0:03Good morning, girlies. It's the toast. It's Jackson Claude and we're your hosts. It's your favorite show. The fast five things you need to know. We'll start your day off swirly. It's the toast.

0:22Jackie Oshry:I sound amazing. welcome back to the toast and happy Tuesday and you know what I'm choosing I'm choosing love I'm choosing joy and I'm choosing you miss filet how you doing I'm darn good how are you miss turtle turtles just turtling she kind of wants to hide under her shell because she's shy oh are you feeling shy today no but I'm feeling like I want to hide under my shell what's this weather two days in a row no sun you know me I don't know what to do with yourself when it's not sunny here I know what to do go home like why the fuck would I be here when it's not sunny it's like Like maybe we should make a chili.

0:56Like, no, I do that at home. Like that's what I do.

0:58Claudia Oshry:You don't want to make a chili here in this state. No, I'm like such a beach bum, you know? You are a beach bum. I love the beach. So what did you do yesterday though? It was cloudy and we weren't together. I got a manicure. Like I don't, like it was just like. Indoor things. Yeah.

1:13Jackie Oshry:And I just want to say like Florida does not have New York beat on the indoor things. Probably not. Florida has New York beat on the outdoor things. Of course. So when you remove that sort of element, we're not left with much. We have them all. You do have them all, which thank you so much for reminding me. I'm now one month into my ZipBound journey and I've lost eight pounds, which is obviously amazing, especially, you know, given the holidays. Like I. Things were working against you. One thousand percent. There were munchkins in the office yesterday. Like, oh, my God. I thought you meant like, Jackie, you can't say that.

1:42No, that was us.

1:43Jackie Oshry:From Dunkin Donuts. Yes, there were munchkins. And I sniffed them and left. Like, I'm literally a beacon of health and wellness. It's insane.

1:51Claudia Oshry:I didn't have one. And I just, I, that made it sound like I had one and I didn't. And I, and I'm also proud of that.

1:56Jackie Oshry:It's a, by the way, because if I was a breastfeeding mom and there was a box of munchkins in my midst, there would be no box of munchkins in my midst because I would have housed them.

2:04Claudia Oshry:Yeah. But I was just not starting off my day like that. Like I might fall for a munchkin at 3 PM, 4 PM, but not when we record at 6 AM. They're not going to catch you. We record so early. We do. Oh, speaking of, did your husband get home so late last night? He got home late ish. They played basketball. Did you hear what happened? Yes.

2:23Jackie Oshry:Oh, my God. So, like, literally, I was cracking up. Zach, Jackie's husband, plays in this, like, you know, weenie boys league. Pick up basketball. Pick up basketball. It's like, you know. Bunch of dads. It's so cute. Picking up basketball whenever they can. And they asked, Zach asked if Ben wanted to join while we're here. Because Ben loves to do a weenie basketball. Ben loves, like, a grown man pretending to be NBA player type of thing. And Ben has been going now, like, for two weeks. He says it's really fun. It's a great game. And last night, I feel bad saying it too. But last night, one, like literally five minutes into the game, like one of the dads dislocated his knee.

3:01Jackie Oshry:Ruptured his knee. And had to be taken to the hospital. Like, hashtag this is 35. Hashtag I'm thinking of his wife.

3:07Claudia Oshry:Because I told Zach, if that were you, I would of course take care of you, comfort you, support you. I would be so mad at you. What do you mean you went out and you broke your knee and you have to go to spend the night in the hospital? He was having surgery as that was telling the story. And what you're going to be not able to walk for how long? Right, right. Like parenting is a very physically. It's a two person sport. One thousand percent. Oh my God. I was also laughing because like, obviously it's terrible.

3:36Jackie Oshry:I hope the guys are okay. Like for real. But like, it's so funny. Like these are like a bunch of now like old men playing basketball five minutes in. One of them breaks their day. Oh, I was only thinking about his wife at home being like, I let you go play with your friends.

3:46Claudia Oshry:And now the next three months are ruined.

3:48Jackie Oshry:Yeah, I guess if Ben did come home with like an injury. No, not like no, even like a small one. I would just be like, that's just neither here nor there.

3:55Claudia Oshry:A small one you can ignore. Like, but imagine he had to go to the hospital.

4:00Jackie Oshry:Seriously, fucking crazy.

4:02Claudia Oshry:So those boys better think twice.

4:04Jackie Oshry:Yeah, I don't know if I'm going to be like, so like, yeah, you should go. Because Ben always every like every last two weeks, he's been like, should I go? It's like late. It's at eight o 'clock and I'm going to bed. He's like, should I? I'm like, you know what? I'm very encouraging because it's good physical activity. I do think he comes back feeling better. So I'm like, go, go. I don't know if I'll be so like encouraging next week. I never thought. I never saw this danger. It's kind of how like professional athletes really shouldn't be like, you know, skateboarding on the weekends. Because. Dad should not be engaging in high risk activities.

4:32When you hit a certain age, like a pickup basketball league is high risk.

4:35Claudia Oshry:Yeah. I think all pickup games are high risk. You know, people hurt themselves playing pickleball these days. Do they? Plantar fasciitis is very real and it's on the rise.

4:43Jackie Oshry:And it's a thing like pickleball elbow, like how you have tennis elbow.

4:47Claudia Oshry:Oh, yeah. Golf knee or whatever. That's giving nonsense, but yeah.

4:51Jackie Oshry:One thousand percent. Yeah. So it's Tuesday. We have Dear Toasters. We have stories. Oh, you know what came out last night that I need to watch tonight? Tell Me Lies, first two episodes. I saw. I need to watch as well. I didn't realize it was out. I'm very excited. I saw Grace Van Patten getting photographed in New York. She looked insane. She might be one of the prettiest girls.

5:11Claudia Oshry:like ever made yeah insane is there anything else on tonight I feel like there was something else Tuesday Salt Lake City but I'm not caught up I was I a reunion attempting to watch last night I'm still on season one episode now two of the new season oh you've got ways to go I've got ways to go like Max was up and down last night I was just like rolling kids up and down I didn't get to watch TV and then it was time to go to sleep so oh I did something weird last night I wanted to tell you but I called you need to pick up I tried kids up and down I like was trying to force a

5:42Jackie Oshry:co-sleep you know because one thing about my ruble like he loves his crib and we love that for him until mommy has a great you know work-life balance um but like I don't know while it's a great thing of course I part of me is like what if we wanted to cuddle he's like never into it but last night I was like I put him down and he was crying and he doesn't cry ever he goes right to sleep he So he figured he needed his mama. I pick him up, I lay him on my chest, I'm laying in bed, and he falls asleep. Like, oh, great. And Ben was going to his basketball league, and I wasn't doing anything, so I was like, you know what, maybe I'll go to sleep.

6:14Jackie Oshry:So I told Ben, he was leaving, I turned off all the lights and I get out.

6:20Jackie Oshry:I made a mistake, because he was sleeping soundly on my chest, but I wanted to scroll. So I put him next to me in the bed, once he had fallen asleep. And he woke up, he was like, what the fuck is this? And then I just let him lay there. He didn't say anything. I was like, are you going to fall asleep? And then Romeo barked and the whole thing ended. So I did not co-sleep well.

6:39Claudia Oshry:When he was sleeping on you, how was he sleeping?

6:41Jackie Oshry:Hardly on his belly, like in my neck. So why couldn't you scroll? Oh, I just like, I wasn't like the most comfortable. I just wanted him like in the bed.

6:51Claudia Oshry:I don't know where anyone got the impression. If you co-sleep, you will be a broken individual. Okay. So then I'm like, not really attracted. It's back breaking. It's arm breaking, leg breaking, neck breaking. really everything breaking and it's not the most comfortable position and then you can't move okay so yeah um but you got a little bit it sounds like a little bit of cozy yeah cozy yeah how long

7:14Jackie Oshry:five minutes i should have waited longer to like before flipping him over until he was like passed out yeah he was just like lightly dozing understood yeah i just like felt stupid afterwards so at what point did you call me like right after i put him down he went back to like he just needed maybe at a burp or something. The second I picked him up, he fell back asleep. I don't know what was bothering him, but I should have just put him back in his crib.

7:36Claudia Oshry:No, you should have just got in the position you were comfortable in.

7:39Jackie Oshry:Yeah, yeah, at first.

7:41Claudia Oshry:Yeah. Okay, next time. Now you know for next time because it really is so great. Yeah, but so is having an independent sleeper. No, especially if you could do it as a special treat. Not every night. That's the best of all worlds. But it's a gateway drug for both you and the baby. Yeah. Oh my God. I wonder how Ruby, I wonder what he would think of it. Like if he's like, I want more, I'm not going back.

8:02Jackie Oshry:Like one thing about Ruby is like, don't mess with his sleep, you know? Like he loves to sleep. He sleeps really well. And it's like, what am I doing? Like there are mothers who would kill for my situation.

8:13Claudia Oshry:Yeah. But you're allowed to have a little bit of cuddle cozy. We do contact naps all the time. Like the daytime naps. I've never done a nap. It doesn't have to be so binary is what I'm saying. I'm just saying co-sleeping is not a nap. You've become very binary. Guilty as charged. and how so please elaborate like it's not like all like all or nothing you know he could sometimes have a little bit of something and still sleep happily in his crib most of the time yes we do

8:39Jackie Oshry:a bunch of contact naps if he's ever struggling with a nap i think it's better to just do a contact nap than to let him struggle like i have a flexible job you know um but nighttime uh crib like my sleep is like just as important as rubies you know yeah and i sleep a lot mommy needs her sleep she really does a beauty rest hello beautiful woman here yeah in the line of work we're in in the line of work we are in sleep is paramount honestly no i agree that's why i feel like you could say that about any job like if you're gonna want to do your job you're just gonna need sleep

9:11Claudia Oshry:but ours obviously like more for ours more i feel like some jobs like you can do on autopilot a little bit you know what i mean like just like so true pushing paper around oh true but not this one that relies on our personality which benefits from sleep 1000 like you can tell when you're watching a show like claudia didn't get good sleep last night yeah usually because you tell us yeah

Read the full transcript

9:30Jackie Oshry:of course of course but also you could just sort of like feel it yeah in the atmosphere so you got good sleep last night i would say i did yeah and then my king ruby like literally slept till eight

9:39Claudia Oshry:and i had to wake him up what's that like yeah so just like mama tings now that i said it i'm sure we'll like enter some sort of sleep regression but it's okay yeah once you speak it yeah of course

9:50Jackie Oshry:jinx it yeah like we were in an elevator the other day and like this woman was like oh so cute are you getting any sleep and i was like tons like and then he literally did not sleep that night like you really just need to shut your mouth like if you have a baby who s-l-e-e-p-s i know you also

10:05Claudia Oshry:need to share your truth and let people know it's possible like i know even though i have not had this experience whatsoever in three tries um i love hearing about a positive sleeping experience

10:15Jackie Oshry:it's so true i feel like so much of motherhood especially when it comes to like online is like sharing the hard parts which of course of which there are many but not everyone's like situation like has to be horrible like i'm telling you like there are babies that exist that like that's late and like it's awesome it is so you should all have a million babies that's beautiful koji thanks um did you see that they came out with um autism barbie yeah i saw that she wears headphones

10:40Claudia Oshry:and her hands move okay as opposed to other barbies that hands don't move like no yeah you're At the wrist.

10:48Jackie Oshry:Oh. At the wrist, the hands move on the autism Barbie, whereas Barbie's arms are just bent at the elbows.

10:53Claudia Oshry:You're right.

10:54Jackie Oshry:And that's so that Barbie can, I don't know what it's called. Stim. Yeah, like where you flap your hands. And then, of course, in case she gets over-stimulated, she has her headphones. Got it. That's what's going on with Barbie.

11:07Claudia Oshry:I haven't been keeping up with Barbie dolls enough to know, like, how many, like, what's Barbie up to. Right. But if there's a million, like, then there should be Barbie for everyone.

11:16Jackie Oshry:I think there are like a million Barbies. Then Barbie for everyone. There's wheelchair Barbie. Of course, all different shapes, colors, and sizes. And I guess it's only a matter of time that they hit the spectrum.

11:27Claudia Oshry:Yeah, but then autism is a spectrum. So like to put Barbie in like a box of like just hands and headphones. It's quite binary. Yeah. I don't know that that represents everyone. But that's the game you get into when you start trying to represent everyone. Right, right. Endless. Representation. Beautiful. It's a beautiful thing.

11:47Jackie Oshry:now what's going on with you i can sense there's like a darkness within come on open up jacks i feel like i'm always opening i feel like i'm always oh well i guess you don't really ask me to open up oh okay so her lack of vulnerability is my fault okay um no there's no darkness within

12:03Claudia Oshry:i'm just kidding i was kidding oh okay great because i'm like i'm doing better than ever even though commuting is like not great for my schedule right now because like i have to miss of eating. I love driving to work. I'm listening to all the millennial hits. I read a statistic once that like once you turn, I don't know, it was three or 33 or 34, you stop discovering new music and you start listening to like all the things that you used to love. And I feel like that happened to me this week where like it's David Guetta all day, every day. Give me Pitbull. Give me Florida. I'm like the millennial mom in her car.

12:35Claudia Oshry:The club can't even handle me right now. watching you watching me i go all out it's just so funny like all i crave right now is dance hits like i go through seasons we should do dance class sometimes in my car it's like okay the vibes are country the vibes are like mellow the vibes are songs that make you cry like i just want to no we are bopping we are fist pumping that's funny actually yesterday and today when i was in

13:00Jackie Oshry:my vehicle i was listening to the hannah montana soundtrack and i was just thinking i'm like here I have my own car. I'm like driving to my thriving business and I'm listening to Hannah Montana. If the girl who first discovered Hannah Montana could see me now, like I'm living my dream life. No, I had a similar thought when I was driving today, listening to my jams. Driving will give you like crazy existential thoughts.

13:20Claudia Oshry:And I was just like, life's good. Yeah. Knock wood, knock wood. Oh God. Yeah, please. You know. By your tongue. And it's like sad to think I missed out on what, 15 years of driving where people were having these thoughts all the time, like windows down, favorite song, crank it up. Yeah. And like I could have been feeling something like that for 15 years. But I'm doing all my catching up now. Yeah. Do you ever think about like what would 12-year-old Jackie O think of – I forget how old you are.

13:46Jackie Oshry:30-something-year-old Jackie O.

13:47Claudia Oshry:Slay.

13:48Jackie Oshry:Slay. I think my girl would be like super proud and be like – like I'm an inspiration to myself.

13:53Claudia Oshry:Yeah. I think so. For sure I think so. Like a blast. She'd be obsessed.

13:58Jackie Oshry:Yeah. Like I think like little me would be like shook that I like ever got a boyfriend and got married. because like that when you're like a preteen that's like the pinnacle of success is having a boyfriend and not only have a boyfriend have a husband yeah and like a good one who like loves me like more than anything um and then also like i have a beautiful home like those things mattered to 12 year old like all the shallow things check yeah that's really beautiful i just feel like conversations like this precede like something horrible no i need to stop talking but i was just

14:24Claudia Oshry:like when i was driving i was just like looking around it was like i know it's cloudy for you That's a beautiful day for me. I've got my song on. I've got my coffee. And I'm just like, Parji. That's all. That's all I was saying.

14:34Jackie Oshry:Your sister's in town.

14:35Claudia Oshry:Yeah. Like, I get to work with family. Oh, that's beautiful. And I understand what you mean. Like, it's, you know, you don't, like, I don't even like. It's in Judaism. It's called a kanai nahara. Like, you want to, like, knock wood, but you're talking like, it's so superstitious. I meant it more to say, like, just the small, like, the small things, like, just enjoy the moment. You know? Yes. I feel like people spend so much, like, getting from one thing to the next, especially, like, in parenthood. parenthood like you never pick your head up to be like hey i like this beautiful i like what i'm doing right now so just take a moment to stop and smell the roses that's what i did this morning i wasn't counting the roses i was smelling them okay and you know what roses really smell like yeah i don't really understand that song roses smell like poo no they don't i guess it's like we were just trying to be positive you know who was us in our previous conversation like we were just trying to be like optimistic uh-huh you know but it just like felt wrong it didn't fit let's go

15:32Jackie Oshry:back it honestly felt wrong it's not us that's not why people tune in for positivity like just two girls weeping with joy no like we are gonna let me text me this morning it's so funny like who you text and you have a mean thought right like and olivia knows texting and i know she literally texts me can i say something mean like nothing to me was it about me she actually i haven't even received the meanness she literally did she no she said I have something mean to say and I represented please like um actually she did and we will share it to you later is it about me yeah Jackie is a fat ugly slob and I think we should stop being friends with her that's what Olivia said wait but why can't I just read it right now um I just don't feel like that's appropriate like oh you don't yeah oh that's weird then i run the risk of like the phone being flipped to the camera like come on okay and guys it's not like about anyone you know don't worry i'm kidding um okay so i guess now with that we have a lot to do today let's go back to being negative like amy weinhaus went back to black we're going back to phobisina okay yeah without further ado ado ado ado ado here are the fast five stories that you do need to know and the fast five stories that you need to know are brought to you by chewy pet parents listen up you definitely know about chewy if you're a pet parent when they say they have everything that you need to keep your pet happy and healthy, they're really not messing around.

20:59Claudia Oshry:A pleasure. Jert. A pleasure. Stories are random today, so in no particular order of importance. Let's get into them. First up, regarding our conversation last week, this week it's announced Harry Styles has landed his second Madison Square Garden residency. So Harry Styles is back to work. He's back in the office and he is doing another residency at Madison Square Garden. Page six has exclusively learned that the pop superstar has landed his second MSG residency and will return to the stage in 2026. This comes as news as rumors reach a fever pitch that he is preparing to return to the stage after a three year hiatus.

21:35Jackie Oshry:Oh my God. You know what? this would be like a good time just to triple check that harry style still follows me on instagram i've just sort of been like waiting for him to unfollow me especially as like my content recently like probably doesn't serve him change like motherhood and right um all of that i'll

21:50Claudia Oshry:be so upset nope we still got it he follows taylor swift i feel like he's not really on instagram don't be a bitch oh sorry i was saying that to taylor swift not to you he sure he pops in to see what just to check it on me and ruby like obviously obviously but you know what i mean Like I feel like his public account is like just a thing that he has. And then he probably has his own fun one on the side where he follows me to where he also follows you. He can't get enough. OK, sorry not to make this story about me, but I know that was honestly record time.

22:21Jackie Oshry:Yeah, I agree. Like a hard pivot. Listen, one thing I know about this show is like people really come to us and they know what to expect. And if I ever did be deviated from being my true self, like that would really upset people.

22:34Claudia Oshry:You're of authenticity.

22:36Jackie Oshry:yeah I just wanted to know if Harry Styles of all me like I don't know how people don't make things about themselves like who gives a fuck that he's doing a residency what about me and my Instagram you know 100 % okay I'm gonna be great but back to the residency you know I don't want to be like looking too deep into this but financial trouble no no no lover's paradise like I feel like a residency especially outside of Vegas is something you do when you like want to perform obviously you want to make money but you don't want to travel because you're like happy in your life touring life is not does not lend itself to like good relationships stability and i feel like yeah it's time for him to get back out there he's got it but i don't know if he wants to get back on especially he's like was on that one direction thing he knows how toxic like album tour album tour album tour can be and i think he's really happy with zoe i think there were a couple of places he could have like parked it and done a residency but new york is obviously a big market for him i think she has a place there i'm telling you not to make everything about zoe but i feel

23:27Claudia Oshry:she's all over this oh i just feel like he's doing it he's running it all back like he did this last time. I can't imagine. He's doing 15 shows. Say that takes place over the course of two months. Like last time it was over a couple weeks and then he'll be on the road. I think he's going to do tour album, tour album. And I think he's just kicking himself that he met Zoe so late into his hiatus because now he has to go back to work and put food on the table. Whereas if he met her three years ago, he would have had three years of bliss. However, idleness is the devil's work. Maybe it's better. You know, everything's about balance, right?

23:55Claudia Oshry:You can't just be like a couch potato, but you also can't be in a different city every night.

24:00Jackie Oshry:Let's just run it back real quick. Idleness is the devil's work. Love that. However, disagree. I feel like idleness is an angel's work. I love being idle. Idle is life. And I just, maybe for some people, but I remember I said this a couple of weeks ago, because we took so many weeks off during winter break. And I've always felt like I could never not work, not work. And you know, idleness is the devil's workshop. Wrong. Idleness is heaven's workshop. Idleness is,

24:28Claudia Oshry:you know the warm bosom of hashem couple things couple things so i think generally speaking idleness is the devil's work i think there are a couple exceptions to the role of people who are like truly happy inside and out and wouldn't in their idol and won't be captured by the devil whether they're idle or not oh yeah the devil can't catch me the devil can't find you i also think when you're not working you know what you are girl with no job a stay-at-home mom that's So it's like you're not idol. You weren't idol this holiday season. You were a psalm. Yeah, I was a psalm. And I think what you're saying is like you're cut out to be a psalm.

25:05I wouldn't mind being a psalm. I really wouldn't. So I do still think that. Idol misses the devil's workshop. Idol misses the devil's work, especially if you're someone like him. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Have you ever seen Harry Styles perform?

25:22Claudia Oshry:I don't think so.

25:24Jackie Oshry:I think saw him once before he was enormous. because it was Radio City, so it wasn't huge. And I will say, he did amazing. It was such an unpleasant experience because it was fresh off the heels of One Direction, and it was crazy people in the audience. I definitely still have damage to my hearing from that experience. It was just crazy people screaming. I'm like, you know if you shut the fuck up, you'd be able to hear him sing. Don't you want that? I was actually beefing with people. You were bullying them. It was insane. Well, I think they've probably grown up by now. And I think an arena is much more of an appropriate venue.

25:55Jackie Oshry:and I've never thought about like the volume at concerts. I'm just not like that. But this one particular concert, Margot was there. Like it was just genuinely unpleasant. I'm sorry that you had to experience that. Well, that's what you get when you like find people like early. Do you know what I mean? Like a lot of people only saw Harry Styles live at Radio City. I mean, excuse me, at Madison Square Garden because like then he was huge and bandwagon on Original Thinkers. Me, I'm like a creative type and I'm a free thinker and I'm usually ahead of the curve on these things. So I saw him at Radio City, like a small, very more intimate venue for real fans.

26:25For real fans of One Direction, the biggest fan in the world. Yeah, he literally had released like one song to sign of the times. You know, it was like super early. But you know, you saw something.

26:34Claudia Oshry:I saw a headline today that was like Louis Tomlinson said that he knew that Harry would be the one to have like a successful solo career from One Direction. Like, duh. We were all there. We all knew. Headline, Louis Tomlinson has eyes and ears. Yeah, it's kind of like Camila Cabello.

26:51Jackie Oshry:Like even if you watch X Factor, it was like literally awkward how like bad everyone was compared to Camila, but also just like bad.

26:59Claudia Oshry:I really appreciate things that you can count on the show. Claudia will never miss an opportunity to slam Fifth Harmony. The four out of five members of Fifth Harmony and tell them that they're terrible. They're sloppy. They're a mess. That is so funny. I did not think that's what you were going to say. I will tell you what I thought. But just to rebut, I really feel like I don't talk about them that much. Am I crazy? well there's not that many opportunities to because they're a slob loser nobody but you will never miss an opportunity to well as a commentator on culture first of all i have to say

27:34Jackie Oshry:um those of us like in the know it's like it's like funny okay no i'm i'm cackling and second of all what i thought you were gonna say like i'll never miss an opportunity and this is true to like psychoanalyze to the death those like three years that x factor was on in the u.s because I was the number one fan. I could literally tell you like every statistic about it. And yes, that does include Fifth Harmony because what's so funny is I'm kind of like, you know, they say like the life cycle of a troll is like you start out as a fan. Nobody was a bigger fan of Fifth Harmony, the band formerly known as Lilas, than me.

28:06Jackie Oshry:I watch them from their inception, of course, on X Factor. Then a lot of people fell off. No, they went through this weird era before they like released any original music where they would exclusively do covers on YouTube. And they had like insane fans like myself I used to wait up in my dorm room being like what are they gonna do what are they gonna do and then each girl would like pick a song come and like pick lego house and like I just it was if you were there for like the youtube I thought that's what you were gonna say because I'm obsessed with that but I guess yeah I have turned into a hater that's the life cycle of a troll like I think everybody who like hates us right now once loved us in like a borderline unhealthy way which is how you make the like the cross over to hater but I don't think that you

28:41Claudia Oshry:became a Fifth Harmony troll because like you have such troll in you like I think that they they change not you obviously is all agreed even though like we never change like we're not the same as Fifth Harmony you lost me but I agree yeah are you ready for our next story our favorite girly Brooks Nader is sharing a candid look at her lips after getting her filler dissolved she said she's feeling like her old self so Brooksy got her lip filler dissolved she's showing pics saying had the last of the filler dissolved right before Cabo and feeling like my old self. Now she's posting pictures of her with her smaller lips.

29:18So obviously not to make everything about myself. I've just sort of been like waiting for this to be a story because, fun fact about me,

29:24Jackie Oshry:I'm on Brooke Snader's close friend story and she did tell us this like a week or two ago. And of course I would never break the sacred bound of close friendship. But this is something I've been wanting to talk about. So just kind of like when somebody gets engaged and like, or is pregnant and like you leave a comment being like, finally we can tell everyone. Like that's me. I'm thrilled. I'm thrilled. I feel like that was one of my major takeaways from the show is that like these are girls who like fully understand the industry and the beauty standard. They just like do what they have to do. And I do feel like she took it really just one step too far.

29:54And normalize like undoing it. Yeah. It's nice that you can undo it. Yeah. Some things you can't undo. And there's like a pipeline of girls who get filler and end up looking so much better.

30:04Jackie Oshry:And then they cross the line. And it's kind of like the Brielle Bierman. And Kylie, when you get that little bit of filler dissolved, like it's a whole new world. And then she did say like maybe she would go brunette because she was like sharing all the DMs. And people were like, oh, obsessed. You look so good. You look so good. Like next thing is you have to dye your hair back brown. That's also another pipeline. Like a girl who go blonde, they have so much fun. They're like so pretty. Then they forget how pretty they were with their brown hair. And I do feel like that's next for Brooks.

30:27Claudia Oshry:I'm really curious to see her with her brown hair again because to me she like her. She is the face of a brunette. And so I feel like being blonde, it's like a moment in time. But it's not who she is. Not that I know her that well. and so I'm like ready for her to be a brunette but I think she's finding that blondes have more fun I just think Brooks has more fun not blondes you know you so you don't think blondes have more fun I guess if you're the type of if you're in the era of your life where you're like you're seeking male attention um yeah men just like go to blondes because they're like dumb and a bright shiny you know like oh men are dumb yeah I thought you were calling blondes dumb and I was like wow oh no no that's like not even funny no men are dumb so like I think they just automatically if

31:07Jackie Oshry:there's two women with the same body, same face. One of them has brown hair. One of them has blonde hair. Men are just like going to be attracted to the shiny thing and they're going to go blonde. So if you're like looking for a man or like she's, you know, always spotted out on dates. I do think it's sort of like an attractor. Interesting. The blonde. That's what I think.

31:24Claudia Oshry:I think it's fun. I think. And also when you're so like pretty and you can really pull off anything. But I'm ready. You know, I wore a blonde wig once. Did you find that men were flocking to you? no I didn't find that

31:41Jackie Oshry:it was like kind of a janky wig for your birthday yeah it was like maybe my 24th birthday we had a hoedown and I wore like this cute outfit and I was like what if I just wore a blonde wig and let me tell you I looked so cute like blonde I understand it's a stereotype for a reason it's fun it's flirty it's fresh

31:59Claudia Oshry:let's do it I've never worn one a blonde wig I've never worn a wig like a true wig like an install no I've only worn like a Halloween Toastoween doesn't count Prince Harry correct which was your look by the way 1000 % I think we can all agree so excited to see this evolution of Brooksy me too like maybe a more pared down naturality obsessed and she's also been saying like love thy nater's coming like she's been teasing it but like it needs to be here now

32:25Jackie Oshry:I know and I'm confused because at the end of season 1 they were teasing season 2 like they already had footage we're talking about the Bezos wedding yeah so where's that? It just hasn't come out yet, but it's like it's getting long now. Yeah. The thing that was exciting was that the Brazos wedding had just happened.

32:42Claudia Oshry:Yeah.

32:43Jackie Oshry:Now it feels old. Yeah. Get it out.

32:47Claudia Oshry:Foolish. Are you ready for our third story? Some sad news. Colleen Hoover reveals her cancer diagnosis as she concludes radiation. So Colleen Hoover shared a health update with her readers. On Monday, she announced via her Instagram stories that she has one more day of radiation left at Texas Oncology. She said, second to last day of radiation. I wish I could blame my hair and facial expressions on Texas Oncology, but they've been great. Hope you never need them, but highly recommend them. So on her Facebook page, she shared that she had been diagnosed with cancer. In the post, she did not reveal her exact diagnosis, but shared that she had it surgically removed.

33:23Claudia Oshry:She noted that she would need radiation, but no chemotherapy.

33:28Jackie Oshry:Well that's terrible Especially when you think about like the journey She's been on in the last couple of years Like highs, lows It's really sad Yeah Hopefully people like lay off her now She gets like so much internet hate It's insane Why? First because she caught herself Got herself caught up in like this Okay I guess And like in the most toxic feud of the year With like crazy people on both sides And she did take Blake's side at first And like she just got dragged in it And then I think she's like Interpersonal drama like with her family. I don't know. I'm not like mentally ill, like, and I don't like care.

34:00Go in the weeds on Colleen Hoover's family. Right. Right. And like find like the files on her kids. Like, I don't know. No, no, no, I don't. I don't. Cause you know, I don't miss is the devil's workshop. Is it devil's work or devil's workshop?

34:12Claudia Oshry:I think there are a lot of iterations of the quote. I don't, this is devil's play, you know? Oh no. Workshop is best. Workshop. Okay. So sending love and light and healing and prayers to Colleen Hoover. Yeah. It's actually insane.

34:24Jackie Oshry:like the arc of her celebrity.

34:26Claudia Oshry:It is. She also said like this was happening while they were doing like reminders of him. They tried to like push it back, but that movie's coming out soon, right? Yes. Did it come out already?

34:34Jackie Oshry:No, it's Alison Williams. I believe I read that one. They all just sort of like blended together into a...

34:43Claudia Oshry:One big...

34:44Jackie Oshry:One big smutty book. Encyclopedia. Yeah. I just like don't remember like which one that was. I think it was like the girl in the car crash, right? Yeah.

34:52Claudia Oshry:I did not read that one.

34:54Jackie Oshry:it's interesting the ones that have made it to screen like obviously it ends with us was always gonna like that was her number one verity we're waiting on oh yeah but it already is happening what about ugly love like that one was good november 9 love that book i didn't like november 9 oh my god i loved it when i was like i have hoovered too close to the sun hoover dam hoover dam oh no i loved that book i feel like i hoovered too close to the sun with reminders of him i said you know maybe I should pick up a history book did you ever read Layla with the ghost yeah no it was a redheads book I like that Colleen tried something new you know yeah it wasn't the worst ghost book were the ghosts having sex probably I can't remember for sure you blocked it

35:41Claudia Oshry:out yeah yeah it was if you like ghosty like spooky it wasn't spooky but like if you like that sort of element supernatural i and smut and hoover damn i would recommend it okay not i'm not talking to you yeah of course you dear reader dear reader bed when you can snap when you have to

36:03Jackie Oshry:i feel good like you know that song's having a renaissance because the bridge on um tiktok like that audio is going viral and i bridge oh i'm so glad you asked so i wander through these nights i I prefer hiding in plain sight. My fourth drink in my hand. These desperate prayers of a cursed man spilling out to you for free. But darling, darling, please. You wouldn't take my word for it if you knew who was talking. If you knew where I was walking. To a house, not a home, all alone because nobody's there. Where I pasted my pen because my friends found friends who care. My favorite line, ready? No one sees when you lose, when you play in solitaire.

36:45And obviously, everyone's making TikToks to it in the song. What kind of TikToks do they make to that sort of song? Where they're just lip syncing

36:50Jackie Oshry:the viral. Let's make one after, okay? For my TikTok, of course. Should we do one right now, a live TikTok?

36:55Claudia Oshry:No, it sounds like a lot to memorize. Oh, you don't know that? It's not like a trend of... No. Like... No, we're just singing it. And just back to my further point,

37:04Jackie Oshry:just to quickly circle back to myself. I feel really good in knowing that has always been my favorite song off of Midnight's. And now everyone's like, underrated. I feel like Peace is getting that treatment too. People being like, you know, growing up is realizing peace is like, bitch, growing up, some of us have been grown. Okay. Yeah.

37:21Claudia Oshry:Are you ready for our next story?

37:24Jackie Oshry:Refu Ashlema, dear Colleen. Yes.

37:26Claudia Oshry:Our fourth story, Rihanna, make cracking jokes being a relatable postpartum mama. She commented on an Instagram. Have you seen this trend of people who are like deciding to get hot and sexy or get pregnant in 2026? I am not seeing the trend I'm living in Okay Yeah and she commented She said wait so I'm not crazy then Oh my god Rihanna She's just one of the girls How old is her kid now Like the youngest In September she had her third So if she's already thinking fourth I actually feel put on notice If she's thinking fourth because we've been pregnant the same times For all three of ours So it's like if she's talking four Like girl slow down shit I'm not ready I mean I am ready this body is not you know what I mean fuck but are you deciding whether to get hot and sexy in 26 well that's what I'm doing me and my GLP what you're doing both what do you mean like you want to do both I guess you could do both well for me I have to do one in order to do the other yeah like I need to lose weight before getting pregnant yeah but then it's like then you're hot and sexy I know and I could just be I know I'm gonna get like Sandy and be like a couple more months please let me just live Ruby's not ready yeah no no no neither is his mama and you're wearing your mama's shirt today which is really apt for all this mama chatter one thing about our merch it's like it may take an eternity to come but when it does

38:52Jackie Oshry:your life will never be better like this shirt I could cry talking about this shirt like this shirt has carried me through some of the most challenging times in my life and you could dress it up you know you wear it out to dinner you can dress it down where the place are over no literally like or take it off and go to the gym like i'm telling you this this these shirts i like that we have a couple if you're not a mama like of course we have un mama ones we have mama ones there will be bs and as before shirt and

39:25Claudia Oshry:after shirt and also like it's it's great for all all seasons but even like when it's not just a hiding shirt because it's also like super cute when you're feeling yourself i have looked so cute in this shirt, fat and skinny. Like that's, it's literally shallow house. It's sisterhood of the traveling shirt because it's also one size. You don't have to buy a size. And I thought at one point I was like, I had outsized the one size and that's the thing about the size. It's for all. It is for all. Yeah. And even though the merch takes an eternity to come, we never said that it did. Like we always let you know, like two to three weeks for shipping.

39:56Jackie Oshry:I mean, if you want some piece of shit drop chip from China, like go for it. One thing about us, we're quality artisans. Right. And... the merch may take an eternity to come the merch may take an eternity to come but at least it comes but it's top quality fabric and like the merch may take an eternity to come but you know what else does like all merch like i one time ordered an ariana grande sweatshirt and like literally two years later it came yeah and you know what i was just happy to get it yeah taylor swift oh yeah months all merch just like our fellow artists all merch worth having correct are you ready for our for the final story it's actually some health news and our merch may take an eternity it's

40:41Claudia Oshry:actually some health news there's a potential scary link between nose picking and alzheimer's

40:47Jackie Oshry:shit because let me tell you obviously i don't want to get any diseases like any any god like god willing i should you know at the age of 100 die peacefully in my sleep with bed at the same time. But of all the ways to like wither away, I do feel like the one I would least likely like to have is Alzheimer's. Like I feel like it's the hardest for my family. Like I think I would prefer many other illnesses over Alzheimer's, but unfortunately I'm addicted to picking my nose. So tell me about it.

41:17Claudia Oshry:So some 90 % of the population picks their nose, sometimes several times a day. This may seem like a harmless habit, but frequently digging for gold may have dire consequences. Dirty fingers can introduce bacteria into the nose, causing infections that lead to crusting, tissue damage, and nosebleeds. Researchers are investigating the theory that trauma to the nasal lining can transmit germs to the brain, potentially triggering inflammation and the formation of amyloid plaques. These are hallmarks of Alzheimer's disease, a progressive neurodegenerative condition affecting over 7 million Americans.

41:52Okay, it sounds like I could stop picking my nose, obviously. Or you could wash your hands. I could become like a big sanitizer person. Yeah. The spray, you know?

42:03Claudia Oshry:Yes, but then you're putting chemicals in your nose. At least it's not dirt. Agreed, but that could be a different issue. Maybe just wash your hands. Yeah. No, I mean, I do, but I could be like way more vigilant about it. Or maybe they should have like a sleeve you can put on your finger.

42:17Jackie Oshry:Yeah, or a tissue. Like if you're going to that trouble, just get a tissue, you know, you know, I just had a scratch. I didn't pick my nose. You know, I actually saw a reel, obviously. So it's true about, you know, people who live like within a mile or so of a golf course are like over 100 percent more likely to have Parkinson's in their lifetime because of all the pesticides they use to keep a golf course, like maintained and stuff. Those chemicals are in the water. so if you live in your golf course don't be drinking that tap i saw that as well and then

42:51Claudia Oshry:i saw someone else debunk it oh okay never mind drink the water you're fine about how they like don't use that those sorts of things anymore and if you're i don't know golf courses like

42:59Jackie Oshry:are pristine if you ever maintained your own lawn you know it's kind of hard to keep your grass

43:02Claudia Oshry:green all year long yeah but um there's just i also saw both but i i agree you know now i don't know what the fuck to do right it's like you know this water is supposed to be better because it's in a glass bottle. Then I saw a real, like, don't drink. Glass? No, like the brand. Oh, what's wrong with Mountain Valley? Actually, I haven't read anything about Mountain Valley except it tastes like ass. Saratoga. I love Saratoga. And then I saw a real that was like, Saratoga's springs are polluted. I wonder why my girl Poland hasn't gotten into the glass game. We need Poland in the glass game, but Poland does not sell in Florida.

43:39Claudia Oshry:What? And it's really, that's probably been the hardest part of moving. I guess you're right. Right after, you know, being away from my friends and family. Of course. What's the blue wrapper? Zephyr Hill. No, no. Pure Life. Pure Life. Pure Life is tasty. Yeah, yeah. Zephyr Hills is disgusting. I'm shocked that they are still in business. And maybe people, you like it? I can't believe that water brands are regional. I'm just learning this.

44:04Jackie Oshry:Yeah. Okay, so do you guys have Deer Park here? Right. What about Evian? Do you have that here? I think so. Oh, you do? Yeah. What other brands are there? Well, then there's more national brands. You know, Aquapon. That's international. Aquapon? Yeah, of course. No, what about Aquafina? Oh. You have that here, yeah. I wouldn't. Dasani? I would never. Dasani? Yeah. No, but you have it here? Interesting. But I would never go for it. I don't even notice if we have it here. So it sounds like the regional brands, like, kind of slight, except Zephyr Hills. Poland Spring, to me, is the pinnacle of good water.

44:35I really wish they would get into the glass game. I agree. It's the pinnacle of good water.

44:40Claudia Oshry:Zephyr Hills has a monopoly on the state of Florida. I don't know what they have on the Senate. It's definitely like a mob family. One thousand percent. And the water is so yucky. But other people in the studio who happen to live in Florida longer than you. They grew up in Florida and they never knew Poland Spring. Right. They don't know better. But as a transplant, I'm telling you, like, I love this state. There's so many great parts about living here. You guys don't even know good water. That's insane. Yeah. So it's been a struggle.

45:06Jackie Oshry:Yeah, of course.

45:07Claudia Oshry:And that's me opening up about what's going on with me.

45:10Jackie Oshry:your vulnerability and the depths at which you are willing to reach in for this show it doesn't go unnoticed and your merch may take an eternity to come period anyways clean your

45:25Claudia Oshry:fingers before you pick your nose that's just a good thing to do even if this theory is not true you know because this is just their working theory right now i just wish there was like an

45:33Jackie Oshry:easier way to wash your hands you know what i mean like sometimes i'm not in the mood to get wet and then a lot of times like there's not the proper drying mechanism and sometimes there is if you're in a bathroom that's like public there is the proper drying mechanism but then like by the time you leave the bathroom you're dirty again it's just like so crazy also when are we gonna call it

45:50Claudia Oshry:on those air hand dryers when are we gonna acknowledge and just admit that they're a failure it's not good they're disgusting they don't dry your hands so you're leaving with a wet dirty hand and then wet hands are like you contract more via wetness than dryness so when can we just call it on those i'm fully in as a failed experiment and i i don't even know who's to blame and i'm not going to look for who's i don't want to blame anyone well i do want to say one thing you can go live in privacy like we won't dox you or anything so can we call it i do feel like not all air dryers are created equally dyson did enter the game with the ones that you slide your hands in that one's better disgusting better but not sanitary um kimber clark that's who we blame you know that brand right i feel like kimber clark built what was asked of them and nobody was the toilet paper was all the industrial kimber clark or air in every bathroom you could have done paper towels everyone had a choice yeah and everyone made the wrong choice and i think as a society like we need to just and on this Tuesday we're speaking on it we're choosing paper towels so don't be afraid to take them out of the public restrooms and bring them back like

47:07Jackie Oshry:we've actually made it increasingly more difficult for people to wash their hands like no wonder there was a global pandemic you know I'm surprised it didn't happen sooner yucky well that concludes the fast five but this does not conclude our show because we have dear toasters which is brought to by Thrive Market. And thankfully, I've been seated with the CEO of Thrive Market, their number one customer. It's Miss Follet. I actually have a box arriving today. Tell me why you love ordering all your household essentials from Thrive Market.

47:32Claudia Oshry:I love ordering everything from Thrive Market because everything is made with clean ingredients. It has a Thrive Market stamp of approval. So it's approved for like crunchy mamas like myself who want to give their kids like tasty, fun snacks made with better ingredients, not having red dye number five or red 40 or all those things that are yucky. Also for me, I'm in an era right now where all I want to do is eat sweets and snacks and I'm going to do that but I want to do like the healthiest possible version so I am having unreal chocolates right better than chocolates like filled with processed and sugar that's going to make me feel crazy and bounce off the wall so if you get it on Thrive Market it's going to be the best for you and also it arrives at your door you don't have to go to the grocery store you don't have to lug heavy bags of flour because like you're making bread

48:13Jackie Oshry:for everyone all the time right so Thrive's app makes it easy to shop for your family's needs without endless label reading. They have over 90 filters. You can shop for high protein, low sugar, gluten-free, plant-based. And their ingredients are clean, which obviously is less stressful. So Thrive Market is free from 600 sketchy ingredients, making it trustworthy for parents. There's no guessing, no Googling, no aisle squinting, just blind trust. Join Thrive Market with our link, thrivemarket.com slash the toast. And that link will get you 30 % off your first order plus a free$60 gift. That's thrivemarket.com slash the toast.

48:45Jackie Oshry:Today's episode is also brought to you by Momentous. January is when we recommit to the habits that support our health and well-being. And naturally, we start looking for what we can do to support those goals, including supplements. Choosing the right ones can definitely be confusing because not only are there so many brands out there, but the supplement industry itself is a very low-trust category. It's very lightly regulated, products are easy to make, and companies don't always have everything on their label of what's actually in there. So that's why we partnered with Momentus, and that's really what makes them stand out.

49:16Jackie Oshry:They've become a very high-trust brand in a low-trust category. They were not satisfied with the industry standard, so they built the Memento standard, which is a commitment to do things the right way. Memento's source is only the highest quality ingredients on the planet. That's why their protein comes from grass-fed European dairy cows. Their creatine uses the purest form of creatine monohydrate. And every formula is made with clinically blacked, highly bioavailable nutrients with no fillers and no artificial sweeteners. But what really sets them apart from other brands is their testing and transparency.

49:40Jackie Oshry:Every product is independently certified by NSF for sport or informed sport, meaning it's tested for contaminants, heavy metals, banned substances, and verified for label accuracy. So you know exactly what you're putting in your body. Plus, if a product doesn't meet their standard, it does not hit the shelves. So in a space where trust is rare, Momentus is redefining what that looks like. Right now, Momentus is also offering our listeners up to 35 % off your first order with promo code TOAST. Head to livemomentus.com. Our promo code is TOAST for up to 35 % off your first order. Livemomentus.com, promo code T-O-A-S-T.

50:11Jackie Oshry:All right, let's dive into Dear Toasters, our weekly advice segment where Jackie and I just try to help out people in need. 50:35Jackie Oshry:Are you ready? Hello, Jackie and Clurd. This is not necessarily a dilemma, but a good conversation topic, too. Is it rude to invite someone to something and use a gift card only for yourself? I think so. I invited my friend for a pedicure and had a gift card to this salon, but I decided to save it for another time and went solo. I'm interested to hear your thoughts. Loving a Twinkly Toad toaster.

50:57Claudia Oshry:Wait, no. I think it depends what the activity is. It does, but when she just said, like, we're paying separately, I don't care how you pay. I guess if you went to a restaurant and you invite a girlfriend to lunch and you have a gift card to, like, pay for your half, you should like use the gift card to pay for the meal. Well, you know, you and I actually just went out to lunch and I had a gift card and I used it. Did you know that? When we went, oh, I didn't know they used it. Oh yeah, I think I knew you used it. Yeah, I used it on both of us. But we're not, we're sisters before being friends.

51:25Jackie Oshry:Oh, that's beautiful.

51:26Claudia Oshry:And I feel so I'm very generous with you all the time. I just wanted to bring, once again, making it about myself. I was actually happy for you that you had an opportunity to save money. To be generous towards me. Wow. Wow. Okay. I wasn't going to stop you. Good to know that the gift card went unnoticed. No, it didn't go unnoticed. Well, ungrateful. The thing is, like, whether it was a gift card or your money. Yeah.

51:48Jackie Oshry:The thing is, I don't feel like we can make a general rule here. It's so activity dependent. Like, a meal, it would be nice to just treat. Something you would ordinarily be paying separately for. Yes.

51:59Claudia Oshry:A manicure. That's what it is. If you would have been paying separately, which a manicure, of course, you would have a service, anything. Pay for yourself however you feel like paying for yourself. but if it's something that you're doing together and maybe you would have even treated I think it's also dependent on the relationship like is this the type of person whenever you go you split it even like my best friend Margo we have lunch together like multiple times a week and like

52:20Jackie Oshry:sometimes she pays and sometimes I pay it always nets out so if I had a gift card I would just use it for both of us you know yeah but if I'm having lunch with a friend who like I we always just split it down the middle we'll both put our cards in maybe I wouldn't be but did you choose the restaurant because you have a gift card like oh true well also what type of gift card are we talking about is this like an Amex gift card where you can use it anywhere or a gift card to this specific place I think a gift card to this me too because an Amex gift card that's like putting down

52:44Claudia Oshry:your credit card agreed I think it just depends on the activity and the level of friendship and what's expected and there's no like completely wrong way where it's like oh that is so offensive but maybe it would be a nice opportunity for you to treat a friend and and she'll get you back one

52:58Jackie Oshry:time and also how did you come about acquiring this gift card you know did you like win it in a raffle at work or was it a gift from your grandmother? I also feel the origin is important. I agree.

53:08Claudia Oshry:I agree in those two scenarios. Yeah. Like sometimes like a gift card just literally falls in your lap. Like your grandmother is not paying for a pedicure for her. For some whore. Yeah. But your work. But the workplace like white elephant.

53:21Jackie Oshry:Yeah. Share. Yeah. So it depends how you acquired it as well. Hey, Jackson Claude. I need mom advice. A few weeks ago, the mom of a child in my four year old's class reached out and asked for my number to send an invite for a party her son wanted to invite my son to. It's now weeks later and I haven't received anything. I feel like it would be embarrassing to say something, but I'm curious if and when this party is happening. I'm also really wanting to make some mom friends now that my son is little, is a little bit older, and this seemed like a good opportunity, but reaching out seems like a desperate loser thing to do.

53:50Jackie Oshry:Do I just wait it out? Thanks. Ooh. Ooh is right. Because I don't know. The thing is, what's the worst that happens? Like you were like wanting to connect and like she then she's a mean girl or like it was just maybe she wrote your number down wrong or you didn't get it or whatever and like this is also an opportunity for you but also your son and I think like when you have a kid like you can afford to

54:11Claudia Oshry:be like a little desperate I do yeah and it's like well maybe it's because you have other plans you want to make sure like that you have your plans lined up and I also think like this isn't

54:20Jackie Oshry:like adult parties where I feel like you would like use an invitation it's like she's cool she's not cool when when you have kids the same age I feel like it's very much anyone wants to come Is your kid cool? But anyone who wants to come celebrate your kid, like, is welcome. Yeah, I agree.

54:34Claudia Oshry:I'm feeling like it was an oversight. Especially because she was, like, friendly enough to get your number. Bring it up. And bring it up and, like, want to invite you. So, like, you didn't do anything in the last, in the time in between where you didn't see her. So maybe either the party's not happening or she forgot. I think you could follow up. Yeah, but, okay, now how? She doesn't have her number, right? Or maybe they exchange numbers. Mm-hmm.

54:55Jackie Oshry:I think I'd say hi can I do anything to help plan like you obviously are coming with your self-serving interests because you want you and your son to be invited but also you have to come providing something to being like can I help with the decorations I don't know whatever the fuck people say yeah no I really don't feel like you should like weenie out and then like miss out on what if all these moms connect and then like you miss the boat yeah and your son misses the boat too yeah I'm sure there's like a you could also be stealth and be like Jackson whatever your kid's name is talk to connor at school and ask him about the party and say that you want to come and then he'll tell his mom and she'll be like oh i forgot to text that wonderful mother i met at the scholastic book fair yeah moms have a lot on their mind yeah i don't think this is me now there are definitely like you know toxic mom groups of course not that you didn't do anything in the time between she

55:44Claudia Oshry:wanted to invite you and now so it's not like she flipped by the way as of like yesterday megan

55:49Jackie Oshry:trainer was like still making tiktoks about this mom group thing and i'm now fully convinced she's the mean one like girl let the mouse go no one's talking about it anymore i haven't seen anything

55:58Claudia Oshry:that she's made i'm sure i'll see it in five days on reels it's really lame stuff i can't i can't deny i don't think she's a mean one though no i don't i was just joking but like stop yeah you got away like relatively unscathed let it go i think maybe she wanted to be more involved right all press is good press look at hillary she launched a song correct all right our third

56:19Jackie Oshry:and final to your toasters. Hey, Swirlies. I need help on an extremely difficult decision. I'm an ordinary gal in my early 20s, and I somehow just got cast for a reality competition show that shoots in 2026. The problem is I'm supposed to start my first year of medical school at the end of the summer 2026, which happens to be the time that the show would be shooting. Of course, it's such an amazing and rare opportunity, but to do it, I would have to decline my admission to medical school that I was accepted to, and I would have to reapply to different schools in 2027 and just hope to get in again i want to live my life to the fullest but realistically doing the show would potentially hinder my entire future please help i unfortunately need to know the show yeah is it worth hindering your entire future there are so few shows that are worth even if you got cast in something huge like the bachelor i'm sorry like the odds of your season getting any sort of pickup and then you're the one from the season the odds are actually not in your favor and it also just depends what type of person you are i'm actually a person who you know oddly enough like really craves stability I'm not like a big risk taker I would say go to medical school all the

57:18Claudia Oshry:way yeah you know what it does sound like the bachelor because they shoot in the fall usually uh-huh um because I was summer yeah I was singing love island something like that yeah not that I think it's love island because she said it's end of summer but even something love like love island like maybe there's three breakout stars and you know what even there's literally one you know what I was watching Salt Lake City last night and the first or second episode of the season and Lisa barlow she missed the first cast trip in the first episode and she's having this lunch with heather and she's telling her all the things that the girl said about her and lisa like can't speak i don't know what what's happened with her but she can't speak without crying she seems so upset the girls are bringing up all these lawsuits about her business and she's just talking about like how this is so hard and so terrible and her friends are so terrible and i'm just like she's actually had an amazing career as a reality star so far and it's like she seems to be at a real low right now i don't even know what's going on i can just sense like she can't stop crying i'm like wasn't it all worth it right maybe not you know I know there's so many great things that come along with like being a reality star and a famous person but like there's so many negative things and then there's so many beautiful things they're just about an ordinary life yeah to me when it comes

58:22Jackie Oshry:to like being famous and and rich the best part is the money right and they always say like everybody wants to be rich and famous but give them the rich part and they'll never ask to be famous like it's so the stability of that can't be understated but I think being a doctor yeah is kind of checking that off the list. I'm going medical school.

58:39Claudia Oshry:No, and it's really about the fame because Lisa like had a thriving business. She hasn't even moved houses since the first season of the show. Like she's always done well, but now she has like this huge, like all of this and it's like, but it's clearly eating away at her.

58:52Jackie Oshry:Okay, but I also think I need to know a little bit more about this girl's personality because some people are really like destined to be famous and they're going to go on whatever show and they're going to be the breakout star. Like you just sort of know that about them. Are you that type of girl? Do a little bit of self-reflection. I'm going medical school Even thinking about the people who went on The Bachelor

59:09Claudia Oshry:And were the breakout star Without becoming the bachelor Themselves Okay if you can land that Maybe throw away medical school But even the people who get Hundreds of thousands of followers Five years later What?

59:26Jackie Oshry:I guess you could reapply in five years

59:28Claudia Oshry:But you won't want to And you won't Yeah I'm going medical school. I don't think you could regret choosing medical school. I do think you could regret choosing the reality show. Yeah. And so that's like the risk versus reward. Yeah. Yeah. Well, thank you to everybody who wrote in and for your vulnerability. And if it's anything that's like not The Bachelor, like these big shows, if it's like. Yeah. The only ones we would consider. I would actually, if it's The Bachelor, I would say hard no. Ones I might be open to talking about. Love Island. Oh, really? I was saying, no, Bachelor, there are so many reality shows that are not these three that we keep talking about.

1:00:07No, I'm sorry. The Bachelor, in reality, like, in the past five years, I literally have heard of one person, Joey Graziadzade and Kelsey, and I really know them more from Dancing with the Stars. But we're about to watch Taylor's season. It's about to have a renaissance. I actually, like, that's... Okay, you could say no Bachelor. I'm just saying Bachelor, to me, is the same as Love Island, like, a huge show. Even Love is Blind, I would say no. Like, it's such a flash in the pan. Love is Blind. We forgot about, literally the only one we know is Megan Sparkle.

1:00:31Jackie Oshry:You could give me a million dollars to guess these people's names.

1:00:36Claudia Oshry:However, the only thing I want to say about Love is Blind is like, maybe you could find your husband. Yes, but also medical school, hello. A lot of doctors end up marrying doctors. My point was, and add Love is Blind to this, there's literally maybe five to ten shows that I would say. Those are the biggest shows, and we can even consider having this conversation. There are hundreds. Oh, sorry, wait, Jackie. She said competition series. Okay. Bachelor's competition. Love Island's competition. Oh, really? Love is Vine is not competition. I wouldn't say those are competition. Now I'm feeling like.

1:01:06Bachelor's competition. Traders is a competition show. Like Fear Factor, you know? What if it was regular people traders?

1:01:13Claudia Oshry:Well, again, we're talking about the biggest shows. And the biggest shows are worth discussing. What about Temptation Island? Girl, run. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. Like if it's one of the other shows that we're not discussing. Yeah, if the show hasn't even come up, girl. run to medical school okay that's what i'm saying thank you i like that um well thanks to everybody

1:01:33Jackie Oshry:who wrote in kind of the theme of today was vulnerability i mean you opened up obviously about the dark stuff you've been dealing with which we appreciate everybody who wrote in was so vulnerable and open with us i mean i just feel i feel free i feel like actually i haven't been

1:01:46Claudia Oshry:vulnerable is there a truth that you want to share for cojourney's corner you think

1:01:55no i'm wearing a new bra this morning um one i bought from tiktok shop did i tell you that i'm like in the process of accruing like an amazing collection of bras via tiktok shop yes you showed

1:02:04Claudia Oshry:me your bosom i did you or you were showing someone else your bosom the other day and i caught a glimpse oh yeah um they also sell on amazon i know you're happy with them it's insane actually i don't know like tiktok shop is like the devil's work honestly like it's

1:02:22Jackie Oshry:so easy to get and i'm like not i'm a very smart consumer i'm very jaded like you can't get me with your ads i bought one and it was like a gateway um this bra is like a very high support one i'm gonna send you some links because i know like being a breastfeeding mom is hard to like

1:02:34Claudia Oshry:wear a bra i recently well not recently a year or two ago like i i changed my bras and i'm very happy but i'm always open to i feel like with nursing you just need one that's like cozy but

1:02:44Jackie Oshry:like that does you know keep your swirl eyes at attention yeah well send me if you like it so

1:02:49Claudia Oshry:What's the problem? Like, just because it's TikTok shop doesn't mean like. No. But you're saying it's the devil's. Like, it was bad that you got. What do you mean? No, no, no. You got a great bra.

1:02:56Jackie Oshry:I'm just saying, like, it's very easy to get caught up. Like, it ships so quickly. It's everything is so cheap. And I just think, like, I've been very good at discerning what's worth getting. Don't just buy stuff on TikTok. Like, this is not a personal endorsement of TikTok shop. That's what I'm saying. Okay.

1:03:10Claudia Oshry:But you found something good.

1:03:12Jackie Oshry:Amazing. I found, like, three incredible bras.

1:03:14Claudia Oshry:That's amazing. Incredible. I know. And all you need in this life is one good bra. and a sister. Oh, your nails look good. You got your manicure yesterday. I finally got a manicure, yes. A good one. It's interesting. A lot of salons down here don't mess with the dazzle. The dazzle-ay? And you know, I left my dazzle dry at your house. Oh, I BYOD always. Of course, I left it at your house. Got it. So it's not surprising that they don't have dazzle, but I thought you were saying they won't do your dazzle. No, no. If they don't have dazzle, they won't do dazzle. Oh, yeah, they do. I BYOD. But that means they don't know dazzle.

1:03:45I BYOD and I show them two coats of base. So we both do touch of love, right? Yeah. Yesterday I got strawberry macaron. Dazzle? Yeah, Dazzle and I ordered it on Amazon. Isn't it pretty? It's very pretty. It looks just like mine. Yeah, but what she was telling me and she's right. Touch of love has much more of a white base. You see, mine's like not as white.

1:04:03Claudia Oshry:Yeah, yours is like more like ballet slippers. I always bring my own. My salon recently got Dazzle, but for years I've been bringing my own. I say I bring my base. I say two coats of this, two coats Dazzle. Yeah, but even if you bring

1:04:16Jackie Oshry:your own dazzle which I do I bring my base my polish and my top there are other things involved in dazzle like that stuff that they put on I don't use that stuff well if the salon has dazzle they know and like I went to a girl yesterday she literally was the CEO of dazzle dry she was like

1:04:30Claudia Oshry:telling me everything I could bring that stuff I used to but then I actually thought it was drying out my nails and now I do it without and I personally I don't use that stuff you know what's so interesting I was like definitely a person who benefited from like hair and nails wise from being

1:04:43Jackie Oshry:pregnant that was like one of my favorite parts I had the craziest longest thick snails and that did sort of stay with me during breastfeeding I didn't experience um like my nails people saying like but now that I've stopped I feel like the breastfeeding was keeping my nails I have tiny

1:04:56Claudia Oshry:little nails now and they're so brittle interesting I literally went to pump hand soap the other day

1:05:00Jackie Oshry:and I broke a nail at your fucking house which hand soap okay I'm so glad you brought it up would it kill you and Zach to put a new bottle of fucking hand soap in that outdoor bathroom oh like literally it was on its list and i just and my thumb broke i'm sorry and yeah i couldn't

1:05:16Claudia Oshry:remember the last time someone would have changed that soap well and you suffered let my injury be the lesson have you experienced hair loss not yet you think it's like in my future no maybe not you do a lot of preventative things like you take all the things i do so i think you're good and I just feel like the Lord knows like that's the one thing

1:05:39Jackie Oshry:keeping me because people were like did you experience any sort of post my hair falling out like would be the thing and the Lord I do believe is protecting me honestly and that's on the Lord thank you guys so much for listening to the Toast on the Lunning Morning Show where you deliver the fast-sized stories you need to know every Monday through Friday on YouTube so you're watching us on YouTube please feel free to subscribe and give us a video thumbs up we're also available as a podcast anywhere podcasts can be found so that's Spotify iTunes, Stitcher, Public Radio I already have a cast box all the places where you listen to podcasts find us a Toast if I start a review about how beautiful, about how stunning, and about how wickedly talented we are.
