In short
The episode is a Friday “Fast Five” roundup from The Toast, anchored by the 25th anniversary of 9/11 (Sept 11, 2026). Hosts discuss how the day felt in the moment versus how it’s understood now, and push back against conspiracy theories (e.g., “controlled demolition,” “hologram,” “drone,” “Bush did it”). They highlight the passenger revolt on United 93 and argue against claims it was shot down, citing interviews about fighter-jet interception plans and George W. Bush initially thinking hijacked planes might be taken down. They also share personal/NYC memories of evacuation, smoke, and Coast Guard-style evacuations of nearly a million people, plus the role of early cell phones/voicemails and first responders. Notable examples include the “2001 live” minute-by-minute Twitter account, the United 93 film, and James Woods reporting suspicious behavior that was later linked to Muhammad Atta.

0:08Claudia Oshry:It's Jackson Claude and we're your hosts.
0:13Jackie Oshry:It's your favorite show. The fast five things you need to know. We'll start your day off swirly. It's the toast. I sound amazing. welcome back to the toast and happy friday it's the final friday of the year if you're a jewess
0:31Claudia Oshry:i guess so yeah the jewish new year starts this evening starts tonight which is very exciting
0:37Jackie Oshry:today is a very heavy i feel terrible i feel terrible today is the 25th anniversary of 9-11
0:43Claudia Oshry:i was actually running so late this morning because i was just getting all of this 9-11 content i don't know if you've seen or if people liz woods put me onto this twitter page called like 2001 live and it's basically a twitter account they make them for like 50 years ago 100 years ago but it like live tweets the day as if it were September 10th 2001 and they're doing September 11th minute by minute tweets like as it happened and I've been watching like just so much 9-11 content last night I was just watching like all these like docu little docu videos on Instagram and I feel like I get this sort of content every year and it's just like shocking.
1:23Claudia Oshry:No matter how many times I've seen it, but I also feel like I'm seeing more stuff than I have in the past. And I feel like this year there's really like, maybe I didn't understand this prior, but like the way that people experienced it in the moment is now so different from how we see it in hindsight. Like when the first plane hit the tower, people were not sure that it wasn't an accident.
1:47Jackie Oshry:That's why people say, and it's so true, like 9-11 really marks like the loss of innocence in our country because if something like that happened now, we'd be like, whodunit. Like we would know that we were being attacked. People really, really believe that it was an accident. Like the plane lost control because, and it wasn't until clearly the second plane got hit that it was like, oh no my God, like somebody did this on purpose. And that's why like 9-11 makes me so sad for so many reasons. but I feel like there are people walking around now who like either lived through it or like learned about it and to have lived through it and to have known, even though I was only like 10 or 11, no, sorry, seven, to have experienced life before and life after there's such a marked difference in culture in our country.
2:29Jackie Oshry:And it just like marks this, like really, I think like turning point, bad turning point for our country. And I think there's like a lack of understanding about it now. Cause there are so many people who just weren't there. And I was talking to Ben this morning.
2:42Claudia Oshry:And there's so much garbage on the internet, like conspiracy theories, everything that they see now. Is it AI? Like, no, it's not AI. It was Israel. Oh, of course. It was.
2:52Jackie Oshry:Bush did 9-11.
2:53Claudia Oshry:Like, it's a joke and it's literally not funny. Or it was like a hologram.
2:58Jackie Oshry:Right.
2:59Claudia Oshry:Or a drone. I was talking to Ben this morning. Or it was a drone. Or it was a controlled demolition. So I've seen so many videos of like, because of all the smoke and everything, when the buildings collapse, like you can't actually see the buildings collapse. So people are like, it's a control demolition.
3:11Jackie Oshry:But I've seen now like simulations of low IQ individuals of how the buildings did probably
3:17Claudia Oshry:fall, but you can't see through all the clouds and dust. And it's just like makes me really mad about all the conspiracy theories. I also feel like there's one conspiracy theory that people sort of just like assume to be true at this point, which I might have thought. But then I saw something yesterday, another piece of information that I didn't know about United 93.
3:36Jackie Oshry:I can't watch that movie. I've only seen it once and it's seriously, it changed me.
3:41Claudia Oshry:So United 93 was the passenger jet that was hijacked that was headed for DC.
3:45Jackie Oshry:They aren't sure where. Yeah.
3:47Claudia Oshry:And the passengers like rebelled and they were able to, to like get in the cockpit and then the hijackers just slammed the plane into the ground and they all died, but they saved whatever destination that they were headed for. And people sort of say like that, that plane was shot out of the sky because no one would have allowed a passenger jet that would known to be hijacked to hit the white house or just like flying around and crash anywhere like they did crash into a field and i was like oh i guess like maybe that would be true but two things i learned yesterday one i saw an interview from a woman whose job it was to get into a fighter i saw that too the blonde lady take down united 93 that she like it was going to be two fighter jets she was going to hit the tail and the other one was going to hit the cockpit and they were suiting up and getting into their jets and then the plane went down so like I feel like the story that we know is the truth and then I also saw an interview with George Bush where when he heard United 93 went down like for the first 10 minutes he thought that it it was taken down because he had authorized that he had authorized like any passenger plane that's like been known to be hijacked like we have to take them down of course which is a hard decision to make of course and so when he heard United 93 went down he thought that they did it and it wasn't until like 10 minutes later that it was found out that the passengers did it so I
5:05Jackie Oshry:feel like you've never seen that movie you guys it is it's it's like it is the saddest movie I've ever seen in my whole life Peter Herman Will Arnett like every actor in that movie I just
5:16Claudia Oshry:love them for doing that and the guy who Peter Herman plays I think it's Todd Beamer who would like let's roll let's roll um I saw a video by his dad yesterday and it was just like it was really beautiful but it was also just like shaming people who think America deserve 9-11 like just people he said you're not American if you yeah if you think that if you say that you have every right to say whatever you want but that's not American I'm actually going to the World Trade Center later today um Ben and I were talking this morning because you always think
5:50Jackie Oshry:about like your own experience and I feel like we talk about it every year like being pulled from school and everything but we were on long island ben was in the city he was on 84th street and i was just like asking a million questions and he was like we were walking everywhere like he lived thankfully like walking distance from school he was like when we were walking home from school there was smoke everywhere i'm like really all the way up on 80 whatever street like 100 blocks uptown that morning he was like yeah it was insane like for weeks yeah also something
6:15Claudia Oshry:that i didn't realize is like so the north tower was hit first and then the people in the south tower were told to stay in place they like some people were trying to evacuate and they like were making announcements like stay put like the right because if it was only the north tower it's almost even more dangerous to be outside yes but they were getting like smoke in their building so some people just like overrode that and started to leave um but for a while before their tower was
6:40Jackie Oshry:hit they were being told to stay there's so many stories of like i mean that's why like you're saying you're getting so much content there's so many stories of just like everyday people i was just reading about um the boats i guess like almost a million people were evacuated manhattan is an island so they the coast guard put out a thing on the radio like dunkirk style to yes to every boat in you know in the region being like if you can get to southern manhattan were evacuating people they evacuated almost a million people on like the staten island ferry which is what pete davidson bought that staten island ferry um but like tugboats and people's yachts like yeah i saw the same video regular people um so yeah because you couldn't get out of lower manhattan like
7:24Claudia Oshry:obviously there's no subway people were abandoning their cars because of traffic so gridlock like the only way off at that point would be to go to the sea right or walk and you see videos of people like literally running uptown running across the bridge yeah um and it's actually like insane how
7:41Jackie Oshry:much footage there is given that it was 2001 like a lot of people there had cell phones and that's how they all like left voicemails there used to be um phones on planes remember like you could make like a landline to collect call um and there's so much of that there's like audio recordings there's 911 calls but it's crazy because it really wasn't even that like digital of an era
8:02Claudia Oshry:yeah it was just the beginning like enough for people to have cell phones right communicate but like not to really document it the way that it would be documented now yeah the voicemails i can't those like hey jules me like oh my god i saw i listened to a girl like calling her sister
8:20Jackie Oshry:yesterday it was just it's it's always a today this year in particular 25th anniversary like it does feel bigger and being in the city like it's so spooky it's and it's always a gorgeous day because that's what they say about 9-11 like it was the perfect day but then i heard from 2001
8:38Claudia Oshry:live that there was supposed to be a hurricane then like the day before the perfect the hurricane just past New York they were expecting like a cold flight cancellations yes but no it turned out to be a perfect day and then I also learned that Seth McFarlane was supposed to be on the flight from Boston I did know that I maybe I've heard that before but I but I didn't remember it that's it's crazy yeah that's crazy just shout out to the first responders like imagine seeing
9:10Jackie Oshry:the worst thing you've ever seen in your life like unimaginable unimaginable like tragedy horror fear people are running for their fucking lives uptown and like you're running downtown you're driving downtown like you're heading towards they're running down the stairs and you're running up it's a different breed of human yeah and these are people with like families at home
9:32Claudia Oshry:so today's 9-11 yeah so I would recommend um following along this account I think they're doing a really good job I don't know my whole feed everything maybe because I keep watching everything but I know I know you're you are enabling the more videos I watch the more they serve me no it's very compelling and I feel like the networks are getting new angles like I'm sure
9:55Jackie Oshry:you saw like the guys who cleaned the the 9-11 memorial pool and like their story oh yes I've seen them yeah like people are all the networks are like fighting to get like new and different stories and angles and you know what like I appreciate thousands of stories unfortunately And there will be a time, it reminds me of the Holocaust, where it's like there are so few survivors left. There won't be people around forever who lived through 9-11, let alone who were there.
10:18Claudia Oshry:Yeah. I heard from the ticketing agent who checked in the hijackers.
10:24Jackie Oshry:Oh, I didn't hear that. That's spooky as fuck.
10:27Claudia Oshry:Yeah. And he thought they looked sus. And then he checked himself internally. He's like, that's not politically correct.
10:34Jackie Oshry:Oh. And I mean, in the movie, they were acting suspicious as hell. that one guy was so nervous like yeah it's a lot of things maybe he looked like bulky underneath
10:43Claudia Oshry:yeah no not that just the way he looked um and he felt himself he felt himself like being in like politically incorrect improper he like checked himself and now he's like fuck that
10:53Jackie Oshry:like i should have trusted my gut wow it's also crazy to think about a life before tsa
10:58Claudia Oshry:right at the time there was nothing they boarded with knives which was legal did you just like
Read the full transcript
11:04Jackie Oshry:waltz onto a plane before 9-11. Not even like a metal detector.
11:08Claudia Oshry:They had metal detectors, but they weren't like scanning for the things that they scan for now. And now you can't even bring a bottle of water. Yeah.
11:15Jackie Oshry:And you know what? I feel like I'm always complaining about TSA. I know. Obviously, they have their problems. Of course, they are an imperfect organization. But you know what? On days like today. Thank you, TSA. I'll shut up.
11:30Claudia Oshry:Yeah. And I saw a really sad story about another lady who checked in for like a different flight who checked in the terrace and she took her own life
11:41Jackie Oshry:oh my god that's terrible yeah I've never heard that story yeah just like so that's what I mean
11:48Claudia Oshry:I feel like every year I see so much content like there's just more and more but like that's how many
11:52Jackie Oshry:it was thousands of people if you're ever in a New York City cab highly recommend chatting with your driver about like because a lot of these drivers are like older gentlemen who were around on 9-11 and like what they went through that day like so many of them like literally were like shuttles for cops for firefighters because there was like no way to get around if you were on the island like you couldn't get off vehicularly and you really couldn't get on the bridges were closed so if you were there with your car like a lot of them just got to work yeah i also saw like harvey
12:21Claudia Oshry:levin tmz like they did a documentary called the fifth plane and there's a theory but this seems like probably wait five planes two for the towers oh two for the towers united 93 93 pentagon but apparently like their documentary is about this fifth plane that was like delayed at jfk and they believe that there were hijackers on that plane and like whenever they got in the air that that something was going to happen they said like the fishiest stuff was happening and then they grounded all flights so like that flight never took off but who do they think the hijackers were like did they arrest them i don't know i would have to watch the documentary but that seems to make sense yeah yeah I'm sure there was like a lot of stuff like that and I'm sure you've seen the James Woods story the actor James Woods no okay James Woods is an actor in the summer of 2001 he was on a flight from the east coast to the west coast and he saw like some very suspicious behavior and he reported it and it turned out that it was like Muhammad Atta and it was a dry run for 9-11 and they were talking to each other and watching the pilots oh my god and like the night of 9-11 like the fbi showed up at his door to like ask him what he saw like they finally followed up on it um because he turned out to be right a little late yeah but he was right no but the thing
13:41Jackie Oshry:is like back in the day shit like that was unimaginable like now we're all suspicious oh that guy looks weird oh you know you go to a movie theater and you're like looking at it everyone it wasn't like that back in the day like shit like this didn't happen like so you sounded crazy and that's what I mean when I say like it's just literally after that day like yeah like the world is the country is just different ever like and things that are possible now like literally we're
14:06Claudia Oshry:just not possible then yeah I saw someone say and this is really how it felt like when you were in the 90s like and for everyone in the 90s but I feel like we probably felt this way as much as we could that like it felt like the end of history you know like when you read your history textbooks it's like the end of the cold war you close the book like and conflict is solved um and then like after 9-11 it's like you know hotter than ever yeah and like i think that was a major shift for people in how they thought about how they thought about the world yeah it was it's a loss of
14:39Jackie Oshry:innocence like really and like belief that like you know that good will prevail like it's just it's it's such an like it's an unimaginable evil like you can't even conjure up now we can because now like we're as americans we're hardened and like we we really see the worst in everyone and
14:57Claudia Oshry:everything yeah and it wasn't always like that no it like just set off like an evil period of time
15:04Jackie Oshry:I guess yeah and we're still in it and we're still in it oh well we're thinking of the victims and
15:12Claudia Oshry:the families and anyone who is affected by 9-11 like everyone has a story that like randomly
15:17Jackie Oshry:connects them to 9-11 yeah I have such a pit um so we will still do the show we won't be like such
15:25Claudia Oshry:a bummer no we'll still do the show like page pause in architectural digest like that that does like booing that like you know that helps helps i guess um and there are things we want to talk about shifting gears uh salamu premiered yesterday we haven't watched but we're gonna watch in time for a recap on monday we sort of like made that game plan and give you guys all time to watch apparently it's only five episodes oh well i guess like it was a transitional time for the
15:51Jackie Oshry:secret lives of the mormon wives so that makes sense and you know i live for short content um so that works for me i didn't i didn't start it yet but yes jackie and i made a commitment the official Salama season whatever this is recap will be here on Monday in full so everyone has the whole weekend to watch it I did watch U.S. Open semifinals so we have our female U.S. Open players final winner final players are set of course Arena Sevalenka of course and I forget the other girl's name Rubikina she beat Coco Gauff that was like sad because everyone last night was like rooting for Coco like America yada yada and um not to be she lost not to be and it's like the finals of the U.S.
16:31Jackie Oshry:Open it's like the number one player versus the number two player like uh like obviously I know that's how it works I feel like that never happens though it's always like some upstart well hopefully I think people are thinking that's what's going to happen for men's with Ben Shelton he's I think like number eight or whatever he would be technically the underdog so tonight
16:49Claudia Oshry:Number eight is not giving underdog. Like sometimes it's like a rookie, you know, playing Carlos Alcaraz. Like a random guy. Yeah.
16:56Jackie Oshry:I feel like tonight's going to be like so. So the men's semifinal is tonight. It's two Americans, Tiafoe versus Ben Shelton, like on 9-11 in New York. I feel like it's going to be like, I feel like it's going to be emotional night.
17:08Claudia Oshry:Yeah, for sure. That's the final game?
17:10Jackie Oshry:No, no, semifinals. But they're treating it like it's the finals because honestly, like, I don't know. He'll probably pay like the alleged woman beater. And it just won't hit the same. Zverev.
17:22Claudia Oshry:I don't know who that is.
17:24Jackie Oshry:I can't remember if he's Belgian or German. The flags are so similar. US Open reminded me yet again how few flags I know.
17:30Claudia Oshry:I think that's okay.
17:31Jackie Oshry:And don't ask me what the Russian flag looks like because all the Russian players don't get flags.
17:35Claudia Oshry:They get a big black X. They get a blue.
17:37Jackie Oshry:No, they get like a blue square. So like literally if you ask what the Russian flag is, it's a blue square. It's actually red, white, and blue stripes. No, that's France.
17:46Claudia Oshry:No, no, no. That's America. The stripes going the other way. There's one with the stripes going vertical. Let me see.
17:52Jackie Oshry:No, no. The stripes going vertical, red, white, and blue is France.
17:57Claudia Oshry:No, stripes going vertical, horizontal. No, stripes horizontal, red, white, and blue is Russia.
18:03Jackie Oshry:You lie. Oh my God. If you would have given me a thousand guesses, I never would have told you that's the Russian flag. Sort of like crushed it. Like I said, I know no flags.
18:14Claudia Oshry:But I feel like it's a recent flag. Because I would say like I'm a Russian history expert. That's why I know it, but that's not been their flag. Like, we know the Soviet flag. Oh, I guess that's why I don't know it. It's kind of newer. It is newer.
18:24Jackie Oshry:Do flags ever go through rebrands? Like, if the country doesn't, like, obviously, like, change its name and stuff.
18:28Claudia Oshry:Well, if we get another state, if we lose a state, we would get another star.
18:32Jackie Oshry:Oh, we'd have to get rid of a star. Mm-hmm.
18:35Claudia Oshry:But no, maybe other countries get, like, new flags, but I don't think.
18:39Jackie Oshry:You know my fun fact about flags, right?
18:41Claudia Oshry:No.
18:42Jackie Oshry:There's no purple ever in a flag.
18:45Claudia Oshry:That's not true. Because I did a crossword puzzle and it said like what country, it was like country with purple flag.
18:54Jackie Oshry:Now what I heard was that like you can't print purple on a flag. Like that was my fun fact. Are you sure? It appears in Dominica and Nicaragua.
19:03Claudia Oshry:Oh, but there's very little purple for Dominica, but Nicaragua is like all purple.
19:08Jackie Oshry:Well, they obviously didn't follow the rules because they're not supposed to according to my fun fact.
19:13Claudia Oshry:The crossword puzzle was with maroon. And what was it? I feel like it was like Qatar. I know.
19:20Jackie Oshry:Qatar. Is it purple? Maroon. Yeah. No, I'm telling you, there's something. OK, maybe I have my fact like a little off, but there's something with purple and flags that you're not supposed to do. Let's ask since we're here. Yeah, since we're talking about it.
19:34Claudia Oshry:What's the rule with purple and flags?
19:37Jackie Oshry:I actually don't want you to Google it because like maybe I'm making this up.
19:40Claudia Oshry:No, let's see where it's coming from for you. yeah I might just be like misremembering yeah you might just be you're not seeing anything a purple flag at the beach means that there's dangerous marine life that is true
19:58Jackie Oshry:um but you're not seeing you're not seeing anything besides that no it's all about beach safety that is interesting I'll have to do my own sort of research and let you guys know what I find
20:09Claudia Oshry:Yeah, yeah. No, there's definitely it's stemming from somewhere. But was that like your big flag anecdote? Purple?
20:15Jackie Oshry:No, not anecdote. It was like I told you I had a fun fact about flags. Turns out I don't. But I thought I did. I thought you said, did I tell you about this?
20:22Claudia Oshry:I forget how you framed it. It sounded like you had to memorize all the flags for school one year or something. No,
20:27Jackie Oshry:because God forbid I learned something useful. And you know what? I never learned that song that you alphabetically sing all the states in. Like for some reason, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas,
20:37Claudia Oshry:I never learned it. Connecticut.
20:41Jackie Oshry:And then like, I know like some of the hits, but I don't know.
20:44Claudia Oshry:We're going to leave it there.
20:46Jackie Oshry:I feel that is constantly affecting me.
20:53Claudia Oshry:How so? I don't know. I just. I feel like because you play a lot of trivia and stuff.
20:59Jackie Oshry:Just, I don't know. I think it's, I'm sure like subconsciously I know all the states, but if I were to list them, like I probably should do it in Patreon. Like how many of the, there's an episode of friends where where ross like challenges everyone to write down all 50 states okay they like they get stuck on 49 or they think they get 50 but they have florida twice and i'm like well if you knew the song like you could do it instantly 1000 that would i don't
21:22Claudia Oshry:know this song all the way through i feel like i could write down all 50 states do you not feel
21:28Jackie Oshry:like patreon we should do that in patreon okay do you not feel like you could like if you had the time and well the episode of friends is like obviously we all know the states but do you like subconsciously it might actually be difficult to put pen to paper okay we're gonna do it i love patreon patreon um wait there was one more oh i did want to thank everyone for the outpouring of love and support for romeo um he heard like all your cry and the funny thing is ben was like it's not a big deal like because we were planning on like leaving romeo there for like a week or two so but ben was like by the time we pick him up like we don't have to see him this way but i forgot
22:00Claudia Oshry:we're going there for rosh hashanah so it's gonna be staring you right in the face yeah kind of unavoidable take another picture maybe it's like better in person
22:09Jackie Oshry:uh i told you that maddie ben's sister went and she was like it's worse in person yeah yeah yeah he's like a naked mole rat yeah so that's it's kind of a tough start to the year for romeo but i guess like it could only go up yeah no hair grows back is the thing oh oh my god you didn't even mention my haircut i cut off three inches yesterday does it look different i did sure you did i literally did it looks great but it always looks great the place looks great well i told her like i come in and i'm so annoying i'm like i need like a total like i need to look exactly the same but we have to cut a lot of hair off and then i'm like but not that much so i did i cut three inches but my hair was really growing so if you guys are wondering like what looks different about
22:52Claudia Oshry:me today that is what it is and i do love your patriotic sweatshirt thank you um i thought it was the right time to whip it out i love it i'm also i'm wearing a turd back sweatshirt turd back this is turd back it's a mock neck i love a mock neck it covers my double chin for
23:10Jackie Oshry:friday mock necks like are popular for a reason yeah they're cool i don't know if everyone buys
23:16Claudia Oshry:mock necks like for the double chin enclosure yeah but that's why i buy it and i love yeah I'm enjoying my experience.
23:25Jackie Oshry:It's nice. So we have Dear Toast. No, not Dear Toast. We have Queenie and Weenie. Yeah, we do. Excuse me, because it is Friday. And I hope everybody who's celebrating the Jewish holidays, this is a good Jewish holiday. Like it's a fun friends, family, food, faith. Oh, yeah.

23:45Jackie Oshry:Yeah. The next one. Like try not to let the upcoming holiday like kind of dim the light of this holiday. It's a beautiful holiday. It's a fresh start. And Shana Tovao Matukah.

And he was like, yeah, that's crazy because your breath never smells. Which made me feel so good. Like, obviously, he couldn't get over the fact that I had smelly breath because it's so rare. So while I obviously wanted to slap him for telling me I had smelly breath, I was kind of grateful to learn that I never have smelly breath.

28:04Jackie Oshry:Thank you, the turd. Can I ask you a question?
28:08Claudia Oshry:Thunder? Is it thundering? I hear it in my headphones. It is thundering. I don't know if it'll come up on the audio, but. It's loud. It gets crazy here in this season in Florida.
28:18Jackie Oshry:And have you made a chili yet? No.
28:21Claudia Oshry:No, I haven't because I'm gearing up for my big brisket. Of course, of course. I can only like tear up the kitchen so many times in two days. Our first story is some crazy Aaron Rodgers news. Aaron Rodgers went on a podcast and just started slinging it. Ripping it. He let it rip. That's the headline. He really did. So where shall we begin? I'm going to start with Shailene. Of course. Because he made a wild claim that his ex-fiance, Shailene Woodley, asked to sleep with someone else after he proposed to her. so in an episode of not just football with um clearly two hosts one of them is his teammate cam hayward so i think they're what team is he on it's a great question okay it's a great question koji could have been you know any teammate well let's find out what team cam i think i can't was on the jets then he's on the steelers still on the steelers
29:23Jackie Oshry:I didn't know he was on a team
29:26Claudia Oshry:yeah he's on the Steelers okay so Aaron's making friends on his team and he's giving him the tea that's always good by the way so he talked about proposing to Shailene Woodley and what happened there so he said that he proposed to Shailene and a week later she said she had to go fuck someone else in like a medical sense she like had to no like i don't know he didn't give specifics right because i'm thinking like casting couch oh that's what i'm thinking or like yachting you know i'm thinking that like perhaps they had some sort of open situation
30:14Jackie Oshry:oh maybe but she said it like she had to go yeah like that's a very i don't know if he's
30:20Claudia Oshry:like being intentional with his language yeah she said she said yes when he proposed a couple days after that she tells me before we get married i gotta go fuck this guy oh maybe it's like oh oh
30:29Jackie Oshry:oh okay so maybe it's like sort of a last hurrah you know perhaps the one that got away just get
30:34Claudia Oshry:it out of your system yeah that is sounding like that it could be so many things but initially i was like she has to go fuck him for work or something oh my god you going casting couch is extremely dark i don't know hollywood's a crazy town well that's the other thing and the fact that She said it to him like it's so normal. Like, gotta go.
30:52Jackie Oshry:As normal individuals ourselves, and I think our listeners can probably relate, like this sounds crazy. That's not what people do. But you have to understand, like people in Hollywood are genuinely abnormal. And I think Shailene Woodley specifically is like probably on the more extreme end of like the just kind of quirky Hollywood things. So none of this really surprises me. And, yeah, I'm choosing to see this as her like needing to get it out of her system one last time before she embarks on. and I don't know it's not like she did it behind his back yeah so he said she took off her ring in
31:23Claudia Oshry:March 2021 we had a couple times where we tried to get reunited and nothing ever happened um there wasn't even a relationship in 2022 to break off she literally told me I don't want to be with you after we tried some reconciliation in 2021 um and then he talked about the fact that she had like given an interview like saying that like the relationship like left her very depressed um and he sort of clapped back at that saying shy you left me you took the ring off her story is that I ruined her life and gave great gave her crazy depression because I left her what are we talking about me ruining your life the fact that these two ever at one point like thought they were
32:03Jackie Oshry:compatible is crazy because nobody thought they were more compatible than us yeah but we were just sort of blinded by their friendship with Kelly and Miles Teller like at their core that brings Right. At their core, like, she's this sort of earthy. Isn't she one of those who gave up all of her material possessions? And he's this sort of, like, loudmouth football player. Seriously, what the fuck are they doing together?
32:24Claudia Oshry:He is earthy, Claudia.
32:26Jackie Oshry:He does have the earth component. He does.
32:28Claudia Oshry:And he does ayahuasca. And he's sort of, like, rage against the government. Like, there is a Venn diagram there with a Hardy center.
32:38Jackie Oshry:Yeah, that's true. I guess just hindsight, the gift of hindsight. it's like obviously these two are never going to work out but we we choose to see the best in people like I think a lot of people thought we were crazy that we thought Kim and Pete were going to get married it's like sorry we just choose to believe in love yeah every time and
32:55Claudia Oshry:I won't apologize for that and I don't want to change that about myself and I find that while
33:02Jackie Oshry:not all of our predictions and opinions come to light especially the unpopular ones I find that these days i feel even more comfortable in my unpopular opinions because more often than not like time is on our side time is on our side you know who i feel like recently we've been like vindicated on no sophia franklin at the time like we weren't even we didn't even take sides we were just like we weren't like gobbling up everything out every time alex hooper put something out people were like that's my girl boss queen oh my god she's everything and we were like wait this is kind of mean or like wait maybe Sophia does need more money like we were just like I think coming at it from a very rational place which was sort of questioning like whether all of this was in good faith and then like the suit guy stuff and now everyone's like yeah that was bad it's like oh my god you guys were eating that shit up and we like took some heat for not being like up Alex Cooper's ass at the time and you know what I feel that time has vindicated us I agree I that
34:00Claudia Oshry:time is on our side and I'm a patient person yeah you know I'll wait yeah I feel that uh just a
34:09Jackie Oshry:little bit of a prediction I think that time will be on our side in in due time I think it'll be a
34:13Claudia Oshry:while with Lindsay Clancy oh for sure I feel oh my god that was a crazy thing from this 2001 live account yes they were talking about Andrea Yates I mean they're also posting things that are topical to the future it's not just about 9-11 no no it's just it's crazy they do this account 25 years ago and now they've hit the day of 9 11 2001 so it's just getting extra eyeballs but they also had posted andrea yates's legal defense team was mounting a defense of postpartum depression and they posted the news clip and everything and andrea yates was the woman who drowned her five kids in the bathtub who was hated by the entire country and the idea that she would ever have sympathy or get off is ludicrous but she was trying to say the same thing those were the days by the way when
34:54Jackie Oshry:we hated women who killed their children that's how i know i'm not of this time i'm not appreciated
34:58Claudia Oshry:in my own time that is very black and white to me and i'm okay with that 1000 like the jury deliberated for like 45 minutes yeah did you see that tweet that's like that actually sums up wait
35:10Jackie Oshry:are you seeing the jurors okay so here's the thing is that everyone wants to chat with the one juror and i'm gathering that he doesn't want to go public which is completely his right that photo of him like has been leaked oh i didn't see oh i did he's just like a young guy um i won't give too many identifying details because like and his anonymity after being like a civil servant is his right and it's his privilege and so i'm getting the vibe that he's not gonna speak out because like while half the country thinks he's a hero half the country thinks he's like the devil so we are hearing from like the sort of irrelevant jurors and it's like well that's all fine and good because it's like OJ, what every single person on that juror ended up writing a bestselling novel.
35:53Jackie Oshry:Like kind of being on a high profile jury is kind of a get out of jail free card. Like you can end up making a lot of money and becoming famous. I don't think we're going to hear from him. Yeah, or maybe not immediately. Who would want that? It's like you had to be a fucking juror because like it's your job, it's your requirement as a citizen. You guys don't like what I have to say. Now I have to explain myself.
36:11Claudia Oshry:Like seriously, I wouldn't. Yeah. No, the jurors from what I've seen like really aren't helping themselves. Not a compelling group. Not a compelling group. And they were like, we'd try and talk to him and he'd be scrolling on his phone. By the way, I can't believe they had their phones in deliberation.
36:29Jackie Oshry:I don't want to talk to you either. No, did you see the one woman who was like, and this guy, he just couldn't get over the fact that Lindsay Clancy viciously killed her children. And she said it as if it was such an inconvenience. And it's like, well, yeah, you could.
36:38Claudia Oshry:So what you're saying is you could. Yeah, that's an aside. He couldn't get over this fact in pursuit of these facts.
36:44Jackie Oshry:And the thing is, being a juror is seriously a thankless job. I don't know why anyone would come forward, especially in a case like this. Like, seriously, I did my job at my civic duty. Leave me alone. Yeah. Unless, you know, he has an itch for the spotlight because he would have a lot of people on his side. He would become like a very polarizing political figure. Yeah. And there's an itch for that. You know? But I wouldn't. Like, seriously, I did my job. You guys, like, I believe what I believe. Like, leave me alone.
37:12Claudia Oshry:Well, it just would depend, like, how my life is going otherwise. Like, could I use a little jolt of success? or do I have like a nice life and I want to keep it that way? I wouldn't change a thing. Right. Yeah.
37:27Claudia Oshry:So. How did we get here? Other things Aaron Rodgers said. Oh, right. He also railed on Danica Patrick.
37:34Jackie Oshry:Oh, I don't love that because I think that of all of his lady loves, like she had him and her, like she's the one that got away.
37:41Claudia Oshry:No, he said, I dated Danica. She had just retired. She was depressed and not fun to be around. but I but I didn't leave her because I was trying to be there and be a good partner then it was going a certain direction obviously there was no intimacy there was nothing oh my oh my god I actually really like hate this he's like I don't know what like truth Sierra he just woke up and chose violence yeah he really did he said and I'm buying a house in Malibu and she goes would you want to buy it together and I said no oh my god he's literally the devil So she tells a story that I was so blindsided by getting left by you and he leaves a trail of blood around.
38:20Claudia Oshry:I'm like, what are you talking about? That's not what happened by any means. She had called him emotionally abusive, adding that the relationship wore her down to nothing, said he leaves a trail of blood. And he was like, no. And he's saying pretty much with Danica, there's her story trail of blood blindsided. There's zero intimacy. Didn't want to buy a house. There's really nothing there. Then I date Shailene. And again, I feel like this needs to be told because there's just narratives out there, which by the way, forever, what people hit me on all the time was he's such a fucking asshole. Even his family.
38:49Claudia Oshry:He's not helping the allegations against him. There's an interesting tidbit in this interview that I think explains like why all of his girlfriends are like running away crying. Well, but I don't understand.
38:59Jackie Oshry:He like sat down for this interview to sort of rebuke the asshole allegations and he's leading by being an asshole.
39:04Claudia Oshry:Yes. So basically in here, it also shares that he is married right now to a very private girl right he's married right now to a very private girl named britney but he apparently met britney in 2017 and she then moved to europe he said he was plagued by regrets of not begging her to stay or proposing which sent him into a tailspin during his relationship with danica so the whole time between when he met britney and when he married britney i think he's hung up on britney so that would explain why danica and shaleen and everyone felt like abandoned and And depressed by their relationship with him because he wasn't there.
39:45Jackie Oshry:I don't know. I know he came on to dispel all those rumors, but I believe them now. And he's almost admitting to it, being like, yeah, I was in love with another girl. So yeah, that will leave Danica depressed. Yes. And Shailene. That is emotionally abusive to stay in a relationship with someone when you're literally in love with someone else. Yeah. So thanks for clearing all that up. Not in the way that you thought you did. Yeah. He's just mean. Like, Danica, she was depressed. like seriously like have less compassion
40:12Claudia Oshry:it's fucking crazy it's a crazy interview to me though the most shocking thing that he said is about shailene like that she has to fuck someone else oh no the whole thing like and i just want
40:22Jackie Oshry:to say i actually believe like that that did happen um but just i think i need to hear from
40:27Claudia Oshry:shailene yeah because i don't think that aaron is a liar i think that he's in aaron's world and he sees things from like aaron's perfect perception and like he doesn't realize that his girlfriends are depressed and then like because of him and then they're like oh she's a bore like but it's like you're doing the thing that's making her act that way yeah he's like with this dark cloud it's
40:47Jackie Oshry:like well why is the cloud there maybe it's because you're emotionally abusive and mean
40:50Claudia Oshry:like in love with someone else right what came first the cloud or you right so that's what's going on with Aaron Richards he also talked a little bit about his family that they are reconciled that that was in part due to his wife, his new wife, like encouraging him and just showing him the importance of like love and family. Lovely, lovely. Lovely. So yeah, Aaron Rodgers decided to let it rip.
41:14Jackie Oshry:It's crazy.
41:16Claudia Oshry:Our next story, some exciting news for country music fans. Taylor Swift confirms she'll be attending the CMA Awards 2026 after a 10-year absence. So she shared. Sorry, wait, wait, wait.
41:26Jackie Oshry:I just say one thing. I just need to get my prediction out like before. She shared on her Instagram. Oh, sorry. I'm cutting you off again. Go.
41:33Claudia Oshry:So she shared on her Instagram the fact that she was nominated for single of the year. I knew it. I knew you. And she wrote on top, looks like I haven't yeed my last haw. Thank you, CMA. See you there, November 18th.
41:46Jackie Oshry:My prediction, like that's obviously a lyric. It looks like I haven't yeed my last haw, something like that. So here's what I think is going to go down because she was talking. She recently did an interview at the Grammy Museum where she said as she gets older and like more experience in her songwriting she finds herself more consistently going back to her country music roots so her next album is obviously country she will obviously be announcing it at the cma awards and that's a lyric yeez my ha or something like i love that i hope yeah me too i mean i knew it i knew you is legit a country song it's a banger and i feel like that was sort of like a throwaway song from like the bottom of her catalog that she like gave to tom hanks um so i'm looking forward to like a well thought out country album 100 i believe that's what's happening okay like great
42:27Claudia Oshry:slay do you think that she will win this category because she's attending like no even though cma
42:33Jackie Oshry:does give like the fake type of award whereas like if taylor swift shows up they're obviously
42:36Claudia Oshry:gonna give it to her but for song of the year it's like too important sorry you can't just like give it also as a charity case and i love taylor swift and i can make the case of like any award
42:45Jackie Oshry:she gets nominated for she should win the song came out 35 seconds ago um it can't be the song
42:50Claudia Oshry:of the year when it just came out and like does it play on the radio like i listen to it because i have toddlers and you listen to it because you're a swifty but like is it an actual song it's just from the movie and song of the year yeah it can't come from a cinema soundtrack well it could if it's like let it go you know but that took over the world right this song didn't take over the world no it's just a good song it's just a good song for a movie the moms love it the kids
43:13Jackie Oshry:love it like we're having no i think them nominating her is like definitely a stretch But I do think if she's going to announce the album, she has to win so she can get her ass up there.
43:24Claudia Oshry:Or she announces the album like before she puts out a single and she performs it at the CMA Awards. Oh, so cute.
43:30Jackie Oshry:I'm so here for Taylor's like CMA era. I think she also like now is living most of the time in Kansas City. St. Louis. Oh, thank you. Yeah, St. Louis. I got confused like Missouri. I'm in Kansas City. I think it's probably like easier to get to Nashville than L.A. So like if Nashville becomes her new like musical base, like I just think being a country artist is like very good for travel. It's a little bit more central.
43:51Claudia Oshry:For her lifestyle. But also I feel like if she's going back into country music, like the female country music space is a lot more competitive now than it was when she was coming up. Not that she still wouldn't have been the number one girl, but like it's competitive.
44:09Jackie Oshry:It is. But I do think that, and all the young girls, when we talk about like Megan Maroney, Ella Langley, when like they Taylor walked so they could run like she's really and a lot of them like try to cross over do girl pop and a lot of them successfully do and like Taylor is the trailblazer in that
44:27Claudia Oshry:oh for sure but if you're putting out sort of like a country female country album like we are going to judge that album like do I want to listen to this or Megan Maroney Lainey Wilson A thousand percent. Ella Langley.
44:40Jackie Oshry:A thousand percent. No, no, she's. But of course, she's the greatest success of all time. No. And country is like real music. Like it's lots of live instruments, live vocals. No, no. I mean, like a lot of music in pop is like literally made on a computer. Like it's not real music. Whereas a country music is like live instruments, live vocals. Like you can't be a bad singer if you're a country singer because it's sort of like talent driven. Not that. And honestly, not all industries are genres. Excuse me. So I think that Taylor's sort of ripe for a country album because she's like instrument girl.
45:12Jackie Oshry:And songwriting is like so country music storytelling. No, but it's like very full circle.
45:15Claudia Oshry:And she's gone out there and she's conquered the world and she's done all these different genres. But she's country at her core. And like eventually she's coming home.
45:22Jackie Oshry:Oh, I didn't know that we were waiting for her to come home. Obviously, like I've been holding out. I've been like Taylor Swift for country music is my personal dream. I didn't honestly know it was a possibility.
45:31Claudia Oshry:No, everyone comes home, Claudia.
45:34Jackie Oshry:She always like dangles. Like she threw Betty in there. Betty's a country song. I didn't know, and obviously we don't know this to be true, but I'm assuming that it is. If we get a country Taylor Swift album, I will be extremely, extremely happy. I'll probably be as happy as I am when I get Taylor's first album after having a baby.
45:50Claudia Oshry:Yeah.
45:51Jackie Oshry:Those are the things I'm waiting for in the Taylor Swift universe.
45:54Claudia Oshry:All in time, Codrielle. All in time. Are you ready for our next story? I am. Paige and Tommy Paul's Connecticut home has been profiled in Architectural Diagest. die just um the photos are parged so this is major because page and tommy have you know settled into their marital home yes i i could tell on her instagram like she doesn't share like
46:19Jackie Oshry:a ton of personal but some of her backdrops have changed and then she said she moved and she posted
46:24Claudia Oshry:like her old house was for sale yeah yeah yeah oh i was just like noticing that she had like a
46:28Jackie Oshry:couple of people over over for the weekend over the summer and i was like oh new house yeah and
46:32Claudia Oshry:She like shared like little things here and there of like, you know, her kitchen tiles that are like dairy boy inspired her backsplash. Cute. But not like much. And the much is here in the form of architectural digest spread.
46:45Jackie Oshry:It's a compound in Connecticut. Of course, there's a tennis court for Tommy. Of course, there's chickens for our dairy girl. It's very, I don't even know what style this is. It's like Pardew Girl Farmhouse Cottagecore. It's like the aesthetic that she's really sort of like become known for. americana heritage yeah like it's not girly it's like feminine and it's not like pink but it's lots of patterns it's very beautiful it's also like antique yes yes it's not crazy modern not at all no i just feel that and you know what's so funny new england nostalgia new england nostalgia i saw her on morgan stewart's podcast and you know i really appreciated the context because it does feel like in the last like year or two like something has shifted in Paige's overall branding like I feel like she went from being like an influencer with like a successful fashion brand to being like a true I don't even know what to call her like celebrity socialite trendsetter like she to me and I people are gonna think this is crazy but I think for like a digital generation she's very much like a Hailey Bieber um and it just feels like everything has leveled up so much for her and she said that like a year or two ago she finally brought on like a partner to run Dairy Boy.
47:57Jackie Oshry:Like, I think he's like the CEO. It's someone that she knows. He has equity in the company. And she was like, you know, you can have something smaller that you own outright. Or you can have something huge that you share and let people in on. And I do feel like it marked like a real like upgrade for her. Yeah. Where she like totally blew up bigger than she was before.
48:17Claudia Oshry:No, I think it's been like a perfect storm for her and not an accidental storm. Right. of like her relationship and her wedding and her brand and her content and like everything just like firing in all cylinders to create a princess and then taylor fritz breaking up with the other
48:35Jackie Oshry:blonde tennis wag like didn't hurt either it just cleared the runway yeah it cemented her as the queen of tennis and what's so funny is that tommy paul got out like two rounds ago and then last round page went i was like she is like she's an influencer celebrity so like that's what you do but like I thought that when Tommy was out like she wouldn't come anymore but she did like a Grey Goose partnership and she like had the suite and she walked the carpet it's like yeah girl go
48:57Claudia Oshry:yeah you got a brand brand's gonna brands right um so yeah check out the pictures very cute do they usually do a video are we like what are we waiting for a video uh that was like Mr.
49:10Jackie Oshry:Mr. Property did a video yeah I know Zooey Deschanel and the property ex I don't know um sometimes but not always it'd be nice to see a video it would be nice the place looks great like real
49:22Claudia Oshry:real sickening real actives real actives oh yeah and the chickens and the tennis court it's just pargy it is it's really it's some classy shit yeah and ad is like major you know so this is another major another like major and legit notch in her belt you know she's just page paul to the moon.
49:46Jackie Oshry:Peach Paul to the moon. Yeah. Are you ready for our next story? If it's our next story that's brought to you by the Hulu original series, Chad Powers. 55:35Claudia Oshry:Thank you, turtster time. You're welcome. Turtster time. Our next story, Brooke Snader defends going topless in front of her dad in those viral photos. She said he didn't even notice. So Brooke Snader isn't thinking twice about going topless in front of her father. As we all remember, paparazzi photos of Brooke on a yacht topless. There are some things you don't forget. Those photos took the world by storm. Like we're always. As they should. No, but like we're just on like Nader alerts. Like everything Brooks does, every paparazzi photo, like we consume it. But those were like. Insane. Yeah. So on Thursday, Entertainment Tonight shared an interview with Brooksy where she explained why her controversial swim isn't something that her family even thinks twice about.
56:22Claudia Oshry:She said, I had the time of my freaking life. I don't care if I'm not from Europe. I'm from Louisiana. She said. Like, okay.
56:31Jackie Oshry:Next time somebody asks me why I did something,
56:32Claudia Oshry:I'm just going to say I'm from Louisiana. She said, I grew up in an all girls household. We're always naked together as sisters. She insisted that her father wasn't fazed by her lack of clothing. She said, my dad's half blind. So he didn't even notice. He was like, I don't care. He has selective hearing and selective seeing. I was just having the time of my life and really not thinking that anyone was documenting some of it. But we love it. It's great.
56:53Jackie Oshry:um you know that brooks is one of my mentors and i stand on her shoulders um unfortunately she's true you should stand tall no because i think that part of a healthy mentor mentee relationship is like being able to disagree peacefully of course um and brooks is genuinely like never in her life gonna convince me that this wasn't weird now i understand she has a duty to defend herself her family of course it's not working it's not working I just I don't know
57:25Claudia Oshry:what it's like to be Brooks Nader you know I do so I could see a world in which Brooks is well and if you watch the show like they really are like that yes and I also do think as a full-time
57:39Jackie Oshry:model and this is something I can speak to like from experience is you are very disconnected from your physical body like it's it's not sexual it's sort of like just there and so while obviously I think that this is crazy I do see a world in which like somebody who's like modeling full-time is constantly being like poked prodded photographed like very objectified I do think I do see a world
58:00Claudia Oshry:in which how that can really disconnect you from your physical body yes and also it's like I my you know the way I think about this is so different from how Brooks thinks about it like because I would be like oh my god how dare they take those photos of me like how you're focused on the like invasion of privacy yeah and the fact that that doesn't even cross my mind she's like we're having a ball like she's just like she's free and she's very free like free spirit and her and her sisters are constantly like topless naked and running around and her parents are always there because they're like supportive parents that love them so if they're always topless naked and they're always there then they're going to be topless naked together i saw the most annoying
58:35Jackie Oshry:clip of grace ann nader she was like at some us open suite and like the brand was like asking her questions they were like who do you think is gonna go further on dances with the stars sarah jane nader or brooks and she just like is such a brooks hater so of course she said sarah jane even though literally like people are boycotting sarah jane because she's like people don't know who she is so it's like she's like well i think sarah jane's gonna go further because like she's gonna be less distracted and it was just like such an annoying fucking thing to say especially given the fact like what we now know about gleb is like he's legit evil and he's not on the season i don't know if he was fired he should be fired like hr hulu abc but it's like she's so annoying Yeah, that's crazy.
59:11Jackie Oshry:Like, if I'm Brooks and I see that, like, I want to slap my sister. Like, you only let the U.S. open because of me, bitch.
59:16Claudia Oshry:You could, I mean, they do literally have those conversations and fight like that. I know, I love my favorite conversations. They move on and just continue to operate like that. But you could say, like, Sarah Jane's going to go further just because you're trying to support Sarah Jane. Just be like, because, like, you know, she's training, like, she's working really hard or she really loves dance. It was an annoying answer. Yeah. If Grace Ann has no haters who also, like, love her but hate her, you are dead. no who else hates her i don't fall into that category of people who like hate her but also love her i just hate her i was just like trying to like soften it because that's like your mentor
59:55Jackie Oshry:sister did i ever tell you guys that i was on the same flight as grace ann nader it was so awkward the thing is like i think she genuinely had no idea who i was which like i'm grateful for and it wasn't a commercial flight it was like one of these like like semi-private so it was literally 10 people on the plane um i i actually wanted to be dead why because like you've talked we had just recapped love thine aider and it's like i loved the show and i was always like just kind of like hating on grace um and by the way they set up the show like that like clearly grace is like meant to be the villain so sorry i was just like watching and recapping your show but
1:00:27Claudia Oshry:um it was terrible like seriously terrible oh i thought that like you felt like you love the Naders that includes I do that includes grace but that you like there's as a whole yes you hate
1:00:37Jackie Oshry:grace she's my least favorite so like there is I don't hate anyone by the hate is a strong one and I don't want to perpetuate I don't want to perpetuate hate like I have the most criticisms of her as like a sister model and individual like she's your op she's my op and like I never find anything like that she does to be redeemable like she's never like but I love Brooks like I just I don't know she I feel like they all take from Brooks but like of course they all give to Brooks I just feel like she's like a taker. Yeah.
1:01:05Claudia Oshry:Yeah. Okay. Okay. So, yeah, Brooks doesn't care.
1:01:12Jackie Oshry:No, she doesn't. And that's why we love her. And that's why I stand proudly on her shoulders.
1:01:16Claudia Oshry:It's that that you take away from your mentor. Yes. Are you ready for our fifth and final story? I don't know if you've seen this yet. Breaking news? Maybe. No, it's from yesterday. I've definitely seen that. I just saw it. Sophie Cunningham seemingly drops her podcast host Wes Wilson after the trans athlete debate. So Indiana Fever Guard Sophie Cunningham is getting back into podcasting and it appears she will do so without her friend and longtime co-host, like year-long co-host Wes Wilson. Sophie Cunningham is back with world-renowned basketball player Drew Hanlon read a message from her podcast X account on Thursday.
1:01:53Claudia Oshry:New episodes dropping every Thursday with episode one dropping later today. Wait, who's the other co-host? Drew Hanlon. She a WNBA player also? Is it a she or a he? Oh, that's a great question. World-renowned basketball trainer. Sorry, because I was like. Oh, cool. I was Drew Hanlon Gakaba. I think it's a girl. It's a man. Okay, great. It's a man. The podcast, which was previously called Show Me Something, has been rebranded as No Hesitation.
1:02:25Jackie Oshry:now there was really never much interest in their podcast until sophie cunningham started to speak like she only recently became at least to me as not a wnba like fan or watcher she only recently became like sort of a figure in pop culture recently it's because she's made some she gives her takes on the whole um trans athletes conversation which is obviously very divisive she speaks very bluntly and matter-of-factly just being like i don't think it should be allowed and I think a lot of people were talking about this and people from my world were talking about it being like well what does this mean for West because West is like very progressive he I feel like he kind of uses his progressivism as like a shield a lot of the times being like I can't hate women I love women my mom's an OBGYN like and so a lot of us were like oh you know what this dumb podcast you guys have had which has literally made no sense I'm kind of looking forward to the next episode they have not released an episode since her statements like they have literally were never even spotted together so a lot of people are like west dropped her she dropped west um i actually would have really liked to have listened to a podcast between the two of them we should have had a debate bring back debates just because like you disagree heavily with somebody on like a random certain topic doesn't mean you can't host a podcast together like for sure for sure the
1:03:39Claudia Oshry:difference is that like he sort of went out there and like turned on her you know well that's the
1:03:46Jackie Oshry:thing it's like she decided to host a podcast with you when you were like literally like shit on the shoe of a hobo like you she lifted you up and that was before she was even considered
1:03:55Claudia Oshry:she didn't make a video being like you should never steal your friend's wife and boyfriend and your ex-girl you know what i mean like she we can all feel that she wouldn't agree with what he did but like you you just sort of like stand by your friend and say nothing really when things got tough for him she was just there she never like spoke out against him or anything like that and nobody needed to know what West Wilson thinks about trans athletes and women's sports. We actually could guess what he thinks. We actually need to know like what female athletes think about it. That's like the person that you want to hear from on the top.
1:04:27Jackie Oshry:No, but podcast is supposed to be interesting conversation. And I think that like, yeah, these two people who are seemingly so fucking random, I don't even know how they got paired up together. I feel like for the first time ever, like I actually would be interested to hear what these two would say.
1:04:39Claudia Oshry:And it would be more respectable of him to like go on their podcast and be like, wow you're in the news for having said this you know I really I don't agree with that and like and like call her out to her face and have a conversation but him like going and making a video about her that she can't respond to in real time and he's just like using all these like woke isms to make everyone feel good saying that this is not an a non-existent issue this is a real issue for her so that's the first offense you're gonna say something that's an issue for me is not
1:05:06Jackie Oshry:an issue I'm living it you're not no and it's like it's so uninteresting to talk about this is a person you literally made us listen to your episodes with for months and it's like now's the first time ever where actually I think you two might have something worth uh hearing and he just makes a video it's so cowardly it's so west like what have we learned about him from this whole saga he's literally the definition of a coward like he can't have a conversation with someone he can't be honest he's a liar so like yeah this tracks but it would have been actually like a nice
1:05:34Claudia Oshry:opportunity for civil discourse yeah that's that would be cool because people we're so polarized now that like two people who like fundamentally disagree about something like they would never they have to part ways i know and they would never wind up in the same room or like on the same conversation um in a meaningful way you know sometimes on the news they'll have like two people and like no one can get a word in but like actually if the two friends sat down and like the way they always do two podcast hosts who disagree about something like try to like talk it out that would be revolutionary that's just like that's debate that's good healthy debate yeah it's really
1:06:07Jackie Oshry:lame that this ended like this shook out how it did no but it's not lame of her because let me tell you if someone did that to me well we don't know i guess yeah we don't know what happened behind the scenes but yeah i guess he did make that video um he's just like so obsessed with like people's approval which is crazy because he ended up doing something that like because he wound up being the most hated man in america yeah like oops but like to take it to social media and the public like before your friend especially like she decided to work with him publicly after he was the most hated man in America.
1:06:40Jackie Oshry:Like that takes balls.
1:06:41Claudia Oshry:Yeah. And also I just want to say like when Sophie Cunningham said what she said about the issue of trans athletes, like I don't think anyone really needed to hear from West. What does West think about trans athletes? You know?
1:06:56Jackie Oshry:No, I want to know what West thinks about his cousin. Like there's a lot of things I need to hear from West Wilson about.
1:07:03Claudia Oshry:Yeah. but he's just like not relevant to the conversation so for him to throw her under the bus which is what he did like yeah goodbye she she seems like she doesn't suffer any fools you know she's fine
1:07:16Jackie Oshry:yeah let's dive into our final segment of the week queenie and weenie of the week just a great way to wrap up the week if you're new here every friday our very last segment is something we call queenie and weenie of the week it's a childhood game we used to play um that was borderline traumatizing but we've taken our power back.
1:07:31Claudia Oshry:Now we can traumatize others with it.
1:07:33Jackie Oshry:Yes. Queenie and Weenie of the Week. Who acted like a Queenie this week and who acted like a Weenie this week?
1:07:38Claudia Oshry:We'll start with Queenie. Yes. My Queenie is very obvious. It is Alex Earle and her family. It is the Earle family. They put on a jolly good show. Really.
1:07:49Jackie Oshry:You see her on the Tonight Show last night?
1:07:50Claudia Oshry:I saw that she was on it. But I didn't see. Jimmy Fallon. But I didn't see. With Matthew McConaughey. Oh, cute. The show exceeded my expectations. I think they've got what it takes. and I am really proud of them. And she's just been like really a joy to follow as a pop culture commentator. I enjoy Alex Earl on the radar.
1:08:12Jackie Oshry:She was also in the mix for me for Queenie because it was definitely her week. The show was great. She's carried herself with such grace. Sometimes a lot of people like force their families onto us like when they're becoming famous. And it's like, you know, we are all set. But I think the way that they've done it has been like very organic. I totally agree. But actually she's not my Queenie. My Queenie is somebody who went through so much this week and like is sort of facing adversity in a beautiful way. Romeo. And that's Romeo. Yeah. And he provided us with so much content. Like people were cracking up.
1:08:41Jackie Oshry:Like when I saw the picture, I'm like, are other people going to think this is as funny as I think it is? And it turns out that they do. So Romeo, he gave us content. He gave us engagement. And for that, we have to respect the king.
1:08:49Claudia Oshry:He sacrificed Roe South and Roe ears. Exactly. Yeah. And Roe back.
1:08:54Jackie Oshry:Now, my weenie of the week is a little delayed. Yeah, Roe back. My Weenie of the Week is a little delayed because we weren't able to give this individual Weenie of the Week when it happened. So I'm going like posthumously giving this to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. It's true. They haven't been anointed yet. And I know they think that they got away with moving when they did so that they wouldn't be Weenie of the Week. But the official Meghan Markle Prince Harry Watchdog podcast lets no sleeping dogs lie.
1:09:24Claudia Oshry:Yeah. That is beautiful. I'm glad that you brought that up because honestly it slipped for me. It would have slipped. I was going to give it to, um, the Beerman family.
1:09:36Jackie Oshry:Oh,
1:09:37Claudia Oshry:but see, because I was thinking like family and family and I know crimes. We always say like, if you have done something criminal,
1:09:43Jackie Oshry:you're not,
1:09:43Claudia Oshry:of course, it minimizes. It would be Lindsay Clancy. It would be the weenie of the week. Right, right. It minimizes what you've done by like calling you a weenie. Okay, but no, but you're right because Megan and Harry need to be weenie of the week. Do you choose? There's so many parts of it that make it. Due to the weedy nature of what they did. And the return, Charles's statement, like every part of it gets them the nomination. I keep seeing like these clips and I'm actually seeing it from both like hater accounts and fan accounts. Like I'll see like Megan fan accounts post clips of her from like their docu-series or whatever being like, what a queen, but like, I'm just watching the clip.
1:10:18Claudia Oshry:It's really crazy. Like the, I'm sure you've seen the curtsy, the curtsy clip.
1:10:23Jackie Oshry:oh yes a lot of footage from i saw the beyonce texted me one i just saw that one but i saw it
1:10:29Claudia Oshry:from a positive content creator who was like how sweet their friendship is but like no the curtsy was so rude yeah i saw a scene where like she's sort of railing on william because i guess i saw that too uh and that's your brother she's like i'm not gonna say anything because that's your brother but like you're saying something and like sure talk shit about your brother sure but not on camera yeah like because i guess like william's aide put something out and that's william you know yeah i saw that clip too um the clips are not aging well it's all i'll say no no and that's
