In short
A Friday Roundtable arguing that Trump’s Iran strikes are strategically sound and already “winning,” while criticizing media and Democrats for “fatal empathy” toward criminals and for identity-politics accusations (e.g., Dr. Oz/Armenians, hospice fraud). It also covers Gavin Newsom’s response to hospice fraud claims, Kirstjen Noem’s DHS exit, illegal-immigration crime stories, rising anti-Jewish incidents, and a NYPD chief’s response to a bomb attempt outside Gracie Mansion.
Guests (backgrounds)
Gates Garcia, host of We the People; 40 years in Florida; father of four. DeBorey Darkins, host of the DeBorey Darkins Show; military veteran (13 years); husband and father; moved from California to Texas.
Key claims
Iran war is going well with no retaliation yet; success means regime removal and diplomacy from within Iran. Newsom is defending fraud and using race accusations to derail investigations. Democrats allegedly downplay victims of illegal-immigrant violence. Media allegedly mislabels evidence (e.g., NYT calling bombers “accused”).
Notable examples
“Epic Fury” naming at a Trump rally; CBS analysis of 700+ LA hospices triggering fraud red flags; Cheryl Minter/Stephanie Minter case; Gracie Mansion bomb attempt; San Jose incident where a man was attacked for speaking Hebrew.

You know, sometimes it looks great, but then you cook it and it just doesn't have that flavor or freshness you expect. So finding something reliable has made a huge difference. Wild Alaskan Company really changed that for me. It's the best way to receive high quality wild caught seafood delivered right to your door on your schedule. The first box I got was super easy to use. Everything comes individually portioned and vacuum sealed, so there's no guesswork. I cooked that wild Alaskan sockeye salmon just in a pan with a little olive oil, salt, and pepper, and it turned out fantastic.
0:34Clean flavor, great texture, and didn't feel like frozen fish at all. I've also tried the wild Pacific cod, which I love. It's light and flaky and really easy to work in when you need a quick dinner. What stood out is that the fish is quick frozen right after it's caught in Alaska, so it locks in that freshness along with the nutrients like omega-3s, and it's clean. no GMOs, no antibiotics, no additives, and it supports sustainable fishing and Alaskan fishermen. They're so confident in the quality that there's 100 % satisfaction, money-back guarantee, so there's no risk in trying it. Go to wildalaskan.com slash Rubin for$35 off your first order of premium wild-caught seafood.

1:51All right, guys, it is Friday, March 13th. That's right, it's Friday the 13th. We had one last month, we had one this month. That must only happen once every 1 ,500 years. I'm Dave Rubin. This is The Rubin Report, and it's time for another Friday Roundtable Extravaganza. We've got two first-time guests, host of We the People, Gates Garcia, and host of the DeBorey Darkins Show, DeBorey Darkins. Gentlemen, welcome to the show. How's it going, Dave? How's it going, Dave? All right. For two guys in studios with very professional microphone setups, we normally don't do the second week in a row, actually, that we've done new guests on a Friday panel.
2:28It went well last week. We're going to try not to derail it this week. But for anyone that may not know you, can we get a 30-second bio on each of you? Daivari, go. Yeah, absolutely. Military veteran, 13 years, husband, father. Now I'm living in Texas, fled California. I pride myself in common sense, and I'm just grateful to be able to have the opportunity to communicate with people online. Happy to have you on. And Gates, I was on your show last week. Tell the people who you are. Well, that kind of lends all the credibility my show needs right there, Dave. But 40 years in Florida, born and raised, father of four, lovely wife of 15 years.
3:05I started the platform of We the People because I was tired of listening and reading the front page. I wanted to sort of bring a back porch conversation to the culture war, to the, you know, things that matter in society. And so that's what we're doing. I like to tell people if they want to pour a beer, smoke a cigar during my show, you'll fit right in. All right. Well, I enjoy listening to both you guys. I think we're going to have a fruitful 45 minutes or so. Let's start with Trump because he got back out where he is simply at his best. I think that's pretty much undeniable. That's that's the campaign trail that's in front of people.
3:37He went to Kentucky, did a rally. Here he is on where we're at with the Iran war. Is that a great name? Well, it's only good if you win. You know, you can only do it. And we've won. Let me tell you, we've won. You know, you never like to say too early you won. We won. We won the best. In the first hour, it was over. But we won. But they gave me a list of names. Sir, you can pick the name you'd like. Sir? I said, the name of what? The name of the attack? On a ranch, sir. And they gave me like 20 names and I'm like falling asleep. I didn't like any of them. Then I see Epic Fury. I said, I like that name.
4:17I like that name. D 'Avary, I like Epic Fury, too. Sounds like a Mad Max installment. You know, seeing Trump out there, I think it's great to just, that's where he connects with the people. And, you know, he changes even his inflection and the way he speaks and everything. There's a little bit of a risk, as good as the war is going, to say it is over or it was over in hour one, right? Yeah, absolutely. I mean, the president is a showman. There's no question about that. an amazing marketer, a salesman. And like you were pointing to there, that the salesman part of it, or the risk, is it's got to be backed up with action, of course.
4:57And I think we're on like day nine, if I'm correct, with my math. And so it's still early if you want to compare it to, you know, historical context. But yeah, he's going to go out there and try to make the people feel good, you know, obviously lift up their spirits. And I would argue he's the only person essentially doing that because I'm not seeing many Republicans do it. So it's something that I would definitely expect from the president. Right. Gates, I mean, we are seeing Rubio, I think, has been great at explaining what we're doing. And I think Hegseth has been particularly good. You know, I saw a poll that said 91 percent of MAGA supporters support the war.
5:32If you listen to the chattering class online, that's not what it is. But in terms of real voters who support Trump, I'm not talking about the guys in boxes like us, people are happy with this. Again, we'll see where it all shakes out, but as it stands right now. Well, look, first of all, the majority of Americans voted for this president. And the famous thing about Donald Trump is he ran on promises made, promises kept. And I continue to see him keeping the promises he's made. He's the most transparent president we've ever had that trickles down throughout the administration. Marco Rubio, Pete Hexeth, as you said, essentially lay out the playbook for us.
6:08I mean, Iran was warned about this. We knew about this before it was going to happen. So all we're really seeing is him follow through on what he said he was going to do. It doesn't come as a surprise to anybody. I think the overwhelming majority of Americans, certainly that MAGA camp that you talked about, is happy to be safe. This is a regime that has continued to attack us for the last 50 years. And we finally have somebody that's willing to step up and do something about it. And as far as all these forever war comments go, after looking at Venezuela and Iran, you know, part one, I'm all for forever wars that last, you know, a week or two.
6:41So sign me up. Yeah. Let me just ask you guys one other thing on this. What do you think an actual ending looks like that Trump can walk away and really sell to the American people? So it seems obvious to me, like, we'll have defeated their military, right? The nuke program will be gone. The ballistic missiles will be gone. We've taken out a huge amount of their leadership. The tricky part is what the people of Iran will do. What do you guys think like an actual win, say a month from now, really looks like, Tabari? Yeah, I think you kind of pointed to it, which is essentially eradicating the RGC, removing the existing regime, and hopefully the people of Iran can replace them with someone who will actually exercise diplomacy.
7:24I mean, that's what's actually lacking in all of this. I think they put the president in a position where he had no choice. And there's a lot of chatter online, as you stated, but the fact of the matter is the president is not a ideologue. So the fact that he did this tells you that he probably exercised every option in the book. So success to me just looks like a different culture of Iran who wants to actually collaborate and not destabilize that region. Yeah. And, you know, Gates, when I was on your show last week, we talked about this a little bit, But I'm sympathetic to the people that have PTSD or a hangover because of mistaken wars and all of those things.
7:58And you guys, I mean, you're both veterans. So you're I'm sure you're very sympathetic to that. But to me, it's like Trump, after 10 years of all of this, deserves a little of our of our trust. Like he deserves it. And we will see. We can pick it up in six months if we're still in this thing. But, you know, we're barely two weeks into it. Yeah. First of all, I want to point out I am not a veteran. I'm probably one of the most outspoken proponents of veterans. So don't be fooled by the bald head. I simply just can't grow hip. Wow. I appreciate a fact check online. I was fully giving you extra cred there.
8:30All right. Honest man right there. Honest man. You play one on TV. Okay. I'll let a lot of people lie and say nice things about me, but I can't take credit for that, for the men and women that we have protecting us. But, you know, it might be over now. I'm not maybe completely caught up on the news, But the only image I've seen as the new leader that's chosen to lead Iran was a cardboard cutout. So he may not even be alive. But I think really we have to take President Trump on his track record. I mean, he's he's not been in office this term very long, but what he's done has seen through to the end.
9:03I mean, we've seen this a couple times already. What will be a true end? I mean, that's that is tough to say. That's a little bit of a vague question. But, you know, it would be a little different if I saw more countries, more regimes coming to the defense of Iran. then I'd have to worry about, you know, what are we going to be dealing with China? What are they doing with Russia? But there's really been a lack of that. So I think the end is near, but it's going to have to come back to your original point, not from us changing the regime. We're trying to end the regime. The regime change that needs to take place is going to come from the people within.
9:32And when we start to see that materialize, I think we'll be near the end. Yeah. And it just seems to me if we degrade that military, I mean, that's done already, as we've all pointed out. But then if those people stand up and then if the rest of the Middle East, those 13 Arab Muslim nations who have been attacked by Iran are basically like, okay, Israel is not our enemy anymore. Like we could, this literally could change the world for the next 50 to a hundred years. But all right, let's, let's leave that there. Let's go to a more difficult place to live in than even the Middle East. We're talking about California.
10:03That's right. Daivari, you're lucky you got out too. So here is Gavin Newsom, who is now filing a complaint against my friend, Dr. Oz, something, something, he's racist. Governor Gavin Newsom's office is filing a civil rights complaint against Dr. Oz, who is currently serving as administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. The governor is seeking an investigation into Oz's, quote, baseless and racist allegations against Armenian Americans in California. He went down attacking the Armenian community just a few days ago. A business is down now 30 percent. Poor guy, small businessman running a bakery because he decided to do a little TikTok video or something.
10:50Saying they're somehow connected to the mob around hospice. Now, the state's complaint says Oz's statements show a discriminatory motive that could affect how investigations into fraud are conducted. OK, so somehow Dr. Oz is racist against Armenians in Los Angeles. Here's actually what Dr. Oz did. So you can see these are medical buildings. They've got Cyrillic writing, Russian-Armenian writing. Both sides, there's lots of action, it seems. I don't know how many patients are getting care, but in this four-block area in Los Angeles, there are 42 hospices. So either there are a lot of people dying here, or you've got a fraudulent activity that is so good that everyone wants to get in on it.
11:40Damari, is this a perfect example of the end of what identity politics is, that somehow, even uncovering fraud, which in this case, it happens to be a bunch of Armenian-owned businesses that are doing this type of fraud, that will lead to the accusation of racism, as opposed to, I don't know, rooting out the fraud, making sure that places that say they're, you know, taking care of end-of-life patients are actually being taken care of instead of just cashing checks from the government? Exactly. You know, this is the number one playbook from Democrats. I mean, step number one is make everything about race or somebody's skin color and not actually talk about the merits of the case.
12:17And the fact that someone from the CDC, who's in charge of the CDC, by the way, physically went there and did something that you would expect your local journalists to do, I think really screams a huge problem for California. And that's just the, what, speckle in the bucket of all of the massive fraud, whether it's COVID or homelessness, we can go down the actual line. But I wouldn't expect anything less from Newsome. So Gates, before I have you check in, listen to Newsome. I almost called him gruesome, which also works. Hey, Chicagoland, the Wayfair store is in your neighborhood at Edens Plaza and Wilmette.
12:51Finally, you can feel the fabric, sit on the sectionals, and even open the refrigerators. Plus, our in-store designers will help you bring it all together with free one-on-one design support for any project on any budget. Yep, lease that free. Oh, and did we mention the cafe? So what are you waiting for? Come see all that's in store. Visit the Wayfair store today at Edens Plaza and Wilmette. Wayfair, every style, every home. Listen to Newsom here explaining that he's been after fraud for years. Well, hospice, we've been after that for years and years before Oz was even on the scene. 2021, we did a moratorium on new hospice program.
13:30On 280, we shuttered. We've been after this for years and years and years. We want an open hand, not a closed fist. We absolutely are here to be a partner to go after waste, fraud, and abuse. I started something called ODI, Office Digital Innovation. I did not, my mistake, do it with a chainsaw. Man, this guy loves a government program to figure out government fraud. Listen to this. He's been on this for years from CBS. CBS News examined the business and financial records of every hospice currently operating in L.A. County, applying the same indicators identified by the state. Indications of fraud have not stopped.
14:06In fact, they've grown. The CBS News analysis reveals that over 700 of the roughly 1 ,800 hospices in L.A. County trigger multiple red flags for fraud as defined by the state. Gates, I cannot believe that Newsom doesn't have a good handle on this and is lying about it. And have you ever noticed that Democrats are so quick to defend people of any other nationality except Americans? This is quality leering center all over again. And no, I did not misspeak there. It's quality leering center. I mean, we owe a debt of gratitude to Nick Shirley for making this stuff cool to uncover. That's why I think Dr.
14:42Oz had the guts to go do something like this or the motivation. And, you know, Newsom comes out and he tries to defend his administration, pointing out actions, you know, that California says it already took. Well, how did that work out? He keeps mentioning this thing, as he just said, called the ODI. I think it stands for oversight didn't work or I don't know, obvious disaster ignored or something like that. I mean, he's bringing about he's bragging about a moratorium on new hospice licenses. But pointing out that moratorium date, that's like setting your house on fire and then grabbing the garden hose once the roof is gone.
15:16I mean, it's Gavin Newsom 101. This man is at the forefront of the race to be considered in the next presidential race. I don't know how Americans don't see past this, but hopefully stuff like this helps. Well, one American who definitely sees past it and has been dealing with Newsom for a decade, at least publicly, and fighting with him and bringing him on his show and just mocking the high hell out of him is Adam Carolla. Take a look at this. The guy's vacuous. He's a nut. He's a sociopath. And it's your fault for voting for this guy who has zero ideas. People are like, oh, Gavin, Gavin Newsom, does he not have handlers?
15:52Does his wife not pull him aside and go, you can't just speak gibberish with your hands? his hands act his hands his hands move like he's in an origami competition that's his like hands like i'm making 30 swans in 10 seconds you know like i'm good friends with adam it takes a lot to get him worked up it really does but he but he's right everything about this guy is fake and yet for some reason if you listen to almost everyone in media everyone kind of says the saying anything. Yeah, he's fake. He's not great. But he's smooth. The suit looks good. The hair is nice. As if any of that matters. Although I guess it does to a certain set of people.
16:34Yeah, I think the roads have definitely been paved for Gavin Newsom. I mean, if you go all the way back to his time as mayor, I think that is pretty clear. And the other thing, I don't think his wife has any time to give him any advice because she's too busy making money off her nonprofit, as we have come to learn. But more importantly, at the end of the day, he is a dangerous politician. He knows exactly what he's doing. He knows how to get a response. You've seen his campaign against the president, especially over the past last year. I think it's kind of died off a little bit here towards the end.
17:04But I think he's very effective. Somehow the white liberals of the world, particularly the females of the world, they just go crazy over him. I don't know why. But do you think Californians would be fed up by now? I mean, it's just that bad. Yeah. And they just continue to lose people. And now the, you know, what they're calling a billionaire's tax, which obviously will be a millionaire's tax, and then it will be less than that. Gates, would you like to close out on Gavin? Well, first of all, California is not losing people according to the hospice records. They're actually gaining a large number of dead people.
17:41We'll compare those. Yeah. Come on. I mean, Gavin Newsom is trying to do what Trump did. He thinks that everyone can be a celebrity in chief. There is one Donald Trump. He is an anomaly. He is different. Gavin Newsom tries to do it with the hair and the looks and all that. And I think you vaguely referenced something. And I know this is kind of a fun show, but there's a serious movement going on in this country that is called looks maxing. And there's a group out there saying that have historically been conservatives saying that they will vote for Gavin Newsom simply because of his looks. These are men saying this.
18:13So it's working and all politicians do is feed the beast that works. And so someone's going to have to come out and challenge this nonsense or we're going to be dealing with the hands for a while. Yeah, I don't know that I can get into looks macking, maxing or frame mogging right now or whatever. But but it is true. I mean, that little that little rat person, Fuentes, did say that he would vote. I mean, he already is a Democrat pretending, but he said he would vote for Newsom over J.D. because J.D.'s sort of roundish in the face. And Newsom is, I mean, we are just at the end of democracy and this is what it looks like.
18:52Everyone's talking about weight loss injections because the results can be dramatic. They work by lowering blood sugar and reducing appetite. But what if you want to lose weight and don't want painful weekly injections or the risk of serious side effects? That's why doctors created a weight loss supplement called Lean, and the numbers are impressive. The studied ingredients in Lean help lower blood sugar, burn fat by turning it into energy, and reduce appetites and cravings so you'll naturally eat less. Lean isn't for someone trying to lose just a few pounds. It was created for frustrated dieters who have 10 pounds or more to lose.
19:24Get started today with 20 % off and free rush shipping. When you add Lean to your healthy diet and exercise plan, visit TakeLean.com and enter code RUBEN at checkout. out. That's promo code Ruben at TakeLean.com. Let's continue because the other thing that sort of got glossed over in the last week is that Kristi Noem is now out as head of DHS. And I thought this was particularly interesting. Here's Tim Walls on what should happen to her. So when people are going, oh, you know, when the Democrats take power again, maybe it won't be that bad. Well, take a look at this. Somebody has to pay. Somebody has to pay a price.
19:57Do you imagine trials with her? I mean, she will say she was acting at Stephen Miller's behest. Well, it's out of my wheelhouse not being an attorney, but we all know in history saying you followed orders didn't get you out of anything. Just following orders didn't get you out of anything. And somebody issued those orders, and she was more than happy to tell us she was in charge as she rode her horse around telling us that. Daivari, the phrase I say on the show probably more than anything else, these people just need a mirror. I mean, this guy's in charge of the biggest fraud scam maybe in American history, although California may trump that.
20:34But it also, to me, it's like we're entering the Dark Knight Rises phases of all this, where they're going to have the scarecrow giving clown court appearances for these people. And the thing is, I believe the Democrats when they say that, that they will put people up on trial and everything. They pretend Trump will do it. I think they actually would. Yeah, you know, this actually brings me to two things. One is a very serious warning to all of us here, especially alternative media, that they will come after us. I mean, if the previous administration showed us anything, they're willing to bend the rules, if not break them, to get their way against people they disagree with.
21:09So I think that's very clear, which is why it's a rally cry for the Republican Party to catch up here and take advantage of the opportunity that the president has given them. Now, secondly, I don't take any moral clarity from Tim Wallace. This is a man who committed stolen valor. He claimed he was a command sergeant major, retired. He never actually completed the academy. So as a veteran myself, he's one of the most idiotic people I've seen in government who can't even tell the honest truth about their military service. So, yeah, I don't think I'll be taking any advice from him regarding Chrissy Noem.
21:43Yeah. Gates, you know what? Let's jump to this video because I think this perfectly illustrates. So Chrissy Noem's out. You can criticize her or not criticize her. You can be happy with what ICE did or not. But one thing that the Democrats never do is they never mention the names or even remotely talk about the victims of the illegals who come here and rape and murder and kill and get kids hooked on fentanyl and all of these other things. And I thought it's worth showing some of these videos. This is a video of a woman by the name of Cheryl Minter, who is still waiting for accountability after an illegal killed her daughter, Stephanie.
22:14Stephanie. Her smile, her positivity. Always.
22:23We'll get through it no matter what. We'll get through it no matter what. I spoke to Stephanie's family here in Fredericksburg. The family told me that had Descano prosecuted her accused killer and other serious violent crimes, Stephanie would be alive today. 7 News obtained emails that police sent to Descano on three separate occasions, warning Descano how dangerous Abdul Jalloh was. The police told him they encountered him more than 100 times. And if he was let back out in the community one more time, it wasn't a matter of if but when he would kill someone. Despite those warnings, Descano's office dropped charge after charge against Jalloh, who is a Sierra Leone national in the country illegally.
23:03I mean, Gates, it's obvious the Democrats never care about the victims. They never mention Lake and Riley or the litany of other girls that have been killed and or raped. But, you know, it's funny. I just showed you a clip of Walls talking about how Kirstie Noem should be on trial. It seems like we've got some DAs in this country who should probably be on trial. Dave, I'm a father of four, man, two boys, two girls. How many is it going to take? I feel like these poor victims are sacrificing their lives for the rest of us, because at some point, enough will be enough, and Americans are going to wake up to the terror invading our neighborhoods.
Read the full transcript
23:38Why aren't the families of these victims on every mainstream media platform and invited to tell their stories? You mentioned Lake and Riley. We only know her name because so many people outside of the mainstream media were stepping up to say it. Do you remember when, during Biden's State of the Union dress, he was essentially backed into a corner and forced to say her name? Sadly, sadly, he mispronounced it. He named a college football coach. That tells you everything you should know about this issue. And another thing is telling. Her family was invited to that State of the Union address, and they chose not to attend.
24:11But you know where they did show up? For Trump, when they were invited to the chamber by him. One party grieves the victims of heinous crimes committed by whether it's illegals or repeat criminals. The other side enables it. Darryl, I mean, none of this should surprise us, right? I mean, particularly after the last State of the Union where Trump basically was the lowest hanging fruit possible. Stand up if you're here to represent the people of America. And I think maybe Fetterman stood up, but no other Democrats stood up. Yeah. You know, I often tell my audience that Democrats are bat crap crazy.
24:41I don't want to curse on your show here. We're trying to limit it. You can if you have to, but we've been trying to limit it. Yeah. And so the craziness actually manifests itself in fatal outcomes. I actually have a term here. It's called fatal empathy at this point because they claim they're empathizing with criminals. But what they're doing is that empathy turns into fatal outcomes for the American citizen. And the other thing is there are countless victims that we still don't even know about. These are just names that have actually been talked about, you know, as far as the media is concerned.
25:11So, So, you know, my heart actually goes out to that family. And if we actually run the numbers, how many American citizens have actually been killed by illegal aliens? Yeah, I think that number is countless, you know, at this point. Yeah. Let's stick with a little media criticism here, and we'll connect it to where we started with the Iran war. Because the new meme in the media, even though we're only less than two weeks into this thing, is that somehow Trump doesn't know what he's doing or there was no exit plan or there is no grand plan or anything else. This is Midas touches Adam Mockler, who looks like he's 12 years old.
25:46I mean, this is CNN has just got nothing left. They're taking literal 12 year olds. And he's arguing that he's arguing that Trump has no plan with Iran. If Iran is denied a nuclear weapon, is that a good thing or a bad thing? Of course, it's a it's a good thing. Of course. Is it worth taking some strategic risk? Is it worth taking some economic risk? The word strategic. I'm going to take part of the word strategic. There was no strategy from this. Listen, is it one minute ago? How do you know? One minute ago. Are you on the phone? Are you got Pete Hegseth on that phone? I'm not. It's funny to me that one minute ago you said Senator Chris Murphy was not trustworthy.
26:18But in your mind, Pete Hegseth is trustworthy. I actually said he was partisan. Okay, but in your mind, Pete Hegseth is not partisan. And left a classified briefing just to come out and poop on the American military. Is Donald Trump partisan in his rhetoric? Gates, I guess we should be impressed that a 13-year-old is wearing a suit.
26:35Man, he's so lucky Scott Jennings wasn't on that panel. That guy did a great job, but Scott Jennings would have eaten his lunch with him. Well, just the general notion, though, that they're just going into this thing having no idea. I mean, we already all sort of analyzed how it has to shake out at the end, but that seems to have become the meme. Because it's going well, they can't really deny that, although they're trying a little bit. It just became a different meme, which is that they don't know what to do next. I mean, the results speak for themselves. I've already said that on this show. I mean, just judge the outcome by the inputs or judge the inputs by the outcome.
27:10And we're getting results. There hasn't been any retaliation. I'm not ignorant enough to think that there isn't some form of planned retaliation at the moment or that we may suffer retaliation. But it's nonsense to believe that Trump didn't have a plan. And that guy can say whatever he wants on CNN. But look at the meteoric rise of Marco Rubio in the public's eye since all this began. And it's very clear that we have a strategic genius in the White House in Marco Rubio. He's getting a lot of people. He's risen up sort of neck and neck with J.D. Vance and who will be the next Republican nominee for president.
27:45And I think it's all because he has a strategic plan and he knows how to execute on it. Daivari, is that the crazy part here? That I, in my entire life, I have no recollection of an administration being so clear about what their goals are. Like, when you hear Trump go out, and, you know, Trump does it in his Trumpy way, but then Rubio really lays out cleanly and clearly what we're doing. Hegseth, in his press conferences, it could not be more direct or real. And they're still saying it. So they're going to say it no matter what, I guess, is the point. Yeah, well, to Gates's point here, Adam is not in the room.
28:19None of us are. And, you know, this is the problem with pundits and journalists is they say a lot of things, but they were never actually in the room and privy to that information. So, you know, if you're 13 years old, you think you'd be humble enough to just say the words, I don't know, but I guess not. And here's the other thing. Based on his logic, that implies that every four-star general or captain or commander, I guess, is just winging it. I mean, how disrespectful is it to our men and women when you're speaking that way? If you want to argue what's going on in Iran, just argue the merits.
28:53But don't start talking like that. Right. And look, at the end of the day, we all have to choose to whether believe people or not. To me, it seems at this point, Trump, Hegseth, Rubio, J.D., they deserve some level of our trust. Does Dan Goldman, who's lied about everything around Trump for the last decade, deserve our trust? I don't think so. Another place that doesn't deserve our trust is the New York Times. And as you guys know, there was a terrorist attack outside of Gracie Mansion this week. Look at this headline and image from the New York Times. Who are the men accused of bringing homemade bombs to Gracie Mansion?
29:30Navari, that seems like a bit more than accused right there. You could just say they brought him. You're not going to get in any legal trouble. Yeah. See, it's a gift and a curse. It's a gift because people like you, Dave, and Gates and myself, it gives us the opportunity to show people the alternative side to this, which is usually the actual truth. And it's a curse because people still eat up that stuff. I mean, it's terrible when they're sympathetic to terrorists. I mean, the mayor of New York City has yet to actually call them terrorists or even acknowledge that it was a terrorism in front of his mansion there.
30:07In fact, he focused more on the words white supremacy and not actually the people who went there to kill innocent American citizens. So I think we actually know what's what's happening here. Yeah, I mean, nothing around Mom Domi should surprise us. Right, Gates? I keep seeing all these people that are surprised. Oh, his wife's liking October 7th post. That just broke this week. And everyone's outraged. I'm like, are you surprised? They obviously support it. It's not it's like that's not surprising. We can talk about Mom Domi all day. He's earning the nickname Bomb Dommy after this event. I hope we touch on him in a little bit.
30:40I'd rather talk about him in light of the reaction to the law enforcement that saved lives that day. But I want to go back to that image. We've heard of a smoking gun, right? That's an old saying. Look at the picture. This guy had a smoking bomb. It's in his hand. I mean, you don't accuse someone of something. You don't say someone was accused of something when we have photo evidence. What angers me most about the image in the post that we just put up on the screen is it's going to put my friend Seth Dillon at the Babylon Bee out of business. Because mainstream media has turned so satirical that we don't need the Babylon Bee anymore.
31:12I'm sorry, Seth, I love it. And of course, I'm sure you guys covered it as well. We covered the fact that CNN put up a story about how they were just two young guys on a nice spring day coming into the city. And then everything went haywire. Dave, I plagiarized your social media and just moved it all over to mine for a day. Your clips covering that were hilarious. And I shared it with so many people. You guys know how it is. You live in the burbs. you just get on the train that you're going to go in for a soda and a hot dog and maybe, you know, bomb some people, whatever it is. You know, on a more depressing version of all of this, I mean, we know it's happening in New York, but a lot of the rhetoric around what's happened in the Middle East, and I would say partially connected to Tucker and some of the other things, has just ramped up the hate on the Jews.
31:55And this is an incident in San Jose, California. This is a couple guys attacking a guy. All he was doing was speaking Hebrew. That's it. Take a look.
32:21okay so by all accounts all the guy was doing was speaking hebrew um in a weird way this shouldn't surprise us because this is sort of where we are at with things it's worth noting that this is ro O 'Connor's district. I've had Ro on the show many times. Half of his Twitter, I mean, literally every other one of his tweets is about Israel or AIPAC or something like that. He was recently on stage at the Arab American something or other where they were quite literally the people before him were laughing about October 7th. Are we just, is this just the new norm now, Daivari? Are we just in the new norm of where these things are going to be happening?
32:56Yeah, you know, it goes back to what we learned with the president, derangement syndrome, just, you know, put Israel or put whatever you want. I mean, ultimately, it lacks critical thinking. And that's essentially what's happening here. I mean, if you don't see it from New York City or Austin or New Orleans or D.C. at this point, their first step in response to things they don't like about Western civilization is violence. And who continues to be sympathetic to that violence? Democrats. So I think as critical thinkers, we not only have to continue to call it out, but bring more attention to it because it's becoming a dangerous thing for innocent American citizens out there.
33:35And it's just unnecessary. Gates, I quite literally don't know if that one got any mainstream coverage. It did get coverage online, but it seems like a pretty easy lift. Like those, those three guys are all on video. This, this should be easy, right? This is the slam dunk right here. The problem is it's too easy for them to commit these attacks. We have members in the media, specifically the digital space that you and I populate normalizing this type of hatred. And they're doing it through lies and they're doing it through malicious beliefs of their own towards other members of groups. What also shocks me about, there's two things that's shocking about that video.
34:12One, that people can walk up to a man in a cafe, drag him from the table and essentially pulverize him. Two, that no one came to his defense. I know if I was sitting at that lunch table, I would get up and fight for that man's life. When you see bullies, you bully the bully, but that didn't happen. And I think there's a lot of reasons for that. We've sort of been conditioned to look down and watch the world through a screen. And when these things happen in our lives, we don't know how to react to them anymore. But I know this country, the majority of people in this country are good Samaritans and we need to have the courage to see evil and know evil and recognize it and fight even when we see it.
34:45Yeah. You know, I'm glad you brought that up. You know, we're sort of conditioned with the screens and we're all living in like an alternate matrix while reality's happening right in front of us. But the other part of that, Daivari, you know, everyone says, you know, if you see something, say something. But now people are afraid to, it's one thing to do something would have been great if somebody would have jumped in there and been like, they're pummeling this guy for no reason. But people don't want to deal with the headache after that. They don't want to be dealt with, oh, suddenly it turns out you're going to be called racist.
35:12CNN's going to throw you on the front page and say that you're somehow a white supremacist, or just like the laundry list of insanity. And the longer that goes on, it just degrades all of our ability to kind of be in a society together. Well, I said it earlier, fatal empathy. If we go back to that, I mean, when someone's afraid to do the right thing because they're going to get prosecuted, I think that tells you it's a society that is in trouble. Now, Now, out here in Austin, we're actually experiencing the same thing. The local DA is prosecuting the police officers who actually killed that terrorist at that Austin bar.
35:46Why would he be investigating him? I think he has better things to actually do. But, again, I think that's a prime example of exactly what you're speaking towards. And it's a troubling sign. We've seen it in North Carolina. We saw it in New York. And now we're seeing it here. Yeah, by the way, I'm glad you mentioned the Austin thing because we're literally less than two weeks from a jihadist attack that killed two people, injured 14. And it just moves on. Then it's like, all right, well, then there's the jihadi attack at Gracie Mansion and there'll be another one tomorrow and everything else. But, you know, everyone that watches the show knows I can't end the show on bad news.
36:22So I thought this would be a nice way of wrapping it up because even in New York where so much has been destroyed so quickly, Here is video of police chief, New York City police chief Aaron Edwards. And there was the spectacular picture of him jumping the little barricade there when the bomb was thrown in, which we'll show you. But here he is talking about what happened. In that moment, you know, we had to pivot from one type of policing to a different type of policing. And I think the way that we transitioned was really good. In terms of going viral, first off, I'm happy that I cleared that barrier.
36:57okay imagine if I fell you know but to me that it was just things that I'm trying I'm trying to get the bad guy you know you know I was in I was in real pursuit trying to get him and just you know the picture going viral you know I I don't want that picture to be about me I want it to be about the day I wanted to be about what we did you know I want that picture to to be a reminder to New Yorkers that you know your cops the members of the NYPD you know we're gonna to be relentless in pursuing justice, right? And there's going to be no obstacles. Nothing's going to stand in our way from protecting New Yorkers.
37:32Guys, I think you can see why I wanted to end the week on that. It's a good reminder that for all of the craziness in New York, there still are good people. Unfortunately, the cops obviously don't get the backing from the administration. They should, but that guys like him are out there and doing it. It gives you a little hope, doesn't it, Gates? Oh my gosh. First of all, as we sit here in the middle of NFL free agency and I watch my Tampa Bay Buccaneers continue to sign nobody to the team. I want that guy. That guy's an athlete. I want that guy on my team. We'll take him. Look, I'm going to break some news here.
38:02Civilization only works because someone is willing to risk their lives to stand in between order and chaos. And when the mayor of your city campaigns on defunding the police, common sense Americans back the blue. The left has spent years trying to tear down the police, but the American people know better, Dave. You know better. Daivari knows better. And you know what else is important? Gratitude. Officer Edwards prevented a bomb from blowing up outside the mayor's house. And in his press conference, the mayor doesn't even mention him. You know, Dave, you know what I wanted to be when I grew up, when I was little, when I wanted to be when I grew up?
38:33A cop. You know what one of my sons was for Halloween last year? A cop. That's the type of gratitude and the recognition we need to be giving to the heroes that keep our lives safe on a daily basis. And by the way, it's worth mentioning that that night, instead of inviting that cop over for dinner, that Mamdami had Mahmoud Khalil, who was the non-citizen who was leading the Columbia protests, river to the sea, you know, keeping students off campus, et cetera. You said we were going to end the week on some good news, man. Come on. Oh, sorry. I just switched it. Now I put a lot of pressure on you, Daivari.
39:06Come on. Happiness. Happiness on this weekend. Come on. No, it's all good. Listen, I'm grateful that there are police officers still out there willing to do the job, even though they don't get the actual credit. And I'm grateful that we have a president who's willing to do the right thing, even when things get tough and everybody continues to slam him and say he doesn't know what he's doing. And Dave and Gates, I'm grateful for you guys having me here on the show. All right. We did it, guys. Well, I'm grateful for both of you. You're welcome back anytime. I'm going to let you guys go. And it's time for This Week on the Internet.
39:41Thank you. Thank you, please. Thank you. Thank you. Sit down. Sit down. Make yourselves comfortable. I'm Dave Rubin. And this week on the Internet, please, thank you. Thank you. This week on the Internet, Majtava Khomeini was appointed to succeed his dead father as Iran's supreme leader. Trump said he was not happy that the younger Khomeini was chosen and dismissed him as a lightweight. When I heard that, I thought Trump was just talking smack. I didn't realize he was being literal. Because at the succession rally held for Khomeini, they trotted out a cardboard cutout of the new Supreme Leader, as you just saw.
40:21It's always hard to tell how the war is going. News reports say this, news reports say that. But you know it's never a good sign when the new face of your regime joins the cast of South Park. They say he's recovering from injuries from the strike that killed his father, but my guess is, well, he's doing something rather haram down there. Geez,
40:49where have I seen this guy before? Oh, right. Home Alone.
40:57And as terror attacks occurred outside Gracie Mansion, Moran Zamboni, the mayor of New York City, had dinner with the illegal jihadist behind the Columbia pro-Hamas protests. Mamdani writes,
41:16Hey, Moran, I think you forgot the part where Mahmoud did this.
41:27Courage indeed. Then, of course, people noticed that Zorhan's wife happened to like a bunch of posts celebrating October 7th. And what was his response? My wife is a private person. She's also a private person. You know, if your defense is my wife's a private person, then maybe don't let that private person have 2 million followers on Instagram. That's not private. That's like a small country with Wi-Fi. I remember the good old days when it was these two making money off privacy. And speaking of Hollywood hollows, this week on the internet, Margot Robbie looks unrecognizable after what many fans speculate could be Ozempic.
42:09Yeah, it's Ozempic. At this point, the Oscars shouldn't give out best actress. They should just give out best before and after. Here's the problem with Ozempic. It makes everyone I know have that same look like Gollum protecting his precious little ring of carbs. At this point, the end of their commercial should go like this. Side effects of Ozempic may include shrinking eyes, rotten teeth, and the urge to lunge at furry-footed midgets. Ask your doctor if working out is not right for you. And the craziest part is the message. For decades, the insult was, you're fat because you're lazy. Now, if you're still fat in America, you're not lazy.
42:50You're just uninsured. There was a big uproar on the internet this week after Timothee Chalamet's remarks that no one cares about the ballet or opera. And I don't want to be working in ballet or opera or, you know, things where it's like, hey, keep this thing alive, even though it's like no one cares about this anymore. The ballet community was especially furious. They responded by doing what they do best, standing on their toes and looking extremely disappointed. Got it? Because their toes are pointed. That'll write your own show. This week, Trump is polling people in his inner circle about whether they like J.D.
43:31or Marco better for 2028. They say he can't stop asking the question and is asking everyone, advisors, confidants, his hairstylist, even the guy who installed the Diet Coke button on his desk. Advisors say Trump's dream ticket is a Vance-Rubio pairing. Interesting, because whenever I think of a dream ticket, I usually go back to WrestleMania. One hundred percent. I will kick your ass. And maybe that's how Trump should solve this 2028 dilemma. Throw J.D. and Marco into the ring. A little kayfabe, anyone? And that's This Week on the Internet, where jihadist politicians have dinner with illegals and then tell us their influencer wives are just private people.
44:12Where Hollywood celebrities are disappearing faster than Iranian leaders. And where the New York Times looks at a guy holding a smoking Looney Tunes bomb and says he's merely accused of bringing one. If that's the case, this guy was merely accused of troubling his ex-wife. Apparently nothing you see on the internet means what it actually is anymore. Because the internet didn't break reality. it just made it obvious that everyone is lying about it. And that is This Week on the Internet.
