0:20I sound amazing. Welcome back to the Toast and happy Thursday. Yeah, okay. Things we did, made it to the latter half of the week. Like, not a big deal. Latter half energy. Happy Thursday to you. Happy Thursdays. It's a beautiful dairy of Thursdays. It's Gorgina Vagina Plastina Vagina Plasti here in NYC. A nice warm, sunny day. Ooh, parjlish. I mean, it's always sunny in Florida. but um oh I actually heard found some goss out this morning that I've been meaning to text you you have hot goss for me I do let me text it to you you're not gonna believe me is it about like people we know like personally it's about a celebrity and you don't want to share it like hold on oh I'm excited I'm so sorry to start the show like this no it's okay don't ever apologize for having a hot goss look what i just sent you oh like someone that i know saw him look so yeah a big celebrity is thinking about moving to florida that was yeah someone saw him looking and i feel like it could move the needle for you to move here 1000 percent

1:39um i heard he's moving down here for the golf which actually is a great segue because i've and watching Full Swing. I heard you've been watching Full Swing and I so crazy said to Ben, like how good of a wife am I? Jackie's watching Full Swing. She says you, you will love it. Let's watch it. And that's me being generous. Like that's a show about your fucking interests. No. What did he say? Well, first of all, we're watching Parenthood. I hate it so much and he loves it. So he thinks I'm just like trying to get him off of, he thinks I'm trying to get him off of Parenthood, which I am, but like I think this is an even better option.

2:11And he was like, no, we started it once. You didn't like it. oh okay gaslight me straight to my fucking face I've never seen the show oh interesting well the way that they do it is interesting because like every episode follows a different player or two and like so we get to know this person in the next episode it's someone else that we have to meet but it's a nice way to get to know like the big names um I think I'm watching 2022 so like this is all new for me like I don't know who wins the masters in 2022 and the PGA tour and golf has never made sense to me like in terms of the game itself car birdie oh i'm familiar now i'm understanding the game of golf but i'm also understanding how the sport works in terms of like the pga tour and then the what are they called the big do they talk about live golf yes so that this season is like when live golf is having their first event it's like who's going to take the money the questions that they're asking these players at the press conferences like are crazy like might as well they might as well be like would you behead someone and drag them through the street like would you write when the live golf drama was happening in real time like it was all my husband spoke about so i'm pretty well versed on it and it was really crazy but ben was like fuck it like take the money like why should everyone be so beholden to pga and they're like crazy rules whereas like there could be other leagues like why can't we all play in different leagues yeah but then it's just like where's the money coming from like you're kind of well of course washing human rights violations of saudi arabia which is a lot to put on phil mickelson you know right right Phil Mickelson specifically and I think that's why this particular masters was sort of kind of crazy because Bryson is one of the like guys who went to live and like took the money so at the time they're like if people go to live they will be banned from the PGA tour yes does that still hold no because the way I feel about live now is like everybody does live like uh it's not controversial it was really controversial but like I feel like so many people have endorsed it and it's not like a stain on anyone's record and so the people who play live can also do the pga tour and there's just like now more money for everyone now okay okay yeah no it's definitely a crazy thing that happened and the fact no like pga just like was the only game in town and like somebody else like decided to like do stuff and they were being like weenies about it except like masters and u.s open are not pga no it's all a part of the pga like pga is like the whole league it's like the nba but they have a tour a pga tour where they have like waste management every weekend is yeah yeah yeah uh every night a different town she follows me around you might be asking too many questions now like but what are the four biggies called when you win all four like rory did what are yeah what's the name of what are the four big golf tournaments no i know it's u.s open masters and two others masters pga championship u.s open and the Open Championship, which is often called the British Open.

4:59Okay, but those four are called... I thought I knew so much. And what are those four events called? Not Masters. Majors. Those are the majors. Men's Major Golf Championship. Those are the majors. So I feel like the three majors that are in PGA Championship, the live players could have played even if they weren't on the PGA Tour. Like they could have still played the Masters. It's its own thing. The Masters isn't a part of PGA? I don't think so. Okay, let me see. Hold on. Let me get back. Let me get back to my. Are all four of the major golf championships PGA events? Question mark? Great question.

5:37Does Chachi B.T. ever say that? Great question. Not exactly. While all four are a part of the PGA Tour schedule, not all of them are run by the PGA Tour of America. So the Masters is run by Augusta National Golf Club. Like, yeah, we know that. PGA Championship is run by the PGA. US Open is run by the USGA and the Open is run by the RNA. But they are all a part of the PGA Tour. So yes, they are PGA. Oh, okay. And I know this is frustrating for those of you who know golf, but I want to say like a majority of our listeners don't understand golf. Like we, like laymen, they're like laymen like us. And I feel like all of us starting to understand this together.

6:12Like it will bring together husbands and wives. And that's what we do at the Toast. Even though I hate that we're like, we're meeting them where they are, you know? Of course. I don't see them taking an interest in Molly May's vlogs. In Summer House. Yeah, like, actually. My husband loves Bravo. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Sorry. I take that back. He, like, gets mad when I watch without him. I hate to concede. I do hate to concede, but I really am finding pleasure in the sport of golf. And also, like, I do live in Florida. And maybe my sons will take it up. And I should know what a bogey is, if that's the case.

6:441 ,000%. Like, do I cheer for a bogey or do I cheer for a birdie? You cheer for a birdie. I know. Eh. Eh. Eh. And you really cheer for a double birdie. Whip them titties out. Say, yeah, double birdie. Yeah, for sure. That's what I do. But it's all great. And I'm really enjoying it. And you should definitely watch. And maybe we could sync up so that I'm not recapping it. And then you're recapping it a month later. Talk to Ben. Seriously, talk to Ben. I will talk to Ben. So insane. And even today, I woke up in a really bad mood. I didn't sleep good. And he was like, you want me to walk you to work?

7:20I was like, you know what? Yeah, I found I find my two block walk to work becoming longer each day. Like I just can't do it. It's time for me to start working from home. And so he gets to the door and he forgets something and he's walking back in. And I said, fuck it, I'm leaving. And I get in the elevator and I'm like halfway through my walk when I hear Ben sprinting down the street. I'm like, honestly, he's so sweet. Like I left and he still wanted to walk me to work. And he's like big shopping bag with him. And I'm like, are you going somewhere? He's like, no, yesterday you told me you didn't have any spritz cans at your studio.

7:53I'm like, oh, so you don't want to walk me to work. You wanted to be the messenger delivering your Spritz Society cans. Spritz Society, available everywhere. Yeah, they actually are today's lead sponsor. We'll get into it a little bit later. That's exciting. It's so funny that you have no cans in your huge studio when I am seriously in a box and I have probably 12 boxes of spritz in here from the years. And that's just your sweeper like nature because you would never stand for what I've put up with. But I have so much spritz in here and I need to take a page out of your book. You need a little bit more of my sweeper energy and I need a little bit more of your, it's going to be okay, energy.

8:32No, because I don't want to start collecting things, but like it is okay to have stuff. Yeah, it is. I feel like you're going to see that when you have a baby. And so I'm not going to push you on it. I'm just going to let nature run its course. Speaking of having a baby, I'm going to the doctor. I feel really stupid because I think, like, I actually, I don't even know. I just feel like the baby has slipped. Like, I just feel it. Like, maybe because I want the baby to have slipped. No, but it's not even that. I just want it. So I feel like if I want it, it'll be. That's called manifesting. You manifested it.

9:03So I told Dr. Fox, I'm like, I think the baby's flipped. He's like, oh, great. We'll find out your next sonogram. And I said, yeah, about that. I'm not going to be able to wait that long. Because I'm, like, running around town doing moxibustion, doing physical therapy, doing acupuncture. You're like, I just kind of need to know if it's working because I can stop if it is. So I'll be going in today. So tune in to tomorrow's episode to find out if Tordy's Baby is Flipped. And are you feeling kicks in different places? Yes, but I'm not feeling kicks. That's the thing. I'm feeling like sweeping movements.

9:29Do you know what I mean? Like I know a kick. So you're feeling flips. Flips. Is that what it is? I mean, that's sweeping movements? No, and it's like huge, like waves of movement. Like a tumble. Yeah. And it's not like people are like, well, are you feeling kicks or punches? I'm like, well, I'm not feeling either. I'm feeling like there's something like a rodent in my stomach, like crawling around. That's what it feels like. Lolz. And if I read one more fucking Reddit, I need to stop. But I'm always just like searching. How will I know if my baby is flipped? Everybody has different experience.

9:59Someone was like, I had no idea. And then someone was like, oh, my God, I was cooking dinner. And I felt like I gave birth. So I can't. There's such not reliable information out there. Yes. And at a certain point, you have to set it all down. I do. I do. I'm depressed. Yeah, I do. I do. That's what I did yesterday. I went to the nail salon for four hours. I now realize, I now realize like why my whole life, like every time I go to a nail salon, there's like five pregnant women there, you know? What else is there to do? Everyone's laying their feet rubbed. Hoping that they like hit that ankle button, that would put them into labor.

10:32Literally. Sometimes like you're so uncomfortable, the only thing you can do is get a pedicure. Do you know what I mean? Yeah. And I just like let this woman, I let her take care of me for hours. I kept adding things. So I got a pedicure and then of course I had to do a leg and a foot rub and I fell asleep in the chair. It was amazing. And then I went for an actual manicure. So I got my manicure and then it just didn't feel like enough. So I had her rub my back. I was there for literally the entire afternoon and had an amazing time. That's so great. You should go to like a spa. No, I know. But like something about the casual nature of.

11:02It's noncommittal. I have to take my pants off. Like it's except I actually saw the craziest thing. This guy comes in with a stroller like can get a newborn. And I thought that's nice. He's taking care. and he's like, I want to get my back rubbed. And I'm like, but you have a baby with you, like an actual baby. Like you can't get your back rubbed. And he was like, yeah, he literally, this is something only a man could do. He like was moving furniture in the nail salon. He's like, put me in this chair. I have to give this baby a bottle, but I want my neck and my back rubbed. They got a stepstool for the masseuse.

11:28Like they rearranged the entire salon for this man to give his baby a bottle while also getting his neck rubbed for an hour. Like he was sitting in the middle of the salon. I actually really respected it and I could see that being Ben as a father because Ben loves getting his back rubbed. But it's just something like a woman would never do. It's like, oh, well, I can't get a massage. I have to feed my baby. Right. Well, take notes. Take up space. Jackie, he was taking up a lot of space, like moving everything around. Yes. Yeah. And he's watching the baby. Mom's got a break. Yeah, no, it was very inspiring.

11:58I thought he was going to like leave the baby in the stroller and like hold on to the stroller while he sits in the chair. That's what I was thinking. That's not the greatest. I like what he did. No, especially because if the baby cries, you're going to have to get up out of that chair. Yeah. And also you don't have eyes on the baby. No. So he sat in a regular chair. Baby was in his arms with a bottle. And this lady was like seriously towering over him on a ladder. Rubbing his back. Pardilish. It was so smart. Yeah. You should have taken a picture for Ben. I know. I meant to tell him. But I didn't want to give him any ideas.

12:25Because like literally I would never see him. He would be at the salon the entire time. With the baby? Yeah. Babysitting? Thumbs up. How are the stories today? Oh. You know what? They're like RBG. For sure RBG. But like came together actually really quickly. so it's the stories you know rbg random but good yeah you knew that we watched summer house right we did watch summer house which i look forward to recapping me too i actually have some very strong feelings about two characters in particular who guess what happened jesse solomon yes always he elicits a lot of strong feelings for me like really really positive like men she warmed like Like, I love this man.

13:04And then really, really negative. Deep hatred. Love bombing. Yeah. Toxic male. Like, grow up. Yeah. He's my number one for sure. Okay. Number two. Sierra. Yes. I just know my coach. You do. And we also talked about Summer House. A little bit last week. We were texting. Yeah. Okay. So that's why. But yeah, no, you knew. You knew. No, but we didn't talk about Jessie. So that. No, you knew. You knew. Yeah, it's true. Well, I look forward to recapping that. Same. And I think we can get into the stories, right? Me too. I think it's totally harmless to do so. I can see my clock now. Oh, good. Okay, so we're staying on pace today.

13:42Except the thing is, if I hadn't seen my clock, I would have assumed that we've been really short in the pre-Fast 5 banter. Right. And I would have kept going. And then we would have had like a really parchy long banter. And that's how you guys have been getting those Nalafis because I've been flying blind here. No, and I love the Nalafis, but I have to say like I know my body. and like at some point I crap out and like I want to be able to, like how I couldn't finish your toasters, like I want to be able to finish the episode. So you have in your clock just keeping us, you know, we're not doing short episodes.

14:07No, get used to some Neroffies. Yesterday was an hour 20. You're not going to see those types of numbers up there again. It's just hard for me to like sit in one position and like be normal for that long. So I just want to, I'm going to get through everything. I'm not rushing, but just, you know, I can't be making a whole day of it. I understand. I understand. Neroffy. Regular. Neroff. Regular but longer than average. Longer than the others. Right. Nice regular but longer than average episode. What is that? Oh, God. I'll write it down. Hold on. Oh, no, it's one. Neuroff. Nice regular one. My brain is broken.

14:45Nice regular one longer than the average. Nerlotta. Nerlotta, that sounds like a medication. Nertek, OTD. This show is a medication. So, Nerlata. I got a heartache medication. Okay, sorry. It's actually Neralta, which really sounds like a medication. Claudia, we are giving you a dose of Neralta today. It cures depression, anxiety, boredom, anger. And we don't have the side effects that all these other drugs have, like, suicidal thoughts. Like, no. No. Joy. Joy. Like, period. Period. Period. Okay, well, let's get into the nerlata and give you a dose of nerlata this morning in the Fast Five Stories that you do need to know.

18:29Today's episode is also brought to you by Prolon. Do we love to go out with our friends? Yes. Does all that eating and drinking take a toll on your body? Yes. So when our body needs a reset, Prolon's five-day fasting, mimicking diet always delivers. Now they've upped their game with NextGen, packing the same science-backed benefits into cleaner, more convenient, and tastier formats. So Prolon is a plant-based nutrition program that features soups, snacks, and beverages. And they're all designed to nourish your body while keeping your body in a state of fasting, which can trigger cellular rejuvenation and renewal.

19:00We all know, like, the benefits of fasting. I feel like everybody's always talking about it, but the problem with fasting is, like, you have to fast. Right. And it's hard. Like the whole not eating, not drinking anything. Like it's just not, it's not the vibe. So Prolon is like kind of brilliant because they're a nutrition program that literally lets you eat. Like you're having snacks, soups, but it tricks your body into thinking that it's fasting. So you're getting all the benefits of fasting without the actual fasting. And NextGen builds on their original Prolon program with 100 % organic soups, teas, a richer taste, and ready to eat meals.

19:28It's developed over decades at USC's Longevity Institute and backed by top US medical centers. 20:55I think it's, oh my God. I think it's a good selection. I think it, the thing is, I know Nate Bargatze, like, culturally. Like, I've never heard this man stand up, I think. But he comes from, like, he's like the elk of, like, a digital podcaster. He got his real cult-like fan base from the internet. Podcast or you mean comedian? Comedian, excuse me. But he, like, hangs out with all those podcaster comedians. Yeah, he's one of them. I loop him in with them and I'm always saying. I loop him in with Shane Gillis. Yeah, and I'm always saying like you should choose those guys. And it's mostly guys for these gigs.

21:29So I really like this, even though like you, I never heard a joke of his. Like his reputation precedes him. I do know that like a fun fact about him is that he's a bit of a clean comic. Like he doesn't even curse. So that will be interesting because I don't think that's usually the elk of hosts. Even though I think most recently like Conan, who's not clean, but a little bit more family friendly. I feel like that really didn't help him. What did he host? The Oscars, right? Right. But I think Nate can do it. Like every time Nate does something and gets selected for like something big, people are so excited about it.

22:06Like he hosted SNL and I think he's about to host again. His fans are freaking like everyone loves it. So I think this is actually a very good choice. And it's out of the Jimmy, Jimmy, Jimmy category. Yeah, he had Nate Bargayt's Nashville Christmas on CBS. Oh, cute. Which sounds like a good idea. I think it went well. From the Grand Ole Opry. That sounds fun. Yeah. I think this is a really good choice. And a safe bet. And hopefully opens the door for more funny comedians to host award shows. Agreed. And funny comedians who are the elk of, you know, internet folk. Even though he's not really internet-y.

22:38The elk of renegades. Yes. I loop him in with that group of man. Group of man. Like he might be in the group chat that Andrew Schultz was telling us about, you know? Yeah. He might be. but like who is this guy let's get real i know does he even have a podcast like does he like i'm going to look like i've heard his name before but why hasn't his comedy reached me whatsoever oh yeah he does have a podcast it's called nate land they released an episode one day ago so um okay i've not heard of it me neither i don't think his podcast is actually very big yeah but it's always fun to have a podcast like if you're a funny person and it's a it's low lift if you have stuff to say agreed no i think that um he's digital like I like saying his name.

23:22Nate Bargatesy. Bargatesy. And it looks like something I wouldn't be able to pronounce, but like I crush it. We think. Like if I hadn't heard it. No, I like heard people say his name because I don't even know how I would pronounce that. His stand-up specials are really popular. That's what I think catapulted him to like another tier. His last couple of ones have all been on Netflix and they've been like enormously popular. Great. And I think you would love it. Congrats, Nate. Congrats, Nate. you did it. Congrats grads. Even though this is like a job that I think people like you obviously want to book it.

23:55It's a huge opportunity but when it comes to like actually doing it it's like ugh. Yeah. But it's a major step. Huge huge huge. Maybe it'll be so big we'll find out like who he is you know. See his chops. I don't typically watch the Emmys just because during the summer I just am not turning on the award shows. It depends where I am like physically emotionally mentally and that day. I don't really watch a lot of the television. Like I don't really watch a lot of this stuff. I feel like the TV shows come and go. Give me a date. Let me see where I'm going to be in my life. Oh, you said summer. That's still summer for six more days.

24:31Okay, September 14th. Like it's after Labor Day. We're all back at work. Like I might watch it. Okay. I thought you were saying like June. Oh, you think summer is June. You said early summer. I didn't say early. It also reminded me that we spent last summer watching the Olympics and how much fun that was and that we're not going to have that this summer. Not to be like negative. Just it reminded me. We'll have something. Yeah. We need to make something our thing this summer. Yeah. We'll probably watch a lot of TV because we'll just be like unemployed. Literally maternity breaks. Do you watch a lot of TV on maternity leave?

25:05Yes. You'll get in like you have to find like your show, like your postpartum show. Well, I'm really struggling finding like a show now. So I'm worried. No, it's better postpartum because like you need something like more mindless. Like right now you're really looking for great content. But then like, I mean, it's time to watch Molly Mae and Tommy on Love Island. Oh, wow. That was like the best experience for me. Like you need someone with a lot of hours. Oh, you're going to log a lot of hours. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. Are you ready for our next story? A little more TV news because Jimmy Fallon and Bose are teaming up to find the next big Big Idea on a New Reality Show.

25:44So Jimmy Fallon and Real House as a Beverly Hills star, Bo's St. John are coming together to find the next big idea on the new reality competition series On Brand with Jimmy Fallon. So NBC announced that the new show has been officially greenlit and will follow Jimmy as he starts a premier marketing agency and fills it with the most creative, clear, and competitive go-getters he can find. He said, I love branding. I love marketing. I love the world of advertising. I think there are a lot of people out there who do as well. This show lets the audience and our contestants get a peek behind the curtain of how campaigns for some of the biggest brands come together and what goes into making them.

Read the full transcript

26:15It's exciting. Wait, that actually sounds like a really cute concept for a show. It's giving like House of DVF or whatever. But like House of Jimmy? No, but I guess they're going to be working for different brands. Like they get a campaign for, you know. I like this idea for a show. I don't understand how Jimmy Fallon like applies here aside from the fact that he has a love of marketing. Yeah, who doesn't have a love of marketing? Like Bose? Yeah, I guess. Well, Bose is like a seasoned businesswoman. So she's going to be the agency's chief marketing officer. She will mentor the creatives and evaluate their work, which is great because she has an extensive history as a CMO.

26:52Yeah. She's Tim Gunn, right? And she's TV gold. No, I love her getting opportunities. I'm obsessed with her all the roles. But in terms of the framework of this show, I see her very much as a neutral sort of, kind of almost like, no, well, RuPaul's like a judge. Like a Tim Gunn. Yeah, the mentor. Yeah, the mentor. Very Patricia Altshul. Patricia Altshul. Yeah. I hear you and I concur like what Jimmy's role on the show is and his connection to marketing. But maybe it's just a gig, you know? Yeah. Each episode will see the agency creatives work with a major brand in need of big ideas for a massive high priority campaign from creating earworm jingles and unbelievable activations to producing the most quotable commercials and much have merchandise.

27:34Yeah, this sounds like a good show. It does sound exactly like Project Runway. Or like a little bit like The Apprentice. Are the people... Yeah, of course, when I heard jingle, I'm thinking of Joe. Yeah. Splat. Are the contestants, like, just, like, marketers? I think they are professional marketers. Olivia should apply. By the way, Olivia should apply? Girlboss Town should apply? Of course, but I feel like she wouldn't be a contestant. Like... Why? Like, she would crush. She would win. Unless all of the contestants, like, are the elk of Girlboss. Right, right, right. Are they entry-level? Like, who are these people?

28:07people with a passion for marketing who maybe haven't had their big break yet hmm that's very niche no but i'm glad because like everybody does marketing it's like never been like the sexiest they've never had their moment like yeah and people who do marketing like maybe like your parents don't understand what you're doing like now they can watch the show and see the talent for for girls who work in marketing what nobody wants this was for girls who podcast it is true and it's gonna be like the next madman i think wow okay really putting a spotlight what platform the import of the advertising agency peacock well it's nbc so peacock probably nbc oh oh wow a big cable show right some of the brands that will be featured include captain morgan duncan kitchen aid marshalls pillsbury no so let me tell you the show itself I would be a great contestant for this show.

29:02No, and the show itself is kind of brilliant because. Yeah, actually, I don't agree with that. You don't think I would be so good on this show? I have so many great ideas for marketing and jingles. Like, I just, I'm always. Really? I don't know that about you. Like, what are you talking about? What do you mean? Like, I have ideas up the wazoo. Yeah, about like campaigns? For sure. I could direct it towards campaigns. okay well you haven't in the past like why would i think that we don't do campaigns well maybe we should like in my previous jobs that i held like i was a marketer a social media marketer a social media marketer yeah i you know what else would be good for this okay fine you don't think i would be good for it just say it i don't think you would be bad at it i think if you were put in this show like you would rise to the occasion but i wouldn't think of you as like oh jackie has to go on the show but like kitchenaid is coming and like we need to create like a campaign and images and a commercial and who's that going to be the like I would be amazing.

30:05Yeah, because you just chose the brand that like you use and align with the most like Jackie Duncan. I can do Duncan. I love their breakfast wraps. I would put a spotlight on the breakfast wraps because I think they're underrated. And I would do a campaign revenue stream for them. I would do a campaign to bring back their chocolate chip cookies. Oh, for damn sure. You know who else would be good for this show? but feel free to disagree with me again. My husband. Okay. Your husband should apply for this show. He would be the perfect type of person for this show. So when I say that, when I think of a type of person, yes, your husband would be good.

30:41I don't think of you. I think of your husband. But if you were cast on the show, I don't think you would be the first out. I think you would make it quite far. Thank you. Yeah, maybe I wouldn't be the winner. You would rise to the occasion. I could hold my own here. Your husband literally should apply for this show. It's so him. He has so many great ideas. And he's the ideas guy. He's jingling all the way home. Jingle all the way. I love that. Well, I would watch this show. I kind of would, too. It is giving the big shot with Bethany. Agreed. It is. People just like, you're not winning. America's Next Top Model, you're going to become famous.

31:16If you win this competition, all you get is a job. Yeah, that's true. But it does really, the template is more so like The Apprentice, which is also what Bethany's was. And that was the biggest show on TV. people like and it was a really good show so i think there's we need more of that agreed and bringing bows in is sort of icing on the cake inspired inspired yeah so oh i'm sorry and what i was gonna say is the show in and of itself i'm so down the show in and of itself is quite brilliant because them having brands come on every episode the brand has to pay to be featured as the lead whatever um so the show in and of itself is successful before it even if nobody watches it the show is successful yeah but also the person who wins could maybe like get money to like start their own shop agency yeah and then whoever watched the show like if i saw if the person who won like was amazing and we ever needed a marketing agency like i would reach out to that person yes you know what because i often wonder i only ever watched celebrity apprentice obviously because i'm normal um and i only watched a season with joan rivers because i'm also normal but i know that there was a show with regular actual successful business people juliana rancic yeah bill rancic juliana rancic's husband is like one of the most well-known winners and he went on to do you know they're very successful um but like at what business but what kind of business you win right that's what the show should be called but on brand is good yeah on brand is on brand but it should have been what kind of business y 'all in marketing okay sure i like this show a lot and i probably would have clowned on it before they said bose was involved yeah but now i'm like it's amazing yeah agreed it should have been don draper thousand percent john ham should host it i feel like he's showing up for everything these days like i agree and he's kind of giving like don draper he's no he's giving like a little overexposed yeah he's doing too much but he's really goofy and proud but when you're don draper like he's ruining the mystique of don draper i know he's like doing too many projects like land man that apple tv show and he's also like the reverend from kimmy schmidt yeah he's just like doing too much our next maybe he has like a like he lives an expensive life you know like he just needs to keep working maybe he's like a lot of kids or something yeah he's got expensive hobbies correct maybe collects birken bags Maybe.

33:38Our next story, Haley Seinfeld, is opening up about why she made the difficult decision to take a break from music. I know this is what everyone wants to say. Just to be clear, Haley Steinfeld. Haley Steinfeld, yeah. She's not related to Jerry. Drop the tea. Okay. Haley is dipping her toes back into the music world and opening up about why she left in the first place. And left us seriously gagged wanting more. Yeah. she stars in the upcoming action thriller Sinners and she also sang a song for its soundtrack called Dangerous and it marks her first release since 2023 and she's excited about it to say the least she said I had taken a break from music which was a very difficult decision to make but I wanted to focus on my acting and I was happy to be doing that it goes without saying but music is a love of mine and a huge passion and something that has played a very strong role in my life in many more ways than one and having had the opportunity to make music through the years of my own is something I will never take for granted yeah like she is the definition of a multi-hyphenate she's like so good at everything that she just had to choose one and she chose acting which I understand but like she was an amazing pop star she was well on her way to becoming huge she was opening now obviously opening for Katy Perry doesn't mean as much now as it was once did but on the prism world tour like it was huge yeah or maybe it was wonder no it was prism um and like she was global she was really on her way like when you think of how short-lived her music career was but how many hits she had like it's actually really impressive yeah definitely so but she chose acting she must have liked it like a little bit more and she's great at it too yeah and she's been acting since she was eight true grit that's her thing yeah she came on the scene being like that young swirly at the oscars right and if she was being a pop star like maybe the day that she met josh allen in her pop star parallel life like she would have been out of town that day and not met josh allen so i would say like all of her decisions have been the right ones because they led her to this place in her life it's the butterfly effect like if you had continued being a pop star like what would we make of josh allen josh allen might be elsewhere and not with hayley and maybe she'd be the next josh allen could be dead she maybe she'd be the next sabrina but then she's dating barry keoghan It's not the same thing.

35:51No, it's not. So close. I think she's made the right decision for Haley Self, even though like we suffer. We suffered at the time, especially because. What do you think is Haley Seinfeld's best song? I love May. OK, the song Love Myself by Haley Seinfeld is one of the best pop songs of the last century. But just don't listen to the lyrics too close because you'll realize it's a song about masturbation. It's double entendre. So like on the surface, it's just about loving yourself. Okay. She has so many. Ready? I didn't know that I was starving till I tasted you. Okay. In capital letters. Oh, that's really good.

36:34Let me go with a less so. I mean, like I know it, but it's not coming to mind. Oh, classic. In the ways I couldn't. Okay. Love myself. Oh, Jackie. Most girls are smart and strong and beautiful. Coast with Anderson.Paak. That's the new one. Interesting. No, and Dangerous from Sinners. Got it, got it. Rock Bottom. Now we're getting to songs that don't have all. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But. But. Don't forget Pitch Perfect. A discography she can and should be proud of. Well, Pitch Perfect was like a perfect blend of her two loves. A blockbuster hit. And dancing and singing. And singing. So maybe the lesson here is we need to pitch perfect for.

37:25Maybe the lesson here is trust Haley. Trust Haley. I agree. And I do trust Haley. I'm not even mad at her, like in the way that people are mad at Rihanna for choosing makeup over music. Yeah. I'm just sort of sad for myself. Yeah, same. But the girlies have stepped it up in her absence. Oh my God. We are fed. We are fed. We're fine. So as long as Haley's happy, I'm happy. and I want her to know like when she does want to come back in any capacity like I'm sad I'm ready I will support from the new action thriller Sinners that's also a great way to blend your two loves like accept roles where they let you write original music for the soundtrack I love that she should be in Hunger Games like the Hunger Games soundtrack is always like a big thing yeah you see the new Hunger Games no but it's so true you and I will be safe and sound what about Are you, are you?

38:19Oh, are you? Coming to the tree. The tree. They hung up a man. And then Olivia Rodrigo just had a big song. Strange things have happened. That's so creepy. No stranger would it be. That song was a cultural reset. That song was on par with. Uh-huh. I got my ticket for the long way round. nobody was more influenced nobody was more influenced by that than us like oh my god we were slapping those cups all fucking day long and the fun thing was like we already knew the cup melody because if you went to camp you knew that cup little jingle but everybody thought it was like original to Anna Kendrick no no bitch we were doing that at camp like everybody knew red solo cup flip it over like please are you are you

39:22I'm crying here I don't know why strange things have happened no it's so fucking good DJ Earworm could never would never I dare him actually I just lost all my stories from the banging that's good from the banging on the iPad no I found it to Hailey Steinfeld Queenie Lish Queenie Lish She'll be my Queenie of the Week. Do you think they're able to originate, like, who came up with that cup beat thing? No. Do they have to pay someone? No, that's, like... Folklore. Folklore. And not the Taylor Swift dance. I mean, the original definition of the word. Yeah. Yeah. Well, actually, I don't know if you saw the girl who invented the Apple dance.

40:01So I guess she copyrighted her dance, which she should, like... Okay. And Charlie XDS is doing something with Fortnite, and Fortnite was working with her to license the dance. and like they didn't come to an agreement or whatever, and then they just used the dance. So she's suing them now. Interesting. That's nice if like she's going to get paid by Fortnite. But like what does it mean for the regular person? Do you know what I mean? Like so if you want to do the dance on TikTok, like and it's copyrighted, what does that mean? So I happen to see her all over my TikTok, and she's very like, she has her armpits grown out.

40:32Like she's very hippie. So she's not suing any individual. Like that's not her. But then like people found out she's like low-key really rich. Her family has like this huge house in Hawaii, but she's like all about like she's she's a kind of like a communist you know like uh yeah and everybody's she's like taking a vlog like going to hawaii and people like wait why are you in hawaii because you know you're not supposed to visit hawaii if you're not from hawaii it's like bad um well she's like well me and my family have a house here so like we're not so we're from you know right right and then they were like wait your family has a house here and then people found out she's like really rich damn excuse me which makes sense as to why she was able to like secure legal lawyer up lawyer up copyrights to fortnight but she's always remember when they nominated her for a VMA and didn't invite her.

41:12And she's like always making news. She's like, she demands respect for creating this dance. And I actually really respect it. By the way, like, no, I don't know any of these things. We talked about it on the toast. Yes, we did. People make dances every day on the talk? Yes, but hers went super viral and she got nominated for a VMA, her dance. It was like best dance. They came up with like some category. And they didn't even invite her. Well, I saw Kylie learning it at Coachella. Did you see that? She's so funny. Of course I did. She almost flashed her titties. By Gabriette. and Alex Kosani fashion girlies I know Gabriette oh I know Alex don't push me I know Gabriette of course as it pertains to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills of it all because she looks like Amelia well they say Amelia actually looks like Gabriette and that like Amelia copies everything Gabriette does but then Amelia and Gabriette just did a campaign together it was kind of like a for Fendi you know it was I forget what it was for but it was very much like you know calling off the dogs like we are good well is it one of those campaigns where they have their heads to heads and they look like that was Fendi that did that they did with Nara Smith too they look like twins yeah they are finding like doppelgangers but it wasn't hard because everyone looks alike these days no and especially like if you've been following like Amelia Gray wasn't born this way like she made herself look like yeah Gabriette yeah Gabriette I like saying that too I think Gabriette should date Nate Bargatze so she could be Gabriette Bargatze I think that Nate Bargatze he like has a family cool cool so maybe like his son if he's grown yeah I think his son is like three cool cool cool so you're shipping her with a three-year-old no I said if he's grown go go go are you ready for a fourth story no I don't think that I am right I guess not is it our fourth story that's brought to you by purely Elizabeth okay proud moment like I was in the grocery store and with Ben and he needed granola and we went to like the aisle where the granola is and they had purely Elizabeth like oh this is a toast sponsor you should try it and you know he's like so against like trying stuff um and he bought a couple of flavors he loved it he loved it I was so proud of course it's the only granola on the market worth its salt purely Elizabeth makes delicious granolas oatmeals cereals intentionally crafted with superfood ingredients like ancient grains nuts and seeds the taste is irresistible they're certified gluten-free and non-GMO, and they have plenty of vegan and keto-friendly options.

44:33So active dresses are just everything. I'm sorry, there's nothing cuter than an active dress. You can dress it up, you can dress it down, you can wear it to the grocery store. But when you have to go to the bathroom, it's not the vibe. Like you're literally fully naked in a public restroom. It's just not, it's not the vibe. Well, the Roback dresses are so cute, so flattering. They have really cute designs. But more importantly, they have built-in shorts that you can pull down without having to pull your entire dress down. Also, if you're training, like let's say you're actually working out like, you know, for the purpose of working out, they have great shorts. They have, they hit like just like the right spot in your mid-rise area. They come in so many different colors. They're really flattering, really cute. And the last thing I'll say is that you guys know we're obsessed with Roback because of their sets, like their hoodies, their joggers, their crewnecks. that's definitely my vibe for the next couple of months.

45:28And I love the ones from Roback. Also their men's items are really cute. So men's sweat, like jogger sets can be like really ugly and sloppish. I love the ones from Roback. Thank you, Claude. you're welcome our next story michelle trachtenberg's official cause of death has been revealed after she died at the age of 39 so the new york city office of chief medical examiner confirmed to people magazine on wednesday that the actress's sudden death was a result of complications of diabetes mellitus the manner of death was ruled as natural the spokesperson said the amended determination was made following review of toxicology testing results according to the spokesperson toxicology testing can be done without an autopsy so i remember like when this happened it happened the same time like around gene hackman and they were both like so suspicious and so sad and so weird um so for us to have gotten clarity on both of those things they're both so sad yeah like she just was what a 35 year old girl who dies of natural causes like that's not how the world is supposed to work right right to die suddenly when you're 39 done right really really sad um i don't know what diabetes mellitus is so me neither how that differentiates but just terrible no seriously like uncool yeah i'm wishing like her family well she was really so young and so beautiful yeah so talented and like so ingrained in culture and everything culture especially for people our age yes she did not show up for work same When she showed up for work, she showed up for work.

47:23Yeah, and just everything that she did became iconic because she was in it. Maybe Ice Princess was a bad movie. Anyone ever consider that? But it wasn't because of Michelle. Okay, it wasn't. And Kim Cattrall. And Harriet the Spy. And Julia. Harriet the Spy. What's my girl's name? No, and Georgina. Juliet. Oh, Juliet. No, Hayden Pattitier. But she's Juliet from Nashville. Juliet in Nashville, yeah. Hence the confusion. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Of course, Georgina. And the jumping shrimp. The Little Jumping Shrimp. Yes, Ice Princess is the best fucking movie. It is. Okay, okay. So that passes muster. Yeah, yeah, no.

47:58But Harriet the Spy, was she worth her salt? No, Michelle. She was a terrible spy. Michelle made her great. Georgina, like, nobody has ever acted better. Like, they should study her in acting school. It's true. So it's just a really sad, sad story, especially for, like, millennial swirlies. Yeah. Our fifth and final story will lead into our TV recap. Absolutely. If that sounds good to you because. So it sounds like it sounds like two birds, one stone. Two birds, one turd. Two birds. Paige DeSorbo is doubling down on her claims that Craig was texting other women during their relationship. Oh, oh, my God.

48:35Wait, I didn't see this. Yes. So she doubled down on the claims that he was texting other women because we saw a preview for the end of the season. Yes. We haven't watched this yet where she he's not defending the people who are calling her a cheater in their breakup. and she said on the show that we haven't seen yet she said you're gonna let people say that i'm a cheater i caught you texting two bitches in the course of our relationship so of course that's in the world into a frenzy and we're just sort of waiting to see what that was um but she and of course he maintains that like he never what stepped out so now that she's talking on what platform she gave an interview to vulture and she said as part of the interview she said i don't know honestly i don't know if it was platonic or anything more but there were multiple times in our relationship where I gave him so much grace like should I have broken up with him a year and a half ago when I saw him texting hearts to a girl probably but again I loved him and I wanted to marry him okay so this is I need more context like I'm sorry sorry to a girl no Ben you're sending hearts to a girl go to jail like seriously go to jail um I need to see the girl I need to know more I need to see the girl who's the girl yeah I need to know more but like yeah but let Let me say this, Paige.

49:44That does all look good. Yikes. Yeah. No, what does she look like, first of all? Like, is she single? Is she threatening? You know what I mean? There are girls that are threats, and then there are girls that are just ladies. Was it your aunt? Like you. Yeah, yeah. Did he send you a heart? Oh, my God. Imagine she's talking about me. Yeah, you're like an old married lady. Right, right. Am I harmful? Do I pose a threat? Yeah. So we're going to need more information. I hope we're going to get more information when that clip does air. But we are learning a lot about their relationship in Summer House, which aired last night more.

50:20The wheels are coming off. Like, I'm sure everybody around her who she's like actually like opening up to, like Sierra, like the breakup was the least shocking thing ever. Like to us, it was. But it's really interesting. And it was like sad to hear her say that like so much of like public fallout and public perception like stops her from making choices. Yeah. And like she's just afraid of what people will say, which is like the worst thing when you feel like you can't make the best decision for your own life because of like the fans. Yeah, I definitely think that might have delayed the breakup.

50:49Yeah. And I think that happens a lot of times with couples, like especially people from The Bachelor where like so many people are invested in your relationship and like you almost don't want to let them down. But I also think there's like something empowering when so many people are rooting for you. Like it might, it's not that you don't want to let them down. That's one thing. but another where you start to like see yourself through their eyes and you're like no it is great like we are craig and page like and i feel like it might give the relationship a little bit of longer legs but in a nice way like because yeah they're like championing you it helps to be loved to be like it was always good if everyone was telling your relationship was shit the moment you feel realize it's shit like you're like ah get me out of here and i could really like sense the anxiety that page was having in the bed scrolling and then when she moved beds um and I'm glad that she opened up to Sierra but I was like and this is what I was talking about at the beginning of the show like I think that Sierra like starting to cry before Paige even cried just being like I feel like you're really anxious and then like just she kind of took on Paige's emotions the entire episode with Emeril um yes yes like Paige was mad at Emeril and then Sierra goes outside and curses him out as if she's the one who was kept up all night and she wasn't like she wasn't because he's had sex all season and it it's never been an issue unless it has been we just didn't see but like it seems like in their room they don't hear Emeril and then the room They're upstairs.

52:04He's downstairs. The room that Paige went to, she heard Emeril. Right. She was in Gabby's room. Oh, yeah, he's downstairs. He's in, like, off the kitchen. Right. So, like, I felt like her behavior this episode was very strange. Only as it pertained to Paige. Like, I feel like Paige is going through a lot. And I could sense that from her. Like, she was almost giving me anxiety. Like, with her, like, scrolling. And I'm like, get off your phone. Yeah. And then, like, Emeril keeping her up. Like, I understand why she was so mad. Yeah. And also, I had to say, like, after a long day of day drinking, like, there's actually you know and you have you're having anxiety in your life already and then it's heightened by the drinking and you can't sleep because of the I like I could feel that it's a recipe for hell those are the worst hours 1000 so while I did feel like the only person who had like a legitimate gripe with Emeril was Paige I felt like overall no but he's not being like a good I know I feel conflicted like he's not being a good housemate or whatever but like when i think about the show like i love this cast they lay in bed all day like someone's got to go out bring girls home he's going out like that's what they need to do what he's doing is not contributing to the show whatsoever we don't even know it's not the girls he's bringing home we don't even hear from them he's literally like a border renting a room and his escapades contribute nothing to the show and they also take away from the show because now no like before when he came in like there's a ton of single girls in the house maybe some of them like would right start talking to you but when you like act like this it's very unattractive they are literally like go get tested nobody's gonna want to get with him and he's taking away from the show and and he is being a bad roommate and it is weird to have all these strangers coming in and out of the house in the middle of the night you don't know these people like I think it needed to be said but like Sierra saying it that day because of how Paige felt.

53:53Like it was just, you know, it seemed like it was for Paige, but I think in general it needed to be said. I feel that way as a viewer. This isn't a brothel. Yeah, I feel like when he got, he's like, hasn't been a part of any drama, right? So this is like his first, and it's a small like conversation. And his response saying that like, you know, I was undocumented for so many years. And so I'm now gonna like live loud. Like I actually think his story about being undocumented is so crazy and really interesting. and I'm not clowning on that at all but like to bring it up like in a fight like that's your excuse like you're living it loud because I don't know you're just getting it in like just yeah like just stop um yeah I definitely and also how awkward is that like I mean maybe it's less awkward for it it's a conversation ender well he said it in his confessional oh okay I believe no but how awkward is it to be like for someone to sit you down and be like you're a slut and it's really like inconvenient to the house dynamic like I think it would be harder for a girl to hear that like if a girl was obviously for bringing people home like I would seriously crawl into a hole in that and he's just so I felt like a little embarrassed for him but I think he should be a little embarrassed but he said he's like I'll stop like he I like I felt bad for him like I don't know I wasn't like hating on him as much as everybody else what he's doing but like the fact that we have to talk about it like i my cheeks are clenched when jesse was like maybe an away game once in a while like he's so funny when wes and kyle got home at 5 30 which like i can't even talk about for the 42 year old um and they had they had the five month pregnant woman lugging herself downstairs to open the door for them like i actually wanted to throw up yeah west is by the door i just wanted well that's what happens in the hamptons it happens with ours too with the heat it expands the wood and then it doesn't fit in the door frame true yes I forgot about that yeah that's just like a funny Hamptons thing um Wes is really having a as good of a season as he can have considering he was like the weenie of the year um I feel like he's doing all the right things agreed and I like for the house oh and to be clear him coming home at 5 30 like love that for you I'm talking about Kyle of course but like he's just like he's he's a value add like no matter how you want to slice it completely agree all over my i don't follow him on instagram but like he's in he's in matt james's passover satyr from kickball friends like yeah he's with brianna lapaglia like he's doing like he's a great reality star he's a value add to the show and and even in his confessionals like he always has funny stuff to say i like his friendship with jesse he's so supportive of him like and the cancer um moment when they went to the lodge and they gave back and that was so beautiful and like that's when i just like want to wrap jesse in a hug like he's such he's such a king i know i have a hard time holding space for his dual personalities like he is pjom mensch bring him home to your mother like so sweet been through so much gives back to the community he like loves to sing he's like releasing music oh i saw he's releasing music like there's so many cute little things about him but seriously i fucking hate this man like uh the when he got first of all him being like you're flirting with wes like i'm sorry i i wasn't there but i know she wasn't like i just like i know she wasn't she's obsessed with jesse and she is very she has said this a million times like i'm a one girl i'm a one guy growl like she's obsessed with jesse jesse like she's in a house i just don't think she was flirting with west i just wanted to make himself feel better and be like look we're the same we're not the same yeah you are not the same and then telling her that he loves her in the bed like i felt sick because then when he said that thing to sierra at the cancer thing i was like i i'm done with you like that to me was the your girlfriend just asked you to like be respectful and so you'd be like ah don't touch me like fucking drama queen i wanted to like it makes her look crazy she has not once asked him to do something that was unreasonable in my opinion so for for him to have a conversation with sierra and i see why sierra's like okay that's so rude telling me not to touch you like rude and like she's not wrong for being mad him making a big kerfuffle out of like you are responsible for your own actions so like why do you not flirt with people and then there won't be a problem Sierra doesn't have to change her behavior no Jesse has to change his so Jesse shouldn't touch Sierra's arm but if Sierra wants to touch his arm like that's the least of the issues between them don't lay on top of her in bathing suits on a pool float don't put your leg over her like that's the sort of things we're going to scale back first you want to get to perfection why don't you work on all those things first and again it's up to him to change his behavior if a girl touches your arm like there's nothing that you could do about it but of course corrected every single thing that you've done don't you dare start telling other people what to do but like making a big scene out of it like just makes lexi look so bad uh-huh when she really has not been unreasonable at all i'm dying for her to break up with him it's so annoying that all these things keep happening and she doesn't see it and then like the version she gets like is the truth but it's not like accurate enough yeah um it's so fucking frustrating that pissed me off so much yeah that was weird just he's not bad he's not understanding like what's being asked of him and why no and why no and like does he like her like I'm so confused yeah he does really like her but this is how he doesn't act like it not enough to like exercise some willpower but I don't think there's anyone that could make him behave any day I don't think he can meet any girl that would be that he likes more that would be more perfect that would make him behave any differently than he does right now because that's just him like lexi seriously because let's say he got with sierra he would sierra's his girlfriend he would do it with the next girl yeah amanda and everyone in the house and i just want to be clear so far because so much of what wes like got shit for we didn't see so far jesse's behavior has been 10 times worse than anything west did last season yeah it's all happening in like turbo mode yeah and it's all on camera yeah but it's happening in the span of like four weeks whereas west's took like about eight months six months right i also love to see them out leaving the house like going clubbing like that's that's fun yeah it was kind of a random episode so it's just like a sunday morning into the week and then like some oh yeah then we went to the city yeah but it was but i do like when they film in the city yeah me too for so long it was like they didn't see each other for five days like that's one of that hummus platter when the girls were out the girls were out probably those pitas i need a pita they do film at interesting places in the city uh where was that like places you've never heard of oh well they have to get filming wherever they can get like a permit and even the uh food for the the hope lodge thing looked so good i mean the taco i need a taco bowl i'm just hungry and i'm craving bread is seems to be the theme but i want a taco bowl like i might go to chipotle after last night's episode fuck shit up and go to chipotle i don't know chipotle gives me the willies that was a neuralta for you neuralt let me see oh you had your dose of neuralta i hope everyone's feeling better an hour-long episode like how regular are we yeah oh my god she just hung up our call failed i really don't want to call her back here's what i'll do i wonder if she's talking Hopefully she's not.

1:01:14Because I could just like wrap up. Hopefully she's just like sitting in silence.

1:01:23Okay, have you talked? Because I've been talking telling everyone what's going on. No, did you end? No, like I'm saying like I'm going to end it. I'm just going to end it. I'm leaving all of this in. Okay, leave it all in. I didn't talk because I thought maybe you'd do the whole sign off. Okay, no, I'm hanging off. Okay, I'm hanging up and I'm going to sign off.
