0:00Good morning, millennials. Welcome back to the toast and happy Tuesday. The first Tuesday in 2025. Is it? Are you sure about that? Well, it's the seven. It's January 7th. It could, could be. Actually, I feel like. It is, it is. It's what? The first Tuesday in 2025. Okay, thank you for cutting off what was otherwise a brilliant intro. Hey, Jax. How you doing? We had to fact check. We had to, we had to give a community note. You did? That's kind of like, that's kind of like what makes us special and different is the lack of. I know, but we hide that later in the episode. Right out the gate. Not only is today the first Tuesday in 2025, it's the first Deer Toasters in 2025, and the DTQ, the Deer Toasters community, will not be silenced.

0:44And we're starting off 2025 with that message. We're putting that forward. Yes, bring us your ales. Give us your tired, your hungry. I was gonna say that, bring us your tired, your poor. What's it from? The Statue of Liberty. classic oh you know Ben and I were just having this discussion as native as a native New Yorker uh neither of us have ever been to the Statue of Liberty should we do like a day trip vlog it for Patreon do not come I don't think you would like it I think if you want to visit landmarks that's like a really fun thing to do but the Statue of Liberty like she's a seafaring woman yeah and she is not on land had made a good point like we probably will have to do those things in the next couple of years god willing you know with our growing family like why do it twice 100 percent and it will be like really fun when you do it with your family like seeing it through their eyes and if you go now you're gonna be like this old thing that's why like ben sometimes it's like should we go to disney i've heard it's really fun you can drink and i'm like no just like wait a couple years no what if we didn't i feel like i've got some dizz in me soon i haven't planned anything but i was actually thinking when the next time you're gonna go to disney is I should go in the next few months tis the season for the diz why because it's like cool weather and it's not terrible like chub rub weather and it's not like high traffic holiday time like things are more quiet here like before spring break we went at this time last year and it was pargy um that just reminded me of something like you know there's so much about pregnancy that reminds me of my former fat life like there's just I'm sorry I know like when you get pregnant you're not getting fat you're building a human of course but I would be remiss if I didn't notice the similarities um and one of them is I now like I get chub rub again that was something I sort of like evolved past you left behind yeah and no we're back and I've been like putting and like even like chafing between my breasts like lots of different issues I have a feeling I'm gonna lose the ability to cross my legs soon which is something I just got back with those epic so that's upsetting I'm sorry.

2:48Yeah. Just like that's a little bit of an update about me. Spread them. Spread them. I will be spreading them on the show in the coming months. And I don't want to hear a word about it. No, that's fine. Listen as a podcast, you know? Yeah. We're always available as a podcast if you don't like what you see. Anywhere podcasts can be found. Imagine not liking what you see. Hit it. Hit it with the heart. The thing is, I don't check every day to see if we did it. I checked yesterday. We didn't. But I know when we do it, like the comments are going to go crazy. So I'm just waiting for that moment. Today's a very special day.

3:23It is because every day on this beautiful planet is a special one. And? And because of what you're doing. Yeah, so we're actually recording today's episode early. So if you're seeing this a little bit earlier, it's one of the things we can thank my coccidinia for. So today I have finally decided to take control of my body and my future and seek out some help with my coccidinia. Now, I'm limited in my healing options because I'm pregnant. And when I got my diagnosis at first, I couldn't share it with you guys, but I did know I was pregnant. I had, like, just found out a week before. So I couldn't really do anything.

4:00This is a physiatrist. I'm not sure. Physiologist? No, no. I hadn't heard it. Like, physiatrist. No. Physicist. Oh, no, no, no, no, no. Whatever. Something with your body. Who specializes in pregnant women. Your body. Your body. So I don't know if there's going to be anything she's going to be able to help me with. This might just have to be something I sit tight with until pregnancy ends. You'll be sitting tight. Oh, will I? But just know, like, while you're enjoying this episode, I'm taking control of my body and my future. Can you say the same? I actually personally can. I don't want to, like, rub anything in.

4:36but as you guys know, I've been suffering from sciatica for years. I remember feeling the feeling like right after I had Charlie and I started to do a little digging and one of the notes said like magnesium can help. I've started taking magnesium at night. You guys, I'm cured. So not entirely like getting up from the makeup chair this morning hurt a little bit, but like compared to where I was, like I, I'm having no issues. And so now when we go back to the conversation of whose condition was worse, the fact that yours was like easily treatable with a vitamin, we are not the same we don't know that yours isn't oh and I do have sciatica and over winter break I actually got locked in like a sciatica position I could not get up off a chair it was actually really scary I thought I was going to call an ambulance um so I know what sciatica is like and I know what bad sciatica is like and let me tell you she doesn't have a thing on coccidinia that's not what the commenter said I think it is no they said well the commenters can be really painful but all I just wanted to share if you're suffering from what I had been describing all this time a pinched nerve in the cheek, running down the leg, couldn't put your shoes on, magnesium.

5:38The commenters also said they didn't hear a difference in my laugh and they're wrong. So that's hurtful. I know. And yesterday they're out to get us last night before bed. I don't know what compelled me. Oh, cause it snowed yesterday and it reminded me of something every now and then I realized there's something about me that Ben doesn't know, like a little tidbit from childhood. And I share it with him. And last night I realized there's like this thing that I had to call Margo. I feel like you don't even know about it either. It snowed yesterday and it reminded me of this thing me and Margo used to do when we were kids and I was telling Ben about it and I was wheezing so hard.

6:09I had the craziest laugh. Like how anybody could say my laugh isn't different. Like they don't know Turney. They haven't been here long enough. It's giving death. Like you obviously don't know me. What do you used to do when it snowed? So, you know, growing up, me and Margo shared a room. You and Olivia had your own rooms and me and Margo. So me and Margo definitely have like our own history our own herstory excuse me you do you do and like many kids our age like we were obsessed with snow days like we used to like literally like beg for them and like actually like when I was telling you about the story last night I was so embarrassed like I couldn't even get it out and then I had to call Margo because like it's like about like this song that we made up and she was singing it like we were actually crying on the phone okay so Margo and I like when And we, you know, like you would see on the news, like there was like a lot of anticipation, like it might snow tomorrow.

6:58Yeah. Yeah. And so we wouldn't know if school was canceled yet. We were going to like wake up and find out. And we would just sort of like try and put out. Manifest. Yeah. Put out positive energy. And we thought that like if we made up this song and we sang it and did this like special dance, that it would in turn create a snow day. Now, obviously that as a concept like isn't embarrassing or weird. But when I tell you what the song was, like you will die. Do you know what I'm talking about? No. You have no idea what this is. Sing it. I actually can't sing it without like turning purple I was Jackie I was like honestly I'll look away maybe close your eyes I need to give you a little bit of a background because you're gonna be like why does it sound like that you're not gonna get the song the first time you hear it okay oh okay take a couple listens before it's taken after the second and third time you're gonna be like okay um it's about I and I don't know it was kind of prolific of us because we were super young we were basically trying to like channel like the weather gods in like a sort of tribal like sentence like so when you hear the song it's very like African rain dance like I don't know where we pick this up like maybe maybe we copied it from a movie or a tv show but I'm pretty sure it's original and it's not English it's just sounds like I actually I'm so embarrassed Margo is going to kill me I called Margo she thought someone died I was laughing so hard I was like crying okay so it goes like this and I need you to actually look away I'm looking away I'm gonna drink my, actually I won't drink my coffee.

8:15I could choke.

8:35And imagine me and Margaret, we put all of our pillows in a circle and we would like do this dance where like we would go right arm left arm right arm left I'm like very tribal very like I don't know exactly what we were like very Aztec almost I'm not sure I'm gonna share this is offensive but it's what we were like we were literally six years old and I don't know what reminded me of it I haven't thought of it in so long and I was telling about the story about it like I actually was crying like I was like so embarrassing oh my god and I couldn't remember like the actual sounds we making so I had to call Margo.

9:10Did she fill in the blanks? Of course. And I think that like oh my god I think that like of all the things she thought she was gonna pick up the phone in here this was like literally like she I could have given her a million guesses she was never gonna guess this like it it had been completely erased from my mind but it was a thing we did four years let me tell you it never worked like we would wake up the next morning. Yeah I was gonna say what's the success rate? Like maybe once and we were like it worked. Oh my god I was laughing so hard. Ben was like, are you okay? And I was like, no. That is so funny.

9:39I love like how our sister Margo was just like classic cool New York City influencer. And like, we will humble her like on this show in her life, like reminding her that she's just your kid's sis. She's just a member of a tribe. She's just someone's little sister. No. And it was such a little sister. With her big sister, with her musical big sister. Cause you know, it was your idea. Cause you know, that's not a Margo initiated game. Oh my God. Like she's such a good little sister because we all could see you doing it of course no no and she went along with it and like I really I I remember like convincing her that like it had powers you know and she was like okay like she had nothing to lose like I'm sad and if she woke up the next day and there wasn't a snow day she she would have been like well maybe if I did the dance there would have been maybe if I danced harder if I sang louder for her life oh god i actually can't breathe like we were such freaks we did a lot of like weird like we but we did the classic as kids like making up dances we were really into gymnastics but we were those kids let's not forget our favorite game p.a.g popular and geek nobody wanted to be cast as the geek let me tell you it was always me or margo yeah and we would basically just like mimic like the movies mean girls like yeah some of us would pretend to be cheerleaders and others we were like actresses and the other one would like hold a book it's so crazy that we've like gone on to be cool great things um just because it was definitely touching no i'm crying like serious freaks yeah oh my god hysterical that's like sibling like you can you can never explain it like when i'm when you guys are listening to this you probably think it sounds so weird but like but then i see these memes of like people like it's a video and someone be like me and my cousin doing a dance so that we could stay up later and I'm like oh my god that's we all had the same childhood so I actually think a lot of people relate a lot of people were making up dances and like doing shit I think making up dances was like by far the most normal thing we did like and it was obviously very political because we like grew up in a family that really respected the order of birth and like Olivia took that role really seriously we still do but Olivia like at the time was definitely on a little bit of like a power trip.

11:52Any activity that was like unsupervised Olivia was in charge and she knew it and she wielded it like a knife like she was actually like not a just ruler at all. Yeah she was always the coach she was always the lead choreographer. Yeah. Did she even have the talent to be those things like it wasn't a meritocracy. No but she had a computer in her bedroom so like when we needed music and stuff like that she provided the equipment so so in addition to being the eldest and her room like like actually your room was the biggest but she she she just like she had power and she knew it and she ran with it yeah I'd be like if I said like I wasn't harboring a little bit of resentment yeah oh but at any time we would like cook or bake which was not like a lot but she was always like head chef well that's an issue that you would have because you were always cooking with her like watching the food network so true it's amazing I never cooked like unable to cook a single thing no no actually try I spent my childhood cooking Can you believe that?

12:44I spent my childhood not. I actually spent my childhood watching Law & Order. And Food Network, you cannot understate the importance of that network in your lives. You know what's so funny? Because when we think about, and I read about this in my book a lot, I feel like so much of who I am, like my personality and the fact that we do this for a living, is the fact that we watched a lot of television growing up. And I was like one of the only girls that I knew like in high school who had a TV in my bedroom. And now we're all like screen phobic. We're like screen, screen, screen. Meanwhile, like, I would not be who I am if it weren't for the television of yore.

13:17I agree. It's definitely an interesting thing. And I do, I watch so much TV and look at me. And now I choose not to. And you're literally, like, a success. But I think there's, like, a lot of different things happening. This is how I, first of all, like, when your kids are two, like, that's not what we were. We weren't two watching TV. No, but we were young. We were, like, ten. Yeah. and like but still it's like we were developed and more so than like a toddler yeah of course than a baby are you saying you think you'll like right now people talk about like when your kids are like eight yes but then my other issue is that tvs have changed because now there are these like huge big colorful things the tv in your room claudia was like the size of a computer monitor like a laptop and you were so far away like you weren't like zoned in on it the way that people sit in front of like a huge screen these days no also like as kids we used to get in trouble for sitting too close to the tv we used to have to like back up yeah and like the tv the quality just like wasn't what it is now like the colors and which is nice when you're watching wizard wicked yeah you know i'm just pointing it out just pointing it out for damn no no i think about that all the time like even gary genetti like he's such a success because he was addicted to television yes and that's a theme and when we read kiki palmer's book it was like she literally saw her life throughout television like no so many successful people especially in entertainment like we're shaped by modern entertainment yeah and but a lot of people probably are also couch potatoes yeah yeah for every kiki palmer there's like a little couch yeah there's a larry yeah it's so true i love that i don't know you know it's all in flux turtle room we actually have quite a bit to get into today because we have remaining stories actually like just for a regular tuesday the story is a very good son foster and he jackman but there are a couple of things that we need to a couple of odds and ends from the globes and then a couple other things we need to discuss and then dear toasters as you said so i guess we could just without further ado get into the fast five stories that you do need to know and the fast five stories that you do need to know are brought to you by alo moves don't know about you but if you're ready to renew your dedication to health and wellness by tackling the reset on alo moves a curated weekly program of pilates strength and step goals to kickstart your fitness and wellness this year i was just saying this to ben like i'm finally feeling like myself again and i like the idea of moving my body not only sounds manageable, it actually sounds nice.

16:55Get moving. Today's episode is also brought to you by AG1. I feel like the theme of today and just like this month is really. The theme of this month but like I'm doing it in earnest. I just want you guys to know like I'm serious about my goals. So what I like about AG1 is like they're always promoting that like a lot of resolutions and just like wellness routines are hard to maintain but AG1 is one of the things that you can do for your health that's quick and easy and it sticks and I can prove that to be true because like my husband is the king of like starting stuff right. He's like I'm gonna go to the gym I'm gonna go keto and he literally can do it for three days the man is obsessed with AG1 he has been for well over a year he gets everyone on it his dad is on it he gets like all of his brothers-in-laws on it like he's so crazy this morning he ran out foraging foraging for my pantry oh my gosh he was like tweaking he's obsessed and there's no and it's such a really easy thing to add into your wellness routine and there's so many great benefits um it also just like, it's just easy.

17:50Like I think a lot of people get a little out of control with their wellness hacks and things of that nature. Um, and so this year, if you're looking to have like a really good morning stack, I think a lot of people like do a couple of key things in the morning to make them feel really good. AG1 is one of them. It's so easy. You pour it in your water, you chug it, you're done. Um, try AG1 for yourself. It's the perfect time to start a new healthy habit. And that's why we've been partnering with AG1 for so long. And they're offering new subscribers, a free$76 gift. When you sign up, you'll get a welcome kit, a bottle of D3K2 and five free travel packs in your first box.

18:19So make sure to check out drink ag1.com slash toast to get this offer. That's drink ag1.com slash toast to start your new year on a healthier note. Actually, Ben and I were watching TV last night. I saw a cable commercial during Jeopardy for ag1. It was like, pop off mainstream success. I have a question for you. It's probably hard because you're pregnant and like, who cares? Like this is not what you're thinking about. No, no, no. Like, do you have any resolutions that you're trying to do? Like, are you trying like new year, new you? I am not. Um, I meant to talk about that on yesterday's episode, but I got like lost in the flush.

18:49I think the last couple of years I've had resolutions that I really stuck to that I'm really proud of. Like two years ago, I was like, it's the year of yes. I'm going to say yes to life and go to things and take trips and go to the edge of a cliff. Last year, I wanted to quit my vape and I did. I thought, I actually had one thought this year that I'm not gonna do, but I saw a TikTok that was really compelling. This girl was like, she was in her car and she was talking about how much she loves the toast, but she was like, my kid is just like repeating so much stuff and I can't listen to the toast in the car anymore because like the swirlies love to drop like a big f-bomb and i was like oh like like the video like really spoke to me i was like shit that fucking sucks like for you and for me and i was it does stink for us because eventually right she misses enough episodes i know she might not feel caught up she might drop off so it crossed my mind to like maybe work on my cussing but while this is like a a show for the swirlies it's also a comedy show and like i just feel like it's funny like I don't know I struggle because what about what about extraneous cussing you know because sometimes it's not necessary sometimes it is yeah but that's just like a lot of mental gymnastics to do when I'm like trying to be myself and be funny and like you know get to work get to the I know but you're also you are probably going to want to tone it down when you have a child so it's better to start now another thing not that I'm not that I'm perfect another thing I was thinking about because there's definitely like an AI program that you can run your audio through that like bleep out any curses like what if every day we just release two episodes like clean and explicit but then like what about the charts because then we're splitting oh shit our listenership like we live for seeing ourselves high on the charts i just want to say this is something apple should offer just between you and that you should be able to choose like choose the episode be like we'd like to hear this clean or explicit and they bleep out the okay free idea somebody should do that yeah i think that's a really good idea you guys have suggestions sound off in the comments It's like, it's something I've been thinking about.

20:42I just don't know if I'm really capable of stopping cursing. It's who I am. So it was like my resolution, maybe even the last two years, it's always something that's been top of mind. And I definitely decreased usage, but not eradicated completely. No, but now if it's potentially affecting our business, we have to talk about that. And especially as we all grow together, I feel like we grow in tandem with our sisters of the toasters. If we work in tandem. if they feel like they can't listen to us in this new stage of their lives like that's not good I know I know something to think about agreed definitely definitely food for thought yep I have a lot of resolutions okay let's hear them I'm like really trying I'm going so hard on new year and new me and like you know in a real way like first of all drinking more water drinking water in the morning before I have my coffee I need to stop drinking my coffee like right when I'm rubbing my eyes like I need to drink water first so so far that's going well but then I have to pee so bad during the toast it's like kind of I know a good thing I know um of course eating healthier right now I'm doing sakara so that covers me for the week but then you know going forward more protein more healthy yep I do okay with that I do you do and then also like being uh neater like more purging of things in my house more cleaning more scrubbing like cleaner spaces I'm all for like more throwing everything in the garbage all the time more sweeper sweeping more sweeping it's true yep swipe I started following like more creators who like our comfort creators who also do like a lot of cleaning like I'm watching them do their laundry organized yeah they're like wiping down their counters I'm buying their cleaning products like more of that more productivity that's a resolution I can get behind and I would also love to this today is actually great because this is unlocking an extra hour and a half in my day by starting so early I would love to unlock my mornings with more productivity yeah well you could be one of those moms who like wakes up at 5 a.m and like goes to the gym before her kids get up the thing is I couldn't okay but like maybe getting dinner in a crock pot like before the toast that way in the time I'm usually cooking I could be doing something else I like that time management time management stuff like that let's beg let's get to the story shall we yes first up the biggest news for us of the day Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster have stepped out hand in hand for a dinner date in LA with People Magazine so it's important to know that like everything about this is scheduled staged coordinated with People Magazine so like they've made the decision they are coming out publicly they should have gone to the Golden Globes together but like I won't say anything they are ready to take on the world so she they could not have gone to the Golden Globes because she is like previewing a new play Once Upon a Mattress and so it had two uh big opening nights and he was there both nights.

23:25So there was a lot of whispers like, oh, what is he doing there? He must be. And now this picture just confirms what we all knew. What is he doing there? Like we know. I didn't even know he was at her play. I should have known that. The fact that they're older and more mature like makes me think that like, and while this is definitely like coordinated and like a planted photo, which makes me cringe, it does give me joy that like it's a well thought out launch and like they are really serious about each other because, you know, they both left their marriages. If they're not serious, they wouldn't have shared.

23:53And if they didn't think this relationship was going anywhere, they were going to stay in private until they figured it out. So the fact that they're choosing to share this, because it's clearly, you know, a staged photo, makes me think that the relationship's in like a really healthy place. Yes. And I feel like maybe the relationship got out before they were ready, but everything that they've done, he left his wife a few years ago. She left her husband maybe six months ago. And like now they're coming forward with their relationship. So it's been months of each of them being like technically single.

24:21It's seemingly kosher. No, it is kosher. And if we didn't know that they had been dating this whole time, they would have stepped out today. And we'd be like, oh, how beautiful. So I think they are just like really trying to do everything by the book. And they are like, what else can they be doing? It's not their fault that they fell in love. They're doing everything right. And instead of being like caught out pictures of them, they're like putting out pictures to the fans, to you and I. And they're really trying to be by the book. I love that. And to be clear, while like one could poke holes in their timeline, like people are not.

24:51the general reception to this is overwhelmingly positive i'm sure there's like people being like well she was spotted here wishing her anniversary whatever i no i think they they definitely fell in love while one or both of them were married yeah well but they did the music man together and that was right but there's a difference between like accidentally falling in love acting on it like these things and i think that as best as they could handle it there's not a right way to go about it it's an unfortunate thing that happens or and unless it's true love like stay where you're at okay and I don't want to get ahead of myself but it appears as though it's true love so that's the thing it's true love and and who's not getting behind true love now what are your thoughts on being in a committed relationship with somebody who's in the exact same field as you and it's a field that's quite competitive theater yeah you mean but also not theater feels like less risky than like Hollywood well yes theater is like everyone's a little bit more normal and down to earth um and you can live like a quiet life like you do your shows you go home it's very routine yeah I think uh what I what I meant more theater and like at their level you know so I think it just depends on the person I think they both straddle both it just feels like they're both doing more plays now oftentimes two big stars can't be together they want like ouch there's a million things competitiveness but these two as much as we don't know them the way that they seem like grounded people yeah yeah but do you think it's like a little too close for comfort ever i i think it would yeah i think it would be for most people yeah but some people feed off of that energy and they're collaborative and there's plenty of successful relationships in the biz a handful of them not a lot but some oh you know what that just reminded me of a great nikki glazer joke um when she was talking to nicole kidman and keith urban and she was just like i love that you don't stop playing guitar so nicole needs to leave the house as much as possible and do 85 films a are like so funny and we also like thank you for doing a long bit on Nicole and Keith so we got to watch them interact for like 15 seconds and I just I just fucking love them yeah obsessed I don't know who I like more in the relationship like that's how you know it's a good couple I actually think I might like Keith Urban more but that's just because of my because of my tastes also you know what's funny I feel like a few months ago I said on the show that like Nicole Kidman like needs to do something other than like all the roles she's been playing and so she did baby girl and like I'm not gonna see it I'm kind of like I miss Nicole Kidman yeah wait she definitely decided like she made a choice like I don't know when to shift a little bit she was doing a lot of the same and even she probably filmed perfect couple and had the same feeling we all had which was like I need to get out of my box and so did something else but now I don't know if she feels this way but I'm like okay I'm ready for more Nicole Kidman yeah I have not seen baby girl although I ended up on baby girl talk where different films like the more uh controversial ones from the film like people were filming it in theaters and so I think I saw what I needed to saw like I saw her drinking the milk you know um I don't know I was like for me to tell you because it's not what it sounds like it's worse I don't know but can I tell you the funniest thing what Dana over winter break she went to the movies with her in-laws and saw a baby girl oh my god oh my god oh my god that's terrible I saw this hilarious tiktok of a girl who like over the holidays went to the movies with her parents and they're walking out she's filming her dad and he's just like this i don't know if they were from new york what did they see baby girl and he was giving like old brooklyn he was like these people are fucking disgusted like um because the premise of the movie is that like nicole kidman starts an affair with like this young guy at work and so i thought it was like a may december type of movie but it's really not about that it's like the kid in the film is like freaky and he makes like nicole do freaky stuff and it's like submissive like dumb submissive so he like makes her pretend to be like a cat and she like drinks milk from a bowl and then like has to stand in the corner and like she's literally she's looking at the wall like she's time out like it was seriously it was disturbing and I will not be seeing it um but I agree it points to a seismic shift in Nicole Kidman you don't want to go see it with your in-laws nah nah that's really crazy of Dana she's actually crazy she had no idea well that's unfortunate beyond yeah yeah classic dana speaking of we recorded the residents yesterday the residents the redheads we recorded yesterday the book was actually um i think everyone really liked the book and we're about to ruin it for you oh seriously seriously ruin love that yeah are you ready for our next story if we must move past these two then yeah i know we'll we'll always find a way to bring it back to them we will keep tabs on them throughout the years that they will spend together yeah many many years yeah our next story is a couple golden globes odds and ends okay first up is the demi more kylie jenner snubbing yeah this video is going viral of demi going up to the unknown table with that's timothy's table with kylie and l fanning and uh who's the other girl i don't know her but she's so good yeah yeah um and she's like talking to the two girls completely like ignoring Kylie.

29:54Kylie's like really excited for her and then like realizes she's being ignored and turns around. Yeah, she's like smiling at Demi and she's like trying to get her attention and like interjecting the conversation. And then like, and then Demi goes like, you two look so beautiful. And that's when Kylie turns around. And I saw this video going around so many times and I was like, things get taken out of context. Like stop. Like she didn't snub her. And then I watched it like really closely and I watched Kylie. Yep. And you can see Kylie felt snubbed. And I know that Demi's daughter has also like taken to social media to clarify that she did not snub her but like to me had just one she was really overwhelmed like she doesn't have anything against Kylie she probably didn't even like notice this girl behind her she knows Elle Fanning really well so like that's where she was focusing I don't think it was an intentional snub and I had the same exact reaction like when people were like making this video go around I'm like oh everybody just wants to like bring Kylie down like classic Kardashian haters and then I watched it in full I was like damn and could I just say we've all been there where you're like trying to interject in a conversation like literally that people are not fucking letting you in so I had a lot of sympathy there smiling and she's just at those events she's really like timothy's plus one I feel like she really doesn't want to detract and so whether or not to me like knew she was that kylie was next to her is just like timothy's girlfriend like like it was it was a snub whether it was intentional or not I couldn't say I don't know her but you could see kylie felt snubbed and she like turns around and picks up her camera like I just know anyone who hurts Kylie like hurts me I know and things like this don't really happen to the Kardashians because like the main girls like Kim Khloe and Kris they know everyone like they are movers and shakers and they could go to the Grammys they could go to the Oscars like and they would know everyone like how sort of how the Met Gala became like Kardashian fest like they are very popular and well-liked amongst celebrities in all different industries whether it's music or film but Kylie definitely keeps to herself and and going to the Golden Globes now for the second year in a row.

31:44It's always like a step outside her comfort zone. She very much operates in like sort of the influencer-y type of space. So I felt really bad for her. And we're just not used to seeing the Kardashians in a position like this because every room they enter, like they are always the most well-known and even if not well-known, kind of popular. They're social people and they know everyone. They invite everyone to their holiday party. Like Kris is, she has her hand in everything. And like Kris has her own, and like each one of them has so many friends that together the whole family is friends with the whole industry.

32:12Yeah. But except Kylie, she's really like to herself. Yeah. So I don't know if there was like malicious intent, like I don't like Kylie Jenner, but like it was a - Let me tell you something. To me, Moore is almost 60 years old. She's not starting drama with Kylie Jenner. Like she was over, like she had just won. It was like this huge moment for her. She ran into somebody she knew. I think that it was like completely unintentional. Having said that, painful to watch. yeah the uh her daughter demi's daughter said hi at everyone but really press nipping this straight in the bed we bud we spent new year with l so connecting with her after a win was very organic thing to do this angel was in total shock and delight and moving throughout a warm room of well-wishers there was not a snub of any sort had she seen kj wanting to congratulate her she would have fully given her the time and space literally just give it all a break oh i'm so sorry not to make everything about me but i do feel like a personal reference would be helpful here i actually met Demi Moore like somewhat recently um she was asking me one million questions about like comedy and podcasting she was unbelievably nice it was very disarming I'm sorry I totally forgot that like I actually kind of where did you meet her I don't know her at a birthday party um turtle loo she I remember me and Ben were like dazzled by her and I wouldn't say like before she or her like big box office successes like predates my my time a little bit so I'm not super familiar i never saw like what's she in like kill bill like what's the thing that like gi jane yeah you know so i really wasn't familiar and i wasn't expecting to be dazzled beyond like she had literally no idea what i did for a living she was so curious genuinely she was like and as a woman that's amazing like she was so fucking nice and she has this like little dog that weighs half a pound that she brings everywhere with her i forgot she's unbelievably nice to like a nobody like me i'm telling you she didn't stop kylie oh my god not me forgetting my personal reference So do you think she just didn't know that was Kylie next to her and just thought it was like a rando?

34:07I think there was like, like she didn't even care to turn around. It couldn't have been anyone. Like she was so excited about her win and it's this big night for her and she ran into this girl that she loves. Like I just think of all the things happening in front of her, it was too much to even look to the left. Okay. That's what I think. And you know what? I'm trusting my fave. Okay. Love that. Yeah. Also from the Golden Globes, little part two is that Kate Beckinsale and Matt Reif were spotted kissing at Netflix's Golden Globes bash. Yes they were I saw that before I went to bed last night and I was I was disturbed.

34:36You was disturbed. Let me say something. I don't like Matt Reif and not for the reasons that like everybody does like he made a joke about like people on the spectrum and people found it offensive like a joke is a joke like I actually don't care. I just like find him annoying like his face and so I also don't understand like how he rose to fame so quickly I just like none of it makes sense to me so I'm not like championing him if you know what I mean also he notoriously was not very nice to Brooke Schofield former toast guest so I stand with my girl Brooke um so I'm just not I'm not like I'm not a champion of his and so I don't like to see him winning honestly like that's it yeah that's a win for him they also had dated in the past and then when she started dating Pete Davidson he like told Pete to be careful so there's like weird history and no and Jackie Brooke Schofield is involved in some capacity like before he really really blew up like I think she was dating him and he literally pretended like he didn't know who she was like something really crazy she's talked about it on a bunch of podcasts I can't remember if she talked about it on the toast but I feel like I would remember so no um it's like a weird story he like he gives me really bad vibes yeah people really love him though like his fans oh okay well that's good yeah so I just feel like it's like you either are one of his fans or like you you'd really dislike him or to me like apathetic yeah no thoughts yeah yeah yeah I happen to really like Kate Beckinsale you've met her too I have met her too and she's unbelievably cool like yeah fucking like we were at a restaurant sorry I have to tell the story and she was driving home and she we were at Craig's so like you know there's paparazzi outside and she was like do you want to lift home and I was like duh because my hotel was right by her house and she was like okay and I was like oh man I'm literally gonna be walking out of crags like with Kate Beckinsale the paparazzi's gonna go nuts but she's Kate Beckinsale she literally had like a special exit like with an umbrella and in the back and like the car we drove right past paparazzi nobody even saw us I was like oh this is great thanks thanks for the ride are you ready for our next story yeah which is three number three yeah confirmation that Zendaya and Tom Holland are engaged details are merging about the betrothal so they are engaged a family source confirmed to people TMZ was the first to report the news according to the outlet he proposed at one of Zendaya's family homes over the holidays a source told people that everyone close to them knew an engagement was happening just not when the source said that he had been keen to propose to Zendaya for a while he they said he's always been crazy about her he always knew she was the one they have something very special they give paige and craig like the guy just being so obsessed with the girl like it's up to the girl when the timeline you know i think he would have married her years ago i sort of thought of these two as like in a permanent like domestic partnership very kurt and uh goldie and kurt yeah i wasn't on like ring watch me neither i just felt like but i guess that's what happens like you either get married or you break up or sometimes you just stay as you are but like right most of the time it goes one way or the other so this is really exciting news that we weren't even like waiting didn't even have on our list I feel like all these people do like predictions yeah you're like this should have been a prediction but yeah they're just so settled and everybody's so like used to them and they're so in love and they're so private that I don't even think about their timeline at all but then it makes you think about Kylie and Timothy right yeah because they're together two years now Kylie's also never been married and she is like a relationship girl and they will either like maybe they wouldn't get married just because there's so much at stake but have children together yeah maybe she wants more kids if this is her man like that's what they're gonna do that's really crazy I know but it feels like really I wouldn't even say all this before Zendaya and Tom because I just feel like they're the two that could be private and date forever and we'll literally never see them on a red carpet together no reporters ever allowed to ask questions about the other yeah I feel like if they have a big wedding which I don't even think that they will like we'll never even see a photo of it not even like a Vogue exclusive yeah they're like too big for that I saw a funny tweet that was like because she's such a fashion girly like can you imagine the phone calls like her and Law Roach must be getting now that everyone knows she's engaged like I know she has her deals so like Louis Vuitton right right but she could have any designer in the entire world like begging at her feet to make a wedding dress like who would she go with even though I feel like they're literally like courthouse like Carrie wearing her suit and the bride were addressed by no one.

39:06No, I feel like they'll have a wedding. It's not going to be like a huge new, probably overseas. Yeah. Well, the way that TMZ is reporting that they got engaged was like also like really sweet, intimate family. It was like at Zendaya's family home over the holidays, really intimate, like no drama, no big fireworks. And that's, they're just, they're such the real deal. Yeah. And I know they give us nothing and I respect that entirely. There's literally that one picture of them that she's taking like a mirror photo of him and her in his Spider-Man costume. And they use that for every press article because there's not a single other photo of them.

39:38I would love to just see like something, you know, like they give us nothing. I feel like she probably thinks she's not going to do the big wedding because they're like so private, whatever. But like you do get carried away when you're a bride. It's easy to get caught up. She's just a girl, you know? And I still, I don't think that means she's going to have a 300 person crazy wedding. But like you're getting married. So you want a wedding dress. Of course you want the best, nicest dress made by Christian Dior himself. Right, even if it's like, you know, a casual dress. Yeah, even if it's for a beachside wedding.

40:10I could see them doing that, by the way. And then you get the dress, and then you need the wedding to accompany the dress. Well, that's literally the premise of Sex and the City. Like, once you get the venue, and what does she say to big? You play poker, right? The dress up the ante. Like, yeah, it's easy to get carried away. But I just want to say, like, that happens. That's real. because then you have this insane dress and you're like more people need to see it it needs to be it needs to be in this place she's completely valid for that the only mistake she made and it was literally her fatal flaw nail in her coffin was she so did not read the man she was she didn't know the guy she was married marrying at all like because if you did you would know that this would really be like a turnoff to him and he was visibly getting like more distant more angry and she just ignored it i have a fairy dress like grow up big dope energy dandaya would never do that like she and by the way tom holland would do anything to make her happy whatever kind of wedding you want right he would do and that's the difference like big was like a piece of shit who like if carrie wanted something and it made her so happy he didn't give a fuck like that didn't move the needle for him at all literally the day that he proposed her she should have taken him down to the courthouse and married him because like she should have known that his gun behind his back no it's like oh you're feeling like marriage today let's do it today because tomorrow who knows it's so true so that was her fatal flaw like you can't nobody could get mad at her of course and then the library like it was so and it's so new york and she's so fabulous and it was her first wedding no matter how old you are like it's always exciting but her problem was she had no idea who she was marrying or she did like seriously didn't care and she also like lost the plot completely next story number four are you ready very exciting news for everyone because shark tank's kevin o 'leary says that he's nearing a deal to buy tiktok okay i saw this shark tank's kevin o 'leary has plans to purchase TikTok during an appearance on the story with Martha McCollum on Monday.

41:59He expressed interest in acquiring ownership of the social media platform before it faces a ban in the U.S. on January 19th. So is TikTok going away on January 19th if nothing happens? Okay I feel like everybody's being really dramatic because what's not being said about January 19th and President Trump has said like he like well he'll help like he doesn't want TikTok out like he's gonna figure it out. So everybody's being really dramatic being like follow me on Instagram you're never going to see me again um but also if it's not going away let's say you know nobody can save it right and everything happens on January 19th all that means is that it's not going to be available in the app store anymore so if you already have it downloaded the app will still work like it just it can't grow but if you have it you can keep posting on it and engaging with it oh interesting yeah so sure no but that's what I heard that's the vibe well I just want I feel like the sale of TikTok has literally been in the conversation since 2020 and that there's like serious privacy issues with the app and it needs to be under new ownership where like those things would be taken care of and I just want to say like I nominate Kevin O 'Leary if Kevin O 'Leary buys TikTok I will join how about that so I'm reading because I just wanted to like uh fact check myself okay so Trump has urged the Supreme Court to postpone the impending ban which is set to take effect on January 19th.

43:19You become president when? On the 20th. January 20th, yeah. Maybe we'll have one day without the talk. That would be crazy. It'll be like those Lisa Frank memes. The dolphins are jumping. The rainbows are out. Right, it'll be one day. Productivity and mental health through the roof. So the app is going to be removed. The GDP goes up. The app is going to be removed from the app store. But like that's it. the app itself okay yeah okay well then i guess it would like be like uno reverse when the reason why tiktok is upset because it'll because the app will now become unavailable to half the country that doesn't already use the app so if you already use it you should just download it just in case um not without the sale and ending the support service a quote this is tiktok statement will cripple the platform in the u.s and make it unusable i don't know if that's true but if it can't grow i could see it like dying off phone if you get a new phone yes so eventually it would die off interesting well i think tiktok needs new ownership and i think kevin o 'leary would be amazing say what do you think about kevin i'm a big kevin fan um having said that i didn't realize he was like you know liquid like that like i know he's got a couple billion but how i see things like doesn't TikTok cost like billions like more than that yeah well he would have like partners and putting together a team but he also would need the support of Trump to get it through and be able to be the one well I feel like Kevin O 'Leary has been like kind of political recently like I've seen him on the news a lot I feel like he's like trying to like start a new sort of part of his career like a little bit more like a little bit more serious um and this is a kind of a good step I think he wants to like get in with the admin with the admin oh the administration yeah oh interesting and I think this is like a step in the right direction and I'm sure he has a lot of wealthy friends who like would be down it's a good investment TikTok is like a very successful business so if you can get the money to buy it like you should so I'm sure he has like a couple of uh couple of other billionaires who are more quiet sort of silent angel investors yeah because people would want to buy it I mean if I had the money I think it's pretty sound investment people love it it's like you can't stop the growth yeah oh so like kind of countdown to January 19th this will be interesting I didn't realize like people have been talking about it but I kind of checked out because I'm not on the app yeah and people literally have been saying this for five years so like I know it's boy who cried wolf they've literally been saying it's banned and still be it did not spend like one it did not spend one day being banned so I've moved on with my life um interesting we just have another like checkpoint coming up that we have to get past who knows what's gonna happen January 19th right okay I have a lot of like little countdowns also molly may's documentary january 17th right megan markle's show this right we also working on a personal project january 28th i don't know if you know about that i am yeah we're working on a personal project you obviously don't look at the timeline that was sent to you yesterday oh yes oh sorry i didn't realize that i didn't it that's sort of like it's not a hard day don't you find i'm kind of in flux no i'm actually like counting on it being a hard launch i need to find and Megan's date because I just keep alluding to it.

46:35Yeah, I actually went on Netflix last night to like see if I could watch it and it wasn't there. It's this week. Hold on. I'm getting to the end of the trailer. Oh, I watched the Avicii documentary on Netflix. I think you would like it. I watched an Avicii documentary in the past before and I really liked it. January 15th. Okay, longer than I thought for Megan. This one is narrated by Veach and they have amazing footage. Eventually, obviously, like at some point it stops being narrated by him. but Ben is like such a big Avicii and like house music fan so I thought it was like a good pop culture thing that we could agree on and I really enjoyed it and I learned quite a bit and honestly if anybody watches tell me if you also walked away like this one of my takeaways which is like seriously the most irrelevant part like Chris Martin like was a part of the problem.

47:19Not a part of the problem that's like an overstatement but they're talking about these different phases of Avicii's life and there's like a huge phase where he's just genuinely unhappy making music that's like not good and not like from his soul and he's just saying yes to everything because he's so in demand he's on tour he's just it's classic fame yeah destroyed and the person they bring in to talk about the time working with them during working with Avicii during that time is Chris Martin and Chris Martin's like talking about how oh sky full of stars it's amazing it's amazing but in the context of the documentary it's like the worst time in Avicii's life it's like he's putting out you know less than stellar music and it's like Chris Martin's over here being like it was so fabulous and he was so busy and it's like well actually that was like the worst time of Avicii's life that was right before he like sort of crashed out decided to stop doing live performances took a ton of time off and then came back like much healthier so I was like Chris Martin yikes I don't know if he knew like in the context of the timeline like he was gonna be like sort of the face of the bad part yeah but then also a doc the doc he's saying he was making like bad music because he was at a low point but Sky Full of Stars is like one of the biggest songs ever yeah not bad music but just like not what and the the documentary really shows like obviously he really started with like house and edm but like this was a person who was so supremely talented at all music like he ended up being like just as big of a producer for other people very like ryan tedder um than he was as a dj himself and so he loved country music and he loved bluegrass like he he could have written anything house was just how he like fell into music when he was a teenager and he realized like as his career progressed it wasn't even his passion so much like DJing and things like that it was just making music any type of music that he thought like he worked with Niall Rogers he worked with country soul and during the Chris Martin time it was just like everybody wanted to work with him so he would just say yes to everyone and like bang out a song in a couple of hours like it wasn't meaningful it wasn't from his soul you know yeah yeah he was really insecure about the fact that he didn't play any instruments like super well so that was something he was actively working on interesting maybe I will watch it but I do I feel like the last time in Avicii.com came out like it was a really really good one um and I still have to finish it's so sad I've been watching Aaron Rodgers I was telling you I watched two episodes so far um compelling that A-Raj yeah he's he's an interesting guy I like that he's an interesting guy okay so the ayahuasca stuff like it's not really for me so but it's it's a necessary part of understanding him so here we go but like going on a three-day ayahuasca trip here the fuck we go it's just like not my favorite sort of stuff to watch understood are you ready for our fifth and final story is it our fifth and final story that is brought to you by two faced cosmetics it is okay so really excited to be working with two faced again if you want to give your pout a powerful plump through the kiss of a dewy high shine color do it with the Lip Injection Extreme Plumping Clicks, the new nourishing lip balm stick that melts on for intense hydration and shine with a fresh strawberry scent.

50:19So with just one click, you'll get the perfect amount of product every time. And this instant plumping lip balm stick is moisturizing and delivers eight hour hydration. Plus it comes in eight shades. The thing I love about this product, I feel like I need 11 different lip products at all times, like one for a good shade, one for hydration, one for shine. And this is one product that does it all because it has like a really delicious scents and really uh pretty shades so it can complement whatever your skin tone is it's super hydrating so you don't need to put like a chapstick on top and then it's also really shiny and beautiful so you don't need to put like a gloss on top so I like especially when you're carrying a little purse a product that does all the things in one like that's part g to me and that that I appreciate because sometimes I can barely fit a credit card in these little purses let alone like a lip liner getting smaller and smaller so it's available in eight shades sweet lavender which is like a sheer lavender perfect pink which is a strawberry pink, On Point, which is a cherry red, Don't Be Chai, which is a soft shimmering nude, Velvet Crush, which is a mid-tone nude brown, Kiss the Bride, which is a cool mauve nude, Feeling Spicy, which is a warm reddish brown, very good for like fall vibes, and Voted Most Popular, which is obviously named after me, which is a fuchsia pink.

51:22And so today we're going to play a little Would You Rather game all about making bold choices, just like the bold color payoff that you get with two-faced pumping clicks. With every click, you get vibrant, pumping color that lasts. So Jackie, would you rather with the theme of the on point shade, would you rather always have your makeup on point or always have your hair on point? I think makeup. I think so too. Kiss the bride, which is their shade. Would you rather attend a wedding for a friend that is local or one for a friend that is a destination wedding? At this today, at this junction, local wedding sounds pargy.

51:56I love the fun of a wedding. I'm not in a traveling state of mind. In the spirit of make it spicy shade would you rather add spicy elements to a chili or a beef stew? A chili. I know spicy beef stew sounds unique. Would you rather spend a quiet Sunday afternoon sipping chai tea and reading your favorite book or unwind with a hot cup of chai while watching your favorite tv show? So this really just depends on my mood. Yeah but I'm gonna go book. We're trying to read more this year. Chai tea and book. I love a chai tea i feel like people don't know that about me perfect pink would you rather wear the perfect pink flat or the perfect pink heel to dinner with friends dinner with friends flat yeah okay i'm in agreement like flat i'm with my friends who am i trying to impress you know no it takes a lot for me to wear a heel these days literally only chisno would you rather relax with a lavender scented bubble bath or enjoy a calming lavender face mask hmm maybe bubble bath maybe i'm gonna go bubble bath what about you bath obviously velvet crush would you rather wear a velvet dress or a velvet two-piece set on a date night obviously they don't know us we don't do two-piece sets you guys like i love a set but in velvet i guess in velvet i'm gonna go dress actually i couldn't see that i couldn't see it working in the second you get like velvet skin velvet no matter which scenario you're feeling two faced pumping clicks have a shade to match every mood and with just one click you'll instantly get plump and hydrated lips shop two face lip injection extreme pumping clicks now yes i am ready for the fifth and final story thank you the fifth and final story so ben and j-lo have settled their divorce and no one is paying spousal support so ben and j-lo um i think we already knew this but i was shocked once again did not have a prenup in this little trip of theirs um but they have settled their divorce like totally amicably in a nutshell they each walk away with what they have individually Individually acquired during the marriage.

53:42The money Ben earned from his various movie projects is his. And the same goes for J-Lo. What she earned during their two-year marriage. And neither will pay spousal support to one another. What is most notable though is that Ben started his very successful production company. Artists Equity in 2022 while he was married to J-Lo. And he will be keeping all of that. Even though she technically. She could have. Yeah. But she didn't. They're both so individually successful. Like it's fine. You know. Yeah. No it's fine. but you really just want to get out of the marriage and like put this chapter behind you like don't go right but you would think that that would happen more often and like because it's so amicable it's like they they must have had some sort of like unspoken prenup and they really trusted each other and no one hurt the other badly enough to want to hurt them back no and this is nice to hear I was just watching a tiktok video apparently um like Halle Berry has like one of the worst track records for like spousal support and settlements that she's had to pay she's been in four relationships three of them marriages but the fourth she has a child with the person so she She pays child support.

54:41And oh my God, this video was just breaking my heart. I'm surprised she doesn't work more. Like she's literally, she gave so much money in settlements to her ex-husband. Right, but what's the point in working if you have to give it all away? Devastating. The more she works, the more she has to give. My heart was breaking for her in this video. It was like an AI generated video. Do you know Halle Berry's crazy divorce? And I was like, no, I don't. Let's watch. And I agree. I'm shocked that this doesn't happen more within Hollywood where like marriage is sort of like Like this flimsy thing. Everybody has their own individual businesses.

55:12Success. Like, yes, some people are way more wealthy than others. But with a marriage like this, a lot of people marry people who are like of equal value. And so I'm surprised this doesn't happen more. Especially if you just want to like not drag it through the courts, not go through mediation. Like just by, sometimes those celebrities marry nobodies, i.e. Harley Barry. Like people who don't even have jobs. And then you're in trouble. Yeah. No, I actually, I thought this was quite remarkable. It was mediated by Laura Wasser, who's like the divorce attorney to the stars. However, it just seemed like she was also just spotted JLo going to Ben's house like hours before this.

55:45So everything is like really good. Why did they get married and why did they get divorced? I don't know. This remains like one of the weirdest sagas, like how he was engaged to her, married Jennifer Garner, divorced Jennifer Garner, married JLo, divorced JLo. And now they're all best friends. Yeah. And all their kids seem to like really get along. and they seem to like have really good like step parent relationships like even j-lo after being split from ben was spotted with some of ben and jen's kids which is weird because like you weren't a stepmom to them for that long like you could move on no it is extremely quizzling yeah in a good way like this is nice like kind of sort of utopic utopian we're just using like a bunch of words i don't even know if quizzling is the right word i feel like the Quizzling is not.

56:31No, I feel like quizzling, like you mean like confusing. Traitor, collaborator. Oh, no. Like you meant like puzzling. Yeah. Puzzling. Puzzling. The source. Finding the right words these days is just not my strong suit. I know. But at least you have an excuse. Like I really don't. It's so true. It's incredibly mystifying. I love that. The whole situation. Are you on thesaurus.com? Yes. And I find it a bit unfathomable, if I'm being honest, how bewildering this could all be. Bewildering. That's a really good word here. Yeah, it's pretty incomprehensible. Jackie, I find it guffawing, if I'm being honest.

57:08I'm really perplexed. Our show is not over yet because it is Tuesday, which these days means Dear Toasters, our weekly advice segment where you guys write in and we do our best to help you out with what you're going through. I will say like at the end of last year, I felt the girlies were going through a lot, but it's also the time of year. And I just want to say, based on the submissions that I read through this morning, like the girlies are okay. They find themselves in like kind of funny like pickles. Like a lot of these made me chuckle. None of the circumstances are dire. And for that, like I think it's good.

57:34We needed a break because Deer Toasters takes a lot on us too. Got heavy. We carry those loads. So if you ever want to write in, it's deertoasters at gmail.com or head over to our website, thetoastpodcast.com. Scroll down. There's a little submission box. Both ways are completely anonymous and we'd love to help you out. Hey, Swirlies. The craziest thing happened to me and am I okay and am I in the wrong? I went out the night before Thanksgiving, as usual, blacked out. A guy who I've liked for a really long time and now is recently single took me home from the bar by choice, like I was fine, and I was absolutely obliterated.

58:06I passed out in his bed, then threw up in my sleep and obviously in his bed. He went nuts. He went off on me. He screamed, texted me. He ordered an Uber using my Apple wallet, sent me away by myself. I threw up in the Uber and the next morning he sent me a link to a remote that I threw up on and said, buy it. Am I crazy or is this man nuts? Sincerely a toaster who had just had the spins and low key still has a crush. Okay, so many things to say. First of all, even if he didn't act so horribly, like we're writing him off because he's a bad person, like not compassionate whatsoever. Like when this happens, it's really hard to come back from.

58:43So even if you still liked him and he handled it like kind of well, like it's kind of hard for him to see you. Sometimes I remember, like I heard some stories about like people like, oh, and they fell in love, like never fucking happens. No, it's true. But now let's talk about the fact, like run for your life. Like this man is a horrible person. Like when you go to a bar and you bring home someone like that is drunk, this is not out of the realm of possibility. It's true. People get sick. Like don't. Especially on Blackout Wednesday. That is so crazy. Like I don't even want you to buy the remote, but then like he's going to hate you forever.

59:11But like you need to. He's such a dick. You need to hate him back. I hate him. To be clear, like you throwing up in his bed and on his shit, like it's so annoying for him. Like I'm sympathetic. Like you came to my house and you shit everywhere. Like, but I feel like this reminds me of the book. Do you ever read The Hating Game? no so they're like these two co-workers who hate each other and they're like on like a company trip and the girl gets really sick like he's like death's door and the guy who like she hates is like so sweet and compassionate and like that's why she falls in love with him whatever and like how people treat you when they're sick is like a real testament to like the type of people they are and like obviously it's not always you know beautiful and comfortable when someone's sick they're vomiting sharding whatever and the fact that this guy's initial reaction was so fucking nasty like this is not a compassionate person this is not the type of person you want to be in a relationship with so i the fact that you still like him like you need to work on that like 1000 to work on that and like he doesn't like you he didn't take care of you and worse than just like being like and not being like sweet about it that he was mean about it like it's not a nice person that's not your person so like you need to like actually forget him starting today to get mad like no like mean yeah yeah but like what don't even message him being mad like because mad requires like you need to like forget him him ordering an uber like and making you pay for it like and putting you in an uber so drunk like that like sick and it's it's just like that's bad that's not a good guy agreed agreed and you know it's important to find the lesson right i know and i feel like sometimes when you're so close to it and like when you're in that stage of your life like you don't realize how serious these things are and you're just like oh my god i was drunk and it's a like crazy thing that happened but like us being you know the grannies i could have put you in danger look at the situation like that's a bad situation agreed and that's a bad guy.

1:00:51I agree. Hey Swirlies, major crisis situation. My boyfriend that's about to move in with me told me he snooped through my iPad and found text messages between me and my girlfriends where we were talking about guys I dated before and around the months that I first matched with my now boyfriend on Hinge. He asked me a ton of questions about it. It was seemingly fine. He said everything was fine and it should be since we were not in a relationship at the time but he then disclosed that he found old nudes of mine in my camera roll the next day and I'm seriously pissed now. If I wanted him to see those photos I would have sent them to him.

1:01:18I feel like a serious boundary has been crossed while I was willing to forgive the text message snooping, but this seems to be on the verge of unforgivable. Am I overreacting? Help me. P.S. He did apologize and admit it was wrong to do and he promised that it would never happen again, but how can I trust him now? That's really icky. Yeah, and like a man being mad at a girl for anything she did before they were in a relationship is actually psychotic behavior. Like, and I feel like it's a really big red flag. Yeah. To like other, like maybe problematic behavior down the line, like controlling or freaky.

1:01:48and I don't like this man. I know. And so like. And who snoops two days in a row? Like chill. Now you need to evaluate other stuff about him. Because as we always say, like if this is the one wrong thing he did in a perfect person, everyone has a bad moment and makes mistakes. Of course. But like this is just pointing to controlling behavior. Someone who's like very not trusting and maybe he has a history of someone who was like cheating on him. And so now he looks through their phone because he's like paranoid. But that's his problems and he can't be in a healthy relationship if he's going to be acting that way and he's not healthy.

1:02:20So you really need to. I also feel like he was like testing you a little bit. Like you had this seemingly like innocuous conversation about like, you know, old relationships. I don't know enough that they're about to move in together. Right. But it's like, how does the fact that the first iPad, the first conversation you had was about like, you know, nothing, you didn't do anything wrong. Right. Like I feel like he was like testing you and the fact that like he sort of got away with snooping. He then the next day like took it to he feels like he's kind of like advancing in his fucking craziness.

1:02:55And I don't know. I don't know if I want to stick around to see what happens next. Yeah. It does not bode well. Yeah. And like if you guys are moving in together say you've been dating like someone he's looking back at text from in pictures from like over a year over two years. What? Yeah. Agreed. That's a crazy person. It's crazy behavior. What led him to do that like craziness in his own mind. and I also feel like how you react to the snooping will set the tone for any future snooping so I would have like a strong reaction to this I would like stop the lease rip it up agreed and also I won't live with someone who doesn't trust me and violates my privacy this is a person who like you are intimate with and like obviously has seen you naked like it's still such an invasion of privacy to like go through someone's nudes even if it's like someone you have sex with every day rip up the lease agreed this third and final toaster is like actually made me chuckle okay finally hey hey girls, help.

1:03:45I just broke up with a boy I was dating for three months. As I'm breaking up with him, he bursts into tears saying I'm ruining his life. And I come to find out he has delayed his graduation to stay in town with me. He has a freaking engagement ring and put down a down payment on a wedding venue that his whole family gets married at. Like he's obviously crazy, but I just feel really bad. And his family is now blowing up my phone. What do I do? You run so fast. You get on your running sneakers and you start running. Like the engagement, who gets engaged married three months you didn't even like him so he thought all of that was happening with him engagement when the energy you were giving him was impending breakup run don't feel bad feel glad feel glad that you just had a hunch and broke up with this guy and it turned out he's a crazy person bullet dodge like sometimes when you break up with somebody after a long time and like their mom calls you like that's actually it's weird it's not inappropriate and then depending on the relationship but seriously like family members of a guy who you dated for three months calling you not only is he crazy he actually comes from a crazy family and you need to stock you need to actually like thank your lucky stars because like that could have been your family yeah like you walked away from the relationship start running

1:04:57oh my god chuckle see i told you the girls are okay like they're okay yeah i don't know the first two like made me sad um deertoasters at gmail.com that's the email you can write in i'm off to get my coccidinia healed so maybe by the time you see me tomorrow even though i think today's just like a consultation i might be a different person you never know i might get rid of this fucking pillow wow i got rid of mine i just didn't bring it back after the break and even though the pillow was never really helping me it's just like something squishy to sit on always nice always nice it wasn't curing anything thank you guys so much for listening to the just a morning show we deliver the fast stories you need to know every Monday the Friday on YouTube so if you're watching us on YouTube please don't forget to subscribe and give this video a thumbs up or also available as a podcast and where podcasts can be found and so it's Spotify, iTunes, Stitcher, and I'll give you a podcast.
