In short
The Toast’s “Fast Five” episode opens with fall returning and personal updates (new house, teary/watery eyes, Rosh Hashanah/Yom Kippur, journaling debate, U.S. Open and Marlins game talk). The main news segment focuses on “Earl Meets World,” an eight-episode series released Friday about Alex Earl and her family/relationships, plus other planned topics: Megxit return, Dancing with the Stars cast, an Elizabeth Holmes documentary, Love Island reunion, and KJ Beerman’s sodomy charges.
Guest backgrounds
No guests appear in the transcript. Hosts are Jackson Claude and Jacques (co-host).
Key claims (Earl Meets World)
The show’s family dynamic is “more human” than expected; cameras forced difficult conversations that improved communication. Ashley is more humanized by her on-camera explanations. Alex’s father is criticized as having managed her and made “weird” comments (including about buying her “boobs” and nude photos). The show is praised for feeling like “flies on the wall,” not a staged trip-for-TV.
Notable examples
Braxton/relationship scenes (including a final-scene call and a cliffhanger), Aspen scenes referencing Dumois sightings and Olivia Jade, and press/social-media context (Alex spotted with F1 driver and Tom Brady).

Automatic transcript. May contain errors.0:03Jackie Oshry:Good morning, girlies. It's the toast.
0:08Claudia Oshry:It's Jackson Claude and we're your hosts. It's your favorite show. The fast five things you need to know.
0:18Jackie Oshry:We'll start your day off swirly. It's the toast. I sound amazing. Welcome back to The Toast and happy Tuesday that feels like a Monday because it is the start of something new. That's right. Fall is here. The toast returns. Summer break ends and Jacques and Claude are back in their bi-coastal transatlantic pink frame setup. Hey, Jacques, how you doing? I'm doing amazing.
0:40Claudia Oshry:I seriously missed the toast so much. I did too, but more specifically, like I missed this toast. I missed. Let me get specific. I missed this toast. I missed this chair. I missed this set. I miss the swirly vibes. I love swirly summer, but sayonara, swirly summer. Like seriously, sayonara. Hello, Pardgy Fall.
1:02Jackie Oshry:See you never, swirly summer. Hello, Pardgy Fall. We have so much to discuss. I'm bursting.
1:07Claudia Oshry:I do not know how people watch television and don't have a podcast. I know. You guys are the heroes. I guess they talk about it with their friends.
1:13Jackie Oshry:You just keep your opinions to yourself? No, I think they make TikToks and perhaps chat with friends, both IRL and digitally.
1:21Claudia Oshry:Yeah, but I'm talking about the people who don't make TikToks because they have the outlet. Like we do. Yeah, right. A place to share their thoughts.
1:28Jackie Oshry:We haven't even, and just this goes without saying, if you're a member of the DTQ, like we will see you tomorrow. Like DTFN, ta-ta for now. We haven't even discussed like offline. What are we talking about today? If you're looking for like in-depth analysis on Hayden Panettiere, Dolly Parton, all like the big news that happened over the course of my recap of Devil Wears Prada too. We did two pop culture episodes on our Patreon. John Galliano.
1:50Claudia Oshry:If you really want to know our thoughts with John. John Galliano. And we did good John Galliano content. We did. We did really good. That's on Patreon. There are only a couple of subjects that we will be talking about again today.
2:00Jackie Oshry:Megxit return, of course. Megxit, you guys.
2:02Claudia Oshry:I don't care. Actually, I did say it would be the first story no matter what happened in the world. But Alex Earl is the first story.
2:11Jackie Oshry:Of course she is. And Megxit is the second story. I'll tell you what the stories are just to like tease everyone. Yeah, I know we have Dancing with the Stars. That's something we haven't covered yet.
2:18Claudia Oshry:Dancing with the Stars cast, this Elizabeth Holmes documentary that just broke the internet yesterday. Everybody cares so much, so I felt like we had to.
2:26Jackie Oshry:You can skip that one if there's something else.
2:27Claudia Oshry:Then Love Island Reunion, we must discuss. Oh, and I watch. And KJ Beerman and his sodomy charges.
2:35Jackie Oshry:So I wanted to make sure that Beerman's were on the docket. Because while we are the official Megan and Harry watchdog podcast, for many years we were the Beerman's Olsiak watchdog podcast. And I have a lot to say. So I'm glad that we have that. And then also dancing with the stars.
2:49Claudia Oshry:We have dancing with the stars. Yeah. But you said that. So we're covered. And then also anything else that comes up along the way. Like it's a loose fast five. It's really just like everything that we need to discuss the major things.
3:01Jackie Oshry:Where does Alex Earl like fall into the past five story?
3:04Claudia Oshry:Oh, okay. Earl meets world recap. Everything that has happened with Alex Earl since we last spoke is our number one story. She's the number one girl of the moment.
3:13Jackie Oshry:That was probably the hardest part of break. Was there being so much Alex Earl news? when I consider myself the official Alex Earl watchdog influencer.
3:20Claudia Oshry:However, the show came out on Friday. So like we would only be talking about it today anyway. And it gave us enough time to watch. So but like the name on everybody's lips is Alex Earl.
3:30Jackie Oshry:And it's kind of like a divisive polarizing show.
3:33Claudia Oshry:Like people are really split about it. So I've been trying to see what other people think about the show. There's not a lot of places for me to do that since I'm not on TikTok. So I just have to wait for it to come my way on Reels.
3:44Jackie Oshry:She's so beloved. And I love the show. But like she's so beloved on TikTok. People being like, give me season two now. And it's like, I'm actually looking for like critical like thought. I want to hear what people actually think, not just like blind loyalty. And I feel like I've actually gotten quite a bit of that.
4:00Claudia Oshry:I want to save my thoughts because I think we feel like a little bit differently. I will discuss it with you in the first story. How about that? OK, that's going to be really hard. But in the meantime, what's going on with you, Turtle?
4:12Jackie Oshry:I'm back in the city. Summer in the Hamptons is over. I'm so ready to get back into my routine, you know, like drinking my water and going to work. It's good for the soul.
4:22Claudia Oshry:Yes. Yes.
4:23Jackie Oshry:I was not drinking my water in the Hamptons.
4:25Claudia Oshry:I was doing pretty good, but I crave routine. I love doing this show and I really missed everyone and everything. And it starts to get like a little worrisome when you're not working for a while. I'm like, am I? Well, of course. And I also like, I'm in a new house. I've got bills.
4:41Jackie Oshry:I'm like, bitch, get back to work. Yeah, I agree. whenever we go on break a time comes where i'm like i do i do need to start generating revenue um and i did a little tiktok get ready with me so i apologies if you've seen me on already talking about this on tiktok because i'm so big on tiktok um i do like going on break for multiple reasons obviously you know not having to set an alarm even though i wake up at six every day is ideal um but i do feel like sometimes we get to points where it's like we're on the verge of getting like stale and people like i can always sense in the comments like when shit turns snarky i'm like you know what I need everyone to miss me a little bit I feel like I was getting a lot of hate and swirly summer maybe it's because I just looked so ugly yeah um that it's like easy to hate an ugly person of course even though I would have loved some like sympathy um now that I'm back to being gorgeous like I'm ready for people to start liking me again yes yeah you do reach a
5:28Claudia Oshry:point of like potential burnout so always good to have time off but now like I do feel sufficiently ready and yes I shared this on the patreon but I guess if you're not a patron you're like a new house what I moved over the break I am in a new house I'm so excited so that's really what I've been doing the last two weeks and so even though we've been on break from work honestly the break couldn't have come at a better time because I don't know how I could have like done everything done all of it yeah and working so I have just been like tirelessly working on the new house decorating unpacking everything it's been so much fun it's like it's so exciting change is so exciting I couldn't agree less I know I know But I'm excited To like share More like house stuff And everything But I've just been getting Everything in order In order Yeah we needed the break I know everyone was really upset Which I loved
6:15Jackie Oshry:Loved Loved to see people Just like having miserable time Without us But we needed the break For the mind body soul
6:21Claudia Oshry:Yeah she needed to move Yeah I needed to lay down Like we had to do What we had to do We had to do What we had to do But now we're back And just something That's going on with me That I want to share With everyone also because I'm asking for medical advice is I have had a teary eyes for the last two weeks since I got back to Florida like and you'll see the whole episode I'm gonna be wiping tears from my eye I'm not upset she's obviously emotional I'm not upset I have constant watery teary eyes I've tried eye drops I thought it was allergies I tried Zyrtec which made me feel like shit so I'm not taking that anymore and have you tried a doctor no that's next okay that will be next like an podcast but people say like it might be like the dry conditions here i don't know what it is it's so inconvenient all day and now i have like dryness under my eye from constantly this and my makeup's a little botchy and um i'm sort of like going through it physically sometimes i get
7:14Jackie Oshry:that with one nostril like it just leaks all day it's so fucking annoying yeah but that would be
7:18Claudia Oshry:you know you have a runny nose what yeah but it's only one nostril what does no it's both eyes but one is definitely worse what does a runny eye entail and sometimes that could be sick but it's
7:29Jackie Oshry:not sick i don't know maybe it's a physical manifestation of how much you miss me it is
7:34Claudia Oshry:or someone suggested to me like it could be like my repressed emotions oh my god i think the type
7:41Jackie Oshry:of doctor you need to go to is a psychologist therapist yeah work through that no i'm i maybe
7:48Claudia Oshry:you can make that case at another point in time but like i'm thrilled to bits the toast maybe it's your new house maybe like the i thought oh so first that was my first like the paint i'm allergic to my new house the paint and the fumes and the dust i got air purifiers in every room we had hvac come out and chat gbt said to me like if you spend a few hours outside of the house and it's like better in those hours then it's the house and it's not better in those hours so it's not the house i'm
Read the full transcript
8:12Jackie Oshry:not allergic to my house thankfully chat gbt is like really taking over i went to a bakery yeah that's right because they had frozen yogurt and they had like all these menus it's a new bakery So like they had like lots of signage and like you could just tell it was all made on chat GBT. Like it has that chat. Everything does. Every flyer. Yeah. It's so cheap. Like it kind of makes me like never want to use chat again.
8:35Claudia Oshry:Everything is like so clearly chat. I actually feel like you could tell I had a good summer because like I didn't really use chat GBT a lot. Oh, like in the spring, in the spring I was chatting with chat every minute of every day. Just like a million questions. And I feel like it's like sort of like I've left my therapist. Like I just didn't really need you. And by the way, speaking of something, we haven't even discussed.
9:01Jackie Oshry:The new year is upon us, my sister.
9:03Claudia Oshry:Rosh Hashanah.
9:05Jackie Oshry:And Yom Kippur. Yes. So as you guys know, and thankfully this worked out really nicely for the toasters. Rosh Hashanah is this week. It's actually this weekend. So there's no days off from the toast. Don't worry. It's literally Friday, Saturday, Sunday. And then Yom Kippur is a short like 10 days later. So just know like while you guys are out here living your best life like we are suffering
9:23Claudia Oshry:Yeah but first we celebrate the new year the Jewish New Year's Rosh Hashanah That's this weekend really snuck up on us
9:29Jackie Oshry:But it's kind of the perfect time because today does feel like a new year like a Jan 1 Everyone's back at work the summer's over like we're transitioning to fall I'm wearing my cashmere pants even though it's 80 degrees outside It does have that new year new me resolutionary vibe
9:43Claudia Oshry:Yes it really does What are your resolutions?
9:47Jackie Oshry:Such a good question and as you know I don't really believe in resolutions because I'm constantly working on myself and I don't need
9:53Claudia Oshry:I completely agree it's not like they lay dormant it's not like my issues lay dormant and it wasn't better until Jan 1.
9:59Jackie Oshry:If I'm being serious for the Jewish new year I feel that as you guys know for the last I haven't even really bragged about it and I think that I should like I've become like a little bit more you know observant I've stopped using my phone on the Sabbath and I've really been enjoying it I'd like to continue in that upward direction you know maybe take on some new some new observances you know that's beautiful yeah um always just walking hand in
10:26Claudia Oshry:hand with the lord yeah that's that's one of my resolutions what about you that's beautiful codriel um what would be my right i guess different from a jan one resolution i would say one is like more mindful wellness where i feel that like spiritually in the inner work can start on the Jewish New Year. You know what? This was something I felt before the summer and I feel like it'll come back now that I'm home because like just summer scheduling was different. But it's just like this, this wanting to feel present. Like I feel like, like just everything is flying by. I know. Like you just got to, it's slipping, like you just want to hold on to it.
11:02Claudia Oshry:Slipping through my fingers all the time. And actually something that I was thinking about doing that then I saw Liz Woods actually said the same thing. So like it's obviously a very like real feeling of just like wanting to remember all of this and like enjoy it and and process it is journaling I think that if I started journaling and just like at the end of the day or every few days just like wrote down like what happened little milestones that were reached by the kids and just like how I felt and what we're doing like I feel like it would help me like process within myself that
11:34Jackie Oshry:these things happen today so I'm actually gonna send you a link because I got this baby book that somebody recommended I wasn't sure what a baby book was and what showed up first of all it's so cute like the outside it has like whatever the name and it's all stitched and then inside it's like literally a journal and i didn't realize it's like the first five years so you're supposed to i just thought it was supposed to be like pictures in the sonogram and just like of a baby um i started to fill it out and honestly the questions were so in depth i was seriously like skipping them they were like and my mom felt blank and i don't know like that's too much no no but it's not it actually sounds exactly like what you need because it's like year one year two year three year four and And it's just like things that you want to remember.
12:12Jackie Oshry:And you can put pictures. It's really sweet. But it's like seriously for somebody who has so much time. Like I closed it on page three. I'm like at first it was like birth weight. Okay, seven pounds, two ounces. Yeah. Then they were asking me like.
12:23Claudia Oshry:And the first time I ate a snack. I was like, I don't know.
12:27Jackie Oshry:I don't know.
12:28Claudia Oshry:I'll check it out. But maybe not that. But just like something to just feel like. Not like floating. Like, you know, through life. Grounded. Sounds like you need to meditate. I don't. I guess it's a similar thing but I feel like just for me I'm more of a writer like I'm I think I would enjoy the process of writing Would you say you're a writer girl? No No I wouldn't because I think that that connotes you know that that's your profession
12:54Jackie Oshry:And of course she had a ghostwriter
12:56Claudia Oshry:Oh gosh
12:57Jackie Oshry:I actually don't think Carol Radswell has a ghostwriter if anyone was wondering like my take on the situation Yeah
13:02Claudia Oshry:No I don't either So anyways I think just like working on being present I think journaling is just like an easy fix for that
13:07Jackie Oshry:like very you don't have to like I'm sorry I can't but I know you're so I can't podcast and like own a business with somebody who journals sorry and that's not like a threat or like a negative thing to people who do journal um as you guys know like it's I actually think if anybody in
13:21Claudia Oshry:the world needs to journal it's you really yeah like you can't I actually disagree anything oh
13:28Jackie Oshry:sure for the memory of it all for sure but I think that like it's an expression of feelings and I feel as though I'm extremely expressive like I have many outlets to express of course my podcast I have many like important relationships in my life where I feel comfortable to share those emotions. Oh, no, it's not.
13:41Claudia Oshry:For me, it's not about expression of feelings. It's about like. Yours is more of like a time capsule. Yes. Yes. But also like an in the moment, like I think just writing it down, even if I never read it, just writing it down will make it like. Except journals are like often admissible in court.
14:01Jackie Oshry:Do you know what I mean? Like Lindsay Clancy's notes. Did she have notes? And then they were just talking about Fauci's journal. Like, it's humiliating. Like, those are your innermost thoughts. And for some reason, they're, like, allowed to be used as evidence. I'm not doing it. And to be honest, no, that's reason enough for me to just not be present in my own life. Right? I'm not doing it. It's like a physical, like, no. It's my brain. Buck off. Honestly, it should be a protected class. Like, you should not be allowed to read someone's journal.
14:27Claudia Oshry:Unless the person.
14:28Jackie Oshry:They confess to the crime.
14:29Claudia Oshry:No, unless the person submits it. Like, here, read my journal. Yes. Maybe that's what was happening.
14:34Jackie Oshry:Prove my state of mind. No, like I often find that journals are like being discussed in media. Nightmare. So like high profile cases, nightmare fuel. Nightmare fuel. So no, I will not be journaling. Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
14:45Claudia Oshry:I'm off the idea.
14:47Jackie Oshry:TV is about to like ramp up. I think Roni is this week. I don't, I'm not going to watch it because anytime I've like gotten caught up in the new Roni, I like regret it. If there's a lot of chatter about it, I will pick it back up. Dancing with the Stars. Yes. So I'm just, I'm excited to get back into my TV routine as well. Like my nights mean so much to me now. Do you know what I mean? Like when the other night Ben like took a two hour phone call at eight o 'clock and he gets in bed. I'm like, do you understand? If we don't have our nights, we don't have anything. Like our nights are our shared time, our alone time.
15:20Jackie Oshry:And yes, we just like watch TV, but like we're cracking up. We're communicating through the TV.
15:25Claudia Oshry:Like, so would you say like all day you're looking forward to cracking up? no I would say all day like I am cracking up oh but you said at night you crack up another thing
15:36Jackie Oshry:going on in media that I just want to like put my um like stick my flag and I just want everyone to know like I am watching the U.S. Open pretty much all day every day I know everything that's going on I really am obsessed with it are you familiar with like the discourse going on about the
15:49Claudia Oshry:influencers I heard about it they were like with ring lights and yeah and so I feel that there's a
15:55Jackie Oshry:discussion to be had about like the behavior at the u.s open and it's all being pinned on the influencers which is not fair because people you know new yorkers it's like tennis is very international sport so yeah wimbledon is like very classy it's a quiet sport we're american it's just like that's kind of anti-american it's anti-american so i think that like a lot of the rowdiness especially like it's a gray goose sponsored event they say that like over a million honey deuces get drank this entire tournament so it's like i think americans are just having a hard time adjusting to the tennis culture and they're like pinning and we can have a conversation about that they're pinning it all on the influencers it's like really sad i don't think it's all their fault influencers i don't think it's all their fault and of course like i saw the girl with the
16:33Claudia Oshry:ring light well maybe that's like the price of free tickets you know because everybody else there has paid for their ticket and like sure you get to go for free but we're everyone's if anything goes wrong it's your fault i think that's like a fair trade if anyone wants to know who i'm rooting
16:47Jackie Oshry:for like just in general page paul no he just got out oh he did yeah he played alcaraz which is just like not fair i saw a couple of really good points from him like on reels and stuff no he played great he should be really proud of himself page looked amazing i was tuning in mostly for her um and he lost to alcaraz like there's no shame in losing to the best player in the world literally um for the men i'm rooting for ben shelton my boyfriend oh and i just thought it's such an interesting fact he has a girlfriend and they like can't get over it because he's like this young hot thing they show her the entire time and of course she's like a very accomplished women's soccer player and then i found out her name is trinity rodman do you know who her dad is yeah tennis rodman's daughter you knew that yeah oh i didn't know that so like nepo but like not really
17:29Claudia Oshry:she says like they do not have a good relationship um that's so i'm sorry i want ben shelton to win
17:35Jackie Oshry:i just want to say and i also found out that like the number one player in the world zverev um like he beats up his girlfriend all the time so and the tennis association like won't do anything about it so obviously not rooting for him and actually in protest last night i watched a women's match and then i turned off like i wanted them to know like you lost my rating they definitely when you put woman beaters on there nielsen made a note and then for the women i'm rooting for jess pagula me too her parents own the buffalo bills like she's a billionaire and she could have just like coasted because if that's me like i'm not doing anything like obviously um no and she's like decided to do something that's like a meritocracy like you have to be the best you can't like nepo your way obviously she grew up with great coaches or whatever um and i just think that's cool i think coco golf will win but i'm happy for just pool if she does too so yeah i'm just like i'm so not like other girls i know everything about sports and if you want to talk about the u.s open like just know i'm i'm available that's great speaking
18:31Claudia Oshry:of sports we went to the marlins game yesterday i saw the marlins played the mets so it felt like the one we should go to the whole family was like split but we were also rooting for both you know like Mets shirts Marlin but you were wearing Mets I'm sorry like you you you can't like you have to be wearing New York well we wore all the Mets gear that we owned and then we needed more gear and there was only Marlins gear to oh right okay that's fair that's so we bought Marlins gear we really like were rooting for both you know I was happy when anytime someone scored um it was really amazing the Miami Marlins stadium is indoors and air conditioned heavenly air conditioned it was
19:07Jackie Oshry:cold i was chilly jackie you need to go to a savannah bananas game like i think that your family would love that but aren't they in savannah no they travel like they play like the minor league
19:18Claudia Oshry:florida team yeah yeah we should you should do their bananas thing when they travel that's a good question do they does it did the other like stadiums have the acoustics and what actually i'm not sure about that but i think so i think so well it was our first time taking the kids to a major league basketball baseball game and it was amazing i'm sure and they had kosher hot dogs so cute it was allies yeah they it was so much allyship yeah allyship allyship um and then the mets like mike piazza wasn't there unfortunately he was not playing mike piazza but better soon i think there are actually more mets fans than marlins fans in the stadium honestly yeah of course so
20:02Jackie Oshry:many it's all transplants it really is but it was it was a great day go marlins a baseball game is a nice way to spend the day especially in an air-conditioned stadium and it's cute that
20:13Claudia Oshry:miami marlins and the miami dolphins you know why because they're both fish
20:21Jackie Oshry:and then what about the panthers they're not involved no they're not the the the florida sharks no more marine life yeah that's cute i don't know marlins just like not giving cool
20:35Claudia Oshry:yeah they have some work to do in like the cool department don't you find like marlin if i don't also like you saw the merch shop like it's a mess like like the branding is a mess yeah that's where i feel like new york has every other team they always do like they do like kith collabs and ralph loran like all their merch is like sick no and like they have so many different logos and colors and like the marlins color like should be that teal color and they sort of like straight away from that they have like a lot of like like 305 like um like pink and black like they don't
21:07Jackie Oshry:know what they're doing i hate pink and black as a color combo no me too they need to bring in a
21:11Claudia Oshry:branding expert other than that we had an amazing time that's great at loan depot park loan depot or home depot loan depot l-o-a-n oh like a bank yeah where you could a depot for it's giving
21:26Jackie Oshry:like crypto.com arena some of these names are terrible loan depot park makes crypto.com arena
21:32Claudia Oshry:sound normal well what's weird is that like when they came up with crypto.org arena we were all
21:37Jackie Oshry:like what the heck is going now it's like not that crazy no i'm going to crypto arena like that's not weird loan depot is weird it's just weird when it replaces like a legacy story it was the staple center like it's been in every movie like it's not gonna catch on but also like does staples have any money no it's a sign of the times it is like staples in store shopping for school supplies going over to crypto yeah now i think we should dive in we have so much i know i can only not
22:04Claudia Oshry:talk about alex dilly and dally i know but i could dilly and dally with you all day long of course and we have literally all day every day to dilly dally like because the other dilly dallying is over. You know what I mean? Exactly. So without further ado to do it is time for the Fast Five stories that you need to know. And the Fast Five stories that you need to know are brought

So what if the biggest problem with your supplements isn't what's in them? It's whether or not your body absorbs them. A lot of people assume that if you're taking your supplements, they're getting the benefits. But unfortunately, the reality is that the vast majority of supplements have very low absorption rates.
23:17Jackie Oshry:And that's where the absorption company comes in. They are singularly focused on solving the biggest problem in supplements, which is low absorption. Most supplements actually absorb at less than 16%, meaning over 84 % of the supplements that you take could be completely wasted. 77 % of Americans take supplements every day. We spend$60 billion a year on supplements. And yet over 95 % of us are still deficient in nutrients. So the supplements we're taking all day, every day do not absorb well enough to work. And the absorption company uses cutting edge technology to make supplements with pharmaceutical grade absorption, which are up to 149 times better than standard supplements.
23:49Jackie Oshry:They have a ton of really popular ones. The WLP1, which is a daily weight management solution, can support weight management with ingredients clinically proven to increase natural GLP1 by 321%. Obviously, everyone's talking about that right now. And so that's one of their really popular products. Whatever supplement you're looking for, the absorption company is just a great option. They have magnesium, CoQ10. Whether you're looking for a WLP1, magnesium, berberine, CoQ10, or dozens of other science-backed supplements, start taking supplements that your body can actually absorb and go to absorbmore.com.

So whether you're on a journey because like you're starting to feed your kids or you yourself are just like becoming much more conscious of your ingredients and what's in your food, a lot of people forget when they're overhauling their like diet about condiments.
24:56Jackie Oshry:Everything on like the refrigerator door, condiments, sauces, salad dressings, they're made with some of the worst ingredients and I know we all love them. And Primal Kitchen understood that sort of dichotomy and they're helping. So they make Caesar dressing, ranch, like literally all your favorite sauces, condiments, and they just make them better. They make them with avocado oil. So if you're paying attention to what you're eating this year, do not forget about your sauces and condiments. Primal Kitchen will be a go-to brand for delicious sauces and condiments that are just made with real, honest ingredients.
25:21Jackie Oshry:So they're crafted with high-quality real ingredients like avocado oil. It's none of the ingredients that you don't want, like their Caesar dressing. It's made with avocado oil. It has no seed oils. It's sugar-free. There's no dairy. They have tons of other dressings, sauces, condiments, and pantry staples. People are obsessed with their buffalo sauce. 28:37Claudia Oshry:Thank you, turts and conditions. Let's dive into Earl Meets World. Earl Meets World, eight-episode series dropped on Friday. Alex Earl is sharing her family, her feuds, her friends. So let's talk about it in stages.
28:54Jackie Oshry:I want to talk about the show and then of course we have to talk about like Alex Hooper. Bits and bobs yeah. So the show was really not what I expected and overall I really enjoyed it. I love Alex and I will say probably my biggest takeaway was that like the family and the family dynamic is actually not at all what I thought. You guys know people always say like Claudia stop talking about Ashley Dupree. Like I can't. It is the craziest thing ever and the fact that they have this blended family and that the mom is always with them. It's so beautiful. It's like not really what I thought it was. It actually makes me feel better.
29:24Jackie Oshry:It's like a little bit more human because no, there's a lot of weird dynamics under the surface and on the surface. And even watching, I feel like they probably noticed things that maybe they didn't, they have said that like the show was actually really good for their family communication.
29:37Claudia Oshry:Cause they're forced to like that conversation that Alex and Ashley had in Aspen, they would have never had if there weren't cameras and they would have just like swept it under the rug and like kept on moving forward.
29:46Jackie Oshry:Yeah. And I just feel like my opinion on a lot of people, but before and after the show is so different. Like Ashley, I actually think for me, and I've seen mixed reviews, like her Q score went up for me. Obviously, like what she did was bad. Like we can't even, whatever. But like hearing her talk about it, just like being a young girl trying to, like it humanized it a little bit. And I think that she's like ate a lot of shit for many years. And then also my opinion of her dad is like he's not who I thought he was.
30:13Claudia Oshry:I know you had such like high expectations for him.
30:17Jackie Oshry:I thought he was like this real like protector and real genius. And like the second he swooped in to start managing her, things got better. But she said on the show and then she clarified again on TikTok that like he has managed her the whole time. So he was involved in the Alex Cooper deal. And I've always thought that like whoever encouraged her to do the Alex Cooper deal, like seriously, he's not smart. And it turns out that was him. So he and then he made like a lot of like weird comments about like buying her boobs and seeing the girls nude photos. And he's obviously just like kind of like weird, like Jersey dad.
30:46Jackie Oshry:like I don't know he's just not at all what I thought he was he's not the man you thought no and maybe I put too much pressure on him but like you did I just feel like my opinion and even Alex like I feel like I only know her from TikTok and social media and she's like so as far as it looks to me like out there right like almost extroverted and she's like snarky and she does like fun content and party and the girl we saw on the show was like so emotional and so serious and like really took her business so seriously so I just feel like everything I thought I knew about the Earls even the mom. I thought, oh, the mom is so healed.
31:16Jackie Oshry:The mom is so grown. No, she's just one of us.
31:19Claudia Oshry:No, no, she's not over it. So I think my expectations going in were like a little bit different because I only follow Alex on Instagram and she doesn't share as much as she does on TikTok. So who she was on the show was like really who I thought she was. And I just want to say, I thought the show was amazing, amazing. And I watch a lot of reality TV. In fact, it's like the only thing I watch these days. And it has started to feel like we've gotten to a place where people like don't know how to make reality tv anymore like every show like starts and stops and and is it doesn't do what it's supposed to do and I thought this show was so great because it was like Alex and her family are just living their life and there's cameras like they're going to Aspen regardless if there's cameras or not they're going to Wellington for Penelope's show like they're just they do so many things she's at a stage in her life where she's like ripe for a reality show because they're just so busy and I feel like sometimes when people are like parents or whatever like you're home all day there's not yeah we're not going out and if we are we're doing it like for the show and what's funny is she actually went on therapist and she said she was like for the next season I actually might do it differently like this season we just scheduled our lives and had cameras follow us but like next season I think I might carve out three months and like film and I think that would be such a mistake that's when you get to a place of like people are going on trips for the show going out to dinner making parties like for the show and everything just feels like a fake world whereas I can't remember the last time we just like followed someone with cameras and she was just doing the same thing that she would do with or without
32:45Jackie Oshry:cameras so that's so funny because I feel like one of my biggest criticisms of just the production was that like this is a girl who is invited to seriously like only the upper echelon coolest events ever and I feel like we didn't really see that we kept seeing her like recapping those events and like we saw her and Ashton go to fashion week and we didn't see them at one singular party or fashion show. And I know obviously like getting your credentials to get your camera crew to the Chanel show is not easy. But like when they were in Paris, they just like walked through the park. Like, yes.
33:16Claudia Oshry:And you said that to me. I, that was one of your criticisms like before I watched the episode. And when I watched the episode, it didn't bother me at all. You want to know why? Because Paris wasn't a whole episode. It was 15 minutes within an episode. And it's like, okay, so they showed us some of the social media content of them in Paris. And now they're in a park talking about it. And then we're moving on. Like other shows, they would make Paris a three episode arc. And that's what I liked about this. It's just like, we're moving, we're grooving, we're doing things. We're not like, it's not like the big trip to Wellington.
33:44Claudia Oshry:Like everything just like was very fast paced the way that her life is. And I thought it was so enjoyable to watch because it felt like we're really just flies on the wall of her life.
33:54Jackie Oshry:Yes, it just felt a lot of the times like they were recapping like the stuff, the viral stuff, like the things we would want to see behind the scenes.
34:00Claudia Oshry:Like take us with you. Like I would like to go. I guess but then I saw like they went to the club in Aspen right and that was like you saw that she
34:08Jackie Oshry:could film there because that was um palm tree and like that's her like she's in business with
34:12Claudia Oshry:them so obviously like they let her film yeah and then I saw a girl had posted on tiktok like I was at Alex Earl filming at Snow Lodge I think it was and the amount of space that a camera crew takes up is a lot I don't expect that like parties and fashion shows are going to let them in I think she did as good of a job as anyone could do like making us feel like we are there there were so many things that I liked about the show and again I think it's like different expectations because I don't know her as well as you do but like all the Braxton stuff felt so like heartfelt by the way and so I was so surprised by her I think the word people use for her it's like she's so authentic she's so genuine she's so relatable and those things are true but I also found her to be like so earnest Jackie when she got her two results and the first thing she said is like I know you
35:00Jackie Oshry:guys are gonna kill me but like in moments like this i just like wish i could talk to braxton like i actually felt so upset for her like first of all that's such an honest thing to say like and i know what she means like honest she she wants like a partner like there's so much going on in her life good and bad and like you need someone like it's not that you need a man it's like to share your life with someone the good parts and the hard parts is such a blessing so to have that and then to go to not having it like i totally understood what she was saying i just couldn't
35:22Claudia Oshry:believe she said it out loud stuff even with rayal like she wanted to share her wins with him too and So the whole show, like, and most people would not put all of that on a show because they would one, not want the other person. You want to act like you're moved on and over it and cool. And two, like you, it's embarrassing to like always be talking about, and you think maybe it's even boring. Oh, everything that happens. And I'm still talking about Braxton. I found it to just be like so earnest and honest. And I don't think most people would do that in the final scene, which I think has everyone shook.
35:56Claudia Oshry:I was shook because the amount of maturity that it took for her to just call him up and I think it's also confidence because she's so gorgeous that like you could just call anyone and be like I still like you um but just emotional maturity to be like I still hold out hope that we could get back together like can you tell me if that's possible and she said it like with a straight face on camera bearing her heart and soul to the world so I agree with you like the honesty and the
36:24Jackie Oshry:confidence that it takes but the question she was asking was actually not mature and it really pissed me off because like you you literally said to him like is it oh are you I don't want to get back together right now but is the possibility in the future basically being like wait for me because I think he's really ready to settle down and she's just not and I found the question to be like really unfair to Braxton especially after like they didn't really show this so much in the show but there was a lot in the press about like Alex being spotted with guys the F1 driver of course Tom Brady so was like after putting Braxton through all of that now you're asking like can we get back together but like only when I'm ready and like not yet I found that question actually annoying for Braxton
36:59Claudia Oshry:I guess no but she's just like I think for her she needs this period of growth and self-discovery and I think for her she hopes that once she grows into that person like she can be with Braxton and it's like you can grow into that person with Braxton should I and she's just asking him like should I not even be thinking that like I think that's just very maybe it's not a fair question
37:20Jackie Oshry:to ask but it's real no it's real but it is unfair to braxton and it's like should i forget you or
37:26Claudia Oshry:should i be healing faster so that i feel like the show was proof that it's so much better to
37:31Jackie Oshry:be broken up with than to be the person who broke up because braxton had really no choice but to move on and i feel like he did and he just like picked himself up by his bootstraps whereas like alex was sort of left with the questioning of like was that the right decision when it's out of your control like you almost you have no choice but to accept it but when you were the one who did it Like you just go back over and honestly, I would so much rather have been Braxton in that situation than be Alex.
37:54Claudia Oshry:Yes, of course. And also like I'm really happy for Braxton because when him and Alex got together, like he was the butt of every joke for a period. Like what kind of name is Braxton? Like when he left Sophia Colbo and started dating Alex Earl and no one thought he was good enough for her. And like this show is just amazing for him.
38:09Jackie Oshry:Yeah, like except like I love that they left us on the cliffhanger of like, oh, well, maybe they're together right now or whatever. um and then over the weekend there was like some drama that pretty much like they're not no they're not together and like vibes are bad because he was spotted out with this girl maggie who is the ex-girlfriend of the f1 driver that alex was spotted out with in london and she's like making snarky tiktoks now like copying alex honestly the girl muguey muguey the girl is so pretty i don't know her she's obviously like a european socialite like i don't know her she's the prettiest girl i've ever seen in my life and it's weird to see somebody so cool and pretty like acting like such a loser like why are you coming for alex are all like going out with your ex-boyfriend's new girlfriend's ex-boyfriend is like such a jealous like not cool thing to do and she looks
38:48Claudia Oshry:so cool to me but i know but like what if they're actually like a good match because i feel like braxton is mature he's not just like doing petty stuff like this and maybe like him and magooey like if and it's like if if alex likes braxton and alex likes landon and landon likes alex
39:03Jackie Oshry:then then braxton will like magoo yeah no for sure like that's like shania twain you know when you swap husbands yes um she's so pretty i just like need her to stop like the tiktok she made copying
39:13Claudia Oshry:Alex like I did not like that but also like even the scene in Aspen where she reads the Dumois sighting about Braxton and Olivia Jade like most people would not show that they would not like and the fact that Olivia Jade's just like name on the show and Alex admitting that she has stalked every single person that Braxton has been spotted to talking to like it's just so honest yeah and like and almost like shameless in the way that you need to be shameless to be interesting on reality TV without exploiting yourself. And your family. And I don't feel like she did that.
39:46Jackie Oshry:I agree. I think that what's commendable about the show is that they're obviously this family with like, not secrets, but like skeletons and just like embarrassing things. Everyone has it. And I think that a lot of people in the spirit of becoming rich and famous would exploit all that. And because I think maybe they are independently wealthy, like they're not that desperate. So they're like, we'll make a show and we'll talk about stuff, but we're not willing to throw each other under the bus. We're not willing to exploit our family history. And I feel like even the embarrassing parts, like, of course, TJ, you know what else really pissed me off about TJ?
40:17Jackie Oshry:Is that like, all of this is his fault, right? He's the one. Yes, Ashley was young and she knew what she was doing was wrong. But like, he was the one who was married with kids. Like this whole thing, this whole dynamic is 100, fine, 99.9%. TJ's fault. 1 % Ashley's fault. And all they're infighting, all the interpersonal issues are his fault. And he's like, well, you need to talk to Ashley. It's like, well, you need to talk to Ashley. Like this is all his fault. And he literally leaves the room for the girls to work it out. And I feel like one of the biggest issues in their dynamic is that, of course, I can never remember the mom's name.
40:50Jackie Oshry:Alyssa. She does her best to like, you know, be copacetic. And there's only so much she can do because the girls are so close with the stepkids. The kids. So she does what she can. But like anytime Ashton and Alex have a problem with Ashley, they go to their mom. So, of course, the mom who already has tons of reason to hate Ashley is now like, yeah, I hate her even more. but then I think the girls have this like really genuine relationship with Ashley and they they have a desire to work it out and they do work it out and so Alyssa is just like standing left there with like the pile of problems only the hatred they're also not going to go to her with the
41:20Claudia Oshry:things that they like about Ashley because that's also offensive and that's just the truth of the situation and that's real and so seeing it play out it's like oh well of course they're not like
41:29Jackie Oshry:so harmoniously blended and you know what I was relieved to see that they had issues because it
41:33Claudia Oshry:wasn't when I what I thought it was it's not normal it's not and it's not I also think that Alex and this show and this family like because she comes from wealth I think that you know a lot of times and I feel like when I think about like the D 'Amelio sisters or just like other shows and other like child stars who like bring their family up it like becomes very unhealthy because it's like the minute you stop working we're all screwed if you get in trouble like we could all be screwed even if it's like we take a trip you paid for the whole trip we're gonna kiss your ass because of course you paid for the trip I think the fact that it that her family has money and they could take this or not take it makes it just a much healthier dynamic because they're not like so desperate even when they went to Wellington they're all staying in a house like I don't think Alex paid for the house because if she had like it would just would have been all the conversations what the dynamic is different it's so different and I feel like people are comparing them to the Kardashians a lot which I think is a really good comparison I think Alex like is Kim on could be the next Kim I really do and I think a huge part of that is also the Kardashians had money she was desperate to be famous but not desperate on the balls of her ass to pay her bills and her whole family is like go and sell yourself or else we're on the streets and so I think watching them be on a show together just like be in this business together there's just like a level of desperation that's not there that can sometimes be unhealthy for families
42:54Jackie Oshry:A thousand percent. Them being rich is like probably one of the best things to happen to them for a million reasons.
42:58Claudia Oshry:When they took the private plane to Aspen. It's like it's not it's not for sure that Alex paid for that.
43:04Jackie Oshry:No I feel like Sip Margs probably paid for it because that was like a big Sip Margs event.
43:07Claudia Oshry:Yeah I'm sure like someone paid for it but it's not like everything. Every house. Is on Alex. Every trip is Alex paid for. It's on her back. She feels like her family's indebted to her. They feel like they can't say anything to her because they can say they say to her. You know no one's scared of her.
43:19Jackie Oshry:No no one's scared of her. I do feel like When it comes to the Kardashian comparisons Like a lot of the siblings have lots of personalities And I'm sure as they get older Maybe they'll continue to be like Kendall and Kylie
43:31Claudia Oshry:Kendall and Kylie in the first season were just like little kids Kendall and Kylie are Isabel and Penelope Penelope is the Kylie, Isabel is the Kendall I feel that
43:43Jackie Oshry:Ashton
43:47Jackie Oshry:Like I just found some of her stuff a little boring Which isn't a crime
43:50Claudia Oshry:You sort of ruined Ashton for me. I wasn't really noticing her.
43:53Jackie Oshry:Well, I feel like they're trying to make it like Earl Girls, like the sisters. It's really not the Alex show. I feel like Ashton had just as much screen time as Alex did. And I just found the scenes a little less compelling. Like, I want a model. Like, okay. But I love her. And I feel like the person I follow her is like, I feel like who she is online is much more interesting. Maybe it's like a nerves thing or just like it's not translating. I just found a lot of it like boring. Like the dating stuff.
44:18Claudia Oshry:I don't know why. I just found. Oh yeah. She keeps saying the same thing. She's sort of just like Debbie Downer. I wasn't noticing her or minding her at all. And then like you, you, you, you made me notice and mind. And then also I watched a bit of therapist with Jake Shane and I found her presence to be like really disruptive to the episode, honestly. However, in searching for what people think about the show, I'm seeing a lot of love for Ashton and I'm happy for her. And I don't even like want to like say I didn't like her. No, I think she's very Gen Z and like, maybe that's just not us and like just the vibes are different and what's so funny is like i alex is obviously like my favorite of course because she's the star of the show and she's such a queen i could look at her all day but like weirdly i relate to ashley i'm an ashley a mother of three and also ashley i i really like ashley and i think that's a very unpopular opinion because when i was seeing i saw a lot of love for ashley and a lot of like dislike for ashley and i was like impressed by Ashley first of all the way she navigates this dynamic is Queenie I agree trying to blend a family of like people who hate her and like never giving up even when the girls
45:22Jackie Oshry:are sticking toothpaste agreed she is Meredith Blake grown up no I completely agree she for me had the most increase in a Q score since watching and then when it comes to like the things that she
45:34Claudia Oshry:says and the advice that she gives the girls I find her to be very sensible yeah it's the same sort of advice I would give personally and maybe you disagree with Ashley and the things that she personal choices but personally personally I don't I think her insistence that the girls care less about what people say and continue to do what they think is right and not like live with this pressure and and just like the weight of the world crashing down on you like that is my mentality as well and I I found she was a woman with good sense yeah I did and I like a woman with good
46:04Jackie Oshry:sense I actually think that the girls can aside from the things she did when she was of course the things I feel like the girls can sense that in her and I think she really understands their world like she's also becoming like her own little influencer but she's just younger so I think she gets it and I think the girls are actually like naturally attracted to her and that makes it like even more unfortunate for the mom because I feel like the mom's sort of detached anytime they're having like conversations about business unless it was the big Alex Cooper conversation at the end but like they go to Ashley and TJ and it's not just TJ like Ashley's in the room I think that they really respect her opinion which I just think makes the dynamic even harder for the mom to like be involved the dynamic is set up just not to benefit Alyssa and that's so unfortunate because she's the injured party yeah but it's like yeah it's true Ashley should be able to go on vacation with after 17 years with her whole family including the stepkids Ashton and Alex and not have TJ and
46:52Claudia Oshry:Alyssa come but it's like excuse me those are my kids too so it's just it's really unfortunate for Alyssa yeah like you crash this party like this is your penance almost yeah but it's also like It's also Ashley's first time on earth. This is her family. These are her children. She wants to have somewhat of a, some normal family experiences, but I guess that's what you get when you are with a married man.
47:16Jackie Oshry:Correct. Overall, I think the show was great and I think it was so good for Alex. I think she's a great role model. And I think now we can talk about Alex Cooper. I think to see her go through the genesis, when she said, actually my heart broke in a million pieces when she was like, my kids are going to see that. Talking about that. And I was just like such a mature, she's only 25, like such a mature thing to say. And I think that it's actually really good because obviously she's like sexy and whatever. But like, I think that she, as she's growing up, is becoming a little bit more conscious of like her digital footprint.
47:43Jackie Oshry:And I think she's a really good role model for young girls. And yeah, the, like the honesty, everything she showed us was just, I think, setting a really good example for young girls.
47:53Claudia Oshry:Yeah. And so we can get into the Alex Cooper stuff. Now going into the show, everyone was like, the show is going to be where she sets it all right. and it was funny to see how she sort of was like just like mad and kicking herself that the thing
48:06Jackie Oshry:got so big no and by the way everyone was like alex is being so strategic so i love what she's doing i love there was no strategy she was just like should i should i not and the longer she
48:17Claudia Oshry:didn't it made it feel like there was this big thing coming and at the end of the day there's not a big thing there's not a big story or anything it's it's what we said you know it's a bad working relationship it's you know two people who shouldn't have worked together the dynamic never worked and then personalities and clashes and insults and this and that but not like one big thing and what the fuck was Brianna chicken fry talking about like when she says it
48:40Jackie Oshry:like it was everyone around yeah no if I'm Alex Earl I hate Brianna chicken fry yeah so I and this
48:48Claudia Oshry:is what I always thought it was so like there's not nothing that's like super shocking about it
48:52Jackie Oshry:I thought there was one really shocking piece of information, which was Zandra. And I love that they blurted her mouth. But you literally, if you read lips, Zandra. Like, it was so obvious.
49:01Claudia Oshry:And there's only one person. Oh, I didn't even read the lips. When she goes, she went to someone from college. She got dirt on me. It's like, oh, Zandra, the girl from your college that you're, like, not super close with anymore.
49:09Jackie Oshry:And I have to say, I have enormous respect for Zandra. Because Zandra gets a lot of shit online for the ending of her friendship with Alex Earl. Nobody knows what happened. People come up with theories. They say that she sent a naked picture to Braxton. They say that she punched her in the tit. like there are all these different rumors and she just sort of lets that and so you get an opportunity to like work with Alex Earl's number one op and you not only ignore her but you tell Alex Earl about it like if I'm Alex Earl I'm being a lot nicer to Zandra yeah she is a real one so
49:35Claudia Oshry:what happened was you know the the relationship at Unwell was not like right for Alex she didn't get the support that she needed it kick-started with the actual call her daddy episode where Alex I didn't realize that that like we knew that it was like uncomfortable and she asked her inappropriate questions but I the family didn't speak for three months because aside from the sex questions that happened at the end of the episode where they're like drinking all day the beginning of the episode was like Alex's going back home childhood they went back home they did like a whole you know deep dive into this crazy story that was like so scandalized and I guess that was like Ashley said it was the hardest time of her life after Alex Earl went on call her daddy and to be honest surfaced all of this like net when it comes to licks versus Lex
50:15Jackie Oshry:Like I'm hard, I think, team Lix. But I felt like the family in that scene was being kind of unfair to Alex Cooper. It's like they were just putting a lot of their shit on this one interview. And I don't even know what it was that Lix said in that interview that was so upsetting to the group. Because I thought she, they talked about it so briefly. And you could tell Alex was like uncomfortable. And it was just like, we knew the story. And she just kind of told it to us. And she said it was hard for her. Like it wasn't that salacious. so I think that maybe some like you know online people knew that that that was her backstory but I don't think she's ever like told the story spoken about it yeah so it was putting that out
51:00Claudia Oshry:there for the first time and then I think also it's like some no many people are like well don't be surprised that she asked like sex questions it's the sex podcast she was a fan of Alex Cooper She said it was her idol. She knew it's like the Gluck Gluck show. That's like what Dave Portnoy said, which is a good point. Like, so she shouldn't have been so surprised by the sex questions. But it's like, you don't get to ask like the sex questions and also do the like Meredith Vieira deep dive into the family. Like which podcast is this? Well, I think that that's sort of emblematic of like Alex Cooper, like and her brand changing.
51:29Claudia Oshry:When it's both, then you're just like exploiting every aspect of someone's personality.
51:33Jackie Oshry:Yes. So on the one hand, what a lot of people are saying and I agree with is like, you said this is your idol. This is someone you love. Like it's the Gluck Gluck show. Like why are we surprised that you're being asked if you're an anal virgin? And that's why I'm like so almost disappointed in your dad for letting you do this. Like you say he's this protector. And how can – But then on the other hand, it's not the Gluck Gluck show. On the other hand with Alex Hubert, just like be a fucking human being. Stop asking a 21-year-old girl if she's an anal virgin. Like that's disgusting and predatory.
51:57Jackie Oshry:But also like it's not the Gluck Gluck show. You didn't ask Kamala if she's an anal virgin. Well, no, you have to think of the time. You have to think of the time. She was still very much like in the process of transitioning. She used to have people on more seriously to talk about like their traumas and then like, okay. And then at the end she would be like, okay, let's get into sex. Are you an anal virgin? She was like slowly transitioning like the anal out of the show.
52:19Claudia Oshry:I guess.
52:19Jackie Oshry:But it was a transitional period.
52:21Claudia Oshry:But she had already like found it unwell because Alex Earl was a part of, she's a businesswoman. This isn't her barstool era. This is, you know, what year is this? 2023?
52:31Jackie Oshry:I have no idea. But she had just graduated college, so maybe 22.
52:37Claudia Oshry:22? Okay. I'm just saying, like, it's not, it is the Gluckluck show, and it's not.
52:44Jackie Oshry:It was. I'm sorry. Like, it was.
52:46Claudia Oshry:And there's also a major difference between talking about your own personal sex life and talking about someone else's.
52:53Jackie Oshry:And I'm sorry. There's also just a difference when a girl who's younger than you, who really looks up to you, and who you're about to embark on a working journey with, asks you to take something out of the show that was sexual and made her uncomfortable and you don't do it, sorry, you're in the wrong, I don't care what the brand of your show is. Like she asked you to take it out and you didn't. You're like, it's funny. Like that's just, that is predatory behavior. And that's just such a bad way to start a working relationship with someone who you want to have a good relationship with. Alex was doing all these unwell events and really using Alex Earl's clout to like sell tickets and get people to show up.
53:24Jackie Oshry:And that's what Alex Earl was saying. Like I felt used. Like she didn't look after me in the way that I thought she would. no it's like yeah she was gluck gluck but she was also like this girl boss girl boss girl boss and
53:34Claudia Oshry:you would expect like your girl boss to look out for you yeah so so that relationship goes south when alex or wants to stop doing the podcast and she found out via the media that she was dropped yeah she talked about it like more on jake shane why she like the podcast was not right for her and it was actually she made like some really good points and she was like jake doesn't feel this way because it's different but like i just felt empty i felt like i was exploiting every single aspect of my personal life for stories for tea she said Alex Cooper even suggested that she not like get a boyfriend and date Braxton so that she would have like more to share on the show about her dating life and her sex life and she was like dating life yeah I'll share but sex life no I'm not sharing that so like that's a very clear obvious like delineation yeah so so also she's like carting around all of this equipment to Europe and everywhere and then she goes on Jake Shane show and she sees he has a producer she's like who's that she's talking to Josh Richards and Gabby in Europe.
54:26Claudia Oshry:This is what she said on Therapist. And they're like, wait, why are you screwing in the microphones yourself? Like, where is your help? And so she had no help, no support. She's hating doing this. She feels empty. She's running on zero. And so she doesn't want to do the show anymore. And I think it was a little bit of a back and forth about getting her show back. Well, that was interesting what she said on Therapist
54:44Jackie Oshry:because I remember when Alex Cooper was responding to comments being like, Alex owns her IP. She can do whatever she wants with it. And Alex Earl was like, I didn't. And then the next morning they gave it to me. Like, just very manipulative.
54:54Claudia Oshry:yeah or it's like she did own it but like they had some sort of keys to it that once you know it was over then they gave it back so it ended badly they should have never worked together period but like I think a lot of the signs were there for Alex Earl you can I I can fault both of them honestly it used to be like oh neither of them could be wrong now I'm like you're both
55:13Jackie Oshry:wrong yeah a thousand percent wrong Alex Earl is wrong for for going there like what is naive and she should have had better people working for and with her and she said that too she said we have the same people working for us, I think, in terms of like managers and agents. So it's like, I didn't want to make it weird. And I just felt like everybody was like telling me to do the right thing. So she's not even and made poor decision making in business. And Alex Cooper is just not. And she just didn't protect Alex. And the thing is, is that all of this has caused so much trouble for Alex Cooper.
55:43Jackie Oshry:I think it's really affected her overall likeness very poorly. And I think that she should have, she went into, the way that I see it is that she went into business with Alex Earl because she needed to have Alex Earl on the show. Like it was becoming so, back then she was not doing Katie Couric, you know, she was doing like internet, internet, and Alex Earl was like the biggest thing on the internet. And she's so Alex Cooper, like, why aren't you having her on the show? and it's because you know a younger you it's threatening and and so it wasn't until that she could financially benefit from it that she had her on and you know what she should have just had her on the show it's one fucking episode and she would have avoided all all this trouble
56:19Claudia Oshry:because now everyone's looking Alex Cooper's crime is like she is a savage businesswoman she's not here to mentor you she's not here to hold your hand she is here to do business and and business and personal they're separate and so that's her crime and Alex Earl's crime is that she was naive and she was also blind like what Alex Cooper did to Sophia she did in broad daylight like let's talk about the blindness like so and her team and her and her dad and the people who work for both of them it was no secret that this was a big sex show and this was no secret that
56:48Jackie Oshry:this is a person who was willing to throw her best friend under the bus for business so you think she's going to protect you she's on you for five minutes and you are and I still think
56:55Claudia Oshry:I still think Alex Earl is not mad enough uh it at the people who work for both her dad not no her dad oh i separate the people who work for both of them she's still even after unwell
57:09Jackie Oshry:by the way they shared the same agent up until last week and that's because alex cooper left
57:13Claudia Oshry:the agency right right so even when the unwell thing went south alex earl said she didn't like talk about she didn't do like a big story tea time because they have a lot of people in common she has said she is scared of alex cooper people have told her to be scared of her alex cooper has said be scared of me and so she just like sort of moved on and didn't say anything but it was obvious to everyone that something weird happened and she was like like stuff and repose then then I think like you know some months go by and she gets a little brave and she sees people on the internet like talking shit about the person that she hates so she likes a little bit here and there
57:44Jackie Oshry:empowering when you see people talking negatively about the person that you hate right so she starts
57:50Claudia Oshry:to just engage a little bit and like just drop breadcrumbs not with the thought of like one day I'm going to tell the whole story. But like, oh yeah, I do like that. I do agree with that. Like, like, like, like, like. Which is why I found when Alex Cooper was like, just say it. That was such a sleigh because there is nothing to just say. It's vibes and it's bad dealings. But she really put her on the spot. And that's why it was like, I thought when Alex Cooper made that Coachella video, people thought it was like crazy. And like, what is she doing? it's like no she's really like forcing this girl to like like you know she's making this bigger
58:28Jackie Oshry:than it is wait we also have to talk about harry jowsey getting involved and to be honest i actually feel like that was really bad for alex cooper and if i'm alex cooper i'm annoyed at harry jowsey because harry jowsey took a screenshot of that text message that alex shared on the show that she had sent to alex cooper um and she didn't send it oh she wrote no she never said on the
58:44Claudia Oshry:show that she sent okay i didn't think it was a good text i i'm glad because also dave asked dave asked Alex Cooper he did a tea by the track and um he asked Alex Cooper if she ever got that text
58:55Jackie Oshry:and she said no got it okay so Harry Jowsey there were a lot of things she almost did apparently
59:00Claudia Oshry:she made a video at Coachella like a you know a response video and didn't post it and then in
59:06Jackie Oshry:hindsight she wished that she even though I feel that a lot of people tuned into the show Earl Meets World for this Alex Cooper drama and I think net net it really benefited her and I think it was sort of it bookended the entire first episode and last episode so she kind of needed it So I'm actually glad that she did it the way that she did, because I think it made the show a lot better. But Harry Jousey just sort of said, like, this is not fair. You're coming for a pregnant woman. She's about to give birth. And it's like, well, I actually agree with Harry Jousey. Pregnant women are off limits.
59:31Jackie Oshry:But Alex Cooper literally started this and she was pregnant. So it's like Alex Earl has every right to say her piece. And also, I think it then puts into perspective for a lot of people Harry Jousey's relationship with Alex Cooper. Because when you take a look at Unwell at a glance, like, it was supposed to be this place for, like, female voices. and it's like Madeline Argy gone, Alex Earl gone, Grace O'Malley, like what the hell happened to her? And it's like the only person who's benefited from this has his own TV show and it's Harry Jowsey. So it's like, this is your girl boss, girl boss. Meanwhile, she's got one friend in the industry and it's a man.
1:00:01Claudia Oshry:Yeah, I would also say like Let's Marry Harry was bad for women. Agreed, net net. I would say that was a bad show for women.
1:00:07Jackie Oshry:So overall, I think where the internet nets out is team Alex Earl.
1:00:14Claudia Oshry:Yeah, even though like, I think people are probably disappointed by the overall Alex Cooper.
1:00:21Jackie Oshry:You know what? I don't agree. And I was when I saw people saying, we knew what it was going to be. And it was literally what we said. She asked for things. I don't know. I thought it was actually a lot juicier. Maybe just hearing it from her lips. And her coming from this really sad, kind of naive place. And the Zandra of it all. You know what? I felt sufficiently fed.
1:00:42Claudia Oshry:Oh, that's so interesting. Yeah, you know me. I'm like always complaining. I didn't think there was going to be my expectations were pretty low so like I didn't feel let down but I feel like other people especially because we're in this business so like we had a pretty good sense of what probably went wrong I think other people who thought there was like a crazy story who were hanging on Brianna Chicken Fries every last word are like what happened I need Brianna Chicken Fries to come to the front what were you talking about? what was she talking about? no clue like because it's just you know bits and bobs like there wasn't a big thing scandal it was just bad so so that's what happened there and uh yeah at the end of the day if you watch the whole show like it's just not even about that no it's not but that is why i personally tuned in the minute it was dropped bad for earl that she had gotten herself into this place where she had to like come back swinging she doesn't want to take a big shot at Alex Cooper and she doesn't want to let everyone down but but when she finally posted that like a strip poll video which was as stupid as I thought agreed you know like and that's when she posted I was like wow this girl just doesn't move in the same way that I would like I would be like goodbye sister video like here's what happened and she's just like so unserious but it's not that she's unserious she's just like yeah no and she's just like doing it on her own And like, you know, sometimes you're just like so frozen, like with fear and pressure that like the only thing to do is nothing.
1:02:13Claudia Oshry:Yeah. And so like the Alex Cooper conversations are like backup. And Sophia Franklin's about to start her book tour.
1:02:19Jackie Oshry:So I don't think it's getting better. I do think she's like has given birth or is like minutes from giving birth.
1:02:26Claudia Oshry:Really? Yeah.
1:02:28Jackie Oshry:Oh, I feel like. So I do like want to give grace and like lay off.
1:02:32Claudia Oshry:but um if like if there's a person who deserves to be heard it's sophia franklin i think alex cooper and alex earl are both going to continue to be very successful um separately you know it's very taylor and kim yeah they are the taylor and kim they will operate in different worlds till the
1:02:52Jackie Oshry:end of time both having extreme success and that's it yeah you know and oh sally was on the show how
1:03:01Claudia Oshry:funny is that for me like my favorite earl is a huge it was crazy she was working for i know i guess like her job just snapchat is that her job has been this like major mystery to people people
1:03:13Jackie Oshry:are like are are you an engineer like it's like been this big almost it's funny people thought
1:03:17Claudia Oshry:she was in medical sales and i think that's because um sally carson from southern charm oh that's funny he's in medical sales and they have a similar name and now now she's probably like full-time influencing yeah yeah oh um there were some really good cameos I thought when Jake Shane was at the Russian bathhouse I was actually laughing so hard he's like very naturally funny it was just funny and they were getting like whacked it was just it was cute hysterical stuff I really really enjoyed the show any other people oh her little siblings really stole the show agreed they were um they're really cute and yeah i think see so i'm one of these people like when season two oh yeah yeah i'm a when season two truther um let's dive into the remainder of

1:09:37Claudia Oshry:thing we didn't discuss is ash and earl linked to landon barker oh that's like a new thing um
1:09:42Jackie Oshry:personally like landon barker it's just like it's like a blind spot for me like a conscious blind spot i know him i know i know charlie d 'amelio i know corny kardashian i know to me i know
1:09:54Claudia Oshry:I know everyone around him. I don't know him. No, I know him. And to me, like him. Is he an artist?
1:09:58Jackie Oshry:Is he a musician? I think he dabbles. Like this means nothing to me. Like it's just, it's an inconvenience.
1:10:04Claudia Oshry:Yeah. Yeah, I don't love it. Me neither. Okay, our next story. But that's what I mean when I say that. I think like Ashton is like so Gen Z that like she's sort of like,
1:10:13Jackie Oshry:like she's not for us or at least for me.
1:10:16Claudia Oshry:Yeah, she's not meant to be for me. Like that's why I'm like, I feel bad, but that seems obvious. She like checks a box for other demographics, but not us. Yes. Yes, for sure. I'm in the Ashley box. Yeah, 1 ,000%.
1:10:29Jackie Oshry:You're an Alex. I feel like I'm actually like a transition. I'm such an Alyssa. Everyone's always leaving me out.
1:10:35Claudia Oshry:And it's terrible.
1:10:37Jackie Oshry:No, actually, I'm TJ. Like, let's be real. You are TJ. I'm TJ.
1:10:41Claudia Oshry:I also, a big storyline was Ashton's like modeling career. I wouldn't say that was like a big storyline, but. Or Ashton's career. Yeah, right. Ashton. And on Therapist, Jake Shane was like, you should model. like I love that storyline like you should absolutely model and like he's a very good friend I actually thought she was giving such Kendall Jenner energy it's like she was but like here's the thing I feel like and TJ was saying like you shouldn't and sometimes like the things that you love aren't going to make you the most money and I feel like she very much is like that like Amelia Gray Bella Hadid like you know Dark Dixie D 'Amelio
1:11:14Jackie Oshry:like literally it's like a trope and I just don't think
1:11:16Claudia Oshry:any of those girls are happy I totally agree and I don't think like modeling will make you happy it will take you away from your you'll be in Paris Paris, Milan, China, like everywhere but home. And she's a homebody. And I thought TJ gave her good advice by being like, don't become a model. Yeah, I actually agree.
1:11:32Jackie Oshry:Especially when I think she can just make a lot. I think they have a lot of opportunities.
1:11:36Claudia Oshry:So many right here at home. Yeah, right. In Point Pleasant. So actually, she would obviously, like she's unbelievably gorgeous. And she's tall. And I think that's why I didn't like, I didn't notice like her personality traits for a while. Because I love the way that she carries herself. And I think she's like lovely to look at. And she would be an amazing model. Yeah. Like she is a model. Yes. But I don't think so. Yeah, I agree. Models are not happy people. No, they're really not. Okay. Next. King Charles III addresses Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's royal status after moving back to the UK.
1:12:05Claudia Oshry:So as discussed on Patreon. They're going back. Meghan and Harry. We're not okay. Are going back to the UK. We're not okay.
1:12:14Jackie Oshry:And I think the question remaining, like, because this is so confusing, is what does this mean for the royal family? Like, do they know about it? Are they excited about it? Is this an agreed upon decision? Are they just acting rogue again and like going to be living, you know, as commoners? So we heard from King Charles in an official statement.
1:12:34Claudia Oshry:Yes. King Charles's Lord Chamberlain wrote in a letter sent to multiple outlets saying their styles as his and her Royal Highness remain in abeyance and are not used. Abeyance, sorry. The king has directed that the following information be shared. No, this is like tea. The charitable work of the Duke and Duchess is a personal matter for them both and undertaken in their private capacity. In short, their position is akin to private citizens with commercial and charitable interests.
1:13:03Jackie Oshry:Yeah, I think it's important that King Charles lets his subjects know, like, you're not paying for this. Because part of being a royal is like your taxpayer dollars subsidizing your life in some parts. And that's where I think, you know, they draw a lot of criticism from their different actions. Because it's like, these are the taxpayers. What are you doing? so I think he really wanted because the the public there really dislikes them I think he wanted to sort of make sure everyone knows like don't worry like this is not official
1:13:30Claudia Oshry:yes yes and also like it does feel like sort of a snub because even if this was the case you know sending out the letter statement to all the outlets like distancing yourself from them is crazy so I think for people who were like oh they're moving back to take care of Charles in his final years like are very naive however like if they're not to how can they make more money in the UK than they can make here like I know that the money has run out here the opportunities have dried up they have really squandered every relationship that they've had what's there
1:14:05Jackie Oshry:for them in the UK maybe they just think like time has changed it's very clear that they don't have like a firm grasp on what real people think and like what's going on so maybe they thought you know enough time has passed they've probably forgotten because if they are just if they were aware they would have moved to australia which i do think would have been really good for them
1:14:24Claudia Oshry:yeah like i think there could be opportunities there yeah and i i think i i honestly don't know i actually think that there's more opportunities in america for them still than there are in the uk like even acting for her they were saying that she was going to be in guy richie's show or whatever but like then no one will watch the show at least in america like maybe people would still
1:14:45Jackie Oshry:watch the show because americans love suits it's true no and she's a good actress i've re-watched suits and i feel like it gave me a whole not re-watch watch it for the first time only a few years ago and i feel like it gave me a whole new respect for megan markle yeah so i felt like she
1:14:57Claudia Oshry:still could have acted here i would be very curious to see what their reason like what is the reason
1:15:05Jackie Oshry:yeah and i also think that maybe charles's statement was meant to put to rest some of the rumors that he's like dying you know because that's people just blamed it on him they're like he's dying they have to go back it's his dad but still like everyone's been like sick
1:15:21Claudia Oshry:and and dying yeah kate had cancer they never came back kate had cancer the queen died philip died charles has cancer so much has happened so and now like it's actually insane that they exited during Queen Elizabeth's reign like seriously so disrespectful seriously disgusting
1:15:35Jackie Oshry:they're so weird to me like freaky as hell I hate people who I can't like understand I don't
1:15:40Claudia Oshry:understand like this decision no when I said this on Patreon and what I don't understand is why it's so hard for them to just like act normal like they didn't have to do anything they came here so beloved everyone throwing money at them throwing homes throwing planes and like all you had to do was just like be normal normal but instead everybody hates like the people around them like they don't have the same friends that they did the people who worked with them don't want to work with them like companies and assistants and everything and it's like why is it so hard for them to just like be normal yeah like don't fuck it up and not be like so much of a repellent
1:16:18Jackie Oshry:and repellent that's what it is people were really not i mean i just it just resurfaced the clip of Kim and Khloe on Khloe in Wonderland talking about the whole Meghan Markle thing and like you could just tell they like fucking hate her and it's like I think that everybody leaves an interaction with them with that bad taste in their mouth right and it's right so it's like
1:16:35Claudia Oshry:why are you giving everyone such a bad taste just like say less do nothing and people will just like you because like you're so important yeah and cool and royal whatnot royal and and you're the royal mavericks and so no one was mad about the Megs it like people like them for that So all they had to do was just like come here and act cool. Yeah. And they couldn't do that. That's what I can't understand. Yeah. How you can literally repel everyone around you. Like just with your personality. Yeah. It has to be so bad.
1:17:05Jackie Oshry:Yeah.
1:17:07Claudia Oshry:Can't relate. Can't relate. Can not.
1:17:10Jackie Oshry:We will of course keep you abreast on any and all updates on the Great Return.
1:17:13Claudia Oshry:Now that the toast is back, we will be on top of every update. What is the name of this?
1:17:16Jackie Oshry:Like when they left, it was Megxit. Mentrance? Like what is it called?
1:17:20Claudia Oshry:Mentrance. No, but it's a return.
1:17:21Jackie Oshry:Well, it would be like a return.
1:17:25retagging megan marturn i don't know i like retagging i don't get it return megan oh
1:17:33Jackie Oshry:set up in the comments if you if you could do better than retagging what did the new york post you a thrown back oh they also did oh our long national nightmare is over that was so funny like what's what's the one right what's the and i love a blend meg's it i loved that
1:17:51let me go to thesaurus.com a word how come megan excuse me like like harry homecoming megan
1:17:57Claudia Oshry:oh homecoming megan how come megan i think it could catch on how come megan i got it don't
1:18:06Jackie Oshry:don't stress okay because thesaurus.org is giving me nothing
1:18:11Claudia Oshry:okay are you ready for our next story yep dancing with the stars season 35 cast and prose so we got the rest of the cast of dancing with the stars and their partners are you ready i am ready there wasn't anyone who was like a major shock i think julia styles is shocking people she's currently like my pick for winner okay we'll get into that but so we have sierra miller and brandon armstrong wrong brandon danced with lauren last year yeah he did somebody who got out early and stunk so yeah i think it was lauren's because i don't know him so he deserves he deserves an upgrade and sierra feels like a fair good choice yeah i feel like they did switch this year like the pros who got worse or people last year dancing with the stars fans like always claim that like there are
1:19:00Jackie Oshry:certain people who get and it's true like mark ballas always gets someone good so does val um But I think they try to like switch it up with everyone as much as possible. So we have Maura Higgins and Mark Ballas.
1:19:12Claudia Oshry:So cute. They know each other from Traders. Oh, cute. Oh, I love that. Jackson Olsen from Savannah Bananas and Emma Slater. That's going to be fun. And she deserves like a fun dancer guy. She had Andy. She did the most with Andy. Yeah, so imagine what she could do with like a young able-bodied. Yeah. Then we have Whitney Carson and Guillermo, which we knew. And she's pregnant. And it's perfect. Literally perfect. Jenna Dewan and Val I need them to be They'll be ones to watch
1:19:38Jackie Oshry:Okay but I need them to be so for real Like this giving Heather Morris from Glee At a certain point like this show is not fair Is she a dancer or she was just in a dance movie? No she was the host of So You Think You Can Dance Like she's very much in the dance world It's not honestly it's not as egregious as Mike Chang from Glee No he's on this season
1:20:03Claudia Oshry:but it's it's got people's feathers ruffled and I agree oh I didn't see any of that but she also really looks like the wife Jenna Johnson yes and they have like the same they both start with J then we have Ezra French and Daniela Karagach who's Ezra I believe he's a para Olympian oh cool yeah they always got an athlete in there love that julia styles and ezra sosa yeah i feel
1:20:35Jackie Oshry:that this is a perfect pairing as julia styles is like a lot of lore and pop culture as it pertains to dance but just like of course media in general and i think that like the gay pro is perfect for her i think he will deliver on like uh 10 things i hate about you yeah all the lore um their tiktoks have already been like very funny and I think he's perfect for her and I do think she's the perfect person she has like a little bit of background in dance but she's by no means a dancer even some of the tiktoks and she's been making I'm like oh she's not like as good as I thought but I think she'll really improve and it's almost like a muscle that she hasn't flexed in a while and I think that they have potential to win yeah especially because like she's older than she
1:21:12Claudia Oshry:was when she was doing those movies it kind of reminds me of like Elaine Hendricks a little bit like she was a big dancer back in the day and now it's a muscle that she hasn't flexed in a while
1:21:23Jackie Oshry:Harry Shum Jr. and Jenna Johnson. This is like legit unfair. He's actually maybe a better dancer than her. Like he is fully trained. He was like the dancer on Glee. I know he's gone on to do more stuff but like to me he's my Chang. He's on Grey's Anatomy. He's my Chang. Like this is egregious. And so they made a TikTok of Val and his partner which is Jenna Dewan and Jenna, Val's husband and her partner, Harry. And He just looks like four professional dancers. And honestly, like, Harry Shum Jr. was, like, a better dancer than Val. Like, it was actually, I'll show you the video. People are so upset about it, and rightfully so.
1:21:58Jackie Oshry:It's just so obvious. Also, there's a pro, and I think it might be Brit. I'm not sure who it is, who's, like, dream partner, she's always said, is Harry Shum Jr. And it's, like, they didn't give it to her.
1:22:08Claudia Oshry:So people are, like, there's Jenna favoritism because Jenna and Val, and Jenna always gets good people. And also, like, Jenna last, no, Jenna had Corey Feldman last season, so she's really good. Oh, she deserves it. it's like when you're coming last in the draft and like at the nfl so you get first pick at the draft that's what this is she deserves it she wasn't even on last season i thought she took the season off she was literally on two weeks but she was with cory okay and they were like beefing too it was a horrible season for i don't even know her because she was not on the show so i think this is very fair me too giada de laurentis and alan burston i love this not your favorite i
1:22:45Jackie Oshry:love this are you gonna be texting giada every week i'm texting giada she's a perfect person for it um like i i literally love this i love like this is what dancing with the stars is all about
1:22:55Claudia Oshry:this is dancing with the stars she's so random like giada okay slay i know i actually just like started i don't know why recently like her instagram came up for me before dancing with the stars and i was just like she makes a lot of content she makes like pargy stuff she's always
1:23:09Jackie Oshry:been just sort of like difficult to champion because she's so skinny and she's italian so always cooking like pizza and pasta and it's like girl be so for real but not me body shaming like i'll stop yeah and like judging it's just like she's always been the skinniest person on food network it just like didn't add up it's okay i know i feel like if you're cooking like greek food like okay greek food's super healthy like italian food is not but and she always is like parmigiano reggiano it's like you could just say parmesan like i just feel like you're stereotyping never trust a skinny chef that's what the kids say next we have connor wood and riley arnold connor what
1:23:43Claudia Oshry:What is Fibula? I ship, first of all, like there's always a couple. Will they, won't they?
1:23:47Jackie Oshry:Like this is them, first of all. Second of all, you'd love to see a friend of the toast out here doing big things. Former guest host. People love him. I think he'll get a lot of votes. And you'd love to see like the influencer sector being represented.
1:24:01Claudia Oshry:Yeah. So this is our influencer for the season. Fibula.
1:24:05Jackie Oshry:And Tyler Cameron. I love him.
1:24:08Claudia Oshry:Tyler Cameron. But he's a reality star. He is like an influencer.
1:24:11Jackie Oshry:He is with Sharna Burgess. Oh, and Sharna Burgess is returning. Can you remind me? I get her so confused with Shanna Moakler. She's not Shanna Moakler, but she's with Brian Austin Green now. Now she is.
1:24:23Claudia Oshry:Megan Fox's ex-husband.
1:24:24Jackie Oshry:Yeah, okay. And she won with Bobby Bones. She was like one of the most controversial winners of all time.
1:24:30Claudia Oshry:Yeah, so she's with Tyler C. I think Tyler C. is going to be amazing. I think any time people are reminded of Tyler C. or like he's on their televisions, like everyone falls in love with him all over again. And so even though he hasn't been on, he does like HGTV stuff, but he hasn't been on like The Bachelor in a while. So you would have thought like he's no longer eligible for Dancing with the Stars because it's usually like right after. I think people are going to remember like how much Amelva loves him. I love him. He is. I do want to say, and I have no proof of this, I think he's a horrendous dancer.
1:25:00Jackie Oshry:Like I could just see him having like no rhythm and being very difficult to train. And this is somebody who's been like out of the game for a few years. Like I do think they will struggle.
1:25:11Claudia Oshry:Yeah, they will. But he'll be like, you know, an improvement and he can only do so well.
1:25:15Jackie Oshry:No, and he'll get really far just like based on his looks.
1:25:18Claudia Oshry:Yeah. And eagerness to get better.
1:25:21Jackie Oshry:He's seriously just so handsome.
1:25:23Claudia Oshry:Yeah. Next, we have Conor Leavitt and Adele Zeichman. Adele Zeichman won Dancing with the Stars, the next pro, which was their, you know, Grilly Project style show this summer where they sought to find the next pro. and I've seen clips of her and it seems like it was like the most obvious choice in the world. She's an unbelievable dancer. There's like a lot of debate online whether Connor would like, not Connor was, excuse me, Connor Leavitt. Oh, we had two Connors on the season.
1:25:52Jackie Oshry:Is eligible to have been selected as a star. Like he's kind of a Nepo husband, people say, and Whitney's like making all this content with her Nepo husband shirt. Like they're very much engaging with the rhetoric because overall the feedback I've seen is that people are really underwhelmed by this group of people, like this casting. I think last year was so, there were so many stars, like so many it girls. Like it was really, it was kind of a banner season for them last year, I'd say, in terms of like ratings and gets. Like they got good people. Whitney was huge for them. Alex Earl was huge for them.
1:26:20Jackie Oshry:Robert Irwin was huge for them.
1:26:24Jackie Oshry:Jordan Childs was huge for them. I think that the overwhelming sentiment is like this is a little lackluster. And I think people are pinning that on Connor, which is not fair.
1:26:32Claudia Oshry:So I have a lot of thoughts on Connor. and it's just crazy because like Whitney had so much success offline like almost like online off the show on the show like they were very hard on her the fans fucking hated her and she didn't even make top four yeah and now it's like her husband is the next choice when she on the show she actually didn't make that huge of an impact like she should have it really all happened like online after the fact and you know who's vomiting is jen affleck like it was hard enough but also it's it's crazy that there's not a mormon wife on the cast and i feel like maybe there was supposed to be yeah and they couldn't get one because of scheduling or something and so they went with connor i feel
1:27:13Jackie Oshry:like they could have gotten one and i feel like connor sort of took like the salama spot even though they had two last year um it is crazy that there's not a secret lives but there's sarah j nader you know which is so random sarah j nader is not random she's exactly who would be on the show i think someone in the abc family yeah but i think when people are talking about like the underwhelming nature someone with 70 000 instagram followers like is a shock oh wow okay i saw a lot
1:27:37Claudia Oshry:of janitor um like discussion i guess it's like different strokes for different folks because here we have amber glenn and pasha paschkov amber glenn is an olympic figure skater i don't know her
1:27:50Jackie Oshry:but i know people were like very excited about her and i don't know i'm not familiar with her lore
1:27:55Claudia Oshry:that's so funny i was looking at the picture of the two of them i thought he was amber glenn
1:27:59Jackie Oshry:and that she was pasha i'm cracking up like i'm like i never saw amber glenn
1:28:05Claudia Oshry:and the men's figure skating like i because i don't know either of them but now but pasha also colored his hair so that's why i'm confused because now i remember him from last yeah of course with uh danielle yes yeah um and then sarah j nader and hailey bills so sarah j nader is the sister of Brooks Nader and she is dancing with Haley Bills who is also a first time pro. Derek Huff's wife, right? Why do I think that? I think she is. No, I think, no, no, no. I think that's someone else because Haley Bills is like very young. Oh, okay. But I think he's also married to like a Haley dancer and Haley Bills was in like the troupe that used to come out like in between.
1:28:39Claudia Oshry:Yeah, yeah, yeah. Like she was on the minor leagues. And they're making, you know, some more herstory as a female dancing couple because Sarah Jane Nader is bisexual.
1:28:50Jackie Oshry:Yeah, she's actively dating Pete Davidson so I feel like it's really not necessary that they pair her with a girl like I feel like when they did it with Jojo Siwa like it was just it was sweet like it was really um Jojo Siwa I know so it's kind of like a curse like I feel like it like it changes your sexuality like no I'm totally kidding by the way like that was obviously a joke um I just feel like I thought Sarah Jane was like a lesbian and then the Pete Davidson thing happened I'm like oh maybe she's not and so I just feel like I don't know
1:29:19Claudia Oshry:like if you can date Pete Davidson you can dance with the man yeah like if there was some like i was saying like ellen degeneres went on dancing with the stars like she should dance with a woman for sure thing is is like dancing is not about your sexuality i feel like right and if you're saying it is about sexuality then like all these people
1:29:35Jackie Oshry:who are married and like bumping and grinding on each other it's sexual yeah i'm like kind of a purist when it comes to ballroom dance like it's so it's so gendered right like the man lifts the
1:29:45Claudia Oshry:women and it's like it's very old school is hailey gonna be lifting up sarah jane yeah and it's like
1:29:48Jackie Oshry:Or is Sarah Jane lifting a pair? I don't know. It's like sweet to always be inclusive, of course. But like you can dance with anyone. Like dancing is just like a beautiful thing that everyone can do with everyone. No, and it's like Scott Hoying danced with a woman.
1:30:02Claudia Oshry:And he was fine. Completely. And so it's like all like, yeah, I'm sorry. This is not for me. Especially with somebody who's like actively dating Pete Davidson. It's not even like she's dating anyone. She's dating Pete Davidson. Like can't lay her hands on a man. Yeah.
1:30:17Jackie Oshry:so I just feel like it's a little performative it's it's beyond performative and yes I it's it's actually the definition of perform I like ballroom dance like like I just I like it it's OG version like they've been doing it for decades man and woman and it's like the man's gay the woman's gay nobody cares the man's married the woman's married nobody cares I feel a little bad for Hayley Bills it's her first season well no I don't feel bad because honestly she's already
1:30:41Claudia Oshry:like making a splash and like I guess so but she has like this abridged version it's not the training that she's used to her life you know she's already figuring out how to make up choreo for the show for the first time and teach someone how to dance and now like it's not the dynamic she's used i think it's a two-night premiere they're like the men are going first and then
1:30:59Jackie Oshry:the women are going i'm sad i love dancing with the stars i can't believe there was a time when
1:31:02Claudia Oshry:i didn't watch it there's more people oh my god taylor hansen and brit stewart another situation where i'm not sure who the pro is brit is the pro oh taylor hansen he's from hansen bop yeah okay
1:31:14Jackie Oshry:A lot of the Brit stans are like, you know, a little myth that like for two years. She had Baron Davis last year. I think he was actually the first person out that she's constantly getting like kind of shitty. But she also ended up marrying, I think, one of her first partners, the actor from CODA who was deaf. And she like learned sign language. It was so sweet. And they're still married. So she's gotten a lot from the show. But yeah, she's kind of like gotten shit two years in a row. But Hanson could maybe dance. Maybe. But I don't think he has hordes of fans. And if they do, like, I don't know if they're voting, texting to vote.
1:31:46Claudia Oshry:And then Tatiana Ali and Jan Ravnik. Jan. Who's Tatiana Ali?
1:31:51Jackie Oshry:I don't know her. She was on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Oh, right. Of course. Oh, Ashley. Yeah, of course. And she had that viral TikTok with Will Smith that started the Dochi Anxiety Challenge. Just a little TikTok lore for you.
1:32:05Claudia Oshry:Very interesting. This is a huge cast. Yeah, I know.
1:32:07Jackie Oshry:It, like, never ended.
1:32:08Claudia Oshry:I guess it always is. It never ended.
1:32:10Jackie Oshry:And then at some point they really start chopping people off.
1:32:12Claudia Oshry:I do agree with the criticism that it's not star-studded. But I just feel like last year was an anomaly. And I think that's because of Alex Earle, period. Whitney wound up being a huge sensation on the show. But when she came on, she was just a Mormon wife who's on the show because she's on Hulu. Alex Earle was like, even you were shocked.
1:32:29Jackie Oshry:You were like, why is she doing this?
1:32:31Claudia Oshry:Robert Irwin was big.
1:32:33Jackie Oshry:I think that it just felt like Dancing with the Stars was coming up in the world of TV as no longer a thing that was considered lowbrow. brow and now i feel like this cast is just sort of like on par with their usual seasons
1:32:43Claudia Oshry:yeah i think we just like got alex earlified and yeah this is what it's alex earl effect yeah this is what it's always been honestly and we have like maura and sierra like this is always yeah and then we have hansen that's classic yeah it's classic figure skater stuff
1:33:00Jackie Oshry:are you ready for our next story i don't know if our cards are ready like Like, we're approaching two hours.
1:33:06Claudia Oshry:Okay, you get to pick one more story. Okay. There was one I wanted to cancel anyway. KJ, you want to talk about KJ?
1:33:11Jackie Oshry:Oh my God, we have to talk about the beer mints. This is so upsetting. And I really mostly wanted to talk about it because I've kind of propped up this family for so many years. I'm always talking about them. Like, they, up until recently, like, were hilarious. And I did just want to make, like, an official resignation and, like, make it be known. Like, this is not something I can get behind. You're out. And you stood by through acquired gate most recently too. And they've been through a lot publicly. And I'm always seeing the best in them. That ends today. This is such a disturbing story. Every detail.
1:33:43Jackie Oshry:And it keeps getting worse and worse. It went from two charges to seven charges. It is a sign of such moral depravity in their house that I'm so upset by it. The details give me a chill down my spine. And I am out.
1:34:00Claudia Oshry:so kj beerman who is the 15 year old son of kim zolciak he's the one that got bit by the dog croy beerman he is being accused of sexual assault and sodomy so he went to jail i think he's still in he's in jail he might get out on bond and so he will uh he will actually be subject to strict stipulations if he gets out of jail after being um indicted in this sexual assault and sodomy case His new normal will be close, close monitoring if granted bond. Sexual assault case experts are saying there's a likelihood he'll be released and he will have a lot of conditions. He'll be on GPS, probably be on house arrest and having to do school at home.
1:34:37Jackie Oshry:Yeah. Based on what I had read, it seems that they have like a pretty good amount of damning evidence for there to be so many charges and for them to be holding him in jail right now.
1:34:46Claudia Oshry:yeah so the charges are aggravated child molestation aggravated sodomy aggravated sexual battery false imprisonment and three counts of aggravated sexual battery against a child under 16 stemming from an alleged incident in alpharetta georgia earlier this year um the charges are unbelievably serious and could result in decades of prison time if he is convicted and the fact that he remains behind bars could suggest that there's a very strong case against yeah um that's
1:35:13Jackie Oshry:what i like had heard people who like know more about the case saying like the fact that there
1:35:16Claudia Oshry:are so many charges and he's still being held yet they said not releasing him into the custody of his parents with electronic monitoring of some kind surprises me for a child of his age right
1:35:25Jackie Oshry:the crimes are so egregious like what he's actually being charged with um it's it's very disturbing that i mean anytime something like this happens but that a 15 year old could and would do this um like i said it's it's a sign i think of like true moral depravity and it's so upsetting and kim zolciak released a statement that bothered me so much like obviously she's like my son is innocent yada yada against these claims from this woman she said the word woman the girl's 15 or i don't know how old she is but she's under 16 it's like it was such an intentional use of language um to like i guess lighten the the severity i just thought it was so disgusting um you're all white trash quite frankly like i just i there are so few stories like actually like leave me speechless this is egregious it's egregious like every element sodomy 15 years old like i'm out on this family beyond out by yeah oh it's really nauseating no it's
1:36:29Claudia Oshry:frightening and if you look at pictures of me he's this huge kid i think he's a football player um it just like it actually makes me sick like i feel sick yeah sick well look forward to justice
1:36:44Jackie Oshry:being served yeah i'm curious if they are gonna let him out like i feel like when you're on trial
1:36:49Claudia Oshry:you get out on bail right before your trial unless you're like a murderer flight risk or I think depending on the degrees of, if you're for tax fraud, I think they'll let you stay at home. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
1:37:03Jackie Oshry:Very upsetting. I know we didn't get to everything today, but like the show does have to get up.
1:37:07Claudia Oshry:It does. And then the only other thing which we talked about on Patreon, which I know that you like, hate and love to talk about is Lindsay Clancy. Oh, I guess we haven't spoken about it since it's been a mistrial.
1:37:17Jackie Oshry:Which I'm like a little confused by. Like I don't know where we go from here. My opinion has not changed. I'm actually feeling even like more fervent than ever. If you want to hear like my rant. And the crazy thing is like this has really taken women. Like women are divided. Not even divided. But like this is like very much like a women's issue that people are talking about. Women are divided. No, the women are divided. And I think that we have a huge female audience. And like I think a lot of you guys like would majorly disagree with me. I have actually never felt more strongly about anything.
1:37:49Jackie Oshry:Maybe in the history of the toast. Like I think she should be locked the fuck up. I have so many thoughts and so many, it's crazy how like people are getting canceled for like their takes on this. Yeah. And so like, I guess I think I have, what I've said on the patron is like an eighth of how I feel. Like I have the strongest takes, but I'm being accused of not supporting postpartum women, which is literally the opposite. Like if you watch this show, like you know how false that is. So it's just like one of those things I don't even want to talk about, but I feel so strongly that like maybe I could change the opinion of one person.
1:38:23Jackie Oshry:Cause to be honest, I've seen some takes from women that genuinely make me ashamed to be a woman and share gender with some people.
1:38:30Claudia Oshry:Like I think people have gotten a little lost in the sauce and I've seen a lot of people or like even people that I talked to would be like in the beginning, I was like, you know, by the way Jackie,
1:38:38Jackie Oshry:do you remember when I brought it up on the toes?
1:38:40Claudia Oshry:I almost got caught up in this like social media. I don't know how like all of this has like obfuscated the fact that like the woman killed three children. three children are dead whatever led her to whatever sad circumstances you know that got her there they're very sad sorry to hear that but you killed your children and the worst should happen
1:39:01Jackie Oshry:agreed and I think that um oh there's so like there's so much to say I think that I'm actually finding it like very difficult to discuss this with people in both online and like in my own life because I'm feeling like are are you serious and I think there's like levels of people who like think x things y i think like people who think the husband did it like i actually i i i can't talk
1:39:23Claudia Oshry:to people who think that the husband did it because yeah if you think that the husband did it then yeah this woman's being like wrongfully convicted no but it's so a child murderer but it's like they're not even her her own team is not even trying to say that she did not her lawyer
1:39:34Jackie Oshry:said many times during the trial that like admittedly she did it and i think that it's so like i watched footage of the funeral and like the speech that he made and they're like it's weird he went to costa rica and he got remarried it's like why don't you shut the fuck up like if somebody loses all three of their kids at the hands of their wife how about they can do whatever the fuck they want like i don't care how they he ran a marathon okay like i literally don't care like for them and i feel like we talked about that when he ran for when i watched the brian coberger um idaho i was like saying how it's so weird that it all happened at 4 a.m and that the kids didn't call the police until noon and they had a detective on the documentary being like we didn't think that was weird at all like you really can't predict how someone's going to react in the wake of a tragedy that's something that's so shocking and traumatizing.
1:40:15Jackie Oshry:So it's like, okay, maybe you think he should have waited six years before getting married. It's like, and like the judgment that's coming to this man who literally lost his three kids. Like, I think it shows, again, my favorite phrase today, a moral depravity in our culture that like, we can't let this man rest. And like Lisa Rinna making TikToks, Patrick did it. Like, there's no proof. Like, I just, I actually can't. And I know the comments are going to blow up from this, but like, I'm so, I feel so strongly and I'm so steadfast. my beliefs and like you're not changing my mind if anything I'm becoming even more radicalized
1:40:47Claudia Oshry:yeah no so I guess like the mistrial if they weren't going to convict her and also what happens to her whether she's convicted or not is the same um because she's like paralyzed and going to be like in a care facility whether she's like you know it's a mental illness declaration or just like there's no jail for her really um so like what happens to her is mostly the same but it's more so about like the legal precedent and so I'm glad there was no precedent set that you can get away with killing your three kids agreed and then i guess you get like mentally evaluated every six months right so there is like a higher chance of you getting out and like having more no and like a lot of people there's like cases in the past like mostly with
1:41:26Jackie Oshry:black women whose whose medical records aren't even admissible in court so like the fact that they might have struggled with a mental illness like doesn't even get to be spoken about but like like i'm sorry i i actually can't talk about this yeah so i guess like mistrial is like best case
1:41:40Claudia Oshry:scenario um for those of us who want to see justice i need i heard that the lone juror is going to be on nancy grace that's what i heard and when i tell you that will be like the interview of the century yeah i need to know who it is they say like there's a lot of rumors people say because
1:41:55Jackie Oshry:it was a jury of like nine women three men um that it was one of the men i think it was one of
1:42:01Claudia Oshry:men i think someone like outed that in the pronouns that they used to describe the situation
1:42:08Claudia Oshry:curious yeah so yeah that's always a can of worms the world and i wasn't gonna bring it up today
1:42:13Jackie Oshry:because it's so it's so i wasn't going to either but actually like you're so glad you've never had to deal with postpartum depression it's like we're not talking about postpartum depression first of all and second of all like that's so like you're missing the point yeah no you just
1:42:28Claudia Oshry:you can't kill three children you just can't do it and you just can't no and the fact that like
1:42:32Jackie Oshry:she's even on trial trying to save her own life like there's like a very famous case i think people are comparing it to andrea yates who like is i think the most it was a while ago um killed her kids i think she said she was in psychosis and she like she was literally begging to be killed
1:42:48Claudia Oshry:right this story is so fucking fishy with it and bringing your kids in your pink shirt to the
1:42:53Jackie Oshry:courthouse like we have lost the plot and i i'm not associating myself with these people like
1:42:58Claudia Oshry:no not me no so i wasn't going to bring it up either but i guess the fact that it was declared a mistrial happened in the last week and we hadn't discussed that so um that's really the biggest story yeah and that's all for today there's plenty we didn't discuss but the week is young you guys
