In short
The LuxeGen Podcast episode covers: Hailey Bieber’s “negative PR” playbook for Road pop-ups (turning viral queue complaints into an exciting experience with giveaways, food, and product lotteries); Jacob Elordi’s sudden personality exposure via a Romy Mars TikTok (camera-planted, “can’t let it down” vibe); and Disney’s early Jonas Brothers Christmas film (London-to-New York snowy plot, trailer hype). It also discusses brand/social media tactics (Mitchum deodorant backlash and comment deletion), Crocs phone-case collabs, and Abercrombie autumn denim styling.
Guests
Saroop and Poppy (gen Z hosts/guests from Sheer Luxe). Key claims/examples: PR failures can be redirected into engagement; Jacob’s personality is newly visible; queue frustration can be reframed as entertainment. Notable examples include Road pop-up burritos/lottery tickets, Mitchum infection/burning claims, and Crocs “sports mode” phone case.

1:01Saroop Sangha:This week on the LuxGen Group Chat, we talk about Hayley Bieber's genius negative PR strategy.
1:06Poppy Edmonds:If you're going to run a brand, you have to realise that at some point there will be failures, redirection. You have to use it for that.
1:12Saroop Sangha:How Jacob Elordi has finally exposed his personality. She just had no shame. She planted the camera there and he's thinking, I can't let it down now, it's recording. And finally, is it too early to be talking about Christmas? Disney are releasing a Christmas film with the Jonas Brothers. The brothers are performing in London and they've got to get back to New York that night, but like it's snowing. It's a film. It's not like a documentary. Oh, I love this. 14th of November. It's a good one. So stay tuned. Welcome back to the group chat, ladies. This week, I'm joined by Saroop and Poppy. Hi. Guys, this is a really fun combo.
1:42Saroop Sangha:I know, this is so fun.
1:43Poppy Edmonds:I have not been on the pod with you guys in so long. I think it's been months. I think we have loads of chat about it. We do. We've got so much.
1:49Saroop Sangha:And Poppy, this is your second pod. It is. Debut with me, can't wait. Question, can you guys listen to your own voice back? No. Absolutely not. Yeah, okay, good. I feel like it is a universal thing.
1:57Poppy Edmonds:Oh, never. or the worst thing is your social team you guys when you just randomly hear your voice from like three corridors down you're like it's horrible it's honestly horrific
2:07Saroop Sangha:it is I honestly could listen to all of you guys
2:09Poppy Edmonds:but listening to my own voice gives me a little bit and the fact that you don't sound like how you think you sound but to other people you sound exactly how you sound but to you you're like no way it's wild
2:18Saroop Sangha:well this week we are really excited because we have partnered with Abercrombie and Fitch and we are all rocking some serious Abercrombie denim and I feel like it's a good week for it like I'm ready to be back
2:27Poppy Edmonds:in my long denims I don't know
2:28Saroop Sangha:I'm clutching on but actually I feel like I'm accepting it this week yeah the transitional period
2:33Poppy Edmonds:is coming I've seen so much autumn outfit inspo that I'm like yeah you know what ready for a layer and a chunky scarf really oh mittens in a chokehold you do love it you love it oh I love winter oh I don't want to let go
2:45Saroop Sangha:I'm excited because I've never seen your autumn winter wardrobe I feel like you're going to bring us some new inspo yeah
2:50Poppy Edmonds:it's always good to have like fresh energy just you wait but even today you're looking very suave yeah probably run us
2:55Daisy Reed:through the look so I'm wearing the a high rise relax 90 jeans from Abercrombie and they're so comfy. And then I've got a jacket also from Abercrombie and a nice little, perfect for clubbing. Love that. Really good. It's a little black lacy number.
3:10Poppy Edmonds:But also with a satin trouser.
3:11Daisy Reed:I love that top, really nice. You've got the jeans and the nice top memo there. So I'm giving Biker Girl. Love it. The cuff though on your jeans is so cool. It's so nice and I really like this wash. It's such a nice blue because it's not too light, not too dark. And for those that are listening,
3:23Saroop Sangha:obviously can't see us, obviously head to YouTube if you want to actually see these amazing outfits. But yeah, Poppy's got like a blue light wash on.
3:30Daisy Reed:It's giving like 90s off-duty model, I think, with this straight leg. Hayley Biebs. Do you know what I mean? This is a bit of Hayley Biebs. Dirty dancing, baby. and like, because they're high-waisted, plain white tee. Love. Oh, I can see the vision. I can see the new looks. This is it.
3:42Poppy Edmonds:Run us through yours. So I am a big fan of a barrel leg, actually, and these are the barrel leg mid-rise in the darker navy. And again, I just think they're so fun. Like, if you get a bit bored of your autumn wardrobe, slap these on, changes your silhouette or something different even for like workwear if you get like a dress down Friday with like a nice shirt these are so easy and then I've paired it with one of Abercrombie's grey kind of baby tees but these are seamless
4:04Saroop Sangha:I've got one of those so good oh my god
4:06Poppy Edmonds:it is so good like you can't see the bra line or anything like it's so comfortable and then I've just gone for a really nice barn jacket of theirs and I love these contrasting collars they've got them in a few colours they've got like a nice checked one but it always gives me like dog walker vibes I love that like giving me wholesome vibes
4:19Saroop Sangha:you headed into store recently didn't you yeah
4:21Poppy Edmonds:oh my god there was so much good stuff for like autumn winter and workwear the black pleated trousers are so good from that and they've got a really nice suede jacket it's a bit of an investment but it's a suede blazer oh i would wear anything for abercrombie so good and days we've actually
4:34Saroop Sangha:got the same leg on haven't we we've got the barrel mid-rise yeah yours is just a slightly lighter wash yeah so i've got like a blue light wash on and honestly i'm one of those people so i for a while never wore jeans because i'm just quite self-conscious about my legs but actually when i discovered the barrel leg oh game changer yeah and i'm i'm so short and i really struggle with the length but I'm actually wearing the long I can't remember what waist I've got but it's the perfect fit I don't even need a belt with these jeans no they look great on you so yeah I've got that with again one of Abercrombie's basics just the black strappy tank and then I've got this autumn leather jacket on that is so in like a chocolatey brown colour
5:06Poppy Edmonds:I love that wash you guys have really got the leather down like it looks so flattering I think we've all gone for like a slightly boxier fit which is nice as well I feel like we all love that love the barrels I have yours I had yours throughout the summer and I wore them to death again with like tank tops t-shirts but I am going to try and find I think they've actually got it on site they've got some really nice denim shirts and I kind of want to find one that is the same colour so it's quite like double denim with again a nice like maybe more statement belt but I would also like one that contrasts I just think double denim is like a really easy when you don't know
5:35Saroop Sangha:what to wear that is my go-to formula for work last year
5:38Poppy Edmonds:how many people in the office turned up in double denim on multiple days I feel like I saw quite a lot did you honestly because it is but you look really like put together and you just don't have to think about it it's so convenient yeah it's great
5:50Saroop Sangha:and I guess we've all actually got some specs on to match our outfits today haven't we
5:54Poppy Edmonds:I promise they're all prescription are we all actually yeah you know I got hate I wear contacts these are blue light
5:59Daisy Reed:but I do wear contacts I got hate from a lot of people thinking that my glasses were fake really and I was like I actually can't see
6:06Poppy Edmonds:you're like excuse me
6:06Daisy Reed:they are real I would rather not wear them
6:09Saroop Sangha:I have those as well I keep them as like my home glasses but one day I'm going to come in and we're going to be probably we're going to be
6:15Daisy Reed:in butter yellow together wearing our glasses we are they really see you grumpy jeans would just look the same I'm going to do it
6:22Saroop Sangha:next week

6:26Saroop Sangha:amazing well let's move on to the hot list obviously we run down the latest in pop culture celeb news let's start with swag 2
6:33Poppy Edmonds:can we first talk about the fact that I didn't know you are like you are die hard Justin Bieber fan I'm a believer I didn't know this are you Poppy 100 % one of us but like I can kind of see that more for you like I can kind of see do you know what it came out of nowhere
6:48Saroop Sangha:for you i went to my world tour i honestly i am obsessed oh my god but actually guys it's actually a bit sad like i feel like i really love him like sorry sorry the way that you've just like lowered
6:59Poppy Edmonds:your time to be like let's get serious you felt that in the song when these albums dropped i
7:03Saroop Sangha:honestly had tears like i honestly had tears i feel like i get that because it's like you've seen him do childhood and stuff what you're not sure are you really i mean i don't i just feel
7:13Poppy Edmonds:like i don't love all that he does because it all feels like a little bit wishy-washy like i like it
7:18Saroop Sangha:but it's one of those albums where the more you listen to it the more it grows on you 100 the
7:23Daisy Reed:marketing even something as simple as the album cover color has changed everyone's perspective on bieber so when swag one came out or swag and it was all black everyone's like god he's gone off the rails he's a mess as soon as it's pink and about hayley everyone's like they're so perfect and i'm like so true they came out very close together yeah yeah well we just didn't we
7:43Saroop Sangha:didn't even know we got one album that was enough and he's dropped and here he goes again but have You listened to, yeah, Mother and You. Mother and You. Hayley must just be like, I'm winning. What is, what is, what is. Oh, it's such a good song.
7:54Daisy Reed:And my whole commute home, I did have it on replay yesterday. It's so good. What lyrics wise have we just like.
7:59Saroop Sangha:Better Man, Mother and You is all about Hayley. Speed Demon. Speed Demon's good. I really think next year is going to be a big tour. World tour. I really hope so.
8:06Daisy Reed:Well, I had tickets. So did I. To the last one. And me and my friend, it was Valentine's Day. We were Galentizing it up. It was. It was 14th of February. I had the same ones as you. No. and then when I found out
8:16Saroop Sangha:it was cancer I cried because I was like he's just never coming back and I remember the tickets like I saved up so I literally emptied my savings for those tickets and we didn't get refunded until like a whole year yeah it was a while after but I was still clinging on because it took a year to get a refund I was like yeah I was thinking
8:29Daisy Reed:it's rescheduled
8:30Saroop Sangha:but he was ill back then
8:31Daisy Reed:I feel like he's healed I agree and now you'll get extra songs like you'll get a copy how's he gonna fit it all in one set list I know we will be there I'll be there every single night I want to see Hayley watching I want to see the whole thing I want to be the one
8:44Poppy Edmonds:less lonely girl i i would be there just to see hayley's outfits i want to see what the stylist puts her in for all of it well you and him i love his style and you guys will watch him and i'll
8:52Saroop Sangha:just keep eyes on hayley yeah fine fine hayley bieber recently turned a pr nightmare into a pr success she did a pop-up for road and basically it went viral on socials because people were waiting in the queue for hours and people were hitting social media like this is a joke so she was like we need to swivel this so basically made the whole queue experience in itself so she did like lottery tickets for products she brought food down she brought burritos all of that then people were actually like excited to be in the queue yeah i love that see i think like if you're
9:23Poppy Edmonds:gonna run a brand you have to realize that at some point there will be failures redirection you have to use it for that she's done that quite a few times now they've done so well like she's flipped it got something new like not kind of let it have that air time and just like that's what
9:38Daisy Reed:you've got it's like that suitcase company base is it that yes yeah they did a similar thing a lot of people complaining that the luggage was dirty so she did like a pop-up of like a luggage car wash and they'd go yeah and you can like i think you could get your suitcase yeah and it was like really cute and fun in america and i was like swilled it yeah when brands play into that gotta
9:57Poppy Edmonds:be done i've gotta acknowledge what you've done and then just like move ahead it's the only way you can do it totally but like on the flip side have you seen mitchum oh some people in the office have been hit by the mitchum scandal also how quickly are we getting through deodorant these days i'm still on like the og ingredients i was like i'm all right i love mitchum so they must
10:16Saroop Sangha:just had a shocker yeah they've obviously like changed it so they've basically they've changed
10:20Poppy Edmonds:the formula and they've had like loads of backlash over the weekend on social media loads of girls have come out saying like one of them got an infection from it it's caused the burn i think yeah essentially it's caused like burning and stuff like that but instead of actually owning it mitchum have basically just started deleting comments on their own tiktoks one of the girls was explaining the scandal sure the account commented being like don't worry girl we've got
10:41Saroop Sangha:you i love it when the community managers jump on the comments like that it's so good it gives me
10:49Poppy Edmonds:such a respect for them i'm like that's good yeah i agree honestly you're doing god's work yeah i bet you when ryanair first kicked off they will have sold so many extra tickets because people like us like got a good social team yeah i even remember the first green screen with ryanair with
11:02Saroop Sangha:the eyes on the plane iconic i'd love to know what that social media manager where she's gone now Oh my God, all of them.
11:09Poppy Edmonds:I'd love to know where they all are.
11:10Saroop Sangha:Speaking of brands that are killing it, have you seen the latest, I mean, Crocs always collab with some pretty cool brands. They are, yes. They recently collabed with Barber. Must say I've got a pair myself. Of course you have, Crocs. But they've just collabed with a Korean tech wear brand and created a phone case. I've seen these. Have you seen these? It does look quite cool. I love. Do you like it? Would you buy it? I would. I probably would, yeah. I quite like that. You know how it's like the sports mode of the Crocs? Yes. They've got that on the phone so you can hold it. or whatever through it, yeah.
11:36Saroop Sangha:So how do you choose your gibbets? Oh, exactly. I think you can just order them like normal. Fun. Yeah, I like that.
11:41Poppy Edmonds:Do you not think that's quite bulky? Like, let's be real, because I'm thinking practicality. Road is bulky. But not that bloody bit. It's like putting a croc in your, like, imagine putting that in your front pocket. I am obsessed. I love it. Come on, with the London Snatchers. Oh, mate, they're going to be having a field day. They've got a handle now to grow. Yeah, I was going to say. They're going to be in sports mode. Nope. But do you know what it kind of reminds you of? Do you remember that trend where everybody was like going on their Euro summer and you'd have to bring an ugly phone case for your friends.
12:05Poppy Edmonds:Funny. You'd swap ugly phone cases. Guys, we have to do that in your face. Do you see the frying pan one? Funny! The frying pan. It was a whole frying pan and there's one with a foot coming out of the front. I love it. I love it. That's what the Croc reminds me of. Oh my God,
12:17Daisy Reed:but for social it'd be a nightmare if I was trying to film with a frying pan. You just got a massive foot coming out of your life. So good.
12:23Poppy Edmonds:I do love the Croc hype though. Like I think it's like fun to experiment. I think it's a fun one. You love it or you hate it.
12:28Daisy Reed:Yeah, and it's something everyone can get involved with, no matter the age. Like, everyone can have a crop. But it had such a revival, didn't it? Oh, my God.
12:34Poppy Edmonds:But also, it's not just like one of those where it's like, just for now. They're hopping on it. Like, they made it last so, so long now. Totally.
12:41Saroop Sangha:Well, I think they've actually just collabed with Hollister.
12:43Poppy Edmonds:I saw that. But did you see what it was?
12:45Saroop Sangha:They're like, fluffy.
12:46Poppy Edmonds:They're a bit like childish, but they're quite cute. I was thinking palm trees. They're actually great. Like, if you've got, like, nephews and nieces, like Christmas time, like the teenagers, will, like, love them. Do you know what?
12:57Saroop Sangha:There we go. Come on. I want to see these.
12:59Poppy Edmonds:They're cute. They've done really well. I think that's what you have to do, don't you? Like, if you want a revival, you need to not only revive it, you've got to keep it. You're like Javianas. Yeah. They have their revival. They have gone, yeah. They've kept it going. They've gone, like, from the round shape to, like, the square toe. When we went on holiday, I know Jay really wanted to pay. I bought them from Flannels. I bought Javianas from Flannels.
13:17Daisy Reed:Did you? Like, they've gone into every high-end retailer. They're nothing crazy.
13:21Poppy Edmonds:23 quid, though, as well. Yeah. I mean, I know the brown square toe that every girl wants have like still sold out everywhere. But like, again, you just have to like keep going. Now they've got like the metallics and stuff like that. They're everywhere.
13:31Saroop Sangha:And collabing with relevant brands. Like even Ducanti's collab with Pirello. I love that. I was like iconic. I want the t-shirt. So cool. So cool.
13:39Poppy Edmonds:Barba have also just done a collab with Farm Rio. Saw that. Again, how cool. Like it is that just like reimagining something, like putting it on its head, like just keeping, you're essentially morphing two audiences.
13:50Saroop Sangha:But if you've got the brand love for both brands, it's the most exciting thing, isn't it? Oh my God, 100%.
13:54Poppy Edmonds:Because you're like, what? Because in your head, you always think that brands are like competitors. Yeah.
13:58Saroop Sangha:So it's quite a wholesome thing, isn't it?
14:00Poppy Edmonds:To like see them like coming together.
14:02Saroop Sangha:Amazing. Okay, who saw Romy Mars do a TikTok with Jacob Elordi this week?
14:06Poppy Edmonds:Okay, so I'm not gonna lie, I did check it today to have a look at what it was. Wild. Wild. So casual, nonchalant.
14:12Saroop Sangha:Yeah, people are like, we've seen more of Jacob's personality in the last 24 hours than we have in the last five years. Ever. But I just love that he's like pouting,
14:19Poppy Edmonds:vibing it's like it makes me laugh though because it's not even like 26 million views it's like horrific lighting just like as you would with your friends in the balcony like you just throw
14:27Saroop Sangha:your phone there and he was obviously going out with olivia jade for so many years she was a proper blogger youtuber and like we never saw any of his personality and we've just seen it in like but that
14:36Poppy Edmonds:is also gen z we love like over analyzing like the man is basically just like moving his arms and we're like oh my god that means that his like favorite food is that like we love it i love a bit
14:46Daisy Reed:of that more of that yeah maybe because she just had no shame she planted the camera there and he's thinking i can't let it down now it's recording she must have woken up like oh yeah maybe we just
14:55Poppy Edmonds:track him down and we just shove a phone in front of him yeah i agree we might be broaching on this
14:58Saroop Sangha:subject a bit too early but have you seen disney are releasing a christmas film with the jonas
15:02Daisy Reed:brothers uh no i've not seen a clip of this very jonas christmas have you not watched the trailer no i've not seen the trailer i've just seen the um the artwork on the front yeah it's quite jokes
15:12Saroop Sangha:so basically the storyline is the brothers are performing in London and they've got to get back to New York that night but like it's snowy stop it it's a film it's not like a documentary oh I love this 14th of November screaming
15:22Poppy Edmonds:also I like that it starts
15:24Daisy Reed:in London yes that always makes me feel like who was your favourite Jonas brother
15:28Poppy Edmonds:Nick obviously
15:29Daisy Reed:really
15:30Poppy Edmonds:oh my god Nick is the only right answer
15:32Daisy Reed:I went through a phase so Joe is my right or die is he? now that you see him in London
15:37Poppy Edmonds:but Nick
15:39Daisy Reed:as he got a bit older he crept in he did but Kevin bless him
15:43Saroop Sangha:he didn't get as much of the love I know but do you know what
15:45Poppy Edmonds:if you remember bonus Jonas Frankie he used to date Miley Cyrus's sister Noah Cyrus you're lying yeah I remember what do you remember like those like girls code magazines and they would like report on random cringy stuff you've just unlocked a memory massive memory it was stuff like that that they would come out and you read about like did you know about the other Jonas and I was like yeah Kevin like no no the bonus Jonas that was him how do you feel about watching the Jonas Brothers act again
16:09Saroop Sangha:no guys the trailer will get you passed trailer really and they like make a joke about they're like Kevin no one actually heard you sing or something like they make a joke okay so they know
16:18Daisy Reed:so are they wearing like Christmas jumpers is it all a bit of a joke or is it serious it feels very Christmasy
16:21Saroop Sangha:no it's yeah I think it's fun it's for all ages is it like targeted
16:24Poppy Edmonds:like at us or like back when we were Disney I think it's probably for us you know okay oh but he
16:29Daisy Reed:just watching their tour clips I just they're delicious oh it's cat rock
16:35Poppy Edmonds:honestly
16:36Daisy Reed:I'm good at wasting time
16:38Saroop Sangha:I think lyrics need to ram in your nada We need to do the Disney Challenge together. When you guys did the Disney Channel Challenge on our TikTok.
16:46Poppy Edmonds:Oh God, so many. Oh God, you were good. You'd give me a good bunny. You knew all of them.
16:49Daisy Reed:Yeah, but I am a bit of a loser like that. No, but I get it. I loved Disney Channel. I loved Disney Channel. I had to beg my parents for it though.
16:55Poppy Edmonds:Do you remember the ending when it was like, squeak, bump, wah, wah. And it was like, da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da. Oh my God. Oh my God, that's one of my memories. Oh God, honestly.
17:05Daisy Reed:Did you ever watch Disney XD? Yes. With Pair of Kings.
17:08Poppy Edmonds:That's what, that was on, And Finny's and Ferb was on there for ages. Yeah, they got moved over there. Yeah, they did. They did.
17:13Saroop Sangha:Oh, guys, our childhood was actually incredible. It was lit. Wasn't it? That's a raven. That's a raven. I, Carly, although actually since I watched that Nickelodeon. Oh, yeah, that whole thing.
17:24Poppy Edmonds:Before that, though, Victorious, up there. That was honestly my version of The Summer I Turned Pretty because I would watch it just to see what would happen with Jade and the boy. I can't remember who's name that. Beck.
17:33Daisy Reed:Agreed.
17:34Saroop Sangha:Oh, my God. Who remembers Emma Roberts' Unfabulous? I didn't watch a song. I'm going to be honest, I don't. Oh my God, no, that was...
17:40Poppy Edmonds:If you could only watch one back, like forever now, what would you watch? Zoe 101, Hannah Montana. Mine was Hannah Montana and, oh God, can I say, when we were on holiday, we and Jay, we would watch this every evening, Lizzie McGuire.
17:51Daisy Reed:You would watch it. You're watching the Lizzie McGuire film. And the episodes are sick, yeah. How does that go, that song? What do you mean? Oh, this is a dream. He's made up. Hey now, hey now. This is a dream. Oh, God, no.
18:05Poppy Edmonds:Oh, she went for the Paolo one, love that.
18:07Saroop Sangha:So good. so good great childhood so so good just moving on have you guys seen instagram have just launched
18:13Daisy Reed:an app specifically for the ipad oh my god oh so you don't have that weird funny screen yes no way
18:19Saroop Sangha:so they're finally doing that so you can sit now and scroll insta on unreal do you know what else
18:25Poppy Edmonds:i saw that i didn't know was a thing nobody on my feed had had it until yesterday i didn't know you could pay to subscribe to certain stories what yes i've never seen this feature so you know like yeah so you know like close friends yeah you can get subscriber channels so you would pay to see people's story content like a p will people pay to see my like everyday tfl like fails imagine
18:43Daisy Reed:i saw a post but i don't know if it's real and it always scares me about how they at some point are looking to bring in the feature of being able to see who stalks your
18:51Saroop Sangha:account and i'm like if that ever comes in because do you not remember back in the old insta days please tell me you remember i was gonna say so on the notifications tab so it was at the bottom you'd hit notifications yeah poppy edmunds has liked yes yes yes the whole because that's how
19:05Poppy Edmonds:you knew if someone and someone was getting together that was when we were at school
19:07Daisy Reed:yeah because you would
19:08Poppy Edmonds:and you would swipe to the left
19:09Daisy Reed:and it'd be like Daisy Reed has just followed exactly oh my god we used to catch all the guys out and you'd be like yes because you'd be like
19:16Poppy Edmonds:oh my god they've definitely got a thing going on because if you saw that this person had followed and liked you'd be like oh my god that's basically second base
19:21Saroop Sangha:that was so sneaky oh my god it was wild top of your story surely they are like it's kind of real time though so but the people that are at the top of your story probably are the most engaged accounts I don't think that can be true because I looked at my
19:33Daisy Reed:oh maybe I never get celebrities though.
19:35Poppy Edmonds:Mine will always be like you guys. Exactly. Or like family, friends. It's never really like celebs.
19:40Daisy Reed:I feel like it is the accounts you most engage with. I don't know. What most engage with is in we interact. Yeah.
19:43Saroop Sangha:Not like I've looked at your Instagram moods. No, like you and I interact a lot. So therefore I will be nearer the top of that story. Okay, I get that. But then if you then come in and look at it, you'll bounce above. So like it is kind of real time, I think.
19:55Poppy Edmonds:Yeah, yeah, you are quite right actually.
19:57Saroop Sangha:Because you don't get to the end of the day and everyone's ranked. It does keep you... Yeah, no, no, no.
19:59Daisy Reed:Yeah, no, it is weird. And I'd love to be able to see it for myself, but I would hate for that to be revealed for me. I don't know.
20:06Poppy Edmonds:I just kind of think, you know what? Like, give us a bit of juice for our 20s. Why not?
20:10Saroop Sangha:Tell you what I do love is seeing people's reposts on TikTok.
20:12Poppy Edmonds:Oh, so good.
20:13Saroop Sangha:Because you just get their vibe. You understand their personality. Do you know what? My favourite is India.
20:18Daisy Reed:India. I was about to say shout out India. I'm so good. One of my friends from uni, he didn't realise when you repost your followers and people see it. So he'd be reposting loads of stuff. And I was like, that's not meant to be. yeah you should be reposting that he was like india's so good honestly india's a hilarious
20:35Poppy Edmonds:you'll be watching like a really like informative piece of information like maybe it's like a news catch-up and there's just like india and it's some guy on like a random night out in a club and just being like nobody knows but like i shaved for this or something like that and it's just
20:47Saroop Sangha:honestly the most so unhinged stuff i feel like a repost is when it's because like for me i i like
20:54Poppy Edmonds:stuff that i want to like go back to yeah okay and then my reposts are things that are just
20:59Saroop Sangha:way better than I like. So it's like, I find it's actually horrible. The world deserves to see that. This has made me crack.
21:05Daisy Reed:Yeah. Yeah. I still, I don't ever repost though. I do get a bit nervous because obviously people can see.
21:09Poppy Edmonds:Oh my God, I love it. I'm like, I hope this brings somebody joy. Yeah, same. Yeah, mine are always just hilarious.
21:12Daisy Reed:I'm that annoying friend that will send 30 a day to your friends. Because I won't repost, I will send to them. I love that. Then I just have a little scroll in the evening. So funny. I do get sometimes a bit overwhelmed though when I go on.
21:21Saroop Sangha:Yeah, you've got so many of you. Right, plug in. Also, if you have a friend that's like, you haven't quite got the same banter. So like the ones they're sending you, you know, aren't that funny. You know what I mean?
21:31Daisy Reed:Do you ever just see it? Reply without viewing it. No, you haven't seen it. You're just going like, you've not even watched it.
21:37Poppy Edmonds:Oh my God, no, that's worse. No, I'm horrible. That's not what's bad. I just type H-A-H-A-H-A, I've not watched it.
21:42Saroop Sangha:Or just deadpan howling.
21:44Poppy Edmonds:Yeah, something like that. Lol, this is so jokes. Like, oh, sometimes it's got to be done.
21:48Saroop Sangha:Have you guys seen the rumours that Central C is dating Ruby Lynn?
21:52Poppy Edmonds:apparently like didn't she used to be friends with i've seen that mads yes supposedly did you
21:57Saroop Sangha:see mads's recent video as well she was like calling someone out she was like oh no i just like karma i just hope karma is real because anyway don't know i did did you see it's like
22:06Poppy Edmonds:if karma is real then certain people will not be in us like you know what you are the thoughts of
22:10Saroop Sangha:my head she just articulates it so well yeah he has quite a time since yeah i was gonna say oh my
22:15Poppy Edmonds:god 100 yeah but i don't know i really wish for them to get back together but then also what he did was like really sneaky but like i did love them like that is one of the best things to come out of the uk surely in terms of like the you know this kind of like celeb scene yeah come on
22:29Saroop Sangha:i've noticed she's wearing a lot of his clothes at the moment really love doing that don't they
22:33Poppy Edmonds:yeah they do that's like their little um it's the soft launch it's like you know like in back in the day snapchat you would like snapchat that you were like oh his hand would be in it or something
22:40Saroop Sangha:or like back of the head yeah something like that is the equivalent of doing that

24:16Poppy Edmonds:purchase today should we move on to products we're loving tv we're loving what has everyone
24:26Daisy Reed:got this week product for me is the coco and eve fake tan the mousse it is incredible like and i am a fake tan try and test a gal okay love that and it's the only one that doesn't smell funny it doesn't crumble off like that tiger bread and i even even though people say about other ones that it doesn't do that they do yeah this one genuinely i can just put it on i sleep in it to let it properly marinate and it gives me the nicest color it looks natural olivey i just love it
24:54Poppy Edmonds:for a second i feel when you said like tiger ready i thought i was like oh like this is like a genuine term that you use realize the second layer you're all about tiger bread like the crust yeah when
25:03Daisy Reed:Your legs, what do you call this? It goes all down. That is honestly unreal. It smells great.
25:10Poppy Edmonds:Love that.
25:10Saroop Sangha:Good rec.
25:11Poppy Edmonds:Brilliant. So for me, do you know what? Within the South Asian community, we've got Diwali coming out. We've got lots of weddings. So I feel like outfits have been a necessary requirement for me recently. And I've been looking. I've got my brother's wedding coming up and stuff like that. And everything is so expensive. And obviously, when it comes to Indian weddings, the outfits are really glamorous. And you only really wear them once. So you also are spending a lot. and I was just like not in a position to spend loads and at the minute especially in London there are so many good rental sites coming up right and there is a company called The Borrowed and I went on there and I kid you not every piece is so well curated they do have a showroom actually so you can go in try stuff on the two girls that run it are amazing they'll like alter it for you and everything and that's cool the best thing is you know like in your head you're like oh my god I can't be arsed with rental because you have to return it you get just like a code with it you already get your printable label so you stick it in like a jiffy bag whatever send it off so it's done but I found so many good pieces so check that out online because if you've got like like I say the Vali's coming up if you've got like friends weddings anything oh my god so many good pieces amazing and what are your Vali plans so I've got a lot of actually coming up we've got a lot of brands happening Shia Lux is obviously doing something Bista Village is doing something we've got loads of activations but I'm also um I've got some stuff going on my family yeah what do you what do you get up to so I'm gonna go back home I think this year and actually because all our families are like quite integrated now I think we might just do like something a bit bigger like we might just go like for like a meal or something or might do something at home and just like invite a few friends around and do something but I think I might do something with a few brands which is really fun as well like because like being in London obviously everybody knows about it but I feel like a lot of people tiptoe around it and it's like oh no like I want you to feel invited to it like we're all friends so obviously you're we're all accepting each other's culture so it's just nice to invite people sometimes instead of them like not knowing if they can or can't so I I feel like, you know, making it like a real all-inclusive thing is nice.
26:56Poppy Edmonds:Love that. So that sort of thing. What have you been up to? What have you been loving?
26:59Saroop Sangha:Oh, I've got a TV rack, The Gathering on Netflix. Guys, it's the best thing I have watched in ages. Really? Six Eps. I watched them all Saturday afternoon. Really? Yeah. I love it when you can't, you just have to keep going. It's very like Pop Boy-esque, which is also my favourite show ever on Netflix. Based in Liverpool. There's a lot of storylines that intertwine, which is why it's so exciting. Because it's just like, oh my God, this is happening. Anyway, it's sort of based about this main girl gets into the Liverpool gymnastics team. but then, you know, struggles amongst all the rest of her peers.
27:26Saroop Sangha:And she just has a lot going on. Like her dad has just been charged, might end up in prison. But it is just incredible. Like the storyline is incredible. I can't really say too much because it will reveal. But if you just want something that's like really intense. I love that. I quite like nail biting. That's my favourite. Twists and turns. I love that. Yeah, it's so good. It really reminds me of Top Boy and just like the storyline Top Boy had. I love that sort of thing.
27:48Poppy Edmonds:Just like on the topic of series. Did you watch My Oxford Year? Oh my gosh. No, I've heard about this. I haven't finished it. oh my god so me and jay just put this film on like we always do this at like half a level we'll be like should we just put our film on for a little bit put it on for a bit yeah but we were this one was like suppy like american like quite cringy oh my god full plot twist and we were like see what's
28:07Daisy Reed:scaring me is i've started it and at first i did think it was a little bit slow yeah and then i've
28:11Poppy Edmonds:seen all these things about the plot twist oh my god no power through i'm not i'm gonna finish it tonight power through because it is something that a lot of people live through and i feel like it's something that is i think as we get older there are lots of different things that like unfortunately in life are true we go through grief we go through all of these things and i think sometimes it's just we kind of need to see that to understand what other people might be going through and it's it's i mean it's a fluffier version but it is nice to see so i actually would recommend it but just
28:38Saroop Sangha:like bear with some of the cringe okay like one day i felt like that was yes it's not as good
28:43Poppy Edmonds:it's nowhere near as good as one day though but it is on that kind of really and is it set in
28:46Saroop Sangha:oxford it is because i went to uni in oxford i don't know i love that i love stuff like that
28:51Poppy Edmonds:there you go but apparently people are saying that there are a lot of disparities there's a little bit of beef on twitter like yeah i think they've glamorized it too much this is what i've heard so i just do love a tearjerker same yeah oh it is massively i'm excited for celebrity traitors oh my god i'm that's coming soon i don't know we haven't got a list have we of who's gonna be on
29:07Daisy Reed:it that one came out i don't know if it's legit i don't know if it's confirmed who would your dream
29:11Poppy Edmonds:celebrity traitors like line up be? Alison Hammond. I was, you took the words
29:16Daisy Reed:out of my mouth. Honestly, she would be so good. Where is Alison and can she sit right here? I don't know if I'd rather her as a traitor or, oh my God, again, brilliant.
29:25Poppy Edmonds:I think you need someone, oh, Louis Theroux.
29:27Saroop Sangha:Yeah.
29:28Poppy Edmonds:I feel like just the intellect, you would need someone to kind of throw the balance off a little bit.
29:32Saroop Sangha:we're literally creating something. If you were like, what is this, ITV now? Yeah, producers. We'll give you a list. We've got some time, you know. I've always said, I think Sruti would be so good on the traitors. I'd be rubbish. A few people say that and I would love to. However,
29:43Poppy Edmonds:I was recently at a dinner with somebody who was on the traitors because it's like three, it's over like a month away from your phone and I just feel like I wouldn't even need it in that sense but I have my phone purely to like ground me sometimes.
29:55Saroop Sangha:So actually that's interesting because that really must heighten everything.
29:59Poppy Edmonds:So the person I spoke to, I knew that. She couldn't tell her family where she was going. What? You can't tell your, because it can't be leaked because you can't tell anyone because then the entire series is ruined. They do very well. like keeping it they must have to sign NDAs yeah they sign NDAs they don't actually sleep in the castle you do have your own room like it is quite a lot of like solitary time and I don't know how
30:18Daisy Reed:good I am I also think with that now knowing about the phones I think that must make it so much harder to like portray the peers that you make oh my god it's one-on-one face-to-face contact 24 7 and then you just gotta break their heart but like also how would you even if you're having
30:33Poppy Edmonds:surface level conversations surely you'd be like consciously thinking are you are you not like you can't switch off from that. The game becomes everything. Like you're playing for so much. I'd just be suss of everyone. Fuck it, maybe I will do it. I will pay. I'm going to put my cheese to manual leave in and I'm going to be on it. Please. I kind of would love to do it. It'd be so fun.
30:50Daisy Reed:Yeah. Have we got anything in our fashion wishlist? The jewellery company. I don't know if you've heard of it. It's Scandive. And it's really, really affordable. Oh, Saru. I've got the hand chain on. The hand chain on right now. And it is so gorgeous. I think it's really pretty. And they do so many cool pieces, but it's not too expensive, affordable. arrives really quickly and all the pieces are so unique they're really cool and I got a really cool necklace that's like a wrap around one with like this flower detailing it's really hard to describe but it's gold and you can also wear it as a belt unreal
31:15Poppy Edmonds:I have so there's a company called Buy Simran who do these really cool jump kit and loads of people always ask me where are they from mine are actually from India but this company like I said Buy Simran she's got a really cool one where a real fusion of like Indo-Western so you know the top bit but it's got kind of like how these hang she's got like three of these just hanging with balls on so it's a bit more like just wear it all the time and as a British Asian it is quite hard to identify little things like that are like really nice just to kind of incorporate but yeah love that
31:39Saroop Sangha:bit of a random one but M &S have just released their Christmas baubles and I love them I mean do you know what I need Colin
31:47Daisy Reed:yeah
31:47Saroop Sangha:I need him and the little salt and vinegar chips yeah and Percy so good they just get it right that's really good do you think
31:54Poppy Edmonds:I'm here for the food baubles is a bit soon no September well you know I'm here for it don't get me wrong it is getting earlier and earlier I must say but it's gone viral
32:02Saroop Sangha:so they know why not
32:04Poppy Edmonds:I think they've actually got some of their food out they have I get it they have we've been sending it to each other the treat bowl
32:09Saroop Sangha:you know their munch bowls oh yeah the one with all the pretzels
32:12Poppy Edmonds:and the other bits with the jelly bits oh wow
32:15Saroop Sangha:amazing well ladies thank you so much I've enjoyed this yeah well before you go please please hit that subscribe button please we will now sing you a song hit that subscribe button whatever you want us to do please thank you so much and see you next week. Bye.

Welcome back to the LuxeGen Group Chat! In this episode, Daisy Reed is joined by Saroop Sangha and Poppy Edmonds. First up, the three discuss the chaos surrounding Hailey Bieber’s pop-up and why her “bad PR” might have been a genius move. Then they move onto Jacob Elordi’s random personality soft-launch via a casual TikTok with Romy Mars. In the fashion chat, it’s all about their Abercrombie & Fitch denim faves – they break down how they’re styling them for autumn and why the brand is having such a moment. There’s also the news regarding the Jonas Brothers starring in a Christmas film (cue Disney Channel nostalgia), plus a stroll down memory lane as the team reveal their favourite childhood shows. They also get into some iconic brand moments – from the new Crocs launch to Mitchum’s rogue but effective PR strategies. To round things off, the LGs share what they’re loving right now: The Gathering on Netflix, the return of Celebrity Traitors and a few product recs you’ll want to add to your list…
