Automatic transcript. May contain errors.0:03Jackie Oshry:Good morning, girlies. It's the toast. It's Jackson Claude and we're your hosts. It's your favorite show. The fast five things you need to know. We'll start your day off swirly. It's the toast. I sound amazing. Welcome back to The Toast and happy Wednesday. That's right, it is hump day and you're not seeing double, you're seeing trouble. Yeah, that's right. We came to work today, did not drive together and look what happened. I paid the ultimate price. We both, Jackie walked in wearing the same sweater as me and a curler in her hair. I walked in wearing that same sweater and a curler in my hair.
0:43Claudia Oshry:Same sweater, same color.
0:45Jackie Oshry:Because we each have this sweater in two colors. And don't tell anyone I wore it yesterday.
0:48Claudia Oshry:And we could have been wearing a different color. Yeah. And maybe I would have been, but you took mine. Yes, I wore yours. No, I had planned to wear this color because it matched my shoes better. And lo and behold. It is what it is. I mean, it's just so crazy.
1:02Jackie Oshry:Of all the sweaters in all the world. You had to walk into the studio.
1:07Claudia Oshry:I have my reasoning for why I went with this one today. Oh, I have my reasoning too. I'm big as a house. I'm wearing like these form-fitting capris that I always like to wear with a cardigan. But I didn't want to wear a cardigan that was like too snug because there's.
1:19Jackie Oshry:You do not have to explain yourself. It's an amazing sweater. It's one of my favorite wears.
1:23Claudia Oshry:It's from Nudes. Shout out Nudes. Please make it in more colors. Yeah, a pink. So that things will happen less.
1:27Jackie Oshry:It's very boxy. It's very flattering.
1:30Claudia Oshry:It's called like the boxy moxie cardigan.
1:31Jackie Oshry:For a big woman, like I recommend this sweater.
1:35Claudia Oshry:Agreed.
1:35Jackie Oshry:It's an amazing sweater.
1:37Claudia Oshry:But I do plan to wear it as a small woman as well.
1:39Jackie Oshry:And I'm sure it's going to look just as good. That's the magic of this sweater.
1:43Claudia Oshry:Yeah, it's the sisterhood.
1:45Jackie Oshry:Of the traveling cardigan.
1:46Claudia Oshry:Please like make more colors, okay?
1:48Jackie Oshry:Yeah. And let's just like, you know, let's not get into like who wore it best. That's just not the types of game we want to play. It's also like, it's not a level playing field. Like I'm obviously like wearing this cardigan for two. It's just, no, you're not. It's just, it's not a level playing field. Dancing with the stars.
2:12Jackie Oshry:When do the episodes become one hour? Don't they? Like when there's less contestants? Really? When there's like five people left, there's still two hours. I think so. Because last night was the first night. give up that hour of advertisement last night was the first night where I was like there are too many people on this show there are we are due for a double I twist my arm a triple elimination I
2:30Claudia Oshry:can go for a double elimination but I fear that like Guillermo's gone no by the way I decided last night that I think Guillermo should win the mirror ball I think he should win but then the only thing that's stopping me is Ezra. Right. Like for me, it's Guillermo or Ezra to win the Mirror Ball.
2:50Jackie Oshry:For me, it's Ezra or Tatiana Ali, who is very quietly becoming my favorite contestant.
2:58Claudia Oshry:I have a lot. I have a good amount of like favorites.
3:01Jackie Oshry:I mean, there's a thousand people on the show. There's so many people there
3:03Claudia Oshry:and we just sort of need to drain the swamp a little bit.
3:06Jackie Oshry:Yeah, we do because I'm watching and I'm sort of becoming like detached. I'm like, who's next? I don't care. Like, I feel when the season first premiered, I could not wait to see the dances and now I'm like, oh, another person?
3:15Claudia Oshry:Yeah, another dance. Like, sorry, Pasha and Amber.
3:17Jackie Oshry:I'm sorry. Actually, that's like a hot take because people like Pasha and Amber. I feel like, sorry, who's on the show that I don't want to be mean saying? She doesn't want to say it.
3:28Claudia Oshry:I'll name them.
3:29Jackie Oshry:Who did you say? Pasha and Amber. Sorry, Harry Shum. Like, seriously. Except you brought Kurt and Mercedes to the ballroom last night, so you're doing your job.
3:39Claudia Oshry:So sometimes when I'm going through Dancing with the Stars Twitter, I see old clips of previous seasons of like amazing dances. So like Milo and Whitney. I saw one last night about, I believe, Jordan Fisher. People were obsessed with them. And Riley Arnold's older sister, Lindsay. And it was such an amazing dance. And it was big wheels keep on turning. And they were doing the jive. And it was incredible ballroom dancing. And like, I want to see that too sometimes. That level, yeah. And that's what Harry and Jenna are there for, to give us some like good dancing. And so I want to try and like appreciate them while they're there.
4:11Claudia Oshry:but they're just like not giving us iconic moments. But like, they're the only one, like Jordan Fisher was a good dancer and he became an amazing dancer and dancing with the stars. That's what Harry and Jenner are capable of. And like, we want to see good dancing too. Like I don't just want to see a fucking mess. Regular people. Putting a bow on and saying you tried your best.
4:28Jackie Oshry:Kind of like see enough regular people doing regular things in everyday life.
4:31Claudia Oshry:And everyone is there for a reason, but I do want, like, I feel robbed that I don't get to see this Jordan Fisher dance.
4:37Jackie Oshry:Well, maybe like it's so early in the season. It's only week three. Like maybe I, I know I'm like broken record. I feel like Tatiana Ali could get to a place where she's giving us Jordan Fisher level. Like she is so good. I was shook at her dance last night. Our first story is Dancing with the Stars, right? Our last story. It always is because like not everyone watches.
4:52Claudia Oshry:And we just sort of like play this game every week. We try not to talk about it. But you brought it up.
4:55Jackie Oshry:Because that's what I did last night. Yeah. I watched the long show on television.
4:59Claudia Oshry:Yeah. Me as well. We had dinner together. That was. It was nice. That was great. We got. Did we get manicures yesterday? Was that yesterday?
5:05Jackie Oshry:It was. Yeah. We got manicures. It's just a fun fact. you know here in Florida things are a little different Jeopardy's on at 7 30 like right before Dance with the Stars in New York it's seven o 'clock Jeopardy 7 30 Wheel of Fortune
5:19Claudia Oshry:here swapped interesting kind of threw I was like wait am I early it was 7 45 I'm like why savings why are we watching Jeopardy which is coming up so what does that mean we're springing backwards it just means that it will get dark earlier so like at five o 'clock it's dark great

5:36Jackie Oshry:Great. So this is where we all come depressed.
5:37Claudia Oshry:Yeah, it's kind of a bummer.
5:39Jackie Oshry:Major bummer. Oh, thanks for that. Yeah, sorry.
5:42Claudia Oshry:I don't know when that's happening. We probably have some time. But it's already naturally happening, as you can tell. Yes, and of course it's for the farmers. It's getting darker earlier.
5:50Jackie Oshry:We respect them.
5:52Claudia Oshry:Always.
5:52Jackie Oshry:Always and forever.
5:53Claudia Oshry:They keep this country moving. 1 ,000%. And grooving.
5:56Jackie Oshry:So if I have to struggle with my mental health for the farms, then I'll do it because that's what it takes to be an American. Absolutely. So we got manicures yesterday. We got the same exact nail color. We're wearing the same exact sweater.
6:10Claudia Oshry:Thankfully, we're wearing different pants and shoes.
6:13Jackie Oshry:Yeah, I went for like a chocolate brown pant when you went for black.
6:16Claudia Oshry:Yeah.
6:16Jackie Oshry:So we're so different. Like that's what...
6:18Claudia Oshry:And then these are my shoes, which I just thought matched perfectly.
6:20Jackie Oshry:They do, they do. And because I went with chocolate brown, I'm wearing like a brown Louis Vuitton sandal. So I'm not bending down to pick up my shoe, but just trust that they're like sick.
6:27Claudia Oshry:They are.
6:28Jackie Oshry:Such a plight of being a petite woman, and of course I mean vertically, not horizontally, is every pair of pants you own, like you have to get hemmed. Yeah. Like that's insane. I know. Shout out to the companies that do petite. Like Topshop was always doing like petite jeans. Abercrombie does it really well. But I'm wearing these cool Aritzia pants. They're pooling on the ground.
6:46Claudia Oshry:Yeah.
6:46Jackie Oshry:I have like a pile of pants in my closet.
6:48Claudia Oshry:Am I really expected to tailor a pair of pants from Aritzia? But what's crazy is like moving through sizes the way that I am on both ends of the spectrum. Like I have so many pairs. Every time I get a new, I'm getting a new pair of pants like every month. Yeah. It's not supposed to be like that.
7:04Jackie Oshry:No, and I just feel like going to the tailor is reserved for when I get invited to the Met Gala. Going to the tailor is not an everyday thing.
7:10Claudia Oshry:No, but getting your clothes tailored, your everyday clothes tailored is an elite level.
7:14Jackie Oshry:It's extremely indulgent, in my opinion.
7:16Claudia Oshry:No, but I think it's a small thing that makes a huge difference.
7:20Jackie Oshry:That's what it was used to say on Fashion Police. George Stephanopoulos, Katsiopoulos, was always saying the tailoring on here is impeccable.
7:26Claudia Oshry:Yeah.
7:26Jackie Oshry:What happened to him? I think he's still... Styling? You think? Is he Katsyopoulos or Stephanopoulos?
7:35Claudia Oshry:There's two different ones. Stephanopoulos is like a newsman.
7:38Jackie Oshry:I got a manicure next to him in the city one time.
7:40Claudia Oshry:I remember.
7:41Jackie Oshry:It was like kind of amazing. I couldn't believe he was getting a manicure like in public. Not that there was anything wrong with men getting manicure. No, like a nice like, you know, touch up. Like I like men, like when you have gross hands, like it's gross. But it was just.
7:51Claudia Oshry:I want you to have nice hands, but I don't want to witness you getting a manicure.
7:54Jackie Oshry:The process of the nice hands coming to life.
7:56Claudia Oshry:They should do it at the barber.
7:58Jackie Oshry:Yes, I think a lot of people do get their nails done at the barber.
8:00Claudia Oshry:Okay, good. because I don't want to witness it and don't come into like the non-dominated spaces. Agreed, agreed. And take up a chair and put your foot.
8:07Jackie Oshry:That's true. Don't bring your fungus into our like our foot baths. Into our sacred place. That's true. But he didn't get a pedicure. He just got as far as I know. And I was like, is that George Katsiopoulos, Stefanopoulos? But George Katsiopoulos was on Fashion Police and he was there because he was like a celebrity stylist. What happened to him?
8:25Claudia Oshry:You say so.
8:26Jackie Oshry:Yeah. Like I would say like they need to bring back Fashion Police, but they actually really don't. People can't handle.
8:32Claudia Oshry:No, no, no. Because what they would bring back would be a pile of dreck. No, it would be very sensitive. Like you can't say you don't like someone's dress. No, no, it would not be good. If they wanted to bring it back in its original form, like hot takes.
8:44Jackie Oshry:Resurrect Joan from the dead.
8:46Claudia Oshry:That would be amazing. But no one's going to do that. No. Why would anyone do that?
8:49Jackie Oshry:Right. And yeah, Joan was one of one.
8:52Claudia Oshry:Yeah.
8:52Jackie Oshry:Where people like wanted to be arrested by her.
8:54Claudia Oshry:And sort of uncancellable.
8:56Jackie Oshry:Ugh.
8:58Claudia Oshry:My queen. Mm-hmm.
9:00Jackie Oshry:I feel that perhaps we dive in just because like I want to talk about Dancing with the Stars.
9:05Claudia Oshry:Okay, if you say so. Unless is there anything else you want to chat about? If you say so. No, no, no. We can get into the stories. And if anything else comes up, you know, I'll find my way. Of course. I'll feel free to speak my truth.
9:16Jackie Oshry:And we always do. And that's what this show is all about. Like a safe space to speak your truth.
9:20Claudia Oshry:A safe space to divert from the stories, you know.
9:22Jackie Oshry:How are the stories? Dreadful?
9:26Claudia Oshry:Because you said yesterday and they were like not bad. No, they weren't. So I would say these are like the sort of day where I didn't know which one's number one.
9:32Jackie Oshry:Oh, that's like kind of a really bad indicator of, oh, I want to say something. It's just like something I've noticed being in Florida for three days. And I like I love Instacart. I'm their number one shopper. I do it all the time in the city. It's so different here. Like I feel that the shoppers take so much care with my order. Like I feel that they really want me to be happy. You know, I've done like I'm like embarrassing like three orders since I've gotten here. I have one going right now and like they're literally sending me so many pictures like they don't have this but they have this and in New York like you get what you get and you don't get upset and it's more speaks like the mentality of New Yorkers they're like seriously go fuck yourself you're ordering groceries from an app like you'll get what you get and they literally will not move in the store until you answer them like so thoughtful here really
10:13Claudia Oshry:oh wow I guess I'm just used to it because that's what I expect like from my Instacart because that's been my experience I didn't know other people had it so negative
10:22Jackie Oshry:yeah and then like I met my shopper yesterday like in the city like do you guys get drinks? it's kind of like a faceless nameless thing but i was like chatting with him and that also means
10:32Claudia Oshry:like there's no accountability like you don't have to look at one in the eye and tell them that you
10:35Jackie Oshry:got them the wrong yogurt and no human connection um and i think it really like i felt so inclined i went into the app and i increased my tip because it was just like such a lovely man like just connecting with me it's all about human connection at instacart it really is and i think that is a part of like small town living a thousand percent i'm definitely feeling the
10:52Claudia Oshry:benefits of small town living over here with my movie like I love my movie she leaves the big city
10:58Jackie Oshry:and she falls in love with her instacart driver I love it I love it I'm so glad yeah thank you for that sweet anecdote yeah it's like something I've noticed there I like I feel like I feel like I feel like whatever I'm giving them is not enough like I'm they're just like they're so they care
11:12Claudia Oshry:about me so much that's really how I feel and you feel like you're getting all your items exactly
11:15Jackie Oshry:as you wanted and if I'm not I know about it like sometimes in New York you order an instacart and you open it you're like oh this is someone else's order but it's like no they just kind of like took liberty sometimes they don't even tell you that they're doing replacements i'm telling you let me just chat with because i have like kind of an order going in right now with my friend oh he's
11:29Claudia Oshry:headed okay we're all good once i place the order i don't check the app again so that's your mistake no i don't have notifications on for the instacart like and that so whatever will be will you're kind of like a nightmare customer but i'm also like but i didn't don't complain if i didn't get and
11:44Jackie Oshry:then i saw that he tried to chat to me right right he tried to chat to you he tried to pull you for a shot yeah no one thing about me I'm very open to being pulled for chats because I like want what
11:54Claudia Oshry:I want I'm very specific I don't even have instacart notifications on so I wouldn't even know that's insane unless I'm like drilled in being like I need this sour cream and right this one
12:03Jackie Oshry:specific right I'm very specific like you can't just get me like yogurt like I need the one yogurt that I will eat so I'm kind of have to be glued to my phone and that's where like my whole mission to become more mysterious gets a little dicey because I'm like chatting with my instacart chopper all day long yeah so did you get what you need everything what did you need food snacks i got chocolate covered pretzels oh yeah things for food of course um because it's never really about me it's just about him um and you know things just to survive yeah i'm hungry do you always i did have breakfast but i feel that that doesn't have a bearing on the level of hunger like because like yesterday we sat down for lunch and we were so hungry and we were like this is the first time we've eaten all day.
12:43Jackie Oshry:Like I did have like a breakfast and a half, but I feel that that's not an indicator of how hungry I was, you know?
12:50Claudia Oshry:Yeah, you don't need an excuse. I'm just wondering like what you had for -
12:53Jackie Oshry:I had a bagel.
12:54Claudia Oshry:Breakfast, yum. Yeah, it was okay. Okay. Yeah. We're not known for our bagels.
13:00Jackie Oshry:You're not, but you are known for your Instacart shoppers.
13:02Claudia Oshry:You can't have it all. You can't. Without further ado to do to do, it is time for the Fast Five stories that you do need to know.
13:10Jackie Oshry:And the Fast Five stories that you need to know are brought to you by Fashion Pass. We have been Fashion Pass girlies for years. In case you don't remember, it is a clothing rental service that actually has cute clothes. It's a very groundbreaking service. If you know other clothing rental services, you know it can be so hard to find either clothes that are in stock or clothes that aren't fugly. With Fashion Pass, you will not have that problem. The clothes come in like new condition. It feels like you're shopping on your favorite retail site. It's a toaster-owned, toaster-run website, which we absolutely love.
13:35Jackie Oshry:And they have pardy brands, like literally brands that you would shop at a store right now. Farm Rio, Show Me Your Moo Moo, for Love and Lemons, Free People. They also have tons of new arrivals for fall that we are obsessed with. It's a great way to shop economically. It's a great way to keep a wardrobe, kind of cycle through so you're not wearing the same sweater two days in a row, and without breaking the bank or without busting open your closet. So the best part is that you get 10 items a month for$125. It's two shipments of five items each. You could swap out your picks, and you're not stuck with the same items all month long.
14:03Jackie Oshry:So you don't have to basically plan your life a month in advance because we're just not doing that. So it's literally$12.50 an item if you do the math, which is really crazy. Not to mention, it's also just a better deal than any other rental service out there. And in my opinion, they have the best clothes, like clothes that you would shop online right now. So head to fashionpass.com. Our code toast will get you your first month of Fashion Pass for just$49. It's the best discount out there, so all of our fellow cardboard kojis and of course everyone else can start renting. Head to fashionpass.com.
14:29Jackie Oshry:The code is T-O-A-S-T to get your first month of Fashion Pass for just$49. Today's episode is also brought to you by Roback. The air is starting to feel like fall, which means we officially enter the phase of the year, but we want to be more comfortable at all times. But we also don't want to look like we've completely given up on life. And that's where Roback's new Aspire sets come in. It's a matching half-zip sweatshirt and pants that are so, so dangerously soft. It's the kind of soft where you put them on and suddenly every other pair of pants you own feels really aggressive. So the pants have a very cute stripe detail down the leg, very like Sue Sylvester but in a cool girl kind of way.
14:58Jackie Oshry:Sue Sylvester meets like Kendall Jenner. It gives them a really bit like a retro 90s feel that Roback does really well. It makes the whole set feel a lot more styled and elevated. And they also have a shorts version of the Aspire set. They did it this spring. It sold out in a week. So everyone's obsessed with it. And now they're coming out with like a colder version, which we appreciate because the colder weather is upon us. Thank God. Sweater weather. Now that they made the fall version, it's exactly what we want to wear right now. The half zip is very cute and flattering. The pants are very comfortable.
15:20Jackie Oshry:And the whole thing gives you a very specific look of like, yes, I'm wearing sweats, but they're nice sweats. You can wear the full set to run errands, grab coffee, or just the perfect travel outfit. They both obviously work separately. You can just wear the half zip or the sweater on their own. Like you could put the half zip with jeans or like the pants with a t-shirt or sweater. It's very easy, low effort, but still very chic. So we're loving everything. Fall from Roback. We love Roback. We love their Bedford Mock Neck. If you're into like your active era, they have great biker shorts, great sports bras, great sets.
15:47Jackie Oshry:Use code TOAST on Roback for a generous 20 % off your first order through the end of this week. That's Roback, R-H-O-B-A-C-K.com. The code is TOAST. Today's episode is also brought to you by Parallel. So Parallel is a great brand for women. We love them. We use a lot of their products. And I think if you are into supplements or if you're into vitamins or prenatals, then you know about the folic acid problem, which is a cheap synthetic form of folic acid that most drugstore prenatals use. The one type of cheap, even cardboard koji would not recommend. Your body basically has to convert that folic acid to folate before it can actually use it.
16:25Jackie Oshry:And a lot of people are born with this thing called the MTHFR, Mother Effer variant, like 60 % of women. that conversion basically doesn't happen. So you could be taking a prenatal every single day and not be getting the folate that you need. And folate is so important, especially in pregnancy. So Parallel uses methylfolate, which is an already active form of folate. There's no conversion required. There's no gene roulette. It's just the form your body can use. So literally 100 % of people can take it. Why it matters is because folate is one of the most talked about nutrients in pregnancy for a reason.
16:55Jackie Oshry:It's really foundational for early development. It's not like a nice to have upgrade thing. It's really like a fundamental thing that you need. And Parallel is helping everyone. It was also just a brand that's engineered by an OBGYN. They have a panel of maternal fetal medicine doctors. It's the exact type of gap that they built the brand to close. So all of their products for women are just like really pardy. Jackie takes their electrolytes. I take their prenatals. It's really a great brand. And their prenatals actually build by trimester, which I like. So if you're pregnant, trying or postpartum, check out Parallel.
17:22Jackie Oshry:And we have an exclusive code where new customers can use code toast to get 20 % off their first order at parallelhealth.com slash toast. That's P-E-R-E-L-E-L health.com slash toast. Today's episode is also brought to you by Squarespace, the all-in-one website platform designed to help you stand out and succeed online. 18:49Claudia Oshry:Thank you, Terp Maine.
18:50Jackie Oshry:You are most welcome.
18:51Claudia Oshry:Our first story, Travis and Jason Kelsey are giving their candid reactions to Taylor Swift's new song, Cleveland. Oh. As the Cleveland Boys.
18:59Jackie Oshry:I saw that Kyle Juszczyk was on this week's episode. I thought that's what you were talking about.
19:03Claudia Oshry:Oh, Kyle Juszczyk is on this week's episode. However, Travis and Jason discussed the new track on their episode. They said, Travis said, Cleveland is rocking right now. He's such a dab. He said, shout out to Tay Tay for making that song. Just giving the city a little more life. Then Jason shared that he and Kylie have been rocking out around the house to the track. He said, that song is incredible. Kylie and I have been listening to it so much. There's just something about it that makes you feel real good. It's a great song.
19:31Jackie Oshry:Well, that must be nice for Kylie and Jason to be able to listen to a song about Travis that's not about his penis. I imagine they couldn't rock out around the house to wood. So this is great for them and the family.
19:43Claudia Oshry:But she did. She like made that her Instagram bio and like.
19:46Jackie Oshry:Yeah, like a Japanese.
19:48Claudia Oshry:Like a red.
19:49Jackie Oshry:Yeah, making fun of like basically calling Jason's penis small. Huge. Oh. I think she was calling it huge.
19:56Claudia Oshry:I thought she was calling it small.
19:57Jackie Oshry:Oak tree. Oh, that joke went over my head, but okay.
20:02Claudia Oshry:Right? What kind of tree did she think it was? Is that still her bio? Definitely not.
20:07Jackie Oshry:Because what kind of tree did Taylor describe Travis's penis as? Kylie Kelsey. see let's get to the bottom oh big fan of japanese maples yeah i feel like a japanese maple is really small i don't think so japanese maple tree let's see yeah it's like a bonsai oh well i'm seeing mixed signals like in terms of a picture
20:27Claudia Oshry:i know i think they're big it's a small slow growing ornamental
20:33Claudia Oshry:funny funny it's delicate hand-shaped leaves and brilliant seasonal colors that is funny
20:39Jackie Oshry:and it's still her bio I like that that is funny but so random yeah but okay I'm glad like that's really funny so they did get in on the on the wood joke but I don't think that they could like stream it you know as much as their hearts desire yeah but Cleveland is cute it must be fun to be like from such a random place like Cleveland like that's random it's just not like you know New York LA Chicago Boston and like now there's like a Taylor Swift song about it like if and they're so proud of where they're from this is exciting Cleveland Heights I do feel like Cleveland people
21:08Claudia Oshry:are happy people. I agree. You know, we discussed in Liz Lemon, like. Yes, right. That's the best episode of Cleveland. When you're having a Cleveland day. When I'm having a Cleveland day. Like, Lemon, everyone wants to move to Cleveland.
21:19Jackie Oshry:But then in the episode where Lemon actually does move to Cleveland, it's not all it's cracked up to be because she kind of yearns to be like a miserable New Yorker, which I totally relate to.
21:27Claudia Oshry:Yeah, yeah. Cleveland has a lot of lore, all is to say.
21:30Jackie Oshry:I've been to Cleveland.
21:32Claudia Oshry:Have I? In my mind, I have in my dreams.
21:36Jackie Oshry:Yeah, but I actually have in the real world, which is cool. And what did you find? So I was in Columbus, Ohio. And I think I was also in Cleveland, yeah. I found it to be extremely charming. The land of the Cleve. Yeah. I did a couple of shows. And I remember thinking, it's a nice place. You could live there? I pretty much liked everywhere that I went.
21:55Claudia Oshry:Yeah.
21:56Jackie Oshry:It's not like I went somewhere and literally hated it. Let me think. Oh. I don't want to start with you people. Oh, I did not enjoy my time in the Pacific Northwest. Thank you so much. Let's start. Actually, I did like Seattle. Like, I see, I didn't want to live there.
22:12Claudia Oshry:It's so Elle Woods of you.
22:13Jackie Oshry:I didn't want to live there, but I saw, like, why it has, like, lore and hype. And it was cool. Like, yeah. Portland was definitely the only place I went to where not only did I not want to live there, I never wanted to return. And I know that we have listeners in Portland, and that must be difficult for you to hear. But I do feel that. That must be difficult for you. Period. I do feel that people from Portland, specifically people who listen to the show, like, they know. they know that they're in trouble. And I ended up near the, what was it called? The Chaz? Yeah, or was it Chop? No, I know it ended in a Z because it was something, something zone.
22:48Claudia Oshry:Chaz. There was two zones in the PNW at one point.
22:51Jackie Oshry:Yeah, it's like a very politically active climate. And I think a lot of, I think a lot of the - It's a politically active climate. Yeah, but it is. And I think a lot of people who like live there are like really passionate about random, not random, I'm like different. and so when I was there they were kind of there was a trend of people it was like um like anti authority establishment so they sort of like moved onto the streets and created these like lawlessness zones safe to say I like really got out of there as quickly as I could um but yeah they wanted me to be their mayor in the chas and I said guys I can't obviously I I like the establishment well I have my problems with it of course but you want to live within the frame but I like the rules yeah I like the framework exactly I'm sort of like a framework type of gal that's where we sort of differed understood peacefully but that is the only place I went and didn't like
23:43Claudia Oshry:okay yeah that's how I remember it no you're right thank you for reminding me I can't believe
23:48Jackie Oshry:I went to Portland like that's insane that's insane and it was like it was a long trip because I did Portland Seattle and Vancouver I did a leg yeah and so I was not home for a really long time um and it started in Portland it went Portland Seattle Vancouver started poor I'm sorry it also started in LA. That's where the leg. Yeah.
24:07Claudia Oshry:Other places in California. I can't remember. Definitely. It's a big state. I remember San Francisco.
24:12Jackie Oshry:I did San Francisco and San Diego, but I think that might've been a separate trip.
24:15Claudia Oshry:Got it. Got it.
24:16Jackie Oshry:Yeah.
24:17Claudia Oshry:Um, also say the Cleveland's dates are liking Cleveland.
24:21Jackie Oshry:Well, that's good. Cause the song is pretty much like for you.
24:23Claudia Oshry:Oh, you guys, I have an update. Like Babylon is my favorite song maybe ever. Yeah. I know. I think I listened to it in the car seven times yesterday me too and then this morning I listened like I'm trying not to listen to it on repeat one because I don't want then you'll start to hate it
24:37Jackie Oshry:yeah but I love it I love it it got me on like a Taylor Swift vault track kick this morning I did all of 1989 which is seriously like some of the best music I do that all the time it's insane and then I had forgotten about the vault track that like is so beautiful um when when Emma falls in Love is that what it's called yeah about Emma Stone like that song is so if somebody ever wrote a song like that about me I would die I feel like Emma Stone like doesn't talk about it enough because if that were me like I would not stop talking about it yeah I don't even know if I know that one Emma met a boy with eyes like a man turns out the world fits right in the palm of his hand it's about Andrew Garfield and her which like obviously maybe that's why she doesn't talk about it as much as I would because it's like this heartbreak but it's the sweetest song it's like literally the nicest things you could say about someone all in a song that's so nice yeah i
25:29Claudia Oshry:listened to a little ttpd after because i was just trying to like get the vibe babylon is very ttpd um and i do feel like it sounds so familiar i'm trying to like figure out which song that they all sound really familiar yes like all your favorite artists have a sound you know like all the eagle's just noise the same absolutely all john mayer songs are like sounding the same John Mayer at the Sphere. John Mayer at the Sphere. John Mayer at the Sphere. We're talking about it. We're talking about it. Like we kind of want to go to Las Vegas. I mean, you know I love Vegas.
25:58Jackie Oshry:I've been planting seeds like within the family. Olivia was like extremely down. Your husband was so down. He's been wanting to see the Wizard of Oz at the Sphere. So I'm like, okay, I'll go with you to that if you come with me. Like I think unfortunately.
26:07Claudia Oshry:You know, I'm always down. Yeah, I wasn't worried about you. Like I stay with a bag packed for Vegas.
26:11Jackie Oshry:But it's like it's going to be a big thing. Like I think we all kind of need to start planning now. Like I really want to go. even though I feel like I would get dizzy in the sphere.
26:19Claudia Oshry:Me for sure.
26:20Jackie Oshry:Yeah, look, I don't think you can go.
26:21Claudia Oshry:I won't. I'll babysit. Yeah, okay, fine. Yeah, yeah, yeah. No, that's perfect. I don't want to go to the sphere. I want to go to Vegas. Yeah, right, okay. Viva Las Vegas. Viva Las Vegas.
26:34Jackie Oshry:Vegas would be like a good theme for Dancing with the Stars. Vegas night. Better than Yacht Rock. I also think last night's episode was boring because like the music was not compelling. I knew most of the songs, but Yacht Rock is supposed to be like background music. Like it was not vibey. It wasn't hyping me up at all. Put a pin in it.
26:50Claudia Oshry:I'm not responding to those charges. Oh my God.
26:53Jackie Oshry:Because it's only three. How about this? Because like this is supposed to be an equal partnership. How about next week we try it first? Number one? Yeah. Okay. Okay. Someone remind us next week.
27:02Claudia Oshry:Our next story, Verity premiered in New York last night. Anne Hathaway pregnant on the carpet, Dakota Johnson and more.
27:10Jackie Oshry:I really feel bad for Anne Hathaway. Like I know she's doing this all by choice. But like, I really want her to lay down.
27:17Claudia Oshry:Yeah, it's getting to a point, you know. I actually saw an amazing clip of her. Which one?
27:21Jackie Oshry:Someone was like, how are you? Like, are you okay? And she was like, I'm completely fine. Like, there are a lot of pregnant women who don't get their nails done in their hotel room this morning that the studio paid for. She was like, I'm completely fine. Stop worrying about me. And I was like, oh, okay.
27:34Claudia Oshry:Worry about the pregnant traffic cops.
27:36Jackie Oshry:Yeah, exactly. So that's exactly what she was saying. The pregnant traffic cops. I love that. She did not want one ounce of like, but even though like, I just still feel for her. Like, I know she's tired. mostly because obviously like being a traffic cop or like it's not a physically laborious job that she does but like those dresses the corsets the undergarments the shoes and nobody feels sorry for you correct because you're like uh an actress yeah but i think if she didn't want to go like
27:59Claudia Oshry:she doesn't have to go to everything so i feel like she does have to go to the verity premiere
28:04Jackie Oshry:she's anne hathaway yeah however long you think she is she like looks full term yeah like i think it's gonna be a few weeks i think so she looks great she's she does and what's crazy is like in
28:16Claudia Oshry:this movie her and dakota are twins right that's the point but like now dakota's taylor's twin yeah i know or ann hathaway and taylor twins no that's confusing i know dakota has a lot of twins
28:27Jackie Oshry:maybe she's the chameleon i think that i'm like so ripe to see verity one because i read the book and loved it but too like i sort of i remember like the framework of the book i know there's like a big twist at the end details like i don't really remember like is she awake like i don't remember 100 is dakota johnson like going crazy i don't know so i'm sat for the for the cinematic premiere yeah and i do think it will be like gone girl when the book was so the book was so amazing
28:57Claudia Oshry:no no in terms of the book was so amazing like broke records everything verity is like literally the biggest book ever and then the movie was amazing and awards and everything and i think
29:05Jackie Oshry:that could happen here yeah dakota johnson like does have like a bad picker for films like I would say that not every movie she chooses is guaranteed to be a good one. Anne Hathaway, though, like pretty much does guarantee that. No flops. No flops. No flops to speak of. I can't really speak to like Josh Hartnett's discography because I've only seen Pearl Harbor and that was like actually 30 years ago. But it was a good one. Great one. I feel confident because of Anne Hathaway, but I'm a little doubtful of like Madam Web. Remember that?
29:33Claudia Oshry:Okay, but for every Madam Web, there's How to Be Single. You love that movie.
29:37Jackie Oshry:Fucking love that movie. And that's why I know and like Dakota Johnson because I never saw Fifty Shades.
29:42Claudia Oshry:And Fifty Shades is a good, it's definitely a script you say yes to every time. They just did a bad job because they hated each other and it was like not ship worthy for the biggest romance ever. Yeah.
29:53Jackie Oshry:And it was supposed to be someone else, right? Not him. Charlie Hunnam.
29:57Claudia Oshry:Yeah. I think they were both miscast.
29:59Jackie Oshry:Well, it is, I hate to, you know, go down my rabbit hole, but it is really crazy that Dakota Johnson got that role. Never acted a day in her life. nobody ever heard of her to like megastar parents gets the big it didn't end up being like what twilight was but it was supposed to be like this enorm it was pretty successful but it was supposed
30:16Claudia Oshry:to be this like it was culture shifting but for some reason like it just doesn't stick well e-movie
30:22Jackie Oshry:we love they are paying their bills they love that movie it is always on e any like say they love it and it was just cheap rice like 1000 any like clip i've seen of it it's because it was on e-movies we love.
30:33Claudia Oshry:Yeah. Okay. Next story. We actually are talking about this again because new details have emerged. I've been sent this 1000 times. I have been sent this, send this to Jackie. So just so you guys know, I've seen this. Dove Cameron's wedding was officiated by Kenny Ortega, who is the greatest director of our time and the director of Descendants and obviously a close personal friend. And I would say mentor of Dove's. And I know you sort of historically dislike when
30:58Jackie Oshry:people have like non-religious figures or non-authority figures, non-serious figures, celebrities. I know you didn't like when Adam Sandler did Taylor's wedding. This is like a pet peeve of yours. So how do you sort of grapple with the pet peeve and your two favorite people?
31:14Claudia Oshry:I would say that Kenny Ortega is a religious figure and an authority figure. And he falls into like the few celebrities that I will accept as a wedding officiant. Who else? Andy Cohen. Yeah. Chris Harrison. They were going to say Kris Jenner. I thought I'm thinking about Kris Jenner, but it's too sticky. And like, let her just have a cocktail and sit in. She doesn't want to officiate your wedding. Yeah. So I would say there are a couple like almost host like people. Yeah. Who they host and that's their job. And so it doesn't bother me when they officiate a wedding. And I will put Kenny Ortega in that category because he's like a serious professional.
31:50Jackie Oshry:And I think I don't know much about their relationship, but I would say he's probably like took a paternal role in her life like as this young girl on the Disney Channel yes and of course
31:58Claudia Oshry:when you think of the Disney Channel and like child actors you think negative worse and it's so nice to see that of everyone in the world that she chose him that even if she might have a complicated relationship with her Disney past yeah she loves Kenny yeah and we don't even give
32:15Jackie Oshry:because we give Kenny a lot of credit right like for creating actually like some of the most amazing works of art in our time and what we don't give them enough credit for because like we shouldn't credit people for just like not being pedophiles is like not a singular allegation not a toxic workplace not an inappropriate touch um and i hate to you know pat someone on the back for not being like a criminal pedophile but in this day and age huge win to be like a huge figure in kids he's basically like what dan schneider was to nickelodeon entertainment and children's entertainment and to not have like a singular sort of mark against you.
32:48Claudia Oshry:And I'll say beyond that, not even nothing against him. On every movie that he's worked on and every project, that's not really where we've heard. Yeah, it's not even like there's allegations around. He doesn't hire bad people. As far as we know and everything that we've heard, like High School Musical, we've not heard. Bad Things About Descendants, we have not heard. Dirty Dancing. Dirty Dancing. I think there's a couple other things people are always sending me that he directed.
33:16Jackie Oshry:It's that time of year where we pull up Kenny Ortega's IMDB to see what else besides High School Musical he has done.
33:23Claudia Oshry:I think he did like Michael Jackson's tour.
33:26Jackie Oshry:Okay, like that's not really where he knows I know him from.
33:28Claudia Oshry:That sort of goes against like what we just said.
33:30Jackie Oshry:Oh, that is really true, Jackie.
33:33Claudia Oshry:But you know what? I just don't want to like go down that path. Hocus Pocus.
33:37Jackie Oshry:Descendants. Oh, your favorite show. My Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. he directed it one episode I like who remembers Bunheads I remember it
33:47Claudia Oshry:I didn't watch it
33:47Jackie Oshry:Cheetah Girls we're Cheetah Girls Cheetah Sisters and Montana Best of Both Worlds concert oh my god he also directed 12 episodes of Gilmore Girls Ally McBeal like where is his Lifetime Achievement Award he definitely has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame right he did a Rocky Horror picture show he did a lot of Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton like specials made for TV he's like literally him and Jane Lynch should get married. The hardest working man and woman in Hollywood.
34:15Claudia Oshry:Yeah. And to know that like all's well. And Dove is so like alt now. So like, and Kenny's kind of corny. Yeah. And that she still chose him. Her mainstream king. Her mainstream main skin king.
34:27Jackie Oshry:What do you think the main skin guy in Kenny like got to chatting about? I think the love of music. It's true. It's sort of a universal language. And you know what? Eurovision is very Kenny coded. One thousand percent. So it's my. Even though like main skins aesthetic like within Eurovision. wasn't.
34:42Claudia Oshry:1 ,000%. But you still went on Eurovision.
34:45Jackie Oshry:It's true.
34:45Claudia Oshry:Just like Dove is Descendants. And maybe that connects them. Like, oh, we have this corny thing in our past.
34:51Jackie Oshry:Right. It was a beautiful wedding.
34:53Claudia Oshry:It was. It looked great. And I just, I thought that was really beautiful. And you can mark me as having known now knowing that Ken is officiated.
35:01Jackie Oshry:And I've been meaning to bring this up because a lot of people want to get to you through me, especially like people, because you know, I don't know if I mentioned this yesterday, I have 400 ,000 followers on TikTok. And so they'll like tag me send this to Jackie they send you stuff on TikTok I'm sorry that's happening and the thing is is like I've probably already shown it to her and two like I'm just not doing that I'm like very lazy so I feel that that Jackie's that's why I'm saying like I'm too accessible I'm too reachable I need you guys to start just like sending that shit straight to Jackie yeah but
35:34Claudia Oshry:don't like send me a link to a TikTok because the link doesn't populate in Instagram and then you
35:38Jackie Oshry:just there's no good way to send you just sent me a bunch of letters there's no way to send someone a tiktok who's not like in the app so i understand like why people are doing it and you must it's my phone was blowing up last night i was like oh i'm going viral let's go everyone's probably talking about how beautiful and skinny i am send this to jackie girl i already did like and i and i've seen
35:56Claudia Oshry:it on reels yeah if it's on tiktok it's probably on reels so find it there and send it to me or it will be in like in due time that's reels is keeping up these days i would say there's a few days delay
36:06Jackie Oshry:It used to be like actual weeks.
36:08Claudia Oshry:Well, I don't even know what you're like.
36:10Jackie Oshry:What are you talking about days delay? Like viral videos? Yeah, like sometimes you'll send me like a funny like, you know, mom, mama hood. Yeah. And it's like I did see it a few days ago. Okay. Fair. But it's also not fair because I see everything. Ben shows me a video. I'm like, I've seen it. Like I am disgusting brain rot. Like Ben every time. Sometimes I'll just say I've seen it because I don't want to watch whatever videos he's showing me. But like for the most part, I have seen it. And he looks at me. He's like, you're crazy. Like, how have you seen that? He's like, it's only an hour old.
36:36Jackie Oshry:I'm like I saw it an hour ago
36:37Claudia Oshry:that's funny
36:38Jackie Oshry:yeah I'm like a garbage receptacle for content
36:41Claudia Oshry:but maybe that should be part of your like less available yeah campaign to be less available
36:48Jackie Oshry:it would just be more helpful like if I was genuinely less available you know but I'm not yeah I'm just always available
36:57Claudia Oshry:ready willing and able
36:58Jackie Oshry:I'm willing and able there goes my voice again I heard a lot of like a lot of people explaining to me like why you're singing voice becomes bad. One, like your lungs are compressed just due to all the things going on in your body. Two, of course, is like a hormone that comes for your singing voice. Relaxing. It's the same way like my laughing voice changes.
37:16Claudia Oshry:Yeah. Just dealing with a lot. Yeah. Good thing it's not your trade. Imagine you were like on a tour.
37:23Jackie Oshry:Yeah. And actually, now's the perfect time to bring up Kelly Clarkson singing piece by piece on American Idol Nine When's Pregnant. Very impressive that she was able to do that. Are you ready for our fourth story?
37:36Claudia Oshry:Mauricio Umansky reveals he's considering running for mayor of Los Angeles as an independent. Okay. Mauricio Umansky joined, what was he on? Live with Kelly and Mark and said, I am considering. Oh, that's an interesting get for him.
37:50Jackie Oshry:Like, who is Mauricio Umansky to Kelly Ripa?
37:54Claudia Oshry:He just does a little bit of everything. He's on Special Forces.
37:56Jackie Oshry:Oh, that's right. Okay, thank you.
37:58Claudia Oshry:So then he's on Kelly and Mark and said, I'm considering running for mayor of Los Angeles. He says he's a registered independent and hopes to bring businesses back to L.A. He said we need to take care of our people. There's so many things to do in L.A. It's one of the greatest cities in the world without question. It's a huge metropolis and we need to take care of it. We need to take care of crime. We need to take care of homelessness. We need to do all that stuff, but we need to bring business back. And I think if we're able to bring business back, we're able to, you know, do the rest. Has he been here for the last year?
38:24Jackie Oshry:Well, the thing is, is obviously Maria Styliany Mansky, you're extremely hot and Jewish. You have my vote. But I feel that you're not really paying attention because many have come and gone to try and do exactly what you said. Business. I think people in L.A. like the homelessness. They like the crime. They like the status quo.
38:42Claudia Oshry:They like their people like Karen Bass. Spencer tried to save them. Rick Caruso. Rick Caruso. He spent 40 million of his own dollars.
38:49Jackie Oshry:Mauricio, don't do this. Like seriously, don't bother because then like you then you just become like a political figure. You're very divisive either way. Like people love you and hate you. and it's like you come from a franchise where like even though you haven't even behaved well like people love you like why would you give up that sort of adoration to get into politics just
39:03Claudia Oshry:to lose just to be honest about that like don't waste your money you're not going to win yeah nobody could have run a better campaign than spencer pratt it's true he had a lot of like wind behind him he went on joe rogan like no but not like people are saying the way he ran his campaign like will actually change the way uh political campaigns are run like from like with ai and everything and like he had everything at his back he had so many like endorsements from people across the aisle and really came at it from like just a bipartisan point of view a very like um earnest play if you will i really don't know what could have been done better than the way that he did it so and rick crusoe as well is also like a huge figure gwyneth paltrow endorsed like lots of big like a lot of celebrities i saw celebrities both who are known to be like democrats and republicans so it's like not even about that why would you waste your time and your money doing
39:53Jackie Oshry:this it's true and i also feel that mauricio actually has like a lot of opportunity outside of being like a very successful real estate mogul which he is he has that netflix show he does a little bit of housewives he's now on special forces it's like why is that not enough and he
40:07Claudia Oshry:has a huge business huge family too yeah no but sink your money into this yeah like bad idea i feel like he's like soft launching it like do not come do not come yeah he said if i do it have to be for the next race and start prepping for it and start prepping my business for it start prepping my life for it and then you run seriously don't do not like we just i think i've seen this film before it's true and i didn't like the ending it's true and i've given up even though like
40:35Jackie Oshry:outside of that like marie when we talk about like celebrities who go into politics like yeah why not mauricio umansky like businessman to the stars yeah but no another city yeah try Portland try Portland he would Mauricio Umansky we're having a what's the word protest no no like a when you like have a campaign like rally yeah running a campaign fundraising rally event for Mauricio Umansky at the Chaz in Portland let me know if you guys can come you'll definitely win let me know if you guys can come

46:41Claudia Oshry:Thank you, Turret Chef. You're welcome. Turret Chef. Our fifth and final story, Dancing with the Stars recap last night, was Yacht Rock Night. Bad theme. But it was all, like, presented by a sponsor. Oh, what was it, the mocktails? Yeah, and there was, like, a sponsor floating around the episode, so I feel like it was, like, meant to tie in this sponsor. but it should have been like carnival cruises.
47:03Jackie Oshry:Yeah, but I just feel like the level of like sponsorship integrations is like really not premium. Do you know what I mean? This is like one of the most watched shows on TV. Like even the Paris baguette stuff, like it just feels so branded. Like and Julianne like shoving a cocktail in everyone's face. Like it was just weird. Yeah, I don't know what the mocktails were about. Me neither.
47:20Claudia Oshry:I don't want to drink something blue.
47:22Jackie Oshry:No, especially they're all like out of breath. Yeah, right. Sweating. They said this blue curacao. Yeah. I'm good. so I didn't like the theme and I felt like I was kind of bored by the episode because of the music like no pussy poppers you know but I liked it I like I don't know I don't like yacht rock
47:39Claudia Oshry:but like I don't is that your genre of choice no I don't mind it I think I kind of minded it yeah that's the point of the background it's just like pleasant music you sort of know the tune everyone we're on a yacht and we're rocking out for me it was like hard for anyone to have like a big moment because like there wasn't like big music well let's get into the dances first we had amber glenn with pasha paschkov they did really well and they got a 24 and they just like do nothing for me i guess she like broke his nose oh that was crazy that happens sometimes where
48:06Jackie Oshry:like you injure the pro and like seriously name the worst feeling and i just feel like he was really mad i get the vibe like he's not there you could tell when like i feel like brit and taylor um hansen like really loved each other they had a real friendship connection i feel like pasha and amber are like just partners yeah like that's it i don't think they hate each other i I don't think they have a singular connection. They're not like a great friendship there. Yeah. So when he got his nose broke by her, he was like, okay. And she felt so bad. It was so awkward. I felt like I wasn't even there and I felt so awkward.
48:34Jackie Oshry:Yeah.
48:34Claudia Oshry:I was like, I'd rather like break my own nose than. Yeah. Have to do that. And like feel so bad.
48:39Jackie Oshry:Now I loop her in with like Harry Shem Jr. and Jenna Dewan about like people who are doing so good and make me feel nothing. Actually, spoiler alert. I won't say who. Somebody from that group actually really impressed me last night. So we'll talk about that shortly. But Amber Glenn, like, great. You did an amazing job. I don't care.
48:52Claudia Oshry:Next, Julia Stiles with Ezra Sosa. They did a salsa. I thought she was amazing.
48:59Jackie Oshry:Yeah, well, she had a lot to prove because she had a bad week last week. And fighting an injury. And she did really good.
49:07Claudia Oshry:Yeah. What's also interesting to me, I was looking it up. So I was saying how Julia Stiles is similar to Tatiana Lee. How they're like, you know, former TV stars who are now in their 40s. And Jenna Dewan is the same age as them. And she's also like a former, you know, iconic movie that's now like in her 40s dancing. And it's actually interesting that they cast three women who are essentially like the same archetype.
49:26Jackie Oshry:That's what I'm saying. I thought you were going to say like three women in their 40s because like once you turn 40 in Hollywood, there's no jobs for you. And that's what I was saying about like inclusivity on the show. Like it's not corny. It's not performative. Like, yeah, there's three women in their 40s. There's three women in their 40s. There's Guillermo and there's Ezra. Like how many people can say that? Yeah. How many TV shows can say that? Yeah. And it's not like being shoved down your face. Like we're being inclusive. Like, no, you just are. No, I had to look up their agent. Yeah, right.
49:49Jackie Oshry:Yeah. Why do they keep introducing Jenna Dewan as the star of The Rookie? Like, we're supposed to know what that is. That's their show. Are we, it's ABC?
49:54Claudia Oshry:They're promoting The Rookie.
49:55Jackie Oshry:Yeah, because they keep saying, like, Harry Shum star of Grey's Anatomy. Like, we know Grey's Anatomy. Star of The Rookie. I'm like, The Rookie? They want us. It's like a Gilmore Girls. Like, what is it?
50:02Claudia Oshry:They want us talking about The Rookie. So, there you go. Now, they're going to keep saying it. Okay. Because I got the toast talking about The Rookie. Okay. Then we have Guillermo and Whitney. They did their fat shot. they scored a 15. Guillermo made a declaration at the end that he is dancing for the people.
50:16Jackie Oshry:Which I appreciated because like I'm really they can skip. I know they're always short for time. Like you can skip the judges criteria of Guillermo. I'm not interested because it's not about the technicality and maybe some people will say that's not fair. We are all working within like their limits. And I think for like what he's capable of, he's doing an amazing job and he's like leaning so much on his personality. I could not love him anymore. I texted Guillermo
50:40Claudia Oshry:promoted 21523 before he even danced oh i wait till they dance you know but i texted 10 times i want him to win the mirror ball like i want him to be in the finals and it's so nice because i feel like up until andy richter it's like if you got like the old slow dude like that stinks no like you knew your season was going to be like it's just a bummer but like these two guys have really turned that on their heads where it's like it's actually an advantage it's an opportunity yeah And they're like getting by and doing less. And it's like you used to just be written off immediately. But now you're like someone to contend with.
51:15Jackie Oshry:Yeah. If given the right pro who like really showcases and the person is down to like show up. People really liked Andy's packages. Like his personality was so funny. Nobody knew him before. Nobody knew him before. At least like Jimmy Kimmel, the ABC people like they know Guillermo. It is an opportunity for a pro to like do something with the person. So I feel like it also really speaks like Whitney and Emma. Yeah. For like the TikToks and everything.
51:35Claudia Oshry:No, and it's like just because you have like the older, slower cast, man or woman, like it could actually be an advantage. Yes, it can. It's exciting. It is. Then we have Tatiana Ali and Jan Ravnik. They did amazing. I felt like I watched a completely different person.
51:53Jackie Oshry:Well, first of all, she's like having that transformation. She looks insane. It's only three weeks. She literally is so toned. One. Two, it was so amazing. I feel like they're best friends. Like kind of an unlikely duo, you know? I watch all of their social media. Like they have the best time together. She's so good. I feel like she's just a person who was like a decent dancer. And she is the definition of this show. Like she is getting better every week. I feel like by the end, if she continues to like be saved, she'll have like a major moment, like a dance. I love her. Yeah. And every time in her packages, she just like keeps opening up and being honest.
52:22Jackie Oshry:Like that's what I'm looking for. Yeah. Like I, not her being my favorite. I couldn't even, I might not have even been able to place her before the show was announced.
52:30Claudia Oshry:That's why it really is sort of an evening playing field. Like just because you're the most famous, just because you're the most physically fit or the best dancer. Like it's so many other factors. And someone that I didn't even know before, who's not the best dancer there, is my favorite. I love her. Yeah. Then Harry Shum Jr. with Jenna Johnson, they performed a jive with hats and they got a 24. You're making my dream come true. They acknowledged a little bit that they're getting hate. She said something to the effect of, she feels like he's being penalized because he is already a dancer. And I don't know if she's saying that towards the judges or the audience, but they are very much hated by the audience.
53:11Claudia Oshry:And it's not because you're a dancer. Because now I want a Jordan Fisher. I'm looking for that. I want some good dancing. I don't like watching you dance.
53:20Jackie Oshry:Yeah, I'm so unmoved by everything they do. His packages bore me to tears. Even he brought Kurt Hummel to the ballroom and like I barely moved you know I don't know what it is about them because there's a lot of politics within the real inner circle of Dancing with the Stars about like Jenna and Val being like favorites and all the other pros hating them like I don't care about any of that that's not why I feel the way that I feel like I'm just bored yeah oh I don't yeah I'm not in I'm a fan of Dancing with the Stars but I'm not in like pro no I guess like Brit has always said that like her dream
53:55Claudia Oshry:partner is harry shum jr yeah but then people clocked this that when they were eliminated last night julie and thankfully said like that taylor requested brit as his partner and that's why they were partnered together so maybe brit had always wanted harry but they put him right brit so it
54:12Jackie Oshry:wasn't a snub or anything like yeah and you know i'm glad brit didn't get harry because like
54:16Claudia Oshry:everyone's hating harry so she doesn't need hate but she's off the show yeah which we'll talk about
54:20Jackie Oshry:then we have taylor hansen and brit stewart so i saw people like so upset about this like in disbelief when it was clear to me that he was the one going home. He not only like he just wasn't getting better. And like somebody has to go home. Do you know what I mean? And I feel like of the people who might have been in contention to go home, the people who have been consistently in the bottom, like everybody kind of stepped their pussies up last night, except for him.
54:41Claudia Oshry:Yeah. I feel like there are a couple people who are on the edge of going home. And it's just a matter of like in which order based on scores. And he was one of them. He's one of them. I think Jackson Olsen is one of them. It kills me to say, I think Tyler Cameron is one of them.
54:53Jackie Oshry:No, not my king. He did so good last night.
54:55Claudia Oshry:I love him. I know. I thought he did great. He didn't get good scores.
54:59Jackie Oshry:By the way, I thought his scores were so unfair.
55:00Claudia Oshry:His scores were insane. I thought he did great. He had like a very low. They didn't put him in the bottom, which was, I think, like a win for him. Which was shocking, though, because he was like in the bottom. I thought he was in the bottom last week. His scores were worse this week. And then they let him like go second.
55:11Jackie Oshry:The scoring was off last night because Tyler got like criminally low scores. And so did Tatiana. Like she should have gotten eights like Amber. She got sevens.
55:19Claudia Oshry:I don't think she should have gotten eights. I do. I don't think she should have gotten eights. And I don't think there was anything wrong with her score, but I feel like she was completely safe. She had a good score compared to the rest of them. Then Maura and Mark. Oh, she was great. They did a quick step. They got a 22. She's amazing. She's a joy to watch. And I feel like by the end, we can maybe have a Jordan Fisher moment.
55:36Jackie Oshry:Yeah, she's a joy to watch. Her package is too. She's so funny. She's an amazing personality. She's so bubbly and smiley. Like she's made for this. And her and Mark are best friends. Like I just love their packages. I love everything they do.
55:46Claudia Oshry:Yeah, it's really, she's a great fun dancer. And I feel like she has a style of her own. Yes, I agree. She's like a little fairy floating on the dance floor. Yeah. It's really cute. Then Sierra Miller and Brandon Armstrong, they performed a cha-cha and they scored an 18.
56:01Jackie Oshry:I don't really remember. I feel like her scores were low. She was Karma Brown. Oh, right, right, right, right, right. That's funny, like for the fans. I feel like I was also thinking that I wish they had done a better job explaining Karma Brown. It was very inner circle. It is. And it's like the ABC people, like this is such a big show. Bravo's like low key, not small, but it's niche. And so I wish that they had explained like the lore a little bit better because it's really funny. And it was just like, what is this? Who's Karma?
56:22Claudia Oshry:For those of us who know, we were happy to see her. Agreed. It was great. It was great. And I think Sierra loves being her. Me too. And a fun side of her comes out. I was going to say, she definitely came out of her shell. She was fun and confident. And the dance wasn't, there was room for improvement. Their scores weren't amazing. Yeah. But I feel like it was a good night for them in the sense that they weren't in the bottom. And no one was worried about them going home.
56:45Jackie Oshry:And she's definitely improving. But I feel that of the people that are improving, some people are just making bigger leaps than her. But every week is better than the next, which is really all you can ask for.
56:52Claudia Oshry:Yeah. To a certain point and then it starts to cutthroat. Yes, yes. So there's still a lot of people here that are going to leave. There are so many contestants. That are going to leave. Like Jackson Olsen and Emma Slater.
57:02Jackie Oshry:Yeah, Jackson Olsen has been quietly disappointing. Yeah. I feel like maybe he had a strong start and he's kind of getting worse.
57:10Claudia Oshry:And the packages aren't packaging for me. No, no. He seems like a really nice guy and I'm not rooting against him.
57:16Jackie Oshry:No, me neither. I just thought he would be so much more dazzling. He has so much performance experience. dancing and singing included and I'm just like every week it's like he stings
57:25Claudia Oshry:yeah
57:27Jackie Oshry:and that's not what I thought he was going to be I thought he really had like potential to go really far they got to turn it around
57:32Claudia Oshry:I don't think they will I think that like he's next
57:34Jackie Oshry:yeah I think he's next too
57:36Claudia Oshry:then Connor Wood and Riley Arnold
57:38Jackie Oshry:when I watch Connor like I get nervous like this is like I've actually met this person you know he did so good like I was actually so nervous for him especially yeah last week like all about improvement his hair is hilarious he had great like um he has great packages and great interviews like he really isn't I think very endearing to people how like he wants us like very badly but he doesn't take it too seriously I thought he did a really good job I didn't find the dance was like amazing to
58:01Claudia Oshry:watch but it's good enough yeah and hopefully with by the time it needs to be amazing I think he can get there because he's like very dedicated to learning and improving yes he's like Jackson too a little bit but I think he's doing better than Jackson yeah except I think he's like
58:16Jackie Oshry:naturally uncoordinated whereas like Jackson yeah is not yeah and he has the music in him yeah I think like fibula had like a bigger hill to climb and he's climbing it and like Jackson's
58:25Claudia Oshry:like kind of going down like Jackson scored an 18 and Connor scored a 20 so Connor is like
58:29Jackie Oshry:technically doing better yeah because I think it's you know scores based on your particular set of skills but I would say their abilities are the same based on now what I've seen I wouldn't I wouldn't say like their backgrounds and like experience like no I would I would say that Connor excuse me Jackson has a a leg up you would think
58:46Claudia Oshry:but then how he showed up on day one versus I thought his
58:50Jackie Oshry:day one I thought Connor's day one excuse me Jackson's day one was like good enough and like we would really I thought we would like really see improvement with him but we haven't no whereas like Connor started like pretty like regular and he's getting better yeah then we have Jenna Dwan and Val Shmierkovsky so I always say like Jenna Dwan is amazing and I don't care. I kind of cared last night. She was really good. I thought the critique from Carrie Ann about like doing too much. It's like, girl, this is Dancing with the Stars. Like it was just, it was kind of like mean and unnecessary. And I thought she was amazing.
59:23Jackie Oshry:It was the first time I even like looked at her. I was like, oh yes, like play mama.
59:27Claudia Oshry:I am starting to like pay attention now because of all the hate and stuff. So I'm like, now I really want to see what it's all about. And she obviously has internalized the hate. She knows that nobody feels anything when she dances. So she told the story about visiting her dad and dancing around to Africa. Like, I guess that's like how that's a package, you know?
59:43Jackie Oshry:That is like a point of connection.
59:44Claudia Oshry:Yeah. But not for me. It didn't like stir a lot within me, but it made me want to like her. It made me like want to give her a fair shot. Yeah. And she's dancing her heart out. I know. And Carrie Ann isn't wrong. It's a mean thing to say. It is mean. And I, like Derek said, I do look forward to when they slow it down. It's a little more drama. It's a little more elegant. And we can like see. It's just like.
1:00:07Jackie Oshry:It was very cheerleader.
1:00:08Claudia Oshry:Like, and it's, it's not like I'm not connecting to it.
1:00:12Jackie Oshry:Yeah. It was the first time I, like I wasn't D.O.A. watching her. Like I felt something and I was like, she's really good.
1:00:18Claudia Oshry:Yeah. And maybe she can be the one to give me my Jordan Fisher moment. Right. Right. But last night was good. It was, it was a really good dance, but like it didn't stir anything. Yeah. Or like, but I think we'll get there and let's just like give her enough time to get there. Yes. Because we need great dancers on this show. You guys, I don't want to watch shite for two hours.
1:00:37Jackie Oshry:It's true. and it was kind of like a lot of shite last night.
1:00:40Claudia Oshry:There's a lot of shite and we're like putting a bow
1:00:42Jackie Oshry:on some of the shite.
1:00:43Claudia Oshry:Of course,
1:00:44Jackie Oshry:because we're like contextualizing it like given like this person is an actor but like I'm trying to be dazzled and I wasn't dazzled really last night.
1:00:52Claudia Oshry:Then Tyler Cameron and Sharna Burgess. What did they dance to again? The jive to Still the One. I don't remember it. That's not what Shania Twain but I thought it was adorable. I thought he did great. I just love him. I thought he was light on his feet given his size.
1:01:05Jackie Oshry:Oh yes, the size. That was so unfair. He's huge. I remember the whole thing now. I thought he did great too. The footwork. I love Tyler Cameron. Like that's my winner. Like I really want him to go far.
1:01:15Claudia Oshry:He got a 17, which is pretty low. I think that's unfair.
1:01:17Jackie Oshry:They were giving him unfair scores. I agree. I think he really did a good job given the fact that like he's this enormous guy.
1:01:24Claudia Oshry:And then they pan to, of course, his lady love, his lady love and Hannah Brown.
1:01:30Jackie Oshry:And Hannah Brown was obviously there because she's a Dancing with the Stars alumnus. But that is her ex-boyfriend. But like leave Hannah Brown alone. She's happily married.
1:01:37Claudia Oshry:Yeah. She was in the background the whole episode. And like ex-friends. Yeah, I think that they would.
1:01:44Jackie Oshry:They were the quarantine crew, remember? He's engaged. Remember the quarantine? She's married, of course. I think that like maybe it's a little awkward, but for the most part, I think they would consider each other as like friends.
1:01:53Claudia Oshry:Yeah, and then Rachel Kirkconnell was like part of his crew.
1:01:56Jackie Oshry:Interesting to see that Rachel Kirkcal.
1:01:58Claudia Oshry:Because her ex is Matt James, who's Tyler Cameron's. Like ex-best friend? It's unclear where they stand today, but they became famous as best friends in this world. Matt James is only on the show and we only know who Matt James is because of Tyler.
1:02:10Jackie Oshry:Yes. So Tyler got Richelle in the divorce. Which is weird. I think so, too. What's the tea? Based on vibes, like we think Tyler and Matt also hate each other. So the enemy of the enemy is my friend. You know, they both are the common enemy.
1:02:22Claudia Oshry:But boys don't hate each other. I know.
1:02:24Jackie Oshry:But I feel that Matt James and Tyler like hate each other.
1:02:26Claudia Oshry:I don't think they do. I actually think we would be surprised to find out that they're fine.
1:02:30Jackie Oshry:Or like, no, or they just don't care. about each other.
1:02:32Claudia Oshry:No, but like Matt lives in New York now and Tyler lives in Florida and it's like, well, my friend doesn't live here.
1:02:36Jackie Oshry:We'll see. Does Matt show up in the ballroom?
1:02:38Claudia Oshry:No, he probably won't. Let's see. He probably won't. Next and final, we had Ezra Fretch with Daniela Karagash. So it's Freck, by the way. I say different every week.
1:02:48Jackie Oshry:I'm letting you know what it is.
1:02:49Claudia Oshry:In case you were curious. Freck.
1:02:52Jackie Oshry:Freck. I feel that like the producers are confident in his ability to dance and move forward because he probably got 30 seconds of voting time. Like they dance and the polls close 30 seconds later. which is so unfair. And that's how you know there's way too many people on the show right now. He was great. I feel like, again, it speaks more to Yacht Rock. I feel like last week I was like jumping out of my seat. I was like, oh, that's a good dance. I didn't feel so much this week. It felt really short.
1:03:15Claudia Oshry:Yes. But he did the foxtrot, which again, they explained in his package why it will be difficult for him to do. And I'm loving the explanation. And then I love when he's like, but could I do it like this? And she's like, yeah. And then we see the way that they sort of... Rework it. rejigger the dance it's so impressive for him and you're gonna get my vote every time and i know like
1:03:38Jackie Oshry:derrick huff when he gives his critiques like it's i feel actually i really relate to it because anytime someone's talking and it's like i can relate i'm like oh yeah that happened to me too yeah and i know he's like i danced with him yeah right it's like busting out of him like yeah amy and i did that too um and he didn't bring it up last night and i was really proud of him um but
1:03:58Jackie Oshry:i really like i actually i'm not even like coming for dark i know we have like fake beef like i thought he looked great i loved his ascot and i i i i was like is he gonna bring it up again because like i would it's relevant yeah it's relevant um but i'm sure he like is very aware
1:04:13Claudia Oshry:of like not wanting to bring it up and i feel like now when i see him like i just feel like he's like thinking about what we said i don't think so i saw him like dancing i saw by the way
1:04:22Jackie Oshry:The net-net of that clip, like, we said good things about him. And I didn't say anything that I don't want him dancing. I said, why do just the Huffs get it? Like, are they different than the other pros?
1:04:30Claudia Oshry:Well, did you see Mark's mother? Was she dancing? Mark Ballas? Yeah. I saw a backstage video of, like, Mark and Shirley Ballas. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
1:04:40Jackie Oshry:She's, like, a dance person.
1:04:41Claudia Oshry:I saw a video of them dancing. Like, it looks like the intro. I was like, did I miss that? And then, of course, Derek.
1:04:48Jackie Oshry:Listen, you're not baiting me. I'm not getting into a Derek Huff. I respect Derek Huff. You guys know, like, I was joking. That joke, like, went way too far. And, like, you can't bait me into this conversation.
1:04:58Claudia Oshry:No. And, you know, I'm a huge fan of the Huffs. Like, I'm not even. I know. It's like we've sort of been, like. Pitted against one another.
1:05:04Jackie Oshry:Well, not pitted. Because, like, I did say that thing one time. But I feel like people just, like, misunderstood. And I am sorry. And, like, I relate to Derek. Like, I could just. You know the meme of, like, the kid who's trying not to cough in class with, like, the veins. That's him trying not to bring up that he'd one time dance with Amy. You know? Yeah.
1:05:17Claudia Oshry:Okay. So, those were the dances. little surprising I think Taylor has like a lot of fans he I think there are a lot of people who could have gone home last night and happened to be them which is sad because she went home early last season too she was obviously not happy okay so let's talk about the alleged beef between well first let's talk about her reaction when they said it was so she was like I'm so sorry I'm so sorry she looked like she was gonna cry but then she's really upsetting and it didn't sound like she was gonna cry but she was very upset and she felt and she kept saying sorry to
1:05:44Jackie Oshry:him but like what did she do nothing I don't know and I had seen like a montage of all the times she was eliminated and she like always tells her partner sorry which is like really sad i know because it's not her fault he didn't get better why did she snub guillermo what was that right so then of course you know when it's over the credits roll all the pros and the dancers and like the fans rush to the stage and hug the people who are leaving and everyone goes in for their hug guillermo goes in for a hug and she like literally swerves on him so i think either it could have just been like there's a lot going on and she's hugging me and i'm being pulled to here and i have to go it could have been totally like explained away but if you were to look into it Like Guillermo, I think a lot of people feel that he should go home.
1:06:19Jackie Oshry:He had the lowest scores every week since we started. And Brit went home instead of him. So maybe she's mad at him. But seriously, she doesn't seem like an unreasonable, crazy person. And that is an unreasonable and crazy thing to feel.
1:06:31Claudia Oshry:It's not his fault that he's older and slower. And that people like him. And having a hard time. Yeah. I feel like if she's asked about it, she'll say, oh my God, I didn't see him. There's so much going on. But I know what I saw. You watch it. I know what I saw. And I think she just like didn't want to look at him in that moment because she probably feels like he should be going home.
1:06:49Jackie Oshry:Yeah. Not that. But she doesn't seem like that at all. Like vindictive or like brat. Like she just seems like really nice.
1:06:56Claudia Oshry:Yeah.
1:06:57Jackie Oshry:So I don't know. But the video is very confusing.
1:06:59Claudia Oshry:And upsetting. Guillermo's sort of like standing there.
1:07:02Jackie Oshry:People are like she's not going to return.
1:07:04Claudia Oshry:Why? What would she be? Which part would she be mad about?
1:07:07Jackie Oshry:Because you have to look up every person she stands with. Like it is shocking. Great. Baron Davis is like the best of them. Her last name is Stuart.
1:07:13Claudia Oshry:I think actually this guy was the best. Brit Stewart.
1:07:16Jackie Oshry:Partners.
1:07:16Claudia Oshry:Partners.
1:07:17Jackie Oshry:It's like old person after old person after old person.
1:07:21Claudia Oshry:Johnny Weir.
1:07:22Jackie Oshry:Oh, okay. Well, that's actually like really good.
1:07:25Claudia Oshry:Martin Cove, who's an actor who I just assume is probably older. I've never even heard of him. I'm looking it up. Yeah. Ancient old man. Yeah, but you know what? Andy Richter and Guillermo are ancient old men. Yes, it's proof that that's not a death sentence. So it's not. It's really not. But Daniel Durant, who's now her husband. Oh, yeah.
1:07:44Jackie Oshry:The actor from CODA. He's hard of hearing.
1:07:47Claudia Oshry:So she should be not mad about that one.
1:07:49Jackie Oshry:Right, because she met her husband.
1:07:51Claudia Oshry:Adrian Peterson, who's a football player. Let's look him up. And then Baron Davis also, who is a basketball player. But how old is Adrian Peterson?
1:07:59Jackie Oshry:I don't think he's terribly old. But athletes are notoriously bad, except for, of course, Iman Shumper.
1:08:05Claudia Oshry:But they have huge, right. He's 41. That's not anyone. That's not, then you're saying like Jenna and the gals.
1:08:11Jackie Oshry:No, I think that like a lot of times, like, you know, when an Alex Earl or a Whitney Leiave gets cast, there are certain people who get cast who you know are going to take you to the finale. And I think that Brit's never really gotten one of those. And I think that this is just what people in the fandom say. Like Val gets those people a lot. Jenna gets those people a lot. Mark gets those people a lot. Even Maura. Like Maura and who was last season?
1:08:35Claudia Oshry:Whitney. Agreed. who would you say of the men in this season are confirmed going to make it to the finale
1:08:42Jackie Oshry:that would be harry shum okay who is her dream partner okay which is why it felt like such a
1:08:46Claudia Oshry:snub okay and that's like literally it who else is on the show guillermo harry jackson connor
1:08:55Jackie Oshry:tyler cameron i feel it'll be a female heavy uh finale and i just think that there's not anyone
1:09:02Claudia Oshry:here that was like oh they're for sure gonna make it and like that would be the best except for Harry Shum but honestly he's having a terrible season and they're like
1:09:08Jackie Oshry:the most hated couple. When the cast was announced there was like a lot of hate for it and I didn't really agree and now that we're in it like it's not an amazing cast.
1:09:16Claudia Oshry:Yeah and I think also it is easier with the women like we know who the great women are going to be like you said Whitney and you didn't say a man from last season that was going to go up like maybe a Jordan Fisher type.
1:09:26Jackie Oshry:We didn't know Robert Irwin was going to be so good.
1:09:28Claudia Oshry:And I think that it had a lot to do with Whitney and also ABC just like wanted him to win.
1:09:31Jackie Oshry:Of course because he hosts the next pro and he's doing.
1:09:34Claudia Oshry:But like this season
1:09:36Jackie Oshry:season it's a lot of women who are gonna be good yeah yeah i think with the men like yes you sometimes get like a clumsy old man i do think i'd have to look at the stats but the list of winners has to lean more women yeah joey grazia day joey he was jenna yeah but and so you would
1:09:52Claudia Oshry:think like tyler would be right joey but like he's not i mean we love him but like he's struggling yeah he is so i feel like there's not aside from harry there's not there's not like obvious that She's getting snubbed like every single time because I feel like just the men.
1:10:07Jackie Oshry:No, people just like her a lot and feel very defensive of her.
1:10:10Claudia Oshry:Yeah. And I hope next season.
1:10:11Jackie Oshry:Even how she does like sign language, like when she's telling people to vote, like it's so good. I love her.
1:10:15Claudia Oshry:Now I know how to do it. Now I know why. I didn't realize that was why.
1:10:18Jackie Oshry:Yes. And so also I saw you like how you saw Jordan Fisher. I saw like one of their dances where, you know, you don't even think about how difficult it is to dance with no music if you can't hear. So they did their dance. And I think like an iconic part of their journey was that like in the middle of the dance, like she cuts the music and they dance silently. just like sort of reflects like what he's hearing.
1:10:35Claudia Oshry:Oh my God, I've chilled.
1:10:36Jackie Oshry:It was chilling. I watched it this morning. It was really beautiful. And then the music comes back and like they finish and people were like screaming their heads off and then they got married. That's really cute. It's really cute. That's what I mean when I say like, it's not corny inclusivity. Like that's so cute. Like that's real. That's real. And it's like, yeah, I didn't even think about like being a hard of hearing person trying to choreograph a dance. Yeah. I guess you just have to think like one, two, three, like the whole time, like in numbers.
1:10:59Claudia Oshry:Yeah. If you were on Dancing with the Stars, who would you want your partner to be?
1:11:04Jackie Oshry:Mark. Because obviously he gets like favoritism and I need favoritism because I'm going to stink. I think that like we would like vibe personality wise. You think? Yeah. After Traders? Well, yeah. But the thing is, everyone liked him on Traders. Like he was kind of like this affable, like good personality kind of guy. So yeah, I think I would like him.
1:11:25Claudia Oshry:Okay.
1:11:26Jackie Oshry:Who else? Like not Val, not Pasha. Ezra? Oh, I would like Ezra. I think we'd have a good time and we'd make lots of good TikToks. Jan Ravnik. Oh, I also would like Jan. With the Taylor Swift. Of course. Mark Brandon. I don't really know a lot about Brandon. I know his wife because she comes up on my TikTok all the time. Yeah, I see. But I don't know his lore like at all. And then Val. Yeah, I don't think I would want to be with Val. Too much pressure.
1:11:53Claudia Oshry:Mark is the most pressure.
1:11:55Jackie Oshry:No, no. Have you ever seen like those? I'm now on like DWTS archival TikTok. um max the brother like abusing people like he used to be so fucking crazy like have you seen the one where he like rips his microphone off like it's really scary i forget who the um was it brandy maybe um and i just feel like that i don't want to be around that kind of energy you think val is like maxim i don't think that he is but i think maybe he has potential to be and there's a
1:12:19Claudia Oshry:lot of like former pros that i now see around like even lindsey arnold with yes with her uh tiktok day in life no and because i saw the jordan fisher oh oh yeah and then i actually just saw an ad that maxim and petra did um they were dancing and putting on the worst i hope they were dancing it was very compelling advertisement for lotion um and it makes me like want to know more about
1:12:41Jackie Oshry:them yeah so if you do want to like go in on the lore like there's so much because you know like emma used to be married emma's dating alan now who got out who was his partner oh giada yeah
1:12:51Claudia Oshry:I can be with Alan I can be with Alan too I can be with Alan I feel like Alan's someone
1:12:55Jackie Oshry:like we went to camp with he's like some Jewish Alan Bernstein every time I see him
1:12:58Claudia Oshry:on the screen I'm like wait I just saw you at lunch
1:13:00Jackie Oshry:yeah literally like he looks like like our cousin like we totally know him we're definitely related actually a lot of the pros are Jewish Max and Chmorkovsky and Val are Jewish Alan's Jewish the Pasha Pashkov
1:13:14Claudia Oshry:oh is he which makes Dingella
1:13:16Jackie Oshry:by association oh love that and then okay so Emma who's dating Alan. I think she used to be married to Sasha who's actually not a pro this season but he's like that little brunette guy. Sasha Farber. Yes. I know him. I think he won with Caitlin Bristow. Okay. Yeah. Emma used to be married to him. That's crazy. Why isn't he a pro anymore? Well so he comes up on my TikTok all the time and the comments are like wish you were a pro wish you were a pro and he's like liking all them. I think maybe he's just sort of like aged out and they're keeping him in the fold. He does a lot of the TikTok stuff.
1:13:46Jackie Oshry:He dances with the troupe. So I think that like you can only be a pro for so long it's like a physical thing and they have to bring in new people so you can't really be mad he was on it for so long i think he won a couple of times and now he's still so fired they
1:13:55Claudia Oshry:really keep everyone like in the family yeah very interesting yeah it's it is like it's an underworld i'm not gonna go watch old seasons because that would be infuriating to not be able to recap it or vote like or vote um but that is i that's cool yeah it's cool well that's your dance with the
