Transcript
Automatic transcript. May contain errors.0:03Claudia Oshry:Good morning, girlies. It's the toast. It's Jackson Claude and we're your hosts. It's your favorite show. The fast five things you need to know. We'll start your day off swirly.
0:21Jackie Oshry:It's the toast. I sound amazing. welcome back to the toast and happy wednesday today is the epitome of goodness and i'm so excited to emerge myself in this experience with my sister co-host and friend whose voice seems to return it's jacqueline folet are you excited to go on a cojourn of fred with me i mean it's the
0:41Claudia Oshry:epitome of joy so why wouldn't i i don't know why you wouldn't my voice is much better than it was yesterday but i do still think it's a dream day for you because i do have to keep it to a minimum You know, I can't just be. We wouldn't want you to overextend. Long winded. So I am going to do the stories. I am going to do the stories because I know that also took away from your dream day. Definitely like manual labor on my dream day. That's not a dream. So maybe today will be more of a dream for you. I am feeling like I'm in a dreamlike state. A dreamlike sequence.
1:14Jackie Oshry:Yes. I love the word sequence. I feel like I've been using the word sequence a lot ever since like I started playing Mahjong so consistently. I haven't modged in weeks. Oh girl, me and my daytime crew, we do not fuck around. Actually though, me and my daytime crew, you know, if somebody needs to bop out, like we have a couple of alternates. And how do they feel about being alternates?
1:36Claudia Oshry:Well, so. And being called alternates on a very popular podcast.
1:40Jackie Oshry:They're grateful for the experience, if I'm being honest. My daytime crew, it's kind of like a random assembling of four people who like, you know, have flexible jobs. Came together. Some don't work, some are on maternity leave. Came together. Against all odds. Yeah, so no one wanted to play. And then we started becoming so popular. We have lunch and everyone's kind of jealous of what goes on. They're like, oh, I'll play. And it's like, well, where were you when we were putting the group together? So I think the alternates that we do have are extremely grateful to even be alternates. That's how in demand that we are, if I'm being honest.
2:10Jackie Oshry:But today, we're actually taking Maja off. I said you could sub in one of the alternates for me. I can't, Maja, I have my EMG, my long-awaited, this is like five years in the process. I'm finally getting my nerve test on my thumb. and I'm hoping we will finally find out why my thumb stopped working. I'm excited. That's very exciting. Exciting excites me. Information excites me. I know. I fear that the EMG will tell me that I have a tendon issue and I have to get surgery. And it's like, am I really, for the first time in my whole life, going to get surgery because of my thumb?
2:41Claudia Oshry:No, I feel like... Thumbs are important. I feel like you wait for it to get worse.
2:44Jackie Oshry:Oh, you think? But what if it becomes irreparable? And how much longer? I've literally waited almost three years. Like, I haven't had a thumb for three years. and I've been talking about it and like nobody seems to care they're like you're fine you have
2:54Claudia Oshry:nine other fingers I mean we all have our struggles like my pinky toe is really going into my fourth toe it really hurts and like I used to only happen like when you wear shoes yeah it used to only happen if I hadn't got a pedicure in a while my nails were too long so I was like up time to get a pedicure so you're saying the nail is going into the skin of your fourth toe or the whole toe now like the the toe and and there's not a lot of I keep my toenails clipped I got a pedicure and still the next day and then I have some shoes where it hurts more than others but but it's becoming an everyday issue in my life and I'm
3:30Jackie Oshry:just gonna keep walking the path well that's how I feel about my coccidinia like it's just something I have to live with I mean my sciatica you please you are when you're with me and you see me get out
3:42Claudia Oshry:of a chair and you think that's something that's a face she makes you I like can't get up and you think like oh my gosh is it flaring up like no this is just my life now so I get that there are
3:52Jackie Oshry:definitely ailments as women of a certain age like we just live with but I think if I have the opportunity to fix my thumb that's something like later me will say thanks for doing I'm hoping I can find I might get into like some eastern medicine alternative treatments before I go for the surge I think that's good also talk to chat I was chatting hardcore with you can't like tech
4:11Claudia Oshry:tell chat chat can't tell you what to do until you have your diagnosis from emg so chat is really
4:16Jackie Oshry:because chat told me like chat's waiting on emg a thousand percent i will upload them but then i was also talking to chat last night because i told you that like a week and a half ago while putting on pants i sprained my ankle and it's like how long does an ankle get sprained for like i've got a long time oh my god every time i like twist my ankle a certain way i'm like blinded with pain um and so chat was and then i was wondering do you think that any of these issues are connected because I told you I also threw out my neck so I have a bad neck a bad foot and a bad thumb and I was like it's all in the left side of my body so I was like chat are any of these connected it actually feels like my body is breaking down and chat was like well no I don't think that any of them are connected so that made me feel better that is better it's not a larger issue in the cogers wogers left side of business I guess we'll find out after the mg okay stay tuned watch this
5:08Claudia Oshry:space. Stay tuned for that. Are the results immediate or like they have to be I have no idea. Like studied and a different appointment for them to share them with you.
5:18Jackie Oshry:Oh bitch like the way medical professionals refuse to give you your own fucking information. They better FedEx me the results ASAP. Don't get me started on the healthcare system. I won't actually. That's so not what I want to talk about. What I do want to talk about is what's going down today. It's broken. Absolutely. What I want to talk about is what's going down today. We have Love Island and Kassa Moore episode three recap. We have Taylor Swift, of course, like showing her face. Lots to discuss there. We've got two positively swirly girls. I have decided, made another sort of administrative decision.
5:50Jackie Oshry:Dear Toasters will be tomorrow. And I think until Love Island is over, programming update, Dear Toasters will be moved to Thursdays because we have a TV recap every single day, except Thursday because there's no episodes on Wednesdays. So we'll see you guys Thursday, DTQ. Sorry, please just,
6:07Claudia Oshry:please just be cool with it yeah no it is what it is plus without my voice like
6:12Jackie Oshry:we have to conserve our without your voice how can you give a stern talking to to the dtq it's
6:18Claudia Oshry:so true it's so true and i and you guys deserve my best absolutely so also dear toasters are about to be fed on patreon this month i don't want to spoil a great episode i don't want to spoil what we're doing but it's in the dear toasters family it's actually i feel like you could spoil it like It's called Building Hype. Okay, but we're recording it tomorrow. We are doing a Dear Toasters where we go through submissions from early days of toast. Like 2019. We give our takes now on what they would be and then we will live listen to what we said then and see how different we are if we agree with what we said then.
6:52Jackie Oshry:It's going to be so different because I know back then we were toxic wives and now we're toxic moms. We are the mother-in-laws that people are writing in about.
7:00Claudia Oshry:No, and just like life wises you up. Like I'm still thinking about our dear toasters from last week where that girl said her husband was gay and we were like, stay with him.
7:10Jackie Oshry:Of course. That's the kind of advice you can only find here at the toast.
7:12Claudia Oshry:Because, you know, every other show. Oh, he cheated on you. He's gay. Dump him.
7:17Jackie Oshry:No. And then it's like you deserve. It's like, yeah, all those things are true. But like, let's do a practical application of policy here. OK, so leave him. You're also then leaving your half your custody of your kids to this guy. Like we're very realistic. And I know some people don't like our advice, but like, sorry, this is what your great grandmother would tell you. And I feel like we should always be listening to our elders. We are the church elders.
7:37Claudia Oshry:You know, and of course, like if we got that Deer Toasters like years ago before we had kids, we'd be like, what do you mean? Your husband's cheating on you and he's gay? Like, goodbye. Double homicide. It's not so simple.
7:49Jackie Oshry:Nothing is simple. And that's what Deer Toasters is all about, exploring the complexities of humanity. And that's what we will be doing both on Thursday and on Thursday's Patreon episode. So make sure to head over to patreon.com slash the toast, which if you're new here is our subscription. So if you go to patreon.com slash the toast, you can join our premium tier, which is$7.99. That's the OG price. It's never been raised. $7.99 for five extra episodes per month. Those episodes range from podcasts to vlogs to videos. I just did a big hair tutorial. We do lots of Q and A's. We do more in-depth stuff.
8:17Jackie Oshry:We get all the ancillary supplemental characters like Olivia, Trout, Margo. They all come on there. All of our birth stories are on there. it's a great way to get extra content for like when you're bored and also support the toast for the price of a coffee actually I don't even think coffee costs$7.99 these days nothing does except Patreon
8:31Claudia Oshry:the price of a boot is staggering
8:34Jackie Oshry:the price of a boot is fucking staggering
8:36Claudia Oshry:yeah I was actually just at dinner with like a newish friend and so we were just like swapping life stories and we were talking about the toast and like she wanted to hear like the whole story
8:47Jackie Oshry:that sounds like such a fun dinner I love when people ask about me
8:50Claudia Oshry:yeah no so I was telling her like the whole story she was like how did you even start the show so i started like you know with the breath and everything and i was talking about how we started the toast and i was saying how like patreon was just like the bigot like it just changed our lives and like it really did we love the patreon we share also this show we talk a lot about our personal lives but we also talk about celebrities but like when there's more to talk about our personal lives like we do that on the patreon it's just very personal to us and we love it and we love the community i was just reminded in telling the story like how much i love the Patreon community.
9:20Claudia Oshry:Patreon was there for us when no one else was. When no one else was.
9:24Jackie Oshry:It was the first time we ever were able to monetize our show, which was very exciting. And I feel like a lot of the big streamers are like trying to infringe on Patreon. They're all launching their own subscriptions. Like we are so motherfucking loyal to Patreon. We will never leave.
9:36Claudia Oshry:Never leave Patreon. We will be the last ones on the Titanic. And also if you've never heard of Patreon, you're probably like, oh, I don't know how to use that. It's just a website. You could download the app if you want, but just go to patreon.com slash the toast. you make a login and then all the content is there so if you've never heard of patreon it's not like this newfound thing that it's inaccessible it's just go to the website and then you get access to
9:57Jackie Oshry:all the old stuff so i think now there's probably like over 400 episodes yeah we've been doing five episodes a month for almost nine years do the math five times 12 60 60 times nine
10:08Claudia Oshry:540 what is nine times six there's a five that's what i was thinking 54 okay there's a five 500 episodes that's the first time like probably since sixth grade that like my times tables have come in handy oh i you know what i was doing yesterday percentages remember how you used to like blank over blank equals x over 100 remember that x over 100 blank of ratios ratios i needed to find out the ratio and so in my mind i'm like blank over blank and then you divide 100 by the top
10:36Jackie Oshry:number yep and then divide across yep you know what i actually 26 from math like the practical application of policy things I actually use in my everyday life I do the ratios a lot I'm always
Read the full transcript
10:48Claudia Oshry:trying to figure out like percentages yeah no that's I needed a pen and paper but I was able to do it in my head something I never used my last brain cell was hanging on that I probably
10:58Jackie Oshry:couldn't even tell you like I could not probably do it right now I was like long division
11:03Claudia Oshry:remember it was like under no I know I know square yeah no I haven't done that in a while and I have no idea how to but like the calculator app on my phone can't do that ratio for me in the way that cross no but in the past I've just been like to Google but like your calculator app can do long division that's why you haven't done long division right but like they don't know how to see it like I see it yeah my ratios and ratio like means something so different these days it does but it's it stems from the same thing correct so you you do still use those tools
11:44Jackie Oshry:yeah um what else can i tell you oh so like ben went to a james taylor concert last night you
11:52Claudia Oshry:know he called me from the concert and then was talking to me he did we were working on something
11:57Jackie Oshry:and um what the fuck are you working on well we're working on a lot of things but yesterday specifically we were working on my car oh yeah and he's talking to me and he knows i didn't have
12:10Claudia Oshry:a voice I spoke to him earlier in the day and I'm like at a whisper yeah he was like I'm at the James Taylor concert I can't hear you I'm like you called the girl with no voice from the James
12:18Jackie Oshry:Taylor concert and he's been like pestering me to go with him Ben and his family are obsessed with James Taylor and like yeah I know a couple of the hits but like I really don't need to go to the concert it's like what we have to get a babysitter like I'll stay home you guys go have fun and Ben has just been like bothering me about coming I think he also like got me a ticket just being like in case you want to come he really thought I would come like and I just didn't like Like I was not, you know when you're just not going to something? I'm like, I'm sorry, I'm not fucking going. Happy birthday, Bruce.
12:42Jackie Oshry:Sorry, I'm not going. Like it wasn't even his birthday. It was like three days ago.
12:45Claudia Oshry:This is his 50th birthday.
12:48Jackie Oshry:It was, I saw videos, like no shade to James Taylor. Cause like, I think he's got a really powerful fan base. No shade, no tea. No tea, no shade. It just looked like a little like lackluster. And I love him, but Ben was like, he barely played the hits. And I just like, I was so happy with my decision. I was really, really happy. But even James Taylor at his best.
13:12Claudia Oshry:I've seen fire and I've seen rain.
13:15Jackie Oshry:I've seen sunny days that I thought would never end. I don't really know who James Taylor is. Okay, but you know a couple of thongs, right? You know. Thongs? Winters. Thongs. Winter, spring, summer, or fall.
13:31Claudia Oshry:I don't know if you'll know this one.
13:32Jackie Oshry:All you've got to do is call. In my mind I've gone to Carolina Do you know that one?
13:39Claudia Oshry:No.
13:40Jackie Oshry:Less popular. Do you know Fire and Rain? Sing it. I've seen fire and I've seen rain I've seen sunny days that I thought would never end I've seen lonely times By the way, you have I've seen lonely times when I could not find a friend Do you remember that turnt movie we used to watch as kids called Camp? Where it was like all these turnt hormonal teenagers at a drama camp? Yeah.
14:03Claudia Oshry:and that's like sort of the penultimate song like got it got it well you know what some of these songs i don't know but like they really sound lovely um he sounds like a talented guy absolutely talented so um cool famous for a reason oh yeah it thinks he did that yeah oh that's funny
14:24Jackie Oshry:yeah just felt really good about like being home in bed at a reasonable hour watching love island like it was really good yeah the crazy thing is that when love island started which you do as now I watch it at 835 because that's when it secretly goes on Peacock. It was still light out. It's so crazy. Like not it being light out during Love Island.
14:41Claudia Oshry:No, I know. I have to say one good thing that's come out of Love Island. It forced us to get the kids sleeping in their own beds. At a reasonable hour. Starting in their own beds because they used to like start in my bed. But like if I have to watch Love Island, then like Zach has to put them in bed. And so he puts them in their beds.
15:00Jackie Oshry:And you certainly cannot watch it with them nearby.
15:03Claudia Oshry:Oh my God, I would literally never. Never.
15:04Jackie Oshry:I just wouldn't watch it.
15:06Claudia Oshry:Of course. So then those early days, I couldn't be in the bed with them. So Zach put them to bed and he really tried to put them in their own beds. And then they got into a decent rhythm so I could put them in their own beds. Now they start in their own beds and I watch Love Island. So I have to say thank you to Love Island. Do they stay in their own beds? No, no, no. They start in their own beds. Then they're welcome to come in at any point in the night. Of course. Yeah. Yeah, of course. And that's like, well, thank you to Love Island.
15:32Jackie Oshry:Thank you to Love Island. I'm sure that's what they intended.
15:34Claudia Oshry:For the sleep training.
15:36Jackie Oshry:Well, let's dive in because we have a lot to talk about, including Love Island USA recap.
15:41Claudia Oshry:Yes, without further ado, da, do, da, do. It is time for the Fast Five Stories that you, da, do, need to know.

17:11Jackie Oshry:They are having a 20 % off sale, and we need everyone to act accordingly. It's 20 % off site-wide right now, but it's not for long. They only do this major sale like twice a year. So this is the time to shop. If you've had your eye on one of their active dresses, perhaps a skort, the biker short bra set, or you just need a refresh on a summer wardrobe, now is definitely time to pull the trigger. So we all know summer dressing sounds easy in theory. Next thing you know, you're just like sweating, crying, screaming, throwing up, staring at your closet. And that's where Roback comes in because we've been wearing so many of their essentials lately.
17:39Jackie Oshry:Their skorts are such a summer staple. They have a very flattering waistband, a very lightweight and comfortable fabric that snatches you in, but still is not compressive. They come in the prettiest colors. What I like most about Roback, especially like their leggings, their biker shorts, is that the material is like very soft and smooth and light. But you're like I find sometimes when I'm wearing biker shorts and leggings from the back, you can see my cellulite. So I still need them to be like thick enough to cover that while also, you know, being lightweight. And that's where Roback, I think, is so great.
18:05Jackie Oshry:If you're doing any of like the golf, tennis, pickleball, country club vibe this summer, you'd need some of their active dresses. You need the squirts. You can dress them up. You can dress them down. They're very easy. And who doesn't love a sale? It's finally time to check out Robac after hearing us talk about it every single week. If you have Robac and you want to stock up or you haven't been able to try it yet, check it out now and use our code toast on Robac.com for 20 % off your first order through the end of this week. That's Robac, R-H-O-B-A-C-K.com. The code is toast, T-O-A-S-T, for 20 % off your first order through the end of this week.
18:36Jackie Oshry:Today's episode is also brought to you by Salt and Stone. So the viral deodorant that you've probably heard and seen everyone posting about will really replace your perfume and you will not stop getting compliments about it. So Salt and Stone is a fragrance company. They make lots of body washes, deodorants that are super viral. They smell so good, like seriously, like a hotel lobby. And the Discovery sets are going to have all four scents, which are Santal and Vetiver, Bergamot and Hinoki, Saffron and Cedar, and then Neroli and Basil. The deodorant is award winning. It's viral for a reason. It's, of course, aluminum free, but it's formulated for 48 hour protection.
19:08Jackie Oshry:It is so popular today. They actually sell one deodorant every five seconds. And each product is a careful blend of antioxidant and nutrient-rich ingredients. Love the deodorant. Also love the body wash. I think Jackie and I talk a lot about how we always want to have signature scents. But I can't wear perfume, first of all. It doesn't stay on me. And then it always ends up giving me a headache. So I feel like deodorant and body wash is such a great way to create a signature scent. And the smells from Salt and Stone are so rich and elevated. It really smells like a hotel, a lobby, a five-star resort.
19:35Jackie Oshry:It's great for a guest bathroom. everyone swears by it the mist they have such great products but i really love the deodorant especially if you're looking for an aluminum free deodorant this is a great option because they make sense unlike any other try this salt and stone discovery set to find your signature scent go to saltandstone.com slash toast use code toast at checkout for 15 off your first order that's saltandstone.com slash t-o-a-s-t our code is toast t-o-a-s-t that will get you 15 off your first order highly recommend you'll be able to check out all four scents and then find your signature and just be like the smelliest most amazing pardiest girl this summer
20:08Claudia Oshry:thanks i meant smelly in a positive way thanks turtle lou my pleasure our first story taylor swift closes out fiance travis kelsey's tight ends university with a concert and surprise performance with laney wilson so taylor swift performed at teu last night for her mans and george kittle she got on stage and sang love story with laney wilson it's so funny because like
20:35Jackie Oshry:this is the second year in a row where like teu is the biggest event everyone's talking what the hell is it like i don't know is it an organization is it a community event like i have no idea what the university actually does is it a training program like what are they teaching yeah and is
20:47Claudia Oshry:it like physical things like is it training you know getting on the field doing tight end exercises or is it sitting in the classroom learning is it networking for other tight ends i feel like it was
20:58Jackie Oshry:started by three tight ends so they call it tight end university but i'm and i'm just guessing here I've done no research. And you know what? I don't even want to know. I think that the three tight ends got together and started like almost like a community outreach program for like youth and sports. I feel like it's like a camp. I really don't know. You think there's youth involved? I didn't think that there's youth involved. Oh, you don't think it's for the youth?
21:17Claudia Oshry:No. I thought it was for like a high level tight ends to come together. Oh, you think it's like a sorority, like a fraternity within the NFL? Yes, like a community of tight ends. I think I like my idea better, but I think you're right. Yours is like you think it's like aspiring tight ends. Like I feel like athletes when they get to a certain level,
21:37Jackie Oshry:they're always like giving back to the community and the youth. Of course, like the Boys and Girls Club. No, or like. Best Buddies. Yeah.
21:43Claudia Oshry:Is this not that? No, I don't think so. I think this is like, you know. Like a fraternity. Like the YPO of tight ends. It's like BBYO. No, no, I think you mean YPO.
21:59Jackie Oshry:No, BBYO. Like the Jewish program for Jewish youth. Yeah, but again, with the fucking youth. Yeah, sorry I care about the youth. I believe the children are our future. Sorry, Travis Kelsey fucking doesn't, okay? No, he doesn't. George Kittle certainly doesn't. Okay, I have to tell you, I'm obsessed with George Kittle for two reasons. One, I saw an interview, Entertainment Tonight. I'm sure that they were prepped because Taylor was there. It's technically the week before the wedding. And they obviously got permission to say one or two things, but I don't believe Claire and George have any formal media training, but it was literally an exercise in perfection.
22:32Jackie Oshry:like how to answer questions while saying nothing, but giving a little bit. So they said, yes, we got invited. I'm sure they were allowed to say that, and it's pretty obvious. We have no idea when it is. And I think that Taylor and Travis have decided to confirm that it's next week, either because it is or maybe it isn't.
22:47Claudia Oshry:Or maybe it isn't. But what we know is that the guests who were invited don't know where it is. They're waiting. We're told a day to be ready, and I think they were told to maybe be in a certain city, which is Manhattan. But no one has shared that, confirmed that. Based on what George Kittle said yesterday, it's that people are invited. They don't know where it is.
23:05Jackie Oshry:George said he thinks that there's just going to be a huge jet waiting to take everyone somewhere.
23:11Claudia Oshry:Yeah, he was just saying shit. He's wearing a blue suit. He really diverted the question and was respectful, even though people need to stop asking people. I know. People are so scared. People are so scared. Yeah, I know. And you can see Claire did not say anything because she was not going to be the one. She was letting George lead. Yeah, of course. Because if George says it, like, he, like.
23:33Jackie Oshry:Ah, George. He's so crazy.
23:35Claudia Oshry:Right.
23:35Jackie Oshry:I love the name George. George is a great name. It's a great name. It doesn't, like, go with the vibe I've started, like, Ruben. It goes with mine. Yeah, it does. My vibe is very much, like, elder Jewish, like, immigrant, which I love. Like, I want my children to all be found at, like, Second Avenue Deli. Like, you know? Yeah. But I can respect, like, the name George is so pargy. Actually, a friend of mine has a nephew named George. And whenever she's like, oh, George came over. I'm like okay Was he very curious?
24:02Claudia Oshry:Yeah so cutesy It's very cute it does work with mine But it's not a long and a short Now I'm in long and short I have one negative thing to say about George Kittle
24:15Jackie Oshry:Because Taylor performed And she like literally said George requested a song And it was like Taylor Swift has never taken requests It's not a karaoke bar And like you request Literally the song she sang seven million times publicly personally concerts private events like seriously like if you were a real fan you could have literally requested any other fucking song no not even peace obviously
24:39Claudia Oshry:i was gonna say to you i know you would request peace what do you think george kittle should have requested okay like something that's still popular that he would know like sparks fly
24:50Jackie Oshry:sparks fly that's like a well-known song no i know he would have chosen something from 1989 i would love to hear like a 1989 bonus track like okay but he wouldn't have chosen George Kittle myself George Kittle with like blank space style like literally I'm happier to hear love story over
25:07Claudia Oshry:those two you have to think like it would have been nice to hear maybe out of the woods I don't know if he's an out of the woods guy but that would be great oh but I guess like she's getting married this week so love stories I know what I think I think love story goes platinum in the locker rooms like Travis loves it George loves it the players love love story but just imagine
25:27Jackie Oshry:like you are a chosen person like you get to request a song from Taylor okay but am I like
25:34Claudia Oshry:is it a solo concert am I like raging you're in George Kittle's position Taylor is performing for girly swirly university because I have a close relationship with Travis I have to give like five
25:45Jackie Oshry:answers okay and let me just look at her whole catalog just make sure I'm not saying anything but I definitely think State of Grace like if she started playing okay that's one I know mine honestly King of My Heart and I want to say a lot of my favorite songs are from like TTPD folklore evermore but I wouldn't choose them for this I just want to say
26:15Claudia Oshry:i this is the hack i would do all too well 10 minute version that's so good make her work for it and also like at eros tour that song went the hardest it's true actually what i think went the
26:29Jackie Oshry:hardest was um for me fearless the song fearless yeah that's so interesting when she was with the guitar and she opens up and she did the hard hands like that really went actually surprisingly what also went really hard for me was the Archer. That was like something that really got to me.
26:44Claudia Oshry:I love the Archer.
26:45Jackie Oshry:Yeah. So yeah. Let me just go album by album. Here's what I would choose. Like Deadass from Fearless. Ready? And then you have to pick one cojourner. Oh, really? Forever and Always would be so good. But it's not like boppy enough, you know?
27:02Claudia Oshry:Any reason you... Actually, no, it would be good. You know what? I think I'd have to choose You Belong With Me. I know. You Belong With Me is like the climb of Taylor Swift songs for me. It's true. It changed my life. It's true. Okay. So from, yeah.
27:15Jackie Oshry:Then from red, I would definitely do state of grace. You belong with me. Yeah, it's you belong with me. Sorry. I might also do holy ground, but that's definitely not going to be like my main choice, you know? Yeah. Speak now. Lots of good options. Sparks fly. Sparks fly. The story of us. I would choose. That's my number one. I would choose the story of us like she literally has never sang it and it's such a what about long live oh of course of course but we're like at a concert we're trying to get it's a football thing we're trying to get people like you get one wildest dreams as well long live is amped wildest dreams this is so hard I really don't have an answer for you but I can tell you it's not going to be from the life of a showgirl yeah for me it's it's you belong with me so I do feel
28:09Claudia Oshry:like love story and you belong with me are like of the same vein I understand why that's what he
28:13Jackie Oshry:chose but just like imagine if she came out and like sang Marjorie like imagine if the person she was taking requests from was like a diehard fan whose favorite song was like white horse you know right but I think the diehard fan would make her sing peace because she refuses well then that would just be like harmful to Taylor and I don't think Taylor will ever sing peace ever again because it's literally the definition of why her and Joe Alwyn broke up. Yeah. Yeah.
28:38Claudia Oshry:Well, that was cute. Yeah. And Lainey Wilson. Oh, yeah. I want to talk about Lainey Wilson.
28:44Jackie Oshry:Lainey Wilson is a friend to all. Yeah. And I feel as though she has like very low-key swirly-tude. It's not obvious. But she does, you know, she was in the Hannah Montana special. She's out here performing at Taylor Swift. She doesn't look swirly. She looks like very, you know, conjurer. Cooler than you.
29:00Claudia Oshry:Yeah. Yeah, but I think she's got that swirlitude. I know. Like at this rate, she might be a toaster. Yeah. She just has like, you know, I don't want to say basic, but like common girly interests.
29:15Jackie Oshry:Yeah. And she just doesn't look like she would, you know? No, she doesn't. And also, do you feel like being tapped to perform at this event like kind of sucks because everyone's just like, oh, it's Lady Wilson. Is Taylor coming? Like they're just sort of waiting for Taylor the whole time. She did it last year.
29:30Claudia Oshry:No, I don't think so. Okay. I didn't get that feeling. Okay. It seemed like a warm and loving environment. Okay, at the TEU. Our next story. Kylie Jenner is the new face of Meta Glasses. There were a lot of people posting Meta Glasses. Kylie was the biggest one.
29:49Jackie Oshry:Are you having deja vu? Didn't everybody make glasses like 10 years? Snap. They all made glasses like five, 10 years ago. It was cool and novel, but they didn't really. a sincere emerge into the culture. Nobody wore them in a serious way.
30:03Claudia Oshry:People don't want glasses like this. They don't want camera wearable techie glasses. Google Glass. George Glass.
30:11Jackie Oshry:George Glass. Google Glass. Snap Glass. Now Snapchat's coming out with another one. I want Snapple glasses. What's with the glasses? People need to let the mouse go. People don't want glasses with tech in them.
30:24Claudia Oshry:People just want to see. I need to know how much Kylie was paid for this I think she was paid one billion dollars because it's such a good move by Meta she's the coolest person in the world if anybody can make glasses cool like it would be her her voice is in the glasses they greet you with like rise and shine and like if you ask yeah if you ask for the weather it's like her telling you the weather for the day like it's her voice in the glasses so like so it's not just like an ad they literally said like who's the coolest person on earth that can make these glasses cool and then like I think they would have paid her a hundred million dollars because and they're going to use her likeness and her voice which is like a huge thing in ai people getting paid for their voices i don't even think 100 million's enough and like for me i don't want to use the term like sell out because i get your bag no and i love selling out like i want to love it and i say it actually in a good way and in a in a prideful way like but i believe that she sold out for this opportunity yay yeah only because like glasses
31:19Jackie Oshry:are just not it. They've been trying for like decades to make tech glasses a thing. And sometimes I mean, of course, you could never, you know, predict what's going to take off, what people are going to love. But we tried this once. Everyone did. Why are we doing it again?
31:34Claudia Oshry:And also like, what makes this different? Oh my God, what made you want to partner with this interview with Elle? What made you want to partner with Meta? I don't know what the paycheck, but she said. Yeah, obviously. Glasses have always been my thing. come again literally since when actually i wear sunglasses a lot as well but i like by the way sunglasses are everyone's thing that's like not a thing to have as a thing no it's not but actually some people like are more sunglasses than others you know like some people just like raw dog it outside yeah i don't feel like i'm ever really seeing kylie with that many sunglasses if i'm being honest i can't even get a package outside my door without putting on sunglasses i agree i feel it's definitely damaging my eyes because whenever i walk outside without glasses i'm like ah like a crypt keeper like i know i actually like go through like small bits of trying to strengthen my eyes yes i'm trying to like like create some sort of immunity the key is and actually shannon and i talked about this a few years ago and it stuck with me like you have to like not wear sunglasses like early in the morning and later in the day to adjust like at high time you can but um yeah I'm always trying to like wean from
32:45Jackie Oshry:sunglasses yeah um back to Kylie's most moronic statement that she just made the way there was
32:52Claudia Oshry:more there was more hold on glasses have always been my thing they're the first thing I notice on someone honestly so when Meta came to me and said I could actually design a pair not just show up for a campaign I was like wait this is different I got to be involved in everything the shape the colors the packaging even the little chime sound it makes when you put them on
33:10Jackie Oshry:it's just crazy this is how you know a product is bad because i'm like very influenced by kylie and i do not have one iota of like desire to purchase how much are they oh i don't know i
33:21Claudia Oshry:just like i can't take this on right now okay like i'm happy with my phone and i just got i got one
33:26Jackie Oshry:of those by the way i want to say i'm not even happy with my phone like i'm too addicted to it i'm like actively trying more than enough it's more than enough i just got like one of those
33:34Claudia Oshry:camp snap cameras the best so like i'm covered i i don't feel like i need to be capturing more of my life than i already am like i feel sufficiently captured yeah i feel sufficiently like close with technology you know like i don't need it on my face also if airpods are bad for you can't imagine what this is so sure think of the radiation so i i support and love her and i think you know this this is great money and you know if the Knicks keep winning every season like her and Timothy are going to need to go to like a lot of expensive games and the Jets get the tickets for free the Jets and everything I could add the Jets yeah so I know they'll need the money and so I like this for that reason I'm glad that like Meta out of everyone on earth like chose her
34:21Jackie Oshry:because that's the right choice yeah they should just this goes to the Knicks fund I just don't I just don't want them okay yeah and I don't want everyone else to get them and then everyone else
34:33Claudia Oshry:message to everyone else please don't buy these like like then everyone else is like taking content the way she was on the bike and like everyone else is like taking like phoneless selfies like I just I can't keep up okay just please no speaking of selfies like when Corbin
34:47Jackie Oshry:and Permita were taking a picture sitting right next to Caleb it was very upset Caleb needs to
34:53Claudia Oshry:like stop acting like a loser because he is a very handsome lovely guy so stop acting like a loser that's good advice for kind of everyone on the island no but he's acting like nobody wants him like he's discard he's one of the most handsome guys there he has a heart of gold like stop acting like second fiddle jackie you said corbin i'm like what are you talking about a heart of gold
35:20Jackie Oshry:Caleb sorry now go back Caleb oh my god I was genuinely like nodding my head because I'm a
35:26Claudia Oshry:supportive sister I'm like what the hell is she talking about Caleb needs to stop acting like a
35:31Jackie Oshry:loser like nobody wants him no I disagree with you nobody wants him and everybody needs to stop treating him like a loser the fact that he cannot get arrested the hottest sweetest guy on the show it's just proof like it's the only disgusting nature of the disgusting nature of yeah like the fact that he can literally cannot get arrested is just proof that like sincere who is the worst guy in the world has had three girls now fall for him like it's just he's so on the wrong show him and
35:55Claudia Oshry:anaya need to go on love is blind at this point i guess anaya has the personality for love is blind which isn't a compliment um but like at this point like anaya is not not my fave no of course not i miss my man no even last night she was just like like just talking so emphatically at the camera like you know just saying all these things that's just like don't line up about how like they're the best and they're the baddest and i'm gonna like it's just all this like hype and it's like but you're gonna go cry for casey like oh i'm sorry that's the theme of the entire villa
36:31Jackie Oshry:right now every single girl this villa is about to shake oh i'm gonna go so fucking ham they're crying on the couch i miss my man not one of them has kissed anyone kata literally won't kiss this guy Zach is over here sleeping in a bed with someone but we haven't seen it because they're obviously cutting out Alana but literally Kate is over here be like this fella's gonna shake when he comes back you won't even kiss this guy no like the the talk versus the walk from Anaya Anaya from the whole group I'm sorry but really yeah Anaya and I is the most to me like the most
36:59Claudia Oshry:glaring obvious yeah because Melanie's like pining for sincere but she's not in her confessionals
37:04Jackie Oshry:like no we about to turn it up she's really not into anyone there yeah I don't know that
37:10Claudia Oshry:conversation with well that was a turning point the final word okay third story memoir news oh let me think who's writing a memoir you don't know but i think you're gonna read it really memoirs of a joe manganello you're kidding joe manganello is sharing a lot about his life-threatening autoimmune related illnesses that resulted in him having an amputation in his forthcoming memoir called what you would never guess oh bloodlines okay you know what i was actually gonna say because he's from true blood that's like how he got famous and this is so he said he dealt with a cascade of autoimmune related illnesses that attacked his thyroid digestive system skin lungs and eyes during the seven-year battle he dealt with chronic pain a life-saving organ amputation existential crisis and a prolonged fight for survival that left doctors with few answers and no clear explanation he also turned to an unorthodox form of treatment he used shamans pagan rituals ancient myths long lost family records and the rebirth of his own spirituality to try to aid his illness so i guess that's where the bloodlines also comes in like he's tracing his ancestry to try and understand his health maybe you won't be reading it even though maybe it sort of it sort of reminds me of you in your thumb it does maybe i need to check my
38:39Jackie Oshry:ancient bloodlines to see what's wrong with my thumb maybe you should write a memoir called thumb wars i love that back to joe manganello all tea all shade i love this man more than anything i've actually never wanted to read anything less um i don't think joe manganello is like a celebrity who's like really whose personal life and career is like really interesting enough for a memoir so I guess he had to take an alternate rote and tell us about his autoimmune disease but like I'm genuinely all set I have my own health issues I don't know if you guys heard the pre-facified banner like I certainly don't need to spend my leisurely time reading about someone else's and then once you hit once when I hear the word shaman personally I just shut down because that means the person I'm talking to is like deeply not serious and pagan rituals yeah demonic yeah I think that also when we talk about like chronic illnesses and autoimmune there is a reputation like for them being like fake and made up and i really do believe that they're very much real but i think in like celebrity culture people use like autoimmune disease like lyme disease they use it to i think a lot of times these autoimmune disease cover up anorexia it's like well you think you're not feeling well but it's because you're anorexic and you haven't eaten in three weeks um or like they do it for attention so i don't know i'm not saying that joe manginello is doing that i'm just
39:56Claudia Oshry:saying like i'm not interested in finding out no i agree no this seems like very serious it was like seven years of his life like debilitating and but i agree with you sometimes autoimmune diseases uses like a blanket to cover up like you know drug and alcohol abuse like a thousand it could be a million things but it's also like a very serious thing sometimes for real people yeah
40:16Jackie Oshry:yeah for real people so this is probably the first time i'll have like something first and last time i'll have something negative to say about joe manganella like i'm not reading but i love you Is it a picture book? Oh, and when we talk about organ amputation, which one?
40:32Claudia Oshry:Could be kidney, lung.
40:36Jackie Oshry:I guess we'll have to read the book to find out. Kidney or lung?

44:46Claudia Oshry:Thank you, Turtwide. You're welcome. Next, Lizzo's new album fails to chart as dismal first week sales have been revealed. Rolling Stone has reported that Lizzo sold just 2 ,649 copies of her new album, Bitch, and achieved just 2.7 million on-demand streams, according to music data company Luminate. In its second week, sales dropped to 650 units. Also, not one of the album's singles have become chart hits on the Billboard 200. Lizzo herself is speaking out against perceived changes in the music industry, saying the industry changed so much in the last three years. Streaming replaced radio and I was a radio darling.
45:26Claudia Oshry:That's how my fans discovered my music. She also said that the very obvious and public attack on her career has shifted the public's perception of her, you know. I just want to say it has, for sure. The lawsuit by three of her former backup dancers.
45:41Jackie Oshry:It has, for sure. but I feel like in culture, people like scandals come and go very quickly. And it's very rare that something sticks and really take someone down. We always say like, no one's really cancelable, but Lizzo has been such an interesting example. And I really think that a part of it, that's just not being said. Cause people are like, it's this, it's that it's radio. I think the music sucks. And that's, that's huge. Like, cause when you think about, there are a lot of artists, we're always saying so many people separate the art from the artists. Like you just like good songs. Like why should we be punished?
46:09Jackie Oshry:If she was releasing like true bangers, like people would just forget about it people forget about shit all the time like worse stuff than she did I think her music sucks and I think that there was also I read a huge article like people are like saying her label has sort of like left her out abandoned her yeah but the thing is is I feel like these days like yeah of course having a label behind you is huge and you can always tell when somebody's getting like pushed by the label it's annoying um so much of it is just like bootstrapping on TikTok like that's where and she does the most on TikTok these days she always was like the darling of TikTok and now she's like making you know TikTok's about Love Island just to like boost her yeah it's it's a dire out there but I think that what's not being said is like the
46:49Claudia Oshry:music is just not good yeah if the music were good like people would be listening to it people you know even I think about like Ariana Grande who's had like a worse PR nightmare over the last few years than her and people still stream the music because like when it's good it's good
47:03Jackie Oshry:no people just can't quit her and like you just you learn to just like grapple with whatever the accusations are everyone has i mean no but also like a bigger jackie who had a bigger scandal than morgan wallen like no everyone has huge things to chris brown well of course and then like you were i mean michael jackson r kelly yeah of course that's what i'm saying like for somebody to be taken out completely like wiped 2600 albums like wiped completely from the face of the universe it's a it's not just one thing but i think what's not really being spoken about is like the album being really bad now i do also want to say that i think people are really surprised like obviously 2600 is so low because we're used to like millions of albums sold but like when an artist like a rare like a famous artist not like taylor but like a regular artist it's always the the album purchases a successful album is considered like like around 50 000 it's not what it used to be because people stream now so i just a little bit of perspective it's not like everyone is selling
47:58Claudia Oshry:i wasn't expecting i wasn't expecting a million 50 000 is a lot yeah right but it's not like back
48:04Jackie Oshry:in the day like celine dion like millions and millions and millions because people don't buy albums anymore. The structure is different. Now, of course, when we compare to like Taylor and Adele and Beyonce, like when they, but like regular artists like around Lizzo's size, I think they do like 30 to 50. Okay. So she's very much falling short.
48:20Claudia Oshry:Of course. But it's not like everyone's doing millions.
48:24Jackie Oshry:Not one song, not one single on the Billboard 200. And I would love to know like what it really is. Perhaps it's just a perfect storm of the scandal, which she really didn't recover from well, but so many people go through so many scandals and so many bigger ones, honestly.
48:38Claudia Oshry:Or like, I just wonder, like, where are her fans? Like the people who were like her number one fans,
48:45Jackie Oshry:like back four years ago for her last album. I think that the effects of Ozempic on like Lizzo, the effects of Ozempic on culture have to be brought up here as well because what I think Ozempic showed the world is that like, well, yes, it's totally okay to be plus size. And if you are plus size, you should be treated like a human being. Like, but people who are plus size don't want to be plus size. They're not plus size for the most part by choice. So when this thing came that sort of gave you the option to not be anymore, which was never an option for most people, myself included, of course, most people are going to take it.
49:26Jackie Oshry:And I think a stunning indictment, I don't know if you saw, Trisha Paytas for Roe. I saw that she's doing GLP ones. I didn't know why that's a big deal. it's a big deal because she was very actually it's people are making it into a big deal but it's not she's a mom of three she's a working woman and she's was unhealthy and she just like literally she's like i just want to feel good she's like does her what i eat in a days now and she's just like she still eats a ton like she's like i'm not even skinny i'm just like trying to be healthier she does pilates she goes for walks every day um but it's caused like a huge everyone's freaking out like trisha paytas is on a glp1 but she reminds me a little bit of lizzo just like the face of this movement but i feel like trisha was like unwillingly the face she just like she struggled and wanted to look different lizzo is the place of this movement
50:13Claudia Oshry:i didn't even when i think of trisha paytas i don't think of her size no i actually just wanted
50:18Jackie Oshry:to talk about trisha paytas on glp1s that's actually neither here nor there lizzo was the face of this movement and the movement really is no longer a movement because when given the option most people took the drug because while yes we're embracing fat and fat is beautiful like it's not our first choice yeah so when you were actually for the first time given a choice of course you're going to take it yeah I think her her sort of messaging became a little irrelevant
50:44Claudia Oshry:I think I think when she like she blew up in such a way at the time that she did and her messaging and just her essence really touched on the zeitgeist of that moment yes yes and that moment has passed yep and she's failed to capture whatever moment we're in now I don't even know and the music doesn't speak to what we're now maybe it's still I haven't listened to it so maybe it's still doing that 2018 thing that you know everything is a phase every like but evolve or die and so no one wants to hear that message right now that's just not the vibe so if she didn't evolve she's stuck in the past and if she did and it's not good then it's just not good
51:26Jackie Oshry:It's just crazy because like three or four years ago, she was the most nominated artist at the Grammys that year.
51:31Claudia Oshry:Yeah, but I think if we think hard about it, there are probably a lot of other cases like this. I mean, it's the Kia Asylum. It's just we're all talking about it more because Lizzo is so talkaboutable. Yes, she is. She's that lightning rod. Yeah, people like talking about her. They like just pinning things to her, making her just like the symbol of a larger conversation. but look at the whole every cell at the Kia Asylum it's this yeah it is it's people with like who had a huge moment success who had a huge moment and then failed to follow up that's really all it is I don't think it's like a bigger conversation I just think like you know sometimes you even with influencers they go super viral they have to blow up so quickly and then like a few years later it's like well what are you doing now because that doesn't last forever right so I think that's just like natural yeah and 2600 at the end of the day if the saw if the music was good
52:31Jackie Oshry:people would be listening to it period the thing is though also i think a lot of artists have like major flops but the numbers don't become a headline when it's like why do we know this number right that's what i'm saying people also just like hate lizzo and like want to see rolling stone put it out she's the hater there why does rolling stone hate lizzo i don't know but like there are definitely artists who have major major flops numbers wise do you think it's because they think she's bananas i do think that this is like on like on the larger scale in terms of flops like people flop a lot but to not have a single single from the album chart like that's that's kind of
53:03Claudia Oshry:like disastrous yeah i just want to know like what happened between rolling stone and lizzo because it's like this wouldn't have been the story if they didn't report it yeah yeah it's true
53:15Jackie Oshry:um it's not even like it's like a billboard wrote it up who like does the charts like
53:18Claudia Oshry:Yeah. Or that someone noticed she didn't have a single song on the chart. Because otherwise, like, how do we get access to how many albums you sold? Down to the one. 2 ,649. It is publicly available information because we always know how many Taylor does. I guess just no one, like, always checks in.
53:38Jackie Oshry:Yeah, like, a week after the album releases and the charts come out, it has the numbers on it.
53:42Claudia Oshry:Okay. It does? Yeah. our fifth and final story a little nicks news jordan woods's lucky orange bag it's a place of honor at the guggenheim museum following the nicks big win is it actually staying there this
54:02Jackie Oshry:was just like a tiktok oh i don't know but um because she like had an interview that went viral saying like the bag needs to be in the guggenheim or the moma she was like listed a couple of museums so somebody got in on the viral moment i don't know if it's actually going to stay there
54:15Claudia Oshry:it probably won't stay there very long but maybe for a little bit her so jordan woods has her lucky orange bag that she wore to nearly every game leading up to their historic win and fans like
54:26Jackie Oshry:knew the bag and his lucky bag no no and the time she didn't they won all their playoff games like that's they were on a run they lost one game and she didn't bring the bag it's and the cool thing is that it's from her brand yes which is just like a great thing her brand is in the guggenheim woods by jordan yeah so i think like the whole bag thing has been really
54:47Claudia Oshry:fun obviously but like for a business owner it's a dream yeah it's obviously been completely sold out that's funny they won that's hilarious yeah really cute yeah and carl anthony towns like
55:00Jackie Oshry:whenever he's asked about it he's like oh you mean woods by jordan like he's always making sure the brand name gets in the headline it's actually so sweet that's really cute yeah they're really cute together. I wonder when they're getting married. Probably soon. Because basketball is a long season and they have to do it in the off season, which starts now. So you think they're going to get married before the next season? I feel like they'll maybe get married this summer. Yeah, he keeps calling her wifey. And she had her bachelorette party already. Oh, sorry. Yeah, they're definitely getting married today.
55:26Jackie Oshry:Oh, cute. That's something just to be on the look. Do you think Kylie will be there? Yeah.
55:30Claudia Oshry:What's the connection? Oh, Kylie. Sorry, I thought you meant Taylor. I don't know. I was just thinking about Taylor. Sorry. Of course.
55:36Jackie Oshry:We always are. Kylie will be there, yeah? if she's not there that's yeah she should be there based on what we know she should be there based on what we know but i'm just saying i know in my heart of heart like jordan has a little bit of hate in her heart for kylie but she shouldn't but they'll never be back where they were and like it's yeah and they shouldn't and it's good but i know that jordan like is resentful and i
55:56Claudia Oshry:feel like i feel like that's not fair and they shouldn't be at the level that they were because that like now they have like husbands and children of course they were like each other like that's What, are they going to live together again? No.
56:09Jackie Oshry:Agreed. All right, let's dive into La Yusa TV recap, Casa Amor, Night 3. We had probably the craziest challenge. And like, I'm sorry. We're starting every recap. Let me just get it out of the way. Let me get it out of the way. So disgusting, that like free-for-all freestyle orgy at the very end. The challenge was disgusting up until that point. And I have to, I can't lie, I barely watched. Like when I knew what the premise was, I was like, okay.
56:31Claudia Oshry:I genuinely was watching the whole time. I found myself, like if I was wearing pearls, I would have been clutching. clutching them i had my hand over my mouth like in shock the foot like so much feet it was insane
56:46Jackie Oshry:and the whole thing and i'm glad that like the editors sorry excuse me the producers like seem to be a little bit more heavy-handed this time because obviously they were very particular about who's going to win which challenge and it had to be a tie so that there was a freak off at the end it was literally a ditty party freak like it was so and it's about time they've like let the the islanders like they've let them be a little too much and that's how we've gotten in the support situation so yeah a little bit of heavy-handed editing i was down for editing not editing producing yeah um because it was just like a little too convenient you know and like we want zach to think that kata's really with this guy so it was smart yeah there were some of them where
57:19Claudia Oshry:i actually felt like it shouldn't have been that way like someone else needed to win to get that person like riled up yeah right like of course casey won over anaya so that she can like understand that he's moving on. Hopefully.
57:35Jackie Oshry:Hopefully, but probably still not. I do like KC and Tiara, but the way KC is acting in this Casa Amor, like he's up there with Sincere. Like he is bad news. The fact that he like had to sleep with Sydney the next night, like just to go back to Tiara, like why people think it's weird that she's not exploring? I feel like coming in and saying, you're my type, I like you, I'm here to see you, is so normal. and actually like should be a quality that he admires about her.
58:03Claudia Oshry:But instead it's like pissing him off. I really like her energy and her approach. I mean, it's just crazy that it's for Casey, but fine. But like, where's that energy for Caleb?
58:14Jackie Oshry:No, I feel sick. Parmita like jump ship so hard.
58:18Claudia Oshry:Parmita, he can't handle all that. Parmita and Corbin, like I like them.
58:23Jackie Oshry:The thing is, there's nobody here for Caleb. I know. I think that it probably was Kenzie. and I just think Kenzie is not who the producers thought she was going to be. Agreed with that. She's not who I thought she was going to be. I don't even know who the fuck she is. Like that conversation about sugar spice, everything nice with that freaky guy whose name I don't know, like was genuinely some of the most painful shit I've had to sit through. I agree, but I think you're great too. I'm a visual learner. Oh, he was, oh my God, he was messing. You are? Me too. He was messing with her.
58:49Claudia Oshry:Claudia, he was messing with her because he wanted to keep looking at her boobs.
58:52Jackie Oshry:Of course, of course. He goes, I'm a visual learner. She's like, you are? Me too. And he was like, yeah, same.
58:57Claudia Oshry:you just said that no I know but he was like being funny coy you know he was being funny it's like I'm a visual let me see those boobs again I actually I I like I didn't have an issue with him I like them together I think that they're a fit and I'm glad that Corbin has Parmita
59:14Jackie Oshry:I just need love for Caleb Kenzie like Kenzie is the sincere of the girl's side except that she doesn't have the power that sincere has like but she's low-key like you've what I've been waiting for who have you been waiting you haven't waited one second uh no i think what she meant was like
59:31Claudia Oshry:someone who is her type who she also like gets along with you know like they brought in caleb for her but she just like didn't connect with him and as much as like her and corbin were connected she kept saying like he's not her usual type and i think i mean we could see it it was all physical between them yeah like what the fuck did they talk about also like corbett like hates her like every time he gets asked about her he's like i haven't thought about her once why does he hate her she was nothing but nice to him obsessed i don't know so that was rude and yeah all the ogs are sort of like retreating back to one another bryce and trinity like very much are very are winning each other and they will win they will come back to each other it will be
1:00:14Jackie Oshry:very cute and then they will agreed agreed brinady is gonna be like brinady will take it all Casey is not coming back to Anaya Anaya is still a question mark and then Sincere is like is she a solidified question mark what does that even mean these guys also talk in so many analogies like Sincere is always being like she's chocolate chip cookie dough and I'm chocolate chip but like sometimes I like chocolate chip even Sol was like he's apple pie and I don't always like apple pie but maybe he's the apple pie that I like maybe he's a honey crisp apple
1:00:47Claudia Oshry:yeah the analogies are killing me Sincere does the craziest analogies. Sincere is the one.
1:00:52Jackie Oshry:I saw somebody say like last night's episode was sincere versus the English language. Like he can't talk. He's always like epitome. That was insane. Yeah. But who am I to judge? Of course. What else happened on last night's episode besides that freaky. Oh, and then like Caleb has been turned together with this random girl. What's her name? Jaden. She has pink eyes. Nobody else knows. She does. She's got some funky eye infection. Like, there she has. I was actually very worried. I hope it's not contagious. We need to get a medic on set.
1:01:27Claudia Oshry:Maybe from having someone's ass on her face. It was before, but yeah. In the heat rising challenge. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh, my God. Seriously. We need a medic. She looks sick. I didn't even notice. But, like, I won't hear a word of slander for anyone who's giving Caleb the diamond down. I know.
1:01:44Jackie Oshry:The thing is, and it pains me to say, it's like, Caleb has to go home. Like this is just not the place for him.
1:01:50Claudia Oshry:No, it's really.
1:01:53Jackie Oshry:It's not. Oh, and then Alana was in the episode for half a second. I'm fairly certain she's probably already home now. You said this. I don't know if you said it on the show. You texted me. But she's kind of like an important plot device for Zach V. Kada. And we need Zach to like kind of like her. So her being whisked away doesn't help the divide they're trying to create between Kada and Zach. So she will be sent home when the villa reunites.
1:02:16Claudia Oshry:No, but I think they're going to wait to see what Zach decides. And Zach is going to send her home. Yeah, right. Zach's going back with Kata. It's going to handle itself. But if she were there, they're going to wait to see if he will bring her to the villa. And then even if he did bring her to the villa, then the next day they would send her home. And he has to deal with the consequences. That would be great. Right. But he's not even bringing her.
1:02:38Jackie Oshry:So the guy that's Kata, and I don't know any of the new people's names. I know the girls, but I don't know the guys. The guy that Kata is chatting with. Okay, his name is Che. he looks just like Brian who won last season. Does nobody think that? Joey Camasta. Oh, and he looks like Joey Camasta. And why he looks most like Joey Camasta is because he's a little like fruity, no? Does nobody else think that he might be gay? The way he talks, he's like very, I think him and Kate are getting along because like he's a little swirly. Yeah, like does nobody else think that? I was just like. No, I didn't think that.
1:03:08Jackie Oshry:Maybe it was just that he looked like Joey Camasta that I thought maybe. There's a gay man. I thought he looked like Joey Camasta too. that's really funny um what else oh and then um anaya and carl like that's if she doesn't a really good match she is a fool though like i think that it's been made clear no no if she does pick him like i'll have respect for her but like and because i understand it's hard to leave your og it's like stockholm syndrome i get it but she has proven to us like time and time again that she is a fool I am almost certain that she will go back to Casey and he will bring back Tiara.
1:03:45Claudia Oshry:Yeah. And he should bring back Tiara. He really likes her and she's a great gal. I love her. I love her. Yes. Great crop. I really like them. I want more of them to come to the village. Yeah. Well, Parmita will be there. Parmita will be there.
1:04:00Jackie Oshry:Titi. Jaden will be there. Jaden will be there. I don't need Sydney. She freaks me out. That conversation about whipped cream, like she was like, do you do freaky stuff? toys and stuff in case he was like no but he's like such a big talker he's always talking about how he wants oh yeah but he's like no i don't use toys he's like i mean like have you done like whipped cream what the fuck was that i don't know i like her though but i don't think she's coming back me neither um and i don't think that alana is coming back either and then oh sincere and
1:04:32Claudia Oshry:amora amora okay so the thing is i actually get the vibe that sincere does not like her Oh, he's doing the soul thing again. No, but with soul, like I believed him. I really thought he liked her.
1:04:42Jackie Oshry:And you would have believed him now, except we just witnessed the soul gate. No, but every time he talks to respond to her and reciprocate her feelings, he hesitates a lot. And I don't know if it's the editing. They're trying to make us think that he's thinking about Melanie.
1:04:54Claudia Oshry:Yeah, I think that he's trying to explore for the sake of being an explorer. But he's going back to Melanie 100%.
1:05:02Jackie Oshry:And I hope that someone can get through to Melanie. I feel like, is it like allowed to tell what you've seen on TV? Because Corey, what's his name?
1:05:11Claudia Oshry:I don't know. Veneers. I don't know his name. I think it might be Corey.
1:05:16Jackie Oshry:Corey. Those are some of the craziest veneers I've ever seen. Like, honestly, they're enormous. He told Melanie like what they've seen on TV and like what, not the reception, but just like. I like what I've seen. No, but he also said like, I've seen about Sincere. like I feel like he was sort of hinting to her that she's coming off looking stupid because then in the confessional she was like I really don't want to look stupid interesting don't you feel like she's also changed so much from like the girl in the first week she was very crazy Huda Mustafa energy yeah and she's very calm now yeah but is it just the quiet in the eye of the storm there was a period where like Huda got quiet after the big storm like and she went to casa
1:05:58Claudia Oshry:and she partnered with Chris and yeah and then it all and we forgot about her for a second yeah yeah and then it blew up again so I I'm reserving judgment but I agree she's definitely been a little more tame but still her reactions are so big yeah someone when one of the girls like well she wasn't there for this but like true and trinity said she kissed someone and the girls are shrieking and it's like kata what do you mean you're shrieking that she kissed him she just sat on his face at the challenge no kata no wonder your voice is hoarse you are always screaming Oh, waste of money over a kiss.
1:06:28Claudia Oshry:When like literally I think someone might have given a live blowjob at the challenge. They actually had to cut a lot of stuff. Yeah, they cut away from Cormac and Parmita. Like I think he went down on her on television. Like I don't know. Like because what's stopping them from having sex? Yeah, it's kind of like last season with Huda and Ace. Like if one of them pulled down the pants and started giving a blowjob, like would they win the challenge? Probably, yeah. So like that's what's next. Really, it's like we are going to every base. We are rounding third. Yeah. Maybe next season. We'll be at the live orgy.
1:07:01Claudia Oshry:Like seriously, someone will get up there and have sex because that's what they're doing. Now we almost wrapped up the entire Love Island recap without bringing up Jen.
1:07:12Jackie Oshry:Well, because she's sort of like very cued off into the sunset. There's no one else there for either of them. So it's sort of like they need each other. And they like each other.
1:07:23Claudia Oshry:she chose him out of the 12 guys like that was her pick for her she likes him he's her type i think it's great great they have like actual conversation about like you know nonsense which is what people talk about just to hear like no and that's what you do in life like what do you like to do what do you like to do like just they talk instead of just always talking about like what the fact that they're talking that's what everybody else does it's like well are you talking about our conversations we're talking about the fact that we're having a conversation whereas let's just have a conversation.
1:07:55Claudia Oshry:How do you feel our conversations are going? Are you open to having a conversation? Are you open to having more conversations? This is a classic one. I really like our conversations. And I want to have more chats. Of course. Pull me for a chat. And I'm open to having more chats. And the cutest bombshell.
1:08:11Jackie Oshry:To seeing where the chats go. The cutest bombshell is Ronnie and no one's giving him the time of day. He had one conversation with Melanie but I don't think it was impactful.
1:08:19Claudia Oshry:Yeah, he sort of slipped through because he was there for Melanie but then Melanie swerved for Corey.
1:08:23Jackie Oshry:yeah and that's that on that and it's crazy like cory was the one who made out with trinity and now is with melanie when like i wouldn't have picked him dead last like it's just so funny how like people's tastes yeah yeah you know well that's our show it is thank you so much for listening to the toast the millennium morning show where we deliver the fast five stories that you need to know every Monday through Friday and YouTube so if you're watching us on YouTube please feel free to subscribe and give us a video a thumbs up we're also available as a podcast and where podcasts can be found.
