0:29This week on the LuxGen Group Chat, we talk about the four phases of winter and how to truly prepare for next season. Mine's good hair care. Yes. After a dry summer, I'm really into... I now sleep in a silk bonnet. The coolest campaign that is getting university students talking. One match is one and you have to find it, or do they all match each other? They all match together, but you can only open the drink by having an interaction with someone else. So obviously forcing people to make an interaction, make a friend. And finally, we go through everything that's in our baskets this season and the TV we can't get enough of.
0:57The new monster, which is the follow-up of the Menendez brothers. It's a good one and don't forget to subscribe. Welcome back to the LuxGen group chat. I have got a mega combo today because I am joined by Poppy and Elle. Welcome ladies. Hello. How are we? Good. Yeah, fine. Finally got over a cold that lasted a week. I know, it's going around the office like wildfire. Okay, we're just running through our outfits because we are working with Dykeman in this episode and they have kitted us out with some gorgeous autumn shoes poppy kick us off yeah so i'm wearing these nice chunky platform maroon loafers with a nice gold buckle which i love because i'm a gold girl and what i quite like about these is they're suitable for the office but the style i can wear in my own time as well which i like and look for i love it you call it home time and normal time yeah do i home time and work time and then i've paired them with my baggy pinstripe brown suit trousers and my high neck leather bomber love it This is such a cool fit.
1:53Yeah, it looks great. Elle? I've got these really cute little kind of ballet pumps and I obviously wore them with socks because it's chilly. They've got a buckle, haven't they? Yeah, they've got like a little buckle with like, I'm a silver girly, so they've got kind of like gunmetal hardware. And then a little black skirt, big fluffy jumper. And then a brown headband because my hair's really greasy. I've got some pointed boots that have a really small sort of kitten heel and they are knee high. I'm actually loving a pointed heel boot at the moment. Make your legs look longer. It just elevates any outfit.
2:23Like I've just thrown on a knit. I've got a black and white striped knit for those listening that has an attachable scarf. I love that. So I can take it off. I can put it on. But Dykeman have honestly the coolest on trend styles. They have over 130 stores in the UK and you can shop online as well as brands. Yes, they actually do Adidas and Puma, don't they? Yeah. Wow, no way. Yeah. Don't forget to head in to upgrade your autumn winter shoes this season.
2:49moving on to celebs who saw selena and benny's wedding me but we haven't seen much no we've just seen a bit of a teaser haven't we yeah and there was paparazzi had like done an aerial flyover I mean honestly and they blocked it out very well they did but do you remember when they did that for hayley and hayley literally had to go walk with a box yeah yeah imagine the press seeing it before your actual husband oh I believe it but hopefully they wouldn't be on their phone in that gap so it'd be alright well yeah they're waiting for you and not just scrolling. Did you see on the Jimmy Fallon show where Steve Martin and Martin Short said that she was getting married to Bad Bunny?
3:23They said Bad Bunny instead of Benny. So she was like, it's Benny! I think she's such a sweetie pie. Yeah, she is. She's been on a real journey and I feel like now she looks so happy and healthy and he honestly worships the ground she brought. He seems like the loveliest bloke. Yeah, I really hope they excel and they stay together forever because he seems like really nice. I loved the dress though from what I could see. Yeah. It's like kind of like old Hollywood kind of vibe. And I love that mirror selfie they took. They just looked so like chilling and relaxing each other's company and no pressure on it which I think is very their vibe.
3:58I wonder if anyone will do an exclusive. I'm not sure. I feel like they're quite private. Or like what guests went. Like I want to know. Yeah. I feel like I saw so much of Charlie X at the ex's wedding. Yeah. I wish I like kind of No. We shouldn't see. I know. But I want to see like did the Disney cast go? What Disney friends went? Was Demi there? Your dream would be to be on Disney Channel, wouldn't it? Oh my God. And you're watching Disney Channel. Who has seen Nicholas Chavez for the Jacquemus night collab? Obviously, October 2024, we got Monsters on Netflix, which was an era in itself. Oh, I've not seen that.
4:33Oh, it's so good. Good for this time of year. Good for this time of year. Speaky season. Fine. October last year, it was, I mean, it consumed the whole month. The fashion in it is unreal. The TikTok. Yeah, it follows the Menendez brothers' case. I don't know if you've heard about them. Oh, yes, yes, yes. Maybe I did. And Nicholas was, I mean, he is gorgeous. Yeah, and he's cool in the pictures. Yeah, and he really immersed into his character. Apparently he watched the trial over and over and over again just to really get into the character. But yeah, this campaign is amazing. Yeah, it's steamy.
5:04Isn't it? It's very steamy. So these shoes, are these the kind of ones that you have to get there and be there for a drop? Or are they just online? I'm not too sure. I feel like they will be available soon, but that yeah, they're so nice. And I think they've like, they've picked the right person. Cause obviously the Menendez case was in the eighties. These are kind of got that retro preppy feel. So it almost kind of suits him. It works so well. Yeah, I think so. And they did tease it earlier in the summer because they did a tick to obviously, you know how good their TikToks are. And I just thought, Oh, they've just chosen him because I'm not sure.
5:33But obviously, yeah. And they basically did that shot where they zoom in on someone from real afar. and no they just zoom in and he just sort of smiled at the camera and it was iconic. Be still my beaten heart. Yeah. Oh my God he's so cute. He's only 25. Really? Yeah. They've done all these TikToks with behind the scenes as well. I love that when you see like a campaign and then you see the BTS of it. And all of the like behind the scenes sounds and direction. Yeah. Also it's a great way of like just going viral multiple times. Sorry. It's just come straight into my head because when you were saying behind the scenes I love like my favourite time of years behind the scenes of the Met Gala.
6:06Next month the British Museum are set to hold like a fundraising event very similar to the Met Gala and off the basis of that event. So I'm hoping that there's going to be some really cool celebs, good invites and maybe we can go outside. I think we should. Do you see what they're wearing? I saw that on ITV News. I feel like it could be good. It could be big. Yeah, it could be really good. And then I feel like that could be really cool if it got bigger and bigger every year like the Met Gala and it became like London's version. Talking of fun campaigns, I don't know if you saw, I think I sent to you guys the Coca-Cola campaign.
6:36Yes. So sweet. I really, really like that. Can you talk us through? Yeah, so basically what I believe is in America, with all the universities starting like freshers, there were these Coke lids that could only be opened if you opened someone else's as well. So it was like they were joined. They put a fridge in the middle of the campus and then if I went to go and get a Coke and so did Poppy, the only way we could open it is by twisting it. Us both unlocking it. I was a bit confused. Is it like one matches one and you have to find it or do they all match each other? but you can only open the drink by having an interaction with someone else so obviously forcing people to make an interaction make a friend i thought it was so genius isn't it really cute and also it's one of those things where that's where they i think do stuff like that really really well they tackled it at the right time of year for freshers and everything because it is that time of year do you remember was did everyone go to uni here yeah yeah like it is the most daunting week so scary your parents dropped you off i remember sitting on the bed like what do I do now oh my gosh I still remember some of my first interactions like do you do you like even some of them are like my best mates now and oh that's amazing that you did like most of my friends I met him did you the first week for me it took a couple of months to really find my people that was rare for me but I think because our halls was quite out the way yeah so we just like and I got really lucky with my group of people that we did just kind of gel and so what did you throw them with a no so there was a group chat of like a few reps that were repping for the club and I messaged one of the girls being like hey like I saw you're going into Berks I was at Exeter you know what are you doing right now and then she was like oh I'm downstairs like my friends are like in the dorm with me like you can come see me so I like I knock on the door and I go and then like now they're literally all my best mates to this day but like just the thought of me having to basically like pop up and reach out or literally they're walking past and you're gonna be like hey like where are you from yeah I think this is so important though now because i think it's so much harder i think when you're like you know flung into those environments everyone's looking to make friends but as you kind of get to your mid-20s and everyone's got jobs and stuff it's so much harder to make friends yes i still do the cringe oh like hi like i i like say if i meet someone i ask people out on like friend dates i love i love it and i said oh like i met this girl at a party the other weekend and we like chatted for ages and we really got along and i was like i this sounds really weird but i'd like to go for a coffee or like a drain cookie.
9:01You should because you actually like haven't, like even my mum says to me sometimes, she's like, you know, some of my greatest friends I didn't meet till my 30s. So like you haven't, I think people think, oh, I've got enough friends, I don't need any more. But like you're some of your greatest friendships, you might not have even made that. And also what's quite good about doing that is you knock out like not fake friends, but you'll knock out people that aren't asked to see you. So by doing that, if you get a, yeah, let's put a date in the diary. It's like, right, we're going to be mates. Otherwise, if you go through that airy fairy phase of, oh you bump into them a few different things you're trying to arrange it and they just fall through you don't want them anyway yeah exactly and especially when you meet someone and you like gel or you have a vibe they're quite rare moments I feel like you've got to like you say you've got to action that and be like actually we clicked yeah let's go for a coffee let's go get a drink and she thought the same she was like oh I really wanted to hang out with you again I'm so glad you met me I love that am I making my mission this year to be like try it reach out to what three people yeah we should by the end of this year by the end of the year yeah yeah Just make three new connections.
9:58Yeah, it's so sweet. It's a good little challenge. How I met one of my closest friends ever now. I met, similarly, I met her at a party maybe like four years ago. By the end of the night, we were like, we're going to be best friends. This is so weird. Now we go on holiday together and like festivals. And yeah. That's so nice. And that was through a friend date. Friend date. Friend date. Let's do it. Let's do it. I love that. I'm going to try. But any top tips for those like starting, I mean, Freshers is happening right now in the midst of it. like anyone listening now that's like finding it really difficult if you're really nervous and you don't know how to like start a conversation ask someone to do you a favor because it's like a really like low pressure thing so for example when I was like moving all my stuff in and he's I went to his wedding like a few years ago he's now he's like one of my best friends I was like would you mind like can you just help me carry this suitcase up and he was like yeah so then we were like chatting if you're like struggling on your own you're just isolating yourself further yeah it's like silly things like that and then like just joining random clubs and trying to yeah just trying to put yourself out things i wouldn't necessarily do either but yeah just putting yourself out there or compliment people like that's always a great conversation starter we've got a funny story she's now my best one of my greatest friends we're on the same course and she knew another guy on this course from must have been school or something but she very much attached herself to him and he was obviously desperate of her to like go and make friends I remember one night we're like in a club and he comes over and he goes meet my friend Bella we're in we're all on the same course but like you know I wanted to be friends with you anyway so he introduced us then we literally hit it off but like help your friends as well yeah you know someone my friend did this really good idea quite recently it was her maybe her last birthday for her party she was like bring someone I don't know love that I love so we all brought like random people who she'd not met so it was like all these kind of close group of friends who hang out all the time, but also these kind of peripheral friends.
11:55And it was so much fun. So fun. That's also another good way. We did a similar thing at uni that we did in third year that I wish we'd started doing sooner. And we called it Bites and Bubbles. And what it would be is, so we were a house of eight girls, but we all had different friendship groups as well. Nice. So what we did is we were like, we did one with boys, one with girls, and then one at the end of the year where we could have the two. And we basically all invited one person each that we see we like, but we don't get to properly chat to, speak to, hang out with. like they might be in a different group they might be on a different course so we all were just like let's just send these invites out you know some people knew each other a bit better some people didn't and then we just like let's see who turns up and all of the boys all of the girls said yes and then it ended up being like like not a little group but like we all became so much closer with these people and i was like we should have just embraced that energy more earlier on than saving it till third year when it's like oh now it's too late we're not gonna bite some bubbles again and we made it wig night which is really fun a wig night i must say a wig night is unbelievable i did one for my 21st it's just it honestly is the most hilarious thing because you just people just look so hilarious and it breaks all boundaries no one can be insecure because i've had this mega little pink bob like i did pink bob so good yeah wig night can't go wrong i really want to do the um the old lady one that really makes me die whenever i see people in the and they've got like Zimmer frames and they've got like fake bums and everything.
13:19You have to commit to themes like that. Otherwise it just doesn't. 100 % so good though. Tell you who made me laugh in the office, Pip. She told me that she did a party where she got everyone to come in their wedding dresses. Funny. How iconic is that? No, that's really good. So like they were just like in the kitchen in these massive wedding dresses. Superbowl 2026. There's been a lot of rumors about who is performing. Supposedly Taylor Swift and Adele declined. So I thought it was announced that it was Adele. Yeah, well, it might have been rumours, but supposedly she's declined. Who have we had over the years?
13:51We've had... Rihanna. J-Lo, Rihanna. We've had... Kendrick. Yeah. Kendrick was amazing. But it has been confirmed it's Bad Bunny. Wow. Yeah. That's a good choice. Do you reckon? Yeah. Have you seen the TikToks of his tour that he's doing at the moment? No. Oh, they're so good. Really? Yeah, yeah. He's amazing. And he's bringing all celebs on stage. Was he? And there's like Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruz. and it was yeah and they were all dancing yeah i really like him i think he's so good that should be fun when is that super bowl is next year so yeah i think he's a good time okay i feel like the weather has officially turned i read something on tiktok this amazing influencer called gabrielle coffee she said there are four phases of winter i wanted to run through you guys okay okay are we ready yes so between now and the second of november is daylight savings so this is where we can really start preparing so the nights haven't drawn in on us just yet but pumpkin spice lattes have come in haven't they and we can sort of be preparing because life is still doable right now you know it's we're leaving work it's still light yeah there's still a bit of sunshine exactly so it's sort of we've got to be you know what are you doing right now to sort of get ready is it supplements is it early nights mine's good hair care yes after a dry summer i'm really into i i now sleep in a silk bonnet i do too really so every night oh gosh i need to show you a picture okay talk us through your evening hair care routine so normally so i've had a shower or bath or sometimes if i have a bath first before i shower okay so i've like got my relax time and then i can actually do my right i need to sometimes you just get so hot hot and sweaty oh it's too much isn't it so then i go in and then at the moment so i'll do a shampoo come out k18 hair mask in and then Then what I'll do is, well, sometimes I've left a hair mask on before while I've done all of this.
15:42And then get out and do like my hair rolls, my pre-heat treatment, my, I've got this like new actually like the Kerastase Nutritive and Genesis hair care. So, so good. Put a lot of that in and then wash my hair, dry my hair. But I let my hair dry like 90 % dry. Okay. Naturally. Then I blow dry her to just finish her off. and then sleep in my silk bonnet with another bit of the nutritive hair serum in overnight. Obsessed. You are committed. I am. Because I had really, really bad straw dry hair. Okay, so you've been on a bit of a journey. I have. Okay, love that. Is it from the bleach as well? Because when I was blonde, my hair used to just like fry in the summer.
16:21So I literally just got quite a bit chopped off. I'm really working on it. By this time next year, I want it to be thick and blonde. Okay, well, we'll be documenting that. One thing you must add to that is the new Olaplex hair treatment mask. So they've got one, it supposedly lasts five washes. There's a thicker one and then one you can use more regularly. I really recommend. Okay. So going through the fourth phases of winter. So that's the first one, the one we're in right now, I would say the best one. Then daylight savings to winter solstice. And that is seven weeks between the 2nd of November to the 21st of December.
16:51And this is where we really need to start, you know, the supplements. They're going to bed every day at the right time because we're about to hit the peak, which is the 21st of December to the 8th of March the 11 weeks of the cold oh I thought we were going up till Christmas no just through to winter oh fine so that's the kicker that's when it's dark that's when it's cold that is miserable yeah I'm off to Cuba what? okay that's what Elle's doing me and my dad are going to go to Cuba to get there for Christmas I love that that's sick what are you going to get up to? I don't know we're just kind of going to bop around I think we're going to spend a few days in Havana and then go to the coast and just hang out over Christmas because we both hate Christmas.
17:31So we're going to just spend some. Where will you be on Christmas Day? Maybe the coast. I kind of want to be like sun lounger, pina colada. As you should. Book. Yeah. Amazing. My dad's big into the history and they have still got all the old vintage cars there. Wow. So they're all like huge, like 50s Mustangs and stuff. So cool. That's so cool. Amazing. We might have to do a TikTok on all your wrecks. Yeah. Or some winter sun. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. What were you doing, Poppy, be in that in those deep the deep dark depths of winter i'm gonna schedule a trip my birthday which is late march to properly celebrate the next stage whatever it may be into summer by then yeah but i think what will i be doing yeah not a lot to be honest i think i'm gonna power through yeah and i think it's important to schedule like dopamine kicks whether that's you know okay i'm gonna have a bath at this time when i get back from work or something that just gives you if you're gonna do if you're gonna get into your gymming workout whatever make sure you book on to the class I switch my runs around now when it starts getting colder I go in the morning rather than go in the evening because it's a nicer way to start the day and you get that kind of sunlight in the morning totally what about TV shows we did a TikTok on this didn't we the team's autumn shows that they're bringing back now the season's changed the thing is I'm one of those people that I don't necessarily change my TV based on the season no it's fully just like comfort show interest or educational and then if it's been really recommended and it's quite popular That's like the three reasons.
18:57Yeah. Especially in the office. I feel like if someone starts talking about a show, you just have to jump on it, don't you? Because of the chat in the office. Yes. You get left out. But the only seasonal thing I will jump on is Christmas films like that. Oh, really? As soon as Halloween is over, it's on repeat. And Strictly Season's now back. Oh my gosh. Who's watching? Me. Yes. But I'm going to be honest. I did dabble in the first week. But what really got me was Amber Davies coming in. She's had a massive week. announces Elle for the UK tour of Legally Blonde. brilliant. And then, because she posted a teaser on her TikTok being like, oh, I've got a big week coming up, whatever.
19:30And once the Elle was announced, everyone was like, oh, that was her announcement. And then, bang, she came on to Strictly as well. Strictly unreal. Her career has been so cool. I've seen her twice. Have you? I've really, so I'm into my musical theater. I was just going to say, we've got a proper drama. Yes, I'm a drama girl and I saw her at, she was in 9 to 5. Yes. And then, just recently literally like two or three weeks ago I saw her in The Great Catsby playing Jordan and she was yeah it was amazing she was amazing well she always was into it yeah and I think she used Love Island in the right way yeah she did to like propel her career in the direction that she wanted rather than going strictly down the influencer route totally and she seems really lovely she does seem very sweet doesn't she and George Clark big TikToker I adore I fancy him so much yeah he's cute he did it I don't know if you've been watching I love all the content they create on the TikTok with their partners and I feel like if they don't jump on that like that is so clever and he did this big snack British snack haul for his partner and like got like Space Raiders out all this stuff and in the end was like you're gonna need some gum after this it's just so good so cute yeah I think he'll go far is that your dream show?
20:36yeah but I also would love to go on Dancing on Ice yes it would petrify me that's almost a bit cooler actually isn't it I think it's petrifying but being able to just ice skate like it's nobody's business unreal because I don't think I can hack I'm a celeb oh I would love to do that you would be really good I'd love to do it. I would. I'd be out at the parachute jump. It's the food stuff though. That. I actually think I'd be weirdly okay with that. Do you? I feel like you two would both be very good. I feel like you'd go to just a headspace where you're like, it's fine, it's fine. It's just chocolate.
21:02Yeah, it's fine. Yeah, I think there's very few things that I wouldn't eat. Really? Oh God, no. I'd be absolutely fine. The one that I really want to do is come dine with me. I've always been really good at that as well. Classic. That would be so funny. We need to do an office come dine with me or something like that. Yeah, that would be funny. Have you been to any gigs lately or anything like that, Elle? I feel like you are up to date with the music scene. I am, but I've not. I tried and failed to get Olivia Dean tickets. As did everyone. She got one. Oh, you're joking. I did. When I say I got them, my friend got four for us.
21:32Was it in the middle of the working day as well? It was quite stressful. Yeah, it was really stressful. But they set their alarm. I think they got a pre-release when they were up for 7am. Did they buy, they pre-bought the album? Is that, oh, was that it? I think so, I think so. And tried and failed to get radio tickets. Didn't get those either. So it's not. Did you go to Oasis? No. Have you seen who's going to be headlining Coachella? Justin. Justin Bieber. I need to get to Coachella immediately. Please, Coachella x Luxgem will give you the best time of your life. Sabrina as well. Oh my God, Justin.
22:02But that might mean he's coming back. Yeah, he'll be coming back. You don't create two new albums. I feel like I always bring the chat back to Justin on this podcast. Guess who I did see though last week? Lewis Capaldi. I saw Coldplay and Lewis Capaldi in the same week. Wow. For me, that was like biggest bucket list. And I would honestly say Lewis was, like Coldplay was the most incredible experience. Like once in a lifetime, if everyone could go. Yeah. There was so much magic in the room. Like we were standing next to this, this like dad boogieing with his kids. Yeah, that's really sweet. You know, you had couples, you had friends, you had, yeah.
22:35But then Lewis was amazing. And this really sweet girl took a video of me and my best friend and we were like hugging and dancing and she airdropped it to us. Did he sing his new song? Sang his new song, Incredible. Wow. Something in the heavens. Yeah, that song repeat. It was just him. It was just him and his mic. And yeah, it was so special. He obviously spoke about how he'd been out of music for I think it was two, three years now. He hadn't performed. So it was quite emotional. And obviously if you've seen his documentary, you sort of understand the battle he's been through. But he is talent.
23:06Okay, moving on to things we're loving. I feel like there's a lot of TV at the moment. So what is everyone watching? I am watching, well, we'll be watching because it comes out on Wednesday, which is the new monster which is the the follow-up of the menendez brothers so there's ryan murphy and i can't remember the name of the other guy oh sure i need to watch the first one yeah you do so there's like there's like a whole series and they always come out like spooky season this one's on ed gein he's one of the most famous like serial killers in american history but he's what uh hitchcock based psychopath on and texas chainsaw massacre was like inspired by him so he is like the OG of serial killers.
23:44Anyway, the guy who's playing it is Charlie Hunnam. You know, the guy who was in Sons of Anarchy. Yes. Okay. Blonde guy, gorgeous. Yes. Okay. Yeah, so he's the - Why do they always play the serial killers as gorgeous guys? Oh, but you know, one of my friends did their diss on this. Really? Because it's so interesting and also like probably not very good that they're getting like Zac Efron and all these really good looking people to portray serial killers. But they've made him look not hot. Okay. Oh, fine. so like kind of like how charlie's theron played yeah eileen wernhouse oh yes and she they made her look you know completely different to like the absolute beautiful creature that she is they've made him look not hot is it it's a like it's three part series yeah it's like a limited series and it tells the whole story but it also kind of goes into psychoanalysts of why we're all obsessed with serial killers and it's just so interesting because i love true crime please tell me why i'm I know I'm the same I love it true crime yeah it's so weird I fall asleep to it which is really creepy I just find it so interesting but not even just true crime just crime and cop shows because it's so it's so horrific you know I saw an article recently that was like cosy murder TV shows and I'm like why do I find murders so cosy yeah yeah I would like to know what they're listing for that but whoever puts the word cosy and murder together like no but that's the inside of my brain that could be more of a wholesome cop show or something because I love those.
25:07I do as well. What was the one where it's set in the same village and it was like Midsummer Murders. Midsummer Murders? That's a cosy murder show. That is a cosy murder show. That is. Oh no, have any of you definitely not. Have any of you seen The Rookie? No, what's The Rookie? Oh, you have to watch it. Okay. This is like, it's actually really big on TikTok but everyone I speak to in America is. Everyone I speak to has never seen it and my brother introduced it to me and it is now my favourite TV show. Who's in it? Yeah. I don't know their names but give us a synopsis yeah okay so basically the rookie a rookie is like someone who's not quite become an official police officer they're going through their year of trial yeah and it all originates from this old man he like wants to reinvent his life he's like 40 years old right after like a divorce and moving house so he moves to LA to become a cop he's like you know new year new me and he's a really wholesome like dad figure and then he like meets the team and like they're all really nice and then it's like their journey from like there's like I'm on season like I don't even know what now like five is there even five but it's just it's a really good balance of like entertainment because each different episode is a new like murder or crime but then they are really wholesome and it is really funny and the characters does it always solve it at the end?
26:17not necessarily sometimes it goes on and like the season finale is all really good but it's just a really wholesome yet interesting show and the characters are so likeable okay I'm gonna add that to my list it's really really good that seems like something I would like if you don't like it no I trust you I trust you Have you seen Lethal Weapon? It's similar vibes to Lethal Weapon if you liked that. Yeah, yeah, I did. How funny. That's my vibe. Okay, love that. Cozy Managers. Yeah, Cozy Managers. It's a season of Cozy Managers. Yeah, it is. I am watching season two of Bad Boyfriends. Apparently it's amazing.
26:46Is it out, guys? It is. Did you ever watch season one? Yes, yes. I watched the first one. Yeah, so for those that are listening and don't know, basically the premise of the show is women convince their bad boyfriends that they're on a different TV show. And it's normally like a TV show about like - Nights out or something. Yeah, or like who's the biggest alpha or something like that. So they've convinced their boyfriends, or the boyfriends have probably convinced the girlfriends to go on this show. The girls are in on it, get them onto the show and they do the first like episode, they pretend it's this alpha male or whatever.
27:13And this one is, this season two is who's the best party starter in the UK or something like that. So these boys are like proper jack the lads, love a night out, go missing for like four days on a bender, whatever. Anyway, then Olivia brings in the girlfriends who were just like, you know, this is your last chance. You know, we don't work this out, you know, I'm walking away. But these, the behavior of some of these boys. Are they not? Awful, like they go on this first, they go on the first night out as underneath the other TV show. And it's basically how many people they can get into this club to show that their biggest party starter or whatever.
27:48One of them has his penis out, stripping on these girls. Another one is necking on with like two girls, fully snogging them. And then the girls watch this all back. They, yeah, it's his wild. How could you take someone back if they did that to you on national television? It is wild. And then they do all these quizzes about how well they know their partners and obviously they know nothing. And it's just like these girls, you're literally screaming at the TV like, you are 19 or you're 23, like leave him. I'm three episodes in. But yeah, it's one of those, it's just like good TV. That was my favorite thing to watch.
28:19Some of them from the first season, there was a couple like Carly and someone, they broke up and they've now recently just got back together. But I think he was all right. It's just, like, imagine the most toxic guy. What else is everyone watching at the moment? House of Guinness. That's it. Yes. I started this last night, fell asleep, so I'm going to try again. What's it about? So it's about the Guinness kind of dynasty. So I describe it as kind of like succession. Yeah. Crossed with Peaky Blinders. Peaky Blinders, yeah. It's kind of like these warring siblings and they're all fighting out. Steve McKnight is the guy who did Peaky Blinders.
28:55he's also did Taboo which was the Tom Hardy BBC drama um it's just really good and if you're like uh if you're interested in like that whole like Guinness and the history of it which I am like Guinness has had a bit of a moment yeah the last couple of years hasn't it it's like people are saying like the fact the amount of females now drinking Guinness yeah I think it was my first alcoholic drink really yeah but I've always really liked bitter flavors I feel like it's like I love coffee I feel like people who love coffee love Guinness yeah that's quite an acquired taste so interesting products beauty fashion you obviously touched on your hair routine what have you bought recently what are you loving so one thing is actually this ring basically this is good for the lead up coming up to christmas there's a company called like molly olivia london and they do jewelry that's like it feels very young but also could be worn by anyone and it's like that perfect price point of like it's a really nice gift and it's a really nice present you know it's going to be good quality it's not like 30 quid for a necklace but it's also not ludicrously expensive where you're like oh my god i can't even get any of this for like my friend my sister my mom whoever and so i got this gemstone ring from them and they've got a really nice like um based on your star sign like a really cool like kind of big chunky gold like pendant necklace that looks like kind of like a coin and i've that's got my christmas this so I really like them Molly Olivia London really good jewellery love really nice I've been living this brand called Alchemy London oh I love yeah they're so nice they've got like this like keyhole set have you seen I want it I want it the black yes it's in my basket it's in mine yeah I kind of want it in all the colours so cool and I like the long sleeve version and the short sleeve I just think it's really cute so sick I've been loving the Elemis collagen cleanser cleansing balm yeah cleansing balm the one that smells like a spa because I'd never used it before and then I got it the other day and I was like oh you know oh my skin had been I'd been having quite a few problems with it so I was like right at this point I'm just going to try what one is it the new cherry one no the plain okay yeah oh really yeah and I was like I'd heard lots of good things about that so I was like oh I'll give it a go and I absolutely love it I feel like it's cleared my skin up I don't know if it was 100 % that but that's all that's changed it's very good it's an OG it's been in our beauty awards multiple times But I've never tried it before.
31:17Well, it is, it's been quite an investment, but I feel like it does last. Yeah, it's also really good for the winter because if you use, like, I don't know about you, but in the winter my skin gets really dry. Yeah. And if I use, like, foams or, yeah, anything. Anything that strips too much. Yeah, stuff like that. But, like, a balm, because it's so, like, oily, it just feels really, like, nourishing. So I switch to, like, a cleansing balm rather than, like, a foam. And, yeah, it's just cleared up my skin. It smells amazing. Yeah, it's lovely. So that's part of my, like, mmm, evening routine. So that I love.
31:46Love that. I've gone back onto it. I haven't tried the Wonder Skin. You know, the lip stains that everyone talks about. I've never tried it. I've never tried it. I'm going to invest because my friends wear us by them. But, you know, boots have got that bit that when you're walking past and they've got all the, like, benefit. Oh, yeah. Lovely. And it's like you can't look because then you'll buy something. But I bought one of the posy tint, Benetint, whatever. Yes, yeah. And it's like a dusky, dusky rose colour. And I've been wearing it every day. I really like that. You got it on now. It looks very nice.

I've got some cotton ones from them, which are really, really nice. But I do like, I wear like nice pajamas around the house, but I will fall asleep in like t-shirt and pants. Yeah, but I think where I've been at uni, I haven't invested in nice pajamas, but now that I'm in like my evenings and I go to bed early now. You're a corporate galley. Then, they dive into how to emotionally and practically prep for winter and reveal how they’re getting through the darker months. In pop culture, they debrief Selena Gomez’s wedding, Amber Davies’ Strictly moment, and the Giacomo x Nicholas Chavez campaign that’s giving major 80s fashion energy. They also discuss the return of Strictly, the British Met Gala, Super Bowl 2026 predictions (hi, Bad Bunny), and why more girls are drinking Guinness. TV-wise, it's full cosy season mode and the girls share everything they’re bingeing as the nights draw in, while on the style and beauty front, they're loving everything from gemstone rings from Molly Olivia London, to luxe PJs from Chelsea Peers — and yes, they’re officially in their slipper era with Tekla’s ultra-chic options…
