2:28Nikkita:it's quite nice this is you i think you were upstairs back then yeah yeah this is like a whole production well we were just talking we were talking off camera nikita is currently doing voiceovers for some shows at the moment and we were fascinated to hear more yeah i'm doing one

2:43SheerLuxe Podcast Hosts:for an animation, which I've never done before. Usually I do like voiceovers for like commercials, like TV ads, which I think suits my voice. It's quite, you know. I was just saying like. I can listen to you on an audio book. No, you have such a nice voice for a voiceover. Do you know what my voice type is? What? It's velvety and smooth.

2:59Nikkita:Is that how they describe it? That's what they told me. How would you be? Yeah, yeah, yeah. I don't know. We're like, I'm about us now. My agent at school,

3:06SheerLuxe Podcast Hosts:like at dance college, told us. So she was like, she would listen to us and be like, velvety and smooth. We're like,

3:13Nikkita:I'm like, she can't speak English. I muddle up my words all the time. Well, it's just speaking over everyone. I speak like too quickly and then I like, oh, I don't know what to say. No, I'd say you're excitement and fun. Yeah, I love that. Yeah, and it's high energy. I'd say similar for you.

3:30SheerLuxe Podcast Hosts:There we go. Yeah, there we go. You could be clear, you could be bubbly. Do you want me to look through the list and we'll figure it out?

3:36Nikkita:Right, give us a sneak peek of your character. Come on.

3:40SheerLuxe Podcast Hosts:Well, okay. Okay, the register is quite high, quite nasal. So you've got to go up here. Guys, where are you going? It's really like - Classic. Classic, eyebrows go up like this. You know like kids, very whiny, whiny. Yeah, but you have to do the expressions to you

3:54Nikkita:to really get into character. Yeah, it's quite hard.

3:56SheerLuxe Podcast Hosts:I've normally stood up in like a - Yeah, you want to like move around. You have to. It's not gonna come from here. Do you stand up? The whole session stood up, it's like five hours in the booth. That's quite exhausting.

4:07Nikkita:Just touching on the British Fashion Awards. I was just about to ask you, how was it? It was amazing. How was it? Yeah, so for those listening who didn't see our livestream, we were partnering with the British Fashion Council and Pandora for an exclusive livestream of all of these celebrities arriving. So four of the fashion team were running through all the celebs looks. We had India and Poppy in the press pen. No way. In the media pen, capturing the content, feeding it straight through to us. We were getting up on the iPads, going through the looks. Wow. But they honestly hustled. I was so impressed.

4:35Nikkita:Who was your fave? Really good question. I would honestly say Alexa Chung had this It was almost like more of a fashion week look, but it just looked amazing. And also the carpet was blue this year, not red. Which I thought was so fun. But I kind of, it made all the outfits pop way more. Yeah, I so get you. Yeah. So Alexa Chung had this like funnel neck number. Sort of, it was like a jacket that went into a skirt. Really cool. Rita Ora looked insane. Was it freezing?

4:59SheerLuxe Podcast Hosts:I went two years ago with Pandora. Yes. And it was raining. Really? What was your experience like at the fashion awards? It was amazing. It was amazing. Very overwhelming, obviously. What was it like walking the carpet? Pretty crazy. Also, I was wearing a really crazy dress, which I thought it was either gonna be a hit or a miss. Like it kind of looked like a Christmas tree. But it was the coolest Christmas tree. I was like, it's the fashion awards. Let me not wear a black dress. And then I made it onto like a best dress list.

5:24Nikkita:Yes! Unbelievable! That must have been a career moment highlight. Yeah, crazy. I was like, oh, Anne Hathaway, oh, and me. That is wild. When I saw like Sapner, Charlotte lose images, I was like, this is epic. No, they looked incredibly. The girls, Charlotte's dress. Oh my God, Sapna, Nana, all of them. They all looked absolutely incredible. And did you see the founder of Sojo app? You know Sojo that does the fashion repairs? She had this gorgeous dress. It was like cut out, so minimalist, so chic. There was a lot of black and white. But people just, yeah. Was there a theme? I feel like everyone was going into theme.

5:55Nikkita:I don't know if there was a theme. Did you see Maura Higgins? No, I was just about to say, you took the words out of my mouth. No, I missed it. Who actually crafted that woman? The hat. I love like all the points of her outfit, like the top. Did you see the fingers? She had these pointed, they were gloves, but they were longer. She just never misses. I feel like every red carpet she does, incredible. Her rig as well. It's the moment. What the hell? What is she doing? Genuinely, please give us your tips. Let us know. So the girls then went in, and we were in the belly of the Royal Albert Hall. So we could - The belly of the Royal - That sounds incredible.

6:27Nikkita:I want to be in there. We could hear Ray, we were like, baby. Oh my God, incredible. Yeah, it was so good. And actually, I'll give you a bit of an intel. So as we just got there, so we got there a couple of hours before the red carpet began, Ray was doing a sound check. Do you mind when you show me the video? Yeah, incredible. Jemima in our office, so our office manager went in with Steph. Oh, cause you could sort of pop your head in and just have a little look. Anyway, they were like, oh, who's this? Oh my God, it's Ray in her jeans. She's doing her sound check. Then literally they put the, they clicked record on their phone and she was like, baby.

6:56Nikkita:And they turned it on themselves and were like, it's the most iconic video. Like it could blow up on TikTok. I was like, you gotta get on TikTok, surely. I think it's a bit naughty though. We weren't meant to film.

7:05SheerLuxe Podcast Hosts:Oh yeah, that's like very like backstage. Like that's the scoop. That's the scoop. Yeah, so who performed when you went? I remember Skepta did the DJ set at the outside. Unreal. He was there last night.

7:15Nikkita:Yeah, he looked incredible. He had like his like Ribena jacket on. It was really cool.

7:18SheerLuxe Podcast Hosts:But I can't remember like the actual performance. No. What was I doing?

7:22Nikkita:You were probably just. She was on the best wrestlers. That's all she had to do. Yeah.

7:26SheerLuxe Podcast Hosts:I can't remember. It was two years ago. Yeah. I'll wrap my brain back. So cool. But it was really cool. What have you been up to then?

7:30Nikkita:You've been doing your voiceovers. Are you filming for anything?

7:35SheerLuxe Podcast Hosts:I just finished filming on a new Channel 4 legal drama that I'm gonna be in.

7:40Nikkita:Channel 4 does such good TV shows. They're like some of my favorites.

7:44SheerLuxe Podcast Hosts:I love everyone says that. I think they were saying, they're not sure, but I think maybe Q1 of next year. And can you give us, can you tell us about it? It's called Pierre. David Herbert is the lead. Like amazing, amazing man. It's gonna be good. It's gripping. It's accepted.

7:59Nikkita:Couple of Eps, six Eps, perfect. Six Eps, I mean all Eps.

8:02SheerLuxe Podcast Hosts:And then I'm doing ADR for it now, so like the additional recording. What does that mean? So when you go back into the studio, because on the day maybe the mic didn't pick up the sound problem.

8:12Nikkita:Oh, interesting. You know, aeroplanes, whatever.

8:14SheerLuxe Podcast Hosts:So you have to go in and record on top. And is that just little bits that you have to re-record? Little bits here, there. And I'm looking at it, it looks so good. So it's really exciting.

8:21Nikkita:Well, that's so exciting.

8:22SheerLuxe Podcast Hosts:I know. That's the only time I've got to get a glimpse. One thing I've always wanted to know was

8:25Nikkita:the special effects, so like the doors creaking, like making those kind of things sound stronger.

8:30SheerLuxe Podcast Hosts:Like do they re-record that? Oh, edit. Yeah, definitely. It'll be like in an edit. So incredible. So cool. No, it's true because in the ADR session, like the director was there, the producer, and everyone is really trying to match it to the moment. Cause obviously that's like an additional recording, but.

8:44Nikkita:Incredible. Learning your lines. Like tell us, I'm fascinated. Like how does, is it hard? Do you just, is there a process that you do to learn your lines? Do you have to do it to the mirror?

8:54SheerLuxe Podcast Hosts:Oh no, no, no, never to the mirror. That's like actor 101. I'm just, God.

8:57Nikkita:Just me looking at myself in the mirror. And getting into character, like how much do you, how much you have to find out about the character to like understand how to play them?

9:04SheerLuxe Podcast Hosts:Well, because she's Alicia, I'm playing a girl called Alicia Khan. She's a new character, right? Okay. So she's been written. There's no, she's not like based on a real person. So I'm developing Alicia. Okay. And like thinking of ways to bring her from 2D to 3D.

9:18Nikkita:And is that like based on these are her traits, these are her interests, this is her like dynamic.

9:23SheerLuxe Podcast Hosts:Yeah, there's like obviously all the given moments in the script, like this is what happens to her, her life. But then also underneath that, what is she feeling? Does she feel like, you know, does she feel sick? Does she have a headache? What are the undercurrents happening?

9:34Nikkita:That reminds me of like doing English literature at school. It's very English. You have to go into every single depth with them and who they are. Describe them. Like literally bring them from 2D to 3D. Yeah. Would not be good acting. So, and costume is so easy.

9:48SheerLuxe Podcast Hosts:Alicia was wearing like suits every day. Like I don't wear a suit. So, do you know what I mean? Like just putting on like a, Yeah. She also wears a slac, slac.

9:54Nikkita:Do you ever have pre rituals that you do before you go on set? Or do you listen to music as a song that gets you into it? I'm always so fascinated by these things.

10:03SheerLuxe Podcast Hosts:I think usually in the car, like the car journey from my home to set, like to the morning, yeah, music is so helpful. It's also very early in the morning, like 5am. So I need something to wake up. The whole ritual from getting into the car to stepping on set is a whole thing. Because even in hair and makeup, you know you're getting into, it's all like whatever cup of tea or hot drink you have. Some actors don't even eat breakfast. I see a lot of non-eating breakfast. I feel like that's just to keep them in the zone. Interesting. I eat breakfast though. Yeah, good.

10:31Nikkita:You have your banana. Three breakfast. Love that. Oh my God, it's fascinating. It's so fun. I'm excited. Excited. We can't wait to watch it. Yeah, same. Can't wait.

10:43Nikkita:All right, let's move on to the hot list. So for those listening who don't know, this is where we debunk all of the pop culture and viral moments that are happening this week. So let's kick it off. Macaulay Culkin is suggested to be working on a Home Alone sequel. I saw an article about this and it basically was like, asked a question of like, would Home Alone ever come back? I feel like he must get asked that every single day of his life. And he responded and basically gave this whole like preface of what the idea could be. And everyone ran with it, they're obsessed. And like, now we're all like - To be fair, have you heard the idea?

11:15Nikkita:Yeah, it honestly sounds great. So he's obviously got a son of his own now. And he was like, I could play like a divorced father or a widow or something, you know, I'll be working really hard and I don't have time to spend with my son. So the son somehow manages to lock him out the house. And then there we go. Yeah, he then. Yeah, he then. Well then the son basically then becomes like, I guess not with the robbers. But yeah. Playing pranks on him, playing tricks on him. This is so good. And it's like a metaphor to getting his son back into his life, like back into his heart.

11:45SheerLuxe Podcast Hosts:Do you think he's not pitched this though? Like surely this is amazing. Maybe this is his chance to see how it flowed with the audience.

11:50Nikkita:And like the fact social media have now like. Picked it up. And whipped it up and are sort of running with it. I love this. I love it when a show almost reinvents yourself after so many years of being obsessed with it when you were a child.

12:00SheerLuxe Podcast Hosts:Who's done that? I swear that has happened. Like Bridget Jones's Diary. You know like the fourth film coming out? Brilliant. That was unbelievable. And it's the nostalgia.

12:09Nikkita:Everyone taps into that nostalgia. It's the best form of marketing. And getting so excited about it and then knowing how excited it made you as a child to then now watch it as your adult form. And can you imagine all the, like for a Barbie for instance, all the merch, all that. Like Home Alone could bring that back. Like imagine if they launched it on Christmas day next year. Home Alone is Christmas to a lot of people. You know what I found out the other day? The mom who plays the mom in Home Alone. It was only 35 at the time when she filmed. Was she? I mean, she was unreal, wasn't she? Unbelievable.

12:35Nikkita:Yeah, her hair was insane. I remember I got myself into a loop of learning all the Home Alone facts. Oh, it's so good. I wanna watch it, guys. I do watch Home Alone at the start of December or the end. Oh, actually, probably more end. Yeah, 100%. Like it'd be something I'd put on. Which is your favorite? The one with the robbers where he sort of like electrocutes them and all of that. Second one I think is the best.

12:57SheerLuxe Podcast Hosts:Oh, it's just the one that makes me feel the most Christmas. Yeah. Do you have any other favorite like 100 % I'll watch it this season Christmas? Have you seen the Family Stone? No.

13:05Nikkita:I hadn't seen it till last year. My best friend got me into it. Really? What is it? It's basically like, think of like big family. They, one of the sons brings a new girlfriend and it's basically them at Christmas time. All these things happen. and the family are like adjusting to whether they like her or not. And all these little things happen. And then the ending is quite sad. Okay, don't tell us the ending. No, no, don't worry, I won't. What's it called? The Family Stone. The Family Stone. Okay. It's on Netflix. It's on Netflix or Amazon, one of them. But I honestly highly recommend. Okay. Do you have a favorite Christmas one?

13:35SheerLuxe Podcast Hosts:I don't, but I do seem like I do always watch Elf. Like Elf always just pops up. And I love it.

13:39Nikkita:I can quote that. Yeah, 100%.

13:41SheerLuxe Podcast Hosts:Word for word.

13:42Nikkita:Give us one. Singing, I'm in a store and I'm singing. Hey, no singing in the North Pole. Yes, there is. We sing all the time when we make toys.

13:52SheerLuxe Podcast Hosts:That's a great voice. See?

13:53Nikkita:Give her an act. Honestly, I could go on. Voice actor. I could go on.

13:57SheerLuxe Podcast Hosts:That is incredible. Yeah, Elf is iconic.

14:00Nikkita:Yeah, no, it is iconic.

14:01SheerLuxe Podcast Hosts:And also Love Actually. Love Actually. What's the other one? The Holiday. The Holiday is great.

14:05Nikkita:Would you ever do the holiday and swap with someone else in a different country? Absolutely. I think that's such a good idea. Where would you go? New York. I'd be like, guys, there's a flat in South West London. Swap me for someone in New York. I feel like that could get snapped out. I think that would work. I did see, do you follow Millie Goldsmith? Yes. She put it on saying she was looking to sublet. Unreal. Yeah, to house swap. I think within like five minutes she'd found someone. Really, that's really fun. Where would you go? I actually would, New York is like literally my favorite place in the whole wide world.

14:33Nikkita:It's so magical to me.

14:34SheerLuxe Podcast Hosts:Yeah.

14:35Nikkita:Or like somewhere like so random, like really, really like - Like Canada or something. I'd quite like to - Why would I just be thinking that? I'm going like west.

14:43SheerLuxe Podcast Hosts:I'm going east. I want to go like Japan. Oh yeah, unreal. Something so unique that like. That's cool. You know like someone's home that's probably like a really cute mini Japanese home. I'm never going to see that ever again.

14:52Nikkita:But also I'd love to just like be them for that couple of weeks. And like go into their friendship group, everything. Yeah, culture. Oh my God, unreal. I really want to do that. Anyone wants to do that. Love it. Guys, Toys R Us is coming back. Yeah, incredible. Did you ever go to Toys R Us when you were younger? Of course. I have this vivid memory of falling into a pit of unicorns in Toys R Us. That would make a good advert. Just saying Toys R Us, if you need someone to fall into a pit of unicorns, I'm your girl. So apparently they did a trial run in WH Smith. It went swimmingly. Oh, I can imagine.

15:24Nikkita:So they're back. Again, that's the whole nostalgia thing. We're like, because it related to us so much, like kids now, us having friends with kids or whatever, being around people like that. And I think the fact it failed was probably because of Amazon and all of these big retailers. So it's great to see that they're coming back. Oh, it's so good. When's it coming back? I think it's back. In the US and the UK as well, I think. That's where we're gonna give. Yeah, I remember my mom used to, it was on a big roundabout in our hometown and she would avoid that roundabout. She said any time she thought that she could get around this roundabout, we'd be screaming like, Toys R Us.

15:58Nikkita:I wonder if they'll change their logo because I feel like their star logo was the back would up. And I was like, hopefully they don't change anything like that. And they had the mascot, which was the giraffe. Oh my God, yeah. Actually, they have launched a Tik Tok, it's pretty good. Really? Yeah, the social media, the girl or guy seems to be tapping into it. You could do some really fun things with that, I feel. Oh, unreal, can't wait to go. That's just made me think of,

16:19SheerLuxe Podcast Hosts:do you remember Build-A-Bear?

16:20Nikkita:Yes.

16:21SheerLuxe Podcast Hosts:That's still around, guys.

16:22Nikkita:I know.

16:23SheerLuxe Podcast Hosts:You would put the heart in.

16:24Nikkita:Yeah, but it used to be a rip off. Used to cost like 50 quid for a bear. No, it wasn't. And do you remember, you'd kiss the heart and then you'd do like a dance. And then you would put it in like the, like a washing machine-esque thing. It's kind of goes for like jelly cat is now. You know like when they have like their restaurant you could go up to. Yeah, you could record into the tummy. So you'd press it. Oh my God, my mom used to get so annoyed to come home and say like something so annoying into this bear and like wouldn't stop playing it. All the way in the car. That's genius. And then it had like outfits.

16:50Nikkita:Yes. You could dress it up, couldn't you? But it was, yeah, it was just really overpriced. So overpriced. But that's what I used to ask for for my Christmas. A new outfit for my Builder Bear please. Or two. Okay, Variety have declared that Ariana Grande has made it officially from a pop star to an actress. And I think that's so cool. How many people nowadays can actually do that? And if you think about it, she was in like Victorious and stuff like that. No, but that's the thing. So she has had acting experience. And then she went more into the singing, killed it with that. Yeah, true. So actually she started as an actress.

17:21Nikkita:I feel like not on Nickelodeon. Although I used to love Nickelodeon. Same. Were you a Nickelodeon kid?

17:26SheerLuxe Podcast Hosts:All of them. Nickelodeon, Disney Channel. What was your favorite? I mean, that's all. Where did we start? like sweet love as I can Cody like Zoe 101 I was addicted same I actually started talking

17:38Nikkita:American accent that's what my mom was like this needs to stop no toys for us no talking American accent no blue sweets I actually watched that tiktok on luxury the other day of you've been like I wasn't allowed blue sweet love why blue it's just sent me off the wall apparently Jesus I think

17:54SheerLuxe Podcast Hosts:that's kind of legal now isn't it yeah that e-number is like no no yeah it's a big bonbons yeah um

17:59Nikkita:But yeah, no, I feel like not a lot of people can do things like that. Can you think of any - She's a star, I would say. I'm trying to think of anyone else who's like, I guess like - Lady Gaga, yeah. Yeah, and Cher, Cher won an Oscar. Oh my God, so true. Yeah. Frank Sinatra, he won an Oscar, also incredible musician. Yeah.

18:16SheerLuxe Podcast Hosts:I think it's fun for people to be skeptical of singers turning into, or doing acting, and then when they kill it, Ariana in Wiccan and Lady Gaga, I think it's wonderful. I think it's a wonderful time.

18:24Nikkita:I don't know why, it's like Harry Styles popped into my brain. Yeah, of course. He's done a few films now. But yeah, that's so cool. I feel like snaps to Ariana. Billie Eilish is launching a film with James Cameron who directed Titanic, Avatar. It's a 3D immersive film of her shows. Hit me hard and soft. Yes. But what will make it, why is he moving into the music industry? Or maybe it's just another realm he wants to explore. Yeah.

18:50SheerLuxe Podcast Hosts:I wonder if they've had a relationship and they've really, when people really adore each other. I think that's kind of what I've gained from the press appearances they've done. Yeah, so then they were like, we should do something together. I was like, I wonder how that came about. Because she announced, I think, on stage

19:03Nikkita:that you guys are gonna see a lot more cameras than usual. I'm creating something really exciting with him. And that will, like, Avatar. I mean, Avatar. Yeah. This is gonna be, I think it will be next level. Because there have been those sort of, you know, Taylor Swift did it, JB's done it. But I feel like maybe it's Billy, maybe, Billy, first name basis, taking it to like a different level of being like, let's reinvigorate, reinvent this whole idea of tour documentaries and really make it feel so immersive that maybe people who can't afford to go to these shows. And potentially they must have worked on her set list and her performance being catered to that, the cameras as well.

19:41Nikkita:Yeah, definitely. Do you know when it's coming out? When is it?

19:43SheerLuxe Podcast Hosts:Next year, March. Oh, it's so exciting. She's another star, I think. She's incredible.

19:48Nikkita:Okay, so basically, have you guys seen Olivia Dean came onto her Instagram store and basically called out Live Nation, Ticketmasters, all those big ticket selling websites for basically allowing people to resell their tickets for absolutely extraordinary prices. And it's now she basically called them out and been like, you're making my shows and everyone's shows basically nowadays. So inaccessible for people. No one can afford it. No one can go. No one can share the experience. unless they're paying upwards of like hundreds and hundreds of pounds for a ticket to a show.

20:21SheerLuxe Podcast Hosts:Is that what it is? Why these like ticket prices are so high? Because people resell, resell, resell. And they allow it to happen.

20:26Nikkita:But they allow it because they have platforms for reselling. And it's just nuts. It's actually nuts. But I feel like she's not the first person that's called them out for things like that. I can't remember who else has called them out. No, it was someone else really recently that did the same thing. I don't know why, I wanted to say like Lola Young or something, but maybe it wasn't me. And Oasis, didn't they call it out as well? Yes, they did. because it is actually ridiculous. Like fully ridiculous.

20:47SheerLuxe Podcast Hosts:Yeah, it should be capped at some point. I also saw one about the, you know, also it's like bots buying the tickets. And that's the problem is like the normal people can't even get the tickets. So all this like AI getting the tickets and then reselling it so people are profiting. Throw it back to the days when you could honestly buy like a concert ticket for like 15 pounds.

21:05Nikkita:Do you remember? Can you remember the first ever concert you went to? First, it was like, oh. Mine was the Chainsmokers. Chainsmokers. Come on. It was my first ever night out. Do you remember like the era, you know that era of like indie pop? Yeah, yeah. When like the Smiths and stuff, but who were those like the wombats? I went to UMI at six. Did you go to UMI at six? I went to UMI at six.

21:24SheerLuxe Podcast Hosts:I remember UMI at six, that was pretty iconic. Yes, who else did I see? But before that I went to like S Club 7. Oh, did you? With brownies or goats. Unreal. That is so cute. We did a trip in your outfit. And we were all just like little, tiny little children like S Club. S Club and then like, yeah. That's really cute. Ain't no funny like it. It's crazy.

21:43Nikkita:I love that but yeah those were the days when you could get a concert ticket for like£15 nowadays don't even think about it it's ridiculous I can't remember the last concert I actually went to it's minimum£100 it's so expensive and often you want to go with someone yeah it's absolutely wild and then it's like the whole debate of whether you stand or you sit and now it's like

22:00SheerLuxe Podcast Hosts:that is the worst yeah I think I was sat for Yumi at six and I wanted to stand up but they kept sit down my heart milliliter but now 16 year old brain was like no but I want I'm sick of you Why am I not allowed? Why is everyone sitting?

22:14Nikkita:But we were up on the one rig. We couldn't. Yeah. And I feel like now there's no differentiation in sitting or standing now. I actually think sometimes the sitting is more expensive now. Because you're a bit of you. And I feel like everyone's just a bit manic in the mosh pit. Yeah, they are. Catch me in the mosh. Where are you? Where are you? Sitting or standing? I'd say mosh pit honestly gives me anxiety. Really? I feel like when I went to Glastonbury, I'd be like, I'd be back at the queue. Or back. They're very far back. Really? Like back middle? The Brits just know, like the Brits have that, that like, obviously we will queue for anything.

22:46Nikkita:Anything. Like I queue on us so many times in a day. Why is it? Why are we so like? I don't know. It's so weird. I hate it if I do it. And there's so much etiquette behind it. Oh, there's like, absolutely. Even today I got on my bus. I know Phil while I arrived before, like young kids next to me. And I stood behind them, let them get on first. And as you do. As you should. As you should. But I just love that a Brit will pull another Brit up on, on like cutting into the queue. That is my love to a T. Yeah, absolute carry. Have you done that before? I just like throw it, like. Nice. No words. Cue's that way babe.

23:20Nikkita:No words, just, yeah, back you go. Yeah, I know, I don't know why we have such an etiquette with Cue. It's good.

23:26SheerLuxe Podcast Hosts:But I probably accuse me, so sorry. Actually, I was just there.

23:30Nikkita:Well, I promise I'm not, sorry. I just need to get something. There's actually a Cue. And then you look back, it's like a million people just like this. And they're like, excuse me, it's actually a Cue. But I've actually heard in Coachella that you all have to like stay, I don't know why I'm going back to a festival, but you all have to stay in a box. You do, I've been to Coachella once. What do you mean?

23:47SheerLuxe Podcast Hosts:Well, no, the drinking is in the box. Wait, so you can't take your drink to the concert? No, you have to drink it at the bar and then you go to the stage. Is that because of people like throwing stuff? It's probably very sensible. Probably, but like - No, but it's so hot. I think you're allowed to take water out, but you want to have a drink in your hand. Stage is like million dollars worth in the middle of the desert.

24:07Nikkita:And it confused me so much. I was like, what, so this is like a white painted line around all these areas and you gotta stand in a box.

24:12SheerLuxe Podcast Hosts:Extremely like pen crowd, you're all, exactly. The Brits could never. Try and stop someone from not a child. Mob mentality. The one time I'd be like, yeah, mob mentality. Go out with our pints of drinks that we spent like$20 on or something ridiculous. Just to go watch the artists you want.

24:31Nikkita:Crazy, crazy, crazy. Wild. Have you seen Jacquemus' latest campaign for the Valerie bag? Insane. The marketing that they do on that brand is sensational. It's all dedicated to his mom, right? Yeah, so for context, Valerie is his late mother. And the ad was basically filmed from a child's perspective. So it was like her coming through the door. Yeah, rushing, put her bags down. You know when you put your bags down and go straight to the loo? And then it was like her trying to, she couldn't get her boots off at the end of the bed. But it was from like a child's perspective. I didn't know it was from a child's perspective.

25:01Nikkita:Now that makes it so much more interesting. Because it is from that sort of lower point of view, isn't it? Don't you just love it when brands just get it? Like, Jack and Moose gets it so well. Every campaign they do, and it makes you invest, watch that whole thing, invest in the bag, invest in the brand. And the story. Yeah, the story. The storytelling is unreal.

25:17SheerLuxe Podcast Hosts:I also love that fashion brands are doing more short films, like these are the Chanel design. Yes. R &B is doing it now. Miu Miu did some Miu Miu shorts. Like, I mean, as a actor, I love to watch. That's like my favorite collab. Yeah, of course. That's like both worlds colliding.

25:32Nikkita:So cool, and I think it's so smart, so genius. But yeah, that was incredible. Big, big fan.

25:43Nikkita:Should we move on to things we're loving? Are there any products you're obsessed with right now? Oh, I actually just found a new brand. I actually found it from a TikTok I was watching from an influencer called Ava Black. Do you guys ever heard of her? Yeah. She's incredible. She's so cool. And she was doing like a Christmas gift guide sort of thing. She recommended this brand called Justine Klenke, I think it's called. The jewelry is so cool. If you're a fan of jewelry, you'd love this. really kind of like, not like out there, but it's a bit more different to like your average like earrings or whatnot that you could get from like, like the ASOS and HM, your high street shops.

26:14Nikkita:And they do a lot of like asymmetric earrings, which I think is so cool. I've done that a few times where I like, I wear mismatched earrings. Different ones, yeah, love that. Yeah, just to spice up the outfit a bit. And these ones are so cool, and they're like layered pieces, lots of like gold and silver, not much color, but more of like classic metals mixed together. And they do things like necklaces, yeah, earrings, rings, so cool, and I'm definitely gonna put a few on my Christmas. and they're so inexpensive. Really? Like maybe like 30 quid for a pair of earrings. I love this. I think in comparison what you see in new brands coming through with now, obviously because they're newer brands and smaller the prices are a bit more, but this one has caught my eye and I feel like I'm a fan.

26:51SheerLuxe Podcast Hosts:I trust your judgment. I'm loving your rings so much. I'm like, yeah.

26:54Nikkita:And I collect jewelry as well. So I feel like, yeah. Like all over different places. They're so cool. How do you store it though?

26:59SheerLuxe Podcast Hosts:Because like jewelry is just.

27:01Nikkita:Oh, I know how you store it. Go on. In the Daisy London jewelry box. So good. They are amazing. You open it and you can put your, actually put your earrings, there's holes to punch them through. And that comes down and there's necklace hooks. And then there's loads of bits to put your rings in. That's such a good Christmas present actually. It is. And they've just done a collab with frimps, I believe. Oh, I think you're right. So some cool designs. And it's even like Lexola as well. They have like a sunglasses case that you can put your sunglasses in. So cool. And it's like really chic and cool.

27:31Nikkita:Yes, you're right. And even like Heaven Mayhem, they've got a really cool coffee table book but also compacts like a storage box. Love that. So cool. I'm also loving Love Island Australia. Really? Oh my God. Literally going down under. If you're a fan of - And it's good characters. Yes. The drama is drumming right now. Yeah, same. Also, Zoella fans. Yeah. Vlogmas out tonight. Oh, it's out. Classic. I made my boy - Yeah, I'll dabble sometimes. No, honestly, she's incredible. I made my boyfriend last night watch her first one last year to get him into it. because he's gonna sit with me every night and watch it.

28:04Nikkita:Yeah, great. Because she's so wholesome. Oh, she is wholesome. She's just the best. She is very cute.

28:08SheerLuxe Podcast Hosts:But she's bought more for my sisters. I don't know, they were like obsessed. That is me, I'm obsessed. I'm so obsessed. But yeah, those are the things I'm loving right now.

28:15Nikkita:Brilliant, love that, thanks, Loretta.

28:16SheerLuxe Podcast Hosts:Nikita, what are you loving? Well, carrying on with film, I feel like I'm going to the cinema so much more when it's winter. Yeah. And I watched, well, I watched Wicked for Good last night. Well, not even last night, yesterday, it was yesterday in the daytime. Monday daytime. Love that. Guys, it's fun employment, you know? Yeah, it's fun employment. Obsessed. I love Wicked. I've not watched it. I'm really angry that anyone said part two wasn't good. I've seen a few people say this. Stop it. Really? It's phenomenal. I think either you get it, you get it, or you don't, do you know what I mean? Wicked is very nostalgic for me because of going to drama school, like going to dance school.

28:52SheerLuxe Podcast Hosts:All of that music is so nostalgic. And I think it was wonderful. Part one is definitely better, but part two was still so, so good. Still cry, do you know what I mean? You got me, I like this. I just love it. So yeah, and I also watched Die My Love, which is an independent film. But it's with Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson. I watched it twice now. I would really recommend this film. It is one to watch. It is intense. It's very intense, it's very surreal, it's very overwhelming, but yeah, I don't know. It's an independent film, it's very animalistic, it's just good. Love that. I love cinema though.

29:31Nikkita:Good for the reasons. I actually went to the theater last week. Went to see Operation Mincemeat. I don't know if you guys heard it. I've seen it. It's so good. It's so good. Incredible. It's basically based on true story in World War II where basically the Germans were about to infiltrate either Sicily or Greece. And then the Brits were basically trying to take them off route, get them off the scent basically. Anyway, it follows the journey of them having to create this character and build out that person's story. And all of the letters.

30:00SheerLuxe Podcast Hosts:It was so good. In a comedy way. In a theater, farcical. Yeah, there was only five actors.

30:06Nikkita:It was incredible. Only five actors. Yeah, the men played the women, the women played the men. And the outfit changes, the set. Seamless. Oh, it was incredible. It was in this really little theater in Covent Garden. And I honestly really recommend it to anyone. Oh God, unreal. I always want to every single winter and I never do. It's tick off like a theater show.

30:26SheerLuxe Podcast Hosts:Either that or you should go watch Stereophonic. I watched that in the West End a couple weeks ago and it's like a musical play. It's a play with songs, it's not musical. No, it's musical isn't it? It's musical. What am I on about? What does that mean?

30:40Nikkita:But that's kind of like Operation Mince Me. Exactly.

30:42SheerLuxe Podcast Hosts:It's all set in one thing. It's set in a music recording studio. I bet you hear that. And set in the 70s, it's all about this, like a group of a band that are just doing music throughout the 70s and it's really good like acting's fantastic the singing is like incredible and you don't get bored that you're just watching one set it's just it's really good stereophonic okay yeah it goes like stereophonic

31:09Nikkita:i love a good soundtrack you know when you then leave and you just want to play it yeah i'll

31:13SheerLuxe Podcast Hosts:like this it was like my earworm for the next week oh i love that i'd watch it again and that's

31:18Nikkita:Book your theater in Anna. Yeah, I know. And then one other just off topic fashion. Zara have just released this bomber and it's in this like plaid. Seen it. So incredible. Top of my wishlist. So good. Love it. I feel like you always find such good Zara things. You're welcome. Guys, we're gonna have to wrap it up there. Thank you so much. I enjoyed this pod so much.
