In short
This LuxeGen Podcast episode is a mix of lifestyle banter and pop-culture updates. They start with Friendship Day gift swaps featuring Jellycat bag charms (olives, a baguette, marshmallows, and a teddy bear) and discuss “serious Bieber fever,” including Justin Bieber’s new album. Guests claim the album reflects the last decade of his life, is soulful, and that the “social media crash out” may be strategic marketing; they highlight tracks like “Standing on Business” and “Yukon,” plus a viral “little boy” beat sample. They also review Drake’s Wireless festival (three nights with different genres/guests), Hayley Bieber’s press trip marketing masterclass, and Netflix/Prime shows including The Boys, Trainwrecked: The Real Project X, and We Were Liars. They end with Summer I Turned Pretty season 3 predictions, debating Conrad vs Jeremiah and suggesting Jeremiah may be “better for her.”

38Don't miss out on National Best Friend Day. Now into the episode. Let's go. This week on the LuxGen group chat, we have serious Bieber fever. I'm obsessed. No, honestly, it is. I really like it. I feel like it's the music he's always wanted to do. We talk about the TV we're obsessed with. Dynasty vibes, but also summer temperate, but also crime vibes. And also the marketing masterclass that was Hayley Bieber's press trip. Made me want to rebrand my whole niche. Not going to lie. That is, sorry, but that was the starter pack for press trips. And finally, we share our predictions for the Summer I Turned Pretty season three.
09And I do think this season is where you're going to realise that maybe Jeremiah is better for her. I'll just say that. It's a good one. Enjoy. Welcome back to the LuxGen group chat. Sapna and I this week are joined by the one and only Sav. Hi. Welcome. Hello. We've been trying to make this work for a while now. I know. She's been busy. She's been at Wimbledon. I know She's all over the place But I'm very grateful to be here Thank you for having me What do you think of the set? I want my home to be designed like this It's gorgeous Well played But you guys are fashion girly So Thank you Well speaking of that Should we kick off with outfits?
39Yes I've spied your shoes I'm obsessed They're very good Talk us through What are you wearing? We got the Mr. Tumnus shoes on We got the gold shoes They're Mason Margiela And I wanted to get them in black But I feel like these are still No I really like this colour I'm into the mustard Yeah So nice for this time of year This is from Worst Behaviour Denim dress Yeah It's very comfy. I'm very into like a whole one-piece outfit because I just don't have to think. Honestly, our favourite. Favourite. Yeah. I mean, same. Like, literally, I'm wearing a two-piece. Have I worn this on the pod yet? I don't think so.
07I don't think so. It's from Zara. It's a silk, buttery yellow two-piece set. It's gorgeous. And I love it because you can dress it up or you can dress it down. I've got it on with my alohas. Love those. My little ballet flats, which are so comfortable. They have not rubbed once. I think I need to get them. And I've got my pilgrim jewellery on. And a gorgeous new ring from Jean London. if you guys you guys know our like yellow matching rings i'm sadly not wearing today i don't know what's gone on with me the knuckle dusters our knuckle dusters that we both have everyone always asks where they're from they've now come up with some new ones yeah hannah's just launched this new one it's gorgeous so good that we're all going to model our engagement rings on take note stat what are you wearing today i am wearing a top shop tee which literally they have the best three people have asked me to say where this top is a good length it just looks soft it's very soft it's very comfy um they do it in like literally every color and then this skirt is actually rick so i don't wear skirts and i'm upset that less people have like pulled me up on it today that i'm wearing i do think you're looking very sort of very little adult is the yes and then my zara sandals lovely sab what have you been up to you went to wimbledon guys i'm so sad it's over do you know it was so hot the day that i went that they closed the hill that people because i think people were fainting so it was like but i was thinking like because i went to watch the women's finals and the fact that women were playing in 35 degree heat was actually unreal but the game was only 55 minutes long which sap is really short for it yeah which is a bit of a shame because hope did you see anything else after that uh well i also saw the the men's wheelchair finals it was a bit hot though doubles i was uncomfortable singles singles singles wait imagine the strength like in that heat as well who won women's because i watched the semi-finals so i was actually quite interested in who polish play eager yeah yeah but it was really sad the woman that lost against her got really emotional.
47I just wanted someone to hug her. Well, she was the one who won the semifinal that I watched, the American one. I was thinking the stage fright that must go into her. Do you not think? Like, I just wouldn't be able to perform with people watching me. We were really lucky. Evianne gave us a tour the week before Wimbledon and we went on to, not onto the court. I was like, can I touch the grass? They were like, no. But we stood at the back of basically the baseline and then they were like, listen, this is how quiet it would be when you're serving. Like, can you imagine? No way. I had like this little mini electric fan.
19And when it was really quiet, I was like, shit, it's quite loud. It was a bit loud. Yeah. I had people like popping champagne in mine. Did you see the one yesterday with the men's final? He, someone, as Sina was serving, someone popped a champagne. It went onto the court. Did not see that. You'd be so angry when you. Yeah. Yeah. And so have you got the marathon coming up? Oh, yeah. Sydney Marathon. In like 45 days or something. I'm actually so scared. This is the least I've trained for a marathon. But what will the weather conditions be like? Quite nice. It's an Australian winter. yeah so imagine like 20 degrees but i mean that's still bloody hard i'm just excited for you you're gonna be in oz like i know my first time with all my family all my family are flying out to support me i know that's really cool i literally can't wait but i feel like i should start taking training more seriously asap rocky but you've got it you know it's in it's within you it's yeah yeah for a pb are you no i mean i was going to i felt like that was one because it's a new world major so i was hoping to but i just you know like life presents different circumstances you just have to be like running a marathon is gonna be an incredible how many majors have you done four what does that mean for us who do not run so there are world majors um so i've done berlin have i done berlin yes berlin new york london and chicago are the four that i've done and there's also tokyo boston and now sydney which are world majors um and they're just like incredible scenes and if you do them all you get a mega medal yeah although it was six and it's only just been changed to seven or it's about to be changed to seven so there's a new medal.
44It's probably because everyone's doing it it's probably because there's too many people that are ticking them all off. Yeah but it makes sense to have Sydney as a world major oh yeah. Have you signed up for next year? I've said I've hung my trainers up for a while. Fair I think you need like a year in between. It's just hard when you could just go for a fun jog. Exactly yeah throw the watch away. Yeah that's kind of what I've been doing so like I don't feel mad that I'm not really trained for a marathon because I'm like I've actually just been really enjoying life. Do you think it's sustainable to be constantly training for a race oh christ no even like there was uh the sork and e10k yesterday yeah and in terms of like if i've got my influencer hat on it would have been really worthwhile to go get content trained for it but i don't care like i run to live yeah like running is life and i'm here to have a good time i'm here to play and for those that perhaps don't follow you i'm sure everyone does but can you talk us through how you started your you know day one but how many days you ran consecutively for a crazy amount of days yeah what are you up to now So I've run every day for, I think, almost 1 ,500 days.
40It's been just over four years. And it very much started in lockdown, had never really run before. It's so funny. I was speaking about this the other day. I didn't even really realize I'd got to, like, four weeks in. Like, my mental health was just so bad. I was just kind of in a blur of, like, lockdown. So what inspired you to put the trainers on and just go for a run? Needing to go and get outside. Movement. Yeah, just needing to, like, I have a little tattoo that says to get out of my head and into my body. Very much to just shake off the nerves. That's what movement is, right? getting out of your head into your body and it was like the only time that i wasn't looking at my phone i wasn't overthinking and it was a shit time of year yeah it was it was just a shit period of time yeah i love that we're swearing on this i remember going for a walk to asda because i wanted to pick a mix and then that just slowly turned into a jog and then i was just like i'm just gonna keep going and then i moved okay this is a big topic but i live with my boyfriend who i loved like wholeheartedly obsessed with my boyfriend and i had to have the discussion with him of loving him but not wanting to live with him anymore that's really interesting so i moved to london everyone told me like this is a stupid thing to do it's not gonna last like we obviously you're gonna break up and so i was really struggling with that what point of your life were you at was that because of career reasons what what why did you choose to london just because i was mid-20s i love city life and just kind of felt like it was a whole new untapped place i feel like london's where people obviously disagree i see so much content about it but i think London is where dreams are made like I love it like I think New York's portrayed is that but I think that's London for me I agree I love it I feel like literally sometimes I go for a walk down Oxford Street at 9 p.m.
10on a Sunday while it's empty and the biggest ideas come to me and I'm so excited and I feel so ambitious and like the world's my oyster and that's where I get the most creative it's just the most incredible city isn't it we are so lucky I think you forget sometimes if you're here all the time totally nothing makes me feel more rich than that yeah the wellness options food options fashion yeah it's amazing so that's how and then when did you start documenting it I did you already have a presence on socials literally no so I had maybe like my 300 followers from school and I was posting about it on my stories um so like month one was I was like posting month one like 30 days and like 40 days 50 days 60 days and it wasn't really until I hit 365 days I was like I might just post a TikTok about this so it wasn't until I hit a year that I was like I'm gonna okay make some content about this so I was like if I'm gonna make content it might as well be about something I'm doing every day anyway so yeah yeah so it came out of the pure just love and passion you had you discovered for running yeah or just needing a purpose to get out of bed every day and that kind of gave me that and how long did it take on tiktok to i guess get a following it didn't take very long but there was a few videos you know how like sometimes i was one of those people just like a few videos did well yeah and actually woke up one morning and you're like yeah i was like what the hell but i remember one of the videos did best for me was actually me putting on a hair mask to go for a run and it got to like two million views and people were just like that's such a good idea and then yeah and then got like a brand deal with garnier and then from there it just like snowballed and me just being like yeah like this and where what were you doing for work at that time i worked in seo in copy copywriting so i guess still in marketing so i had an understanding of like the value of language and how to use it to grow yeah um yeah for sure amazing and what what are your plans this year so you've got Sydney do you sort of put these moments in throughout the year yeah um I have some like very exciting projects coming up okay we're working on this year which kind of means that's taking me away from content creating in the way that I would like to but honestly more of just like enjoying life and being present yeah yeah because I realized the other day that I've pretty much I mean I posted every day for four years I haven't had a day off but obviously don't really need one we kind of touched on this before didn't we that like do you you know as a full-time content creator which is now the world we're living in do people still have the Monday to Friday you try and switch off at the weekends you're not no that's I guess because every moment is a content opportunity but how do you not burn out from that I think it's a personality type yeah yeah I really love my job it like very much fills my cup also I'm very lucky that the corner of the internet that I've built somehow it's just so positive and like the people on it and like I was saying to my partner the other day that I think I spend a lot of time replying to dms and comments and stuff and i think because of that i've nurtured friends and and it's such an engaged audience that want the best for you as well people that are actually kind and like want to see me win because even like you guys might have seen loads of people online got really upset influencers going to wimbledon or like the f1 whereas somehow my corner of the internet were like yeah they're all really excited yeah yeah but i think also it's the way you started your content i think a lot of people start creating content to become an influencer and they don't have that purpose that started with it and you're like it was all like even running it started from just like something for your mental health and so it's so genuine that now it's like as you've grown i think people feel that i hope so genuine i hope but i do think so much of your personality shines through in your content what would be your biggest tip for would it be just be your be your true self create don't consume don't consume any social media just be yourself like i don't even like all of my friends with respect i hide all of their content because i'm like you can tell me in real life yeah you can have a conversation in real life and i will just emulate your content if i see it like you naturally become what you see yeah that's so true because you stop being i guess original you stop like being creative with things if you are so fed by what's going on around you which i think to an extent obviously businesses and companies you have to do that but that's so interesting that for like you know an influencer yeah because also comparison is the thief of joy isn't it there's always someone that's doing it differently about doing it differently wearing a cooler outfit than you doing something you know running further distances yeah well you just want to be an individual brand right so you don't really need to consume anyone else if that's your goal i love that yeah well should we move on to hot list yes because i'm dying to tell you about wireless yeah explain on your friday night so there i was working and then i was just about to have my dinner and ryan was like oh my god i was like what he's like someone's just one of his friends text him saying he's got two tickets to wireless that he's for tonight that he can't go anymore they're vip tickets as well and i was like obviously we're gonna go like i really wanted to go see drake um so it just all worked out really well it was literally 30 minutes before the like gates were meant to fully close and you couldn't get in anymore so we were like running i live in east this was obviously north running across london trying to get there we managed to get there in time sadly we couldn't get into like the proper pen bit that like the vip was but i think i would have like passed out if i was in there anyway it was very like mosh pit um but it It was so fun.
05And I was saying to someone this weekend, like no one else, and like people can come to me in the comments, but there are very few artists who could do three nights at a festival like that with three completely different sets. They're completely different. Completely, okay, obviously he's going to sing a few of his main songs every night, but like every single day was a completely new set, new like special guests. And like every day was a different genre. So the night we went, which was night one, was a bit more old school R &B. he brought out Mario he brought out Lauren Hill yeah Lauren Hill I saw the TikToks of him flying people out yes exactly it was just different people the whole night was with Party Next Door as well so obviously a lot of it was their album that they did together and then night two was like celebration of the UK like grime artists like he brought out J Hus, Dave, Central Sea like it was so cool and then he also brought out Vanessa Carlton you know the yeah when you were there no no the second okay to what song that song oh no way yes she sat she just sang that song and he was just there vibing like it was just so um i think night two was probably the best and then the third night was a bit of i don't really know it was more like um afro beats and like so it was with burner boy mainly and then he brought a few more like under the radar names um that's really cool if i was an artist i would like thrive to throw a different party every single night yeah to be a crowd pleaser as well yeah and that's the thing it's the like the whole crowd knows every single song like very few artists could have that many songs that everyone knows and vibes to and is like happy with um did he seem happy like was drake like vibes drake was so happy he was having shots he was having the best time and like i just like the way he speaks to the crowd as well he's very like it's all about positivity he's like just wanting people to have a good time and he's like i don't know it's like a really nice vibe but he's so unserious because i feel like if you were if you consumed the kendrick drake beef online you'd assume that he's just like miserable in a corner hiding somewhere but clearly not and this is the thing i love both and i've always said i love both and i don't like pick a side there but i do think with like the whole kendrick thing his main song at the moment anyway that everyone is hyped to is this song that's kind of just about shitting on drake yeah and drake's like here like passion fruit and like you know what i mean like it's just like it's like really chill and he's so unserious and then he gets on this like thing flying around the audience singing I Will Always Love You by Whitney Houston.
28Like it's just like he's so unserious and he's so unbothered and he's just him. Like I just love that about him. I love that you saw that also all night as well. Yeah. No I only went the first night. Just first night. I would have gone. Yeah literally. The worst part is leaving Finsbury Park but it was worth it. So worth it. It was so worth it. Guys Justin has just dropped his new album. Speaking of music. Yeah. I need to hear your thoughts. I'm obsessed. No honestly it is I really like it. I feel like it's the music he's always wanted to do. He's not He's not looking for a chart topper this time.
57He is just, he's reflecting on the last decade of his life. He's got his wife, he's got his son. I believe, okay, and you might not agree with me, but this whole social media crash out that he's been having is just a marketing genius. Yeah. But I also think he's troubled. Yeah, like the Standing on Business song, I was like, but you obviously just don't care. Like, it's like, but then do you not think, I actually really like the album and I think it's very much something I play in my car or while I'm cleaning the house or something. It's very soulful, isn't it? Yeah. It's so different to, It's a bit like a banger.
24No. No. It's not a chart topper, no. But then do you not think like, I think like my favorite song was Yukon. Is that how you say it? Yeah, yeah. Then I was like, but then it's not Justin. I was like, the songs I'm favoring, he's not the main role in them. But he's produced them. He's like conceptualized them. So it's still his musicality and like his brain, I suppose, in a song. Yeah. But I saw Scooter Braun actually wrote something about. Oh, really? Everyone's asking how I feel about the album and blah, blah. And he was like, this to me is the most like authentically justin thing i've heard which is well he's been controlled so much of his life yeah yeah journals i guess was quite similar to this yeah it's probably the only album that's quite similar but i just feel yeah i'm just very obsessed with it on the way here there i was listening to daisies and then i listened to that i don't want another pretty face and then i was like but which one do i yeah but i was like which one do i prefer do you know the one where he uses the drumming beat you know i haven't listened to the whole thing yet i can't remember what it's cool but he uses the you know the clip of him that went viral as a little boy yeah yeah he uses that as the beginning of the beat oh my god a little song love that love that so i need to like sit down and like i've had a busy weekend but i just sit down and like properly go front to back and just i'm so excited to probably listen to it it's really good if you give attention to it yes agreed yeah but to just have on in the background it just kind of all blares into one yes so yeah it's a very yeah you put it on while you're working it's a vibe but the first four songs are like so good did you see Cody Simpson did a cover of Daisies no really because you know yeah as in just on TikTok but you know obviously they had that song Home to Mama everyone's like guys you need to do a part two you need to do a collab do you think he's going to tour now I don't know I just don't think mentally and physically he should I mean he's standing on business maybe I hope he does because you said we got refunded for that last tour I didn't see any money coming did you buy tickets to his last tour no but I would yeah so we both no we did get refunded it took a whole year but we did really well i would love i i honestly emptied my bank account on those two oh i would now for sure yeah yeah yeah i think he will maybe he needs a bit of time to like fully get back to himself because there's he's clearly very troubled at the moment he's been battered online as well yeah i think i think it's all he's been posting on social media feeding it he's been feeding the frenzy part i think there is part of it like the instagram random posting and stuff i think that's feeding into yeah but there's also So just like paparazzi pics of him and like the other side of it, where he's clearly going through a lot.
48But part of me, like after hearing this album, I'm like, it was all collated. It was all on purpose. He just is that unserious. That's what I think. Yeah. Because do you really think you have that much money without - Do you see Hayley's story where she's like, he was fucking standing on business or something? You know, she was like, come on. Playing into it. Come on. Yeah. Well, I saw a TikTok today and it was like this guy being like, while you were in year seven, he was like doing the world tour. And they're like, they were like, all of you that have been laughing at him for the last year look at him now and then i was like and hayley bieber re-said it and i was like exactly yeah i was like fair point yeah i wasn't doing much in year seven speaking of hayley did you see that row did their first um influencer or like press trip made me want to rebrand my whole nation that is sorry but that was the starter pack for press trips it really is did it so well so well it was and i guess what i liked about it there wasn't too much noise from the creators themselves it wasn't like i'm here on da da da it was very much like they had a starter kit and everything aligned it was so cool such a good mix of influences though yeah like it wasn't just about size yeah yeah it was just it can be but not on that trip yeah and they did it in um milka which i always know i guys i wanted to gatekeep poor andrews i go there every year now everyone knows about it he literally was eating in the restaurant that's like my favorite restaurant ever justin was there oh i didn't know he went he was there's this bar called tim's and if you know you know they like have saxophonist outside at night like it's the most coolest loki bar right by the port and he was walking past so now all the americans are gonna know about i'm gonna need to book a trip i'm gonna need to go but yeah she took over grand folly beach club which is really nice it's like right on the edge of the coast i can't imagine what it must be like to be an influencer with like a hundred thousand two hundred thousand three hundred thousand followers and just be told you're gonna go on a trip with yeah yeah but even her whole like did you see her gucci look yeah yeah so well done yeah so curated very very good And it's also just the power of like that lemon yellow lip.
38Like while all of us are like, yeah, butter, butter yellow. And she's like, nope, lemon. It's lemon season. It's lemon season and everyone's going for it. Like it's just, she's got so much influence. And the inflatables. Did you see all of the inflatables? Yeah, so cool. She's got really nice, like clean taste though, I feel like. And she's bagged Justin Bieber. Always Justin Bieber bagged her. Yeah. Also on the music front, Olivia Dean is coming out with new music and has dropped a new song called Lady Lady. she performed it at a set I think last week or the week before yeah just love her she's the she's I know she's been around for a few years but I really feel like she's getting her moment she seems so human right now she's she's incredible love her she's gonna be everywhere this summer I just know it yeah also Gracie Abrams which if you haven't caught up guys sat sat down with her last week on our YouTube channel yes for our new besties series series besties very exciting if you haven't yet seen that go check it out we've got a few other one's up our sleeves very soon but yeah she is just the sweetest human being and at her recent concert i want to say it was in spain i don't know where it was but basically the whole set just um like all the power completely went her mics her music everything stopped working mid performance i think she was only halfway through maybe and so she went into the crowd and they just all sang it together and like the clips now are so viral and it was so sweet yeah she was like getting them all to sing so cool so sweet i think it's just a nice i think a lot of artists when things like that happen they are just like okay well bye and they just are like can't do anything about it like sorry but she like you know fully immersed herself in the crowd and sang with everyone that must have been her this is it my this is it yeah that must have felt crazy and she looked amazing yeah she always does she always does also something i saw is have you seen this whole anne hathaway thing yeah basically this is like her like this next year of her life 2026 is gonna be the anne hathaway takeover 100 so she's reprising her role in princess diaries yeah and in devil wears prada and verity and verity yes so that's that was such a good book i really want to read it i haven't read it what yeah i haven't read it oh my god i mean the fandom obviously that's gonna go crazy you must read that especially after it ends with us and yeah that's gonna get a lot of attention um she's also gonna be in the odyssey which we spoke about maybe in the last podcast but that's that one that literally every single hollywood actor is in tom holland's in it then day is in it robert patterson tom holland's end Hedaya, Charlize Theron.
55Yeah, mega. And it's directed by Christopher Nolan. Like this is, I think we've spoken about it before, but this is going to be a mega, mega movie. And she's also in that. And then she's also in two other movies. I can't remember the names right now, but basically this next like year or two of her life. Because she's been doing more sort of like lower key. Yeah. Not main character. Yeah, not main character, but more kind of indie kind of films. Yeah. The Idea of You, did you watch that? No. It's quite, it's all right. But yeah, she's going to have an insane run. But like, how? How is she doing it?
22all the time like logistically how does she fit that like in I suppose maybe some of it would have already been filmed when that writer's strike was happening yeah and then Dabworth's part I think is being filmed now okay so exciting is your algorithm just I feel like all of my content is just talking about her Botox like why is no one talking about how skilled and talented she is yeah I haven't seen that literally my whole whole for you page is like Anne Hathaway's face doesn't move I'm like why do you care like what why is that relevant I just think she's so classy so elegant yeah my favourite video of her is the one in Italy when she comes out the taxi and all the paparazzi are going crazy and she's like calma calma she's like my love I will you can I'll stand here and you can take photos
07this is just a quick reminder to please please subscribe I know you're all listening for those listening if you're on your hot girl walk get that phone out and hit the subscribe button it helps us so much for those that are watching on your laptop come back onto the youtube tab and hit subscribe exactly and if you're listening and you want to be watching head over to youtube because we post all of our videos on there okay let's move on to the things we're loving this is what we talk about like telly products trends okay the things we're loving okay what are you obsessed with right now um it's not really trending but i'm obsessed with the program the boys if you haven't seen it you have to watch yes it's so fucked up yeah um gory yeah very like it's like a superhero thing i don't know i don't like it's like the main character but for like but like super gory kind of like twisted sense of humor like the main character is attracted to mums and the fetish for like drinking breast milk like it's just such a weird really like what's it on amazon prime okay would recommend though it's really good have you just started it no no but i've and have you seen gen z which is like the next it's like when the kids are at school and then there's gonna be a third season that's coming out as well really okay i could It is good.
14It's just really dark and quite twisted. Yeah, in the best way. It's basically a world where like superheroes are normal. Yeah. But they're not like superheroes in the way you think they are. They're all just really fucked up. And actually like it's very political in some ways. So yeah, it's quite dark, but it is a really good show. I love how you described it without breast milk. And that's the only thing. It's just like the breast milk is amazing. I've just watched. So, you know, Trainwrecked. Yes. The series on Netflix. Yeah, I've not watched it yet. And they've done loads. they've done um they they did Woodstock Woodstock 97 and how that festival just got completely out of hand yeah yeah I want to watch it and then they did the poop cruise which was that was wild anyway they just released the most recent one which is the real project x party based in the Netherlands and this girl called Marth Marta yeah she was like I want to have a party so she did a Facebook event for this birthday party and basically it just got really out of hands from everyone in her class was then like sharing it on and inviting could you remember on Facebook yeah this is like yeah yeah was this the real project no no so no but it turned into the project x so basically this facebook event got totally out of hand to the point where it went to like got around to 17 000 people that clicked they were going into this small little village basically called harlem that's like so so small and then the council was getting quite worried like you know what if these people do turn up and they were going council going oh don't you know the people were going oh don't worry it won't actually happen anyway this facebook event got she deleted this event she was like it's getting out of hand someone recreated it but called it and called it marta's birthday party oh my god like project x and basically all these people did turn up and then they just went fucking nuts like they started lighting stuff on fire throwing cars smashing into all the stores like it was terrifying they were all just you know that that kind of like you're like yob mentality when people it's a bit like woodstock 97 like it's just unbelievable anyway this was quite a while ago but the whole thing was documented it was nuts and people died really oh my god and this girl was just like it was just this birthday invite that got completely out of hand because so the original that was a movie right I can't remember now so they were putting they were like photoshopping like pictures of the movie putting her face on it and yeah they basically wanted to recreate Project X which it was literally she didn't like SEO optimise no no no but these kids you know everyone just got so excited You know what?
37I actually think at school we tried to do that and I don't think it went very far. But it was like a... That was. And they were like, invite all your friends. But do you remember? That movie was like... That was crazy. It was like the craziest movie of our era. That was that song... The Pursuit of Happiness. I'm on the pursuit of happiness and I know that was so good. If we finish that, it's so hard. Yeah. That was such an error. But it was like the first time we'd seen any kind of film like that. People just going nuts. Can you imagine that? I get stressed if two people show up to one house. Honestly, no.
05And don't take their shoes off. But in the film, they actually like set the house on fire. Oh my God. So this is what, they were wanting to recreate this. So that's a good watch on Netflix. Oh, Netflix. Okay, we'll go watch. I've been watching a really good show on Prime called We Were Liars. Have you heard of it? No. So it kind of gives Summer I Turn Pretty, but actually also not at all. It only gives that vibe because it's in a set in a similar place of like a Nantucket or Martha's Vineyard, like on an island. it's basically this group of four um teens who have grown up together their best friends and their family owns this island essentially it's quite like summer but it's a bit like more drama like light-hearted and fun it's a bit more something happened so basically the main girl in it wakes up um basically like basically naked and like washed up on a beach and has lost her memory for the last three months and it goes back and forth of like summer they call it summer 16 and summer 17 and it goes back back and forth of these two summers her trying to figure out what happened like did someone hurt her did she try and do something to herself did something else happen whatever and it basically like relives those two summers and tries to piece all the things together of like how she ended up there okay i like the family it's really good it's like so there's this family but within the family there's like three um sisters so those are the mums and then there's like the different kids that all belong to the mums whatever and then there's like the granddad and the grandma and it's quite like yeah it's like dynasty vibes but also summer temperity but also crime vibes so i've been wondering something actually has a storyline yeah you can get hooked on it has yeah and it's got a quite a big twist which i wasn't expecting i was getting a little bit bored in the middle and then i was like oh twist okay this is good um but yeah it's like it's based on a book called we were liars i think that's what the book is called um so at parts it's a little bit melodramatic and a bit like teen drama but you've got to kind of just push yourself past that and just watch it amazing but it's got a really good cast what's it on it's on prime okay prime is prime's got a lot yeah but then you accidentally end up paying for it's crap i keep paying for paramount plus like why you're doing it's so good they've got so many shows that's why you pay for it i did the free thing just to watch mob land and now i'm like oh i'm paying for it fully but it's fine talking of summer i temperity by the time this pod goes live we will have seen the first two eps and sav we're doing a screening of it on wednesday night on wednesday night with coach yeah unreal that's so cool yeah would you like to come please do i would love that yeah um but so exciting what are your predictions guys i don't know oh my god thing is i can't give honest predictions because i have read the books oh of course so my predictions are based off of that but is it how how much does it differ the book it does quite no the main storyline has like stuck pretty similar but i think this season yeah there's three books but i think this season is going to be the most different to the books.
47Because this season, they're four years on from season two. So actually a lot will have changed. Yes, it's four years on. Four years, is it? It's four years on. Would you recommend the books? Yes. Really? I basically read them after the first season came out and I was like, I can't wait for the next one. So I read all of them in like one go and I was like, they're really good. But I think this season is going to be the most different from the books from what I've heard. They try to, because people have obviously done the same as what I have, they've tried to keep people on their toes. It's fine.
10So. And they know the hype around it. It's just huge, isn't it? I mean, it's so good. I'm obviously team comrade because that's just, I feel for him in terms of what he's been through, his past, all of that. And just remember the frustration of like, I thought he knew, I thought he knew. But I just feel like they're not just going to put it on a plate for us like that, are they? No, no. And I do think this season is where you're going to realise that maybe Jeremiah is better for her. I'll just say that. It's such a tough call, I don't know. It's this sort of thing of like, who is better for you on paper versus who is like in your heart yeah you know yeah who are you actually i'm too confident he's such a fuck boy i know well this is my thing if you throw like logic out the window i just find it more attractive and i feel like the whole like bad boy toxic whatever is like what people are drawn to but when you think about jeremiah i think that's more that he can't express his emotions yeah but that's lame if that was real life and i was with someone who couldn't express their emotions i'd be like well fuck you then no i know but i think a lot A lot of guys do struggle to express their emotions.
11And he went through so much. They went through so much, didn't they? Yeah, that is true. But then I think Jeremiah's there, wears his heart on his sleeve. He's always been, I actually started re-watching because we've got this screening. I started re-watching. And even from the first episode, he has always been there to make her laugh, make her happy, be there for her. And in like a not so serious, like he's been like this light thing. And I think that's why people who are team Jeremiah are such fans of him. Yeah, but it's also interesting that like, you don't necessarily see a spark between her and jeremiah but then also we're conditioned to think like a not having a spark is boring but like good love is safe love yeah yeah there's so many different types of love yeah and sometimes the spark isn't a spark it's just like nervousness um yeah yeah and also i think everyone thinks it's like first love thing but a lot of people say you have like three big loves in your life it's your first love that like childhood crush love which to me i suppose is conrad yeah and you've got like you're gonna name your like biggest love ever and you have the heartbreak then you have like the big heartbreak love yeah and then you have like the one your forever one I'm still my first shit I'm on my third this is looking good guys I think I'm on my third I fucking hope so I don't want to break up from Steve I don't really want to break up okay I'm excited this will be interesting to like listen to this back because we by the time this is out we'll know and then the episodes then drop weekly yeah weekly which is such a shame I just feel like I want to watch them and like binge them in one go like they have in the past I think they do it weekly.
35Oh, something else I've seen on Netflix is something called, I think it's How to Build a Band or Building a Band or something like that. It's a new reality show where it's basically they're building a band. And it's like, they're in these little rooms and they all listen to different people singing. And it's quite like a cool concept of building a band. And they've got the three judges. And they must've obviously filmed this quite a while ago because Liam Payne is one of the judges. No way. Yeah. So I saw it and I had a bit of like a jump scare. I was like, oh my gosh. like and it so it's him nicole scherzinger and someone else i can't remember who i haven't seen this marketed anywhere i think it just maybe started getting advertised yesterday on netflix but it looks like a really cool concept there was something similar so is it a blind reaction like i think so yeah so the contestants have blind reactions to each other but then it goes into a more like traditional like you know they get put into bands and only one band will make it through and all this kind of thing it's quite good do you remember the era of x factor when we you know every Saturday night you would literally clear your diary it was like X factors on I remember wanting to go on it's so bad yeah also I feel like I'm not sure that we deserve or should know yeah I don't know if we deserve to know Liam Moore but I think it'd be so interesting to try and get to know him yeah yeah it's so I literally I was like oh wow like I didn't realise he was in it I'm sure it'd be quite triggering for a lot of people to watch now yeah for sure also sorry to go back to Sunrise Embrity no please but do you not think it's so funny how like
00she just like took her glasses off and then everyone thought she was hot yeah and the braces the braces it's like the thing of like Superman it's like no one knows who he is and then he takes his glasses off I know it's I keep seeing these memes about Hannah Montana have you seen the memes it's the whole thing of like today everyone's like wait so you're telling me that people genuinely just didn't know who she was because of a blonde wig and there's all these people doing these skits of like basically if it was in real life and people were like they don't know it's me and they're like babe yeah we do it's literally you with a blonde wig do you remember that though she'd like go put it on it's like what your best friend wouldn't know it's you with that with a wig on as if it's just such a good show though but also belly she turned 60 she just took over glasses and grew boots i watched the first episode i said i watched the first episode back and it's like it did a flashback quite early on in the episode of her when she was meant to be like 12 and literally the difference she had braces in her and some glasses on and i was like you look pretty much the same babe yeah she's beautiful like real life is beautiful but they don't do her justice in that first season of making her look like this like really like oh my god she's had a makeover yeah and like her friend how her friend keeps calling out like her massive her boobs are it's like teenager that has like normal size boobs oh my goodness i'm so excited i'm gonna wearing my glasses.
