Brazil's class of 2002 was filled with scintillating shaggers and absolute wrong-uns. From fake lottery scams to 15-year-old fiancés, meet the World Cup's wildest winners. Welcome back to The Upshot. My name is Jack. And I'm Zach. Right, we are kicking off a series on the World Cup's most scandalous teams. and this is going to be hard to match, this first one. It's Brazil 02. I think it's one of the most scandalous teams in World Cup history. You've got Ronaldo, Ronaldinho.

10There's a gun-toting midfielder who scammed the national lottery. There's a lot of biggies. Yeah. So we've got an 11 we're going to name. We're going to take turns naming players. If I had to be a little bit flexible with the formation, we're going to rate each player out of 10 for their scandal score. And at the end, we'll come up with a score for the whole team. And hopefully we're going to do a few more of these. so we can start to rank the World Cup's maddest teams of all time. All right, so I'm going to kick things off with a biggie. It is Ronaldo. Where else to start? The OG Ronaldo, this is.

42Ronaldo Nazario, the undisputed star of the show in 2002. Eight goals he scored, won the golden boot. And, you know, I feel like alongside Maradona and Ronaldinho, who's also in this team, he's probably the player who most combined unreal talent with being an absolute party animal off the pitch. And to be fair, he'd learned from the best. So back at the 97 Copa America, his teammate Romario, who was sort of the more established, older head, the old striker, had snuck Ronaldo out of their team hotel. He'd arranged it. He'd got a ladder over the wall of their hotel and there was a taxi waiting for them, took him out on the town up till 5 a.m.

24And the following morning, Ronaldo was feeling pretty worse for wear and training. And he said he realized that Romario had basically dragged him out and set him up to be on awful form the next day so he could take his place in the team. That's rivalry. Romario doesn't drink as well. He's just a big shagger. Okay. Slightly sinister. I think it is, really. As a combo. Yeah. So he was probably just sipping, you know, just going to the bar and getting... He was on the fizzy water. Yeah. Yeah. He knew what he was doing and it sounded like it worked, actually. so later in that tournament 97 copper america a reporter an english journalist reported seeing ronaldo mid-tournament out of this nightclub in la paz in bolivia who were hosting the tournament he saw him in in this journalist's words being flattened by gorgeous bolivian ladies of all sizes and shapes flattened flattened yeah that sounds like the rikishi special move is being performed.

22I can't quite picture Harry Kane doing the same in the States, in Kansas during this World Cup. So is this just a bit of preparation for the start of the tournament? This was mid tournament. I thought it was like acclimatization because La Paz is at altitude. I mean, maybe that's it. Maybe that was it. Yeah. Yeah. Um, anyway, 2002, Ronaldo rocks up with his infamous haircut. One of the, one of the strangest Barnets I've ever seen. Ronaldo said that he got it to distract from his injury problems, which he'd had a lot of in the buildup to this tournament. it did spawn a few copycats that haircut not all of them intentional there's a great video online of this kid who goes to his dad and says he wants the Ronaldo haircut meaning Cristiano you know just a nice little lot of hair wax bit of a flick and comes out of the barbers sporting one of these sporting whatever the hell this is whatever the hell that is it's so bad yeah I feel like it was a real trend of like yeah like we're looking at a headline now a mum who took her took her son to the bar but left him unaccompanied and he came out with it so this was just the barber was actually pranking him not even his own dad and I'll say it looks better on a Brazilian Ballon d 'Or winner than a 14 year old English school boy it's the way that one's code forward as well anyway whatever he had on the top of his head it worked for Ronaldo because he led Brazil to glory in 2002 but he did still have time for scandal mid tournament when he snuck out and went partying in Tokyo and ended up getting a Brazilian woman there pregnant.

55So it caused a big lawsuit over the following years. I think he sort of denied that it was his, but eventually he was made to take a paternity test and was proved to be the father. So his shagging coincides with his best tournaments where he's just banging them in. I mean, if there are any young strikers watching, on how to make it to the elite level. Prepare like a pro. Get flattened in La Paz. Get a fan pregnant in Tokyo. Yeah. Learn a lot from that. Yeah, you can. I don't know. It did eventually catch up with Ronaldo, really. But that was not his last controversial tryst. Because in 2008, Ronaldo was out on a night out in Rio at this nightclub.

43And on his way home, he decides to pick up three escorts. three and again prepare like a pro he always posts posts impressive numbers ronardo doesn't he um anyway takes them back to this motel and as things began to get steamy in this motel room he discovered that all three were in fact men uh which was a bit of a surprise to him and it didn't go down too well so according to the press after an altercation the police were called say no more on that one say no more yeah an obligation you can imagine the rest but anyway after all that glory posting numbers like that Ronaldo you can probably forgive him for lapsing a little bit from his rigorous training regime after retirement have you seen the video of him coming out of a lift adorned with him at his absolute pomp we'll have a look at that now that's fine looking pretty unrecognisable but it's like stars in their eyes.

45Tonight, Matthew, I'm going to look unrecognizable. Right, obviously he's a shoo-in to the team then. I mean, for me, Ronaldo, is he a 10 out of 10? I don't think so. And so I'll score yours, you score mine. I think that's the fair way to do it. I think if you take Maradona as the benchmark of a 10, so you've got to be doing like, it's got to be like shagging, cocaine, hanging out with drug lords, banned from tournaments, violence. so I think Ronaldo's ticking the party animal shagger box and to be fair sounds like he may have had some criminal brushes when the police turned up I think he's like a nine is he an eight and a half eight and a half Maradona's a ten okay George Best is like a nine and a half I think I'm going eight and a half do you feel that's harsh?

34I was going to go for nine but well I'm scoring so okay fuck off so he's up front he's on stride just wait till Adilson gets fucking three out of ten funny you mention Adilson because he is up next he's not the biggest name in the squad he spent most of his career in Brazil but he does have a rep as an amazing prankster so Adilson was playing for this side Vitoria in Brazil a while back and one day their training ground got robbed by armed robbers gunmen wow that sounds pretty pretty terrifying yeah it's actually really scary in Brazil as well I reckon there's some pretty bad dudes doing that.

11Yeah. Well, as you can imagine, the next day, everyone's still quite shaken up. I've been held at gunpoint. So it probably wasn't the time for Adilson to prank them by speeding into the training ground in his car, waving a gun out the window. And he fired four shots in the air. Apparently his teammates, so his teammates were terrified. Some of them legged it into a forest. The club president hid in the kitchen. Just absolutely terrifying. I'm terrified, I bet. I'm not surprised. Yeah, if you've got PTSD, I can't imagine that. Yeah. Most welcome gag. Yeah. So, bit of a nutter. He's cruising around with a gun.

48And that's not his only item on the rap sheet. Because, you know, you'd think winning the World Cup with Brazil, he was in this 2002 squad, you'd think that would set you up for life. So it was a bit of a surprise in 2015 when Adilson was caught cashing in fake lottery tickets worth massive amounts. Where's he getting these lottery tickets from? I think basically you see the lottery result and then you quickly knock up a ticket with five numbers. Okay. Feels like quite a big flaw in the old... Yeah. Maybe they're more like scratch cards. Or they're like scratch cards. Yeah. I did prank my sister one time with a fake scratch card.

23And that went down well or badly, depending on who you are in the... How long did she believe? Quite a long time. She thought she'd won like, what, half a meal? I think it was£250 ,000 on Christmas Day. How long did she believe it for? I think I kept strung her along for probably 10 minutes 15 minutes let's say I got to the point when she was she was like I mean I was looking at this houseboat online and like now maybe I can she can finally afford it and I was like check the check the small print on that absolute stitch was she like with her tears there were no tears she actually took it fairly well but it was in front of all my family and they'd all fallen for it as well Christmas Day Christmas Day what'd you get you know what'd you get the girl who has everything nothing alright well Adilson wasn't pranking his sister he was actually defrauding banks so he'd been recruited by this criminal gang who were trying to defraud unsuspecting bank managers and because he had a famous face they thought he's perfect to gain trust I can see that so I think the idea is he goes into a bank and borrows money he's like I'm Adilson you remember me I won the World Cup I have a gun.

39I sometimes fire it at my teammates. Can I borrow 200 ,000 reals? But then also he would say, look, I've just won on a scratch card. I'm good for the money. Yeah. I think bank manager's got to be a bit more diligent than... I mean, he ended up in jail for this, didn't he? Yeah, he did. I don't think you should be able to use a recently unscratched scratch card as collateral on a loan, to be honest. But I think he did, it worked for a bit. And then he was apprehended by the authorities. So I was going to say criminal genius. Maybe not. Yeah, bumbling criminal, I think. Yeah, he just like shoots from the hip.

18He's got that spontaneity. I like it. I like it. In a Brazilian strike. I like him. So he's going up front with Ronaldo. He's going up front with Ronaldo. I'm going to give El Dilsson a seven. Yeah, okay. Seven. Yeah, he did fire a gun at his teammates. Fire a gun at his teammates and he went to jail for fraud. It's decent. Quite a colourful fraud. Yeah, quite a fun one. Actually, Adilson's teammates could have got really hurt when he came in with a gun. Yeah, I mean, if you fled into the jungle and perhaps tripped over a log or something, then that could cause you harm. Could have got eaten by an animal.

47I presume there's quite dangerous animals. Is this the Amazon? Maybe not. Where's Brazil? Brazil, the jungle. Yeah, jaguars or something like that. Yeah, you could have hurt yourself. Or you could have got shot. Could have done, yeah. He was firing a gun in the air. So in all those cases, his teammates could have sued Adilson. Probably should sue, actually. Yeah, and he's probably got their cash. She's got the medals. Yeah. And I've got just the lawyers for them. Injury lawyers for you. If you've had an accident that was not your fault, say your teammate shot at you, and you tripped over a log, or got a splinter on it, then they will fight for you.

20And it's no win, no fee. So you don't have to go off of anything. It's a no-brainer. Take his medals. Yeah. Actually, while we're talking crimes, I've got another one for you. Cleverson. He had a little bit of a spell at Man United later in his career, But it was the 2002 World Cup where he really burst onto the scene. Quite a starring role at that tournament. And afterwards, European sides were jostling for his signature. But the then 22-year-old midfielder decided he would stay another year in Brazil so he could marry his 15-year-old fiancée when she became legally allowed to marry. In Europe?

00In Europe. Because the Brazilian age of consent is a bit lower. It is. yeah Brazil's quite quite a liberal place when it comes to that yeah good or bad um they met when she was 14 apparently he's I think when they met he was yeah about 20 21 imagine being a 14 year old and your your mate just as a 21 year old world cup winning yeah yeah um okay he did have braces he had braces pick of them together but did he just get the braces to fit in with our mates yeah it's like a what up fellow kids thing just walking around with a skate skateboard didn't you win the world cup mate aren't you going to man united next season shouldn't you be there now but you're staying because you're a nonce so he basically did a gap year in football because he's a nonce exactly in european terms in european terms european south american just woke up yeah

00um but yeah anyway he was he was a bit of a star at that world cup great player great always liked him lots of teams were circling around him Leeds and Man United came in for him and Leeds at that point were really good and they'd got to the Champions League semifinals recently and he decided he wanted he fancied Leeds and then broke it to his Brazil teammate Ronaldinho who's like oh no I don't go to Leeds I'm going to Man United as well you come we'll go together so Cleberson was like alright yeah I'll go to go to Man United Ronaldinho then signed for Barca so but it did nearly happen it did nearly happen what might have been do you think it was that or do you like because Leeds okay they're in a Champions League semi but they weren't it's Man United Jimmy Savile's hometown though isn't it

52just love their history it's just

57it's just the people it's like the passion for my passion yeah alright well he's definitely in the squad wrong and wrong and rating well where are you playing him I think we'll stick him defensive mid ok because I think he was a right side midfielder but we've just got to make space we've got a lot of attackers in this team yeah ok now comes the thorny task we haven't given him a number yeah the thorny task of rating his scandal score I mean it depends in which jurisdiction you know operating I'm going to apply European rules I think yeah this is a really hard one yeah because it's like well Maradona's 10 but Maradona's like fun stuff like what's you know nonce yeah but then if I put it as a 9 it's like 10 10 10 he's getting a 10 he's a European not a full 10 yeah I mean it's probably 11 if Maradona's 10 very tricky to do that one was Adilson seven yeah Adilson was seven right next next I've got a big old shagger of a more legitimate kind it is the legendary left back Roberto Carlos who I'd say he's nearly as famous for his womanizing as he is for his physics defying free kicks Roberto Carlos has fathered 11 children with 7 different women wow got a pic of him with all of them now I think so but that's more than seven I think those could be although the guy on the right the guy on the right cannot be Roberto Carlos' son if he is he had him very young must have been dating Cleverson at the time god your oldest looks terrible to be real if you've got 11 kids there is going to be a big age gap I think what makes look there are footballers with more children but seven different mothers yeah That shows an absolutely reckless lack of loyalty.

03Yeah, it's hard to keep track of. He's got a football team, which is nice. True, yeah. He does, in recent years, he has developed something of a noncee beard, I would say. Something of the Cleverson about his beard. It's a bit Gary Glitter. Yeah. You know what I mean? I know what you mean. It's the sort of like... It's basically a goatee. But I think the goatee on a young footballer, yeah, but on an older man, it looks a bit, yeah. Yeah. A bit Operation U-Tree. this is gonna next to what we've had before this is gonna sound pretty minor but I do think for a footballer he loves a crafty sig doesn't he he does there's that great picture of Ronaldo and Roberto Carlos at the half time of a charity match yeah where they're both smoking in the dressing room yeah they're dialing it in by this stage aren't they yeah it makes me love them so much more they just they just like to have a good time yeah yeah yeah scandal score scandal score I think low low for this 2.5 oh fucking hell okay what's Gary Lineker Gary Lineker Gary Lineker's like he won yeah I guess he okay Roberto Carlos maybe he's got a bit of he must have been a very unfaithful husband what the scandal is true yeah unfaithful husband noncy beard smoked in the dressing smoked in the dressing we're not putting that in scandal category I'll give him I'll give him a 3 yeah fair enough if your business runs on 5 different apps 12 browser tabs, and one spreadsheet that everyone's afraid to touch, it's probably time for Odoo.

44vaguely vaguely remember the name maybe turns out the name is actually like it's one of those Brazilian nicknames but it's a fusion of the word for vampire and the word for devil which is Capeta so apparently it's because his childhood friends thought he was ugly and toothless both but apart from that they loved him yeah luckily it was a great conversation yeah I mean vampires famously have teeth have teeth yeah anyway nickname aside that's not why he's in just a bit of trivia um a great moment this man delivered actually before the 2002 World Cup in 1999 after eight caipirinhas in a nightclub he agreed to do a nude photo shoot for a gay magazine which was quite a big deal at the time it was the first footballer to appear in a gay magazine in Brazil so he's smashing taboos yeah you know good on him if only that was the only taboo he smashed with this shoot because it was also the first Brazilian magazine shoot to depict an erection and not just one erection let me tell you we got the pics here so it starts off quite sort of tasteful he's like topless oiled up looking good here we go getting a bit more naked bit of bum nice bum and he's penetrating a gold net and then that one he's poking his boner out of the water in a swimming pool okay I don't know we're obviously not showing these on screen yeah oh that's just a close up of the boner just loads of boners yeah it doesn't need to be hard I don't think no for the yeah I think for me that was the the bit that he might not have done was that did he agree to that in the bar as well or was that just sort of later saw it through turned up the next day and did the shoe and got the boner I just don't think the erection was strictly necessary I'm not sure the photographer even asked for it just had it couldn't help himself he actually recreated the shot last year oh dear so he's now in his what 50s late 50s he's gone a bit of the Ronaldo route Yeah.

41And I don't mean Cristiano. Yeah. Fortunately, no erection in this picture. It's been cut off at waist level. So he also played with Ronaldo into Milan. Okay. And Ronaldo said once, he said, he stayed at my house while I was away in Brazil. I had a wine cellar with a hundred bottles and Van Petter drank them all in two weeks. He found one that was special. It was a 1976 bottle I bought at a restaurant in Paris for 10 grand. He and his friends opened the bottle and each took a plastic cup. he said it was hot and put ice in it love it love Van Patten that's great and the good news for this team is he is a holding midfielder which we were in dire need of he could partner Cleverson yeah what are you giving him on the old score I'm a big fan of this guy I think he's broken taboos in society in a way in a way that Cleverson has sort of got a taboo busting taboo busting central midfield pairing yeah he's definitely much less of a Rogan than Cleberson I wouldn't have him to stay in my house and for that reason he's getting a 4.5 yeah okay I agree with that I give him a 4.5 I mean if it wasn't for the erection it'd be like zero but yeah the erection was probably unnecessary I think it was an important moment it was in progress in Brazilian society yeah I think he had to do it okay we haven't talked about keepers yet and I would like to put forward AC Milan goalkeeper Dida oh yeah big name he's a big name although he was actually only on the bench for Brazil during this tournament partly because he spent the previous year banned from football after entering Italy on a fake Portuguese passport which you know he might have got away with if he wasn't one of the most recognisable Brazilians on the planet and in Italy was he arrested in Italy?

27he was arrested trying to enter Italy you're the AC Milan goalkeeper I know where you're from yeah but I mean quite a few Brazilians got caught out doing this around the same time Edu remember him who played for Arsenal yeah actually in this 2002 squad as well he was arrested at Heathrow with a fake Portuguese passport right at the same time why are they so at this time some European leagues only allowed a certain number of non-EU players so they were basically the reason is dull alright so he goes in the nets because we need a keeper yeah I'm gonna give him a two it's not a big scandal nah two it is alright Right, before we get on to Ronaldinho's incredible rap sheet, we do also need a right back.

12And I've decided it's Cafu who, yeah, you're right to look confused. He's the captain. Yeah. And he did, unlike most of his teammates, have a pretty squeaky clean reputation. That was until police, Zach, accused him of flogging properties to one of Sao Paulo's most notorious criminal gangs. Oh, horrific. That is. Lock him up. 11 out of 10, probably. I should say he denied the allegations and was never charged a criminal bought his house I think multiple properties although nothing sullied his good name like his unhealthy obsession with former Liverpool right back John Flanagan remember him? yeah just about, played once for England I think he had like a breakthrough season at which point Cafu anointed him my natural successor and he tipped him to achieve as many trophies as I did.

04Yeah. Jumped the gun a little bit there. Yeah, it didn't quite work out. I think John Flanagan retired at 29 after a stint in Denmark. Yeah. Yeah. So, look. We needed a right back. We needed a right back. I know it's weak. I'm going to give Cafu a It's a 1 out of 10 for me. Yeah. It's almost a 0. Yeah. He made a bad prediction and sold the house. I think 1's actually harsh. Okay. You've had Cafu, who is a good boy as well, but this next one falls into the very same category and that is Kaka who was actually only 18 when he made the squad for the 2002 World Cup and didn't play a lot came on once as a sub uh to be fair he didn't really fit in with some of the more bad boy elements of the squad Kaka like we said he's very much part of the god squad yeah uh element of the the Brazil team Pato you remember him the the other Brazilian striker tells this story of breaking into the ac milan team when he's about 18 he said in the dressing room i was sat between maldini and ronaldo who asked me if i wanted to be part of his clan showing me a copy of playboy or if i wanted to be part of caca's clan who had a few church things in the dressing room some church shit i'm just imagining caca opening up his locker and it's a portrait of the virgin mary and some rosary beads holy water sprinkling holy water around the dressing room again the two types of brazilian literally the dressing room is divided between exactly yeah i quite like that ronaldo has gone the 14 year old boy route of being like do you want to be in my gang i've got playboys yeah i mean it's fair to say that pato was enticed by by that route and actually things got went from bad to worse the next year when ronaldinho joined ac milan and sort of picked up the mantle from ronaldo and was dragging pato out partying every night in milan To the point where Pato's wife ends up divorcing him because of his constant party.

57So she wanted church stuff in his life. Probably a bit more church stuff. Wouldn't have gone amiss with old Pato. Although things didn't exactly work out perfectly for Kaka because his wife ended up divorcing him for being too nice. So this is a quote from Kaka's wife. Kaka never betrayed me. He treated me well. He gave me a wonderful family, but I was not happy. Something was missing. The problem was he was too perfect for me. Ah, too nice. Too nice. Do you want a bad boy? She wished she'd been with Pato. She'd have swapped. Yeah, I mean, Pato ended up going out with Barbara Berlusconi, Silvia's daughter.

36Yeah, he went for more of a wild vibe. Yeah. Okay, so the charge is you're too nice and you were the Bible basher in the squad. Yeah. How do I score that? Is it another Cafu? Scandal. There's not a lot of scandal, is there? I kind of think it's still a bit more than Caffey making a dodgy prediction. So I'm going to go one and a half. One and a half. Can you pull that down? Yeah. Yeah. Don't be married to him. That's why. No. Yeah. Be married to him. Don't be married to him or Clebson. I'm pretty sure Clebson and his teenage girlfriend are actually still together. And now the age gap's not that weird.

10It's like seven years. But yeah. You know, that was all a long time ago. It's what Nazi war criminals say. Right. It's time for the big man. possibly my favourite player ever I think he's yours as well I think so Ronaldinho just a joy to watch and an absolute party animal off the pitch during his career he once had a nightclub clause in his contract permitting him to go out twice a week club can't do anything about it get it written in yeah and they can't argue with it I remember when he was at AC Milan the fans used to come up to him in nightclub dance halls and be like please go home we've got a game tomorrow please take Pato with you actually take Kafka as well because he's fucking boring

57right the Ronaldinho rap sheet is long firstly he was yet another Brazilian caught up in the business of fraudulent documents this one actually a bit more fruity so he got banged up in 2020 during COVID after crossing into Paraguay with a fake Paraguayan passport again Ronaldinho I would say I mean Dida can maybe get away with it but Ronaldinho is up there with the most recognisable Brazilians ever. Yeah. He's so distinctive looking and he's so famous and good. I'm trying to get into Paraguay with a Paraguay. That's not telling you. Paraguayans know that Ronaldinho is not Paraguay. Yeah. Well, they found out and he got five months behind bars in Paraguay.

38When he was released, he said, I will never come back to Paraguay. Probably wise. It did actually sound like quite a cushy experience in jail though. So the guards organized these wildly popular Ronaldinho tours where you could just come and like greet him at the prison gate. Yeah. Sounds lovely. It's a bit like a zoo. Yeah. It's a bit like when they like first brought leopards to Europe. But also in this prison, they threw a five-a-side tournament where he captained his team to a famous win against a side containing a disgraced politician. Yeah. I would say getting first pick in that five-a-side tournament was important.

16It's him or a 65-year-old, like, minister. Fraudulent minister. Yeah, you'd be right. So he had a hand in every goal in the final. They won 11-2. And they won a 16-kilo suckling pick. What kind of prison is this? Sounds great. Sounds like butt-libs. Yeah. I don't know. I guess maybe it's a sort of low-security one. Just a good vibes one. They actually had a big barbecue party when he left as well. great yeah why not you know what I think I might stay actually well actually no he had to get out because he had he had some business to attend to so before he'd gone into jail Rolandinho had married two women at the same time one of his friends had described him as adept at polygamy man of many talents so apparently he and these two wives lived harmoniously in separate rooms in his Rio mansion he's just bouncing between them yeah so he got sounds complicated very he got them the same presents he got them matching perfume and engagement rings did they propose at the same time?

18yeah I think he got down on two knees yeah anyway sadly this sultan like existence came crashing down after he got out of jail when his two wives caught him with a third woman third woman yeah that's greedy that's yeah Ronaldinho come on yeah be happy so there's there's the rap sheet I mean he's a a very happy guy. He never looks disappointed with anything. Yeah. I mean, I feel like he lives life like he plays football, just very much with like spontaneous joy and no thought about any kind of consequences. Yeah. Which is a lot of fun. Can get you jailed for five months. Can get you jailed for five months or divorced by both of your wives at the same time.

00But... All right. What score are you giving him? I am going to give Ronaldinho a 7.5. Okay. Less than Ronaldo because you love him. Because I love him and I think he's a pure soul. Yeah. Okay. Fair enough. I'll buy that. Right. We still need a centre-back. We do need a centre-back. That's the last position we've got. And I had to dig a bit deep in the squad for this one. But I found Mr. Anderson Polgar. Of course. The great Polgar. The great Polgar. Who could forget? Did he even play in the World Cup? I think he did. He is a centre-back. And he... So he played a few years in Portugal and eventually moved back to Brazil.

38and his wife naturally said, you know, I'll come with you. We are husband and wife. And she said to the press, this is happening. But Anderson went ahead. While he was back in Brazil, he ended up having to go to a funeral. And at that funeral, he was arrested for unpaid child support for his mistress back in Brazil. So that was the first that his wife had heard from it, heard about it. And on hearing that news, she decided that actually, I think she might stick about in Portugal it was actually the second time that he'd been arrested for that same offence though first time was whilst playing seven-a-side football why do they always pick like quite public is that the idea to sort of yeah humiliate alright so he's a dirty dog cheated on his wife probably more than once but is that not par for the course for a great Brazilian it's better for a striker than a defender I'm going to give him as he was arrested at a funeral I'm going to give him a five a five because that's quite a scandalous thing to happen yeah in front of your aunts and uncles.

39All right, I've added up the average and the average, I've got to say, is insultingly low for this Brazil team. There's a lot of dead weight. Kaka, Cafu are bringing the side down. But I think this team is up there with the most scandalous World Cup teams ever. You've got Ronaldo, you've got Ronaldinho. Cleveson. Cleveson. And for that reason, I am going to give Brazil 2002 overall a 7.5 scandal rating. Do you think any other team can beat it? We're going to find out because we're going to be talking about France 2010, England 2006, and many more. Actually, if anyone's got any other teams that we should look at, then let us know in the comments.
