0:20I sound amazing. welcome back to the toast and happy hump day hey speaking of humping only one girl comes to mind why thank you cogers wogers caroline wojniacki folay comma jacqueline i know today you're caroline wojniacki and i'm still folay you know what i mean yeah it's like the more things change the more they stay the same your name changes the more mine stays the same i mean if you could start like larping your own nickname i'm sorry i'm not good with nicknames you're lucky i came up with folet like i need a friend named jackie and to see what i could do for her i would love to know where you'd end up with a friend named jackie i could never even imagine the places the places it would take you oh the places you'll go cojourners truth someone left the funniest comment on our instagram yesterday saying we'll know that claudia lost her mucus plug when the title of the episode is Plojourner's Truth.

1:25And until that day... It will be a quiet, boring day around here. Correct. How's your MP doing? Still intact as far as I know. And even though it's still really early, I'm really wiping with a lot of intent. Do you know what I mean? Which I feel like is good at this point in pregnancy. It's important to know what's going on down there. Headed to the doctor today. Gonna see if the baby's flipped. I can tell you he definitely hasn't. Oh, we're rooting for you. And I scheduled it very nicely because if he hasn't flipped, which I'm pretty sure he hasn't, tomorrow I start my journey in the Eastern medicine at the Software Longevity Institute of Technology.

2:00I have my first acupuncture appointment tomorrow. Oh, keep us posted. I feel like you would know if he flipped. Sound off in the comments, even though we'll know later. I've done some research. There's like conflicting reports. Some people feel it, some people don't. But like, are you still feeling kicks in your cooter? Yeah, but I'm also feeling kicks everywhere. Well, they could be punches. Yeah, right, right, right. No, Rocky. I also had physical therapy yesterday where we did some exercises and such. By the way, her baby's name is not Rocky. I could see people being like, Jackie spilled the beans.

2:30My baby's name is Bowie. Everybody knows that. No, but I was just saying Rocky. What's his name? Rocky Balboa. Okay, it's Balboa. I don't know why I got nervous that it wasn't. Right? Sylvester Stallone. It was a sly. It was a sly reference of sly. Yeah, I got it. Thank you. No, the baby's name is Bowie. When I think of like famous boxers. Who do you think of? Cinderella Man? Probably Manny Pacquiao. That's a good one. That's because I'm not like other girls. Conor McGregor. Or Jake Paul. Is he a boxer? Who? Conor McGregor. Yeah. I think he's a fighter. Well, you know, then we're getting into the MMA.

3:07Do you use your bare hands? Are you barehanded? That's really nutty. That's like Joe Rogan. Joe Rogan does barehanded. He does commentary for MMA and that's barehanded. Really? Yeah. Where they like tuck into each other and hug the whole time. I will seriously. Yeah, right. Where they're like actually humping each other. Perfect for hump day. I will genuinely never understand the difference between like, I actually, the only one I can differentiate is WWE. That's like fake. Of course. Kids love it. No one's actually getting hurt. Total Bellas. WWE, UFC, MMA. Like I don't understand the difference, but I know UFC is like.

3:47is MMA no well Joe Brogan does commentary for UFC but it's they're not doing martial arts up there they're not a bunch of artists no we could definitely google this but I feel like I'm having fun in the unknown you know yeah and it's not germane to my life to know this it's not maybe like once a year when there's a fight on that has some sort of celebrity connection like when Jake Paul does it or Tommy Fury Logan Paul right Logan too did you see actually that their HBO Max reality show like has debuted no I actually just went to write I was thinking there's something I wanted to add to my content plate that I know I'm gonna watch and I couldn't remember but I realize now it's Paul American but I don't have my pen well I can tell you the clips that I've seen like everybody's talking about this one particular storyline between Logan and Nina where it's her birthday and he ends up getting her like a crocodile Birkin which is like oh my god but it's the day of her birthday and he like forgot to get her a gift and she's like did you give me a present and he was like yeah and he like lies to her so it's like actually not romantic at all um the bag is sick and he overspends because he seriously had like an hour in new york to go get a gift from like this fancy vintage shop i mean that's a classic case and you can forget about my birthday if at the end of the day i'm gonna have a crocodile birkin i just want to let you know that's okay i know it was like kind of sad though i feel like up until this point i've known nothing about nina and paul

5:16as like a couple and I've just always felt I'm like everything people think about them like is wrong like they're really like and he's a changed man like some of the clips I was seeing I'm like oh no that's like exactly what I thought you are you know oh that's funny I'll have to watch it to judge it on my own but I stand by what I said like you can forget my gift if by the end of the day I have a crocodile Birkin like we're squared away yeah I guess that's fair yeah because at the end of the day the material items matter more than being material items last forever but it was definitely like sad to watch because she was like oh my god you did get me a present you always forget so did she not know until the episode airs that he actually i'm not sure like at what point he told her the truth whether it was with the audience or maybe like the next day but she got a birkin so we all have to come to birkins in our own ways you know well that ends well it's true dorit had to jump off a boat but all's well that ends with a birkin a crocodile one nonetheless right right round it was really sick how did he get a birkin in a day does he have that much pull at aramise but no he went to a vintage shop so he no he went to like a like it was like this very kind of um the collector's item kind of like a hamish or slumber type of sick so he like that place that has all the birkins that we always walk past yeah like that it's like an auction house yeah he went to like a fancy but it was like it was no It was like a classic Instagram guy.

6:35Do you know what I mean? Oh, like what goes around comes around. Kind of. He had like a private showroom. He was actually Jewish. He was religious. His name was like Yossi or something. Wait, I have to watch a show. Gotta connect with Yossi. Gotta connect. You know? Maybe he wants to do a deal. Right. So it's Wednesday. We have stories. We did have a Real Housewives of Beverly Hills recap until I found out that Jackie didn't watch. And let me tell you, like you guys are missing nothing. It was really giving part two, you know? Yeah, and because there's a part three, we won't miss recapping the whole season.

7:08I feel like my reason for not watching is as beautiful as a reason could be, which is that Harry was in my bed all night because he didn't want to go to his, and so I couldn't turn my TV on. I'm so jealous. I'm so jealous. Oopsie, and I knew you would understand. Of course, and I will accept my payment because I did watch it, and if I knew that I didn't have to, I wouldn't have suffered through it, but the payment was a picture of Harry in your bed. And you know what? The check cleared. We are square. Okay, thanks so much. And you truly missed nothing. They had Jennifer Tilly on. Okay. Which I like her.

7:42And actually I like her even more after her time on the reunion. But talk about not needing to be at a reunion. She had no drama to answer to. So they pulled this one random thing she said on a Bravo digital web after show. And it was just basically saying that she was shocked to hear that PK is staying at the Beverly Hills Hotel because it's really expensive. I mean, that is surprising. Yeah, of course, but that's her big drama. She had to apologize. Like, it was so stupid. But what I didn't know is that she's a huge Housewives fan. Like, a super fan. And she's, like, talking about the differences of, like, watching it versus being a part of it.

8:15It wasn't that interesting. Okay, I know I would enjoy it. It just, I'll have to catch up. And then tonight we shall watch Summer House. We shall tonight watch Summer House. So that will be good. The recaps will be back tomorrow. Tomorrow. tomorrow and is southern charm is done over it's done i never gave you guys a final recap but i did catch up by jack self so we get our fridays back what should we do with all of our free time well the valley starts to premiere soon i don't know what night that will be on i think there's actually like stuff coming up so we're in our tv recap season for sure 1000 so that's exciting what else can i tell you before we are forced to talk about others Did you see I made a nase last night?

9:01I saw that you made a nase last night. And I was like, I got left home alone. Ben went out to dinner with his parents. I'm eating like shitty leftovers. I'm sure you were invited. I was, of course. And I planned to go, but at four o 'clock, like I just dropped dead. Like I was seriously not okay. And like, to be honest, if I felt the way that I felt and they were going to like McDonald's, I would have went. But the restaurant they were going to, like I knew I couldn't really be fat at. It was Greek. You don't like Greek. You know I hate Avra. Like even though it's so good, it's a beautiful restaurant.

9:28I love Avra. Everyone loves Avra. It's just like, I don't like Greek food. I can't really be like indulgent. You're gorge. It's just like salmon for you. Right. Ben was like, you know, let me know if you want to come, if you're feeling well. He was like very understanding. Where did they go? Avra. Oh my God. So I was like, I wanted to go because, but like the idea that I would like suffer because just being out of the house after four o 'clock is suffering for me. And I wouldn't even get like a big fat juicy meal. It wasn't enough to take the risk. And I would be in this uncomfortable chair. No, the idea of going to a restaurant and not like gorging and really eating.

10:02Like I'm there to eat now. So yeah, if it's not about that, if you're not about that, like I'd rather stay home. And then when Ben got home so late, by the way, he was like, no, it's so much better that you didn't come. I'm like, okay. He was like, we just had, he was just at the best time, you know, like it was just also like his sister couldn't come because she was sick and she didn't want to get me sick. She didn't want to get Ben's parents sick. So it just ended up being, it was supposed to be celebrating like a little belated Ben's birthday because he hadn't seen his family. So he had like an only child night.

10:29Yeah, he had an only child night. They like had cocktails. He was like, we just had the best time. He like was being kind of annoying. I don't know if he was like trying to make me like jealous. It was kind of working. That's really funny. It was just amazing. My parents are the best. And I was like, yeah, yeah. He was like, I'm like, was it like, sorry that I didn't come? He's like, no, like it's fine. No, I feel like he wanted to be alone with his parents and be like babied for the night. A thousand percent. And you know me. That's a good feeling. When I hit like a time where I need to go, I'm like, we have to go.

10:55Yeah, but they're kiki-ing. kiki they had cocktails so it was better but he just kept saying like it's actually better that you didn't come okay oh he's like his father repeating yes repeating hurtful things twice not even twice like four times i was like okay so what did you eat for dinner i had leftover tacos which were still good but then i was tapping through your instagram story i'm like oh she's having homemade wares and i'm eating like seriously out of a tupperware i know but sometimes i feel that way tapping through your guys's where like ben's making something parched and we're having frozen chicken nuggets.

11:28Comparison is the thief of joy. It's true. But I did have a lovely Nase shout out Ina last night. You did inspire me to watch Ina, which is what I watched while I ate my leftover tacos. That's so funny. I watched Ina in my first pregnancy as well. There's just something, even though I. She's the vibe. If you watch too much of anything, you'll start to hate. And so I am starting to hate Ina. And I noticed like her little flaws. Like she actually doesn't try her own food. Except last night she made her signature chocolate chip cookies and they looked so good and she ate the whole thing so i'm like oh so you do eat but she doesn't eat any of her other shit interesting last night i actually i never like try what i've made before i put it out to see if it needs anything because i followed the recipe so like there you go why would it need something but i had a feeling she her recipe called for a lot of wine like she's really crazy so i was like did all this shit cook down like right and if you're serving your kids you got to make sure there's not like a alcohol content right um or it would just taste bad so yeah you by the way you've everyone knows like i mean it's just a rite of passage where like you make a dish with alcohol and it doesn't properly cook off like i've literally gotten drunk off of pennella vodka that i made once that hasn't happened to me once but like it's very acidic and i used half and half instead of heavy cream so i was like let me just try it and make sure it's like fine um and it wasn't and then i was googling like how to make it less acidic I don't have any more cream and Gemini.

12:49I can't cook without Gemini. Gemini is my sous chef. And what did they say? Either you could do a little baking soda, you could do a little sugar, or you could do some butter. So I did a sprinkle of sugar and some butter. Parch. Wow. Thanks, Gemini. It's literally science. Like every reaction has an equal and opposite reaction. It's true. A little NACL. Very lessons in chemistry. A little NACL. I love that. We got to talk more about the periodic table. We do. You know, because I'm feeling like Borium. You are Borium. Yeah. And I feel like we're not talking enough about potassium, like as a society.

13:28Yeah. But I do think, honey, I shrunk the kids, like did great things for the stock of potassium. Yeah. Yeah. A hundred percent. Everybody knows. You can get it from a banana. Everybody knows that. A hundred percent. And it's like even though kids today don't watch that movie, they know from their parents. Yes. Right. It's generation. It's Lador Vador. Lador Vador. From generation to generation. Turdy, that's beautiful. I try. And speaking of Lador Vador, Passover is coming up. How are you feeling about the Chag? I'm feeling nervous. So for any of our listeners who are either new or don't know some of the rules of Passover, it's a beautiful time.

14:06It's a great holiday, but it is like 10 days where you're not supposed to eat any leavened. Is it? We argue about this every year. It feels like 100. That's why. Like, I almost said three weeks. Like, that's what it feels like. It's a certain period of time where, you know, out of respect for what our ancestors went through, being kicked out of Egypt before their bread had time to rise, you're not supposed to eat anything leavened. So that's pretty much all carbs, all bread, anything like, you know, with gluten in it. Yeah. Let me tell you, that shit is so hard. And I think in like the last couple of years I've had an easier time because I've been like dieting and on Ozempic.

14:39So I just have like less cravings. Any food restrictions haven't been such a big deal for me. But I there must be like a prenatal makhloket where you don't have to. The idea of not eating bread. I will die. I will die. I know. Like there's no way. And I feel like Passover doesn't get what it deserves because like we have Yom Kippur, which is really hard. And like we need more. We need more hate for Passover. Yeah, like it's not my favorite. No, and like in no way is it even close to how bad Yom Kippur is. You can eat as much as you want whenever you want. It just can't, you can't eat certain, it's a gluten-free diet.

15:14Yom Kippur is like a full fast day, like it's horrible. And over the course of Passover, you find yourself leaning on things like potatoes, right? Potato chips. Potato chips. Potatoes are not leavened. So, I mean, potatoes are not bread. Potatoes are vegetable. Yeah, you think of them as like bread, but they're not. They're totally, it's totally safe. and in certain denominations of Judaism like whether you're Syrian or you know my Moroccan side they have different rules like you can have rice in some communities you can have corn we're Ashkenaz like we take it so seriously like we can't have anything and I have to look maybe I'll chat with the rabbi I need to get some sort of exemption it's so unfathomable that I would go eight days without having any carbs or bread yeah I think you're exempt yeah but you know Ben is like a little like he's like judging you know about passover yeah something about passover maybe he just like always looks forward to he's always trying to diet and like he can't but this is like from god it's divine um and he's like a little he's like well you know that soda has corn syrup in it i'm like oh fuck off yeah for real and also in lieu of bread like you can have matzah which is yeah be tasty which i think as a pregnant person it actually is like unsafe for me to eat matzah it's a real binder and I'm already like not having like the most amazing digestion and I just don't think like stocking up yes correct I don't think stocking up on matzah is like good for me or the baby and that I'm actually being serious about I think you should listen to your body and I think that's what the rabbis would say I think that's like how they talk that is how they talk coaches your body okay well I'm listening and I'm learning yeah so that starts this weekend And the seders are Saturday and Sunday night, which means no days off from work.

16:56Yeah. Such a great year. No, Passover definitely deserves hate this year. I agree. Sorry. We don't make the rules. Yeah, but I ordered some. Do you see the matzo that I ordered? I did. It actually looked delicious. I ordered like pargy candy matzo on Gold Belly from like Big Fat Cookie. And it's making me excited for Passover because I'm not eating it until Passover. So now I'm like, is it Passover yet? You have something to look forward to. I would recommend it. that's one thing you can count on the juice for like we're gonna make it fat like no matter what it is like the recipes matzah is just like it's literally a plain cracker it's i don't even know what it's made of like flour it's it's bread ingredients but it's bread that doesn't rise so one thing about us like we're gonna find a way to make it fat like the common recipes like matzah pizza matzah brine like it's chocolate covered matzah matzah crack like brittle like we make it so fat so it's like a holiday where you actually could lose weight because you're not supposed to be eating bread but we're not yeah also what's going to be hard for me is no pargy loaves no sourdough like I as much as I love eating sourdough I love making it too it's the activity yeah and just you know having a stock bread box no no no feeding my starter I gotta put that starter away yeah you do and oh my yeah this is my first Pesach as a trad wife so um it's gonna be hard has it only been less than a year since you started making sourdough I started been making sourdough in about successfully in may of last year so yeah i just feel like it's been a part of our family like since our inception no it's only been a year i'm coming up on one that's really crazy yeah happy anniversary to me happy oh wait do you know today's toast anniversary it's april 9th i meant to talk to you about that i'm sorry i meant to open the show with that oh my god so it's our seventh year wait Claudia that's insane that we have is it our seventh year yeah because last year was our big six and we made it such a big deal so it's our seventh year our eighth season but like our our eighth year if you include the breath and do we include the breath and i'm glad that we don't because like it's not ours to the i mean it's ours but like toast is comes afresh okay well happy toastiversary to you and all who celebrate oh my god how are you feeling today seven years of toast in the eighth season and the ninth season i don't know i feel like last year i was feeling like really at a glance about it yeah and this year it just feels like another day but we made such a big deal about it last year and i think maybe because we did that like i'm good for a few years i'm making things a big deal we have cute pictures we had a big party at zero bond we had like reels and tiktoks and so many like we went hard nostalgia themed episodes and now it's just going by with a with a when do you think we'll celebrate next like big party 10 of course we have to celebrate 10 also you know what they say that like you change as a person every seven years.

19:46Now, I don't know if that means you change at like one, eight, six. Right. But that means in the time that we've done this show, even if we were in the middle of our change four years, like we have changed at least once in the time that we've done this show. And I feel like that feels right. Do you? Yes. I think my change year was last year or whenever I quit the vape and got on Ozempic. Like that was the year I changed every part of who I am. Yeah. I would say like in in the last two three years since becoming a mom but also not immediately but maybe in like the year after that's when I change for the better that's beautiful I can't stop listening to Rascal Flatts and I won't why would you stop and I don't need to I haven't heard one good reason why no it's so true so yeah we're changed women and if you're still here with us from the other people that we were.

20:39We love you. And happy Toastiversary. Maybe sound off in the comments. What's been your favorite Toast moment in the last seven years? That's impossible to answer. You know that right. I know, but we are running a bracket on our Instagram right now. Hopefully you guys have been participating in our Toast madness. Having people choose their favorite Toast moments in Toast history. I believe we're down to the final two as of yesterday. And it was, Claudia, I don't think there's a 5K.

21:04and when I took off my underwear at physical therapy. Oh my gosh, it's so funny that those are top two. I know, that's what people chose. We had people submit. If you're not following us on Instagram, you're missing out on a lot of good fun and games. You guys know I love a game. Yeah, what's your favorite memory? I couldn't pick one, so don't ask me. I think any time where we've like truly just not been able to stop laughing, like a belly laugh, where the episode is like silent because we're laughing so hard, those are my favorites i don't not one specifically comes to mind but anytime we're just like cackling hags that's my favorite yeah yeah it's been an amazing seven years and i wouldn't want to do it with anybody else with anybody period yeah anybody sometimes i forget you're here just want to do it alone no if i am forced to do it with someone it could only be you which i think you are forced to do it with someone because you guys know solo podcasting is not my strength and it's it's tough for really anyone and the daily solo podcast I don't think it's ever been done me neither like even Howard Stern every day and Howard Stern has Robin and guests yeah so like if you have to have someone which you do it could only be you and I am so glad it is and I'm so glad it's you turtle loo well i feel like so sufficiently caught up i feel like we've at a glance enough for this toastiversary and that we could dive in that was nothing but okay without further ado dot do dot do about toasty loo dot do dot do here are the fast five stories that you need to know the fast five stories that you need to know are brought to you by olive ave jewelry you know we love talking about the finer things in life so let's talk about jewelry Whether you're celebrating love, friendship, a milestone, or you're just treating yourself because you deserve it, Olive Ab jewelry has you covered.

Today's episode is also brought to you by Roback. Summer's right around the corner and it's time to get ready with Roback. Throw out your crusty, dusty workout clothes and revamp your closet. Roback's active dresses and shorts are the most comfortable things ever. So I'm in my going to the bathroom era, but I know this summer I'll be wearing a lot of active dresses. We wore them literally all summer last summer.

24:27And it's such a great, cute look, like very sporty, very athletic, very put together, but like kind of easy. But going to the bathroom is such a pain in the tuchus. And I love the active dresses from Roback because they actually have shorts, built-in shorts that you can pull down without having to take the entire dress down. So no matter how many times you're going to the bathroom, you're not going to be like naked in a public restroom, like with your actual boobs hanging out. And their dresses are just really cute, really flattering. If you're going to be working out and being really active this summer, highly recommend checking out their items for training.

24:57So their shorts are so good. They're so flattering. They hit the perfect mid-rise spot and they come in so many colors. As you know, we talk about Robeck all the time. We mostly are always talking about their crew neck, hoodie, and jogger sets. They're so cute. I love a set, especially these days. It's so hard for me to put together an outfit. Rocketmoney.com slash toast. thank you slash chert it's getting harder and harder to breathe our oh my god wait i watched the voice last night oh and and it's actually crazy because i had watched the voice what was that a couple of weeks ago and i came on and said like that i found the show insufferable mostly because of michael buble and how this like kid came on and did like a frank sinatra type of and he was really good and michael buble didn't turn around because he was threatened jackie what are the odds that I turn on an episode, the exact same thing happened.

27:39And what was even weirder was that the dynamics of the coaches are very interesting. So this guy comes on. He has an amazing voice. He's doing, you know, somewhere beyond the sea. Not that song exactly, but like the vibe. And Kelsey really likes him. And Adam Levine is like, Kelsey, you should do it and block ballerini. Is he a judge? Yeah, she's a judge. Adam Levine is too. And I feel like Adam Levine hates Michael Buble because he goes to Kelsey. He's like, Kelsey, because she's going to press her button block michael buble you get one block and so kelsey was like no he's not going to choose him like they know that he's so crazy he doesn't choose him but it turns out michael buble knows this guy he follows him on social media because they're like you know he a lot of these and a lot of these shows like take from social media so they take people who have like a couple hundred thousand followers posting singing covers so this guy has like a little bit of an audience and a little bit of a career already michael buble knows him follows him and does and well he didn't know like he didn't turn for him knowing he that he knew him he said that he knew him like from his voice yeah so he turns around and he says the reason why he didn't choose him he's always coming up with fake stupid reasons the reason why he didn't choose him is because you know he's so close to the genre and he really wants people who sing the genre to be historically accurate with how they sing the songs and i guess like the frank sinatras of that time they didn't sing with vibrato so vibrato is like when you hold a note and you kind of like shake it so like somewhere thank you and i guess like the guy was doing that okay but he could just like stop doing that and so michael be like wait jackie michael like gets on stage and is like you know band pick it up and he's like and you should have done this and he start jackie like it was so how anybody doesn't see this man is such a crazy narcissist and i'm telling you adam levine and kelsey ballerini like they're picking up on it like she knew she's like i'm not gonna waste my block he doesn't choose people who actually threaten him yeah who sound like him but also if you're gonna be historically accurate and be like copy and paste of the singer from the times like an original just an impersonator then go to vegas there are a lot of people out there who are really talented and like singing like celine dion or singing like you know when they can change their voices but none of those people are famous singers because we already have Celine Dion.

29:56No they're famous impersonators. Yeah. Yeah no I completely agree and he's just like he's kind of like he gate keeps the genre. Yeah for sure. I can't stand him. Damn. Yeah hate. Well our first story is some new TV news because Bravo has announced their new show called Next Gen NYC. It will be starring Gia Judice, Riley Burris, Yes, Brooks Marks and more Gen Z's in NYC chaos. Also, Ariana Bierman will be on the show. Yes. I actually saw a cast photo and I looked at everyone. I said, oh, like Gia's random friends. How sweet. I did not notice that any one of them was also a Bravo Nepo baby. So I did because there have been rumors about this show for a while.

30:45No, I know. And I was like, there's there have been where it's like Gia and like a bunch of the Bravo kids are in the city. And I looked at the photo and I said, oh, my God, who else is it? I was like, oh, no, they just went with her random friends. But it was also confusing because half the cast is not Bravo Nepo babies. Like one Amira, this girl I like from TikTok. She's like a makeup TikToker. She's on it. So it's like a blend of Nepo Bravos, but also just like NYC people. And I have to say, like Bravo does not do a good job of casting in New York City. It's just not something they succeed at.

31:18New York is filled with interesting, wealthy people, and I feel like they're always missing the mark. So it's too soon to tell, obviously. We know what we know about Gia. I think Gia's actually a very good reality star. I think she's been making her mark on Jersey. She'll be good. I don't know that Brooks Marks has what it takes. I love Ariana Bierman. I don't know that she has what it takes either. Same with Riley. These are just kind of people who have been real background actors, and I don't know if they know how to step into the light yeah there have been rumors not rumors but just the idea floating around that like Gia could be on summer house which obviously she's not oh but like I don't I couldn't see it you know like I feel like yeah she's like but Jackie she's 21 what is she gonna be doing in a house with 47 year old Kyle Cook like that's where summer house gets weird I know like even like her is if I just maybe because we've only seen her as Teresa's daughter and we're gonna see her step out in turn I just like couldn't see her like clapping back at Lindsay Hubbard I actually could of all I think the cast in general I couldn't see any of them like really succeeding on reality TV except Gia because she has stepped into more of just like a more than a daughter role in the last couple of years she had beef with Melissa she had beef with she's had like on-camera spats like she's officially a cast member yeah so here's who's on the show Ariana Beerman she's leaving Atlanta for the first time she's got her high school boyfriend with her can she translate her peach holding sensibilities to big city life that's the other thing I think a lot of these people don't actually live in New York.

32:45As far as I know, Ariana Beerman's back in Atlanta. So it's like, it's fake too. Okay. I don't mind a little fake. That like, I can stand that. Brooks Marks, I do believe lives in New York. Riley Burris, she is determined to make it on her own in the Big Apple as an NYU graduate. So she's a New Yorker now. Wait, I heard the craziest thing about Kandi Burris. It's always so interesting to me because you forget that like beyond Housewives, she's like a deeply acclaimed music producer. do you know Othello on Broadway everyone's talking about it it's uh Denzel

Read the full transcript

33:21Candy is a producer oh wow good for her like it's her show she's just like really legit she is also Riley Burris and Ariana Bierman are childhood friends from Atlanta and from both their moms being on the show so that's a good that's some good connection then we have Ava Dash who is the daughter of music mogul Damon Dash and fashion icon Rachel Roy. Now that's actually a good casting. That is a good casting. For whatever. I don't know what the show is supposed to be. Is it just like Rich Kids in New York? Is it Bravo Next Gen? I'm not sure what it is, but if it was a Rich Kids in, like Rich Kids of Beverly Hills at New York Edition, she's a great casting.

33:54Both of her parents are really famous and really rich. I think it's about like making it in New York, whether you're already, like you come from a successful family or whatever it is, just like the grind, which I think is a good premise. if you have and all these people even we know who their parents are but like who are they they have to be interesting yeah and they have to bring it then we have amira despain she that's who i know she's a tiktoker okay she is paper magazine's beauty director now she is yeah i feel like that's like a title you know like yeah because she's like a full-time really big tiktoker okay well she also has a corporate job so that's cool wow then we have shy fruchter he's a jew he's a jew he grew up between Israel and China before finally planting roots in New Jersey for high school what yeah joining the circle of bold connected and ambitious friends might be more than he bargained for right Gia who of course we know of course yep she's on she's a young adult who has put law school on pause and is ready to explore all that New York City has to offer well I don't think she'll be going to law school after this no she also just launched a podcast so right so she's a podcaster then we have brooks marks who is a fashion entrepreneur with dreams of making it big um hudson mccleroy i think that's ariana's boyfriend oh yeah that's nice she got her boyfriend cast on the show too yeah and then charlie zocor who has been ruling the new york city club scene since he was 14 that's concerning and now has transitioned into dominating the crypto and private investment world.

35:29That's also concerning, but that's very New York. So this show comes out in June. And I think it's got a shot. Me too. I think it's better that it's not like a strictly Bravo kids show. That's what I thought. And I think that's what everyone thought it was going to be. The fact that they expanded a little bit just to be like a young New York show, kind of maybe an attempt to be what like Vanderpump Rules of the West Coast or Southern Charm. I think that's good. but I don't know why New York Bravo shows about New York like are not good. Yeah. Well nothing obviously the Real House is in New York right NYC prep the Real House is in New York reboot is not good.

36:07Summer House is not New York City proper but even like the first couple of years of Summer House like they could not figure out who the fuck to cast. Like it was just this revolving door of freaks. But also let's we not forget The City. That was a good show. That wasn't Bravo was it? No it wasn't but it was New York City Hustler. Yeah no it can be done. Making it If I can make it there, I'll make it anywhere. What network was MTV? What's his name? No, Magic Johnson's son. What's his name? EJ. EJ. And he had like this fab crew of New York, Swirlies. What was that E? It must have been a rich kid spinoff.

36:46Yeah, yeah. It didn't do well either. It's a tough city to film in, honestly. And Bling Empire NYC. only I watched that it was also a flop because I was on bed rest and I enjoyed it yeah it's it's crazy that there's not a show that captures this and like it's crazy that it's not been done successfully yeah I think it's it's hard because there's like a lot of wealth in New York and like true wealth a lot of people don't want to be on TV which is understandable um but there are like plenty of thirsty rich people and like I don't know where they are and it doesn't even have to be already rich people it could be like people in the working world yeah you know up and coming up and like just have interesting lives I I think it it should be done so I think this show this it's got the makings yeah it just I think the cast if the people are interesting and funny and witty and like and like what are they getting up to like I'm really not interested in following Gia's podcasting career.

37:46Like, if we're going to be following their jobs, like Amira, TikToker, Paper Magazine, like that's interesting to me. Yeah. Is there a big Paper Magazine event just to work the door for? Very the city, you know? Yeah. Like that's interesting, but watching somebody become a podcaster, like I'm really okay. Yeah. I can just close my eyes and do it, you know? Mm-hmm. But I'm glad that they're doing this because like for so long it's like, they should do a show with Gia and Brooks works and they're doing it. So. They're doing it. No matter how it goes, they can say they did it and they tried it's called next gen nyc which isn't what i would have titled it no it's such a bad name um i would have called it city slickers i would have called it like we're like real hustlers of new york city and then like you could franchise it yeah that's cute actually right yeah or i think a term that's not used enough yo pros young professionals that's i've never even heard of that that's an abbreviation for young professionals, which is exactly what these people are.

38:46Yo, pros of NYC? Yeah, and then franchise it. Love. Franchise. Oh, wait, speaking of New York reality stars, I know you've been following Erin Leachie's baby drama. I have been. And I want to talk about it really briefly. Okay, I haven't been following the fallout, but I saw the initial video. And then I saw she just recently talked about it on a podcast. She was asked. Basically, she's made a TikTok, and it was all in service. She has a tequila brand. So she was like promoting her brand. It was like a piece of content to like, it was like work. And it was the sound, tell a friend to tell a friend, she's back.

39:23And the whole premise is like, she's finally having a cocktail. She just had a baby. And so she's holding her like three week old baby in her left arm and making a cocktail, shaking the shaker in her right hand. And, you know, eagle eyed viewers were quick to notice like her baby's head is like falling off her. Slipping, yeah. and being and you know and the people are always critical like of how you hold your baby but the fact that she's also making a cocktail it's giving you know boozy mom neglecting the baby and her response she was asked about it she was like I saw the video and like I saw what people saw like it looks bad but like this is my fourth kid like I know how to hold my baby like I'm fine yeah and like I actually agree like the video it really looked like really bad like especially because she was making a cocktail.

40:05Yeah. But I'm sure she actually didn't even drink the cocktail. It was just for like her tequila brand. And yeah, she has four kids who all have normal necks. Like I know she's fine. Yeah, that's how I felt. So like the video looks so bad and like you're just watching that baby laying there and you're like, that's not good. But I don't even know her, but I know she knows how to hold her baby. And sometimes like the way that babies lay, like it can look bad, but you don't see some support that they have. So when I saw it, I was like, I'm giving her the benefit of the doubt that the baby is fine.

40:35I actually really do believe that like she was holding him fine. It just looked bad. But I just had an issue with the video in general. Like what are you trying to prove that you can have a cocktail a week after you give like making a TikTok viral. Sit down. Sit down. Like we like and it makes it better that's that it's in service of her tequila brand. Not just her like coming to make like a viral video saying I can have a cocktail after I give birth. at least she's like it's in service of something but I just like why why are you worried on these TikTok trends like you just had a baby like some people just do too much I did also like how she said in her explanation people being like her also addressing the fact that she didn't delete it she was like yeah I'd like I'm not if I would do something wrong I would have deleted it and I wasn't so I left it up like sure you can comment on it but I know that my baby's fine and I know I'm not like drinking and throwing the baby around like it's fine yeah so I have nothing to hide which I actually thought was a good explanation too.

41:28I think the baby is fine. I'm not genuinely worried about the baby in any way. No. I just am like there's this like idea that oh I'm gonna make like a trendy video with the alcohol and the baby. Like just it's too much. Yeah. Yeah. Just get in bed. Nest. Nest. But I think also like this is her fourth child. Like it's not as like you know. It's not as like newborn bliss. You get back to life quicker. Yeah. With like subsequent children. But to me I'm just like. it's too much sit down yeah enjoy um okay so that is next gen nyc we'll see you june 3rd maybe our next story is a little more bravo news because britney cartwright is talking to people magazine today revealing that her son cruz was diagnosed with autism six months ago she says i am his voice now she shared that cruz is autistic and non-verbal she said it might not always be that way but that's how it is right now didn't the last season of the valley her and jacks had shared some of like cruises um developments and you know things that they were worried about so this um just kind of closes the loop closes the loop and maybe she talks about it on this next season so like she just wanted to like put it out there in a formal way um that he is autistic and she's sharing like what they did when they you know he at first the story was actually really crazy that like up until he was two years old he was hitting all his benchmarks both physically and verbally some of them early words early writing early and then at some point he became non-verbal he regressed kind of regressed yeah which is so crazy yeah which is really crazy and i'm sure this was also stressful on their marriage like worrying about their child um yeah so i i just hope that they're in a better place and that they are can co-parent and I don't know I'm really excited for the valley though me too can I say something yeah and maybe I'm wrong so like I haven't fully fleshed out this thought so if you disagree with me like don't cancel me I feel like like setting up like an interview to like drop like an update on like your toddler's medical condition is just like a weird thing and I'm definitely like feeling very sensitive in my current state to like how people interact on social media with their kids whether that's posting them not posting them how much they share um because it's something I'm taking into consideration for you know I'm a social media creator and I'm you know god willing not going about to have a baby so um maybe I'm feeling like a little like judgmental of of other people's choice because I'm just like looking and taking stock of like what I think works what doesn't work and you know I just watch Ruby Frankie and like you know just noticing things um and I feel like this is like like a weird thing to do I agree with that okay yeah I don't I I agree just like to do a sit-down interview I'm sure like when you're a public person and there's things going on in your personal life eventually you just like want to share because like you feel compelled compelled to share and maybe it actually might help you to to reach other people who might be going through something similar um and like if that's what's going on in your life like you want to talk about what's going on in your life otherwise what are you talking about but I agree that like doing a sit down interview, cameras up, people magazine, photo shoot in the backyard about something to do with like your little child is a lot.

44:48And you know who I think of? I think of JWoww because I've weirdly followed JWoww on Instagram for 15 years. Like I've just been with her through it all. And I know that her older son is on the spectrum and she had shared like over the years, different things they did early intervention. And I like we happened to know like a bunch of random things and I don't know, but the way she did it like wasn't so icky. I don't know. So I feel like your child's like medical developments, like it's seriously not the business of the public. And I understand that like for some people it's their job, but like that's too bad, you know?

45:21I don't know. I just, I've been thinking about it a lot. And when I saw it, I was like, oh. I wonder what Jax thinks of it. Not that like he really has much of a say. Not that it matters, honestly. Not that like she has custody. He fucked up. Like he ruined their family. And I think she's a great mom. I'm not saying like, you know, anything negative. I just I'm definitely feeling like hypercritical of seeing how people like put with with platforms who like you know I think we're all we're all aware of like the negatives of showing your kids on social media whether it's their mental health whether it's freaks pedophiles like we know all the negatives and like to see people like consciously like still do it like I'm like yeah yeah but that's what everyone does no I know and it's so do it then don't do it yes and it's so beneficial you make so much more money your views go up like kids are just and it's like gross when you think about like how successful kids are on the internet like why it makes content better it's just weird um and so I get it but like live in a smaller house and protect your kids sorry like that's my thought yeah yeah I think people would agree with you but it is crazy how many people do it yeah and like I just watched Ruby Frankie so it's like it's really top of mind yeah I understand well are you gonna watch that at least season one I keep meaning to ask you I really think that you should season one no I'm gonna watch season two and just you'll have to answer my questions for me okay happy to you know happy to but I'm happy for Brittany because she seems like she's in a really good place and like the like things have stabilized and she's been through it and yeah and so you know whatever she's whatever she wants to do let her do yeah let her do our next story are you ready for it I don't know if you're gonna be ready for this why because keenan thompson is sharing a health diagnosis after suffering in silence for years oh no the snl star revealed that over two years ago he began this this is funny no but it reminds me of like you when you're like when people are brave and they share that they have eczema you know yeah no and my thing is like i'm tired of people acting brave sharing that they have acne like we all do but what i'm gonna say next is gonna sound like one of those things but it's actually like more serious okay but it is actually brave not brave but it's like it sounds like it was seriously pain like it's you know he was in pain he began privately suffering from painful acid reflux and it got so detrimental that it began affecting his work before he finally sought help he said i noticed that i would get hoarse a lot easier when i'm doing the show losing my voice quicker but also uncomfortable sleepless nights because i'm burping up acid Maybe he's pregnant.

47:55No. Turns out that he has GERD, which is called gastroesophageal reflux disease, a condition where stomach acid repeatedly flows back up into the esophagus and irritates its lining. He had been trying to manage the pain on his own with, like, you know, acid reflux management, but it stopped working. Tums. Acid reflux management. It's not funny. No, no, it's not funny. And honestly, like as somebody who's for the first time dealing with acid reflux, like such - Could you imagine dealing with that every single day? No. Chronically horrible. But I tell you my acid reflux, which is literally I'm experiencing for the very first time, has so negatively impacted my mental health over the last couple of months.

48:37It is horrible. It affects your sleep. It affects your ability to talk. It affects your ability to breathe. I think that this is so real. But yes, the way you said it at first, again, we all get heartburn. Move on. Yeah. But he learned that there's a real medical term for it and began making lifestyle changes and taking medicine to fight his GERD. He said he felt relief immediately. God bless. I feel great. I'm in a much healthier kind of space with my daily lifestyle and meal decision making and all that good stuff. Right. I'm in a good place. So I'm happy for him because that is really painful and uncomfortable.

49:03And I imagine that's a hard thing to like go to the doctor and be like, is this more than the average? Right. Like everyone has acid reflux, but like this feels like more than normal. Yeah. And like seriously, may this type of medical disease never find me. It's horrible. Yeah. Did you ever have acid reflux before pregnancy? Never. I didn't even know what it was. I just thought it was similar to heartburn. It's so much worse. No, it is the next phase of heartburn. It stems from heartburn, but it's crazy. It's horrible. Yeah, it really is. So I actually really am sympathetic to Keenan. You know that's my boy.

49:40Yeah, and did his Uber driver ever mention any of this? Any of this. He did say that Keenan struggles privately more than you know. and just to like go easy on him for that um but he didn't go into specifics obviously he respects the attorney client privilege yeah that's really sad yeah but i love keenan but good to know that is a thing yes i love an acronym i love an acronym that like has a vowel that so you can like say it do you know what i mean like you can't say like i guess you could say like aspca like ibs ibs Right, right. TMJ, Timaja. But when there isn't. Timaja Chalamet. Right. When you can actually say.

50:23Oh, that's like we were just talking about Remy's. Oh, yeah. That was a good one. Sadie. Sadie. The type of surgery she got was like S-A-D-E and they call it Sadie. I love. Maybe it's because, you know, I'm like I'm a very phonetic person. You love acronyms. You and your husband. We do. We love acronyms. Literally, we're having a BFL after this. A big fat lunch. Yum. Yes, because we have to go to the doctor and I can't go on an empty stomach. Are you going to go to the spot? Which spot are you referring to? The spot next to the doctor's office. No, no, I'm not. I'm kind of over that spot. Oh, you're wrong for that.

51:00No, I know. But we are having like a BFL. I love acronyms. And that's why that Jake Shea in TikTok series he does NIMMing, we're NIMMing. And he's like, IASH. I'm so hungry. Like, it's seriously me and Ben. I love it. Yeah, it really is. WHF. Work from home. HF. Work home from.

Sometimes I'm sometimes you want to swing. Sometimes I'm planning a trip with my family. We need like a big house, you know, so we have different needs for all the trips that I that I take and not to be obnoxious, but there are quite a bit.

54:15So whatever you're looking for, if you're looking for a hotel that has a lot of specifications, you'll be able to find something amazing on booking.com, whether it's beachfront, looking for an indoor pool, an outdoor pool, no matter who you are or what you're looking for, booking.com helps you find the stay that's ridiculously right for you so find exactly what you're looking for on booking.com booking.yeah have you been able to find what you're looking for at booking.com booking.yeah yeah and the answer is yeah yeah our next story I feel compelled to share it because we've taken a break from talking about the it ends with us drama right yes but I think but there also hasn't been a lot no there hasn't been a lot but constant back and forth and suits and I'm not reading all that shit.

55:00Yeah, paperwork, filings. Like TLDR. Right. But something in Blake's original complaint that really stuck with us was the birthing scene, right? I know for me that was like a big thing. And for you too. And he showed the video of his wife giving birth nude and he wanted Blake to give birth nude. And then he cast like his friend to be the OBGYN. So the friend OBGYN is speaking out. Oh, wow. And he is revealing onset details that may tear apart her nearly nude birth scene claim. Okay, having said that, not to be contrarian, but this is Justin Baldoni's friend. He's his friend, but his name is Adam Monshine and he appeared alongside Blake and it ends with us claiming that he's saying the movie star mischaracterized their scene together in her sexual harassment lawsuit against Justin Baldoni.

55:48He said, I'm not going to speculate as to Miss Lively's motivations for mentioning me in the complaint. Needless to say, my experience working with her is very different than the one that she described. Indeed, I was surprised to read her description of the scene. She alleged in her initial complaint and the amended version filed in February that she was very disturbed by many of his Baldoni's actions on set, including new scenes he chose to have in the film, such as a violative birthing scene for which he cast his friend as her OBGYN. She said he introduced his best friend to play the role of OBGYN when ordinarily a small role of this nature would be filled by a local actor.

56:24she felt that the selection of his friend for this intimate role in which the actor's face and hands were in close proximity to her nearly nude genitalia for a birth scene was invasive birth scene was invasive and humiliating that's the complaint so mon shine who is the ob gyn in the movie maintains that everything that occurred when they filmed was above board in response to her claim that she was quote nearly nude he alleges her costume included a full hospital gown black shorts and torso covering prosthetic to make her appear pregnant in addition to whatever her personal garments she chose he further claims that she never complained or expressed discomfort at any point because nothing unusual or improper occurred it was entirely professional he also says that he takes offense to her implication that he was not qualified for the role he said miss lively that's not what she said uh well that it was a friend instead of a local actor he said just that it was it was unordinary miss lively's insinuations regarding my qualifications are offensive as my bona fides are easily searchable online lastly i was in fact a local hire my wife and I are from New York and spend significant time there as such I like any actor accepting that contract was required to cover my own travel and living expenses in connection with the job that's why they would hire a local actor so he was a local actor and also a friend um in her suit she said is a chaotic crowd and utterly lacking in industry standard protections for filming nude scenes however he disputes that and said if I'm called to testify in the case I will answer truthfully and more freely whatever is asked of me with all the legal protection that affords in particular by noting that Miss Lively was not nearly nude in the scene we shot together.

57:51I just want to say, I know everybody thinks I'm like so team Blake and like unable to see. I don't agree with one thing this guy said. Like if you could go through one more time all of his points, I could dispute every single one of them. And just because he perceives, like he's not the one who's nude. So him saying it wasn't weird. Him saying like she didn't say anything so that means nothing was wrong. That's not true. She could have been uncomfortable and not said anything. Of course. Because that's like what you think you're supposed to do. Correct. But black shorts, a hospital gown, a torso covering.

58:21Okay, so by the way, I feel like that's really misleading. Because yes, so you're standing next to Blake Lively. You can't see anything. He's the doctor. He's in between her vagina. So her wearing a hospital gown doesn't mean anything. Yeah, I guess if you're wearing little black shorts and there's like a man in between your legs, that's like pretty intimate. Her torso being covered, that doesn't matter. We're talking about her vagina. Yeah, but she was also saying like a nearly, like a topless scene almost. Which is not topless. And I'm imagining the shorts to be like little biker shorts. That's how I see that.

58:49Me too. But if they're flowy or biker is important. Just want to say. Yes, it is. I have to imagine like under the gown, they would have to be biker. Yeah. I don't know. I just feel like everything he's saying is like, well, that's easy for you to say. You're not the one in the seat. Yes. But everything he's saying, I could see how that would be industry standard stuff. Like how else do you feel a birthday? And I don't agree that like him, that him being cast for the role is normal. I think it's a sort of thing where like - The director's friend? Yes, to Justin, he's a local actor. To Blake, he's Justin's friend because he is both things.

59:23He is truly both things. Right, because it was so, because it's like a sensitive scene, like just go by the book. Like it being your friend, I actually maintain that that's weird. This does take a little bit of sting out of the story though. It does. I mean, everything that she alleged the sting has been taken out. There has been like a very effective response to all of her claims. And she has not really formally responded. I don't know if she's waiting for court or whatever. But yes, everything that she alleged that when we first read, it was like, oh, the astroturfing, like all of it. It all seems to have like sort of there seems to be an answer for everything.

59:55I'm just not so easily swayed. I know people don't like my thoughts on this, but I'm just not. No, I like that you're standing your ground, whether it's you're on the right ground or not. I just want to be clear. I'm not standing my ground because I don't want to be wrong. Like sometimes like you know you have to admit like I have yet to see something like so foolproof and like I don't know if this lady's saying like this guy's freaky and I've always gotten like weird freaky vibes from him. Like you know what I'm going to believe it until I really have a reason not to. Yeah but I guess there's a difference between being like a freaky annoying guy and like sexual harassment.

1:00:24No but maybe like well I also think like the words we use for stuff like have sort of lost their meaning because I think something can be inappropriate without it being sexual harassment. and maybe like you know it's not by the book and it made her uncomfortable but is that sexual harassment I don't know yeah I don't know no I admire that you're standing your ground because I don't feel good about being so unscrupled on this you know no but and the thing is like I don't even feel a particular way like about Blake live I feel like up until this thing like I never even I definitely like my bias is that I think Justin Baldoni is freaky and I've always thought there was like something weird about him I don't like his like brand of feminism and his man bun like having a podcast like I definitely come into yeah I come into this with preconceived notions about him in a negative way but I don't like stan Blake Lively even though she's like Taylor's best friend like I've never like been a huge fan of her and Ryan a lot of bad friends she's actually bad at choosing friends like who are famous that's I would never choose the people that she chooses like so I don't know I don't even feel like this and I'm not one of these women who are like you know believe everything women say like some women lie for sure um i don't know why i'm just i haven't been moved yet and i'm open to being moved i've yet to see something like that compelling i don't know him just being like it wasn't uncomfortable how the fuck do you know you're the one with the your hands in someone's vagina like get out of here it's just not your business to decide what's comfortable and not like you can you can say facts about what she was wearing line is extremely subjective where he was like this was nobody was uncomfortable it was perfectly standard that's subjective and right that's his experience i'm happy for him that he had a good time yeah but the description of the clothes when we're told that she's like there to be nearly nude um that's that's factual it's contraction contradictory yeah so yeah i would say the sting's been taking out a bit and i maybe for you you'll have to wait and see the trial because it is hard when like some because maybe she has a perfectly like well i was wearing shorts And then you made me take them off.

1:02:21Like, you know, maybe she has something to say back to this. And that's what we'll see in a trial. But the way things come out like this very piecemeal. Yes, I am 100 % reserving judgment on this. Like, I will admit that I was wrong if I am wrong during trial. Like, I can't keep up with the court of public opinion, especially when one person is very actively like there's there is like a well thought out strategy and campaign from Justin Baldoni's team to clear his name. Whereas Blake seems to be like not responding and waiting till till trial. So I am really reserving. If I'm wrong, I will be happy to say that I was wrong.

1:02:56I want to be completely honest about that. I don't know. I don't feel like I am. But I never feel like I'm wrong, you know? As you shouldn't. Such is life as Turdy Lou. Yeah. Are you ready for our fifth and final story? Which is some sad news. So maybe I should have reordered things to not end on a sad note. But something really surprising news that I saw a few days ago is the Queen of Versailles has announced that her husband has passed away david siegel and then also to add just more tragedy her sister died three days later from a drug overdose which is just oh and she shared that the the jackie siegel um if you don't know jackie siegel you guys ain't living give jackie siegel a reality show well she had a reality show and if you haven't seen queen of versailles you absolutely have to see it and so i saw her announcement that david passed away so i went to her instagram and I forgot they're making a Broadway show of Queen of Versailles starring Kristen Chenoweth.

1:03:48And it's coming to Broadway in the fall. Tell everyone like what the documentary Queen of Versailles is about. It's really interesting. So the documentary was set to follow the Siegel family, Jackie and David Siegel, like super wealthy family that lived in Florida. They were on track to build the largest residential home in America that was modeled after Versailles. So they called her the Queen of Versailles and they were filming the building process. They have a huge family, so many kids. And the way that they live is actually not what you would expect. I think that's why they endeared so many people.

1:04:17They're not just like rich people that, you know. No, they're oddly relatable. Very relatable. They're also like hoarders. Yeah. It was just not what you would think. He was giving like TLC. And also like a loving family. And they're filming them as they're building the house in 2008. And his business is timeshares. And all of a sudden his company like goes bankrupt. Stock market. Housing market. Everything came for them. They can't complete building the house and the house just like sits there. And that's kind of how it ends. In the years since, I think he recovered his business and became wealthy again.

1:04:53And I think they might, I don't know if they live in the house now. They live in a house that's big and beautiful. I think that the property itself sold years later. I don't think that's where they ended up living once they recovered. It was very Schitt's Creek. I actually think a lot of the early seasons of Schitt's Creek was like inspired by them, at least the house. Yeah. So she shared on her Instagram a few days ago. I want to personally reach out and let you know that my husband, David Allen Siegel, passed away this morning. I was lucky enough to share 25 wonderful years with David. And together we raised eight incredible children.

1:05:24His life and legacy live on through them. Also, one of their children passed away in the years since the documentary, Victoria. Yeah. So there's been a lot of like tragedy too. And then she said three days later, she just announced that her sister died from an accidental overdose. They were also like a couple that I felt, you know, were in love. You know, I think when you see people that wealthy. Right. Like she was younger than him. I think she was like a former beauty queen. He's an older man. And you just like. She wasn't so young. She wasn't like 20, but she was like 40. And what was he like, 70?

1:05:57Maybe 60s. And so you would think like they're a certain kind of couple. Yeah. But they weren't like that. They weren't like that. They were very much in love and they had like a very sweet relationship and they were married 25 years. So like that's a big family. Why I think the documentary did so well because it was just. It was so unexpected. It was so unexpected, but they were also very relatable. And now this, which is very sad. I didn't know about all the other things like that. They had a kid who passed away and then her sister, too. That's really sad. Really sad. She's a great follow on Instagram.

1:06:30She is. you have to go see the show when it comes on Broadway in the fall. A thousand percent. It's going to be amazing. Is it a musicale? Definitely. Kristen Chenoweth. You don't cast Kristen Chenoweth to not sing. No, it's true. And if Kristen Chenoweth is cast in it, that means like Broadway bigwigs are like, it has good investors, good producers, good theater, everything. Everyone's attached. Did you see that David Foster has a new show on Broadway? He did the music for a show called Boop about Betty Boop. That sounds like April Fool's, but it's not. Broadway's really having a moment. So everyone's talking about Othello.

1:06:59and like I feel like it's having a moment across like a multitude of plays so Othello with Denzel Washington yeah Sunset Boulevard Jonathan Groff is in a new show that everyone's talking about he's playing Bobby Darin so it's all like old school music very Michael Buble like um and Gracie Lawrence the girl who replaced Renee Rapp in Sex Lives is in it too. Oh, cool. Then there was just a new show. Everyone was there. Did you see Kaya Gerber on Broadway? Yes, I did. What show was that? Good Day. It was called. I'll look. Oh, George Clooney's in it. That's why. That's why they went. The show is called.

1:07:46Good Night and Good Luck. Good Night and Good Luck. J-Lo went to the premiere. Uma Thurman. Everyone was there. everyone was there Broadway definitely is having a moment I used to hate Broadway shows like I I just never wanted to ever go to one but now I want to go see some shows not even because they're having a moment I just feel like I've changed because it's been seven years and now I like shows well I've changed but Broadway remains the same I hate Broadway shows I think we should go see a great one you know who else was at the premiere your favorite one of your favorite actors i could give you one million guesses and you would never guess who richard kind i fucking love richard kind i'm i'm shocked that you know him by name i only know him of course i do he's from curb yeah but he was also in that show amazon prime show red oaks that we loved they need to bring that show back he's been in everything like i he's a true working actor he probably goes to the grocery store he's totally fine maybe some people ask him for pictures It depends which store.

1:08:43Like if he goes to Barney Greengrass. If he goes to like, yeah, Al's Daily. Zabar's. You can't walk into Zabar's. No, no. He's like a Jewish king, but he's so classic. So classic. So maybe you should, well, you'll see Queen of Versailles. You will? Yeah, that I would see. Yeah, to report back. You saw Funny Girl recently. You liked that? I did. That is the last Broadway show that I saw. The last one I saw was Gazillion Bubbles. It actually wasn't on Broadway. was off eighth so but it was like times square-y no actually it really wasn't it was hell's kitchen that's e that's also a big broadway show alicia key's music is um in a show called hell's kitchen yeah probably definitely having like a revival happy for them because they had they suffered during covid hit hard that was bad for broadway yeah it's bad for everyone yeah that's our show you guys.

1:09:37I'm so hungry. Time for my BFL. Once you said BFL, like, oh my god, my stomach. The show ended. The show as we knew it ended. That's a show killer. A thousand percent. Like, I'm so hungry.
