In short

The hosts trade personal “life tips” and mishaps (near-miss with a turkey, deer-driving advice, bear encounter, getting locked out, driving at night), then shift into pop-culture and media news: relationship rumors, TV streaming delays, and subscription bundling. They also discuss backlash around an “anti-influencer” sign/store and argue about whether it targets behavior or people.

Guests

No guests are present. The episode is hosted by Claudia and Jackson Claude (the Toast hosts).

Key claims

  • Survival “tips” (e.g., don’t stop for deer; running vs. getting in a car) are remembered as “life facts,” even if debated.
  • The “no influencer” sign is framed as cultural critique, but critics see it as banning influencers as a group.
  • YouTube Premium may add Peacock in a new bundle starting 2027.
  • Paige Paul “influencer gate” discourse is mixed and reflects normalized influencer hate.

Notable examples

  • A bear on a camp porch (2009, Seneca) and the hosts’ reaction.
  • Near collision with a flying turkey while driving.
  • Kiki Palmer praising genuine chemistry with Sean Evans.
  • Brooks Nader splitting from Taryn Egerton during Baywatch filming.

0:03Claudia Oshry:Good morning, girlies. It's the toast. It's Jackson Claude and we're your hosts. It's your favorite show. The fast five things you need to know. We'll start your day off swirly.

0:21Jackie Oshry:It's the toast. I sound amazing. Welcome back to the toast and happy Tuesday. Hope everybody's having a great day. A great day of the twos. I am feeling, you know, I'm just kind of leading with gratitude today. And what are you feeling gratitudinal for?

0:36Claudia Oshry:Well, I almost LML'd on the way here. LML'd. Lost my life? I almost lost my motherfucking life. Well, I lost you on the road. Okay, let me tell you. Usually, we pull out together. I'm either in front of you or behind you.

0:48Jackie Oshry:Yeah, but you have an obsession with sitting in traffic. I took the back roads today.

0:51Claudia Oshry:I don't have an obsession. You're obsessed with sitting in traffic. I was also rolling calls, so I wasn't really looking at where... I didn't even notice there was traffic. I was just sort of in.

1:00Jackie Oshry:so I was cruising as one does and like out of fucking nowhere the biggest turkey came flying across the street I literally it was like a one of those commercials like I stopped like you know the Subaru commercials when it's like they show you like what could have happened if you were an accident I never stopped so short in my whole life I must have been probably a foot away from the turkey I almost I came so close to killing this turkey and he was just like flying across the street without a care in the world my heart was racing i literally just came back to like normal wow yeah it was crazy it's turkey lurkey time that's what i was gonna say it's turkey lurkey

1:36Claudia Oshry:time you have to read the children's story like about turkey lurkey oh i know turkey lurkey from there is a story like about turkey lurkey i'll get it for you okay because turkey lurkey

1:52Jackie Oshry:is just that song from that movie.

1:53Claudia Oshry:No, but it originates from somewhere, and I'm pretty sure it's like a children's story. To me, like, it sort of begins and ends with Camp, the film. I believe also it has to do with... What's the one? The chick, like, who hit his head? Humpty Dumpty? No, that's an egg. The chick... Well, it was gonna be a chick. Chick. Boom Chickapop? No. I don't know. Turkey Lurkey.

2:17Jackie Oshry:I'm not familiar with the Turkey Lurkey lore at all.

2:19Claudia Oshry:Oh, I'm gonna get you a present. You know what? Like, I'm good. The good thing about the turkey, though, is, like, if you had hit the turkey. Dinner? No, you would have been fine. It's not like a deer where it's, like, if you hit the deer, the deer breaks the windshield. It's on your lap. Right.

2:34Jackie Oshry:Unfortunately, what they say is, like, if you are gunning for a turkey. Like, if a deer comes out of the road. They say it about deer, not about turkey. About deer. They're, like, for your own safety, like, you actually should continue to floor it. You actually should go faster. Because if you, like, stop short mid-deer. First of all, the deer is in your lap and the deer is still alive. So it's like kicking you. They say like you should definitely try to kill the deer. That's just what they say. Yes. If a deer crosses the road as you're crossing the deer, go faster. It's just funny like what little like life tips stick with you.

3:03Jackie Oshry:That deer thing has always stuck with me. I actually saw a TikTok like a couple of months ago that I keep thinking about because it can't possibly be true. It was from these like two female like self-defense experts. And they were just giving like little tips. Like if somebody tells you this, always do this. And they're like if someone like holds a gun to you and says like get in the car. Um, first of all, I believe this, like the chance of your survival drops by like 98 % if you go to a second location with them. They say that like you should run even though he has a gun because like statistically it's harder to hit a moving target.

3:31Jackie Oshry:Okay. And I just like, I don't know if I believe that you should run. Like you think you should get in the car. No, I don't think you should get in the car either. But like there's a gun to your neck.

3:39Claudia Oshry:Mm hmm. Like, I don't know. I just feel like. I'm not really seeing like the tidbit. Like what? Like, of course you should run. But, like, if he has you.

3:50Jackie Oshry:You fight. Yeah, but, like, if you run, you're just right there.

3:55Claudia Oshry:I don't know. I don't know that he really, like, I don't know what his intentions are, honestly.

3:59Jackie Oshry:His intentions are to get you into the moving vehicle. Not necessarily to kill you. That's true. Oh, that is also what they said. Like, a lot of the times, like. They're just not trying to kill someone in the mood. They're bad guys. But killing, like, in public, like, it draws more attention to them. It makes it, like, harder for them to get caught. So, like, they were just saying, like, almost, like, call their bluff. And I was like, I don't know if it's kind of risky.

4:20Claudia Oshry:But, like, you might as well because what do you have to lose? Because the other option is getting in the car.

4:24Jackie Oshry:Yes, right, right. At that point, like, you unfortunately don't have good options. You don't have much choices. Yeah. Choose yourself. Just funny what, like, life survival tips stick with you.

4:32Claudia Oshry:Yeah.

4:32Jackie Oshry:Like, they always say, like, if you ever run into a bear, like, walk backwards and clap. And, like, hold your hands up. Yeah, right.

4:39Claudia Oshry:Yeah.

4:39Jackie Oshry:I don't know about that one either.

4:40Claudia Oshry:I don't know. They were always telling us, like, what to do with bears because we went to camp. Last night I was driving home late. I went out. I had a day yesterday. my college friends came to visit me so we're like having you know a little college reunion they're out in the hamptons and so yesterday we had lunch and we laid by the pool we went out to dinner we went out like late and i was driving home and like i was seriously driving so slow i was so scared to see a deer night in the hamptons is really scary it's crazy there are no street lights so rebecca drove with me like halfway and she taught me how to use brights which was great you didn't know how to use brights i knew how to use brights but i didn't know that like when the signal set has like a green light on that just means your headlights are on and when that turns blue that means your brights are on because I like if somebody's coming the opposite way you have to turn your brights off but I didn't know when my brights were on when they weren't and then when I turned them on I was like oh okay and then there was light yeah so I was really nervous to drive home but it was another check off the box it's funny because when we were in college I didn't drive I didn't know how to drive I didn't have a car but like my friends did and they drove me everywhere and like it was just like part of life it was just a fact of life that like I just didn't go anywhere whatever and now like driving my friends it's so crazy because i've never driven them before and it's just crazy to think about like you bitches had all this freedom when we were in college oh yeah you guys were doing this yeah you were doing this cruising then rebecca said it was probably good that i couldn't drive or have a car you would have gone home every day because i would have never been there i would go to utica and go to the mall like it's true i just

6:01Jackie Oshry:would have always needed it forced you to bloom where you were planted i would have always needed

6:04Claudia Oshry:a break it's true or you would like literally drive home like i'm not feeling it let's go no And I already went home like once a month. And that's through hitching rides, you know, train, plane, however I could get there. Yeah. So if I could get myself home, I would have gone home all the way. It's true. Even more, which is crazy. So she's right. It was for the best that I had to bloom where I was planted. It's true.

6:24Jackie Oshry:And look at you now with lifelong college friends.

6:25Claudia Oshry:It's crazy that you guys could just like, oh, I'll just go get sushi in Utica.

6:30Jackie Oshry:That is also crazy to think about that like kids these days, I mean, back in our day too, but like 16-year-olds can just like go places. I know. Not on my watch.

6:39Claudia Oshry:No, it's great. I'm happy for them. I'm just jealous that, like, I didn't have it sooner. Right. But I guess there was really a reason, you know? Yeah, yeah. There really was. Sort of forced you. So we're just having a grand old time. That's really cute. I feel like, like, such a mom. Like, my college gas. It's kind of giving, like, a Netflix movie.

6:54Jackie Oshry:It is giving Netflix. Like, the college moms, like, all getting together. Yeah. I love that.

6:58Claudia Oshry:Just, like, little reunion going wild. So cute. Mom's gone wild. Went, like, literally got home from dinner at 10.30. I got home from dinner at 10.45. I was locked out of the house. Yeah, I know. And that's crazy because I haven't conducted my investigation as to.

7:11Jackie Oshry:Just so you know, I had no part of it because one thing about me and Ben is like, we sleep good knowing that like you every night lock every door and window. Like I leave every door open. I'm like, I'm not worried. And I'm not locking it because I'm like, that's Jackie's job. Yeah. So I thought for sure there was no way you would get locked out because who would lock you out but you.

7:30Claudia Oshry:I know. And when I left the house, I made sure the door was open. I did check. And then I came back and I was locked out. So I do think that Cobra has to be my husband. Absolutely. But he said he made sure the door was unlocked for me.

7:40Jackie Oshry:We're talking about the front door? Mm-hmm. Yeah, I had no part of that. I don't lock doors.

7:45Claudia Oshry:Sometimes, like, doors are funny. I just open them. Sometimes doors can, like, have a mind. No, it wasn't a funny door situation. No, but, like, you know when the interior lock is on and you don't know? No. The interior lock. Ben's always doing the interior lock. Oh, my God.

7:57Jackie Oshry:Ben is always leaving front doors open. Like, it's insane.

8:00Claudia Oshry:Yeah, like where you, like, jigger it so that it's, like, clicks. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So someone did that to me and I don't know what I would have done if no one. The garage. I don't have the code and then like you wouldn't. You don't have the code. No, but like even if I did have the code, I would have, it would have to be an hour before I did that because you would have flipped. No, no, no. I was dead asleep. Like that wouldn't have woken me up. And what if it woke you from your sleep?

8:22Jackie Oshry:It wouldn't have. Okay. Yeah. And I would have known that was like an emergency. Okay.

Read the full transcript

8:25Claudia Oshry:You need the garage code. Yeah, I do. I'll tell you later. But then I had already locked the garage door, so. Got it. Okay.

8:32Jackie Oshry:So you were locked up.

8:33Claudia Oshry:I was truly locked out. I was going to start throwing rocks at the window. Okay, Juliet. Let me in.

8:39Jackie Oshry:Well, that wouldn't have woken me up.

8:40Claudia Oshry:No, no, no. For Zach. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Zach is a light sleeper. Yeah.

8:44Jackie Oshry:He is.

8:45Claudia Oshry:So, yeah, it was just fun. We're having another girly day today. So cute. And I'm wearing another Simla. I'm wearing shorts. I loved wearing a dress on the show yesterday.

8:53Jackie Oshry:I was so comfortable. There's a little flaw in my system. I'm sweating. Yeah. So I wore shorts today just like embracing swirly summer because I knew that there was a blanket waiting for me at the studio. I'm really warm.

9:05Claudia Oshry:Yeah.

9:05Jackie Oshry:And that's something I'm just struggling with.

9:07Claudia Oshry:But I'm also excited to use this as an opportunity to get more Hill House dresses. Because I've always felt like I have enough Hill House. But I only have enough for like six days of work. So I need more. I love Hill House. I know. So cozy.

9:20Jackie Oshry:So cozy. More. I heard they're opening up a store actually in Palm Beach. Oh, nice. They have lots of stores. Everyone's kind of like freaking about it. I mean, like Hill House X Palm Beach is like such a big deal.

9:30Claudia Oshry:Yeah. That's like Hill House X Williams Sonoma. which really moved the needle in my life you made a Mahjong set I did know

9:37Jackie Oshry:I'm OMM loyal I'm OMM loyal too but what I've realized and obviously this is easy for me to say now that I have 100 sets but you really only need one you really only need one it's true and I love all my sets and I hope to one day have a beautiful display case people have craft rooms and that's great and all but I use one all you need is one Unfortunately, all you need is one. Yeah. So that's what's new with us. Yeah. Just really quickly, I wanted to backtrack when we were talking about bears. I feel like something that happened to me, like, I don't talk about enough. I don't think I've ever brought it up on the podcast.

10:15Jackie Oshry:Sure. Truth. It's like the time I did come face to face with a bear. I'm being, I knew you weren't going to believe me. No, no. I believe you do. Sure. Tell us about it. It was actually when you went to camp in the Northeast, like, it was a big problem. Like, you weren't supposed to leave, like, a lot of garbage out because, like, a lot of times you'd wake up in the morning, all the garbages would be, like, overturned because, like the bears were like out in the night looking for food and one night it was like it wasn't late but it was nighttime and we were like all hanging in the bunk and like i went to if you were ever in a bunk like you know like they had like little garbages in the bathroom but like the big garbage if you to throw away like food or whatever was outside on the porch and i went to throw something out on the porch and it was like legit a bear like on my porch and i just sort of froze actually i'm having deja vu i think maybe i have spoken my truth before um but what i think about like all To the spot?

10:57Jackie Oshry:All the great, no. I acted like a champ. Like, boom. I flew back into the bunk, locked the door, and I like told everyone to hunker down. Saved lives. Yeah, and when I think about like the great things I've accomplished in my life, like coming face to face with a brown bear, I always forget, but like I did that shit. The bear was on the porch. Yes, he had like, so you know there's like a couple of steps up to the porch. Like he was on the steps.

11:17Claudia Oshry:He was on the steps.

11:19Jackie Oshry:Yeah. And like, it's just you never know how you're going to react in a moment of like sheer panic. And I slayed. That's good to know. Young age, mind you. I must have been like 15 or 16.

11:28Claudia Oshry:Yeah. That's good to know that you're capable of.

11:30Jackie Oshry:The year was 2009. Of acting with haste. Exactly. That's good to know. And I was in this bunk. It was when I went to Seneca. It was like a double-decker bunk. So like the, obviously everyone wanted to be on the top floor. But like the top floor went to like the cool girls who had been at camp longer. And so like me and my friends, we were like relegated to the bottom. Like whatever. We had some more fun than those bitches. I think I didn't want to be on the bottom.

11:47Claudia Oshry:I wouldn't want to be on the bottom. Yeah.

11:47Jackie Oshry:Well like, you know, just like people are like, people are obsessed like having the top bunk. Like when you're a kid. No thanks. I'm a bottom bunk. You put your pictures on the bottom. And so they never knew.

11:55Claudia Oshry:And they could see pictures when you're sleeping.

11:57Jackie Oshry:They never knew trauma like I knew. They didn't have to deal with the bears. It was like us being left down on the bottom level to just sort of like fend for ourselves and protect the bunk.

12:03Claudia Oshry:But I did. And you protected those ingrates on the top floor.

12:06Jackie Oshry:Actually, I threw a T-bone steak up to the second floor and I said, bear, get him. So yeah, that's sort of like one of the many things I've accomplished. Amazing. Yeah, right? Yeah. Amazing. Wilderness woman. Wilderness woman. Plus, she saved a turkey today. Oh, my God. Literally friend to animals. I've obviously been campaigning against the butterfly eugenic center happening in our dining room. The butterflies are thriving, you guys. I heard one died this morning. This morning? Mm-hmm. But these butterflies keep dying, and then Zach is over here being like, you guys are wrong. They're not dead.

12:42Jackie Oshry:Oh, yeah.

12:43Claudia Oshry:He looks it up on chat, and we'll be like, the butterfly's doing this, and they're like, they're fine. They're just figuring out. I was figuring out how to flip over. Yeah. I guess we're like three days out. I did hear people whispering today about the dead butterfly. Oh my God. I missed that. I must have been getting ready. I guess we're three days out though from the freeing of the butterfly.

13:01Jackie Oshry:That's a day like that all, as an animal rights advocate who's seen Blackfish's documentary, that's a day that I'll be celebrating. Seriously. Like I haven't participated in this abuse. The most performative animal rights activist of all time. Nobody eats more meat than me. Nobody hates their dog more than me. So true. I have not participated in this abuse. But I will be present for the release day, obviously. You've been campaigning for it. Yeah. Finally. That's definitely something I'm excited about. Yeah. Because animals are friends. I agree. Not entertainment. Not food. I would never eat an animal byproduct.

13:37Jackie Oshry:You would never. Not fashion. No, no. Never. Not a friend. Not a friend. Today's Tuesday, which means we does have. We does have. We just have Dear Toasters. The rumors are true. I deleted Ohlandria. And I think we should have in. Unfortunately, we don't have Nicolandra updates today. Oh, really? I saw she spoke. I thought you were going to choose it. You're lying. Yeah, just like. I'll slip it. It might have been like a thread. Just being like, you know, we accomplished so much this year. She's talking to like her fans who are like seriously ill in the head. They're coming for us because we keep clipping.

14:10Jackie Oshry:We're rage beating like the Nicolandra fans. And they just keep calling us like fat white bitches. Like that's what they're calling us. one of them said we were fat white bitches with receding hairlines excuse me I am fat and I am white even though I am technically an ethno religion but let's not get into it I don't have a receding hairline bitch okay like let's speak facts okay that's crazy where do you see such and when you guys are calling us fat like we just had babies yeah what's your excuse oh this is all happening on TikTok would you like me to read some of our hate comments oh my god I want to see them it's funny no I hate when you like need to see stuff download TikTok if you need to see stuff no I can't I don't see it that bad let me do

14:45Claudia Oshry:I don't want to read this filth I was going about my day having a good time. I didn't know we were getting hate. I had no clue.

14:53Jackie Oshry:Y 'all, this Toast podcast, count your days.

14:59Okay.

15:01Jackie Oshry:White women with receding hairlines hating on Alandria. What's new? Is that a problem for her? The receding hairline community? Hating on her? I'm not sure. Alandria's contacting her lawyers. I'm sure she is. Not that bad. No, no. They're on the toast. Let me, you really want me to pull them up here. Okay. Why do you guys have so much smoke for Olandria but not Nick? I actually think we're equally. You're not paying attention.

15:29Claudia Oshry:And we hold Olandria to a much higher standard. No, but that's why, like, you can't comment on clips of shows that you don't watch.

15:36Jackie Oshry:Hope she sues y 'all too. Defamation of character. Calling them frauds. That's disgusting. Ugh, the hate. It's exhausting. You would believe it. It's invigorating. It's true. You would believe Alandrez with Travis Scott before her and Nick were ever being real? Yeah.

15:51Claudia Oshry:No, but I'm not even saying Alandrez with Travis Scott. I'm just saying I like the rumor.

15:55Jackie Oshry:No smoke for Iris or Papaya breaking up by reunion. I appreciate that they broke up by the reunion.

16:02Claudia Oshry:By the way, no one's given Papaya more smoke than us.

16:04Jackie Oshry:And no one's given Papaya less thought than us. Like, we never voted for her. And Iris and Pepe, they mean? Yeah. Okay. I guess there's, like, a lot of discourse right now with Iris, TJ, and Pepe. I don't watch Beyond the Villa, but the timeline is not 100 % legit for Iris. And remember when she left the island with Pepe and then that day, DeHimsey caught her outside with... I think there was more to it than that. Okay. And there's just a lot of drama between the losers on Beyond the Villa.

16:32Claudia Oshry:But that sort of behavior is exactly what they were doing on the island, where it's like she's between two guys. Right, you're testing connections. Yeah, so she's sort of just finishing out the experiment. I don't really have a problem with that. I don't either. but like sure apples and oranges go ahead sure Nicolandria's fraud

16:46Jackie Oshry:yeah like what are you talking about like I'm holding space for multiple truths yeah but one thing that will always be true is that Nicolandria was never real

16:54Claudia Oshry:no and it's like we can't talk about Nicolandria's fraudulence because all these other couples broke up like just like Wes Wilson can't talk about trans women in sports because because there's war I'm sorry we're holding space for multiple truths uh huh I can have multiple conversations and opinions And I often do. And I guess, is that unique? I didn't think so. But maybe it is.

17:16Jackie Oshry:Not for the toasters.

17:17Claudia Oshry:One thing's for sure, Nicolandria was never real. No. And that's your Nicolandria rage bait for the day. I feel better. Okay. Without further ado-da-da-da-do, it is time for the Fast Five Stories that Yida Do Need to Know. And the Fast Five Stories that Yida Do Need to Know are brought to you by Amazon Music. They are. Because, Claudia, I was looking at my phone this morning and realized my home screen is actually embarrassing. I have a different app for everything. I'm listening to. Music in one place, podcasts in another, audiobooks somewhere else. It's just too much.

17:46Jackie Oshry:I get it. It's very not sweeper friendly, but let me tell you as the sweeper in charge here, you do not have to live like that. If you're constantly bouncing between apps just to find something to listen to, there's a better way and it's Amazon Music. We've been using Amazon Music Unlimited because it does all the music, podcasts, and now audiobooks in one app. So it just makes things a lot more streamlined and a lot easier. And speaking of audiobooks, guess who just started Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir?

18:08Claudia Oshry:It's so good, Turteloo. I just finished it And there were multiple times where I would get home and just stay in the car listening or maybe drive around a little more to finish the chapter. The narration is incredible. And you know how picky I am with audiobooks, Tertie. It's very personal. I know. It's absolutely toe certified.

18:23Jackie Oshry:I know. I'm sold. So it's exactly the kind of book that makes errands feel exciting. So whether you're listening to your favorite playlist, catching up on podcasts, or like Jackie, completely disappearing into an audiobook, having everything in one place just makes sense.

18:34Claudia Oshry:Amazon Music. Music, podcasts, and audiobooks all in one app. Download today to start listening.

18:39Jackie Oshry:Today's episode is also brought to you by Roback. Let's talk about the category of outfit that is deeply under-discussed, which is the outfit that can survive an entire day. We are not dressing for one activity anymore. We're dressing for the possibility that your morning walk becomes errands, errands become lunch, lunch becomes pickleball, and then suddenly you're at dinner wearing the same thing, pretending that was your plan all along. That's why Roback has become a staple for us this summer. It is very cute active wear, but not in a way where you look aggressively athletic or like you're training for something.

19:07Jackie Oshry:It's more sporty, pulled together. And that's really the energy we're trying to give this summer, especially because, yeah, a lot of days we leave the house for the toast. And then lunch and, you know, trips to the Cape, clam bakes. Next thing you know, it's like 6 o 'clock and you're having dinner in the outfit you had breakfast in. They have really great skorts, which is such a good summer look. Really flattering. The waistbands are super comfortable. They give you a smooth, held-in feeling without being tight or annoying. And the colors that they come in are very pretty. Classic neutrals, but also fun summer shades that make the whole outfit feel a little bit more styled.

19:34Jackie Oshry:So whether you're golfing, playing tennis, walking, doing school pickup, running errands, traveling, or just trying to look like an eligible bachelorette at an ice coffee establishment, Roback has a look for you. Use code TOAST, T-O-A-S-T, on Roback.com for 20 % off your first order through the end of this week. That's R-H-O-B-A-C-K.com. And ladies, if you shop for your man, highly recommend Roback, one for their golf stuff. Ben says it's amazing. But also they have really just like nice loungewear for men, which I think can be hard to find. So head to Roback.com, use code TOAST for 20 % off your first order through the end of this week.

20:34Jackie Oshry:So I think a lot of us know the benefits of fasting. Unfortunately for some of us, it's just not an option because you have to fast. And Prolon is actually a program that mimics, it'll literally trick your body into thinking it's fasting, but you're having snacks, you're having soups, you're having beverages. Today's episode is also brought to you by Starbucks Frappuccino drinks. So you know the bottled Starbucks Frappuccino drinks.

21:38Jackie Oshry:You've seen them your whole life. They're so good. They're so popular for a reason. They've been around forever. They're a perfect, delicious blend of indulgence and coffee. It's going to put your day on the right track. It's a delicious taste and a creamy flavor, which is a perfect way to start the day with a sweet treat and a smile. I think a lot of people are looking for sweet treats throughout the day, but also a lot of us are looking for kickstarts. You know, just trying to feel our best, feel energized. And the Starbucks bottled frappuccino drinks are the perfect blend of both because they are so delicious.

22:01Jackie Oshry:And it's got that classic Starbucks taste as well. The frappuccino is a sweet moment of joy in an otherwise busy day. Great thing to have at your office or at home, whether you're a busy mom, a working woman, just a girl trying to do the most. Starbucks frappuccino drinks are there for you. And you can find the bottled Starbucks frappuccino drinks wherever you buy gas or groceries.

22:21Claudia Oshry:Thank you, Tertsurys. You're welcome. Our first story. Word on the street is that Brooks Nader has split from Taryn Egerton amid Baywatch filming. She's living her best single life. So Brooks and Taryn have called it quits after being romantically linked four months ago. Their relationship was casual, but Brooks ended things with him, a source told Us Weekly. She's living her best single life right now and is embracing Euro summer in Saint-Tropez. The insider adds that Brooks is having a lot of fun during her downtime from filming Baywatch and juggling additional projects she currently has in the works.

22:52Claudia Oshry:She's very busy and is excited to be single.

22:55Jackie Oshry:Yeah, I mean, I did not think that this was going to be, like, the end all be all. But at one point, like, they went to Australia together, like, which is where he's from, which is kind of, like, a big thing to do for, like, a fling. And they were together a lot. Yeah. Which is what you do with someone you really like. You spend a lot of time together. Well, I'm not surprised that this didn't work out. Like, I'm surprised that it kind of fizzled quickly. That it was so short and, like, such nothing. Yeah, and I was, like, kind of down.

23:20Claudia Oshry:Yeah, no, I don't know why I was just, like, was, like, this is different and also because he doesn't seem like someone she would choose i'm like well she must like really like him yeah and no she doesn't really like him must have been fun for

23:31Jackie Oshry:taryn because obviously this is like the hottest woman he'll ever be with maybe she does really like him she's very much a lover girl you know yeah she's not like shallow and she's not like she's like not a slut like when on her show she was saying that she got married super young i think like literally she had sex with just him like she has like a lot of boyfriends now but she's not like slutty so like for her to like go and travel like i feel like she actually really liked him. Yeah.

23:52Claudia Oshry:So I wonder what happened. I do think like all of this will be on next love that I need her. I think. Oh please. Now.

23:58Jackie Oshry:Yeah. Sure. One thing like I'm starting to get annoyed. Yeah. Like my patient and I'm not a patient person. I feel as though I've actually been incredibly patient. You're not a patient.

24:07Claudia Oshry:What did you say?

24:08Jackie Oshry:Person.

24:08Claudia Oshry:Patient.

24:09Jackie Oshry:Patient. Patient. Yeah. Patient. Okay. When you like don't like to wait for stuff. Okay. I didn't know. Yeah. Patient. It's a new word of the day. And I feel like I've actually been quite patient with this and

24:20Claudia Oshry:time's up yeah big time but what does that mean what will how will your impatience present itself

24:25Jackie Oshry:i don't just feel like i used to talk about it really complimentary like i can't wait and now it's like you know what i can wait like whatever i already have i'll keep waiting yeah and like hulu has released 1 000 shows since then house of stasi premieres today like but even house of stasi didn't we hear about that like five years ago it's true and then she had to like slum it on vanderpump villa just to get her own show from lisa vanderpump and now she got it so i understand that these things take time.

24:49Claudia Oshry:And I just will never understand why we couldn't get the second half of the first season of Love, I Need. Oh, yeah. It was filmed and ready to go.

24:55Jackie Oshry:Did you see the trailer for House of Stassi?

24:57Claudia Oshry:Yeah.

24:57Jackie Oshry:So I knew this, but they did tease a lot. There's a big fight between Taylor Strecker and Katie Maloney. And I'm so ready. Obviously, I'm going to stan Taylor no matter what. She's my best friend. And I was going to have her back. But she couldn't have chosen a more worthy adversary. And I'm so team Taylor. I don't even really know what happened. I wanted to watch a true viewer. I was like, don't tell me. Team Taylor. Like, I don't know what happened, but Team Taylor. Of course. I can't stand that, Katie Maloney. Of course. She's also your friend. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. So I would have had her back regardless.

25:26Jackie Oshry:But now at least she wasn't fighting with someone I love, you know? Yeah. If she wasn't fighting with Stassi, I would have been like, ew. Now I'm like, no, Team Taylor until I die. Or La La. And honestly, good for her for like, I feel like it's, everyone's like, Katie and Stassi back on TV together. And it's like, well, Katie doesn't do it for me. Like, I get why people are excited. Like, the Vanderpump Rules lore. People are saying that? Yeah. like people love katie and saucy like which is a wee ho yada yada and it's like i was saying taylor and saucy about christian uh christmas on watch happens live saying she does not speak to

25:53Claudia Oshry:saucy yeah that makes sense yeah they were like friends aren't some friendships are just not meant to last forever yeah not every friendship can or should last forever no and the witches of we ho

26:04Jackie Oshry:like was dysfunctional at best yeah it was not meant to last forever it's not meant to last

26:08Claudia Oshry:forever it's a moment in time it's a it's a phase in your life but like we're on to the next phase So I don't even think there has to be like major T. It's just like we have outgrown each other. We are different people. And we've grown in different directions. Yes. I think that's like totally fair. And it doesn't have to be like contentious. And there's no like will they reunite. It's like it's not like that. We grew apart. Yeah. It's not like we're waiting for the come back together.

26:31Jackie Oshry:So all that to say like Hulu has churned out plenty of content in the time that I've personally been waiting. I had a whole baby. Like get it together. Yeah. People put out shit on YouTube quicker.

26:42Claudia Oshry:Yeah, I think Love Thy Nader came out last September. It's truly almost been a year.

26:46Jackie Oshry:No, it's been more than that.

26:48Claudia Oshry:No. Really? I feel like I was watching it in September.

26:50Jackie Oshry:I feel like that was two Septembers ago. No, no, no, no, no. Really? Oh, am I being dramatic?

26:55Claudia Oshry:It's not that bad.

26:56Jackie Oshry:Okay, maybe I'm being so dramatic.

27:01Claudia Oshry:Are you looking it up?

27:02Jackie Oshry:August 2025. So, okay, less than a year. Okay, sorry. I don't know why. Maybe like so much has happened to me personally since then.

27:11Claudia Oshry:No, and like you just like every day have wanted it. Yeah. And so every day feels like an eternity. Wow, that's really crazy. Okay, never mind. I'm sorry for yelling. My bad. So you'll be more patient. You'll exercise more patience. I'll do my best. Okay. Are you ready for our next story? Some couple-y news. Kiki Palmer gushes over genuine chemistry with Hot Ones host Sean Evans after New York City date. so Kiki Palmer was on the Today Show and she gussed over her chemistry with Sean Evans she said our chemistry is genuine I couldn't force that if I tried we always felt that chemistry it's life essentially we met at work we had chemistry work husband work wife you just have that chemistry with people then we hang out when she was asked about how the internet shipping them as a couple how that makes her feel she said I was gagged that everybody was ready to marry me off guys let it cook they married your girl off in two seconds that's funny um she said she's not going to let parasocial fans dictate what she does with Sean she said I don't let it define the way that I think if anything I'm always trying to contextualize things a lot of times I feel like people get that about me you can't just take everything at face value you have to be critically thinking about everything you see and then um yeah and then previously she had spoken about it with Jay Shetty okay I'm like kind of scared like I know it's a lot it's a lot of pressure and I do feel like they were never seen again but I do feel like they're seeing each other oh I really hope so you do yeah i think it's early days and it's like not in a place where you would go on tv and be like oh my god that's my boyfriend even if he is her boyfriend like it's just early days and you don't want to jinx anything and you don't want to put things out into the public before they're solidified you want to protect it and i feel like that if that's what's happening that this is what she should be saying like totally chemistry i love that everybody loves it and i could also see this

28:55Jackie Oshry:like being the thing that she says like when she's like not really into him maybe i'm just like projecting because i'm scared i'm like i personally have a lot i'm like one of the people

29:00Claudia Oshry:she's talking about who's like cosplaying work husband work wife like wasn't great that she said

29:04Jackie Oshry:that correct it wasn't great it's giving dear toasters but maybe she doesn't like know that

29:08Claudia Oshry:those terms have a negative connotation i don't know like kiki palmer is very much of this world

29:12Jackie Oshry:she is that's like why people love her she's so real but of the corporate world of like regular degular maybe not maybe not you see she had oprah on her podcast i did she's so i'm so glad like everyone like finally i feel that like understands her talent yeah Took some people longer, but that's fine.

29:29Claudia Oshry:It's fine. It's just like, love, I need her. Right, right. It will come. Right. So, yeah, silently rooting for these two. Of course. Not going to be one to put pressure on.

29:37Jackie Oshry:No, of course not. I would never.

29:39Claudia Oshry:But just, like, sort of lapping up every update we get. And, like, pinning a lot of my hopes and dreams on it.

29:45Jackie Oshry:No big deal. In a not-a-big-deal kind of way.

29:48Claudia Oshry:Yeah. Yeah. Our next story is amazing news for the cardboard sweepers out there. Cardboard sweepers? What's going on? For the digital sweepers. peacock will start to be included in youtube premium subscription bundle starting in 2027 you guys this is how it starts by the way like this is how it starts because like yeah like

30:05Jackie Oshry:every tv network at one point then they formed like cable you know like that's what's gonna happen yeah they all buy each other up now and then we have like big you pay like one thing to

30:15Claudia Oshry:the cable company you pay netflix and you can watch everything right and youtube and that's

30:20Jackie Oshry:cable oh that's very interesting so i have youtube tv that's that's not youtube premium is it i feel like it is because when you buy youtube premium is like for the youtube app when you want to like skip commercials and be able to like download shit for your flight no but like if i'm paying for youtube tv i don't think you get peacock honestly that's crazy yeah oh it's a new youtube premium

30:47Claudia Oshry:bundle okay so under a new multi-year agreement between mbc and youtube peacock pre and pre-cock peacock premium which includes ads will be available in a new so what's premium about it in a new youtube premium bundle in the u.s you guys this is just like simplify it okay yeah

31:04Jackie Oshry:it sounds like like no one's getting like a good deal here just simplify it yeah like if you play

31:08Claudia Oshry:geek go bop and people it's literally you can have bleep up for dinner if you didn't get the see poop up then your bleep whoop won't have creep whoop up it's so true it's literally so fucking true like just simplify it can i have youtube and peacock please i think that's like

31:23Jackie Oshry:what you get but only if you buy youtube premium which like which is a new thing i just want to say no it's not a new thing i just want to say nobody has youtube premium no it's like not a

31:34Claudia Oshry:popular thing so this is how they're like premium costs 15.99 a month and provides ad reviewing on

31:38Jackie Oshry:youtube i'm sorry 15 a month to like skip ads on youtube that's insane play videos in the

31:43Claudia Oshry:background download for offline viewing we paid for youtube premium do you remember what when um when shane dawson and jeffree star of course that actually that is true did they did we upgraded because we were going on a flight and so we wanted to download every episode because we were so

32:01Jackie Oshry:obsessed with it the level of embarrassment i feel for being so obsessed and at least i wasn't alone like it was millions of people and like normal people like we're normal we weren't even like big YouTube fans.

32:14Claudia Oshry:We weren't makeup people. I never heard of Shane Dawson. I think this was also my first foray into Jeffrey.

32:20Jackie Oshry:The way I bought YouTube Premium, yes I did. I bought makeup. I was streaming every episode the second that I dropped. Am I okay? We were so obsessed with it. Why? I don't know.

32:33Claudia Oshry:I think it must have been really good. It was. Considering all of those factors and yet we were still obsessed.

32:38Jackie Oshry:We're discerning women. For a really long time, they held the record for most sales generated on a Shopify website. in a 24-hour period. Like, it wasn't just us.

32:45Claudia Oshry:We are discerning women of taste. So they were obviously doing something. And I just want to say, like, I'm not embarrassed that we did that. I think it just shows range, right?

32:54Jackie Oshry:Yeah. No, and it shows, like, open-mindedness. But it also shows that, like, we, and maybe it's because, like, we were younger back then, but I really feel that, like, I'm sort of above getting, like, swept up in things. And I see, like, even Nicolandria. Like, I see people getting swept up. It's like, I'm not, like, you can't convince me. But you know what? I was convinced. There was a time. But, like, that was the truth, right?

33:16Claudia Oshry:Like, what was, you know, it was just, like, so not us. And that this ugly, like, man, man was, like, selling the most popular collab makeup. Yeah, men wear makeup. Like, not him. No, no, no. That it was him.

33:37Jackie Oshry:That it was him. But remember that scene when they were, like, re-array? So they had all the colors, but like they weren't in the palette yet. They had them in the plastic little tins. And Jay, I'm screaming. Jeffrey was like arranging it. So like how it would be in the palette, like the color story. I think that's what it was called back then. And Shane is watching him and he's like, like watching Michelangelo paint the assistant job. He's like, whoa, whoa. Like, it's like so dramatic. And he's just like moving eyeshadows in a square. oh my god like that was such an amazing time to be alive it was we were having fun and i do feel

34:19Claudia Oshry:certain that like there was something there there was that had everyone like it was including us

34:25Jackie Oshry:yeah it was a combination like of the time where like youtube drama like was really really popular um and makeup collabs like between huge companies and these influencers were like insanely popular was like very like King Kylie era almost with these crazy colors. So like I get it. I get why we got caught up. But like me now, I could never. No, I know. I guess it just speaks to, you know, maturity.

34:51Claudia Oshry:Yeah, it does. Which there's a time and a place. Yeah. For the conspiracy palette. Yeah. I held on to mine for a while too. Me too. Collector's item. Yeah.

35:01Jackie Oshry:And let me tell you that big, like that shit was ugly. Like, first of all, not one color could I use. They were like sparkly greens. No, the sparkly green didn't make it. Right.

35:12Claudia Oshry:And then they made it a separate shade because people were like so mad. And then they remade the palette and then they included it. And like that's, they sold even more palettes from people who had already bought the first palette because there was one new color. But let me tell you, I thought about it. The palette itself. I thought about it to buy a green color that I've never worn in my life and I never will wear. The palette itself was. That's on marketing.

35:32Jackie Oshry:It weighed 15 pounds. It was like a treasure chest with like a lock.

35:36Claudia Oshry:Oh, I didn't have that one. The Conspiracy. I got the mini. Just the black square. I guess I didn't go crazy.

35:43Jackie Oshry:Yeah, and then I did become like briefly obsessed with Jeffree Star Cosmetics. And I do think that the quality was there. I think one of the best palettes ever made was the Orgy Palette. It was great except for the names of the colors. Everything was like, come sucker. It was just insane. And it said Big Orgy on top. But it was like 30 of the prettiest neutrals. All from beige to brown. Things that I use. Like I don't use anything besides beige and brown on my eyes. And that was like, that deserved the hype of the conspiracy palette. And it was just like embarrassing. My makeup artist, Carla. Yeah.

36:11Claudia Oshry:Like this is the ugliest thing I've ever seen.

36:13Jackie Oshry:Yeah. Can you buy it? Like,

36:15Claudia Oshry:let me shop the conspiracy palette.

36:18Jackie Oshry:And it was like, it was conspiracy. It was conspiracy themed. Cause like it was a palette collab with Shane Dawson. Right. And he was like, does conspiracies. Documentaries. Chuck E. Cheese recycles old pizzas.

36:28Claudia Oshry:Right. Which like, do they?

36:32Jackie Oshry:I can't speak on that.

36:33Claudia Oshry:You've seen it though, right? No. Oh yes, that they make pies with slices from other pies. Yeah, like if you bought a pie and you didn't eat all the slices, they'll take the slices that weren't eaten and put them in another pie. Obviously it's not great, but there are people that do worse things in their restaurants. No, that's really disgusting. Oh, okay, yeah. And it's like, then you see a picture of a Chuck E. Cheese pizza pie, and it does look like a mission. And it's not connected. It's not connected. There's not harmony.

36:58Jackie Oshry:There's not like cheese bridges between slices.

37:00Claudia Oshry:Yeah, where like this cheese was broken from that cheese. Yeah. Let me look at a piece of here. Like, sorry, this is really damning. Maybe it was just like, that is.

37:11Jackie Oshry:Maybe it was just like one location, you know?

37:14Claudia Oshry:Or maybe this like one picture.

37:15Jackie Oshry:Yeah.

37:16Claudia Oshry:That is so funny.

37:18Jackie Oshry:How did we start talking about this?

37:20Claudia Oshry:I don't know. I'll find any opportunity to bring it up. Of course. What was the story? Why we once paid for YouTube premium money. Oh, oh yeah, of course. All's that to say. Very normal tangent.

37:30Jackie Oshry:I would love to get free Peacock, but I don't need YouTube premium. And how do you feel about ads? If I'm paying for a subscription, there is no world in which there should be a subscription that has ads. If I'm going to get the free version, of course, yes, give me advertisements. If I'm paying and there's literally one commercial, that's bullshit. That is fucking bullshit, but that's like a new thing now. A lot of these services have multiple tiers. And some of the tiers are like, yeah, you could pay less, but you still got commercials. I'm sorry, commercials? Or insane.

38:01Claudia Oshry:Yeah.

38:01Jackie Oshry:It's wrong. Well, that's like freebie. It's free. Right. But there's a lot of commercials. But that's fine.

38:06Claudia Oshry:Yeah.

38:06Jackie Oshry:And that's why. That's why I like Bloopla. See, I always buy. I like to watch a Bloopla. I always buy like the most expensive version of a subscription service. And that's why. Hey, big spender. That's why I cancel them in the off season. Of course. Of course. Because yes, when I'm not using Peacock, I have the most expensive Peacock. I think it's like$16 a month. So yeah, like cardboard. Take that in your cardboard and smoke it.

38:29Claudia Oshry:Yeah.

38:29Jackie Oshry:Yeah.

38:31Claudia Oshry:Are you ready for our next story? Mm-hmm. Which is our fourth story. Mm-hmm. So a little more updates in the Paige Paul influencer gate.

38:40Jackie Oshry:Yeah, I saw. And, you know, we had posted a clip about this and people had a lot of strong responses.

38:45Claudia Oshry:Yes, it's very mixed in terms of what people are saying. And the store itself.

38:50Jackie Oshry:I think it only proves, like, how normalized influencer hate has become. Wow. No, for real. And it's like, yeah, there are influencers who are awful, right? Like they film you without your consent or they come and like ask small businesses for free stuff. Like, of course. Are we just making generalizations now based on stereotypes of groups of people?

39:06Claudia Oshry:Yeah.

39:06Jackie Oshry:I don't do that. Do you? Right. Like I thought we were not supposed to do that. I thought that's a bad thing to do. It's like the same way that like I always see videos of like a cop like being really mean. Like and then they say like, oh, she sued and she got. Does that mean all cops are bad? No. Like we're judging a group of people based on their jobs based on the work of like select individuals. Like that's actually exactly what we were taught not to do. Right. It's called stereotyping.

39:29Claudia Oshry:The store posted an in-feed, first a picture of the sign, and then said, Our shop is a third-generation antique business about to celebrate its 100th year doing business on the island next year. In our store, we promote art and antiques and represent over 40 artisans of all nature and arts and crafts, yada, yada, yada. No offense, but John, I guess that's the owner, didn't even know who Paige Paul was 24 hours ago. He doesn't really do social media. I had to tell him. The no influencer sign isn't about her and never was.

39:57Jackie Oshry:But her comment did not say. No, we assumed it's about her. We did. And I think that, like, she represents the culture. But she never said, like, I'm taking this person. She actually made a great statement on behalf of influencers worldwide. Yes. But so they're sort of focusing on, like, look, she thinks it's about herself.

40:11Claudia Oshry:She never said that. This person said, this is a cultural discussion. One to talk about openly and honestly in your own community and neighborhood. Oh, okay. Do you like people filming around you, talking on your streets into tiny microphones, recording themselves in your shop, recording you incidentally, walking past a ring light as you quietly make your way to get a coffee at 8 a.m. Recording next to you as you try to eat with friends. The list goes on and on. So it's really more of a statement on influencer culture. And the annoying influencer, sure. Of course. And Paige responded to this in a comment.

40:39Claudia Oshry:She was in our comments, you see. Because someone was like, it's annoying, you know, with people are filming and blah, blah, blah.

40:45Jackie Oshry:And asking for free stuff. Like, I agree. There are things that influencers do that are annoying. There are things that accountants do that are annoying. Like, stop trying to make me pay my tax bill. Like, I don't know why we're, like, focusing so heavily on what this particular industry does wrong.

40:56Claudia Oshry:So the person commented saying, I feel like the no influencer sign means don't be in here making content. Like, come and be normal. Don't be an influencer in our store. I don't feel like it means if you're an influencer, they don't want you in it at all. But that's what the sign said. She said they could have made a sign that said that, but they didn't. They could have made a sign that said no filming.

41:11Jackie Oshry:Right, no content. If you wanted it to be snarky, Sherry, like, you could have made, like, a snarky. No, they literally said no influencers. I'm sorry, you're not going to change my mind on this. They're banning people, not behavior.

41:18Claudia Oshry:Like I don't feel comfortable going into that store. I like I couldn't go. I can't go. And the things I would never start like filming and like being obstructive in the store. And I'm the first person to be like, don't get randoms in your content. Don't be. Of course. And I'm so shy about.

41:33Jackie Oshry:There is like a code of ethics. Yes. When you are a person who films in public. And yes, a lot of influencers do not follow that. And a lot of them also like, you know, their shtick is like sort of slapstick public humiliation. So like they thrive on being sort of nuisances in public. And yeah, that's all well and we can have a conversation about that. But that's not what these people were doing. So now you want to change the tune, but that's not what you were doing.

41:55Claudia Oshry:Yeah. So right, no filming.

41:56Jackie Oshry:You were just straight up discriminating.

41:58Claudia Oshry:You were.

41:59Jackie Oshry:Yeah, say no filming, no Instagram.

42:01Claudia Oshry:No content, no pictures.

42:03Jackie Oshry:No ring lights.

42:04Claudia Oshry:Yeah, no ring lights. I agree, like a ring light is disruptive. Yeah, and there are like annoying people. Of course. And you know what? They're not even like influencers. Correct. They're the wannabes. It's so true. Yeah, and then people like will have content. And they'll have someone in the background that like zoom in on that person's reaction. Like I don't like stuff like that. I hate that.

42:21Jackie Oshry:I don't like. People who film other people. It's actually like a big drama right now. I don't know if you saw this guy like went over to this couple who was like making out in a park. Like a public park. And was filming them. It was kind of giving them. Astronomer. I saw about it. But please. They're like two high profile lawyers who I believe are having an affair. But it's like. It's kind of like their business. Like have an affair. Yeah. You know.

42:42Claudia Oshry:Yeah. And it's like with Astronomer. It was like well don't go to a concert together.

42:45Jackie Oshry:It was like it was an unfortunate. it like they didn't mean to but like people go to concerts and it was like you can't just like walk up to somebody and film them like i'm sorry i'm actually with the adulterers on that one

42:52Claudia Oshry:yeah no they're like conducting their business what say can't go to the park like right you know right are you ready for our next story our fifth and final i am you know it's a choose your own adventure okay would you like to discuss lebron further or kind of discuss Megan Markle on Top Chef Australia. Shit. We could do both.

43:16Jackie Oshry:No, because we have to do Dear Toasters. We haven't talked about Megan in a while. And I saw the clip of her.

43:21Claudia Oshry:I've ignored this story for so long because I'm like. They're making it such a big deal. I'm like, yeah. And it's like, I feel like sometimes when we pick Megan's stories, people are like, you just want to hate on Megan. Like you always paint her in a bad way. So I'm like, okay.

43:31Jackie Oshry:So I just won't pick Megan.

43:33Claudia Oshry:I just won't pick Megan like because this isn't news. Like when anyone is a guest judge on anything, like that's not news. Right. And I don't pick Megan.

43:39Jackie Oshry:I pick Clark. outfit club let's talk about megan because i saw the video um it like went viral of her actual appearance and like the people were freaking out and rightfully so like it's insane um people are like kind of like freaking out about this yes it's outsized news for a guest judging

43:55Claudia Oshry:spot like it has gotten to a point where i've actually sat down and thought about it because i just kept pressing by megan's doing megan and i'm not gonna get in her way of course but then I was like I don't know for the 50th time I saw it and I was like Meghan Markle is a guest host on Top Chef Australia.

44:11Jackie Oshry:Master Chef Australia. Why? So I think why I think it's interesting is because I feel like they're kind of making a sort of like obvious shift. They've sort of like you know exhausted the resources of America and obviously they can't go to the UK and Australia is like this huge other world that is like has a lot of popular culture has a lot of media and so like yeah let's start like farming there and i feel like she just did that event remember and it was in australia and now she's on master show i feel like they're just gonna start like milking australia next they're taking over the world one continent at a time i wouldn't say they're taking over the world because they didn't take over america they almost did like they almost i just want to say like the collective um like switch up on megan and harry should be studied because they almost had us like by the balls like everyone was obsessed with them like everything they did like yes what's my queen that's my queen and literally all it took was with love megan to make everyone's that actually was the turning point and his book no people still like ate up the book no there was like viral clips of the audiobook with love jam and and confessions of a female founder was bad yeah that's like we've always been like a little bit critical but also it's like here's the what

45:22Claudia Oshry:the problem was more so this it's like they came to us with this story and everyone was like oh my gosh yes like privacy and private and it's like with every move they made that was like antithetical to their mission statement yeah it just chipped away at what they did more and more so it wasn't just like one thing but like even the documentary it's like wait you're putting out a documentary about this story that like all you insanely private you're getting so personal and we're like okay that's a lot but like tell your truth treasure and then it's the book and then you go back and like remember the oprah thing and it's like wait you guys are literally like doing the The opposite of what you said that you wanted.

45:58Claudia Oshry:And it's just coming off so hypocritical and phony. And then the more and more in the With Love and the podcast, it's like, wait, you guys are actually like the thirstiest people alive. When you said that like you were wanting to be dehydrated.

46:11Jackie Oshry:They overplayed their hand because people in America were like giving them a lot of grace. It was like, yeah, they want privacy. But like, yes, give us the documentary. So imagine how much shit they had to do for people to like finally like really turn on them. So they sort of exhausted all the options. And I think that they're headed west, east, wherever.

46:28Claudia Oshry:It depends which way you want to go, where you're flying from. They're headed to the outback. They are. So, okay, I like that theory because first I was like, this is so not.

46:40Jackie Oshry:The last two public appearances were both in Australia.

46:42Claudia Oshry:And not on the same trip. But it's like, I couldn't even imagine her being on like MasterChef America as a guest judge. Like, that's just like what like random former pop stars do. Like, it's just like very random. And it's like one thing that you do in the sea of millions of other little things that you do. So like the fact that she doesn't do a lot of little things. I'm like, why this? Okay, so say they're taking over Australia. Like, why start with MasterChef?

47:09Jackie Oshry:Well, I think she liked the, maybe she learned, like, with Love, Megan, like, wouldn't have been such a flop if it was the first thing she did out of the Brexit gate, Megxit gate. I think that, like, the role of, like, Joanna Gaines' homemaker is actually a good lane for her. She fucked it up in America. So maybe she's like starting fresh in Australia with that. You know, she's not trying to be like an author or an actor. She's just doing food. Food. Yeah.

47:36Claudia Oshry:And she can go to Australia and be billed as like the lifestyle guru. Food expert. Yep. Even though we know here, like it wasn't expert. That it's just edible flowers. Yeah. And it wasn't expert. Okay. I also think based on the crown, so that's where I'm getting my information, like Australia really love Diana. And they're sort of going to go. She definitely fancies herself a modern day Diana. And they're going to go soak up some of that goodwill. Yeah, yeah. There's goodwill there for them.

48:02Jackie Oshry:That's true. The Australian people, like I believe, are very friendly people. And I think they have a lot of love for the crown, but also like they understand the complexities of it. Yes, they love Diana. That's a good call too. Maybe she thinks that like she'll be well received there. Yeah, because. But they're also just like running out of places. Yeah.

48:15Claudia Oshry:But there is a lot of, like, love to be had there for them that's, like, lingering from Diana. From Diana. Like, the whole Diana left in the Outback. Yeah. That's beautiful. Yes. So, I don't know. I just, like, once I started to think about, like, what she did there, I was like, that's really crazy that that's where we're at. For, like, the woman who was really the most famous woman in the world at one point is, like, slumming in on this random cooking show. And she still is one of the most famous women in the world because, like, she's still famous whether or not she's liked or not. True. Like, she's a massive deal.

48:45Claudia Oshry:this random you would think she would like have different standards yeah and it's just like what's what's the what's the plan here oh i don't think you know what i mean like where's the manager oh i don't think the brand story and how does this connect to the next movie you know like i just feel like it's just like there's no plan no no they're flying by the seat of their hands this level and just like i said with her social media like i don't think she has and she doesn't have a social agency or a team she does it herself and like there's where are the professionals

49:14Jackie Oshry:there are a couple of people who do their social medias themselves and absolutely have to stop Blake, Blake Lively being one of them. Have you ever like watched her Instagram stories? They're fucking crazy. It's a reshare of a story of a reel from a post, like with the person, original person's caption and then the reshare is caption and then the caption and then Blake's caption in like funky texts. And it's so long always like she has some of the worst social media ever. And actually when she's obviously clearly trying to like come back from, from this and just like rebuild goodwill and social media is a great place to do that and she's really not doing herself any favors it's awful her blake brown beauty is going

49:48Claudia Oshry:out of business really i haven't heard that's just what i heard i haven't heard totally alleged

49:53Jackie Oshry:unconfirmed i like blake brown beauty it's just what i heard i don't i didn't i don't use it so

50:00Claudia Oshry:much anymore because it's too scented but if you like scents yeah like a fragrance sometimes i was craving fragrance when i met jesse draper and i was jealous of her hair smell yeah because a hair

50:10Jackie Oshry:smell like is a perfume.

50:11Claudia Oshry:I know and it's like but then I have to live with it 24-7. You know what?

50:14Jackie Oshry:That's why I like getting a weekly blowout which yes thank you for noticing I did get yesterday because they like scrub the shit out of your hair and they always use like a nice salon shampoo and you know what you do have like a fragrance. My hair smells great. My hair smells great too. For like a couple of because it's a deeper wash than you get at home.

50:28Claudia Oshry:My hair smells great.

50:29Jackie Oshry:Let's dive into Dear Toasters our weekly advice segment that's brought to you by Honest. Let's talk to the moms for a second or anyone who's ever had to shop for a baby. The baby aisle is one of the most overwhelming places on earth. There are a thousand options for everything. Wipes, diapers, bath products, lotions. It's decision fatigue before you've even made it to the checkout line. So finding a brand that you trust just makes everything so much easier and giving you one less thing to overthink. Now that we're moms, we totally get it before having a baby. I think we thought like what was on the shelf was on the shelf and a diaper is a diaper and a cream is a cream.

50:54Jackie Oshry:But that's not true. When you're making the decisions about every single product that you bring into your home, you want products that you can trust without having to spend an hour reading the label. So finding a brand that makes those choices feel easy is such a gift. And that's why Honest was created. They make baby essentials made for life's most delicate skin. Honest holds every product to their highest standard, which is the Honest standard. It's thoughtfully choosing the ingredients that they put in and the ones that they leave out. The baby products are hypoallergenic, a dermatologist tested.

51:18Jackie Oshry:Parents can feel confident in the products that they're using for messes, for bath time, for diaper changes and beyond. And the Honest Clean Conscious Wipes have become one of those things we refuse to leave the house without. They're great for diaper changes, but also using them for everything else because when you need a wipe, you just need a wipe. They're in the diaper bag, they're in the car, the studio. One of those products that make you realize that you will use constantly once you have a baby. So from their wipes to be personal care and diapers, Honest makes products designed for the delicate details that matter most.

And have we ever slipped up? No. Not once. Until today. Here are the three chosen today.

56:28Jackie Oshry:Hey, Swirlies. I need some advice. I just received a full wedding invite to a girl I went to high school with. She was invited to mine a few years ago. We're certainly not, like, close anymore. Our only texts with each other in the last four years are the addresses to send invites. She's using a website for RSVP, which has you add in your name and then lets you RSVP for your full party. I've tried every variation of my name and my husband's name, and we just aren't on the list. Do I text her and say it won't let me RSVP, or do I just wait until she texts me to ask if we can come? We received a save the date and an invitation, so I think we're in there somewhere, but I don't know how to awkwardly ask if my name is spelled wrong or if she forgot to add us.

57:00Jackie Oshry:I'm a super non-confrontational person and severely awkward about social mishaps, so I'm not sure the best way to approach this. S.O.S. from a girly that doesn't want to make a scene. She got an invitation? She got a save the date and an invitation, and I think on these wedding websites, you can't just RSVP. It has to say Claudia Oshry, and if that name is in the system, it'll say, okay, you're RSVP, but she tried all these different variations and like her name's not there. And I think she thinks just because they have like this kind of like fake relationship and it's kind of crazy that she was invited in the first place, maybe the girl like changed her mind or uninvited her.

57:26Jackie Oshry:But I think that if you were uninvited after receiving an invitation, it would have been a little bit more overt than like your name not adding up.

57:34Claudia Oshry:Yeah, I think if she went to the trouble of sending you an invitation, you're invited. And you know, technology is funky. It's true. Also, that sounds really complicated. Like that you have to spell your name exactly correctly the way that they thought that you would want. So I would just text her and be like, hi, invitation was beautiful. I'm having a hard time RSVPing on the website. But Dan and I will be there. So excited to celebrate.

57:54Jackie Oshry:Yeah. And if you are uninvited, like she does have to tell you. So you're sort of giving her the opportunity.

58:00Claudia Oshry:I would say so excited to celebrate because like that could mean like even if we're not invited. Like it could mean we're getting drinks one day to celebrate your wedding.

58:06Jackie Oshry:Yeah, no, I think it's safe for you to assume that you're invited. You got an invitation. I agree.

58:10Claudia Oshry:And like, by the way, it's not like the Oscars. Like she can calm down.

58:14Jackie Oshry:Sometimes people do send a save the date and then you never get the invitation. It's like, well, you're not invited and things change and you got kicked up away.

58:19Claudia Oshry:But this wasn't a save the date. It was an invitation.

58:20Jackie Oshry:She did get the save the date and you also had the invitation. So I think you are invited. Yeah.

58:24Claudia Oshry:I don't know why. And don't feel like, no, you're coming from a place of like inferiority. True. Like you shouldn't, you don't deserve to be invited to this wedding. Like this wedding is like whatever. She would be lucky to have you. She would be lucky to have a girl like you.

58:36Jackie Oshry:You know, you're definitely invited, right?

58:38Claudia Oshry:Dan and I will be there.

58:39Jackie Oshry:Yeah. just yeah don't be like is there something wrong just say hi give your rspp to her got the invitation

58:47Claudia Oshry:so beautiful i'm having trouble doing the website but want to let you know dan and i will be there

58:50Jackie Oshry:so excited to celebrate yeah you're gonna look beautiful most beautiful ride don't lick her ass actually take it back she's a bitch hey girlies love you endlessly help me get over an ick i've been with my husband for a decade we have four kids together in the last few years he is taken to sleeping naked and it slowly escalated to him walking around naked before bedtime. I'm just like not a naked person. I like to be clothed. I sleep in pajamas. I get changed into at least my robe after showering. I wish I could just not be bothered by this, but I can't unsee it. It's so jarring to just see a full frontal penis so often.

59:26Jackie Oshry:Also, when our kids come into our room, he's really naked. He has to get changed under the comforter to quickly cover himself. To me, this is such a turnoff, but he loves it and he feels super comfortable like this.

59:35Claudia Oshry:What do I do? Okay. This is like tough but not so crazy. But I do like the idea of a robe. Yeah. You get the naked feeling. You do. And he could be naked sometimes but his robe is like right there and he can always be like robed. But how do you like tell the person? Because like this is the person who's supposed to love you unconditionally and you're telling them to put their clothes on. Like it's just bad. I feel like you can say that to your husband of 10 years. You just be like what's with all the nudity?

1:00:00Jackie Oshry:Yeah but like you've kind of let it go on too long. That like it's just life now. You can make it about the kids.

1:00:04Claudia Oshry:yeah like that they're getting older and like you don't want them always naked in the world right like if letting them think that like oh i get into like someone's house i can get naked yeah yeah yeah and also like gift him an amazing robe so that like he can sleep in the robe a silk one that feels just like like nothing yeah yeah but then you will get the ick senior man in a robe

1:00:25Jackie Oshry:but a different sort of it yeah it's just proof like no matter how long you've been married like you're not everyone is susceptible to an ick yeah when was the last time you got an ick

1:00:37Jackie Oshry:that's a good question yeah i know i should start like writing them down it's not a lot it's not a lot i told you guys like when ben stole stole the covers for me um i got major ick like go to war get out of my bed and actually happened the other night where like he took them and like i took that we were both asleep actually i'm just remembering this now he like grabbed them for me and i grabbed them back i'm like fuck off he grabbed i'm like oh you're disgusting i feel like he like went to use a product of mine or something you know what

1:01:02Claudia Oshry:That'll do it. And I'm like, no. Get out of here. Get out. Scram. She doesn't want you. A robe. I love that sound of that girl. Yeah. Scram. Get out of here.

1:01:16Jackie Oshry:All right, our third and final dear toasters, dear Jackson turd. I'm a girly in need of advice. My husband recently lost his mom after a fast and brutal battle with cancer, and there have been some really hard family confrontations since then. Lately, I've overheard him talking to himself in the shower a few different times. It's almost like he's in the middle of an argument or having a full conversation with someone. I genuinely can't tell if he's just processing everything that's happened or if it's something I should be more concerned about. I don't want to embarrass him and bring it up. Do I casually bring it up or do I leave it alone and it's his way of working out his grief?

1:01:42Jackie Oshry:Sincerely, a toaster who does not want to overstep.

1:01:44Claudia Oshry:When did she pass? Did it say? Oh, sorry. Before you like throw away the iPad. Yeah, sorry. Like I'm done with the iPad. Throw it in the garbage.

1:01:50Jackie Oshry:Recently.

1:01:52Claudia Oshry:Okay. I would say like he's working through some stuff. Yeah. I would allow him to do so. Me too. And don't like listen because obviously that's like kind of weird to hear as an outsider. I would check in on him and say like how are you doing is everything okay I and you can even mention like I've heard you sometimes like talking you know do you want to talk about it it's crazy

1:02:10Jackie Oshry:because like talking to yourself like is can be like very normal it can also be like a sign of schizophrenia like you know I think a lot of people say like do it and it's like very healthy like but I'm always I know you only talk to yourself in your brain right I'm always thinking to myself

1:02:27Claudia Oshry:thinking like who isn't so what's the difference between all of that and saying it no of course

1:02:32Jackie Oshry:like i but only like in private triggered by a big trauma and the fact that he's doing it in the shower which like for people some people sing like it's very cathartic oh you're making fun because i said i we have a viral clip where jackie was like i don't talk to myself but like no you're like i mean i talk to myself but like in my head and i'm like yeah that's called thinking

1:02:48Claudia Oshry:one of our most it feels very conversational of course like that's called having a brain like I just feel like I'm always in conversation in my brain. You know there's a difference. Sometimes I'm just thinking like up in these clouds and other times I'm like lawyering. Other times I'm lawyering. I don't want to be mean but like you're not special. Like that's what being human is. No and the thing is I don't want to be special. Like I don't want that to be like an oddity. I don't want to be odd. So true. Special is odd. Agreed. Special is different. I just want to be like a moral. I just want to be like a moral.

1:03:18Jackie Oshry:Yeah like why stand out when you were born

1:03:21Claudia Oshry:to fit in that's like that new trend of like people who are sheep where it's like in a world full of botox and filler and cosmetic enhancements this is me and it's like the person in the crowd yeah no in the crowd just like a sheep yeah not the one going against the green i know it's like

1:03:39Jackie Oshry:i can't always be this like individual creative i can't always be as someone who's a maverick

1:03:44Claudia Oshry:i don't also want to be special sometimes i just want to be like a group thinker you know and that's about how we ended up in the conspiracy theory palette honestly yeah yeah i don't want to say i want to be a group thing right just like i just want to be like a regular girl it's true i just

1:04:00Jackie Oshry:want to be like poking holes i'm glad to know that you guys are lawyering with yourselves too yeah we are like i am in court yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah and i think a lot of people do that in the shower so the fact that he's doing it in the shower like actually feels appropriate oh right back to you sorry sorry to make it about us sorry dear toaster um i didn't want to do anything like she also said like things have been like contentious with family members and they've been having like a lot of uncomfortable he's yeah and you know what maybe he's slaying those arguments

1:04:27Claudia Oshry:because of the work he's putting in the shower yeah and i would just check in like and i would mention it like you know i've heard you talking to yourself i just want to make sure like everything's okay you're welcome to talk to me but like process how you need to process no judgment this is a judgment-free zone 100 i think it's fine i think it's fine too yeah

1:04:43Jackie Oshry:that's your toaster's our weekly advice segment and that's our show thank you so much listening Love you. Love ya. Bye.
