In short
The hosts discuss pregnancy and impending labor—specifically labor induction (why it’s chosen, what to expect, due-date stats, and cervical dilation), “birth signs”/zodiac possibilities based on a cusp date, and the “craziest places to give birth.” They also cover parenting life (phone-free moments, a missed music class, upcoming dance recital/social plans), plus tangents on Facebook ticket scams, Canadian football rules, World Cup hype, and pop-culture/TV (Southern Charm, Euphoria, The Paradise recap).
Guests
No guests appear in the transcript. The episode is hosted by “Two Parents in a Podcast” (Alex, Harrison, and Jules are speaking).
Key claims
- Only about 4% of babies are born exactly on the due date; many arrive within a week before/after.
- Water breaks most often between 1 a.m.–7 a.m.; 8–10% can be pre-labor.
- Induction is framed as a personal choice for an “end date,” not inherently “more natural” or “harder” for everyone.
- Cervical dilation is explained with food-size comparisons (cheerio, tomato, roma tomato, etc.).
- Astrology is treated as “interesting” but not scientifically reliable; hindsight bias is called out.
Notable examples
- Induction scheduled for April 18 at 7 a.m.; last meal plan is a protein omelet plus one piece of French toast.
- Facebook ticket-buying groups are described as scam-heavy; account longevity is used as a “legitimacy check.”
- Paradise season one is graded (A/A-minus) for believable “normal people in crisis” writing.

Transcript
Automatic transcript. May contain errors.0:28This episode is brought to you by Fandango. So we have live experts on hand who can help answer any questions you may have. Questions like, can I claim my SUV is my home office if I answer work emails in my car? If I adopted 12 dogs this year, can I list them as dependents? And am I doing this right or am I doing this very, very wrong? Our experts have the answers to those questions and many others. Tax Act. Let's get them over with. Have you been on Facebook lately? Like core Facebook? no actually i can't log in i'm big on facebook what do you do on facebook stuff for this podcast we're big on facebook really it is another world out there and it is so hard to navigate what are you doing on facebook i'm i've joined your relationship status i've joined facebook groups to look for high rocks new york tickets it is it is the wild west because so basically these high rocks tickets for especially the big events like they sell it like that and so i'm trying to get new york tickets and these groups are so full of scammers and so like you post hey i'm looking for a new york men's open ticket and then you just get like ripped with comments and so you go through each one and um half of them or 90 of them are easy to tell they're fakes because it says like this account was created recently but then when you find an account that like has longevity to it it's like boom that's your first check mark and then um i found an amazing lady but like she wouldn't send me secondary verification so like i asked for their instagram or their linkedin so i can make sure they're real and um yeah no luck so far i had one lady that i verified i dm'd her on instagram and was like hey are you the person and i just look and on instagram she had like years and years of photos and she's like yes but it was like a mick I didn't like the ticket type.
2:27It was for like a doubles, which I want to do the singles. Do these people have early tickets? No, I missed the New York. You're trying to buy a secondhand. You're trying to resell. Yeah, the announcement date, which just sucks. Facebook needs to get the bots under control because that's annoying. I don't know how they do that. You have to do the same thing on Facebook Marketplace too. I love Facebook. I'm a big Facebook Marketplace guy. But you got to do the look at their history. You got to get more information out of them. I completely disagree. But what if somebody just said it? My Facebook history.
3:01Here's my Facebook Marketplace style, which is like your jaw is going to drop on this. And I'm completely undefeated on this. Okay. When I buy something on Facebook Marketplace, not only do I not pick it up and not verify their identity, I have them Uber it to me. and I've never been taken advantage of. Because I find cool little knickknacks or stuff for the man cave. Yep. Wow. You pay before receipt? I look at their accounts and if their accounts seem legit, I trust them. It's all local people. Yeah. Okay. They give me their address because I need the Uber address for pickup. I guess they could give me a different address, but I don't do any marketplace verification.
3:48They 100 % give you just a random address. absolutely yeah well sorry i go where's the i go where's the pickup and they give me the pickup and then i go okay actually i'm gonna send an uber there i'll give you the money i'll venmo you now can you please send put an uber okay 90 hit rate on that some people back out Really? Yeah. Well, there you have it, guys. There's your Facebook. It's liberating. It's liberating. But it's hard to find the groups and the notifications are all over the place. I'm not good at Facebook. I can't even log in. I'm a boomer on the boomer platform. Oh, yeah. Okay. All right, ready?
4:34We're going to start. Okay. Okay. Welcome back to another episode of Two Parents in a Podcast. cast. Harrison's got on a soccer shirt, a Canada soccer shirt. Canada soccer jersey. Just a novel branding there with the maple leaf out the top and the soccer ball out the bottom. Are they calling it soccer in Canada? Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Not football? Not football? No, no, we have football. Did you know that we have a different football than America? Is this on your radar? That's why she's asking, yes. No, Canadian football has different rules than American football. Yes, I did know this. There's something big, like you have like less halves or something.
5:15There's a lot of big changes. Not many less halves, but. Okay. The first is we have three downs, not four downs. The huge. The second is our ball is bigger and like significantly bigger, which makes it harder to throw. The field is wider. The end zones are twice as long. and then we've got like other weird-esque rules like if you punt the ball to the back of the end zone it's a point like i love canada obviously okay but america created this like groundbreaking sport best sport in the world did we create football i don't know i don't actually know if we created it but we took we took it and we just made it the best sport in the world It's massive here.
6:01And then you guys were like, let's just add some tweaks to it. What we have done with football is absurd. Let's widen the field. For what? It's completely absurd. Like, why? And to me, what's just tragic and what the CFL hasn't gotten on board with doing is update the rules to American rules and become the feeder league to the NFL. Correct. Because the big problem that you have is if you're good in the CFL, that doesn't necessarily translate to the NFL. Because the ball is bigger. And like running, you can't really establish a running game because you're punting on third down. So it's a very heavy throwing, a focus on throwing.
6:43It's a bit more like rugby, I guess. It's not like rugby, but the point is - I don't want to think about rugby. It's not. It's just like, it's ridiculous. It's one of the most ridiculous things that we do as a country is having just our own set of made-up rules. And it's not like other countries do this. Well, your neighbors are great at it. Like, here's a bit of a thing. Like, in Europe, in hockey, the ice rinks are bigger. So at least, like, if Europe played a lot of North American-style football and they were in those rules and it was like, that was how it was done everywhere x us we're the only ones to do it this way right so cfl in dire need of a rebrand in dire need to update the rules and please become the feeder leader of the nfl but to bring it to soccer okay well hold on can we get jules an answer well yes america did create football but i need harrison to say one nice thing about canada thank you i agree jules well i'm sure we're going to talk about their okay here's what's great about Canada.
7:53So much. Great skiing. Great maple syrup. Great manners. Lots of pleases. A lot of pleases, but what do we say about the road rage in Canada? The what? Oh, the road rage. They are angry up there on the road. Alex, the Canadian commenters want Harrison to stop the slander. I agree, guys. I'm with you. I love Canada. I love Canada. I love Canada. I mean, I'm Team USA, but you guys are my second favorite. I love Canada. We're in an era of room for improvement. And I think that's okay to say. You want what's best for Canada. We want what's best for Canada. Yes, absolutely. When Canada succeeds, we all succeed.
8:38But now what we need to, well, let's bring it back to soccer. Yeah. Okay. And why are we wearing the shirt? Why are you wearing the shirt? One dinette, because I'm not sure if it's on people's radios, but the World Cup is coming up. That's on our radar. Is it on your radar? Yeah, because of you. You're talking about it a lot. Okay. I didn't realize that. What I've been loving over the past 12 months is we've had these different country versus country sporting events. Right. So we just had the World Baseball Classic, which was - Venezuela. Venezuela won. We had obviously the Olympics, but highlighted by the hockey rivalry.
9:18and if you haven't previously watched the world cup it's one of the best sporting events that ever comes across i i've been once in person i went in brazil cool yeah i went with a group of guys it was phenomenal hope to attend a couple games okay this summer okay where um so vancouver is hosting i believe dallas is hosting they are they are i saw this yes and jules when you pull LA. LA. Mexico City, I think. Mexico City, Atlanta. And Mexico City is on my radar because we have a direct flight and I would love to go. I would love to go. Mexico City is a phenomenal, phenomenal place. We could go there.
10:03We can get there very quickly from Austin. Okay, so this is on your radar and you're going to watch and we're going to be watching. Yeah, and I saw this in my closet and I was like, you know what? What better time to start getting in the World Cup move? Way preemptively months ahead. But do it early. My yogurt that I'm drinking right now is World Cup themed. Okay, so they're promoing. Now's the time to promo. I just looked down when you started talking about it. I'm like, that's so weird. What's that called? If we build up the hype into it. Not that specific yogurt. What's it called when somebody brings something to your attention and then you start seeing it?
10:38Oh. What's that word? You know? hindsight bias? No, some fancy effect. No, there's some fancy word where somebody says baby 411 to you and then you start seeing like, oh, I want to get this car and then you start seeing it everywhere. What is that called? Somebody's going to be... The key to the Olympics, though, just so we're clear. Olympics or the World Cup? The World Cup. America needs to be good. Agreed. It's the Bader-Meinhof phenomenon. Nothing will be more fun than if America makes a run. It would be so fun. And you go to these public forums and they have big screens set up everywhere. And in Brazil, we spent a lot of time in Rio and they did it all on the beach.
11:27They have all these World Cup watch centers. That's so cool. Yeah. You've lived a lot of life. I want Canada to know we love them. We love Canada. And I also hope Canada goes on a run. Okay. Every time I read the Quince ads and they say now available in Canada, I feel like I'm part Canadian. To be clear, we love Canada. Yeah. We love Canada. Our kids are going to be dual citizens. Yeah, we love both countries. We love them. Oh, I'm so upset. It's not you, Alex. We've got great natural resources. Okay, but it's not me. It's you, Harrison. Okay, what are we talking about today? Induction. Why do I get induced?
12:04I think that that's been something that I talked about with Tate, but I haven't talked about again recently, and I'm getting induced again to why we're doing that. Birth signs have recently come across my desk, so we're going to discuss birth signs because the induction date is on the day before the cusp date, which is the 19th, so we'll talk about that. And then the craziest places you can give birth. Um, because you guys, this comes out on Thursday, which means I'm nine days away. So I'm, when I say I'm so excited, I am so excited. Um, but I'm doing this thing where I'm counting down. Like the time used to go by fast and now it's going by really slow, but you know, that's okay.
12:50Nine days. I can do it. Obviously. You're killing it. Well, I got excited because I posted, like, I feel like I'm back in the first trimester. Like, I'm having nausea. I'm exhausted. Food aversions. Like, I just am so blah. And people were, I mean, so many messages saying, labor's coming soon. Pre-labor signs. And I was like, cool. Really cool. But it hasn't happened yet. Well, when you told me that, it was like the reality check of, okay, if it happens now, like, is everything set up and ready? And it was, yeah, like, wow. like the back end is completely ready to go no hospital bag but other than that yeah but if i have to bolt out the door okay my water breaks i want a heating pad pair of pajamas my face wash and a pair of shoes that's it that's what i want just do not forget my heating pad that's it otherwise i can survive i cannot survive when the baby comes out the pain in my uterus i also think the like what what we experienced last time on on the diaper bag phenomenon is like obviously this is something that's like so talked about but like on the other end anything that we didn't have we just door dashed and so like and everything is available on door dash well i'm not sure i should be saying this is the guy no but i have like five friends to kind of reframe like why do I think that everything's ready but the hustle bag is because I think you realize I think my take would be you can pull everything you need together in two minutes or and I can pull it together for you and then anything we forget like our family will just bring or we'll just door dash or not an ad our friends will bring it to us but really truly if I just will want to wash my face and I'll want to change and I will want that heating pad.
14:42I love a heating pad. I've never met someone who loves a heating pad more than you. I didn't even know heating pads existed other than when I was very young. My grandfather, Harold, would use a heating pad. Oh, for what? And he would just always have one on his bed. Yeah. And since that time of me seeing his last heating pad, to meeting you. I had not thought about a heating pad or seen a heating pad. Love them. They're very niche. They are my coziest. Like, if I can't fall asleep and I just put that heating pad on my back and I put it on low right now, oh, and I turn the fan on. Like, I'm so cozy.
15:26We thought I may have been sick last night and Alex was being just so incredibly caring and she's like, is there anything I can get you? do you need do you need my heating pad and I like I weirdly like was sick in the middle of the night and I kind of just like woke up fine and I was just like the only thing what would you like thank you so much for the offer so nice of you because I know this is like your cherished item but like what is the heating pad gonna do you thought you got a fever and strep throat if you were on the airing on the side of cold I wanted you to have the heating pad no very nice of you I love a heating pad when I got the shakes.

18:54Having a kid, I thought about this last night. It's pure joy because the only thing they know how to do at this age is wake up and like exist to have fun and laugh and giggle and play. Like play is the number one word that exists in Bubber's brain. so she wants to dance she wants to go outside and beep beep beep beep she wants to sit in the driver's seat and pretend like she's driving so it's pretty cute stuff um okay is that all you want to say about that yeah it was a it was a nice nice little moment stopping in the bylar bylar's dance in spanish it is they love oh my gosh oh i signed up for a music class and it started today at 9 30 and i signed up for i got the text notification so i wanted her to start music class and i wanted her to start music class can we get her there no it's 10 30 okay so she missed she missed her first she missed her first music class well here's what happened i signed up for it three months ago and i wanted to do thursday afternoon and the website was so confusing that I ended up signing up or that all classes were full.
20:10I can't remember. But anyways, I ended up signing up for the Thursday time slot that we record. And so then I thought that maybe one of our parents could take her once I gave birth. Because like next week our parents can take her, which is great. Yep. Because they'll be in town. But like we missed it. We missed the first music class. I totally kind of dropped the ball on that. But I was excited about music class. But where I really wanted to go is to one of the old folks' homes and do music class on Wednesday. and they join in oh yeah we talked about this yeah we'd love that so i knew you can't you can't get a refund for this class so i knew a while ago like this time slot wasn't going to work and i didn't know what i was going to do about it but it's just dawned on me that i didn't do anything about it okay i was wondering where you were going with that and now i understand where you're going additionally additionally the other sign up as well or just tate just tate and i need to i need well because i wanted it to be i wanted it to be when our parents were in town they they had something to take her to after we gave birth how long is the music class it's like i don't know two months so i just thought it would be a fun thing to get her into because she loves music so much yeah now here's the second thing may 3rd yeah bubs has somewhat of a dance recital it's her last dance class yeah and it has a theme i think it's magic imagination so we got to get her an outfit but you go and they i got the email about it yesterday and i thought i would save it for today to tell you you go and they show you everything that they've learned in the class and we got to take our flowers we got to are we gonna invite people yeah we have to invite people and we have to take our flowers oh my goodness it's the cutest thing on the planet right are you gonna be may 3rd i will be there yeah i will be there i checked i think it's two weeks after a couple weeks i got it even if you just even if i got a scoot in there you're gonna carry me No, I'm coming.
21:57I'm coming to the dance recital. What do you think your first social outing is going to be following birth?
22:08Not including walking to the coffee shop. Oh, I know what it's going to be. This is kind of the social outing. So when we first had Tate, we went to this restaurant called Clark's. And we sat outside. we had an Aperol spritz and we just like rocked her and it's like my first memory of being out of the house. I would love to do that with him. So I don't know, is that a social outing? Phenomenal, love it. That's what I was looking for. Like what's the first activity that isn't just gonna be walking to, walking around the block or walking to a coffee shop? I also wanna have, like I'm so excited to have like my mom, Brent's here in Austin that I love so much.
22:46I wanna have them all over for like, I don't know, an hour and just be like, it's a come and go type thing. I'm going to be in pajamas. Please dress casual. But just like come by, say hi, see the baby. No gifts. But I do want to do something like that. Let's do a big Friday night dinner. I would love to. Like we could do something like that. But I'm hoping I'm manifesting a quicker bounce back. Let's talk. Let's do. Let's just talk about due dates here now. Okay. Okay. So my I'm just going to say the date that I'm due because I feel like I've said it. And then I'm going to talk about signs and things like that.
23:18So my induction date is April 18th. That's a Saturday and it's at 7 a.m. So I'm very excited because we can just go get a coffee and we can go get induced. Can you have coffee? Yeah. So you can have anything up until you get the epidural. And that's why a lot of people delay the epidural. Because once you get the epidural, there's no more food. There's no more getting up. You have to have a catheter and it's kind of become serious business. The only problem is if you miss getting the epidural, like let's say you push it till you're at a six or something. Well, a lot of times you can jump from a six to a nine really quickly.
23:59Then it's too late to get the epidural. Then you're having a unmedicated birth. Gotcha. So my vibe this time is I'm going in. I'm going to eat on the way there. What's the last what's that meal going to be? Probably. Here's the thing. I'm tempted for it to be a waffle, but I know that I should eat like high protein. so it lasts me and gives me strength so I'll go an omelet. Okay. A big omelet. I'm excited to make that omelet. And I would love a piece of French toast. Oh, you have some on your teeth. Wow, we're so far into the episode and you tell me that now. I love it. Thank you for that. Well, I just caught it now.
24:34I ordered a phone case today. Okay. I could not see that. I would have told you. It surely just moved there. I think it had to have just moved there. Well, forgive me if you're watching on YouTube and I've had something in my mouth the entire time. I, what was I just saying? Omelette beforehand protein. And French toast. One piece of French toast. On the neighbor's sourdough? That's what I was thinking. Yes, on the neighbor's sourdough. My sourdough update, by the way, is I've made one really good loaf and then I followed it up with one really bad loaf. But I've been feeding my starter, so I'm going to try again here coming soon.
25:15So we're going to just go. I'm impressed you've stuck with it this long. I love it, Harrison. I wish you would do it because I know you'd be good at it. Okay, so we're going in 7 a.m. I don't know when I'm going to have the baby. I don't know how birth number two is going to go. But we were looking at due dates. Okay. And did you know this stat? When it comes to due dates, 4 % of babies are actually born on their due date. But due dates are just this random date. They're not random, but they have to do with like your last menstrual cycle. and then they just kind of guess this should be your due date.
25:49So it's kind of an arbitrary date. And that reminded me with Tate, remember we went in, and they said, which due date do you want? And they gave us like September 20th through the 25th, and they're like, you can pick. And I was like, I'll pick the 20th because it's sooner. Like we get to pick our due date. And so 4 % of babies are actually born on their due dates, and most first-time moms deliver after their due dates, and then they say most of the time second babies come a little on the earlier side. It's like a little bait and switch on the first baby. Because you're mentally prepared for this day and it's actually later.
26:24Well, and then, so I texted one of my friends today. I was like, happy watermelon day. Because that's the day your baby turns into a watermelon is when you turn 40 weeks. That's really cool. Yeah, and think about that. Think, this is why they strap the watermelon to the men. Because these, I mean, these guys, they get heavy. Can I, can we get some, So 4 % are born on the due date. How many are born within the due week, within seven days? So most water break, oh, this is irrelevant. This is just a different stat, but most water breaks between 1 a.m. and 7 a.m. And about 8 to 10 % of the - That's really interesting.
26:57I know. So I guess when you're just most relaxed is when it happens? When you're most relaxed and you're laying down, that's most of the time when the water breaks and about 8 to 10 % of the water break in preterm labor. So most of the time you're having some contractions and then your water breaks and you're already in labor and labor started. But 8 % to 10 % of the time is your water break before contractions have started. So sort of like out of nowhere. All this kind of gets me excited. So I had looked up, what was your question? Because I had looked this up last night. 60 to 70 % are born within a week before or after.
27:3360 to 70 % are born within a week before or after. And that makes sense because it's so funny all of these things that are guesses still till this day. Because of course they can't predict when the baby's actually due. But it's funny that due days are just like, they're not such a blind throw, but they're a bit. So a lot of times when people say, when are you due? I always specify the 18th and that is the day because I'm getting induced. Like that's the day. That's not, I might go two weeks after. That's, it's the baby's due on the 18th. So why do I get induced? Now, inductions are a little controversial, not for me, but for some people.
28:13Controversial. Controversial. Is that how you say it? So with my first baby, the reason I got induced was I was throwing up every day and I had such bad pre-partum depression that my doctor was like, do you think you might be a candidate for wanting to get induced? induced and I was like, yes, having an end date would be so amazing for me. And then I made a video and I said, okay, I don't know much about inductions, but I'm learning about it. And I heard a lot of really good stories. And then, you know, you always have the people on the other side of the internet that are like, don't get induced.
28:50It's scary. It's not natural. Your birth will be harder. And I do think my birth was longer because I got induced. It was 36 hours. I pushed for six hours. You know, it was, it was tough, but that to me was the lesser of two evils. Although no option here is evil. That's what I pick. I replace, you know, a shorter birth for having an end date in mind. So again, with this one, my doctor said, Hey, do you want to set an induction date? And I was like, I would love to, I, because it's just number one, it's my body, my vibe, and it's my vibe to have an end date. And this baby's measuring bigger than Tate was, and I just want, even if birth is harder for me or longer for me, I'm good with it.
29:33I like getting induced. It's, I don't want to wait it out. And I know some people feel some type of way about that medically, but you know, I feel some type of way about a lot of things, including this one. Actually, I feel pro this, but I understand like, is birth easier if you don't get induced of course it is would your water breaking not be the best thing on the planet yes but for me like I just gotta have the end date it's amazing that you know what you want and I'm here to support you yeah and I and I came to you today and I was like do you think I should I should still get induced and you were like it's totally your decision um you were like you seemed excited about it having the date and I am like I'm just really excited about it and I don't need to let like noise into my head and listen I know me the moment it hit the 19th or the 20th I'd be like I should have gotten induced and so I get really excited about the end date I didn't even think about the fact that you could change your mind you could just not go yeah I don't think you need to justify it any more than it's what feels right to you and your doctor says it's safe so boom done anyone who's a parent knows feeding decisions aren't a one-time thing you make them again and again stage after stage, which is why we love Little Spoon, you guys.
30:50Too often, the options out there, whether you're feeding a baby, a toddler, or a big kid, just don't meet the standards you want for your child. Parents are constantly asked to compromise on ingredients, nutrition, transparency, even safety. And it really makes you wonder, why does it feel like there are more high-quality food options for dogs than there are for kids? So at the baby stage, Little Spoon supports babies from their very first feed with baby cereal and baby blends when solids begin, their first bites, their first spoons, all of it, you guys. And at the toddler stage, they have biteables, which are cut to size, pinchable meals that make the transition to the table feed feel easy.
31:27You will spend so much time of your life cutting up this food, and to have it done for you is amazing. And then at the big kid stage, as appetites and opinions grow, so does Little Spoon, you guys. And then they have snacks. Think smoothies, think yoga snack pouches. And they make even like the better for you versions of kids favorites, like the food we used to eat, like the cookie dippers. Feeding the kids doesn't have to be complicated. Little Spoon makes it easy with real nutritionally balanced meals and snacks designed for every stage. It shows up ready to go, takes the pressure off and somehow still gets devoured veggies and all.
32:01No artificial dyes, flavors or sweeteners either. And you know what? That's a win we'll take every time. Get 30 % off your first order at littlespoon.com slash two parents with code two parents. That's L I T T L E S P O O N.com slash two parents with code two parents for 30 % off your first order. Yeah, no, I'm not trying to justify it. Cause listen, I think if people ask me, cause a lot of times people need to get induced for reasons, right? And, and the other thing that you have to remember is also scheduled to see sections are scheduled. And so there's a lot of, you know, routes that are scheduled around birth, but mine is scheduled because that's, I love doing it.
32:39I love scheduling it. So anyways, I'm an induction girly. I'm excited about it. I love a 7 a.m. on a Saturday. Love it. But I had a friend who got induced at four. Her appointment was 4 a.m. I was like, what'd you do? Just like go to sleep and then like wake up. But I don't know. My biggest question is like, when are we going to have them? you know what's your bet how long do you think it's going to take place a bet uh 18th in the evening okay i don't know how many hours do you think how many hours do you think we check tomorrow do you think i'm dilated at all no have you seen those dilation charts no have you guys yeah i was told to say no that you haven't seen a dilation chart no i was told to say no don't say you dilate it don't say i think don't say what i think okay but you do think because then it could set false hope or expectation okay i think i'm at a one maybe a two but these dilation charts can can i pull up one on here yeah true to size you will fall over and die i saw one of these like I saw one of these at like a fast food restaurant or something.

34:10Okay, this is good. Here. Ready? Sure. A one. What do you think? Give me a size. I have no idea what we're doing right now. A Cheerio. Little. Okay. that's how open the cervix is which is what the baby comes out of this is so graphic two i didn't even know you were asking me and now i understand and this just feels a penny this feels way alex this feels like a lot right now i'm gonna skip to a six a roma tomato alex this is so graphic a seven the top of a soda can an eight no women go through birth this is how baby this is how we all got here and so what at a six what happens at a six aroma tomato when do you start pushing at a six no i think you push at a nine or a ten you push at a ten wasn't six critical i thought there was something happened at six i think past the six you can't get an epidural are you ready for an eight let's go a baseball here we go a nine yeah an orange it opens your body is your your cervix is opening this is like incredible are you ready for a tin a bagel it goes from a cheerio to a bagel it's unbelievable what the what the female body can do it's unbelievable Unbelievable.
35:47We have to like... Y 'all are champions. We got to take a moment to think about that. So when they're saying these numbers and they're like, you're at a six, you can imagine. The Roma tomato. I thought that was how far the baby was coming out. No, that's how far the cervix is opening. Oh, I thought... That's why I was so confused at the beginning. I thought it was like a one was like a centimeter. I thought that was that. That's how big the opening is for the baby to come out. And then we push the baby through that. Unbelievable. It's not gross at all. It's just... Why are you laughing? because you're funny i just didn't know we were gonna like go through the play-by-play of this well it's important to go through it i wasn't mentally ready my 4 a.m wake up brain is not was not ready for this i was all i got doing all the work so i should always be ready i got up at four with you we both did bubber wanted agua at four just really was thirsty at four it was really cute and then she went back to bed um okay that okay okay so anyways I don't know when we're gonna have the baby but the 18th is the day before the cusp date of being an Aries an Aries Aries an Aries or a Taurus but I did you and I's compatibility signs first because I knew this was not going to interest you is this a gender thing like signs because you don't care about signs at all like my care on signs is is zero out of 10 mine's not super high either but i am a bit fascinated by this but i don't have a friend a guy friend who who cares about a sign i'll go as far as saying i've never discussed a sign with my friends signs have never come up in the topic conversation i can't imagine some guys sitting around just like having some beers what are you is this like i'm a libra is this a is this a gender thing or is this my friend well i would say like not no probably zero men care about signs but not all women care about signs correct i don't care at all except the caveat is unfortunately i think a lot of guys have realized signs is a very good way to hit on women probably and so i think that i think that all sign converse i don't know a guy who who yeah who talks about signs in general unless it's under the context of their wife's gonna say mating
38:25their wife told them like they know because they're like oh my wife talks about this all the time she's an ex do you know what i am do you want me to care what you are no do you know what i am though i have no idea but if you want me to care i'll care no no i don't i don't care much i just do know what i am okay i'm a cancer okay you're almost gonna say i'd rather just like not know you're an aries wait is he an aries well i don't know he's a pisces because i'm a pisces so i did this wrong which is funny though because our chart did match this i don't think harrison gives like pisces can you google man vibes is march 12th a pisces is the internet going to get mad at me for not caring about no no okay no march 12th is a pisces I put in chat.
39:15Do you know what's so crazy? I copy and pasted this from chat GBT. I put in a March 12th man and a July 1st woman. I don't know. March like. Chat GBT. And this is a phenomenal example of it. Like as amazing as the 12th it is. It is very, very wrong about a lot of things. And it speaks to them like fact. Yeah. It spoke to me like fact. And then I was like, this is good. Yeah. Pass my phone. Let's see what it says. when I ask what sign, what is it called? Sign, zodiac sign? Zodiac sign. It's a zodiac sign. Well, this is what's funny. An Aries directness may sometimes hurt a cancer-sensitive nature, leading to misunderstanding.
39:56And sometimes you are so direct and you do hurt my feelings. Yeah, no, I mean that. But that's. Maybe I was born a Pisces but identifies an Aries. Yeah, maybe. But an Aries values freedom. yeah like a pisces man is like i only know this because i'm a pisces and i like i don't identify with pisces a pisces man is like sensitive and artistic and quiet like that's the whole pisces it is so absurd to stereotype a person i know i agree born over such a large period of time with those set of character traits but then you also have like a rising and a moon and a yeah Like dependent on like what time you were born and where and when and all of that whole thing.
40:43But cancer. So I when we first started dating, remember, I did this. Cancer. Our signs are highly compatible, but it's cancer and Pisces. OK, but did you get to the point of why we're bringing this up? Not yet. So, OK, because there is a reason why it was on the docket today. So the reason it's on the docket is because my dear friend Sammy, she said, OK, the 19th is a cusp day. So it'll be interesting to see with what, to see what you end up with. So this little boy in the stomach will either be an Aries or a Taurus. So the Aries, and you have to remember this is a guy, this is a baby boy in the stomach.
41:20Okay. Energetic, impulsive, independent and often seeking adventure and challenges. So that's, that's if they're born, if he's born early. okay Taurus is patient sensual and like grounded stable so they're two very different signs which I just find fascinating we'll just see what we get this personality could be totally different based on the days born I just do not subscribe to this you guys are highly compatible because you're both water signs we're compatible and it says you creating a fairy tale connection oh oh i feel like if you throw out enough statements like so enough of them will hit i mean i'd way rather be compatible than not correct i'm a bit of a um you know i am a vibes guy a bit of a what's called i said hindsight bias earlier in this episode i learned about that in ap psych junior year it's why astrology and like going to a psychic you just make everything fit because you can make anything fit in hindsight yeah correct that oh thank you jules that was very applicable yeah highly i hate to say it but this to me on a scale of importance in the grand scheme of things if it's important to you then it's as important to me as it needs to be.
42:51If it isn't important to you, it is a zero. I find it interesting. I find it, I don't. I support you finding it interesting. I never can remember what Bubz is. I always have to Google it. Every time I'm like, what is she? I have no idea what Bubz is. But you know who I do know? Me. Cancer. I know Jules. Jules Pisces. Jules and Harrison are four days away. Oh, and P. Cancer. P is a Cancer. See? Tate's a Virgo. Wait, no. Jules just said she was a Pisces. That's why I knew P. tates 10 17 no no 9 17 9 17 wait i looked up 9 17 virgo virgo looked wrong to me 9 17 looked wrong she's she was also on the cusp of a libra and a virgo i believe well i mean thank goodness she got a libra that would have been a problem yeah anyways i just how much time do you guys spend talking about signs i have some friends that are very into it and so i i don't like not subscribe to it i find it i'm like yeah i'm down well if if it's your thing i don't want i don't want to to no it's not for me yeah but some people don't care about uh the world cup there you go like everyone has there's different interests we're allowed to have interests perfect yeah this is some people's interest i just think this is a fascinating thing to think about Okay, here's my question.
44:12Who developed Zodiac signs? Like, where did it start? To me, the most interesting part of Zodiac signs is the movie The Zodiac Killer. I've never seen it. With Jake Gyllenhaal? No, haven't seen it. I thought that, I mean, I may be making this up. This could be a sign. Pun intended. About the San Francisco serial killer. Did he kill people with certain signs? They never found them. I don't understand how some of these serial killers go unfound Is there a Zodiac killer? Or make that up? Yeah, he murdered at least five people in San Francisco Based off of Zodiac signs? I have no idea But when I hear Zodiac, that's what I think of Speaking of people that I think are ready for a big comeback I feel like we have not heard from Jake Gyllenhaal in a couple years to go pop culture Jake Gyllenhaal is awesome His movies are awesome his shows are awesome Jake Gyllenhaal doesn't really miss I think we're due for I think he's been spending some time chilling and we're gonna get a lot from him I'm ready for a Jake Gyllenhaal How do you spell Gyllenhaal?
45:18G-Y-L-L Is that a good take Jules? Do we love Jake Gyllenhaal? No as a Taylor Swift fan What? Did they date? Yeah 10 minute All Too Well 10 minute song is about him yeah okay give me the tea jewels should i not like jake jillan hall he is an a list he's a list i've been asking i've been asking but but brad pitt and leo are a plus stuff on the t on the t it's this it's this smoothie that we had this morning okay it's gone i've been googling a lot about if oh it's chia seeds correct no it's not chia seeds it's the berries no i put in chia seeds okay maybe it's the chia seeds so jake jillan is a list Brad Pitt and Leo are the top tier a plus list yeah and I was very upset because I was chat GBT like are these people a list or not a list and the most surprising devastating one to me was Hilary Duff was a C that's more than accurate but only because what she took so much time off I love Hilary she can go from C to B very easily and then if everything like I think this current run she's on is going to put her from C to B.
46:34I think her output on this run will be, will determine whether it's stops out at a B or goes to A. Okay. Like, is this album going to slap? Is the two are going to be awesome? Are we going to get a couple of follow-up movies? She's going to need to nail everything to go to A. Is Lindsay Lohan A? No. No? What? She was A 20 years ago. At Mean Girls, she was A. But over a year, I think you drop from A to B and then drop from B to C. And so I think she's also sitting at C. You think Lindsay Lohan is a C? For sure. She was A-list, but today she's more of a B -. Yeah. She's a B -. Okay, who else? Who else is in that era?
47:21What's the deal with Jake Chilohawk? Like, he was much older than Taylor Swift. He missed her 21st birthday. That was the vibes. Just was maybe not a great boyfriend to her. Oh, that's not good. Britney Spears is permanently A-list. No, I just looked. Britney Spears is her own bucket. I agree with that. Britney Spears, Michael Jackson. Icons. Okay. These like icons who have fallen from grace. Elvis. I agree. yeah i totally agree with that yeah do you like that icon to have fallen from grace yeah yeah i i really i i really hope that britney spears can turn it around i saw that she's been spending some time with her kids which i think is really special for her there you are the baby's finally asleep the house is quiet when unwanted thoughts crash the party did i accidentally hurt the baby and not realize it or what if i'm a terrible parent everyone can see it but me?
48:22Or what if they're hot while they're sleeping? There's so many different versions of this, you guys, and your brain grabs onto that thought and it will not let it go. And that's where no CD comes into play. Here's the thing. A lot of new parents experience exactly this, and it's not just anxiety. Those thoughts that feel sticky, repetitive, and impossible to shake might actually be signs of OCD, a condition that's way too misunderstood and way more common in new parents than most people know. No CD is the world's leading provider of OCD treatment, and it's covered by insurance for over 138 million Americans.

50:05that west and amanda west and amanda despite the backlash are going to give their relationship a chance number one thing i saw number two thing i saw sierra posted a video interviewing sabrina carpenter on that carpet did you see this interviewing sydney sweeney yep sydney sweeney saying basically what would you do if your best friend is it cool if your best friend takes your ex-boyfriend okay so she's actually addressing it head on there's more to this okay i don't know what is it okay because this is an a-plus way this is it's it's sierra or sierra sierra sierra sierra this was an a-plus response from her on the red carpet hbo the question with an a-list celebrity correct the question that she asked was actually about sydney sweeney's character sydney sweeney's character cheated with the best friend on the show yeah so it was her way of addressing it without actually addressing it and then she has this power turn to the camera like this is this is where we're at so and took the high road cropped it on her social so we had no context and she posted it indeed i didn't see that but i give this an a i give this an a response posting it on her own on her own feed is her saying i co-signed this it's her putting a signature on it saying yes and like you did it with an a with an a with an a celebrity with an a platform of hbo with an a series in whatever it's called euphoria euphoria and a phenomenal outfit she looked awesome she looked incredible and then lastly um yeah she did it in a classy way i'm i'm i'm very happy with this i couldn't think of a better way to address it way better than some dumb cheesy story yeah she she addressed she's very do you know what i love about her right now too she's booked and busy she's very like not being petty but she's like i'm hosting award shows i'm interviewing people on the red carpet i don't have time for all this noise and i'm in glam it's just very it's just very high road yeah no i thought i thought it was i thought it was a great play what do you guys think about it taking four years to get season three of euphoria out didn't someone die yes but he's in the show because he they filmed it before he died and he will be in the show who died uh well actually two people died um what's his name that has ALS, Eric Dane, and then Angus Cloud, I believe his name was.
53:01He's not in the show. He had died in the show, actually. Wow. But it's been four years, and now I don't even know if I'm going to watch it. Well, I actually had thought it was over, so. Yeah. I've been waiting four years. I'd love to understand why as I'd assume that the rewatch rates will be a lot lower than one would expect if it followed the annual. Well, you always say you can't buy Momentum in IO. I think that they lost Momentum with the four years there. But let's talk about Paradise. Because I got some DMs from people saying that you're watching Paradise because we're talking about Paradise on here.
53:39I just have to say it's a phenomenal show I don't know do we want to give spoilers? so let's do a season one recap okay because we finished season one okay that I feel okay spoiling and can we please go and can we please give a grade to season one of Paradise oh I would give it an A minus okay okay I'd give it an A okay we're in the same league I thought that it was believable agreed key for me believable is key they made it so believable They took normal people. They took the president and the White House just like struggling to see, like to see this happening. And then when he goes and talks to the janitor and he says, I think his name is Jeremy.
54:21He's like, Jeremy. And the janitor's like, you know my name. And he's like, I think this is bad. Call your loved ones. He's like, no, I've been here for 9-11. I've been here for pandemics. Like I've seen it all. And the world's always ending. So they made it. They listed real life activities. And then they put this in there. were like, you don't believe that a pandemic can happen, right? We didn't believe it and now we do. And so I thought that was just like genius writing. I thought the acting was great. I thought the writing was great. I thought perfect amount of episodes, huge fan of how they end every episode, really hooking you to want more.
54:57The believability yet having a nice unique twist on it with the - What makes you think? like i love being able to like go into the show and say could this happen in my life like could we wake up one day and we get word there's this mega catastrophe that's gonna hit and like they're taking a specific group of people to a new land and then it's like okay you can gameplay would if you got put on the list or you could gameplay like do you if you're not put on the list what would you do but it's not even it's like a volcano could erupt which could cause a tsunami yes and a bunch of billionaires could dig a hole in the side of a colorado mountain yeah yeah they really made it believable yeah that could all happen like i asked some of my friends i was like who's watching paradise one of them was like i watched season one but it was too believable for me and i'm like correct it's very believable now season two i will not spoil for you but i will just say for i had to check 10 minutes in and we were watching the right show this is true i was like oh my god we we obviously got off of hulu and one more than i've liked season two so far but season two is still very much watchable how far are you into season two episode two it's that different yes whole new no they're they're tying it together already in episode two but like shailene woodley is in it oh she's like the main character it's really good season one is all in paradise and flashbacks season two season one ends with him leaving paradise and going back into the real world so season two you're you're in the real world watching it from their point of view yeah it's really i it's it's so worth watching Like in the thick of all of it, like, okay, let's say I don't make it, we don't make it to paradise and we're out.
56:57I think I'm 100 % surviving. After watching what's going on in the real world, I like my odds of surviving as well. Except there were areas where there was mass floods where you couldn't survive. But I love that we're in Texas. I researched that the high point in Texas, I think we could have made it to. Okay. That would have got us away from the storms. Okay. And like I know where we would have hid out. Well, it was interesting. We had a great place to hide out in Texas. Where? Neighbor T's Ranch. But here's the problem, H. This is a 300-foot wave. Well, that's why you get above 300 feet. And can we do that?
57:35Yes. In Texas? Yes. Okay. You didn't have – they had about 10 minutes. You get to high ground. No, you don't have 10 minutes. Like some people had 10 minutes. Some people had more. But I think like in Texas, I really feel like we would have, we'd navigate it. There's also these bunkers that they urged people to go to. So I thought a lot about this. I would not have gone bunker. I would have gone high ground. I agree with that because bunker is just like we're waiting on the world to sink in. Yeah. And just like if your bunker, like. I'm with you. I struggle with the oxygen dynamic of it. If water starts getting into the bunker.
58:12I don't want to go that way. I just 100 % expect flooding to occur. Where are we going here, Jules? Well, have you guys seen that bunker guy that makes bunkers for all the celebrities? No. He's from Texas. And he makes videos of these bunkers. He makes Atlas survival shelters. Interesting. Because you would think. I know where we should put our survival shelter. Where? I have a good place for one. And it's high ground. Okay. Don't tell me on air. Tell me off air. But there's just like one guy he's cornered the market on celebrity bunkers. But it's interesting they're letting him make content of that.
58:47Yeah. You think that would be top secret. I'm just going to text. I'm going to group text with you in it. About a bunker? Yeah. To who? The neighbors? Just doing some bunker planning? The other show that we're going to watch because we're going to run out of episodes here. I'm trying to get us to the birth. We're watching a show and is Neighbors and Friends. what's that it's with that guy you'll know him the minute you see him he is like oh what your neighbors and friends yes what's his name um john ham i saw him on the street once in new york did you yeah i was walking past him and i didn't see him and he was walking with this gigantic dog and he like tightened his grip on his dog so then i tightened my grip on my dog if you're showing me that sign.
59:37And I was with my friends and they were like, that was Jon Hamm. And I was like, I was just paying attention to the safety of my dog. Wow, Jon Hamm's got a big dog. Wow, genie bears. He's got a big dog. I like Jon Hamm and I don't know why. He's cool. I don't know much about him, but he's just a phenomenal character in all these shows. Did he just debut a young girlfriend? Did he? You know who I think debuted a boyfriend? Who? Jennifer Aniston. Well, she 100 % did. You think? It wasn't a thing. She did. I thought her boyfriend was AI No I'm so happy for her Have you seen his profile? Yes It looks like one of those AI motivational speakers He's precious I'm so happy for her Well he's very good looking I think Brad Pitt broke her heart He looks I guess what I'm saying isn't landing No I understand But he looks like Like the type of content The way he looks He just I was like this is This guy is AI vibes Oh I hope he's not AI I hope he's real It'd be pretty funny if ship of jenna bannister and an ai boyfriend i hope that he's a real boyfriend that'd be very good for elon musk that would be great for you because it would be a tesla robot
1:00:44what did john ham have a young girlfriend i don't she's 37 so like okay so that's he's 55 i feel like that's that's a nothing burger i'm fine with that i'm just fine with that that's a nothing burger who's ready for summer those vibes are kind of coming i'm ready for summer house see what I did I mean if you have to point it out remember it's never as good if you have to tell us oh okay wait tell us why did you say that do you have something to talk about on summer house no I don't we don't nothing additional no just hand me that phone hand it right over here to me it's like such an era thing I'm not gonna so remember I texted that you can tell if we keep this in or not but so I'm going to do the Washington DC high rocks on September 4th and I want to do the Friday race and then we'll go and we'll have like a fun weekend in DC and so I text a buddy to from New York because we were talking about trying to do New York together it's like come down and do DC it's like amazing he's like we'll do the race Friday and then we'll blade down to the Hamptons for Saturday morning I'm just like dude what life do you think I'm living right now Alex is gonna want a hot three years ago yes but I'm not blading anymore blading is in my past life because we have a child well I we can't go on the same blade that wasn't the point it was just much more so like when I look at Labor Day weekend is that Labor Day that's Labor Day September is Labor Day when I look at Labor Day weekend I'm looking at it as like going and seeing some I'm like, going to some Smithsonian museums and some nice big fun dinners.

1:05:11It's really cool. She made it very not stock. She took it away from like a stock pool, which it was never a stock pool. At the end of the hot tub. She vibed it up. She added two feet and there's a bar with bar stools. Cool. And then there's a big like bar counter with a barbecue. you love it so you can cook people can hang up by the pool then there's a little sitting area it's gonna be good i'm excited i'm very excited about it i think that we're gonna do a lot of pool time bubs is swimming lessons start soon yes we're getting a pool gate thank you for asking i do appreciate there's some types of feedback that i really appreciate and safety is one of them so thank you for that um and i also wanted to give an update that i'm making colostrum i think that's important to tell the people very important very important that's a sign of labor um i didn't do that with the tape but i'm doing it now and that's yeah that's what else is on the docket i think it's exhausting i think it's making me very hungry you're killing it what else on the docket okay i'm so the other day i said to harrison i have a question can we discuss what's on the docket and then we mutually choose what we talk about i would love if we could mutually discuss texas roadhouse because nothing sounds better to me.
1:06:29If you love it, we're talking about it. Okay, let's just do that. Okay. Texas Roadhouse, I said to Harrison the other day, there's nothing I want more than a homemade flour tortilla and queso, but I want watery queso. I do not want fancy queso with a bunch of stuff in it. I just want that watery Tex-Mex queso. And he said to me, it's probably not even queso because did you know that the Texas Roadhouse cinnamon butter isn't butter? And I was like, the rolls with the cinnamon butter? Yeah, it's vegetable oil and honey. Like soybean oil and honey. It's not butter? No. How do you know for sure? Because I saw an Instagram video.
1:07:11I did Google it. And I was hoping Harrison could maybe explain something. But on their menu at Texas Roadhouse, they're allowed to call it butter. Because menu naming conventions, it seems like a lawless land. they sell it in a tub can't be called butter it's called honey cinnamon whipped buttery spread oh my gosh that's like groundbreaking the the good thing about the package food industry is um while there is room for improvement on how different things are marketed and like i think we talked about that gushers thing at one point like you can't be blatantly misleading and I didn't realize that on a restaurant menu, you can be blatantly misleading.
1:07:58So that's really, really surprising to me and that feels like something that needs to be solved because inherently, I think it's all about the consumer getting what the consumer order is being aligned with their expectation and calling something butter and it not being butter, that is wrong. Why not just make it butter though? On the menu, it's called honey cinnamon butter. That's exactly what it is. Honey cinnamon butter, I thought. So now you're telling me it's what? Vegetable oil with cinnamon. Vegetable oil with honey, to my understanding. I think you should just run it for me. The only silver lining is that's not dairy, so I can have that postpartum.
1:08:43Do you remember somebody brought this to our Friendsgiving? They brought these tubs and they were such a hit. People were just, they were dunking. dunking like people love this stuff i would like you to sound off in the comments if knowing it's not actually butter affects your desire to eat it well i think it goes back to a big thing with restaurants and it's why i pared back so much of my restaurant eating is like you just don't know what you're getting i didn't realize it was to this extreme but like you just don't know how they're cooking it but now what we're learning is like what we're ordering isn't even actually what we're getting like it's completely fucked up like this that needs to change it's disgusting That needs to change.
1:09:19Well, I just think why not make it butter? Because it's cheaper to do it this way. That is disgusting. Yeah, but you're fucking, you're misleading your customers and you're hurting your health. Is the Bloomin' Onion even onion? It better be. We need to start asking these questions. Now I'm mad though. It's absurd. I don't want to have to ask that question. I was trying to think of other things that like weren't what you say they were. and this is packaged so on the on the bottle it does say chocolate beverage but i was thinking of yoohoo yeah you guys have yoohoo chocolate chocolate milk as i would call it and there's not even milk in it because it's shelf stable no it's chocolate beverage ew now i'm wondering about all the chick-fil-a sauces is honey mustard even honey mustard but that that thing is like you need to look at and then this the this brutal thing about then what's looking at looking at what's in the ingredients is you're going to see nine other things listed that you can't pronounce, don't know what they mean.
1:10:19And then when you put them into Google or whatever, they're just like jacked up preservatives. Man, we have just that. Yeah, our food system sucks. Sucks. There you go. Thank you for summarizing that because that was overwhelming for me to make a statement to summarize that, but you did it. But you know what? This is probably a good transition into. My coffee order? No. Oh. To what? The clothing thing. uh lead into baby's clothes yeah yeah that that that to me though is actually not on my i would not like to discuss that okay it's overwhelming to me to go from food to then talking about that there's letting kids close like where are we supposed like i don't want to just do doom and gloom well and i think that's the the takeaway is like you look at at the supply chains across industries and they're all contaminated with so many different toxins that it does become completely overwhelming and it's just like as a consumer like you want to do what's best for you and your family but like deciding what to cut versus what to keep is um is not clear and there also isn't an agency that is unbiasedly grading different foods and grading different clothings and so it feels like a big need for either a business to solve or a government organization to get behind because whether we're talking about microplastics or we're talking about lead and clothes or we're talking about food being blatantly mislabeled on menus allegedly like either way yeah it's overwhelming and you want to do its best but you can only do so many things well what i think is frustrating what are the five things that i need to do not 100 what are the five here's the thing so basically what i wanted to skip was that there was lead found in baby clothes and so if you're telling me there's lead found in baby clothes and all of our attention this is this is why it's exhausting then we all go okay we don't want any more lead in the baby clothes or maybe it's microplastics we want to get rid of all the microplastics in the house well Then you bring in other baby clothes.
1:12:32And I don't know, maybe there's tar in those baby clothes. Like we don't know where to begin and end on what we're supposed to stop doing and start doing. And it's like it's above my pay grade. Like I don't know that stuff. And so you're just like blindly following these accounts that are saying this is bad. This is good. This is bad. This is good. And at the end of the day, I just. And you don't know what's real. You don't know what's real. You don't know what really harms you. The need for a trusted, independent, third-party testing agency who will look at a brand holistically and say, hey, these clothes for your kids are, you know, an A or A plus or A minus.
1:13:09And this brand for clothes is a C plus. Right. But it's not anything I've really seen. Well, I saw a guy make a video about Diet Cokes. and Diet Cokes have recently been coined, you know, the fridge cigarette and they cause cancer and they're bad for your brain and X, Y, Z. And he's coming on. I think he's a doctor of some kind. And he's explaining to you in order for a Diet Coke to actually harm you, you would need to have, and he says like 3000 Diet Cokes a day. Well, I don't know who to believe. And then in order for me to figure out if that was true or not, I would need to go get a degree.
1:13:43I would need like, it would take, it would take years for me to solve that question of if Diet Coke's actually bad. I just want somebody to tell me, you Yes or no. The other side to it would be the camp that talks about how aspartame leads to increased food cravings. That's true. It's not necessarily the Diet Coke. It's what you crave after the Diet Coke. And so the whole point is the list goes on and on. And as consumers, we sit there left over. Well, I'm sure it's what we're researching over there. What does it do? Move to a farm and just make our own everything? I just remembered from a podcast that there was like this third party that ranks baby products and grades them.
1:14:22And I was trying to find that, but no such luck. Did you find it? Oh, no. There was the app that would rank face washes or your beauty products and you would scan it and it would tell you, it would give you a grade. and I just remember the grade it was giving my favorite skin wash at the time which was called zo's um skincare which I loved and I remember I scanned it and I posted the rating and it got like an f minus and then I asked my dermatologist I was like this got such a bad rating she was like it does rank bad because of these things but you actually need these things because of your skin type and it's just like I'm chasing my tail like I think Alex Earl's actually dealing with this right now where she's getting some backlash on her skincare and I see some videos explaining the ingredients saying these are bad then I see other dermatologists and like very well educated people coming back on and saying no no no these are good for some people that have acne and it's just like I don't know we're at the mercy of the internet but I do I do want Alex Earl skincare brand to really succeed I think that it that was like a really cool thing for her because I know she struggled with acne and I think like I don't think she needed to spend two years of her life creating this product and I would assume it's really good.
1:15:36Yeah. So to that I say I'm proud of you. Very nice. Yeah. And I think that the whole marketing campaign she did was very good. Okay. Ready to do. I think we've got time for one more thing. Okay. And just because of I would like to talk about my coffee order one at some time but I think that it will always be my coffee order and that that topic will always be there. And I'd like to talk about your coffee order when you're not pregnant. Love that. That's actually great. But what is applicable to the timing of our life right now is like the craziest places somebody can go into labor. Because I'm walking around right now, one week away from giving birth to a baby, thinking about all these crazy places that you go into labor.
1:16:16And a woman went into labor on a flight to JFK this past week, and it was delivered by the flight attendants. Which is crazy, because I always think about, well, I wonder how far along she was. But here's the quote. The airline commends the professionalism and measured response of its crew who manages the situation in accordance with established procedures, ensuring the safety and comfort of all on board. If I was on board an aircraft and a woman was giving birth, I would feel for her. So she was probably so scared. And these flight attendants like you just know were also probably scared, but went into fight or flight mode, no pun intended, and like delivered this baby.
1:16:56I think it's incredible. Can we pull up death rates of childbirth in the 1950s or 1920s? Versus now? Yeah. So then we were - In North America. And the reason why I want to pull this up is because it feels like we've come a very long way medically. We have. In terms of the safety of delivering a child. And I think a large part of that is having a kid in the hospital with doctors and the tools and so on and so forth. Well, and the ability to get scams along the way. Yeah, but the scariness from the mom's perspective from not having that equipment there is, oh, it makes your stomach drop. Yeah, I would just, I really, I'm so glad this is a story, a success story.
1:17:59I'm so glad they successfully were able to get the baby out. Yeah. Are you looking for maternal mortality or baby? Baby. I guess both. Yeah. Like it just. But dying and childbirth used to be a lot more popular. Yeah. Popular is the wrong word, but. Common. Yes, a lot more common. Hold on. I got to get Trap GPT up. What were you using? I was, I'm in Google. Well, why she looks up that, can I tell you the craziest places people have gone into labor? Would love to hear. The first one, a Krispy Kreme parking lot. During an Alabama winter storm, a mom gave birth there, and the baby's birth certificate reportedly listed Krispy Kreme as the place of birth.
1:18:45Wow. Kind of iconic. Number two, the front seat of a Tesla near the George Washington Bridge. I'm on the George Washington Bridge. What? She couldn't get off the bridge. She couldn't get it off the bridge? Oh. She was stuck in traffic. She was stuck in traffic on a bridge. Oh, my God. One mom had worried all pregnancy about getting stuck in traffic in winter and then basically lived out the exact scenario. Inside of a Walmart in Texas, a woman went shopping with her family, went into labor in the store, and Walmart employees jumped in to help. I would feel good about doing it in a Walmart because whatever you needed, they would have on the shelves, a lot of it.
1:19:22So I'm feeling good about like diapers and swaddles and all of that, being able to come to the front. This next one I think is my worst nightmare. That I hadn't thought about. On a New York City subway car. Brutal. That is the one that feels most avoidable. No. None of these are avoidable. If your water breaks and that baby comes fast, it's over. Maybe you had no labor signs. But you can get off of a New York subway in like a minute, two minutes. But then you got to give birth in the subway station? Like a pig in the subway. This one was the 34th Street. You're having a trainer in the station.
1:20:04In February 2025, a woman unexpectedly gave birth on a subway train at the 34th Street Herald Square Station with the help from fellow passengers. That, you say that's your biggest nightmare? One of. Yeah, that one is. An airplane is a big one. An airplane's a big one. What would you prefer, airplane or subway? So I'm preferring subway because I think you can get to a hospital a lot faster. if you're on the airplane and you're flying from LA to New York and you have three hours left do they make an emergency landing for one person having a baby I don't know at least in this most recent case they didn't have to do that they did not declare an emergency that was something that was stated in the article but in what like how early did the baby come I don't know I did google that as well at 32 weeks is when they can just deny you access to the plane so I would assume it was earlier than 32 weeks so is that why they don't like is you not being able to fly late in pregnancy is that a health issue with the baby and the mom or is that because they want to avoid people having kids on flights i think it's probably both because you could probably get what's it like blood clots or something like that yeah because i think i think the bigger the baby i don't know do not quote me on this i would assume the bigger the baby the slower your blood uh like everything slows down the point the point i was trying to make before was just like how scary it would be to not have like the proper resources around you and like oh my god whether that's at home or like people who do that home thing or or at the hospital and i the maternal mortality rate back in the 1920s was 800 deaths per 100 ,000 people.
1:21:51Now it's 23. Okay. That's actually a lot lower back then than I thought. And for the babies, infant mortality, it was 86 deaths per 1 ,000, and now it's five. Wow. So we've gotten it down quite a bit. Yeah. Yeah. And so it just goes to not being in a place where you have resources around you would just be so scary. yeah like when my blood pressure dropped really low but they were able to just keep saying baby's fine baby's fine like yeah you can have all this stuff going on but it doesn't read but they were they would be able to know if it did reach them you know so that's um that's pretty incredible okay i think that that well the other the last two on the craziest places to having gone in labor in a hotel room on a work trip i put that one in there because i was like what's this person doing on a work trip.
1:22:43Like, why is their employer sending them on a work trip? Correct. That late in the game. She thought her due date was still weeks away and then realized she was in labor and delivered her son in a Georgia hotel room. And the last one is a McDonald's parking lot in Michigan. The baby ended up with the nickname McFlurry. That is funny. These are unbelievable. Well, the mothers giving birth are absolute champions. I'm trying to think of... In and out of the hospital and in the parking lots. but but i do think about sometimes like if i saw somebody driving really crazy on the shoulder of a highway maybe they're going to the hospital maybe they're not just running late for work one day maybe they're going to give birth but where would be my biggest not nightmare because on an airplane or an nyc subway is pretty gnarly to give birth on but i'm trying to think i'm trying to think of like around town live on the pod what yes live on the pod That would probably be the worst.
1:23:42My water breaking would be the worst thing that could happen. And then having to give birth in this room. Sponsored by Del Trum's Hospital. I do want people to tell us in the comments. I'm sure people have some crazy birth stories. So do please tell us your craziest place that you've given birth. Because I can only imagine. I'm sure there's a lot of shoulders on the highways. Where I do believe cops and firefighters, if you call them, they come. But I've been thinking about this scenario. like your water breaks on a walk and then like you have to come and get me and then they say go directly to the hospital and then i wonder how often doctors and nurses have to come out and meet you at the car and you give birth there i'm sure that happens a lot i'm sure those about because our hospital has valet guys i'm sure those valet guys have seen a lot yeah but you can transition them to the bat to that bed yeah no i'm just saying i wonder how often they're like downstairs you're ripping through and then they're like okay push so we love you guys thank you for listening and we will see you next week where i have two episodes left except we're going to record the night before we go in so we can do like the night before recording which i'm really excited about um and so we technically have three episodes left okay love you guys thank you for listening thanks for listening to another episode of two parents in a podcast powered by just media house If you enjoyed the show, don't forget to like, subscribe, comment, rate, and review.

This week on Two Parents & A Podcast, we’re talking labor induction, due date myths, and birth signs (because YES, we are officially T-10 days and I’m overanalyzing cusp babies, my last meal before birth, and why hospital bags are such a thing in the first place.) We also get into WHY I’m getting induced again, the fact that dilation charts are absolutely insane (Cheerio -> BAGEL?!), and the craziest places people have given birth (NYC subway car = new fear unlocked), which, if anything, did not calm me down at all.
We start with Facebook in 2026 being the actual wild, wild west, Harrison getting very locked in for the World Cup (turns out it’s not for 2 months??? but it’s EVERYWHERE), and the realization that kids really do teach you to stop and smell the roses (literally). Plus, Tate’s first dance recital is coming and I’m already emotional about it.
Then we get into a little pop culture break, including who is actually A-list (apparently NOT Hilary Duff??), West and Amanda (skip if you must), and our Paradise season 1 review.
Plus, sorry, we have like 10 minutes of doom and gloom: (1) Texas Roadhouse “butter” not actually being butter, and (2) lead found in baby clothes (guys... being a consumer is hard).
Okay, finally, we end with something to celebrate: a plane passenger gives birth mid-flight, and both mom and baby are healthy!!! I tried to think of the craziest place I could give birth and we figured it out (LIVE ON THE POD hahahha).
LOVE YOU GUYS!
