3:25hodge you've got one that is quite exotic james's best man lives in the states and they got married last year and they had a european honeymoon and they invited us for the last weekend the kids were going back to school on the monday i was like we shouldn't go we shouldn't go but we did we love Mykonos and if you haven't been you must go to this restaurant called Spillia it is one of my it's in my top five lunch restaurants ever one of the best restaurants yeah it's like the most fun top tier fun yeah and it's really it's so unique because it's set in a cave you go to a beach and then you walk around this sort of planks and you're like where the hell am I because you can hear the music and but it's a big cave and then you walk around the side then you have to climb through this sort of hole and then suddenly you're in this incredible restaurant i had a really funny experience there so when we first went to go there um if you want to sit in the cave it's like what yeah like it because there's a floor yeah there's a higher tier yeah so when we want to sit on yeah this is actually hilarious i can't believe we did this so to sit in the cave we had to pay the person on the door 100 euros in cash wow to sit in there wow and then they came over and gave us the menu and on the menu a bottle of miraval rose which can we just say you can buy for 15 quid in waitrose when it's on offer they tried to charge us 400 euros and tom went is this for like a standard bottle and they were like is there or this is a magnum it's got to be a magnum at least like no it's a standard bottle and they were like and if you want to sit in first class you have to pay first class prices or you can sit at the top oh my god so we literally crossed our fingers put the credit card in and was like off we go and it was the most fun i think i've ever had my top tip would be always order the greek wine yeah always order the greek rosé and go for the second seat sitting yeah oh yeah we went for the 4 p.m sitting and yeah we got there and everybody was dancing but the screen was there were these it's very really vibey everyone's got my hair outfits on um there's always a big like there's like there's usually a hen or a stout like it's just all birthdays and great outfits and we were dancing and james loves to dance it was all quite tight and there's these two young sweet girls next to us sorry but opposite each other and there was these security guys behind us and And I didn't really think much of them.

5:58I just thought they were part of the restaurant. And anyway, James starts dancing on the table and he steps onto their table just because it was right next to it. Anyway, this guy comes over and says, get down now to James, get down now. And James is like, all right, no worries. So gets down. And then our friend who we were with went to the loo and he pulled, this guy pulled him and said, if your friend wants to live, tell him not to go onto that table. And they were basically like these little, like European princesses and they have their own security detail. Oh my God, that is so... If you want to live...

6:33Tell your friend not to go on their table again. If you want to make it out of this cave alive. Chill out. Can you just dance in your own dance space? He's like, wait until you see my moves, girls. Keep a lid on it. Then you'll want me there. Wow. I know. Don't go hungry. Order the Greek wine, but go for the vibes. It's like once in a life. You've got to do it. You've got to do it. It's so fun. You always have spielia, babe. Exactly. Exactly. Laura, babe, what are you loving? Mine could not be more different. Fantastic. Can't wait. 7:11Oh, yeah, I saw that. On Friday. One of the best exhibitions I've ever been to, top five. Isn't it unreal? It's so extraordinary. I didn't want it to end. It got to the end, and I was like, is that it? Because it's quite small, isn't it? It's quite, you can. Yeah, it's a lot in it, in a small space. yeah and it and it is a small space so it was crowded but oh my god i loved it so much so much like it's got everything from her casual wear her baby clothes her wedding dress her coronation dress and the history and like how involved she was in her wardrobe was so amazing i didn't what was the name of her dresser she had different ones yeah angela kelly was the last one she's doing a show she's doing a show she's doing a show a documentary series about it yeah just what of women yeah yeah that's what i also loved about it because when you go to the exhibition yes it's amazing to see all the dresses the wedding dress the coronation dress which is just extraordinary especially when the wedding dress was made on rations yes like which is mad saved all these ration coupons to make this incredible dress incredible that came at the end of the second world war and how it how lifted the nation lifted the nation it's just so extraordinary but the really amazing thing i found was all the sketches where she had handwritten on them like detailing when she was going to wear them like and also all the symbolism yes that was embroidered in I mean it was just amazing I loved it the colour like you could see kind of her processes through her life I just thought it was absolutely and it's been extended until April love that I tell you what I am loving the new Sense of Sensibility movie I didn't think I was really that ready for another Sense of Sensibility movie because I think the first one was perfect perfect like what more could you want than Kate Winslet at the height of her powers starting out.

8:55But honestly, Daisy Edgar-Jones is exceptional in it. But Esme Creed Mills, who plays her sister, is so incredible. The chemistry between Daisy Edgar-Jones and George McCain is... I could feel it. I could feel the chemistry from the trailer. Yeah, I haven't seen the trailer. You were raving about it. And he winks at her in the trailer. And it's hot. Come on. It's the simple things, babe, isn't it? and didn't like we just need to share this story with the group what did you do after seeing that trailer babe well Lou and I were watching it together and so we were talking about how hot the guy is and he winks at Daisy Edgar Jones in one scene and I love a wink so I messaged James and I was like babe you need to wink at me more and he was like okay and I love how he doesn't question my weird requests he's like got it and actually he was like with a tongue out or just an eye what like this please tongue in oh just the eye anyway the weekend he kept winking me and i was like it's too much you need to like tease me with a wink i'm not gonna know it's coming oh my god like babe do you want a stir-fry for dinner this poor man i mean this the things he goes through for you the demands and requests are off the charts he i think he's got the headspace from a fair i don't think he could deal with another one he's like he is stretched is that what you have to do babe wink don't wink too much less tongue in touch me don't touch me he's like it's so funny because i've had to wait this is such a niche story but i'm just gonna share it while you're singing the tongue out i learned to wink from a steps album cover so the first album cover it's like them with like serious faces and then the bottom ones are them pulling funny faces and i think it's even claire or faye does a wink and she does it like this so i basically learned because i can't wink with the other eye really no i can't no i can't it definitely looks like i'm definitely like trying to strain see what you're saying so it took me years to not be able to wink so i could just about do it now if i try to do it sexy down the camera go do it go visual to go look at this guys if you're listening i'm like oh yeah but it takes everything in my face not to go i thought you were gonna do it with it yeah with the mouth open but it's like it's just too expressive i'm just not a subtle flutter anyway you're what i'm not a subtle flutter i'm terrible at fluttering what no you're not you're so late i am not a good flutter no you're like me no rigid i would say i'm rigid with it i'm just all up front i'm like you're fit like that's what i met tom for instance i was just the first thing i said to was your fit and that was it i love that but there's no games then yeah yeah no and i think also when you're like a gay man you're so all out there anyway yeah like like when you're on dating apps it's actually like before you've even said hello you're probably sending a picture of like your torso or your bum or something like that it's like it's all out there yeah maybe that's why yeah i know it's weird that isn't it i mean i've never been on the apps touch wood if i finally like we're in james james that's your next request match with me on an app it's coming but i think i find all those that picture sending really petrifying need to just don't put your head in it that's the key thing if you're sexting the golden rule is do not put your face in it i didn't know that or any incriminating like furniture yeah like if you've got like a poster that could be you need to be like a plane background yes like no nothing that you can go back to your situation in which i would so i think happy birthday

12:46oh my god that is so anyway sorry back to sense and sensibility yes so everyone go watch sense and sensibility it's out on the 25th you're gonna love it and also i'm really in my jane austin era at the moment i became obsessed with the other bennett sister have you watched it oh my god guys this is the best tv show i've watched all year i love it so much so it's based on mary bennett the forgotten sister and she's kind of like the one who is a bit dowdy she wears glasses everyone everyone is really mean to her they're like oh you're never gonna get yourself a husband anyway she ends up with two of the fittest suitors you've ever seen in your life it is one of the best TV shows it's on BBC iPlayer oh okay and I think it came out in spring I think okay but I'm really late to the party I'm sure loads of people at home have watched it if you have please leave us a comment saying how much you loved it because I'm sure there's a huge fan base for that show out there and I know there is okay but I've been going for a really hard time recently and actually it's been so much it's really given me so much comfort and joy and that is what I want for my TV at the moment and she is just so good in it please watch it because it's sort of witty and so witty it's sort of nuanced I think sometimes like The Gentleman I love all of those shows but they're quite stressful to watch oh my god so stressful like there's apparently an episode with chainsaws in and The Gentleman I'm like in the room I'm out of the room I'm keeping busy I'm like it's too much whereas sometimes you just need like a hug in a TV show yeah and that's what that show is like so please watch it come back to me girls and tell me it's the first show oh my god there's another show that everyone needs to watch as well is it called War?

14:19it's no it's on it's actually very different to the other Bennett sister doesn't mean like I need comfort and joy this is borderline very stressful okay but have you heard of furious no oh I've watched it oh oh my god it is hang on I don't think I finished it though we've got one nap to go it is one of the best tv shows I've seen all year for anyone who hasn't watched it yet it follows this detective who joins um the FBI and there is a female serial killer on the loose and she goes in pursuit of her but the storylines every single supporting actor in it is incredible it's it's jaw-dropping yeah every episode you're hooked you want to see what happens next and it's on disney plus in uk but it's a hulu show it's good it's dark it's very dark so you can't comforting it's not comforting at all so maybe do the other bennett sister then the episode of furious other bennett sister depending on where you are in your cycle yeah it's actually not about depending where you are mentally yeah girls we're here for your mental I'm more Bennett sister yeah but then just dabble with furious in out yeah maybe do one a week okay yeah because it is so good yeah it's really good we need to finish it yeah because Jane's like we need to finish Gentleman I know because Snow Horses is out I know Sepertie Traitors Wall Dr.

16:40What have you bought recently, babes, that you've been loving, Laura? Okay, so my first is this little earring stack. I don't know if you can see. But I really wanted something a bit more delicate, and I like the idea of doubling up. Yeah, so that's two... They're two separate. Obviously, the real diamonds are the dream. And I spent a long time searching for these little ones, but I couldn't find them. But there's this boutique on Portobello Road called Rove London. And they have this really lovely jewellery brand called Lily Clasp, I think it's called. and it is affordable and not crazy prices.

17:15And yeah, so I bought two sets of these to double up and then I got this other little dingly dangly. Kind of added a bit of extra. Yeah, it looks cool. They're like nice everyday, pretty. Anyway, it's really, really good brand. So check that out. And then cashmere. Reformation have got the most insane. Got this really cool chunky neckline. Oh, I know. It's a really cool. Really deep. But like a knitted. Knitted. yeah it's really cool anyway it hasn't arrived yet it looks lush very sexy couldn't decide which color to go for i went gray okay cool the suspense there's a lot nice with the leather pencil yeah i mean a la hodge a la hodge or a dark denim and then a smaller brand i want shout out it's called the sleep edit they their pajamas are the softest material i don't know what they make them of but they're kind of skims-esque kind of stretchy soft and i've got them in a short kind of cream white set and then i've got a long gray and they are just making cooler evenings that bit more exciting yeah i love them i love getting home and putting pajamas on you're getting in watching the other benefits you're stunning pjs lighting candles i mean i'm here for it cozy cashmere let's go yeah face she's in her crazy season yeah i know end of summer i always dread it and then it comes and i'm like oh you're not oh i'm ready to be cold i'm sorry i've said it out loud i need to change it i'm so bored of summer this bit is hard though yeah oh because it's humid at the moment yeah yeah so hodge what's on the shopping list this week i'm really loving good basics at the moment i've discovered this brown i'm gonna say it wrong but it's it's floor floor it's f-l-o-r-e f-l-o-r-e okay i've never heard of it amazing basics but i'm i'm always on the search for a good deep v white thick long sleeve long sleeve t-shirt oh share and i found it so and it's from this brown floor floor it's got such good basics all different types of like the v-necks long sleeve halternecks um tanks it is so good but it is not cheap it's about 120 you gotta treat that t-shirt well this is like a proper staple that i'll wear you got to be wearing out of a bib yeah don't catch me kids how are you washing that on its own on its own in a little bag I'm going to dry it in a bag.

19:42Yeah. Got it. And like blowing it kisses. Wearing it and crossing your fingers and you're going to throw your lunch down. No, I couldn't wear it with fake tan. Okay. Well, it's a good job. It's an occasion top. It's the season, babe. Yeah, but it's so good. Great. Pulls everything in. It's thick. And then also M &S. God, loving it. Oh, I'm obsessed. And it's their first ever London Fashion Week show. I'm so excited. This Friday, which is going to be live streamed. So you can actually watch it. everyone at home they're doing so well they're doing so well i'm literally wearing her to show ms you know i love it though these shoes are ms maybe they stick around to the end of the show to see it guys i'll get my little tootsie out for you yeah so well i just bought a pair i was influenced by monique who is obviously like she can do no wrong but i got a pair of navy cargoes cargoes oh i've seen her in those they're good they're really good i thought quite nice with Like a dark brown, like backless loafer and denim.

20:42Anyway, I'm excited for those. Speaking of fashion, I've heard that you girlies are doing a really exciting partnership for Fashion Week. Can you tell me about it? Can I just say, with some shakes, when they chuck so much stuff in it, I'm always a bit like, oh God, is it going to taste good?

21:18This tastes 10 out of 10. Yeah, it's really good. Nana and Sart did some good investigation and testing. They've done such a good job. Chef's kiss, literally. Literally, chef's kiss. It's part of London Fashion Week for their fueling fashion campaign. Yeah, wow. Let's tell you what, speaking of collagen, one of the things that I think you can class this as shopping, I had a treatment done that has really changed my skin. Oh my God, talk to me, I need it. I had Harmonica. Have you heard about this? It's where you have collagen injected into your skin and it lasts for up to 13 months.

22:27And I'm not just saying this, but I've never had more people come up to me recently and saying, I sound like one of those implors have been like, guys you've been asking lately about my skincare routine but genuinely people have and honestly it's made such a difference to um my skin condition it looks much healthier it's glowier it's even filled in little tiny wrinkles i had i did a before and after done one side of my face even during the process and it filled out some of the lines and then at the same time i've also been using this new product from skinceuticals called ptox oh yeah i have a serum it's kind of like botox in a bottle yeah and it is i use it daily it's the moisturizer peptide cream wrinkle and pore modulating peptide cream and honestly this in combination with having that treatment done i've never been happier because you are in serious bride prep i'm in serious right prep me and Tom are talking about this all the time like what are you doing what are you doing yeah is it quite competitive it's becoming bride wars because he also has one of those personal trainers from Dubai you know those ones that people get online and he's doing this program and the other day I felt his pecs that sounds a bit graphic in whatever context that may have been he's your fiance I'm glad to fill his pecs and I was like oh my god babe you're getting really hench and then that all of a sudden i'm like oh my god i need to get myself together i don't want to be on honeymoon being like oh my god look at my fifth boyfriend i'll be the one taking the photos i want to be front and center next to the hot man in the photos and then he was like oh i'm gonna start doing some things my face i was like what are you gonna do to your face because you're gonna need to tell me oh my god you're gonna got quite jealous when they had the harmonica thing done because he saw the difference yeah and then i think that it's it's really started a bit of a competition between you imagine like having that in your marriage yeah so healthy sometimes it's healthy and sometimes a bit like oh god i'm eating a mcdonald's yeah don't judge me and you're taking one chip and i'm feeling like maybe i might need to i think you've got to be like both have like cheat days together yeah we are good at that yeah the amount of times we're like, should we just get another dose?

And so make sure you subscribe whether you're watching or listening right now but we do need to talk about celebrities because so much has been going on this week i know and one of the things we do need to talk about which i think every single person on the planet is talking about and that's the sydney sweeney advert so it's for this new like betting sports prediction company that she has invested in and if you haven't seen the advert she's basically naked apart from being covered by various different bulls of the sporting variety and it kind of has this comment that's been getting people the reason why people have been getting so annoyed about it is that female athletes are out here trying to do the most trying to promote women's sports and it almost feels like she's taking it right back by presenting herself as an overly sexualized version of herself and actually that's not what women in sport look like women in sport are strong they're powerful they're dynamic they're not just stripping down and having two rugby balls on their nips yeah I think there's a couple of things around this that we do need to discuss one is that she is just kind of this person now is kind of like I'm part of the joke and what she doesn't really care like she truly doesn't care so you've got to kind of be like kudos to you for that but Amy Hunt I'm not sure if you know her but she just won four golds yeah at the European Championships which is the most any athlete has ever won in won championships yeah she's incredible she's so intelligent she's got an incredible degree she is so astute and she came out at a recent athletics tournament and was like sydney sweeney this is what girls yeah and women in sport looks like it's strong it's powerful it's dynamic we're out here we're chasing goals and i think that's what we should be teaching girls to look at and look up to not to this overly sexualized version of it which is ultimately playing into the manasir and toxic masculinity and the way certain men view women.

27:05And that's why I think it's really damaging. I thought she's sort of, she's come back out. I think she was sort of surprised by it's been a really strong reaction. Do you think she's surprised? Yeah, I don't know that she's surprised. I think she's been surprised at sort of the literal of like rage towards her. I think she's got, she's an equity partner in it. I think she knew what she was doing in the reaction it would get. Do you know what? And she approached them to be an equity partner and then made the advert with them. She knows what sells. Yeah, exactly. I mean, she's not stupid. She is not stupid.

27:36That other advert that she did that also went viral. That advert for American Eagle Pounds. And that company then increased its market share by 10%. She is sort of sexualizing herself, but she's doing it to her own advancement. So I don't know. She's obviously clever. she's clever in terms of like she's using what she's got to make some cash but also i feel that she's also come back and said that she's listed all of these american um sports women and sports men who have done nude covers yeah so she's sort of saying guys chill out um why is this different to what they're doing is that different because they are sports people yes yes who are doing it and she is a beautiful actress who's using her attractive enough.

28:29Who's kind of cosplaying. Exactly. So is that why there's no rage towards that? Sort of Venus Williams or Serena Williams being naked, I mean, covered up, but on the front of a magazine compared to her doing it. I don't think they're being like, hers is way more sexual than that. But yeah, it's not sexual, but they're still nude. Yeah. They are really promoting a really strong body image, right? Like work hard for this. Like strong women should look like strong women. They should have muscles. They should have this. They should have that. They shouldn't have to be trying to conform to this idea of what men think is attractive, which is kind of what Sydney Sweeney is playing on.

29:05And I do think as well, it's kind of like, yeah, okay, if she is, if she is comfortable with it, then great. Cool. Go for it, girl. But at the end of the day, she's making a decision that's setting a whole movement back. And why shouldn't she do what she wants to do with her own body? I know. Why can't we all do what we want with our own bodies? And if that's how she wants to promote herself, I mean, listen, devil's advocate. She's not the role model I want for my daughters, but you've also got to see why shouldn't she do what she wants to do? She's happy to do it. She's making money from it. I'll tell you someone else we're all talking about again is Meghan Markle.

29:40Oh my God. She's back in the UK. She's back. Over the weekend. The biggest boomerang ever. Uploads the video of her. with her roaring fire in 25 degrees which is too soon we will be cold babe but we don't want to be boiling we'll still get and now she's had to apparently i was seeing something online that um this gossip columnist had posted this video and apparently uh she posted this video and these paps had used it to then check aerial footage to see where they were living and now they've had to pull their two kids out of school yeah it's just a mess being either very poorly advised she's just incredibly naive yeah i think like it's funny i don't know why she put that instagram post out like i feel it's just gonna ruffle feathers if they are trying to make ways back into the royal family like just like going slowly and under the radar but also do you want this private life where nobody cares or are you putting your life out for the public to see like it's a very she's kind of wanting the best of both isn't she yeah i just i always have been a i know this is this almost sounds controversial so i've always been a bit of a mega markle fan but when you actually boil it down to what she's actually done she fell in love with someone she got married she tried out a job that she actually hated and we've all been there babes yeah decided we want to move somewhere i mean harry could have prepped her a bit more yeah could have prepped a bit more then decides she wants to come back because she wants to raise her kids here like none of that stuff but she hasn't done it quietly yeah she didn't do it quietly with grace like she didn't go to the states and say good luck guys but thank you know i'm out she is so she's written but he's written oprah oprah the netflix show but then don't you think they've taken them down they've been they've like insinuated like racism they've got all these awful things about family that They've chosen to leave.

31:39Yeah. And they're now not working royals. It's a tricky one though because so many people have opinions about her and they publish stories like it's truth all the time, right? Completely. So I understand her need to do the Oprah interview because then she's able to put her truth out in her own words where she's not really afforded that anyway. And I just think she's got in a situation where she's damaged you, she's damaged you, she's done. But if she wants to put that truth out, which was really awful, taking down the family, she can't expect to come back and just be, do you know what I mean? A normal person.

32:10Like if one of my sister's husbands did that and then they suddenly were like, I'm back. Where are we? No, you're not back. Where are we for Christmas this year? Yeah, exactly. I don't think they're going to be at Sandringham. No. I know. Imagine. But also I do think part of me just thinks, can't they all just get around the table at this point? Because it's becoming really tip for tat. Like the other day where the king made this announcement to say, to define what they are, right? He released this thing to the press being like, They are not royals. They are normal citizens, blah, blah, blah. And then Harry then comes out and says, oh, we didn't know that was happening.

32:44We've been blindsided. I'm like, guys, just get around the table. Have a great chat. Discuss it. And then maybe actually the best thing for everyone is for you to be welcomed back into the royal family, get doing some jobs because let's get real. Netflix is gone. Netflix is gone. It's like the royal family run ragged. There's hardly any of them left. William and Kate must be knackered. Knackered. They're going to have George straight out of school, straight into the workplace they're going to at this rate though it's like come on no gap year george no gap year straight into the palace we got a royal tour of your name on it there's a party honey i love it oh i know it's just it's just a whole sad state of affairs i think the royal family obviously works in like there is a business and each royal has its own team or workforce and it's sort of that miscom.

33:35You know, if they just sat down, as you say, I mean, they need a restructure. We're so naive. Yeah, we don't have a clue. Like there's so much. We do know they have teams and those teams should talk. They need a management consultancy firm to go in and be like, this is how you can work that out. They need to get on Slack. Oh my God, the Royal Family Slack channel. Creating a project. It'll be fine. Bing, Megan has said. Bing, Kate has said. at least it's all in one place and then you can you can retrace every message i mean proof they've got the receipts maybe that's what they don't want no one wants receipts i know i just think for the king it and it would just be nice oh there's so much shit in the world oh i know honestly it's like there's also so many more i know this sounds really bad but there's so much more important topics we should be talking about and this takes up so much airtime yeah doesn't it I know.

So now we're going to come to your listener dilemmas. because we don't want you struggling out there without our really important life advice that we have for you yeah so the question has been popping this week as always thanks for getting in touch and i'm gonna kill off this one because i love this question should you tell your friend the truth if their partner is clearly wrong for them girl okay i'm gonna go straight in on this yeah i kind of think it's not your life decision yeah it's someone else's life decision and sometimes involving yourself in someone else's life decision is not a good idea so if I see my friend making a bad life decision and I know that they have to go through the process to realize that I'm just like thank god that's not me yeah I know it sounds really bad I'm just like thank god it's not me and I'll support you as best I can during it I've had friends who've been with wrong partners who've been awful they kind of need to arrive at their own time because if you start saying I don't like the way he spoke to you it's only going to divide you and it's going to and it's going to affect your relationship.

36:50It's not going to affect their relationship. And people get embarrassed and gone defensive. I think like if it's a type of, if there's an abuse or there's cheating or, you know, making people feel insecure, gaslighting or any of that stuff, then yeah, as a friend, you can say, honey, are you sure? Yeah. You don't seem yourself, you know, is that right? Also, you are hearing the bad through them, right? So if their narrative is always negative about them, then you're making that assumption based on what they've said so you can kind of direct them back to that because you're not seeing obviously the good that they're having at the same time but I think you're right I think you should probably not saying anything I think take them out and get them really drunk and be like how are you that's the key thing is keep checking in with them how are you but it's not for you to have an opinion unless they've asked for it yeah yeah and also if they do ask for it be careful yes yes people usually when people ask for opinions they don't really want to hear the truth yeah yeah true a friend of mine once was like not going on with a boyfriend and she told me that she was going to leave him so then i went all in well i've never liked him i thought we thought he was a dick and yada yada anyway she didn't leave him oh my god classic did you go to the wedding and you're sat there be like so happy for the happy couple he's such a legend i feel i think she's forgotten in the trauma we know we've never talked about it again but yeah so yeah be careful what you say you're right don't give your opinion ask for their opinion yeah are you okay that's always the thing like if someone's going through it with their partner as well ask them if they ask that person who's telling you that do you just want me to listen yeah or do you want me to offer advice because sometimes trying to insert your advice into something is not helping you.

38:41It's not helping them. It's not helping anyone in that situation. And I think if we can get quite protective and self-righteous about, well, how dare we speak to you like that? You shouldn't, and then you're sort of winding them up. Whereas if you're like, I'm just going to listen and get it off your chest. Oh, guys, I think we need to reveal our outfits at this point. Oh. Don't we?
