In short

The episode is about spring style and “wellness era” resets, plus celebrity news and office-style debates. Guests Lou and Alex (with host Nana and Champong) swap outfit ideas (flip-flops/colored jeans, blazer + skirt combos, Zara/Mango/ASOS/Norcomore/Victoria Beckham x Mango) and discuss shoe/beauty routines. Wellness topics include a week-long life reset at Clinique La Prairie (meditation, therapy-style talks, breathing, movement, healthy food, “four pillars”), plus digital detox (not answering emails) and a Montenegro recovery weekend at a wellness/fitness hotel called Cyro (healthy food, massages, leg compression, bike tour/hiking).

Key claims

breathing and the right teacher/place drive instant relaxation; sandals/flip-flops make outfits “chic-er”; colored jeans add fun without switching to dresses.

Notable examples

Celebrity Traitors lineup (Maya Jama, Jerry Hall, Ross Kemp, Leanne Pinnock, Rob Beckett, Bella Ramsey, Richard E. Grant, Michael Sheen, James Blunt). They also debate tweakments disclosure, hair dye decisions, and sharing boundaries online.

0:00Girl, winter is so last season. And now spring's got you looking at pictures of tank tops with hungry eyes. Your algorithm is feeding you cut-offs. You're thirsty for the sun on your shoulders. That perfect hang-on-the-patio sundress. Those sandals you can wear all day and all night. And you've had enough of shopping from your couch. Done hoping it looks anything like the picture when you tear open that envelope? It's time for a little in-person spring treat. It's time for a trip to Ross. Work your magic. On this week's podcast, we talk about getting into our wellness era. I also thought this year I'm going to make it like my year of wellness and look after myself a bit better.

0:39Also, my extensive shoe collection comes up again. Do you have like a room for your shoes? We get into the Celebrity Traitors lineup. It is looking epic. Ross Kemp, that's big for me because I'm an EastEnders fan. And lastly, would you share with your friend whether you'd had some tweakments or not? I'm the first one to say to people, I've had this, I've had that. Like, I guess because, you know, that's kind of also like the job we're in. Like we share those things. It's a really good one. Please make sure that you're subscribed.

1:19Welcome back to the Sheer Lux podcast. I'm your host today, Nana and Champong. And today I'm joined by Lou and Alex. Hi, guys. Hi, Luke. we are going to be talking about all the latest celebrity moments, pop culture moments, and also what we've been up to this weekend. It's been bank holiday, guys. Before we get into how you spent your weekend, let's talk about what we're all wearing so everyone can get into that. I feel like I've gone quite wintry today. It was very hot at the weekend, and then I've just sort of dived back into my winter wardrobe just for a little bit. And we were up quite early as well.

1:51I think when you leave the house, we were up early because we were in the office at 7am this morning to do Met Gala coverage. I think when you leave the house early in the morning, you just go on what the weather looks like then. Like my gut reaction would be like big jumper and trackies. Couldn't be more different from none of the gut reaction. I've got a leather blazer from Norcomore in this sort of burgundy maroon. It's like so soft, so lovely. Jeans are totem, boots are flattered. Nice. Alex, I love your jacket. The jacket is rower. Love. The jeans are a goldie. I'm really into colored jeans.

2:30Yeah, the pastels. I'm liking pastels and different. But then my feet are spring. So these are actually Zara flip-flops. So I'm doing like the, you know, warm weather bottom. Yeah. I'm also admiring your French pedi. I love a little French pedi. I think it looks really sort of clean. Yeah. Very chic. And I love wearing sanders and flip-flops. Like, it's a thing. Like, from now on, that's all I'm going to be wearing. Yeah. We were talking this morning as to whether it was too early. I think it is. Holly posted recently that she said, I'm probably in, I think actually a sandal, a flip-flop makes every outfit chic-er.

3:08I really agree. I just also think what it was, because I was away last week. I was in Switzerland and it was warm. It was sunny. And then since I've come back, in my mind, I'm still there. You're still in that weather. But actually, the weather today is not appropriate. But so what? I just make it happen. Dress for the weather you want. Exactly. Also, I feel like your aesthetic also, you need to have something that makes it feel like relaxed and chilled with your outfit. And I feel like if you're wearing, for example, a heel with that look, totally different vibe. Whereas I think the flip-flop makes it feel just like so casual.

3:40Yeah, just brings it down. Oh, God. I love it. My white blazer is Victoria Beckham times Mango from that collection. My belt, zebra print belt is Mango. And then this incredible silver sequin skirt. is arranged by asos and my red heels are zara love the vibe so cool whole vibe but yeah i'm doing a devil wears prada event this evening that is actually one just like this okay nice and for the podcast for you guys yeah for you guys so guys we just had bank holiday what did everyone get up to do you have a nice weekend i mean i just came back on saturday because i'd been away all week so my weekend honestly because i'm one of those people who has to unpack straight away oh yeah i think there are two camps yeah what do you do no i so as soon as i get there i enjoy unpacking so much i love finding planes for places for things yeah absolutely adora coming back the other way yeah yeah no i have to get everything out i've got to get the laundry yeah the washing on so honestly that's what i spent like and where had you been for the week i've been in switzerland okay i'd had a lovely time away at a lovely health retreat reset oh yes my idea of heaven it was it was clinique la prairie and i did a life reset can you feel the vibe can you yeah giving zen am i giving zen so what like what yeah what does it do so actually it's it's it's definitely not like usually when people say i'm going to wellness oh it's to lose weight yeah yeah at all about that this is really about there's a there's a mix of meditation but i was a bit i'm a bit like it's not that at all like it's much more like talking yeah a therapist if you want there's breathing there is movement there is all good kind of healthy food but it's like very much um a very holistic approach to like they call it the four pillars yeah i've got to tell you having done i i also thought this year i'm gonna make it like my year of wellness and sort of look after myself a bit better um i definitely you know i'm not always the best with my diet with my sleep with also my mental health in terms of i'm so much on my phone i don't take time out i'm not like and so i thought let's try this and i actually thought i might not enjoy it and i was ready in my mind to be like but actually when you go with it i feel there's quite a few things what's the best thing that you did there that you think you're going to carry on to implement in life now i know people are going to roll their eyes at this but the breathing and yes when people always talk about breath i'm going to be really honest i'm the first person like whenever i get invited to breathing things or breathing i'm like oh my god i don't breathe in and out you know i'm going to be honest i'm one of those people i'm like i know i know i don't not very spiritual again but once you actually have the it's always about the right person yeah you need to find the right person that you connect with the right sort of teacher yeah with the gym you have a pt the right you can hate it or love it so i found the right person and it's also being in the right place to do that like if you're suddenly like in the middle of work whatever and someone's like you just need to breathe properly like you're not in that zone yeah you need to put yourself in a scenario where you feel relaxed you feel comfortable and then you want to treat differently i always once taught so if you put your thumb over one of your nostrils yeah and you breathe in through one side for for three and then you cover them the other nostril and then you breathe out through the other side and you literally feel this breath go kind of around your body and it's almost just like it cleanses your inside it's yeah amazing instant relaxation yeah such a good technique that actually you know was it like an organized trip that you went on like those specific times for classes or is it something that anybody can so wait no no when you go so it's a it's a what it's one week and when you go, you know, you have a chat first with sort of the, I'm going to get it wrong, but like the head therapist person and then they set a program for you.

7:42Like an itinerary for the week. An itinerary and there's nothing that you have to or not have to, like it's not, I mean, there is a program and then within that. But you can kind of tap in and tap out and stuff that you. I mean, ideally you do it, but obviously you're not forced to do it. So I mean, you know, at the end of the day. Free will. You're free to go. But also for me, just walking around the lake and we had such gorgeous weather and it was i mean all of it it was just for me just took my system down and it's the first time that actually i didn't answer emails yeah and normally i do because i know i had one yeah you were on that i didn't answer and i was just like i'm not i saw them afterwards you know i was like i'm actually not gonna look but i think that's so important i think that like digital detox like i was speaking about this the other day that we are so contactable 24 7 now like do you remember there was a time obviously break pre-mobile where you wouldn't call someone's you wouldn't call someone pre like 7 p.m or like 9 p.m like that's yeah so you know and you'd wait until the morning whereas now you know something enters your mind you'll message them at 2 30 a.m yeah because it suits you personally and then that person like whatever they're doing they are then hit with your thoughts or what you want from them and i feel like there's some kind of i try and set some like social barriers like i don't post on instagram or go on instagram on a saturday they always say social that's my day yeah social free saturdays unless i'm on holiday or like doing something major because then there's like a backlog of content but nine times out of ten you will not catch me on instagram on a saturday but going back to you and wellness i was also at a wellness hotel this weekend i was in montenegro which i have to say is so beautiful so stunning i think it's just not on the map yet i feel like Croatia is the big sister that's had like all of the kind of, I don't know, say press around it.

9:37And Montenegro is like the baby sister that's very untouched and still. I thought it was like the Amalpí coast. Yeah, it's honestly, it's so, so beautiful. Like clear blue water, really mountainous. Like I've never seen a skyline like it, but a natural, just like a nature one. Like so many mountains, but really, really green. you can go hiking we went on a bike tour what's the food like the food i was so the hotel that i was staying in it was all because it was a fitness hotel yes it was wellness so it's all very healthy um delicious i was having like really great salads had like a refuel bar with all of your shakes and juices i would literally love to do a holiday like that it was really so they had approached me it was a post marathon because i did the marathon the week before it was a recovery weekend to get my body back in order so there was a lots of kind of like massages and compression on my legs and wow just yeah just just think it's so important to prioritize time like that for yourself yeah you know especially like going into summer or you know I think there's so much focus on like fun holidays whether it's like with friends or with family or there's weddings and it it can be a lot yeah I think it's really important to kind of take a step back and be like actually what do i need at this time of year for me to make me feel like i can be the best version of myself yeah completely it was like the timing was absolutely perfect the name of the hotel actually before i forget is cyro um because i had a few people message me being like where are you i was like you need to come um i'd like to go back in peak summer yeah so it was hot but in the evenings it was quite cold i was like you know when you have those summer evenings that you know i should take a coat out and it's all balmy i was like that would be so lovely here um so yeah montenegro one of my new favorites only three hours away

11:34fashion finds what are we loving this week what have you spotted lou i have been obsessed with the little white leather pumps they were in the celine show yes um and they're kind of like little jazz shoes yeah very flat very flat yeah uh in leather they kind of like just really hug the foot and they're really great alternatives you know a loafer is quite structured i think going into spring summer they feel quite soft they're quite soft so you know you could wear them with like a balloon trouser you could wear it with a dress you can wear it with a jean um yeah they were all over the runway shows i think selena got a pair of proenza but now they've obviously filtered down to high street so there's mango there's zara yeah um a couple of girls in the office have got them and i just think they're such a cute like they're kind of also like the repeto dance shoes yeah which i think are probably like a real man repeller yeah but they also kind of tick that like wrong shoe ugly shoe type situation yeah that makes an outfit just more pulled together in my opinion so i love those yeah alex what have you spotted so what i've spotted and is in my basket is i was saying i i wear denim and jeans pretty much every day and i'm really into colored jeans so i've got these mint green ones but i spotted some red ones love a red jean it's a really good cut from massimo duty because they are i mean i like a straight jean yeah i mean it suits me like a midway straight these are sort of high but what i do is i'll just size up so then they sit lower so they have a really good red pair which has been ordered not received and then and this might be i don't think how this how you guys are what you guys are gonna think of this but um mango had a pair of blue jeans but with tiny floral embroidery and i thought maybe so i've ordered them i have to see but i mean i think with a white t-shirt i just i just think i'm just trying to find ways because you know i'm always in jeans yeah i feel sometimes I'm like bring a bit of fun yeah yeah so especially for summer as well it's like a really great time to play around so then it's still me yeah because I'm not going to wear skirts yeah I'm not going to wear dresses I mean you and I can do all segments about what to wear when you don't wear you know and I'm like but what how do I inject I'm feeling more fun yeah what do you wear like lemon and pink I feel like there's a lot of like pastel tone jeans coming through as well yeah I've got a yellow pair you had yellow I was wearing it I have a yellow pair from Zara there is a pink pale pink pair from still here which is yeah denim brand i'm really into it's so good i'm really into um but yeah so i i think i'm gonna wear a lot of color i feel like you should piece on alec how alex styles color denim yeah you should definitely can i just say something like every time i'm with lou yeah you know i have such a crush i'm like i'm just i just love her style like you know whenever someone else but who's your style like when i was like well lou you know i think that and i'm just always like oh you know when she goes yeah i'm like that's like you're like that's like it's a seal of approval you've got it and can i talk about one beauty thing yeah yeah of course there's this new skincare range by lancome and it's called longevity md and i've got to tell you Like, obviously, I see so many skincare ranges, you know, that I mean, essentially, that's my job.

15:02But there is something so interesting about this range. So it's basically, there's like serums and moisturizers. But what's interesting is that it is divided into three categories. So it's for up to the age of 35. So when you, you know, you haven't seen the signs of aging yet, then sort of like the intermediate if you want, which is me, 35 to 55. So you've started to see signs of aging and then you've got 55 plus. And within that, it's just like a serum and a moisturizer. Like it's not even crazy. Yeah. But I absolutely think this idea of longevity, I know we all talk about longevity, but in skincare now, obviously it's going to be a big trend.

15:42But I really like that all these products, I've started using the range and I can actually see a difference in my skin. And, you know, I am more mature. And for me to see a difference, sometimes it's like, OK, I'm a bit more moisturized and it's non-aggressive. it's all about regenerative skincare yeah so it's really gentle on the skin and i really have to say it's brand new and i've been testing it for a while i honestly think that's very clever can i in your opinion how long do you have to use a product to know that it's working so this is the this is the eternal question because often it's also what else are you using yeah so i think when it comes to skincare i mean cleansers once i mean you know the cleansers yeah but serum moisturizers specifically eye creams anything like that at least three to four weeks because that's one skin cycle i we've spoken about mango but my picks are both from mango i really you're the queen of mango i do love a bit of mango they kind of kill it all the time um not that i need any more bags however they have got a really amazing kind of a dark teal i'd say dark teal leather oversized clutch with a nice gold kind of hardware buckle on the top i don't know where i'm going but i think it would be really good to kind of add to any summer occasions or how many bags do you have i don't know maybe i should count yeah you should i don't know how you would decide what bag to wear it's so weird like you i instantly know there's never a time where i'm like oh which one should i like okay i put on an outfit and i'm like i just go in a bag or a shoe person i think i think shoes is worse i think shoes is worse than bags um neither not really either like i like could easily not buy shoes accessory like i'm i'm fine with my shoes yeah they don't really excite me the way that other categories do interesting what excites you the most denim and coats yeah yeah but what do you do in summer when it's not about coats um yeah like shirts or blazers but i mean i hate dressing for spring summer i don't i don't get excited about it i'm like the completely opposite yeah i'll be thinking about my but like in in summer i could happily just have like one pair of like a strappy sandal yeah and a flip-flop yeah and like a woven ballet pump those three shoes i'm sorted i don't need anything else i'm yeah totally and like some linen trousers and something loose as long as i'm oh it's my time it's like it's my time to shine guys i can't wait whereas in winter i'm like no i'm cold she's like put on more clothes i yeah absolutely love summer also i need to do this is probably like maybe i'll get a hodge round with the girls a feature because i came on the podcast last year at some point and i was trying to count how many shoes i had and i said oh maybe like 150 or like 200 and to this day i still i haven't had a weekend where i've been able to like count like get them all out and i really really want to do it my life in shoes do you have like a room for your shoes i've i've got two yeah i've got two rooms so i've got my bedroom that has like a walk-in uh walk-in got my bedroom that has a built-in wardrobe and there's shoes at the bottom of that and then i have my second room is my walk-in wardrobe and then the rest are in there and then there are some in my basement as well wow stories your shoes must tell as well yeah yeah they're just all great pairs but there are some admittedly when i said that i was like there are some i don't wear anymore and they just need to go but it i do you could do a live auction them off when when we're filming yeah um do you know i also have to mention is the h &m stella mccartney collaboration yes you were gonna ask about this it's really good you've actually seen it i've seen it i've tried it on yeah i need to know you know i walked in and um so i went to the preview and the the press team actually said to me i think this is really you yeah i was like a stella mccartney suit has been on like my list forever i think the way that she cuts the suits with the shoulder pads and it's sort of oversized but it doesn't feel like you're like drowning in it yeah and you just kind of stand the lapel exactly just the shape of it the way it kind of slightly not doesn't cinch in but it kind of skims your silhouette the trousers are perfect shape um so anyway i tried this so they have they have created a stella mccartney suit and it's just as soon as i put it on the gray one the gray you tried the gray i tried the gray and just as soon as i put it on i just genuinely felt like a supermodel like it just made maybe not supermodel i just felt so powerful and you just you know when you put on a really good outfit and it transforms the way you feel about yourself with plan b emergency contraception we're in control of our future it's backup birth control you take after unprotected sex that helps prevent pregnancy before it starts it works by temporarily delaying ovulation and it won't impact your future fertility plan b is available in all 50 u.s states at all major retailers near you with no ID, prescription or age requirement needed.

21:29we are going on to celebrity news there has been i feel like there's been a lot going on obviously like i said earlier we were in this morning for the met gala which was major but there's so much else that's also been going on i am most excited about the new celebrity traitors lineup okay so Who's on it? Okay, so we have got Maya Jammer and Jerry Hall, which I think are the biggest names, but also Ross Kemp. That's big for me because I'm an EastEnders fan. Leanne Pinnock from Little Mix. Rob Beckett. Bella Ramsey. Wow. What was that? The Last of Us. Oh my gosh. Richard E. Grant. Last major. Seems to me he should have been in it from day one.

22:14He seems to be perfect for it, doesn't he? Michael Sheen and James Blunt they're just a few oh I love James Blunt a few of the names I actually missed the last one and I felt real FOMO from not being able to get myself back in same I think I think I need to this is the thing when you're in the office and people talk when you're like no no I can't be part of this it's a whole conversation I found before it was a celebrity one I never really got on with it too much I just find they're like I'm a thousand percent faithful a thousand faithful no well you're not it doesn't really mean anything yeah you've just been told if you're in this game well you're not like it's what are you yeah it just didn't land and you just can't really trust anyone but anyway i'm gonna give it a go yeah i'm gonna give it a go because i it is one of those conversations where if you are not watching it you are left out of 90 of the chat in the office oh my god also like if you go anywhere like i hate small talk immediate in with small talk If you're watching it.

23:14So, yeah.

23:19Hot topic, guys. What do we want to... What's on your mind? We were having a discussion in a meeting earlier. What order do you get dressed in? What is the first piece that you put on? I put on... Apart from underwear, obviously. Obviously, apart from underwear. Yeah. I'd say, like, if I'm wearing a dress, the dress goes on first. Okay. Then the shoes. Yeah. Then it's bag, accessories, coat. Jewellery? Oh, jewellery. I wear this jewellery. Jewellery actually is probably one of the last ones. Goes in with accessories. What about if you were wearing, as a denim girl? For me, jeans first. Jeans first.

23:57Always. Jewellery, I wear the same every day. Every day, I wear the same rings, the same. So when you're building out, so like today, for example, when you think about what you're going to wear, did you think, okay, I want to wear these jeans first, and then you build it from there? Yes. ah no today today this jacket i knew but i knew i wanted to wear it with these jeans but actually i think the jacket in this case so i'm predicting myself but normally it's sometimes we can have exceptions yeah normally it's it's always the the jeans first i'd say you kind of go up so whatever if i like this is a skirt today it'd be skirt first or trousers first then the top then shoes yeah i don't know it's like i feel like that's a good bag i never think about that was like my question is i always think when do you do your makeup because i have people i do that this is the best question ever go i do it in my towel so i've had a shower or a bath then i moisturize yeah let the moisturize moisturizer dry whilst i'm doing my makeup then i get dressed what if you're wearing a white t-shirt um no i still will do that first because I'm more worried about wearing the white t-shirt and then getting makeup on it on it when you put it on well I literally love people's beauty routines yeah this is when do you do your makeup yeah when do you do your makeup I would love to think that I would have like a really strict routine of how I do things and maybe there'll be a time in my life where I like you get to that point if I was on holiday for example yeah and I was going out the evening I'd have a shower and then I put my robe on and then I would do my makeup and then I would put my outfit on yeah but like the reality of my life now is that it's like such a scramble in the morning that it's really like whatever I can kind of reach to first yeah so if I've got yeah probably I would get dressed first because I feel like that's the thing I probably like would change out yeah it's like my makeup is the same every single day yeah you're a minimalist you're a makeup minimalist yeah and It's not even that I just don't really know what I'm doing.

26:04So just like, I'm keeping it simple. But you're not someone who, you know, I mean. It's not my craft. You're just full on bait. No, I know. Like I'm contoured, I'm bronzed, I'm concealer. I'm like the whole thing. The whole shebang. You know, I mean. I'd like to be able to have that uniform. I feel like I probably need that, need more of that. No, you absolutely don't. It's not where my skill set lies. No, you're fine. So yeah, I hide behind my wardrobe, basically. Yeah. I would probably, like, the reality is wardrobe first, but I totally understand that if you feel like shit and you look like shit, then you generally hate your outfit.

26:41So I find often I kind of can't really, like, judge the outfit until the makeup's done. Until the makeup's done, yeah. Caroline de Magre once saying that never, when you're looking at yourself in the mirror, don't focus on your face when you're looking at her outfit because that will throw you. So I always try and think about that. Yeah, that's like when I go in changing rooms if I haven't got a face on I'll just do it I'll cut my head off so I'm just concentrating on the outfit because it's so different once you've got your hair and makeup done what an outfit looks like and how much you love it and also I think think about like a star icon that you have or someone star that you really rate and if they were wearing the outfit would you think good outfit or not that often I'll think in my head like would that work I love that last i like him i like the i like getting some tips i'm yeah i like when i come out of a podcast and i feel like i've really learned and getting something this is this is good i like useful i like useful things useful tips another hot topic we were thinking about how much do you share online when is it too much when is it too much where do you draw the line i'm very closed book on instagram um i don't share i really don't share anything about my like personal life my family my daughter it's very like to me instagram is a sort of portfolio of my job or my style like i guess a little bit of what i if i think it's like of interest but um it's not something that i personally feel is a is a place for me to overshare i'm just not really like that anyway yeah um but then sometimes i you know i read i read you know posts or comments from other people who've opened up so much and they have found so much strength from the community that it's really helped them so i definitely think there's kind of there's two sides to it yeah um but i think also we have to be careful that we aren't living our life through the lens yeah no completely I think I always say I'm the most social private person you'll meet like there's so much people don't see but then there's so much that they do that they think that they see everything and I'm like oh my gosh you have no idea yeah because you do have to have like I said I'm really good at kind of like setting those boundaries and those lines that that is just for me and that's just my family or I don't know whatever it might be but then at the same time I do share a lot or I share anything that I feel comfortable with.

29:25That's the thing. I think it is a really personal decision. And I've taken comfort in so many people sharing their stories. If it's been, I don't know, something called miscarriage, for example, or fertility problems or anything like that. And you're like, actually, that's so brave of you or cancer treatments or whatever it might be. And you're like, that's really brave, but actually you've taken some comfort in that story. Totally, and it will help so many people to read that someone else is going through something similar to that. And I think that is such an incredible space for people to be able to share.

30:06What about you, Alex? Yeah, I mean, I would say that when I first started on Instagram over 10 years ago, I set out a rule from day one for myself. And this was no personal life, no politics, no religion. Obviously, I have opinions. But I was like, you know what? For me, I wanted it to be very much about, you know, I share my expertise. For me, it was like the extension of a magazine. It was like, I'm a beauty editor. I'm talking about that. People aren't really interested in me. But that was at the time when, you know, it wasn't really about the personal. and now I you know my boyfriend will be on it sometimes you know people know I have one but I don't talk about him he's not my family my personal life is not part of my content so it's not what I'm sort of known for and it's not what I want to share I never show my house but that's I'm very private but that's A because also my boyfriend is private honestly he doesn't really himself really want to be but also I just don't want really to show my house and again it's a personal decision I feel most comfortable and you know over the years I'm gonna tell you very honestly I've had um you know advice given to me well if you shared a bit more about your life yeah yeah you could do things yeah that you know have happened to me in my life um then you know you'd grow more I mean it's even more cynical than that like yeah more of a following yeah yeah but that's not about that doesn't sit right with me and you know it's not the right thing for me so i think sometimes what's happened that people then also have a perception of my life that everything's always yeah in a certain way but you know you can't i can't control what people think or not because i'm not sharing things that that went wrong in my life or that you know of course it's not always amazing but i know instagram is the highlights but you know and so but i but it is the right thing for me because you know i have a lot of friends who are who have a big following a lot i mean i have friends who have a big following who are you know content creators and influencers and you know for some sharing their life has been very comforting and things but then sometimes it can also be really difficult so i think there's a bit of a mix you know and i think once you do good or bad you're in it yeah you've got a tight do and you know i i personally just know that i haven't got the personality to handle it yeah i couldn't handle it um and so i think some people can and thrive and it's absolutely fine and like i say it's really helpful yeah and some people i've seen really struggle with it yeah i think it's just important for everyone to remember that not everything that you see is as you see and there could be so many different chapters behind that or it's some you know you see a positive post but like you don't know what it takes to have got there and people you know don't need to share that and you know i guess just because you also have a public platform doesn't mean that the public have the right to your personal life either.

33:20I just think each to their own, whatever suits you and whatever you feel comfortable with, that is okay. And yeah, just go with that. I agree, fully.

33:35Okay, we are moving on to dilemmas guys. First one, I am going gray. My husband wants me to dye my hair. Whose decision is this? absolutely yours no way is that your husband's decision I know I personally think you should stay grey I think I love grey hair on women I think it's definitely her decision 100 % not the husband's decision for sure but if she wants to go if she wants to go grey or not I think it's one of those things I mean it's up to again what you feel what you feel like I think you know I mean I've been grey since I was very young but I'm not ready to be grey so I keep grey yeah that's it you have to be ready.

34:16I was saying like, if you're ready to be grey, don't be afraid. It can look cool. Exactly. It can look really cool. Just don't be dated to by somebody else. Yeah. It's you. And also I feel like your hair like is your armour. Yeah. And like it's such a huge part of your identity. So you've got to be ready to embrace whichever way you want. Next dilemma. My husband's wardrobe is tragic, but he won't let me help him with it. What do I do? I love that. I love that so much. I'd love to see it. Yeah. I think it depends how much you care about it. Yeah. I mean, we've just said that your husband shouldn't dictate your hair.

34:52Therefore, I feel like I'm actively going against myself to be like, who cares if he likes his hair more, take charge. Maybe there's like subtle things. You could be like, oh my God, I think you look so fit in this. Yeah. And maybe they would want to wear it then. So that's exactly what I was going to say. Positive reinforcement. Yeah. yeah so when i want when i want joseph to wear some when i like him in a something in something and he's got good style i think but when i really like i'm just like that looks so good yeah and you know honestly any i mean even with me when he says to me like wow that looks you look great you know that we noticed yeah totally and so i think i'm with you 100 positive reinforcement yeah i wouldn't go in behind the back and like fix no and also presents yeah like buy some really nice that's a great idea yeah i think that's a really good one yeah i don't think if they suddenly like wow what's happened to my wardrobe yeah i think they'll just be like pissed off yeah said no exactly but yeah kind of subtly yeah i had this my best friend actually when she first started dating her now fiance she hated his wardrobe to the point where she was like i don't even know if like I can date him but I was like it's fine I was like do you like him yeah I mean he's your husband so you obviously like him because you got married like it's not the end of the world it is about him and if you guys get on and he treats you well yeah that is the kind of least you've got to feel comfortable in yourself like I hate the idea of like you know if I was dating someone and they were like I don't like your clothes I really wish you dressed more like this I'd be like, okay, get out of town.

36:28You're not for me. So I think there's a middle ground. Hopefully it comes from a good place and she's got good stuff. Yeah, definitely. Like I said, presents. Last one. My friend has asked me about getting tweakments. She wants advice basically whether she should or shouldn't get them. I've had tweakments done, but I haven't told her. What should I say? Maybe she's asking you. she's got suspicions she's got suspicions and she thinks you're an expert and also it's giving you the option to come clean I wouldn't be able to hold that in my conscience knowing that I feel like maybe there's a little fishing there of like oh it looks so good I obviously haven't even noticed but also there's no shame in it I'm the first one to say to people I've had this, I've had that I guess because that's kind of also the job we're in like we share those things but i think i mean also equally if you don't want to say it don't but there is honestly that's i don't think there's a stigma and i remember years ago you know people were like oh has that person had yeah something yeah yeah yeah whereas i think now we're in a very sharing yeah but like and yeah like and what it's not cheating or it's not doing something bad like i just don't i think we need but also why doesn't she want to say it that's the other thing like is it in her mind is it something bad that she doesn't want to share it which i just don't think there's anything you know we have these tools yeah it's nothing to be ashamed of or like we're not nothing yeah either way yeah exactly and also if you have had some treatments yourself you can give her honest feedback and good information exactly on advice yeah like go to my guy he's great exactly and then maybe you get a little discount yeah referral i know it's a win win for everyone in this situation yeah no definitely oh my gosh guys that's it that was so fun that was so much fun i could sit here and talk all day but that is a wrap for this week thank you so much for joining us before i leave just one more reminder please do subscribe leave us a review wherever you listen to your podcast it really does help us out until next time i'll see you soon

Beauty talk takes centre stage too, with a look at Lancôme’s new longevity skincare range and how personalised, age-based skincare is shaping the industry.
