2:59Charlotte Collins:got to fly to Ibiza tonight I was having a coffee before and the guy serving me was like you've got a party tonight and I was like no just like didn't believe me that I didn't have a party tonight I just work somewhere fun just like work in a fun office I'm channeling Trini she wears I want to ask about staying cool in these I mean I feel like we're all pros at this now because it has been so hot here this week how are you looking after yourselves when it is a thousand degrees what are you doing to keep dewy keep glowy keep hydrated i mean drink water i was about to say i think it's just it's as simple as drinking like a shitload of water than you usually would but it's also hydration through your skincare and your body products and what you're putting in your face like anything with hyaluronic acid in it is amazing which actually these also have this is called the overnight radiance it's the blue one so when you wake up in the morning you're gonna look much glowier brighter so yeah i think i just really think about which skincare ingredients I'm choosing I find I'm having to

4:21Lu Hough:oh yeah that's that suitcase so many gems in that suitcase yeah it kind of folds under itself and it's like pleated and almost like a kind of concertina concertina exactly like fan and we saw a picture of how I'm wearing it in a really cool editorial yeah really cool editorial yeah good thank you so much

4:37Charlotte Collins:because that feels under the radar yes to me it's really cool I do want to talk a bit about how to not be basic with your summer wardrobe because I feel like that is it's about the that's what i tried to do today guys yeah i just like mix it up and just you know feel a bit more individual can i say i think this is really gen z dress over trousers and i was really loving it she's trying to blend with you guys it's because i knew it's actually really millennial because yeah which you stole although that was a bit more like low slung with a mini skirt yeah i would wear a skirt over trousers yeah i would never i wouldn't if unless it was see-through like this i like the ones that are like you know the little cami tops which have lace on them yes they're long but then if they just keep going a bit you've got the slips on the side yeah i don't think that counts that's quite a lucy williams look yeah i think of her wearing that with linen trousers yeah or like a monique look with the she posted something the other day and her daughter was also wearing like a dupe of it from like zara yeah baby version yeah okay let's talk about summer secret beauty hacks let's let's roll on from what we were just talking about secret skincare tricks for keeping the glow not being too sweaty i think a lot of people go for something dewy like a shimmery product or something but i feel like in the summer when you're quite sweaty it just really highlights the fact that you've got shimmer in it so instead of going for a makeup product i always go for skincare for the glow and then like really lightly go with concealer i feel like summer is when i don't have to wear full face of foundation i go for like really light skin tints and just concealer for where i need to conceal and then on top is where I then put the glow and I think that if you are going for liquid blush or liquid bronzer the like dewyness comes from that you don't have to put like a highlighter on top so I don't know if it's a hack but it's just how I've been doing my makeup so I'm not like overloading yeah product I like that what about you two curly hair gals what do you what do you do to beat the frizz oh it's really really hard like I wouldn't say I kind of honest I don't know if I beat it yeah I don't do you just embrace it yeah each curl is different every day yeah yeah it's the same yeah yeah that's really cute like some days i'm like wow my curls curled today yeah and then other days i'm like i could be in a bush yeah that's the hardest thing about

6:45Lu Hough:like not styling your hair is you just never know what you're gonna wake up with yeah or wash with what do you put in your hair i'm really really minimal like i literally like wash shampoo conditioner brush it when it's got the conditioner in when it's still wet and then brush it and then just like don't touch it like a little bit of like serum in the ends yeah but then don't brush

7:09Lu Hough:yeah it's like it's like hagrid meets hermione is it it goes really big it's wild yeah when people say to me like oh my god like i've got hair just like you but doesn't know that i'm like do you brush it what do you do how do you look after yours in winter it's always straight only in summer can I really get away with the curls because I just think it doesn't suit me I don't agree no I don't agree thank you so I wash my hair soaking wet I get a bit of hair mask in my fingers just run it through because I need the moisture to stay in the curls otherwise it will just dry like sort of like really wispy and yeah won't have a curl to it so that's what I do yeah also you can like twizzle like if I kind of wanted to exaggerate it so I would like when it's wet do this for those that can't see i've just twizzled one side of my hair and then that just kind of takes the shape of it and then it dries in that and then you can kind of loosen i don't think you need a complicated curly hair routine everyone's curls are different minimal minimal is best and just less touching i agree um can i tell you another skincare hack that i got from ruby a chef who is i think she turned 47 which is wow absolutely well i mean she has the best skin she looks incredible and i was like tell me your secrets and she said that she has she gets an ice cube and rolls it on her face every morning and then spritzes with rose water so that is what i've adopted so simple do you do it every morning but honestly like the the ice cube is just really refreshing and you kind of feel like you only do really good like face workout and you feel like everything in your face just like yeah it's like that it's also actually weirdly really good for your mental health which sounds weird but people say that if you're about to have a panic attack or if you're about to like if you feel really stressed put your face in like ice water it shocks your system particularly when I do it here that like really I don't know it just kind of like

8:58Charlotte Collins:sends a kind of reset down me it's really good what about how you switch up your beauty routine for summer I know we've it's been nice weather for quite a long time now but what are you what are the changes that you make to your morning nighttime routine Sam I feel like for me it's mainly with my body routine I think in winter I go in quite heavy layer wise I'll do like a really thick cream I'll add an oil to that cream and then maybe like a mist or something just because my skin really needs it but in the summer as much as it needs the hydration I don't want to feel like I've got loads and loads on me so doing like a lotion specifically these ones are really good because it's got everything in one you don't have to go in with lots of different products there's three different ones here so this one is really good for in the evening this is called the overnight radiance it's the blue one gold one which is the flawless tone is really good for dark spots I feel like that's really nice for in the day especially if you've got sort of like a lot of freckles and like sunspots things like that and then this one is really the pink one is dewy radiance so like it says it's really nice for adding that dew to your body and i think in the evenings like when you're about to go out and you want that like kind of glow on your chest and things it's really nice it's got all the skincare benefits like hyaluronic acid it's also got a special ingredient in it called gluten glow which is basically what makes your body look like incredibly glowy and really

10:22Charlotte Collins:I saw that's apparently on the news what they said that's the wrong thing to do having a cold shower why because it's like it's sort of like having an ice bath and going at oh a cold shower your nerves basically like shock your system oh and it wakes you up almost to be fair I don't have a cold shower I just need it

10:41Lu Hough:because I could just get so hot so yeah but then the kind of moisturising and then just laying on the top of my bed whilst everything like sinks in and also putting a flannel on your chest oh yeah nice because it smells like summer doesn't it it's proper summer it's all about fun plumping your skin making it look really glowy and radiant basically like a serum in a moisturiser yes it feels like a serum like a full bottle of serum has just been put into and it's also really thin I hate to use it and it's too like tacky exactly that's why I'm saying rather than layering all the different products you've got like one and it's really

11:19Lu Hough:going to italy next week for a couple of days for my husband's birthday and we're going to the lakes but not like come gada it's called lake otter which is really small and it looks so idyllic and peaceful and beautiful and it's like a tiny i wouldn't even call it a hotel because you kind to get these little like rooms around the lake um amazing i think there's three little restaurants it's quite like fine diningy it just it looks so beautiful this already sounds like a secret yeah it's called la darbia i'm i feel like you'll hear me talking about it a lot once i come back okay um but i'm really really excited is the baby coming with the baby is i sort of feel like maybe that was a bad choice okay it's giving not baby yeah it's giving like very idyllic yeah very peaceful and we read some reviews and it was like it was really beautiful didn't realize kids would be there um so hopefully she'll be well behaved but because it's Liz's birthday I feel like he wanted her there um and she's super excited to be going to Italy on holiday with her own suitcase so oh my god oh yes you got her a suitcase there's one in the office which I once told her I had in the office and every time I talk about going to office she's like mommy you're gonna bring my suitcase back is there something special about the suitcase no no it's just didn't she come in to pick up her suitcase it was a whole thing do you have one of these ones that you can wheel her on no like they're cool all the electric ones where you can just sit on it and you can drive it i've not seen that yeah i saw someone on savile row go down that is wrong yeah i hate that no not that not yet but yeah i'm i'm a huge italy fan i think if i could only go to one holiday destination for the rest of my life it would be italy but there are a lot of places that are quite done so i feel

13:22Lu Hough:And it used to be like little cute fishing villages. And yeah, it was very untouched and beautiful. And so I'm really pleased to have seen it before the masses.

13:31Charlotte Collins:They came. What took over. Sat, what are you doing? I'm actually off tomorrow to France. I'm flying into Nice, but we're driving. It's actually not that far from Nice, but it's, I've not heard it before. This is where I say it. Everyone's like, yeah, we've all been there. It's called Mugin, I think that's how you say it. and it's sort of um 20 30 minutes from can it's like this so it's like it's here can's here and antivis here so you can drive to the beach but it's kind of a bit more inland i'm staying somewhere called lemas candil again my french accent's really bad but it's a really pretty like boutique hotel i was looking sort of like didn't know where i wanted to go in europe but i was looking for hotels that i wanted to go to if that makes sense so it's a bit of a balance between a lovely hotel that we're going to stay at most of the time and then maybe drive to the beach i asked all my stories for under the radar beaches or places to go and there were some really nice ones that is

14:17Lu Hough:like a decision whether you want to just kind of like fly and flop somewhere and actually where you are doesn't really matter because you just wouldn't really leave the hotel and it's just about that space yeah or there are other places where you're like you know what we want to go out

14:29Charlotte Collins:and about like I feel like you prefer that yeah because I'm not really good I think I like flying and flopping out of season so we did that in January and it was like the best thing ever but like no I want to kind of feel like I've done something yeah I'm very in the middle like a bit of both so this is like the best of both worlds and then i've got another trip um in august which you guys are going to find hilarious we were talking about it i'm going to paris with the cat what with your cat it's happening you're so does it have a cat passport no she doesn't basically i still don't think you're right about this i am i've checked you can take them on the rest after under a certain weight ah so that's probably why give me

15:06basically i wanted to take her somewhere for ages because she's very well behaved she'll She's a bit like a dog, but she will just come with me. She'll be nice. She'll be carried. She'll be in a bag. She's chill.

15:15Lu Hough:Do you enjoy her company when you're in a bag? She's just a really well-tempered cat. This is the thing I keep seeing on TikTok. It's her first life, too. She's living life for the first time, too. She's got to have a good life. She can have a good life without going to pass. Also, she doesn't know. They don't chat. She's also already having the best day. I'm sure she's having a great chat for life. I'm going for a long weekend. She's coming for two nights. Have you checked the hotel? We'll have her. Yeah. is it just the two of you romantic girls weekend no Ryan's coming as well I thought you should do that I'll probably carry her because Paris is quite feral there's a lot of people a lot of dogs but she'll be in a bag and she'll be carried she'll walk a little bit you're getting so much attention for that you would think but the more I don't take her out that much in London but when I do people don't bat an eye anymore tell people how you take her out in London sometimes on a leash she's quite well behaved like she gets when it's really busy she's a bit like but I think she'll be fine in Paris.

16:10Also, every restaurant you go to is sort of like a nice outdoor setting. So she'll just be there. I think you need to get a dog

16:15Charlotte Collins:because you're basically trying to morph your cat. You're not respecting her actual identity. You're trying to... Guys, I promise she's going to have the best time. You're projecting. You are projecting, yeah. She's going to have a great time. So that's in August. Just a long weekend. Fascinating. I'm going to Paris in August too. Are you? You're turning into a crazy cat lady. Yeah, I don't think you want to hang out with her in Paris. No, that is more so I know where you're going to be.

16:43i'm going to crete on sunday nice i know we're staying in a hotel called deus cove which i think is quite well known but oh i i was looking at that last week yeah and i'm flipping and seriously flopping i want to be horizontal the entire time i don't really care to sort of tour around that much i want to just be there yeah baking and then occasionally dip my toes in and go back to baking You get so brown. If I was your skin colour, I would also fly and flop. I remember your stomach last summer and being like that subscene.

That was a girl's holiday. I went away for four days. You're allowed to find the sun with your mum. Yeah, exactly. I'm going to Albania.

17:28Charlotte Collins:That's a good under the radar gem. Why Albania? I've seen a lot of people slowly start to go there. And there's actually a festival on, not that I'm going to, but a lot of people have started going to it. Can't remember the name of it but it looks seriously fun. A music festival. Yeah. And it's just beautiful. Like slowly more and more people are talking about it. It's kind of like not overpopulated, really scenic mountains, blue water. Can't wait. It's what everyone says about Montenegro as well. This is so random. I want to do like a car tour. You know how everyone goes in the van? It's a lot that random.

18:28Lu Hough:and his dad went somewhere like that when they did I saw a girl on TikTok do that the other day and she couldn't it was just her alone and she couldn't talk to her tour guide and they've just like bonded without even being able to say anything.
