In short

Boob job experiences and regrets (including implant size too big, capsular contracture, and later lift), beauty “tweakments” focused on prevention/skin health (Botox, polynucleotides/Profhilo, lasers), and embracing independence and identity in your 40s after divorce.

Guests

Georgia Corrish-Cole (host). Dr. Nina Bow (Hodge) is a leading dental surgeon and facial aesthetics expert. Hodge is also a friend/colleague of Georgia.

Key claims

Botox can prevent static lines if started in late 20s/early 30s; polynucleotides/amino acids are “collagen boosters” (not volume fillers); maintenance is typically every 3–4 months, with lasers in autumn/winter. Financial independence enables freedom and better parenting/partnership.

Notable examples

A guest went from “double D” (about 495cc) to smaller implants (335cc) after capsular contracture and asymmetry post-pregnancy/breastfeeding; later had a lift. Independence story includes learning about narcissism/gaslighting and leaving after prolonged silent treatment. Beauty examples include Charlotte Tilbury makeup, NARS blush, bonded individual lashes, and specific treatments like Profhilo Superhydro and “underlift”/EmilyLift contour.

1:03Hello and welcome to the Showlux podcast. I'm Georgia Corrish-Cole, Showlux's founder and CEO. And today I'm joined by Hodge. And well, I feel this is very formal. I know. Friend of the business and also leading dental surgeon and facial aesthetics expert. She's the best. Dr. Nina Bow. Welcome. Ciao, ciao. Thanks for having me. So Hodge and I have been saying for ages that we've got to talk to all readers. And it's really important that we have brilliant, inspiring, hot, grown-up women living their best lives, working really hard. Who are mothers too? Yeah. It made perfect sense to you. I was sitting in your chair and I was like, we were chatting away and I was like, Nina, we need to do this on a podcast.

1:49Yeah. Absolutely. With Hodge. First things first, we always start with outfits. Give the people what they want. Hodge, what are you wearing? Do you know, I did a big clean out yesterday And I found this in the back of James' wardrobe Is it his or yours? No, it's mine Love that It's like a gift to myself Is it a suit? It's a suit So it's a suit from Shona Joy Another Australian brand I feel I'm flying with that You love her? Love her Can I just say, she just sent me a little sequined dress And it's really like little but loose Yeah It's really cool That green and black dress I had on at my birthday last year is her Is it?

2:25You love her? It's really sexy dresses. A vest from Zara. White shoes from Studio Miller with a really small heel, which I like. And a belt from Mint Velvet. And earrings from Heaven Mayhem. You always ask about these earrings, wouldn't they? Yeah. Nina, looking gorge, as always. Thank you, I know. Banging. Thank you. What are you wearing? So, I'm wearing shoes from Prada a couple of seasons back ago, but so comfy. Then jeans from Mazon Margiela, they're actually you inspired me the first time I mean, I saw them on you. Well, now you've got them in every color. Yes, correct. I got them jeans color, and then I got them black, and I also have them white.

3:02And then I got a crop top. They actually had it when I had my boobs were bigger. Then I had them, like, redone, reshuffle off the kids. So it gets a bit looser, but that's fine. So we're flying through really important things here. I know. I'll explain everything later if you're interested. We love it. And then, yeah, just a jumper from Chanel. So a top from Chanel. Gosh, did you buy them together? I did actually, I did. I'm wearing, I've got to give you the credit for the shorts. Oh. Doe and shorts inspired by Hodge. And then I'm wearing my, you know where this is from? Primark. I know, you love the Primark.

3:35And I'm wearing a Primark bra. And they're just so good. Love this necklace. And this is Julietta. Oh, so nice. Which actually arrived, I got home from staying with friends and it was there. I ordered it so long ago. I love that, it's a treat. And then I'm wearing my old M &S. Charlotte has these. let's get back the boobs yes so I had my boobs done the first time when I was young and a bit silly uh not doing much was I like I think I was like 21 I was like yes why not I had good breasts before but you know one of those things you're like why not everybody was having boobs done so I'm like me too so I had them done in US and then they were too big for my frame what size did you go from and to oh my god so I asked for a double d in us Miami not a good thing to do in my I was like please very natural but double d and then I had something like I think 495 cc massive and then even mean it means humongous except essentially like so heavy and then I was stuck with them through my pregnancy then I had two kids and breastfed and then what happened I had a contraction on one side so they just look very uneven so after my second child was a contraction when it basically it's one of complication from silicon implants called capsular contracture where essentially there's a scar tissue that can get created all around the the actual implant so what happens one of the breasts can get really really hard and gets higher so it didn't look very nice because obviously they look very unnatural and asymmetrical.

5:15So there's no solution except from having them redone. So I was like, you know what? I had that contracture. They don't look great. And so I had them redone. But then after two kids and breastfeeding two kids, I had to have a lift. So I went much smaller and I had a lift. I'm so happy. What size are they now? 335 cc. So it's basically... What is this? It's a ccab. It was almost like a 34 something. 34 C cup. 34 C cup. Well, they look great. I'm toying with it. Can't decide. Can we also, I'm slightly obsessed with this gorgeous girl here. Can we just. Yeah, very cool. This thing here. What do we call that?

5:54This one. Yeah. I think it's called the Duff. The Tuff is from Maria Tash. Wow. It looks amazing. But it's so sore. Is it sore? No. It's the least sore. No, honestly. Well, it's a woman who deals in injectables. this is not a good measure but it is really very cool. I have this rule that if my children ever try and come through my front door with a piercing in their lip, their nose their eyebrow or their conch, they will not be allowed through the front door. That on the other hand is quite cool. And Patricia who works for Chanel, she's got loads of little ones and they're so chic. But also for me it's the meaning so it's maybe I'm saying too many things but it's the first one I did after my divorce and the meaning is I only want diamond and light coming in through my ears only words of light oh love that no bad things anymore so you brought that up so you are recently well it's been two years two years and you have two boys and you are a single well you have a lovely boyfriend happy one year anniversary um and you deserve it but you have two young children you work bloody hell this woman works hard and suddenly single mom in your 40s it's it's not uncommon and we were saying recently weren't we like we know more and more people I've got a great girlfriend who recently they went their separate ways and she really struggled with it and I remember saying to her you have got 40 years of happiness yeah yes and you're only just working out who you are and what you want you change so much don't you she married quite young and I was like there is just so much life to go for and I remember you saying you just felt like exactly so I think I met my ex-husband when I was 23 and I was living in Italy but at the time I didn't even speak English at the time can you imagine really yes oh my god I know it's crazy you don't know what you don't know and I think like I am so grateful because I had two beautiful kids two boys 11 and 6 and I come from a Catholic family no one ever divorced in my family ever so when I actually said I think I'm unhappy I want to go separate ways they almost literally locked me in a mental hospital saying this girl is really unwell no like we absolutely no because obviously the kids come first especially in an Italian family yeah no you can't do that for the kids the women sucks up and shuts up exactly which actually that was my I think that's what I struggled the most still the guilt of the idea of the family which I didn't have because obviously I wasn't happy for so long and also I think we should teach you got girls like I just go but even boys like we should teach kids about um personality disorders I had to learn the hard way was narcissism is was gaslighting is I had no idea no one taught me or none of these things and I don't think you our generation no you know you just saw you know maybe someone was really strong and making fun of you or what that did just the way they are I just ignore them but there's so much more to it you just knew that gut he wasn't treating you in the right way even though it was masked yes I was like well that's just the way it's just you know that's fine and but then you got to a point where like actually I this doesn't feel right to me and I was saying to him look you make fun of me all the time you put me down it I don't like it and if someone loves you so of course I'm really sorry I never meant to hurt you yeah and if someone says to you all the time you're just so sensitive you're so boring now 10 years ago you would have laughed and you know anyway now that was when I was 38 I'm now 40 you can't go anywhere because no one will ever get you Nina because you're old with baggage and baggage obviously are my two kids so for me I felt I was believing those words I was like okay well actually it's true like if I separate now I'm late 30s two kids I think you've had a successful career I think that's the only thing I think my job saved me because I was like okay you can mind my insecurity as a person as a woman but not in my job that was my safe space and no you can't get there and I think that is what saved me and and slowly I just felt no it just doesn't feel right and but the tipping point was the the silent treatment like I was giving silent treatment for weeks and weeks and I got to a point where I was given six weeks of silent treatment and something he didn't speak to me for six weeks at home while you were living here in front of the children did he speak no no I mean that is so cool but I think he pushed the boundary too much and he raised the bar too much and something inside me shifted and I was like after 15 years of this where I was always the one going to him saying you know what enough I can't I can't do this anymore I'm sorry even if I was right something shifted I was like no I now do not tolerate someone giving me the silent treatment it's the other way around I do not I don't want this I don't tolerate this so you can carry on I'm not coming to you and that that was a big shift how long from that shift until you left because I feel it's a journey isn't it I always remember Stacey Dugit saying uncoupling unravelling a family that has been together that long yeah is such a huge undertaking like that's the thing that I think is the most not that I'm about to get divorced but you know that's the thing that I think would terrify me so much is where you even begin to unpick those knots unravel those lives that have you know have become one totally i think if i think if i knew what would have happened i don't think i had i maybe i would have no ignorance is bliss completely i was so done i think i think when a woman checks out emotionally she has been she has been checked out for a long time before it was already years and years and years so actually since that point it was a month oh my god what until you left left done and I bet he didn't see it coming no no absolutely not and I was like I was so convinced from you know his way of being so controlling I was like he's not even gonna try to come back with me because he clearly hates me he puts me down every day and the opposite happened and I think the input of the kids what really killed me but what saved me was having therapy weekly talking to a professional about it and understand that for me was the freedom was understanding the personality the disorder of narcissism and the effect of understanding gaslighting and understanding me understanding then later on over two years why I chose someone like that but has been and yeah and also I'm so I'm so lucky to have this incredible boyfriend now really supports me and he's the most amazing human being and actually that's such a love story because you've known him forever yeah i met him when i was 15 um and it feels like home and so i think having the the therapy of a professional therapist and having their true love of someone who really loves you has saved me otherwise i can't even think about it whatever i think also and and this is not a divorce podcast we're gonna have fun but you know this is also I think the age that we're at yeah I actually feel we're quite lucky and and and our friends are in quite a good place but you but you you do hear it more and more and I think if you don't have a career that definitely makes it harder I mean the fact that you had your own identity you you had and your career has gone from strength to strength you've opened your own practice and and it's stunning and booming which is amazing but the fact that you had that financial you had another identity yes oh you had your own identity totally away from just totally exactly and i actually think about those women and financial independence exactly what that is a number one because what you do if you haven't got that it's so hard easy and can you imagine how many women they're not happy they deal with with husbands they have they don't treat them right or they're unhappy and they can't live number one why because they're not financially independent so exactly you nailed it's exactly that as a financial independence

15:05changing the subject let's talk about what everyone's been up to we have to start with you because you were, as you said to me, I might have popped in for a bit of a... into my forehead. It's like, Christ, I'm going to see Nina. I was like, should I wait until I'm back from holiday? I was like, no, no, I'll look at the photos and regret it. Anyway, I did pop in and see you on Thursday. My children were like, where are you going? I was like, no, I've just got a meeting. They're like, it's 6.30, mummy, you're in your gym kit. I said, yeah, I know her very well. My husband's like, where are you going?

15:39I'm like, do you need to always ask? It's none of your business. Let me have some freedom. What are you having done? I was like, you don't need to know. Why can't you tell me? I was like, hon, I don't need to tell you. But you did tell me on Thursday that you were off to, I mean, one of the nice hotels in the whole wide world. Yes, the Belmont in Portofino, the Splendido Hotel. It's my favorite place. I think it's one of my favorite hotels in the world. I've never been to Portofino. What? I know, we need to go somehow. is have you been yes isn't it just insane it is you can't describe most beautiful beautiful beautiful i have to say i didn't stay there um i probably wouldn't inflict my children um on the other guests but it we did go there and we had dinner there and my goodness would i love to go back i love belmont hotels so i think they're some of the most sort of old school chic not flashy yes and the views and they had pianos playing and oh it's just there's something about it when you say that we i last year i went for two days and you see i was like no i'm gonna go for three days and i generally feel like i've been away for two months it's there's um the the view of the terrace on the Portofino is just me and my boyfriend we're both Italian and we both we've been to Portofino many times before we both couldn't stop saying this is a dream look at the view and we are Italian so can I was there's so many Americans I was like these Americans must go mental yeah like do you just go crazy everything is just magic and there's this infinity pool on the Bay of Portofino there.

17:31You just feel your... It feels like you've gone back in time to kind of Ripley date, Tantum is Ripley. Yes. Do you know what I mean? It's like we went to Hotel De Cap the other day and it's a bit like that. You just feel like you've gone back in time. Yeah. And it's just amazing. It's quite like Ravello. Ravello, yes. In Alfie. I think only Italy can do that in that way. We can, yes. No, it's true. It's amazing. And also there's the Baia di Paraggi, where there's the beach, tiny beach, five minutes from Portofino. Where there's two, there's a couple of beach club, very exclusive. There's one, Bagni Fiore, which is Christian Dior.

18:16And then there's a Carillon, which is D &G. You went to Christian Dior, I saw you. Yeah. I saw you under the green umbrella. We went to have lunch. I mean, it's just so good. It's just even there, just like we were, it's interesting because in the hotel, there was mainly Americans. And in this beach club, there's just Italians, like these families that have beds there for like generation. And they pass that same spot. So you can't get those spots. It's just a tradition and it's just, it's magic. Oh, heaven. It's really awesome. Where did you fly to? I did fly to Milan. you can fly to Genova but there's only Ryanair from Sunset and from Milan how long's the journey?

19:00an hour and a half so Milan to Portofino by car two hour and a half and every photo just looks insane oh my god it's just an intrigue we went last summer we did our our Italian road trip and that was definitely my favourite place where was it? I need to go you would absolutely love it tell me where you went as you can because I've got something to tell you I know I went to see Oasis oh my god that was a great reaction oh my god the tickets came out and we were really lucky to get four tickets we booked it ages ago and we were in the mosh pit you're in the mosh pit it's actually the best place to be this is yes it's the best place to be there's a reason people wear bucket hats though because there are lots of like be a throne oh right I'll be taking my Martha's Dance hood then yeah I decided that's about as...

19:55The hoodie as bucket as you get. Bucket of hoodie as I can get. But guys, it is so worth the hike. Is it? Oh my God. It's amazing. It's so nostalgic. Because I think Oasis, they were only a band for three years. What? That was their peak. Three years? Yeah. Stop. Their last concert was, was it Nebworth? I'm really not the diehard. I mean, Wonderwall, effing awesome. I know. Every wedding. Awesome. It was the first dance. It really brought back so many memories. I think I was like doing my GCSEs and A-levels then. And it was just so, and you know the words, you don't even know you know the words.

20:39And they come on the stage. Well, except I discovered on Saturday night, I really don't know the words. I've got quite a lot of work to do before Wednesday. I mean, I was definitely adding my own version, but I knew the tune. Honestly, Richard Ashcroft is first from The Verb, and he's also amazing and very off that time. So that was, I mean, he looks like... Bridge Street Symphony is The Verb, isn't it? Yes. Did he play that? He did that, yeah. Did he? Yeah. It's just him. Oh, right. And then Oasis come on, and they come out holding hands, the brethren. Oh, really? Yeah. So I have to jump in and say, don't tell me I'm into acting hands.

21:13These are our conversations, all right? I thought we went to show some friends on Saturday night who are great, great, great, great friends. And another family were there too. And we're all old friends. And we were sitting at supper in their beautiful house. It was a lovely evening. And Oasis came on the playlist. Josie goes, let's book. Oh, my God. And Tom and Paul are like, let's book, let's book. But anyway, John is like, absolutely not, absolutely not, absolutely not. Absolutely not. I'm far too busy. And I was like, come on, come on. You know you want to. You know you want to. And his wife is like, come on.

21:55Anyway, and I poked and poked and poked and poked and poked. And I went, come on, say yes. Be spontaneous. Say yes, say yes. And he suddenly went, yes. I went, sorry? He goes, yes. Let's book it. Say yes. Anyway, we then went through the playlist. Amazing. Every word to every song. and we then at midnight took a speaker Magnum of Rose walked to the top of their garden and honestly the children who were probably watching us through their bedroom windows as we danced around I mean we basically had our own Easis concert but it does turn out I don't know many of the lyrics I know you'll know enough though little by little so we've been singing all morning oh my god but I loved that acquiesce song number two the lyrics are basically like we need each other yeah back together yeah we need the cash something something but apparently this encore so i have this thing that anyone who knows me knows that i don't stay to the end of a concert ever really why ever i mean it could be spice girls i'm gone before the end but apparently they do this outrageous encore yeah and i've been through the encore and it's bloody well got through their best tracks yeah you can't leave well so wonderwall penultimate was that the penultimate yes and then champagne supernova which is like it's insane i'm on i'm gone no you've got it i won't be there just walk up to the steps then no no watch it but it honestly it's so well because there's just men crying their eyes out just like oh like men are in their 40s with their bucket hats on just weeping with pure happiness it is amazing well i will i will wave from my taxi we booked an uber actually to pick us up did you yeah we booked a car to pick us up there's an like a asda mcdonald's which is like a 15 minute walk and we had a car and then we went back out we went back to Kenston Roof Gardens for drinks.

24:01I finished at 10.15 which is quite good. I'm so excited. I saw Trini went with her daughter and they were both wearing Oasis t-shirts. I was like panic, panic. I know I wasn't in Oasis. No, I saw you went and I thought that was fine. But Tom Cruise was there. Really? He loved, he was at Glastow watching Coldplay. Yeah. He bought 20 tickets. I didn't see him. I also have to give a shout out and I was thinking I was going to tell you on Thursday actually for the Lakes by you. which we went to not a press trip but I really do have to say that we've been going there for about 10 years I think it used to feel like quite a sort of locked community it has now got apartments that you can rent so more hotel-y and I just cannot I said to you on Thursday I can't recommend it enough so there's a restaurant you can eat you drive into this massive estate with these beautiful lakes and there are big houses around the lakes that cost a bomb and then there are apartments you can rent.

25:02You can zipline, bike, play tennis, play paddle. There's a gym, there's an indoor pool. There's a really, really lovely restaurant. It is honestly for two boys and your children. And it's just so good. Two hours. That's really good. and you can see if it's terrible weather there's still stuff to do totally totally totally we didn't have amazing weather but it didn't rain we were outside the whole time okay amazing and the gym and the ball so good oh good because Jonathan Kirk he always goes isn't he yeah they've got a house there but anyway I just really rated it if you want ours five weeks in London yeah so I need to break it up with a couple of nights and we just had two nights away three days but we tried to go to Jeremy Clarkson's pub oh you couldn't get in on the way home we might have tried to book obviously didn't occur to us drive there i'm not joking it's like trying to get into a car park a kind of holland bay or something in cornwall i mean thousands i have never seen oh my god any do you watch it the show yeah well my husband loves it with the children so it's it's lots of things i do with them that's his thing yeah but um otto was just so desperate to see Caleb.

26:17So desperate to see Caleb. I'm not sure he'll be there. But, lemon egg. Don't go unless you've booked is my advice.

26:30Our next segment is fashion finds. I'm renaming it. Fashion, beauty and latest finds. Yes. Recently, I either wear baggy jeans. So, as you know, I've got three Mazomar, Gela all different colours or I love the new a gold super comfy baggy jeans with tie tops so either a chanel crop top or the skim tops have them in every color that kind of look so baggy jeans tie top heels heels if i've got aperitif or podcast or dinner aperitif yes instead of drinks we need to level up we need to go for some aperitif yes because it doesn't exist in uk you need to even go to a pretty two after work that's so appropriate she's got aperitif or i love like nice floated dresses like the scheme dresses or either again if i'm a bit cold i like like crop uh cardigans like you've got your uniform and you love it i love that talking about beauty what is your ride or die I mean you look amazing and I have to say for somebody in your field you are just you know your best advert it's no secret that Nina and David are my favorite people in this field and I would be disloyal to the David I love David and I love the fact that David says you are the woman for endolift yeah he's like neen rhythm for endolift and you'll say the same about him and and i love that you get on so well but i literally you are the two i recommend yeah to everyone we're going to come on to aesthetics but like what's on your face your makeup looks banging what's what is the product you beat the door down for makeup wise so i love uh i'm a big fan of charlotte tilbury so I love Charlotte Tilbury and I've got the Nars I love actually I love your blush because I love blush so I really like the Nars orgasm tint the stick the stick okay I love the stick yeah and then I love individual lashes so I just get them done and maybe I just clean and then I think they give you such an amazing because I'm not a fan of LVL or lash lift I just get individual lashes and I think they look so good you do that don't you can we see these so they're the ones that don't require any glue you just put them on you stick them on the knees so you literally take the I've got them on today you literally with the tweezers take them off like that and you just Maya told me you put them under oh I've got three on each two sets and I reckon these will still be on tomorrow morning what so there's adhesive on it already yeah yeah they're really good they're called bonded bonded oh my god yeah because if I have all fake lashes it annoys me when like one starts going wonky and you're on holiday and you're like, oh, yours are great.

29:34I'm the same as you. I don't like, I did my extensions when I went last to Maldives for my 40th. But then I never find different. I don't know. It's like a rant. I'm like, oh, then it annoys me. I'd rather have nothing on. Yeah. Unless they're perfect. Yeah, it's really annoying. Anyway, those are great. Amazing. I highly recommend those. Lips. Pilot Talk from Charlotte Tilbury. And then I put the new, lip oil from charlotte tilbury as well it gives like this nice tin so it's great what's your vitamin c and night cream recco so vitamin c2 there i love the revision c corrective 30 percent uh medical grade so you need to get it through one of us uh medics or i also love the Skin with the Science Alto Serum again that's medical grade as well night cream I love again Skin with the Science Alpharet or the Medicaid Retinol is great as well yeah Medicaid's really good yeah I like Medicaid it's really good can we also just have a minute for your nails yeah because you get your nails done you always get asked this question yeah and I did copy you when I broke mine last summer so can you can you tell people watching what this is yeah honestly the amount of dm i get i know i know you do honestly i've got like so i have the air press extension with a blend of two colors i've got the bubble bath and funny bunny two layers of um bubble bath and one of funny bunny love the detail and you get them done in harvey nicole's harvey nicole's nailed it yes i actually wasn't wearing any nails for like two mums I'm like okay I'm gonna let my nail bleed and get better and my clients are like Nina are you all right you've given her she's having a terrible time I'm like I'm okay if Nina doesn't look good if Nina's not got her nails done it's all going to hell Hodge do you know I found these two which I fought with me show and tell we were away last weekend and Georgie was doing my makeup on the beach and she was like you need to get into sticks so I have any it's an on-the-go blush by Pixie but it's got a sort of shimmer on and you can just do it.

31:49So good. I've got that hanging one. And great. It's so small. Yeah. Easy to put in a beach bag. And then this is a bronze as well. I was out on Saturday and I dropped my new new Laguna brand new. Smash Derry. That is. So this is just all over my face. I feel my new Laguna arrive. Do you know what I got really into? David. Shout out for David. Yeah. You tried this? No, actually. So, blimming good. Pro-lipid recovery cream. I mean, empty as anything. What, day cream? Refillable. I've been using it at night. It's so nice. Oh, here we go. Milk. So, these sticks. Similar to yours. Yeah. I haven't got a brush.

32:37So, now I'm going to look like a... But anyway, they are so good. Is it rubbed in? Is it on the top? I need a brush, really. Anyway, I think Milk. Do you know what is really good as well? It's this. Have you heard about this? Cloud Glow. It's a primer. It's moussey. Yeah. And you put it on your skin. So good. And have you heard about this? Grip Gel Tint. So it's like instead of a foundation, but it really, really, really stays on. And it's kind of quite sheer, but coverage. Anyway, I absolutely. Oh, good, because I need a new one. Blimmin' love that. My other one is, I thought I could actually rival Charlotte in the amount of blushes that I've got, is this Rare Beauty.

33:20She's really good. You know what my daughter told me, always put it on the end of your nose. Yeah. That's what happens when you're a 14-year-old. They start to give you makeup tips. Yeah, my boyfriend's daughter, she's 14, and she's so good in nose contouring. It's good inside. Nobody taught us how to do it. I love a bit of it. Watch Sophie Abu. She's got a great... Yeah.

33:42final segment has got to be tweetments you know what should we be doing I love the fact that I can go to someone like you or to David this is not an ad and just trust you to say what should I have and be honest it's not about the cash it's about what you look good I met a guy the other day he was talking to me about this alternative Botox and it had a different name and I was like I didn't have time to do the research of names of fillers or not fillers or what the next I just want to come to someone like you and say a bit of polynutritized here a bit of phyllo here a bit of this bit of that what what's the like I know we do this loads but we do get asked these questions loads what are the best treatments I mean Botox is still great right exactly so I think for for me it's all about skin health having my skin in the best condition possible and prevention so to achieve that and basically the goal for me and my client is just looking the very best for your age so how to achieve that so well definitely very much Botox Botox works as prevention so I think now people start to understand that you You don't need to wait to have static lines, which means lines even when you don't move your face to get it done.

35:01It works before then. So normally age-wise, actually, it's late 20s, early 30s because you need tiny amounts of micro, micro units. And actually, if you have it done from the age, you will never have static lines ever. I know. I didn't start. I was like 36. But you look incredible and you don't have static lines. So everybody is different. but you have to catch the lines when before they become static and then so for the upper face very much Botox and then for the lower face I love a combination of polynucleotides and amino acids young guys for the under eyes for the face I love to alternate and combine profilo superhydro which is like profilo plus amino acids to polynucleotides so we can really mix and catch collagen activation through different pathways through these they're not fillers they are collagen boosters skin boosters where we don't give volume we just basically tell your skin okay skin cells called the fibroblasts keep getting keep producing collagen which otherwise if we don't work in terms of collagen banking so stimulating them to produce collagen we lose collagen one percent each year each year in our 30s and four percent in our 40s so we need to bank their collagen by keeping the fibroblast active through the these treatments so and lasers laser just to keep the skin super nice so lasers in terms of um i need some laser sunspots i've got quite a lot of sunspots after the summer exactly so like loutronically smd for super even skin tone and then lasers for skin tightening such as the underlifts such as the emilyft contour and phase so for me so it's about even skin tone skin and tighten and lifted so just in summary this is moving away from fillers yes in favor of what profilo polyneutrients exactly botox laser is that kind of what we're looking at with exactly thrown in exactly right you're exactly right and how often should you see someone the initial protocol is normally skin is always a course of three apart from botas which is one off if not it's all about maintenance so maintenance is one session every three six months so so would you say you see most of your clients every few months three three four months and you alternate profilo and polymixides exactly profilo super hydro amino acids polynucleotides we alternate those we do lasers normally in the winter autumn winter time um and then three four months So normally I combine every three, four months a bit of Botox, a bit of polynucleotides, profilo.

37:40That's it. And your lift. You did it to me. Yeah, I did. And it looks good. Well, I had this wibble here that hung down and that's what it got rid of. Even here looks so much better. And I feel like it's getting, because I had it done last November, I think. And I feel like I can still see that it's changing. How often should you have it? once every two years only one session i need to book in i need a week though yeah you said you need a week downtime we talked about that well i think three days it's fine you have to sleep in a high neck shirt we're like what's she done this time i know i definitely need it i definitely can we finish on i would say you know we wanted this trio to happen we love nina we're great friends and colleagues and feeling good living your best life in your 40s you've had a shed load to deal with what advice do you have for people at our age and stage of life who are not feeling their best what would you say to them be independent you know we touched that before just work on whatever I love being a mom I'm obsessed being a mom but my call what makes me truly a better mom is having found my identity what fulfills me my why so I think having something that fulfills you and I am so lucky that what gives me financial independence is what I truly love so I feel incredibly incredibly grateful but it could be it could be a job it could be something it could be I don't know whatever is that makes you happy and fulfilled I think you to have that and in order to be a better wife a better partner a better mom even if you sit with someone very rich I think for me having that freedom of choice come a choice come from financial independence I haven't did a talk at our children's school once and and he's like how do I start how do I start and I said ask them what money is and and I was like it's independence it's choice yes and yeah it is that hodge what would you say to women in their 40s i would say like they're living their best life at this point in time i would say you're midway through your life hopefully and you've got to be happy and you're not selfish and trying to be happy you're your own person and as you say if your children and husband to be happy you've got to be happy so find your happiness don't feel guilty you know whether that's it can be anything whether that's in friendships or in exercise or in reading or in a side hustle just find something that brings you joy yeah because there's a long time left ahead yeah and I always think like if you're not taking risks you're not living yeah you've just gotta do it do the thing that makes you scared because you'll never regret anything you've done but you'll regret what you haven't done I so agree I think just go for it it's not too late it's not too late I think life is just I'm much happier now beginning thanks girls thank you for fitting this in I know you're super busy you're amazing when can we come and see you we're going now that's it for today if you enjoyed that then do please rate, review, subscribe leave us a comment tell your friends to listen to and we will be back soon thanks very much bye bye before we go a big thank you to Portia for partnering with us on this episode.
