Guests
No guests appear in the transcript; it’s hosted by Two Parents in a Podcast (Jules and Harrison).
Guest backgrounds
Not applicable (hosts only). Harrison recently returned from the World Cup in Dallas; Jules is a stay-at-home/parenting/pumping mother managing a toddler and infant.
Key claims
Cyclospora/cyclosporiasis is a produce-associated parasite with delayed symptoms (2–14 days), causing extreme diarrhea; Michigan is a major hotspot; some suspect lettuce (including Taco Bell removing lettuce temporarily). For 3 a.m. wake-ups, they argue for a consistent “rub back, return to crib” process unless the child is clearly awake. Baby Rocky’s “social smile” emerges around 2–3 months. Breast milk can help generate antibodies when the baby is exposed to illness.
Notable examples
Dallas day trip timeline (arrive ~11:15, pregame at TX Live, game at 2, Hutchins BBQ afterward); Tate’s 3 a.m. “cuddle” wake-up; Little Spoon resealable snack puffs; Rocky smiling “at” them; Wes and Amanda joking about pregnancy cravings amid online speculation.

Harrison got back last night from the World Cup at like nine. He Ubered home from Dallas.
0:42Pretty much nine on the dot. And how was it? I was like, yeah. It was very fun. What's that? I hate when somebody says, I like, yeah, I hate that sentence, so I'm very sorry for doing that. I didn't want to talk over you. You better be so sorry. I'm so sorry. He's so apologetic. I'm just, I couldn't be more sorry. I want you to talk about how the atmosphere was. Because it was at the Dallas Cowboys Stadium. Jerry's World? Yeah, Jerry's World. I have a lot of things to talk about. Okay, what were they? What are they? Fire in the hole. The first is the Dallas day trip for an event. Highly recommend.
1:24Because you drove up with neighbors, neighbor T. We left at 8 a.m. we were there at car parked at 11am let's call it 1115 and then we were in the mix of the pregame festivities at TX Live at 1115 because TX is staying at the Lowe's right in that they have this Lowe's hotel like L-O-E-S L-O-E-W-S there's where the Rangers play and where the Cowboys stay and then they built a cool infrastructure in between and they have a hotel there So we booked that hotel. So we just pulled right up, dropped the car off and we're right in the mix of things. And then like three hours of pregame festivities. Game starts at two.
2:09We go to Hutchins Barbecue after. How was that? It's very good. Hutchins is very good. OK, amazing. Yeah, they've got a few throughout Dallas. And then I was in an Uber at six o 'clock and back at nine or two. Did any Ubers cancel on you when they saw it was a three hour drive? No. So the first guy who accepted, I messaged him and I just said, hey, I'm going to Austin. Is that OK? And he called me and he was like, yeah, I'm good with that. But let's talk when you get there. And we just we the kind of added thing that I agreed with him on is that I buy him a tank of gas in addition to the fee. I feel like Uber has like a thing for everything now.
2:48And it's weird that they don't have like a long haul. option. I think that what they do is the drivers because I do a lot of these long trips and I rarely do get cancelled and so I think that when you get on there you probably set the hours you're prepared to work or like some element of how far you're prepared to drive because it was the same thing when we went to San Antonio for the Spurs game. Oh so they know Uber knows this guy will do a long haul. I think that's probably bigger more common in especially Dallas with all the flight cancellations happening at a DFW, people driving to Houston, Austin, San Antonio.
3:24Yeah. Oklahoma City or something like that. So it's my first time to Cowboy Stadium. If you haven't been, I think it's one of the most special stadiums I've ever been to. It is so cool. You walk in through the doors and you get hit with just a wave of energy, which very few stadiums, I think, give you. And like they've got the mega screen, like the screen that they have in there is out of control. So mega. Have you been? Uh-huh. Okay. I think I've been like, honey, you have to remember, like I grew up in Oklahoma City. So Dallas for me was our big city. What was so surprising is I didn't realize how old, how long that stadium has been around.
4:10It's been a long, like I went. It looks like it was built two years ago. How long was it? I think someone said like, ooh, let's just pull it so we don't get it wrong. Because I went there first or second. There was a Patriots game. I think I was down here, well, 2009. Yeah, so very surprising that stadium's been around for 15 years. Yeah, it wasn't high school. It looks like it opened yesterday. I didn't know that it was inside. And when it was raining all day, I was thinking, oh, it's a bummer that it's going to be raining for this game. well Jules but it wasn't raining in Dallas I don't know I really thought of that when he sent a photo though I was like oh my god so beautiful and sunny up there and then I realized I did the same thing you did I was like oh the entire state of Texas right when it rains everywhere I do that so you so you say yes like you're glad you went I'm very very glad I went I really want to go to Cowboys game now like that's I can't believe I haven't been I already pulled the schedule and and the beauty being i i really think as long as it's a two o 'clock directional kickoff like or a midday kickoff we'll um go down and back we can do a night in dallas though they've got so many good restaurants but yeah i agree you waking up in bed this morning like there's nothing like your own bed so nice so well rested in terms of in terms of the actual experience what i'll say is like the loved it had a lot of fun the the teams didn't travel well oh so you didn't have and i like asked a lot of people like like people wearing france jerseys like are you in from france because we're so far away from uh both countries most of the fans there were soccer fans versus people from Spain and France.
6:04Right. And when I compare that, so like there was a pocket in the top right of Spain fans, like a Spain section, and a pocket in the top left of France fans. Those sections were going wild. But the rest of the stadium wasn't that. It was a bunch of Americans. And when I compare it to like had Mexico or the U.S. or Canada been in or... or other countries from Central or South America, it would have felt different. The amount of Mexico fans there and Mexico jerseys was insane. That's amazing. Mexico not advancing far. Had Mexico advanced, it would have been another level of atmosphere. So overall, so happy we went, and it was really cool to see.
6:59and my biggest takeaway is how have I not been to a Cowboys game? Yeah. Pretty awesome stadium, huh? When it was built, it was mind-blowing. I remember. But it still is mind-blowing. I've been to most of the new stadiums, and I think that that one's far and away the best. Yeah, and it's cool. It's three hours away, so it's close, you know? Yeah. I actually think they're kind of botching a lot of stadiums these days. When we went to that in Vegas, who plays in there? The Raiders? Allegiant Stadium. Yes, the Raiders, yes. I was like, what? We got to do more. It's a perfect example. We got to do more, guys.
7:35It's the perfect... Like, the Allegiant Stadium looks really cool on the outside, and then you walk inside, like, and it's a bit of a shell. And they've got that live, or they've got that nightclub on the bottom. I think it's a win nightclub in the end zone, which is, like, incredibly cool. Yeah, but you got to beef it up for everybody. But the rest of the stadium is not. Yeah. Yeah, I agree. Okay, so today's episode is, well, like and subscribe if you're listening to this. Send it to a friend. Do all those really fun things. We're going to talk about 3 a.m. wake-ups. How do you say this outbreak?
8:13Harrison wants to call out that you didn't say please. Oh, I didn't love it. Jules, can't we? You just did that. Oh, please like and subscribe. Thank you. We love you. Please, please. Cyclosporiasis. cyclo spriasis yes is this fake news it feels like fake news no no how many people is it affected I know two 7 ,000 mainly in Michigan but I know two 7 ,000 they've been messaging me and so 31 states so why don't you give the rundown the one liner hold on we're all hold on 3 a.m. wake ups cyclosporiasis aka the parasite um growth spurts and then west and amanda we're gonna so that's the episode today I got my nails done you haven't noticed why haven't you noticed it's a cousin of the color i had before what's that was it chipped it's not these are i mean this is a russian manicure honey it's not going anywhere um did you know i i'm saving money on my nails i did the math because i used to get them done every like 11 days now i get them done every three weeks we need to get the nails in the budget i was redoing the budget oh yeah i'm saving nails and hair yeah okay great great um okay so So let me give you the TLDR on the cyclosporiasis.
9:28Yeah. Who named it? I think the cyclospora is the bacteria or the parasite. Cyclosporiasis is the... It's like a thing. This isn't like a net new name. That's just Jules being Jules right there. Yeah, just knowing that. Just knowing that. Well, I was researching. That is incredible. But yeah, it's not like a net new thing. It's something that has previously been monitored for. Maybe it's not being monitored for now. Now there's an outbreak. A lot of people are mad about this one, H. And we were asking Chad about this yesterday. I think the funding for disease, what's it called? Disease and something.
10:09Infectious disease. Yes, was cut. So this isn't getting monitored maybe the way that it's supposed to. I don't know anything about that. That's just what we're hearing. Now let me explain to you what it is. You can't. It's on. it's a bacteria living on produce if you get it i'm just going to give you in layman's terms if you get it this is the part that's concerning you are shitting your pants to the tune of like both people i've talked to that had it they're not they're not making it to the bathroom every time it's like every three to four minutes like yes it's very extreme like it's they're saying it's like explosive and extreme one person that told me she was like i and i know her so this is like a real source okay she's like i got i started crying after the second week because like i couldn't believe i still had it okay but this is the worst part weeks also it's a parasite not a bacteria i feel like maybe people will be honest for that but the worst thing is that the um symptoms don't come on until one to two weeks after you have whatever two to 14 days yeah two to 14 days is like how long it could take and i i had green onions yesterday and i didn't i wasn't thinking and now i'm gonna be just anxious for two to 14 days like i'm really sure jules will not be able to come to work if she gets i i like you can't come i think i can't think about it chance of getting it like you're you're talking about 7 000 of 300 plus million people who have eaten produce you don't want it but you don't want it we're talking i agree you don't want it we're talking true true needle in the haystack so imagine if this hits you on an airplane yeah of course you don't want it and and you don't want it like we had the norovirus or whatever this is worse i don't want it like i i i'm down so here's the thing this isn't 7 000 and alex knows too that's crazy it's prevalent in texas is it prevalent in texas i thought it didn't get to Texas.
12:10No, it's in Texas. Honey, it's here. What I did read, though, is some people are pointing the finger at Taco Bell. Yes, the lettuce. But I don't think, I think Taco Bell, they said they took everything off the menu that could have it. I think Taco Bell's doing good. Go Taco Bell. Way to get in on the action. I don't know, P shaking her head, but what I saw this morning is Taco Bell's just saying, we're not putting lettuce on your tacos anymore. For the time being. Well, I mean, if I If there's a restaurant who's doing that, that's tough. That's tough. You mean that's tough? Because that's admitting they don't know.
12:51Well, how would you know? You can't see the parasite. Well, I assume you'd be able to test it. They don't know where, I don't know if they can test it, but they don't know. No one knows where it is living right now because it takes one to two weeks, so no one can pinpoint what they ate that caused it. So when they're self-reporting it, there's nothing to report because it could be anything you ate in the last two weeks. And a lot. So for some reason, the most cases like 3000 plus are in Michigan. Oh. Yeah, that's like the hot spot of the outbreak. And they're tracing it there. They're having a pretty good time saying they're pretty sure it's lettuce, both packaged and not.
13:31So this is my thing. Just burgers right now with no lettuce on them. Like, just just don't eat it. Okay, so we're going no produce in the house? Yeah, so no, just like, why bother with it? Yeah, I'm with you. I'm with you. You know, and they don't know how to... I had the broccoli slaw at Hutchins yesterday. Broccoli's safe. It was worth it. Really? Well, it's all on the high risk list. The high risk list... The risk reward was worth it for me. Harrison, that's where you're wrong. It's because you don't have it yet. if you get it I'm telling you there's no food worth swallowing there there there's no taste I'm good I needed this slaw to compliment the brisket it doesn't matter I promise on day nine of this thing you'll be like I wish I wouldn't have had it I would think broccoli would be bad because it said it said avoid vegetables that aren't easy to wash I feel like broccoli is hard to wash I know I'm so upset with myself about the green onions I didn't realize I just I know And then my mom's sending me these things about, like, you can scrub them with this.
14:33And one of my friends, like, you can boil your stuff. I'm like, I can't because I don't know if I got it all. You can eat a cooked vegetable. Do you think your slaw was cooked? No. Broccoli slaw wouldn't be cooked. Dude, ew. Dr. Ari put up an infographic and she said the best thing, if you want produce, is, like, anything with a peel on it. Yeah, like a kiwi. But still wash the peel. A banana. An avocado. So this is becoming, like. No, like it's a thing. When did it become a thing? Because it's not fully on my radar. I feel like in the last couple of days, but it was around like a couple of weeks ago.
15:06And I feel like a couple of weeks ago was like a joke. Right. Now it's like a thing. Yes. That's, I guess, in the 24 hours that I was gone, it became a thing. Like last night when we were making Neighbor M. I'm looking at something. Neighbor M. was like, I'm going to make us dinner. And I was like, okay, but I have to ask, is there any produce in it? And she was like, absolutely not. Like people are not. No. No. If your kids could design their own debit cards, what would it look like? I'll go first. Tate's would be pink with sparkles and, of course, some cowgirl boots on it. And the one thing I'm already thinking about is how we are going to have the conversation about the value of a dollar.

18:29wake up where she's crying or, you know, she's making noises. Like she was black and white. She was up. Okay. Yeah. So you decided to bring her into our room to cuddle. Yes. Where she did cuddle for actually like an hour, but throughout the hour, about every two minutes, you say, hi, dada. Like that. Well, we, yeah. So our morning routines have now added a cuddle. like a anywhere from two minute to 15 minute cuddle session and that's what she was doing like she wasn't coming into our bed to sleep she was coming to cuddle then hi hi hi yeah a lot of hi is happening then Harrison was like I think she's awake for the day so that's when I took her because Harrison at the world cup I was like you're not going to be tired like I and I was too nice of you I was so excited for this world cup for you like I think it's so cute that you like wanted to go on a Tuesday.
19:25So I'm like, you need your sleep. So Tate and I went downstairs and we just hung out until eight when the nanny share started. And that was like a 530. I did like the three to 530. Yeah, the way we divided and conquered was completely fine with me. My issue was this. There's a couple things and my main problem was at 3 a.m. we need to have our process in play of how we're going to handle nighttime wake ups because I was too tired to have a discourse with you. so when you were like I think she's awake for the day I was like perfect she's awake for the day like I didn't have time to sit there and be like I think we should put her back in there and I think we should leave her for 10 minutes and see what happens because I think she's tired but I think like this is where I it felt very different to me is two or three times in the middle of the cuddles I went to bring her back and she fought like Like, you know, she fought going back.
20:23She was saying, like, go, go, go, or uppies, uppies, uppies, or cuddle, cuddle, cuddle. Like, she didn't want to go back in. Like, when we're going by the door, she's grabbing the door. But I think that's... And normally, like, she never does that. Like, when we put her in bed, like, at other times when she's gotten up, like, she never fights going back in the bed. She only fights going back in the bed when she's not tired like this. I think is where I'm I'm I'm standing my ground on on what we did is like she's very communicate, very communicative around the bed. She's very clear that when she does not want to go in the bed, it's because she is not tired.
21:08And when and when she is tired, she loves going into her crib. So I'm good. I'm good with saying this was an anomaly. It felt like an anomaly, not a routine. I'm fine with that. But in the middle of the night, it felt like we were having discourse on what we should do. So I want to say this. I want to say maybe three times a year will there be this anomaly. And I do agree. We can read her around her crib. But the other, so that I'm very good with. And I do agree. The other night, she was just wide awake. But I think with most 3 a.m. wake-ups, what we need to do is just go in there and rub her back.
21:42Her passing probably fell out. And then close the door and leave. Totally. And that's what we normally do. My call it was this felt so different. Yeah. And I'm good with that. And I think that's cute. And I think that's very dad of you to read that with her. But I am going to read you the comments. Okay. Okay. Number one, we are absolutely not going downstairs. 2 ,000 likes. I'm leaving her in there and not starting a 3 a.m. pattern habit. All of these are like our... Yeah. All of these we know, but we're calling this one a different night, which I agree with. I would look at the monitor as long as they're safe, they're staying in there.
22:15This is my favorite. Mine podcasts for about 20 to 30 minutes every night around 2 a.m. She's never upset or crying, just wakes up and yaps to herself. We leave a stuffy and a book in her crib, which usually entertains her unless she cries. We just let her yap. And then basically, this one, my 204-month-old does this too. She just makes herself a grilled cheese and goes back to bed. So it does get easier. well i don't understand the last one that's how old is that person um two i mean at least over 10 yeah they're like sorry can you repeat the comment my 204 month old oh my two i thought i heard my two and four months 204 month old so this person is older oh okay um and what i was thinking is it's so funny if bubber is going through a sleeper okay one thing harrison kept saying to me over and over again was sometimes we don't just all sleep through the night and i thought that was really cute like sometimes i wake up at four three five in the morning and i'm just i'm ready to go what i said to jules yesterday is there's two people in this house going through a sleep regression then harrison's one of them and bubber's the other because you do have a valid point like this girl she sleeps the night every night and she just wanted to get up at three one day so yeah i'm doing a live flop with you here and and and last night we were back to normal back to normal regular programming so i i i would feel very differently if this started to become a habit because you looked at me and you're like she's playing you she's playing you i'm like she's not like this is this is an anomaly we've never we'd never do this but i think it's cute that now that i now sorry now that i've gathered my thoughts and talked through this with you I think it's really cute that you actually were like some like some days.
24:06I guess if we haven't made this clear in the moment at 3 a.m. Alex wanted her back in the bed and I and I fought against it. Yeah. I was like, we got to follow the rules here. We got to rub her back, put her back in the bed. And he was like, no, she's up. And I was like, I'm too tired to argue with you. So sure. Great. So my my thing that I was wanting to talk about was how we need to have a process at 3 a.m. because I'm too, if we start having a dialogue about how to handle the problem, we're going to wake up and she's going to wake up and that's bad. But you are right. Nine times out of 10, we're on the same page, rubber back.
24:36She goes back to bed. But this one, you were saying, no, the kid woke up. She's up. Totally. And we, because there's no discourse on the, on the other nine out of 10 times, cause that's what we've been doing and we've been aligned on it. And this, this, yeah, I went rogue. Wow. I'm so proud of us. I went rogue. You did go rogue. And sometimes, but I like that you went rogue because we would have fought for two hours, not fought with each other, fought with her trying to get her to go back to bed. She wasn't going back to bed. Just by following what we've read. And instead you read the kid and you were like, she wants to wake up.
25:08So we woke up. Yeah, she just did not want to be in that bed. And sometimes I want to wake up at 3 a.m. Not really. Not lately. And one important caveat. At one point I did put her back in the crib and she didn't like lie down. She went and she just stood and was like, and Emma's screaming that she's like, no, no, no. Like, she didn't want to be in the crib. Yeah, she didn't want to be in the crib. And most of the time she actually, like last night when I put her down, she's like, na-na, mama, bye. Which is normally the response we get. And then I just melt. I melt. Okay, so. And then I'll say love you like 45 times until she finally says it back.
25:48I love you. I love you. I love you. I love you. That's what she says back. Oh, also, Tate loves sushi. we've learned that. We've learned that. We had it last night and we had it on Sunday. She gets the cucumber and avocado roll because they can't have raw fish until they're two. So she just has her own little sushi roll. She shoves one chopstick in it, eats it like a lollipop, absolutely loves it. It's probably a new favorite food unlock. And okay, so what else is going on with Bubber? We are... I want to talk about food. Can I talk about food? Yeah. Okay. We, and this is a new partner of ours, Little Spoon.
26:24it's become our new go-to brand for her do you know the best thing they do that's here those little so the snacks they have the little puffers i just ordered like a ton more yesterday yeah the puffs they have the reusable seal it's so she can open them eat two and then we can seal it up because i was so sick we would open up the pretzels then we need two and then i'd like okay well there's the bag of pretzels well the where i love these ones specifically is airplanes. Airplanes go-to snack. The other thing, so I think what I'd harp on with Little Spoon that I think is so great about them is it's very rare to find a brand where you trust the ingredients and that covers so many different food groups for different ages.
27:12So like, funny enough, they have these little cups of vegetables like butternut squash and sweet potato that we gave her for the first time when she was like six months old. She still loves those today. She had two yesterday last night. But we're doing like a ton of on-the-go stuff right now. So the - Fruit Rippers. The Fruit Rippers, which is these like little fruit snacks. The pouches. What do they call them, Jules? The Yogos. Or the smoothies. She calls them Go-Go's. Yeah. The Yogos and then - The chip puffs. And then the puffs. So we love Little Spoon, safe to say. Big fan, clean ingredients, organic ingredients, and great mix of stuff at home and on the road.
28:00Yeah, and they test everything and they have a no-no list of 100 plus ingredients. So you can really feel confident about everything your kid's eating, which is amazing with Little Spoon. And just the convenience of taking these snacks on the go is unbelievable. And having it ready when you need it. Yeah, very excited to be partnering with them. Yes, and so you guys can get 30 % off Little Spoon first-time customers only with code 2PARENTS30. That's code 2PARENTS30 for 30 % off for new customers. I'm telling you it's worth it. At least go order some snacks. You will be, like, so happy. If people could try one thing, what should they try?
28:34I think it's, like, use case dependent. I think that if you're traveling. I think it's the snacks with the resealable. That was genius. Yeah. It's very good. They're like mini bags of chips, but the puffs inside of it are healthy, clean ingredients. And they have like five or six ingredients, all easy to pronounce. They're not loaded with flavor at all. They're actually quite bland in taste. It's like a Ziploc baggie. And so, big fan. Yeah, she loves them. Okay, now let's talk about our little Rocky Bears. So... A.K.A. Rocket Man. Rocket Man. Number one, he's starting to smile. And did you know this?
29:11Before three months, smiling is something they can't control. But around two to three months, they start to know they smile because they can get a reaction out of you. So they like smiling. So he's now smiling because he wants to. Yeah, that's what I was going to say is it feels like he's smiling because he wants to. It becomes a social smile. Because he's smiling in reaction to what I feel like what I'm doing. Now they're, yeah, because around the two to three month mark, it becomes highly communicative and emotionally driven for them to smile. And they're smiling because they recognize you. How cute is that?
29:47We need a word for like the three month. The three month switch. Oh, I got the name of the song that you were referencing. What? I think it's Travis Scott. Light switch. Oh, jeez. And I pulled Charlie Poo. but that song that i think it's travis scott that song came on the other day and i said oh this is the song harrison met not the charlie pooth song when on the pod last episode we were talking about like a light switch oh oh oh i'll be out like charlie pooth i'll be out oh it's called switch that her his song is called switch charlie pooth is light switch where i think he makes the song using the noise from a light switch he's the best who charlie i'm so um just interested in you say charlie puth is the best yeah like i just think that his whole perfect pitch thing is just like here's my question about charlie puth okay because i i agree with you his talent level relative to his hits level there seems to be a mismatch i couldn't pick this man out of the lineup.
30:57Like, this guy, he is so talented. He has, like, perfect pitch. That's his whole thing. What's the song? The number one song. We Don't Talk Anymore, probably. But I feel like we don't see enough, like, of his songs on the top 100. No. Does he do a lot of, like, producing? What is it? Producing or, like, stuff like that, too? Is it good John Belion? Yeah. I love John Belion. Charlie is not on my radar. if you want if you want a good 15 to 30 minutes on tiktok just search john bellion and scroll and watch this man work his magic and he just talks about him making songs and he shows it in studios there's a million different clips an example of charlie pooth is like he could hear like that like the ac come on and he can like match the pitch with his voice wow like and like then make a song and then make a song out of it it's crazy so he's like super talented yeah Yeah.
31:55But it's so talented, you'd think he'd have more Top 100 songs. Maybe he's so talented he gets in his own way. Who knows? But on this pop culture topic, it feels like this is a good Wes Amanda transition. Nope, we're going to go right back to our Rocky Bears because we were on him. So we're just going to get the train back on the track and then we'll go to the pop culture. So him smiling is kind of the difference between now saying the baby is just smiling or the baby is smiling at me. Yeah. He's smiling at me. Yeah. And then the other thing with Rocky. Okay. I want to do a little breast milk chat because I'm still pumping.
32:35And my goal was three months. Right. And we're going to be at three months at the end of this week. Number one, I used to think like breast milk was just something in me, like a liquid in me that I just extracted out. But I've realized after reading more into it, it's something that changes my body composition every hour, right? Which is why morning milk is different than nighttime milk, and nighttime milk has melatonin in it. So your body is literally adjusting every hour, and it's not milk. This milk isn't something I have in me. It's something my body's having to make from my nutrients, right?
Read the full transcript
33:14So it's pulling from me to make it. Second thing I've learned, this is going to blow your mind. If Rocky gets sick and I breastfeed him, a little bit of his saliva will go in the nipple. Sorry, TMI. Okay? My body will then read it and say this is what he has and then produce an antibody to help him fight it. That's unbelievable. Because we talked about the antibodies before, but I was unaware how they developed. So was I. What kicked off that process? And so the parasite started me thinking that would obviously not work because it's not contagious like that. But then I started thinking about it.
33:51Is it the same if I'm pumping the breast milk as opposed to if I'm breastfeeding him? And what I've learned is if I'm pumping the breast milk, that's still really good antibodies, but they're not specific antibodies. I would need to breastfeed them. That makes sense. Is that not mind-blowing? It's very cool. Because I have also just been exhausted. exhausted and I need to get my blood work done because I think it could be iron it could be thyroid it could be all you know there's all these different hormone changes that happen after you have a baby but you know I'm also like you're still pumping and breastfeeding like yeah I mean the the work does not stop the day that that child is born it's unbelievable what what you take on it's gnarly but I know that I said I because I said I would give an update on how the pumping and the breastfeeding is going and like it's a non-event right now for me so i'm just going to keep doing it in the minute i'm like this is annoying i won't do it but right now like no issue and i noticed i was putting some ice in um the freezer coffee this morning i noticed your milk supplies gone oh she used it it appears i didn't see anything in the top row oh so diana must have used it all yeah so i told her okay so for the nighttime feeds because what what i'm pumping yeah so i'm this is the other thing i'm not trying to keep up with what he's eating that was my big thing was we're combo feeding we're combo feeding yeah so we're using bobby when i don't have any yeah i said use the freezer supply first because you know me i didn't mark what month we were on and i know it lasts six months and we didn't use a bunch of tate supply exactly so i was like just use it if we've got it use it um wait what you didn't use what so like with tate i had a freezer supply and we ended up never using it because i kept waiting waiting waiting and it only lasts six months like you just like forgot it was in there so we threw it out okay so with rocky early on i had a huge freezer supply so what i was saying for the nighttime feeds is use the freezer supply but it's crazy because i i thought i had this massive freezer supply look it's gone Yeah, so did I.
36:03That's why I took note. So I'm probably pumping right now 75 % of his bottles. Nice. And that's not going to change. Like, I'm not going to pump more. I'm not going to try to get my supply up or down. It's going to stay steadfast. But you went from oversupplying. In the first month, you were a big oversupplier. Because he ate so little.
36:29See what I mean? Yeah, Jules is making a face. No. We were accumulating a massive amount of ounces, but he was only drinking - He was eating one to two ounces. Yeah. And now he's eating six. Per feed. Big week, up to six last week. So I probably pump four of his bottles a day. Got it. Yeah, I think that my observation is comparing baby one versus baby two. and the difference in combo feeding baby two versus not combo feeding baby one is like it looked like with baby one you do you had this consistent amount of pressure to always be getting him the milk and like being at events and you know pumping at events and having people pick up the milk or, you know, versus now, like if the timing doesn't work, you remove that pressure from yourself and he just takes a bottle of formula.
37:35It feels like it's been a massive stress reliever for you. Is that, is that true? It's, it's, I'll never forget being in Whistler at a wedding, your friend's wedding. Yeah. And I went to the bathroom and I pumped the milk and your sister had to come get it. Yeah. And like, listen, if you do that, that's awesome. And go you. Like, that's incredible. That was my journey with Tate. That is very specifically not my journey with Rocky. Because moms get to choose their milk journey. My chosen journey is pump whenever I want and supplement with formula the rest. Now, pump whenever I want. Granted, like sometimes, I mean, with your boobs leak, I'm definitely pumping it out.
38:18but I know now how long I can go and um yeah so there's no there's no pressure around this milk and I think that's why it's just been able to be a pretty non-event for me you're doing amazing yesterday tomorrow on the airplane and what happened when we went to Colorado I checked my pumps I used to carry them on and pump on the plane yeah you you seem like and Harrison said when we were leaving he's like are you not going to pack your pumps in your carry on I was like no no no no there will be no more Alex strapping on her pumping bra on an airplane or breastfeeding Rocky like no you can tell me if this is the right use of it your mental load level feels much lower now versus the way it was with tape yeah I'm at a 2 out of 10 because you still now having to do it every morning and every night is still huge amount of work it's an added 20 minutes but that's fine especially now that I put the mini fridge in our room big it's at Target I think it's I think it's$29.99, best thing I did.
39:19But yeah, with Tate, it was a 9 out of 10. Yeah. So anyways, that's what's going on with Rocketman. There are so many electrolyte companies on the market. And let me tell you, one of my new favorites is Cure Hydration. And honestly, what sets Cure apart is the fact that it's coconut water and pink Himalayan salt doing the work, not sugar, you guys. I really wanted something that was clean. And that was one of my favorite things about Cure is their ingredients, you guys. Plus, it's a light and refreshing, which is the perfect thing for the Texas hot summer days. They have the best range of flavors like peach, mango, watermelon, lemonade, blood orange, and many more.
39:54And you guys, I can put the cure sticks in my purse, in my gym bag, in the car, and it makes life with kids easy peasy lemon squeezy. Cure hydration is officially available on Target, which is one thing I am so excited about because I stocked up last week and I am not ashamed to say I've already had to restock again. So find them at your local Target. Get 20 % off at curehydration.com with code 2PARENTS. Okay, Wes and Amanda, speaking of babies. I'm very mad at them. I'm very mad at them. Okay, because I'm 20 % educated on this situation, so you have to give me the rundown. Okay, so we don't see a lot of footage of them, but the little footage we did see, she's wearing like a baggy dress.
40:37So people are speculating that she's pregnant. For like the past couple of weeks. So that's been like a rumor. Very like un-Amanda like outfits. Okay. I guess is the point. So online has started speculating that she's pregnant. Okay. I wasn't aware. Now for two people who, and I quote, you know, don't pay attention to online. Very interesting for them to then go and make a video that Wes posted on TikTok of Amanda going to the bodega and getting like pickles and ice cream, a.k.a. pregnancy cravings. where I think this is tone deaf and offside is two reasons. Number one, a lot of women are trying to get pregnant.
41:21Totally. So you either need to be pregnant to make that or like everything else, don't address it. They don't address so many things. Okay. So I'm very mad. I think that's like very distasteful. Number two, you know, did you two just sit and think, Oh, this is a good eye. This is the one we're going to do. let's not show us being happy together ever you know let's give them nothing but let's address the pregnancy rumors like that's what you guys drummed up okay so this is where i'm very confused i think they're mean like this is where i'm very confused because i watched the video the best sorry the best comment was she should have just taken the pickles from sierra's fridge just go over there and get them this best one i so i saw it let me watch the the video not logged in on mobile.
42:07Love that. So I saw it. But I was unaware of the pregnancy rumors. When I watched the video I thought it was a video about her because her big thing is she smokes weed all the time, right? Is her being high at the bodega. No. Oh, no. Pickles is a pregnancy craving. Okay. That's where it sets in. So they address the rumors through that video. Yeah. And then did they come out and say she's not pregnant? No. So she may be pregnant. She's not pregnant. How do you know? Or actually I'm not saying that she's not pregnant but like they're poking fun at the pregnancy rumors so unless they come out and say that she is pregnant like like who this is what we've got ever get pregnant like only a couple months after meeting someone so i was thinking about that and then i was like oh wait like i'm not your best friend's ex-wife and you're not my best friend's ex-boyfriend so yay like this is what they do you know where i i could clap for them is if they showed us some video of the two of them interacting in some happy way or they were like guys we know this has been really messy we are still anything but the video you're gonna post i just i don't like Like, where I kind of got to, like, play on the other end here is, like, I think we've kind of put these people in this, like, lose, lose, lose situation.
43:36Where, like, I'm one, it's like, you don't show anything. Like, it's kind of like when LeBron went to Miami many, many years ago. And it was just like, wake up and realize you're the villain and play the villain card. Like, and then that made him a lot more likable. But Life 101, you don't joke about pregnancy and you also don't talk about pregnancy. We've known about these pregnancy rumors for weeks. But where have we known it? Are they on Dexma or whatever it's called? Dumas. No, they're not. Yeah. They're everywhere. So these are like... No, I've known about them for weeks and in theory that would be something we talk about, but you don't talk about pregnancy rumors and you don't make jokes about being pregnant.
44:21Yeah, you don't speculate. Life 101. Yeah. No, I'm I hear you. I hear you. But H, in terms of them playing the villain, which I'm very down to watch. This isn't that this is like leaning into some random rumor like they they're going to take the bull by the horns and run head first and start like they're going to make content. The two of them, they're going to have to. That's they need to do. This wasn't it. This isn't the first video I want to see. Like this just shows the first video. Yeah. OK. This just shows like you guys don't have it. Come on. You know what? We're paying attention to what you're saying online and we think we're funny.
44:57Yeah, you're not funny. You two drummed up that. That's what you guys did. You guys were like, let's address that. Let's go to the data. And how mad is the internet? Very mad. You don't make jokes like you don't make jokes about being pregnant. No, make a joke about no one likes us together. I don't know. Give us something like that. Lean into the plus one from the wedding and there was like a lot of rumors about that um heck i think kyle would jump in a tiktok with you like the internet he would the internet is just like okay how they are filming this in the city like as close to real time because they were saying i just saw a clip of kyle being like she asked him to go out on a date with her and west and his girl a double date I think they're doing the back and forth.
45:46I love it. But I think that as a whole, it appears in the city mist. I just was like, what is going on? It appears in the city mist. The finale was last night. Yeah, I haven't. And once again, I'm not the best at this now because I'm off the internet. But it feels like there's not been a lot of buzz around the show. She said on the show, she said she doesn't feel like she can go outside. she feels like like someone's you know someone's gonna say something to her or attack her or blah blah blah and she said like i can only go out with people i feel safe with would you go out to dinner with me and then they were joking like yeah we can do a double date with amanda and west and kyle and then some girl named like sophie or something i don't remember her name this girl feels like she can't go out in public and yet she went out in public and did the pregnancy video yeah Yeah.
46:42Yeah. I'm very sad about that guys. Yeah me too. Okay so they were gonna go on a double. Yeah her and Kyle like it's a bit confusing but like he's not. So he posted a photo dump last night of like the in the city filming. I can't believe I just got up got a drink and didn't pee. I thought you were gonna pee. I need to. He but in the photo dump there was a lot of like solos of him and Amanda or even just Amanda. You guys, someone tried to fight me in the bathroom. What? Yeah, at the game. Why? Yeah. Well, hold on. Now, this time I was going to handle a bubbler. What did you do, Ron? So the way the flow of the bathroom worked was we came in from like two separate angles.
47:31Yeah, very familiar. Stadia and bathroom, yeah. Stadia and bathroom, and I end up in front of him. And he was like, you cut me. Harrison. And so I was like, all right, go in front of me. Great. There was no problem with it. But he just didn't want to drop it there. And he just kept barking at me. And he reminded me. I felt like I was dealing with a chihuahua. Was he short? He was really small. And I was just like, this is the craziest dynamic. Because like. You can go in front of me. One, you can go in front of me. And two, we are dealing with such a size mismatch here. that like if we were to one like i'm so anti-fighting like i'm not i am i'm not a fighter no not happening if we were to have fought i feel like i would have and it would have been on video i feel like i would have gotten trouble for like beating up someone so small and it was like dude like this needs to just defuse the stop and he was clearly just like so drunk um He was looking for a fight.
48:41Yeah, I almost, like, there was no one in the, there was a lot of people in the area, but, like, on my way out, like, I walked, like, a policeman was walking by me, and, like, I thought about just, like, if he was around, I was just going to call out the situation. This guy wants to fight me. I was just like, hey, like, I wanted to go to the policeman, but you should probably keep some eyes on that guy, because, like, with the way he came at me, he's probably going to be going at somebody, and like I was in a very like non-offendable state. Right. Which I'm not sure you could say about a lot of drunken soccer fans.
49:18And it's like let's just get ahead of this. But yeah, it was like this dude totally tried to fight me. Wow. Even after you're like you can go ahead of me, man. Some people are just looking for a fight. The problem is is then I was like he's in front of me and then he keeps looking back at me and I keep looking back at him. And I wasn't like, it was just bizarre. Did he go in front of you? Yes. And then he was still mad. Well, we're walking towards the journals and he's like, what I could only describe as like barking at me. And I'm like, dude, like, and I'm kind of like this. Like, dude, like, I don't know what you want to do.
49:53Like, we're not going to fight. Like, this is not what we fight. We're going to get kicked out. Like, I am not a fighter, number one. And if we fight, we're going to get kicked out of the game. Yeah. And like, we're, we paid to be here. They're like, move on. These tickets were not cheap. Move it on. And he just kept going and going and going. And he's like, I think, like, I don't know. I think he thought I was French. And he's like, you French think you're better than everyone. Oh, and you're like, dude, I'm from Canada. Yeah. I mean, this just isn't. This isn't it, dude. Oh, I'm so sorry that happened to you.
50:25Yeah. I'm so glad. But you always, this is the thing, honey. Even if you don't cut them, you let them go ahead of you. just no problem go ahead of me there's nowhere you have to be you know yeah it was i'm just imagining if there was a video of harrison getting in a fight oh my gosh i never i never want to see you fight somebody no i'm not laughing at you like yeah i'm thinking like it goes by that would be terrible jules if a video came out on this interaction the video would show me being just like very odd like very like dude i don't know what you want to do right now like what else do you want from me i'm not like i'm not engaging in the physical dynamic of this it is a lose lose lose lose it's also stupid yeah you cut me great go ahead of me salt it's salt drop it yeah move on yeah then you french think like what here's the funny the funniest piece of it which i'm just remembering now before i got in line we made eye contact and i thought he signaled me in front of him you know what harrison this guy probably did only to pick a fight with you but and what i will say is like lines at stadiums and a lot of people are asking direction there's a lot of like are you cutting are you not cutting going on which i think we got to be okay with but then if someone feels offended you got to let them go of course let them Like we had a big line going into our section and what people didn't realize was it was a fake line.
51:56Okay. It was one person asking the person, checking the tickets, a bunch of questions. Right. And so everyone's behind. It's like, no, no, no. You don't need to wait in this line. Just go around. You can just walk straight and flash your thing and go. Right. But like we had 15 people. So that's an example of a walk by. and if someone gets offended, it's like, no, no, no, you can go and please go ahead of me. Yes, always go ahead of you. Yeah. I love a nice stop and let somebody go ahead of you because I just think body language right there symbolizes kindness. Yeah. Yeah. And I looked at the dude behind me, and this was a very old gentleman, and he was just like...
52:37Oh. Yeah. He wasn't like, I got you. Yeah, I was looking for some support being like, you turn behind the guys that came in and calmed down. I just didn't get that. So you... Right. Like you were kind of looking for somebody to be like, I don't know what this dog's deal is. A little chihuahua still yapping at you. And what kind of dog are you in this scenario? A black lab? I was 100 % a lab. A lab. Golden retriever. No lab. No, they're the same. Because golden retrievers are always golden, right? No, they can be red. Can they be black? No. I used to love Chocolate Labs growing up. That was my preferred dog.
53:17There we go. Okay. Or what's a French dog? Where were we? Well, I think we were on Weston Amanda. We can move on. Yeah, we sure can. All right, let's do this. In the comments. Wait. Hold on. One more on one more pop culture after Weston Amanda. David Beckham went to Terry Black's. Did you see? You saw? I feel like the need to report things to you since you're not. I know. I did see. I did see. Did he go to the game? He was at the game. Did you see him? They showed him on the screen. Okay. Do people forget, like, David Beckham lives in America? Didn't know. Well, I did. I forgot. Where does he live?
54:03I'm, like, quite sure to very sure that he lives in Miami. I thought he lived near the Soho farmhouse. no i think that's where they have a house but it just feels like we have this it there's this whole moment going up like oh my god david beckham is here and in america for the world cup like i'm pretty sure this dude lives in miami they have london the cotswolds miami dubai and beverly hills okay they're just all they're bopping yeah but as they should i think he's like based in miami i've seen him several times out in miami like enough that what a guy i don't i don't think we talk about that enough like he's awesome yeah was he so how good at soccer was he he was similar to to i'd probably say similar to neymar who's brazil's who was like brazil's guy Like a ton of talent.
55:04Very, very, very good. Had a lot of on-field success. But like didn't win a couple big things like a World Cup. Okay, but still was really, really, really good. Yeah, he was phenomenal. And do you think that his success... And he did a lot for the sport off the field too. Right. He was so beautiful. Well, yeah, he's just like a stud-like stature. But do you think that his like fandom and famedom is amplified by him marrying her? Yeah. Like for sure. Yeah. I watched the documentary and like it was a rare example of two of the biggest personalities in the world getting together. Which like feels like hasn't happened in a long time.
55:54Well and they've made it. like they're gonna they're not gonna get divorced now yes but they also in the document you discuss some trials and tribulations that they went through like what i think there was another another woman david the audacity i'm not i mean i'm okay like my jaw did sort of stay in the same place but i am mad at him yeah i mean like you jay-z beyonce who are one-to-one you posh spice and back in her one-to-one but Justin and Haley they're not I mean that come on it's a good one she's like become cool since then you're right she was like a fangirl thank you Jules I needed you to say it and not me to say like she was isn't that Justin and Selena was a one-to-one yeah and yes now things have changed but she's done well Timothy and Kylie is that a one-to-one or know no she's way bigger than him yeah true what about him this new race car driver that's a very good one lewis that's a very they are having so much fun did you see him you didn't see this he was wake surfing and he did the he was like he did this because he was gonna do a donut and he did it and she was like oh my gosh so cute i think they're cute yeah i'm on the side of twitter that made a lot of fun of that weekend so desktop twitter their july 4th weekend yeah why are they so mad about it oh we'll save it no really like cosplaying america like like no just twitter's mean it's a mean place and so they weren't nice about they're just a lot of funny jokes well do you want to tell us one no because they were mean that's almost worse saying they were mean but not explaining it to us how i saw the photo dump i thought i would assume that people that were being mean to them would be like they're cosplaying like a good old fashioned American 4th of July.
57:50But everyone did that. Did you not notice? Like Jacob, a lord, oh my gosh. A lordy. And Kendall, Haley and Justin, they were on a double date in some mountain town. Where were they? Like Idaho? Oh, I don't know. Everyone and Chloe went. Like, did you not notice everyone kind of went to this like mountain somewhere? I don't know. That's what I... What? Well, we did too. we did the mountain thing okay we went to aspen they went to like they always go to like montana or like something like that court court of lane idaho yeah like what no they're probably the discovery property there maybe they were as a ranch were they gauze ranch yes yes we're getting a yes from p do you know what that is uh no i mean i know now that it's the discovery property there yeah it's like a nice discovery property there what does that even mean discovery properties they build they we have one here they build these properties and you can only go if you're a member and you get access you can only go if you own a property on the in the estate so who owns the property kim owns it okay what so okay so jules there you okay i've never heard of a discovery property you have seen them in every photo okay so I think the first big one that got on people's radars was Baker's Bay discovery is this company and they go and they build like here it's called driftwood driftwood and it's out 30 minutes from the city right uh-huh these are the coolest it's like an adult playground like they have a lazy river Okay.
59:29They have a water slide. They have a golf course. You can only go if you own a house or a lot in the community. Or, I mean, you can take friends, right? Like, we had a friend, and so we went. Yeah. But, like, you can only – that's the only way you can be a member there. Oh. So for them to be at this place, that's why I was like, well, who has the house there? Okay. And so in Coeur d 'Alene, they've got Gaza Ranch, which has an insane golf course, and also is on the lake. Okay. And so there's a big kind of boating setup and scene. And these places, like, they don't cut a single corner. And as Alex said, like, they make it Disneyland for adults just in terms of, like, the food and the snacks and the booze and the activities.
1:00:18We truly did a water slide over and over. One in Driftwood has like a baseball field, paddle courts, the golf club, a bowling alley, like this insane basketball court. So a movie theater, like you just, it's activity central. I actually am sad to hear they were there. I thought they were more remote than that. That's actually let them a bit let down. But they're like - I thought they were like a log cabin. So Casamigos was built through Baker's Bay. That was like where the cast, like all those early Casamigos, Kendall Jenner, all that. What? What? Well, Casamigos, the tequila. Yeah. How like the early days of Casamigos and being in celebrities' hands and Bieber and like all that whole ordeal, that started through Bakers Bay.
1:01:07Where's Bakers Bay? who owns it it's in the Bahamas is one of the owners of he's one of the partners in hold on the way Casa not Casa Casa Migos got it start you're saying is because they put it in the Driftwood properties in the Discovery properties the brand was built through Discovery so celebs always had it in their hand is that what you're saying that was a that was a big part of the brand an awareness story. And the guy that started the Discovery Properties is a part owner or an investor in Casamigos. Correct. Okay. Can we just confirm that that's public? Well, it is now. No, because if it's not.
1:01:54Just kidding. I'm like 99 % sure that's public.
1:02:02Mike Meldman, Casamigos. Mike who? M-E-L-D-M-A-N. m-e-l-d meldman meldman the d and the m are beside each other meldman yeah he's the chairman of discovery land company and one of the founders of cosme goes to tequila with george clooney and miranda gerber these properties are truly insane hawaii they've got a beautiful one in maui okay they got one in nashville love to move on from that okay so So anyways, you know what's been really helping me sleep recently, you guys? My bedding and loungewear from Cozy Earth. You guys know how hot it's been here in Texas, which makes it impossible to stay cool at night.

Plus, they have the best beach quality towels. They are so cute, you guys. They have stripes that go linear and horizontally, and they are adorable. plus they have a 10-year warranty and a 100-night hassle-free return on bedding and the bedding is made from viscose from bamboo which is breathable soft and built for summer so you guys head to cozyearth.com and use our code 2parents for an exclusive 20 % off that's cozyearth.com slash 2parents for 20 % off and they're going to send you a post-purchase survey and let cozy earth know you heard about them right here um okay so that's where they all were cute and what were we talking oh one-to-one couples now here's my next question who is the landon with alex earl and stassi it's not it's lando norris no it's landon barker yeah barker no lando norris no it's landon barker honey you're not on tiktok you haven't seen him in the videos is lando norris the race car driver because he's also been with them so you're both right okay a one-to-one couple but to be clear i'm on social media on desktop No, I'm saying you guys.
1:04:00Oh. But hold on. Landon Barker. Landon Barker is with them right now. Yes, I was thinking by chance maybe, for some reason, I was like, is this a Beckham? No. It's Landon Barker. Now, is the connective how, because I saw somebody say, how'd you pick him up? And they were like, we acquired him, like, as a joke. Did they find him because, like, Stoss is best friends with Kylie, who's, like, related to Courtney, who's like, this is her stepson? Maybe, I don't know. People are shipping Landon Barker and Ashton. Ashton. And shipping in that sentence means putting them together. I've never been more bored over a topic.
1:04:38Your discovery property went on five minutes too long, so get over it. I love it. I love it out there. They're the coolest things ever. And we love our TikTok drama with Landon. So can you talk about your TikTok drama while I pee? It's not drama. Is that a fair compromise? It's not drama. Is that a compromise? What does shipping mean? I can't believe you don't know what shipping means. You want two people to be in a relationship. You ship them. That's so Gen Z of you. Oh. No, like, what? Shipping is like. So you're shipping them. I feel like millennials ship people. Or shippers. We do. We just didn't know the term.
1:05:11Yeah. If there's two people that you like, but maybe they're not together, but they're like in each other's orbit. Yes. You ship them together. Ship them. Okay. Because I'm shipping them. Yeah. Okay. And typically there's like a ship name. What would be the ship name? Like well Landon and Ashton That's kind of hard because Like Elashton you mean Like Elashton ship I was trying to come up with your guys' ship name So let me ask you this Stas and Alex Becoming best friends I don't know anything about it It's interesting It's very interesting Do you think Alex, Stas and Kylie Are going to hang out Harrison's back I know we're only talking about I only I'm only asking that cuz you're gone or Stassi baby and Kylie on the outs a little bit maybe maybe minute might be I'm gathering that a bit yeah I don't know okay all right we can move on from it okay on to Harrison's tweet of the week, which I put on my Insta story.
1:06:26How does it go? Let me just give me a second. Let me see. It's something about an idiot in motion still goes further than a genius at a standstill. Standstill was the wrong word. At what? At rest. At rest. Idiots in motion still go further than a genius at rest. How about that? How about that for a little kick you in the butt? I love it. Yeah. I loved that when I read it. I sent two, so I wasn't sure what one was going to come up. That one. I'm glad you went with that. I think this lands as when we feel stuck in life, and whether that's where we still fuck. When we feel stuck. We still fuck. We've never done that.
1:07:11When we feel stuck in, make sure that in this, P, you're getting Jules laughing. That is not being cut. We're going to do the whole laugh. This whole thing is staying in. everything is staying in this is no cuts no but i'm not saying we're cutting i'm saying i make one we don't have three cameras going at all times so we need the camera on jewels for this whole laugh okay okay i just spit out my bloom i was hoping you were going to when you feel stuck this is a great thing to come back to and whether that's when you're feeling stuck professionally or romantically um or if you just feel like you feel underqualified Remember there - Sometimes you just got to - There might be people more qualified, smarter than you, but that doesn't mean they're in motion.
1:07:53Yeah. That was one of my biggest learnings in starting my business is when we first started working on the Naked Market, one of our partners, Tim, he's started many companies before. And we were what I would describe as business plan obsessed. Okay. and he was just like he really pushed the importance of uh hitting go and getting product in market because inherently you're never going to build anything just sitting in an office and you need a you need a ship and whether you're shipping a core product oh my god i didn't mean to do that whether you're shipping like a physical product you're shipping a digital product um it's important.
1:08:44You just got to get going. Well, it's not ready, aim, and aim. It's ready, aim, fire. And that's it. It's like you, I do think some people get stuck in perfect mode. They're trying to perfect it, but it's also a bit of fear, I think. Like I'm sure when you were business plan obsessed, you were also afraid of failing if you didn't have the perfect business plan. Absolutely. And it's like, just go. Absolutely. I didn't articulate that as I would have liked, but I think I helped you. The general picture was grasped, yeah. You know, they used to have a saying behind every great man is a strong woman.
1:09:10I was thinking about that. And I think that that saying has gone away. I think we have out-aged it. Just a random tidbit. I think in general now it's, you know, sometimes behind every strong man, number one is another man. Sometimes behind every strong man is a strong woman beside him. Sometimes behind every strong man is no one. I think now it's something that can be like in front of every strong man is a phone taking videos of his wife. No, I thought you were going to say, but in front of every strongman is a little chihuahua in the bathroom barking at him. That would have been better. Okay.
1:09:49Do you think cable providers are laughing at us? The average cable bill in America is$147 a month. And we just added up everything for streaming. Okay. How much do you think that is per month? Well, I'm glad you pulled this because I alluded to it last episode on how ridiculous things have gotten. $247 a month. Jules pulled it. if you have everything plus live tv because they act not cable i think that's the kicker is that when you have all these streamers you can't necessarily watch live tv and you still have to be able to watch live tv if you like tv well youtube tv is like almost the biggest non-negotiable to have 90 bucks a month yeah 82 yeah it's it's the biggest kicker of it of it like you need YouTube TV and then it's YouTube TV plus like Netflix or plus.
1:10:46But then everyone's watching a show and it's on Hulu. So you got to download Hulu and you got to get Paramount plus. Then you have them on. You forget you have them on. Yes. No, I'm with you. I'm with you on that. But what I'm saying is like the one, the one we're most dependent on is, is YouTube TV because of live sports. $83 a month for YouTube TV. On here she has. And does that include the NFL package? That gets the live channels. NFL Sunday ticket is$30. A month. When equalized across the 12 months. I know it's just for the season. $350. That's crazy. So yeah, I think cable. Do you think cable providers are laughing?
1:11:28What I'll say is they deliver on this NFL Sunday ticket. They deliver a really good product. Is that the one that the Bannings are on? no that's monday night football sunday ticket is basically the way it works is you get your local games for free and then a couple others but if you want to be able to access every game across the league you need and you always get monday night football for free and then i think thursday night football is on amazon prime um so if you want everything else you need sunday ticket and it's it's really good they give you the red zone which checks in with every game but then And what I love is they let you run the four screens.
1:12:12That people are obsessed with that. For the football, there's no like one thing where you can watch Monday, Thursday and Sunday. Like those are all three different services you need because that's a scam. Are you kidding me? Yeah, I think Monday night is NBC. Oh, my gosh. I think Thursday is prime and Sunday is local. Okay, predatory. So hold on. No, no, no. Here's where I got to stand up. I'm very mad at the World Cup right now, okay? Okay. I'm very mad at soccer as a sport. Let me rephrase that, okay? There's so many easy things they could do to take the sport from a 6 out of 10 and make it a 10 out of 10.
1:13:02And you think football's done that? And I think football's operating a 10 out of 10. Like, what my takeaway from the World Cup is, is we need to give more credit to the NFL. But that doesn't take away from the fact— We've nailed a sport. We've nailed—we end-to-end have the perfect sport. Okay, well, we're capitalizing on that by making people get three different streaming services. But, like, unfortunately— Put them all in the same one. Yes, it sucks to, like, make people pay for it. But, like, it's also just that good. But did the way that that go down is, like, they—so the football people had a committee.
1:13:35right and they were like all right we're gonna have football on three nights a week monday thursday and sunday who wants what and then they started bidding yeah they're like all right you got monday these rights and they sell them insane amounts and moving the nfl to thursdays has been unbelievable best it's been so good for uh for the league and for fans it used to only be sundays and and mondays oh yeah thursday night football great for people um okay well that is very interesting little tidbit it's it's gone up a hundred dollars these streaming platforms have added a hundred dollars to your bills did you adjust that for inflation jewels no that's today you can still get cable oh i didn't know that like how you just like call up spectrum or just get cable your cable providers i think we have it it's all like we i mean the thought of actually using cable though is a little crazy like what would you watch it's you're just batting at such a low rate on cable you're just not getting any like okay let me ask you this does summer house even air on a cable tv show yeah bravo and bravo has a cable tv show okay yeah and there's a delay until you can stream it okay that was bad but let me tell you what was worse yesterday not yesterday we were getting rocky's passport and we had to write a check and it was 62 cents and harrison did not know how to do the cents.
1:14:58I was going to ask you guys because that was going viral on TikTok is like, you know, those man on the street people that just go around and make you do things. They were making people that are like 22 write out a check and no one knew how to do it. They didn't know what zero zero over 100 meant. That's what he didn't know. The girl handed me very stressful. I was like 62 over 100. He was like, so she had to give me a post-it note and I had to show him 62 over 100. I don't write checks and cents. Of course not. And clearly neither do anybody else. roundup do you know how to address a letter what do you mean like if you did a handwritten letter do you know how to address it like write an address on an envelope yeah of course so apparently what's gonna happen allegedly like with our kids is one thing that's gonna be lost is like they're not gonna understand the way the address is populated on a on a formal letter like the two going in the middle and the return going yeah not our kids they're gonna write them in summer camp summer camp letters and they're gonna mail them home some people um you know how you can comment a picture on tiktok yes some people commented pictures of their children's letters scanned onto our clip i got sent one from a friend they're really cute yeah they're really really really cute because then you get to have them forever it's pretty it's honestly i was like okay this is adorable um okay things we learned kids and we're just gonna do a pause for harrison to put the phone down yeah Alex is at a trade show so he's just sending me some stuff I also feel like we're getting towards the end of the episode and that's that's a time to go harder honey not to not the not ready game it's ready game fire who said it boon boon pickens t boon pickens all right kids grow up 50 faster in late spring and early summer than in winter peak growth seasons is may through july do you know why vitamin d more sunlight longer daylight and hours the national cooperative growth study okay found growth rates directly tied to how many daylight hours a kid gets how fascinating is that i don't buy this better sleep growth hormones released during deeper sleep and summer schedules no early alarms xyz leads to deeper sleep so the kids are growing more but then is this more calories during a Spur kids need 25 to 50 % more food than usual.
1:17:21So they're growing more. How cute. This is coming from.org site. This is a.org. Someone commented to ask if we could cite our sources. Countries that get more. Yeah, I saw that last night and I think it's very valid. So countries that get more sunlight, are there people taller than countries that get less? You know what, Harrison? That's a great question. But it's not just going to be that. it's also we're also gonna have to look at the sleep and if they're eating more calories yeah and probably how happy they are summertime vibes are those vibes are higher yeah no but it exactly what alex said there's nutrition and weight or nutrition and wealth genetics a whole lot of things that play here things so they're just saying kids grow faster in the summer you can't buy that now hey now here now let me tell you this Harrison we've spotted two of these things suddenly suddenly eating you out of the house this is how you can spot a growth spurt Bubba has been eating us out of the house yeah she's food obsessed right now she's not like not food obsessed she's eating a ton of food yeah and it's like it's the cutest thing ever a lot of more more more happening clothes fit last week they don't now I noticed her Zara pink and red striped dress too short now too short it used to be a sack on her extra clumsy bones grow faster than muscles can catch up so coordination goes to hell for a few weeks i haven't seen that yet i've seen her kneeling someone i've been thinking that her legs get extra tired i've been seeing her just take a knee on occasion yeah i've seen that jules the other day we went on a walk and she just like like a dog like when a dog gets hot and a dog just sits down If I ever did that on our walk, I had to carry her home.
1:19:09I was like, oh, you tired? We should have flipped around earlier. She kept saying, go, go, go, so we kept walking. Yeah, she kneeled. And then mood swings or growing pains in the legs. That's probably where that came from, the kneeling. How cute. Her little leggies. I miss her. I miss her, too. So cute. Bigger of the week. Yeah, I think it's the 3 a.m. wake up. Also, I would like to circle back to the bicker of the week on Monday when I was saying if you eat the last egg, you need to alert the troops. Diana ate the last egg, so they weren't in there. I knew they weren't in there. What are we going on over there?
1:19:49He was just showing a thing about how Taco Bell is under investigation. Oh, juicy. But hold on, because it says as lettuce is like a supposed source of this. Like, it's not Taco Bell. I just, I think that that, but like, here's the thing, here's the thing. McDonald's has salads. You got to go to the, to the food supplier. Because the person who provides Taco Bell or lettuce provides a lot of other people that have lettuce. Right. So I guess like that. I think that that's just like a flashy headline. Okay. Taco Bell under investigation. Well, I do think that maybe all. How much would it trigger people if I went to Taco Bell right now and just like munched tacos?
1:20:31You'd be giving Amanda and West. Yeah. And what you're not getting H is the Joe like that is not a power play. If you get this thing, it sucks. Can you get it taken out of you? No, because if you kill your if you kill a parasite, you're killing good and bad gut health like you. It's like you. Yes, you can get a prescription of an antibiotic that I do think helps, but you got to be careful with that. It's tricky. That's it. We did it all. Well, hold on. Are we out of 100? I mean, because we would have literally done everything on this list if we do this one. 100 years of a stock market. No, we'll save that.
1:21:11From 1926 through 2025. We'll save that. 30 ,000 stocks analyzed. Can we save that, please? Mm-hmm. Thank you. Are you going to tell us about it next week? We're recording again today. So we have some things to talk about. We don't have anything, actually. We went through the whole list. Okay. Okay, well, we will dedicate a whole episode to the 100 years of the stock market. Perfect. We love you guys. Thank you for listening. Thank you for listening. Thanks for listening to another episode of Two Parents in a Podcast, powered by Just Media House. This week on Two Parents & A Podcast, happy Wednesday!!! TBH we started with a 10 minute spiral about CYCLOSPORIASIS (are you guys spiraling too???). We are officially swearing off produce for the time being (but if you don't want to, Dr. Brown taught us to stick to things with peels and still wash them!!). ok ANYWAYS - guess we are saving on berries for the time being…
We get into Tate's 3AM wake up: how we handled it, how YOU GUYS said you would handle it, and why we're chill with letting this happen (like once a year). But here's what we know now: we always need to have a game plan because we don't need any 3AM fights.
Plus, Tate has a new food obsession, Rocky is officially SOCIAL SMILING 🥹, and Alex gives an update on combo feeding vs. EPing at 3 months postpartum (mental load is a 2/10 vs. a 9/10 with Tate!).
And a bunch of quick ones: are West & Amanda pregnant (& poking fun at the rumors on TikTok??), Harrison almost getting in a fight in the World Cup bathroom, David Beckham lives in AMERICA?!, Harrison’s TWEET OF THE WEEK, cable providers officially laughing at us ($247/month?!), the lost art of writing a check, kids grow 50% FASTER in summer, and BICKER OF THE WEEK: Monday's egg bicker is officially solved.
LOVE YOU GUYS!
