In short
How to look and smell more expensive for summer—body-care rituals, “silk skin” routines, holiday packing/beauty essentials, summer style, and confidence tips.
Guests
Jen and Lucia (co-hosts with Nana). Backgrounds: Lucia is a frequent traveler (e.g., Corsica trip with friends; hiking/boat days) and reads memoirs like “Strangers” by Belle Burton; Jen is a beauty/body-care-focused editor-type who plans anti-aging body routines and travels with tools like an LED mask.
Key claims
Body care is “having a moment” and is driven by skincare-like ingredients; moisturize constantly but use lighter textures in summer; apply oil/lotion to slightly damp skin to lock in moisture and avoid stickiness; use a “4 S’s” checklist for leaving the house (shininess, sweat, smell, skin).
Notable examples
Vaseline GlutaHya(t) Smooth Perfecta (hyaluron + gentle AHA/BHA/PHA for polished smoothness) and Vaseline Cocoa Butter oil; dry body brushing + legs-up-in-bed for circulation; packing tinted SPF/fake tan, hair oil, and mini skincare; style advice on sequins/silk skin and building a chic capsule wardrobe.

Today we are talking all things summer from the rituals and beauty habits that help us feel our best to holiday packing, epaulette style and the products we're genuinely loving right now. We're really excited to be partnering with Vaseline for this episode. So we're going to be talking about why body care is having such a moment, how we're all getting out of office ready this summer and the simple rituals that help us feel confident in our skin all season long.
0:42Nana:Let's get into it, ladies. I am going to start off, as we always do, with what we are wearing. I did not get the black pants and top memo. Perfectly so. Yeah. We're the backup dancers. to your show. Lucia, let's start with you. I am wearing a Rixo shirt and then my Lisette pants, which I love, and then my little Chanel ballet flats. Cute. I am wearing a Chanel top, which is flex. That sounds really flexy. I got it in a sample sale like 15 years ago, back in the day where they used to do sample sales that editors could go to. And the trousers are Marks and Spencers, so I'm keeping it real. And the shoes are ASOS.
1:26Nana:I have bought the colour always this dress this very silky dress may I add is from Rick So but I just love how many colours are in it obviously and then it comes with this silky neck kind of scarf that it is attached to the dress but I actually have it off at the moment I like it a bit off yeah I think that's nice and then red kitten heels from Zara and the best nails ever yeah and the toe the polish matches the turquoise on the dress i know i mean it's like i planned it guys so we are talking all things summer rituals and seasonal resets so i'd like to know from each of you what makes summer the perfect time to refresh and reset parts of your routine i think just because practically you have to right you can't physically yeah physically you have to you can't be putting as many layers on your body or your skin you can't be having a hot bath i don't know if you still are we still are really yeah hot yeah yeah okay but i take it back in my house fine so i pump that i do miss them i just can't face it in the evening i love summer routines because I always say I basically wake up with the sun yeah so in summer I get to wake up really early go into my garden just as obviously as long as the weather's like good and not raining like it was a month ago but go into my garden I can do my meditation there I can do my exercise routine whatever I want to do outside and I think that is such a lovely reset for summer I want to be you you're better than everyone yeah i'm almost the opposite i'm like taking advantage of the evening so my yeah my movement moves a bit more to the evenings last night i played tennis at nine yes i saw that yeah and it was actually so nice we had a really early supper which also i never do yeah um because i don't want to obviously go with a full stomach and then we got to the court night it was nice and cool and quiet and we had lots of energy i i have more energy for some midday almost anyway um yeah most people are i think but it takes me a long time to warm up get going yeah i write copy between my copywriting time is between like three and six so yeah my sort of some of my summer some of my activities move to the evenings yeah for getting your skin ready for summer what is the most important i just want to be constantly moisturized like i hate looking like I have dry, cracked skin.
4:04So I will be lathering it. Like I was saying the other day, I go through a bottle of lotion a week. That's so good. Is it good? Yeah, it's good. Yeah, because it means you're looking after yourself. I put so much on. And I really, because I feel like in summer, it's a bit like less is more approach because you're naturally a bit more radiant.
4:24Nana:Yeah. You've also got more skin out in summer. Yes. If I could walk into work in a bikini, I probably would because it's just really hot. deluxe baby i reckon you could like everyone's always saying to me put more clothes on because i'm like walking around with a hot water bottle because the air con is very aggressive in our office it's constant but i love having my skin out yeah i think just having skin out is the best thing and that's obviously what summer allows you to do and what you were saying about having going through like i don't go through a bottle a week i wouldn't say but from a very young age i I have been moisturized to like an inch of my life and all to feel my skin because I have the smoothest skin.
5:04Nana:It looks so smooth. I can tell. I think also it's about in the summer, like finding a texture that's right as well. Cause in the winter, I really love like a thick body butter and loads of rich creams on my face. And in the summer I like to go for lighter layers. So I love a lotion or an oil. So two of my favorites genuinely are the Vaseline Glutahio, the range, but they've got this new one, which is the smoothing one. it has hyaluron which is hydrating moisturizing it's going to lock in moisture and then it's got AHAs BHAs and PHAs which we all know do we are different types of skin acids so they're going to help exfoliate leave things really smooth but are super gentle so very safe to use on the skin safe to use in the morning you don't have to worry about sun exposure and things like that and it's just going to leave things like polished without a scrub basically so it's going to give that high shine polished look to the skin or they have this oil that they've had for years i think it's the cocoa yes i'm wearing it right now i use that yeah a lot it is amazing and you honestly it's all you need after the shower you put that on you're done head to toe and it smells so good it smells amazing yeah we were just saying that yeah i've got it on right now i know we're walking down here i was like who smells who's wearing the cocoa now i was trying to claim it but it was me yeah you just immediately took that i was like no it's me controversy i'll do both so i like a cream like a lotion first and then add on an oil on top you have like you are literally beyond you have more hours in the day than i swear to god like time moves slower for you because i always get asked as well what is your skincare kind of like body routine especially when i go away and out of offices on and i'm on holiday people are like you are glowing and it's mainly one i've got a tan but also because i really put a lot after yourself into what moisturizer what lotion so you pack that when you're going away with you yeah yeah how do you do it in carry on not in carry on because i'm doing carry on next week you can like decants you just get the little minis that might be me yeah to count into all of those i can't go on holiday and not have all of my skincare with me like face body everything we are talking holiday prep now and summer confidence lucia you are literally about to go on holiday i am on the precipice oh i am so excited tipping over oh where are you going euro summer to corsica oh chic i'm learning that it is quite I mean, because I did not know what.
7:38I've not been, but I think there are certain places that I just think, like Dea, chic. Yeah, okay, yeah. There are certain places that I just think, like, whereas, maybe Mykonos, not so chic. Not so chic. Fun, not chic.
7:50Nana:Yeah. I went to Hydra. Oh, that's chic, I think. Yeah, that's true. Not that I'm signing this off. The Mykonos locals are like, oh, sorry, Mykonos. Excuse me, we're coming for Jen. Athens was chic. Yeah, because history is chic. yeah so true yeah poseidon the greek gods yeah yeah poseidon was so cheap a chic holiday how long are you going for so i'm going for a week saturday to sunday yeah i've got eight of my friends coming from australia we've got a villa we're gonna go hiking boat days i'm gonna be on the kindle apperoling it will be everything in motion i am so excited yeah i can't wait for you because i haven't done a holiday like that where you go with mates for quite a long time like i always go with my family and like love my family but it's like way different vibes so what's on your kindle i am reading right now strangers by bell burden basically it just i'm so into and this is like a little bit dark but like the things that make couples divorce just in case it's good to I just watched The Invite with Olivia Wilde, which touches on this, and then Belle Burden, Strangers.
9:04It just talks about her relationship ending with her husband. It is so interesting. She's such a good writer. And I'm just like, those kind of books? Yeah, I need some more Rex. So I'm on that train, you know? So yeah. Maybe someone can drop in the comments.
9:23Nana:Would love. Like any other book. I also loved Cleopatra and Frankenstein. I feel like that's also. Love that book. Yeah. It's obviously not the same at all because this is a memoir, Strangers. But it has that vibe. The way that she tells the story carries the same tone, I would say. Messy relationships are always interesting to read about. And sometimes it, like, come out of nowhere. Yeah. I'm really interested that. I would love to be a psychologist in another life. Or in this life. Like, maybe I'll retrain. Yeah. My mum was a journalist And then retrained As a lawyer A family lawyer She's a family lawyer now You could do that Yeah Three times At 50 And so I'm like You've got time to get divorced You've got time to retrain No no no For the time and a while I feel like You must be going away again soon Yeah You literally must be Otherwise we all need to be Always thinks this But guys I'm really trying to enjoy My mortgage at the moment So I'm I don't think you are Dom I don't think you are You're lying to yourself You say that She says it all the time I think she just says it to say it Steph said to her the other day Oh I really need to go on a holiday And then Nana was like Oh my god same And I was like babe You are going on one next week I'm here for the month of July Well it's only the first today So I listen Time will tell I am here until the 27th of July Yeah like four whole weeks Unless something comes up Have you got any restaurants booked or anything so i don't i didn't realize so me stupidly just thought oh it's an island it everything will be 30 minutes away it's actually five hours like from the north to the south and we're staying in quite a local area so there really aren't many beach clubs like the nearest like the party area of corsica is like two hours away so it will be lots of um maybe like one big day i think so i think what we're going to do is boat days yeah and then there's obviously like a We'll go to restaurants there and then we're doing one night driving 45 minutes to this club.
11:26But there's enough of us for it to be fun.
11:29Nana:Yeah. Which is nice. And also you can cook as well if you're staying in a big villa. I always love that. Yes, totally. That gets messier sometimes than the club. And love. Last year when I went with friends to villa and ended up with the girls singing Les Mis around the pool at three in the morning. Like that's my idea. That's my kind of life. What song? What would you go to? I dreamed a dream. Which one is it? can you hear the people saying are you a drama kid no yes and no like i have no talent i was saying this to someone the other day i can't sing but i really can sing like i can sing yeah and i know all the words and i know all like the key changes and i know all the vibrato's but i can't do them this is a whole nother podcast within itself ladies let's bring it back to holiday rituals that you do pre-holiday jen some of yours i mean it's head to toe isn't it yeah especially for us women it's a lot of it's time consuming i call it the olympics it is appointment and it feels like once you've done one thing and you've got to the top you start again um but the skin prep starts early because it's not overnight and especially i'm 40 now and so i'm not just thinking like oh i just want lotion this is going to hydrate and then like disappear yeah i want products that are going to be anti-aging and smoothing and exfoliating and glow boosting and increasing cell turnover and things like that so that starts before the whole day right so it's it's starting now head to toe and you know just little things that i don't do normally like shaving my legs and
12:59that's the sound of zero sugar 200 milligrams of caffeine and the power to burn body fat storm energy for life storm energy blend helps boost metabolism which in combination with exercise and a healthy diet helps burn fat this product alone does not produce weight loss
13:12Nana:individual results may vary you're like oh i better give that a go now exactly my husband's like all right okay cool just so everyone else
13:24Nana:yeah you know the practical things yeah and what do we do to feel confident in summer as well i really love this question because i feel like a lot of girls or women i should say fall into the trap of being like oh i'm not beach body ready or yeah exactly and it's like actually you have a body and there's a beach so yeah there you go listen i'm not gonna lie like i will if i go on holiday i'm gonna hit the gym a little bit more before but my main thing my main thing to feel confident to feel comfortable yeah and that's in like what i wear and who i'm with and like the situations i put myself in mine's just having a great wardrobe a great holiday wardrobe A, mentor that.
14:07Nana:Curating a great holiday wardrobe and knowing when you're packing and also when you unpack, when you get there, you're like, I've got this. I love unpacking when I get somewhere. Yeah, same. I do it so much away. Okay, who are these psychopaths that don't do it? Leave it in a suitcase. Even if I'm staying somewhere for like one, two nights, I will unpack. Yeah. Yeah, I reject the notion that I would be living out of a suitcase. No, never. I find that a real red flag, actually. Yeah, it's messy. Henry does it. You know, my boyfriend moved over to London with carry on. No, he did not. Yeah. How?
14:40Did he just buy stuff? He didn't bring any clothes. He has like three t-shirts that he has on orientation. Capsule wardrobe. Has he bought stuff since he's been here? Not really. Does he have a wardrobe? How does he smell? Yeah, he's like, yeah, it's a real work in progress. And it's an uphill battle.
14:56Nana:Oh my gosh. So we said obviously about feeling confident. It's comfort for you. Having a great wardrobe for you. I would agree with that one. obviously we're not perfect and it's not ever about we're not chasing perfection what makes you feel comfortable showing off more skin when i leave the house in the summer right in the summer specifically we're talking about there's like the four s's okay trying to get this right shininess in the face like have i controlled that yeah sweat am i on top of that very important one smell yeah also kind of goes on time and then skin so it's like have i all all those things in order, then none of them are gonna be perfect necessarily.
15:36But like, have I ticked those boxes? So that's my little checklist for leaving the house. I'm learning so much. Yeah, the four S's. It's not, don't Google it. It's not the same.
15:47Nana:Also, I feel like a lot of people that take the tube in this heat wave should take note of those four S's. I think so. But I think also the skin thing, like people, you know, we're all really looking after our faces now. But I hear this actually from makeup artists and now they when they do models backstage their face will be much uh lighter than their body because they're really putting spf on their face they're really looking after it and their pigmentation on the face is reduced but then like from the neck downwards they're not really looking after it i worry about my chest yeah you should girl it's got to be everywhere so what do i do bring your skincare down and then also you know bring it i want to tan a little bit you can still tan whilst being protected can i yeah but then you've got to hydrate afterwards i think the thing with a tan is it is damaged right okay you've got a tan you've damaged your skin so you want to put hydration back in with products like the glute to higher range which have this antioxidant in them which is 10 times more powerful than vitamin c vitamin c as an antioxidant is going to help reduce pigmentation bring glow back to the skin so things like that head to toe how do you maintain that silk skin during the summer months oh well as i said i've got the razor out dust it off give it a little blow away the cobwebs exactly and then um it's it's not just chucking a moisturizer it's i mean it's you're good at this it's like in the shower prep yeah shower post shower scrubbing yeah all the all the skincare tools yeah start to finish i well i'm Obviously have showers, but I'd like love a bath.
17:25Nana:But yeah, I love a salt scrub exfoliator in the bath. But I moisturize as soon as I get out of the bath. So if I'm using the oil, for example, the Vaseline cocoa butter oil, that goes in when my skin's still kind of damp. And I think that really locks in. Really? Yeah, that really locks in the moisture. And then the shine as well. I thought it had to be after you've completely dried off. not with that for some reason it just works yeah so good slightly damp yeah yeah yeah fantastic i use the exfoliating mitts in the bath to like really yeah get rid of all of that like they're also good for your like micro circulation as well yeah so i use this it's called like an african scrub and it's basically like a netted that's the sort of long one isn't it yeah one um and i use that and that's just really good for getting everything off like you feel really again i love I love that feeling when you're still so clean and the moisturizer's like lathered and you like go to bed and you smell amazing.
18:29Nana:Yeah. I want that silk skin feeling at all times. Yeah, but do you know what I don't like is like the stickiness. So I think one thing is, well I'm very particular about the texture of my body products, because I don't want to have to then like do the John Wayne and walk around waiting for it to dry. So I like a lotion like the Vaseline Glutahyre one that like it sinks into the skin, but it leaves it super soft and feeling like silk skin, but not sticky, greasy. You feel like you can put your clothes on straight away. That's so annoying. Yeah, that's it when you have to walk around for ages. Like I said, I'm wearing this silk dress.
19:02Nana:I have used it this morning and straight away this can go on and you're not wasting any time. And we are all so time poor. It's like, you just need to get up and go essentially. You just don't want that transfer. I put it on this morning all over my chest and I could actually do it while my shirt because I wanted a bit of extra on my chest and it was fine, didn't transfer at all. Are there any products that you've discovered recently that have really supported the fact that we all want that silk skin feeling throughout the summer? Well, all year round, in fact. Well, body brushing, I think, if anyone doesn't do it already.
19:37A good dry body brush. You use it before your shower. So it's a weird thing that you do it. Switch the shower on and while it's warming up, you don't need long. Head to toe helps with lymphatic drainage. it helps circulation it can help with the appearance of so you like for example um but at the same time it will be buffing your skin and then the products you use afterwards like your lotion like your oil are gonna sink in better and leave a smoother silk skin surface do you notice a difference yeah definitely and also the feeling so i get really heavy legs in the summer um if it's a really hot day you know and i don't know if you have this but you feel like you're sort of carrying around blocks of concrete at night i will put my legs in the air for 10 minutes yeah in bed to help oh it's so good it feels so good just helps with the circulation helps drain it helps reset the nervous system and in the morning i will dry body brush and again that helps to get the lymph nodes moving circulation moving yeah i want to do a podcast with you it's like i am this is a wealth of knowledge that we are sleeping on i know literally stick your legs in the air 10 minutes i will be do it you could just be making stuff up and i will listen to you again yeah science run around three times and hop in the air exactly then you will feel great slap your left butt cheek 18 times i would do it at midday what are you doing jen told me
21:05Nana:exactly moving on from what you just said um i think what's so exciting about body care at the moment is that it's using a lot of the ingredients that we know from skincare so it does feel really familiar exactly i think now that we've educated ourselves and what our skin needs we can take that you know like i said downwards we we all of us together keeping with the holiday out of office theme i want to know about summer packing and summer beauty essentials we've kind of touched on it before i want to know what jen's are i want to know what jen yeah literally what am i taking i'm not taking foundation are you joking no don't bother it's just gonna slide off my face i can't be asked so i'm taking either a um a tinted spf okay i can i can deal with that yeah or like a glowy uh primer or like fake tan a facial fake tan and then just like conceal it where you need it because the foundation's just going to slip off i like the minimal layers of product for me uh and then what else am i taking i'm taking a hair oil my hair's going to get damaged and dry so that's coming with me i'm not going to be styling my hair as much in the summer so a hair oil is going to help are you bringing your hair dryer uh no because on a good day one out of a hundred times my hair dries like loose wow one out of a hundred times so i'm hoping like one of the days it'll look like loose and the others it will look like um anne hathaway in the princess diaries before she has the makeover that's what it looks like yeah that's where the hair oil goes in why don't you come in with loose hair because it's because it's such a risk you know one day i was like i'd been here like a month and we were in a big editorial meeting i had air dried my hair that day and charlotte was like sort of going through the calendar and wasn't really looking up and she's like oh jen someone needs to film a hair thing can you do that and i said oh i haven't done my hair today she looks up and she goes yeah not jen it was so bad it was like ratty and frizzy and like not like lose at all oh my gosh but on a good day it does it so yeah yeah you look amazing here it's like dry that's it looks absolutely He's done it.
23:22Nana:Thanks girls. For me, kind of obviously your makeup, like all of the minis are essential, but I, like I say, it really is body care. I can't go out and look dry at any point. So the oils become really important for me on holiday. I also take my LED mask when I travel now as well. I go for more than a week. I stopped using mine. Did you? it's just kind of like you know when you fall off the wagon of charging it yeah i'm so bad with actually with like i with electronic tools i'm really bad with being consistent with them because yeah if they run out of charge but you can't put moisturizer on before using it can you because it does not really yeah so then i'm kind of like when am i doing it just feel a bit yeah i'll do it like in the evening you know that time on holiday between like maybe you've had a bit of a boozy lunch and you've had a bit too much sun and you kind of go and lie inside for a bit with a book or something or like in the shade with a book or something that's when i'll put mine on i was saying when we were obviously as you said i was in athens like two weeks ago and i was with one of my girlfriends and we were saying that period between when you leave the pool and have to get ready for dinner why does it go so quickly like it disappears it literally disappears you think you've got loads of time and then all of a sudden it's like 9 p.m and you're still not out for dinner.
24:48Nana:And it's like, we left the pool at six. Like, what have we been doing? That's my favorite though. I do like it. I love that time. Especially if someone brings you a drink during the day. Exactly. You sit on the balcony, you have a drink and then one gets in the shower. Then you get in the shower. Yeah. And music on. Yeah. The music is like. So good. Picking out what you want to wear. Maybe a little nap. I always pack my speaker on holiday because you have to have those tunes when you're getting ready, which I think is just like a game changer. I'm going to do that. Yeah. I'm going to do that. Seriously do that because yeah, you can just have the music blasting and it just gets you so ready for the evening.
25:24Oh my God, I want to go on a holiday. Thank God we did this when I'm about to go on a holiday because otherwise it would have been, yeah. It would have been a bit different. Not till mid-August. I've got like little weekends in the UK, but not going on a holiday. Where are you going? Going to France for two weeks. But like, it's going to be quite, I'm going with my dog as well and my husband. But most importantly, my dog. Because he's getting old now and we don't want to leave him for too long. So he's coming with us. Yeah, and we're just driving around and going to like, we're going to all the wine places.
25:55But it won't be like, sadly, I really, I'm gagging for like a girls. Yeah. Because there'll be four girls, four boys on our trips. Yeah, this is just great.
26:06Nana:That's actually like the perfect scenario. She's still got like... They can pay for everything. I literally right now feel like the mother mean girls. That was you. That was you, why you enjoyed Ascot so much. You basically said to me, I loved Ascot. Last year I went with my girlfriends and we had to pay for everything, which put a bit of a damper on it. And then this year we went with our boyfriends. It was free. It was a free day. Weirdly, that's not how my life goes. I'm the wrong guy. He has got more clothes than your boyfriend. No, no. Well, I must say, when I go out with groups of boys and girls, like the boys I think traditionally will buy more rounds and stuff.
26:44Or they're more proactive about it. So actually they get lost in like who's the next one. I'm not offering. With the girls I will because it's the girls.
26:56Nana:Yeah, yeah, yeah. But with the boys I'm like. I tend to buy the round towards the end of the night when like I'm too drunk that I get too generous. And then I was out last weekend and I went and bought a round of eight margaritas at 150 quid. And I was like what? How much? 150 quid. It was 18 each. Like, this is London, right? And I was like, you know, at the time, I was like, yeah, I'm so fun. And then no one drank them because everyone was wasted already. And then the next day, I'm like, the guilt. We kind of did that at Harry Styles last week. We were at Harry Styles last weekend. Oh, yeah.
27:24But this was Emma's fault. You could get Prosecco for free.
27:29Nana:I was... Yeah, so we were in... You guys were VIP. We were in hospitality. But I don't like Prosecco. I mean, either. Controversial opinion. It's not controversial. It's chic. Okay. I've got the same chic approval. I prefer champagne. I prefer champagne. But if there is free Prosecco versus a 75-pound bottle of champagne, I will have the free Prosecco. Emma starts the night by going, oh, I'll buy a bottle. We can't be drinking Prosecco. I'm with Emma on this one. I don't want a headache. We agreed. Steph gets a glass of Prosecco, has a sip of it. She goes, this is terrible. I'll buy the next one.
28:07the next bottle of champagne buys it we put all the drinks down my prosecco is there and i was like i gave it to her being like oh here's your champagne because i wanted to see she was like oh my god this is so good i was like are you actually joking you freak that's the prosecco
28:23Nana:and she was like no it's not okay moving on to my favorite subject when it comes to summer summer style i am born to wear summer clothes and summer clothes only it's really inconvenient that winter even happens. But you just wear summer clothes in winter. Yeah. But summer's your time to shine. Summer's my time to shine. Like I say, I like having skin on show, guys. So you get to wear less clothes and show off your silk skin. You do a summer dress very well as well. I love a summer dress. Yeah. You've got a good selection. Very good. Well, because I'm from Australia, so it's all I wear. Yeah. What are your kind of favorite fabrics, colors, prints like what do you love when it comes to summer i love like a beautiful little cotton mini i think that's really chic silk like anything so i just feel like it flutters the body like that yeah so lovely yeah and then obviously colors yeah i'm trying to lean into me too i have been influencing lucia to wear more color she had like an amazing blue dress on the other I love that dress.
29:32I didn't think of you as a very uncolourful person, but maybe it's like muted, more muted tones. Yeah, I think I just gravitate towards like simpler color. Like neutrals. Yeah. Yeah. But I always admire color. Me too. And I'm really drawn to it. Sometimes I just don't know how to wear it. Yeah. Like the pairing. I'm the same. And I think that your approach is more is more. Yeah. And I really like that. because before if I had that blue dress on I'd be like oh I need a really neutral pump now yeah but I think that you could clash that and do like a cobalt blue with a red this summer say I do I am
30:11Nana:marrying a stranger like never before am I crazy it's a whole new married at first sight on peacock with new experts my name is Dr. Lisa my name is Paul Brunson more couples this could be the start of a very successful marriage and lord surprises or maybe not everything is just not enough you're a little bit crazy i don't know what's gonna happen i want my fairy tale ending married at first sight now streaming new episodes thursdays only on peacock yeah what are your favorite pieces to wear when it comes to summer style i do a lot of yeah like linen dresses quite simple and then i'll go maybe like ham on the accessories yeah so like i love one of my favorite things to do in terms of like creating memories as well it's like if I go to like France or Italy or places I'll buy like a little piece of jewelry yeah yeah like layer up or a little headscarf things like that so I tend to add color more with my accessories maybe than like the fit and it also means that you know if you're packing light and you have like a black linen dress for example you can wear it in like four different ways I actually am like that yeah as well yeah that's quite good for like a capsule holiday wardrobe yeah i think i'm a bit better at that yeah um in the summer it's easier to do as well because you can do it it's lightweight and you don't have to you can't do a capsule wardrobe but i'm also a short i like a lot long dress but i like a i like to get the legs out as well yeah so for me obviously day-to-day silk dresses shorts skirts anything but what i really love is when i go on holiday and i get to wear all of my sequin dresses the mini ones they are my favourite I like how you say when I go on holiday you wore a full on sequined skirt this week wear them to the office wear them to the office with your bikini but that's your motto no it is sequins are for like you should wear your good clothes you should wear your good clothes out of office doesn't exist for you out of offices every day so you're about to start listing off like you should wear your good clothes every day sequins are for the office no but I was about to say sequins are for all year round there's another one of my motto's I feel like a lot of people think sequins are just like a Christmas event season yeah type of kind of piece that you should have then but I'm like no wear them in summer and silk skin is the outfit silk skin is the outfit but exclusive I've actually had a little sneak peek at an upcoming collaboration that Vaseline are doing with one of my favorite resort wear brands can't say too much at the moment but tell us it's going to be incredible but what i really love is that it just shows how fashion and body care literally one in one yeah like hand in hand at the moment so keep your eyes peeled because this honestly it's a really exciting one it is going to be we need to have like a mean girl sing in the office where like one day a week everyone has to wear like everyone has to dress like Nana basically on Wednesdays we wear Nana oh my gosh that's such a good idea that would be an amazing piece of content guys I also think it would like I would feel so because I think sometimes with me wearing bright colours or like big patterns I don't necessarily want people to be looking at me but I feel like if everyone was doing it I so agree it needs to be like a national day everyone in London let's roll this out you know how there's that day where everyone cycles to london naked i don't want that anymore that that needs to go in the bin we need a day where we all dress like nana oh my gosh please i'd also love to know in the comments if that day did happen what you wear bright colors yeah bright colors sequins perfect kind of coming to the end guys but i want to know summer takeaways what is the one thing everyone could do this summer to feel more confident and ready for anything I think surrounding yourself with the right people that make you feel confident.
34:10And a killer playlist as well. Killer playlist, yeah. Think some good songs, some good people, and self-care. Yeah. Yeah, self-care.
34:23Nana:Without saying the obvious, like I know I keep going on and on about it, but skin is really important, and we show so much of it. I probably show more than others, almost. but having your skin on show during summer and feeling confident in your skin and how you look after your skin i think it's so yeah guys thank you for all the summer chat i could on or as always do this all day i feel like being out of office is my specialist subject as is smooth silk skin so this has been a really really great chat and lucia and i have learned a lot Jen so I know I can't wait for national energy as well thank you so so much for that guys I hope you've enjoyed the podcast thank you so so much for listening if you are looking to simplify your summer skin routine make sure that you check out Vaseline Glutahyat Smooth Perfecta it really has become a staple in all of our skincare routines hasn't it girls you can find out more about where to purchase in the show notes and as ever please make sure that you subscribe and share this podcast with anyone that you think would love it it really does help us out and we will see you next time
