In short
The episode is a comedic World Cup preview and sports-gossip roundup, anchored by a claim that England manager Thomas Tuchel chose England’s Kansas City training base near a notorious “dogging” hotspot (Swope Park/Swope Park area near the Thomas H. Swope Memorial). Hosts joke that players could be “dogging” while training, and speculate about Tuchel’s decision-making (including why Cole Palmer wasn’t selected, framed as personality/prudishness vs. fear of dogging). They also discuss England fans’ Mexican-wave “wanker sign,” U.S. chants, FIFA fan conduct rules, and World Cup logistics (Curacao’s party bus, Scotland’s late kickoffs and pub hours).
Guests
Jack, Zach, JP (co-hosts); plus referenced real-world figures Ben Stokes, Lawrence Delaglio, Rio Ferdinand, Mark Bosnich, and others. Notable examples include Stokes’ nightclub fight and Delaglio’s past scandal/bankruptcy.

No more Mr. Nice Guy. This is Winner Take All. The NBA Finals continue on ABC and the ESPN app. Welcome back to the Upshot sponsored by Injury Lawyers. For you on the show today, has Thomas Tuchel been dogging in Kansas City? The saucy secret behind Ben Stokes' nightclub scrap. And Lawrence Delaglio is back on the naughty step. Hello, I'm Jack. Hello, Zach. Hi, Jack. Look, who's back? It's JP. Hello, Puppets. Fresh from the wedding.
1:35I am. Congratulations. Thank you very much. Got your ring on? Got my ring. Someone put a ring on it. Very happy about that. Broken a million JP to fall hearts. I know. There's already some hate mail going through to Jade. Some bullets in the post this morning. Yeah, we were there. A few people thought we hadn't been invited after last week, but we were there. And I learned a mental fact that I don't think anyone's going to believe that JP, you are cousins with Marcel Desailly. I know that is quite hard to believe. I did always think there was a bit of a resemblance actually. Yeah. There was a lot of sports gossip that was being told throughout the wedding, but this one really made Jack and I stand in our tracks because it was like, what the fuck?
2:15Yeah. So how? I mean, the resemblance is uncanny. Right. Bear with me on this, right? so my cousin's dad and Marcel Desailly's dad are first cousins they only found that out about two months ago so my cousin is second cousins with Marcel Desailly and I don't really know the ins and outs of how all this works but I think that makes me third cousin with Marcel Desailly or like a removed thing yeah this is amazing so do you have any claim to the World Cup then? I'm not sure but I've reached out to Marcel just because I presume he really wants to hang out with me now let's get him on who do you think you are with you you and Marcel Desailly he's definitely ringing the police if I get in contact isn't he pretty sure you're not my cousin mate yeah yeah I think that was my highlight of the wedding yeah that and the fact that at the end of the entire wedding weekend as JP slipped into his marital bed it was just him his new wife Jade and Zach in bed with them just just came back to yours for a little afters hi guys just kidding I didn't read the signals just turned up in my room with a cocktail Zach I'm trying to like just get this sort of consummate consummate the whole thing yeah it's alright don't mind me can I help yeah
3:37alright wedding fever that's out all that wedding crap is out of the way and now you can focus on your responsibilities as a world cup podcaster because it's it's tomorrow isn't it my country needs me France
3:52Les Blues Bongiorno
3:58Fellas So you mixed Mixed loyalties now Yeah I don't know where to go Maybe I'll Maybe I'll bat for both sides It's a good time to come out As a France fan actually Yeah true Could be a tricky final yeah it's here you excited? you feeling it? I yeah to be honest I've been a bit surprised how like there hasn't been that much build up I feel I don't know if it's because Premier League ended so late in Champions League final but yeah I'm sure I'm sure once it all gets going well allow me to get you and all the shotters in the mood because I've got some news sorry that was a bit of a tab you excited?
4:42not really actually I've been maybe it was the timing of the Premier League season I'm feeling a bit low about the whole thing. Sorry, it's this Guardian Football Weekend. 20 minutes on the politics. Come on. Right, listen to this. Thomas Tuchel, right, picked England's training base as Kansas City in Missouri. It seemed a bit random at the time. None of England's games are there. It's fucking hot down there. And the hotel looks like a travel tavern. Not impressive. Wiz DeVos fan? Yeah, perhaps. I think it's actually because he's a fan of something else a little bit more on brand because it all makes sense.
5:17Now I know that England's training base is surrounded by a notorious dogging spot. Strategic, Tommy. I like it. Swope Park. So it's a 20 minute drive from their hotel, but it's where they're training. Their pitches are in this park and the surrounding park. Yeah, that's where it all goes down. So, you know, Tommy's lads are down there every day, training, recovering, and, you know, presumably nobbing strangers in a muddy bit of shrubbery. according to local dogging websites in the state of Missouri the restroom is hot and so is the area by the pool when it's not open saucy doggers park up next to a golf course and then apparently people meet at the Grecian style Thomas H.
5:59Swope Memorial which is a short walk from the football pitches where England train I looked it up it's the distance from the dogging hotspot and the goal mouth of the training pitch is shorter than a Jordan Pickford goal kick that's how close he's gone. Isn't it quite popular with Latinos as well? Is it? Latinos and married men. Yeah, I had a look on gaycruising.com. All right, yeah. Well, you've got to make use of your membership. Bought that for the World Cup, now you're not going to use it. Oh, specifically married men and Latinos? Yeah, yeah. Does each dogging spot have like a sort of like a porn category niche?
6:33Yeah, I guess you've got your most popular. This is most popular with married men and Latinos. Perfect. That's where I'd be. Is this so, so when you hear players being like, yeah, Thomas Stugger, who was always, even before he arrived at training, he was out on the pitch. He was the first one there. He was the last one to leave. He's always staying around for extra training. He's just on his own. Waiting for everyone to leave. Tommy, you sure you're not coming back to those? I've got my car. It's in the car park by Memorial. It's bright for free kicks.
7:03Gerald Kwanzaa, do you mind sticking around? And it is Gerald Kwanzaa. Yeah. I think it all makes sense now. Also, I don't know if we, did we mention this before that Thomas Tuchel didn't take Cole Palmer to the World Cup because according to the Guardian he lacks the personality for a camp that could last seven weeks which I thought was the sort of you know it's like a parent planning a long car journey with a toddler can he do that long yeah is the iPad and a jam sandwich enough but now I'm wondering is it just because he thinks Cole's not he's not on board with what I've got planned he's a bit prudish Cole isn't he wasn't that because at the last World Cup they got the it was like it was in Germany and the hotel sauna was no clothes.
7:45That was the rule. Oh, really? And the England, the compulsory no clothes, just like German saunas. And the England players demanded that they change the hotel policy to make sure that swimwear was included. Yeah, which feels like Cole Palmer, he's the type of guy who'd push that. I don't think Cole Palmer wants to be sat next to Dean Henderson's scrotum going between the cracks of the sauna. Harry Maguire's pubic bush. but yeah maybe Cole was just fearful about the dogging and so Tommy was like he's not gonna get it although actually Cole Palmer was last pictured on Wayne Lineker's seedy Ibiza sofa so he can't be too much of a prude yeah you see him I got a photo sent over to me on whatsapp this week of Cole at Ocean Beach and the photo of him and Wayne is like them having a great time but this is apparently five minutes later no one around him he's got a glass of water It looks like when you bring your teenager on holiday.
8:44He's really miserable. It's just like, the adults are sat at the table having a good time and he's just sat there. There's no chippy chips on the menu. He's got a thousand yards there. He's looking quite skinny, isn't he? Yeah, he's quite skinny though, isn't he? Anyway, jury's out on whether all Tommy's pre-match knobbing in the park is working because the friendly against New Zealand was a bit of a drab affair. I mean, it was sort of not an international match. It was like a training game. They switched the sides halfway. You have to admire those England fans who sat in, you know, they paid$75 for a ticket.
9:18$75. Sat in the searing Florida heat. And then you can imagine their disappointment when they saw the drinks prices. Have you seen them? So a domestic lager beer is costing$16.75. Non-alcoholic is$10. Water,$7.50. It's an absolute. how happy are you that you cancelled the trip over there so you're not buying rounds well I mean I cancelled it for ethical reasons because I jet you know if I was there I'm getting an ultra premium double cocktail well that is setting you back 26.50 for what one drink sipping on that Malibu baby that's why we're not going yeah that is a show also I'm thinking that's a friendly it's going to be higher for the World Cup games big time so yeah probably why the England fans were in no mood for a Mexican wave see the video of them it came around to them and they just gave it the wanker sign I actually think I'm on board with that Mexican wave is a sign of a shit game of people who don't care I think they do it every game don't they they just give them a load of wankers yeah yeah it can be a lot of that but did people realise that that was what was going on because surely from a distance that still looks like just a wave yeah yeah maybe we ain't waving well traditionally we do the conga after that don't we let's all do the conga as sort of like a fuck off to the Mexican wave.
10:39It is depressing when you see a Mexican wave. Obviously, there's been a lot of chat of like, do Americans get it? Can they like hold this tournament properly? Do you see the scoreboard announcing the teams? The England team being announced. I read it out before the game. Jordan Pickford in goal. John Konza. Mark O 'Reilly. Harry. Which is a Brazilian name I've not seen yet. Marcus Stones. Jordan Gahey. Cobby. Morgan Anderson Ollie Kane Jed Bellingham which is my favourite and Jarrell Rashford who the fuck signed that off what shit version of Pro Evo am I playing
11:20just Harry yeah there will be a Brazilian footballer called Harry one day out of the region yeah yeah oh god that's good yeah I mean so England fans they're obviously giving the middle finger to the Mexican Wave but quite a different vibe from the USA fans. Have you seen their new chant? Because we support the US, the US, the US and that's the way we like it, we like it, we love it! Got it.
11:57They're not trolling, are they? No. This is why Europe thinks we're mid. We're mid-soccer country, right, Jack? Oh, yeah, we're mid. men follow follow me support the u.s the u.s the u.s that's the way we like it we like it we love it yeah it's bad and then the we love it is so bad we love it we love it i mean it's slightly better than the fight and win song yeah yeah it is it's slightly it's still to me it seems like they're just about to go off on like a father-son rafting excursion seeing kumbaya yeah yeah i still think fighting win is worse yeah they're moving in the right direction i believe that we will win we will win the uh the caption was us mnt has the best fans prove me wrong they've got to be trolling yeah i think that is a real job yeah um you know we might we might laugh at those fans, but at least they won't have any trouble with pesky FIFA minions inside the stadiums because we've seen FIFA's code of conduct that they've released for fans.
13:07It's been sent out to all the ticket holders. 94 point code, two and a half thousand words. This thing. No one's going to read that. No one's really. But you have. Skimmed it. As soon as I got it. So a lot of rules that fans have got to follow. It says they could be kicked out of stadiums for swearing or cheeky chants. Cheeky. Cheeky. So no Jared Bowen song then. Yeah. That was way too cheeky, JP. What's the line on cheekiness? We love it. We love it. Yeah. Yeah. I don't know if they've clarified whether chanting pedo at the ref is classed as, where does that fall on the sort of cheeky spectrum?
13:47Are they going to be, does that mean they're pulling people out for wanker signs? Surely not. I mean, yeah. And safety in numbers. If you're all doing it, you're fine. yeah yeah taking your shirt off frowned upon as well when you say frowned upon Scottish you're fucked then yeah I can't see them kicking people out for that so I saw an England man who was doing like a day of culture around maybe Florida and he he didn't wear a top at all yeah there are blokes who just I think in Florida you can get away with that yeah when you're out representing your country mate you don't have your top on exactly yeah you fucking tats out tattoo tattoos and body paint do not constitute clothing is what the guy says as well oh right that's a shame because you are going to go and just body paint won't you yeah body paint just with my little chest tattoo that says February yeah I'm going 66 strip but body painted on yeah a bit of a blow for Thomas Tuchel as well because his arseless chaps are probably not going to fly over there he'll get some use out of them on the training park oh yeah oh yeah they've banned Vivu's sailors as well good which that is that's fine they've actually rode back on the water bottles because that caused a bit of a stir don't know if we chatted about it last week would they FIFA initially said that you couldn't bring bottles of water in despite the fact it's going to be like 40 degrees and water's about$10 inside the stadium yeah didn't they say you could bring sun cream or water there was no sun cream either one or the other are they selling sun cream third degree burns or dehydration you choose I'm bringing the water I think yeah yeah load up sun cream's a scam everyone knows that so it's all sort of sort of kicking off the other teams have started arriving as well do you see the clip of Curacao turning up in a blue school bus no they're like you've got music pumping it's great they've got no windows
15:41that is unreal
15:46have they like brought that with them or have they found one painted it I don't know that is so good they came all the way from Kurosawa on that. I hope not. It's a long drive. It's got no windows as well. Yeah. It's like safari style. It looks a bit like it could be on a stag do. It's an absolute vibe. Party bus. They're about to get on one of those bikes. They're like round bikes. Yeah. Beer tap in the middle. Which I do actually really want to do. I think it looks class. I didn't realise that Kurosawa's national team was only founded in 2010. Absolutely mental. Crazy. They're moving fast. Yeah.
16:18Smallest country ever to qualify. 157 ,000 people. And the oldest manager, Dick Advocat, who's 78. Yeah. Is this too boring? This tournament, the oldest manager record is going to be set three times because there's two 74-year-olds who go before Advocat. Oh, wow. Really? Yeah. Is it too boring? I like your Guardian Football Weekly. They have got, their squad is like all Dutch players, isn't it? Yeah. Is it? A lot of Dutch players. Has Dick Advocat just come back in for the tournament? Yeah. Someone else, right? Well, he did them and he helped them qualify. Yeah. And then he resigned. I think his daughter was unwell and then his daughter was doing better.
16:56So he's come back, which is good. You're all right now. Good news all around. They're playing Germany in their first game, which is going to be a toughie. Never know. Scotland playing another one of the Minos, Haiti. Their manager has never been to Haiti. How's he managing the team then? They do their matches in Curacao, in fact. Oh, right. Just zoom in. Not very safe there, apparently. but it is going to be an absolute rager up in Scotland for that. Games kick you off at 2am on Saturday night, Sunday morning. Fuck. That's so good. And pubs are allowed to stay open until, I think it's half an hour after the game, so that's going to be until like 4.35am.
17:39Is that happening in England as well? As in for midnight games? I think it is, yeah. Only England games, I guess. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, but that is dangerous. Yeah. This is the country where the old firm derby is held in the morning so people can't get on it. But on a Saturday night, Sunday, they're going to be drinking from like midday on a Saturday. Yeah, and then they're going to... There's going to be a large number of people. I'd like to see some stats on how many people don't make it to the game. Big time. But, yeah. And then they've got a bank holiday on Monday. Yeah, how have they wanked on that?
18:13Which I'm sort of like... I think you'll probably need it, mate. Is that necessary? Well, they're going to be on it until like 6am, probably. A big Saturday night. Yeah, it's a big Saturday night. you've got a Sunday to recover do you need a bank holiday I feel like there's not going to be a lot of sleep in Scotland apparently the bank holiday is just basically a celebration of them qualifying but I think they've got another game that's also 2am that's midweek so they can't be doing it again they're not going to do another bank holiday why don't we get a bank holiday because we've qualified loads never get one actually speaking of celebrating things a little bit excessively there's you know there's always been this controversy over Uruguay and the fact that they've got four stars on their shirt so you get a star if you win the World Cup Uruguay they won it in 1930 the first World Cup and 1950 as well so fair enough 1930 we did a YouTube video recently about yeah that it's pretty village yeah you can count it if you want you can count it you can count it but they also then count the fact that they won the Olympic football tournament in 1924 and 1928, which was before the World Cup was started.
19:23Nah. Which, I mean, I've seen the Olympic football and that is not a proper tournament. To be fair, at the time, FIFA did oversee it. Still not having it. Still. So anyway, there's always been a bit of debate about that, whether they are sort of over-claiming their number of stars. But now Uruguay's former defender, a guy called Diego Lugano, has waded in to actually say the question is whether we have four or five stars because he also wants to count the mondialito that was held in 1980 uh it was a tournament they organized it to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first world cup and only former winners of the world cup were invited except for england because they were busy so they got the netherlands to stand in for them who have never won it they've never won it so there were six teams this one it's a friendly tournament essentially he's got good teams because they were the past winners but only six despite that Lugano describes it as perhaps the most important World Cup ever played what he's clutching it's not a World Cup he's saying they should get do they win it I guess they won it and he's saying they should get a star yeah which by that measure I think we should start counting le tournois yeah in the 90s when it came home when it came home apparently Shearer and Ian Wright when people say you never won an international tournament they're like what are you talking about we won Le Tournois Le Tournois famously they played very fucking well in that tournament that's when Roberto Carlos did the it was cool for anyone who isn't familiar it was a mini tournament it was like a warm up mini tournament before the 98 World Cup England, France, Italy and Brazil yeah decent team it came home it was good came home yeah Lugano I feel like he's just going to start having five stars in all his clothes and just count it you count it if you want mate I tell you what Lugano you can keep the Mundialito trophy maybe we should get a star on our podcast outfits for what for the British podcast awards we get a star on our mic put it on your email signature just stick it on a single star right now Thomas Tuchel might be persuading Jarrell Kwanzaa to creep a Corvette down to Swope Park.
21:46But it's a very different story in the England cricket team. The management are not happy about the players off-field antics in the nightclub. So the captain, Ben Stokes, he's been out on the piss and got into a scrap. I'm sure you've heard. He's always doing that. Doesn't do himself any favours, does he? Yeah, not the first time. We'll get onto that. So this was Sunday night. They beat New Zealand on the weekend, went out on Sunday night. and Ben Stokes as captain had introduced a midnight curfew following previous shenanigans during the Ashes but as it passed midnight the only people out in the club still were the bowler Gus Atkinson and captain Ben Stokes so Jeffy's going well I think this is the curfew's first outing as well they did have a security guard with them as well who has to stay out with the players kind of makes it better not setting a great example yeah I mean it turns out the security guard was needed because they got in a little row with this Saracens rugby player called Tota Alva who then swung to hit Atkinson, the bowler missed and smacked the security guard in the face Fuck Security guard needed stitches Poor guy doesn't even want to be there He thought he was going to be tucked up in bed by 12 days How happened to the curfew?
22:54Did the security guard go back for him or just leave it? Well, Tota Alva is 6 foot 5 and 275 pounds Yeah, fair enough That's 20 stone, isn't it? Fair enough so you're probably not even as a sort of you know a big big minder I'm probably leaving it I mean he's obviously not a very accurate puncher but I think he was hammered Ben Earle the England rugby player he was there as well because he plays for Saracens he didn't get in the fight and I've actually got an exclusive for you lads whoa this whole story is the talk of all the cricketing press I've got a video of Ben Stokes on the night because there's been a lot of discussion was he hammered someone sent us a video showing him I mean it's very quick it's very grainy but he's in the club and he's dancing his top's undone and he's throwing some shapes wow
23:49he's got his top done undone to about he's got the top sort of four or five buttons and he's throwing some shapes it looks like he's doing the backwards robot he looks like he's having a great time yeah I've been there before it's a very short video I've got to say I've got no issue with it with them being out on the piss hmm yeah it was after the last day of the test right when's the next test starting? next week but hasn't he like come out and said that he's clean yeah so he was saying that he'd given up booze having watched that video I would say I don't think he has my actual objection is to where they were going out because that club they were in was the polo in the park after party at Rex Room's nightclub in Chelsea on Kings Road sounds awful which Rex Room's four aficionados of god awful Chelsea hell holes is the rebranded name for 151 do you have a go no not for me mate more of a liquid red hill sort of fabric and liquid yeah yeah okay well I did a bit of time in 151 my youngies it stank her feet in there it was an absolute dive famously but it's rebranded now and apparently the fight was in the VIP section oof yeah so I'm all for England cricketers going out on the piss and getting into fights and stuff but can we not do it in such cringe yeah is that but it was Sunday night right is there not limited options Sunday night in Chelsea probably someone nicked the grey goose off the table or something didn't they I think if you walk into a nightclub and there are rugby players there leave yeah mainly because we will get beat up but yeah obviously not great for this to happen to this England team because Ben Stokes is the captain he's 36 which is maybe a bit old to be like in fights for 21 year olds but I don't think he did anything wrong and obviously he's had history he got prosecuted and dropped from the England team entirely when he was younger for punching someone in a Bristol nightclub yeah I guess it all just doesn't look great does it it was a big deal at the time and then earlier in this winter we had in the ashes the vice captain got lamped by a bouncer the night before a game and then the other player Ben Duckett was videoed just hammered between two matches bro we're literally trying to help you Do you want to go home or what?
26:02Do you want me to go and have security? I'll order a fucking Uber on your phone Yeah Yeah Because he will let us get back in But what I'm saying is do you want me to ask them to speak to your friends? Do you know what you're saying? Do you know how to get home? No That's what I'm saying Do you want me to get you an Uber to the Nets bro? It's probably for the best To the what? I don't know what that means For the Nets What does that mean? The thing is you're actually like
26:36it's probably for the best bro we're losing two nil like who are you i'm sam yeah no one knows who are you fight nice ben duckett yeah how many people know me oh god i know you brother don't look great i know you but listen you're not you're you're like do you want me to i'm literally no one i'm gonna let you know you want to blow off a bit of steam between matches but just I think it was because the whole thing was everyone was like this England team don't take training seriously enough and they're just down the piss but I think sportsmen should be allowed to fucking go this is good this is sort of what the England football team would have done in 2006 yeah which I'm there for as for what caused the fight I have got a theory because there is a sordid back story to the feud between Saracen's rugby club and the England cricket team in recent years so there is a long-standing bit of gossip I keep hearing and we got sent it quite a lot on the gossip hotline during our live shows that while one of the England cricket team was scoring 100 for England one of the Saracens rugby team was shagging the cricketer's wife in the shit pub in Wandsworth which again is a classic rugby player hotspot Is that the one by the river?
27:54Yeah Oh dear Actually while we're talking disgraced England captain captains, Lawrence Delaglio. He's had his fair share of scandal down the years, forced to give up the captaincy famously in 99 after accidentally telling an undercover journalist about his penchant for cocaine, sex workers and orgies with his teammates, which was a bit of, it was a honey trap that one really. He got absolutely done. The News of the World sent this quite young, attractive reporter who posed as a sponsor, got Lawrence really drunk and took him back to to the hotel room where they were just talking and he started boasting about all this stuff.
28:32Told her that he used to deal coke and would drive around with five or six ounces in his car. What the fuck? That's a big, big time. He also said that he'd sprinkle coke on his knob before sex and asked if he could snort it off her body. I love the thought of her ringing the like news desk and they're like, so do you think he bought it? And she's like, I think he probably did. We've got a good in here. He's trying to snort it off my body She's got cocaine on his cock She did very well On your knob during sex Is that good for anyone? Does it dissolve into your knob? How does that work? Probably works for the woman You have to put it down the Probably works for the woman The hatch You have to put it down the hatch Oh god Probably yeah You would need to Under the You'd need to sprinkle it down the hatch Under the skin Does that get into the blood system?
29:19I don't think it works But I think it's a bit like Doing it in the bum It's probably quite good for the woman Yeah yeah depends how you define good but yeah well ask lozza yeah we can find out that was back in his playing that was back in his playing days he got absolutely done by that story unsurprisingly got stripped of the captaincy but did bounce back really had a very successful career after that sadly though lawrence had to file for bankruptcy in 2024 he's hundreds of thousands of pounds in debt from failed business ventures his divorce as well and normally bankruptcy it only lasts a year they'll sort of wipe it after that but poor old loz has just has had his extended again until august after high court documents revealed that he has made no attempt to pay back his debts didn't take it very seriously doesn't seem like it so apparently he spent everything he earned between August and January of last year, which was around£200 ,000, didn't set any aside to pay back his unpaid tax or to pay his agreed maintenance payments to his wife, his ex-wife.
30:31Despite all that, he was living what was described as a lavish lifestyle that allegedly included £1 ,000 a month on clothing and footwear,£500 a month on alcohol,£1 ,000 a month on travel, and£800 on groceries, which he's doing his shopping at Waitrose. Big time. He's got the Riverford box. Yeah, a big one. A grand a month on clothes. Grand a month on clothes. Yeah, that's quite a lot for Garms. £500 on alcohol. It's quite a lot when you're bankrupt. Mate, just go down a little, yeah. Yeah. Strikes me as a guy who's not getting the tube. He's getting cabs everywhere. Yeah, he's Uber Lux, isn't he?
31:09Yeah, yeah. That's what got him into that mess, actually. Yeah. Although, in Loz's defence, he has appeared to cut back on one thing that was costing him a lot and that is the brothel outings um because do you remember back in 2020 just it was just before we when we were going into lockdown this 300 pound an hour brothel in Hoban was raided also sold cocaine at this this place and they'd hidden all of the receipts from customers in the wall cavity of this toilet in the basement and police did find did find that and there was a 10 grand bill in there charged to Lawrence's card 10 grand 10 grand which if you're wondering 10 grand at 300 pounds an hour is 33 hours quite a long old time that really it's a working week almost yeah it's a lot although what do you think the proportion because that could be cocoa could be cocoa they offer both services yeah I'm going to go out on a limb and say it was a bit of both I'd say yeah he's going for both maybe a bit of booze in there as well could have been they sell clothes yeah it's a one stop shop why is a brothel that's dealing coke keeping receipts yeah don't I mean they were hidden surely burning surely cash only is it not like a bitcoin in cash file yeah because there was a really famous lap dancing club in Holborn because I used to work out there but I never went but there is yeah it's worked from there it's just actually office for the day work there WFB work from brothel
32:37great wifi just working for the knocking shop today I didn't think of Hoban as being that vibe I forget the name of it it's like the Greyhound or something but it's shut down now God rest his soul yeah Loz he's a naughty boy isn't he always hear really good stories about him one of the ones I can tell is the story that there was a house party and I think everyone there was sort of like early 20s and then suddenly Lawrence Delaglio turns up and I think he's already sort of retired by this point so he's in his late 30s turns up steaming and he's like absolutely going for it at this house party anyway night ends and they they wake up in the morning come downstairs to their sofa and they find Lawrence Delaglio is asleep on their sofa I think just in his boxes but in the middle of the night he's got cold and needed something to cover himself and he's gone to the wall and ripped their plasma screen TV off the wall and he's using it as a tube holding it on himself to try and keep warm if someone had a fucking photo of that it'd be unbelievable like cuddling it like a pillow Lawrence can we have the TV back please how battered have you got to be you got to be cold yeah he gets up to some sticky situations study and play come together on a Windows 11 PC And for a limited time, college students get the best of both worlds.

Yeah, you could have had a nasty accident without telling. which probably would have been his fault probably don't think you're making a claim against the house party owner for that sort of thing if you've had an accident sprinkling gear down the hatch of your club you could be entitled to compensation well if so I've got the guys for you injury lawyers for you the personal injury lawyers who fight for you and it's no win no fee which considering Loz's current outgoings might be wise not sure they'll take him on have you had an accident at the greyhound when you just popped in to buy some clothes I do remember there used to be a pint glass that went around and you had to put a pound in every five minutes oh I know what you're, I've actually been to one of those places they're strip pubs and there's like a two miles from like Farringdon to Hackney where they're like dotted along there strip pub what's the difference between a strip club and a strip pub it's a pub it does like proper pints and strippers like ales ciders no seriously and they go around with a pint glass and everyone has to put a quid in a quid in every five minutes stripper dancers well even if you're not actually even if they're not even dancing near you it's like a pay to play sort of thing okay yeah it's a really great vibe do you reckon it's still a quid nah is it like is it cd is it like it's pretty cd nah it's not cd at all I don't think it's brothel I thought it was a strip club but windows blacked out blacked out windows type oh yeah there's no daylight in there you can't really have people going past on the 28 bus and just looking up the window three o 'clock in the afternoon while you're bunking off work I do remember there were a lot of men in suits in there like just doing their lunchtime yeah it's quite finance bros okay yeah I only heard about it for a friend I get the feeling that Loz's Loz's establishment is a bit more hardcore yeah maybe it's like maybe there's a room proper brothel maybe there's a room in there yeah yeah Like Pasha Vice.
36:27We're going to get sued by the Greyhound. It's not actually called the Greyhound. I'll find out the name. I'll link in the comments. Yeah, that'll be tough. All right, well, if you've slipped up in a strip pub and had an accident that wasn't your fault, then injury lawyers for you, they'll probably get you out of that pickle. If you slipped, knocked the pint glass and broke it on your foot. JP's pelted you with power coins in the strip club. Yeah, so injury lawyers for you, the personal injury lawyers who fight for you. Details are in the description. Actually, speaking of accidents, poor old Mark Bosnich had a nasty one this week.
Read the full transcript
37:00So he's a pundit now. He's covering the World Cup for Australian TV. And they were doing this launch event where there was like a celeb penalty shootout. Bozzo was in goal. And he tried to save a penalty from the AFL chief, Gillen McLaughlin. Gillen McLaughlin. So that's the most Australian sounding name. Gillen McLaughlin. and it didn't go too well for old Bozza. Is he not in the best shape, is he? No.
37:34ACL's got... It's a good save. Save with the feet. They think he's joking.
37:44Yeah, he's got on a fair bit of timber, old Mark A. I thought it was Barry from EastEnders. If you've had an injury at work, yeah yeah yeah yeah that is an accident of work that is an accident of work mark ring injury lawyers for you yeah oh he looks like he's in a lot of pain bless him he does poor guy oh god out of the world cup is he I don't know hopefully he can recover so apparently he needs surgery on a ruptured quadricep whatever that is god you'd be absolutely gutted wouldn't he is that quadricep yeah your quads yeah poor fella not the only one not going to the world cup though Richarlison didn't make the squad for Brazil you know I think Richie was probably scratching his head about why he didn't make it was it was it the pigeon dance was it the weird Neymar tattoo that he got on his back or was it perhaps the time he two-footed Carlo Angelotti in training got a clip of it here
39:00you actually don't see him on camera but you just the noise of him arriving and then Ancelotti going down like a felled tree it was at that point Neymar's name got written down on the spot on it kind of helped his case in that well Neymar's got an injury now but I think he's I think he's still going yeah I feel like he's going to be trouble this world cup Neymar he's in the card tricks role right he's just vibes man I don't think he'll play now one man who definitely will be on the plane to LA is former England defender Rio Ferdinand and hopefully his hotel facilities are up to scratch now I say that because Rio has revealed this week that he avoids using the same toilet as his wife Kate in an effort to keep the romance alive in the bedroom Oh, right.
39:50Okay. At home, this is. Well, home and away for Rio. So he was speaking on the Therapy Crouch podcast this week, and the former Man U defender said, we go on holiday and, you know, we have a room. I know there's loads of people that have seen me walking around hotels in the middle of the night looking for a disabled toilet to go for number two because I refuse to do it in the same room. I've got a serious issue. What, he said middle of the night? he's wandering around the hotel in his pants looking for a toilet and it is because he doesn't want her to like smell his poo not because he's like oh I'm not using she's been on there I'm not using that yeah there's like a no poo rule so he thinks that he's going to put her off him yeah I mean what are his poos like well I don't know but it extends it extends a bit further than that as well so he said Kate has never farted in her life she doesn't even go for a number two if she farted in front of me I swear it could be over oh he's a six year old boy big time which we already knew does he yeah so what he so he think he think girls don't fart girls don't poo oh no no I can't even think about it it doesn't poo grow up mate I mean I would have sort of thought you know Rio's world cup wind ups bit of a prankster I thought he's sort of going for the Dutch oven yeah go on gate surely he's doing in your couch like Gary Lineker when they're rooming together yeah yeah I don't know how to break it to him, but not farting is like physically impossible.
41:17So I guess he's just living in denial. Yeah. Because like I can see at home, if you've got a big house and you want to just have different toilets, you can use different toilets. I wouldn't do it, but like, okay, but surely when you're going to stay in a hotel. Yeah. Aren't you a bit like this? No, I'm all right. I thought you were. No, I'm all right. Just wait till they're asleep and then lift the cheek. So it's like, outside of the bed. I'm way past that courtesy there's absolutely no courtesy in my house I do wonder if Rua Ferdinand is just trying to create an alibi for the fact he's been creeping around hotel corridors in the middle of the night have you seen me drunk with another woman it's because I'm asking her to point me to the nearest disabled loo I'm actually doing it for my marriage of course I'd say if you think of any like ex-footballer who would have that policy he is the sort yeah it's like a little boy yeah i reckon john terry definitely don't give a fuck about all right well obviously we're a lot less puerile than talking about you know farting and stuff like that so this next story this is a high-minded one bit more serious stuff towards the back end of the pod i was just thinking like after arsenal won the league we were kind of saying that the the fans were all a bit well behaved compared to the parisians it was all a bit good-natured but turns out not all of them were so well behaved because 48 hours after Arsenal lifted the trophy a fan in Malawi was arrested in an Arsenal shirt for having sex with a goat the old Gaurincha classic yeah this is this is according to Malawi Zodiac News which I looked into and it appears to be a trustworthy legit this felt too good to be true right I've got a picture of him here is this a photo of him and the goat or that's his that's his mugshot his name is Sandram the goat looks that's the goat's mugshot you're an accessory to the crime was that pre or post I would say pre looks quite chirpy it looks chirpy I was going to say so he's wearing an Arsenal shirt and his mugshot nice he's looking quite downbeat as he would be his name is Sandram Lyson and he's been jailed for three years plus hard labour really hard labour just for celebrating the title win yeah and also I'd say the wheels of justice have moved fast there like he did it two days after the title and he's already banged up and breaking rocks.
43:40Yeah. But to be fair, I would, in the justice system, prioritise goat fuckers. Yeah, you got them locked up quicker. Over what? Just like petty theft. Murderers. Do you know what I mean? And murderers. Yeah. Do you think our justice system is too light on goat fuckers? Yeah, I've been thinking for some time. We need to be tough on goat fucking and on the causes of goat fucking. It's a slippery slope. Hot goats. Yeah. Well, Sandram has gone into the reasons for it he pleaded guilty and he asked the court for leniency saying it was not intentional but he had uncontrollable sexual desires and decided to have intercourse with an animal that was nearby right it could have been any animal right could have just had a wank mate yeah you've been to Malawi Zach and there are a lot of goats there are a lot of goats about yeah yeah yeah I can imagine if you're in that situation the goats most likely to be around I was just saying it was 22 years since the last title yeah true yeah he's got a lot he's got a lot pent up it's easy for a Man City fan to look at that and be like disgraceful but they win it all the time yeah exactly yeah I'm sure there are a few goats back in 2012 what I like about I follow a Malawian news thing and they just name people and pictures straight away and it's just like someone is suspected of something and it's just like face name and shame it baby Maybe name and shame it.
45:05Where they live, face, man. I saw that. So he's suspected. I saw that and I was like, this has got to be a fake news story or something. But apparently the journalist's name on it is like a legit photojournalist in Malawi. Wow. He earned his corn this week. Wow. And we do like to be abreast of go-fucking on this part. Yeah, I feel like there's quite a lot of it. Well, Garintra episode, he obviously lost his virginity to a goat. We did Finn vs. History this week. Do give it a listen. Yeah. History of the World Cup. I think the first part we're on is out tomorrow. and I think we talked about the goat thing did we?
45:37yeah Gorincha came up and the guy who wrote Gorincha's biography I would say quite a horny journalist called Rui Castro he said 99 % of other youngsters outside the big cities in Brazil in the 1940s and 50s lost their virginities this way that is a very high percentage 99 % as in that's what you did it was like a rite of passage really they also in the book he said that they used they used to play a game where they would all just jizz into a river. It's like, kind of like poo sticks. Well, and then you had to chase it. Yeah, see who comes out the other side of the bridge first. There was obviously not that much to do.
46:14Like a rite of passage. Yeah. So there's your goat fucking. No, there's your goat fucking corner. Make it a regular on the podcast. What a nasty, nasty back end to this episode. We'll get rid of the hotline and just keep tabs on goat fucking. Go Tony, please. Actually, before we go, have you seen BBC, was it BBC, I think has done an adaptation of Dear England, the play about Gareth Southgate here in England. Have you seen the cast pictures of it? Because some of them, I mean, Gareth Southgate, what's his, Joseph Fiennes, the guy who plays Gareth Southgate, he looks quite easy. He looks a lot like Southgate.
46:52I feel like the prosthetics budget mainly went on Southgate. Right, just blew the boat. By the time they got down to Jack Grealish and Cole Popper, there was very little. It was like a T-Moo, T-Moo Jack Grealish. The Grealish one is like... I'd say Foden isn't too bad. Eric Dyer's all right. Tommy Tuchel. Tommy Tuchel. Look at... Rooney as well. That was that way. But look at Cole Palmer and Grealish. If you scroll down, we've got a close-up. Cole Palmer looks like... You know, sometimes you see shit football and look alike. That's all the Grealish. And look at Cole Palmer. To be fair, with the Cole Palmer one, they have kind of captured some of the...
47:31The haircut, maybe a little bit of the ears, but greelish. They've captured something about those characters, though. Yeah. That's just really fucking funny, though. Yeah, it's really good. All right, before we go, we are on Patreon opening a live chat for the World Cup where Patreon members can just chat to each other in real time, like a WhatsApp group. 24 hours a day, baby.
