In short

Dave Rubin discusses the third reported assassination attempt on Donald Trump, focusing on the White House Correspondents’ Dinner shooting, Trump’s immediate press remarks, and what Rubin argues is dangerous political rhetoric and online radicalization.

Guest backgrounds

No guests appear in the transcript. Rubin interviews/quotes public figures including Trump and Norah O’Donnell; he also references Hassan Piker (Twitch/online left influencer), Jimmy Kimmel, and the Lincoln Project.

Key claims

Rubin argues the country has become “numb” to repeated attempts; Trump’s calm shows resignation to danger. He claims the shooter’s ideology was shaped by left-wing online ecosystems and media narratives. He argues releasing manifestos risks “steroids” for copycats. He also claims “explaining away murder” normalizes vigilante violence.

Notable examples

Shooter identified as Cole Allen (31, Torrance, computer scientist; Caltech mechanical engineering; NASA JPL research; C2 Education; donated $25 to Kamala Harris). Rubin reads parts of Allen’s manifesto prioritizing targets and claiming Trump was the goal. Rubin cites Hassan Piker’s comments about morally justifying murder and connects this to Brian Thompson’s killing and October 7th. He also cites Jimmy Kimmel jokes about Melania and Stephen Miller.

0:00I've tried a lot of seafood over the years, guys, and truly it's been hit or miss. You know, sometimes it looks great, but then you cook it and it just doesn't have that flavor or freshness you expect. So finding something reliable has made a huge difference. Wild Alaskan Company really changed that for me. It's the best way to receive high-quality, wild-caught seafood delivered right to your door on your schedule. The first box I got was super easy to use. Everything comes individually portioned and vacuum sealed, so there's no guesswork. I cooked that wild Alaskan sockeye salmon just in a pan with a little olive oil, salt, and pepper, and it turned out fantastic.

0:34Clean flavor, great texture, and didn't feel like frozen fish at all. I've also tried the wild Pacific cod, which I love. It's light and flaky and really easy to work in when you need a quick dinner. What stood out is that the fish is quick frozen right after it's caught in Alaska, so it locks in that freshness along with the nutrients like omega-3s, and it's clean. no GMOs, no antibiotics, no additives, and it supports sustainable fishing and Alaskan fishermen. They're so confident in the quality that there's 100 % satisfaction, money-back guarantee, so there's no risk in trying it. Go to wildalaskan.com slash Rubin for$35 off your first order of premium wild-caught seafood.

1:45The SPLC secretly donated funds to white supremacist and extremist groups. Bert, you're a racist. Where's my money then? Brian Thompson was engaging in a tremendous amount of social murder. I'm buying guns after the show. Why do you think he's your kind of man? She's the librarian from hell.

2:26All right, guys, how you doing? I'm Dave Rubin. This is The Rubin Report. It is April 27th, 2026. And do you think we have anything to talk about today? Like, subscribe, comment, all that stuff. You know, before we dive into the show, which obviously you know what we're talking about for the most part today, it's the another, the third now assassination, at least third assassination attempt on Donald Trump's life. I just want to mention two things real quick, just relative to the temperature of the country and how we suddenly become numb to these things. So we had quite a weekend over here. The kids caught a stomach bug, and there's been a lot of diarrhea and vomiting and all that.

3:05And the reason I am mentioning that to you is that after a weekend of that, so Saturday night, I'm putting them down. It's just rough. Anyone that's had kids, you've been through all this. and then I get a text. My phone started blowing up like at around 10 o 'clock, you know, saying what had happened and I'm looking on Twitter and my reaction after just a long day of like cleaning up poop and vomit and everything, I was like, all right, if Trump's okay, I'm going to bed. And then that brings me to the second point, which is that we've become so normalized to this that it's like, I was like, all right, well, if he's alive, I'll go to bed, but imagine if it had been the other way, what the world would look like right now.

3:44And I don't think we're thinking about that enough, that we could just be like, oh, another assassination attempt. Oh, there was another guy that brought a gun to the golf course. Oh, another guy shot him here. This person had this plan or the rhetoric, blah, blah, blah. But imagine if it went the other way. We would be in, to call it, unchartered territory right now. What I would be talking about right now, what we would all be going through right now, what would be happening quite literally across the globe right now is unimaginable. And yet there is something in play that is making everything that leads up to it normal.

4:18So I want to just put that there as the backdrop. We're now going to dive into what happened, some of the media coverage around it, which surprise, surprise, not so good. And then Trump doing Trump, which is just giving a press conference right after, doing media hits and everything else. So let's dive in. First video, I'm sure you've seen some versions of this. There's a bunch of different angles coming out. Here is video of Trump and guests at the White House Correspondents' Dinner when the shots were fired.

4:47**isculeスト I need to copy more onゲーム這樣子**

5:09Okay, so the shots obviously were fired outside of the room. We'll have more on the shooter and some of the things that happened and potentially how he coordinated some of this and everything else. But you could see Trump, you know, when you see the Secret Service guys jump in, And Trump just constantly maintains a certain level of calm amongst all of this. I think he's just resigned himself, and we'll show you some of the interview in a little bit, resigned himself to the fact that this is, in some sense, baked into being the president of the United States. And that's really dangerous. So anyway, they dragged him, obviously, off the dais.

5:42Here's a couple pictures. You'll see Mike Johnson being rushed out. There are just some Secret Service agents, obviously, helping people. And then there's Bobby Kennedy and his wife, Cheryl Hines, being rushed out. And then I really thought this probably is the picture of the entire thing, at least in terms of not involving Trump. There's Stephen Miller, and you can see his arm over his pregnant wife. And in the background, you can see Pete Hegseth and just that look on his face. And he's standing above his wife. A lot of people were saying that Hegseth has the look of a guy that's like, damn, I wish I had brought my gun to this thing.

6:17But I thought that image right there, you know, these are two top guys in the administration who people say all sorts of horrible, horrible things about, some of which we'll cover in a bit. And there they are taking care of their wives. Let's read a truth from Donald Trump. Quite an evening in D.C., Secret Service and law enforcement did a fantastic job. They acted quickly and bravely. The shooter has been apprehended, and I have recommended that we let the show go on, but will entirely be guided by law enforcement. They will make a decision shortly. Regardless of that decision, the evening will be much different than planned and we'll just plain have to do it again, President Donald J.

6:53Trump. The fact that he even gets out there and immediately afterwards is like, the show must go on. That is quintessential Donald Trump. Oh, somebody was just trying to shoot me. They were just in the room over there. We've been through this a couple times. Let's just see what happens and hopefully we can put on a show. I mean, that's not how most people behave. Here is Trump on the shooting. That was very unexpected, but incredibly acted upon by Secret Service and law enforcement. And this was an event dedicated to freedom of speech that was supposed to bring together members of both parties with members of the press.

7:39And in a certain way, it did. because the fact that they just unified, I saw a room that was just totally unified. It was, in one way, very beautiful, a very beautiful thing to see. One officer was shot, but saved by the fact that he was wearing, obviously, a very good bulletproof vest. He was shot from very close distance with a very powerful gun, and the vest did the job. I just spoke to the officer and he's doing great. He's in great shape. All right, so as usual, it's just Trump calm, cool, and collected, explaining what happened. Just as a sidebar, I was invited to the event this year. I've been invited the last couple of years.

8:22I almost ended up going this year. And you just, when you look at all those people, you know, I always say it's like, sometimes when you talk about these political people, it's like the Muppet show. Like, you know, in the Muppets, oh, there's Kermit and there's Gonzo and Fozzie Bear. And who do you like? Miss Piggy. Miss Piggy, that's right. And all these people, they kind of become that. Like, are they real people or are they just kind of Muppets in that? And I guess I'm one of the Muppets to some extent, but these are real people. And any, you know, a lot of times in assassination attempts, they don't get the main guy they're going for.

8:54They get somebody else, some other random person. Here is Trump. I thought this was, well, this is, again, this is quintessential. That's the word of the day. This is quintessential Donald Trump on why these attempts keep happening to him. I ask respectfully, why do you think this keeps happening to you? Well, you know, I've studied assassinations. And I must tell you, the most impactful people, the people that do the most, you take a look at the people, Abraham Lincoln, I mean, you go through the people that have gone through this, where they got them. But the people that do the most, the people that make the biggest impact, they're the ones that they go after.

9:40They don't go after the ones that don't do much because they like it that way. There are a lot of people that are not happy about that. So I think that's the answer, Peter. I think that's true, right? If Donald Trump was just generic politician 101, right, wouldn't even matter Republican or Democrat, but just not doing much. If the system was just kind of the way it was and it was just slowly being turned up on us, we were all just frogs in an ever so slightly warmer pot, then probably people wouldn't be so ginned up to do these things. But he is consequential. Actually, I would say he's the most consequential human being in modern times.

10:25And he's pissing off a lot of people by doing things a little bit differently. He's pissing off a lot of people by draining the swamp, calling out the nonsense of the mainstream media, getting us out of these ridiculous globalist order situations that we've been in post-World War II, telling our allies they have to behave, doing more for the people as opposed to the powers that be. Like, he's doing all of the things, and that obviously is a threat. And then, of course, when you just add in the way the media has lied about him and the you know, Russia, Russia, Russia, and very fine people. And he's a pedophile and all of these other things.

11:01Like when you add all of that up, it might be enough of a toxic stew for somebody who's been so brainbroken to believe that Trump is the bad guy to want to go out and kill him. So not only did he do a press conference the very night of this thing, then he went on with Norah O'Donnell for a one-on-one interview. And again, watch just like calm, cool, and collected. How worried were you that there were going to be injuries? I wasn't worried. I understand life. We live in a crazy world. That's an interesting answer. That's a really interesting answer. How worried are you that there were going to be injuries?

11:42Well, the obvious, like most people would be like, I was very worried. I heard a shot and I thought somebody might be killed. Maybe there were more shooters. I was worried for myself. I was worried for my wife or whatever. His response to say we live in a crazy world, I think is really telling of where he's at psychologically at the moment. And again, he's not, he didn't sit there with notes. Remember Joe Biden always had a little note card and often would get things wrong despite the note card. He's not doing this off the prompter and he's doing this right after the attempt. And his response is the world is nutty.

12:14And what that really is saying is I'm out here doing the best I can. I'm the president of the United States and I'm trying to make America great again. And there is bad stuff that's out there. And he's really, actually this is what it is. What he's really saying is I'm gonna do what I gotta do regardless of the consequences. Knowing that those consequences could be quite horrific. And I think that's just another level of, you know, when you talk about the difference between Trump 45, his first go around, and this Trump, post-Butler assassination, post the gunman at Trump Doral over here in Florida, post this, there's a certain acceptance of what his role is in this world that he has taken on.

13:00And I genuinely think, like tell me what you think in the comments, but I genuinely think he wakes up and he's like, what can I do for the country? And I don't think he thinks about all the horrible things, well, certainly that they say about him all the time, but I don't think that he thinks about all the horrible things they could do to him all the time either, because how could you function? How could you actually get out there and do anything if you were constantly worried about that? And clearly that seems to be increasing, the general threat level. So now let's show you a little more granular stuff on the shooter and what happened.

13:33So here's footage of the shooter sprinting past Secret Service, right, as the whole thing was unfolding.

13:53Okay, so you can see this guy's quick. We'll show you more on him in just a second, but you can see Secret Service immediately on it. Here, this is the image. I mean, this is your image of the year. Do they do that still with Time Magazine or whatever it is? But this is the image of the year. That's Trump and much of the cabinet right there. You can see Marco and Stephen Miller and Hegseth, and there's JD in the back and Mark Wayne Mullen, et cetera, Scambino's over there. They're all just watching this thing unfold. This is just moments after. They're still all in their tuxedos right after. And then here's Trump even just again, right after this thing with kind of a little bit of humor as it relates to the shooter.

14:32I say it because I'm a big fan of the people of law enforcement and some of these people, they may be crazy, but they're not stupid and they figure things out. He ran 45 yards, they say, and he just went to it and then, boom, he popped through it. I mean, he ran like, I think the NFL should sign him up. He was fast. When you look at it on tape, it's almost like a blur. Right. But it was amazing because as soon as they saw that, you could see them draw their guns. They were so professional. Aim their guns and then they took them down immediately. Still waiting in line? Again? That's time you'll never get back.

The guy should be in the NFL, but really they're crediting the people who then saved his life and probably multiple other lives. You just saw it there, but here's the image of the shooter.

15:50His name is Cole Allen, stripped and on the floor. Now we'll give you a little bit more information on this guy. This is from Fox. The man accused of opening fire at the Washington Hilton Hotel during the White House Correspondents' Dinner has been identified as Cole Allen, 31, a computer scientist from Torrance, California, who went from designing first-person shooter games into becoming an alleged shooter himself. In September 2013, according to his online profile, he enrolled in the highly competitive California Institute of Technology, known as Caltech, to pursue a BS in mechanical engineering, graduating in 2017.

16:24Caltech confirmed to Fox News Digital that a student named Cole Allen graduated from the school in 2017. In the summer of 2014, he wrote that he landed another competitive spot as a summer undergraduate research student fellow at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, where he said he had contributed to astrophysics research. Beginning in March 2020, his LinkedIn profile says he joined the C2 Education, a tutoring company enrolling in California State University, Dominguez Hills in 2022 to pursue an MS in computer science graduating in May 2025. The school also confirmed that a person by the same name graduated with a master's degree that year.

17:01According to Federal Election Commission records, Allen donated$25 to Kamala Harris during the 2024 election cycle. So there's a couple of interesting things there. I mean, you look at the image of the guy, he looks just, you know, kind of like a normal guy that you'd bump into on any given day. He clearly was very bright and he seemingly had a great education, at least in the most standard sense of what education is, and had probably a bright future and plenty of jobs lined up. A guy that's got that kind of pedigree, you're set up for the future as AI comes and everything else. The$25 to Kamala Harris, that in and of itself obviously doesn't mean anything.

17:38But there is something interesting about the fact that he was into these shooter games because these first-person shooter games are getting more and more realistic by the day. And there is some level of radicalization. I am in no way blaming video games for this. But there is some level of radicalization that is happening on these online video game forums and things of that nature. So now they did release his manifesto. And I'm gonna read some of it. And before I do, I just wanna talk about the philosophic notion behind releasing these things or not releasing these things. On one hand, you can make the argument you should release their manifestos because we want as much transparency to know why these people did it, or at least why they claim to do it.

18:21On the other hand, by releasing these manifestos, you're sort of putting their ideas on steroids. You're giving credence and credit to their ideas. Also, they could be making up things in the manifesto that aren't clear. They could be sending signals to people and everything else. So there's a tension, I would say, between being as transparent as possible. Should we release the manifesto? Here's in their own words why this person did this or why they claim to have done it versus are we amplifying this enough so that someone else might be like, you know what, I'll try it too because I'd love my words to be heard.

18:58Are you giving basically steroids to all of the crazy people who just want to be known for something? And by the way, a lot of the shooters, when it comes to high-profile people, you find out psychologically they just wanted to be famous. They wanted to be known for something in the history books. So I think you're gonna have a seriously valid and valuable conversation about whether you release them or not. Nonetheless, it has been released, so let's dive in a little bit. This is an image, and I'll read a bit. Hello, everybody. So I may have given a lot of people a surprise today. Let me start off by apologizing to everyone whose trust I abused.

19:33I apologize to my parents for saying I had an interview without specifying it was for most wanted. I apologize to my colleagues and students for saying I had a personal emergency. By the time anyone reads this, I probably most certainly do need to go to the ER, but can hardly call that a non-inflicted status. I apologize to all the people I traveled next to, all the workers who handled my luggage, and all the other non-targeted people at the hotel who I put in danger by simply being near. I apologize to everyone who was abused and or murdered before this, to all those who suffered before I was able to attempt this, to all who may still suffer after, regardless of my success or failure.

20:11I don't expect forgiveness, but if I could have seen any other way to get this close, I would have taken it. Again, my sincere apologies. On to why I did any of this. I am a citizen of the United States of America. What my representatives do reflects on me. and I am no longer willing to permit a pedophile, rapist, and traitor to coat my hands with his crimes. Well, to be completely honest, I was no longer willing a long time ago, but this is the first opportunity I've had to do something about it. Okay, so we'll get into a little bit more of the apparent ideology in just a sec, but I think it's worth noting one of the interesting things around these people.

20:47You know, the guy who killed Charlie Kirk, Tyler Robinson, you know, apparently Charlie was in this trans relationship and didn't like that Charlie talked about trans people. This guy has his reasonings for Trump. And what happens to these people who've become radicalized, and I'm sure we're going to find out more about how it happened online and everything else, is that they start thinking, boy, if I just kill this person, it will somehow solve something. But if you look at the world post Charlie Kirk's assassination, well, in many cases, you can argue that politically things have gotten much worse for sure, particularly in a certain segment of the right.

21:24But did the assassination of Charlie Kirk do anything to help the cause of, let's say, trans rights that Tyler Robinson wanted? Of course not. Absolutely nothing. If anything, you could argue it the complete other way. More people are now looking at this set of people with the skeptical eye, at the very least. Now let's imagine that this guy, Cole Allen, had killed Donald Trump. would it have stopped any of the things that he doesn't like about Donald Trump? The answer to that is obviously no. It actually would have probably caused a much bigger reaction to his ideology, which it probably should have, right?

22:04So there's a confusion with all of these people. And I think that shows you a little bit of the mania and the psychological defect behind these people. I can solve all of the world's problems by murdering somebody who I'm against. And there's just no evidence, beyond the fact that you shouldn't kill other people and everything else. There's just no evidence, but they become so caught up in that fever dream of what they could do and who they are and what their place is, and that they'll be famous after and everything else, that they do the unthinkable. Here's just a little bit more from the manifesto.

22:39While I'm discussing this, I'll also go over my expected rules of engagement, probably in a terrible format, but I'm not military, so too bad. Administration officials, not including Mr. Patel, they are targets prioritized from highest ranking to lowest secret service. They are targets only if necessary and to be incapacitated non-lethally if possible, aka I hope they're wearing body armor because center mass with shotguns messes up people who aren't hotel security. Not targets, if at all possible, aka unless they shoot at me. Capitol Police, same as hotel security. National Guard, same as hotel security.

23:15Hotel employees, not targets at all. Guests, not targets at all. In order to minimize casualties, I will also be using a buckshot rather than slugs, less penetration through walls. I would still go through most everyone here to get to the targets if it were absolutely necessary on the basis that most people chose to attend a speech by a pedophile rapist and traitor and are thus complicit. But I really hope it doesn't come to that. My God. I mean, if you wanna get now to some of the psychological damage that this guy had. So he has a list basically of who he's willing to kill and in kind of what order he has decided he will kill so that he can get to Trump.

23:54So he doesn't really wanna kill a hotel employee. Hotel security might be a little more complicit and secret services certainly a little more complicit and people that are in the administration are a little more complicit. And he doesn't wanna kill any of these people, including the guests, but he basically says at the end, if I have to kill guests to get to Trump, I will kill guests. And of course the ultimate irony of that is most of the people at the White House Correspondents Dinner are Democrats. They are against Trump. It's a lot of mainstream media people. So what he's saying is, I'll kill a couple MSNBC people who are on my side of all of these issues if it's in service of killing the president of the United States.

24:35Okay, let's just go through a couple of this guy's tweets now as well. This is November 16th, 2024. And again, look at this guy. He could be anybody, right? Like this guy looks like anybody that you might see at a cafe or be at work with or anything else. November 16th, 2024. Leaving for bluer skies as soon as I get my data archived, I don't think there's much reason to be on here anymore. So is that some sort of hint that he's been thinking about killing himself or killing somebody else? And by the way, he's referencing, it's a reference to blue sky, leaving for bluer skies. He put that on Twitter.

25:10Blue sky is sort of left wing Twitter. It's kind of a mental, a self-imposed mental institution. Here's November 12th, 2024. The only thing humorous about America, not having learned from Germany about what happens to Nazis, what happens when Nazis get elected is that Russia may not have learned from the USSR about what happens when makes agreements with the Nazis. So the language is a little screwy, but again, here he is basically saying America is Nazis under Trump. And November 4th, 2024, based on Iowa, predicting that Kamala wins all swing states and at least three red states. Now, the reason I'm showing you that one, that one is just purely a political prediction that he got wrong, but it kind of shows you perhaps a little bit of the ecosystem that he was in, thinking that Kamala would win all of the swing states and everything else when obviously she won none of the swing states.

25:58So he was really in sort of this blue sky leftist bubble that would lead to a lot of the thoughts around Donald Trump. This is also quite good. A little bit more from the Norah O'Donnell interview. Here is Norah telling Trump that Cole attended one of the No Kings protests. I mention that because, again, as his motive, you brought this up. He had social media accounts that had anti-Trump and anti-Christian rhetoric. You should read, why don't you read all the anti-Trump? Why don't you read it? You just did, so why don't you read it? Well, he had a lot of anti-Christian rhetoric. He was part of a group called the Wide Awakes.

26:40He had attended a No Kings protest in California. No Kings. What did security tell you about what may have been his motives? The reason you have people like that is you have people doing No Kings. I'm not a king. What I am, if I was a king, I wouldn't be dealing with you.

26:57Like, thank you, Trump, for the jokes on a day like this, right? If I was a king, I wouldn't be dealing with you. And that is the truth. He wouldn't be. He wouldn't be putting up with this. I also like the fact that he said to her, why don't you read some of his tweets about me, which apparently she didn't have on fire or anything. But you can see how someone that is in this kind of leftist bubble ecosystem, being radicalized by mainstream media, thinking all of these horrible things about Donald Trump. And by the way, the rest of us, what did Donald Trump say years ago? They're coming for you.

27:28I'm just standing in the way. I think that notion is becoming way more obvious these days. But you could see how somebody that seemingly young guy looks pretty normal, good education, seemingly will have a good career and everything else, and then gets sucked in to this evil, toxic space, and then is ready to do the unthinkable. and at the same time have a freaking list on who he will kill that he doesn't even consider guilty in order to serve his goals. So now I want to connect this to something we covered last week. As a matter of fact, the video I'm about to show you, and this is obviously before this assassination temp, we showed three times.

28:07I showed it once on the show, I think around Tuesday. We covered it again on the panel show on Friday. And then we also covered it on my other show, Actual Friends with Dr. Drew and Sage Steele and Jillian Michaels, because I thought it was so important to show. Now, subsequently, the assassination attempt happens. But this is this guy, Hassan Piker. I was a former colleague of him. I cannot believe I have been associated with so many awful people over the years. He is Chunk Uyghurt from the Young Turks. He is his nephew. He is an absolutely horrible person and a LARPing communist. But he is probably the most influential online lefty.

28:43You can think of all, there's all the people on the right that are online that are influential. right? And it's pretty obvious who they are. And most of them are pretty decent at their job, one way or another. There's not that many on the left. And the reason there's not that many on the left is because the left has all of the mainstream media. So there's less need for it, right? The entire right-wing ecosystem of, let's say, that I'm a part of. The only reason we became relevant is because we were the counter to the lunacy of the left. The left now has some online people, but this guy's huge.

29:09He's particularly influential with young men and video game people. And he is on Twitch and we have talked about how he has said that 9-11, America deserved 9-11, how he went to China two months ago and talked about how he's not proud of being American. We did a couple of weeks ago, he went to Cuba for basically like, you know, what would you call it? Economic tourism. It was just disgusting what he did there in the only hotel with lights on. He has called for the assassination of Rick Scott. I mean, it just goes on and on with this guy. But you know what video I'm showing you. This is Hassan Piker.

29:39Again, he is the biggest online leader of the left who is campaigning with multiple candidates and political people on the left right now, talking about how murder, how murdering your ideological opponents can be understood. 40 % of Gen Zers felt that that murder was morally justified. But it's scary to be in a society where people feel that murder is morally justified. And I'm curious how we thread that line yeah um angles wrote about the concept of social murder and brian thompson as the united healthcare ceo was engaging in a tremendous amount of social murder the systematized forms of violence uh the the structural violence of poverty i saw so many people immediately understand why this death had taken place.

30:37Even before they knew who the shooter was or what the motive was, we had universalized this pain. Okay. What he just expressed right there is one of the most dangerous ideas that can enter into an otherwise roughly healthy system. We can all disagree about stuff all day long. We can make fun of people. We can mock people. We can point out their bad ideas. We can argue with people. We can do all of that stuff. Once you start explaining away murder, because you're right. In essence, what he's saying is, I understand why this guy did it. I'm on his side, and he got pushed. Brian Thompson, whether you like Brian Thompson or not, whether you like UnitedHealthcare or not, whether you like our healthcare system overall or not, he was just a man who was leading that company.

31:31I'll be, for the purposes of this, I'll be completely ambivalent as to whether he was a good CEO or a bad CEO or anything else, or whether he cared about, you know, stockholder shares more than he cared about the patients. That is actually irrelevant. Once in a society, you say, well, you've got your grievance. You've got your grievance. You can, I kind of get it, and you can just go out there and assassinate somebody in Times Square. Well, again, did it do anything? Did Luigi Mangione killing him in cold blood do anything positive for healthcare? Of course not. That's one part of it. But also, once you do that, the crosshairs, they're on everybody.

32:12Because if you're saying, I'm so morally right and my people are so morally right, we could kill these guys, well, then everyone on the other side of you could say, boy, those people are willing to kill people. We better kill them first. So what you are doing, what this guy is doing, is opening a Pandora's box that we will never be able to close. And I suspect that box is open already, and I suspect we cannot close it now because the amount of young people who've been infected by this, what did the woman say there? What did the girl say? 40 percent, what was it, 40 percent of young people, did she say?

32:4240 percent of young people think that the murder of Brian Thompson, a United Healthcare CEO was justified. Killing a man in cold blood who's a husband and a father and everything else, doesn't matter if he's a bad businessman, you don't like what he's doing. Okay, so we will have vigilante justice in this country. We will revert ourselves back to barbarians. You want to do that? It's going to be bad for everybody. But there he is calmly communist with his$1 ,500 sunglasses or eyewear. And, you know, they soften him up for these interviews and they try to moderate him. And this is what the left does.

33:19What have I said literally countless times on the show this last year? Jordan Peterson years ago went to D.C. He kept doing it. When we were on tour, he would go back to D.C. And I kept saying it's not going to work. And he ultimately, if you watch me on his podcast from about a year ago, he admitted that I was right. I kept saying there's nothing you can do to stop what's happening to the Democrats. What you need to do is work with good Republicans. He kept asking all of these people, congressmen, senators, when does the left go too far? And he could never get anyone to say when they did. So it wasn't, oh, we're chopping off kids' genitals, that's not too far, or we're instituting racism to our institutions.

33:55He could never get anyone to say anything. So what's happening right now is that this radical communist, who is, he is just a bad human being, who is trying to upend everything that is good about this country. What will happen now is nobody on the left will stand up to him. They can't. They're afraid of him because they've unjustly attacked so many other people that they don't want him unleashing the gates of hell on them. Because think about it. Think about by the logic of what he just said right there. If AOC got up there today and was like, you know what, I actually am not going to associate with this guy anymore.

34:32America didn't deserve 9-11 and I don't think that murdering healthcare CEOs can ever be justified or anything. He will turn on her and say, well, now you're one of them. And then why wouldn't one of his acolytes kill her? So do you see what is going on here? This is the danger. And the real danger, of course, is that because they will never say enough is enough, well, then you get this. If you cared about Medicare fraud or Medicaid fraud, you would kill Rick Scott, okay? You wouldn't make Rick Scott, former governor of Florida, Rick Scott. you wouldn't make him the the uh current what is his current office what is he he's the richard lynn scott is an american attorney businessman politician navy veteran serving as the senior united states senator from florida uh seat he has held since 2019 and also i believe this past election cycle he was literally the the f***ing head of the what was it like the senate committee oh so you would kill rick scott senator from florida if if you were upset about health care or whatever else.

35:33Now you might say, all right, he's being facetious or whatever. It's free speech. I mean, free speech is not about the direct threat of violence. But again, you also have to remember, he's talking, he's doing most of this stuff on Twitch where he's making, people think he's worth about$12 million, you know, another great communist, 12 million bucks. But he's talking to 15 year olds and radicalizing 15 year olds whose other institutions, their education institutions and everything else have failed them. So they're turning to someone like him. But the real problem when they don't know how to stop from going too far is this.

36:07You get this guy campaigning with these people. Look, there he is with Ro Khanna. There he is with Bernie Sanders and AOC. There he is with Ilhan Omar. There he is with Mamdami. So you tell me, Democrats, how do you differ from him in any way? and I don't even mean in a weird way, I don't even want to make this about him, right? He now just represents something that's in the system that they are now going to lose control over. They have never been willing every time for the last 10 years, it's over 10 years, that since Donald Trump came down that escalator, every time that things haven't gone their way, you might've thought that the Democrats before they went all completely insane would have said, boy, you know, Donald Trump ended up president.

36:56I don't know how that happened. You know, Ted Cruz was running against him. We could have dealt with that. Or Marco Rubio or Jeb! We could have done some of those guys. But Donald freaking Trump ended up as president. We might want to take stock of what we've been doing. We might want to see maybe calling everybody racist isn't a great idea. Maybe calling everyone a Nazi isn't a great idea. But every time they subsequently get worse, and that's why they cannot disassociate themselves from this. Well, my understanding is that the property owners who have properties there choose just not to rent it at all.

37:25Yeah, kill them. Kill those motherfuckers and murder those motherfuckers in the street. Let the streets soak in their red capitalist bloods, dude. Bernie, you want to say something? AOC, you want to say something? You guys want to keep campaigning with this guy? And guess what? My guess is they will keep campaigning with this guy, and he will keep showing up. Because, again, they will be afraid. If Bernie Sanders is suddenly today asked a question, and he's like, you know what? I thought about it. I'm not in the mood for this. I'll just do it, I'm not in the mood, but I'll do it. I thought about it and I'm not gonna associate with that guy anymore because of all the violent rhetoric.

38:04Guess what, it gets turned on you, Bernie, and they might show up to one of your multi-million dollar three homes and I know you don't want that. But if all of that that we've shown you isn't enough for, here he is basically calling, Hassan, basically calling for Trump's assassination. And you actually wrote about this and it was a great video where you talked about you know someone has to do it see when i say that everyone knows exactly what i mean that which which is i think that shows that there's a lot of anger a lot of resentment and untapped potential uh untapped revolutionary potential as a matter of fact and it's a great opportunity for for organizing i think in these guys that that is evil off the charts there is untapped revolutionary potential if someone could just, I mean, it was kill him.

38:56It was kill Donald Trump. You all knew it. Everyone in that audience knew it. He got the reaction he wanted. And the thing is, Hassan, why don't you do it? Why don't you do it? Oh, you don't want to give up the 12 million bucks and the$4 million Beverly Hills or wherever it is in LA home. You don't want to do that. Right? So you don't want to do that. You don't want to give up your first class seats everywhere. You don't want to give up traveling with all these celebrities and everything else. You just want some mind-muddled kid or young man to go in there and do the dirty work and ruin their life.

39:28But again, it's interesting because, you know, one of the phrases that I've said for a while, I got this from James Lindsay, is that the issue is never the issue. The issue is always the revolution, right? So when he says it would be good for the revolution, what he's telling you, even though I've illustrated already, right, did Brian Thompson's murder make health care any better? No. Did Charlie Kirk's murder make the trans rights or whatever you want to call it any better? No. So with someone killing Donald Trump, would it do anything for their revolution? I don't know. Well, in some sense, I guess if I was trying to really like steal man at the best I could, maybe it would cause such an explosion in the system that all hell would break loose and maybe that actually is what they want.

40:16But should we be allowing this? And this is the challenge for all of us. What does a free society do when not only have you imported millions of people who want to destroy you, which is what we did during the Biden years, but we have homegrown people who want to destroy you? What do we do about that? I don't know. Here he is justifying October 7th. Murderous militants went in to a music festival and murdered hundreds of teenagers in cold blood and often massacred and mutilated them in ways that we have on camera. And that is deeply traumatic to me. Do you think that I think that it was wholeheartedly justifiable?

40:56I think certainly you haven't been very clear in your condemnations at times. And I've watched what you've said. I think it's important to understand the historical context in which violent resistance. There's no context for murdering hundreds of teenagers, is there? Is that the context of that? Yes. Really? Yes. I think that it's important to understand the context in which violent resistance has evolved, whether it be Hamas or whether it be any militancy. The historical context in which violent resistance has evolved, again, oh, you've got some sort of grievance and your resolution for that grievance is we're going to just kill a whole bunch of kids over there.

41:38We're going to kidnap children and murder women and drag people into tunnels, blah, blah, blah. And just without, I feel like doing a whole history thing here, the day before October 7th, October 6th, there were zero, not one, there were zero Jews or Israelis in Gaza. 18 years before, they had taken seven, there were only 7 ,000 before that. They took all 7 ,000 out and they said, keep this place to yourself. And all they had to do was build a civil society. They built a murder machine. We also played the video when he went on, what's that podcast with Jon Favreau and the Obama Bros? That stupid podcast, doesn't even matter.

42:13What's it called? Oh, Pod Save America. Pod Save America, just another set of leftist losers. And he has this guy, Jon Favreau, who used to work for Obama, basically saying, would you vote for Israel or Hamas more? And he says, Hamas. It's like, okay, I watched that 47-minute video on the Israeli military base where they show you some of the things that have not been released to the public, and I've said it before, but watching the guy get beheaded with a shovel, which is not easy to do, and you watch the entire thing, and then walk away with his head while smiling, that wasn't the worst thing on the video.

42:45Those are the people you're defending. But again, putting aside foreign conflicts or anything else, once you open up the Pandora's box, I disagree with these people. So blowing up buses is okay. Murdering children is okay. Assassinating presidents is okay. murdering somebody in the middle of Times Square is okay, then everybody will have the right to do that. Because, Hasan, for as horrible as you think all of us are, we think you're that bad too. But I'm not calling for violence, nor would I excuse it in any way while you are. And that is now the great challenge for all of us. How do we deal with this set of people?

43:27We are not for extrajudicial killings and maimings and murdering. and it would be extremely easy for all of us to condemn any attack on a freaking music festival that killed children for some political purposes, but you guys are kind of for it. So we better get on this now. We better get on this now. And there definitely is some weird connection with all of this and everything that subsequently has happened after October 7th, because it was the test for the West. Could crazy savages, for whatever reason they want, murder as many people as possible and rape and do untold of things? I'm telling you the beheading was not the worst thing that I saw.

44:05How would the West react? And much of the West was like, ah, they've got their reasons. We'll side with them. Well, wait till it starts happening on our shores. All right, let's keep going. So I want to show you something about how the ecosystem gets tainted. So how do you take a guy, a young man, a 31-year-old like this would-be assassin, and how do you radicalize him? Well, there's an online portion of it, which we've just shown you, series of videos of how it's happening on the left online. Now I want to show you Jimmy Kimmel's show from, I cannot believe this guy is still on air and perhaps won't be much longer, not because he, I would call for anyone to murder or maim or hurt him, but because he is a rather poor comedian who's making too much money to do a terrible show.

44:48On April 23rd, two days before the White House Correspondents' Dinner, I want to show you two clips. He faked a correspondence dinner as if he was going to be the host. He faked it. I would like to show you two of the jokes. Here he is first on Melania. Our First Lady Melania is here. Look at Melania, so beautiful. Mrs. Trump, you have a glow like an expectant widow. You have a glow like an expectant widow. What is the joke there, Jimmy? Is the joke there that someone will kill her husband or that he's just gonna die of a heart attack or something? Like, what's the funny part? What's the funny part?

45:22If you could make that joke funny, I'll play it and I'll laugh, But I can't figure out what the funny part is. But that's kind of interesting. Two days before this, you work over at ABC, 20 mil a year or so, and somehow the joke about Melania being the widow, Donald Trump dead, okay, that was interesting. Do we have one? We've got one more. Oh, look at who we have here, Stephen Miller. Stephen Miller is so racist. The reason he went bald is because his hair was black. Stephen Miller puts the cis in white supremacists. He's like if baby Hitler traveled in time to kill us. You know what's funny?

46:02Well, first off, I have no evidence that Stephen Miller is racist. Stephen Miller talks about the border a lot and talks about America being for Americans a lot. Stephen Miller also happens to be Jewish. Now, you're basically calling him a Nazi right there. I have no doubt, like pretty much every single Jew in America, he has somewhere down the line two generations ago probably for him, family members that died in the Holocaust. So what you do is you take the actual victims of genocide and then you take their descendants and you accuse them of being the bad guys. There is a level of evil here that has so infected the left across the board that they then think they're the good guys while doing it.

46:43Another group that thinks they're the good guys while doing it is the Lincoln Project. This is a group of people who were all Republicans. They were just sort of the generic, mealy-mouthed Republicans who never got anything done. And then Donald Trump came along, and they really didn't like mean tweets. So they basically all became Democrats. And the co-founder of this, oh, and one of the founders of it, I think, was trading child porn or something. Who was that guy again? Doesn't even matter. But here's co-founder Steve Schmidt saying that Trump is to blame for his own assassination attempts.

47:17Don't we have a, you know, is there a rhetoric problem? I mean, it's the third time they're trying to kill the president. I think that there's one person beyond and above all others who's responsible for poisoning the rhetoric in America. That guy's name is Donald Trump. You're saying it's the president's fault that people keep trying to kill him? No. What do you mean by that? What do you mean by that? No, that is what you said. That is what you said. And again, if any of you have been political students for the 10 plus years that Trump has been doing this game, first time around, I did not support him.

47:55And at the beginning of it with the tweets and the fighting with people and everything, I didn't get what he was doing. I did not get it. And now I get it. He had to fight in the craziest ways to break through the nonsense. And then you have these other guys. We're good Republicans. We just say the right things. We don't accomplish anything and we won't protect our borders and we won't have an America that leads. We won't put up candidates that win. We won't fight properly, but we'll sure say nice things about Democrats because we're better people. But the Lincoln Project, I think we have a couple of tweets here from the Lincoln Project.

48:27Here's one, for example. Maybe it's because unlike Trump, President Biden is not a serial sexual abuser, rapist, and misogynist. Women are fed up by Trump's degrading and disgusting behavior. So it's important to note that, and that was in January of 24, it's important to note that it's not just that they call Trump a Nazi. So Nazi implies he hates Jews, which is completely absurd, and his grandchildren are Jewish, Ivanka and Jared's children. But he hates black people, of course, is what they really want you to think, because they never want black people to break, because if black people even broke, if it was 50-50 Democrats or Republicans, Republicans win the rest of their elections basically forever.

49:03But also that he hates women. And we know that women psychologically are different than men, and women generally have a more intense version of Trump derangement syndrome. They have trouble getting over the literal parts of his statements when he is trying to use the language that he uses for a different purpose. So for example, a civilization will die tonight. And did he mean he was going to kill everyone in Iran or did he mean it as something literal? Or did he mean it as something figurative for a negotiating purpose? You get that. But here, now, you know, I mentioned before the philosophic argument we could have about whether you release manifestos or not.

49:42Here's Trump kind of going after Norah O'Donnell a bit in that interview about some of the manifesto stuff. He also wrote this. I'm no longer willing to permit a pedophile, rapist, and traitor to coat my hands with his crimes. What's your reaction? Well, I was waiting for you to read that because I knew you would because you're horrible people. Horrible people. Yeah, he did write that. I'm not a rapist. I didn't rape anybody. I'm not a pedophile. Do you think he was referring to you? Excuse me. I'm not a pedophile. You read that crap from some sick person. You should be ashamed of yourself reading that because I'm not any of those things.

50:21Mr. President, these are the gunman's words. Excuse me. You shouldn't be reading that on 60 Minutes. You're a disgrace. But go ahead. Let's finish the interview. The other thing that he wrote in the - You're a disgrace. You know, she really is a disgrace. Do you think he was referring to you. What are you saying, you ridiculous woman? And I do like his righteous indignation right there. Like he is not those things, but try to imagine, would any other president be put in this situation? First off, the fact that right after this happens, he's doing interviews, shows you the magic of Trump, right?

50:53Shows you all the goodness of Trump that he just gets out there. He's not, again, he's not sitting there with notes or anything else. And he's talking to mainstream media, which has not been fair to him to say it lightly, right? That's one part of it. But then there's the other part. She has the gall. Well, he said you're a pedophile and a rapist and a bad dude and a mean guy, and you pushed a kid off a bridge. You have the gall to do that right after. And this is why I think there's the argument that we're going to have to have more and more going forward. What do you do with these manifestos?

51:26So in essence, the guy got what he wanted. Sure, he didn't kill Trump. He didn't kill Trump, so he didn't get, if he's doing this on a video game, he didn't get like, how do they grade you on a video? He didn't get 100 % here. I don't know, that's a test, okay, fine. He didn't get 100 out of 100 here, but he probably was looking today and going, you know, I got about an 85, because they're reading my manifesto about the president being a rapist and a pedophile right to his face within hours of me attempting this. So we are gonna have to have some discussion about the manifesto thing, but where would they come up with this idea that Donald Trump is a rapist and a racist and a pedophile?

52:01Could there be some overall system in place that keeps pushing these ideas? The guy is a convicted felon or convicted rapist. He's a pedophile. He's the worst human being. If we're relying on this guy's morality for the most powerful country in the world, then we're all in a lot of trouble. That is Mark Ruffalo, who I can't watch the Avengers movies, and they're all pretty good. I can barely watch them because of him. He's not a good actor. He's annoying as hell. He's a leftist and a kindest and a maniac. First off, Donald Trump has never been convicted of rape. Okay, he was found liable for defamation against E.

52:43Jean Carroll, who we've shown you videos of, who is a nutbag and who is clearly a political operative, but he was never found guilty of rape. He was also found guilty of hush money payments to Stormy Daniels. So is it likely true that Donald Trump banged Stormy Daniels at some point? Yeah, but I'm sorry, is Joe Biden, who did some weird stuff in the shower with his niece or whatever, and who wasn't even president, and not in the mood, keep Phoenix world for me, would you? You get the point, guys. The hypocrisy of these people is ridiculous, and they are the ones who have been, if it's not Jimmy Kimmel, or it's not this Hassan lunatic, well, how about a guy who could be vice president right now joking about Donald Trump's death?

53:25You get up in the morning and you doom scroll through things, And although I will say this, the last few days you woke up thinking there might be news. Just saying, just saying, there will be news sometime. Just so you know, there will be news. Oh, we thought we were going to wake up and Donald Trump was going to be dead, but he will be dead at some point. Please, guys, I really mean this. Comments. I will have Joseph in there all day today. You can clear out your schedule, my friend. show me where Republicans are constantly joking and or calling for the death of their opponents. Where were people joking about the death of Biden?

54:07I probably made jokes that he's so old and incapacitated at this point that he might die. And that's a problem, right? That's a problem as the president of the United States. But I wasn't joking for someone to kill him or that I'd be excited that the president of the United States would be dead. show me people saying that about Kamala or Tim Walls or any of these people. There's a difference between criticizing these people and basically being like, yeah, and they'll just die eventually or we'll get them or you never know, you never know or what did Hassan do in the earlier thing? See, you guys left, you all kind of want the same thing.

54:40So the question is, what does this all do to the narrative right now? And one of the problems with the narrative is the left and the media are in bed together, right? So it's not just, everyone thinks, it's the right versus the left, it's the conservatives versus the liberals, but it's actually, it's the same people versus the left and the press. And Trump really understands that. And I, and well, watch him illustrate that right here. Do you think this will change your relationship with the press? Well, look, for whatever reason, we disagree on a lot of subjects. I mean, we talk about crime. I'm very strong on crime.

55:16It seems like the press isn't. It's not so much the press, it's the press plus the Democrats because they're almost one and the same. It's like the craziest thing. Yeah, he's right. It's the press plus the Democrats. If this was a 50-50 situation, if it was just, here are, let's say, Republican ideas, conservative-ish ideas, MAGA ideas, and here are Democrat ideas. And then we had a media in the middle that was just looking at them and kind of analyzing them properly. Well, first off, I'd be doing something else for a living, right? I'd be in the NBA. That's what I would be doing. What would you be doing, Connor?

55:53You weren't doing this. You would be a major league baseball player. Phoenix, what would you be doing if you weren't doing this? Soccer. Soccer. Okay, these are all highly trained athletes that I have in this room. What would you be doing? Ice cream tester. An ice cream tester. That can still be arranged. Are you a good soccer player? I'd like to see that. All right, interesting. Well, anyway, the point is, if the media was fair, then we would just have a fair fight and we would understand and most people you would just be able to look at the other side and be like all right i agree with this or i disagree with this the problem is it's one side another side and then a media layer that is offering a force field and a super laser so they've got an energy field let's do a little star wars i haven't done a star wars thing in a while return to the jedi right they've got they're building the death star they've got on endor they've got a shield going around it.

56:44So that's protecting them. And they also, the Death Star's operational. It's a trap. They also have a super laser that's gonna blow up all of the ideas that we have on our side. That's the problem. So let's illustrate that rather confusing metaphor. We'll try to do it here. This is from the New York Times. How did they cover this thing? Search for motive of gunmen who charged press gala. We have, I mean, do you think we know the motive? He charged the press, You mean tried to kill the president of the United States? Here's MS now doing the best they can. We do not yet know what the shooter's intended target was.

57:24Yes, obviously this was an event that was well publicized that the president would be attending. No, don't. We have no idea. Yeah, the president was there. There's a manifesto and Trump's already talking about it and tweeting about it and giving a press conference and everything else. we just don't know, don't know a little bit more from MSNOW. In light of this evening's events, I ask that all Americans recommit with their hearts in resolving our difference peacefully. We have to resolve our differences. That was President Trump calling on Americans to resolve their differences following the shooting that took place at tonight's White House Correspondents Dinner.

58:04The question always, will the president lead in that effort? Interesting, lady. You cut out, or you didn't repeat where he said peacefully. And then, of course, they put the onus on him, a man who was almost assassinated for the third time in a couple years. The onus is on him to turn down the rhetoric. It's not on the Democrats or the comedians or the online influencers, all the people who are ginning everything up so that this keeps happening. The onus is on president. Could you just, all right, sure, every few, well, once or twice a year, they're gonna try to shoot you. Could you just calm down?

58:39Absolutely absurd. Speaking of absurd, here is Barack Obama. Although we don't yet have the details about the motives behind last night's shooting at the White House Correspondents' Dinner, it's incumbent upon us to reject the idea that violence has any place in our democracy. It's also a sobering reminder of the courage and sacrifice that the U.S. Secret Service agents show every day. I'm grateful to them and thankful for the agent who was shot is going to be okay. All right, so the latter part of that obviously is fine. It's interesting that he opens it by saying, we don't know the motives. Now, we basically knew the motives from beat one, but he wants there to be in the ether.

59:13He wants there to be a little bit of confusion about that. And what I would say, you're right, Barack, you're right, that we can't start dancing with this type of violence, but it's your side that's doing it. And as the, it's hard to say whether you're the leader of the party or not anymore, who knows what the hell's going on there. But as, let's say, the leader of the party, Maybe you wanna call Bernie and Ro Khanna and AOC and everybody else and say, oh, you might wanna separate from the guy who just said he's for Hamas and that America deserved 9-11 and that violence actually is okay and that I understand why you might kill a healthcare CEO.

59:48And now I'm gonna read one that this one, I honestly thought this was, when I saw it last night, I thought this was AI because it's so tone deaf. It's extraordinary, even for him. So this is Timo Obama, Hakeem Jeffries. Listen to this. America will not be lectured about civility by far-right extremists in Congress, particularly those who provide aid and comfort to hundreds of violent rioters who brutally beat police officers on January 6th. There will be ample time to vigorously debate the issues of the day. Now is a time to unify. Connor, leave that up for a minute. This is the most insane tweet maybe ever.

1:00:24This one should be in the Smithsonian. Forget the middle part. Of course, he makes it about January 6th, and we're going to still do that. But if you just read the first sentence and the last sentence, America will not be lectured about civility by far right extremists in Congress. Now is a time to unify. Help me, T.M.U. Obama, help me put that together. There are far right extremists over there, right? And you wanna unify with them? Or was that all just lip service? The unified thing is really just lip service. You mean as long as they bow to you, then we can kinda keep this going. Is that really what you meant?

1:00:57I think so. I mean, the self, it's just an incredible self-owned. That's what he did right there. Here's Trump on the general gaslighting that the Democrats will do over the next two or three months, and I guarantee you this prediction will be correct. I hesitate to ask you about this, but as you know, these conspiracy theories out there on the left and the right, that the event was staged or that it didn't happen. What, last night, Jim? That, yeah, that it was, because it was your first time there or that Butler didn't happen. these conspiracy theories that are gaining traction on the internet.

1:01:29October 7th didn't happen, and World War II didn't happen, and the Holocaust didn't happen, and many things didn't happen. Yeah, no, I hear it. I don't know. I think they're more sick than they are con people, but there's a lot of con in it, too. I haven't heard that last night didn't happen. Usually it takes a little bit longer. Usually they wait about two or three months to start saying that. You know I'm always talking about the airlock guys. that there's truth, and then eventually, and usually from a mainstream perspective, it has something to do with Bill Maher's show. When something hits Bill Maher, then it's like allowed to get into the mainstream.

1:02:05I don't know how that works exactly. But he's right. Right now, even I, even freaking Alex Jones, who's been absolutely horrendous over the last couple of months when it comes to Trump, even he, and maybe it's because of all his legal trouble, was like, I don't think this was a false flag or anything. But I guarantee you, Trump's right. two to three months, we'll see. And they'll be saying this was staged and they're crisis actors and all the rest of it. This is what they do with everything. You can literally see video of things and they will tell you it's not real. And then they'll fall for AI hoaxes.

1:02:38And by the way, I mean, that's a whole other topic and we should do more on this with experts. But what is going to happen over the next couple of years as we can AI all of this and there will be fake video and fake audio that will be crystal clear and indiscernible from actual reality. Then wait till the untold, I'm talking about a Pandora's box opening, that's Pandora's box opening and with like 20 other Pandora's boxes in it. But let's continue, what do the Democrats do? Well, what's the line? You never let a crisis go to waste. And of course that's what they're doing, so they want to make this about gun control.

1:03:14Here is Democrat Jamie Raskin, who undoubtedly has called Trump, Hitler, and Nazi, and everything else for years and years, on with Margaret Brennan. So that launched a conversation about gun violence and how somewhere between 275 and 300 people are shot every day in our country. Yeah. Can we get the numbers on that? That doesn't even sound right to me. But how many people are shot in America a day? I mean, he never cares about the amount of people that are shot in Chicago because he doesn't like the racial component of that doesn't fit his calculator. But the idea that someone almost shot the president and what your response is, well, we should have a conversation about guns.

1:03:50We should actually, someone almost shot the president of the United States. So we should take away the God-given rights that U.S. citizens have that is enshrined in the Bill of Rights. That's our response to all of this. Of course, on CNN, they did the exact same thing. Here's Laura Coates pivoting to gun violence. And let's not forget as well that, as you mentioned, Scott, and we've talked about some of the people at the beginning of this dinner who were present in the room. Erica Kirk, the widow of Charlie Kirk. You have people who are civilians who may or may not have had their own experiences with gun violence in this country.

1:04:22And as we know, gun violence, C.S. Glees, also there, a victim of gun violence as well. Victim of gun violence. They want to make it about the gun. We just checked. 327 people apparently are shot a day in America. Now, is that now there's how many guns? There are more guns than people in America. So there's about at least 350 million guns in America. 327 people are shot. The amount of people who are shot, relative to the amount of guns we have, is infinitesimally low, right? It's like almost impossible, that's way less than.000%, right? Now, do some people get shot that shouldn't be shot? Of course, of course, there are bad people doing bad things.

1:04:58Again, go to Chicago. Can we get the numbers out of Chicago this weekend? They're bad, but if you think that restricting people's right to defend themselves is how you're gonna stop that, you are crazy. Why don't we have a lot of shootings in Florida? Well, one of the reasons is we're a population that is armed. And when people think, oh, if I break into this guy's house, I'm going to get shot, you are less inclined to do it. When you have sheriffs who are like, you know what? Well, if you break into somebody's house or you try to rape somebody or something, they might kill you and we'd be happier about it because it would make our job easier.

1:05:29It causes people to self-police. Four killed in Chicago this weekend, only 11 shot. That's a pretty good weekend for Chicago, although Jamie Raskin won't talk about that. And on CNN, they're not gonna cover it or anything else because it's undoubtedly all black people who killed black people and they're not interested in solving that problem. Here's acting attorney general, Todd Blanche, talking about how this isn't about gun control. It's about an awful human being. And look, this isn't about, in my mind, changing the law or making the laws more restrictive around possession of firearms. It appears he purchased these firearms the past couple of years.

1:06:05We don't know how those firearms ended up in his possession in D.C. We can make some assumptions based upon what I just said about how he got to D.C., but I don't think the narrative here is about changing laws or making our laws more restrictive. This is about law enforcement who are doing their jobs and a suspect who tried to do something and failed miserably. And of course that is completely right. Imagine if your reaction is someone almost shot the president of the United States. Let's take away law-abiding citizens' guns. Let's just make sure that the government is the only one that has guns.

1:06:41It is so thin, it's like boring to analyze, actually. And you'd be giving a win. What you would actually be doing is incentivizing people to murder people, at least in the short term. You'd be saying to people, boy, you know, they almost killed the president. They took away guns. I'd like more guns to be taken away. I'm gonna kill a couple other or attempt to kill a couple other politicians or high profile people. Like that's how stupid the logic is. Thus, it's the standard logic of CNN and MSNBC and the Democrat Party. I wanna end with two clips of Scott Jannings because as always, voice of reason when it comes to mainstream media.

1:07:15Here he is pointing out the obvious that perhaps over the last, I don't know, 70 plus days, we shouldn't have been defunding DHS, Department of Homeland Security. Final issue for me, law enforcement. These guys are heroes. The guy who took a bullet is a Secret Service agent. He's going to be okay. We're not paying these guys. It's outrageous. 70 days, the Department of Homeland Security, with the Secret Service tucked under there, unfunded. It's outrageous. And the people who've got it shut down right now ought to think long and hard about that night last night. And, you know, what that means to a cop who has to show up and take a bullet.

1:07:54Every American ought to be outraged. Yeah, well, every American ought to be outraged, but I hate to tell you, Scott, the Democrats will not care. There is literally no chance that any Democrat right now is wandering around the halls of Congress going, you know, we have shut this government down because we wanted ICE out, even though ICE is fully funded. And boy, you know, these guys are doing a great job. And one of them just got shot and thank God he'll survive. But we should turn around our policy on this? No, because the left never knows when the left goes too far. So who is under attack right now?

1:08:30Well, what did I say before? It's what Donald Trump said 10 years ago. They're not coming for me, or they're coming for me, but I'm just standing there. They're really coming for you. Here's Scott Jennings. I'll be honest with you. Conservatives feel under attack. I mean, we've had Charlie. We've had two, three assassination attempts on the president. I'm hearing a lot of that this morning. I thought the president was amazing last night. The guy's unflappable. He goes to the White House podium and struck the exact right tone. His rapport with Weijia Zhang, the head of the White House Correspondents Association, was excellent.

1:09:03I think they had all gone through something together, and the way he handled it was right on in my opinion. Yeah, that's right. So, okay, I don't have to repeat. Trump, obviously, subsequently, the interview, the press conference, everything he said off the cuff. acknowledging that this is just in the system and that he's doing the best he can, that's all great. But for all the rest of us, for all the rest of us that are just trying to live our lives, that like this country, that like capitalism, that believe that America is fundamentally good, that are excited about our 250th birthday, which is coming up in about two and a half months, and all of the goodness of America, we better acknowledge that there are not only infiltrators who are illegally here, but now we have basically a political party and a group of activists who are now put on steroids algorithmically and everything else that are here to tear it all down.

1:09:58And until they are willing, until someone in the Democratic Party, and I know it's Bill Maher and John Fetterman, but until someone besides them, maybe someone who's an actually elected official, is willing to separate themselves from the wacky people, from the revolutionaries who are only here to burn the whole thing, then everything will just get worse and worse. That is not how I wanted to end this Monday show. I usually don't like to end any show like that. What flavor would you be? Cotton candy. Wow, before I could even finish the sentence, you want to be an ice cream taste tester for cotton candy flavored ice cream.

1:10:35All right, if there is anyone out there watching the program today who is in the ice cream business or the cotton candy business, I think we got something here. We're gonna do a little side quest for Joseph, and we are gonna, you can't leave, you're an indentured servant here and you can never leave. And I am thinking about paying you one day, but we will see if we can get him a side quest as a cotton candy ice cream tester. Thank you for watching, post game show in 30 seconds, rubenreport.locals.com.
