0:35We're very excited. I mean, I've got a mic now. I'm very excited to be on a podcast for the first time. Brilliant. Angelina, tell us a bit more about your role. You're two weeks in. Yeah, about two weeks in now. Yeah. So right now I've been doing a lot of things on site. So if you see any articles, fashion articles on the LuxGen site, I'll let you go. And Poppy's thrilled because we've got another LG social videos now. I'm loving being in the social content, some outfit of the day, some cute little skits. Brilliant. Can we start with running through the outfits? Okay, yeah. Loving this week, Pops, you're in the spots.

1:05I'm in the polka dots, top is from Zara, jeans are from ASOS, and then my boots are also Zara. Love the boots. And I love your big chunky hoops today. Yeah, they're from ASOS. Love it. Angelina, what are you wearing? Yeah, today we've got these lovely jeans from Mango, good dark wash baggy jean, they're high waisted as well. this fantastic bomber jacket from and other stories it is probably my favorite outerwear piece i own like of all time now and then of course adidas sandbugs classic love you've kept those very box fresh yeah they are fresh aren't they i am i'm not great with cleaning my shoes sometimes but these ones i'm like okay you know what white trainers and that bomber looks like a good investment piece i feel like everyone needs a strong bomber in their wardrobe yes and i've been able to wear this i got it in christmas time and i've been able to wear it from then to spring and coming with just layering with hoodies and stuff underneath it.

1:54Amazing. And Days, what about you? I'm wearing a Fortham Reckless tech jacket. This has got a really high neck. I've got my trusty Zara pinstriped navy trousers on. And then my shoes, which I literally wear to death. I love them. I've got in a Dubai outlet mall for£60. And they're real JW Andersons. I really love them. I do love the chunkiness. It's a good steal of my lifetime, I feel. Indeed. But girls, I've got something new for the intro this week. Just so everyone can get to know you, Angelina. And Pops, we can get to know you even more. I feel like I know a lot of these questions of you because we sit next to each other in the office.

2:26I'll get to know them now. But we're going to start. We're just going to go quick fire. Yeah, let's do this. Angelina, what would your friend say your red flag is? Stroking my hair and it getting caught in everything. On a night out, beware of me. Because I dance and then I'll turn and my friend will be like, ow, and I'm like, I'm really sorry. It's just because I'm always touching my hair, doing something with my hair. Are you that person that's like, when you're concentrating in like flow state, you'll be touching your hair? Oh yes, I'm just like, okay, yeah, I know what I'm doing. And I'm like changing my hairstyle.

2:53Like I can never keep my hairstyle in one. It used to be a period of time. That's fun though. Pops, what would your friends say? Mine is like FaceTiming my friends, whether I'm on the loo, in the shower. Oh my gosh. If they're picking up a FaceTime. You'll be anywhere. You do not know where I am because I just love to, if I'm a bit bored, have a chat. Like hey. What do we think those boundaries are? Because I've done this before on the loo and then I sometimes just mute myself and flush the loo. Is that really gross? No, I will forblable do that. I'm so sorry. Even my parents find it weird, they'll be like, that isn't normal.

3:20Sometimes, now it sounds even weirder, but my friend might be showering, I'll be like, oh, you're showering, actually I probably should do the shower, and start showering as well. There are no boundaries there, are there? No boundaries with me and my friends FaceTime. Love it. Okay, something you're obsessed with right now. The Sienna Spyro's new song. So good, on repeat, The Visitor. Yeah. Obsessed, she's amazing. Her voice is so good, it just like transports you. I have it on repeat. Do you hyper fixate on songs? Yeah. Okay, yeah, same. So I could listen, if I like go on a run, which I don't do as much anymore, but I used to listen to one song for 10K.

3:51Oh, I do that. Which is like an hour. I do that for like doing uni assignments. I have to listen to the same song, but it really messes with my Spotify rap like badly. Like for some reason, Yosemite by Katama, top song Spotify rap 300 times. No way. And that was all probably from one day. Angelina, what is your comfort meal? Ooh, okay. What's your girl dinner? My comfort meal itself is ramen. I love a good soup and I absolutely love Japanese food or like a good katsu curry and I love making it as well. However, my kind of girl dinner is pasta, butter, black pepper and some cheese. And I call it, it's like, to me it's katsu pepe.

4:30It's probably not, but to me, I'm very sorry Italy right now. That is a girl dinner version. Yeah, no protein whatsoever. I love that. Butter. Mine's probably jacket potato and tuna. Yes. I just can't go wrong. Or if I'm feeling spicy, jack potato and coronation chicken. Oh, that is incredible. Cheese though, what about cheese? Yeah. I'm not really about that on the jacket. No cheese? I would do cheese if I was having a jack potato and chili. Okay. No beans, not a bean guy. So I'm not a big beans. So I have beans with a bit of Worcestershire sauce on a jack potato. I'm not a big jack potato person.

5:03Oh, I love them. And controversial opinion. I actually think Heinz are second when it comes to beans. Oh, what are your top? Branston. They're so much better. Really? Unpopular opinion. I can't stand them all. Poppy, go to fragrance. What are you wearing today? Well, I've had the same fragrance since I was 14, but I do chop and change it. I love that. The classic one I always wear is the Juicy Couture gold one. Is it? Still to this day. She's a juicy girl. I bought it when I was 14. That is loyal. And I've never changed it up. But I do have others that I love and I'll maybe wear for the odd day.

5:33but every morning when I leave the house, that gets sprayed. All right. I'm actually going to smell that. Right now, it is Vanilla Skin by Fleur. I got it recently and I'm obsessed with it. I want everything to smell like vanilla skin. And that's like a body mist as well, isn't it? Yeah, so I have the perfume one itself, but I really want body mist, the body oil. I just want to smell like vanilla skin. Love that. What is your most irrational dislike, either of you? Ketchup. Oh my God, same! Oh, you're not! But I'm weird about condiments, so like ketchup and mayo, do not even go near me. No, don't.

6:02What? No, I agree. I will run away. I can. Condiments, get out of my face. What, mayo? No, but I like specific ones. Ketchup and mayo are the ones that I hate. I'm good with like... Are you good with aioli? Yes. Because I'm good with garlic mayo, but not mayo. It has to have flavouring in it. Or like hot sauce is kind of the thing. So like when you look at my cupboard, the only condiments I own are hot sauce and soy sauce. Okay. Nothing else. I can do that. You could get through life with that though. Can you do sweet chilli? Sometimes. I can do sweet chilli. I can do the more see-throughy ones, but like ketchup, mustard, mayo, ew.

6:32It's a bit too much. But then I could have Dijon mustard or I could have garlic mayo. Okay, interesting. But no, ketchup and mayo, not it. I don't know the reason. If you mix ketchup and mayo, that's even better. No, no. I can't. But look at it. Brown sauce, what about, come on, brown sauce on a bacon bag. But what exactly is brown sauce? HP sauce. No, I'm wondering if I've actually had that. It's vinegary. Or barbecue either. What's your In My Element activity at the weekend? What are we going to find you guys doing? Shopping, let's be honest. That is so true, Poppy. I'm going to be real. that I am in my element.

7:02Like I am happy there. You are just happy tapping. Yeah, you're like, to do the apple paper out of you. I'm not so happy because I'm like, Or just at the pub with my friends. Yeah, love that. A good pub. To me, I've gotten really into like a good weekend gym sesh. Okay. I'm just like locked in. Like I do my little Pilates workout. So you're a Pilates girl Angelina? Yeah, I do love a good Pilates. I haven't found a good one like reformer class yet. Okay. But I do kind of just look up some YouTube videos and I sit in my gym in the corner. and I'm just like, this is great. Most used makeup product right now.

7:33Makeup by Mario Concealer. I've been using that quite a lot recently. Have you? It's quite nice. I like it. It's very creamy, but it blends out so smooth. I know it's basic, but every single Summer Fridays lip product ever. You took the words out of my mouth. Summer Fridays. Because I got the recent, I was telling you about this the other day, of the strawberry one and the birthday cake one. So good. And they've got new lip oils, which I didn't realize, which I've been using all day. It comes in like a pot, so it's not like a squeezy tube. And it's almost a bit tingly, But they're oil, but with a really nice color.

8:02Obsessed. Okay. They are the best thing to come out of 2025. Do you love summer Fridays? I never get disappointed. And I have eight in my bag. And I'm very hyperallergenic. And they're the only lip product that doesn't make me flare. Yeah, love it. Love it. Get out your phones. Last text you sent. Oh, God, I'm nervous. Texting my friend. Thank you, Queen. Miranda, the TV show, I know it all. I went to see her live. Oh my God. And I had the maraca attack. DVD, I had the Where's Miranda outfit. Stop. Oh goodness, okay. It's amazing, I need her to just do more series. Did you ever watch Miranda? No. It's a very niche humor.

9:08Very niche. It's very niche, come on give me a line. The thing is, I can't think of a phrase, I think of those little things like, when she's doing her job, she's just started a new job and she doesn't know the name of the company, so she goes, Longhurst Bailey. What? She doesn't know how to answer the question. Well she gets into the lift and she goes, Egg bread. Like, and she's just joking. It's the most quotable niche TV show. I need to watch this one. Yeah, it's brilliant. I think it's an expert topic, Angie. I think if I'm gonna do TV shows, Vanderpump Rules was. Okay. I've watched that twice now, or Glee.

9:40I've watched Glee six times actually, it's not finished. I'm obsessed, it's like a problem. How many years has it been going? No, Glee ended years ago. Oh, but we'll just keep going. Oh yes, I love that show. I watched it as a child. And then I was like, Poppy, you are such drama kid, Glee. Like I don't know how you, I don't know how I've seen it. Oh my God, you would've been, you would've had the CD. I don't even know what it's on anymore. It was on like channel four, I think. Okay, I must watch it. My mum used to watch it as a kid, and I was like watching it with her. And then as I got older, I'm like, I'm just going to keep re-watching it.

10:14We're going to move on to the hot list, where those listening who don't know, we go through the latest TV, pop culture, and trends. We've got a lot to get through today. So much. Shall we start with the new Gen Z pal that's taking over TikTok? Oh my gosh. I find this really funny. I'm not gonna lie, I kind of wish I could do it. Like, I don't look free. I can't. Wait, should we all try? Yeah, three, two, one. Wait, I can't remember, it's like the... It's like, you know that Ashton Earl? It goes down. Like the Ashton Earl face, she always has like a little... Anjali, you actually make it look good.

10:42You can do it. We look a bit like weird. I just like puff up my upper lip and like... But like guys, this has been such an evolution, right? Do you remember back in the day, the like pout with the CLP sign? Yeah, that was my pose. And then it moved... I still do that. Yeah, same. It moved to the pout, didn't it? Yeah, this sort of duck face one, it's now in. I'm partial to a pout, I'm not gonna lie. I love a pout. I love a pout, it's easy, it's safe, and the photo might turn out right. So I feel like I'm someone who's not big on my smile. Love it for when it's wholesome, but I can't smolder and look hot with my smile.

11:15My smile's giving like. That's like me, teeth. I just don't have a smoldery face, I realized. I can't do the fun Gen Z pout. I don't know, I never know what to do in photos. and also like with my mouth in photos, I find that's actually an underrated part people don't talk about. You know, you're posing for a photo. What do you do with your mouth? Yeah. Well now you do the new duck pout. Duck pout, come on. Yeah, so hang on, it's like upside down. Like look sad, but you're trying to look kind of sexy but not really, like it's like. Yeah, it's almost like looking miserable, but yeah. Hot. Hot and miserable.

11:49That's the vibe we're going into. Hot and miserable for 2020 soon. Well, it's broke the internet, so yeah. We'll see. if it actually has headway. Right. Zendaya recently crashed the wedding. I saw that. That was so cute. I love that. I'm obsessed. I think the promo that they've done for that film, the drama, has been so good. I'm excited. I just love it so much. When they did the newspaper article, now that she's going and crashing everyone's weddings. Yeah, so for context, it was a marketing stunt Zendaya did. She walked into a Vegas wedding and just crashed it, sat at the back. I think she did the vows.

12:19Yeah. She did the witness signing and it was like, they set up a chapel so people could get married as like a wedding chapel for the drama. So Alana Haim was DJing as well. So they just kind of show up and like. I feel like so cool. And then all the content, obviously all the guests were creating. It all went viral. Yeah, very, very clever. Yeah, I'm excited. Do we know when that's coming out? April, yeah. I want to get married just so Zendaya can come to my wedding. Like, let's go. And also it was kind of fun. It's all just timed very well. It's really good promo for her film. Kind of iconic, isn't it?

12:49Yeah. Did you guys see the AI wedding of Zendaya? 100%. And I was like, wait. and I'm like, no, okay, I've been tricked. Poppy and I have this running joke because both of us keep getting pumped by AI to the point where we'll send each other shit like, oh my God, how cool is that? And then Poppy's like, Daisy, it's AI. She sent me a whole Zara collection for the Hannah Montana reveal. And it was like, oh, you look great in this scarf. That's a nice top. I was like, they're not real, Daisy. But it was so good. I was so upset. It was so good. And the line, I'm not going to lie, Zara would have seen that TikTok.

13:17They would make it. It was really cool. Someone should act fast and hire whoever created that because it was good. AI's getting really good these days. always get a bit like, oh shoot. I am gutted we're never gonna see what she wore maybe. I know. Zendaya's wedding dress will be iconic. She's very private about that stuff. Yeah, kinda cool though. Supposedly nearly a third of Brits are ditching dates because they don't like what the other person's wearing. Yeah, 29 % of Brits are cutting date short because they don't like what the other person's wearing. Or like they won't go on a second one. And it's called like the swag gap and it's like when you, you know, their personality might be amazing, the vibe is amazing, everything's great but you just can't really get past what they're wearing.

13:53It's apparently a crisis in Britain. What are your thoughts on this? What are your thoughts on this? I think ultimately, as much as I wouldn't want to admit it, that is probably true to an extent. I think no matter how amazing or nice they were, especially maybe us, cause we are into our fashion. If he turned up in skinny jeans. But guys, coming from someone that's literally in a nine, 10 year relationship, those, you can change that over time. I feel like - I've been known to. Have you? I help them out. You've got the influence. I've worked on things. We don't, we don't, you know, we're not out here promoting changing people.

14:23No. It's just like little tweaks. Little tweaks, just occasional, like, oh, new present. This is a nice. Yeah, I think if you buy it for them as a present, a Christmas present, or, and you're not going out being like, we need you to have a new wardrobe. Yeah. A few little bits of bobs, and then they might, sometimes they need the confidence for someone to, you know, that's smart though. There is this funny thing, it's like, sometimes if I take my boyfriend shopping, it's like, no sudden movements, else you'll scare him. Oh, yes. So like, if I see him edging towards something, I'm like, don't make a deal, just keep it chill.

14:49The nice, cream-nate jumper. Yeah, he's like, no, puts it back. I'm like, it's like, you've gotta be very calm about it. There's a way to do it. 100%. And I guess it comes with time as well when your relationship, you start to like, okay, let's see how you're gonna style this one. Oh, this would be a good idea. And then they ruminate on it. And then the next day they'll be like, oh, I bought this. And you're like, oh, that's really nice. I do think though, like. I think if the basics are there, you know, turn into morals, humor. Yeah, it works. Everything's there, you're ticking those boxes. Fashion, you know, your outfits are the last thing that comes into it.

15:22Unless it's like really bad. But I think as first date, before you've got that attachment there, it's hindering people going on second dates. I do feel like, if it's a medium outfit, I'm not exactly gonna judge. Now I'm sounding horrible. But you know what I mean? It's like, if it was catastrophic. And also that might just show we're slightly different as well, because I do want a man who's gonna be into his clothes. Well that's a point about yourself. I do think one thing is you can tell a lot by the shoe someone wears. So I often don't really try not to judge the outfit, but I look at the shoe and I will go, I will look at the shoe and I will probably make an assumption of the shoe.

15:55Okay. I guess I think you can tell a lot. You're so right about that. Like first date, first impression. It's what they think would be like their best outfit as well. Like my friend says this all the time about like dating profiles, like if a guy has a bad picture, she's like, remember that's what he thought was his best photo. Yeah, true. Which is so true. But then I also think highly curated people, Oh, like a guy that puts an aesthetic dump together, I'm like, no. That to me is too much. You can't be too much. But what do you think the swag gap is for us? Like, if we, like, boys also have it back.

16:25I think it could be like the man repellent things. You know, like, the tabby shoes. Or like if we dressed up maybe too much. Or like you say, the guy repellent thing, tabby shoes, accurate. They'd look at our feet and go, no second date. But weird, like, that's fucking cool. Yeah. I guess it depends on like, also your like, industry vibe. Yeah. So a lot of my friends in like arts unis and stuff like that, it's like, yeah, they are in that realm where it's like you boyfriend with tabbies and everything that's fine that's quite normal it's very interesting statistic yeah it's quite interesting especially the fact that it's Britain I'm like god we're harsh critics over here crisis guys and 52 % find choosing what to wear more stressful than the actual date itself oh that's fair I think that's accurate yeah to be honest which again is really bad but you know you want to A pick a good outfit so you feel good in yourself to be confident in the date and also you do want to impress that's the whole reason you're going on the date Yeah, that's very fair.

17:14Stress. Stress. You can't have anything that would mess up a little bit. Like, because I'm off the shoulder tops and I'm so hard on dates. But they look great. Yeah, I know what you mean. And what's too much, what's too little? Where are you going? Even your earrings. Euphoria. Oh my gosh, okay. Do you watch Euphoria Poppy? Love it. Okay, I don't, which is I don't know how I've missed this boat because I need to go back, I know I love it. Right, fill me in. What is the Euphoria chat right now? It's been so long since the last season, but what's his name? Is it Labyrinth? Yeah, so the main guy who does the soundtrack and stuff like that, he has that, what's the All For Us song?

17:47He's like the soundtrack guy. Like the, oh, oh, oh, oh. Exactly that. He's recently crashed out of it on Instagram and was like, F Euphoria, F Columbia, F like, I think Sam Levins, just like. In what sense? What, with a video? He just posted, no, he just posted like a notes up screenshot of that. Interesting. And people are wondering, I think it's meant to come out, what, in April? Yeah. And obviously it was confirmed a bit ago, him and I think Hans Zimmer are doing the soundtrack. So like, what's happening? Stuff is going on. Something's happened. Also, I feel like even though, yeah, the date is set for April, it just feels like it's dragging on a bit.

18:18Like, Sydney Sweeney wasn't seen at any of the promo stuff. And she was quite a key. Yeah, and I think she's in it, but she's not at any of the promo. And is that a euphoria decision after maybe some bad press she's had? Or is that, yeah, it's already filmed and she's gonna be in it, but she doesn't wanna be as attached to it anymore. Yeah, I mean, there was a rumor, though, apparently, that some of the other cast are having, like, disagreements with her and stuff like that. So that could be, like, depending on who's big in the cast and has like those decisions. I mean, we never know, but like.

18:45Also now, you know, Eric Dane, now that he's passed away. It's like, it's almost just, you know. Did they say it's been in the last season? Yeah, it will be, I'm pretty sure. But it just almost feels like it needs to come out. We celebrate it, we watch it and we park it. You know, it's been quite a long time. It's been quite, I mean, when I think about it. Yeah, like the whole era of like euphoria, makeup and all of that. Like, I'm like, is that like 17? Yeah, it was like pre-lockdown, wasn't it? That was me before uni. Yeah, for a bit. And then I remember the second season I think came out, what, 2022?

19:16Yeah. So yeah, I remember making TikToks in my bedroom with the Euphoria sound and I had one of those sky lamp thingies and I put glitter on my face. But I also do think - Don't look at my TikTok, guys. It will be so cool to see now how much they've grown since being on it. Seeing Zendaya, Jacob Laudy, Cindy Swinney, all these people in one scene or one episode is gonna be nuts. Oh yeah, even Alexa Demi, because I don't know very much about what she's done after that last season. So maybe you can watch it once season three and you can binge it all. I think that's what I'm going to do. That's a good idea.

19:44It is quite heavy. But no, but the first season, I will say, it was so good when it came out. Also in the world of TV, Kylie Jenner's entering her acting era. Oh, wow. Yeah. Have you read this? Is this like after the moment? Because she was in that Charlie X's film, right? Yeah, so she featured in Charlie X's. Have you seen this film? I haven't seen it yet, no. No one's seen it yet. Apparently it's really bad reviews. I love Charlie X's so much. I love her too, but apparently everyone was like, it was the reviews were giving Dragon on Brat a bit too much or just like. But I think that's the whole thing of the film was like she's a pop star and it's like how the companies and stuff like that wanted to keep Dragon on Brat and she doesn't want to.

20:20Yeah, I just, that was it. Yeah, so Kylie though. Yeah, so Kylie apparently she appeared. Everyone said it was pretty good. Okay. And she's spoken in a recent pod saying that she's waiting for the right thing to come along. Really? Yeah, she's been having a bit of training. Taking after Timmy. Yeah. Taking after Kim as well. I think they're doing that. Oh my God, yeah, Kim. Yeah, but apparently I think they're saying that her performance in the moment was a lot better than Kim's. Really? I mean, I will say, All's Fair was not great. Okay, I didn't watch it. I watched it and it just feels like she's playing herself.
