Yeah, that's what I wanted to tell you. I'm making some Toast herstory. Let's go. We have KFC Kevin Clancy on the Toast. Welcome to the show. Thank you. Thank you. I did not realize I was the first co-host or guest host or whatever. I'm flattered. You are the first episode going live because today is Tuesday. We are on schedule and I've pre-recorded a little bit of things, but like you're the first episode. We actually have a lot to catch up on because we haven't done the toast since last Friday.
0:59So some of the pop culture stuff we're going to do this week are the big stories from the past week. But of course, a lot has happened in the last week. Our dear Claudia has given birth and she is doing great. So I just wanted to update everyone. I know everyone wants all the updates from her and I'm sure she'll share more when she's ready. But it's just been a really lovely week, a quiet, pargy week. And we're really happy for Claudia. Baby Brunson is here, right? Baby Brunson. And spoiler alert, the name is LeBron. That is so funny. Was there a Knicks game on last night? I can't keep up. There's one tonight, so there was one two nights ago.
1:34Okay, and the Knicks won two nights ago. Yes, so now it's two to one. You're a Knicks fan. Yes. What are your teams? Knicks, Mets, Jets, and then hockey, I would be the Islanders. So you're New York. I'm a New York guy, and I'm like the loser teams, if you will. Although things are starting to go in the right direction, but it's been a long 40 years. the New York teams are the loser teams especially if you're not rooting for the Yankees yeah there's a clear divide but things are getting a little bit better but it's we've had to be very very patient yeah well I'm very excited for today's episode because Kevin I call you KFC like to my friends is that fine yeah yeah I get that all the time I'm like it's whatever but like your real friends call you Kevin yes my real friends call me Kevin and then they make fun of me like if they're if I'm like being annoying or whatever they'll be like oh KFC's out today and that's when I know to shut the hell up.
2:22So that's like your staging KFC. Yeah, so when I first started, I... And you were at Barstool. Can you intro yourself? Yes, yeah, yeah. And I do feel like today's episode is really special because it's for the husbands and wives because you're like Barstool King and obviously the toast is for the swirlies. So this is going to bring couples together. Yeah, I love it. We're going to be really excited about this duo. Yes, I work for Barstool. I started Barstool, New York. So it started in Boston with Dave and then this is back in 2009. He wanted to expand into different cities. The idea was kind of like have satellite cities.
2:51And I was the first one they expanded out of Boston. And so I started the New York branch and then I started podcasting at Barstool and and all that. So I've been there for like 15, 15 years. And yeah, I came on. I came on with Claudia back in like 2017 or 18. A long time ago. So what I was going to say is you've podcasted with Claudia on our show, but not the toast. I think it was the breath. Right. So you haven't been on the toast yet. No. So another piece of herstory, herstory, which is very exciting. And we have not met, even though you had podcast with Claudia. And I think she did your show, too, like back in the day.
3:28Yes. So you and Claudia go way back. But this is our first time meeting and our first time podcasting. I'm very excited because you do a lot of sports. Obviously, you work at Barstool, but you do a lot of pop culture, too. You have a lot of pot takes. Yeah. At this point, I mean, I am a like a weirdo sports fan, but I would say my content is more pop culture, comedy, stand up, all that sort of stuff. So that was kind of where we made our lane. But when, you know, the playoffs are on and things really get cooking and baseball, I'm a sicko. It's like the Mets are like some weird issue I have. I don't know.
3:59It's like ingrained into my DNA. I think the Mets are cool as someone who is a New Yorker originally. Like if I had to choose between Mets and Yankees, like I do have more love for the Mets. Let's go. And I think they're having like a lot of big moments this is like that nobody you would not have said that like you know 10 years ago yeah Pete Alonzo he's a good friend of Ben's yeah he's a man she's a really good guy good dude yeah so I root for him they sell Spritz Society at Citi Field pickle flavor like so tasty that's right up your alley yeah and speaking of alcohol brands you have brought me something today which obviously I can't partake in right now but it's very exciting and I think people are going to be really excited about it.
4:41This is Midnight Bean. This is, I believe, to be the best pre-bottled, ready-to-drink espresso martini on the market. Is that your fave espresso martini? It is. So I've been drinking espresso martinis since, basically, I started working at Barstool. Since before they were cool like the Mets? Yes, basically. And the Knicks. So when I, the mother of my kids introduced me to it, and this is back when I was, like, in my, you know, early 20s, mid-20s, when I was just drinking Bud Lights and like didn't know anything about anything. And she ordered an espresso martini and I tasted one then. And ever since then, it's been like my cocktail.
5:15But there was a long period of time where that was like, it was girly and it was lame. And now it's like... All the rage. I mean, between, I would say seltzers and espresso martinis have like taken over the alcohol industry the last, you know, few years. So for the last like, you know, 10 plus years, we had, I had this thing on social media called the three bean gang because you put the three beans and the espresso martinis. And it would, but it was just like a hashtag and it was just anybody, anytime you went out for an espresso martini, people would take pictures and share it with me. And I'd use the hashtag and I would repost it, but I never planned on like having my own.
5:49It was just a thing that was like for people who like these cocktails. And then it kind of all materialized after that. So in a way it really is very organic where it was like, it's not like something I did just to make a buck and it materialized over, you know, over a decade. So I'm really into it. the people who like followed along are really into it and I wouldn't have done it if it didn't taste right and and feel right it foams up nice like it really feels like you're drinking up in a bar so how do you make one like you need to add anything nothing it's all in there ready to pour it's got vodka uh real vodka in it and you just pour it and shake it that's the beauty of it there's no mixing like it used to be you would go to a bar and like the bartender either they didn't have an espresso machine or they would roll their eyes like I got to make all these ingredients shake it up so this is kind of like whether you're now you can have them at home and also if you're a bar or restaurant that serves it just pour shake beautiful it really is cool when i went down to uh sazerac creeds created it and when i meant to their like distillery or whatever i was pretty skeptical and they like shook one up and poured it out and it was all foamy and like settled almost like a guinness and i was like whoa and then uh it tasted right it looked right and i really was prepared for it to be like a high-end item i was like this is going to just be like an 80 bottle because it's martinis and they i was like so what's the damage and they It said$19.99.
7:05And I was like, oh my God. So it's going to be nationwide available at a price point that I think everybody can enjoy it. We're kind of at the stage right now where we're just getting it into stores. Yeah. So where can people get it? Can they get online? I'm actually not sure. I don't think it's available online. But the thing is, it will be every state. Every spot has the option to stock it. We just got to get it there. So if you go to your local stores or restaurants, just ask for it. If they don't have it, ask them to please stock it. And it's available for anybody who wants it. Midnight bean.
7:36Yeah. I'm sure they will love you having a pregnant lady. That's everyone's favorite. Not the best timing, but when you have yours, we can celebrate. Yes, exactly. But we're very happy for you. And I think the girlies will love that. Everyone loves an espresso martini. I was going to say, as much as I like it, it's definitely a girly drink. So I'm like, in a lot of my promotion, a lot of the PR we're doing, it's like, the girls are going to love it. Yeah, for the girls. Unlike being for the boys, which you're for the boys. This is for the everyone. This episode is for the everyone, which I'm really jazzed about.
8:11So we took off last week and I just want to update everyone because I finally got to watch some television in my life. And I watched Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. And you watched one episode? Yes, I stumbled on an episode the other day. That is a wild ass show. That is crazy. I watch a lot of reality TV. Been watching it for a really long time. I feel really comfortable saying like, this is the best reality TV we've had in a very long time. Like the first season was so good. It was one of our favorite shows of last year. And then this season is better somehow. Usually like the sophomore slump, everyone all of a sudden gets a little famous.
8:44They don't want to like risk brand deals and act wrong. And like everyone wants just to be well-liked because it pays to be the favorite. These girls don't care. And it just, the tides constantly shift. It's been so good. I genuinely entered like a depression when I finished it. And like, I'm not someone who like gets in the weeds of like drama. You know how like there are people who make like videos about like so-and-so unfollowed, so-and-so, like left a comment. Like I usually when I turn off the TV, like the show ends for me. Like I don't want to know all this stuff. I just like, I don't really care about the minutia.
9:17Right. I couldn't get enough. Yeah, yeah, yeah. What did Marciano say? Well, I'm so, the one scene I saw there at some dinner table and this girl was flat out like I'm the most popular and I should be making the most money. And I was like, whoa, this is like, they're just laying it out there, you know? And like, but they all look like cookie cutter to me. I'm like, wait, which one is that? She the queen? Is she the leader? Who's the one? You have to do the work to be able to tell them apart. Yeah. You can. No, that was one of the best scenes ever when they called her out for like literally her best friend.
9:48She was ready to be like, take her salary and have her off the show because she wanted more money. And she at first you're like, oh, you are the fan favorite. Like you're a big part of the show. maybe you should get paid more than the others and then taylor frankie paul slaps her dick on the table and it's like you're the fan favorite just because you say things at a dinner that people like you haven't shared anything about your life like the she puts her whole life on display for the show if anybody should get paid more it's her not only did she get the show for them by being who she is but so much of the storyline is about her personal life like if you want if you're in the drama with the girls like yeah it's interesting but it's low stakes for you.
10:26Like you're not risking anything. It's just putting your whole business out there. But there's so many of them. There's so many. So like and more I'm sure it's doing well, but the money situation has got to be pretty precarious because you've got to pay there's like 12 girls or whatever. At least it seems that way. There's it seems like there's just an endless supply of them. Yeah. But it's so interesting to me that they're like the Mormon thing in general really. Well, they're all like have different degrees and more. Right. That's what I mean. There's like levels to it where it's like, but they're all pretty and they're all like pretty materialistic it seems and it's like so what really is going on here you know they're all so different they're so different just just couldn't pick two to be the same you know what I need like a crossover I need them so they went on Vanderbump Villa but I haven't watched that yet I haven't seen that yet either but I've seen clips that like Stassi is kind of like doing Stassi things again yeah I saw somebody say like we haven't had a good Stassi like unhinged rant in a while yeah she was one of those goats who like She used to talk about throwing your dick on the table.
11:27That girl, she scares me. Like, I would never want to be in front of a camera with her. I'd be like, I don't know what you're capable of, you know? Yeah. She's a boss. No, she really is. And so she's back. So they did this Vanderpump Villa crossover that has actually become the supply for a lot of drama on the Mormon Wives show. Because apparently, like, stuff happened in the villa. Sure. And they're bringing it up. So it's actually, it's very good synergy. And I have to watch Vanderpump Villa if I want to know more. Are you a Vanderpump girl? Yes. Oh, I've watched it all. Did you, what did you think of the Tom Sandoval like rebrand?
11:58Did you watch Traders? I didn't watch Traders. So he like, you know, almost everybody in the world hates him. Yeah. And then I don't know if it was the edit or just the way he handled himself, but he was kind of this like dumb, endearing guy on the Traders where I feel like he like turned, turned it around a little bit. That's good. Like I'm, I don't hate him like so aggressively anymore. And I feel like I'm special because I didn't like him even before Skandaval. So it's like I saw right through him. So I can go back to those like low levels of dislike. Yeah. But no one should like live in that forever, you know, and we can't have those like strong feelings about him forever.
12:36Like he lost like he did something really awful. He lost literally everything. Yeah. Now let him live. Right. Right. Well, I think sometimes people forget that it's like it's a it's reality, but it's also like a TV show. and it's a business and it's an industry and like, I don't know, it gets a little bit, like you said, like turning it off and just kind of leaving it there. Yeah. Not many people do that. You know, most people are like outside the restaurant picketing. Yeah. At some point it's like, yeah, go home is a good answer. Yeah. Put on, just put on the next one. Just go to the Mormons.
13:09Go, you know, you don't need to fixate on that. So, yeah. But it was interesting to see, like, that would have been someone that I was kind of like, I don't know if there's any coming back. And I think he kind of came back. Okay. That's good. I'm like sort of happy for him but Vanderpump as we know it is over because they're recasting that show have you been watching so they I feel like Scandaball like they had their moment yeah and I feel like they tried to kind of reboot it Scandaball gave them an extra two seasons but I think this would have happened two years ago if not for Scandaball right it kind of ran its course it did and I think I think they all kind of have a natural life cycle where once you get famous enough and rich enough I think Summer House is kind of going through that a little bit well I think now we're going through this inflection point yes I was just talking about this yesterday with my guest for tomorrow which i don't want to spoil but of like people growing out of reality shows because the formula doesn't work anymore not just drinking like you want to get married and have children and like you have to not do that girls yeah yeah especially for the girls so but these are like tested tried and true reality stars we shouldn't let them go like they're great television as opposed to them trying to find new people who we don't might not like and probably don't because they're very bad at casting i think you need i think you need both though like I think Summer House really worked well as an example when it was just like they were regular people like doing the Hamptons back and forth commute that like so many people in here in the summer do.
14:26Right. But then you get famous and it's like, well, all right, so it can't be that anymore. Right. You don't want to let go. And like you said, so you almost need to like. But I feel like the Valley has really solved this problem a little bit of like the aging reality stars who like we still love and we want to see. But just because like you have a baby or something doesn't mean that like you can't do it anymore. but not in the way that you were. So I think people are saying like Lindsay Hubbard should go to Real Housewives of New York. That doesn't really excite me, but I think a Valley like show in the city that's like, yeah, people in their thirties, young couples.
15:00Why can't. So do you feel like I, I wonder from like a female point of view, like when I started getting older and having kids and just settling down, like as a dad, like my content, if you will, went from like stories about partying and going to the Hamptons and summer houses and all these things that are like kind of inherently interesting or a little bit like gossipy and salacious to being like, I'm a dad. I go home. I play with my kids. Right. So, but then there's a whole new audience that's like, I want to hear about like your house renovation. Like what aisle are you using in your bathroom?
15:34And like, what activities are you taking your kids to? So there is that world, but it's not as easy to be like captivating i feel like you know yeah but if you can find a you know a new crop of like young people to that's hopefully kind of what we did at barstools like there was backfilling in a way it's like if you want the young party stuff you go here if you want like the coming i've always tried to like age appropriately yeah i feel like that's hard in reality tv though when the the ratings are high and the money's big it's like i don't want to party anymore but you kind of have to that's a good point but i do feel like that's why the valley is good because they're still they have kids they're still the most dramatic people I've ever seen.
16:09Like, they have all these fights. Well, they're all divorcing. And they're fighting with each other. So I don't feel like they're just, like, boring married people. But yeah, I guess we should stay away from the boring married people. Yeah, I just also, I mean, I find, I feel like being married in some of these shows is probably very difficult. Yeah. Like, you really don't have a normal life. Like, marriage and kids are tough enough as it is. Right. And then you throw in cameras and money and producers and, you know. And, like, bad faith actors. Oh my God. Yeah. People like the people who want to come in who just want to be famous.
16:41Yeah. Producers, even like my experience when we did it, we've done like reality competitions at Barstool and the producers like, God bless them. They work really hard and they're all like a part of the Barstool family. But there are definitely times where they're like, get out there and like say this or do that. And I'm like, yo, man, like relax. You're trying to ruin my life here. Like for some YouTube views, chill out. So I can only imagine when it's like Bravo, like we're talking big time ratings and like they're like go out there and pick that fight or sleep with that person or whatever you know so yeah and when you have like a cast mate who will do anything to be on the show yes and they'll say anything untrue and like that throws like that's just that level of chaos is it reality or is it entertainment because then you know no it's tough and then I look at shows like did you I didn't watch the show but I think everybody saw the clips of Temptation Island and with Montoya yeah I saw the clip like I remember like being like four weeks into that saga where it's like she's fucking another can I say can I curse yeah of course another guy and like and I remember on my show me and my and my co-host John was like these two should just break up like what are we doing here why are you even in this relationship sometimes I think that a lot about the reality couples where I'm like you this is not just break up you know I know but then when they don't I'm like this is the strongest this must be even though I'm seeing them like being the worst couple ever I'm like, well, they must be incredibly strong.
18:04There must be something. There must be something there. Yeah. They love hard, fight hard, all that sort of shit. The good times are so good that we just happen to miss them. But that's where like, like with the season of Summer House, Jesse and Lexi. I'm like, you guys have known each other for 25 seconds. Like this, it cannot be worth all his drama. No, no, no. By the end, it wasn't worth all the drama. But I'm like, am I the only one? I really saw like the initial love there. There was a spark. There was a spark. I'm sorry. Like there was a spark. That's where like regular people would be like where we had like a summer fling in the Hamptons.
18:37And for them, it's like cameras and, you know, drama and sucking on toes and all sorts of shit. No, totally. Do you talk to a lot of reality stars on your show and stuff like or do you meet them all because they call them through the office? Yeah. Chicks in the office is like they're kind of their lane is the reality stuff. I definitely have my I don't even call them guilty pleasures. They're just my pleasure. Yeah. I love it. I don't give a shit about that. I'm like, whatever. like to me it's all very entertaining um no it's like so mainstream now like if you're not watching summerhouse you're yeah you're not like what are you doing on wednesday night um so we've had a couple on but they're the the girls really that's like their their lane um i like i feel like i know more of them like they don't really have them on the show but i just kind of connect through social media and whatnot which is even weirder because i'm like i've never met you before but you know i mean just like we were it's like i've never met you but yeah start to like be friends like you know I know you're pregnant.
19:30I know your life. I know your family. I'm like, it's kind of that weird world. Yeah, no, totally. Even though I'm like, yeah, I know KFC. We never met. Right. I mean, at this point, like some of my best friends are like internet people, you know what I mean? Yeah. It's like I have my real friends and then my internet friends, but I feel like they all, I know them like just as well. Yeah. Do you do a lot of interviews on your show or just? Yeah. So my show has been around for so long. We started in 2012. We were kind of ahead of the curve and we really hit our stride. Our peak was kind of that like golden era when comics were really starting to blow up.
20:02So it was like right before every comic had their own podcast and five Netflix specials. Right. And so the world was kind of getting to meet these people for the first time. Like Chris DiStefano, Bert Kreischer, Tom Segura, Andrew Schultz, all these people who are now are, you know, Nate Bargatse. Nate Bargatse was my first interview. We were each other's first interview ever. Oh, cool. And now he's making, you know, a hundred million dollars a year, like mega successful. but in that little window where like now if you want to hear those guys you just go to their podcast you know yeah but in the beginning it was kind of like uh our show was one of the few that was really interviewing those guys so we had like a really good run then and then um once that died down a little bit I go back and forth it's like I think our our audience wants to hear me and John talk you know what's so funny like for Claudia and I would say the exact same thing as what you said like there was a peak and time where like we were interviewing like everyone and it was so we were having fun and then yeah everyone got podcasts everyone's doing everything i would say it was covid covid kind of changed it because it's like every celebrity's sitting on zoom wanting to do a podcast and it's like when you can have anyone and everyone is going on every show that did change things you're right it's not so interesting but then also and then we got to a place where like we don't want to do zoom interviews yes we're waiting for people to be back zoom was like cool in the beginning because it was like oh these people are saying yes now that you probably never could have got and then it was like just endless interviews of stepping on each other's toes and delays and people.
21:22We interviewed someone. They put their laptop on the other side of the room. They were like this big on the screen and I was just fed up with that. I was like, I can't do this anymore. And then also we reached the point where I just noticed that like every interview was like cookie cutter, generic questions, generic answers, and I was like, I hate this. It used to be like, come do a podcast. Yeah, and not so much an interview, but like a conversation. It's not like we're going to hit all these questions. This was like, where did you start? and then like it's just a back and forth right the art of podcasting yes that's kind of and and and i was like done with that i was like i'd rather just do i also myself like once i started listening to podcasts i really didn't listen to them for the first several years i was doing right probably a bad idea i probably should have known the market a little better but no i feel like everybody who has a successful podcast says that they're like i don't listen to podcasts right i started to recently listen to them i just do them i also have just consumed them like through clips at this point it's very interesting but i every time i'm i put on one of my shows if there's a guest i'm like i don't want to i want to hear my like the people right right so i'm like i'm hoping that's what people feel about me and john you know so um so right for the plant you know we'll have people in here and there but for the most part it's it's just us doing our thing and then jackie and and uh pavs are like our producers slash co-hosts as well so we have this little family that's fun little foursome yeah yeah that's good yeah i think we're the same way as well but then And it's fun to get to do interviews once in a while.
22:49And obviously for Jackson Friends Week, I'm sitting down with my friends and we're going to do some pop culture. So the first story is something that's been developing for the last week, like kind of bombshell news, because we had reported on the toast that Justin Baldoni was subpoenaing Taylor Swift for text messages that allegedly Blake sent to Taylor, threatening Taylor to publicly take her side in the legal feud of Baldoni v.
27:44Lively. I love this one. This saga is good for business. Yeah, this saga is good for business. But I do find, and I want to know your high-level take on the situation before we get into the weeds of this story. I do find it very hard to keep up with. Like, something will happen that feels like the biggest deal. And it's like, then the next day is, oh, they said that's not true. And it's being dismissed. And then something small will happen. And I miss how it's, like, relevant. The biggest deal in the world. Right. And also, they're not starting the trial until 2026. six so it's like why are we even talking about this now we got a long time to go right so i've just sort of been like sitting tight and i don't pick if i picked updates every day we would literally talk about this every day and people don't really love claudia and i take on it mostly claudia's because she's still team blake what are you so i was team blake um until a couple months ago and like i was a hard team like especially last summer when it felt like she was being canceled by him and his like male feminism and i'm like yucky that's my high level take first of all is that this this is all the worst people in the world like they are the worst i justin baldoni's like male feminist shit is the biggest grift and the phoniest act and if anybody falls for that shit they are idiotic like that is so blatant and transparent but and so it's hard for me to take the side of a guy like that but i'm pretty firmly in his camp where it's like i i I think Blake Lively has been even more insufferable.

29:16Right. So I do agree that like, even though I'm not like obsessed with him and this doesn't change how I feel about him and I still wouldn't be like a fan. I don't want to listen to his podcast. Like, I do think when you get into the weeds here, like he did less wrong than her. And I think when that New York Times article came out of like what of her side, you know, it came out like over Christmas and it was like, oh my God, the tide, the pendulum totally swung in her direction. It was like so good for her. And then so quickly it all unraveled. There's also a difference between like if you're going to sling mud and it's like a he said, she said of like gossip is one thing.
29:47But when you get hit with like a sexual harassment, like assault charge or accusation, at least that's a whole different game. Yeah. It's like, OK, we can talk about who was like a diva on set or unprofessional. But like now you're saying that I assaulted you or something. That's a whole you better have like real proof on that. That's like a life ruin or career ruin or if it's true. And things got so bad for him after that article. Like, of course, he's going to stop at nothing to get his good name back. Right. So I think now in hindsight, they should, even though things were bad for Blake Lively last summer and she was going through like a period of unpopularity and like, you know, I think that was better than what's happening now.
30:24Because even someone like me last summer, I was like, you know what? Even if she's a diva, I don't care. Like, that's not a crime. Like, now we know. She's not the first, not the last. the most beautiful woman in the world who's married to Ryan Reynolds and has a perfect life. It's super like down to earth normal. Yeah. But that's also why I can't believe that her and Ryan Reynolds, because he's now became like part of this, like whatever is at stake is not worth this. Yeah. Like I know that, I feel like the underlying thing was actually them trying to take the rights to the movies. To the movie and then so they can make this sequel.
30:55Sure. And I'm sure that is wildly profitable and there's a lot of money on the line, but like it is not worth this. You have kids, kids you have taylor swift you have like literal subpoenas all it's just like you guys are rich and successful just let this die or yeah or pull the plug and be like all right never mind and like your egg on your face but just go back to your awesome life yeah this and like just leave us sort of like in the dust of confusion and now it's messing with marvel and yeah all that's like and i think the whole industry like nobody wants to touch this with a 10-foot pole like i think that the movie and people forget that there was a movie based on like the most popular book of the last five years like it should have been nominated for that golden globe of like box office movies and like the oscars of like success it was so successful and like i didn't watch the movie i did read the book but i have i i watch the movie no i i have not watched or read the book uh i i feel like that issue almost got like skirted because of the celebrity drama but I feel like at least everything I learned about it was that Colleen Hoover and Blake Lyley like the way they approached that and made it into like this rom-com thing yeah like I really don't like Justin Baldoni's grift but the fact that he was like working with the women's shelters and the foundations and all that felt like he was taking that topic more seriously than like grab your flowers and go with your girlies and I was like this is about abuse you know it was a very strange correct but i will disagree with you on just that point because something that made the book really good is like you're reading the book and you think it's a colleen hoover love story like and the domestic violence like kind of is so surprising and also confusing at first that you have to like you sort of go through this journey like the main character does of like wait what was that like was that an accident like and i understood why they didn't want to promote the movie as like being about domestic violence because it's not like a spoiler but it does take away from the experience of like watching it unfold watching it unfold which contributed to like how it's not so cut and dry at first like she something happens and it could have been an accident and then it's just like it's gray and then it's not so I understood why the they wanted it to not be all about that because the book like isn't really like that so that was something that she did that and the studio had said like we don't want you to promote it as a move so when she didn't that didn't bother me but I understand how it looks right and especially when one guy is going like so far the other direction that was like him just I think being like the worst yes yes but still not a sexual harasser perhaps right it's also one of those things like if you do a good thing for the wrong reason it's like was he really like I think he brought a bunch of survivors and victims to the premiere and like donated and that's all very good things I think he's doing it for his part of his grift but is it if you make those people happy Yeah.
33:46So, but then that all kind of falls by the wayside once you go into the, I mean, the drama of the website and the text messages. Yeah. And I was reading like 150 pages of text messages. I was like, what am I doing right now? I know. It got so dramatic. And I just, I just feel like, and Ryan Reynolds kind of gets pulled in and he goes kind of from like the golden boy to like everyone kind of. I think he's sus. He, he's just such a one. I used to always think he was sus. And then when this actually all started to happen and I never was like obsessed with her, like I never really thought about her.
34:17But then I felt really defensive of them. I'm like, this is a nice couple. Like they don't deserve this. Like no one does. Right. And now I'm back on the sus train. I mean, it's almost a shame that Baldoni is such a slimy dude because if he was just like a good person, I think it would be like open and shut. Yeah. You guys are being horrible to this guy. but I mean and then the Taylor Swift wrinkle is like the most dramatic of all that's the latest so last week and we had shared that he had subpoenaed Taylor Swift he heard that she had these like threatening messages from Blake's team saying like you need to come out and publicly support me or else I'll like show these messages that you sent did you before we do this did you believe like there was that news cycle of like Taylor wants her out like she's no longer friends the dragon comments Right.
35:06For a long time, like, no, because I feel like everything that they say about her that's like conjecture is just wrong. I even saw a headline today that's like Taylor Swift seemingly celebrates Justin Baldwin because she went out to dinner. So she had dinner and so she's celebrating someone's legal win across the country. I mean, the dots that we can connect are. I mean, people just make up stories. People just make them up. It's like fan fiction. It really is. Just making things up. But like Blake is the godmother or Taylor's the godmother of Blake's children. Taylor writes songs about her children.
35:33Like, I think that that's a friendship that's harder to break. than just like someone who's composing an inconvenience and getting bad press. Here's also what I, I mean, I don't know too much about her songs. I know that she's had the kids like. In names in the songs. And also like their voices. The gorgeous. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh, so you know that. Yeah, yeah. But. I don't know that. But making Taylor Swift, making anybody the godmother of your kids three times, I think is a little weird. Like I almost feel like that's a one way thing. Oh. You know what I mean? Yeah, yeah. She wants Taylor Swift to be the godmother.
36:06Again, I'm making fan fiction here. I don't know. But it just feels like in doing it myself, it's kind of like you do like your sister and then her brother. And it's like, I think you want Tyler Swift to be the godmother of your kids. And she did it like a bunch and wants to be. I could say, I want Taylor Swift to be the godmother of my kids. And all of a sudden we're so close. Taylor Swift can say no. You know, you call up, you want to be the godmother of kids. We've already done this twice. I don't want to. No, you just keep, you know. So part of me almost feels like that was. It was like a clout.
36:30Yes. Like she's very. You wouldn't think Blake Lively is looking for clout. But when you're talking about attaching yourself to that one, like, yeah, that's the most cloud of all. So, I mean, I really I don't know anything about their relationship other than like they went to a football game once together and the godmother stuff. But I would be if it was me and you're calling me dragon and like talking about that and using me and like your shit, I'd be like, I don't like that. Yeah. My thought was like they were so such good friends. This was just like my feeling, like such best friends, like a sisterhood, almost that like there's nothing that that person could do that would surprise you.
37:02So like when, like I would ride for any of my friends, even if they are objectively wrong, but like I would think that they're right because that's my friend. Like I, like we think the same, we do the same. So like to drop like a lifelong friend, because it just doesn't feel congruous with like true friendship. Right. So maybe to your point, they weren't as good of friends. But I do think she was like Taylor's strongest celebrity friend. Like, you know, she has Abigail. She appeared that way. Yeah, like she was always like she's been around the longest in forever and so much so that their families are like intertwined.
37:35So that was what was surprising to me. But I guess maybe the friendship just wasn't what we thought it was. I also think you reach a point with a girl like Taylor Swift who like disappeared for a couple of years, went through hell, Scooter Braun stuff. And then you come back and you've, you know, made it basically like beat everybody, beat Kanye, beat Scooter, all that. and then all of a sudden there's like this chance that this movie and this guy and all this shit might tear you down or you get involved in a lawsuit or whatever I would be very quick to be like keep me though I want to be excluded from this narrative like I'm not risking it for all this you know what I mean yeah but I think if it was like a better friendship yeah yeah like for like a sisterhood I think we'll find out if then yours is moral compass is like I wouldn't drop my friend because of what people are saying especially if you believe her story and she's at the level where she can do what she wants this won't ruin her reputation, like even if she's like in the muck with them, I think people also can see through that they're sort of using her name to like every time her name's in the case, like we're talking about it.
38:33So I just feel like it's not like her celebrity status is so precarious. So like she has no, I can't have a whiff of scandal. You know, there are people out there. There's the Candace Owens of the world who like, you know, latched on kind of like looking for an angle to tear down Taylor. I don't think it will happen. But if there was even a chance or I had to go through that or whatever, I don't think this would be like, well, yeah, I agree with that. But anyway, so the tea this morning is that apparently the insider and then last week, Justin Baldoni's team like rescinded their subpoena of Taylor.
39:00Yeah. So, OK. Then Page Six is reporting this morning that the insider who leaked Blake Lively's alleged threat to release Taylor's private text has been revealed. And they're saying it's her father, Scott Swift. He reportedly drama. I didn't see that when I thought it was going to be like some publicist. I was like, this is smelly here. Yeah. But no, he reportedly went to Justin Balnone's team with the bombshell claim that Blake Lively threatened to leak his daughter's texts. If the pop star did not publicly support her in the ongoing feud with her, it ends with us co-star. The Daily, an insider alleged to the Daily Mail on Friday that Scott Swift did not want his daughter to be dragged into this any further.
39:37And he voluntarily gave up this information as part of a deal that would include Justin's team withdrawing their subpoena for Taylor. Well, looks like that happened. Girl, dad, let's go. Yeah. I mean, I'm sure there's a world where, like, Scott is his name. Scott Swift should probably just stay out of her business. She's a multi-billion dollar enterprise, whatever. But, like, if that was me, if that's my daughter, and, like, I know that that's going on. And I think, like, he works on her team. Right, so he's not just, like, a dad who's sticking his nose where it shouldn't be. Yeah. I have no problem with him riding like that and just being like, I'm not letting you get my girl like that.
40:13No, I kind of like it, too. Yeah. like I'm sure Taylor and Tree Payne everybody doesn't want like the family out there but I think there's like they should almost lean into this in a way and be like yeah like daddy's little girl is not going to be like exploited extorted none of that shit no and like if it was Tree then it goes sort of back to like this manipulative PR narrative of like you know she's like pulling the puppet strings her and Taylor but when it's just a dad protecting his daughter it's just love it's just like you're love it's just love yeah I mean I also is it like the lawyers or was it blake lively you know was it like blake lively's lawyer talking to taylor swift or taylor swift lawyers saying i do need you to publicly support us because that's also it's being characterized as like blake lively texted taylor if you don't publicly support me yeah that's very different than lawyers doing what lawyers do trying to like win the case you know but also like it going through lawyers is kind of even more escalated like because it just has a like when you want to tell your friend something you just like text them and even if you come up like a crazy like you send a rage test like that's how friends friend yeah yeah i wouldn't have my lawyer tell my friend's lawyer that my friend needs to do something right that's where i i feel like if that's the road this has gone down either there wasn't that close of a friendship or if there was it's it's gone now yeah doing lawyers like that and your dad is out here like defending you i love that i think that's awesome i think it's really cute and i i mean it's it's i think Baldoni's lawyer, what's his name, Brian Steele, I think is very smart.
41:42Oh, you know the lawyer? Yeah. Gorgeous. You're like, I'm very happy to be here because I'm like, I can talk about all these things that nobody on my show cares about. But like, I think he is, I think it's very smart to pose this at least as like, we don't want to bother Taylor. You know what I mean? Like, we got what we need. You don't need to be involved. And then it's almost like she's on your side, if you will. Like, I think he's been playing it very, very smart so far. Yeah, and it looks that way as long as nothing worse happens. Every time someone does something right, it gets totally...
42:16Swings back the other way. When I saw what was supposed to be a bombshell clip of Baldoni, this was when the cameras were rolling. And it was like, I don't know, that looks like a kissing scene in a movie. None of the smoking guns were really smoking guns. No, yeah. I totally agree. Those clips just made me never want to watch another movie. Yeah, I was like, you're slimy and smarty. It's weird, like you're both married and you're kissing each other. and like even when the cameras are stopped rolling you're still holding each other. Do you think there's any of that going on? That they're like, they were in, well, that could have been, some people say like that's how it started.
42:48She had a crush on him. I really don't think it's that juvenile. I think it's more so about stealing the second movie. But no, I feel like you like hold that, like actors are just weird and seeing those clips like just made me realize that even more so. It's just a weird profession. It's reality show. You know what I mean? It's like it's all just for appearances and attention and all that. But I also when I talk about it, people are, you know, a lot of the guys traditionally are like, who cares about this gossip? And I can't get it. But also you're talking about if you like movies and you like Hollywood and it's like this was kind of like a hostile takeover of a movie and book series.
43:20Like, that's interesting to me. Yeah. This is all rooted in business and money and like, you know, trying to take the rights. I think there's something whether you're, you know, yeah, Hollywood gossip. It's like this is business. Yeah, I agree. High level. It's very interesting. In the weeds every single day. Not my favorite. But we go like we're probably once a week around here. Little update. Next story was some big news from last week that we absolutely have to talk about because Justin Bieber like is what I mean, the overall question is always what's going on with him. But especially so because Haley Bieber was on the cover of Vogue.
43:55She had a beautiful Vogue spread. She did some hysterical videos with Vogue. Just like such a beautiful moment for her in general for any woman. She talks about her postpartum experience, pregnancy. It was just an amazing interview. I'm sure you saw the videos of her with like the tincture and like just overall, like couldn't have a negative thing to say about it until her husband chimed in with the world's weirdest Instagram caption. I would call it not a great one. Not a great one. So Justin Bieber posted the cover to his Instagram, pretty much recounting a memory of a fight that they had. And he had said, hold on, let me get the quote here.
44:35He said, yo, this reminds me. Yo, yo is like almost the worst part. I haven't read it out loud yet. It's going to be painful. Yo, this reminds me when Haley and I got into a huge fight. I told Hales that she would never be on the cover of Vogue. Yikes, I know. So mean. He recalled slinging the insult because he felt so disrespected and thought I got to get even. He said, I think as we mature, we realize that we're not helping anything by getting even. We're honestly just prolonging what we really want, which is intimacy and connection. so baby you already know but forgive me for saying you wouldn't get a vote cover because clearly i was sadly mistaken so after a few hours of being dragged for this he changed the caption to a bunch of emojis but the stench remains i'm gonna stand up for bbs a little bit on this one okay i love that in not almost a devil's advocate i just mean i love devil's advocate i love and not yeah like because there's really no defending this one but i think this is just another like he put his foot in his mouth as like a dumb husband who like thought that he was owning up to something like and it probably was a fight and she was right and he's thinking i'm gonna publicly like own this and and it just you know did not come across that way at all whether the words the timing whatever um i would hope maybe i'm hoping that because if it is just like, okay, she has all the attention.
45:56How do I take it away? Then that really is shitty. But I think it was more of like a I mean, guys are dumb a lot of times. The EQ of a lot of guys is very low. I don't think it's as like sinister and sinister as like she can't be about her. It's about me. I think he thought he was like saying something good about himself and something good about her. But it just did not come off that way at all. If that was public, if he had said in the past you're never why ever that would be public but and then he just said like posted his his former headline and was like i was wrong right but to expose it people didn't know this and then you expose it and then ruin the moment it just and like in the first moment of the cover like if he just posted the cover was like proud of my girl and then like later i don't know on a podcast or whatever he does it's like you know what we once actually or whatever interesting little tidbit that's like a little more understandable i feel like people do that and they're like you know sort of telling on themselves, but it was a learning moment.
46:53Right. And she did it on a Dax Shepard show. Yeah. Or you're like exposing your marital problems. But like in that, that moment should just be congratulations, baby. Right. Right. Then it was really bad. And I also think like her, right. You know what? At one time, Justin told me, and then you, you know what I mean? Like, but to, uh, I do think that was probably like, once he saw the reaction, he was probably like, Oh my God, like I'm an idiot. not like a well I hope I don't know maybe I'm giving too much credit in the context of his recent behavior it's worse if he was just coming off solid as a rock and he slipped up with this ill timed post like I'm a forgiving person and I am and even here I feel as though I'm giving grace in the moment but just like in the context of everything else that he's been doing in the last few weeks and acting and looking and being but doesn't that I almost feel like more sympathetic yeah Like he's not in a good spot.
47:51I think he's not enough for me where there's smoke, there's fire. Like, I don't believe that he's broke, but I think there might be financial troubles. I don't know what, what the truth is with the Diddy stuff, but there's enough, even just those headlines. Yeah. If, if, if something happened, then it's like, yeah, you are a victim and I'm sure you've been, your life is very tough, but even just like having the headlines, if they're untrue, you're like, how do I handle this? And like, none of it seems healthy. I'm sure his entire life has not been healthy. Yeah. being in the spotlight since you're like 12.
48:20I give that guy a lot of grace because I know he's been kind of an idiot and he's done like dumb juvenile shit. But I don't think it's as easy for Justin Bieber as people would imagine like, oh, you're a pop star and you're handsome. And you know, I think he's gone through some dark shit. Like, yeah, that's either like literally the worst thing that can happen to you or at the very least exploited and all that sort of stuff, you know? Yeah. So in that case, it's almost like, oh, I think you're not in your right mind and you're not thinking straight at all and that might explain why that post was so tone deaf and stupid yeah i think he's not in his right mind at the moment but i feel like in the last few years like he was more in his right mind like if and there was a time when he was like really acting out and then he sort of went away and he like and then he got married and he has a baby and it's like again why now perhaps did he perhaps financial issues i don't know none of it's good though like again if it's true you're in a real bad spot and if it's not it's like do i deny this do i you know it's one of those things do I acknowledge the rumors I don't know what to do in those spots you know there's really no right answer anymore I agree well I think that's very generous but I'm sure he was in the dog house I think he lives there I think he lives there I think every day I've always said that the dog house is not a place that most guys go back and forth it's just how big is your dog house do you have enough room to like spin around and like sit over here and sit over there.
49:45Or is it just like one dog house that you're permanently stuck in? Yeah. That's how big is it today? Do I have a little bit of wiggle room or am I totally fucked? That's the dog house. Our next story, I would say is also good for your business because Jordan Hudson continues to fuel engagement rumors with Bill Belichick by sporting a ring on her left ring finger. So what are your thoughts on Jordan and Bill? Jordan Hudson is, this is, so I'm a Jets fan from the football point of view. the Jets fans. I do want the football point of view here. So like we hate Bill Belichick. We hate him. Okay. As a Jets Jets and the Patriots are in the same division.
50:21Right. So that means you play like to get to the playoffs. You have to win your division. The Patriots won the division a billion years in a row. Bill Belichick at one point was supposed to be the Jets head coach. He resigned by writing on a piece of on a napkin. I resign as head coach of the New York Jets and just like handed it over. It's a lot of history between the Jets and Tom Brady and Bill Belichick and the Patriots. And he's won. Like there was no it wasn't a rivalry. He just kicked our ass forever. Right. So I hated this guy. And he was this like football Darth Vader, like, right. Like nothing but football.
50:53So this is like, when I tell you that from a football fan point of view, this might be the most shocking thing to ever happen. Like I'm not exaggerating. Like in no world did anybody ever predict that Bill Belichick would have a 24 year old girlfriend who's like a Disney princess villain running his life and like causing this scene like I would have told you anything else is possible than this so as a Jets fan watching his legacy you know a little bit like fall apart is very satisfying as like a guy as a man who I'm like watching this dude who had this amazing sports life and now it's kind of being ruined by whatever this is i'm like what are you fucking doing yeah uh it it is i can't even put into words how insane do you feel bad for him or you couldn't so you know what's funny when i my first thought was like this is going to appear to be like old creepy man yes and it did like grooming young lady i feel like it flipped it's young lady elder abuse advantage of an old sick man yeah like that i didn't see coming just because you know the way the world is and the way the optics would look and think oh he's a dirty old man yeah he's just buying and she has to sleep with him like he has to do her shit classic stuff but yeah you know the good old but then like there was one headline I don't remember which one it was but it was like all of a sudden it flipped to Bill is trapped and she's like it was the interview yeah that was really what like set it off but she she legit looks like Ursula when she becomes the human.
52:32Vanessa. She steals the voice. She looks exactly like that. Kind of the big crazy eyes and the brunette. I think this girl is nefarious. I think she is, you know what I mean? You guys don't understand our love. You're acquiring millions of dollars of real estate. You're COO of a company that doesn't exist. She did it before with another rich old guy. There was a moment where people were kind of treating her some people were like she's like a girl boss like and i was like dude she's 24 i'm i don't like maybe you're smart and successful but you still don't know like anything about anything yet and you're acting like you know everything about football and media and all this shit that it's like relax you know yeah i would agree with that question for you that we couldn't get to the bottom of on the show why is he coaching college football now at unc so he he kind of like split from the patriots in a very he said she said like they say we fired you he says no we left on you know whatever terms um so once you know he's he's like dominated the the pro level won every super bowl there is to win and i feel like it was kind of it's almost like a um you're easing into retirement you know what i mean like yeah college is a lot less pressure like you go up the mountain and then back down yeah and rather than just like retiring all the way like i don't have anything in my life yeah it's and unc it's not like he went to like like if you went to alabama alabama is like a really pressure-packed have to win every year yeah unc is just thrilled to have a football legend coach there's only upside right so i think they were like sure let's get bill belichick now all of a sudden it's like his 24-year-old girlfriend is coaching the team and they're probably like what the fuck is going on oh my god well is that like a normal thing for coaches to like then go coach college oh oh that uh not to have their girlfriends there's enough there's a couple coaches that like go both ways like i dominated in college now i want to try my hand at the pros usually those guys go to the pros and like flame out because when you have grown men they're making millions of dollars they don't just like worship the ground you walk on it's hard to coach you know yeah going the other direction is like i went from tom brady to like this 18 year old kid who just is gonna do whatever i say you know yeah so in that sense i think it does make sense um but it everything feels weird to me now what once was just like oh yeah he's just gonna coach like a small time right but now I'm like was she involved in this yeah you know did you want to retire but like she made you take a job or you needed something to stay in the media I don't know I just have like my tinfoil hat on with everything because this is so weird yeah that it felt strange to begin with and now I'm like there might be even more than what we see yeah his family is they must be so pissed like where are his kids there's I think there's his daughter his daughter-in-law spoke out like on an Instagram comment and was like, this is bullshit.
55:26But like the actual, I don't think the actual Belichick kids have said anything. I heard that she ran into his ex-wife and they had words. I saw that. I don't know. I go back and forth too, though. I'm a very big fan of like, let people live their life and do what they do. He's like a grown man. It doesn't seem like he has like cognitive issues. So if you want, he has millions of dollars. You want to give a few million to this girl? I don't know. It seems weird, but if he's happy, she's happy. Everything's as long as it's all, consensual and safe like then leave them alone it looks weird but not the first and not the last but then there's a part of me that's like i don't know we gotta draw a line somewhere and we can say that it's like it's weird you know we could just say that and also her she keeps portraying herself as like this i'm his i'm not his girlfriend i am his right yeah i would say i would counter that with then you're doing a bad fucking job right because all the talk if if you were to analyze another celebrity with a PR person, it would be like, if everyone's talking about your PR person, that's not good.
56:24Right. Talking about you and the job and the fact that we have drama trending negative now. So, so that's not good. Yeah. You're not hitting the targets. Right. So either you're bad at your job or you're kind of lying about your job. One or the other, as far as her with an engagement ring, like whether or not they're engaged, if they get married, I don't think it really matters. Like they're together. As long as they're together, they're together. the initial report was she has told at least one person I don't think Jordan Hudson is the type to do that quietly I think if she gets the ring and they're getting married it's going to be a Justin Bieber post yeah or maybe it's like she wants to be engaged to him so she's like kind of putting it out into the world like we're engaged here's a ring on my finger so much to the point that like people already think they're engaged and it's like oh so why don't why don't we just do it yeah he's like whatever he's going to walk down the aisle in a cutoff hoodie and what's with the holes in the shirt it's just what he's always done uh he's always been like a very like he literally wears hoodies with cut off sleeves and holes on the sideline uh doesn't do like social media or any of that stuff that's why it's so crazy when he's on instagram doing like yoga poses on the beach she's dressed like a mermaid it's like i crazy i can't even i was trying to think of like a of an analogy of like this would be like if taylor's I can't even think of something.

1:02:38Demi Lovato got married this weekend inside her pure magic wedding to husband Jordan Jutes Lutz at an oceanfront estate. Okay, I guess his name is Jordan Lutz and people call him Jutes. And I like that. That's cute. I like a little contract. What are they called? I know what you mean. You know, like that commercial, like, I think it was like an Orbit commercial where it's like they just do that with Worth. Yeah. Who do you think is the first couple? Do you think Brangelina was the first one? Oh, that's a good question. They were among the biggest. If they're not the first, they were the biggest.
1:03:13Yeah, that's always fun to have a couple name. Yeah. So Jutes, and now Dutes, I guess. Demi and Lutz got married in a romantic wedding on Sunday as first reported by Vogue. So it was a Vogue wedding, took place in Santa Barbara. Pictures are in Vogue and also some aerial photos, paparazzi photos of the wedding. Very beautiful, very traditional. like there which i think not celebrity it was just kind of like standard well yes it was like very like standard like girly getting married but also demi has been very alternative for much of how we've known her i think that she would be like like a rocker black wedding dress like but no she's like going all out i you know in a chuggy like fashion which i love what do you Revere.
1:04:28I feel like I can, interesting part here in general i'm not like picking apart people's weddings but every once in a while a wedding comes along that just changes the whole industry game yeah so i would say like the last wedding and we could relate on this would be olivia colpo and christian mccaffrey that's like the last great wedding because like the look the aesthetic of it or the aesthetic the location the celeb the couple the people who came the two of them they come from like both celebrities but a little bit different worlds yeah and then her dress was weirdly controversial it was literally the most traditional conservative dress you've ever saw so like that that one something like that i love and then before that was like sophia ritchie grange like she set the bar high for a bride so every once in a while like a wedding comes along that i'm like my ears perk up um but typically no i'm not like gooped and gagged for someone else's wedding unless i happen to be engaged.
1:05:23Yeah, right, right. I just feel like it's a there's a divide there with guys and girls. Oh, for sure. You know what I mean? I can get involved in a lot of the gossipy stuff, but there's never going to be a world where me and the guys are like, did you see Demi's dress? Did you see Olivia Colpott's wedding dress? Right. Well, actually, I think we have a question about that at Dear Toasters. I wanted to get your opinion because it has to do with a couple planning a wedding. But our fifth and final story, just some fun news, is that Alex Earle is joining Dancing with the Stars season 34. So the whole cast hasn't been announced yet, but Alex Earle is joining Robert Irwin, who is Steve Irwin's son.
1:06:01I believe he's on the cast and she's on the cast and we'll await who else is on it. But she's doing Dancing with the Stars, which I actually feel like is surprising. I think it's a big gap for Dancing with the Stars. It is a big gap for Dancing with the Stars. And I feel like Dancing with the Stars is like one of those things. A lot of people like look down their nose on it and would never do. And it's like a mark of like just not bad has b-level reality star type thing but i feel like there are people myself included who are like if i get famous i want to go on dance stars like it's a dream yeah i feel like for her it's like that and i think for her doing like more traditional television is like what she wants to do she just hosts uh presented at the amas last night so proud of us for getting through this episode without mentioning the amas yeah like seriously so irrelevant i actually turned on the beginning and thankfully I got distracted and I could only watch JLo's opening performance.
1:06:48Yeah, she's just kissing a bunch of people. She's just kissing a bunch of people and like dancing her ass off. Like for what? Like why is she working so hard? That was crazy. I didn't even, I guess I was like Jennifer Lopez is like, that was stunning. It was crazy that she was hosting. Yeah. Because like she's not a host. I was like, is she performing? No, she's hosting. Why is she hosting? None of it makes sense. In service of what? Like I feel like it's to sell tickets for her next tour, her resident, whatever she has next like to show like j-lo still got it she can dance she can sing i got a message received like yeah we know like understood she's a she's a tough one she's she's got pr issues i know but i just feel like no one can tell her anything no if she wants to do something she's gonna do it yes 100 um so i do see like this trend with alex earl where like she's obviously conquered the internet getting on tv it's like even though she's more interesting and has more influence than the whole network like it's a different beast it's funny you always want like what you you know what i mean there are if you're conquering traditional media you're like i would kill to be a tiktok star and when you're a star you're like let me go and dance with the stars right i think dance with the stars is like i understand that because they i think they went through a lull where there was probably a lot of like rejects or yeah like has-beens has-beens is a good word but i also think they've been around for like probably 35 seasons now and it becomes a little bit of a nostalgia thing and Like if you do get a couple big names, it's, it's still like an institution, you know?
1:08:10And I think, but I think this is like Alex Earl does not need to do like anything she doesn't want to do. So she, that means she wants to do this and she's excited to do it. That's big for them. I agree. And then also when you think about it, like, you know, she'll be on ABC once a week, eight o 'clock, like that's going to open her up to more people that don't know the exact people who don't know her, which is not that many people at this point, but there she is. For people who don't, it's all, you know, it's going to get 10 million viewers or whatever. Like all 10 million are meeting Alex Earl.
1:08:39So when you, when you conquered like a whole sect of the world, basically, you got to go to these like alternative, you know, spots to get more, you know, another demo. Yeah. And that's what I think is going on here. It's just almost backwards in a way, you know? Yeah. Like at some point, you know, you probably always want to be cutting edge and cool, but eventually you're like, if I've done all that, I got to go get like the moms in the Midwest. here I go Dancing with the Stars I think she'll be great she went on GMA and was talking about how she danced in high school she has like a dance background she's not dancing illiterate but she's obviously not like a professional which is also like an issue it's a good spot to be though it is because also when you're professional people hate on you because it's like what do you hear you're meant to be an amateur right but if you're amateur who's good you're like right on that line then you go you advance and if you have a lot of fans you get the fan vote and then you get a decent score and that's how you win Dancing with the Stars this also makes me feel like she is trying to be like uh maybe like a host of good morning america or something like that like i want to be like a traditional yeah i'm not just going to be the internet podcaster especially like i don't want to call her daddy maybe uh like reputation whatever right right feels like i'm trying to be like in every home in america right and i think it's a good strategy and we've said like her and her family i feel like they're gonna have a reality show or they're right for it they'll be great for it so what ended up happening like there was that you know rift with alex and then she let her go, right?
1:10:01Was that like amicable or? No, definitely not amicable. I think Lix L-I-X Earl wanted to leave the network and then by the time they got around to making the arrangements where like she was leaving, then Unwell put out a statement, we've dropped her and they said dropped. And she's like the biggest show on the network like obviously wasn't dropped. So that's where I think it was like getting contentious but if they had parted more amicably maybe there would be like a way back to a friendship or whatever but that was a burned bridge and any whispers about it at the barstool office um it was there was like dave joked about hiring her because when grace left barstool alex signed her so he made a like an identical tiktok to what alex made alex cooper made about signing grace i think that like people a lot of people missed the joking part of that dude i thought it was real too there's no reason like dave can do all this shit you know no and even though i probably i think i saw the one that like alex made with grace it never it didn't compute like this is just i mean i texted him being like are you signing her and he was like uh i don't think anyone in the world can afford that girl like she doesn't need to be on a network but i definitely thought it was real i think i thought it was real too yeah i forgot there's so much lore between unwell and barstool i was just thinking about the call her daddy stuff but then also the grace stuff yeah i mean the so alex came to alex cooper came to the Barstool office like a year ago and she was filming her documentary that I think is like on the verge of coming out and it was very like you know Alex has gone on to become this like superstar but never really like she's been kind about Dave and Barstool but it was not like she was like I came from Barstool or you know Barstool proud right and when she came back in it was like with the cameras and everything it was very like I'm home I'm back and I think a lot of people were like uh uh you never even like talked to me when you were here you know but i ended up i don't know if it's gonna make it at all but i did like it they interviewed me for the documentary and um they were they were kind of going an angle like almost like a feminist angle where like it was hard for her to be like a girl at barstool right and i was like no like not at all like she clearly thrived like nothing was hard you know what i mean and they were like but but it was different and i you know they were hammering that so i'm a little bit nervous if that comes out like how that's going to, you know, appear.
1:12:26But that was funny. Did they talk to the other women at Barstool? No. Like Fran and Maria? No, I don't know if they were in there. You could talk about being a woman at Barstool. I was going to say, yeah, why don't you talk to me? Go talk to the girls, you know? Like, in addition to. Right. But I was just more like, I never thought Alex was going to be, I don't think anybody did, probably aside from Alex, think she was going to be like the level that she was at. And when she first came in, it was kind of like she was, you know, ruffling some feathers and it was a little bit like dramatic and I was like I don't know if it's gonna work boy was I fucking wrong it worked yeah so that was more what I was saying in my interview was like before the show started like before the show started to take off yeah yeah like early on it was just like you know like a raunchy sex podcast yeah which is fine like I mean I kind of had one of those for a while but like it was it was more like she just came in and it was like I don't give a fuck and and there was kind of a hierarchy and she didn't give a shit about that and that's how you end up being like super successful yeah but at the time it was kind of like whoa what's what's going on here and like i don't know is this gonna work why aren't you like you know they were very kind of separate and it was just like eventually like oh you're so successful you can do that but in the beginning it was a little like but until you're so successful you can't do that yes yeah but and it went quick and then it's just like jealousy and you know territories and shit like that where people yeah where it's like why are you guys i remember watching their vlogs and they would like not go into the office and it was so funny right i'm sure if you're working at bar still like nine to five wait what about us yeah there was a lot of that for sure it was kind of like uh hey let's all be friends like come on the show and it was like yeah yeah yeah totally like like never getting in the culture like other people do that but they didn't they didn't and they didn't have to right did they ask about sophia at all like is she in this conversation at all when they for the documentary um or is she no i i don't think they I think they're just pretending that never happened man what a what a bag fumble that was that was the craziest time and the fact that it was all over uh that guy the hbo boyfriend suit man suit man is unfortunately for you know two girls and specifically one girl alex that were like bucking the trend and like you know everything that was about like men and women dynamics they threw out the window and then it all came down to a boyfriend you know what i mean at least for sophia where it was like you're listening to this guy you know what i mean it was almost like sad that it ended up resorting to that yeah like she should have just been like fuck this guy let's you know what i mean like let's just do like me and you hash it out but it was a guy right right right between the two of them not about the negotiations in general because like they had a case like their show is like the biggest like it was just an anomaly that it happened that is the eternal push pull is like right like you get all this and but you're giving up this and you just have to like wait out really it works like it's kind of 50 50 and you know if you're like dave and barstool you'll always claim we were the reason you blew up and if you're alex and sophia you would be like well without us there'd be nothing to blow up right but it's like it's just the perfect when it hits it really is you know yeah like and then you outgrow it and you move on but right but you have to like wait with that yes how do you feel when like athletes want to renegotiate their contracts before that they're up and they want more money if they're playing well that's kind of the the same thing where it's like but do you think that they should wait or that they should get more money in the middle uh it really depends on like you you run the risk of like injury and if you're really really good and you're healthy and you're like i would just bide my time and then when i'm a free agent like sign the most money i can what usually happens is if you sign early you give up some years later so it's like right now i'm making five hundred thousand dollars a year i could sign a contract where i make four million dollars a year that's great but that four million is also going to run into a few years where i could be making like 35 right so you think they should wait you think it's better for them to wait but say there's someone who doesn't want to wait like what do you think management should do I think it's always good to Keep good talent and Lock them up if you can Like Call Her Daddy Yeah well you know what's very interesting with Call Her Daddy And pretty much every show At Barstool because we've done a couple Like in-house ones we've done some like Celebrities who kind of come in as like mercenaries You reach a point where No matter how Big you are you can't justify Like certain salaries yeah you know and especially for like when we were owned by pen entertainment was like a casino conglomerate they were in growth mode they were like we don't care about necessarily turning a profit we just want to be bigger more talent more whatever if that's the case then like let's go right now dave owns the company again it's like his money it's his bottom line and it's like you are a monster but if i pay you 10 million dollars a year there's not enough ad reads and sponsorships and shit to make that money back right just impossible it's just math and you might be a loss leader and it might help the business other here but eventually it reaches a point where it's like go because we'll try to find the next one of you yeah yeah which is not easy but we've done yeah you guys have done a great job big fan thanks i i'm very the toast is one of the shows that really is always in like every uh every girl i ever speak to is always like you know it's it's we have a pretty uh my show specifically i would say is probably i think everybody thinks Barstool is all men, you know?
1:17:59Yeah. And I think our show is probably like 60, 40, like 65, 35. Like we have a lot of females. So like there's a lot of overlap because when we see them at live shows or we like interact with them, it's always, I'm like, who else do you guys listen to and like? And it's like without a doubt, 100 % the Toaster. The elk of toasters. No, I totally agree. That's why I think like everyone on earth is going to love this episode. I hope so. Wouldn't. Yeah. Especially because we're doing Deer Toasters. So Deer Toasters is our weekly advice segment. And if we ever skip it, like seriously, people riot in the streets.
1:18:27because they live for dear toasters. So I tried to pick some that we could really use the male perspective on. And let's get into them. Sure. First up, I've been dating my P. John boyfriend. That means precious gem of a man. So when they say P. John boyfriend, Is that a toast thing? That's a toast thing. And just know that like, he's a great guy. mention just like, the relationship might be worth saving because otherwise good guy. But obviously there's a problem if she's writing him. For four years, they've been dating and we've been long distance for the past two. We are about to move across the country and live together for the first time.
1:18:58I love him a lot and there have been zero red flags to date. That is until last weekend. While visiting him, I needed to borrow some socks and as I was reaching for a pair, I instead grabbed my own worn undies. I immediately pulled them out and saw there were several more pairs. Should I confront him about this? What should I say? Sincerely, a toaster who has been looking for her favorite pair of seamless skims for months. And this episode is brought to you by Skims, which is hysterical. That is funny. so he's been like stealing her undies what do you do these are the things that when you start to cohabitate you find some weird shit about people right i suppose we got to go a step further and be like what are you doing with said underwear it might be something that he's into and so on the one hand like it's theft like you're taking my undies they're like nice pricey undies at least take like the ones with holes um and on the other hand like it's a secrecy because like Like if this is your partner for four years, even if they're into something that's like a little off the beaten path, like you should know about that.
1:19:59Yeah. But I also think that I think you can be in like a good, healthy relationship and still be. Have like secrets, private things. Not secrets makes it sound bad. I'm a little nervous to tell you about this or like it's a kink or something that I'm like a little bit ashamed of or embarrassed about. And it's still hard for people to say those things. Do you think that they should, like, the goal is that they share those things? It might take time. Yeah. Well, if it involves other people's belongings and their intimate underwear, then. But I also think it's a function of the long distance relationship.
1:20:33Like, maybe this was how he was feeling close to you, like, in times of separation. They have moved in? They are about to move in together again after two years of doing long distance. Got it. So she was there, though. And so he's been, like, swiping these while they took apart. Yeah, yeah. I mean, that could be it. Right. And the problem solves itself when you move in together. But now do you want to move in with a panty snatcher? Yeah. And also, do you want to start off on like a lie or a secret or whatever? You know what I mean? Yeah. And the big question is like, do you talk to him about it?
1:21:05Like, do you mention I saw it? These are all things that you should, you should be very honest and you should, he should tell her I have like a fetish or whatever. And this is what I'm doing. She should be like, hey, I found these. But these are all hard things to do when, you know, you're a little bit afraid of like confrontation or whatever it may be. I think this is one that like maybe you like leave it out on top of the dresser. And he kind of gets the point of like. Oh, she saw. Yeah. It's on me to say something. Yes. Yeah. Yes. Or I don't know. I mean, I think probably the absolute best thing in this spot is to confront him in a very like understanding way.
1:21:52Gentleman. Yeah. Which is probably a little bit hard when you want to be like, what the fuck are you doing with my underwear? Right, right, right. But if you're just like, hey, I noticed this thing. It's a little bit unconventional. But like, if this is something you're into or you did it to connect with me or whatever. I mean, that is probably a super hard thing to do. But I would. It is a hard thing to do. I'm just thinking if I had some like dark, not dark, but just like deep, like secret kink fetish, something like that. You wouldn't want someone to approach you with it like hostility. And if someone approached me with it in like an understanding way, like if she said something like, hey, do you want me to like, do you want me to like give you a pair every week?
1:22:30I don't know what it would be, but if it was something like that and I would be like, oh my God, you like you're down or like you're cool. Right. I would probably be like, now I'm even more in love with you. Right, right, right. Right. But like, what about, what if she's not down and she's not cool? Yeah. Then, then we'd probably run into. Maybe there's compromise. Maybe it's like, okay, maybe not dirty undies, but like. Clean undies. Yeah. It's like, we're going to have to buy a whole lot more underwear, bro. These will be like the donated pairs. These are the ones I actually wear. How about next time I clean out my closet?
1:23:01Like you have the ones that I was going to cost. When it's like spring cleaning, we're switching seasons, something. Compromise. Because there's probably some world where she was like, you know, I got to go to a wedding. I need to wear this like form-fitting dress. I need like this. Where the fuck is this one pair of underwear? Especially he's stealing the skims. So like that is maddening. If you're like looking for the ones that won't have panty lines. Right. I got to go get new ones. I'm a toast or whatever. I don't know. He's kind of gaslighting her, you know, like looking for. No, I'm kidding.
1:23:28I don't use that. Gaslighting. I don't use that word in earnest. That word has gotten so. It needs to be banned from the human language. What did people say before that? you were tricking me tricking me like a motherfucker you were tricking me oh my god true it really is nothing worse than like an actual gaslighting so when people throw it around for like no we just disagree on a topic or so whatever you know what i mean like you got caught doing something whatever it may be for the people who are actually being gaslit they're probably like they're feeling gaslit yes your face gaslighting is gaslighting me right yeah but yeah that's a tough one i would say that any like i'm assuming there's some sort of sexual thing behind this you You know?
1:24:08Yes. And that's always a little embarrassing, but you're going to really be together forever. I'm hoping it's a sexual thing behind this and not a... I don't know what else it would be. The long distance thing does add a wrinkle where... Yeah. It adds like some plausible... Like sleeping with them at night? Like get a scent? I don't know. It's weird. What do you think about long distance? I don't have strong opinions on it. I think it depends like how old, like what stage in your life can you afford to... I feel like everything takes four times as long, long distance. Do you have that sort of time or not?
1:24:41I feel like it's not traditional, but if you're on like the same page, it can probably be really like you have, you both have your careers. You both have your free time. It's almost like kind of the extreme other end. But I feel like sometimes when people live together, they lose their, their individuality and all that stuff. Yeah. It's nice to like miss each other, but I do think it's not entirely real life all the time. Like you don't know what it's like to be with this person all the time and like hit that threshold of like okay now i hate you like how am i gonna work through that it's like i ran around calling you a pgom and now it turns out you steal my underwear right like i feel like when you're with someone for three days it's always only good you're not gonna have a fight but like you do need to have a fight at some point and like see how you guys get through that i agree but like do you well depending on your goals are like and i think that's if you want to have kids you want to like be around all the time right but if there's a world where it's like let's have fun every three like these three days that are awesome and then where everyone else starts fighting we like go to our separate corners and you know yeah country well two things one i feel like if you are a person with like gold like you have dreams for your life like you guys need to have a plan like there's an end in sight okay in two years he gets this promotion and he can move back here i'm gonna leave my job and move there and that's when i want to have like you need to like have an end in sight it can't just like go forever like yeah um but then it also reminds me a lot of page and craig i feel like they had exactly what you just described it's like three perfect days four hustle days back to each other we only ever like each other we're traveling so much he's coming to new york and it's in a fun way like and he likes coming here she doesn't like going there oops like theoretically if you didn't want to have kids and a family and you both had careers you could do that forever yeah yeah it's not traditional but it's like but if if both of you don't want to have families yes it can't be like one is secretly wishing for that which is kind of i think what happened with right i'm a big page the sorbo fan yeah what about craig don't say a bad word to me um i don't know him as much southern charm i've seen it but i know you're not in yeah so uh they they definitely are painting him away on bravo on summer house summer house you only that looks shitty but then i've seen like i've seen andy cohen like interviews with him where he's kind of like she said this and did that i'm like oh there's a little more one side or two sides to it yeah i really not to be annoying i really see both sides of how this went south like i see it from her side and i see it from his side and it's just to me sad i was gonna say but that's also that's a couple i remember saying when i was watching i was like you guys are just not meant to be together yeah or at least not right now but whatever it is like sometimes your career blew up you uh maybe you're insecure whatever is going on with him but like it's just not gonna work out not meant to be no and like especially when you're wanting different things at this current junction like he's ready to be done with this like tomorrow and she's like i just started my tour like yeah no it's not happening anytime soon and like so for that reason i do Which is tough though when you break up for like not like, it's not like we fell out of love or not attracted or whatever.
1:27:30It's just like a business thing. And that business probably will change. And then it's like, I don't know. It's hard to get with a new person when it's like, I know that you broke up with your last person really out of circumstances. Yeah. Not out of like. Not out of lack of love. But I do think now they hate each other. Yes. Now it seems like there's no love lost. Yeah. They're not pining over one another. No. So people can move on. Oh yeah. And he already has like a girlfriend, I think. new bitty which is i mean that's what he wants like he literally just wants partnership i was gonna say he's probably gonna find a like a southern girl who does want kids and like yeah and then you're good to go right yeah but yeah that definitely reminds me of that our last is this the last oh no that was only one oh my gosh we're moving so slow like this is the world's longest episode next hijacks and turt cross out kfc so my fiance is driving me nuts with wedding planning when we started the whole thing i asked how involved he wanted to be and he said he knows I'll do a great job and he trusts me, which is like the normal thing to say.
1:28:28But every time I tell him a plan that's been made for some of the wall options. Oh, but every time I tell him a plan that's been made, he has some off the wall opinions. He is a sweet man who is just excited for our wedding. But how the heck do I shut down these cringy suggestions without making him feel like I don't care about what he wants? P.S. I love you both. That's tough because I feel like there's probably a world where there's a lot of girls who would almost wish that their partner was like as involved as this guy wants to be but it's like only if you have good opinions and good taste yeah i don't even know who would wish their partner really yeah you want it yeah you want like free reign because unless if they're going to agree with you like thanks point like i was going to do it anyway and if they're just going to disagree with you like it's just more conflict weddings are already like so full of conflict do you not think that the guy should i think if you have a strong opinion about a couple things like i remember in my wedding my husband had a couple strong opinions about stuff of things that like he wanted and it's like okay let's definitely do those because like sure why not you want fireworks in our first dance or like sparklers or whatever cool like it's not important to me but like it's not a doesn't take away yeah so like i think every guy should get like the couple things but i don't think guys should have that many things like why do they why would a guy care so much about specific things i mean i'm with you but like But I guess if you do, it also comes down to money.
1:29:48I was going to say, who's paying? Who's cutting the check, you know? Yeah. I think it's probably best. I think the best of both worlds. I mean, listen, if you are a guy who's into that stuff, I think you have a right to be involved. But you probably should know that about like somebody. Yeah. And also the worst is when people are acting like, I don't care, babe, do whatever. You're my princess. And then they come in. They're like, oh, I don't like this, that, this, and that. And it's like, well, am I your princess? But I also think there's probably a lot of times where guys like go nuts and they don't realize what nuts.
1:30:19And I think wedding culture has gotten like insane. I agree. So I think when it's like, I think there's a lot of guys who have no. Like I had a big wedding. Sure. It gets carried away. It's the industry. They make you get carried away. I mean, they literally just add a zero to everything. Every girl who gets engaged is like, I want to have a small wedding. Like I would elope. I really don't care about my wedding. Like winds up having a huge wedding. There's no getting out of it. You feel like, you know, you're cheap or having a shitty wedding if you don't. And like it just by, you know, I have to keep up with the Joneses and then we're all just, now we're all having showers and weddings and events that were like, this is crazy, but how did this happen?
1:30:51How did this happen? It's like, okay, no, if I'm having a wedding, like I do need flowers on the table. So that's where I don't think a guy even understands until they go through it. When you're like, do whatever you want for the invitations. And they're like, the invitations are how much? Right. Like, well, I didn't know that. Well, do you get whatever flowers? I didn't know it was going to be$10 ,000 with the flowers. Like you think it's just about money or like do whatever you want with the invitations. and she designs an invitation that he has critiques on. I think it's pretty rare if a guy like really cares.
1:31:18I think it's more, it's money and also maybe like perception of how, like if you don't want to have a big wedding and all of a sudden you're having a big one, you kind of feel like, I don't know, a little gaudy or whatever. Yeah. It's pretty rare that a guy would be like, that calligraphy is not right or whatever, you know? Yeah, yeah, that font. So I think it needs to be like a, you go nuts and I have like five things. Yeah. I want this food, this drink, a band or DJ. Like those things are big deal. And the rest is like, you should just let her do her thing. Yeah. You won't even notice that budget.
1:31:47So the money's not, you know what I mean? Yeah. And go nuts. Yeah. Also, but if you're, if the girl's paying, right. Then you should fuck up, buddy. Even people who have unlimited budget, like still fight about their weddings. Like look at Brooklyn and Nicola and their families. Who's that? The Beckhams. Oh, Peltz Beckham, the biggest wedding. And like the whole families were fighting the whole time. Yeah. So it's not just about money. I was going to say it's, money doesn't cure like family in-law dynamics and all that sort of shit. No, it's really it's a very difficult process. It really, but it's so silly because it's just a big party and it causes money stress and family stress and it's like if it doesn't go smoothly, it's like boy, we're getting off on the wrong fucking foot here.
1:32:30Starting this marriage off in a bad spot. Do you want to get married again? Is that too big? You do? That's nice. Were you involved in your wedding planning when you got married um yeah um do you have any like what were you precious about i wanted a band i like a band yeah as far as like the decorations and stuff like that didn't bother me at all right um i just wanted to be like a good party so like good music on open drinks um all that sort of stuff but like as far as the the look and the decorations and all that i was like all good but yeah i feel like you know it was like that's like money and inviting families did you know it was very stressful it was like more stressful than i wanted it to be you know i think it's really stressful for everyone and then i also think people are like is this too is it really bad like are we in a bad spot well you know i feel like people need to normalize the fact that like it's a miserable experience if you're having a hard time crazy no i hear yourself let's normalize this thing that totally fucking sucks normalize not that it's like it would be nice if it went well but like if you're having a miserable experience like just know you're not alone and like you're not yeah yeah you're not like the exception like most people are having that right i do think you also run into at least i did like once the uh the glitz and glamour is worn off a little bit and you're now like we need to buy a house and it's like boy i wish we had that like 120 000 you have to buy a house yeah it's like we could just have the house but we had a one night party that was a little bit you know that's a tough one to swallow eating someone needs to do something about it.
1:34:06Someone needs to put their foot down. Just band together and be like, we're not paying. We're not gonna take it. It's also so regional too though. I feel like the Northeast is like, when I hear about bars, weddings that aren't open bar, I'm like, what? That's crazy. But there are, you know, you go like down south, they're like, yeah, you pay for your drinks. What are you talking about? It's like, or yeah, like you don't have like centerpieces and flowers and all that. So you think we're crazier here? Oh my God, yes. And like gifts and shit. Like you go to other places in the country, you get like a physical toaster.
1:34:37Yeah. Give me money because I got to pay for this fucking thing. Also, it's hard like in the city because you get a room, right? And now you have to outfit, you have nothing to work with. Like you have to do everything. The chairs, the covers, the everything, you know? When you're in the south, when there's better weather, you're on, in California, like you have the surroundings to work with. A lot of places here, like you don't have surroundings, especially if you're getting married like in the winter, like we're just in a room. Right. And now you got to dress it up. It is such a process, man.
1:35:02It's not easy, but you're right. You're not alone. if you're out there doing it. Yeah. Okay. Last one. And then like we have to get on with our lives, I guess. Like we have to end this episode at some point. Hi, Jackson KFC. I'm 26 weeks pregnant. Mazel tov. And my husband, who is usually a pijam, has been less romantic and loving towards me. I asked him about it and he said he feels weird being intimate while thinking of our baby in my stomach and also that some of my pregnancy symptoms like being gassy, achy, etc. are quote unattractive. He said that? He quote unattractive. Obviously, I am very hurt as if being pregnant hasn't made me feel unattractive enough as it is.
1:35:36How can I possibly forgive him and move past this? Thank you for your help in Daily Laughs. Damn. That's a tough one. I know, but remember, he's a pee-jum. He always seems like twice. This is where, like, I think, you know, honesty is the best policy and communication is everything, especially having, like, you know, been divorced. I'm like, I, you know, could have done better in that department and it would have been more successful. But there's something, little white lies. You can't be telling her you're unattractive. No, that's really so crazy. And also, listen, there's some level of, we all know that.
1:36:15As a woman, you're not feeling your sexiest, your best. You know it. You know it's not attractive to be bloated and gassy. We just don't need to say it. It's like, we all say you're glowing for a reason because we all got to get through this. It makes you wonder what kind of person would say this. like an incredibly stupid person an incredibly mean person you do say he's a p-job so i'm gonna go stupid yeah i will i it's almost like the bieber thing it's like you just put your foot in your fucking mouth yeah an idiot it sounds like there might be some deeper attraction issues though like i wonder what their sex life was previously like uh what can you do now like she's that is a hard and you can't put that toothpaste back in the tube like no and so we we're going to work through it and we're gonna we're gonna if it were me like the girly advice that we would give and what Claudia and I would give is like he needs to be reamed a new asshole yeah he needs to understand why he's so wrong for saying this and he's probably gonna have to just like grovel for the next lifetime doghouse by the way it's also like it's tough as a guy when it's like you're bloated and gassy and big it's like that's us all the time it's like we're hairy out of shape fat bloated gassy forever that's what you sign up for and they deal with that all Valentine.
1:37:27Like this is temporary. What's your Yeah, I will be hot soon. You will never be hot, bro. I think get mean. Get mean. Like just treat him like. Yeah, yeah. Just like seriously. Just bring him out. This is why it might be over. No. You might just need to split up a co-parent now. You need to find harmony. I want to find harmony here. That's probably one of those things. It's like for the rest of your life, she will just drop comments like, remember that time when I was pregnant and you said that I was unattractive? Right. And you have to like. But you know what else isn't good not to give this guy any credit but when like a man is treating you differently because he feels some sort of way and you're like you feel like you can feel that he's like being distant and like doesn't want to be lovey with you and it's like they won't say what's bothering them now he should have come up with something better and also he shouldn't be feeling that way he should find you carrying his child to be the most beautiful thing in the world um but at least it's not gaslighting you into thinking it's in your head yeah i mean there is like some level of girls always want, everybody always wants honesty, right?
1:38:28It's like, here it is. That's why I've said like, you gotta have some little white lies but it's like. But I only think a twisted individual wouldn't find his pregnant wife just so beautiful. Yeah, but there's also a difference between like, you know, I love what you're doing for our family versus like traditionally what's like sexy and hot in the moment is not really what's happening right now. I just think like an involved mature man, like, that is sexy and hot. That's huge. Yeah. real convincing you're beautiful just tell him to fuck off listen to the toast and like just doghouse like I don't know what to tell you that's really that's unfortunate that would make me really upset honestly that's a hard one to get through that's probably gonna be a lot of like forgiveness and uh you're allowed to be upset though like you don't have to get over it yeah that's not gonna just be like that's my advice right just be mad get mad and get even really yeah really good like you guys are We're off to a hot start with parenting.
1:39:23Yeah. Oh my God. No, stop. It's going to be great. You're going to be an amazing mom and he'll learn. They're slow, but men. You do have to give a little bit of grace. This one's particularly bad, but like we're, I would say most times it's coming from a place of dumb and not malicious, like 99 % of the time. And, and even more dumb than you can realize, because it's like, like it's really rare that a guy is like going to think through like all of the ramifications for what he's going to say or do, where it's like, I don't know. in the moment I was just trying to be honest or I was just trying to make you happy or whatever it is.
1:39:56And there's just not that second, third, fourth, fifth step of thinking. I agree with you. So I hope that makes you feel better. He's not mean. He's just dumb. Thank you so much, KFC. My pleasure. Where can everyone follow you? Listen to your show if they want more KFC, if they want more espresso martinis. Yes, everything. I'm on everything KFC Barstool. Actually, I just changed TikTok to Kevin.Clancy. But KFC Barstool in general is everything. KFC radio is the podcast that's every Tuesday and Thursday. I do my series on Instagram called one minute man, which is just like short form updates of all pop culture and like current events.
1:40:34And then midnight bean is the espresso martini, which will be available in all liquor stores, distributors, grocery stores, restaurants. It's just a matter of we're, we're kind of in that rollout phase. So a lot of people have been like, I've been looking for it and haven't found it. That doesn't mean it's not going to be there. It's just, apparently in America it takes a long time to get liquor into all these places. It does. And it's all state by state and regional. There's a lot of politics and laws. States rights. That's right. Well thank you so so much for giving us an hour and a half long episode.
1:41:07We love you guys very much. We will see you tomorrow. I have such a special guest already done and dusted in the books and I hope everyone has a great day. We love you. Bye.
