existential lunacy would hate you. They would hate you as much as they hate Donald Trump because actually everything is said right there is Donald Trump stuff. You just said it slower with a slightly different cadence. Alabama Senator Tommy Tuberville, I thought made a good point in the last couple days talking about culture and why we have to defend America for Americans and that there are certain people, say, radical Islamists who we shouldn't be so friendly to. This is a major national security threat. Radical Islamists have proven over and over again that they are willing to do whatever it takes to kill just one American citizen.
56:09And it didn't just happen overseas. It has been allowed to fester and is alive and well in our very own country, just waiting for the right opportunity to attack. So now is the time to act, because if we don't, we're going to lose this country we know it. Open your eyes, America. The values of this country was built on cannot coexist with radical Islam. It doesn't work. It's one, our constitution, or the other. You can't mix them. This isn't a Republican or Democrat issue. This is an American issue. That is true. That is simple. That is right. And finally, hopefully not too late. It's too late in Western Europe.
56:57You guys are screwed. I'm sorry if you live in the UK and France and Brussels or Belgium and probably the Netherlands. I see no way around it right now unless you're going to do some extraordinary stuff. I don't even know that Maloney's gonna have the balls to do it in Italy, and I don't know that Gert Wilders is gonna do it in the Netherlands. We seem, and again, because we're also an armed population, we seem to be better equipped to deal with it. We were also born in revolution. We're not as cowardly, I think, unfortunately, as some people in Europe. Listen to this right here in the Free State of Florida from our Governor Ron DeSantis.
57:28Effective immediately, Florida is designating the Muslim Brotherhood and the Council on American Islamic Relations Care, a foreign terrorist organization. Florida agencies are hereby directed to undertake all lawful measures to prevent unlawful activities by these organizations, including denying privileges or resources to anyone who's providing material support. So we'll see what comes of that. We know that we have radical mosques. They have an awful lot of them in Texas. We know we have some of them in Florida. Are they working with CARE or the Muslim Brotherhood as they are ginning up people in their mosques?
57:58I suspect we'll find out. There'll probably be some RICO stuff. This is kind of like going after the mafia. You know, you rarely get the mafia guy. How does every mafia movie end? Well, usually someone's dead or a lot of people are dead. But the guy, usually the guy at the end, he gets caught on some other charge related to all of this stuff. It's usually not all of the really terrible stuff that he's done. Here is a New York Post correspondent. Her name's Lydia Monaghan, talking about something very obvious. Every now and again, something very obvious does make it through to CNN. And it's not just by Scott Jennings.
58:28Here she is talking about how certain cultures are simply not compatible with American values, although, of course, Abby Phillip doesn't quite get it. We need to acknowledge, I think we should absolutely select the best of the best. It should be an individual choice. But I think we can also acknowledge there are certain cultures that are not compatible with America. Which ones? Well, if we look at Europe, actually, there was a lawyer this week who argued that an Afghan immigrant who raped a woman shouldn't be charged or shouldn't have a penalty because his culture said that women weren't free and equal.
59:02We're seeing 77 % of rapes in France are from migrants. So there is a real question that people on the right have about certain cultures. What are the cultures? The cultures that are okay with that. The cultures that are okay with female genital mutilation. So, I mean, is it Afghanistan? Is it Africans? Is it, what is it? How are we going to define culture? 90 plus percent of women have female genital mutilation. How are we going to define culture? What about the people fleeing female genital mutilation? Are you going to allow them in? Are they allowed in? I mean, if you are Somali, if you are Somali and you're a woman and you're fleeing, you're actually trying to leave because you...
59:40Abby Phillip really is grotesque. I mean, I always say there's just nothing behind her eyes other than whatever information they're giving her in her earpiece. She knows what culture. She knows exactly what she is doing. And should we, I'll try to give the dollars to you, should we try to be sympathetic? even in our precarious position in America right now with all this lunacy. If there was a group of people who were fleeing the worst of the worst in whatever country they were in, should we be sympathetic to those people and see if maybe we can find place for some of them? Maybe. Should it be that they have to have family here or know that they're gonna be taken care of or a promise of a job or like a series of other things?
1:00:18Not just take them and put them on the dole and see what happens. It doesn't mean that every one of those people is bad, obviously. But what she keeps trying to do is which cultures, which cultures. And then unfortunately, Lydia there, the New York Post correspondent, she needed to just say it, right? Like you can just say it. It is cultures that have been infected largely by radical Islam and Islamism as a political ideology and the subjugation of women and minorities and all the rest of it. You know the answer to that, Abby, which is why you don't live in one of those countries. You live in the United States of America.
1:00:50But Abby Phillips is a moron. And here's an example of that. It's okay now in the Republican Party to say, we only want to let white people come into this country. We only want immigrants from European countries. That's okay to say, when it maybe wasn't okay to say five years ago. This is not a race issue. This is a cultural issue. And what we've seen in Somalia... I didn't make it a race issue. The Trump administration did. when they literally, their policy on asylum is that no one comes in except for white South Africans. It does not, so this year, the only people we let in an asylum was people from South Africa.
1:01:26That does not mean that the Trump administration is only letting - She so fucking did - I did it. I'm not feeling well. I really tried to get through that. I'm so congested right here. We let in, what was it? It was something like 60 white South Africans because they actually are under threat. And there are calls for white genocide in South Africa. And you know what happened? Those people that came here, we showed you the video when they got off the plane, they had American flags. I haven't heard, Phoenix, could you maybe double check? Have any of the white South Africans strapped on a suicide bomb and blown up?
1:02:04No, you're pretty sure about that. He doesn't even have to Google it. They have not done that. So it's strange, Abby. You want us to be sympathetic to people that are fleeing things, but you don't seem to like when, in this case, we chose some white people. Think about that. Let me end with something that we showed you earlier, but I think it is a stark warning on this Monday. Christopher Hitchens. This is very urgent business, ladies and gentlemen. I beseech you. Resist it while you still can, and before the right to complain is taken away from you, which will be the next thing. You will be told you can't complain because you're Islamophobic.
1:02:42The term is already being introduced into the culture, as if it was an accusation of race hatred, for example, or bigotry, whereas it's only the objection to the preachings of a very extreme and absolutist religion. Resist it while you can. Let's try it this way. Resist it while you can. Do you think that most people in Australia right now, again, a giant country, a giant physical landmass, the same size of the United States, which has 27 million people. We have 350 million people here. Do you think that if they had resisted, if they could go back in time and say, boy, 20 years ago, maybe we should have let less of these people in.
1:03:20Do you think they would have done it? The average Australian or whatever, however many crocodile dundies are left in Australia, they damn well would have done it. Do you think that the average Brit who has to deal with this nonsense or French could go back and deal with it, would have dealt with it. So we better deal with it now. They come for the Saturday people first, and then they come for the Sunday people. This is everybody. This is everybody. So let's do something about it. Guys, there's no post-game show today because I have to tape a quick pre-tape so that we get you something live for tomorrow.
1:03:50And then I have, I think it's, what did we say, 15, and we'll probably get more on the fly interviews from DC tomorrow. So I thank you for watching. I'm gonna take some meds and rest a little bit. Thanks, we'll see you tomorrow. Ciao.
