Key claims

  2. The hosts find Ashley (Ashley I. Canetti) on RH Rhode Island “out of place” and question her storyline’s relevance to the group.

Notable examples

  • A “truth” game question about virginity on RH Rhode Island.

0:03Good morning, girlies. It's the toast. It's Jackson Claude and we're your hosts. It's your favorite show. The fast five things you need to know. We'll start your day off swirly. It's the toast.

0:22Jackie Oshry:I sound amazing. welcome back to the toast and happy thursday it's the latter half of the week be grateful you know i am grateful we are also simpatico i don't know if you noticed yeah pink sweaters creamy pants creamy white pants with a light shoe to match yeah so except my my shoes are not made the old way and sold the new way i know yours are no these are not m jemmy oh these are a brand called Margo. Have you heard of it? No. Tell me more. It's very fine shoe. Okay. I have so much I want to talk to you about. We have a lot to discuss today. We do? Yeah. Because Kylie was on J. Shane and I stayed up literally.

1:11I thought it came out at noon p.m. I don't know why. I just like assume that. And then I was playing much. I was like, oh my gosh i missed it and then at night i'm like you know i'm gonna watch it on netflix i got in bed at like 9 45 i turned it on i it didn't come out yet it came out at 7 p.m pacific time 10 p.m eastern time so i sat there for 15 minutes didn't let myself get distracted you to have waited up and i was first click yeah first if i could comment i would have commented first yeah right right right

1:39Jackie Oshry:oh i didn't know that like it was that type of affair that we were like waiting up till 10 p.m to watch I haven't watched it I'm like I'm shocked that you stayed up yeah no I could stay up till 10 to watch something I've been looking forward to it all day and I know that if I didn't watch it like when it comes out that I and I started to see clips of it and everything I would have like felt like I already watched it and I wanted to have like the full experience oh I guess I guess that makes sense I watched the Real Housewives of Rhode Island last night which like people have been begging me to do and I'm so glad that I did like I had watched the first episode I thought it was good but it's like hard to get into like a whole new place all these new people they all look the same yeah like it's just it's so it's honestly so much work try being an influencer for a day try it but i ben was out last night so i watched like three more episodes it's getting like insane reviews like everyone's saying like sort of like slama where it's like this is the greatest reality tv like reality tv is back and so i understand why you watch it and i'll probably watch it too i do have i am catching some flights this weekend so i might try and watch it on my plane rides so i watched i think the first four episodes and i don't want to like give my i don't want people to spoil it for me in the comments because i feel like something really crazy happens um it's really good and the only thing is that like ashley i canetti is so out of place on this show not only like she's a part of like the younger there's like an older group and a younger group and she's part of the younger group but she has like no ties to this group no ties to rhode island she's like sharing her personal story and like well i'm sorry that you're having a hard time like I really don't say how it's relevant to the show like she's supposed to be bringing like the secret lives of Mormon wives energy like young mom talking about like balancing it all her husband like is trying to earn a living not because they need the money but just to like make himself feel good feel like a man and I don't know if the point of the show is to make me hate Jared Hybon but I do Jared like him and his you hate Jared H and Ashley I I don't hate Ashley I I feel bad for Ashley I it's like she's home alone all day with the kids and she's the one earning the living but like it just doesn't take as much time out of the day as his does and so it's like but so they're they're like fine for money yeah it's not about money it's about purpose which i understand yeah but like if your purpose is leaving your home your wife at home all day while your wife also pays the bills like yeah it's actually it's jarring like it's very startling um i hate him yikes yeah yeah i actually did not see that for myself and i just think that like their storyline and their contributions thus far again i'm only on the fourth episode i don't see how it's relevant all these people like they went to middle school together like at least just telling a story and he used to be married to my spanish teacher like it's so interconnected and that's what's actually really great like you know those people didn't like show up to film together like they've known each other and they don't care if they hurt each other's feelings like it doesn't my mother's friends with her sister like it's so connected and actually i just feels like a really random addition and they did this game where it's like you know you pick a question out of the box and the question of the box truth yeah the question is like you know uh everyone has skeletons you know you had an affair your your boyfriend has another girlfriend and ashley's was when did you lose your virginity which i guess like in the bachelor days like she was one of the virgins which was crazy at the time but like in reality tv like we don't care that you lost your virginity at 29 like that's not even crazy it's like it's not crazy but i'm saying like that was her thing the other ones was like pictures of your husband and his mistress that she's still like riding that that's her like really big central trauma I saw a clip of her I don't know if it's part of what you've already seen yet or not but it's not a spoiler and she's like breaks down crying because she's like talking about how everybody else has like these really like terrible traumatic things that have happened and like she doesn't have anything like that and like it makes her so scared for like whenever that does happen like like no I haven't seen that that's what I mean like her like seriously her contributions that feel so bizarre and random on the show and there is like this younger crew rosie and kelsey and they got crazy shit going on like rosie like is like was waiting for the call from andy cohen and she got it and she's not giving like she's she will not be kicked off the show like if there's a stone to turn she will turn it and then kelsey obviously she's the polygamist she's wildly interesting yeah so she's just like she's like not inherently interesting like her life is just like very normal yeah which is nice i feel like they were probably trying to court like the bachelor viewers by bringing in a name like that and it is interesting but it's to a point yeah but if it doesn't actually work on the show it doesn't work on the show so I need to get all caught up on that but my content plate like I'm feeling so overwhelmed last night like Ben was gone having dinner with his mom so I was like okay I can either read Strangers by Burden or start Rhode Island because that's everyone's been asking me to do so I did start that but I realized now my book plate is kind of growing because I realized I think maybe you were talking about this when you were like whose book did I say I wanted to read is it Hayden Panettiere?

6:29It's not but I do want to read it. I'm going to actually add it to my Goodreads before I forget.

6:33Jackie Oshry:She went on Jay Shetty and you know I forgot. There's so many eras of Hayden Panettiere she was talking about in Nashville. For me she will always be raising Helen. Bring it on. But she was also one of the global faces for like a decade of Neutrogena. And she was telling the story on Jay Shetty podcast that when she went on live with Kelly and Ryan or whatever it was back then. Kelly and Ryan. Regis and Kelly. It might have been Regis and Kelly. I forget. She was talking about, she's one of the most vocal celebrities who talks about postpartum depression because she had a really severe case of it.

7:04Jackie Oshry:And she had literally been with the brand for 10 years and they fired her because of that. And I heard they're getting dragged. As they motherfucking should. And you know what? Your wipes are trash too. Yeah. I use Rael now. I just want to say I use Rael every night and I bought new wipes and I haven't even opened them. Okay. It's kind of like the Ben Platt effect. like Neutrogena you're wrong for that but I do still love your wipes because I used one this morning no no no I just I happen to be like an Emre Al bomb just wait till I have to wash my face at the sink where I was going in the garbage yeah and like I'm sure the people who worked there then like don't work there now but like of course they need to give her a hundred million dollars to make it right then we're fine put it back on commercials give her ten million dollars and we'll call it even I feel like her book is probably like eight thousand pages like she has so many even if she was just like a successful child star that's an interesting book her postpartum depression journey very lots to discuss there it's probably an anthology yeah it hasn't come out yet i just added it to my good reads oh it hasn't come out so strangers bellburden lena dunham like i have a lot of books to read yeah yeah so like i said i don't think you're gonna be reading strangers bellburden i am it's gonna be my first one oh it's gonna be your first one yes and now it's like what if you don't even like it what's that to like i could see you not liking it it's short i can't hate a short book like thanks for being mindful of my time bill yeah um i think we should get into the stories because there's a lot to discuss today and we like need to get i just want to talk about kylie and jake shane like that's just top of mind for me my queen okay but like let's not rush i'm not done okay what else do you want to talk about let me think like what happened to me last night one of those foul dinners like it was so upsetting I waited so long for it and it was just disgusting oh I like ordered last night which I you know I never do and I always regret when I do and it was so good and then I was just like I was full but like from garbage oh yuck oh I'm actually doing something major today I'm taking I'm literally taking control of my life I'm doing something major today and taking control of my life as well what are you doing I'm finally going to the doctor for my thumb you guys know I haven't had good like mobility in my left thumb for about three years oh my god speaking of like random fake ailments oh my fucking god what does kylie have coccidinia kylie is talking about her pregnancy like ailments and she had really bad sciatica in her second pregnancy and she said her back has not been the same since she was pregnant with air she was talking about how she had lower back pain and sciatica i'm like my sciatica queen she she was actually we'll talk about it in the stories but she was talking a lot about her pregnancies which i was glad for because i do feel like when you go on a man's podcast you don't talk about women's issues like because why would you but for some reason they like stumbled down the rabbit hole of like how she fared in both of her pregnancies what she weighed at the top of each of her pregnancies women love to go on jake shane's podcast and talk about how much weight they gained and how much they weighed sofia richie also telling everyone what she weighed on jake shane's podcast i love that i do need kylie to go on like a women's podcast like to talk about all this stuff like maybe she md because there were so many follow-up questions that i was like and i'd like you know and i feel that way i i guess like people must feel that way when they listen to podcasts in general.

10:13I don't always listen, but whenever I do, that's my feeling. It's like, wait, what about that? That, but it's like someone else's conversation. They didn't want to go down that rabbit hole.

10:21Jackie Oshry:So all's that to say, I'm really looking forward to having mobility back in my thumb. Although based on my research via chat, GBT, the issue that I have like needs to be fixed with hand surgery. Well, let's see. Let's see. But wouldn't that be crazy? I've never had surgery ever. You're not getting it. Like if You have to have surgery. You're not going to get it. You're not. But I just never use my thumb. Yeah. You're doing fine. Look at you. I'm actually not. Look at you. You know, I dropped Levi once. I don't know if I've ever told Olivia that, but I dropped Levi when he was like little. I was trying to be helpful and like my thumb gave out.

10:55Jackie Oshry:I caught him. I just want to say I caught him like within an inch of the floor. But like that's when I knew my thumb was a really big problem. We were in the Hamptons. It was like two summers ago. Sorry, Olivia. But you've been fine with Ruby? you know sometimes you know the thumb gets in the way yes I've been fine technically but what I have to wait for something to happen I'm telling you not having mobility in my left thumb plus the coccididia I live a very difficult life well let's see what the doctor says I'm not gonna make a decision before it like you even get well because you know like before I got pregnant I was like you know what let me fix this before I become a mother like I'm gonna need my left thumb I went I got an x-ray and they were like there's nothing wrong with your hand I'm like are you sure and they were like, it's probably a nerve issue and nerves don't come up in x-rays.

11:37Jackie Oshry:So now I got to get this thing called an EMG and it's just such a fucking pain in the ass. I just need to get the, and I just know I'm going to go to the doctor today and they're going to be like, well, you have to come back for your EMG. Like schedule it. And it's like, why am I fucking here? Well, 1000%, that's what's going to happen today. So fucking annoying. I know. Well, speaking of mobility, I'm looking forward to a lack of mobility in my forehead because I'm getting Botox today. Are you going to the place that I went to? I did. for the first time in over two years i'm getting botox i can't friggin wait i can't wait to be like so confused by you by how i'm feeling yeah is she happy is she sad is she mad is the sun in her eyes we don't know oh i saw this like actually misogynistic reel about like moms getting botox being like we're teaching our children like we're not teaching them how to emote it's like girl fuck off seriously shut up like also personally even though i think like that's a horrible argument like please we know how to emote like you can emote on the inside i also like other parts of your face that can move because i only do my forehead so they'll be able to see for my crow's feet and all the other wrinkles mommy has going on yeah actually sorry the only thing i can't show is sadness and that's not the type of energy i'm bringing to motherhood anyways actually the energy that the Botox takes out for me is like RBF.

12:54And it's like, it's this constant RBF where I'm not even mad. Zach will be like, what's wrong? And I'm like, this is the best day ever. What are you talking about? Right, so sorry that like, we're just removing the Fabicina element from our lives. They're gonna see a happy mommy all the time.

13:07Jackie Oshry:Good, good. As they should. I'm excited for you. I'm so excited. So we both have big things on the horizon. Lots of mobility coming into question. yeah to mobilize or not to mobilize also known as mobilize realize mobilize that's so kylie that's so did jake ask her about that uh the year realizing stuff no surprisingly because he really went into the archives like no not that we did not go deep no no sorry i don't mean i mean deep into history we went back i love that yeah like all a lot of different eras the mall appearances he he didn't know that they were paid to be on keek but i also i mean kick k-i-k yeah they were calling it keek they were am i wrong maybe there's two one was the one the kardashians were paid to be on and the other was like an actual app that people were using oh okay it was i think it was probably k-i-k and then k-e-e-k well no i feel like the kardashians was like i forget what it was called but in this in the captions because i watched it with captions it was k-e-e-k but they had a lot of typos in their captions it's fine okay they talked about that he didn't know that the kardashians had been paid to be on that app which i felt like you know a lot of people did but he also was in high school when she dropped to our daughter how old is he i thought we were like around the same age no we were at the super bowl when we found out when she dropped to our daughter really i remember being like the back of a cab to the super bowl you know something weird I took an Uber to work this morning.

14:44Jackie Oshry:Yeah, that's right. I was lazy. And he was like, can you put your seatbelts on? And I was like, yeah, sure. But it's just like, it's weird because I would never get into a car, like a personal vehicle or like if Ben's driving my own car, I would never get it without a seatbelt. It doesn't even occur to me. I don't even think there are seatbelts in New York City cabs. But he was like, can you put your seatbelts on? I was like, oh, yeah, for sure. And I just felt like so constricted. I felt like I was being kidnapped. It was so weird. It is weird. And it's yuck, too. To put on a seatbelt? To touch it.

15:10oh I didn't think about that I feel I don't want to touch anything you really can't drive that fast

15:15Jackie Oshry:in the city so like I just feel like it's really not a hazard yeah oh they should always wear your seatbelt of course I just felt like it was so crazy I felt like I was getting in trouble he was like put your seatbelt on I was like oh yeah for sure but he's right oh I feel sick why I feel sick and I actually blame you okay because I feel like you've ushered me through this beautiful season of motherhood quite perfectly i have quite actually no notes for you but you did not tell me but thank you so much let's end the show that's really beautiful thank you so much for listening to the toast um but one thing you just sort of failed to mention like something i should be looking out for in a milestone that i missed was hebrew birthdays oh today's the 27th of er and i didn't know ruby's hebrew birthday is the 21st of er like i didn't celebrate a hebrew birthday It's so confusing because also so often, and last year too, the Hebrew birthdays were after the secular birthday.

16:11So yeah, no, that's not something that I'm up on.

16:16Jackie Oshry:Well, I feel sick and I blame you. Okay, I'll take that. And it makes me feel better. It wasn't like so close to remembering to remind you because that's more frustrating than like, oh, I didn't even know that that was happening. Than spacing, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Okay, that's true. So sorry for the thing I had no clue about. That's okay. But happy. Yom Huladet belated, Ruben. Yom Huladet Sameach. Now, without further ado, because we both have to make it to our mobility appointments. Yeah, we do. Even though months later, I'm good. Last of them, I'm on a scheme. 22:57Thank you, Tert Sexories.

22:58Jackie Oshry:You're welcome. Okay, now our first story. Kylie Jenner on therapists. She reveals that she was on bed rest during her second pregnancy with air. She said he was falling out. She said that she was like two to three centimeters dilated for the last - Sounds like circlage. It does sound like me. For the last two months of her pregnancy, so she really couldn't leave the house. She also shared that she had really bad sciatica, lower back pain and she gained 65 pounds in her pregnancy she said when she gave birth to stormy she weighed 200 pounds and when she gave birth to air she weighed 210 pounds i just like don't believe that no i believe it because i she's not a liar no i know but like visually visually it's the most inspiring thing i've ever heard i just love this i i love this yeah it was really exciting when they started to talk about this um i wouldn't expect that to be like conversation fodder yeah i was surprised that like he was interested in these things but then of course like when he heard like all the weight gain she was like oh my god what were you eating and it was like what were like of course like what were you eating whose business is that like like no no it's like like you don't even have to eat a lot to get to that ties like you're telling me like i know you just eat normal and all of a sudden you're 200 pounds you're literally um but she was also talking about keeping her first pregnancy very private and like why she did it which we know like she didn't want outside influences she wanted her privacy but she also and i also feel like at that time she had such a complicated relationship with her level of fame and she was 19 right i feel like now she's much more settled and like leans into it but it happened so quickly for her she was like this like a relevant sister and then she was the most famous and the richest one and so i feel like like she's sort of healed obviously growing up like heals a portion of that but i feel like she doesn't feel that way anymore about fame i actually think you know it all worked out whatever but she did express what seemed to be a little bit of regret for doing it that way really yeah um i think it was like very hard on her to be so private and to be so insulating about and isolated and she said when we posted the video she cried for three hours afterwards like just of the weight like being lifted off of her chest and like oh my god made her realize that maybe she didn't have to do it that way um oh that's really sad yeah it is really sad because I understand completely like why at the time it felt like the only way to do it she was also talking about how she didn't have security till she had stormy because she just wanted to like live a normal life like be out in the world on her own driving herself but like paparazzi used to follow her everywhere and like say the nastiest things to her and she's like so young like in her car and there's like six guys around her telling her she's a slut and it's like how do you pull out your car like it's just like scary yeah um so she was talking like a lot about that time she jake was like and i he was like can i ask this like were you like freaking out when you found out that you were pregnant like right because it was like a teen pregnancy yeah and she was like yes but i am i knew like instinctively that this was what i wanted to do and i was going to do this whether i had to do it by myself or like whatever like i did she talk about travis she did not talk about him she mentioned i wonder what their co-parenting relationship is like like just storm aloo like spend the night of travis's i never like he's never around and you know the kardashians they love to keep like former boyfriends and we don't know that he's never around though we don't know no i just like never see him on the show yeah chris is never wishing him a happy birthday you know she doesn't i feel like she doesn't um she did not mention travis she did not mention timothy except one time she said that she's in a relationship because she was being asked about like how she like her hobbies and stuff and she was like you know I only have so much time like I'm working so much and then I'm with my kids and then I'm in a relationship and I have my friends and my family and like there's only so much time for all of that so like that was I'm sure that that was like a no-go for of course for Jake because he would have brought it up like so many things are a no-go but it's like don't go on a podcast no no that's not what I was gonna say go on a podcast like why do we have to know about every facet of your life like we don't we like of course I want to know like please tell us about timothy but like why can't you just also not you know which is what she's doing and i would rather her go on a podcast and have all of these guardrails than not go on at all have nothing you know yeah no and i think she's at a place where like she will only go on something that like will respect her boundaries and like maybe for a while she thought she like couldn't do stuff like that if she wasn't going to be open and i feel like you can do a little bit and go on like safe places like Chloe and I guess Kid Cudi where you can open up a little bit about the things that you want to talk about and it's okay if you don't want to talk about other stuff it's a bummer for me like all I want to hear about the funniest part that was so unintentionally funny they do this segment at the end where they do like dear toasters where people like write in and she's giving advice and like she was giving a prescription I think you forget I was also on Therapist oh you were you oh my god have you not seen my episode it's some of my best work oh my god no I haven't but now I have to okay so there are certain moments when like I was like I know that this is iconic like I need to be and I was up and by the way I was one fucking pound it was the same weekend I ran the 5k it was a busy weekend I need to watch your episode because this was the first episode of therapist that I watched so I also was just experiencing a new podcast and new format it's also so funny to me to like watch someone like reading their ads I don't know why it like feels like watching you get yelled at by your parents wait but she wasn't there no no no I was just like It was just like funny.

28:29Who were the sponsors? SeatGeek. He's going to a Lorde concert that he was very excited about.

28:33Jackie Oshry:Of course he is. Venmo. He loves his Venmo credit card. He's a big Venmo partner. I think those were the only two. I think it was just like, yeah. And then, and it's just funny to like watch a podcast. And so, oh, this was the thing, the advice segment. There were a bunch of different questions about like, how do I find my personal style? Like, just like random questions that were benign. But then there was one that was like, I'm so scared to like put myself out there in relationships. of like fear of rejection like I just have no confidence and like blah blah blah and like Jake was like oh my god this is me like I'm so scared of rejection like I can't and Kylie literally did not say one thing she did not offer she could not relate she's not over one piece of advice she goes like what's the next one dead that's such a slang it was really really funny it was also just really cute because he was like so nervous and like he couldn't stop telling her how nervous he was and she was like you're doing amazing and she's really a big fan of his she was just like you are the cutest person on the internet like I love your thirst traps I love your podcast I also oh my god that's like that's insane it was insane she was so sweet to him and he was like you're so nice and like not into like you are intimidating because of who you are but like you're so sweet and like you know like the popular girl who makes everyone feel special oh that's so cute that's a good yeah analogy and she was like no it's really genuine she's like i don't want to be intimidating and like i can't imagine what it's like for her to just like be her like she's the biggest person in the world amongst like taylor swift but she's just like a girl you know taylor swift is like singing and on stage and like kylie just like it's like this like prolific historic songwriter kylie's like literally just a person she's just like famous for being a person and being herself.

30:17And it's just like, it was very humanizing. It was very cute. There were a lot of cute bits that, you know, they were talking about how much they love a cigarette. Those two are, oh, she's inviting him over and cooking for him.

30:28Jackie Oshry:Kylie likes a cigarette? Kylie loves a cigarette. They're having one after they finish recording. I'm cracking up. Yes, they drank red wine. They're both going to have a Euro summer. Of course. With cigarettes. But no, she invited him multiple times to come to her house. and she wants to make him fry chicken, candied sweet potatoes, and green bean casserole to prove to him that he could like Thanksgiving food. By the way, at this point, you don't have to watch because I'm literally telling you. But I will say the interview started and I got a little nervous because they started talking about video games because she said she just got a Switch.

31:01He was like, oh my God, I was thinking about getting a Switch. What do you play? And so she's talking about how she plays a game called Zelda and he was like, what's that?

31:07Jackie Oshry:And she starts describing this video game and I'm like, no, no, I'm not. This is not what I thought. I got like nervous for him because I'm like, wait, this sucks. Like, and if I were him, I would have been stressing like, oh my God, Kylie Jenner's here and I have her describing a video game like pivot. Yeah. Right. But it was just like, it was just cute. He was just like giving her space to talk about the things that she like likes. I can't believe Kylie's doing podcasts. Like, I just want to put it out there. Like, I need her to come on the toast. I have so much to talk to her about. Like being a Nick's widow.

31:39Jackie Oshry:We live the same life, me and Kylie. Yeah. Being teen moms. And then she was saying that she likes podcasts and she's been enjoying doing podcasts. And I just like wish he asked, like, what do you listen to? I just wish. I know. I just wish. I'm scared. Kylie, she's just everything. She was so everything. And she doesn't even have to do the most. She's just like talking. Herself. Sharing little anecdotes. There were a lot of anecdotes that like we've heard before. Like a lot of things, you know, King Kylie era stuff, which I've like personally moved on from. um but it but you know as long once you get her like in the groove like she's just like she has so much riz it's off the charts like when did that happen the riz yeah the riz and the hair and the body and the and the smiling and the hands like the hair she's literally the rizzler she is the rizzler like she's just like the most beautiful woman in the world oh and then she kept talking about how like she doesn't leave her house a lot and he was like why and she was like when i'm in LA and like I know I'm gonna leave the house like I'm gonna get paparazzi'd and like so I have to like put on an outfit and I just like can't like think of an outfit or like I just don't want to like get dressed or like she was also talking about how sometimes she like can't find an outfit and like she'll take 40 minutes and then when that happens she's just like forget it I'm just wearing my favorite jeans and like a tank top or a t-shirt but it's like how does she not able to find an outfit she has the most perfect body unlimited yeah unlimited money unlimited access and a perfect body.

33:04Jackie Oshry:If she can't do it, there's seriously no hope for the rest of us. And innate personal style and confidence and charisma and swagger. And probably a team of stylists. Like everything fits her. And the best body in the world. So like what does she put on that she says like I'm not feeling this. I don't like how it like. She's just a girl. She's just a girl. I don't understand how that's possible. Like what could she possibly put on her body that like didn't look good? It definitely makes me think like. And the thing is I should never leave the house because if she can't. Right. And we see so often her wearing just like jeans.

33:40Jackie Oshry:But it looks so thoughtful. No. So it's like she's having that experience like almost every day. She's having a bad day. Yeah. Almost every day. Especially when getting dressed for the Knicks game. She really doesn't know what to wear. Yeah. Even though like I feel like it's almost easier to get ready for the Knicks game because like you just need to wear like a Knicks jacket or like a shirt or a hat. Yeah. Yeah. So I just I was shocked by that because I'm like if you can't get dressed how can how How do any of us stand a chance? Oh my gosh. I need Kylie to do more podcasts. Obviously, like my first choice is the toast.

34:09Jackie Oshry:But just in general, loved. And I'm curious. Yeah, I guess she's really only going on things that like she probably listens to Jake's podcast, like things that she finds interesting. Yeah. And I'm sure her friends have been on it. They had positive experiences. It's a safe place. She can trust him to cut out like whatever or not ask whatever. Which, by the way, we do the same thing. Yeah, Kylie, just so you know, we'll obviously respect every single one of your boundaries. We'll cut it. if you need it to cut it down to 30 seconds like whatever we'll cut anything you want cut if you decide that like you hated it and you don't want it to be released we won't even release it yeah we would literally scrap the whole thing if you asked us to um and that policy goes for everyone like we don't ask questions that they don't want us to ask and we cut out when people ask us to cut out yeah so we are a safe place yeah just saying so yeah i don't feel like you need to watch it now but let me know if you do and i probably will yeah i'm sure you'll see clips I just didn't realize it was like imminent homework that we had to be doing.

35:04I didn't feel an obligation. I felt it was a desire.

35:07Jackie Oshry:It's beautiful. Yeah. No, I was like very much sad and excited. Like my show was on. Kids were down. Cup of pretzels. Oh my God. I also had a cup of pretzels last night. Sparkle water. What kind of pretzels? Pretzel crisps. The things. Very good. But you know what? I had that I think is supreme. Honey twist. Honey twist. You love. From us. A honey twist pretzel is so fucking good. Yeah. Yeah. I like a pretzel crisp. And now in a red sole lookup. Yeah. I do like to dip it sometimes. Not at night. In mustard? In the middle of the day in mustard. That's disgusting. It's really not. Pretzels and mustard is like an old pastime.

35:49Jackie Oshry:It's a disgusting pastime. No, it's a classic. Sure. It's as classic as America. Peanut butter and jelly. Are you ready for our next story? Yeah. related to yesterday speculation Alex Earl's new Netflix show title revealed and it's better than anything we thought of it is true Earl Meets World it is now I thought it was Earl Girls but even though that is giving rural jurors so upon reflection I don't want that to be the title Earl Meets World it looks really good they released this cute little trailer we didn't get a release date yet it just says like coming soon yeah and it's coming soon and did nobody else know that like her mom had a hot ass boyfriend which I'm glad for but there was like this other guy besides the dad and I'm like who is that and they saw him in in a picture of Alex her dad and the wife Alex and her mom and then the guy so I just presume that that's like the mom's boyfriend or her husband he's so hot and I just love that for her like I love that for her love that for her And I do feel like the title encapsulates the fact that all the Earls are meeting the world and the world is meeting the Earls.

36:57It's not just about the girls or Alex. I think it's a great title.

37:04Jackie Oshry:She's putting a lot of like her weight behind. Obviously, it's a big deal. It's a Netflix show, but like she's promoting it a lot. She's hyping it up a lot. Like I'm sad. Like my expectations are high. Yeah. No, as she should. You get one shot at a family reality show. You put the whole Alex Cooper thing, we presume, on this. Mm-hmm. Alex Hooper also spotted out. Yeah, I was going to say, it's not a story, but she was at the YouTube up front with her husband presenting a strong front, holding hands, not getting divorced. Allegedly. And also announcing new programming. That's two people who are not getting divorced.

37:37Jackie Oshry:No, of course, of course, of course. I was kidding. Oh. They also announced new programming for Unwell YouTube shows. Yeah, Unwell Summer Winter Games, Thanksgiving Thrill Game. yeah I get the sense that like now this is where she's putting all of her eggs like creating original reality shows like Unwell was doing a lot of things I feel like for a while she was like wanting to become a big podcast network and that like didn't really work so now they're doing this and I and it's like all YouTube shows and I get that YouTube is like getting their pussy in the game and like this is their way but I just feel like who wants to watch a TV show on YouTube not me is it gonna be on YouTube TV also like yeah I know she's just sort of like pioneering this new format no no I would watch like the way I watch a YouTube video but like I if there was a piece of programming that I wanted to watch I would go and watch it on YouTube sure but like unless Molly May is on summer games I don't know I'm gonna do that yeah and again it feels like we were talking the other day about this new genre of reality shows where we're taking people from multiple franchises and making them compete in some sort of thing um this is just feels like Rituality Retreat.

38:47Yeah.

38:48Jackie Oshry:Yeah, but not in a good way. Because Traitors is the Dancing with the Stars. Like that's the top tier. And some of these shows just sound dreadful. These sound better than Reality Retreat. I will say Reality Treat is the absolutely very last one. Lowest, yeah. And I will say everybody else is sort of fighting it out right now. You know, we have the Reality Mafia show. Like we have Winter Games. The Mob. It's up for the taking. I think it's a good format. obviously people want to watch some of this stuff so everybody's throwing their hat in the ring and let's see the cream rises the cream rises and is it cream we'll find out the youtube show that she already had which was just um unwell winter games oh and then she also released like a uh docuseries for behind the met gala looks and i wonder if that happened this year at the met gala wait what one of her things coming up is a met gala bts docuseries

39:48with who with their youtube unwell no but i'm saying like are they getting ready with people is it fashion police i don't know where i saw it now i can't find it but it's not i just want to say episode get probably getting ready with people behind the looks etc or it's hosted by Alex. That's what I read.

40:08Jackie Oshry:Oh, that's interesting. Episode four of... It's called Before the Steps. Oh, okay. Episode four of Winter Games, which I'm gathering there was only four episodes. Okay. Because it came out a month ago. Had a million views. Oh, great. Episode three had 1.7. Episode two had a million. And episode one had 1.4. That's pretty good. that's better than like some of that stuff on cable i mean real housewives of new york it's less views than my instagram story like yeah yeah also the thanksgiving uh show that she's doing is called pot stirrers it's a traders inspired competition where two secret pot stirrers are planted among a volatile group of reality stars and internet personalities each working to sabotage the night from within for a shot at a cash prize you know like if you wanted to like like we could go on stuff like this no i'm okay right you don't have personalities yeah no like we are definitely in the pool of people who might be selected for this new genre of tv shows yeah you guys know i was asked to be on special forces thank you and of course we could forget the mass singer but um no i never even thought of how this like what i was just talking about all these new shows i mean you would be really good at pot stirrer you think so you should go on should i it's like thanksgiving theme so like it's probably like cozy vibes like right you know bikinis necessary that's what i meant of course exactly what i meant no a lot of these it's like it's like a swimming challenge i'm out i'm cracking up should i like put yourself forward let me call my agent let me call my agent jack's on pot stirrer season one and i think there's like a thanksgiving feast like maybe i could cook could you imagine i don't think that that's a vibe could you imagine if i did one of these things i think you should i would support that like so hard i think i should just to like shake it up you know sometimes it's just like what if i just but then you have to like it's the actual going and doing logistics and what i'm like i can't the kids i guess yeah they're coming to where are we going we're all stirring the pot we're all stirring the pot yeah that's the hard part is like the logistics i guess if they want to if there's okay if there's a one of these shows what are we calling them like a mix let's call it like south florida retreat yeah no if there's one that's gonna happen in south larder but it's giving bikinis so no so never mind so never mind if there's one that's happening at like disneyland disney world in the winter let me know in january there probably is considering how many different permutations of shows are happening right like this is the new trend everyone's trying to be traitors yeah i'm fucking cracking up that we could go on shit like this yeah but we're not going to right like please don't make me i know No, we're not going to, but just thinking about it is just giving me a chuckle.

43:00And it's just fun to think about.

43:02Jackie Oshry:Yeah, although I do feel like because the internet is so groupthink, I feel like they are going to have a hard time casting high-level people for internet personalities for these types of shows because everybody's like Team Alex, Earl. Oh, no, everybody's thirsty. And Alex Earl's not giving them a job. It's so true. So all of you guys who really showed yourselves and your jealousy. Yeah, right. Everybody like making TikToks. Into your hole. Because she's still the boss. Hadn't have paychecks. Are you ready for our next story? You're not going to want to hear it, but we have to talk about it. What?

43:45Kelsey Ballerini and Chase Stokes were reunited and spotted together strolling through the streets of New York City.

43:52Jackie Oshry:yeah this is really bad yeah it's really bad um not only for like it's bad for her because i don't feel that this is you know her end-all be-all someone who cheats on you someone who publicly embarrasses you like this is not a person who really loves you deeply so from a relationship romantic standpoint this is such a bad call but also like for some reason and it's because it's like when people you know flip flop back and forth in the public eye it just like rubs people the wrong way but it's also like so bad for her q score like this really turns like rubs people the wrong way in terms of like the public perception of it and i think that like it's not good for her career either yeah no it's not because it rubs people the wrong way but also like if the songs and her songs are so mirror images of her life like and she drops them like the week after she writes them and so if the songs are about like this right now like nobody wants to hear it is the problem like it's not if even if she writes a banger like it's not really a relatable feeling of like going back to like the person that everybody nobody wants to like at a certain point yeah he's bad for you you could write that song but like this you know the beating of the dead horse nobody wants to hear it it's so incongruous but this like new era she's been and she moved to new york and all of her content and her interviews has just been about how it's been like such a freeing experience to live in a new place by herself make new friends and so she's like made you know 10 steps forward and now 11 steps backwards like it's just I hate to see it.

45:18Maybe she needs your friendship and counsel.

45:20Jackie Oshry:I am around. Of course, I do live in the bright light big city. But, you know, it's also like sometimes like people just have to like make their own mistakes and like learn the hard way. And it's definitely tough to do with so many people watching and criticizing because like, you know, normal girls do this all the time. They go back to like their shitty ex and. Yeah. Yeah. But I think we expect more of our I feel like singer songwriters. I feel like the back and forth like was fine until a point. And I feel like with them, they've reached that point. And now we're past the point. And I feel like with even normal girls, she's not sharing anymore.

45:55Jackie Oshry:Get to a point with their friends. And we're friends. All right, girl, I can't. And where it's actually over. Like, when does it just be over? Yeah, I thought it was. I actually really did when she was like, listen, I'm done sharing. Like, I made a mistake. And then like, she like looked so silly because he did, you know, end up doing whatever and they broke up again. It's really crazy. And you know what makes it even sadder? It means that she's not dating Craig Conover. And maybe if she was dating Craig Conover, we wouldn't be in this pickle. And I actually need Craig to just slide into her DMs because that's how her and Chase met.

46:33Jackie Oshry:So she obviously peruses. Yeah, and she knows him from the show and she bid on him and he would be great. She needs to, he needs to send like a really slick message. Let's help him think of like being like, just to sort of help her get out of this bind. Like. Or he should just ask her out. You know what? I think I need to take matters into my own hands. And set them up. I have both of their phone numbers. I should just put them in a chat and be like, listen, I think you two should meet. Yeah. You should have, or, or you host like a dinner party, like a Shabbat dinner. When Craig's in town. Yeah.

47:09And invite both of them. I think that's better.

47:10Jackie Oshry:That's actually a really good idea. I think that's better. I'll have to find out when Craig's coming. But Craig flies in all the time. One thing about Craig, he flew in for Ruby's bris. I fucking love that. I just fucking love him. They tried to make us hate him and they could never. Never.

47:31Okay. This is a good plan. Yeah. Are you ready for our fourth story? I am. Andy Cohen denies Real Housewives of Beverly Hills fakery after Louisa Kudrow awkwardly called him out on Watch What Happens Live.

47:45Jackie Oshry:Oh, I'm so glad we're talking about this because I also want to talk about something that happened on Watch What Happens Live last night with Nick Lachey. Did you see that clip? Which about the plane? Yeah. I didn't see the clip. What happened? So Andy was like, there was a rumor that you actually were on the same flight as Jessica Simpson quite recently. And Nick, who was actually very respectful, was like, yeah, we were on the same flight. And Andy was asking so many questions. So like he ended up spilling a little bit of tea, but only because Andy was pushing. The comments were like, Nick loves to talk about Jessica.

48:12Jackie Oshry:Actually, I felt like it was really pulled out of him because he was being a little confusing because it was like we were both there with our families. But then Nick was like, yeah, so it was like Jessica and her mom. And he was like, well, where are the kids? So lo and behold, Jessica flew her kids coach. While Nick, Vanessa and the whole crew were in first class, Jessica and her mother were in first class and the kids were in coach. and I just want to say that makes me love her. Like kids should not be flying first class unless they're like, you know, under the age of like, they need diaper change.

48:45Jackie Oshry:When kids can be grown, yeah, bitch, you're sitting in coach. We're not all flying first class. Until they can sit without their parents. Absolutely. Yeah. It wasn't clear if her husband was also in coach with them, which I actually think he - Didn't they split up? So then Nick was like, and I'm not sure if it's like where they stand, but like her husband, I think he was in coach with the kids. Wow, queen. Queen! the comments were coming for i'm like wait no that's my fucking queen right there but also like queen for nick and vanessa for flying with their kids in first class even though they're of lesser means uh much lesser so everyone just seems like a good person in this story yeah and he and i think that like for a while he hated jessica simpson like obviously that was his ex-wife but like hated because he became the villain in the story and i think it took a really long time of like positive like honestly love is blind really helped like positive public affection like for him to get out of it so I think now they're at a place where they all like each other but I think they really hated Jessica for many years yeah but I also think he was a bad husband yeah not just that like her story painted him in a certain way like I think that he was like we all watched it on the show and also like in her book like I think he was the wrong husband for her I think he was very jealous and like just and maybe I don't know why I just like hope he's not that person anymore he was also younger and like maybe he didn't like how he was I agree that I think he wasn't a bad person he was like a young famous like it's just a recipe I could see him being like a healed version now yeah but yeah like when you're a pop star marrying a pop star and then like your wife becomes much more famous and rich than you and like your star is rising and her star is lowering and hers is rising like that's got to be hard for a young person yeah and like seriously what kind of young male can really like what's the best way to handle that right it's you takes a real strong type and a lot of maturity and wisdom that come with age yeah anyways so annie cohen addressed lisa kudrow because when she was on watch what happens live andy asked um her about like what she's watching and she said that she had been watching real housewives of beverly hills um and he like wanted her take and he was like begging her for it and she was like you're not gonna like it you're not gonna like it i thought what she was gonna say was that it's boring like Remember when Sarah Michelle Keller said that?

50:54Yeah. And so then she was like, the band. She said, I saw the Beverly Hills episode. You don't want me to discuss it. I'm telling you right now. I thought she was like, it's boring. She said, I'm just going to say black Mercedes Sprinter twins. I caught that. I'm sorry. To which Andy awkwardly chuckled and responded, okay, yeah.

51:13Jackie Oshry:So what she's referring to is that in Italy on Beverly Hills, there's like this big scene where Dorit leaves. Erica, they all took a cab together, a black Mercedes Sprinter van. They all took it up to this gelato shop and Dorit gets mad and leaves and takes the car. But, you know, eagle eyed viewers were quick to point out there were two vans there because they had two different license plates. It was so like actually quite obvious what was going on. So they're making this big storyline like you left us up the mountain. It's like, no, we didn't. There was a car right there. We had to wait 45 minutes for an Uber.

51:40They see them like walking the street and then they wind up getting in a van. And it's the same van that drove them there. So Andy spoke about it on his radio show. He said it blew up that people were saying she was calling me out on the fakery of the show. He explained to his co-host that the scene that she was referring to was when they blew up in Italy. Dorit said screw you got in the Mercedes van and left. What Lisa was pointing out was that there was another Mercedes van there so they weren't stranded. However he said he had heard from producers that Dorit did strand them in town. The other car was the crew vehicle that was taking the crew somewhere else.

52:13So Kyle and Erica then called the house to ask for a ride back. They called the house and that's why the van that had just dropped off the crew then returned to get Erica and Kyle. He promised that they were walking on the street and that waiting for the car was real. He added that the stars were waiting for some time before the crew van returned to get them. It's not even that interesting, he said. I'm sorry to bore you guys, but that's what happened.

52:35Jackie Oshry:Well, I also then read a blind item from Antti on Twitter that was like Andy was really pissed about this and Lisa Kudrow's never allowed back on Watch It Happens Live. even though I believe Andy Cohen is a huge Lisa Kudrow fan. Like the comeback is his favorite show. And I believe that they're like old friends. So I'm going to choose not to believe that blind although I can see Andy like being so mad. It's just not that big of a deal. Like first of all, I don't know that I believe Andy's story. Maybe I don't think he's a liar but like I just don't like his version of it because like why would the crew take a van when there's two ladies stranded on the mountain?

53:05Jackie Oshry:Right, wouldn't the car take the ladies and then the crew? And where is the crew going to another location if it's not the house where they're all filming and saying the other women are at the house. Right. And why can't the women and the crew drive together? Yeah. Or Dorit and the crew. And so it's like, maybe he's telling, maybe this is true, but I just, I don't like it. You know? I agree. I don't want to believe it. Maybe it's a version of the truth. I don't want to believe it. I also like don't really care. No, me neither. And it's not that big of a scandal. I guess it would show that they like fake stuff for the show.

53:35I don't think that it was fake, but I do think that maybe production, could have had a situation where erica and kyle were not stranded because they did have another car and they chose to strand them drama it left in one car the thing is dorit did not strand them she saw two cars and she took one knowing her friends had another car i think that's the difference it's not that dorit stranded them and then production chose to strand them then yeah by giving that interesting like yeah you know it's not i think it feels like a gotcha

54:07Jackie Oshry:moment like for like fans be like yeah eagle-eyed viewers like i guess i'm the opposite of an eagle eyed viewer i can't get off my phone i'm busy watching an episode of euphoria like well Beverly Hills is on my tv i'm watching cassie and nate yeah and maybe zendaya did she die who knows will cassie and nate divorce i keep being surprised that it seems like they're not divorced because he's like calling her from the kitchen like with the bills being like work harder like make that money well maybe they don't get divorced because like one of them dies now I'm like now you put into my brain that somebody dies oh okay who do you think it is I TBD it might have been Zendaya already we don't know based on what I've seen oh I think you know what that's a good poly market like who dies in euphoria like prediction hold on I think it's Rue and that would like make sense you know I think Zendaya is ready oh wait there is one who will die in euphoria season three 77 percent of people say it's nate jacobs that's uh jacob lordy 57 percent of people say it's rue i feel like rue's like a little obvious 15 say jules nate is a good but like the show he's like chanel i don't know jules because she's not a hunter schaefer she has her reels haven't hit you yet no i don't get her scenes no well you could check out the poly market pop culture markets download the app and use code toast of course oh you told me jules and and Rue are together.

55:28Is that what you're saying? Yes, yes.

55:30Jackie Oshry:And then there's a couple of other people here. Maddie, but no, I actually think Nate Jacobs is a good guest. I think so too, based on what I've seen. He deserves to die. Except, yeah, but he's like the villain and like shows like this, like that's too, like it's too much of a happy ending. But wouldn't it just be like then the women can like rise from the ashes? It's not that type of show. It is not that type of show, my girl. And Girlboss to the sun and the moon. No. And back. It ain't that type of show. and sisterhood will no longer be screwed well i say screw sisterhood you think that's like the theme of euphoria kind of yeah yeah are you ready for our fifth and final story yeah it's a little crazy dirty Lou Murda news oh my god i can't believe we're back to talking about this Alex Murda's murder confessions convictions not confessions that's important distinction his murder convictions of wife and son shockingly overturned and a new trial has been ordered in a wild twist so alex murda the disgraced south carolina legal scion who was found guilty of killing his wife and son had his murder conviction sensationally overturned yesterday by the state supreme court after it found that the local county clerk clerk had placed her fingers on the scales of justice murda was serving two consecutive life sentences without parole for the grisly 2021 murders of his wife Maggie and their 22 year old son Paul following a dramatic six-week trial that gripped the nation and many docuseries although we are aware of the time money and effort expended for this lengthy trial we have no choice but to reverse the denial of Murdaugh's motion for a new trial due to Hill's improper external influences on the jury and remand for a new trial so what did they do that caused a retrial this is so crazy the murder's lawyers appealed the convictions arguing the trial was affected by county clerk becky hill who they say tampered with the jury during the trial they also accused the judge of allowing prosecutors to present more than 12 hours of evidence regarding his financial crimes to prove a motive for the murder murder's lawyers appealed the murder convictions arguing the trial was affected by oh they they put that again twice That's a typo.

57:45Jackie Oshry:Oh my God. No, it's so it's a technicality. What? Like it's like he's getting a retrial on a technicality because they went over 12 hours. No, I think I don't think you have a 12 hour limit. I think they're saying it was like unduly like they're showing 12 hours of financial crimes, which would sway a jury. But financial crimes have actually nothing to do with whether or not he murdered them. I mean, like I'm excited because that was a fun time. Like we were all watching the trial. um obviously cherny lou murdoch was born of this trial i just really feel like he did it and if he didn't he's covering up for his son who did it and so like i was okay with this you know yeah no my question is if he didn't then who did right and it's been a while since i watched the documentaries i watched a few because it was like it was a really hot topic at the time but there were theories that it was the son buster buster that's not that the lights went out in georgia but then the son that he killed hit the girl with the boat oh right they were also like they were a fucked up family because they killed someone like they had just like a lot they was hitting they were like a very wealthy family in a small town so they knew the sheriff and the judge and everything and it was just like everyone had blood on their hands and so they had a dark past of like both the sons no the son who's alive and is the one and what about the boy the boy on the street hit by right buster buster hit and run he like took that boy what boy i think i think he was gay oh the gay boy i remember yeah and they killed him someone killed him buster yeah i need to refresh if before the next trial happens because i'm sure we'll all be sat again and i need to remember like what i thought and like what i felt yeah there were like a couple murders in the town that i'm sure there will be yeah right right right were you know in the orbit of the family and then someone killed the mother property and then someone killed the mother and the son and it was thought to be the father that did it i i'm sure there will be another documentary that now includes this update and the trial and stuff because i'm kind of ready to be sad again for this yeah and i just like if he didn't do it who did it right who it's one of those who done it well a lot of people think it was the son because he has this history remember the gay lover oh and people thought maybe it was a lover yeah that he's gay right very david karoski energy from clay it was for sure one thing about david karoski from glaze like it all roads lead to him like he's sort of a timeless well it's not really he's almost like a silhouette like a lot of people are david karoski like a self the gay basher who's secretly gay yeah bully right what'd you call him the gay basher gay basher no i would never call someone a gay bastard i didn't say bastard i didn't hear what you said it sounded like gay bastard and i didn't know gay basher like somebody who like beats up gay people yeah but it's because they themselves are gay yeah it's a complicated thing well those are the fast five stories you need to know them.
