58With us right now, it is Asha LeCount. Asha, you are the CEO, your consultant, your speaker at Beyond EQ. Your website is beyondequinternational.com. We were chatting in the kind of the speaker lounge, the podcast lounge beforehand. And I feel like we're long lost friends. We have been in each other's spheres for a long time. So it's really great to have you, Asha. Thank you for joining us. Thank you so much for having me and hello to everybody. And I'm so grateful to be here. So thank you for having me. Yes. Before we get going in your superpowers, I always love learning what hobbies, what people are into, like if there's any kind of movies, TV shows, books, games, any of that stuff like you're like kind of like geeking out on right now.

49What do you do when you're not at work and you're truly just in play? Oh, man. Thank you so much for asking. I will begin by saying for many, the reason I do this work, and we won't spend too much time on this, is because for about 20 years, I completely lost my joy in my life. And then when I started this joy, all of this work, I was like, oh my gosh, I'm a roller skater and a dancer and an energy healer and all of these other things. So in my spare time, I roller skate a ton. I live in Venice in Los Angeles. So there you go. I get to head down to the road roller skating opportunity in Venice.

30Yeah. Yeah. I've got these rainbow roller skates really cool. And interestingly enough, I travel around the country doing energy work on my roller skates. So it's a lot of fun. And then I also do, I just launched or released beyond EQ kids where I'll be dressing up as a mermaid and teaching the rainbow theme of roller skates with the rainbow of emotions. And then I also take private dance lessons. And the goal is to blend dance with energy work. And I also am a bikini model. And I just competed in my first IFBB pro competition and I won first place and second. So first and second place. So yeah, that's just what I do.

12Yeah. My goodness. You know, I back in the day, so when I was in high school, I DJed at a roller rink, roller world. And this was before the days of Barney, which is aging me quite a bit. But I would dress up as a dinosaur and I was a purple dinosaur and I was the rollersaurus. And I'll just tell you, Asha, to your point, it's hard to be angry when you're on roller skates. It really is. And it's hard to be angry at someone on roller skates. I get a lot of love on the roller skates. That's for sure. You know, and like, I just have fun. I love fun. I think it's really one of the biggest lost arts in business.

58And it's roller skating. Roller skating is a lost art in business. No, just fun in general. And, you know, and that's what got me going. I would like only be fun when I had some drinks and now I'm five years sober. And, you know, I think that's a pattern a lot of people can relate to, you know, where they're like, you know they kind of change into somebody else when they're a little bit like not themselves or they're not putting on that on that face of like seriousness and my goal is really to kind of just diminish all of that in this life because of what you do or just keep we're just going to keep training we'll just keep working with that because it's kind of all one in the same for you but um do you mind maybe just addressing that issue just because you brought it up about you know and and And listen, all of us have our things that we may use, some of us to numb out, some of us to escape.

50You know, some of these things can be completely healthy and edifying. And other things we might have some mixed opinions on. You know, we might say, well, look, yeah, is it fun to have a drink after work? Yeah, it's fun to have a drink after work. Is it a net positive or a net negative? And, you know, sometimes I think some of us get to a point where we say, you know what, whatever the thing is, whatever, you know, whatever our outlet is, we start to question whether or not it is becoming more of a net negative. And, you know, there's been a lot of things I've kind of said goodbye to on, you know, how my relationship was at the time and, you know, kind of adapted a little bit different relationship.

33But if someone is, let's say that they are questioning whether or not, you know, it could be, you know, it could be alcohol or, you know, maybe just it could be politics, you know, getting involved. And let's be careful with this, but let's say that, you know, on the very subject of, you know, always engaging in angry blaming of others, and that could be their drug of choice, which I would probably argue is probably one of the biggest addictions going on in the United States right now. not to say anything about anyone's particular views, but it certainly seems to be manifesting with a lot of anxiety, worry, frustration, bitterness, and it can't feel good.

20Yeah. So this is great. I'm really happy that you brought this forward. There's a lot here. Let's start. Yeah, that was like a 10 part question of sorts. Yeah. So let's start with a little bit of my story. So about five years ago, I was coaching emotional intelligence to leaders. And you know what, Josh, I was like, why am I, how am I coaching emotional intelligence and running a team? I was an international consultant living in Australia on the beaches of Australia, making a lot of money, but I was about 60 pounds overweight. I hated my family life. I didn't like, we would fight all the time.

56I would work hard, party harder on the weekend and get into like these shame cycles of like really bad behaviors of loops of fighting and then back to that behavior. And as you mentioned, really so poignantly, it's the intention behind the behavior that actually has much more detriment. So if you're a 98 year old man who drinks wine every day and you don't care, you're not going to have any health problems with that. It's when you tie shame to it or you're like, what's the problem? So what happened for me was I said, wait a minute, if I'm a leader and I'm so high in emotional intelligence and everybody's just so high in emotional intelligence.

36Why does my life look like this? Why do I hate my life this much? And when I posed the question, I was really cracked open. Um, and in the, in the process, I saw how avoidant and anxious I was in my, in my marriage and how many women perhaps are omitting, you know, um, deeper sexual relationships with their partners and these things, I couldn't feel myself. I was so anxious that I was having anxiety attacks and I had overactive thyroid and ultimately I got cancer. And so when I started posing these bigger life questions, the divine or source or whoever, you know, whatever your belief is for me, it's like a God source cracked me open and started to show me energy and frequency.

22And so what Beyond EQ is, is the understanding of emotional intelligence. And then I take it deeper into feminine and masculine energetics with the DNA. So our DNA is made of feminine and masculine and it holds stories, which is our perception and our perspective on how we are and who we are. And that is my life's purpose is to go beyond emotional intelligence. so the emotion carries so much weight only when we have a story tied to the emotion so my life path is to help people release the negative story and feel okay about moving big emotions without putting some big story to it yeah i should just a technical if you want to go ahead and set the microphone down you don't have to hold it i heard you just fine yeah it's because it was too close it was kind of popping a little bit so yeah yeah you're good you're good okay um So, Asha, let's talk about the things that we have control over and the things that we don't have control over.

29And how can we more readily be aware of those things? Because I think that, you know, there could be a lot of things to worry about that are outside our control. That customer didn't buy. We don't know why they didn't buy at the end of the day. We can internalize that and say, oh, I'm a bad, you know, something wrong with me, there's something wrong with my product, there's something, you know, in the water, whatever. Who knows? Maybe it was just, you know, that person had a lot of things going on and they had to make the difficult decision that they couldn't engage. And that could be very disappointing to us.

04I end up working with a lot of consultants, coaches, and agency owners. And sometimes, you know, I think that it would be helpful if we had some better programming to help us with maybe a situation like that. And I'm just kind of picking something, but I think the theme is more important of what's in my control, what's outside my control, and how can I be at peace. I love this. This is such a great touch point because especially with consultants and entrepreneurs and even really people in sales with the buying, it's actually the same in relationship. So let's say you get your heart broken. You might make that about you if someone suddenly leaves your life or they don't invest or they don't want to do life with you.

50It always comes down to our self-worth. So what we can do very much so is put a story to whether or not they're going to invest or whether or not they choose us or they love us. And that is very natural. That is the first thing people need to understand. That's completely okay and natural because a fundamental need is to be accepted and seen as a human. that goes all the way back to, you know, the beginning of humanity. Everybody wants to be seen and be heard. And then the truth is 80 % of that is energy. And then the other 20 % is how you show up. So some people, what I always recommend with these particular circumstances is expanding your energy and just know that like, it's a long journey and that people are going to buy at different times or come in at different times.

44It's when they leave or when things go astray that we might make it even more about our own inner core wounds. I want to talk about what you shared about sort of that projecting onto leaders and getting upset with the leadership. In fact, believe it or not, this isn't going to land very well, perhaps with some people, but that is a massive display of the father wound. So when we have a really big father wound, is a collective, which we do right now, women are very much deeply anxious and hurt. And we've got about 50 % of women single in corporate. Um, we, and it's not all women, but most women suffer from anxiety or body dysmorphia or feeling like they are people pleasing or lack of worth.

29What we can do is we can put our projections onto a higher figure, even the, in that what it does is it takes our energy out of our own nucleus, out of our own kingdom and our own build, because believe it or not, we are actually capable of doing the same thing. It's just very difficult to do that, to go after your truth and to go after your dreams. So we can get distracted about what's going on outside. And it's not to say, don't take your finger off the pulse, not to not stand for something, but do you have to take somebody else's, somebody else down in your, in your own truth. And if you want to be a sovereign, autonomous person with your own unique lens and your authenticity, well, then you have to allow that for everybody.

15And that's the truth of the matter. Asha, I don't think I've ever seen a handful of minutes go by so quickly that it has in this conversation. We have just a few minutes left, a couple minutes left. And do you mind sharing how you work with your clients, like what that looks like? and like if someone wants to work, kind of like what those next steps are, lay it all out for us. Thank you so much, Josh, for asking. I appreciate that. So first and foremost, we gotta understand as I am a CEO and I enjoy and love and expect return on my investments when I make investments, we should be treating human connection the exact same way.

57Emotional intelligence is the fastest way to create wealth. It is also the fastest way to health and human connection and family. So that is number one. So when I work with my clients, I have a tangible scientifically backed test where I'm measuring the 26 areas of emotional intelligence. So Josh, let's say you come to me and you're like, oh, I'm having problems, you know, whatever, with my sister, okay, I'm just totally making this up. I'm having problems with my sister. She doesn't listen to me. She doesn't listen to me. And then she says, oh, Josh never listens to me. It's never the problem.

30It's never communication. It's always something deeper. So what a regular coach might do is fix communication or talk you through it. And it can be really arduous. With my method, we go right to the pain point directly. And I have a free video that I'm happy to share with your audience. And then from there, I work in your energy body with the emotional intelligence competencies. And I raise your frequency very, very fast. So my clients have, you know, they come to me sometimes five, 10 years of therapy. I've never done that. I've only been on this path four years. And I will tell you right now that like my clients are like, I have spent years in therapy and it's eight weeks of working with you.

13So I have a hundred percent guarantee, a hundred percent success rate. And I've worked with thousands of companies, thousands of individuals in 18 companies. Yeah. Agreed. it's, it's, it's always, it's almost always something deeper, you know, this may be, and it may be so frustrating that this thing keeps happening or, you know, that you keep dealing with this persistent issue. But I agree with you as someone who's had to do a lot of deep work in my life. Yeah. And it's true. It is. And it's just, you know, unfortunately it's who knows some message we picked up something that was modeled to us as a kid.

50And there it is, our A little friend that kind of hides beneath the surface in the shadow work. Asha, your website, beyondequinternational.com, when somebody clicks on that, what should they do? I see where you've got the free webinar here. Yes, that's right. So there's a free webinar on the website. I also have another one that does have a link to doing a one-on-one with me at a very discounted price if people are interested. And again, my one session is equal to about three or four months of therapy. it's really really awesome because um my goal is to get energy to energy work like not woo woo not esoteric not something like extra um just really cool easy way to get rid of your trauma fast and so when you go and look at those things you're going to be able to see what I do and then my work in YouTube is really geared toward a relationship whereas on LinkedIn it's way more toward business because they're both one in the same and with the rise of AI you cannot be a business that's not putting human intelligence and emotional intelligence into your business, you will collapse.

54It's not a speculation. That's just what's happening right now. America's on a house of cards. It's going so fast. It's like the nervous system's like... So if you slow your team's nervous system down, then you have much better results. I see it, Asha. You see it, right? I'm calling it the collective ego death. Yeah. Yes, right. They don't see it. You can yell at them all you want, but they're not going to change, right? So you just got to keep going and keep pushing on and do your thing. Yeah. Well, Asha, again, you're the CEO, consultant, speaker at Beyond EQ. Your website is beyondequinternational.com.

32Asha, thank you for the wonderful conversation. Thank you for being a guest. Thank you so much. Oh, wonderful. Okay. Thank you so much for having me.
