In short

Dave Rubin argues that New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani is anti-American and too sympathetic to 9/11 hijackers, citing calls to bar him from 9/11 memorials, his appointment of Ramzi Qasim as chief counsel, and alleged Islamist/Marxist rhetoric. He broadens this into a claim that socialism/communism and Islamist ideas are “scaling” across the US, affecting elections and culture. He also discusses Gavin Newsom’s presidential ambitions, homelessness spending, and the Lindsay Clancy child-murder trial, plus a TikTok trend blaming the husband.

Guest backgrounds

No guests appear in the transcript. Rubin says future interviews are planned for tomorrow with Dennis Prager and Dr. Frank Turek (Charlie Kirk’s last-book dedication; Turek was in the car during the assassination).

Key claims

Giuliani and survivor families oppose Mamdani at 9/11 events; Mamdani is “victim” framing and “subtle” hatred of America; Qasim defended an Al-Qaeda member; Mamdani spoke at a mosque where “killing the infidels” was sung; Abdul El-Sayed and other Democrats allegedly downplay 9/11 and favor anti-American ideology; Newsom is leftist but may “tick away” to win; Clancy’s defense should not excuse guilt; social media/alt media drives misinformation.

Notable examples

Giuliani’s statement; Mamdani naming Ramzi Qasim; videos of 9/11 widows/councilwoman Bill Donahue opposing Mamdani; Abdul El-Sayed “other people died after 9/11” clip; Trump’s 2001 comments about attacking fast; Newsom’s universal healthcare/Medicaid claims; $37B homelessness spending; Lindsay Clancy juror controversy and a TikTok trend alleging Patrick Lindsay did it.

0:01Carmela, he's live at 11. Yes, it's 11 a.m. It's 11 a.m. That cute Dave is on. It's 11 a.m. Dave Rubin's on. Previously on the Rubin. But if you're wearing white pants, they can shoot you now. A lesbian in Germany is about to take power. We are the party of the future. This is going to be the top 10 lesbians going forward right now. Suffice to say, it's a good thing that just happened in Germany.

0:52All right, everybody. It is September 9th, 2026. I'm Dave Rubin. This is The Rubin Report, and we have a banger of a show for you. I'm very confident of that today. You know, the next two days, obviously, are going to be a little bit rough for anyone that loves humanity and decency and America and all the good stuff, freedom, etc. Obviously, tomorrow, the 10th, is the one-year anniversary of the assassination of my friend Charlie Kirk, and we're going to do a normal show during the day at 11 a.m., as always, which will sort of frame a bit around Charlie and his ideas. I'll also be interviewing Dennis Prager, who Charlie dedicated his last book, which unfortunately was published posthumously, to Dennis.

1:38So we'll interview Dennis and Dr. Frank Turek, who was with Charlie the day he was assassinated, actually was in the car. That's gonna be tomorrow, and then, I guess in a weird way, it's sort of existentially fitting. The day after that, of course, is the 25th anniversary of 9-11, And as you guys know, I was in New York City during 9-11. I'll share thoughts on that then. But much of the show today is framed around that because there is a lot of tension in New York City right now because Zorhan Mamdami, the, I would say, Islamo-Marxist mayor of New York City, is not wanted at a lot of the 9-11 memorials.

2:17It is fairly obvious that he has sympathies with the ideology of the hijackers. He has his obsessive hatred of capitalism and freedom, his endless obsession with Jews and Israel. And it's causing a lot of problems in New York City. And the idea, and I say this as someone that was in New York City during 9-11. My dad saw the second plane hit, the tower from his office. I had a cousin who was a firefighter. My grandma lived in New York City. I had several friends who stayed with me for days because people couldn't get out of the city. Again, I'll share more on that in a day or two. It's just that 25 years after that, that this is where we are at in New York City, but really America at large, because these bad ideas are going at scale right now, is pretty freaking crazy.

3:06So we're gonna start with that today. We'll dive into a whole bunch more. We've got a little Gavin Newsom stuff. He's running for president. And ironically, because the party is so psychotically out of control, he's gonna come across as the moderate, even though he's a lefty lunatic himself. and then we'll try to finish up with some good stuff as we do over here. So let's dive in with what's going on in New York City right now. The first thing is that Rudy Giuliani, who of course was the mayor during 9-11, who I'm honored to call a friend these days, and we had on last year on the anniversary of 9-11, he has said that Mamdani should not attend New York City's 9-11 ceremonies, some of which are private, by the way.

3:46They are not all public ceremonies. So a public ceremony, I guess you can't stop the mayor from coming to, you can't stop anyone from coming to a public ceremony. Private ones that are funded by nonprofits, they're allowed to have invite lists. Giuliani is saying that Mamdani should not attend these and he's not the only one. There are family members of survivors that don't want him there and much more. Here is Mamdani's response to Giuliani. Mayor, I'm sure by now you're familiar with what former Mayor Giuliani said yesterday, that not only should you not attend on Friday, but he said that whereas the hijackers were open about their disregard for America, you're trying to hide yours.

4:28What is your response to that? I'm proud to be the mayor of this city. I love this city. I love this country. And what I want this week to be a focus on is on the families whose loved ones were stolen from them 25 years ago in the horrific act of terror of September 11th. It's just meaningless pre-packaged drivel with him. Let me just, for the record, state that I 100 % agree with Rudy Giuliani. First off, that he shouldn't be there, number one, but of course he will show up and he wants the spectacle and he wants the media firestorm and he wants to play the victim and he wants someone to make some anti-Muslim remarks so he can pretend that they're the bad guys and he's the good guy and all that.

5:08But I also agree more importantly with what Giuliani said specifically there, which is that the hijackers, they openly exposed and showed their hatred of America. This guy is doing it subtly. It's not so subtle for those of us that have been paying attention in it, paying attention to it. But that is, I think, fairly obvious. Then, of course, here is Zorhan not acknowledging Giuliani's role in 9-11, which is in the aftermath of 9-11, which is just beyond imagination. And of course, as you know, he picked Ramzi Qassem as his chief counsel, who was a defender of Al-Qaeda. It's just, it's so insane.

5:48Oh, and that he's the victim of 9-11. It's a couple of spliced videos. Take a look. So anything you'd like to say about his contributions to the city, the fact that he got the city through 9-11? I think former mayor Giuliani is someone that we as New Yorkers know well. I am delighted to announce that I am naming Ramzi Qasim as chief counsel.

6:13There would be these moments where I would be reminded by someone whose intent was to tell me that you do not belong. And one of those first moments was on 9-11, when before I knew what had happened, my teacher had pulled me and a Muslim classmate of mine out of the class and told us that something has happened and you may be bullied. And I want you to tell me if that happens. Okay, it's hard to say which one of those three videos is the worst. First off, that he is talking about 9-11, that he might be bullied. He got pulled out of class on 9-11 and might be bullied. Yeah, 3 ,000 New Yorkers died that day, but he wants to be the victim.

6:54This is also somebody who said that after 9-11, what was it, his aunt was wearing a hijab and somebody made an Islamophobic remark. It turns out his aunt doesn't even wear hijabs and she wasn't even in New York after 9-11. But making it about him, he's the victim in all of this. Also, Ramzi Qassem previously served as defense attorney for convicted Al Qaeda member in US military commission case. Okay, so that's who he handed the pen to the other day. We showed you that video after he signed some 9-11 document. And to dismiss what Rudy Giuliani did, do we have an image? to dismiss what Rudy Giuliani did on 9-11.

7:32Let me tell you something. As someone, and again, I'll discuss this more on the anniversary. As someone that lived in New York City during 9-11, and I lived on 90th and York. So I lived about a half block away from Gracie Mansion. That's the mayor's mansion where Rudy lived at the time, where sadly Mamdami lives now. And it's very far. It's basically polar opposite from ground zero in the city, right? It's like 100 blocks away. And for weeks after, you could smell the soot and the smoke. People were frozen, could not leave their apartments, stuck watching CNN. It was before social media. And Rudy Giuliani was a hero of heroes whose life's work after going after the mob and being attorney general of the state and doing so many difficult things, he was ready to lead.

8:20That he could be dismissive of that man is, it is beyond the pale. It is beyond the pale. But of course it should not surprise us because let's not forget, Mamdami is a man who just months ago spoke at a mosque where right after he spoke they talked about killing the infidels. I stand before you as the first Muslim mayor in our city's history.

8:48All right, well that's great. I'm the first Muslim mayor. Also, they're singing about killing the infidels. And you might go, Dave, Dave, don't be so Islamophobic. stop going after the Muslims. Show me a video of a Jew at the same mosque falling on the sword, no pun intended. I believe as a proud Jewish New Yorker that Israel's genocide in Gaza is a desecration, is a violation of the understanding.

9:22So there you go. That's like equal opportunity right there, right? A mayor, I'm a proud Muslim, kill the infidels by the sword. Brad Lander, I'm a pathetic Demi Jew, kill the infidels by their sword. The point is that leftists and socialists and Islamofascists are all terrible people. We'll show you some videos now of people who are not terrible people, who are quite good people, who are pushing against Zoran showing up at these 9-11 events. Here's Vicki Palladino, she's New York City Councilwoman, and Catholic League President Bill Donahue on why Mom Domi should not show up. I'm not asking politely for the mayor not to come to 9-11, to that ceremony.

10:03I am asking, I am demanding that he not show his face at that sacred ground. He does not belong there. When you associate yourself with the likes of Hassan Pica, and you have as your chief counselor right here in this building, Rasim Qasim. I'm a veteran, United States veteran, and I don't have a whole lot to say about Zoran Mandani. He should not be here. I wrote him a letter on August the 3rd. It's up on our website explaining why he's such a divisive figure. He said that something happened on 9-11. I'll tell you what happened. radical Muslims came in here to bomb the United States of America.

10:48I have to say, you know, as a born and bred New Yorker, just the accents alone with these guys like that is what a true New Yorker is, not the fake whisper and smile of Mamdami as he's ushering in socialism and trying to hypnotize everybody with his eyes and the one piece of hair that falls over here. So that is true righteous indignation, because I have no doubt that both Vicky and Bill have friends and probably perhaps family that died in 9-11 and have devoted their lives to pushing back against these horrific ideas that are now taking root in that city. I want to show you one more of these.

11:23This is a video of a 9-11 widower saying that Zorhan should not be there. She, the first plane hit her office directly and annihilated everybody instantly. Mayor Mandami is serving himself, not the people. We all went through a traumatic event. This mayor is not serving us. He's serving himself. He feel he wasn't even here. He was 10. He wasn't in this country. And I think he should really respect us as we're his constituents. I'm a native New Yorker, born and bred my whole life. And I think if someone says, just give us some seven to 11. You know, I have to say, well, first off, he's not gonna honor any of that.

12:15He does not care. He wants to make the spectacle about himself. As I said earlier, he wants to be the victim. He wants to be, he would love nothing more than for someone to throw an egg at him or say something, and then he will be the victim, right, of all of this. You know, last year on the anniversary of, I went to New York City for the anniversary of 9-11, and then in some sense, bad choice of words here, it was hijacked by the fact that Charlie was killed the day before, and I was doing a ton of media. But on 9-11, I went to the Cantor Fitzgerald Memorial, and Cantor Fitzgerald, of course, they were on one of the floors.

12:51What, they had the top two floors of the World Trade Center? Can we confirm that, Cantor Fitzgerald? And they lost 658 employees, including the brother of Howard Lutnick, who's now our commerce secretary. And the only reason Lutnick didn't get killed was because he happened to take his kid to first day of kindergarten that day. But he spoke and many other people spoke, but to be in a room, I was in a room with hundreds of people who lost husbands and wives and parents and brothers and sisters. And there were multiple family members that worked at the company when they were going through the memorial and they show all of their faces.

13:23It was one of the most impactful days I've ever had in my entire life. And again, that 25 years after the worst terrorist attack in modern history, that this guy is the mayor is an absolute disaster. Let's not forget, this is a little bit of a throwback. Oh, I'm sorry, we're getting the numbers on the floor. They had two, what'd they have? Lost two thirds out of 960. Yeah, they lost two thirds of their employees. They had about 960 employees. They lost 658. I mean, just unimaginable. Let's not forget that Mamdami, when these people are saying these things and he'll go, oh, it's because I'm Muslim, right?

13:59It's just simply because I'm Muslim. No, it's because you have no respect for America. You don't like America. You were trying to upend our freedoms. You don't care about the Constitution. You side with terrorists. There might be some angle, well, there probably is, to your Islamic faith. That probably is true. It's antithetical to the foundational documents of America. Okay, fine. And there's millions of examples of this. Remember this, when he was with George Washington's desk on the 250th anniversary of America and decided to use it as a platform to shred America? Nearly a decade ago, I too felt what you feel, the joy of no longer being just a New Yorker, but an American too.

14:38You each hold a special power, the power to determine what America means. The powerful have always known their answer. America, in their view, is an arena of supremacy, where only a select few are allowed freedom, where not all are created equal. America, if you ask them, becomes less the more people it welcomes. America, they will tell you, belongs only to those with the right accent or the right shade of skin. The rest of us, they insist, should be grateful for merely being allowed to visit. How small they are. How weak. How unoriginal. He is an evil, evil man to do that on the 250th anniversary of America at George Washington's desk, which for whatever reason they had positioned backwards on top of everything else.

15:23No one sits at the desk with the drawers on the other side. And look at all these, these are all supposedly new immigrants. And of course you've got two women in hijabs and look at them. Why is nobody smiling? Why do they look absolutely ridiculous? When my brother-in-law became a citizen about, I don't know, six years ago, became an American citizen after years of trying to become an American citizen and doing everything, he was so thrilled. We had a huge party. These people are miserable, and he's telling them you should be miserable because certain people think America's an arena of supremacy and don't like you based on your accent.

16:02No, Americans love all of that stuff. No country in the history of the world has loved welcoming more people from more places, and it's written on the freaking Statue of Liberty. It's that we don't care about the accent, we don't care about the food or the music, we don't like people who come here with ideas that are going to destroy our freedoms, which is exactly what you are doing now. So actually, although as you know, I always say I don't have a lot of hatred in my heart and I don't like holding hatred, you sometimes can hold a little hatred somewhere so that you know what is bad. And here is Marco Rubio on what he hates.

16:41I'm gonna give a speech I've never given before. I hate Marxism and I hate communism. And I hate it because everywhere in the world that's ever been tried, it's led to tyranny, and poverty and exile and oppression. The other mistake we make is that Marxism is some sort of economic theory. Neither one of those things is true. Marxism is not dead, and it's not an economic theory. Things that frankly sound benign, and you almost feel guilty being against. Social justice. Who can be against social justice? But that's a terminology they come up with. Equity. Equity. Who can be against equity? but the truth of the matter is that and and that this is not about economic solely and that's how communism works it creates a victim class it creates an oppressor class and then it says the only way to fix this is we have to overthrow this system we need a revolution we're being asked to divide first of all we're being told that america in and of itself was founded on racism prejudice and prejudice and evil not that we have a history of racism or prejudice but that we were of our society that we are irredeemably broken in our history.

17:47System. That the system is rigged. Not about capitalism. The system is set up to benefit the oppressor versus the victim. That man should be president of the United States. That's not a commentary on J.D. Vance or Ron DeSantis or anyone else. It is so obvious to me that Marco Rubio's entire life has led him to believe the right things, fight for the right things, be able to explain the right things, explain what the enemy actually is, what bad ideas actually are. Also articulate equally as well what the great ideas of freedom in America and democracy and liberty are. It's like that should be, in any sane world, that should be the next president of the United States.

18:27As a matter of fact, Elon saw that video and he retweeted it and said, well said, and indeed well said. But the point of showing you that there, of course, is that everything that Mamdami stands for is exactly what Marco Rubio was just laying out about the ideas that he hates, but he's not saying I hate just for the sake of hating. The lefties hate all of us. They hate all of us. They do, they do, and God only knows what they would do to us if they had the power. But they hate us because we just think differently than them. Right? He explains, I hate these ideas because where these ideas take root, it destroys everything.

19:04And Mamdami is trying to do a systemic destruction of New York City, and when everything is ruined and none of the grocery stores have anything and all of the producers have left and nobody wants to build a building and everything else, he will say, and I am the only one who can fix it. Give me more power, which is why they're always giving. It's very easy to say healthcare, Medicare for everybody. It's the easy, I just said it, it was quite easy to say. To actually enforce it so that doctors are forced to do these things, well, that's gonna take, I don't know, some guns perhaps. We will continue though, because of course it's not just Mamdami, it's Abdul El Saeed, it's Hassan Piker.

19:45It's just this terrible clown car of Legion of Doom, Decepticon. Well, I liked the Decepticons. They were pretty cool actually. Just terrible, terrible people across the board. We'll do that in just a second. But first, ultra guys, you know, we're all trying to optimize everything. Thank you for handing me the ultras. I'm doing the ultra read. We're all trying to optimize everything, sleep, workouts, diets, focus. But then half of us are still pounding coffee or reaching for something every few hours just to stay locked in. That's why I've been checking out Ultra Patches, pouches, they're right here.

New customers can use code Ruben to get 15 % off at TakeUltra.com, that's TakeUltra.com for 15 % with code Ruben. after you purchase, tell them Dave sent ya. All right, so this thing that we are talking about is scaling, right? It is all over the country right now. There are, you have a mayor in New York City, you've got a Democratic candidate in Michigan, you have the biggest streamer on Twitch, they are all ushering in what we thought, well, I didn't think so because I was warning about it, but they said it was Democratic Socialism, and then it became Socialism, And now a lot of them are actually saying they're communists.

21:33And they're not saying they're Islamists yet, but that is coming too. And now, to the backdrop of 9-11, we're getting a little bit more information on some of their feelings about 9-11. Here is Abdul Al-Sayed a couple of years ago caught on a hot mic regarding 9-11. 9-11 scarred our country in profound ways. But what we did after 9-11 scarred millions of other people. When we talk about 9-11, we often fail to center them. Oh, I'm sorry. When we talk about 9-11 as Americans, we don't center ourselves around the other people who died after. Look, I'll try to give the devil, and in this case, I mean it literally, his due here.

22:13You can say, boy, America did some things that didn't really make sense after 9-11, right? Saudi Arabia had, what, 19 of the 21 hijackers and we attacked Iraq. Okay. Okay, now Saddam Hussein was threatening to kill George W. Bush and whatever. You can make all sorts of arguments that we did weird things, that we instituted a surveillance state on ourselves, Patriot Act, okay, we do all that. But when we talk about 9-11, I got one thing to talk about on 9-11, and it is the act of terrorism that took, well, the acts, because there were multiple acts of terrorism that took place on 9-11 and the 3 ,000 Americans who were killed that day.

22:52but they don't really care about them. They don't. They just think some people did some things, right? Well... Care was founded after 9-11 because they recognized that some people did something and that all of us were starting to lose access to our civil liberties. God, I hate her accent. It really could just... Yeah. Some people did something. Well, actually radical Islamist terrorists hijacked two planes, crashed one into, or no, they hijacked three planes. They crashed two into the World Trade Center towers, crashed one into the Pentagon. Oh, hijacked four planes. God, it's just insane. Crashed one into the field in Pennsylvania.

23:43Like murdered Americans for no reason. I'm telling you guys, like to be there during this And then to be where we're at 25 years later, I feel like I'm in a dream in some weird way. The videos that now, you know, there's videos, new videos leaking out now, and to see people jumping out of the towers and everything. But some people did some things, and we don't center ourselves around the other people that were affected after 9-11. I'm starting to think that Mamdami and El-Sayed and Ilhan Omar and Hamas member Rashida Tlaib and the rest of them, I'm starting to think they don't like America very much.

24:19I'm starting to think they like our enemies more. I'm starting to think that they are actually trying to institute a worldwide caliphate. Am I crazy or am I saying it right? You know, interestingly, Donald Trump, of course, has been in the public spotlight for basically half a century, almost 50 years at this point. Here he is on 9-11 talking to reporters. Fine. I think we'll do fine. Donald, what do you think about all this? You're a developer. You've built buildings all your life. Well, there's never been anything like this. It's disgraceful. And I hope we attack fast. I hope we find out who it is and go fast.

24:53Okay. Why'd you want to come down here today? I have about 100 men working down here. So just to spur them on. Hi, folks. And I hear doing an amazing job. So I just want to give them some support. These men from here in development? Yeah. Men from my company. We have another 100 coming in a little while. They're brave guys. A couple of them got hurt. And thank God that man is president right now. And thank God he came down that freaking escalator or 10 years ago, and I actually believe him there. Like he came down to support his guys. He didn't come down to do that little interview, right? And you know, this is somebody who also built, literally built, helped build the skyline of New York City, which was partially demolished that day.

25:34Here's one more video, this is from 2001, talking to an NBC reporter about that day. Just finally, can you tell me emotionally as you walked around. We've heard some of the stories from the firemen. They're so exhausted and mentally and physically. What was it like for you personally to go in and see all of what you saw? Well, it was amazing to see it. It was a very depressing scene, but I'll tell you what, you really can take heart. These firemen and policemen and the construction workers equally, the courage they have is unbelievable. I mean, they're working, digging out and lifting up steel, and above them, you have 55-story buildings that are very possibly going to be pouring down on I have to say, I love that these videos exist.

26:17It's why I love showing you the old videos of Trump saying, you know, we should have taken out Iran or whatever. His consistency of caring about people is the magic around him, actually, maybe more than the business acumen or what has become quite good political acumen. But the point of all of this is on that day, people, radical Islamic terrorists decide decided to attack us. And you could say there was blowback for this or this happened or that. Yeah, we didn't start the fire. There's been stuff going on with humans fighting humans for thousands and thousands of years. But if we are not willing to say what actually happened then, well then it will happen again and we will vote it in.

27:00We will vote in people who will usher the bad ideas in slowly, which we seem to be doing. So now let's go back to Michigan Democrat Senate, Abdul Al-Sayed. This is a guy who keeps saying he's not a socialist. And then every second he offers socialist policies and then blames white people for calling him names. Are you in favor of public ownership models like the one Bernie introduced? So I wanna actually take it a step further. I agree that we need public ownership, but I also agree that we need some system of public control. Like what is the point of democracy if it's not to protect us from existential racism?

27:34The point I beg is I'm not a socialist. I've never called myself a socialist. People like to call me a socialist, right? People like to call me all kinds of things. We played that video of him the other day. White people like to call him a socialist. I mean, that in and of itself is more racist than anything I hear anyone saying about him. White people call him a socialist? He's a socialist, what did he just say? He'd like to take it a step further than public ownership. Oh, so he actually means he's a, you're right, I'm not a socialist, I'm a communist. I wanna take it a step further than public ownership.

28:02And of course, this is the same guy. What does he want always? Medicare for all, as he pretends to be a medical doctor, whose own wife right now, who is a therapist, does not take Medicaid. The hypocrisy would be interesting if it wasn't happening over and over and over again. And yet the strange and perhaps scariest part of all of this is that everything that we're looking at right now, two months from right this week in this midterm election, is looking very 50-50 at best. Here's CNN's Datador, Carrie Enten, on that. chance that the democrats win the senate i got two different ways that we can look at this and we'll take a look at the average of the two so you get poll-based models right like that were made famous by nate silver these include the fundamentals a 53 chance you average all these different models together 53 chance that democrats win the senate you think that is tight how about the prediction market odds the calci prediction markets where people put their money where their mouths are right 47 chance that democrats win the senate when you average the two of them together It's literally 50-50.

29:04You can't get any tighter than what we're looking at right now. Democrats with a 50 % chance to win the Senate. Republicans with a 50 % chance to hold the Senate. It is even at this point. All right, so what's interesting about that, he's showing you the poll-based, right? So these are poll companies that call people, and you can, you know my feelings about polls. It's like, they usually are just calling people on landlines, who actually answers these polls. I've never gotten a call about this, but that's one set of data that they're looking at. and then they're looking at the betting markets.

29:32I think he specifically referenced Kalshi, which in that case, it's like, this is where people are putting their money on. So, and he's saying that they're basically running in parity with each other. And that really, I suppose, tells you the state of where this country is at right now. It seems that half of the people, or at least half of the people responding to these things and putting money on these things, seem to want to usher in socialism and communism, as I always say, with a dash of jihad. And that is a big, big problem. And what, I just, I know I did it yesterday, but just to ramp up the, not the fear, to ramp up the understanding of how close we are to the precipice of giving this all away.

30:17Just imagine what it will be like the day after the midterms if the Democrats have taken power of the House and the Senate. Trump is done. And then you only have to go two years to go, oh, now we might have a Democrat president and congratulations borders open that day. And then we are Europe. And then we're gonna need a German lesbian to fix all of this stuff. So get me a couple of German lesbians on the phone, ready on speed dial. And of course, it's also possible we might get Gavin Newsom who will talk about that in a sec. He already has the German. You always have the German lesbians ready to go on the phone.

30:47Okay, let's talk about Quo for just a second. Guys, if you run a business and you already know how this goes, you're busy, the phone rings, somebody misses it, and that could be a customer walking out the door. That's where Quo comes in. the business phone system built to make sure you never miss a call. Quo, spelled Q-U-O, puts your calls, texts, and voicemails all in one place, so your entire team can see the conversation and respond quickly. It takes minutes to set up, you can keep your existing number, and there's no complicated IT nonsense. And here's the cool part, Quo even has an optional AI agent that answers after-hours calls, questions, and books appointment while your team is offline.

31:22There's a reason Quo is rated the number one business phone system on G2 and trusted by more than 90 ,000 businesses. Money's on the line, always say hello with Quo, try Quo for free, plus get 20 % off your first six months when you go to Quo.com slash Rubin, that's Q-U-O.com slash Rubin. So okay, let's move over to Gavin for a second, because the, look, the Republicans are gonna have a fight on their hands, right? I just told you my feelings about Marco, I just think it's so freaking obvious if this country wants to be righted and have moral clarity and make sense and be competent in all of those things.

31:55Perhaps the country doesn't wanna do that. But the point is, whether it's Marco or it's J.D. Vance or it's Ron DeSantis or you throw in Pete Hegseth or they reanimate the corpse of Ronald Reagan or whatever it might be, you got a pretty deep bench over there that you'd go, okay, I can roughly understand what these people think and they kind of like America. The Democrats have a series of socialists and communists and Islamists and probably worse than that. And they're all ready to go. And something interesting now is happening with Gavin Newsom because I think that what Gavin is going to try to do is he's a far lefty, right?

32:32He always pretends he's a moderate or something like that. We know what he's done to California, but I think he does have, I would say, decent political instincts. And I think what he's gonna think or realize or is coming to realize is that the country itself, yes, the radical lefties are taking root in certain places. The country's not fully there. So if he wants to be president, He has to tick away from them a little bit. All of that being said, he's just an inauthentic suit with fake teeth and slicked back hair. Here he is on PBS. And look at the hard questions they're asking him on PBS. Governor Newsom, you're very comfortable in this format, I should say.

33:09It's almost like you have your own podcast show. I know, but not everyone loves my guests. Would you keep the podcast if you were president? Oh, that's interesting. as president, a presidential podcast. That's kind of a little different, little different than a fireside chat. It's kind of a modern. It is. Is that a good idea? I'm sitting back. I'm thinking. I'm thinking about what I would, what I wear. Was it a sweater? Is it more relaxing, approachable? Depends on the season. I don't know. I just, I feel my physiology changed. I'm sorry, if I can quote Sofia Petrillo, that guy is gayer than a fruitcake.

33:41What is going on there? What is with these body motions and his body? And he's just, I'm thinking about what I'm going to wear. and my physiology is changing right now. And I'm sitting like this and I go, oh my, what is going on with this man? But okay, great question, PBS. Will you keep your podcast if you're president? These people are so utterly ridiculous. It's just beyond imagination. But to the larger point of what I think he is going to try to do nationally, as they go, you know, certain places, they're gonna just keep taking root. They've taken New York City, they might take Michigan. But as a Democrat at large, I think he feels that the country will not fully be there.

34:20So he's going to have to push back against them a little bit. Again, even though he's a bananas lefty himself, but here he is. And here he is giving the hint on that. Take a look. I ran against the Green Party. It sounded the exact same platform 20 years ago. Maybe it's because I'm from the Bay Area. Maybe it's because of California. And I think it's healthy. I just think it's, I'm not consumed by this. I don't think there's a great, I just, I think it's the natural. it's reflected in your Kucinich and just aspects and component parts of our party that we've always had. And it's a healthy dialectic within the party.

34:55I'll try to do it as if I'm kind of explaining what he's explaining. But there's a healthy thing happening in this party because he fought the Green Party 20 years ago. And apparently he thinks the Green Party in San Francisco 20 years ago had the same juice that these people have now. But his fake smile and the way he's looking all all over the place. I mean, I don't know if he's on, maybe he's on acid. I have no idea. Like maybe there's just something going on. But again, none of the, what I'm saying here is to defend Gavin Newsom because he is, the only piece that makes him better than the other guys is that I don't think he's a jihadist too, where some of them are full on Islamist jihadists, but he'll placate to them the entire time.

35:33But everything in his platform is far left, socialist nonsense. No. What they will say on Fox News is, why is Gavin Newsom out here in South Carolina? His state is in shambles and he's not serving the people of South Carolina. Well, I mean, I mean, he's serving the people of California. Excuse me. I think they deserve more than a$7.25 minimum wage here. I think they deserve more than a governor refuses to expand Medicaid. We not only expanded Medicaid, but we have, we only state in America providing universal health care, regardless of preexisting condition, ability to pay and your immigration status.

36:03I know how offensive that is to people and I get how controversial that is. Yeah, it is offensive to people, regardless of your immigration status. So someone who's here illegally, who by default is a criminal, perhaps committed some other crime too, you're going to take money from the taxpayer of California who's taxed to the nth degree already and give that person healthcare. And you'll do it because you're the good guy. You're the good guy. But you know what, Gav? You're actually not the good guy because you have caused a mass exodus from California. And most of the people leaving are people who built businesses and who have means.

36:39Stephen A. Smith, the guy who just recently signed a$100 million deal with ESPN, and that's only a small portion of his fortune, he left California. Here he is explaining that not only did he leave California purely for financial reasons, like he wasn't doing the COVID thing like I was, or he wasn't pissed about the crime or anything else. He left for financial reasons, and here he is saying that he told Gavin himself. And so I'm looking at it, And I'm like, you got California state tax. You got Los Angeles city tax. You got L.A. County tax. And then here was what really, really did it. This happened to me two years ago.

37:17They said, look, when the weekend arrives, it would be in your best interest to go to Vegas or to Utah or something. I said, why? And they said, well, if you stay in California, you know, IRS, they ping your phone. So anytime you get a call or you're on the phone, they know that you're in the state. Wow. I say, you got to be kidding me. And sure enough, when I saw my tax returns, it was absolutely correct. But years ago, I look at Gavin Newsom, who I've spoken to a couple of times, and I'm like, you know, you look beautiful in those blue suits. You look very presidential. Ain't getting my vote.

37:57You told him this. Yeah, damn right. Because these damn taxes. You know, as you guys know, I did not leave Cali because of the taxes. For six years before COVID, we had a great life there. That's where I built this business and started, you know, so many of the great things that I've been doing over these years. And I was thrilled to be there. And we had just moved into a new house. I had built several studios. I did not want to leave. COVID ruined it for two years. And then as you know, I campaigned with Larry Elder for the recall of Gavin Newsom. The day after, it was either the day after, it might've been two days after the recall failed, I got audited by the state of California.

38:32Was that a coincidence? I don't know, but they went through three years of my Amazon purchases and it was a lot of hairspray mainly. But that's the point. So Gavin, you may tick back, oh, I'll fight the Marxists the way I fought the Green party 20 years ago. That's what I'll do. But the problem is, you still, despite your ability to fight those people, you're still one of them. You still have taxed people. You still are down with all the trans craziness. You're still down with all of the evil stuff. And I want to make sure that people know that. Here is Elon Musk. I think we may have shown you a portion of this interview from The Economist not too long ago, being interviewed.

39:20And of course, the woman, what does she want? She just wants more of his money. Because if Elon would just give more of his money, then surely the government would finally figure out a way to do something right. Should the government, should you be paying more tax to fund more transfer programs? Well, first of all, I do pay a lot of tax.

39:41so in fact I set a record for the most amount of taxes ever paid by a human. That's also because you're the world's richest man. Well even before that. So my guess is that I will pay many trillions in tax. Yes these people Elon should just pay his fair share. He has paid more in taxes than anyone in history. He builds things and then he pays people and there are payroll taxes and there's also, I don't have to explain the tax code, there's a gajillion taxes constantly paid on everything. But he said enough is enough and he moved his companies out of California and now he's got them in mostly in Texas and in Florida where they have no state income tax.

40:30Surprise, surprise, and somehow we still have roads here. It's all very, very confusing. But that woman, well, you're just the richest man and if we shouldn't, you just give more of your money. The government's not good at anything, nothing. They just had, the government just had another billion dollars, guys. Surely we could solve all of these things. The amount of money the government has thrown at homelessness, get me, we'll come back to it after I read the, do the ad. How much money did Gavin Newsom throw at homeless, at homeless, to fix homelessness when he was mayor of San Francisco and now governor of California?

41:01We'll get that in just a second. And then we'll talk about true psychopaths like the jurors who sat on the Lindsay Clancy trial in just a sec. But first, Mars Health. A lot of guys start noticing changes in their 30s and 40s. Lower energy, worse sleep, more stress, less motivation, and slower recovery. One factor that can play a role is cortisol, your body's stress hormone. Modern life can keep stress levels elevated, which can affect how you feel day to day. Mars Men is designed to support healthy testosterone production while also helping the body manage cortisol levels. It uses natural ingredients with no synthetic hormones or weird stimulants, and it's made in the USA and third-party tested.

41:39Mars Men supports healthy testosterone levels, energy, stamina, sleep, and recovery. It also comes with a 90-day money-back guarantee, and over 91 % of their users report higher energy levels. For a limited time, Rubin Report listeners get 50 % off, plus free shipping and three free gifts at mengotomars.com. That's mengotomars.com for 50 % off and three free gifts when you go to checkout. out after you purchase, tell them Dave sent you. All right. So we were checking the numbers I just referenced there for just a second. What is it? So San Francisco and California as a whole under Gavin Newsom, mayor of San Francisco, the governor of California, they have put$37 billion into solving homelessness.

42:23And it has only gotten worse because their economic policies create the conditions for people to be laid off. They allow for violence, which closes stores. You get all of it. But that woman, if Elon would just pay a little bit more, people would be okay, profoundly absurd. And speaking of profoundly absurd, so of course, as you know, the big cultural story over the last couple weeks has been this Lindsay Clancy trial. A woman who, without question, murdered her three young children. She did it in a premeditated fashion because she sent her husband out, timed it, so that she was gonna be able to kill all of the kids.

43:03She was obviously, I don't think anyone's debating this, she was suffering from some form of pre,

43:11from postpartum depression, thank you. And there was an argument that maybe it was postpartum psychosis, but if you were suffering from postpartum psychosis, you would not have been able to plan all of this. In any event, she killed her three kids, so it doesn't matter whether she was on prescription drugs, whether she had postpartum depression or anything, you can't kill your kids or anyone else's kids. And it was clearly premeditated. As you know, the jury, there was one man, only one man who decided that she should go to jail, that she should not go to jail. And it's just so absolutely insane.

43:47Sorry, I'm crossed up. It's just so crazy when you hear these stories, like it really is. So anyway, here are some of the female jurors on the Clancy trial going after the lone man who would not let her get off the hook. He was very arrogant. He really did not take anything that anybody said. And then he said, but I'm still not going to say that she's not guilty by reason of insanity. We would highlight it and, you know, so-and-so, this is the definition of reason of love. But he had the hardest time getting over the fact that Lindsay viciously killed her children. He had the hardest time getting over that she viciously killed her children.

44:32So I may have intro that slightly backwards. Obviously, he was the one that felt she was guilty of murdering her kids. That woman got over it. Those other women, they just, well, she murdered her three kids. But, you know, she was on prescription drugs. And even though it was premeditated, she was having postpartum depression and everything else. like there is a serious mental disease going on here. Here's a bit more from the female jurors, and they just love Kevin Reddington, who was Lindsay's attorney in the case. Indeed, and I sat down with them for about an hour, actually over an hour. There's Kelly, who is a retired chef who lives in Plymouth.

45:13Ronnie the f***ing person, I guess she was an academic. She's a retired fifth grade special needs teacher and Paula, who worked for government contractors. Look, they talked about the defense and how one of them said they were so impressed that if they needed representation, they would hire Kevin Reddington. God, guys, they were just so impressed that this guy could get up there and try to and somehow, I guess he must be pretty impressive. He convinced a whole bunch of women that a woman who killed her and the other three kids isn't guilty of killing her three kids. Absolutely insane. Of course, Reddington actually not the greatest legal mind ever because of now he's doing press just like they're doing press and they're gonna get this guy killed.

45:53I mean, eventually he's gonna get doxxed, obviously. They know who he is. I have no doubt they know what his name is and where he lives and people talk during lunch and everything else and the threats on this life. I hope he's in the witness protection program where there's some protections around him, but Reddington is not the greatest legal mind. And here he is asking Trump to pardon Lindsey Clancy, except Trump can't do that because it's not a federal case. What's next for Lindsey? I'd like to say that perhaps Donald Trump, who felt compelled to speak out about this case, may very well, Mr.

46:26President, I would hope that you would consider this young lady, the type of person she is, what she's been through, and consider a pardon. Thanks for coming in this morning. My pleasure. We'll be right back. The type of person she is, well, she's the type of person that murdered her three kids. What she's been through, well, she murdered her three kids. And also, as I said, it's a federal, it's a state case, not a federal case. Trump is the president of the federal government who can only pardon things that are federal cases. So, but he's just so great. He's so great. It's just incredible. Of course, the more dangerous part of all of this is that somehow now because of the infection that is social media and the algorithms and TikTok particularly, there are all sorts of trends of women literally throwing cold water on their kids to harm them, to show how they are the victims.

47:17They're so stressed. And there's all of these, you know, we stand with Lindsay. There's all of these girls now that are saying that the husband actually murdered the kids. Here's just a small compilation of that. I don't know what as a society we are going to do with this. I think Patrick Lindsay did it and here's how I think it has happened because I have not seen anybody share this perspective. So listen, I'm just going to say it like this. She did not do it. Pat had all the motive to do so. How is he going to sue everybody for defamation of character on this app? We're entitled to our own opinions, freedom of speech.

47:47Honestly, like what is he going to do? Hunt every single person down. So you understand that's a trend on TikTok saying that Patrick, the husband, did it. If you have read the transcript, I mean, I read it the day I got back on the grid. It is one of, I literally, quite literally almost threw up when I read it, the transcript of him calling 911 when he, and then he first says the thing about his wife and then goes into the basement and sees his kids. It's like ripping the fabric of reality when you read it. And that's just reading it, not even hearing it. I don't know that the audio has fully been released.

48:22But the real question here is what is going on? What is pushing these young people to be on trends on TikTok saying that the husband who is the children are the ultimate victims, but the husband who is the other victim here, that he's actually the perpetrator of the crime. Why is it that people think that socialism is good and capitalism is bad? Why is it that people have so many things upside down? Well, the answer to that, of course, is that the mainstream media has been so bad and lied about so many things, you know the list of COVID and Hunter Biden's laptop and all of the stuff, very fine people on both sides, that it's pushed people to alt media where algorithms and bad actors are poisoning their minds.

49:03So let's go back to this for a moment. This is a video from a couple months ago when Elon Musk was at Tommy Robbins, well, he just videoed into Tommy Robinson's rally, and they discuss what the BBC has done to Britain. The BBC is complicit in the destruction of Britain. And we pay for it, Elon, we pay for it. Yes. We're forced to pay for it. Do you know why I send them to jail if we don't pay for it? You're forced to pay for your own destruction. It's insane. It's unfair. It is wrong. Yes, you are forced to pay for your own destruction. Now, fortunately, in America, we don't pay that much for PBS and NPR and these things anymore.

49:41But in Britain, they're paying a significant amount to keep state-funded media, which is a lefty media that has opened up the borders. And you get all the stuff and called Tommy Robinson racist and Elon Musk evil and all of those things. And then what happens? Well, people get brainwashed, and then suddenly it's 10 years later and you're looking around your country going, boy, my country's not even my country anymore because I was brainwashed by state-run media. And this is happening all over Europe, but fortunately, reality eventually pushes back. As you guys know, the major story as it relates to immigration in the last two months has been what's going on in Spain, specifically Ceuta, Spain, where thousands and thousands of Moroccan and otherwise African migrants have come through, they are taking over the shores, they're killing dolphins, they're raping young girls, you know, a little bit of everything.

50:31They're probably raping dolphins. I'm willing to take a risk and just say it. Well, here are 80 ,000 Real Madrid fans holding the flag of Ceuta Spain because they've been pushed far enough. Take a look.

50:58Those are people who realize they are losing their country. I should note that the chants you're hearing there, it's, Sayuda is not for sale. Sayuda must be defended. That was what they were chanting in the stadium. So they lie. The media lies to people. No, there's no immigration problem. No, it's not happening. Oh, we're all just racist, blah, blah. And then just invasions just take place. So, you know, we showed you that bang, bang up Marco Rubio video before. I thought we would end on this. Here is Ted Cruz, who I think, you know, it's funny, Ted almost lost to Beto O 'Rourke in his last election.

51:33It was by 2.6 points. And Beto O 'Rourke, who was a furry and a weirdo, makes, I mean, he makes Tallarico, like Tallarico's a true nut bag. Tallarico makes Beto look sane. But here's Ted Cruz really just simply explaining the difference of the parties right now, and it is up to you to choose. Do you want a common sense agenda of low taxes, low regulations, lots of jobs, securing the border, locking up criminals? Or do you want to embrace the direction the new Democrats have gone, which is Marxism and Islamism? I mean, that's that's where they are. And that's a terrible direction for our country.

52:09It's a common sense. It's not much more complex than that. So, as I always say, you don't have to love the Republicans and the Republicans are messy and not great. Trump has done an awful lot of good. Florida is a beacon of sanity and freedom and a Republican party didn't make sense. I get it. Half the Republicans are squishy and whatever, but they generally know the difference between boys and girls. They know the difference between freedom and slavery. They know the difference between capitalism and socialism, et cetera, et cetera. So the choice will be ours soon enough. And as I raised the alarm yesterday, I will raise it to end the show today.

52:44We better wake up as many people as possible before these midterms or that will be that. However, we're still gonna have lunch today one way or another, I think so. We got a post-game show coming up in 30 seconds, rubenreport.locals.com. Thanks for watching, ciao.
